I walk through my dreams like I've lived a whole life there, most times they are about a recent book I read. That is one of the things I do a lot and I'm not just saying that I really do read almost all day long. If I'm not reading I am probably watching some movie or anime series, yes you can probably guess I haven't done much with my life. let's start where it all began.

Back in middle school I loved to read books so much so that when I was grounded they took away my books instead of saying I couldn't go out with friends or no tv/games. yes I was a pretty strange kid compared to some being a 12 year old in America at the time(2012 No less). when I was grounded my next best thing was video games because they told stories as well at the time my video game collection was pretty sparce using an old dell business computer that ran windows xp (let's just say I got really good at minesweeper). even before I found books video games were still present. I still remember my mom gifting me an original Xbox she won in a contest it came with one game and it was a racing game not a lot of story just races.

After a while of getting in trouble I got grounded while i was grounded so I lost games as well suffice to say my box of legos was not very entertaining for a 12 year old mainly because I didn't like to make things up myself it felt so tedious that I had to work so hard to make up shapes and other things people already. i also didn't have many friends so instead I slept, and I slept hard. I don't remember much of my dreams then but I do remember one that was about magic and there was a really dark forest that went on forever in a sea of trees, other than that though I don't remember.
A couple of months later I was officially free and it felt like freedom I got to read again, it was so much fun, I would imagine it being like a drowning mans next breath of air. I didn't goto sleep that night instead I stayed up reading, when morning came I was tired but the book just got to THAT PART that is just so interesting and catching you can't stop, i read through that day as well. after dinner I got so tired I slept couldn't keep reading.
the next morning felt so sluggish like the morning after you get drunk but not enough for a hangover. well after a week of being late for school because I was busy reading parents up an sold all my books. ALL of them like really I was almost done reading them! I never read another book until after basic training 4 or 5 years later.
things changed after I lost my collection I switched to video games and because they didn't want me up all night reading whenever Christmas came around it was games instead of books. birthday? video game. my dad was an avid gamer always tried to keep his pc updated and sent old games I could run on my pc to me. me and my dad were always great at games but I could never compete with him, and it totally didn't have to do with me playing the games for the stories instead of for the high scores(of you can't tell this sentence is sarcasm read this again).

flash forward to the start of high school I was big on video games by then my computer had upgraded to a brand new one from my birthday me and my dad built it together good memories there. I remember when i tried to play morrowwind on it. that was when I realised I didn't like challenging games i liked to play and get the story, maybe different endings (those were my favorite).

at the start of high school I didn't really have a lot of friends because I didn't have many in middle school. my dad recommended me to join the ROTC there, he said he did and he had fun when he was in high school. So I did and the first year was fun and it started with ROTC especially when I started competing. I had so much fun I spent 14 hours of day at school I woke up at 5 to get to practice went to school than got home around 7 after the other practice you can imagine I didn't have a lot of time for video games especially because all that practice was physally demanding. 

1 year later 2 year in high school this I would consider the real start of high school for you actually have to do something to pass your classes I met a girl in my math class (insert joke about about girls causing problems in highschool here [ps: this is the joke I'm not sexist]). We started talking about a lot of things our school football team things like that, than we got to books she loved to read book I got to see her library once well less of a library and more of a whole wall of books and all books I wanted to read. her name was Alex I had the biggest crush on her at one point than found out she was lesbian so we kinda grew apart shallow I know but it's high school things like this happen. anyways after seeing those books some of them I used to read myself I started to want to read again, but I had no books i was still forbidden to read so I put my frustration put on video games during this time I was playing a lot of modern warfare 2 I loved the story and the way it flowed but it was really the first game I really played on steam I have logged over 500 hours  on that game alone I got every achievement for single player even the ones for veteran difficulties and also got most for the multiplayer which at this point I had everything unlocked and was max level I loved the multi player.

at this point I was starting to show up late sometimes to practice because I wasn't sleeping early enough. I went one more year like that and over summer I played so many video  games I swear I dreamt about sheaperd in mw2 around this time skyrim came out and I played the heck out of it  (I didn't get as many hours of playtime because 3rd year of high school is the hardest around 200hours). 3rd year rolls around I've dropped out of all practices because it was all boring again nothing new same old stuff. I was still busy keeping my grades up especially that foreign language credit that is needed to graduate.

4th year felt like being a freshman again except youre the one who makes fun of the freshmen.

nothing important happened then so I graduated and I wanted adventure something new so I went and joined the US Airforce. If I knew what I knew about it than I would have waited unroll now to join. long story short my addiction to video games got the better of me some nights during training and I ended up sleeping in, combined with my selective forgetfulness  (I kid you not I forgot my boots one time). luckily I wasn't in that long so I got an entry level discharge (look it up if you don't know) after I got back I found books to read online and read I did but because I didn't have school and at the time no work to deal with

this is about the time where I realised something special about my dreams.

at one point in high school I played a game where you create your own games and other people play them but this wasn't like legos using only blocks this was a program and once they started to abandon the Lego building style I started to learn it you could import meshes from other programs like blender so I started learning how to use it during this time I started dreaming up wire frames i wanted to tell a story using this game a story without words. I spent a long time on this and I can say to this day that I am self taught at how to use blender and that I ended up really famous on that game for my builds

that was the first clue because I was spending so long learning how to use blender I started dreaming up wire frames or if I was having a really hard time with a specific thing I would dream how it looked and be able to re create it the next day.

now after my attempt at trying to get a stable job i went back to reading. It started out with books i had already read then spread and spread till I found whole websites filled with books to read some exciting some not and they all had one HUGE thing in common they were all fiction and that's what I like. the wilder the better.

one day I met a girl and we planned on getting married and we had a kid a beautiful daughter we named Angela love her so much. I don't know what happened after we came out of the hospital after she gave birth she said she was through with me and left. that hurt a lot so I went back to reading and read I did the stories around this time were mainly reincarnation stories in another world I swear I had a dream at one point i was reincarnated into alegasea  (if you don't know you haven't lived).

this is where I realised my dreams make for the best stories and I tried to write a story about a specific dream once or twice. It never turned out well. Now I'm in college for networking taking a Cisco class (super boring) so my dreams are extra vivid further making me want to write those stories out but they never seem to tell the story how I want then to but right now this one is working does this count as 4th wall break? (lol couldn't resist the humor there [and don't say it was bad because you thought it was funny at some point deep deeeep down you just don't know it])

a story about a man and his dreams that might mean he is insane or might just love books too much. don't listen to the voices in your head about this one because the pink platypusbear that sleeps like a bat doesn't like your drugs.

After I sleep I don't remember anything anymore, the only thing I remember is that cute, sweet feeling I was feeling as I was falling asleep, I thank them for letting me sleep like that.

I woke up two times in the night because they had to change the person who would be outside the guard, but soon after I went back to sleep, they were cautious not to wake me up. They are lovely women.

They are the kind of people that look bad, and their clothes make their a little scary, but once you know their personalities better, you realize that she is a great person, all 3 was that way.

From the beginning, I already sympathized with Eleonor and Clevina as they were in the back of Cibely making a joke. The only one that scared me was Cibely. Still, she is the most lovable of all, and this proves that I shouldn't judge people for their appearance.

But leaving that aside, it was time to wake up. It seems that don't have any attacks at night, and it was a quiet night.
I'm grateful for that since I didn't want the girls to get hurt.

Well, if they got hurt I could cure them as I did with Emily's mother, but it's not okay if they die instantly there was no way to bring them back to life, I think even in this world it's not possible to bring the dead back to life.

When we woke up, we got out of the carriage and ate some fruits that were inside my storage, which again was the Cibely who gave me to keep.

I don't know what we would do with breakfast from now on since there was no place to pick fruit around here. I wouldn't want to go inside a forest to look for fruit or something.

They had no bread, so the only thing we could eat was meat, meat for breakfast and the rest of the day, I think by the time I get to that city I'll be sick of meat already, this will be uncomfortable.

After we had finished breakfast, we climbed into the carriage and continued our journey as before, again I sat on Cibely's side, and Eleonor and Clevina sat on the other side of the carriage, and again began that awkward silence.

To end that silence, I decided to ask or get into something not to be a boring trip like last time, since yesterday I was very bored since I had nothing to do or talk about.

"Are there board games in Grenrok?" I decided to ask if there were games only in that city because if there is not in that city, they can at least know the board games, but if they have never heard of it, I can bring these games to this world.

"Ah, yes, but there are only chess, you know?" Cibely said something interesting to me, does it seem that in the city of Grenrok there is only chess, or is there chess only all over the world? It needs to be more specific.

"Are there any other board games besides this?" I asked a more specific question this time to try to find out all about the board game culture in this world.

It had been a few hours, and we spent this time talking about various things, we also stopped a little for the horses to rest and took the opportunity to fill the water bottles as it was almost over.

There is plenty of river in this world, not like my old world where the water gets smaller in the world with each passing year. Well, I appreciate having water everywhere, so we won't have work to get water or food.

"So how did you two meet?" Since it was so boring, I decided to listen to Cibely's story about her group. They seemed to be very friendly, but people weren't born friends, so I wanted to know how they met and formed their group, I always enjoyed hearing stories like that.

I wasn't the kind of people who ran after friendships a lot, and I wasn't the kind of person other people were looking for friendship, so I liked to hear these stories, either in anime or told by people on the internet.

After the three women give some thought, it seems that they finally decided whether or not to tell the story to me. I didn't want to force them to say, and I just wanted to have some fun and end my boredom during this trip.

The women decided that Eleonor would tell the story; it seems she is the girl with the best storytelling skills in this group.

And from there begins the story of Cibely's group. I hope there is no tragedy in this story, and I hope it is a cute story where I can admire every moment this group of friends spent together.

That kind of "Slice of Life" story that leaves you with a smile on your face.

For me, otome games are a very brilliant idea that a human had ever made.
 
It is a form of entertainment that lets you explore different cultures and places by just playing it. Also, I personally prefer playing otome games because you are the protagonist of the story. It means that you also have the ability to see and control to your own life. By just picking the best answers given to you by the system, the flow of the story will certainly bring you to a satisfying ending.
 
A lot of otome games these days attract the players by its beautiful CGs, background music that add a huge impact to the story, and the voice actors and actresses who give more life to the characters of the story. The gameplay of each game should be smooth or else, the quality of the game will be destroyed. 
 
And let us not forget about the capture targets of these games. These capture targets are usually almost perfect. They are visually attractive, always the best when it comes to their own work, and has an aura that attracts the people around them. But you know what really attracts me the most? 
 
It is their backstory!
 
Usually, the most successful capture target in the game has the most heartbreaking backstory. Like someone they trusted the most betrayed them that's why they don't want to trust in others again, or their past lover treated them like some dispensable garbage so they don't believe in love again, or their family abused or ignored them that is why they are always cold and aloof. 
 
By just knowing their backstories, as a loyal otome player, you will have the urge to protect them and fix their broken hearts again. 
But let us not forget the critical element of a good otome game. And this is the plot of the story. Otome games are obviously a game with a love story. But a love story itself is not enough to make an otome game a huge success. 
 
Aside from romance, an otome game should also have a good character development. Just like in real life, appearance is not enough to make someone fall in love with them. They should also have a good personality and attitude. 
 
The target of these games is mostly girls. And of course, I am not an exemption from it. 
 
Yesterday, I tried the latest otome game released in the online market last month. The title of this game is Midnight Lovers Rendevouz. I bought this otome game because of its high ratings and good reviews from the other players. Because I am the type of person who always believed in other's opinions, I bought this game even though it is a bit expensive.
 
Midnight Lovers Rendevouz or MiLoRe for short, is a sexy love otome game with four attractive capture targets. But in reality, there are really five capture targets. The hidden capture target will be revealed once you get a fifty percent of love points from each of the four capture targets.
 
The goal of this game is to raise the love points of your chosen capture target and achieve their happy endings. This will be achieved by giving them the right choices of answers and using some items that raise their favorability points.
The story starts when the Main Character or MC will resign from her job as a designer in a huge company. She will leave the company along with its unreasonable boss who wants to sell her designs and use someone's name as the creator of it. And the reason the boss gave to her? He said that as a senior employee, she should help their newcomer to be successful too in the fashion world.
 
If I were the MC, I will also do the same. Who the hell will approve of that reason? Just because you are a senior employee, you should give your works to your juniors to make them successful too? That's bullshit.
 
Anyways, after the MC left her company, she will meet the four capture targets one by one. Three of the capture targets will be her workmates while the other one will be her new neighbor. It's up to the player if they will focus on only one capture target or the player will still communicate and try to raise the other capture target's love points.
 
You only need to choose your favorite capture target, raise his love points and get a happy ending. Seems simple, right? This is also what I thought about this game.
 
Wrong. Very wrong.
 
These reviews and ratings are all lies! They are all a freaking scam! This is not the typical otome game I've played before!
 
Some of the choices given by the system are not giving the player any favorability points towards their chosen character. Instead, if you choose the wrong answer, either the love points will reduce by ten points and you'll possibly get a bad ending. And what's more? I need to pay a hundred dollars if I want to unlock the hidden chapters of the game!
 
I've already paid a huge sum of money to buy this game and I still have to pay another hundred dollars just to unlock the hidden chapters? That's freakingly ridiculous! 
 
Though there is still a way to unlock the hidden chapters. The player just needs to finish the hidden capture target's route and earn a hundred percent of love points from him. But how am I supposed to do it if I can't even raise my favorability points with the four capture targets in this game to know his identity? 
 
Ever since I bought this game, I never get a chance to finish anyone's route. It is because I keep on choosing the wrong answers which leads me to a bad ending. But just like an obsessed woman, I keep on trying to get at least half of the characters' love points so I will know who is the hidden capture target while cursing the game producers of MiDoRe in my heart.
 
After getting another bad ending, I let out a tired sigh and throw my phone on the bed. MiDoRe is actually stressing me out! Otome games should be a game full of fun and cheesy storylines. It should not be like this! Massaging my temples with my fingers, I reach for my phone and find the reset button from the menu bar.
 
One more time! 
 
I will play this otome game one more time and try to reveal the hidden character's identity. If I ever fail again this time, I will surely give this game a zero rating and a lot of bad comments.
 
But the moment I click the reset button, I suddenly feel a little dizzy and drop my phone on the floor. A buzzing sound is ringing in my ears and it gets louder every second. I instinctively cover my ears with my hands and close my eyes, hoping that the sound will disappear.

My choice? I will avoid them all! It is a better choice instead of risking my life trying to raise their points. 
 
But why do their favorability points keep on raising even though I am trying my best to avoid them? It doesn't even happen while I'm playing this game before!

Her mind ran with wild with theories, stretching on for miles on end, wrapping themselves around her small brain, as she tried to make sense of it all. But Aileene simply couldn't and the further she delve into her own thoughts, the more questions she had. 

How was the book created? 

Was this Aileene from a different parallel world? 

How was the book able to reach her hands? 

Why did the system allow it to exist? Or did the system not know? 

The theories that she could come up with were boundless and she felt lost. Her back was up against the wall and she couldn't help but despair in the fact that her normal cleverness or intelligence didn't help her at all. There was no way left for her to go but forward. She had to finish the novel, the more she read, the more she would understand, right? 

'Vain, in my world was a new and innovative game. It was one of kind in it's debuted genre, something no one had ever seen before. And so when it was pushed into the public's eyes it immediately gains traction, selling millions of copies all around the world in just a day. 

The game market a new type of experience. It was a self-changing game, in which all decisions were made by the player. 

Quests were unlocked by actions of the player, and the actions of the player, itself, were unlimited. Players were to type their own speech, dictate their own actions. Which in turn leaves the effect of the players' actions limitless. 

The program to this new technology was, of course, a secret. Such an ingenious idea. Who would want to have it revealed to the world? That would just make the game lose all its value. 

And the value of the game was really why I brought it. Before Vain, I hadn't played many otome games. It just wasn't my forte, so I didn't delve into the genre much. Though my lack of knowledge wasn't to say that I didn't even know what otome games were. I did play one or two, here and there and I basically knew the essential. So I was better off than most, but not a die-hard fan. 

I guess I didn't have an interest in games in general. I don't play many games and the games I do were all mobile since they were ones that were easy to access. Something simple and mindless. 

This wasn't the case for Vain though. It was a desktop game and it was a first for me to go out of my way for such a game. It piqued my interest, so I decided to give it a go. Maybe I'd broaden my horizon with it, was my thought process.' 

The story was really far too detailed to be something a person inside Vain could write. It disclosed information that sounded reasonably true and could have possibly happened in the real world. But the simple believability of it wasn't any concrete evidence for her to go off of. So from her own small vault of knowledge, Aileene couldn't exactly tell if everything she read was fabricated or if it was an actual real ruminate of a past world. 

Furrowing her brows, Aileene continued reading the book silently. Her mind still trying to decipher every question and theory she had, but her thoughts weren't getting very far. She stagnated in her mission, but the more she read, the more the story hooked onto her and dragged her in further. 

The Aileene within the story had been "transmigrated," her own defining term, into the otome game Vain. Her experiences and past all link to the real world that exist outside Vain and throughout the story, she uses her future knowledge and real-world knowledge to solve all her problems. From every single destruction flag that headed her way, she would strike them down with extreme efficiency. 

This in turn set up a domino effect to things, every action the book Aileene made further changed the original plot of Vain. Good turned into bad, bad turned into good. And so when book Aileene had finally started her years in Austrion Academy, the dominos that had been accumulating through time had started falling. One after another. 

Since the villainess within the book was now kind and good. The world collapsed onto itself and the heroine turned vicious and evil. Though book Aileene didn't let any obstacles stand in her way of success and she stared on at the chaos of the falling dominos she had created, taking her steps in stride. In the end, she was able to overturn fate and earn herself a happy ending, despite her original status as a villainess. 

Aileene flipped over the last pages of the book and sighed, the events portrayed in the books felt very familiar to her as she was reading. But as luck would have it, she simply couldn't think straight. Nevermind pinpoint exactly what her theory was, maybe it was just her tired and muddle-headedness speaking, afterall she had stayed up so late. So much so that her brain had given up its cognitive ability to remember. 

Closing the book and turning to place it on her nightstand. Aileene glanced up at her pale blue curtains, which shadowed beside the hint of light stoning from the slit where the two parts of the curtain touched but weren't completely pinned together. 

Seeing the light, she could guess that it was already morning. And instead of simply staying up late, she had stayed up the whole night. Aileene closed her eyes, finally starting to feel the effects of her timeless endeavor. She couldn't manage her time when she was sucked into the novel. So now she had to face the consequences of her actions. 

Shifting her body to lie down, she shoved all her worries away. When the evening comes, she'd try to decipher her thoughts.

Vain, a new otome game pushed into the public, marketed a new type of experience. A self changing game with all decisions made by the player. 

Quests are unlocked by actions of the player, and the actions of the player, itself, are unlimited. Players are to type their own speech, dictate their own actions. Which in turn leaves the effect of the players actions unlimited. 

No endings are alike. 

No heroine are alike. 

All characters can change.

After completing the game, Zhou Yu learned that there were also Easter eggs hidden inside the game as well. It seemed like the player could also cultivate some legendary plants or keep legendary creatures on the farm. However, Zhou Yu didn't have the hobby to discover Easter eggs in games, so he didn't play it twice.

The rich and detailed character settings were the highlight of the game. Every NPCs in Luhua village had their own living styles and own social circles. They would appear at different locations at different time. It would require the player a large amount of time, if the player wanted to discover them all.

Although it was not a 3D map, the basic landscapes of Luhua Village were successfully recreated in the game. Being able to see the place that he lived, in the game, it was a type of feelings that not everyone would be able to get.

And what surprised Zhou Yu, even more, was that he became a mysterious man in the game. Seeing the strange dialogues and the ghost-like appearing routine that his character had, Zhou Yu knew that his antisocial lifestyle was exaggerated by the game.

The naughty kid's king - Zhou Hao, the girl who liked to film horror movies - He Yuanyuan, the girl who always thought about money - Zhou Shuyu… All the characters had distinctive characteristics, plus Zhou Yu knew them in the real life, it gave him a strange feeling of excitement as if he had discovered the secrets of other people that lived in the village.

Combining with a week's playing experience, apart from scoring low points on its graphics, overall it was not a bad game at all. At least, it was much better than the other shitty single player games that were made in China.

But having bad graphics was also a big problem. By simply looking at the graphics of the game, it would immediately attract a lot of criticisms and may even attract many trolls. The people, who would really try out the game, probably would not be many.

So, it would not be easy, if he wanted to use the tier-one games to make money.

Now it was time to try the tier-two games.

The name of the tier-two game was also called Luhua village. This time it was a PC based, online game. It was a horror mystery-solving game set in Luhua village. With its ancient inheritance, Luhua village hid a terrifying secret. A group of troubled college students came to the village to experience rural life. However, what they met with, were the horrible deaths, occurring one after another.

To Zhou Yu, who was basically writing the chapters for his light novel every day, writing the story introduction to the game was as easy as a piece of cake. However, if he needed to expand the story, then he would need some time to think. But this game was just a trial version, so he did not want to spend any time on that.

After the paper was completed, the soldier's development team once again marched into the main building to begin the development process. The count down timer above the building was still shown 48 hours. It seemed like there was not much of difference in term of the developing time between the tier-one games and the tier two games.

With full hope, Zhou Yu patiently waited for the tier-two game to finish. However, he did not expect that his secluded life would be disrupted by an unexpected event. It also caused a quite big stir in the originally quiet Luhua village.

The first "documentary" that was shot by both He Yuanyuan and Zhou Shuyu together went viral online.

Zhou Yu, a reclusive otaku, who did not like to go out of his house, was one day forced out of his house by a series of unexpected events.

During his seven days of hard work Theo had no time to stream. He did do the odd picture now and then for Instagram but In the eyes of his "Live It" and "Twitter" fans he had just magically disappeared.


So Theo took this time to contact someone he owes quite a bit of his fame for, and that person was Samantha Jenson aka Always_Sammy.


"Hi, you still up for playing a game on stream with me" Asked Theo through Instagram 


A few seconds later Samantha replied "Omg, for real! What game?"


Theo responded with a link to the website "Hunt Games" which was made specifically for his games. 


"Download Mortal Kombat, it's a game I personally made. Familiarise yourself with the controls then we can play against each other also can you not tell anyone as I want to announce it before we play" 


"That's so cool I can't wait" replied Samantha


"Tell me what you think about it once you get a feel for it and what time do you want to play on stream together" 


Samantha replied with "Okay, It shouldn't take to long as I am quite good at getting the controls for games. Let's say 6 pm after that we can play some games that I personally like" 


"Good, I'll be on at 6, I'll make the announcement for the game then we play, I'll leave you to try it out put first"


"well see ya" Samantha replied

A few blocks down from Theo's house was an apartment building that Samantha was living in. 

After texting back and forth with Theo Samantha began shaking in excitement before giving a scream "Oh my God, I'm gonna play with Theo!!" 


She dived into her bed and sunk her head deep into the pillows to continue her screams.


"Me and Theo, Theo and I. Mrs Samantha Smith rolls off the tongue" Said, Samantha

She began to shake her head violently "I need to think rationally, he probably already has a girlfriend" 



Even though she said this she had told her self 'It doesn't matter, it's normal to have two or three girlfriends when you become a star'


She then clicked on the link Theo had sent and was then presented a website with an animated forest background. Then in bold white letters the logo "HUNT" was centered near the top.


Then below it was an image of the mortal combat symbol. It then had a brief description of Mortal Kombat's story and how its played.


"Okay so it's a fighting game based on the idea that the world will end if earth representative lose. Looks I'll be using a controller. Kinder interesting. okay and. . . downloading"


20 minutes later it had finally downloaded. Sitting up straight and putting her headset on, she clicked on the game to start it up. She first saw Theo's "HUNT" logo appear with green hue around and then she saw the Mortal Kombat symbol that then faded away like smoke. 


It then showed the starting screen of which had gold words along the bottom that reads "Press Space" and in the background was the blurry image a dark room that had skulls with candles in it.

The sound playing in the background was just quiet wind blowing it sounded almost ghostlike.


"This is giving me a really creepy vibe for some reason. Ain't fighting games supposed to be bright" She pressed the space bar with caution.


She was then presented with an even darker landscape of a wrecked castle with several options in front. She clicked the story mode option.


Then she saw the characters and immediately she began her search for a character to play. After a good look around she understood that the games females are really revelling but she wasn't bothered by it as she has no quarrels with it.

She picked Sonya Blade as her character just for the fact that she has blond hair like her.

Warning: Harem, system, slow-paced, CRINGE and system with a bad personality. 

This has been dropped. This is my first novel which had a lot of problems from the pacing, power scale and grammar. Read knowing that it has no end.

To be a star is a simple Idea but to turn a boy that's been secluded from Society into one is much more difficult. Even if you took on his body you still felt his anxiety, insecurity and more. It's slow but worth it.

The Mc is beta at the start as he is a character that suffers from anxiety due to his upbringing. Although it did take 23 chapters for the Mc to show visible growth that's just due to my naturally slow pacing.

Don't expect too much, especially since this is my first time writing a novel. It's also best not to take seriously as I am just writing for fun and to just something to do on my downtime 

This novel will share a lot of similarities to other novels that I particularly love and mostly because I lack originality but it will be in my style.
