The manager had An Yibei's eyes tested, then moved on to make new lenses for him.
Ai Bao stood gingerly by his side, too nervous to keep her hands still.
An Yibei darted a glance at her. "Where's your boyfriend?"
"Huh?" Ai Bao looked confused. "What boyfriend?"
"The one that gave you that bracelet."
Ai Bao didn't even know where to begin to describe that relationship that was dripping with tears of regrets!
That guy was a scumbag through and through!
"It's a long story…" Ai Bao sighed heavily, then looked at An Yibei expectantly, waiting for his "then make it short." In that case, she could finish the story in a few words to avoid the possible awkwardness.
However, An Yibei eyed her, then asked a strange question. "Did you have enough to eat at the wedding?"
Why won't he play by the book?! Ai Bao thought in frustration.
"I did."
Her stomach grumbled immediately after that.
Ai Bao was embarrassed. "Well… I guess I'm a little hungry after all."
She had only taken a few bites before that fat woman made that scene. Of all the delicious food there, Ai Bao had only tried a few dishes.
That was such a waste of the cash gift she had given!
The manager brought out the glasses at that moment with a smile. "Sir, please try them on."
An Yibei put them on. Well, it would do for the moment.
Adjusting the glasses out of habit, he then strode out, announcing casually, "Let's go."
"Where are we going?" Ai Bao followed him like a little attendant.
An Yibei said, "We're having dinner."
"…" Ai Bao was baffled. Was Mr. An… buying her dinner now?

The steaming hot dishes were soon served, creating an atmosphere that very much resembled a home-cooked meal.
The dishes were excellent in color, aroma, and taste, which whetted Ai Bao's appetite. She picked up her chopsticks and began to wolf down the food right away.
An Yibei watched her for a moment, then summoned the waiter and ordered two more dishes.
"Make yourself at home."
"Thank you, Mr. An!" Ai Bao ate even faster. The food was scrumptious!
An Yibei poured her a glass of water and asked in a somewhat sympathetic tone, "Have I been treating you too harshly?"
"What?" Ai Bao was dumbfounded. "No, Mr. An. You're great!"
Thousand Island was known for its excellent wages and benefits, and they didn't even have to work overtime a lot. Many people deeply envied the employees there!
An Yibei let out a sigh of relief. "Good."
He almost thought that he was paying them too little and the employees couldn't even feed themselves now.
When she was done eating, Ai Bao finally remembered why they were here. She drank some water, then moved on to her story with a melodious voice and deep feelings. "Mr. An, you know what? All men are shit! They're all scumbags! They are!"

An Yibei thought that he must have lost his mind, for he was actually relaxed enough to gossip.
However, it felt pretty nice… 
Sipping his tea, he listened attentively as Ai Bao vented her grievances.
Ai Bao's ex-boyfriend was a nobody in the online voice acting circle, while Ai Bao was a famous planner in that circle.
It all started when the nobody sang 100 love songs for the famous planner.

As they were talking, both of them looked over at Young-hoon who was pouting.

"Shut up! Don't talk rubbish, call the chicken house."

"Ha…"

Young-hoon quietly took out the smartphone with a sigh. 

Semi, who tossed over her coat at the corner of the room, sat on the couch with her eyes on the screen. 

After a while, Minsu said the words that they all had been waiting for.

"It is starting!"

Everyone's eyes went in the direction of the TV; the huge title appeared on the enormous screen.

Kailan, the only game ever to have such a huge topic compared to any other game on earth.

The games that existed currently as well as any other games that were popular in the past, Kailan had an overwhelming presence compared to those games. 

1st for having the most concurrent users. 

1st for having the most cumulative number of visitors. 

1st in annual sales.

1st in virtual reality assimilation.

Etc. 

Even though Kailan was a famous and world-renowned game, it wasn't easy for the developers who contributed to the game to be famous. 

Users were usually interested in the game and not in the people who have made the game possible. 

The developers, who developed the game, were sweating and were invisible to the users. 

But just like everywhere, there were exceptions. 

One of those exceptions was the guy in the game station of the newsroom in YTBC. 


- Hello, this is Kim Incheon, nice to meet you. 

- Wow, you really are Kim Incheon? 

- Hahat, what is that supposed to mean? 

- I'm so amazed. I have been a huge fan of Kim Incheon since my student years. 

- Hut hut, I am a fan too, Miss Lucia. I'm not sure how to respond if Kailan's goddess is my fan.

In addition, for Jinsung who lived in the game, Kim Incheon was a name he heard numerous times.

At the mumbling of Jinsung, who was next to Harin, she asked, "You know him?"

- In that sense, Kailan's maturity is amazing. In fact, we have planned and implemented the world as it is, but from now on, the human resource is a matter of fact for further growth. 

- I agree with what Lucia had said. But Mr. Planner, I still have a question.

- What is it?

- In my understanding, the current world of Kailan is huge enough. Wouldn't it be great if all the worlds' users were connected to the present-day Kailan without expanding the world further?

The map of Kailan was huge. 

The terrestrial system that users used so far. 

Among them, the human system alone could be compared to a small continent in reality. 

The question of Hines was something that anyone would have thought of.

A large number of people played Kailan all around the world, but in reality, they wouldn't even exceed 10 percent of the world's total population. 

If the Human Dimension and the Devildom were to be combined, it would be more than 10% of the world's landmass, so fitting millions of users in it wouldn't be a problem. 

Kim Incheon smiled and shook his head. 


- Of course, that isn't an impossible task, Mr.Hines. However, if we do that, Kailan would be a lot less fun.

- One of the biggest reasons why Kailan is fun is because the 'users' are very special and unique.

Silence filled the newsroom for a while as well as Jinsung and Harin's living room.

Inside a clean meeting room on the 25th floor, the table is filled with people. Only one chair is empty which is for the company founder. In the side seat there are CFO, CEO, CIO, COO, president, vice-president, directors and sub-directors. Noise can be hear from outside.
"Did something happen recently?" CFO quietly gesture to his assistant. He have just came from abroad. "There is a rare case of emergency meeting. What happen recently?"
"Manager Huo and the financial manager are kick from the company because of fraud." assistant Su said.
"Yeah. Yeah. Good that his is kicked. I don't even like him."
Looking at his boss smiling face assistant Su looked helpless. The meeting door open and a girl wearing aqua dress comes forward and occupy the empty seat.
"First of all if anyone ever try to betray their condition would be same like that of Manager Huo and the financial manager. If you treat me nicely, I will treat you nicely. But if you betray me, I will make sure that they will experience the hell." Huifang warned everyone. "This meeting is about our new financial manager. Please welcome her."
The girl of 167 cm enter inside the room. From her tan skin everyone assume that she is a foreign girl.

It's already 730 when the meeting finishes. Earlier Huifang order a casual dress from online store. She changed her dress into jeans, a loose t-shirt, sneaker and a short leather jacket. Taking the car keys she head towards the hotel where her sister and brother-in-law are waiting.

Zhuang Nainai's eyes were blood-red. A fire burned fiercely within her, and her body shook with anger.

He then turned to Zhuang Nainai and admonished. "Zhuang Nainai, stop it!" 
Zhuang Nainai froze in her struggles.
Her face was flushed and a layer of tears formed in her eyes.
The side of her face where she was hit swelled red and her ponytail was also loosened from the impact. She somehow managed to look very beautiful with the fierce look in her eyes and the few strands of loose hair flying about her face. 
Shi Haoyu stared at her dumbstruck.
Xue Rong caught his admiring look and was enraged. She shouted at him, "Shi Haoyu, how long are you going to hold her arm for? Do you like her that much?" 
Shi Haoyu snapped out of his trance and dropped Zhuang Nainai's arm immediately.
Xue Rong stared at Manager Wang with wide eyes. "So this is your planner? Who publicly seduces the male customer and becomes physically aggressive towards the female customer? What an eye-opener!"
What a distortion of facts!
Zhuang Nainai was about to object when Manager Wang smiled at Xue Rong appeasingly, ignoring the obvious swell on Zhuang Nainai's face. "Ms. Xue, it's all Zhuang Nainai's fault, how about I get her to apologize to you? Please cool down."
Apologize?
Zhuang Nainai widened her eyes in shock at Manager Wang.
She had long known that Manager Wang was a bootlicker, but she did not expect him to be so unreasonable.
That was exactly what Xue Rong was waiting for. She sat down and crossed her leg in contentment. "I'm a reasonable person. Since we were classmates, Zhuang Nainai, and I know how important this job is to you, just bow to me and apologize. I will forgive you and let it go this time around. How's that?"
Zhuang Nainai's eyes narrowed.
Bow to her and apologize? Forgive her?
If she had not returned to the Gu family nor married Si Zhengting, she might have done it.

He chose to walk instead of catching the bus. He made it just at the final bell. He couldn't help but look on In amazement at the marvel that was Midtown high. He had wondered on his stroll on the exact universe he arrived in; there were many known and many unmentioned verses. Now, as he starred at the state of the art school before him all ideas were thrown out. It could be possible this universe he arrived in was totally new. He would need to prepare for that eventuality.

From what he understood Stark Enterprises had a major hand in its creation along with the currently not so fantastic four, who were probably already experimenting with cosmic rays that will turn them into human mutates.  This also wasn't the only school improved upon. Tony stark has also personally donated a large sum of money to the school fund; since then more qualified teachers applied for jobs and the school was quickly becoming merit-based, quite soon one wouldn't be able to recognize the once substandard school

Cole was browsing his planner; it held all of his classes,  before his open locker. His neighbor, a teen of small stature and even less presence was starred at him. Briefly, his eyes roamed from the planner, the two teens' eyes met mere seconds.

His neighbor gripped the locker so tightly it began to creak, he took a small step back before he realized what had happened. His senses in the brief moment began to spasm, all kinds of thoughts came to his mind.

Cole's eyes glanced at the dented locker, then back to the teen before ignoring him once again. 'Interesting,' he thought internally. He vaguely felt that he knew this teen, not personally, but his character.

The hallways of Midtown high was loud and raucous nature of teenagers were on full display.
He smiled tightly. Jermey York was a pariah. Which was partly his previous self-personality, and his failure to attend school? 

He observed a number of people regarding him, curiosity playing across there facial features. From Jeremy's memory, he knew he wasn't highly thought of. He wasn't a saint by a long shot. Just how bad it was, he actually didn't know. He had most of Jeremy memories, he knows faces and close acquaintances. He had just enough so he wouldn't seem like a pod person.

"Peter Parker!" Said a feminine voice. The voice was Familiar and his body acted on it own as he whirled around quickly. His placid face morphed into one of longing, his heart thrummed in his chest, like a racing thoroughbred it ran wild.

Quickly moving through the parting crowd was the woman of Jeremy York's dreams. Her face was Symmetrical; framing her nearly perfect face was splendid blonde locks of well manicured hair, she had statuesque figure that radiated beauty.

She had stopped before him, her eyes locked on his neighbor. Soon realization passed on his face, he regarded the boy closely, he was looked nothing like the comics nor the movies. "What happened to you last night? We suppose to studied together!" Her face a mask of  bemusement.

"Huh?" Parker asked absentmindedly.

"Huh." Gwen parroted, her voice rising in octaves.  Quickly, the two drew  the attention of others, and the ire many of her adoring admirers. Her eyes slanted in away only a woman could accomplish. Her body seemly vibrated as she bounced on the balls of her feet.

She unleashed womanly fury upon Peter Parker. She practically shook the mouse like boy. After-while, she  relented. She brought her the object of her worries out and decided to use it on him instead; now equipped with her science book, her displeasure of him was renewed.

Parker shown some finesse and used some quick social engineering techniques. He had piece a all-to believable story together, even he would have believed him after his tale was done. Cole eyes rose along with many others, he felt the a small tinge of jealously knotting in his heart.

Wholly ignored, he listened closely. He ended up having to rub  the back of his neck assuaging himself. Gwen eyes cut over to him, appraising him as only a woman can accomplish. His hands became clammy and he looked away.

"You look familiar," she mumbled. "Parker introduce me to your friend!" Her words one of demand. Peter fumbled with his words but finally remembered me, he omitted a glaring fact, we weren't friends, not even close. Gwen nodded before a lightbulb went off in her head. She must have had some vague memory of me. She noted that I seemed taller, and more streamline.

It has been months since Jeremy attended school. He would have tons of work to complete. Cole watched her walk off and sighed. In the end he remained quiet, foregoing making himself seem foolish. 

Suddenly, he became nauseous, he spied around for the nearest restroom. He splashed water across his face, corralling his teenage desires and impotence. In the mirror, starring back at him was Jermey York. He wasn't ugly but neither would he be considered handsome either. He had long dark frizzy dreadlocks. His skin was of a honeyed chestnut color, he had grey steely eyes, he was of a biracial ethnicity.

The door opened widely. A blonde ruggedly handsome youth entered, followed by a gang of similarly dressed teen, each  wearing a letterman sports jacket. The Midtown high varsity Football team.

The leading teen was unmistakably 'Flash Gordon.' He gave me a passing glance, that held traces of warning. Each one occupied a stall, soon the smell of pot waffled from the occupied stalls. Regarding this development intently drew the ire of the one remaining. He said some choice words, before motioning for me to exit. I smiled thinly, but ended up departing.

Masks weren't always of the physical variety.

First period happened to be was study hall, the residing teacher grilled me on my absence, but soon turned to concern as I played up my status, orphan, group home, easily plays at one heartstrings. She soon vanished after holding her hand out for my planner. Twenty-minutes later she returned with stacks of missing work. She smiled and told me I had a opportunity, don't waste it. I made promises. I just hoped I could keep them.

Second period was uneventful. I had my work already. She did mentioned it was to be completed during free time or after school. I paid attention to the lecture and even took some notes. 

Third was P.E the coach pretty much needed a updated physical on me, afterwards he told me to either exercise or join in the basketball game being played, I chose option one. Midtown actually had a pretty decent set of equipment, no doubt it was Tony Stark doing. I actually was wondering about my abilities, mainly my limits.

The exercise room was mainly used by the sports team, but there were private rooms as well. I chose the latter, I didn't need prying eyes nor did I want the sports team to take notice of me. 

I started small, my body weight was a good start then any, placing one-hundred and fifty pounds on the bar I started my tests. Two hundred reps later and no worse for wear I went to grab more weights. I added another one-hundred fifty, giving me a total of three hundred pounds. The first rep was easy, the second was the same, after fifty presses i theorized I was nearing  my limits, I reckoned I could life nearly five-hundred if needed; possibly another hundred under the influence of adrenaline.

My next test was my speed. Setting up the treadmill I began to run at a relaxed pace. My goal was to see how many mile I could run  in 30 minutes. My timer went off and I hopped off. I ran fifteen miles in thirty minutes, that put me thirty mph. Satisfied I went to do other things before the period came to a end.

Before I could reach for the knob someone had already opened the door. Before me was the fiery red headed beauty Mary Jane Watson.

"Excuse me! This room had been reserved." She cocked her head and peered behind me.

I smiled tightly and raised my hand placatingly before apologizing. She explained to me how the private rooms reservations worked. I equally explained to her how I honestly didn't know and she allowed me to leave with a stern warning.

Mary Jane was exasperated. Just who did that boy think he was? She quickly changed out her clothes and froze as she looked at the bench and the weight that was still set on it.

She ran back to the door and opened it, she looked around for him. "No way! There is no way that skin and bones was capable of lifting three-hundred pounds." She mumbled aloud but her eyes told another story.

Cole was heading to fourth period but froze and silently cursed. He hadn't reset the weights.. He contemplated briefly but ended up believing nobody would believe he was capable of lifting three-hundred pounds, anyway.

Cole Stephens, a unmentionable man from earth perishes only to awaken inside the body of a recently deceased teen. He quickly learns he has been transplanted into the Marvel Universe with a system.

I’m not a writer; this is for fun and self-improvement, please exit stage left if you’re looking for some Game of Throne type of storyline or to self impose your own beliefs or direction of the story, go write your own.

She winced. She seldom hears him say her full name and most of the time, he does it when he's really mad. So, he's definitely mad now, she knew. She scratched her forehead.

"You don't have to announce my name like that Gramps," she replied and guided him back to the car. People are now starting to flock the parking lot as it's nearing nighttime and she doesn't want to be a spectacle on this expected bloody conversation. She escaped her brother but not their grandfather. And she guessed it right, the door has not been closed yet when her grandfather started his litany of complaints.

"What we're you thinking huh? Has some bug infected your mind to make you do something like this? Are you trying to kill me? You did not even consider what I would feel! What if...what if..." she blocked her ears. She saw Mister Alex, their family driver, glancing at them from the rearview mirror. He's trying to suppress his smile. Like her, he already knows what's coming, her grandfather started preaching like a minister would on a Sunday service. And he will keep giving his sermon until she's reduced to 'yes gramps' and 'amen' responses.

"Mayu, are you listening?" Huh? She saw defeat on his eyes. He most likely knew it by now that she did not understand a single thing he said and was instead daydreaming. Still she felt guilty alright.

"Yes Gramps," he just slowly shook his head and gazed at the road. "If only he's here..." she heard him whisper.

"Dad's already been dead for a long time Gramps." He looked at her with questioning eyes. He opened his lips as if to speak but nothing came out. He turned his face back on the road. She hugged him from behind.

"I'm sorry Gramps. My pride won't accept that I can't write anymore," she lamented. She heard him sigh but she just went on talking.

"I don't even know what happened. Everything's just gone. All the ideas that previously flooded my mind, they're all gone. I don't even have a hint what caused it. How could I forget? I'm feeling useless it's so frustrating. I won't accept this. I refuse to."

She was a writer all right. A well known writer in fact. But that was now in the past. Few months back, she felt it, she already lost it. She can't write anymore. She can't even organize her thoughts. She just felt a warm hand wiping the tears she did not notice escaped her eyes. She saw her grandpa's smiling face. 

"You know princess, it's really not too late to go back to practice," Mayu frowned at what she just heard.

"That topic has long been closed Gramps. I don't wanna go back to practice anymore." What he's referring to is her nursing practice. She worked as a nurse for two years and she just stopped. She decided to widen her horizon by changing her area of practice. And she's been writing stories since kindergarten so she felt like she'd be successful as a writer. She got the job alright and enjoyed a time of fame. But that only lasted for a few months. She lost ideas. She has not even enjoyed her moment of honor...err...something like that.

For the past couple of weeks, her brother and grandfather has been desperately trying to convince her to stop exasperating them. As this has not been a single event where her life was endangered.

She knew she's giving them a lot of headaches lately but her big writer ego won't allow acceptance that she's already lost her ability to write. If I lost it, then I should find it, she gritted her teeth. She's even willing to spar with anyone just to get back her pride as a writer.

She scanned her grandfather's face. He had this worried look on his eyes. He looked tired, too. She felt guilty enough to look down. He has been taking care of her when her father died. She sighed. She never saw her mom...alive. Well, there are photos. She died giving birth to her but nonetheless her father loved her so much.

She was a spoiled brat alright but she knew when to stop. She's one of those spoiled kids that still has their conscience, ehehe.

She can also say that they are a family of medical people. Starting with her grandfather who's the hospital director of the same hospital he built after he retired as a surgeon. Her father, who is obviously not in the picture now, is also a doctor but died from stroke. This happened after her older brother passed his medical licensure exam. As for her, she was already a nursing student when it happened. Of everyone in the family, she's the only one that lost interest in the medical field.

She never remembered the reason why, maybe she's not really for it after all. They say each family has their own black sheep (1). Maybe she's their own family's black sheep, although she's fair-skinned, she joked to herself.

"You're not listening to me again," her train of thoughts were brought back home with these words of offense from her grandfather. Gosh, I have an active imagination, why can't I write?

"Gramps, I'm really not going back," she responded but he looked more frustrated.

"You're really not listening!" She just flashed him a smile.

"I'm sorry, I just remembered something and ended up reminiscing it," he suddenly grew enthusiastic.

"Really? What did you remember?" he excitedly asked. She just shrugged her shoulders.

"Just some things from the past. Dad's death for example,"

"Anything else?"he cut in.

"Umm. That's about it. Our family history and such things. Is there a problem?" he looked frustrated again.

"Oh, not really. I'm hoping you'd suddenly remember your oath as a nurse and you know , probably wake up from your dream and realize you're a nurse. So we can stop all this nonsense and have a peaceful life," he grinned. She now looks frustrated.

"Gramps,"

"Oh, I know!" he clapped his hands. "Why don't we make a bet?"

She did not hide her irritation when he looked back at him. She holds deep respect for her grandfather but she's definitely going on war- mode if he still keeps on insisting this conversation.

"What is it, Gramps?" she asked lazily.

"I'll give you one week."

One week? What one week?

"What about it?"

"Write any story in one week. Any story. Even if it's just a draft or a short story. Just a week. Or go back to the hospital and work there, he looked dead serious.

"Ehehe. Gramps, you do know my situation today. I have a writer's block (2). Like for weeks now!"

"That's why I'm giving you a week. I have to do this you know. It's for your own good. You will never improve if you keep on going on like this." Uh-oh.

"Gramps," but her words went nowhere. He's now checking his planner and most likely taking note of what he just said.

He already retired overseeing their hospital and turned it over to her brother a few years back. Although he still does surprise visits from time to time just to mess around. She got all the mischievous genes from him and she knows he's up to something once he holds his planner. He's now probably making adjustment on his itinerary. She heard him humming to himself. Great. HELP!

1. Someone who does not follow the norms within their family. Someone different from the rest of the family members.

Hi, I'm Mayu. No, I'm Yumi. Well, I'm Mayumi. I guess I'm both. I'm a nurse. I'm a writer. I'm still both. I'm single and ready to mingle. But I'm married? O-okay. I think I need to speak to my brother. Oh, you're not? Let me speak to my grandfather then. What? Why would I speak to him? He's my boyfriend? I thought I'm married. What's happening? I'm Mayu. Yumi. No. Hey! Who are they? Why are they here? This is my story. What's happe- *beep*

Planet: Earth(This version of earth however is in a different universe so things are very different such as cultivation and very primitive society.)

Races: Devils, Humans, Giants, Dragons, Angels, Demi-creatures, Titans, Asura, etc...

MC will be developing his own kingdom with modern technology and ideas. Basically picture back in the past of a cultivation world but since that's too primitive the MC is gonna build toilets and virtual reality games and proper city infrastructure since that's what he was born in. Kinda the best of both worlds by combining modern/future convenience with the beauty and depth of a fantasy world.

Also MC will be gradually OP and ruthless to enemies. He doesn't believe in mercy unless special circumstances. Plus he isn't a great planner so most things will be solved with his fists instead of an in depth strategy. 

If you prefer a long 20 chapters on scheming and planning to beat an enemy then this story isn't for you cause my MC doesn't need any of that. He just beats the shit out of whatever is thrown at him.
