Chine finally home. She look into her sister room and knock.
"Venice!" chine calling her sister.
"Yes momshie!" Venice answerd.
Venice is 8 years old, a grade 3 student. Smart and beautiful like her sister. She call her sister momshie, bcoz chine is the only one, acting like her mother,always by her side and guiding her.
"Hows school?" Chine ask.
"Its great" Venice answerd.
"Sister dont worry to me,"
"Im a big girl now". " I can handle my self." Venice hugging her sister.
"OK." Chine sighed and patted her sister hair. 
"Just tell me anything happened.?"
"OK?" Chine assured her sister.
"I'm going to prefare our food, minute later you can eat dinner." Venice nooded.

After dinner, chine sat down on bed,searching for a partime job this coming vacation on her laptop. She send resume to 3 company, a minute later she fall asleep.

@school.

Today is the most hated day of all student. The exam started, all of them quietly answer their exam paper. As usual, being the top 1 jelo finish the exam fastly, followed by Nara and chine. Finally the exam is over. 

The next day, the exam result will be posted at bulletin board. As expected, the ranking has not change, jelo is top 1, followed by Nara and Chine.

Time past, their graduation will be held 1 week from today. Their teacher will going to announce the valedictorian.

Everyone felt happy and the other are sad. At last there high school journey ended next week.

Chanda, " let's grab a food?" Asking chine and Luna. "OK" luna and chine agreeing.

Luna, "chine, your grade is high, so the school can provide you a suitable university for you." 
"Yes". Chine answers
" Hans University". Chine added. Hans university is a well known university, student with higher grade can enter that university without taking the exam with a full scholar, minimal for those student passing the intrans exam can enter the university, except for those rich with a high backer can enter to.

" Did you decided what course you want to take?" Chanda asking chine. "Yes" "I want to be a doctor (neuro surgeon)." 
"Huh?" "I thought you take cpa?" Coz your smart with those numbers.
 "I change my mind,I want to help those whose in need". Chine say with a smile looking to her two best friend. 
"Luna, did you pass the exam on Hans University?" Chine ask Luna. "I'm still waiting for the result."
"Maybe tomorrow or the other day"
 Luna hoping to pass. Luna is talented in disigning, that's why she wanted to become a fashion designer. 
And upon looking to Chanda, she's the 5th lowest in there class. 

"don't worry chine, " I had a plan to." 
Chanda nodded to chine. Chanda all she want is to become a stylish and make up artist.
 "I already choose to take my course in sma school." A 2 years vocation school. Seeing Chanda's Positive look, Chine and Luna hands up for giving a good vibes to chanda. 
After finishing there food they go back in there class room. 
Seeing those classmate chatting and laughing, made the class room so noisy, chine can't stand it, so she decided to spend time in library. 

"I go to library". Chine told to her friend. " OK" luna and chanda agreeing. She left her two friend.

She decided to get a book " the doctor's." Sitting at the corner table, chine was so interested focusing into her reading , while a few minutes a guy sit down in front of her. She didn't mind who it is. She continue reading. Until…

"Do you want to become a doctor?" The guy ask. After hearing the voice, she lift her head and look forward to Jelo. 
For the first time in her high school life, this guy is talking to him now. She never expected jelo, talk to him, she know his attitude, he can only speak when somebody ask him and when he need to participate in school activities. It means jelo is a very serious guy, so no one can dare to mess him around, but he is so kind. Jelo has a strong personalities, which every girl can fall inlove anytime. Looking to his handsome face, his beautiful chinito eyes that anytime disappear when he smile, his pinky small soft lips. His skin is white, his so tall like a basket ball player and his masculine features looks good, oh my god. His totally a prince charming of every girl dream. Chine didnt realize she's staring jelo for awhile. When, 
"Chine?" "Are you OK?" Jelo say looking at chine. That time chine go back to reality. 

"A,ah yes!," "I take this course". Chine replied. Her cheek blushed upon thinking what she think on jelo. 

" that's good." Jelo replied.
 A long silence has come between the two of them, chine make a slight look into jelo. Wondering she felt some strange feeling that she never expected, her heart beat like a running horse, fast beating. This time she get distracted, can't focus reading. Without hesitation she stand up and pick those book she read, and left without talking to jelo. Jelo left in library and Sighed looking to chine's back walking far away. 
He felt something to this girl, he is smart, but this time he can't understand her self.

Oh well, here I am after going totally MIA. Um well, reread the first few chapters if you want as I have changed some bits up to about chapter 4 I think and then I have done some small pretty much unnoticeable work on the other chapters. 

Well, now that we are in this world crisis situation with a lot of things in a mess the reason why I'm even writing this message chapter is because while I haven't started today, only been fixing old chapters I am considering starting to write on a new chapter tomorrow. We'll see how I feel tomorrow but I just thought it might be relaxing to just sit down and write for once. Well, I normally go about my free time reading or playing games. I do have an exam scheduled to do distance on the 3rd of April that I do need to study for and my apartment is in a heap of a huge mess so I do need to clean but....

Ah the worries of a university student in troubled times. I do live in the riches Nordic country of Sweden but with this pandemic, there is also an economic crisis with it.

Anyways I want to quickly actually explain some other stuff about my uni life. My University has four reading periods and six exam periods, there is an exam period, or reexam period at the end of August and after that reading period 1 starts at the beginning of September and lasts until the middle-end of October. At the end of October is the first exam period during Halloween. The second reading period starts at the beginning of November and ends in the beginning-middle of January but there is also and reexam period before Xmas. 

In the middle of January is exam period 2 and reading period three starts by the end of January to the middle of March, that period I just had. Now by the end of March is the third exam period and after that by the beginning of April to the middle-end of May is the fourth and last reading period. and of course the last but not least exam period at the end of May and beginning of June.

Each of my reading periods normally has 2 courses each and this is the case for the upcoming reading period. Out of the two courses I got a message from the teacher of one of them that he has built up a plan for us to do distance studies all the way until summer, this is a big responsibility for me. 

My University switched to distance as soon as the Swedish government announced the recommendation on March 17th and my exams did get pushed back by a week.

Why do I tell you guys this? Mainly because I want to.

Anyway, don't put too high hopes put there might be a new chapter coming out soon.

It has been enjoyable one but the release rate will surely be decreased when my university starts.

"Everyone would you look at this!" Esmee said as she looked at something on her phone. 

Everyone surrounded her.

"It's a picture from the students of our sister university; the New University of Amsterdam." She continued.

Kashala, Mashika and Milandu were slightly shocked when they saw Kadilu and Mukendi Badila on the picture. 

"They're all smiling despite of the fact that the world is ending. I find this selfie to be very touching and beautiful."

"Agreed." Chisa said. "And look two of them are hybrids too." 

She was referring to Mukendi and Mariya Sasaki. 

"I'm sure that the first week of school is as much as horrible to them as it is to us." She continued.

"How can they all be smiling in the situation humanity is in?" Mashika said. "How foolish."

"But it is inspirational, I like it." Arend said.

"It motivates me to try my best to survive." Annet said. 

"It does indeed give me more hope, since it makes me realize that life is something precious." Esmee said. "Many have lost their lives reluctantly, but we're still alive so we have to cherish our lives together as one community despite our differences."

"I agree. This picture has only "safe" as it's caption, but it's very clear what message they are trying to convey to the remaining people on earth." Kashala said. "We should be grateful that we have been able to survive so far." 

"Let's respond back to them by sending a picture in return!" Esmee suggested.

Kashala, Mashika and Milandu looked at each other.

"We need to show our kin that we managed to get this far too." Kashala said.

"Agreed." Milandu said. 

Miss Kettingen held Esmee's phone in her hand and was ready to make the picture.

This Sunday morning was a beautiful sunny day, it resembled last Monday a lot.

The birds spread their wings and flew high in the sky. Some of which went past the New University of Amsterdam.

Kadilu Badila, one of the surviving students of the New University of Amsterdam during the global bloodsucker virus outbreak, stood outside in front of the school building staring at the sky.

Mariya Sasaki, a fellow survivor among the students, stood besides him. 

He received a notification on his phone, and when he looked at it, he saw the picture of the New University of the Hague students.

Kadilu smiled upon seeing Kashala, Milandu and Mashika together.

Mukendi Badila, another survivor among the students, walked up to him with his phone in his hand. He was attempting to show the picture of Kashala and his friends to him.

But he realized that Kadilu had already seen it because he turned around with a smile. So he just smiled in return. 

Esmee had fun with her friends in the school cafeteria.

Gun-Ho was heading to his work when his Land Rover was running out of gas. Gun-Ho stopped by at a gas station in Baekseok Town, Cheonan City to fill up the tank of his car. He was heading out when he received a call from S Group's former vice president.
"President Goo? I'm afraid that I will have to take a rain check for our lunch appointment today."
"Something happened?"
"One of my close relatives just passed away. He was in Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. Since he didn't have any children, I will have to handle everything for him."
"I am so sorry to hear it. We can have our lunch at any time, sir."
"Me too. I know that you are a busy man, and I know you make time today for me."
"No, it's okay, really. When everything gets settled, just let me know, so we can have our lunch then."
 
Gun-Ho was reading a newspaper in his office when the directors and managers started pouring into his office.
"Oh, that's right. Today is a meeting day."
The managers and directors in uniform were all carrying a note with them for the meeting. It was the first meeting for the new chief officer of the research center; he joined the meeting instead of the former chief officer. Without the former chief officer and former plant manager, the members of the executive group looked more vibrant and young overall.
A total of five members attended the meeting today: Sales Director Dong-Chan Kim, Construction Director Hee-Byeong Yoon, General Affairs Director Joon-Young Choi, the new research center's chief officer— Joon-Soo Oh, and Internal Auditor Hee-Suk Goh. Director Jong-Suk Park couldn't attend the meeting since he was in the U.S. for training.
"Let's get started with the sales report. We will hear the report from the general affairs department later."
As Gun-Ho instructed, the sales director started giving a report.
"We are ordering raw materials from Seongil Polymer once again for the products, T-Cap that we provide to H Mobis. We have sold 50,000 of them last week, and the total sales revenue is…"
Gun-Ho looked at his watch and the sales director took it as a sign that he was making Gun-Ho feel bored. The sales director started wrapping up his report. After the sales report was done, the construction director and the chief officer of the research center gave their reports by turns as well. Receiving reports by itself took about an hour. Gun-Ho made some comments on them from time to time.
"The plant manager in the production department is now in an advisory position and the production director, Jong-Suk Park is in the US for training. So, please visit the production department in turns while their director and manager are absent."
"Yes, sir."
"I had worked at a production department as an apprentice years ago, and I know, from my personal experience, that the production field could become slow when there is no one supervising it."
"We will take turns in supervising the production field until Director Park comes back."
Once the meeting was over, a bunch of reports piled up on Gun-Ho's desk waiting for his approval. Gun-Ho didn't review all of them thoroughly but he sometimes read just the title of a report before he signed it.
 
Around 10 AM, Gun-Ho usually started reading an economic newspaper or watching the news on his smartphone, after reviewing the reports and signing them. That day, Gun-Ho was watching the news with his smartphone when he received a call from Tokyo. It was Ji-Yeon Choi— the restaurant owner in Akasaka, Tokyo.
"President Goo? It's really hard to get in touch with you these days. It seems that you haven't come to Tokyo recently."
"I've been really busy with my factory work. I know I should visit Tokyo soon."
"I can tell that you have been really busy there since I am reading a Korean newspaper from here too. I am aware that you will soon start a joint venture with the American company, Dyeon and also you acquired RiverStar Building in Gangnam."
"I see."
"But you have Mori Aikko here who you have to take care of. You can't just let her be here by herself all the time."
"Haha. I will make time to visit her soon."

"I will need a flight ticket to Tokyo, Japan. I will leave tomorrow. I don't need a travel visa, so just reserve a flight ticket leaving tomorrow."
"Yes, sir."
 
When Gun-Ho arrived in Japan, he first stopped by New Otani Hotel in Akasaka, Tokyo and reserved a room for himself. He wanted to leave his luggage at the hotel before going to see Mori Aikko at a hospital. Gun-Ho first went to the restaurant in Akasaka which Ms. Ji-Yeon Choi was running; he was carrying cosmetics that he purchased at the duty-free shop at the airport. But Ms. Ji-Yeon Choi was not there. Gun-Ho left the cosmetics with a staff at the restaurant and made a call to her.
"President Choi? I just came to your restaurant and you are not here. Do you have the name of the hospital where Mori Aikko is at?"
"Hahaha. You came so fast because your lover is sick. Give me one moment; I will find it out for you."
After a moment, Gun-Ho received a call from President Choi.
"It's Tokyo Women's Medical University Hospital. She is in the room no. 1206. Her examination was done, and she will have an operation today."
"Where is Tokyo Women's Medical University Hospital?"
"It's in Kawadacho, Shinjuku. Why don't you take a taxi? All taxi drivers should know where that hospital is."
"Sounds good. Thank you."
 
Gun-Ho arrived at Tokyo Women's Medical University Hospital, and he headed to the patient's room no. 1206. When Gun-Ho entered the room, Mori Aikko was reading a cartoon book on a bed in a half-sitting position. Mama-san Segawa Joonkko was there too. She was looking at her smartphone while sitting next to Mori Aikko.
"Mori Aikko!"
"Oppa?!"
Mama-san stood up and greeted Gun-Ho as well.
"You came."
"I must look so ugly now. I didn't even wash my face today."
"Don't worry about it. You are always pretty."

"Her surgery is scheduled at 3 pm today. After the doctor who has been taking care of Mori Aikko completes his ambulatory care duty, he will start her surgery."
"Is she seriously ill?"
Mama-san said some words describing Mori Aikko's illness, but Gun-Ho couldn't understand the word. When Mama-san realized Gun-Ho couldn't understand the Japanese word of that illness, she wrote corresponding Chinese characters on the cartoon book which Mori Aikko was reading. It said kidney stones.
"Oh, kidney stones!"
Gun-Ho nodded his head showing he now understood.
 
Gun-Ho looked around the hospital room where Mori Aikko was staying at. She was sharing the room with several other patients and the room didn't seem to help Mori Aikko take a good rest.
"Let's move her to a first-class hospital room."
Mama-san nodded her head.
Once Mama-san left the room, Gun-Ho and Mori Aikko left alone. Gun-Ho held Mori Aikko's small hand.
"You will be fine."
"I know."
"They just need to take out stones from your kidney. No big deal."
Aikko nodded her head.

This is the story of a poor young man whose poverty even shreds apart their family willing to climb his way through society and into the top. A very realistic novel that moves away from fantasy and sci-fi and focuses solely on the issues of society and life.

After that incident, Alex went back to his home in Kanagawa. It was still the weekend. He often went back on weekends to keep in touch with his friends and others. 
He took an early train and returned home. Placing the key in the keyhole, opening his grand house, he said a common phrase out of habit.
'I'm back home.'
It was when he just started going to school, he would announce to notify his mother who was waiting for him to get back. She also was the one who taught him this.
She had died several years ago, but on her deathbed, she asked him to always say it whenever he entered because of his father. She requested him to take care of his father. 
It was to let him know, on the rare occasion he was home, that he was not alone. Alex never expected a reply, not anymore. After all, such an event never took place. Alex took off his shoes to change into his slippers when he heard it.
'Welcome back.'
Alex saw his father descending down from the stairs, holding a cup of coffee, giving a warm smile.
'Dad.'
 
Ever since Alex's treatment, Dean has been coming home more often.
A week after the procedure was completed, Watson informed Dean that the treatment was a success. Dear came home immediately the next day. 
Alex opened the door. Seeing his son well and alive, not weak and gloomy, Dean hugged him tightly, embracing him as tears of happiness rolled out. 
Dean still doesn't know about Alex's powers, his incidents with Jira or WS. He is happy that his son is as healthy as a horse, even healthier.
They both had breakfast together as they chatted. Dean was surprised how much smarter Alex had become after the treatment. He was proud of his son, who was already in university.
He would have preferred if Alex had studied business instead of biology and eventually took over his company, but he wanted Alex to do whatever he wished. 
'How's your new university life going, Alex?'
'It's great. I'm having a lot of fun.'
'Look at you, 17, and already going to university. Make sure you don't grow up too fast, or else you'll miss out on a lot of things.'
'Got it that Dad.'
'And that reminds, you still don't have a girlfriend. You're already in university, when are you going to get one? Or are you going steady with that girl, what was her name?'
Dean recollected his memories.
'The one that landed on your face.'
'Her name is Asuna, and she fell on my chest. And no, I'm not going out with her.'
Alex killed the rumor.
'I'm six inches off, so what? This time make sure you do it right.'
Alex knew he would bring up this conversation.
'Come on, Dad. Even you never had one until you met mom.'
'Don't compare yourself to me. I was too busy to get laid. I was building a company by myself. What are you doing, saving the world?'
'Not yet.'
They both laughed. It was a pleasant conversation. *Makes you forget what kind of novel you're reading.* 
Alex spent the entire day with his father. It was quality father-son time. They talked, and they laughed. They watched movies and played games, it was a joyful time.
Night came, and they were in the library playing chess. Dean had been watching Alex the entire day and decided it was time he asked. 
'Alex, something has been bothering you, hasn't it?'
'How can you say?'
Dear only smiled. Dean always had been able to tell what a person was thinking. It was one of the qualities that made his wife marry him.
'Well, is there?'
Dean moved his bishop. 
--Mom did say Dad was good at say reading minds. Alex wasn't surprised.
'There is something that has been at the back of my mind recently.' 
'Care to tell your father? You don't have to if you don't want to.'
Alex advanced his pawn.
'There is a friend of mine who has a really bad relationship with his father. Recently, he messed up a little and got slapped by him. He's been down ever since. I'm just thinking if I could help him.'
'Can you?'
Dean took the pawn with his knight. Alex took his knight with his bishop.
'I can, but I'll have to skip a few days of university and quite possibly get into a fight.'
His father only smiled at Alex's answer. He placed his Queen.
'Remember what you wanted to become when you were little?'
'That silly thing? I'm surprised you still remember.'
Alex moved his knight.
'How could I forget? I was the same age when I wanted to become an entrepreneur. I didn't give up, worked hard, and become one. Are you saying you're giving up?'
Dean threatened to take the knight with his.
'Who said I was giving up? But are you sure, Dad?'
Alex only advanced his pawn. Dean took the knight.
'The important thing is, are you sure, Alex? Tell me something, is this friend of yours important to you?
Alex took out his rook. Dean retreated his bishop.
'Kinda'
Alex advanced his Queen with a pawn. Dean moved his king.
'And does he need help?'
Alex took the knight with his rook. Dean took the rook with his rook.
'Yes'
Alex brought his other rook. Dean moved his pawn
'And what do the people you inspire to become do?'
Alex captured the pawn with his rook. Dean took the rook.
'They help them.'
Alex placed his Queen. It was the final move, and he had won. He got up.
'Thanks, Dad. I probably won't be able to see you for a month or two, so I'm glad that you came today.'
'Don't worry about it. You do what you have to do.'
Alex went to his room. His father losing for the 5th time was peacefully looking at the board as he leaned back. He gently whispered.
'Yumi, are you watching? You always did want a child who cared for others more than himself.'
The night passed away.

Sorry for the constant delays and hiatus. I'm surprised if you're still reading this with how inconsistent I am with updates. If you are still reading you're absolutely amazing and I love you. I thank you so much for your patience.
I was really busy with my final year of University I still am, but by the end of May I will have submitted all my papers and my Dissertation, so I will have a lot more free time. And I will go back to updating this story on a more regular basis. 

I have scrapped "A Fairy Prince". I have no motivation to write it, so I have replaced it with a more exciting story called 'Yummy' which I wrote a few years ago and I found in my old files. Check it out if you're interested. I will be posting chapters of that story once a week after some needed editing (wrote it when I was like 16).
Quintessence will only be updated upon the completion of GCS which I need to do!!! Just a few hundred more planned chapters (I know I hate myself for being so slow).

On another note, it's been a year since I started posting A Gatekeeper and the Celestial Sovereign on Webnovel. That's crazy, time goes really fast!

I contacted Webnovel because this story wasn't appearing anywhere and apparently no one could give Powerstones. I believe that has been sorted now.
