Guys I made this story to join from contest I previous Writing Prompts Contest 123: Female Lead - Werewolf Sighted on Campus! But now it's already end and I think I don't make make it. So if someone reading this story of mine cause I'm planning to not update it every day since I have another 3 story and it's my priority cause I join it as well in the contest. But if someone will opposed at my decision please do tell me I will change my mine immediately cause for all of my story so far this is what I really like... Hehe so please... Thanks for reading everyone, but I have to put Marco and Reina's adventures on pause for a sad announcement. 

If you've been following other original novels, you probably know that something's been brewing lately. To give you the full story, last year Webnovel hosted a contest called "Beyond the Language." The promise was that the winners would receive a Webnovel contract, the first for any English original novel. I quickly wrote the first draft of this story you've been reading and submitted it. 

Fast-forward to the end of 2017, New Year's Eve to be exact. I was sent an e-mail, much to my joy, saying that I was on the "winner's shortlist" for the Beyond The Language contest. Talk about a great way to ring in 2018. Or so I thought. 

I learned mid-January that Webnovel wanted some changes to my story. And by that, I mean their "experts" advised I scrap my original idea and turn Marco into an OP hero that dazzled everyone with some new secret technique every other chapter. I asked if I could keep my story as it was, and was basically told "we don't feel confident in giving a contract or prize to your current story." So I made changes. Changes I wasn't happy with, but I made them. 

More weeks passed, until it was suddenly April. I got a message April 7th telling me two very surprising things. First, I was to publish my story for the Original Novels' launch on the April 10th.

 "What about the contract?" I asked. 

"The contract is not ready," was the response I got. "There is no need to sign a contract before upload. I think it's a great opportunity to expose your work since on the early stage there are not many novels." 

Oh yeah, that's right. The second surprise I got was the reveal that everyone could publish a novel. So not only is there a lack of contract, but us "contest winners" weren't even the first original novels. We shared that honor with a bunch of fanfics and every variation of a title using the world "System." 

You're smart people, so you can quickly piece together that April was two months ago. Two months and still no mention of contract or even a post announcing the status of the Beyond the Language contest. My inquiries to Webnovel staff were met with no answer. Not as in they were vague. I mean I was literally ignored.

So imagine my surprise (seems to be a running theme with Webnovel) when I read Insane Mooncake's latest chapter of Memory Seal announcing his hiatus, and Bai Siwa's frank rant to his readers. There are contracts being put out!? Nice of Webnovel to let me know. 

And that is why I must join what is sure to be a growing number of writers leaving Webnovel. It just makes no sense to keep contributing content to a platform that's actively snubbing you. Especially when I have rent and car payments to make, and this pesky need to constantly ingest food. 

Yes, it is unfortunately about the money. I cherish every comment and review I get (even the negative ones), but the bills need to get paid. And Webnovel clearly isn't going to be helping in that department. 

So I deeply apologize, but I have to leave Marco and Reina, and you, hanging just as their adventures were getting started. Who knows? Maybe I'll return to them one day on another platform. It would be nice to polish the story instead of having to put something out in a rush to keep up a consistent release. For now, I think I'll retreat back into my writer's hole (read: bedroom), start brainstorming my next project, and play some much-needed Monster Hunter.

He Mu was confused like a duck listening to the thunder. He totally did not understand, so he could just ask, "Teacher Su, what do you think about it?"
"Tai Ji is the condition when the heaven and the earth is still in chaos. The movement is Yang and the stillness is Yin. The movement and the stillness combine with each other. The same with Yin and Yang. They are derived from each other. So they are both noumenon and derivation for they change with the momentum!" Meng Qi did not explain the poem but tried to answer this question.
He Mu was more confused. He thought it was beyond his apprehension. He understood nothing about Teacher Su's words but just answered with "yes".
After answering the question, Meng Qi said with a carefree smile, "It's the law of the heaven and then earth. It's naturally shown in the Kung Fu and movements. When one attacks, his movements contain Yin and Yang which create and promote each other. They change with momentum and enemies. When they fully combine with each other, it's hard to tell which is Yin and which is Yang."
It's the supreme truth which Meng Qi learned from "Asking Heaven". The truth was abstract, so it was hard to exert it on the movement, Kung Fu and details although many people knew about it. They had to figure out by practice. It would be best if there was a similar Kung Fu for Meng Qi to make reference. In that way, he could quickly get the Essence and all Essences of different kinds of Kung Fu and use it on bladesmanship and sword art.
He thought about it and felt that Youth Yao's Yin-Yang Swords was quite similar with it. If he planned to pursue a way like Sword Blade Ambidexterity, this was also one of the ideas of Primary Instruction.
When it came to Kung Fu and movements, He Mu could understand a little, so he said in a low voice, "Some movements contain both Yin and Yang."

But he asked in confusion, "Why should the story go like this? Why my rival would react in these ways?"
"Good questions! You're worth teaching!" Meng Qi laughed for He Mu asked about the essence of the story. "But it's useless even if you know it now."
He Mu was not obsessed with the question but said in confidence, "Teacher Su, see you later."
"Okay. Don't be nervous." Meng Qi tapped one of his shoulders and said with a smile, "Use your sword to tell a good story to them."
He Mu left. After the door was closed, Qi Zhengyan stepped out from the room and asked while thinking, "Why did you teach him the law of sword art?"
Even he had new understandings about the sword arts which he learned before after listening to Meng Qi's teaching.
Meng Qi said with a smile, "Senior Brother Qi, Which reason do you want to know, the superficial one or the real one?"
"The superficial reason..." Qi Zhengyan had been tricked several times, so he chose to take the opposite direction.
"I'm thinking about and practicing Bright Sword and the setout. I'm trying to practice From Simple to Complicated. Thanks to He Mu, I plan to make up completely new stories and see their effects during He Mu's battles with rivals that he never met with before. It's just like properly arranging a chess game before inviting my rival." Meng Qi seriously said.
Qi Zhengyan gently nodded. The reason is good and acceptable.If I do not favor Book of the Chaos more, I would like to give a try.
He took a small breath and asked, "Is it the superficial reason?"

Option 2: Racial traits from her mother  (play a larger part in the story) -> increased mobility from the spider legs, acid spit, wall climbing and web shooting

Option 3: Swordsmanship --> learns the holy blade technique from her father that creates a sword that is an extension of her body (righteous path)

Option 4: The art of poison --> learning the deadly art of killing silently from Katarina who teaches her to weaponise dangerous gases ( darker path)


Option 5: Jack of all trades --> Sophie trains and utlises all these methods to grow stronger --> Drawback : it takes her a long time to raise her cultivation base as her attention is split among different trainings

Hey, guys.  I have some unpleasant news to discuss.

I first created this novel to enter a biweekly writing prompts contest hosted by Webnovel.  Starting three days late,  I felt that I didn't have time to create a proper outline for the novel so I hopped right in.  This has resulted in a myriad of problems popping up with regards to story progression and the overall quality of the book.

Now that I have a bit of time since the contest is over. I want to work on a few things before the novel gets too far along.  I'll mainly be outlining arcs, villains, power progression, character development, and reworking previous chapters so that they're grammatically better and easier to read.

I can not stress this next point enough.

THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT THIS NOVEL WILL BE DROPPED. 

It's just that I'll be taking a break from this story to work on a few other projects that I've thought up.

The winner of my prompt was a book that is now on hiatus. No other entries qualified. At the time I didn't realize that having votes was the rank qualifier. So my book was instantly disqualified.
Despite not making it past the car park, so to speak, I kept this story going. I had moved it to Wattpad and continued to post chapters there.
I entered it into a Wattpad community award, and had eventually won the award for Historical Fiction, but never received the prize for it. 😆
That's okay. Knowing that my writing was enough to be a winner in a judge's eyes was cool. It won over some quality stories as well. That was a prize enough for me.
After some time, I started posting the story to Tapread where it picked up read interest there. Then I got a ping from Islinda who liked the lone chapter I had left on the book page.  
This story has been a blast to write. I'm proud of what I've been able to achieve with it. I have no regrets of what I leave behind, as I have given my best shot.

Hinata longed for his Eiji to return from war. Alone in the idyllic countryside whilst other areas of Japan were torn asunder. One day, he receives a letter from his lover filled with the scent of sunflowers and his undying love for him. Followed by official news of his presumed death at Iwo Jima. Heartbroken. Yet determined to honor his promise to Eiji; to live the life they were unable to live together.

Eiji fought honorably for Japan at Iwo Jima. He fell injured in a banzai charge to be classified as dead. He recovered with the aid of an American lieutenant, who escorted him back into the mainland for espionage work. His one chance and hope of return to Hinata's side.

A compelling risk of a war story set at the end of the Pacific War, 1945. Two sides of the war, on Japanese soil, are shown from the individual perspectives of same-sex lovers Hinata and Eiji. 

More than a boys love. This story is an emotional drama, revealing heart and souls of people surviving America's assault on Japan. The consequences suffered at war's end.
