Romance is a very popular genre in Webnovels. The first thing that come to mind when we talk about romance are the CEO novels. Even though we don't want to admit it, they are the mainstream romance stories in the Webnovel website. 

So why do people love romance stories? I hope you find the answer while reading this chapter.

Elyon knew that "Romance" is not his strong point. He writes a fantasy story with romance, but he can't tell if the romance will be able to attract female readers. Out of curiosity, he asked some of his fellow authors the question "Why do you read romance stories?"

Here are their answers…

Kyosei: Because I am single. 

Reili: To fill my empty void of a love life.

Minrei: Because romance let you feel what is to be loved, plus it is universal you dont need to learn magic or cultivation in order to read.

Bajj: Due to lack of romance irl.

Murakami: I read because I enjoy the friction and conflict between the FL and ML. The insistence vs resistance is naisu.

Qin: I reads romance only for ideas and info.

VlassisBehrakis: I don't read romance novels.

Elyon then  ̶a̶m̶b̶u̶s̶h̶e̶d̶ asked some readers about their opinion about romance novels.

Yin: I read romance novels because I want that kind of drama to happen to me in real life. But I know it will never happen haha.

A Certain Irresistible Meowlin: I wonder why? And I do read romance novels. Though the chance of me dropping them is also the highest out of all the genres. Every so often I come across a scene that makes me just want to squeal and fangirl.

Elyon decided to dig deeper and asked a few of his senior "romance authors" some questions about their reason for writing romance stories.

The first question is… Why did you choose to write Romance Stories?

Anjeeriku: I'm comfortable writing romance stories compared to other genres. I'm a helpless romantic person and I like novels that can invoke other people's feelings.

Bajj: First of all, I like reading romance story. It was the reason why I read books before and reading other genres comes after. All in all, due to these romance fiction books, I got the opportunity to read more great books with different genre.

MishaK: That's what I read, so write that too.

Zehell2218: Because as reader, I want to read romance novel so when I write, I write romance since my motto is I write what I want to read.

Ikazainudin: The easiest genre. Everyone can relate.

End_of_Era: It wasn't a full on Romance, it was slice of life with romance which I feel was necessary with progression of the characters.

The second question… When you were making your ML and FL, did you imagine yourself as the lead of your story at any given point in time?

Anjeeriku: I would be a liar if I said no. There were instances that I'd put myself in my FL's shoes. Whenever that happens, my writing feels more passionate and truthful that sometimes it was hard to know where my fl starts and where I end. 

Shen Yi, LMD's ML was based on a person I've lost, The One That Got Away so it was sometimes hard not to self-insert whenever there were scenes that need to invoke feelings from readers. 

Bajj: I believe that every character the author was making and breathing life into it, a part of him/her is added to its character. But me imagining of being the ML/FL, never. I'm too pure for that. Kek

MishaK: Yes I did but sometimes. Otherwise you can't infuse emotions in your characters. It is important to understand your characters.

Zehell2218: Yes, I imagine myself as the lead. Of course, I tweak it a bit, such as in age and appearance. But mostly, the characteristics is similar to me.

Ikazainudin: FL and ML character based on what I want to be irl. Yup. I imagine that will be my love story.

End_of_Era: Yes, my leads had some ocassional self insertion.

The third question… If you were to choose some other genre aside from romance, what would you pick?

Anjeeriku: Fantasy. I always look up to those authors who can write fantasy stories/novels well. I believe writing a fantasy novel is harder than writing romance.

Hello Guys! I hope you enjoyed this chapter of WWCG. Personally, I've read a few CEO novels myself. I also read some FL stories like A Slight Smile Is Devastating (Love O2O), Hidden Marriage, Doomed to be Cannon Fodder, Transmigrator meets Reincarnator, A Mistaken Marriage Match: A Generation of Military Counselor, There Is an Angel in That Church (short story), Eight Treasures Trousseau, Grabbing Your Hand, Dragging you Away, A Mistaken Marriage Match: Record of Washed Grievances…

Ai~ there's a few more that I won't add to the list because it will create a wall of text. Well anyways, the reason why I read these stories is to get an idea on "WHY" the ladies love to read them.

Let's just say that it's a unique way to see a world in the eye of a lady (if you are a man of course). When done properly, the execution of the story can capture the hearts of anyone, even male readers. I believe that no matter what gender you are, as long as you find the story interesting then it doesn't matter whether you are a guy or a gal no?

Perhaps, when I'm not too busy to write my stories, I'll once again pick a romance novel to read. Hopefully, I will find another hidden gem that will bring unexpected surprises to anyone who are lucky enough to find them.

Strolling down the bustling streets of the commercial district, Shin and the other orphans continued to chat about their daily lives. After living apart for such an extended period of time, they have all accumulated a number of stories to share with each other. Shin mostly complained about Lady Seph and how demonic Junius had become when it came to morning training. The other orphans, such as Elyse and Emma, shared everything that had happened on Frie Mountain during his absence. Be it funny stories or sad, sombre ones, the young children babbled away, forgetting about the time. 

Eventually, the sky had begun to dim as grey clouds gathered. The city bell rung six times indicating the start of the evening. Droplets of water drizzled down from the overcast sky as the booming sound of thunder reverberated in the waypoint.

"Guys, I think we should return to the Mushinkei. It's starting to rain."

Lily suggested to the group. Being the most senior member of the orphans present, her words held the most weight. Unanimously nodding to her idea, Shin and the others stopped browsing the stores and turned back. However, it did not take long after something halted their steps.

"Junius!"

Ryner caught the sight of a viridian haired teenager donned in a pure black constable gear. With golden lions sewn neatly upon his chest, the youth seemed to resemble a valiant champion. His handsome features attracted the gazes of all the young maidens surrounding him and his charming smile brightened even the sternest faces. Currently, the youth was busy making his rounds at the town with one of his partners.

Noticing the group of teenagers, Junius eyes lit up in excitement. Bidding farewell to the young man standing next to him, the teen hastily brisk-walked towards Shin and the others.

"Guys! You're all here!"

Seeing his juniors for the first time in a year, made Junius heart leap with joy. He lamented the fact that he was on duty during the first day of their visit but Junius endured it. In fact, when he first reported to the Constable Headquarters earlier on, he lacked the motivation to efficiently executed his patrol duties. 

"Junius! How are you? What time would you be knocking off?"

The orphans bombarded the youth with an array of questions. Unable to cope with the variety of voices, Junius raised his hands in resignation, begging his fellow juniors to slow down their speech. Before he could answer their questions though, a fuzzy silhouette bolted past the centre of the orphans and struck the suave teen right in his chest.

"Lily..."

"Idiot… Why weren't you there to meet us?"

"Sorry, I had work to do..."

In the three years since Junius and Shin left the mountain, Junius and Lily's relationship had taken one step further and gone to a level beyond that of ordinary friends. As a handsome young successful Spirit Apostle, the number of girls who wanted to chase Junius wasn't few. The first time Lily visited the waypoint, she saw many young maidens making eyes at the boy that she mentally thought of as her own. Unable to shake the uneasiness she felt, Lily became more aggressive in her advances towards the young teen, fearing that a random bimbo would take him away.

Lily had sent a plethora of love letters that would make even the most accomplished romance authors blush and frequently called her best friend, Ariel, to make sure that no random broad tried to seduce Junius. Thankfully, her pursuit had paid off as Junius made their relationship official after a few months. 

Although the pair could only meet once every year, Lily seemed to like the separation as it made their story look like something out of a fairy tale. Of course, she hated that her sweetheart was so attractive that random lustful succubuses sought him out but Lily wholly trusted the viridian-haired youth. Furthermore, Lily herself was proud of her features that enthralled the popular constable. 

Now that she was sixteen, she had reached the prime of her puberty years. The pimples that were associated with early pubescence had all but diminished making her complexion as clear as a marble. Letting her hair grow out, the silky threads of pale blue goodness flowed down to her petite bottom, making her look much more motherly than before. Her growing bosom sparked the wild fantasies of men and could cause even celibate monks to act zen while taking a peek every now and then.

"Fine, I forgive you. When will you be finishing your work?"

"Soon… Give me another hour or so?"

"That long?"

"Yeah..."

It was not like Junius wanted to continue working. He would much rather spend time with Lily and the other orphans as their time together was limited. Sighing despondently, Junius stroked the fringe of his lover as he flashed a tender smile. He had dearly missed that face of hers over the past year and could not stop looking at it. However, that simple act of his caused Lily's milky white face to blush furiously as she avoided his eyes.

'That gaze of his is unfair...'

Burying her face deep in his chest, Lily thought of the many girls that had fallen for the boy she loved because of his smile. 

"Hahaha, Junius it looks like you're loved dearly huh! Why don't you just leave with the little missus there? I'll make some excuse to headquarters!"

"Senior! You would do that?!"

The constable that Junius had been patrolling with nearly barfed with all the sweetness that he was witnessing. Teasingly, he gestured to Junius that it was fine to leave his post.

"It's fine, it's fine… You're only needed for another hour anyway. Leaving a little early won't hurt."

"Thank you, senior!"

Giving his superior a deep bow, Junius grasped the waist of the pale-blue haired girl in his embrace and walked towards the orphans. Lily had always maintained the strict motherly appearance in front of her juniors, but when Junius was involved, she reverted back to a teenage girl, who was swooning over her crush.

"Let us return!"

With his girlfriend nestled to his side and his loved ones all surrounding him, Junius was over the moon. It was the sight that he had always envisioned, albeit in a watered-down state. The reason why he worked so hard in the first place was to ensure that the orphans could live with their heads held high, happily surrounded by each other's warm faces. Leading the group, Junius headed straight for the Mushinkei.

On the way home, the orphans had filled Junius in on everything that had occurred earlier that day. The viridian-haired youth was not surprised that Shin had advanced and was heading to Aldrich's Keep, but when he heard of the plan to send some youths of the Frie Clan to the fort, Junius had almost immediately volunteered himself to go. However, as he thought about it, there was no way the Lewis or the other senior constables would let him leave. 

While Junius was brooding on a plan to get him on the ticket to the Keep, the orphans had reached the Mushinkei. Promptly retreating to the insides of the building, the group had just managed to evade the imminent downpour by a hair's breadth as sheets of rain came splashing down from the heavens. 

"Phew, looks like we're lucky!"

Ariel exclaimed. Firmly holding on to her new necklace, she protected it from the small drizzles that they experienced while walking back. 

"Oh finally, you guys are home..."

At that moment, a lethargic voice sounded out at the entrance of the building. Ines, who was resting at the counter, called out the orphans.

"Senior Ines, what happened? Why do you look so drained?"

Junius worriedly asked the haggard middle-aged lady. It was rare to see this senior of theirs in such a state.

"Arghhh!!! Bad news, I guess… The Elder had gotten permission to send Ariel and a few other youths to Aldrich's Keep."

"What?! Isn't that good news?!"

Ariel's eyes nearly popped out in excitement. She was the one who wanted to follow Shin the most and hearing that her wish had been granted made her ecstatic.

"Yeah, but there's more. The Second Elder would be sending a cell alongside Ariel and Shin..."

"Ah… I see..."

Hearing those words, the mood in the room instantly dropped. Since the orphans were ostracised by the Second Elder's division, anyone from that side of Frie Mountain would go against them with extreme animosity. 

"Senior Ines, if the Second Elder was to send a cell, how many would we be sending?"

"Same like them. Four youths. With Shin and Ariel taking two slots, while the twins make up the other two."

"Huh?" "We're going to Aldrich's Keep?"

The twins twitched once their names were brought up. Usually, for missions in the Frie Clan, the upper management would recommend the youths to form a cell, typically a group of four members with skill sets that balanced each other out. With Ariel as the vanguard and Shin as the healer, they needed some medium and long-range Spirit Users to cover their weaknesses. Therefore, the First Elder suggested that the twins, who both wielded the Ice Bow Spirits and cultivated in the Crystal Toxotai Mantra, join their cell.

Perfectly complementing each other's strengths, their team would surely be able to grow much more rapidly during the upcoming purge. After all, that was their 'goal' for sending a training expedition.

"Yeah, so Ella and Emma. Both of you need to get ready. You're not returning to the mountain for a while. The Elder has arranged some of your personal belongings to be delivered here tomorrow. As much as I hated it, I had just returned from meeting with Lady Seph..."

"With Master?!"

Shin gasped in amazement. No wonder Ines seemed to have aged significantly since they last saw her. She must have suffered the wrath of the temperamental elderly woman. 

"I explained to her the entirety of the First Elder's plan… Goddamnit, now I know why they call her the healing demon… She's an absolute monstrosity! And what's with that bloody gerbil?! How could it be so strong?!"

"Bingbing?"

Shin tilted his head in confusion when he saw that Ines was directing his anger towards the harmless furry animal that frequently rested on his head.

"Arghhh!!! Whatever. Anyway, prepare yourselves. According to Lady Seph, she plans to leave the town three days from now… The Second Elder's team will also be arriving in the next few days."

Leaving the orphans with few additional precautionary words, Ines retreated back up to her room so that she could recover from the stress that she had incurred.

Over a million years ago, the first human contracted with the first Spirit. Ever since then, Spirit use has become commonplace. Humans used Spirits to carry items and start fires. Eventually, even start wars. Thousands upon thousands of years past and one day, one human did the impossible. He transcended his mortality and ascended to the realm above.

First, I would like to apologize for not being a new chapter, I know that many people like this romance.

Second, many people are accusing me of copying an anime called Grisaia No Rakuen.

I didn't copy the anime! I just took a scene that I really liked in the anime and adapted it for my Fanfic. Many authors
 of fanfic mainly of anime like Akikan, and others that I don't remember the name now, copy several scenes of animes and put in their romance, I don't see anyone putting a lot of negative Review in their novels.

I am not belittling the work of these authors, for me it does not matter, as long as something changes in the novel, I will accept it.

So how many chapters did Akikan use Conan and embody him from his anime? he practically copied and pasted it, he just introduced his character in the middle of everything.

I repeat again, I am not belittling Akikan, I am a big fan of him, I started making fanfics because of him. (If Akikan reads this, I apologize for using his name.)

Anyway, I see a lot of people copying and pasting anime content in their novels and just changing a few things, it happens mainly in DXD and Naruto Fanfic.

Do people complain and give negative reviews because of this? No, right?

Grisaia No Rakuen has a scene in which the anime MC has sex with a blonde who is a friend of his master, is this considered pedophilia? Yes! but someone complained !? no ... because you are used to such a character in Japanese works, everyone called (including me) the protagonist a badass.

So stop texting me about it, if you don't like it, just don't read it. I'm doing this business for free and trying to raise money with Pa treon to buy better equipment and make an original novel one day.

I apologize again to anyone who was waiting for a new chapter. Just stop sending me messages like. "This novel is rubbish! It's just a copy!" or "Is this pedophilia? What rubbish!"

Seriously, these people complain about copying in a Fanfic, the very essence of a Fanfic (Most of the time) is a copy.

THE REAL REASON FOR which people do not keep reading fanfics,is because either the story is rushed,or authors abandon their stories.Fanfic history of abandon the stories,makes us readers not even bothering following new works,because we are unsure if the said author will keep writing.

Having said all that.Who can make a fanfic where a man,reborns in marvel mcu,or comics,somwhere around 1990 and gets some gifts.Like sharingan/rinnegan(chakra knowledge) or sorcery affinity talent and knowledge,or Ji Ning universe way of cultivation.I saw something with ji ning universe in mcu but it was abandoned.
Also main heroine NATASHA ROMANOFF,her past present and future in movies/comincs is sad,she diserves a better story+my favourite avenger.

Parker clambered down with a typical teenager's awkward grace - he looked all gangly, but there was muscle starting to form and an agility most adults couldn't regain. "So do you really like her, or are you just trying to get in her pants? Because no matter what they say, Aunt Laney isn't like that."
Zach had to smother a smile at the kid's clear protectiveness. Damn if he didn't like him better for it. "I like her - a lot. And I know she's not...easy. Beyond that, I want to go out with her a few times, to see if liking grows into something bigger. You okay with that?"
Parker paused and stared down Zach before moving the ladder over a few more feet. "Yeah, I suppose I'm okay with that. She gets crap in this town because of how my mother was. Hell, I guess even Grandma was kinda - out there - back in her day. I know Mom and Aunt Laney had different dads, and Grandma wasn't married to either of them. But Laney's different. You're the first guy she's gone out with in a long time - like maybe a year."
That was at odds with what Zach had heard at the Roadhouse last night, but it sounded more like the Laney he'd thought he'd been getting to know. He held the ladder as Parker descended then helped the boy carry it into the little detached garage and hang it up. "Got a garbage bag for the shells?" He picked up the broom on his way out.
"Trashcan is in the kitchen, under the sink." Parker got back to work on one of the lower-level windows this time. "But you can compost eggshells, and that's supposed to be good for the garden. Just use a bucket. Compost bin is right behind the garage."
"Huh. Compost?" Not something he'd ever thought about. Maybe his grandmother Shannon had done that since she was a gardener. Come to think of it, hadn't she kept a bucket in the kitchen for scraps? Zach had just assumed her house didn't have a garbage disposal. Without saying anything else, he grabbed a plastic bucket and took it up to the porch along with the broom and dustpan. He'd noted last time he was here that one of the steps was loose. He'd fix that before he left.
"So why aren't you in school today?"
"School's over, dude. The last week was final exams in the mornings. Now, we're done." He didn't sound as if he was too disappointed, not that Zach could blame him. High school hadn't been his favorite thing in life, either - and he'd been a jock.
"So what will you do while your aunt is at work?" Zach swept up the shells on the porch, using his fingers to pick away at a few that had stuck to the wooden decking.
"When I was younger, Aunt Laney paid Mrs. Riley to keep an eye on me in the summers. Now, I usually still hang out there some days. Jake and I make a little money mowing lawns and weeding flowerbeds. Laney made sure I know my way around a garden." The kid kept working while he talked, until most of the egg was gone from the front of the house.
"I'll bet. She's really into her flowers and stuff, isn't she?" If he was a better man, he'd feel guilty about pumping the boy for information about his aunt. Good thing Zach wasn't a better man.
"Heck, yeah. Next to books, flowers are pretty much her favorite thing."
"Good to know." They worked quietly for a few more minutes then Zach finally asked, "Parker, do you have any idea who's setting the fires? It would help if I had somewhere to start looking for a suspect."
Parker shrugged, but his posture immediately tensed. "I have my ideas. Can't prove them though."
"I told you I'm off duty. This is just between us. Who do you think is behind all this crap - or are the eggs unrelated?" It seemed a little too coincidental in Zach's opinion.
"Doubt it, though I don't think it's exactly the same jerks. Notice there haven't been any fires while the baseball team's been out of town. They didn't get back until today, though, so they didn't do this. It happened overnight."
That had Zach stopping in his tracks. How had he not bothered to check and see if any group of students had been away while the fires had paused? He was going to need a list of everyone who'd been gone with the baseball team.
Parker kept talking. "The nasty notes, though, those just started while the jocks have been gone. I'm wondering if it was one of their girlfriends, or maybe Kendricks' little brother."
"Kendricks?" Finished collecting eggshells, Zach sat down on the step. He waved at a neighbor who walked out to pick up her mail. "Maybe we should take this conversation inside if we're going to start talking names."
"Sure. Anyway, Aunt Laney would have my hide if I didn't at least offer you something to drink after you helped out."
"I'll take more of that iced tea she keeps in the fridge." He followed Parker to the backyard where he emptied the eggshells into a tidy plastic compost bin, while Parker rinsed out the bucket of soapy water with the hose. Then they stacked their buckets in the garage before going through the back door into the kitchen.
"You got a piece of paper and a pen?" Zach accepted the glass of tea the boy handed over and helped himself to the sugar bowl on the table. "I want to write this down, so I don't forget it when I go in to work tomorrow."
"Yeah." Parker pulled open a drawer and handed over a notepad and a pen with roses and a romance author's name on it. "Sorry about the girly pen. Laney gets to meet a bunch of authors at library conferences, and they're always giving her stuff like that."
"I can handle flowers on a pen. I'm fairly secure in my masculinity." He looked at the boy who slid into the chair across from him. "Occurs to me you must be, too. Eyeliner, nail polish - you must take a lot of crap for that in a town like this."
Parker shrugged. "A little. I can handle that. Wranglers and mesh-back caps aren't my style. I like being set apart from all the rednecks and cowboys. I just don't want to end up in jail for something I didn't do. And I don't like anybody threatening Aunt Laney."
"Threatening?" Zach's spine straightened, and his vision narrowed. Adrenaline spiked his bloodstream, just like it always had before a mission. "I hadn't heard about any threats."
"Letters." The kid reached into a cupboard behind him and pulled out a rolled-up plastic grocery sack which he handed to Zach. "Aunt Laney tries to throw them out, but I rescued them from the trash. Thought we might need to show them to somebody. There's been one in our mailbox every morning since Friday. I brought today's in already."
When Zach unwrapped the bundle, he found six folded sheets of paper that had been taped closed - no envelopes, no address, nothing. These hadn't been sent through the regular mail. They were on standard computer paper, in a big font from a common printer. In pencil on one corner of the outside, someone - namely Parker - had written dates, ranging from Friday through today. There was even one for Sunday.
Get out of this town, bitch. Most of them were on that theme, calling Laney a variety of nasty names. Take the freak and leave, was one of just a few that mentioned Parker. The one labeled that day, Get out or else. Your kind aren't welcome here, was the only one that properly constituted a threat, but the overall tone was pretty ugly.
Zach rewrapped them in the bag and looked up at Parker. "Thanks for saving these, and for giving them to me. It was the right thing to do. I'll talk to Laney tonight and make sure she knows to bring any others straight to me."
The teen drew in a deep breath, like a load had been lifted from his shoulders. "Thanks."
Zach jotted off a receipt on the notepad, signed it and handed it to Parker. "There - this is proof you gave me the letters. You said you have an idea of who's behind this. I need names."
Parker grimaced. "Taylor Kendricks and Peyton Benedict. I can't prove anything, but those two hate my guts, big time."
"Whew. You don't mess around. I assume Peyton's dad is the mayor?" The Kendricks were another of the older, richer families in town, and Zach was pretty sure they were somehow related to the Benedicts and the Wildings, maybe the Maguires.
"Yeah." Parker leaned his elbows on the table and dropped his chin onto his fist.
Zach held out his hand. "We're going to get to the bottom of this, I promise. And I'm not going to let anyone hurt Laney."
Parker shook Zach's hand. "Thank you."
After draining his glass of tea, Zach stood. "Now, let's go fix that busted step, before your aunt gets home."

Your probably wondering what happened to this story, and honestly I don't know what to say.

For the past month or so, a lot has been happening for me. In RL especially, and the net. And while I love this story to bits, I really can't bring myself to write this anymore. I started this story out with a group of good friends of mine, and we all got along very well. There characters in this story too, we all had so much coming up with ideas and discussing things. But at some point something changed, and I realized it was becoming awkward.

I still consider everybody as a good friend, but with the circumstances the way they are writing this would be impossible for me. I hope I can one day go back to this. Perhaps when I finish Princess Lyn (Book1) maybe my feelings would have settled on this story, and I'd be able to write it without being too attached. The way things are now, I just can't write it.

1: I noticed that I made a lot of people angry in the last chapter, but I have to say something, guys authors do it all the time on this platform, they do it to enter the rank and so that their novel can be seen by a larger number of people, this tactic is not necessarily bad, you have to blame the Webnovel system that made such a flawed ranking.
Why can novels with less than 15k words receive powerstones? after all, they will not enter the rank because they are receiving? shouldn't power stones be blocked until the author is done 15k words? Saw? this system does not make sense.
Be honest, if you've been on this platform for at least 6 months, you know that I'm telling the truth.

2: I plan to post two 2500 word chapters each Sunday. Initially, I planned to post only a 5000-word chapter, but some authors who are friends of mine said that many people don't like to read something that has many words, because of that, I decided to split the chapter in half making 2500 words.
3: Currently, I am recovering from COVID-19, soon I will be able to return home and be with my family, Yes !!
4: That's it, I will publish 2 large chapters a week, depending on how things go, I will increase the number of words in the future, for now, I am doing this test.
