Lukas Hayne died due to a mistake on God's part, he's granted three wishes with a world and background of his choosing.

While the councilmen finally reached the land of Mythweald to deal with the black witches, the black witches, on the other hand, were busy placing the markings around the abandoned church. The blue-eyed girl stood looking at the witches and the witch hunters working together. Her eyes were calm and her stance delicate with the flowing dress that she wore that reached the ground. 
"Isn't this great, Mistress? The only time we will find the witches and the humans working together," the little girl who was small compared to the height of the other girl had a big smile on her face. For a stranger the smile would have looked as if the little girl had received early presents but in truth, this little girl who was a black witch in disguise was eager for the next hours that were to come, "Pitty how most of them will die in the ritual," she giggled. 
"You need to keep your excitement down, Judith," the blue-eyed girl responded back without looking down at the little to have Judith close her mouth immediately. 
"Pardon me, Mistress." 
"The sacrifices are for the greater good. I am sure they will be able to understand without us having to tell them specifically," said Sabbi when her eyes fell on a part of the ground that had been marked, "Did you hear anything on the status of the witch hunters who have been guarding the villages?"
"I received the report yesterday morning but am yet to receive it after that. The recently recruited witch hunters appear to be useless."
"Most are useless which is why we need to make use of them," she answered the little girl who smiled again. 
"It is good that we didn't give them much information, it would be troublesome if they get caught, not that we will be as this is the land of humans that is far away from the witches or the vampires."
The older girl didn't respond to the chattering words of the little girl. Sabbi stared at the abandoned church which she had visited four decades ago. But it had been more than four decades since she had started to gather people, recruiting them for today's ritual which would finally unleash the black magic that rightfully belonged to the black witches and she couldn't wait for it. Many years had passed that were lonely. Waiting for this day to come and she had made sure to plan it well so that it wouldn't fail and it wouldn't. 
For the pain she had gone through and what her family had been put through, she would not rest until she would destroy the council and the race of humans as well as vampires. Though she was young, she could still hear her poor mother crying and screaming at the man who had assaulted and killed her in front of her. 
The pain had harbored to revenge and that is what she wanted. Wiping out was unnecessary when the creatures could be turned to slaves. 
"Mistress, did you see the man before?" asked the little girl to her. 
Sabbi turned to look at Judith, her eyes still like water that had not been moved, "The one in the carriage?" 
"I keep having this feeling that I have seen him before. I wonder if it is because of his handsome face," Judith placed her index finger on her cheek, "But I don't remember where exactly."
"You can think about the human some other time and I would rather have you concentrate on what we are doing today. I wouldn't like you messing with what we have been working on for years now," said Sabbi, not being lenient, "It took us time to break the one hundred and three rituals to be able to reach the black magic."
"Yes, mistress," the little girl bowed her head and gave her a wide smile without showcasing her teeth, "What are we going to do about the book? The witch hunters said they haven't been able to track the book and also Laurae has gone missing. Though I did hear she left a trail of dead bodies before disappearing."
The book had the spells and information on how to lock the white magic along with the black magic. After unbinding the magic today, she wanted to lock the white witch magic along with the other powers that existed to different creatures. The book of Garlic. It was the book that she had been looking for and the dumb witch had lost it. 
Her hand clenched tightly in anger and her face showed no expression on it. It was alright though as Sabbi believed they had successfully broken the alignment of stars. They were dead and no destiny could fix it as she had changed fate.
But the black witch had never been able to find who the actual stars were due to which, she didn't know all of them were very much alive. One who was in the land of Bonelake, another who had been moved to the alternate world while the third one was not too far away from the abandoned church where she was. 
"If she's been killing people it is only time for the council members to catch and kill her. We will let them do the deed. Once this is done, we will need to find where the book is."
"Yes, mistress!" 
When the time of evening arrived where the sun started to set down, the black witches started to gather in the ruins of the church along with many others who surrounded the area to make sure no one would ever come to disturb the ritual they would be doing. 
At the center of the ritual where the markings had been done, they placed a pile of wood which was lit with fire, and next to it stood a young girl who was tied to a pole that had been fixed tight enough for her to not be able to move. 
Tears fell from the girl's eyes and onto her cheeks. She looked at the witches who had changed their form and some who still looked human without heeding to any of her pleas. 
"Such a shame for the virgin to not be touched," one of the witchers who stood near her passed a comment. 
"Please let me go! I didn't do anything! Please!" she cried over and over again. After twenty minutes she finally stopped realizing no one here was going to help her and she was going to be sacrificed tonight. 
On the other side of the marking, a witch brewed something dark in the pot which was supposed to be drunk by everyone who was inside the markings. 
Sabbi stood outside the marking, watching the people do their work. There were more people in the circle and they were positioned not to chant the spells but to sacrifice their own selves which they were not aware of. 
Soon the ritual started and the witches started to chant the spells around the burning fire. The witch hunters who stood far away who had spread themselves around the church in the forest heard a whistling sound when a knife suddenly passed the witch hunter's head.

"Who touched you?" he asked, his eyes brooding down at her and when she didn't answer, his voice thundered in the room, "WHO?"

The butler who stood near the wall spoke shakily, "Sir, it was Mr. Reverale," Damien's face turned sour, his jaw ticking in anger he turned his face to the side where the butler stood behind.

"Bring the man here."

"N-now?" stuttered the butler. It was the time of night.

Damien who hadn't broken his eye contact with the girl in front of him, pushed his hand against the wall which now rested beside his beautiful girl's head. Turning his body, he first looked at his butler who had his head bowed. With great courage, the butler came to meet his Master's eyes, "Do you have any other better time? Or should it be after I wring your neck?" Damien asked calmly tilting his head. Not a second later, the butler ran out of the room to return back with Mr. Reverale after twenty minutes.

"Damien, are we having a late tea party?" Mr. Reverale came to greet but the master of the house had other plans. Spotting the knife that was stuck to the apple on the table, he reached for it to pull it out.

Just as Mr. Reverale went to exchange a handshake with him, Damien took hold of his hand to place it on the table. In one swift movement as if he were chopping onions, he chopped the four fingers of the man off his hand making him yelp and cry in pain.

"No one touches what is mine. I am sure this will remind you the next time you even think about touching her," sighed Damien as if he were tired of telling people to keep their dirty hands off his belongings.

Meet Damien Quinn, a pureblooded vampire who is a complete narcissist, brash with his words and stingy even though he is rich who haggled when he bought a slave from the black market.

On the other hand, meet Penelope who believes she is a 'guest' for a few days at the Quinn as she is intent on escaping from the odd vampire who needs therapy.

The stairs were filled with sleeping bunnies. Some of the Familiars looked stronger than their captured friend while some of them were weaker than a witch that had only opened the first gate. The four of them walked slowly and avoided the bunnies. Since it was nearing the dawn, the whole staircase was still dark and they had to rely on their slightly improved eyes. 

When a witch opens his energy gates, his body will receive nourishment and get stronger. Even though the witches were a lot stronger than regular mortals, their physique fell short in front of monsters, devils and Familiars. The same is the case with their eyesight. If they had a tamed Familiar with enhanced eyes that had a power level equal to a seventh gate witch, that familiar's eyesight would be better than the four of them.

After slowly moving forward, they almost reached the end of the staircase. It was at this time that they heard a loud sound of metal clanking and a heavy door opening. They immediately stopped in their tracks and decided to watch it out. The metal door connecting the house and the basement opened as rough breaths of a man could be heard. With quick steps, the man reached the basement.

"What?" A surprised shout sounded out as he saw all the bunny familiars sleeping on the floor. Even the Familiar lord, the power foot hare with white markings on its forehead could be seen sleeping on a desk.

Seeing this, the expression of the man turned gloomy and he immediately ran towards his house. When they heard the sound of running, Sigil motioned the other three to stand guard and call the alliance. 

"Tell them that we would like to submit a Familiar lord alongside other Familiars." Sigil spoke as he positioned his gun and started to walk towards the escaping man, Ryan– the carpenter.

Infancy, Adolescence and Mature. These were the three stages of a Familiar's growth. The infant Familiars had no title to their names but Adolescent Familiars were also called Lord Tier Familiars and the Mature Familiars were called Emperor Tier Familiars. 

As Sigil moved forward, his gaze was attracted towards the largest Familiar sleeping on the table. It had a slightly better muscular build and white markings could be seen on its forehead. This was the Familiar that arrived in the soul space of the captured power foot hare.

Even then, Sigil kept a steady speed and climbed up the stairs. He could not tame the lord tier beast, neither make a contract with it. This was the reason he decided to contact the alliance and also the reason that the other three did not raise any objections. His grip on his gun tightened as he used his other arm to push open the door. 

The metal door was connected to the backside of the house and Sigil entered with light steps. The house was dimly lit and he could hear the sound of things moving near him. The man must be panicked. After all, he was packing his things very quickly.

Sigil immediately ran up the stairs that lead towards the bedroom of the house and the place where the sounds of quick packing emerged from. The door to the room was open and Sigil decided to sneak a glance inside the room. 

Inside, a middle-aged man with light brown hair packed some stuff inside his duffle bag. Aside from clothing, Sigil also saw Ryan storing some papers and weird things. Yes, weird!

Aside from papers and clothes, Ryan picked a green incense and placed it inside the outer part of the bag and then proceeded to place the bones of a finger inside the other compartment of the bags. It wasn't just the bones and the incense, there was much strange stuff like red grass, a black ball with a green shadow and also a red-covered booklet.

After seeing that the man was almost harmless, Sigil aimed his gun from behind the panicked man and shot.

A bullet pierced the left calf of Ryan as he screamed loudly. The attack came too quickly. He wasn't able to support his body and fell on the floor. He was holding his legs as he kept on screaming in pain.

The sound of the door closing behind him could be heard as he looked towards a handsome youth with clean-cut silver hair and blue eyes looking towards him with a deadpan expression. 

Sigil looked towards the crying Ryan and pulled over a chair for himself. After sitting on it, he placed the gun on his thighs and leaned in front, his eyes gazing into the tear-filled eyes of Ryan.

"You have two options. First, you tell me everything in detail. Second, I force it out of you." His voice was extremely cold. Until now, he had been trying to act according to the behaviour of the original Sigil. This was the reason that he acted out alone and followed Ryan upstairs.

Right now, Ryan did not look like a decent middle-aged man. His disheveled hair, his teary eyes, snot-filled face made him look extremely disgusting. His teeth were chattering in fear as he remained still in front of gunpoint.

"Hello, this is the Carefree Alliance. Press 1 to know the details for joining the alliance, press 2 to get information on the nearest alliance office. Press 3 to assign a mission. Press 4 to apply for a mission. Press 5 to talk to our customer advisory services."

Alicia touched the number 5 on the dial pad of her smartphone. The other two were checking out the surroundings. 

"Thank you for calling the carefree Alliance. We will connect you shortly to our employee. Please wait.... du... du... du... Hello, my name is Gary, how may I assist you?"

Alicia quickly gave her mission details and her id no. 

"Yes, Miss Alicia. You would like to apply for the pickup of Familiars for the extra reward for the group, correct?"

"Yes."

"Please hold the line, I am applying your request. The pickup employees will reach your destination in an hour. Thank you for calling the carefree Alliance. We hope you have a good day."

The line disconnected as Alicia kept her smartphone in her pocket. She sighed and quickly joined Martha and Ricardo to check out for other fainted Familiars. 

Meanwhile, Sigil had an ugly expression as he looked at Ryan. He walked up and quickly took out the book from the outer compartment of the bag. From the feeling of the cover, it looked like it was made from the skin of an animal. Sigil did not waste time and quickly opened the strange book. As he read it, his expression kept on darkening. He shook his head and pocketed the book and looked towards Ryan. Originally, he was just an ordinary human, but now, he encountered something he shouldn't have and even desired to use it.

"Using the devil's transcript is strictly forbidden. You not only used the transcript but also assaulted regular mortals with the strength of Familiars. Why?" Sigil's cold voice became even more frigid. 

"You- you.... sigh... I only wanted to become stronger." Even though Ryan's condition was very poor, he could only reply in whispers. His voice had already become hoarse from all the pained cries. Sigil looked at Ryan and immediately punched his face, knocking him out. 

After doing that, he opened the book once again and started taking pictures of all the information on the book. After that, he kept the book inside his bag and put his smartphone away. Even though it is forbidden to use Devil's script, it wouldn't hurt to know more about it, right?

The alliance was efficient and a team of witches alongside a chakra stage witch quickly arrived at the destination. They were driving a large truck with reinforced defences, to protect the Familiars from any harm, but it would be mostly useless. After all, the Familiars had been enhanced by the methods of the devil's script.

"I would like a full report on the matter. Who is the leader of this group?" A brown-haired middle-aged man with light green spectacles and wearing an unceremonious night suit spoke in an annoyed tone. He was a chakra stage expert in the newly created alliance. He was like many other fortunate witches that were able to step into the realm of Chakra Sky without any help of a prominent family. The emergence of the alliance gave these lone witches a method to earn more resources to further their Cultivation without going against any orthodox power of the country.

All of them were standing in the basement and Martha, Alicia and Ricardo immediately looked towards Sigil. Their eyes gave their decision about the long-awaited question of the leadership of the group. While Sigil was still a rash and arrogant youth in their eyes, they still saw this quality of his redeemable. Ricardo also wanted to keep observing Sigil. After all, he had contacted Sigil previously to take down the Grimoire World, but now, he couldn't find the inheritance ground and the Grimoire World was being controlled by the Alliance. He could only stick around with Sigil before any other interesting event takes place.

Braun, the Chakra Stage Witch, looked towards Sigil as well. 

"What happened here?" He plainly asked. He was in the midst of his sleep and had to be forcefully awakened to deliver these Familiars. It had to be known that many witches are burdened with a lot of stress and often enter the condition of insomnia. Braun was of a similar case. As he looked at all the sleeping Familiars, his annoyance only grew.

"It's like this, these Familiars have been altered by the methods of devil's script. While the infant Familiars have mutated along the lines of blood beasts, the lord class Familiar has mutated towards the soul class, as it could control the actions of most of the Familiars....."

Sigil slowly explained everything as he took out a small book from his pockets. Meanwhile, the expression of Braun turned darker. Even though the humans were widely segregated, they were still united against one common enemy- The Devils. There hasn't been too much information about devils, but it has always been advised that one should at least reach the level of opening of chakra points before thinking of facing a devil face-to-face. Even though there are many spells that could eradicate a devil, the materials to execute the spells are very expensive.

Braun immediately kept the book without even opening it and ordered his subordinates to fill the truck with the remaining Familiars. He also contacted his higher-ups and informed them of the situation. After all was done, he walked up towards the bandaged Ryan and coldly picked him up with one hand. Even though the bodies of witches isn't comparable to that of monsters and familiars, they were still a lot stronger than mortals.

"He will have his memory searched and be subjected to the punishment of the alliance. As a representative of humanity, I would like to applaud your efforts as this idiot could have caused even more damage. Your Rewards will be sent to your respective households and you should leave. Many witches are on their way to quickly kill all the infected familiars before they become contaminated enough to hose devils inside them." Braun spoke as he quickly backed up the truck. Even though the reinforcement would deal with other loose familiars, the alliance was quite interested in the Familiars themselves and ordered Braun to bring a batch of captured familiars to the headquarters.

The whole affair only took an hour and the group had successfully completed their mission. They did not immediately leave Ryan's household and started searching around. It would an absolute waste of their efforts if any trace of the devil was left due to their carelessness.

"Huff, finally free!" Martha exhaled deeply and sat near Sigil. Her head was leaning on his left shoulder as she squinted her eyes in relaxation. They were all inside Sigil's room. Well, not all, Ricardo was sleeping inside his own room.

'I want to sleep, too!' Sigil sighed as he felt the two girls invading his personal space quite annoying and cute at the same time. Previously, he would have just been annoyed, but after so many interactions, he started feeling warm towards both of them. 

After all, Sigil was only a human. He wasn't an old demon, neither was he an indifferent impotent. Martha and Alicia treated him warmly and were kind towards him. Martha even had a sexual escapade with the previous owner of the body, it was almost inevitable for the current Sigil to start feeling for Alicia and Martha.

On the soft red bedsheet, the two silver-haired couple sat peacefully. One had her head over other's shoulder. The whole scene spoke of beauty and elegance if not for an annoyed dark-haired Girl.

"Are you going to ignore your own Fiancée?" 

Alicia's melodious voice had an annoyed tone. This caused both of them to chuckle a little. Sigil shook his head and patted his legs. 

"Since you are my fiancée, I will always have a special place for you." 

Sigil openly invited her to use his laps as a pillow, but unexpectedly, Alicia removed her shoes and climbed up his body. She quickly made herself snug as she leaned her back on his chest and shook her hips a little to make herself more comfortable. Her entire being was laying on Sigil and they fit perfectly. 

Martha on the side and Alicia on the body. A wonderful sense of softness exploded and invaded his sense of touch. Alicia's bouncy butt on his crotch and Martha's soft breast on his biceps made his blood rush towards the southern direction.

Meanwhile, Martha also smiled at Alicia's antics and closed her eyes peacefully. Getting angry over sharing Sigil was stupid. Wouldn't it be better to perform some acts together to increase pleasure?

Even though the three of them knew of the raging spear, they remained still and did not move. Alicia felt a little funny on her butt, but she still closed her eyes and slept peacefully. The three of them were tired due to not having adequate sleep and quickly dozed off.

"Two months.... in two months, the devils will strike. Previously, the alliance wasn't created and the organisation did not invest too much in such simple missions. Who knew that the Devils wanted to invade the main continent through the use of mortals. But this raises even more questions. Why are there such changes? Will the devil race even emerge this time? After all, this is the high time for the humans of the main continent. Even though there are still some other continents in a different plane, it isn't easy to cross the borders. And most of all, I need to determine if I am the cause of all these changes."

Ricardo muttered as he remained in a meditative stance. Nothing was going according to his plans. At first, he doubted that Sigil had obtained the inheritance since he did not contact him, but after knowing that his smartphone was crushed during the exploration, he cleared that doubt. But that did not mean he wasn't suspicious of Sigil, in fact, he was suspicious of everyone that went inside the Grimoire World.

"Yawn, this body is still weak. I still need to have some rest before I can start thinking about some countermeasures." Ricardo shook his head and went to sleep. He knew that making plans with a refreshed mind is always better than a tired one.

“Have you ever felt completely bored out of your life?”


“Have you ever doubted the reason for your existence? Your purpose?”


“Is there a tiny spark of curiosity inside that boredom? Wanting to explore? Wanting to know more?”


“That's me? Just a fun loving guy bored to death in the most literal manner. I lived an uneventful life as an orphan. Studied hard, got a job but never married. I guess sudden heart attack leaves you no chance to think about the future. One of the things you should know about me though, I am a very humble person.”


“If you compare me to the regular tramsmigrators of the legends then you might be mistaken. After all, what abilities does a salesman could offer in a world filled with magic, right?”

That night Heidi went to bed later than usual as Lord Nicholas had introduced her to the library in the mansion which was usually locked. It was a narrow room where the three sides of the wall was covered in a rack of books. The library was dark like the passage they had used before getting in to the library. 

The candles that were on the chandelier and the ones near the walls had melted, drops like structure solidified. Stanley, had helped in lighting the candles up. All the books that was in and out looked old. Older than her. She had later thanked the Lord for bringing her here to which he had done nothing but smile. As she had taken her time to look at all the book titles, her eyes had caught sight of a section which was encased in a glass case. Even though they were older than the others and ragged in appearance, it seemed like they were being treasured. The book titles read Feudal of rivals, Origins, Tyrany of humans and vampires, gardening witch and there were few others which were unrelated to another.

Seeing the dark ink splattered on the book she asked, "You have strange collection of books, milord. There are few with ink spilt on them," she moved forward to look at the Lord.

"That isn't ink," murmured Nicholas.

"What?" Heidi asked, who hadn't caught what he said.

"I think its rather late. You can come by another time to the library. Stanley," he called the butler, "Why don't you see Ms. Curtis to her room."

"Yes, master. Ms. Curtis," the butler asked for her and she wished him a goodnight before she left the room with the butler.

Once the butler had seen the lady to her room, he had returned back to where his master was, who was still in the dark library. His Lord was holding a book and reading it whilst he stood in front of the unlocked glass case.

"Humans are strange, aren't they," his Lord spoke, eyes still stuck on the book he had picked to read.

"Yes, milord," the butler replied promptly.

"They have such strange books that hardly makes any sense. How do you think she would react if I told her the truth about this?" he ran his fingers over the uneven book cover and then handed it to the butler

"Ms. Curtis, is honest with her opinions," the butler added as he bent down a little, to push the book back to where it was kept previously.

"Indeed she is. Knowing her she would probably have something to say," he smiled and then continued, "If she plans to visit the library again, which she will undoubtedly, make sure it is in your presence and lock this up," he said looking at the glass case.

"It has been so long since I last brought a book back here. How long has it been?" Lord Nicholas asked thoughtfully.

"Must be four years, milord," and the Lord hummed in response, "If I may add, the black witch's book is one of a quality."

"That's right. Getting the witch's books are somewhat difficult as they aren't sold in every market," the butler smiled at his master's words. 

Black witches books could never be sold, be it in the human land or the vampire land, their very existence was frowned. Any one trying to sell it in an open market would meet the same end as the black witches. But that didn't mean they were never sold anywhere, the most illegal and unethical objects could be found in the black market. Though his master had strings in the black market, the one in the library wasn't obtained from there. Like many other books that were in the glass case, they were picked from the people's house his master had killed. Few years ago times weren't as peaceful as it was now. Bloodshed in public was common and with the witches causing massacre, his master was usually out on a lookout to find the culprits who were causing disruption. It wasn't ink but spots of blood that was etched on the cover of the books. As deranged it sounded, his master was one of a kind and he was proud to be serving him.

"Milord, is it alright for Mr. Lawson to leave Ms. Curtis here for such a long time? Forgive me, but I haven't seen them spend enough time together."

"That's alright. Warren is a little slow but," Lord Nicholas paused, "Have someone follow him. He has been visiting the council and up to the north very often. Cousin or not, I wouldn't want to take risk."

"Yes, milord. Consider it to be done," Stanley bowed his head, "By the way milord," he pulled out two envelopes from his pocket and handed it to his lord.

"Who is it from?" Nicholas asked while taking them and as he read  the name on one of the envelope a smile formed on his lips, "Is it already that time..."

"You have been invited to the celebration of Hallow which is going to take place in less than three weeks." 

"Hm?" Nicholas saw the next envelope was from his friend Rhys Meyers. After reading the contents inside, he handed back the envelope to the butler and left the dark library.

The next day, Heidi sat in the carriage on her way to the Meyers mansion. Mr. Meyers had requested for her attendance at the mansion to accompany his wife only if she would like to. Meeting Mrs. Meyers at the mansion, the lady looked the same as she had seen her before. 

Her black straight hair was tied in a white ribbon. Heidi and Lettice went out to town as the lady had wished to go out shopping.

"I am sorry for suddenly requesting you to come. I am sorry for the inconvenience," Lady Lettice apologized when they reached the town Heidi had previously visited with Lord Nicholas and Stanley.

"Please don't apologize. I am glad that you asked for my company and I wasn't doing anything except for studying with my educator," Heidi replied with a smile on her face.

"I see," she smiled back, her face relaxed than the time  she had seen during her birthday, "How has your stay been in the Rune mansion?" 

"It has been pleasant," Heidi replied as they walked on the sides of the road, "But sometimes it does get dull. Sitting in the mansion and doing nothing. How do you spend your time Lady Lettice?"

Lady Lettice laughed softly when saw Heidi's worried look, "I understand what you mean. In the beginning, I was finding it hard myself. To have nothing to do and spend time inside the mansion but you get used to it. Used to living the elite vampire life. You can call me Lettice. We are from the same background. "Then please call me Heidi," Heidi shared a friendly smile.

When the Lord took a step forward, she took a step back. Taking a gulp she said, "You know, what you're doing can be considered as terrorizing."

"Well, I call it persuading."

"I believe you aren't using the right wordbook, milord."

"You didn't answer my question," the Lord was too persistent, thought Heidi to herself. It didn't look like he would let it go.

The year 1847

Heidi was an adopted child, where one of the Duke had been generous enough to take her in.  A girl, who when grew up had no idea that she would be the political bridge between the two empires. A marriage with the East Lord's relative.

Lord Nicholas with his gentle appearance and behaviour made him the White King of the Empire. A man who was the kindest to the souls around him, with only a few who knew what laid beneath that beautiful mask. What happens when a girl is responsible for bringing out the worst and the best out of him? Especially when it's his cousin's fiancee.

Necromancy was one of the reasons that the House of Ambrose found itself at such a low position today. The House was filled with powerful Warlocks and Witches at their peak, but an incident with Dark Magic made them the target of some very powerful families.


The powerful families targetted the most powerful magic in the House of Ambrose, and that was Necromancy. With the name of justice by their side, innocent members of the Ambrose name were called the criminals who went past the already questionable Necromancy and began dabbling in Dark Magic.


These attacks came in waves as their old enemies pounced at them, and eventually many magicians renounced their Ambrose name and left. Only a few loyal members remained, with Ian's mother being one of them.


The book titled Necromancer 101 was something his mother had reluctantly given him a few days ago as he turned 18 and was ready to begin learning magic.


It was the legacy that he treated with the highest respect as he recalled the stories of the powerful Warlocks in the history of the House of Ambrose. He remembered the famous motto of the Ambrose lineage that used to cause magicians to shake in fear a long time ago.


Ruthless, Strong, Loyal.


These were the qualities that defined the men and women carrying the name of Ambrose. So it was even more comical when under pressure from powerful families, so many Warlocks and Witches abandoned the house to escape downfall.


He would be different. Ian planned to start on the path of a Warlock with the three qualities in mind as he opened the thick black book. Necromancy was frowned upon across the hidden society until today, as the top ranks considered this magic on the border towards Dark Magic.


Ian did not care, as this was his family's most powerful tool, and he did not plan on letting it die out. The first page of the book was fairly blank, with only a few sentences standing out in the middle of the page.


[The study of Necromancy is the study of Death. If you have not had any experience with death, you cannot start on the path of Necromancy.]


Only a few words, but they stood out strongly on the blank page. When he tried to flip to the next page to see what other information there was, the page would not bulge. No matter how forcefully he tried to pry it open, it remained the same.


Ian leaned back on his chair as he tapped on the table in front of him, thinking. He had not met the requirement needed to even start on the path of Necromancy.


'Experience with death, huh?'


He thought back to the many history books he had read on how the Warlocks and Witches of the Ambrose house began their journeys as he knew what he should do.


He needed to kill.


As for what exactly he had to kill?


'Now that wasn't really specified, was it?'


A thin smile broke out on Ian's face as he closed the black book he couldn't continue reading and placed it back in his backpack. He gave his new extravagant dorm room another look around before he left, making sure the door locked behind him as he went out to explore this magical university before classes began tomorrow.


He walked out of the freshmen dorms and looked towards the many buildings all around him, watching the sight of young magicians moving around enthusiastically as others just like him were here for the first time.


His eyes moved towards a large banner right outside the dorms that had the locations of the entire campus listed, and he found the place he had in mind for his objective today. If you were in a magical academy that had all sorts of powerful and mystical things to explore, but you wanted to find a place where you could kill, where would you go?


Ian moved across the many young magicians walking around as he neared the location he was looking at in a few minutes.


'The Beastiary'


This location was not simply one where you could read about the many fantastic beasts that secretly roamed the world, but a place where you could actually see them. This was one of the largest repositories of magical beasts in North America. The sheer size alone would overwhelm many magicians that neared its doors.


Ian went through the large double doors and came face to face with a small reception area as sounds from various animals he had never heard of before entered his ears. He found a bored woman with a common witches hat focused on a book below her as she sat serenely while surrounded by droves of screaming beasts.


He went towards the girl and called out as he saw her head rising and her attention turning towards him.


"Hello, I'm here to apply for a butcher position."


His voice was steady as the Witch in front of him looked at him with perplexion and replied.


"Let me see your card."


He took out the card that had his name and ID engraved on it and handed it to her. She looked over it as her perplexion turned into surprise.


"You're a newly arrived freshman who hasn't even had your first class, and the first thing you do is to come to The Beastiary for a job that no students want?"


Ian smiled lightly at this as he nodded.


"So, there is an open position?"


"Yes. There are only a few butchers that work part-time. You can head to the back and find Greg, he'll let you know if there are any other beasts that need to be taken down today."


Yes. This was Ian's idea of how to quickly experience death. He had a significant amount of knowledge at his disposal with the libraries of books left behind in the remaining manor of the House of Ambrose.


The school they helped to build was among the many things that they talked about. The place he arrived in was The Beastiary, where magical beasts were kept while even more were cultivated to be enjoyed as meals for the deserving Warlocks of Witches.


To meet the requirement of death that was needed before he could peruse the book he brought with him, he would spend some time here.

Magic was real.

Monsters were real.

A hidden world exists that only the elites have access to. A world where schools and academies trained young magicians to become powerful Warlocks and Witches that go on to becomes leaders of all fields.

       That was a common children song that could be heard along with the whole Empire of Licorne where you could find kids jumping ropes.
       
       Coca was a popular figure in nursery rhymes, described as a millenary witch, that only sleep one night at every seven years, the face of an alligator, claws like a hawk and took naughty children from their families.
       In reality, she was the high priest of the cult of the dragon god Green Storm, also known as the Coca witches.
       It was common to the children of the Licorne Empire, fear the figure of Coca as a threat for misbehaved children.
       The young Sapphire was one of those children constantly praised by her good behavior, and the fear of Coca never crossed her mind. 
       She even heard many times that Coca would never come for her.
       Nevertheless, Coca comes for her.
       In addition, contrary to what the rhymes and tales, it was not in a cloudy dark night without moon in the sky.
       Sapphire liked to look at her window to the ring around the world until sleep.
       The Propasa world is inside a Nebula, which makes beautiful auroras in the night sky.
       Combined with the ring around the planet similar to the ones around Saturn, the moons and stars create an inspiring view.
       Looking through her window sometimes followed one or another leaf, which entered her bedroom carried by the wind.
       In a special clear night, with a bright silver moon, a leaf entered by the window. Even without any wind.
       Soon after another, another, and more and more, each leaf holds on each other until form the shape woman.
       Then there was really a woman looking at her in the middle of the bedroom.
       It was a tall and elegant woman, wearing a green cape, made of skin alligator dress with a pattern of leaves, and a collar of silver and emeralds sparkled with the light of the night.
       The only odd and scary things were her big green eyes that resembled an alligator.
       The woman snapped her finger and a leaf floating in the middle of the bedroom started to burn a white flame that illuminated like was a day.
       The women looked around the room, the curtains in the window, the wooden door, the shelf with children books, the trunk with toys, the wardrobe and finally the girl in the bed, brown hair, cinnamon skin and amber eyes. 
       "Little elf doesn't look like a baby." The woman said in a loud and authoritative tone.
       Sapphire understood that wasn't a dream and awoke completely, with a tall elegant woman looking at her. 
       "Where's the baby puppy elf?"
       "What is a puppy elf?" The little girl asked, trying to understand what was happening.
       "Puppy elf is a puppy elf." The woman pointed at her, letting clear that a puppy elf.
       Most people in Propasa didn´t have the concept of elves since they are all elves with pointed ears.
       "The baby." The woman said. "Where's the baby?"
       "There's no baby here," Sapphire answered, covering her face until the nose with the sheets. "Just me."
       The woman gave an uncertain stare. "Puppy elf is a baby?"
       "I'm not a baby anymore."
       "And the not a baby is alive?"
       "Yes, I'm alive."
       "Puppy elf has a name?"
       "My name is Sapphire. People call me Gem, my father call me his little gem when I was a baby. Now is just Gem."
       "Hum… Puppy elf Gem is Jolly Acacia's child?"
       "Yeah?" She answered in doubt to answer.
       "Puppy elf has siblings?"
       "No?"
       They stared at each other in silence for a moment. "Call mommy puppy elf Gem."
       "Mom!" Sapphire obeyed.
       "Lauder." She lifted a finger.
       "Mommy." Her voice sounded dozens of times stronger and the woman gave a smile of satisfaction.
       Did not took too long until a brunet with pale skin and the third eye in her forehead appeared at the door, startled in a nightgown.
       "A third eye?" The woman pointed at her forehead like it was the funniest thing she saw. "Jolly Acacia is one of those tryclopes who turn into a flying pony's?��
       She ran towards the children to embrace her and talk mentally. "Are you fine Gem? She did something to you?"
       "Ah… Telepathic flying pony's" The woman pressed her fingers between her eyes with a disgusted expression. "That's why flying pony's usually don't live among elves. Can't talk? Mental transmissions gave migraines to this old brain."
       Acacia shook her head. "I don't talk. Why you came here?"
       "Curiosity." She took a long tube from a small purse in her waist. "Why a flying pony is so interested in this?."
       "What is a pony, and what you have there?"
       "Thee eyes is a flying pony and this is the dharmaquation. Jolly Acacia wasn't looking for it?"
       "The dharmaquation?" She released Gem and approached the woman, "You are one of the Coca's witches?"
       She released a loud laugh. "Coca is no Coca's witch. Coca is a witch, but Coca is Coca."
       That moment Coca revealed her identity turned things very awkward; A weird woman invading was scary, but Coca was a figure so mythic that Jolly Acacia don´t know how to react. 
       "You are Coca?" She squeezed Gem hard and started to tremble.
       She nodded her head with a smile. "Coca is Coca. The only one and the best."
       "Really?"
       "Pony doubt that Coca is Coca?"
       "Well… To say the truth I expected that you looked like an alligator."
       She pulled her hood made with an alligator head, combined with her purse and clothes made with alligator skin and her inhumane eyes. she fit the description of the witch alligator. The queen of the witches. The Coca.
       Coca took out the hood. "What is your relationship with the Whitehawk wizards?"
       "None! I heard that they resurrected the daughter of the baroness, and a woman who worked for my husband became a slave there. Just that."
       "If elf Pony doesn't have a dead baby, why the elf pony is looking for this?" She shook the tube.
       "It's not for me. My Niece. My brother's daughter is dying. She has around the age of my daughter, She's living through strong spells and doesn't awake for months. Barely breathe."
       "It's not for a baby neither for the Pony. Very irregular, where is the mother?" She's snapped her fingers. "Coca wants to talk with the mother. Call the mother of the dying puppy."
       "That will be a problem. She lives in Marigold County."
       "Where's that?"
       "You know the Yellowbelly mountain, were the yellowbelly dragon lives."
       "Of course. Green Storm had a couple of babies with him some centuries ago."
       "She lives, close to that mountain."
       "That's in the other said of the archipelago. More than twenty thousand miles from here."
       "Now you understand why you can make a deal with me and I take the dharmaquation to her."
       "No! That's not the Amaru way."
       Gem pulled Jolly Acacia nightgown. "Mom, what's a barmaquadron?"
       "A dharmaquation is a very complicated formula to perform a magic ritual to do a ginormous spell," Jolly answered. "The Count of Rock and the Whitehawk wizards made one to save his granddaughter."
       "They got their dharmaquation with Coca," Coca said shooking the tube.
       "My niece is dying there wasn't another way?"
       "Take Coca there."
       "What?"
       "What pony is going to do with the dharmaquation?"
       "I going to take immediately to Bonina in the Marigold Manor. You give it to me and I go to Marigold right now."
       "Them what pony is waiting for?"
       "What?"
       "Pony wants to take the dharmaquation, and is going to take Coca too."
       "Why? You can deal with me and I take there."
       "No. Those things have procedures. Coca will just make a pact with whom will use it. Take me there. That's the Amaru way."
       "Okay!" Jolly Acacia turns to her daughter. "Dearie, put your clothes we were going to travel."
       "Today?" Gem asked.
       "Now."
       Surprised, confused, scared, and curious, Gem dressed her clothes and went after her mother with her stuffed dragon.
       Jolly Acacia put some clothes in a bag, and Coca ordered. "Get the big one." She pointed at the trunk, Gem got her stuffed toy.
       She obeyed and started to put clothes and other belongings in the big trunk that Gem used to put her toys.
       Put your stuff too." Coca ordered Gem and started to look at her picture books.
       "What is this?" She showed a picture.
       "That's Cinderella. Her sorceress dragon godmother turned a pumpkin into a magic carriage."
       "Sorceress dragon godmother?" She flipped the book. "That illustration looks like Coca. Why Coca will do that?"
       Gem stopped to show the book and her Mother glanced worriedly. "Cinderella was bullied by her stepsisters and stepmother after her father died. And them the prince of the kingdom make a great party inviting all the single girls in the kingdom, and the evil stepsister lock Cinderella in a dungeon."
       "A dungeon full of monster?"
       "Nope, just a dungeon."
       "And them?"
       "Her sorceress dragon godmother goes to rescue her and uses her magic to create a beautiful dress, an enchanted carriage to make the prince fall in love for her."
       "Why Coca would become the godmother of an elf?"
       Gem shows the picture. "The sorceress dragon loses a game of dices to her father and became his daughter godmother to avoid pay the gold she bet."
       "That's is something Coca would do. What's the catch? Coca will not just give magic to elves without a catch."
       "The spell ends at midnight, the dress became scraps and the carriage became a pumpkin again, except for her magic ruby slippers. She loses one in the stairs of the castle when she runs away at midnight"
       "The shoes have a hex to the prince?"
       "I think so. The prince became obsessed with Cinderella and make all the girls of the kingdom try the ruby slippers until finding Cinderella."
       "That's because need time for a good obsession jinx fix for good." Coca though. "The hexed prince finds Cinderella?"
       "Yes. They Marry, Cinderella becomes the queen, the sorceress dragon godmother moves to the tallest tower to the castle and they live happily ever after."
       "Smart move." Coca was enchanted. "Makes the goddaughter the queen. Why Coca didn't burn the evil stepmother and stepsisters to crisps?"
       "She did." Gem shows the picture. "She forced them to wear red hot iron shoes and dance until their bones turned into coal."
       "Coca enjoyed this book." Coca smiled. "Who wrote this book has a fine understanding of Amarus."
       A woman appeared worried at the door. "Miss Greenwood, take care of the house in my absence. I', going to Marigold."
       "Marigold?" She looked at the woman in green who looked and Gem's picture books. "That has something to do with your niece? Zenon's daughter?"
       "Yes. We are going out for a couple of months. Take care."
       "You want me to wake up Catclaw to prepare a carriage?"
       "It's will not be needed." Coca took two dolls among Gem toys. "Bring me a pumpkin."
       "Sorry, but we don't have pumpkins."
       "You have some squash?"
       "We have Chayote squash." The maid answered.
       "Chayote? That's so irregular. Get the bigger one and wait outside."
       "Yes." She answered.
       "What are those colorful things?" Coca got two ceramic figures similar to cartoonish bulls with wings made of ceramic with crazy colors to Gem.
       "Boi-boombás." Gem answered, putting clothes in the trunk. "Coca don't know the boi-bumbás?"
       "Coca heard about boi-boombás. What a boi-boombá do?"
       "They hunt nightmares. So I can sleep with sweet dreams."
       "That works. " Coca showed the figures to Gem. "Blow."
       "She blows the boi-boombás figures."
       "Get up in the trunk."
       Gem obeyed.
       "It's too big and heavy, we need to call someone to carry."
       Coca made a tired expression and pick up the trunk with Gem upon using two fingers. "The Pony need something else?"
       "No. No." They went to the first floor where they meet three maids waiting for them.
       "I'm sorry for waking you miss Spoon."
       "It's not any problem my love," The old woman kissed her head. "But I have a bad omen about this."
       "Coca is a bad omen," Coca said harshly.
       "Goodby Catclaw." Gem said to the younger maid.
       "Bye, my dearie. Be a good girl or the Coca will come for you."
       "Too late. Coca came for her." Coca got the squash. "Blow!" she ordered to Gem.
       Gem Blow the Squash and Coca throw in the air with the dolls and they fell ahead in the dirt.
       "That's Coca?" The old lady started to tremble. "What are you doing my dear?"
       "It's okay. Everything is fine, Miss Spoon." She kissed the old lady.
       "Go with the grace of the gods."
       While Coca walked in their direction, they twirled and grow like plants at an absurd fast rate and when they reached; it was a weird green carriage pulled by two colorful and impotent shining creatures. Living boi-boombás.
       The door opened by itself and they entered, Coca sat down and put opened a colorful fan.
       To Gem amazement, the interior was decorated like a magic carriage from one of her picture books.
       The creatures flapped their wings and flew through the sky, pulling the carriage. Jolly Acacia holds whatever she could frighten and avoided to look outside. "Where we are going?"
       "There was a quoza lake nearby, we take there until Toyland."
       "Toyland?" Gem clapped, "Sounds wonderful."
       "It's a stinking butt hole. There are no toys in Toyland. There's only a stinking paper factory."
       Gem was a bit disappointed.
       "You really are the Coca from the children's tales?"
       "No! Coca is from none tale. Coca is the real Coca. There's no other."
       "You are the high priestesses of the dragon goddess Green Storm?"
       "Yes! Coca is the high priest of the wise and powerful Green Storm."
       "And you are the queen of all witches?"
       "No. Coca is the queen of the wonderful Coca witches, and the wonderful Coca witches only. No relations with puny witches."
       "It's true that you eat children?"
       "Yes! Coca eats veal. Coca loves veal, principally roasted with baby carrots at the side."
       "I like to eat roasted veal too, is very tasty."
       ���That means the little puppy elf eats children too."
       "That means you don't come to get naughty children?"
       "No! Coca is only interested in naughty little girls."
       Gem gulped saliva with a bit of fear. "What Miss Coca does with those naughty little girls?"
       "Coca turns them in Coca witches, naughtier the little girl, better the witch she will become." She became exalted "In addition, Coca has the better, naughtiest, powerful, and wonderful witches of them all. Those are the Coca witches."
       "I would be a witch?"
       "Not a Coca witch. The little elf is too puny and soft to be a Coca witch."
       "Are you sure? How you know?"
       "Coca sees everything. Coca knows that puppy little puppy elf-like blue, crisp fish and coconut. Don't like baths, cut fingernails, vegetables and pretend to brush the teeth, when did not."
       "You did what?" Jolly Acacia scolded angrily. "You know how important hygiene is."
       Gem remained in silence sacred of the witch, looking at her bored face.
       "We are in the quoza lake," Coca said with a smile.
       "The quoza lake?" Jolly acacia look at the window. "How fast are we going?"
       The quoza lake was surrounded by the Jatoba town. Gem looked at the window, dazzled by the view of the builds at night from the top. "This is the infinite magic ocean that connects all the magic quoza lakes in the world? Where we can go even to the five moons?"
       "That one." Jolly Acacia hughed Gem to not get to close to the window. "Trought the lake the carriage will go to Toyland lake, twenty-five thousand miles from here."
       The quoza lake has a port, with a couple of ferry boats. The carriage dive in the middle of the lake and for their surprise didn't hit the water, instead, keep going under the water inside a bobble of air.
       Gem's looked at the window disappointed. "I can't see anything. I heard that the quoza cities under the water were beautiful."
       "It's night puppy elf," Coca said.
       Gem was simply amazed by that. "Incredible, how you do that?"
       "Magic."
       "I want to do magic too, I want to be a wizard. Like, my mom."
       "Just don't be a rotten one, little puppy elf."
       Gem was excited about that adventure and comfortable with the witch after that. "Your ears are funny. They were small and round."
       "Because Coca is not an elf."
       "I never saw someone without pointed ears."
       "Because little puppy elf never saw someone that is not an elf."
       "It's cute. It seems like a monkey ear."
       Coca didn't like to hear that and gave a serious stare. Quickly Gem tried to change the subject.
       "It's true that you can turn into a dragon?"
       "Yes! Coca can turn into an Amaru. Every Amaru high priestesses can turn into Amarus."
       "What is an Amaru?"
       Jolly Acacia hugged. "Amaru is a kind of dragon, my dearie. Now stop doing questions."
       "Yes!" Coca showed the palm of her hand close to Gem's face. "No more questions. Now to sleep little puppy elf Gem."

Time seemed to pass quickly. Soon after the new year's day, Julius started preparing to leave for the land of Ostbarrow. He arranged everything necessary. Duke Isaac was called upon and asked to stay in the Brookville palace until the Lord returns. Alexander was busy signing the important papers. He had asked Isaac to handle all the council matters in his absence. Before leaving, he tried to settle the important matters beforehand. As the final day was approaching, he felt more anxious. 

Soon, the day arrived. Alexander was in his tuxedo. Julius waited for him in the carriage. Two carriages were already in the front yard, one for the Lord and the other for carrying the luggage. Soon, they left the Brookville palace. Julius sat opposite to Alexander. Seeing him reading an old book, "What are you reading, Master?" he noticed that Alexander kept on flipping the pages as his eyes scanned the pages thoroughly.
"Witches," Alexander kept his answer short and simple, one word.
"Witches? It's nice to know about them before you visit Ostbarrow."  Julius spoke as his eyes looked outside the windows.
Listening to his words, Alexander lazily looked at him.
"Tell me what you want to say. What do you know extra about the witches?" his eyes gave a sharp stare.
"You need to get shadow guards, Master." Julius's eyes met Alexander's, giving a sense of insecurity.
"Continue," Alexander closed the book, placing his hands on it.
"The shadow guards, are highly skilled dragons. You need to find one or maybe two for yourself. The Dragon King's army train dragons, the one who qualify all the levels, becomes the shadow guard. The Warlocks of the Witch army and the Shadow Guards of the Dragon might be of the same level. No one knows about them, unlike the Warlocks." Julius spoke as he grew more serious.
"Why Dragons now?" Alexander was confused.
"I had a vision, Master," Julius took a deep breath.
"I had the same vision when Prince Jacob died." he lowered his voice, his eyes couldn't meet Alexander's.
Alexander's expressions didn't change. He gave a hollow stare to Julius. There was silence, except for the running wheels and the wind buzzing past his ears.
"It's been nineteen years, Julius." 
"I'm sorry, Master. I thought it was just a dream. Until the next day, I saw Prince Jacob's body lying near the stable. Forgive me, Master." Julius pleaded. his glistened eyes begged for forgiveness.
"How do you know about the Shadow Guards? You told their identity was a secret," this struck his mind at the right moment.
"I researched." 
"Aren't such secrets meant to be confidential?" Alexander questioned.
"Last time, when the Dragon King visited our province, I sensed something strange. One of the three Shadow Guards was standing close to me, yet I couldn't see him. But, right after the meeting was over, I saw a come out of the walls." he continued.
"I somehow caught hold him. This is from where I came to know about them." he stopped.
"Why do I need Shadow Guards?" Alexander couldn't understand. 
"Because, as I said, I had a vision," Julius emphasized the last word.
"Speak," Alexander ordered.
"You are a pure-blood, high on ranks. I just want you to be safe." Julius spoke as if wanted to say many things but failed bitterly.
"I do not have the authority to speak about this. You shall know once you reach Ostbarrow." being a butler, who serves his Master, he didn't find appropriate for him to spill the beans about the never spoken secrets.
"What you know about my mother?" Alexander knew that it was better to know the secrets from the direct authority.
"Lord Gerard shall answer this, Master." Julius bowed, indicating that he also had no right to speak about this.
"Looking forward to it" Alexander maintained his calm demeanor.

Sometimes, the deepest secrets under the wraps are supposed to be disclosed behind closed doors. For years many secrets were shrouded in secrecy, only very little was known about them. Even Alexander preferred to keep his cards close to his chest. But this time, he had a right to know about the skeletons inside the cupboard. His father even kept a secret which Alexander himself, found out after centuries. He had many secrets to unwrap, slowly. 

Looking at the trees which looked like they were sprinting past the moving carriage, he held the old book firmly. The ring on his finger made a soft sound against the wooden cover of the book. He carefully adjusted the ring, the crystal was turned down. He clenched his fist, the finger only showed the ring band, with the crystal secured inside the tight fist. Julius noticed the small change in his master's mood, which made his lips arch slightly upwards. 

The three days stay in Ostbarrow will be quite exhausting.

They were ready.

Soon after a day, they reached the Ostbarrow palace.  The rusty iron gate squeaked open for the carriage to get inside. Julius stepped out of the castle and hurried to the other side of the carriage to open the door for Lord Alexander. Stepping out, Alexander saw the huge palace. The old palace was extended over the centuries. The pillars stood tall beyond the big entrance gate. There was a huge white statue of a lady, left to the garden. Alexander walked slowly, his eyes scanned his surroundings, noticing every minor detail. Julius was behind him, his eyes moved cautiously. As soon as they reached the palace door, an old man in a white and black suit, opened the giant entrance door. 
"Good morning, Lord Alexander. Welcome to the Ostabarrow palace,"
"I'm Robert, the butler." the old man bowed before Alexander.

"Good morning, Robert," Alexander's lips arched upwards to give a graceful smile.
"Good morning, Robert. I'm Julius, the butler of the Brookville palace." Julius's eyes didn't miss the strange look Robert's eyes.
"This way, please," Robert gave a sweet smile, making his wrinkles more prominent. 

Entering the door, they saw a series of paintings hung on the walls of the huge hall. Those were the paintings of the great witches of all time. Looking one after another, Alexander's eyes carefully noticed each and every painting. In the end, he saw a lady's painting. She looked smarter and wiser than most. Her wisdom was evident in the brow and curve of her full lips. Her hazel eyes showed her soul. Her skin looked pale, but her face glowed with confidence. Her dainty nose was imposing. Long, wavy blonde hair, so smooth and silky, almost as it looked like a pastel painting. With her hair of wool and her head held high, she looked confident. 
She was his mother. Alexander's face showed no emotions. He continued walking past the paintings and also his mother's painting as if he didn't know about her. Julius didn't miss his master's action and reaction towards this. It was the same painting, but this one had a golden frame around it. 

Lord Gerard was standing on the stairs, looking at Alexander. He smiled when he noticed that Alexander didn't give any reaction when he saw the painting. He slowly climbed down the wooden stairs. Hearing the footsteps, Alexander looked towards the approaching figure. 
"Good morning, Alexander." Lord Gerard smiled widely.
"Good morning, Lord Gerard," Alexander smiled gently.
"Many years... after many years... you've grown to be the most powerful king. Just like your father," Lord Gerard admired how the little kid back then had grown up this big and powerful. 
"Thank you, nice to meet you too." Alexander took two steps forward to give a hug. 
The hug was warm and welcoming. Lord Gerard was tall, but Alexander was even taller than him. 
"Come, I'll show you your room." Lord Gerard gestured him to walk beside him.
"My greetings to the great Lord Gerard," Julius bowed.
"Join us, Julius." Lord Gerard was happy to see him.

Climbing the stairs, they went straight to the guest room. Alexander's room was adjacent to Lord Gerard's. Julius being the butler, had his room next to Lord Alexander's.

Set in the 1870s

A 5-year-old Margaret lived with her widowed mother in a small village of Brookville. For the little girl, everything seemed perfect until one day her world drowned in an ocean of blood.

"Margaret listen to Momma" her mother pleaded with her hands cupping the small face.
"The world is not a safe place for you. If I leave you, do not cry okay? You must live.." the mother tried to pull her lips to smile but she failed.
"Momma loves you" Emilia kissed her daughter for the last time.
Having no idea what was happening she saw her mother leave the house without turning back.
Hearing the sounds of tearing flesh and screams, scared little Margaret found a place to hide.

As the only survivor of the massacre, will Margaret be able to survive? Will she be able to unfold the mystery behind the death of her mother?


10 years later

"Good morning mother, good morning father" Margaret greeted.


The main continent, Ceadon is divided into four provinces, namely the land of Brookville, the land of Ostbarrow, the land of Wintermere and the land of Shadowlake.

To maintain peace among the four provinces, the mythical creatures such as the vampires, the witches, the dragons and the werewolves lived in their respective province. Humans resided in all provinces. Staying amidst the vampires, will Margaret be able to know who she is? 

The young girl sets to find her true identity, and on her way meets the Enchanted Soul.

"It doesn't matter if she likes him or not, she has responsibilities, she is a princess and she must abide to what she has to do. This time she could sleep after her monologue and for the first time in her 117 years of life she dreamed. 
In her dream there was a man, the most handsome man she has ever seen, with black hair and blue-green eyes, his tall figure was standing just in front of her, his expression was filled with longing and nostalgia, he wanted to touch her but before he could do it he disappeared. 
Elizabeth woke up with tears in her eyes, she didn't know why but her heart hurt so much, she wanted to see him again so she went to sleep again but he didn't appear again.

In the human world
'Here is this dream again' 
Alexander Snow the son of the "queen" has been dreaming about a woman, no, a girl. The girl is too young to be called a woman. But she is the most beautiful girl he has ever seen,  her long black hair that shines like it was filled with stars, her gray-violet eyes that are filled with love for him every time he sees her in his dreams, her small and delicate frame that asked him to not leave her and protect her. 
He can't stand it anymore, he has been dreaming with her since he was ten years old, every night it's the same dream. When he was a kid he liked her just for her looks, when he was a teenager he desired her, but now he can feel the almost insane feeling of love for her, but she doesn't exist or at least he doesn't know her, he has been looking for someone with her characteristics all over the world but he hasn't found her, at this rate he will be the last of his line. 
He has tried to have a girlfriend but when the woman asked him to kiss her or to touch her he couldn't, he just didn't desire her and even felt disgusted with her even though she didn't have any fault and was incredible gorgeous and seductive. 
"What am I going to do?" asked Alexander to himself while hugging his head with his hands. 
"Well I can't do anything for the time being, better focus on my work than to think of that devilish girl"
'Stupid girl, when will you appear?'
... 
Non Humans world
"Sneeze!! mmm someone must be thinking about me, I wonder if it's that handsome man... But men that handsome must be dirty, just look at that dirty Lycan prince"
'How can I find that man?' Elizabeth asked herself while holding her chin thinking really hard, after all she has been too pampered and she hasn't has time to think for herself. 
"Oh!! I know!! My father has the world's witches book, the one that contains every witchcraft in the world and the most powerful one... I'll find you my belove, but if you are dirty I'll leave you right away even if that breaks my heart"
.... 
"My beautiful daughter where are you going?" King Moon asked his daughter after seeing her going to the forbidden tower. 
"Handsome daddy, I want to play in the tower" Princess Moon answered with a cute blink of her eyes. 
"The tower is a forbidden place little girl, don't tell me that you don't know, this is the first time that you want to enter there, what happened?"
"Well, daddy, it's just that I had a dream and I wanted to know what it meant"
"What?! You had a dream?!!"
"Yes?" Elizabeth was intrigued by her father's reaction. 
"Go back to your room and don't step out" King Moon had a serious face when leaving this words behind to his beloved daughter.

Royal Study
"Carmine, go to the chambers and call the queen to my study..."
"Yes, master"
.... 
"What has happened for you to call me this urgent?" The queen asked feeling rather nervous. 
"Come and close the door... Carmine, you too, come"
Carmine is Elizabeth's nana and most trusted aide of King and Queen Moon, so she must know what could happen. 
"My gorgeous wife the little girl has had a dream" King Moon said with sadness in his eyes. 
"What?!" Carmine and the queen exclaimed at the same time. 
It's common knowledge that vampires don't dream, and when witches have dreams they are part of their future. Elizabeth is a hybrid between a vampire and a wizard so she is also a witch and her dreams are premonitions. 
"In my whole life I have had only three dreams,  the first one showed me my beloved the queen, the second one that told me I will have a beautiful daughter and the third one is the only that I dreaded the most, the one that told me that my daughter was going to leave this world, I don't know what kind of leaving is, if it's going to the human world or dying, but either of them are horrible" King Moon said with sadness. 
"Husband, what did she said? Did she tell you her dream?" Queen Moon asked with tears in her eyes, while Carmine was already crying. 
"No, she didn't tell me and I didn't ask, she just wanted to enter the forbidden tower, and I think it has something to do with my mother's book"
"Master, what if you let her have that book? It may help her in her destiny, she must have enough power to whatever comes in the future for her" Carmine asked King Moon. 
"She hasn't ascended yet, nor as a vampire neither as a witch, she is too young" King Moon said. 
"What will happen with Blood Rain pack?" Queen Moon suddenly remembered that savage prince and asked her husband. 
"We will let everything to fate, we can't do anything against it and if we move a single finger to try to change it our daughter will be hurt"
"Sigh" The three of them sigh in the Royal study. 
Meanwhile, little princess Elizabeth was entering the forbidden tower to play a little bit with her grandmother's big book.

A hybrid vampire-witch princess runs away from her palace before her ascension ceremony and after discover her engagement with the Lycan prince. 
She had a vision, in her vision her lovely human prince was waiting for her to find him and love him and she must do it, her beloved can't be left behind even if that ruins her parents plans. 

He is the only son of the most powerful woman in the world, she was called the queen so his nickname was The Crown Prince. 
Since he was a kid, every night in his dreams the most beautiful woman that he has ever seen appear, and because of that he can't be close to other women. He must find that woman if he ever wants to have a family.

Me, Darius, Max, my father, Li, Melanie and my grandfather came to lord Agamanan's house.
It's an old house with stone walls and an ancient look to it.
The house is three storey, first floor has a living room, kitchen, dining room. The second floor has bedrooms. Third floor is prohibited to enter and that's where the books are. Third floor has four walls, if any person accidentally entered in to it and see that, they will just see four plain stone walls, nothing else.
But the lord murmured a spell and a magical curtain opens revealing hundreds of books floating in the air systematically.
"Wow" I whisper looking around me. Max,Li and Melanie are also awestruck with the magic library. The remaining people act like it's nothing. They must have seen this before. 
"If you touch any book, it will open and display on the white wall. Your modern day movie projector works with the same principle" lord Agamanan explains.
Li touches a book and recoil her hand like it burned her.
Every one around us except Max, Melanie and me laughs at the incident.
"Only certain people can touch them. Mostly all higher level Witches can touch. Apart from few powerfull witches, only Darius and Lucian can touch them" the lord explains still chuckling a little bit.
"Should have said it before" Li mutters still clutching her hand.
"You should have waited till they did" Max teases Li.
"Shut up" Li glares at him.
"Max and Orphelia, will you pay attention" my father reprimand them.
Me and Mel chuckle, which makes Max clutch his heart dramatically and Li rolls her eyes.
"If we cannot touch these books, then why are we here" I ask them confused.
"You cannot touch them, but that doesn't mean you cannot read them. The person who touches these books will let the content display on the walls around us. But, it only last there for just 1 minute. You have to write the content as it is, even if you don't understand it. That way we can decode it after we finish writing the content of the books which I feel might help us" Lord Agamanan explains.  
Now I understand why he bought us all. He allowed us all, as many as he can, so that we don't miss any details.
"King Darius will you assist Thea, Max and William" the lord requested Darius.
"Ofcourse" he replied smoothly.
"Ok then, you guys write everything on the left side of the pages and we take care of the right side" he clarified.
"Hmm" Darius hums his approval.
"Ok" we all say in union.
"Is there any particular book we are searching for" Max asks eying the huge room filled with books.
"Yes, 'ancient spells to unlock the magical abilities' there are 3 books named with the same title. Find those three. We need them all" he instructs us.
"If you know, which books are most importantly, why not arrange them properly, so that we don't have to search them, when we need it" I ask him confused.
He is a lord of Witches. They have all kinds of magic at their disposal. Surely he can cast a spell, and the books will be arranged by themselves.
The lord smiles at me gently.
"That's not possible darling. These books will rearrange themselves every night. No matter how many times a person comes here, there is no way he or she can remember the exact location of a book. Because, it won't be there anymore" he Pat's my head in a fatherly gesture. 
I smile at him a little. 
"Let's hurry, we need to leave the library, before sun Set" he address all the others.
We all go in different directions to search for the books mentioned by the lord. 
"God, this place is scary" I heard Melanie mutter from somewhere to my left.
"You are right" Max chimes from behind me.
"Guys concentrate" I remind them that we are on limited time basis.
If we could find those books today, well and good, or else we have to start our search from the begining tomorrow.
I find something shining a few feet in front of me. My feet carry me forward until I stand in front of it. It's in the size of my fist. I look closely to find what is shining so brightly.
There is nothing inside it, just air. This is like air is shining from with in, with out any source. I raise my fingers and touch it gently.
My entire body freezes for a second. The library disappears from around me. I feel weight less as if I am in the air. 
I look around myself and notice that I am in space. Stars shine all around me and planets revolves around the stars. 
I feel like I am looking at Everything in a miniature version. I feel bigger than the stars and planets around me. 
Some thing is pulling me upwards, stars and planets becoming distant.
I turn away from all of these to enter two huge set of gates made of gold and diamonds. The gates shine brighter than any stat I have ever seen.
There is a figure facing away from me who's features are blurred by the clouds. The moment I look at that presence, peace washes over me. 
My feet carry me forward towards through the gates towards the peace.
"Angel" my feet stopped at the threshold of the gates listening to the voice, which calls for me. 
My heart responds to that voice with a skipped beat.
"Would you like to come back" the peacefull presence who is still behind the clouds asks me gently.
I look back in the direction from where I heard that voice.
I hesitate because, I don't want to say no to him. But my heart tugs me in the direction of the voice.
"You still love him I see" the presence says amused.
"I don't know what I feel. But I want to go back to him. Is it.. is it wrong" I ask the presence hesitantly.
"No my child, it is not. You both came a very long way. It's time you get to be together." thank you, I bow in front of him with respect.
"But, beware my child the evil wants to snatch my child from her love" the presence warns gravely.
In this moment, I don't know who I am and what all this is. But the thought of some one snatching away my love brings an immense pain in my heart. I don't want to be separated from him again, who ever he is.
"Please forgive me for asking this, but is there any way to banish the evil" I ask hopefully.
"The one you love, will not let you go so easily child. Your story started with you loving him. But now it is he, who loves you more than anything in this world. I hope he doesn't the world I so lovingly carved by myself" the presence says amused.
"Breath Angel. You cannot take her away from me. I just got her back. Please take me away as well" an anguished cry from the one I love tears my heart.
I look behind me to assure him I am fine. His pain is more painful for me than my own.
"Go child, if you delay any further, he might come here collect you himself" the presence chuckles softly.
Then I am falling.

Thea is a normal human girl...
