Anna's grandfather with a smug look on his face, believing he was in control, started to speak again "As to the application for an order against my daughter by my granddaughter, that is totally unnecessary.  She is rarely in the country, and as she has already said she and her husband have bodyguards, and they can protect her against any imaginary threat from my loving daughter.  The same applies to my granddaughter-in-law.  From what my daughter says, they both are rude and disrespectful to her, and their actions have destroyed the marriage that was the centre of her life.  Why should the court waste time and money on something that is completely unnecessary.  As to the order regarding her husband, I was with her when the situation occurred that resulted in that being made.  My son-in-law refused to allow her to speak or try and save their marriage and her comments were directed at his actions there, not specifically a threat to her.  She agreed to the order simply because she believed it was necessary to try and save their marriage.  It is again unnecessary."
Anna, sitting their listening to what was coming out of her grandfather's mouth could not believe him.  As soon as he finished Anna stood up "Your Honour, while my sister-in-law and myself do not live permanently in Australia, as significant portions of our family are here we will be spending periods of time here.  My husband and I intend, subject to business commitments to spend four to six weeks a year at a minimum here let along times we are here for business purposes.  My brother and sister-in-law intend to do the same.  The orders are necessary to protect us here, because as she has already demonstrated by turning up to a private ceremony that she was not invited to, she does not respect the court.  The same for my grandfather.  As to my father, the changes that are sought are reasonable."

Anna quickly turned to the police prosecutor and after a discussion she stood up, and said "Our preliminary view is that it will take at least a day, possibly two days."
Before the Magistrate could say anything, her grandfather stood up and said "More likely three to four days.  As I said these orders are driven by the religious hatred that my granddaughter, granddaughter-in-law and son-in-law have.  We need to put that information before the court.  And no orders are necessary."
Slightly shaking his head, the magistrate said "I understand that neither defendant's want the orders in place.  The existing orders will stand, and as there is an infant involved the order for Mrs Hou against Mrs Meredith Jones is necessary, regardless of how long they are in the country and when they are next in the country.  Mrs Hou, when you are coming into the country you need to let your mother and grandfather know at the address that appears on the order.  Mrs Alecia Jones, you need to do the same.  Can the court staff indicate how long of a wait for a three-day contested hearing?"
The court registrar said "The earliest available time is October for three straight days"

In less than ten minutes, the Uber driver pulled up on the sidewalk. Alan confirmed the person's car license and the driver's name before waving to Lin Que. He helped Ginny place her luggage into the trunk of the car. When she was getting into the vehicle, he placed his hand between the ceiling of the car and her head in case she hits herself.
As Ginny entered the backseat, she noticed his caring action. She smiled and quickly settled in the vehicle. Almost immediately after she got in, Alan also followed from behind. Once the Uber driver drove off, Lin Que entered Jiang Corps' address in the GPS and asked his assistant to drive.
On their way to her company, he saw the concerned look on her face. Reaching out, he rubbed the crease between her brows and massaged in a circular motion until it was gone. "Don't worry. If something big happened, your assistant would've emailed you about it or called your international number."
She took a deep sigh as she attempted using her phone again. Once the black screen brightened up and the notification screen showed, Lin Que took the phone away from her again. This time, he turned her phone on the airplane mode.
Lily asked, "What are you doing?"
He explained while helping her remove certain apps from her home screen.
"The problem with your phone is the spams in the apps you have installed. In the airplane mode, all wireless connections are turned off. You can uninstall the apps from your phone from here and remove the spam. The messages through Snapchat and some apps might be gone, but the ones in your text messages, messenger, Line should be saved. This way, you can reinstall after switching back to regular mode and read the messages."
Lin Que chose to uninstall the apps that he knew would save the chat messages first. Then, he looked at Lily and asked her for permission in reinstalling the other apps. "Are you alright with me uninstalling the rest of these apps with the risks of losing all your data? The pictures from your photo album should remain saved on your phone."
"Sure. As long as my phone functions properly after this, then I'm fine with what you have to do." Lily quickly answered as she focused on her phone. After everything was done, he switched her phone back to normal.
"Here, try it now. It should work." Lin Que handed the phone back to her.
"En." She took the phone and clicked into a random app. This time, the apps worked smoothly and everything returned to normal. "Wow! My darling is so smart!!!" She wrapped her arm around his shoulder and leaned in for a kiss.
Before she could check the messages on her phone, the assistant interrupted and announced that they've arrived at Jiang Corps. Lily gave Lin Que a quick peck on the cheeks before getting out of the car.
She waved her hand by the window and thanked the assistant for dropping her off. After exchanging a quick farewell, the assistant looked back at Lin Que with a confused expression.
"What is it?" Lin Que asked.
"Um, Miss. Jiang forgot to take her luggage with her. Mister Lin, do you want to bring it up to her office before we leave?" The assistant reminded him about their luggage.

Taking a deep breath, Lily took out her phone and started checking the messages she missed. Normally, not many people would message her, especially leaving these many messages. Hence, she started reinstalling the apps and opening them to read the messages.
Her hunched back quickly straightened when she saw the name on her screen. "Meng Meng." Before reading the loads of messages, she decided to search through the apps that had many unread messages to confirm her thoughts. After a few minutes, she scoffed. "Jiang Meng Meng, exactly what are you up to now?"
When she scrolled up hundreds of messages, she realized the files delivered to her end were nearly identical. Some messages were slightly changed in terms of wording, but that was all there were. After going through three apps and recognizing the content sent to her, Lily rubbed her temples.
"Just what the hell is this? Huh? What does her having an engagement have to do with spamming me? What's her logic? The hell? All these messages were from her." Lily muttered complaints as she randomly scrolled down the long messages. Her eyes felt dry from staring at the screen for a minute due to the excessive bright colored files screenshotted to her.
Two knocks took her attention away from the bright screen. She said, "Come in."
Shannel took a minute or two to fully open the office door. She apologized for her tidiness as she slowly carried five bags of colorful — neon — envelope cards. The assistant panted as she informed Lily where these envelopes came from. "Miss. Jiang, these invitation cards were from your cousin, Miss. Jiang Meng Meng."
Staring at the stashes of cards, Lily could literally see half a forest of trees chopped down and shredded. "I got it. Thank you. You can leave the bags there and I'll move it myself. Can you give me the most recent one she sent?"
"Here. This is the one she sent yesterday afternoon." The assistant handed her a neon green colored envelope with a matching colored card inside of it. She took a small peek inside the envelope and saw a distasteful color.

The first time was a coincidence.

The first time they met, they were both cosplaying at an Anime Convention. Coincidentally, she was Usagi Tsukino, and he happened to be Tuxedo Mask from the anime, Sailor Moon.

"This is what people like your Mummy's parents, who were consumed by grief and blaming the military for what happened do not understand. Those deaths, both military and civilian changed many things for this country. In the military, it changed how people were promoted. Unless you are in a specialised area, that if you did the job as a civilian that requires specialist qualifications, like a Doctor, Nurse, Engineer, or a Lawyer, you cannot become an officer without having spent time in the troops. They want you to understand what it is to be a soldier before you have a position of command over them."

"Speed demons?" came the question from Dominic who had a confused expression on his face.
Matthew paused before saying, "Dominic, in this case it means someone who likes travelling fast. You know how your Mummy has all those cars she barely lets me drive, has banned your Uncle Chester from using at all, and after the last time he borrowed one has also banned your Uncle Andrew from using."
"I love Mummy's collection and cannot wait until I get a chance to use them."

"Not now, but once the Doctors say that it is OK for you to do so. Presently your medical treatment is most important thing, and we will talk about this later."
"You better keep that promise Mummy."
Sensing that Dominic was receptive, Matthew continued "We have gotten slightly distracted from our conversation Dominic, but I will promise you that I will make sure that promise is kept, once the Doctors tell us that it is OK for you do to that. But I think I might get approval from your Doctors to be able to take you up in a special flight where you can go at speed before you may be able to do that driving."
"Bribing him?"
"Lexi, never. If he is going to love speed, it will be something that he can do now, pending medical approval for the other."
Dominic, however excited at this said, "How soon can we do that?"
"We will have to wait until the doctors say that I can take you for that flight. Once they say I can, then I will organise it. Not before, and not against your doctor's advice."
"That is not fair. I want to go now."
"Now, Dominic? Even if you did not have Leukemia, I still must get permission to do this. That takes a few weeks to organise. So, you must be patient, but it will happen as soon as it can be arranged."

Reinesse: Idk how to still write when I'm at school. The end of our class is like 4 pm
then curfew for dorm is like 7pm, so if there's practice, three hours practice. Then we'll pass our gadgets by 9 pm. I only have two hours enough for one chapter, but i also have a job so basically goodbye novel. Speaking of job, I've lazed too much.

Rianolinon: Dorm? Wot? U get dorms in high school?

Reinesse: Yep.

Rianolinon: We don't.

Reinesse: Because it's like a regional school, and my actual home is like far away.

Mr. McGuffin: We lucky to have a classroom at my school. Damn hurricane.

Rianolinon: I wake up at 5, go to bus at 6:45. First class starts at 7:30, school ends 2:30. Get home at 3 sleep at like…2:00 am.

Reinesse: Monday, 7:15 is the flag ceremony. One time i only finished doing my stuff by 7:14, but i still haven't wore my socks or buttoned my uniform, so i literally ran towards the flag ceremony while buttoning my blouse.

Rianolinon: Rein, wat about the males? 

Reinesse: Then when i reached the court, it was the only time I wore my sock.

Rianolinon: Rein, this isn't anime.

Reinesse: I have sando underneath.

Rianolinon: This isn't anime rein. You don't wear your socks at court, you wear them before u go.

Reinesse: I did. *blob derp emoticon*

Mr. McGuffin: What the heck?

Reinesse: I read a lot but my reading speed is still 10 words per second.

Rianolinon: ...… You read 600wpm? Wtf? Are u even human?

Reinesse: It's normal according to google for readers to gain such speed after a period of time.

Rianolinon: Oh, really I don't even know.

Mr. McGuffin: I do not know my words per min.

Reinesse: @Rianolinon what I did is simple. I read some long chapter of what I'm reading in XYZ-World, timer then copy paste to word.

Rianolinon: I see.

Reinesse: Then divide. *sparkle emoticon*

Mr. McGuffin showed a link to calculate reading speed. 

Mr. McGuffin: I'm a good reader according to this. I read about 325 wpm and had an 82% comprehension.

Reinesse: I hate those type of test they make my speed lower. *blob sad reach emoticon*

Mr. McGuffin: hehe. Did you try it?

Reinesse: The last time i tried 500 wpm 100% comprehension. Lemme try again.

Mr. McGuffin: Okay.

Reinesse: Not exactly 500, but around it. 

Murakami: I read around 400 got 82% comprehension.

Mr. McGuffin: I was not speed reading though. I could probably get faster, but if the questions are similar then It will mess up the comprehension.

Elyon: I'm a slow reader, but I make up for it due to my Sex Appeal. *blob whoa emoticon*

Author's Thoughts

Once again, sorry for the  ̶v̶e̶r̶y̶ late update of WWCG. Some IRL stuff happened that drained me both physically, and mentally. Hopefully, this week would be  ̶l̶e̶s̶s̶ ̶s̶t̶r̶e̶s̶s̶f̶u̶l̶ a better one, so I can stick to my update schedule. 

I would also like to take this opportunity to give praise to the authors like ForeverPupa. They are the authors who do their best to update their chapters even though they're busy with IRL things like work, studies, etc.

I would also like to encourage young writers like Ria  ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶R̶e̶i̶n̶e̶s̶s̶e̶ to be adventurous, and write stories that will help them hone their writing skills. Some of you might ask the question "is it difficult to write a good story?"

The answer to this question may vary depending on who you will ask. If you were to ask me this question a few months ago, my answer would be, "Yes, it's difficult to write a good story."

However, the current me would give you a different answer. Honestly, It's not difficult to write a good story. The difficult part is whether you can actually write it, and persist till the end. 

There are many great stories here in Webnovels, but some of them went to hiatus, and some were dropped. Their authors stopped writing these stories for reasons only known to them. These stories in turn just rot in a corner of the web and was never heard of again.

For me, this is the saddest part of writing a story. So, writing a good story is not actually difficult. The hard part is finishing a book. Of course, the story may not be perfect, some people may call it trash, and some may call it the work of an amateur writer.

Reality is harsh and these words can be hurtful especially for new authors. But, I believe, that those authors who managed to finish their stories and persisted till the end are stronger compared to the rest. 

My journey is still beginning and the finish line is still far from sight. I hope, and pray, that I will be able to finish the stories that I had started. Not only for the sake of my readers, but also for my sake as a writer.

There was a quote from Stephen King that says, "The road to hell is paved with adverbs."

I beg to disagree, my road to hell is paved with tense shifts.
