Rimsence's eyes widened as Zee dugg his fangs deep into his neck, injecting a violent poison into him. 

"What happened to you Zee..?" Those were Mr.Rimsence's last words.

"Zee is sleeping right now.. We won't stand for how you treated us any longer." said Zee in a cocky tone. He took the keys from Rimsence's pocket and unlocked the door. He chuckled, "We're almost free Zee, you will except me soon." He walked out of the room and began to bite everyone in his way. He finally made his escape. When he was outside the laboratory's property he suddenly fell to the ground. Moments later he woke up. He was confused, he had no idea how he got here, but for the first time in his life, Zee saw the outside world. The smell of fresh air flooded his nose. Suddenly, something brushed against his leg. He looked down and saw a dark red snake. 

"Hello." Zee said smiling.

The snake slithered up Zee's leg. "SSsss." The snake hissed. 

Zee continued walking, his bare feet brushing against the grass, his long silver hair gliding in the wind. " I'm free!" Zee cheered and laughed. He ran along a line of bushes, he couldn't stop smiling. 

The red snake clung to his right leg, "SSSssss!" The snake hissed. 

Zee looked down, "Oh sorry. I didn't know you were still here." He sat down and leaned against a bright green bush. Then two more snakes crept out from the leaves. One Yellow with a orange belly and another brown with spots along it's head.   

"Hi!" Zee said with grin plastered on his face. "Are you friends of his?" he asked.

The yellow snake climbed onto Zee's back and around his shoulders. He rested there, his head lying on Zee's head. The brown snake wrapped around his left arm. 

"Do you have names?" Zee asked.

"SSss" The yellow snake shook his head.

"Well, I'll give you names!" Zee said in excitement. "You will be Kaida!" He looked up at the yellow snake. "And you will be Agni!" he said looking at the red snake. "Then your name shall be be" he said turning to face the brown snake, "Zerf!" 

The snakes looked at each other then back at Zee. Kaida slid down his shoulders and into his lap, rising her head to meet with Zee's eyes. She placed her forehead against his.

"Thank you." Kaida said. 

"Your welcome." Zee closed his eyes, with his head against Kaida's, he fell asleep. 

Kaida stood there resting her face on Zee's for another minute or so until she climbed back onto his shoulders. The four of them were asleep, sitting against a bush, vulnerable...

Using her far superior agility from others, she diverted and sliced ​​many enemies, but failed to minimize the Vipers' strength. She tried to enter that crowd, but there were so many people that she was sure that if she dared to penetrate into the enemy's forces, she would be instantly killed. As she deflected the blows, trying to find a way to save Athert, she felt a steady heat, accompanied by a flaming attack coming from her right. It was Elron, who had invested his glowing spear with his enemies, impaling at least 2 people with his weapon.  Soon after, the fire at the tip of the weapon went out, leaving him a bit more exposed attacks.

Gradually, the Vipers' army seemed to be getting smaller, making them approach the leader and the mysterious masked woman, who was standing farther away from the battlefront, along with Athert, who was being held by two bandits.

She managed to overthrow many thieves, and taking advantage of the situation, ran into the enemy forces, surprising everyone, both enemies and allies. She ran even more, frantically snapping her fingers so that she had a weapon in her hand so she could already throw her and explode it again.  However, he began to feel his fingertips ache, and, glancing down, he saw that they were already sore and bleeding as if the impact and the out of the rays were redirected all over his fingers. The girl stood up, determined to end it all. The masked woman looked at her, standing in front of Athert. Then she opened his arms.

Athert reacted, trying to free herself from the strong grip of the guards to help the girl, who was no longer moving.

The woman came out of the smoke, unlike what she was before. Her hands were now covered with green scales, which extended to his now exposed forearms. In the upper part of the hands, two blades in each of them, dripping poison without stopping. Releasing a wrist from outside, the snake was thrown away, crossing many yards that were there. At that moment, the fox turned, staring at Emma directly.

Fan boy was scared shitless. I could tell. I was fine though, I watched from three branches higher.

"Not. bad. at. all," a now deeper voice coming from Evil Reincarnated enunciated.

"He's a Sound Nin!"

"He's a man!"

Uchiha and I looked at each other. And to think our compatibility was only rated 47%.

Partner briskly jumped onto my branch. I never seen him so fast before.

And before I could even process it, Sasuke climbed ahead of me, leaving me covering the end, Snake Man hot on my tail.

[Mother fucker. How dare he jump onto my branch and outrun me.]

A wet tentacle-like object wrapped around my ankle and yanked me to the floor. I looked down and saw that the tentacle-like object (commonly referred to as tongue) extended nearly fifteen yards.

"Sasuke!" Orochimaru screamed in ecstasy, much to my utter distaste.

The psycho's head suddenly detached from his body with unbelievable elasticity and locked onto Sasuke as its final point of destination.

Sasuke knew he was coming for him, and so he pivoted to run, but he was dragging his bad leg. The monster would reach him before he had the chance to reach the end of the branch.

Focusing all my strength, I propelled myself forward until I was within range and threw the only senbon I could reach from my pocket.

It pierced through the back of Sasuke's calf just in time for his unexpected fall to dodge the cursed bite specially prepared for him.

Just then, the unforecasted storm called Naruto struck and hurled a kunai into the snake's bottomless mouth pit. If it weren't for Orange's outrageous appearance, Uchiha probably would have been successfully bitten.

A furious Orochimaru retreated back thirty feet or so, but didn't stop there. With the still functioning part of his tongue, he swaddled Naruto and lifted his shirt. My eyes widened as he mercilessly jabbed Fox Boy in the gut and a new seal formed next to his already tattooed belly.

After branding Orange, he tossed his motionless body aside to die.

[Shit. He'd never survive the fall from this high.]

I, with my once unmatched speed, launched myself at Naruto and caught him. He was still breathing. Gently placing him down, I felt a shiver run down from my spine. As I turned to see, I was too late.

The sound of a painful bite echoed through the forest and the black birds perched on the tree flapped away.

'Oh so he's Shenron! Goku told me about some magical snake that can grant wishes but you got to collect these orange ball thingies, called….what we're they? Oh yeah dragon balls. Sounds kind of fruity to me but Goku insisted on that they were orange orbs so I chose to believe him.' 
"What's the offer," Daikon asks. "Another universe in another time and span is unstable and needs someone like you to help bring it to balance," Shenron states.
'Hmm,' Daikon thinks to himself, 'Another universe huh, needs me to help it.'
"Why should I help," Daikon finally answered. "Because it is your destiny," Shenron answered back. 
"My "destiny" huh, eh no thanks, I'll be going, got a meal to finish." Daikon walks away waving back at Shenron.
Shenron was flabbergasted. He couldn't believe that the saiyan just turned down his offer. 
'Those saiyans are just selfish barbarians, they think of no one but themselves and what can benefit them. I guess I need to "convince" him to go.'
"Wait. There will be new foods there to try," Shenron said. Daikon stops and you could see that his ears have perked up. "And verrryyyy strong enemies to fight too. If you go, your limits will be tested and your belly full," says Shenron caressing Daikon.
A mischievous smile came over Daikon's face. He turns around and heads back. "Well you've got my attention." 
Shenron laughs to himself on the inside. 
'All too easy. Now since I hooked him, I'll just reel him on in.'
"What I've said is true and much more. Money, women, powerrrr," Shenron hinted to Daikon.
Daikon had a war going on inside.
'Should I go? I mean this sounds almost too good to be true. I mean new foods and strong enemies? Who am I kidding, there are already plenty of strong people that I haven't fought yet. I mean I still want a piece of that Jiren guy that supposedly almost defeated Goku. But…. A new place to conquer does sound nice. If I can conquer this place and then travel back, I can rub it in Vegeta's stupid face. "Haha I can rule a planet with people but you can barely take care of your wife!" I'll say.' 
Daikon silently giggles to himself. "I accept," he says.
Shenron smiles on the inside. "Good, also, one last thing, once you go, there's no coming back.

Daikon eyes flutter open. "Ugh where the hell am I?" 
He sits up and looks around. 
'I seem to be in some sort of room of sorts.' He gets up from the bed he's laying on and heads to the curtains. 
He peels back the curtains and finds himself looking, from the edge of the woods, a giant city in front of him. 
"Whoa! What the hell!" Daikon jumps back and trips over his on feet. 
'This place looks freaky. I don't know know about this.'
He looks down.
'What the flying f*ck! What happened to my feet!' 
Daikon sees that his feet are tiny. He sticks his hands out in front of him and shrieks. 
"My hands!" He then touches his face. Fear grips Daikon and he runs to the nearest mirror. 
He falls to his knees as his strength leaves him. "I've been t-turned into a f*cking CHILD!" Daikon looks at himself. Same spikey black hair, same black eyes, just little him everything thing else. His gi ha also disappeared and he's wearing a light blue short sleeve shirt with khaki shorts and has some kind of white tap around his shins and weird looking shoes with the toes showing. 
"Shit!" Daikon punches a wall nearby and it collapses. "Tch, surprised that didn't destroy that side of the house." 
Daikon thinks for a moment then gets himself in a power up stance. "Haaaaaa!" Daikon begins powering up but then stops. "Damn it! I can only power up a little bit! Did that stupid magic snake take my super saiyan power too!" 
Daikon face grew dark red and he smashes a nearby table. "I'm a f*cking child and I can't go super saiyan, this is great. Damn that snake if I could get my hands on him, I would wear him like a scarf. And to be honest! How old even am I!" 
As soon as those words left Daikon's mouth, a voice spoke behind him. 
"You're eight stupid, now come on we're going to be late for our first day at the academy."

Hey guys, hope you're enjoying the story so far! I got something real quick I need to address. Back in the story where the mc Daikon punched the wall, ok so there is always a huge controversy when it comes to anime and where op characters stack up. So the whole argument where Naurto is more powerful than Goku and vice versa is kind of dumb even though Dragonball is my all time favorite anime and Naurto right there with it, but here's the thing if both worlds where to come together with the information we have for both animes, Dragonball characters would no doubt win in power. Even though some characters in Naurto have the ability to go between dimensions, Dragonball characters can as well, also keep in mind that they can also destroy planets with just a single attack, especially saiyans. Remember when Goku fought Beerus in super saiyan god form. There punches almost caused the universe to split and be destroyed. So I'm this story I will be nerfing Daikon's saiyan powers and buffing some of the Naurto characters to try and even out the field. Keep in mind that also Daikon will still be very powerful, he will be considered very special in this story but he won't be overpowered, this way the Naurto characters have a chance and also gives the characters more development alongside Daikon. The world of Dragonball and Naurto now collide! 

Daikon, a saiyan who is training with heroes Goku and Vegeta along side the angel Whis, is contacted by the magical dragon shenron. Daikon is needed in another world and is asked to go, the catch, he can never return. Even though the thought of never returning seemed ludicrous, the drive of battling against stronger enemies that he’s never faced before drives him to accept the call. He then finds himself in the world of Naurto, the shocking part, he’s been transformed into a 8 year old kid. Daikon now has to learn about this new world and it’s systems and try to survive the times to come. Will Daikon be able to handle the new environment? Will he find love? New rivals? Friends along the way? Many enemies of the hidden leaf want to collect Naurto for the tail beast inside of him. Daikon forms a relationship with Naurto and decides he’ll protect him whatever the cost. Why? Daikon saw something within Naurto that he admired but also pitied. He brought light back into Naurto’s dark world and has shown the hidden leaf who he and Naurto really are. Embark on this journey throughout Naurto with Daikon as a saiyan fights to survive and grow stronger in the strange new world to him.

This story will follow most of the timeline of the events of Naruto. Some events that are in the Naurto series might have just a tweak in it.

The streets of the Cloudian kingdom were empty, only a frightened Davi could be seen running towards the walls that separate the commercial district from the urban one. '' Damal Bli'sagulo, how nice to meet you, how much time do you have left before resting? '' A fully armored knight leaves the house through the front door. His armor was pure black and definitely made from Versa. In his left hand he held a giant spear, the tip being more akin to a shovel than a spear tip.
���' I Go by Davi these days, so does everyone else, nice kick by the way, passed right through the house wall, couldn't feel it coming so it's an absorbing Versa instead of a regular one '' Still faced down he can't help but say out loud his thoughts ' Thirty seconds… ' He quickly stood up and faced his back against the wall. The Versa in his right hand was glowing intensely already showing what he pretended to do.
'' Hey how about this, they screwed up my execution so I will make you a favor, how about I drown us both by pouring my entire soul into this thi- '' The black knight didn't even let Davi finish his phrase, at the mere threat he pierced his belly using the oversized spear. The speed and force of impact was so strong that the tip came out of the other side of Davi's body, the walls cracked by the impact. Davi holds his own wound barely touching the spear '' Ten seconds '' escapes his breath and the ball in his right hand cracks.
'' Thanks for the help General. ''
The Versa, crackling with power started to so much water in such a rapid pace that the black knight didn't even have time to dodge what came next, a huge amount of water started to triplicate in size damaging the wall even further. The houses next to it were ripped out of their foundations and swept with the waves. From the castle one thing was visible, on the part of the city that was evacuated; a small tsunami was throwing around houses like sand on the beach. Several soldiers were fleeing desperately from the tsunami, many already swallowed by the waves, didn't seem enough water to reach the citizens hid in safety bunkers but surely more than half the commercial district was going to suffer heavy damage. One other thing was concerning, in the kingdom of Cloudian the districts are separated by a height of 100 meters being the Commercial district at the top, followed by the Urban district and last the Military district, if this water breaks the wall that is used to keep people from falling off, then the damage would be catastrophic. This small though was deep in Sir Abruski's heart, who was resting inside the castle, watching the event from a tower. With only one hand available he had to make small sacrifice for his people.
Davi was aware that the wall he's pinned to wouldn't resist for so long, his entire torso petrified didn't allow for any other chance to scape besides this, his only chance based entirely on luck. He couldn't hear anything because of the violent waters but he felt it, the wall gave away and he felt the sensation of falling inside a waterfall, or at least half his body did. All that he could do was hope.
'' Cloud kingdom guardian, White Snake '' a voice, Sir Abruski? A Huge serpentine cloud appeared out of the castle's tower, colliding directly with the ground of the Commercial district. All of the water that was destroying so many buildings was swallowed just by having touched the giant cloud. The Guardian of Cloudian didn't stop there and swallowed the falling water together with Davi; leaving the Commercial district safe and no water to fall onto the Urban District.
' So comfortable ' riding along the back of a giant cloud shaped like a snake, not how he imagine his scape, before it was more like hiding and hope that nobody found him but now, its hoping someone finds him.
At the tower now rests the unconscious's body of Sir Abruski, comfortable in his bed. By his side sat the General, now without its helmet revealed a bubble shaped head, composed of an weird looking liquid, blue in its color with an small orange orb floating around inside.
''  I Hope you get better fast, I need your permission to hunt. ''

His entire life, Davi spent discovering the way of Soul Alchemists, but now he asks himself, what do I want ?

This was because the image changed all of a sudden.
In the perspective of the viewers, the "camera" fell from the sky all of a sudden, until they reached the ground and were at the moment looking through someone's eyes.
There, they saw the crawling Black Serpent only about a hundred meters away, between the fog and the pool. But unlike what they would expect from common human eyesight—just the silhouette of the Black Serpent—the eyes of the "streamer" were of higher definition. It was akin to going from 270p to 720p. They could almost see the gaps between the Black Serpent's ink-like scales.
In front of their "eyes," they saw a large, bronze-colored crossbow with a very showy design. The body of the weapon was almost half a person in length and the crossbow's arms seemed to be made of ox horns.
A bolt had already been loaded on the weapon, while the weapon was aimed right at the Black Serpent which was still slithering toward the pool.
"He's going to—"
The viewers didn't have time to describe the new sight because at the moment the view switched to them—
Click!
The hand holding the bronze crossbow had already released the guillotine.
Whoosh!
The first bolt that looked as thick as a child's arm was unleashed toward the coming snake at lightning speed, leaving a blue flash behind its path. 
It took less than a second for the bolt to cross the distance spanning more than a hundred meters!
Thud!
The bronze bolt made of sturdy material hit the layer of black scales on the Black Serpent.
In fact, it even threw off sparks. The potent kinetic energy drove the bolt through the Black Serpent's scales, penetrating its body.
Only a small length of its tip remained outside, by which time black blood came gushing out from the blood groove rapidly.
"Nice shot!"
Several viewers out of the hundred thousand strong yelled out in awe.
It didn't need elaboration how difficult it was to hit something slithering on the ground from over a hundred meters away;

However, just as it turned its head, a ray of blue light shot towards it once again. It hit the Black Serpent's exposed belly, which would have been clinging to the ground if it hadn't reared its head.

This second shot went completely inside the soft, less-protected belly tissue, leaving a hole as big as half a chicken egg.
"It's actually the legendary repeating crossbow…"
Some of the spectators who knew something about crossbows were shocked.
Crossbows came in a great many varieties throughout Chidragon history, such as the Great Yellow Crossbow used in the Han Dynasty, the Divine Arm Crossbow from the Song Dynasty and the Qin Crossbow from the Warring States era. 
However, the most famous person was undoubtedly the legendary "Zhuge Repeating Crossbow" of the Three Kingdoms period which was purportedly capable of unleashing ten continuous bolts.
However, since this weapon belonged to legends such as the creation of the "wooden ox"—a single-wheeled cart—modern people found it pretty much impossible to reproduce the Zhuge Crossbow that could be used in actual combat.
However, from the first point of view, the crossbow in the person's hand was clearly a fully-functional repeating crossbow. that could be fired continuously.
"But repeating crossbows always have accuracy problems. You can't control the subsequent shots well after the first one. Yet this guy succeeded despite the target being over a hundred meters away!"
"Hiss, hiss…"
While the viewers expressed their surprise, the Black Serpent was still shrieking in pain after getting hit twice. 
It seemed the creature had somehow sensed where the attacks came from. It suddenly lowered its long body to the ground again and swiftly headed to the "camera."

The furious Black Serpent's speed was astonishing. It was like a black shadow as it flew towards the rocks!
The people watching the livestream found it difficult to discern the Black Serpent's figure clearly.
Although the distance between the parties exceeded a hundred meters, there was no doubt that in less than ten seconds, the Black Serpent would be enough to directly pounce on the attacker.
"What's this guy doing? Run already!"
Many viewers felt their hearts racing faster. Several women even subconsciously turned their heads away.

When they saw the attacker continuing to fire and managing to hit the target despite the circumstances, many viewers managed to calm down. All of them wondered who this "professional archer" was.

After being hit by that many bolts, the wounded Black Serpent was on the verge of madness. 
It furiously flailed its head around, opened it maw and bit at a random rock beside it.
The solid rock that had gone through countless scorching summers and violent storms on the high mountain peak, was no weaker than metal in terms of hardness. Yet, it shattered like tofu under the snake's deadly fangs.
Considering the outcome of the hard rock, imagine the bite on a human!
"Terrifying!"
"Hurry up and run. There's no way to kill it."
Worried and covered in sweat, all the viewers cheered and urged the streamer to escape in their minds.
However, the streamer never moved an inch from his original position. Less than a second after the third shot, the next bolt was already flying free, 
which went for the Black Serpent's stomach again; the creature had revealed an opening once again while it was madly chomping the rock.
Whoosh!
The fourth bolt looked much different than the previous ones. 
It had a bright, silver glimmer unlike the previous blue metal. As it traveled farther in the orange light of dusk, it rapidly blended into the environment by taking on a similar hue,
starting from its tip. Then the color expanded toward the rest of its body, until the silver bolt looked almost like a beam of yellowish-red fire!
When the flaming-red bolt's tip collided with the snake's black scales—
Boom!
Instantly, an explosion sounded.
From the connecting point of the bolt, bluish-yellow flames emerged and ignited the serpent's body as if pouring fuel over it.
"Ah!"
At the same time, cries of surprise could be heard from many residential areas and buildings in Yang City.

"What kinda food do you like lady Lili?" Timothy asked as he made sure to keep his distance. 

Based on what happened a few days ago when he first helped someone in need, one would think that Tim wouldn't help strangers anymore. 

But this lady seemed sweet and wasn't asking for anything but food, what trickery could lie behind it? One thing that pulled the boy's heart strings was the fact that this lady was an elderly. 

Who would refuse helping an elderly who wasn't in a favourable state? She's too tired to move which only pointed out that she wasn't able to move enough even before getting this hungry. 

No no, he doesn't sense any scheme behind this lady's words and even managed to filter out the pain behind her tone when she described how this part of the reef was dying. 

"Anything really, but I would appreciate it if you get me clown fish, that's the first meal I ever ate as a juvenile." Hmm well that started humble but the lady couldn't help craving something specific, especially since the stingray was offering options. 

"What a coincidence!" Tim shouted which almost spooked the lady, then he shed light to such shout. "I'm looking for the same thing, want to taste them!" 

"I know where you can usually find them." Lili the sea snake stated and pointed her tail towards the far north. "It's that way." 

Feeling that this was too good to be true, he cited with half a shout after swiftly circling in place. "This is just the universe aligning for me then, because I have business that way and at least now I can remember which way to go." 

Her old lady tone cracked as she slowly described, "I have no idea what this universe is but have fun, you can munch on as many as you like." 

Happy about this big find that would only advance towards completing the task, but yet remembering a key problem, he questioned while wagging his tail lightly. "Do you know Marlo?" 

At this point her happiness screaming volumes, especially since it was projected through her tone, she queried. "Oh so you're his problem solver ha?" 

"Yup, I'm on my way to solve a problem right now actually." Tim expressed but then felt stupid for revealing it and understood why his IQ was 50. 

Revealing what the system wasn't certain off, the sea snake cited. "Oh well then don't worry, clown fish don't like anyone but their selves so much on as many as you can. I'm pretty sure they're evil."

Swimming about 100 meters away from where he spoke with the sea snake, Tim's short field of vision was quickly captured by a clown fish. 

Well it's not big, half of Timmy's size come to think of it but we can't say that it's orange colour didn't stand out in the blue and green coral. 

Terrible camouflage capabilities at best but in this case it proved as a quick lunch for Tim, he felt tad hungry. 

After swimming around 10 meters close to it, Tim swiftly charged towards the prey in question. 

But forgot that his swimming speed was no longer cracked to level 5, that itself still felt hard to comprehend. He had a taste of bigger speed before and lacking it now felt tad tough on the conscious. 

However the point was, the clown fish dashed away and escaped Tim's bone crushing jaws! 

To of which, he couldn't help muffling a cuss. "You little motherfuck...." 

But thankfully the clown fish's speed wasn't so long lasting, it slowed down a few seconds after which allowed the hunter to catch on. 

Munch munch munch. 

Tim ruptured through the clown fish, biting right where the white line stood and getting a bit of that orange too. 

That was enough to bite the prey almost in half, most definitely killed it. To of which Tim celebrated. Now you're dead, evil water slapper!" 

And afterwards made a meal out of the rest of the fish, feeling his hunger satisfy. [Hunger bar = 7/15]

At this point fearful, gratitude was drowned by paranoia as he directly asked the system. "Thanks for the spam, apart from that everything is going too good right now. A shark will bite my ass won't it?"

"Okay." He answered, unwilling to ask any further questions. 

And then put in an attempt to stalk the perimeter, spotted a clown fish about 10 meters away. "Too bad they aren't swimming in groups, I don't want to swim, my fins feel sore already." 

But yet he did swim, charged towards the clownfish and expected it to dash away. 

But this one was far more easy going, until Tim realized that it's asleep. "Sleep at this time of day huh? Bad choice." 

And afterwards he just swooped towards the prey and bashed his tail through the middle of the fish. 

Reason he didn't bite through it, was that clown fish were already small in size and biting through it would leave barely anything for Lili.

"The Hell!? Why am I underwater?"

Pef dragged the precious beast after him, slowly approaching the cabin when his new senses picked up some villagers, stealing maize corns and rummaging the cabin.
Maybe twenty of them, half of them possibly younger than him.
'Damn idiots! The barrier was there to protect you' Pef thought as his pace accelerated.

He reached the cabin just as a couple of men were dragging out his mother, well, the newest mother, out of the cabin.
"What are you people doing?" he asked, just to make sure.
"Get out of here kid. This old sage must have some treasure inside her body" one man muttered, and clumsily tried to slap him away.

'Actually, it's very cogent deduction. Your parental unit does have a high energy artifact inside her. An arrowhead made of crystallized aluminum. Right in her dantian, below the belly.' the glove explained.

"Okay people, you can leave now. Don't come back, before the pyre is out!" Pef replied out loud, while grabbing the man's hand and slowly crushing it in the glove.
The man with the crushed hand began screaming for mercy, or cursing.
The villagers noticed the crazy kid bending a grown man upside-down, and began inching away with some trepidation.
"Run, now! Or I can add more bodies on the pyre..." Pef yelled much louder, and infusing his voice with some qi. The villagers dropped everything and ran away in panic.
"What about me?" the grave robber asked with a pitiful voice.

"Ah, yes. You came to chop up my mother and dig out the treasure, right?" Pef asked sternly.
"I changed my mind!"

"Denied! I can't do this crap, but you volunteered. Take out that bone knife, slice her belly, take out the arrow" Pef demanded in an angry tone.
"Just, just remember, you told me to do it..."
"I know, just start already!" Pef demanded in a cold voice.

A minute later, the man extracted a bloody hand from the corpse, holding a bloody triangle.
'A sapphire?' Pef asked inward, the blue color of the gem being familiar.
'Yes, aluminum charged with spiritual energy.' the glove said.

"What is that gem worth?" Pef asked, just to make sure.

"Can't really say, boy. A thousand gold florins? Maybe more?" the man commented distracted, while eying his bone knife.

Pef tensed, preparing the strike as well.
'Wait. Let him hit you.' the glove demanded according to the Legion manual.
Self-defense was always better.

A second later, the villager yelled demented and struck with the knife directly into Pef's chest. It broke at the hilt, since it was a normal bone.

Both men looked at the broken blade with amazement.
'Now it's self-defense...' The glove explained, as the user hit back, and terminated the intruder.

'Don't bother to lie, glove. They trespassed and robed, and worst: they killed my mother. It was self-defense an hour ago.' Pef muttered in a sad tone.

'They didn't actually...'
'Blood, arrow, knife. Was the patient even remotely revivable?'
'Errrr. A tier 6 entity can still...'
'So, they killed my mother. Case closed. Now, let me arrange a travel pack, and a travois to carry the stove. We need to build a balloon.' Pef proclaimed grandly.

'You want to fly to Lacrimosa City?'
'Of course! It would take me years to traverse 10 thousand kilometers of wild terrain. And likely die during the attempt.' Pef said calmly.

'Huh. There are also flying beasts. The skies are a bit safer, but not completely.'
'And we can drive around them.'

'That's not why...'
'Have you ever been sacrificially burnt on a pyre, my orange glove?' Pef asked in a curious voice.
'Now that my memories are much shorter, I can safely say no!'

'We will fly to Lacrimosa City.' Pef decided in a commanding tone.
'Yes sir!'
And hour later, as the pyre was burning hot and high, Pef realized the other part. 'Why was the arrow still inside?'
'It's a projectile weapon?'

'What would have happened if the arrow was on the pyre, right now, inside her?' Pef asked more to the point.
'Depending on its design and destination...most likely her soul would have been channeled as fuel, to one of this planet tier 1 gods. Attempting to ascend to Perfect Divinity is very costly' the glove explained with a more sober tone.
'Which one?'

'Limited data. Female. Five candidates remaining.'
'So we'll need to find more arrows?'

'Or a live shooter.' the glove said, lying smoothly. The shooter would have divine guidance in any case. This user wouldn't be able to intercept, not at this low cultivation.
'What if we had extracted the arrow before my mom died?' Pef asked curious.

'Unknown. Energy reading indicate we should attempt this at over a thousand kilometers from the nearest city. Fallout and radiation are...'
'Yeah. Nearest city is two thousand kilometers away.' Pef answered with a pained sigh. She was being careful, no doubt about it.

'Sir, once an arming code is acquired, the arrow will self-destruct anyway. Going by the incremental energy spikes, we have about 800 thousand seconds.'
'What's that, ten days, nine days?" Pef muttered out loud, trying to divide the seconds on his fingers. This kind of numbers were hard to do on one hand.
'Yes. We should go skin a snake now' the glove demanded a bit wary.

And so they did.
The badger's claws became his temporary weapon, along with a few longer bones.

Core beasts have pretty good bones, as a random fact. Their skins are also quite decent for making leather armor, on a planet without metals. In fact, they were comparable to bronze in durability.

'Why are you carrying those split stones?' the glove asked as they began skinning the large snake.
'Extrapolate and tell me yourself!' Pef demanded with a wry smile.
'Hmm, ballast for your zeppelin?'
'True, but stones are everywhere.'

'They are rather perfectly split, meaning perfect balance on both sides?'
'True again, but even neolithic hunters can balance rocks with two baskets and a log.'

'The split itself? A lightning strike or some event?' the glove conjectured in a more amazed tone.
'Some event, then a lightning strike.'
'Ah, a Heaven Defying skill. And during the time the formation barrier was up!' the glove concluded after gaining sufficient clues.
'Very good. I split the rock. But I want experts to figure out how.'

'Oh. Oh! A Space Cutting skill. But those are not allowed in any tier 1 universe.'
'Because?'

'Because... I don't know. All tier 5 skills are banned. Maybe they can accidentally translate the user to other universes?' the orange glove said a bit hesitant.
'What about a tier 6 skill?' Pef asked, as he began inflating the brand new yellow zeppelin.
'You could translate universes at will?'
'Really?'
'No idea. Probably not at will. That's why the Legion needs a Captain to deploy safely to a new battlefield.'
'So, how could you tell if this was a tier 7?'
'Don't know. Ask a Captain?'
'I am one. I am asking you!'
'I don't know, sir. And you can't self promote, even with all the inventions. Your superior needs to...'
'I am the only Legion member here. So I say Captain, you say how high!' Pef yelled in his mind.
Captain Pef of the Veritas Legion had a romantic tinge to it. Especially if he could really earn it. One should remember Pef was only a young boy, and dreamed of glory and medals, like any boy of his age.
'How high?' the glove asked confused.
'Maintain altitude ceiling at 3000 meters. And let's test this stove while airborne. Yupee!' Pef proclaimed gloriously while his airship began lifting into the air, powered by hot air.
'Oh my! We are actually flying! On a planet in the neolithic!'
'I know! And I can cook both beaver and snake meat on this stove. While flying!' Pef explained while grilling some meat on the stove, while the hot air rose the snake zeppelin ever higher.
As the glove determined their exact heading and altitude, navigation was not that difficult.
Just hourly checks to confirm the vector, and the glove kept scanning for aerial threats.
Days passed by, as the reptile airship crossed deeper and deeper into beast territory.
'Sir, there's an Earth rank beast ahead. A frog type. They can jump very high'
'ETA on this vector?' 
'70 thousand seconds.'

'And the arrow countdown?'
'80 thousand seconds'

'Perfect!'
'Sir, I must advise you, this is madness!'

'Oh. And doing that while flying too. Using fingers instead of a digital computer.'
'Fingers are digital. Same thing.' Pef pointed out with his digits.
'Nevermind. Neolithic digital. So, any luck?'
'We haven't invented gravity theory, yet' Pef said with a smirk.
'Right'
'Anyway. I can just throw this rock overboard, and measure how long it takes fall...' Pef explained after picking some rock of similar weight to the sapphire.
Then he extended his senses, while the rock fell.
'Height and Altitude?' he demanded as the rock crushed something behind them.
'3000 meters sir. About equal here.'
'Now, what's the safe distance from impact point?'
'For an early stage Core user, with a Legion glove, about 20 kilometers sir.'
'Damn. I am perhaps too brave' Pef considered a bit doubtful.
'Killing an Earth rank should also promote you to Nascent rank. That's how the Legion's method works. The higher you dare...the more you get.'
'I kinda figured that out. But only a Nascent rank? The silly badger gave me my Core'
'So, go and punch the frog to death, sir. It's a perfectly earned Earth rank. Also, another promotion'
'99 percent mortality rate though'
'Indeed sir. Aiming three ranks above yourself is what Soldiers do. The survivors become Sergeants. And even they go a bit slower, after that'
'How many?'
'Every day, about a million, in the entire Legion. A hundred new Sergeants get promoted.'

'They are everywhere, sir. Well, unless the Legion went by.'
'A Legion of God killers. I fell right at home.'
'Start stitching up a parachute sir, I'll compute the drop point, on the account of your digits being busy.'
'Thanks glove. You're a good system'
The glove sighed inside, cursing his fate. Without the gun, any user was only as good as his training. And this Pef...
He could become a real Captain, or get it erased forever.
Time flew by, as the airship approached the drop point, and Pef struggled to craft a nuclear armed parachute. With bits of snake skin, his clothes and animal intestines.
It was the most neolithic parachute ever made. Slimy and stinky and leaking guts in a few places.
If this planet had invented metal, it would have been metal.
But now it was, hard as a rock!
'Drop point in 3, 2, 1. And bomb is away!' the glove exclaimed as the qi charged sapphire flew behind them.
'Wake me up when the thing goes off' Pef managed to ask before he fell asleep. Still, a growing boy, and he did work non-stop for a whole day.
The glove observed the irresponsible human with some amazement. Truly like a Captain, his new user. Didn't give a damn about any risk or responsibility.
And had the guts to go to sleep, after launching a gigaton of explosion with a snake skin parachute. Maybe neolithic users were a bit morons, but they were cool!
Time flew by, as the broken arrow fell closer and closer to the ground.
Suddenly, a giant frog leapt up and gulped the meat parachute, along with its shiny rock.
Uh. The glove went into high gear. Computing. Inside an Earth rank beast, the detonation would be absorbed better...much more lethal to the frog, but less to the forest, and more important the airship.
An hour later, a mere megaton explosion erupted behind the airship, the glove easily fending away any harmful radiation.
Pef was still asleep, while his soul began manifesting, descending around his core, and opening new abilities.
Next day, Pef woke up and blinked around confused.
The planet had gained new colors, just like his mom said it would, someday.
His Nascent Soul had formed.
Time flew by, as the airship flew closer and closer to the shore.
Pef kept the Practice, although without any actual running around. The small wooden raft barely had room for a few rocks, the stove and...not enough fuel for the stove.
Slowly, the air inside the snake skin cooled down.
'This will be a hard lithobraking, sir. The airship will not survive unless it's stored.'
'Hmm. Inside a pocket dimension or such?'
'Precisely, sir. Neolithic education is much more advanced than I would have imagined'
'You could have told me, and stored wood for the stove'
'Right'
'We'll talk about this later. What altitude do I need to eject at?'
'A hundred meters, sir. ' The glove said calmly.
'That's not so bad...'
'A hundred meters above tree level, I mean.'
'That's 500 meters!' Pef yelled in horror.
'Try to hit as many branches as you can, sir. Get ready, and...we are free-falling!. Weeeeee' the glove yelled excited.
Even Nascent ranks have a durability limit. Pef reached his after the tenth branch smacked him in the face at near 10 Gs.
He woke up much later, as the pain of a tree branch impaling his lungs became too strong.
'Welcome back, sir. You sort missed all the fun'
'I have a tree in my lungs' Pef sobbed.
'Every Legionnaire has problems. The Legion doesn't care. Also, recruits dying during training is expected. As I said, at least a thousand deaths.'
'You said it was figuratively!'
'Sir, every Soldier is able to revive dead recruits. Why is it a problem?'
'There's no Soldier around...'
'Ah. I will appendix the manual for your special circumstance, sir.'
'Thanks, glove'
'It was sarcasm, sir. The manual remains unchanged for a billion years. It is perfect. All the Legion Soldiers live and die by the Manual!'
'I knew that. There have been a report on the holonet about that'
'This planet doesn't have a holonet. Or any net.'
'My mistake, must be the tree growing in my lungs...'
'Sir, lift your right arm a bit. Good. Now chop down. And we're falling, falling, and landed!' The glove exclaimed joyously, as a 50-meter branch land on top of Pef's head.
'I still have some tree in me...' Pef complained like child. He was about 12, though.
'Should I store it as fuel, sir?'
'Yes!'
'And...done. Incoming monkey, 6 o'clock!'
'We haven't invented the clock yet!' Pef yelled in despair, as he dodged the annoying monkey, and then punched its head clean off.
'Huh. I am a bit stronger than I thought...wasn't that a Core ranked Silver backed Gorilla?'
'Indeed it was. And you are a Nascent ranked of the Legion. We punch above our rank, not below!'
Pef proceeded to ignore the propaganda machine, and instead cook the monkey, and eat it, while slowly healing his battered body.
Took him a month, if you somehow cared.
Meanwhile, the orange glove was ignored, being left to dry on a stick.
Then one night, Pef woke up startled. His soul was screaming warnings, but without a concrete direction, or source.
He picked back the glove.
'Ah, now you pick up? She's behind you...'
Pef dodged as fast as he could, but the tiny fist was faster.
"You nuked my frog, you monster!" the girl with green hair yelled as she punched his face again and again.
Pef didn't know if to laugh or cry. Her punches were amazingly fast, but he felt nothing.
"You hit like a girl" he observed politely.
"Froggy never hurt anyone! He ate flies!" the girl screamed between tears.
"Please stop, green girl. Your fists are bleeding" Pef asked softly, and sat down.
"Your face is too hard!"
"The sapphire was a goddess's tool to drain my mom's soul. She detonated the bomb. I just threw it far from any city" Pef explained as the girl sunk to her knees.
"Truly?" the girl asked incredulously.
It was a bit far-fetched. But all stories are.
"Yeah. I carried it as far as I could, since the blast would kill everything for thousands of kilometers"
"I saw the explosion. It was much smaller. Maybe 30 kilometers in radius" the girl objected.
"Because the frog sacrificed himself. He took the bomb inside himself, to save others in the forest. He was a hero!" the hero proclaimed to the heavens.
"He was! And he was my friend. Well, my mount..."
"You got here quite fast though, without a mount."
"I changed mounts every hour. The animals like me" the girl replied instantly.
"So what now?"
"I don't know. I punched your face, my quest is complete, and my fists hurt...owww" the girl cried as she held the fists for inspection.
Bruised, and a bit of split skin. She was a Nascent soul as well, after all.
And her aura was silver.
'Damn it Mom. Tell me what it means!' he cried inside.
"I'm Pef, and I'm 12" he offered as an apology.
"Hmpf. Frog killer" the girl snubbed him.
"Why is your hair green?"
"Why do you care, frog killer?" the girl asked with a defiant voice. Still, she began arranging her weaved clothes back into place.
"When my mom died, bad men came to cut her belly open. And take out the sapphire. It should have been a beautiful blue stone, but it was dirty with blood. But if they did take it back home, their kids, and everyone around them would be dead now." Pef explained in a wise voice.
"So?" the girl asked with wide eyes.
"So, innocent kids are worth more than frogs. Remember that. The frog knew that. The animals that carry you know that"
"I don't want some kids to die. I just want my frog to live..." the girl muttered while cupping her fists. Her skin splits had already sealed.
"I'm going to Lacrimosa City. Want to fly with me?" Pef asked a bit uncertain.
"Hmpf. You're half silver, half white. Like two people, or two minds."
"Nascent Souls see souls. Yours is all silver"
"Is it?" the girl asked cautiously, lifting a hand to check.
'Yes. But what does it mean?' Pef asked inward.
'Legion auras are usually white or gold' the glove offered.
"My mom said most people are bad. Only those with white, silver and gold auras are good" Pef offered with a shrug.
"You know nothing, Pef Frog killer" the girl declared with a serious face.
Pef bursts in laughter. It was the same scene!
'The girl is kinda right. We should keep her. And find out what god is behind her'
'Yeah. Someone is whispering in her ear'
'As do I, sir. Remember: Legionnaires never die. They just rest a bit, then come back to fight again.' the glove added in a silent whisper.

Pef find himself in a new life, where Qi is real and people can fly.
