As the boy grew so with him did the ugliness he was exposed to.

Skies of grey, rains of blood. They all followed him like a sick curse.

Won opened his eyes in the cave.

He was greeted by a magnificent yellow blinding light.

After a few moments of his eyes stinging he found the source of light.

Upon his neck where three necklaces were.

On the necklace with a black ring with a ruby inlaid, a drop of yellow magma moved left and right as he moved. 

Won's eyes dilated as he stared at the drop of liquid fire that buzzed ferociously.

Won held it in his hand and contrary to what he thought the drop wasn't scalding, instead it was a faint warmth, similar to the spiring Sun.

Soon the drop evaporated, seeping into Won's pores and slithering through his Meridians.

Yet instead of being violent, it tempered Won's body. His veins, organs and Meridians they all became clean and large, far surpassing the power of a normal one. His muscles became fierce and it was like every movement could break trees and crack Earth.

Finally the energy settled in his compulsory Heart Acupoint, where orb was.

Won's head buzzed for a bit, and soon his vision became clear and he could feel the fierce fire energies around him all the more clearly.

Won touched the ring around his neck and mumbled, "Auntie..."

Won sighed as he left the underground place he had built for himself.

He released his Demon Idols and then went to kill or enslave all the beasts in the forests.

Won was currently fighting a gigantic snake who lived in a small pool of water, a lotus grew from it's head.

It's green scales shone brightly in the moon's radiance, the glow of the pool below it similarly making it looking fierce and majestic.

Won was to the side, on of his sleeves had been torn and a deep gash was left in his arm, with dark green poison bubbling on the surface.

Won said, "You're really being a bother."

Won shot a palm out, it splintered into a million such golden Palms and smashed into the snake smothering it.

Yet just when it should have been defeated, the lotus atop it's head glowed in a yellow light.

From the sky lotus leaves fell, turning into sharp swords they formed a storm of leaves.

Won's skin was stabbed and cut. 

Won snorted and focused on his heart.

Thick yellow flames drove out of Won's body, they fluttered like butterflies razing everything to the ground.

A great explosion of flames devoured the plants and flowers surrounding them alongside the lotus leaves.

A small beam of fire rose the ground, turning into a slithering yellow colored cobra.

It hissed as it drove down, turning left and right and leaving behind deep pits.

The green scaled snake slammed into the fire cobra, the two encircled each other.

The snake hissed in pain, and from it's fangs a flood of green fell upon the yellow cobra.

The two continued on rising to the sky, they looked similar to dragons as they coiled around each other and bit into each other.

A deep haze of heat and poison filled the air. 

Won put his hands together and a Golden Buddha surrounded him, the poison rippling against the Gold boundary.

Won split his focus as he concentrated on controlling the flame cobra.

Won clicked his tongue as he retrieved two daggers.

He jumped up.

He held the daggers close to his chest and used {Duality collision} the upgraded martial arts of {Dagger slash}.

Two silver lines followed the tips of the blade.

As the daggers met at the middle, a blinding flash of silver light.

The sky crumbled and the air stilled.

Won fell to the ground and collapsed.

From his arms blood sprouted like flowers.

His hands were mangled with the bones all twisted and the muscles torn.

Won snarled, "If it wasn't for that damn bastard trying to evolve into a Wyrm I wouldn't have needed to use that Technique."

Won used {Undying Warrior} and the wounds on his body healed.

Won winced in the pain that still remained, shooting through his nerves.

"Really it wasn't hard enough with it being Absolute General Stage Beast, it really nearly went through an Evolution in it's bloodline."

In the foliage a young girl wearing a plain white Taoist robe, with the emblem of a snake coiling around a blade on her chest.

She shuddered in fear, and tightened the grip on her mouth.

She was a disciple of one of the seven great Righteous sects the Heaven Love sect.

As she tried to walk back, a voice interrupted.

"My miss where are you going. You've come so you can't leave without a greeting."

Two hands shot out and one held tightly around her throat and the other held her mouth tightly closed.

Won pat his hands and said, "Hello Miss. I wonder if you could give me some information. Hungry Ghost I'll leave it to you to gather the information."

Won then walked towards the side where a small lotus sat, it was shedding it's leaves and looked depressed and dead.

Won picked it up and injected it with life force and Qi.

Soon the flower brightened and a golden glow shot out of it.

Won looked at the golden screen in front of him in happiness.

(Odette thicken with one-quarter cup of flour rubbed smooth with one rounding tablespoon of butter)

(Tony rub a gridiron with olive oil, uses her tail to lay the mackerel on it and broil over a charcoal fire)

(Odette takes out the onion, add a salt spoon of pepper, one level teaspoon of salt and the Salmon)

(Tony place some chopped parsley and onions on a hot dish, with the hot fish, squeezing over the mackerel a little lemon juice)

Odette: Looks delicious 

Tony: Now, now, this is for my Li

Li (behind the camera): Seriously, you know I love mackerel (puts the camera by the counter and sits on a chair at the table)

After getting dressed he walked towards the Beast, finally getting it in his view he was suprised to see a 4 Meter tall white skinned Rhino.

The beast looked at Chu Feng with an agressive gaze whil Chu Feng just sighed and turned around.

The beast looked at him in confusion just to see Chu Feng turn around and grabbed his chance to try striking his back, just as he was about to hit Chu Feng a voice full with contempt came out.

"Idiot" Chu Feng dissapeared infront of the best and arrived at its side and summoned his blade and slashed towards his enemy.

'Lightning Draw!'

The blade accurately hit its right eye.

The Snow Rhino screeched in pain and turned its head in towards where Chu Feng just stood but there was nothing there. Out of nowhere a numbing pain fell on its left front leg and itsvleg sank in and it knelt on the ground.

Just as it turned towards the source of the attack a blade greeted its left eye to.

Chu Feng retreated and looked at the blind Snow Rhino and smimed contempt.

"Mercy? This is the wild, its kill or be killed!"

Chu Feng quickly put it out of its misery amd absorbed its Spirit Ring.

"No wonder they say that Battle-Instinct is the most important factor while hunting Beasts'

 Chu Feng knew he had gotten a bit stronger due to yesterday's experience but he didn't expect this much of an increase.

Chu Feng decided walk even deeper into the Outer-Layer of the Forest Of Fighting Stars since the corpse of the Snow Rhino would attract a lot of Beasts.

After around 15 minutes of walking a huge bang startled him and he looked at the map aandwas shocked, 5 1.000 Purple Light dots!

"There definitely is a Treasure there" Chu Feng's greed and curiosity got the better of him and he walked towards the fight, he climbed into a tree to see what was fighting.

A huge Snake with 2 heads of around 10 Meters, A black Bear of 4 Meters tall with horns, A Serpent with wings of 7 Meter long and a Crane with a 15 Meter wingspan with snow white feathers and they are all encircle a the strongest light dot. it was a serpent with legs and 2 horns potruding out of its head, it was over 30 Meters long with feint black looking scales with white dots that looked like stars on it.

'Wait! Is that..... A Flood-Dragon?!' Chu Feng was startled and instantly looked at its information.

• A Snake that bathed in Space Elements for a long perio of time before eventuall becoming a Flood-Dragon.

'I must get this thing as my first Spirit Ring, not only is it close to a dragon it and is of the Space Element! But why are they fighting?'

Chu Feng looked at the fight Beasts and when the Flood-Dragon jumped at the crane and bit into its wings to drag it down from the air.

Its layer appeared in Chu Feng sight and a Yellow with Orange coloured Lotus appeared in his view.

•A Lotus that absorbed a huge amount of Fire and Ice Elements.

'If i absorb that Lotus i might be able to absorb that Flood-Dragon's Spirit Ring, but first.... How do i even kill the son of a b*tch' Chu Feng cursed in his mind, he wasn't letting this heavenly gift go no matter what.

Chu Feng calculated in his mind on several scenerio's and looked at the Beasts fighting the Flood-Dragon.

But they were all between 8.000 and 9.000 Years! Altough they all were in the 1000-Year-Old group they had a massive power difference.

Slowly the battlefield was shifting from the cave, the Flood-Dragon took the crane out of the sky and bit into its wing.

The other 2-Headed Snake, Winged-Serpent and the Horned-Bear knew they stood no chance without the crane to distract the Flood-Dragon so they threw big rocks, trees and tried to sneak attack it.

The Flood-Dragon tried to hold onto the Cloud-Crane but failed due to the constant attacks around him.

*Rrr*

The Flood-Dragon raised its head angrily and let out a mix of Snake Sound and a roar.

The 5 Beasts kept attacking back and forth, what they didn't notice was a tiny figure, a child, slipping into the cave.

Chu Feng who just entered the cave instantly went to the Silithina Lotus after confirming the inside of the cave was safe.

He sat behind the Silithina Lotus and put his hands on it, slowly the energy started to flow into his body, bones and 8 points.

The pain got worse and worse and Chu Frng was already biting his lip untill it bled while cursing all the cursewords he knew.

*Krrggkk* *Kggg* *Clank*

Sounds of bones being broken and placed on the right place sounded out, his whole body was being refined, cleaned of impurities and stronger.

After a few minuties Chu Feng was finally able to open his eyes again and stood up, his body felt light and uncomfortable due to a huge increase in strength.

Looking on his map he saw the Purple Light Dots 300 Meters North from the cave while he still felt the tremors through the earth.

"System, what is my limit now regarding Spirit Ring Age"

"Tch, i you think i'm a fool? Tell me the truth without you being sure if i survive or not" Chu Feng clicked his tongue, he knew the System had a safety function or something along those lines to keep the host alive.

"So around 13% right now huh, how do i go to atleast 50% certainty in a short period of time?"

"Did you just add a '?' to f*ck with me?" Chu Feng asked with an annoyed voice.

[The System was only attached in Host's second life, the System did not get any information or state of mind of Host's past life]

"Ahhh, fuck it" Chu Feng rubbed his hair and went to the battlefield of the huge Beasts and saw that the fight was already closing in on its end.

The Cloud-Crane had a wing full of holes, the Horned-Bear was death alongside the 2-Headed-Snake, the Winged-Serpent had both its wings brutally ripped out of its body.

The Flood-Dragon wasn't much better off with its front legs being cut off and a body full of wounds.

The Cloud-Crane jumped towards the Flood-Dragon with its beak trying to hit it but the Flood-Dragon avoided its beak with relative ease while using its tail to grab its beak and slam it against the ground.

The Winged-Serpent slid behind the Flood-Dragon and bit into its tail, trying to free the Cloud-Crane but before it was able to put enough power in its jaws it body gave out due all the injuries and gave it last remaing breath.

The Cloud-Crane was being slammed on the ground over and over again by the Flood-Dragon  who's body was shaking and sank through its last 2 legs, the Cloud-Crane broke free from its constraints and walked towards the Flood-dragon with a vicious glint.

The Cloud-Crane who was about to finish off the Flood-Dragon didn't notice a human jumping on a fallen tree behind it and jumped on its back.

'Lightning Draw!'

Chu Feng put every bit of power he had into the his skill.

*Screeeech*

The Cloud-Crane let out a cry of pain but didn't fall down and tried to get this pesky little creature of its back.

Chu Feng, upon noticing it was not enough to finish the Beast off clung his feet at the Cloud-Crane's neck and held his sword above his head and started cutting down at the Cloud-Crane's neck from behind.

'Die, Die, Die, Die!,DIE!!!!' Chu Feng yelled in his heart while cutting into the back of the neck of the huge crane untill his hands bled, for 5 minutes straight it was a wrestling match.

Two beings, a human and a huge crane who had different objectives fought to their death. The Cloud-Crane was trying to get the human off its neck and the human wabtrying to slaughter it before it managed to do so.

*Screeeee....*

The Cloud-Crane let out its last weak screech and fell to the ground.

"Huff....Hufff...System, Absorb the....Huff...Spirut Ring and buy me....Huffff....5 Healing Pellets"

[Ding! 5x Healing Pellet (Small) added in Inventory]

Chu Feng withdrawed them out of his inventory and bit into them like they were candies, all the blood of the 1000-Year-Old Beasts would attract a lot of attention for sure.

"Oke, time to finish this Flood-Dragon off" Chu Feng walked towards the Flood-Dragon who already had its eyes closed with shallow breathing, seamingly passed out.

Chu Feng wasted no time and cut into its body over and over again untill he reached its brain and slashed it just to be sure.

A huge Purple Spirit Ring floated in front of the Flood-Dragon.

"Finally! Hahahaha, i can finally advance further!" Chu Feng yelled in excitement, he was an addict.... A battle addict and a strength addict. He need strength to live the way he wanted to and this Spirit Ring will be his beginning

Chu Feng braced himself without any hesitation before putting his hands on the Spirit Ring.

*KTSSS* *Pfff* *Cough*

"AAARRGGGHHH!" Chu Feng screamed while couching out blood in between screams, cracks appeared in his skin and his body got drenched in blood.

Even in his last life when he got shot 6 times in a gunfight with the terrorist group he still fought to the end and won but right now it felt like his skin was scraped off, his body burned in a human stove and having his bones broken over and over again.

The screaming finally stopped after 10 minutes and a body lied on its back with tears of blood on his face.

Chu Feng bought 10 Healing Pills from the store and crunched on them, the pain slowly subsided a bit so that he could slowly stand up and walk but his body felt as if it was 10 times heavier.

Just as Chu Feng walked in the direction of his cave...

Disclaimer: I don't own the Novel/Manga Doulou Dalu aka. Soul Land. Its an amazing series so if you have the time now, you should read it! (I don't own the Cover either i just found it on the internet and thought it was kind of similiar to the MC i was trying to display but the MC is a bit more buffed and red eyes)

Stones and dirt lined the corridor we walked down. Tilly was wearing a pair of Katar-like claws, and I had the black sword, but we had yet to encounter anything after an hour of walking.
"Where are all the snakes or monsters? I thought for sure we would be fighting snakes the whole way, but there aren't even moltings left anywhere."
"You're right, but this is nice too," Tilly said with a smile beside me. 
"I agree, but it feels like something is off, you know? We haven't hit a single split in the path. For a labyrinth, it doesn't make much sense."
"I guess you're right. I hadn't really thought about it. What do you think it means?"
"Honestly, I have no idea. Not a lot we can do at this point but to keep walking. This path has to lead somewhere, but maybe we could try picking up the pace?" 
"Do you really think that's a good idea, Dave? If we move too fast, we could step on a trap or in a pit."
I stopped, a bit taken back by Tilly's forethought and cautiousness. I had never really seen her in that light, and It made me look at her differently. The way we level and mature was hard to get ahold of sometimes.
Tilly had noticed I had stopped to look at her and was frowning at me. The look was so cute! I had to walk up to her and ruffle the hair between her ears. Her tail began to twitch with excitement.
"You really are adorable, but smart and kind as well. I'm really glad you join our party," I spoke, and Tilly moved closer, burying her face into my chest.
I wrapped my arms around Tilly and hugged her close. The white tips of her ears brushed my face, and I couldn't stop myself from rubbing into them. I felt and heard the purring start as Tilly looked up into my eyes, filling me with warmth.
The rose color in her cheeks wasn't the same deep red blush of embarrassment. Our faces moved closer, and I felt her warm breath on my face, and it sent shivers down my spine as our lips drew closer. As my hand slid up her back to her neck and I could feel her purring vibrations, a voice cut through the darkness with a hissing resonance.
"Aren't you two getting comfortable? Come closer, you have come so far, and my pet can smell your warming bodies."
Tilly and I separated before our lips could make the connection. The voice had been in my mind, and by her reaction, Tilly heard it as well. Both of us turned to the way we had been going, sure that was the direction the soundless voice had come. 
"Well, I guess that was our cue," I said, giving Tilly a look.
Tilly slipped over and kissed me quickly, then turned to keep going. That left me with a smile, and I caught up with her. We didn't have far to walk until we reached a large cavern.
"They really aren't that original with the demon hideout layout's," I joked as we walked into the giant cavern. 
As I said that, I noticed that the walls were filled with massive holes and gave the cave a honeycomb look. A low and menacing hiss came from in front of us, Then another above us and to the left. Both of us began backing to the entrance, but when I glanced back, I noticed It was closed off.
"I think you better get you sword out, Kitty," I told Tilly as I summoned my LIGHT BLADE.
As the piercing white blade grew, the pet name I just gave Tilly made me smile, and I couldn't wait to see what she thought after this fight. We could see the snakes now, black scales with yellow eyes. In the presence of the black miasma forming around them, revealed by PIERCE EVIL, DEMON BRINGER broke forth in my hands, and I screamed. 
"DEMON HUNTER!"
The black marks on my arm and the one on my face erupted with black flames while DEMON BRINGER burned with golden ones. Tilly and I charged. She carried her greatsword in one hand with the other behind her back. I dash to the first snake with Tilly close behind.
"NOW KITTY!"
When the first snake was within less than a meter from making my lunch, Tilly activated taunt. The snake was forced to turn towards her at the last second and I sliced the two-meter thick neck, taking the first snakes to head off. The other snake backed off and slid back into the wall.
"Are you all right?" I asked as I rushed over to Tilly's side.
"Kitty?" She tilted her head at me while also squinting her eyes.
I was slightly worried by her expression, but then we both heard that voice again.
"You killed my child, but you are so young! I will," but the voice was cut off by my scream.
Loneliness, pain, darkness...
The demon's exile and confinement all became visceral pain that blocked the world out as I hit my knees.
Then it stopped.
 
I opened my eye to feel another mark close to the last on my face sear into my flesh, but compared to the demon's pain, it was nothing. Tilly was at my side, rubbing my back. I felt different, the pain was a distant memory, and I stood up.
"Are you ok?" Tilly cautiously asked me as she stood up with me.
"I don't think I can ever get used to that."
"To what?"
"Every time I kill one, I take on its pain and feelings, but I think that's what helps keep my SANITY stat low. I have to take in the pain, and not let myself become absorbed by it."
"Look at all the sealed demons you hold, and yet you know nothing of their potential. I have had enough waiting, you killed my child, and I shall take my revenge," the voice cut into my mind again, and then I remembered something.
"Let me see your ring," I asked Tilly.
"Sure, I took the Earth Ring with brown jade," Tilly let me know as she gave me her hand.
I kissed her hand, and she smiled at me. I turned it over and got her to put her pinky out so I could quickly look at the AVATAR card. Bingo! I glanced at Tilly's status, and it was as I thought.
"Kitty, I'm gonna turn up the power on your ring. The other girls should be fine for a short fight, so we have to be quick."
"Yes, Darling. I mean, since I have a pet name now, I should get to give you my own, right?"
"Yeah, but maybe let's not use them around the other girls. Speaking of them, I actually meant to ask why you all are so keen on sharing me?"
"Well," But Tilly was cut off by a massive eighteen meters long hooded black cobra came rushing towards us. 
Both of us dived in the same direction, but the other smaller snake came at us from another direction. I quickly slid my finger on the Master Ring on earth and cranked Tilly's power to 60% and the ring to 30%. Hopefully, this act wouldn't put the other team at risk.
Tilly started to give off a brown glow, and she turned to me with a wicked smile. She turned to the oncoming snake and used the flat of her greatsword to bat it away like a fly. The massive snake flew through the air, connecting awkwardly with the multiple holes in the wall and falling in a heap.
"WHAT ARE YOU DO..." But the words cut off in my mind, as Tilly made a standing leap, rocketing towards the gigantic demon cobra.
The demon tried to dodge below, but I was there, running on the ground behind Tilly's explosive advance. The cobra opened it's mouth to get me, but Tilly connected with the roof, making a smooth turn and rebound. She slammed down into the snakes back with her greatsword, and earthen spikes shot up, pinning it.
With its body spiked down, the demon head was sent rearing up. I didn't waste the chance and leaped to drive DEMON BRINGER through the bottom of the demon's mouth. Golden flames boiled the yellow eyes, and the body exploded, along with the other snake, into black particles.
"Is it over?" Tilly questioned while panting and looking around.
"Almost," I said as I prepared myself.
The particles were already swirling around me, and I knew this was going to be the worst to date. Suddenly, Tilly was at my side, walking me to one of the snake holes in the wall. She sat me down as I started to feel I come the same as before, but way more intense.
"I'm not excited about this, nor am I ready," I smiled weakly to Tilly, but she just pushed my head into her lap.
"Take a deep breath, and we will get through this."
"Wait, I need...to...turn," the pain was starting to seize me now, but I was able to get the ring up to set back to normal.
Tilly helped me as my body shook, and I cried out in agony and pain. She held my hand and wiped the sweat off my face with a cloth she had gotten out. After fifteen minutes, the pain left as though it had never been, and I was left with two marks the appeared on my shoulder. 
"Thank you, Tilly," I smiled up at her as she wiped the last bits of sweat from me.
"But Darling, What about my pet name?"
"Oh? You do like it then?"
"Well, only because you gave it to me. I was a little put off at first, but then you made that cute smile you get when something makes you happy. It kinda melts me on the inside when you do," Tilly stroked my hair as she spoke to me.
"Kitty, do you think we need to rush back just yet?" I asked, looking up into Tilly's beautiful eyes. 
I didn't wait for her to respond or another snake to interrupt us. Our lips met, and my hand reached up to pull her in close to me. I broke off the kiss to sit up and take her in my arms. Her tail surrounded us, and we became lost in each other's embrace.

Savyrran glanced at the gray time monitor on her wrist. Three hours. Only three hours of the time was gone. Within the last three hours, many of the applicants had reluctantly formed teams so as to make the hunt for the cores easier. In fact, one boy had asked Savyrran to join their team, however, Savyrran had politely declined.
 
Thus, she was all alone now that all the applicants had dispersed into the length and breadth of the vast forest. 
 
The forest was green through and through, as far as the eye could reach. The trees were incredibly tall, as though reaching to the skies, and they were very well spaced. In spite of how high the trees were, and the shade they provided, the rays of the sun still managed to filter through and light up the forest. 
 
Savyrran stooped in her tracks, completely lost. Her sense of direction was nothing to write home about, how was she supposed to traverse in a giant maze like this one? On top of it too, she had to find soul beasts to hunt. Where was she supposed to start from?
 
Savyrran understood that all soul beasts contained cores within them. The core, which came in different shapes and sizes, contained the soul energy of any soul beast. To extract the soul energy of a soul beast, one needed to remove the core first. It was quite easy to get access to the cores of common class soul beasts, because they were relatively weaker and more abundant. However, those from rare class and legendary class soul beasts were quite hard to get, thus, they could fetch a huge sum of money when sold. 
 
Savyrran had never fought any soul beast before. However, since she had fought a beast-type soul armos before, she had a rough idea of what it was like to fight a soul a beast. But of course, that blood flame tiger she had fought about ten years ago was merely a common class soul armos. This trial was something much more.
 
"Are they even sure there are any soul beasts in this forest?" She said to herself. Ever since she started walking, she had not met any living being. How large was the forest that she had not even come across a single applicant yet?
 
After walking for several hours, the sun began to set and the forest grew darker. 
 
"Maybe I should find somewhere to rest for the night." Savyrran said to herself. 
 
She heard a rushing of many waters in the distance and when she got closer to the sound, she saw that it was a waterfall. 
 
"Wow…." She breathed, her eyes taking in the full length of the high waterfall. Savyrran caught sight of a cave close to the waterfall. A smile grew on her face when she thought about finally finding a resting place for the evening.
 
But before Savyrran could even enter the cave, a thunderous roar followed by a piercing scream tore through the dark cool night. Savyrran suddenly stopped in her tracks the moment she heard the scream. The first roar definitely belonged to a beast while the second one sounded like a person. It was as though whoever was screaming had seen the face of evil itself. Though Savyrran had not been frightened by the noise, its suddenness had startled her.
 
"It's coming from the cave."
 
As the words came out of her mouth, she found herself entering the cave, however, it was so dark that she could not move past beyond its entrance. Savyrran breathed in slowly as she thought of what to do next. She couldn't just blindly walk into a dark cave. Who knew what kind of traps were inside. But at the same time, she could not bring herself to leave either, after all, there must be someone in there who needed help.
 
In that instant she remembered something, bringing a smile to her face. Slowly, she rubbed her own space ring, and after a few seconds of casting her consciousness within the ring, a small lantern appeared in Savyrran's hand. She pressed a button on the lantern and then a bright white light flooded the cave. 
 
Savyrran closed her eyes briefly in order to adjust her eyes to the abrupt illumination. With the cave illuminated, she could now see everything clearly. It seemed the place was empty, however, she did not for a second lose her guard. Though she could not sense any soul energy within the cave, she knew there was someone or something in here. 
 
There were several white crystals scattered in a deliberate manner across the floor of the cave. 
 
Light crystals. Savyrran thought. She had been wondering how the academy had been recording the trials. Of course, they had been using the light crystals to do it. It seemed that at this very moment, there were people watching her every move back in the academy. For a while, Savyrran wished Ovandarrak was watching her trials too. 
 
Hssssssssss….
 
A high pitched hissing sound snapped her back into reality. Then there was a low growl.
 
"What is happening here?" Savyrran whispered to herself. 
 
Following the sound, she soon came across a shocking spectacle. 
 
Savyrran raised the lantern in front of her so as to make sure that her eyes were not playing any tricks of her. No, they really weren't. There was actually a large serpent, as thick as a person and as long as… Savyrran was not sure how long it was, since the serpent had coiled itself multiple times over. However, its thick black body, with two long horns on its head, was at a fully erect position. The high pitch hiss reverberated throughout the cave, giving Savyrran the chance to see the serpent's long white fangs. 
 
But the serpent had not noticed Savyrran's presence. Instead, its deep black eyes were fixated on a huge brown bear with orange eyes lying over someone as though shielding the person from the giant snake. 
 
In one swift motion, the bear jumped towards the serpent, and with its large paws, smacked the large head of the serpent into the wall. But the serpent seemed to have the upper hand because it recovered quickly and then sank its long fangs into the neck of the bear.
 
A thunderous roar echoed throughout the cave, almost shaking the ground itself. But not only did the bear scream, the person lying on the floor screamed with terror and then began to spasm on the ground. The serpent used its long thick tail to whip the bear into the air until it crashed right back into the wall several steps back. The bear disintegrated into tiny orange specks until it was no more.
 
As Savyrran saw what was going on, she suddenly realised that the bear was the soul armos of the person lying on the ground. No wonder it had been trying to protect its master. That must mean that that serpent was a soul beast. She was about to get her very first core; how lucky she was.
 
But first things first, she needed to help the person, else that soul beast would definitely kill him.
 
 
Hssssssssss…
 
The giant serpent flung its thick tail towards the weak child on the ground. The tail came crashing down at the very place the child was. However, once the serpent lifted its tail, there was nothing in sight. There was no blood even to at least show that the child had been crushed into bits. 
 
"Looking for this." Savyrran said loudly, gaining the attention of the horned serpent for the first time. She was holding the teenage boy in her strong arms like he weighed nothing at all. The lantern was standing right by Savyrran's feet.
 
"Wh…what are y… you… doing…?" The boy whispered weakly. His eyes were a pale orange and there were deep wounds all over his body.
 
"Shhh…." Savyrran whispered, not for a second taking her eyes off the giant horned serpent.
 
"No… Pl…please…go. Ju…just…go. You…will die."
 
A yellow halo slowly grew around the blackness of the serpent's eyes until its eyes looked like a black ring embedded within a yellow ring.
 
Hssssssssss…
 
The high pitch hissing, ten times even more terrifying than the first, echoed throughout the cave. 
 
Though she could not sense the soul energy of the soul beast, Savyrran instinctively knew that the serpent was about to use its full strength. 
 
Quickly, but gently, she put the boy behind her, from harm's way. Then after subtly rubbing her space ring, Badisk appeared in her right hand.
 
The snake bared its fangs and then lunged its thick body towards Savyrran.
 
A grin widened on Savyrran's face. "You seem mad about something, little snake."
 
Hssssssssss…
 
How much she had missed swinging her dear sword. After so long, she was finally having a taste of a real fight. Hopefully, this giant serpent proved to be a formidable opponent. 
 
Before the serpent could reach Savyrran, the girl had already disappeared from her position and instead, was speeding towards the snake. Clutching her black sword with nimble strength, she swung it in one swift motion at the snake's head the instant she appeared before it.
 
It was a silent painless death for the serpent since not a single sound escaped from it giant head as it rolled over the ground. Savyrran sped out of the way before the endless gushing of thick blood could spray her. 
 
This was not fun at all, she thought. For a second, she had hoped this fight would be glorious, instead, it had not even lasted a minute. How disappointing. Was this snake that weak then?
 
"Hey… stay with me. I will get you help." Savyrran said when she got to the boy lying on the ground.
 
The boy weakly grabbed onto Savyrran's hand. "No… It… It's fine. I… I'm go…ing… to die… Bull… ser…pent… poi…son… ."
 
Suddenly, a yellow light appeared in the very place the bull serpent had died. Once the light disappeared, the bull serpent and the blood disappeared too. It was like nothing had even been there in the first place. Then a yellow palm sized gem fell out of nowhere, rolling over to where the two children were.
 
"Ta..ke… it. The c..ore. An…And take… this…" The boy lifted his ring finger. There was a silver ring on it. Savyrran recognised it as the rings they had been given for the trials to store their cores.
 
"I can't do that. Let's go, I will find a way to get you out of this forest. You need help."
 
"No…no…" A loud scream escaped from the boy and then he began to tremble violently as he tightly held on to Savyrran's hand. Tears flowed down his face freely, and his orange pupils dimmed until they became brown.
 
Savyrran clenched her fist as she helplessly watched the boy writhe in pain.
 
"Pl…please… kill me. Please. Pl..please… Kill me. Th… The pain… t…too… much.. please." Blood oozed out of the boy's nose and eyes, as he pleaded with Savyrran.
 
Savyrran felt a tight painful tug in her chest. It wasn't that she was physically in pain, but she could not explain it either. Watching the boy suffer was too painful to watch, and for a moment, she considered his wish. Maybe, the only way she could help was to end his suffering. It was a long way away from the academy, and every minute she wasted taking the boy back to the academy was another minute the boy suffered. From all the blood he was losing, it did not seem he could make it either.
 
Also, clearly, the serpent had damaged the boy's soul armos by the way it had attacked the bear. She was totally helpless in this situation. Had Ovandarrak been here, he would have at least known how to treat the poison and reduce the boy's pain. 
 
So she did the only thing she could. She gently held the boy's head, and then calmly soothed him. "It's okay. It's all going to end now. Shhh…"
 
Then in one clean movement, Savyrran snapped the boy's neck and everything was still.
 
"Rest in peace." She whispered as she closed the boy's eyes. Savyrran sat back on the ground, a wave of guilt washing over her. Maybe if she had come earlier, the boy would still be alive. Slowly, she took the yellow core. A yellow core… which meant that that giant snake only had yellow soul energy. No wonder it was so weak. She put the core in her trial space ring. At first, she had thought against taking the boy's space ring too, but when she remembered that he had offered it himself, she finally decided to take it.
 
Inside, she removed five other cores, all of which were from common class soul beasts. With the yellow core, she now had six common class cores. How was it that she had never even met a single soul beast? It was almost like all the soul beasts were hiding from her or something.
 
Finally seating back down, she closed her eyes and then leaned back on the wall. The exhaustion she had incurred from the day began to creep into her body and soon she fell asleep.

As a smirk appeared on his lips, Lin Feng's clone walked towards the white snake man.
"The attack of your partner was pretty strong." As he looked at the white snake man, he commented, making the man look at him with a solemn and anxious expression.
"H-How could you have that kind of monstrous strength?!" The white snake man shouted while staring at him.
'Training and some unusual luck.' Lin Feng's clone answered in his head while shrugging off his shoulder.
'Well, I'm just a clone, to begin with, and I had only 75% of the original power.' He added in his heart that the physical clones' ability would become stronger if he created fewer clones.
Even though he can't use his sixth spirit ring skills and had only half of the original spirit energy reserve, he can still use the rest of his skills without any problems.
But if Lin Feng made many clones like when he fought the Seven Shrek Devil in the Great Spirit Arena. The strength would be divided among the clones, while the skill they could use would be less and less than it could use right now.
'What's he thinking about right now?' As he stared at the clone of Lin Feng, the white snake man thought that he was suddenly quiet when asked how he had that kind of monstrous power.

"He's supposed to be in his weak condition..." He muttered as his seventh spirit ring suddenly shone, and his body began to turn into a huge white snake with yellow slit eyes.
'I need to take advantage of this opportunity!' The white serpent thought solemnly before charging to the clone of Lin Feng as he opened his mouth.
"White Snake's Bite!" The white snake bites at the clone of Lin Feng, who stares helplessly at him.
'I have no strength or spirit energy left to fight him.' Lin Feng's clone was thinking with a helpless sigh.
'Well, the original is supposed to be here soon.' He added that he closed his eyes with a smile on his face.
After he closed his eyes, the enormous white snake bit him and ripped his body apart in a split second before flying to a small patch of grass as the white snake laughed.
"Hahaha, Purple Eagle, your death was not in vain!" The white snake laughed while looking at the upper part of the body of the clone.
"The key!" He said, staring at the necklace on the clone's neck, but he felt that something was going on when he saw the smile on the clone's face.
*Poof!*
The body of the clone explodes into white particles. Not long after that, there was a sound of a clap in the area.
"What?!" The white snake stared at the white smoke with a shocked and startled expression.
*clap!* *clap!* *clap!*
The white snake shifted his gaze in the direction of the clap.
"H-How!?" The white snake shouted with fear in his eyes as he saw something unbelievable.
With a little smile on his face, Lin Feng is heading towards him as Aria and Zhuqing are trailing him from behind.
"How was the feeling fighting my clone?" Lin Feng asked with a chuckle while staring at the white snake's eyes.
'Clone... All this time, we were fighting A fking CLONE!!' The white snake thought while his enormous body was shivering in nervousness or anger.
"Well, Before we continue..." Lin Feng took out a small gem with many inscriptions and crushed it using his hand.
*Crack!*
"Let's change the place first." He added as a blinding white light shone between them, they disappeared from the area.
'Where's the place?' The white serpent thought grimly when he opened his eyes and saw a forest with many tall trees.
'I can't feel the connection with the group!' He added in his heart while making a solemn expression.
"Wood Dragon Bound." Lin Feng's voice entered his ears as a humongous wood dragon emerged from the ground and bounded his snake body.
"Drain." Lin Feng chanted as the wood dragon started releasing a faint green light and rapidly sucked the white snake's vitality.
"Keuk! M-My body!" The white snake groaned when feeling his strength leaving his body as he tried to break the wood dragon, but all of his struggles are futile.
The white snake slumped to the ground and transformed back to his original form, a tall black long-haired man with a pale complexion and yellow snake-like eyes.
"This wood dragon..." The man muttered with a frown as he stared at the wooden dragon all over his body, which had also become smaller to match his body.
"Uugh, I can't use my white scaled shield, and my strength leaves my body!" He groaned as he kneeled on the ground.
"We could finally talk, right?" Lin Feng spoke while making a wooden chair in front of a white snake man.
"So, what is the motive of your group?" He asked, intently staring at him.
"I don't have an obligation to answer that." The white snake man responded while giving him a cold stare.
"Heh, Is that so..." Lin Feng smiled as the wood dragon started sucking more of the white snake man's vitality.
"I'm not going to answer your question, Monster!" The white snake man screamed, making a tick mark appeared on Lin Feng's face.
"Fine. Fine. Let's use another method, then." Lin Feng suddenly said as a copy of the sword birth appeared on his right hand.

The sword birth began to shine with golden-black light, which, after the light had vanished, showed a short sword with a gray blade and a golden chain at the end of the hilt.

"The Sword of Enslaving." Lin Feng murmured while staring at the white snake man as he shook his head.
"What is your name?" He asked, to which the white snake man instantly responded.
"Bai Xian." The white man said while mindlessly staring at the air.
"Wow, It's working..." Lin Feng stated while nodding in satisfaction.
Then he thought of something as he stared intently at the white snake man.
"Tell me about your group." He asked while waiting for useful information about his unknown enemy.
The white snake man nodded, "Our group..."

'Please not now!' Apollyon beseeched, and when he glanced above him to pray to the gods and goddesses, demanding them to show his missing wife, the colossal serpent entered his vision. 
Another flush of adrenaline tingled through his body from the sight.
 There was no reason to be startled at its appearance when the demon serpent was hard to miss as it floated in the sky.
 With every stretch of its thick and lengthy form, it slammed against the demon barriers, and the recipient of the damage shattered into specks of dust, effectively destroying it without meaning to.
 Some demons weren't able to return to their individual forms.  
The rest would either morph their remaining demon essence into another whole demon, or they would cease to exist because they burned themselves out from consuming too much power after taking in damaging blows.
Maybe, fear wasn't enough to sustain them as a demonic Legion because of the snake spirit.
All the spring faeries were ignorant of how these shape-shifting demons operate, and Apollyon couldn't blame them either because he wasn't aware of it in the first place.
Apollyon even raised a curious eyebrow during his discussion with Luna when he figured out that his wife also knew about it.
Apollyon's wife was smart when it came to how the enemy worked and making him feel loved and desired, but the rest of his wife's charms will be up for debate.
  It was nice that the serpent hated to be constrained in such a tight and enclosed space.
Apollyon blinked rapidly along with the rest of the spring faeries when the demons who possessed the tainted ones moved out of their bodies to aid their fellow demons attacking Luna's serpent, uniting their sprits on the black circlet.
The thick midnight ring which throttled the snake's neck shattered into pieces as the serpent shed its old skin to reveal a new one.
Apollyon felt it in their dark auras that these devils were highly strung, and some of them didn't recover from the heat of the demon snake spirit.
The serpent's new skin of black and red burned the fear-eating demons with Hellfire, effectively weakening their troops.  
He finally saw his wife settled at the top of the snake's triangular head.
It was Luna's rightful throne as the summoner of the demon familiar.
Apollyon's rigid posture released all its tension.
Chills ran down his spine as the tiny hairs on his neck stood on its end as he watched Luna, mesmerized by the silver-haired beauty that was his wife. 
Her dripping wet locks were a gorgeous mess of curls as the strong winds blew them into all sorts of directions.
 He had never seen her look so smug even as she wore a poker face with her brows slightly knitting in a grim determination—so bold and confident to face death itself in her torn halterneck top and the loose tunic he tied around Luna's waist, showing her shapely calves. 
She was an Amazonian Warrior through and through as he saw her sword and shield materialized in her hands.
Luna had gone to Hell and back, and it was time to prove how powerful she was an Archdemon.
Even if he appeared busy scrutinizing Luna, Apollyon will remain alert and vigilant, using his Fae Magic to catch her if she slipped from the scales and fall. 
As he clenched her fists, Apollyon felt regret that he was a mere audience watching on the sidelines because it was his job as a husband to protect his wife. 
Why was it the other way around? 
He sighed as he bit his lower lip until it bled in ire. 
Never in his entire immortal life as a Vampire King was there a moment where he felt helplessly emasculated.
 It wasn't a good feeling to be a supporting role in the middle of a battlefield.
After this battle, Apollyon would find ways to covet the power of an Archdemon so that he would become stronger than his wife to protect her.
Watching Luna attempting to stand up at the top and regaining her balance as the serpent moved its head around was a feat herself. 
It came to a point where the deformed demons burst into fragments before they could even retreat to regain their energy and attack for the second time.
 Their anxiety leaked out from their barriers around the Demon Snake Spirit was palpable. 
Their nervous tension and the desire to flee from Krinoniapolis vibrated in the air.
Did these fear-eating demons finally felt fear over the Demon Snake Spirit?
That must be sad and overwhelming when they were literally the embodiment of fear.
Apollyon's lips curved in a sardonic grin.
This battle wouldn't last an hour because he already knew who will win.  
Thousands of pieces of old snakeskin with green scales and yellow rings on its cold, shiny form rained on top of their heads as the strong breeze made it descend in slow motion along with the drizzles of rain shower from the Spring Monarch's typhoon, quenching the remaining flames from the bonfire. 
The demons got rid of the dark prison they built around the spring faeries by separating themselves into individual souls before clustering to morph into a griffin.
 It advanced, quick and nimble, as its paws clawed at the snake's green shield of armor without warning.
 Luna's serpent was extremely fast in evading the griffin's sudden attack and successfully flung its large head out of the way and bounced back, tossing the enemy from afar with a victorious hiss. 
The griffin screeched loudly with its beak in a war cry and angrily struck back at Luna in a rampage. Due to its size and length, it was easy for the snake spirit to throw its body towards the demon griffin and coil around the lion's midriff, constricting t it to death.
 Before the griffin pulled back its head and ate one of the snake's glowing red eyes or push Luna off her seat of power, she jumped unto the griffin and drove the sword into the dark demon griffin electrocuting it with the red lightning coming out of her weapon. 
Immobilized by the severe burns inflicted by the sword, the snake spirit strangled the griffin's neck before opening its jaws wide enough to swallow the demon griffin whole.


"I will make you my queen."

He grabbed the chains attached to the bed and closed the shackles around her wrists.

"I'm the High Priestess. You can't—"

Fear trembled through her mind and body.

She couldn’t consummate this marriage if the Blood Beast truly decided to make her his queen. Luna must remain a virgin High Priestess in order to remain a vessel for Hecate's magic.

"What are you planning to do?"

“I will make you mine no matter what so that I can take control of the Vampire King's consciousness forever. He  won’t be back anytime soon."

Luna thought the Blood Beast was out of his mind for wanting to make the virgin High Priestess his mate. The consequences of that would…

Her mind raced through all of the possible consequences.
There was no way she could allow the Blood Beast to gain any more power. Especially if he gained that power by drinking the blood that was, laced with Hecate’s magic, running through her veins.

She needed the Vampire King back.

The Blood Beast moved on top of her body. He stopped when he was eye-level with her. The sudden intimacy was shocking, especially since she was tied down. Chest to chest, he removed her cloak and peeled off her flimsy dress.

He growled. "If you struggle, I will rip your head off."

After having finished absorbing all of the spirit rings from the deceased wild wind baboons, Sun Wu's cultivation base then rapidly rose, increasing in age until he reached the peak of the ten year realm.
Sun Wu subsequently having reached the first bottleneck within his life, cultivating as a spirit beast, which he easily broke through without much difficulty. 
Sun Wu having successfully broken through the first cultivation limit of a spirit beast. He then directly advanced from a ten years old spirit beast to a hundred years old spirit beast.
Ding!
A ringing bell then resounded inside of Li Yan's head and Sun Wu, as the system log of the spirit grimoire is updated.
[Sun Wu has successfully advanced to a hundred years old spirit beast! All base attribute stats has been increased!]
Sun Wu's own body then began to undergo some changes, as it rapidly matures into adulthood; its bones becoming denser, leg and arm muscles becoming slightly more over developed, resembling a somewhat lean bodybuilder.
Sun Wu's face becoming slightly flatter, receding backwards a bit, and gaining a more humanoid look. With his teeths gradually becoming more aligned, growing into adult teeths, as four long canine teeths then protrudes out from the neat rows of adult teeths. 
Sun Wu's height reaching 6ft, almost surpassing the average adult male's height. Its body becoming less slouch and hunch over.
A white mane then grows around the adult Sun Wu's neck, signalling his passage into adulthood, as the skin on his fist darkens, gaining a more earthly tint and rust colour, making it alot tougher for something to penetrate through.
The breakthrough of Sun Wu advancing to a hundred years old spirit beast, then causes a large disturbance enough to garner attention, as a large influx of spiritual energy then rushes over towards Sun Wu's direction.
It then generated a turbulent gust of wind, with Sun Wu being in the epic centre of it all. It quickly blew the pink mist away off of the battlefield.
The thousand years old datura snake was slowly losing its home advantage, as the pink mist that was covering its surroundings were quickly dispersing.
Huo Yuhao and Tang Ya then looks at Sun Wu's figure in great shock, the same thing crossed their minds. 'It evolved.'
Huo Yuhao was busy contemplating when Daydream Ice Silkworm got involved, 'The ten years old yellow vervet monkey probably have absorbed all the white spirit rings of the deceased wild wind baboons, and added it on to his own cultivation base, in order to breakthrough the hundred years old threshold.'
'Daydream brother, doesn't this mean that it is possible for all of his future contract spirit beast to be able to continue on cultivating after becoming his spirit ring, with the unlikely chance of advancing to a hundred thousand years old spirit ring.' Huo Yuhao asked Daydream Ice Silkworm an important question.
'It is quite possible, but I'm not sure if his mortal human body can withstand it all 9 hundred thousand years old spirit ring.' Daydream Ice Silkworm said.
'But why is that, Daydream Ice Silkworm?' Huo Yuhao asked. 
'That is because a human body certainly have limits, and going over it could potentially destroy ones own body and soul.' Daydream Ice Silkworm said.
He then goes on to further explain, 'That is why you human beings have optimal spirit ring configuration, and any higher you would undoubtedly face a cultivation backlash or soul shock, but you're special case Huo Yuhao.' 
'What.' Huo Yuhao responded, with a quizzical look.
'I've modified your mortal human body, making it able to withstand my massive amounts of power, or otherwise you would have already exploded not being able to contain my power.' Daydream Ice Silkworm spoke to Huo Yuhao through the mental link.
This disturbance, Sun Wu is the cause of it, causing the thousand years old datura snake to greatly lose its home advantage, with the pink mist gradually dispersing and opening up weak points within the thousand years old datura snake's defense. 
This certainly greatly infuriates the thousand years old datura snake, enough to divert its attention for a short second. In which, Bei Bei didn't let this chance slip by.
'I will not let this chance slip by, whilst its attention is distracted.' Bei Bei thought, whilst charging in and engaging in combat with the thousand years old datura snake.
The thousand years old datura snake was also crafty. Its thousand years of cultivation had caused it to possess a certain amount of intelligence. 
The aura released from Bei Bei's body had already caused it to feel a considerable high level of danger. Since itself is unable to harm its opponent anymore, it suddenly spat out a mouthful of concentrated toxic pink mist towards Bei Bei's direction, before outright turning its body around in an attempt to run away.
However, Bei Bei had already expected this. "Humph!" He then loudly coldly snorted, and the violet blue light within his eyes suddenly turned profound. 
A layer of fragmented lightning then suddenly burst outwards from his body, forming a slight electric defensive barrier, forcibly burning the pink toxic mist and dispersed the majority of the pink mist.
At the same time, the thunderous dragon claw in his right hand then shot out towards the space diagonally to the left of him.

At this moment, the effects of Huo Yuhao's spirit eyes first spirit ring skill spiritual detection is still in full effect, and that is the reason as to why Bei Bei is able to clearly see and predict his opponent's path of escape.
When the thousand years old datura snake sprung forwards, it fled diagonally to the left in front of Bei Bei. 
However, at this moment, an enormous suction force appeared in the path that it had taken in order to escape, caused by Bei Bei's controlling crane capturing dragon technique, it was almost as if the thousand years old datura snake had simply delivered itself right into Bei Bei's hands. 
Once the enormous suction force had caught onto the thousand years old datura snake, its forward momentum was immediately came to a stopped, and an invisible hand then tightly wrapped around its snake like body.

With the threat of life and death looming over its head, the thousand years old datura snake then felt desperate, and its body immediately exploded outward with power. 
And a fierce pink light immediately shone out from the top of its head, as the thousands years old datura snake then lets out several sharp hisses. 
The flower like protrusion located on the top of its head suddenly exploded, and an arrow dart made of pink blood then flew straight at Bei Bei.
However, Bei Bei had already expected this and responded to it in advance. The instant before the flower like protrusion exploded out, the thunderous dragon claw on his right arm had already been launched, thereby unleashing a fearsome striking attack. 
The thunderous dragon claw landed on the body of the thousand years old datura snake in the same instant that the protrusion exploded.
The arrow made of pink blood had only flown several inches before it was swept away by the explosion. 
The Thunderous Dragon Claw that he had released had actually turned pink when it touched the pink blood. If it weren't for the fact that he was able to predict his opponent's movements, and seize a decisive opportunity, it might have been very troublesome for him if he had been infected by that blood arrow.
Bei Bei's figure flashed as he instantly charged forward. This time, the thousand years old datura snake had no countermeasures left. 
It was accurately grabbed by Bei Bei's right claw when it was only seven inches away from him. It still attempted to use its body to wrap around Bei Bei's, but directly lost consciousness after being struck by the terrifying lightning from Bei Bei's vigorous thunderbolt.

The violet blue light from his lightning vanished as Bei Bei finally relaxed, while a purple soul ring slowly condensed and formed above the thousand years old datura nake's head.
Tang Ya looked towards Bei Bei with an excited expression, and Bei Bei nodded back at her, "Quickly start. I didn't think that we'd meet a thousand-year soul beast at the edge of the Great Star Dou Forest. The quality of soul beasts in the Great Star Dou Forest has really increased."
Tang Ya giggled and said, "I didn't think that it'd go this smoothly. Protect me." Whilst speaking, she rapidly sat down in a cross-legged position beside the thousand years old datura snake.
