It is not as simple as entertainment purposes. There is a dark secret inside and one who found the secret will hold the power one can't ever imagine.

This is a story of a man and his friend to strive for their livelihood thru the newest VR game that surpasses its predecessor in any kind of way. This is not only a story of their struggle in life but also a tale of how will they reach their dream.

Dai Li joined in the ping-pong team as he wished, and became an agent fitness coach. On the training field, Dai Li made a brief self-introduction, and while getting to know each other, he also detected the team members.
"Talent, C+; Talent, C+; Talent, C+." Such a reading revealed that the continuous three athletes all had C+ talent.
Ping-pong is indeed the national ball, C+ talent is the most commonly seen in the provincial team. If it had been in the athletic team, C+talent would definitely be the major force. And with a large potential, the athlete could be recruited into the national team.

He is a B+ talent, so why does such a talented person stay in the provincial team? His talent is great, and if he was in athletics, even in the national team, he could be a major force! I never expected that, in ping-pong, a B+ talent can only be at the top in provincial team. So then, does this mean, in the national ping-pong team, that the players all have A-level talents? Or, maybe there will be more than one S-level talent player in the national team?
Dai Li boldly guessed these things. After all, Dai Li had stayed in the national athletic team for a long while, and knew pretty much about each athlete in the team. For instance, people like Guohong Niu, who was a B-level athlete, although he was already 22 years old when he was recruited, and yet he still received focused cultivation from the team.
Actually, among all present in the national athletic team, B-level talents were the main force. In some weak events, the team even needed C+ level talents to keep up appearances. There were only a few A-level talents, as people like Sijie Yang and Haiquan Fang were regarded as geniuses of their decades.
In regards to talents, athletics had nothing to compare with ping-pong, but it was in direct proportion to strength.
The national team's athletic competence was not poor, after all, as during every Olympics, the team won gold medals in athletic events, and often won the championships in athletic World Championships. Therefore, the national team's ability, although it may not be at the top-level in Track and Field Powers, was admittedly a contender as being the second-level in the world.
But the national ping-pong team was a place gathered by "Kings of the Devils". To foreign athletes, the national team randomly sent a player, who was a hell-difficult opponent. The national team owned absolute power in regards to ping-pong throughout the world, and this fact was undisputed.
In regards to World-level games, it was no longer news to hear that the national team won all the gold medals, but it might be big news if they failed to do so. Therefore, seeing domestic players showing high talents in regards to ping-pong was a normal thing.
Other than talents, the detector also presented athletes' shortcomings. Unfortunately, shortcomings on ping-pong techniques were things that Dai Li could not handle, as Dai Li was only a fitness coach, not a professional ping-pong coach. Moreover, ping-pong emphasized greatly on techniques.
To be honest, Dai Li's ping-pong skills were fine, at least when he held the bat. Then, no matter if he was to serve or receive, he could make his play presentable. But, as for guiding another professional, especially professional players in the provincial team, he was far from being qualified. Even though Dai Li could figure out a player's shortcomings, he didn't have the ability to guide that player in improving.
Domestic ping-pong coaches were at an extremely high level. Many coaches in the provincial team used to be national grand masters themselves, or might even have been at the top among masters. They had the world's best skills on techniques, experiences, and comprehension of the sport, so there was no need for Dai Li to show off in front of them.
Therefore, after he came to the ping-pong team, Dai Li focused on his own job as a fitness coach. Being the fitness coach, Dai Li handled his tasks and role with great facility. What he had learned in the national team was good enough for him to deal with any fitness training.
Among all sports, athletics required the most fitness training. Compared with other events, the athletic events were more simple, and were mainly just about who ran faster, who jumped higher, who threw further, etc. In these competitions, the role of the fitness coach was especially important. While in other sports, the importance of fitness training was apparently not on the top of the list.
Take basketball and football for example, the players not only needed sufficient energy, but also techniques, cooperation, and tactics. In the competitions, cooperation and tactics were more important than individual ability.
Basketball or football coaches, who had attained some fame, all created their own tactics, which they were good at, like top-level basketball or football coaches, who were masters of tactics. But, it was never heard that a famous basketball or football coach was famous for his fitness training.
Most individual events required more learning of techniques than improvements of physical qualities. Take shooting for instance, which was a sport that totally relied on techniques. Even if the athlete had a poor physical quality, and needed to take a break after every shoot, as long as he could take good aim, he could win as champion.
In fighting events, like boxing and Taekwondo, no matter how hard one punched or kicked, or how energetic an athlete was, if he could not hit his opponent, it was all in vain. Many times, one punch could KO and end the game.
Water games were also different. Diving was a high-technique activity, but swimming was similar to running, in that, both were speed contests. However, athletes' physical talents were more crucial in this arena. With big palms and feet, swimmers could have more power to thrash and pedal water. Thus, big hands and feet were basic requirements for being a top swimmer. People with small hands or feet would surely be eliminated in selections.
Since athletic events relied much on fitness coaches, therefore, as long as one was an athletic coach, his fitness training ability wasn't bad. And athletic coaches could do well on other events, like fitness coaches. In addition, Dai Li received assistance from the detector. He knew every athlete's pros and cons.
So, although Dai Li couldn't help on ping-pong techniques, he could help players fix fitness problems.
On the first day of joining the ping-pong team, Dai Li showed a convincing performance. Fitness training on ping-pong mainly included several points: speed training, flexibility training, power training and endurance training. The four programs didn't refer much to professional techniques, and thus, they belonged to a fitness coach's working area.
Speed training mainly focused on the speed of waving the arm when hitting the ball, and the speed of movement when getting the position of stance. After a single fast action, the muscles could receive relaxation and maintain brief pauses, so that they could remain unfatigued for a period of time.
Ping-pong contests required athletes to make immediate judgements, have fast reactions, quick starts, high swing speeds, and quick movements, as well as being able to change direction quickly. Only when doing these, could the player could grasp the initiative in fast, but complex, contests. These were also all based on an athlete's possessing good speed.
Flexibility influenced the athlete's accuracy of judgement and speed of reaction. The feature of ping-ping required players to react with flexible movements in the field. Meanwhile, enhancing body flexibility could improve action coordination and the accuracy of movements. Hence, players could better react to various situations, and control their bodies more accurately.
Power was the non-neglected part in modern ping-pong. Especially in recent years, the rules of the ping-ping game had changed, which caused changes in ping-pong techniques, and produced higher requirements of the players' powers. Nowadays, ping-pong had increased its demand on rotation and speed, because without sufficient power, the ball couldn't have high-rotation or high-speed.
Endurance was the necessity in most events, including ping-pong. Ping-pong was a game in which the rhythm and intensity changed continuously. Without enough endurance, the player couldn't respond to the rhythm and intensity in the game.
Moreover, after International Table Tennis Association changed the small ball into big ball, and set rules for "Unshielded Service", speed and rotating intensity were reduced more than before. These obviously all offered stricter demands on players' endurance.
Moreover, since every player had their own styles and types, ping-pong fitness training could not be generalized, but was adjusted based on each person's technical features. For example, some athletes were strength type, and had strong power, so there was no need for them to undergo long term power training.
Meanwhile, the time of training should also be paid attention to. For instance, if the player was doing flexibility training, he'd better do so at the beginning of training, when he had sufficient energy still. "This newcomer, Coach Li, does have something, as he could tell with a glance that I lack flexibility, and asked me to start to whistle run tomorrow."
"Coach Li saw my shortcoming on endurance, too. He added a 1500m run in my tasks."
"Why do I feel that this Coach Li is better than our previous Coach Ma?"
"Of course! I heard that Coach Li used to stay in the national team for a while, and that he has coached several Asian Games champions! He is the trump card in the athletic team! If not for the Deputy Director, how would he be degenerating himself to our team as a fitness coach?"
"Tell us more about inside story!"
Several gossipy athletes immediately gathered together. Usually, as gossip spreads, the story becomes more exaggerated. So, if the thing used to be as simple as 1+1=2, after being delivered from one to another, the story ended up much more complicated, and in many various versions.
Recently Dai Li had given up Glory of Kings, but fell into Survival of the Jedi. After a whole day's training, Dai Li roughly finished his dinner, then ran directly to the a cyber bar. Two hours later, after experiencing several times of "landing box", and being tortured by cunning players, Dai Li went back to his dorm with extremely bad feelings.
However, there was a man at fifties stood in front of Dai Li's room. This man was not tall, was suntanned, and although he was not simply dressed, he didn't wear expensive brands either.
Seeing that Dai Li walked towards him, the man stared at Dai Li for a while, as if checking Dai Li's identity. Then, he asked, "Excuse me, are you Coach Dai Li?"
"Yes, I am. Who are you? What can I do for you?" Dai Li looked at the man with confusion, as he knew nothing about this man.
"Finally, Coach Li!" The man smiled, as he stepped forward, then said, "I'm Feng Zhu's father. Feng Zhu is in the ping-pong team."
"Oh, you are Mr. Zhu." Dai Li recalled Zhu Feng at once, as he was also dark skinned, not tall in height, but had B+ talent. From his appearance, Feng Zhu and his father were very alike.
"Mr. Zhu, why are you coming for me?" Dai Li asked.
"Sorry, this is not a suitable place. Shall we move inside?" Feng Zhu's father pointed at Dai Li's door.
Dai Li hesitated, then nodded and opened the door. He went on to clean up the mess inside, while he apologized, "Sorry Mr. Zhu, I didn't do the cleaning today, so it's a little bit messy here."
"It's alright, it's alright." Feng Zhu's father waved his hand. He closed the door voluntarily, then took out an envelope from his pocket.
"Coach Li, please take this." Feng Zhu's father cautiously handed the envelope to Dai Li.
"What is this?" Dai Li subconsciously received the envelope. But at the time when he took the envelope, he sensed there was a pile of money in the envelope.
Dai Li was slightly shocked, and he hurriedly opened the envelope. There was indeed a pile of money inside, which was tied firmly in a small bundle. From its thickness, there might be ten thousand yuan.
"Sorry, Mr. Zhu, what do you mean by this?" Dai Li's face turned cold.

At this time, Dai Li finally figured out what was happening. Feng Zhu's father was here to give him a red envelope, filled with cash!

" Farewell," answered coolly Ting Mei before driving off on her newly bought black motorcycle.

Night fell a long time ago and it was probably past midnight but only during this time, would Ting Mei strolled around the city with her motorcycle. She loved watching the city illuminated by colorful lights and the full moon. During her trip back home, she hit every dessert spot and filled her stomach one last time before having to control her diet.  After a few days later, she'll have to start training hard to become a top actress and to build herself an empire to take revenge on them.

The rest of her days were filled with learning her script for the audition and familiarizing herself to the trends, to the industry world and connections as well as the social circle, During the night, her schedule would be filled with contests. 

She ended up winning each and every contest she applied to, making her fake name, Black Tiger, known for his multiple talents in the underground world. 

When a contest was labeled as part of the underground world, it doesn't necessarily mean that it was a very bad thing. The competition would be labeled from the underground world because it wouldn't be an official match, the money would only be given in cash and the participants could also hide their real identity. The underground contest was an unofficial match because it would be produced regularly and most of the organizer were rich people trying to stay unanimous while entertaining themselves by watching the competitions. Basically, the underground contest had more freedom and people liked that concept.   

From knowledge to singing to dancing, to music, to dart shooting, to precision, to force and to technology, Black Tiger would always excel and would always bring home with him a huge amount of money. Ting Mei never chose her competition, she would simply follow the contest that was planned every night and tried to do all of them while ignoring fighting contest.

All the competitors were frustrated, they have learned about him through friends that participated in various different categories specializing in one of them. But who would have thought that a dude would suddenly appear and win all the contest, winning an unimaginable amount of money in total? 

However, they were not stupid, it was just that Ting Mei was too smart and too talented. They tried many times to ambush her, to beat her up or to track her and find her weakness but they were never able to catch her. After a week, Black Tiger had already disappeared and no one could find her anymore, leaving them in peace to win other contests. Fortunately for her, Black Tiger was only present for one week, so her name shouldn't spread and bring her bad luck in the future. 

Actually, after only a week, Ting Mei already accumulated enough money to buy herself a villa not far from the big city and from Fen Hua's villa and also got some spare cash in the end so she didn't need to continue competing. 

She bought an extremely huge villa from an extremely rich person who set a soaring price but Ting Mei was still able to buy it. 

" Do you really have to move out so fast? How did you even won so much money? Are you sure you don't want any help?" cried out Fen Hua as she sent Ting Mei off.

" I can't depend on you too much and I'm not that far away! Fen Hua, you have already done so much for me and I am already very happy but this battle is mine and I have to do it on my own. Thank you for everything you've done for me, I'll visit you soon and also thank you for the clothes!" cheered happily Ting Mei as she hugged her best friend one more time before climbing on her motorcycle to follow the moving truck.

" Bye!" waved goodbye Fen Hua before stepping back into her home.

" I know this fight is yours to do but please, please don't push yourself too hard and please ask for help this time if you need it! Please..." trembled Fen Hua's eyelashes as she closed the door.

After a few days later, Ting Mei completely filled her house with top-notch quality items of furniture, she was not really a fan of rare items but she did like having a cozy and clean house. When she finally finished moving in, it was already the time for her audition.

" I saved her and she stabbed me in the back. "4 years later Ting Mei finally comes back to Korea with nothing more than her pride and her dreams. Ting Mei will reach her goal easily with her talents. Who said that? No one likes her, who will help and not hurt her? Actually, there is her only best friend, her grandfather, her brother and him. Actually, him, he is just very clingy.

Julian arrived at Sunyshore gym once again and as he expected the battle between Ash and Volkner had already begun, when he walked in he realized that the battle was already about to end, both Ash and Volkner are at their final pokemon.
While Ash is battling along with his Pikachu, Volkner has his partner Raichu, the battle was about to end.
Julian 'I didn't expect the battle was about to end so early'
He thought and sat down and watched the battle, after using several combinations and counter-attacks against Volkner's Raichu Ash's Pikachu finally got the win earning himself his eight badges, now he can participate in the upcoming league.
Even though the league is still not near, it's better to finish all the gym challenges so he can train for the league and grow even stronger.
Julian remembers that there will be a very strong opponent during the league, its been a very long time since Julian watched pokemon in his previous world, everything was hazy but there are few key things he still remembers, such as some of the legendary pokemons, and some main characters that were related to the story in some way that impacted the story a lot. 
Julian 'I wonder how strong he will be once the league starts. If I remember correctly, there should be a trainer who has a Darkrai with him, I wonder how strong he is compared to Cynthia and the others, I wonder'
Julian thought, he had remembered watching a man with Darkrai who had dominated the whole league along with his Darkrai, it was only Ash who was able to take it down which led to that man revealing his second pokemon and that too was a legendary pokemon, Latios.
Julian has never fought a trainer with a legendary pokemon so he is a little excited to meet this man.
But before he does that he needs to defeat Volkner, destroy Cyrus and rescue Uxie, he felt helpless when it came to Cyrus, this man had many connections and has easily escaped.
While Julian is influential he doesn't have connections like Cyrus, he has money and strength to challenge anyone but connections were the only thing he was lacking.
The reason behind this is because he doesn't stay in a single place for a long time, to make connections he needs to settle down and slowly build relations with the influential people of this world.
Julian saw Volkner handing over a badge to Ash, Ash soon left with his friends, they didn't even notice Julian because he didn't stand out, he was at the corner watching the battle carefully, but it didn't mean he has gone unnoticed, Volkner noticed Julian sitting at the corner.
He has been handling this gym for years so he got an awareness of everything that happened here.
Volkner raised his brows as he looked at Julian in surprise, he had seen this person yesterday, he was watching Ash and Flint battle, Volkner didn't mind it yesterday as anybody was free to see a battle being held in a gym.
Not many people come twice a day to watch someone battle, so Volkner thought that this man might be a challenger as well and he was right, once Ash left Volkner saw the man looking at him.
Volkner "Are you a challenger as well?"
He asked.
Julian "I am, can you continue or should I come tomorrow?"
He asked. 
Since Volkner has already battled Ash, his pokemons would be weak and not in great condition.
Volkner "I would prefer for you to come tomorrow, my pokemons need rest"
Volkner said and apologized.
He was not used to trainers challenging him one after the other so he asked Julian to come tomorrow, with his reputation, not man trainers came to challenge him, most of them would give up in the middle when challenging the gyms.
The ones who challenged him were ace trainers who understood pokemon battles and these types of trainers were very little.
This can be proven by the number of people that participate in the pokemon league, in a huge region like Sinnoh only a few hundred trainers are finally qualified to participate in the league out of the thousands that started their journey, some give up in the middle of their journey and some find other interests like pokemon contests, becoming pokemon doctors, breeders and any other occupation that is related to pokemons.
Julian decided to come tomorrow as he understood Volkner, trainers like Volkner are young so they don't have extra pokemons they could use during gym challenges, any trainers who want to challenge him right after he had a battle will have to wait.
Julian "I will come tomorrow again, I hope I can get a battle I am looking for"
Julian said and left without looking back.
Volkner "What does he mean by that, but he sounds very confident, Ash was a strong opponent and my pokemons are in bad condition right now or I would have allowed him to battle me, looks like I have to wait as well"
He said and looked at Julian who just walked out of his gym.
Volkner "I have a feeling that tomorrow's battle will be a big one, I have to prepare a strong team"
He said and walked away as well, for some reason he felt pressured in front of Julian, this feeling he hasn't felt for ages had finally come back and he wanted to see how strong this man really is.
Julian went to the nearest pokemon park and called out his pokemons since he is going to have them battle tomorrow they should warm-up.
Julian "All of you, have a mock battle with your partners and limit yourself, this is public property"
Julian said and took a seat on a bench nearby and watched him pokemon battle each other, they didn't use any powerful moves in their exchange.
Julian 'Who should I use tomorrow?'
He thought and racked up his brain, the most experienced fighter in his team is his Garchomp followed by Victini, Manaphy, and Crystal, Crystal being forth because it is busy being mischievous and attacking itself to Julian every second of the day.
Julian 'I think Togekiss, Luxray, and Gliscor will do, they need the most experienced, this battle will do, once this is done I will have some extra time to polish them as well'
He thought and nodded his head in satisfaction.

A war veteran and an anime fan as well, he got into anime by watching it with his grandson after his retirement, his grandson loved pokemon and so did he also came to like this world of pokemon where people didn't kill each other and people used to have fun with there pokemon, after watching Pokemon with his grandson and playing with him all day he got back his childhood which he could never experience due to the cruel war, and as of now our MC has turned 82 years old he was very satisfied with his life with no regrets and waiting for death to take him away but will death be is end or will it start a new beginning, a new legend.

The next morning, both of us were very eager to start the journey. Before we could leave, mother had a word with me. "I know you are a young lady already, but be careful. I got you a few things, especially the plants for Turry. You will need loads, but hopefully this will be enough. Other than that, take this with you too", she handed me a spatial bag full of plants, and a few bottles of Serelis. "I know you don't need to use it anymore, but it's better to have it than not… You should have enough food for the journey…", she added. "I know mom, don't worry. I have everything with me… No matter what, I will make it back before my birthday. I want to spend it with you mom… I love you", I said and hugged her. She kissed my forehead and wished me a safe journey.

This was the first real trip without my mother. A trip to a distant place, not Apium which was only a day away from us. I waved mother goodbye one last time, then left with Tara and others. "We will have so much fun! We can also get together with Dawn, I'm sure this trip will be great!", Tara exclaimed. I smiled, "Of course! It's the first time I get to go somewhere so far away. Although we have to return before my birthday. For one, you already told me about the party, but more importantly, I want to spend it with my mother". Tara laughed but didn't comment. Even though we just left, I had a great feeling about that trip. For the first time, I felt independent and free in a way. Not that mother imprisoned me, but living for a while without her watching my every step... Was refreshing for sure.

Not much happened during the first few days of our journey, me and tara had some fun while the two Atol warriors made sure we were safe. On the fifth day, we encountered some small problems. During one of our stops, I noticed some movement in the distance. "Guys, there's something moving over there", I said while pointing in the distance. The two warriors took a look, then ordered us to get back on our Tauruses immediately. "Tara! You and Anna leave first. We will catch up after defeating the Scrambler", one of the warriors said. Tara nodded and urged me to follow her. Fortunately, the Scrambler was far enough, it would never catch up with us. Though I was worried for the two warriors we left behind. "Don't worry about them. They are warriors, they will return", Tara calmed me down. 
We stopped after losing the warriors and the scrambler. "Will they find us?", I asked. "Of course, they will be able to get here no problem. You worry too much, they are warriors", she replied. Tara wasn't wrong. The warriors caught up to us after about half an hour, though they had some injuries. "I have medicine with me", I said while trying to retrieve some. "Please don't, we have medicine. These scratches are nothing to worry about. We are glad you two are fine", one warrior replied. "Alright, but let's take a rest. We can eat something in the meantime", I proposed.

"Was that Scrambler strong?", Tara asked curiously. "A bit strong, but we managed to take care of it. It was two versus one, so we had a clear advantage. They are fast though, this is something to remember for the future", a warrior replied. "How about I place some Formations around our camp, before we go to sleep? That would improve our safety, right?", I proposed. "We wouldn't dare to ask you", the warrior replied. "Why not? We are travelling together, and you need rest as well. If I can help with my Formations, then why not help?", I replied. They finally agreed, but seemed sceptical. 'I will show you, hehe', I thought.

When we stopped to set up our overnight camp, I went to work. My intention was to create a sort of wind blast Formation. The Formation would activate as soon as something or someone stepped on it, then the blast of wind would push them away and make loads of noise. There was no way two warriors could sleep through such commotion. This required at least six large Formations, which took quite a bit of time. With the last Formation placed and supplied with energy, I invited the warriors over.

"Step on it", I said with a chuckle. The two warriors looked at each other, shrugged and both decided to step on it. "Swoosh!", both of them got blasted away and crashed into the ground. "Not bad eh?", I added with a smile. The two warriors' faces were priceless, they didn't know how to respond. "Don't take Anna too lightly. Her looks might be deceiving, but she is a little devil on the inside", Tara said. "You have problems with my looks?", I asked, annoyed. "A figure of speech…", she replied. I just didn't want to travel with my mother, there was no freedom in that. 'Hopefully Tara or Dawn will be there to accompany me in the future', I thought.

To pass the time, I sparred a few times with Tara and the warriors. It was really uncommon for female Atols to become warriors. Tara was an exception, though she wasn't considered a warrior. She grew up with them, practiced with them but that was pretty much it. Though there were no rules preventing her from becoming a warrior, it was a sort of tradition or custom for only male Atols to become warriors. Tara didn't care about that though, she learned how to fight anyway. She was even stronger than some warriors her age, hence they treated Tara more like a boy than a girl. She was brash and rude sometimes too, therefore not that far off anyway.

Tara carried a spear but her weapon of choice were her fists. When I asked her why? She said, "Because beating people up with my fists feels much better". She even gave me a demonstration during one of our stops. "Hey, see that Dead Tree over there?", she asked. "Yea, what of it?", I replied, confused. Tara walked over to the tree, and began punching it. The tree shook back and forth, until it snapped in half. "See, my fists are this strong", she proclaimed smugly. I scratched my head and found another Dead Tree. "Swoosh!", I slashed my sword while activating the Formation. "Bam!", the tree got sliced in half then slammed into the ground. "Doesn't seem too hard", I said looking back at Tara.

"Oi, oi! You cheated! Using a Formation? How is that your strength?", Tara complained. "Well, I had to study Formations for many years, so I think it's not cheating at all. Formations are part of my strength, but alright. Let me try without Formations this time, happy?", I replied. Tara seemed satisfied, and even bet I couldn't do it. "Hoh? What do you want to bet?", I asked. "... I don't know. How about if you lose, I get to ride Turry all the way to Sedon?", she replied. "Heh? What if I win?... Actually, there is something. Mother gave me a note, which said to go see uncle Crow in case I needed anything. Since I don't have any money or anything like that, you will pay for me instead. How about that?", I asked.

"Huh? You don't have money? Haha... Alright, fine. If you cut down the Dead Tree with your sword, WITH NO FORMATIONS, I will pay for you", Tara said full of confidence. I smirked, and walked up to a Dead Tree not far away. "Graah!", "Swoosh!"... "Bam!". My hands felt the hardness of that tree. I used every last bit of strength to deliver that cut, and I barely managed it. "There you go. No Formations, my pure strength alone and within one swing", I said smugly, even though my hands trembled. Tara's face changed, but she conceded defeat. "Alright, you won. To think you were this strong already… Fine, whatever. I lost, so I will pay for you… Just don't overdo it, I'm not wealthy you know?", she said. "Oh, I will get a few bits and pieces only, shouldn't cost too much", I replied with an evil grin. "Where did you learn to be so evil, Anna?", Tara almost cried. "From mother", I said with a smile and mounted Turry. "We can go now guys", I added.

The warriors laughed quietly, while Tara climbed atop her Taurus silently. Of course I wouldn't try to spend a lot of her money, I just wanted to tease her. That worked really well, which made me even happier. Though this was a surprise in itself. The Dead Threes were really hard, cutting one down required a lot of strength. 'Still, Tara was able to do it with her bare hands… Just how much strength does she have?", I asked myself.

The days slowly passed, and Tara's mood came back to normal. We were only a few days away from Sedon, which was  good news. I was getting tired of the Wilderness. "Hey Tara, what do you want to do once we get there?", I asked. She gave it some thoughts before replying, "We can visit the Sedon's Stage. There will be some performances there, and there are even contests sometimes. If we are lucky, we might get a chance to take part in one… Other than that, we can hang out with Dawn if she's around. I'm sure she will have more ideas than me". "Heh? What sort of contests does Sedon have?", I asked, intrigued.

"Usually singing or performing contests. The Arena in the Land of Sands is the most prestigious though. So don't expect great rewards from these contests. I never saw any rare pets or good prizes. It's mostly for entertainment", she replied. The prizes didn't matter much to me anymore, but singing and performances were not my thing. "Other than that, I have to meet with master Ama. You can come along if you want", Tara added. "Sure, I'd like to meet her too", I replied with a nod. My first real adventure wasn't very exciting, but it was an experience nonetheless. At that stage, I wanted any experience I could get.

POSITIVE REVIEW :

I must admit to not expecting too much when I started reading this. It felt like it would be your standard transmigration novel. And it certainly is in most ways. There's a cheat ability of some kind given the MC, there are tons of people who underestimate him and use any chance to belittle him, etc.
However, what I find sets it apart is its humor, the attitude of the protagonist and the side characters. The people that spout nonsense at him are very quickly subdued, usually in very funny ways. Most of them usually quickly understand that he is better than what they assumed and go on to respect him (unless you are one of the more dense main "antagonists") for what he displays, rather than go on for chapter after chapter of chastising him without the MC revealing his hand.
Other novels of this kind I end up just quickly scrolling through chapters to get to the good part where the protagonist proceeds to the face-slapping. Library of Heaven's Path has lots of minor face-slapping incidents that build up to the BIG face-slapping incident that I just finished. It's glorious.

Okay, this novel has good and bad points.

Good points:

Characters (at least initially) seem interesting

Having the protagonist as a teacher seems like a novel idea

A somewhat light tone and some comedic situations are peppered between the face-slapping contests

Translation was good

Bad points:

Characters are pretty shallow and fill very few types of stereotypes:
 The "you-dare?!" type of misfit who was born to oppose MC in every action
 The "hmmph!" snob woman whose beautiful complexion enchant everyone but MC
 Side characters who are despise the MC but as he opens his mouth then they become speechless
 Students who have been miraculously cured and now have their cultivations soaring the heavens

Stupid MC who has everyone jerking him off because oooh he's so good ahh so smart... But he has ZERO merits as his knowledge is obtained via a cheat. The worst part? He thinks he's the shit.

His teachings are stupid as his cultivation. There's no wisdom, it's like you're learning skills from a game's NPC. There's no development, no bad aspects, he just writes a book that makes his student become the shit. like he think he is.

When there isn't anyone jerking him off, then it's time for the face slapping. And the face slapping isn't as fun as Emperor's Domination as ED's MC at least put effort into his cultivations, share some wisdom and treasures to his followers but no, in this novel you'll see stupid people throwing their faces into MC's face. And the worst part is that everyone is so senseless stupid, I can't believe a society with only half-brained people can be formed like this. There is no common sense, no sense of politics or intrigue. No, my name is Misfit-48, you stepped on my toe, prepare to die! *gets destroyed*

Really, this is like the author read Martial World, Against the Gods, I'm really a Super Star, Ancient Strengthening Technique, Sovereign of the Three Realms and Anciently Godly Monarch, put them into a blender and put into a plate that was a school. I don't say this novel is worse, but it isn't any better than any of the previous mentioned ones.

As you can notice I wrote more about the bad points than the good ones. Well, that's because this isn't a very good novel. Read this while you're in the toilet cultivating.

Near the theme park, Sui Xiong had already prepared a combat field: dozens of independent rings, in coordination with a large amount of audience space, and temporary residences that were packed liked bird cages. All of this was not only to provide the basic living for the contestants, but also to show them the Void Mask Church's capability and confidence.

The winner of my prompt was a book that is now on hiatus. No other entries qualified. At the time I didn't realize that having votes was the rank qualifier. So my book was instantly disqualified.
Despite not making it past the car park, so to speak, I kept this story going. I had moved it to Wattpad and continued to post chapters there.
I entered it into a Wattpad community award, and had eventually won the award for Historical Fiction, but never received the prize for it. 😆
That's okay. Knowing that my writing was enough to be a winner in a judge's eyes was cool. It won over some quality stories as well. That was a prize enough for me.
After some time, I started posting the story to Tapread where it picked up read interest there. Then I got a ping from Islinda who liked the lone chapter I had left on the book page.
