Kageyama Mira who doesn't believe in fictional thoughts like ghost suddenly met Katou Honouji, the person who died in a terminal illness.

Mira believed that according to some fictional books, a person becomes a ghost when they leave behind regret so she helped Honouji to move on his life so that he can pass away peacefully. 

However, Katou Honouji doesn't even know what regret he left behind.

Trisha came to look for me. When we reached the entrance of the campus Avika and Riya were already waiting. We had a joyous and stress-free day outside. As we had some delicious snacks and lovely desserts it felt bliss to us. Since we ate distasteful food for so long our tongues were robbed of the taste buds.
After trying out various outfits Riya and Avika selected a few. 

It was 5 in the evening when we came back. Sun has yet to set. After resting for a few minutes I turned to ask Avi about hitting the gym as we had lots of desserts today and didn't go in the morning. But as I approached her she was in a deep sleep. I tucked her in the light blanket and she snuggled to it with a content smile. 

Smiling I wore my activewear and sports shoes. As Avika wasn't with me I decided to run. Attaching my earphones I began to run. Music blasted in and my mood uplifted. There were many people in the garden. Players practising their games, girls chatting around, couples sitting quietly gazing the horizon or exchanging sweet promises while the sun was going to set. I decided to sit quietly in some place after running two laps.

After 15 minutes I completed my workout and sat in a good place to admire the sunset. Looking at the serenity of the scene I thought of a few words, not that good but apt for my mood and scene.

"Everyday when a day ends
It feels so relaxing to me
Every emotion blends
Sometimes merry sometimes gloomy
Sunset is beautiful
As it marks that the day is finally ending"

I sat there thinking nothing. Just staring at the sunset and breathing deeply. Sort of meditation. Sun sat at last. Sky still contained few hues before turning all dark. Breathing for the last few times, it was the time to get up. 

"Hey, are you okay?"

I jumped in surprise with a sudden sound. I noticed it was Avika. I thought that if it would be a movie it was the perfect time when Mr.President shows up. These coincidences often happen between the lead actors. Not that I was thinking we were the main leads.

"Yeah, just enjoying my quality time. You woke up sleepy head?" I said.

She sat beside me. 
"I was looking for you and assumed you would be working out as you are not a morning person, next possible place was the library." She said.

"You know there is a thing called a mobile phone, dummy." I laughed flashing my phone towards her.

"Tch, I know that. Just my phone ran out of battery after our outing and I slept soon after I came." She said making some faces.

"Come on let's go, it's getting darker." I stood up and pulled her up with me.

Next few days flew very fast. I continued to follow my schedule dutifully. In Psychology, we were taught so many things that fascinated me. The working of our mind is truly a miracle. Today was the day we had to present our papers at the Literary Club. After lunch, Trisha and I went together. Today I reached earlier.
I had seen Mr.President from afar a few times. He was present most of the time in the library as he said earlier. Idiot Sourav didn't disturb me any further as the librarian was always there. She talked happily with me each time I issued books. I had seen him playing basketball in mornings when I get a chance to work out. 

We had settled down and Trisha told me about Korean-dramas she had watched. I used to watch Korean-dramas and Chinese dramas. Here however I don't get time at all. We talked happily until everybody came in. As we were 14 members everybody read their papers. When Mr.President started I was happy that he liked the book. Every book has got it's the charm. It ended pretty well and everybody got a glimpse of other's capabilities. 

We got to know that the drama is set on the novel Pride and Prejudice. It was a beautiful romance novel by author Jane Austen. It was one of my favourite classic books. It was the story in which Elizabeth overcomes her prejudice and Mr.Darcy does his pride and then both surrenders themselves in love. I was very excited about it. Normally I heard colleges play Romeo and Juliet as a drama but this is really great. I do want to see the casts and hopefully, their actions would be top-notch. I want to see the characters brought to life. Many of us have read the novel here and was a squeal of delight when we heard about it.

As we discussed we were told to meet the Drama Club. Trisha and I walked towards the drama club as we wanted to meet Avika and Riya. While Avika was a dancer, Riya was a singer. They both aren't going to participate in the drama but will be there during the meeting just to see the preparations. 
When we reached we started talking and joking with each other. 

"Manya?" I heard someone call. I turned and saw Mr.President calling me over while he was talking to two people there.

"See she is the one I told you about." Is he serious? No, I don't want to act at all. Maybe I would like to do some work but no acting. I admit I had done some acting in my high school days but this was too much.

"Please excuse us for a moment," I said to them and dragged him away. 

"Did I tell you to recommend to me?" I said.

"No, but on Saturday I asked, you didn't deny either." He said with an expression that seemed annoying to me.

"Please tell them I'm not going to participate in the drama." 

"Why?"

"Because it's MY decision," I growled 

"Okay, don't get mad. I didn't say anything I just told them how nicely you have written your assignment paper. I told them that you could assist me in screenwriting. If you want to act that's another story." He said, totally cool. So that's what he was talking about. Screenwriting is the thing I would enjoy but still,

"But still, you should have told me before you were planning to do so," I said

"I'm sorry," he said so sincerely that I felt guilty.

"I want to apologize too as I was too rash," I said biting my lips.

"So are we cool?" He asked softly.

"Yeah. Well, is the post of screenwriter's assistant is still open?" 

"No, someone took it." He said

"Who?" I asked

"Some girl named Manya Verma." We laughed. 

"Do you agree?" He asked.

I contemplated for a moment. Screenwriting would be good, it's my favourite novel and I don't have to do most of the work what more a lazy soul like me desires?
"Yup, I agree," I said

We walked back together and he told them about him being the screenwriter and me being the assistant.
I wanted Avika to try out the auditions but she is in dance which requires a lot of time and energy. As this fest programme's responsibility was Drama Club's they are already divided into several groups and at last very fewer people were left in performing actual drama part. 

As the fest was approaching at the end of mid- August we had time in our hands. Even though the script has to be ready early. Mr.President and I decided to work in the library the next few days as we shortened the entire drama into 30 minutes. 

Today since he called me over I hadn't gotten a chance to talk to my friends. I followed him everywhere. A few minutes later everybody started departing. I got a message from Riya saying they are returning to their practice and Trisha is accompanying them. I sighed and maybe the person beside me mistook it for boredom or tiredness because he flashed me an apologetic smile. He then quickly wrapped up the conversation and led me to the cafeteria.

He told me to order whatever I like, but this was college cafeteria and not a very good place to order 'whatever I like'. Anyway, I didn't want to eat my regular sandwich so I ordered some french fries after asking him if he would help me finish it and a cup of coffee. He too ordered a coffee.

We sat in the same place as the other day.
While sitting he said.

"Next time it wouldn't be this cafeteria." I laughed at this.

"I don't know in which year you are studying," I said thinking carefully.

"You really didn't pay attention to the first day, did you?" He asked.

I was really embarrassed.
"Yeah, I didn't. After the library incident, I felt dejected for a long time and I bear grudges so I didn't pay attention." I said truthfully.

"Bearing grudges, I'll remember that." He chuckled.

"Will you tell me or not," I asked

"Let's do this again. Our introductions." He said and then continued.
"Hello, my name is Vihaan Kashyap and I'm a third-year student here. Hobbies are playing basketball, reading books and listening to music."

"I'm Manya Verma, nice to meet you. I'm a first-year student here. Hobbies are reading, dancing, painting, listening to music and watching movies and dramas." I said mimicking him.

"You paint and dance too?" He asked surprised. This surprise didn't offend me, rather I wanted to tell him more. 

"Yeah. I love cooking. Baking at that." I said.

"You cook too? Would this lowly creature someday would have the fortune to taste your cooking?" He said

"Yes, you could as you aren't any lowly creature but my esteemed senior. But I don't know how and when." I said.

I know he is just joking but my silly heart sped when he said he would like to taste my cooking. Our order had arrived he went to the counter to bring things over.

"Have you read Pride and Prejudice?" He asked.

"Yes," I nodded enthusiastically. Now things will get interesting as I'll get to write (or help in writing, whatever) dialogues of Elizabeth and Mr.Darcy.

A girl with a past she couldn't let go. Once cheerful and chirpy, she began to question her values, intention and even existence.

"God? Have you kept me here just to feel immense guilt each moment I breathe?" She asked, voice breaking and trembling in between her sobs as she tried to compose herself.

After suffering she regained her will to live but still didn't overcome completely. Will the arrival of her soulmate relieve her or will she lose this opportunity too?

The waitress was stunned for a moment. Why were all the good-looking and loving men taken? 
"Who are you calling your girlfriend?" Wen Shan looked at Nalan Chunbo and asked angrily after the waitress left. 
"You. Haven't you been courting me? I can now declare that you have succeeded," said Nalan Chunbo patiently. 
Back when they ate out together, many people thought they were a couple and she would always be the first to clarify that she was still courting him so that he didn't get uncomfortable. So technically, his statement wasn't wrong. 
Wen Shan was speechless at Nalan Chunbo's shamelessness. 
"Who said I am still courting you? I gave up on you a long time ago," Wen Shan roared, blushing from annoyance or embarrassment, she didn't know. 
Wen Shan's harsh words hurt Nalan Chunbo, but he just looked at her blankly and said, "It's my turn to court you this time then." 
"What do you mean, Nalan Chunbo?" Wen Shan demanded and slammed her chopsticks on the table, making the waitress who was serving their dishes jump in alarm. 
Nalan Chunbo stared at her emotionlessly while the waitress put the dishes on the table. The waitress even had to set up a mini table rack for the excessive dishes they ordered. 
The waitress quickly left after serving their dishes. 
"It's just as I said, Wen Shan, I am courting you now," Nalan Chunbo said as he straightened and started dropping the pieces of meat into the boiling soup. 
Wen Shan was completely stunned.
"But I don't like you anymore," said Wen Shan through clenched teeth. 
"So this is how it feels. I understand now." Nalan Chunbo nodded slightly and put the cooked meat on the plate in front of her. 
He used to say the same thing to Wen Shan back then. 
So this is what it felt like when someone said it to you. 
"Dig in while it's hot. Don't eat spicy food so often though, it is bad for your throat," said Nalan Chunbo casually. 
Wen Shan took a deep breath. She felt like throwing the pot at the man's face, but at the same time, she felt her heart flutter. Was this man doing this on purpose? 
"I actually looked for you to tell you something. Did you hear about the movie that Gu Juexi will be directing?" Nalan Chunbo asked while adding vegetables and meats that would take longer to cook into the soup. 
Wen Shan nodded, she had heard about it. In fact, Gu Juexi had only directed blockbuster physics movies, and she had watched every single one of them. 
"I was telling Gu Juexi to let you participate in the production as a screenwriting assistant," said Nalan Chunbo as he helped Wen Shan with the dishes. He, on the other hand, had not eaten anything yet. 
"Me? A screenwriting assistant?" asked Wen Shan in disbelief. 
Being the screenwriting assistant for the production of Gu Juexi's movie would be an achievement recognised by physicians across the world, and it was definitely a much better opportunity than being a teaching assistant.
Moreover… 
Wait… 
Why did she feel like something was wrong?
If had just told her that she didn't have to follow Professor Yin's instructions anymore, and Nalan Chunbo actually got her a new job at the same time? Were they just coincidences? 
"How do you know that I don't have to assist Professor Yin anymore?" asked Wen Shan. Her lips were red from the spicy hot pot, and she was looking at Nalan Chunbo sharply. 
Nalan Chunbo's hand froze when he heard Wen Shan's question and his brain raced to think of an answer. 


He was the powerful and influencing heir of B City, the merciless head of the commercial world, but the divorce papers made him lose his cool. 
“Sign the divorce papers, daddy,” said the 5-year-old boy. 
This man had the divorce papers thrown in his face by his wife six years ago, and was now being pushed by his own son to sign the papers. 
“That would make you a single-parent child,” said Gu Juexi coldly. 
“Mommy said unicorns don’t exist but men like you do,” the boy leered at his father and said. 
Gu Juexi’s face fell. ‘That damned woman.’
“You haven’t signed the papers,” the boy reminded as the man left. As usual, the door shut in his face. 
Good lord… Dad and mom are not getting a divorce and are giving him a baby brother? How worrying!

When the time displayed a sharp 07:10 PM, the doorbell rang.
"Quick!" Giselle loudly whispered.
Ethan and Lia moved in rhythm to answer the call. Lia opened the door to her impatience and met with a large group of people waiting outside.
Andy, in her usual cheerful self, jumped in to hug Lia in jolly surprise while Stephanie waited next to her mother. She appears to have a flushed face upfront and hid behind her mother's shadow.
"Please come in," Giselle greeted and invited them inside their dwelling.
The party regrouped at the living space to make a short introduction.
Giselle introduced Lia's father to everyone, and Ethan addressed all in his raw British sound. His greeting received a warm welcome from its audience.
The ladies fancied over his accent, and the men overwhelmed.
Followed by the host's introduction, it is now the time for the guests to make their debut.
Andy's parents made their first move, and it wasn't surprising as the family as a whole are full of enthusiasm. They racked with the passion of being friendly and are often called the crazy bunch of extroverts.
"I'm Ray Fishel, Andy's father, and this is my wife, Melissa Fishel. Conan here is our youngest boy, and his elder sister, Andy, whom you already know. You two, say your greetings!"
The Fishels arrived in style with their color-coordinated matching outfits. Ray, Andy's father, works as the agent for a real estate agency. His knowledge about places often received praise at his work, and his cheerful nature let him capture the hearts of his clients. He is a passionate man who wishes to draw out the emotions of people and to present them with their home. His success in his field of work aided him to grow substantially, and his face is well-known in the community. He helped many lovely families to find their place to make memories.
Melissa Fishel, Andy's mother, is a television scriptwriter, who writes and co-writes for many TV shows. Most of her work lies with the daytime drama series. She has her diploma from the film school and undertook a different position behind the camera until she found her love for screenwriting. Ever since then, her job is her best friend and her comfort. Melissa, also at times, gets tickets to live screenings due to her work nature.
The love story of Ray meeting Melissa is always the classic as it sounds. Melissa, who was hunting for a place to live, was the first client for Ray to get his job offer reserved. His endurance to make Melissa agree with his selection ended up impressing the entertainment loving freak.
Andy, their first child, was their precious member added to the pair to form a family. Andy received both her parent's great traits, thus making her ever pleasant girl to befriend easily. Two years following Andy's birth came little Conan, Andy's little baby brother. His inclusion circled the family to form a beautiful home, and they lived happily ever since.
According to Ray, it is not the 'no-fights' that makes a family, happily ever after. Despite the fights, tantrums, and misunderstandings, the love and respect that form the foundation, and often be the source for them to get back together, make a family live happy forever.
This persona of Ray's what captured Melissa's heart, and she surrendered it to him since then.
Giselle and Ethan welcomed the Fishel family with a gentle hug while Lia went straight to play with Andy's baby brother. The two girls instinctively began pouring motherly affections to the little boy in his superman tee and black trouser.
"Oh please, the Fishel's always make the best first impression!" Connor commented on the sides.
Giselle smiled as Ray passed the baton to him.
"Finally!" he remarked.
Connor Clifford, Stephanie Clifford's father, introduced himself with a dashing smile. The pediatrician then introduced his wife and a food blog writer, Isobel Clifford.
Isobel runs her website where she tries out the recipes as well as create her own. She works hard on her food blog to make her dream come true, which is to release her cookbook. Isobel's interest in cooking involves often inviting her friends to taste test and put together food tasting experiences exclusively for her group.
Connor and Isobel met through mutual friends. They dated before eventually falling in love with each other. Not only did Connor fell for Isobel, but also her cooking skills. Stephanie is their first child, who retains her mother's calmness with a trace of her father's mischief.
"It's a pleasure to meet you two," Giselle greeted.
"What happened? Why is Stephanie feeling shy today?" Ethan pointed out.
Isobel smiled to pet her daughter's head while Connor informed the reason for her sudden silence.
Connor and Isobel are expecting a child. Stephanie's mother is only a week pregnant with their second child, and the news got published to their beloved daughter the previous night. Learning that soon she would have a baby brother or sister is making the young girl blush, and she stuck to her mother to give company to the growing seed in her tummy.
Despite all, Stephanie wishes for a girl baby as Andy has a brother already.
Ethan cheered for the soon-to-be-big-sister Stephanie, and it made the young girl get redder that she hid behind her mother's dress, covering her face with the garment.
Lia and Andy sparkled after learning the news, and they ran to Isobel to ask all kinds of silly questions to her about the baby in her belly. Isobel answered to her best knowledge.
The only one who is yet to arrive is Jessica and her family. While the rest of the party waits for them, Giselle left the scene to bring out drinks and water for Isobel. They chatted with each other without wavering, quickly bonding over.

Bang! Pain and dizziness!

Numerous questions swirled in his brain, familiar and strange faces swept past one by one in his mind and inexplicable memories constantly tumbled through his head but he couldn't quite catch them; they were like glimmers of light.

Jiang Cheng suddenly opened his eyes but was hit with the feeling of vertigo and he instinctively closed his eyes and settled in, letting the dizzy spell gradually pass before he opened his eyes again.

Where am I?

With this thought, one by one, the scattered memories in his head joined together like puzzle pieces. He suddenly remembered everything, well perhaps remembered wasn't the best word, as the memories already existed in his head.

He sat up subconsciously, his mind still a mess as he walked to the bathroom.

From Jiang Cheng to Jiang Cheng. 

The boy standing in the bathroom looking back at him in the mirror, looked both strange and familiar to him at the same time. 

His memories and logic told him that he should be dead but he wasn't.

Instead it felt like he had just dreamt and woken up as the boy in the mirror. Two very different memories intertwined in his mind confusing him.

Who was he?

The cold water made Jiang Cheng's mind a lot clearer. The pointer of the bedside alarm clock clearly told him that it was 2001 and he was in Shanghai, China.

Was he dreaming or had he really returned back to the past in a new body. Common sense told him that the latter was impossible but...

"No! I am Jiang Cheng, my past life was real."

"I don't know how I was reincarnated but I am Jiang Cheng!"

Jiang Cheng chanted as he walked back and forth across the room.
 
In his past life, he had lived a life of regret. He didn't expect God to make such a joke out of him but now he was reborn maybe this was his recompense, another chance.

A chance to live the life he wanted, a chance to reach heights he couldn't in his past life. 

The owner of the body occupied by Jiang Cheng was also called Jiang Cheng. After fusing their memories, Jiang Cheng finally understood his situation. 

Jiang Cheng was born into a wealthy Chinese family. His father, Jiang Dejun, was the editor-in-chief of a publishing house. His mother, Gao Linlan was a reporter from Taiwan. His mother had come to the mainland to travel when she met his father and charmed by his talent and charisma, the two soon fell in love and married despite obstructions from his family. 

Even Jiang Cheng was remarkable. He had been a good student with both academic and social merits since childhood. He obtained top grades and had just graduated high school.

Probably because every child dreamt of becoming a star, Jiang Cheng, who had always been a good kid, went against the expectations of his school, teachers and relatives and made his own decision to apply for Shanghai Drama Academy and with his grades and charisma he was soon accepted into the Acting department. Fortunately, Jiang Cheng's parents were very open-minded, and allowed him to do as he wished.

Shanghai Drama Academy, was one of the best art schools in China, it had trained a large number of film and television talents for the domestic entertainment industry. Entering such a university meant that he would inevitably come into contact with many future big figures in the domestic entertainment industry.

Such a lucky occurrence helped reduce the confused look in Jiang Cheng's eyes, his attachment to his previous life gradually faded. 

With a kind of unprecedented firmness. He said to himself in the bathroom mirror: "From today onwards, I am Jiang Cheng!"

It was currently late June and with high school over Jiang Cheng had a long summer holiday ahead of him. 

Jiang Cheng's parents didn't seem to spot any anomalies in their son's behavior. Perhaps because of the fusion of memories, Jiang Cheng didn't display any strangeness before his parents. 

Instead, he just received the usual motherly nagging. Seeing such a caring side from someone was such a harsh contrast to the indifferent affection of his previous life.

After waving goodbye to his parents at the airport, Jiang Cheng headed back into his study. His idea was simple. He could recite the scripts for nearly every major film or TV series in China and the United States for years to come, so all he had to do was write those scripts before their original authors and absorb the wealth for himself in order to grow his empire.

He first set his target on the Taiwan idol drama "Autumn's Concerto." The reason for choosing the teen idol drama was because he had to consider his current age. After all, he was now just a 17-year-old who just graduated from high school. If he wrote something with profound meaning it would just attract doubt and suspicion.

Moreover, Autumn's Concerto was the second-highest rated Taiwanese idol drama, second only to Fated to Love You.

What was even more commendable was that the TV series, though it followed the traditional route of past idol dramas where men and women were constantly in a loop of love and heartbreak, it felt realistic and plausible not just another plot contrivance to create drama.  
 
From the beginning introduction of Liang Mu Cheng's tragic life, the story was carefully constructed.

From the perspective of a simple, kind and strong girl, the show delivered a touching story.

Perhaps it was because the director was also a woman but she was able to delicately grasp the perfect lens for the show and put each perspective into full play. The screenwriting was also excellent, the plot intriguing, the details were also subtle enough and though the overall concept was cliché, the show turned out to be heart-wrenching and touching at the same time.

Whenever the familiar sad melody sounded: "I love him zealously and madly My dreams have been cruelly shattered yet I cannot forget..." It moved the audience's hearts like a drizzle of rain.

It was the perfect series for a debuting screenwriter to make a name for himself.

Because the Jiang family was rich, despite computers still being considered expensive, they owned one at home and because of his parents job it was equipped with a printer. Such conditions made Jiang Cheng cry out in joy.

Switching on the computer skillfully and seeing the long-lost Windows XP system, Jiang Cheng smiled.

Opening up Microsoft Word 2001, his smile became even wider though the current program was kind of lacking, it was sufficient. 

Jiang Cheng's ten fingers quickly danced across the keyboard. As an excellent screenwriter in his previous life, speed typing was a vital skill. His record in his previous life was 110 words per minute, which could be regarded as first-class. 

It took five days for Jiang Cheng to complete the creation of "Autumn's Concerto", and then he sent the script for the first eight episodes of the TV series to Shanghai Tangren Film & Television.

Just like in America there was a bad phenomenon in the Chinese entertainment industry, where most film and television resources were monopolized by several large firms. Everyone had to do things according to their rules, otherwise they would be blocked and crushed. 

But in such a situation, Shanghai Tangren Film & Television could still develop rapidly and stably, a lot of which boiled down to its president, Cai Yinong, who was a very smart man.

Shanghai Tangren didn't take the path of independent production but instead it played a huge role in outsourcing and providing freelance jobs.

    Even the first-line superstars will consider lower pay or friendship prices, which is why many actors will pick up non-commercial films.

    This is a movie with a low production cost and not much props to go to purchase. Alex carefully studied the film countless times.


    The incident of Iraq war, the terrorists, the high unemployment rate in the United States, the mother-in-law who didn't like the son-in-law, the wife who loved her husband, and so on, which was only used in the limited time and space of the 90-minute film, it's message and satirized the social reality. Alex does admire the ability of writers and directors in the film.


    Although there's no original script, Alex believes that he can write a new script with his own understanding and gradual improve some details.


    Alex's also knows that the highest requirement of the whole film is the use of the lens. Fortunately, Alex has carefully studied this particular film and he believes that he'll be able to do it perfectly.


    The most important props are coffin, lighters and mobile phones. Alex directly thought of the way to make more money, that is product placement.


    In this way, he can even complete the film without spending much money, and perhaps get a fee for himself.


    There are few actors and few props. It's also a good evaluation through word-of-mouth and may also get more sponsors next film. Therefore, the box office of this film is not as good as the lower-cost "Paranormal Activity "9, but for Alex, it's the best choice in his current conditions.
