Early February, the temperature is still cold and the weather is a color Sheen would describe, pale blue. It's a color that makes you feel the coldness and the warmth that the sky will make you feel. 

Light clouds surround the vast sky which mixes with the sun's Ray's during sunset and sunrise. 

Sheen covers her eyes while looking up, covered in a fluffy cream-colored jacket, she is on her way to pass an initial plot for her new novel this coming December. 

Before her college graduation, she had two national awards for writers: Best Teen Novel Writer and Influencer of the Year, from a single book that she was writing during her college days. 

Her books are like new series shown on the television, it catches everyone's attention. 

It becomes a talk in the street and a trending hashtag, it is something that everyone knows. 

But not everyone knows the author's real name since she only publishes with her pen name: Sheen. Only her co-workers, family and friends know who she is, Sierra Haley Eureka Ellaine Neomi Verrez or Sheen. 

With her not-very-long-name, not only she chooses Sheen as her public identity, but it is also to keep her own world on her hands and her writing world to the outside. 

As she walks to her office, she stumbles upon a familiar face.


Someone she would not want to see but is dying to see. 

The irony and the contradiction, makes her heart beat thousands faster than normal, her face burns a higher degree, her whole body stuck at the last movement. 

The person who made her that way saw her pathetic state but for some reason, didn't react and made his way out of her sight, as if she was not there, as if there was nothing to give attention to.

 After some time, Sheen had collected herself and continued walking, but her mind got stuck to the pair of eyes she saw and missed so badly which made her forget where her office is and found herself in front of the mirror while tears are flowing from her eyes. "I still..." was the only words that she uttered, incomplete yet full of the feeling she keeps. 

Pain, love, and longing. 

She wiped her tears with some tissue she has and retouched her makeup to hide the redness around her eyes. She then went to her office.

"Sheen, a lady whose heart was broken by a man who she loved the most, is a famous national author. The books she writes are about romance yet she never really did experience romance itself. We made a call with the author of Leaving on a public plane to answer some questions." 

The television echoed around the office when she arrived, the interview she had yesterday is now on air. 

Since she is an unknown writer, they have decided to just have a call interview instead of going to the show. 

She silently seats down as her co-workers watch the show. 

"So, how come you have never been in a romance? You told us in your last interview that you have been in love before yet here you are, an untouched romance novelist."

She remembered how that question made her feel yesterday, it questioned her view of herself about her relationship with her first love. 

Many didn't understand what she said in her last interview. "Let me clarify that, yes, I fell in love. But I was the only one in love. 

You see, romance is something that is created from two individuals who shares and feels the same. 

You can't have a romantic relationship with someone who doesn't feel what you feel." As the words penetrate her ears, she smiled. 

Those were something that she would write in her novels. The pain of unrequited love from a romance writer.

Sheen, a famous book author of romance and a victim of unrequited love, finds herself in need of true romance for a new novel. She stumbles upon young men while thirsty to create the novel she needs to write, she jumps from one romance to another to create the perfect romantic book she can ever write.

Alam ko ilang daan beses ko na po itong sinabi pero sasabihin ko pa rin. BUONG PUSO PO AKONG NAGPAPASALAMAT sa lahat ng mga readers na tumangkilik at sumubaybay mula umpisa hanggang sa huli. 

Naiiyak ako kasi tears of joy na natapos natin ang TRILOGY! At kasama ko kayong lahat sa pagbuo ng story ni Lexine at Night. 

My goodness! Ito ang pinaka-tini-treasure ko sa puso ko among all the Novels na naisulat ko. Most likely MBIAGR will always be my favourite. Marami na din akong nasulat dati sa Wattpad. For some reasons, I stopped writing for four years. Tapos dinilete ko ung mga stories ko dun kasi puro pabebe at 'teen fiction' LOL.

Anyways, ang dami kong emosyon at effort na binigay dito. Yung mga brain cells ko nag-work out ng bonga-bonga para makaisip ng mga plot, twist, at kung ano-ano pa to give you guys a satisfying story. Kayo talaga na mga readers ko ang inspiration and motivation ko to do better in my craft. Masaya ako kapag nababasa ko ang mga comments and reviews niyo. 

Kasi, I felt that I had served my purpose. Huwaw! Hahaha! 

Yung may napasaya kang tao, na-inspired, napangiti, na-touched ang puso nila, sa mga panahon na malungkot sila, nandoon ka. You gave them light and hope, out from their infinite forlorn! Mga ganern! Charrr! Hahaha! 

Sa pagsusulat ko na-i-express ang mga bagay na nasa utak ko. Through writing I was able to open up the things in my head and share it with other people. Alam niyo ba, sa tuwing sinusulat ko ang mga scene, pini-feel ko talaga. Like kung galit, masaya, nakakilig, nakakatawa, nakakatakot, nakakainis. So isipin niyo na lang gaano ako ka-BIPOLAR sa totoong buhay. Wahahaha! 

But seriously, I put all my emotions in this novel. Para mabigyan ng buhay ang emotions ng mga characters, para madala ko kayo sa mundo nila, kaya ma-detalyado ako magsulat, yung mga pag-ri-research at panunood ng youtube videos para masulat ko ang mga actions scenes. Hahaha! Pati na rin love scenes. Pero karamihan dun based on my personal experience! Wahahah!

Kaya sana kahit paano napasaya, napaiyak, napangiti at na-touch ang puso niyo ng story ni Lexine at Night. Sana, may mga natutunan din kayong lesson in different aspects of life. Sana I was able to deliver it well. Alam ko may mga palya din ako as an author, marami pa akong kakaining bigas at dapat na matutunan. Everyday I continue to learn and explore my writing skills. Para sa mga susunod pang nobela ko ay mas makapagbigay pa ako ng mas magagandang kwento.

A group of young teen walk up to an ancient, decaying, decrepit mansion that looks as if it will fall apart with the slightest gust of wind yet it still stands in the gale-force winds that threatened to knock the teens over "Are you sure that this is the right place, Alex?" asked a teen with long brown curly locks, tanned skin and storm grey eyes bordering on a dull silver. 

"*sigh* Yes Zoë I'm sure that this is the right place." replies another teen with short jet black hair contrasting his pale snow-like skin and ice-like blue eye. 

"Well can we get inside? it's freezing out here and the rain is ruining my hair." questioned the third teen with shortish dyed yellow hair, heavily tanned skin and the same storm grey eyes as Zoë. 

"As much as I hate this I agree with my brother it's getting cold out here," replied Zoë trying by cuddling to the two sources of heat. 

"Well, then let us get going Zoë, Helios." with that Zoë starts running up to the house along with Helios while Alex just walks.

Around 3 hours later "Does anyone else think that this place is weird." asks Alex 

"I win you owe me £100 Helios," states Zoë while slightly rejoicing. 

"*sigh* Yes yes I do but I don't understand how the fuck he didn't realise that everything in this fucking house moved at one point but no he only realises it when we're about to enter the basement." loudly complains Helios

"It isn't my fault that it just feels normal to me because of the fact that I commune with spirits occasionally" replied Alex to Helios' complaints

"I understand that but how the hell is it possible for you to be used to something that not even the most insane person would be used to like what are you the prince of death having a little holiday to the mortal realm its fucking impossible for a human to be used to this shit."

" I don't know either it's just instinct for me to be not bothered by anything paranormal and stuff like that."

"Yea yea we already know all of this let's just get down into the basement already ok."

"Sure/Yep"

As the trio walks down towards the door the creaking of the stairs and the door slowly opening creates a strange melody behind the melody of a piano being played masterfully from the floor above them.

This will be a book of one-shots that I think of I won't be following an update schedule because of school so I will only be writing when I have time or when I feel like writing.

MAG-ISA si Misoo sa classroom habang tinitiklop ang P.E uniform niya. Tapos na ang klase niya para sa araw na `yon kaya ngayon, nakasuot na lang siya ng red T-shirt na itinerno niya sa red and black plaid skirt ng school uniform niya. Hindi na rin niya isinuot uli ang knee-high socks at black shoes niya. Sa halip ay hindi na niya hinubad ang white sneakers na ginamit niya sa P.E class nila kanina. Siyempre, hindi rin niya hinuhubad ang fingerless blackglove sa kanang kamay niya.

Kasusukbit niya lang ng backpack sa mga balikat niya nang bumukas ang pinto ng classroom nila at pumasok sa loob ang isa sa mga best friend niyang si Jana.

"Bes, kanina pa kita hinahanap!" excited na sabi ni Jana, saka siya hinawakan sa kamay at hinila palabas ng classroom nila. "Paalis na sina Aries! Kailangan mo silang makita ng malapitan para naman hindi ka magsisi sa pag-deadma mo sa hottest teen stars ngayon!"

Ipinaikot lang ni Misoo ang mga mata. "Tapos na ang shooting nila? Well, that's good. And may I remind you that I'm not a fan of local teen stars?"

Bumungisngis lang si Jana. "You have to admit that they don't look like ordinary teen stars, though. There's something special about them that makes them stand out from the rest."

Natahimik si Misoo at hinayaan na lang si Jana na hilahin siya hanggang sa makarating sila sa front porch ng main building. Sa dami ng mga estudyanteng nakaharang sa daan, hindi na sila nakalakad kaya do'n na lang sila huminto para abangan ang pagdaan ng mga teen star.

Na-trap na rin do'n ang iba pa nilang mga kaibigan na sina Daye, Elnora, at Wynn (na wagas ang reklamo na hindi na nito makita sina 'Therese' at 'Althea' na kine-claim ng lalaki bilang mga girlfriend nito). Nakalabas pa ang kanya-kanyang mga phone ng schoolmates nila habang kinukuhanan ng pictures at videos ang mga teen star na kasalukuyan nang pumapasok sa isang itim na van.

Ayaw man niya, hinanap niya ang lalaking nakaaway niya sa tapat ng gym kanina.

Naningkit ang mga mata ni Misoo nang makita ang mayabang na lalaki (kasunod ang sikat na celebrity host na si Aries) na mahirap hindi mapansin dahil sa tangkad nito at tindig na parang sundalo. A very handsome and strong-looking solider at that.

Hahanga na sana siya sa lalaki, pero naalala na naman niya ang engkuwentro nila ng aroganteng `yon. Bukod sa maaanghang nilang palitan ng mga salita kanina, hindi rin niya makakalimutan ang malakas na kuryente na naramdaman nang hawakan siya ng buwisit na `yon.

Kung saan `yon nanggaling, hindi niya alam at hindi na niya gustong alamin pa. Mabuti na nga lang at aalis na ang grupong `yon. Makakahinga na siya ng maluwag.

"They're like demigods!" parang nangangarap na sabi naman ni Daye, isa sa mga kaibigan niya. "Aside from being good-looking, ang lakas din ng charisma nila! They're really special, `di ba?"

Napasimangot naman si Misoo. Bumaba ang tingin niya sa mga kakaibang tattoo sa braso ng aroganteng lalaki. Pati si Aries, meron ding gano'n sa katawan nito. Ang ipinagtataka niya lang, mukhang siya lang ang nakakakita ng mga tattoo na `yon.

Nang minsan siyang manood ng Fearless sa TV dahil sa pamimilit ni Jana dati, napansin agad niya ang tattoo na `yon sa braso ng main host na si Aries. Pero ang sabi ng kaibigan niya, wala naman itong nakitang kahit anong marka sa katawan ng lalaki.

Alam niyang may kakaibang abilidad siya kaysa sa mga ordinaryong tao at pilit niya `yong tinatago kaya hindi na niya uli pinapansin ang kakaibang bagay na siya lang ang nakakakita o nakakaramdam.
`Yon din ang dahilan kung bakit hindi na uli siya nanood ng Fearless. Hindi naman niya akalain na darating ang araw na makikita pa niya ng malapitan ang mga kakaibang teen star na `yon. Mabuti na lang, isang araw lang nag-shoot ang mga ito sa academy nila.

"Friends, I'll go ahead," pagpapaalam ni Misoo sa mga kaibigan niya.

Hindi siya napansin nina Jana at Daye na sabay tumili ng pagkalakas-lakas nang dumaan sa harap ang van kung saan nakasakay ang mga teen star. Mabuti na lang, narinig naman siya nina Wynn at Elnora na sabay lumingon sa kanya.

"Pupunta ka uli ro'n?" may halong simpatya na tanong ni Elnora.

"Gusto mong ihatid kita?" offer naman ng ever-gentleman na si Wynn.

Nakangiting umiling si Misoo. "No, thanks. Kaya ko na ang sarili ko. See you tomorrow."

Tinalikuran na niya ang mga kaibigan niya bago pa magpumilit ang mga ito na sumama sa kanya. Hindi naman sa ayaw niyang makasama ang mga ito. Gusto niya lang ng solong oras kasama si Nigel. Hindi naman maniniwala sa kanya ang mga kaibigan niya kaya mas mabuti kung sasarilinin na lang niya ang sekreto niya.

At ano ang sekretong `yon?

Simple lang: nakikipag-date pa rin siya sa boyfriend niya na namatay isang buwan na ang lumilipas. Oo, nakakausap at nakakasama pa rin niya ang kaluluwa nito hanggang ngayon na para bang buhay na tao pa rin ang lalaki.

Ang ironic lang na tungkol sa mga multo ang Fearless na paboritong reality show ng mga kaibigan niya, pero hindi naman naniniwala ang mga ito sa mga kaluluwa. Ayon sa barkada niya, scripted lang daw ang programa at ginagamit lang ang magaganda at guwapong mga teen star para magpataas ng rating. `Yon daw ang habol ng viewers at hindi mismo ang pag-e-exorcise sa mga multo.

Pero si Misoo, alam niyang totoo ang ginagawang pagtataboy ng grupo sa mga ligaw na kaluluwa, sa pamumuno ng main host na si Aries. Isang beses lang niyang napanood ang programa, pero sigurado siyang totoong mga multo ang nakita niya na pinapaalis ng mga ito. Alam niya dahil simula pagkabata, nakakakita na siya ng mga hindi ordinaryong nilalang gaya ng mga multo.

`Yon ang dahilan kung bakit natakot siya nang malaman niyang darating ang cast ng Fearless sa school nila. Inisip kasi niya na kapag nakita ng mga ito ang kaluluwa ni Nigel ay baka itaboy ng grupo ang boyfriend niya.

Actually, `yong dalawang babae na 'Questor' kanina ay tinangkang itaboy si Nigel. Mabuti na lang at napaalis niya ang mga ito. Gano'n din ang mayabang na lalaki na basta na lang siyang nilayasan matapos siya nitong kuryentihin.

"Nigel?" pagtawag ni Misoo nang makapasok siya sa gym. Walang tao ro'n pero nararamdaman niya ang presensiya ng boyfriend niya. "Are you still here?"

"Misoo!"

Napangiti si Misoo nang nag-materialize ang kaluluwa ni Nigel. Nakaupo ito sa pinakamababang baitang ng bleacher. Nilapitan agad niya ito at tinabihan. Tumayo agad ang mga balahibo niya sa mga braso dahil sa malamig na presensiya ng binata. "Hi. How are you?"

Bumuga ng hangin si Nigel, saka sumimangot. "I'm still locked up here. `Yong mga Questor kanina, kinulong nila ako rito. Hindi ako makakalabas ng gym na `to hangga't hindi nawawala ang epekto ng kapangyarihan nila."

Napangiwi si Misoo. Nararamdaman nga niya ang kakaibang kapangyarihan sa paligid niya. "What exactly are these 'Questors,' Nigel? What do they do?"

"They drive away evil spirits, Misoo," sagot naman ni Nigel sa seryosong boses. "Ang mga Questor eh hindi ordinaryong mga tao na may malakas na kapangyarihan. Mas mataas ang spirit force nila kesa sa mga mortal na 'gifted' lang. Marami silang kayang gawin sa mga tulad kong multo at mga kaluluwa na hindi na dapat tumuntong sa mundo ng mga buhay na gaya mo."

"Why do you know so much about them, Nigel?"

Nagkibit-balikat si Nigel. "Mahilig akong magbasa ng paranormal books dati. Nabasa ko ang tungkol sa mga gaya nilang Questor kaya alam ko kung ano ang ginagawa nila."

Napasimangot si Misoo. "Kapag nakita ka nila, itataboy ka nila?"

Tumango si Nigel. "Hindi na ko dapat nandito dahil namatay na ko." Nilingon siya nito at ngumiti ng malungkot. "Pero anong magagawa ko? Hindi kita kayang iwan, Misoo."

Nalungkot lalo si Misoo. Tatlong linggo pa lang silang nag-de-date ni Nigel nang mamatay ito dahil sa isang car accident. Mahal na mahal niya ang boyfriend niya kaya nasaktan talaga siya sa pagkawala nito.

Pero ilang araw matapos ilibing si Nigel, nagpakita sa kanya ang kaluluwa ng boyfriend niya. Ang problema lang, hindi makaalis sa school nila ang multo nito kaya nagkikita lang sila sa gym. Varsity player kasi ito ng basketball team no'ng nabubuhay pa at do'n din sila madalas mag-date dati.

Hindi niya sinabi sa mga kaibigan niya na nagkikita sila ng multo ni Nigel. Ang akala ng mga ito, nag-re-reminisce lang siya kaya madalas siyang magpunta sa gym.

"I will protect you, Nigel," determinadong sabi naman ni Misoo. "Hindi ako papayag na may kahit sino ang magtataboy sa kaluluwa mo. I want to be with you forever."

Also, I create poems about love and songs.

I always quote romantic words in my posts. 

The only problem is that...

I, myself, is single. 

I never dated anyone in my past 19 years of living.

Why?

It's not because I can't.

I mean, guys do ask me out.

I just turn them down the moment they confess, yes. That fast.

But, hey, don't jump into conclusions and say that I am acting so rude or that I look at myself in a very high position.

I don't want to.


I am... complicated.

"Jane, hun, can you help me in the kitchen?" My Mom said while peeking in the door.

I nodded and put away my tablet and stands up.

"You should do something productive during your semestral break," she said while scratching her back as we go downstairs.

"Mommmmm..." I drag my voice as I follow her, "I'm studying hard for almost.. uh, five months. At least let me do things I like for three weeks."

"Come on, at least like something that can help you. Like... studying foreign language instrument. Aren't you getting tired of using the keyboard?" 

"What? No. What are we cooking?" I ask her as we enter the kitchen. 

There are vegetables on the table, cookware, and spices.

"Well... since it's been raining for a while, why don't we make a soup, I thought. So... we're making a soup," Mom answered and went to wash her hand.

"Alright. Can I play something on Spotify?" I asked her and connected my phone to the speaker in the living room.

"Yeah, just pick something that I will enjoy."

I nodded and went to my Spotify account and picked a song.

"You love to sing this when I was a kid," I said as I hop to the kitchen.

"Yeah, I did. It was really catchy you know. You and Me... It's so sweet," she whispers as I take out a knife to cut the other vegetables.

I suddenly stopped and stared at her. 

I know she still misses Dad, I do too.

But... she already accepted the fact that they are not for each other. 

And that...

Is one of the reasons why I am single.

It's been five years since my parents divorced.

Honestly, it didn't hurt that much since I grew up with them living separately.

I'll not tell the whole story but let's just put it this way.

Even the love between married people... disappears.

So, what more to the person who you didn't even promised to love till death?

I sighed and cheerfully went to help her. 

We laughed and enjoyed the time while cooking and even more so while eating together as we watch a romantic movie.

My mom used to hate my hobby but as she slowly heals, she slowly enjoyed romantic things.

We spent the whole day binge-watching movies and playing games.

We do this every time it's her day-off and if I don't have anything to do.

After dinner, my mom asked me to sleep with her in the living room to continue our movie marathon.

But as we get into the climax of this teen romance, she suddenly asked the question that I always avoid.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" She whispers while watching.

I looked at her surprised, the only light that helped me to see her is from the television since we already closed all the lights to seem like we're in a cinema.

"What?" I asked while looking at her.

"I'm just curious since you're all romance and love. It's fine if you do, just introduce him to me tomorrow, I don't care if it's raining. Take him here," she said as if I already said yes.

"No, I don't have one," I replied and went to look at the T.V.

"What? Why?" I can see that she looks at me in shock.

Her eyes are wide and her brows are furrowed.

"I just don't have one. I don't want one to be honest."

"Are you... into girls? Then, let me see her. Oh my... I wonder what she looks like..." She said in between giggles.

"I don't have anyone, Mom."

She suddenly sits and looks at me, "What? Why? You're missing out a lot in your young age!" 

I rolled my eyes and turned around to avoid her gaze.

"I just don't want to be in a relationship," I answered and closed my eyes.

"Come on, is it because of the divorce? I'm telling you not every relationship wrecks. I just kind of... meet the wrong one."

I can hear the pain in her voice. 

She knew that it somehow impacted me in a way.

"Mom, it's not because of the divorce," I lied, "I just can't handle another person," I confessed.

I laid on my back and stared at the ceiling.

She still sits on the floor while looking at me.

"I mean... I can't commit yet, Mom. You know how I get tired of things easily, right?"

"But you liked someone for seven years! It was just this year that you finally got over him." 

I looked at her annoyed, how can she bring this topic in the right moment?

"Mom... That's also a reason. When I love, I really love. I mean... ugh!" I covered my face with the blanket, "I'm sleepy!" 

She laughs, "I saw him the other day in the convenience store with his girlfriend. Of course, he didn't talk to me because he does not know me. But I know that face which made my baby cry,"  She teased as she pokes me. 

"Stop," I said, "Goodnight. Turn the T.V. off when you're done watching."

"Come on, I'm telling you. It's fine if you have a lover. Just be sure to introduce them to me," She said and I can feel that she lays down beside me.

I just sighed and went to sleep.

The morning after, I woke up with a note in front of me.

"Hey, Baby. I went to work early. I don't want to wake you up. Here's the money if you want to go out. Just bring an umbrella, okay?" 

I saw bills under beside the note.

She's always like this. 

Living early.

Leaving money.

But I never go out.

I just save up the money to buy posters and albums and things that will feed my hobby.

I turn around and got blinded by the sunlight from the window.

"Ah, what a sunny day," I said and slowly gets up.

I took my phone and saw three messages from my one and only friend, Lucia. 

Her messages are all about going out:

"Hey, mornin'! Wanna go out?"

"Janey Lady, let's go to the mall?"

"I'll be there at 10. See you!" 

I sighed and got up, folded the sheets and took them back to the cabinet but suddenly I noticed the clock, it's already quarter to 10.

Lucia should be here within  15 minutes but I don't have the energy to go out.

I still have to finish the series of this show that I am watching. 

I went to the kitchen and ate the breakfast Mom had prepared. 

5 minutes before 10, I washed my plates and went to stare outside in the window. 

The weather's nice.

It's been raining for straight three days and I kind of missed the sun and sky.

Maybe it's really good to go out for this day.

I suddenly saw Lucia standing at the gate, I waved at her and smiled before running to the door to open it for her.

"You still haven't changed yet?" She asks with a straight face while standing in front of the door.


"Well, I was not sure if I want to go out. And I woke up late. But don't worry, I'll just go take a quick shower and we'll go. I also want to buy new posters of My I.D. is Tokyo Beauty." I made a peace sign and l let her in.

She just pouts and went to sit on the couch, opened the T.V. and watch.

"If you want anything, just grab something in the fridge. I'll be quick," I said and run upstairs and hurriedly took a shower and changed.

I just put on skinny blue jeans and a shirt, took my sling bag and ran downstairs.

I saw Lucia eating yogurt while watching a DVD. 

"Hey, let's go?" I asked while pointing at the door.

She looks at me and turned off the T.V.

"You know, you change quick. Like really. Well, you don't have to do a lot. You look good in simple clothes." Lucia said as I lock the door.

We walked our way to the mall since we're already in the city. 

She asked me to go to the beauty shop first, "I might forget about my facial wash if we don't go there first," she said as our bags get checked in the entrance.

"Okay," I said as Lucia put her hands around my arms, "Then after that, we'll go to my Series Shop."

"Ugh, don't plan. We'll not enjoy this day if we plan things," Lucia said and pulled me to the left, "This way!"

There are not a lot of people since the mall just opened but as time passes by, the crowd gets heavier.

After buying the things we wanted, Lucia decided to grab some snack and we went inside an ice-cream shop.

"You haven't been too many shops, right?" Lucia asks while looking through the menu.

"Why go out when you have a lot of food in the house?" I said.

"Yeah, your kitchen's full! I mean, almost everything is in there."

I choose strawberry topped with choco banana ice cream while Lucia ordered a blueberry chocolate sundae.

We began eating them and talked about things, mostly about our instructors in our university.

"Yeah, that friend our English teacher brought was totally hot! Like, drop-dead handsome. He's only one year older than us, right?" Lucia asks.

I just look at her while trying to remember anyone hot that our instructor brought, I shake my head, "Can't remember."

Aside from not being interested in relationships, I am not also interested in people. 

I might've thought that the person was hot but I'll later forget about them especially if I don't know them.

"Really? You were staring at him when he came to the class!" Lucia's eyes were wide, not believing in what I said.

"Yeah? I was? I can't remember," I said and continued eating.

But suddenly she froze while looking at my back.

She pats me with the spoon in her hand, making my arms have ice cream on them.

"Hey!" I said and pulled her hand away, but she didn't stop.

Her eyes are full of excitement and surprise.

I sighed and look at my back.

There are just a group of men sitting.

But as I look at their faces, I recognize someone.

"It's him!" Lucia screech.

"Yeah, it's him," I whispered.

How long has it been? Two years?

He didn't change.

He's still lively. 

"I thought you don't remember?" Lucia asks.

I look at her, "What?"

"I thought you don't know the instructor's friend?" 

"Why?" 

"It's him! That guy beside the one wearing a black sweatshirt," Lucia pouted and gestures it to the guys' direction.

I look back, the one wearing black is Liam and the one beside him is... oh, yeah, he's hot.

His cold eyes, fair skin, eyebrows, dark hair... he looks like he has a chic personality.

I just nodded and went to look back at Lucia who's already looking head over heels.

"I'll talk to them," Lucia said and took her phone out of her bag.

"What?" I asked but she was just looking at the guy and went to them straight.

"Can I have your number?" I heard her ask.

I just look at her in disgust.

She's always like this whenever she sees a hot guy, but I think I will never get used to this.

I don't even know why an introvert like me became best buddies with an extrovert.

The guys look at her surprised but they later smiled and the two guys in front of Liam nodded.

The guy he's after rolled his eyes and ordered something to the waitress.

Liam smiled at Lucia but he didn't give his number.

As I stare at Lucia, I didn't notice that Liam is looking at me until I looked back at him.

He smiled at me and waved his hand.

I was surprised at first but I just smiled back.

The guys beside him looked at me coldly and looked back at Liam and then asks Lucia something.

Liam looks at the chic guy and nodded and smiled at Lucia while saying something.

Then the four guys stand us and walked towards our table with Lucia smiling widely.

"They'll sit with us, don't disagree, Liam already said you'll be fine with it," Lucia winked at me as she sits back.

Liam took another seat from another table while the others casually sit down.

"So, are you and Xan already dating?" Liam asks as he sits beside me.

I looked at him surprised, "What the fck?" I unconciously said, making Lucia almost spit the ice cream.

I don't curse but the way Liam casually asks me that question is very rude.

He knows how Xan treated me when he found out that I like him, of course, Liam's Xan's best friend. Xan's the seven-year crush of my sweet teen life.

Liam just stared at me, "Sorry if that offended you," he said.

"Well... why don't we introduce ourselves first? We all go to the same university so... I'm Lucia, biology department." Lucia smiled at them sweetly to break the awkwardness.

"I'm Frank, Chemistry Dept," the guy beside her said.

"I'm James, Chemistry Dept," the guy with hazel eyes said.

"I'm Vrenette, Vren for short," the guy that Lucia's into said coldly.

He's really chic. 

How could he not smile while introducing himself? 

"I'm Liam! From the criminology department, nice to meet you, Lucia," Liam said with a bright smile.

I just sighed, I hate introductions.

Everyone's looking at me and I hate it.

"Jane. Biology department," I said and went to take a bite of my ice cream.

Lucia looks at me annoyingly and texted me while the guys receive their orders.

"He's into you, don't be rude!" Lucia said.

I looked at her and replied, "What? Who?" 

My heart started pounding, I don't like this.

I don't like it when I learn this kind of things.

I hate it.

I hate myself.

I hate myself for not feeling the normal emotion of being excited when someone likes me.

I want to hide away from that person.

"Secret... Just be chill," Lucia replied.

"What the hell?" I whispered.

Lucia and the others started talking about school and class while I just listen to them in chaos.

Who is it? 

I really can't think of who.

No one will like someone at first glance.

No. I shouldn't be anxious.

Be chill.

Act normal.

But goodness, I've never been in this kind of situation.

I hate new people.

I hate going out.

I hate talking.

I hate socializing.

"Hey, you okay?" Liam asks. "Your hands are trembling. Are you okay?"

He looks at me worriedly, of course, he knows me.

"No," I whispered and smiled.

He looks at the guys, "Jane and I are going to grab some bread, you guys like ice cream with bread too, right?" He said.

I look at him, "What?" 

"Let's go. Lucia, you're okay with them, right?" He asks as he stands up.

"Yeah, go," Lucia smiled at me.

She also knows that I hate this, but she's occupied with socializing, something that suffocates me.

I stand up and followed Liam outside.

"Don't be nervous whenever someone new arrives, that'll ruin your relationships," Liam said as we walk towards a bakery.

"What can I do? I'm always like this," I answered.

"Sorry if I asked you something like that earlier. I just wanted to annoy you," Liam opened the door in the bakery for me.

"Thanks, no problem. I was just shocked. I never really heard his name for a while, so it kind of pissed me off. No worries," I said as I look around.

"Yeah... The things he did leave you irritated by him. Anyways, how are you?"

"I'm doing great. I am studying to be a doctor and I am still a socially awkward introvert," I answered and laughs.

"Well, as for me, I'm still the same old annoying jokester. But I promise I am going to be a policeman someday," Liam took a loaf bread and went to pay it.

"Do you want to share for the payment?" I asked as I take out my wallet.

"No," He waves his hand, "It's on me. By the way, I have a question. You have the right to not answer, but..."

I look at him while raising both of my eyebrows.

"What do you like in a guy?" He asks while taking the paper bag.

The cashier tries to not smile with what Liam asked.

I suddenly felt embarrassed and walks towards the door, "Let's get going, they might be looking for us."

Liam just followed me quietly behind.

What is happening?
