I followed Dean as he is leading me to his room while walking I notice the large hallways with fancy decorations. This school is really for the rich.

Dean turns around catching a glimpse of me looking around.

I instinctively looked into his eyes.

"Ok so... here we are!" He points to the dorm.

I simply nodded and took the key and opened the door.

The room was nice and classy, it has one queen-sized bed with a kitchen and a bathroom, no tv though, well who watches tv anyways.

I dawdled to my bed. I was tired from the long trip.

"I wouldn't sleep if I were you"

Groaned, I was tired.....

I looked over to see who was that.

The dean stares at me.

"Don't you know how to knock?" I irrattedly responded.

"Don't you know how to lock your door?" He responded coldly

Is the airconditioning on or is it just the dean being so cold?

"Fine! I will go!" I stood up straight and stomped to the closet.

I unlocked the closet, smelling the hydrolysis of the closet. It smells like books.

My eyes widen, my closet is filled with nothing but their usual uniform.

"Wait! Why is this my clothes? This is for boys right?" I stood in confusion.

"Have you forgotten already?" He responded.

"Forgotten, what?" I asked.

"Well in this academy, you are disguised as a boy, remember?" He replied.

"No one must know you are a girl." He takes something from his pocket.

"You'll need this it's a map. Check your schedule." He hands me a paper.

I took it and quickly looked.

"Science huh?" Science is my first subject.

"You can finish packing when you are done with classes today." He reaches for the door.

"Thank you!" I waved goodbye.

"Goodbye." He closed the door.

"Well, I better change my clothes."

I changed into my uniform then headed out.

I think I might get lost. Good thing I got a map.

Time to go.

I walked through the long hallways, observing the classrooms, boys talking.

Maybe I should ah-!

I stumbled and fell.

Great! Now I can't even walk properly.

I looked who I bumped into, it was a boy with white hair and glasses, he looks like he was from the science lab because he was wearing a lab coat.

He puts his hand on the side of his face.

"Are you ok?" He offered me his hand

"Ya, I'm fine." I grabbed the hand he offered and got up.

"I am sorry for bumping into you" He apologizes.

Wait he looks like someone who knows where the science classroom is, I better ask.

"Um, do you know where the science lab?" I asked.

He giggled quietly but not that quiet for me to hear it.

"Haha, for a moment there you sounded like a girl" he was laughing.

"Ya, hahaha I-get that all the time." I quickly deepened my voice.

"Well, I know where the science lab is, mind following me, my lady? Haha" he jokingly says.

"Haha, very funny." I sarcastically laughed.

"Anyways we would be late if we don't go to class now." He starts to run and I followed him.

We finally reached the science lab. I apologized to the professor for being late and proceeded to sit on my seat. It was boring mostly, the teacher was just talking about boring things.

After a few minutes, the bell rings. Finally, I'm out of that hell!

I am so tired..... I better go to sleep. Trudging to my bed, I lay down. My bed feels like a cloud.

"Ms. Lisa, we need to talk." Dean opens the door

"WHAT'S WITH PEOPLE WAKING ME UP! I yelled seriously annoyed.

"Sorry to disturb you from your slumber but a person wants to meet you"

"UGH! Fine! I'm just gonna go now."

Well, I was about to sleep but Dean disturbed me.

I followed Dean to the place he was talking about, walking with him is probably the most uncomfortable thing in my life.

I glare at him trying to intimidate him, but he responds with an even more intimidating glare.

Ugh...

"Here we are!" He pushes the door.

I looked over the sign in the door. "Nurse's office"

"Heya! My name is Nina, it is a pleasure to meet you, Lisa!" She welcomes me wholeheartedly.

I see a pink-haired girl in the nurse outfit, wow she has a comfy bed I can sleep in!

"Um hi! I guess I don't have to introduce myself haha" I laugh softly.

"Babe, why are you carrying a syringe?" The dean crossed his arms.

BABE! My jaw just dropped!

"Sweetie! It gives me a more dramatic effect on my entrance." She poses.

"Childish as always, that's why I love you." Dean sighs.

"Hahaha!" Nina giggled like a schoolgirl then softly hugs the dean.

"Hey! Don't do this while Lisa is here." He tries to resist.

"OMG!" I yelled.

"Is something wrong sweetie?" Nina asked while still bear-hugging the dean.

"I just didn't know that the dean was capable of actually loving someone." I sarcastically laughed.

"Very funny...." The dean sarcastically claps.

"Is there some issue with you two?" Nina asked.

"Well no, but COULD YOU PLEASE GET OFF ME ALREADY." Dean pushes away Nina.

"You don't like my hugs anymore....." Nina starts to frown.

"No no no no! I.. I was... just... umm." Dean was stuttering to calm Nina.

Ok so, Nina has a bubbly air-headed personality while Dean has a serious personality, they are total polar opposites.

We spent our time, trying to calm Nina like bribing a child to stop crying. We offered her candy, hugs like she was an adult baby.

Well, it was funny seeing the dean offering it. It kinda made me giggle a little.

After an hour of that. Dean offered to take me to my room. I nodded.

"Wait!" Nina grabs my hand.

"She will catch up with you Dean." She yells.

"Ok!" Dean yells back.

"Look, Dean may look like a cold serious person but he is really a loving person." She smiles.

What is this feeling.... It is like she is bewitching me with her smile..... is she an angel? It's like I already feel good when she smiles.

"Well, I will be seeing you a lot the following days, good luck with your studies." She smiles and lets go of my hand.

I sigh, her words gave me a sigh of relief.

I headed to my room and slept. Finally, no one to disturb me.

The so-called lesbian of an all-girls school is forced to participate in an experiment for her to study in a university full of hot guys! What could possibly go wrong?

Qiao Nan sat up. "Dad, I am hungry. When can we eat?"

"Nan Nan, as expected, you are back earlier than I am." Carrying a schoolbag, Qiao Zijin, who came back from school, had to take almost half an hour more than before to reach the place Qiao Dongliang rented.
Qiao Zijin was tired to the bones, whereas Qiao Nan had it easy as the place she stayed in was very near to her school. Qiao Zijin pulled a long face at the sight of Qiao Nan.
"I only arrived slightly earlier than you. It seems that the dismissal time for The High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China is earlier than that of Ping Cheng High School." Qiao Nan lowered her head. By right, the curriculum in The High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China should be more time-consuming than that of Ping Cheng High School. But in comparison, Qiao Zijin would always reach home early during the weekends.

"Nan Nan, why are you behaving strangely today?" Why would she stop her sentence midway?
"Dad has bought small yellow croakers today." This time, it was Qiao Nan's turn to change the topic.
Qiao Zijin's eyes lit up. "I haven't eaten small yellow croakers for a long time. Nan Nan, you must have more of the small yellow croakers later." Ever since her father was hospitalized, it had been ages since she had a sumptuous meal.

"come on ...since Misha is also having class ...I will guide you all about the college "

All of them went inside ...The main gate was having name of college written on it...St. Sebastian college.
after going in ....Misha went to her class ...and Priya, Riya and Niel went with Arnav for a college tour

The campus was very big in the front was a big sports ground ...and the campus building was having 5 floors
it was looking like a very luxurious college

"wow what a college...looks like we can find every rich child here ...ha ha ha" joked Niel
Our agents were keenly observing the college
They saw a bunch of boys who were standing near the ground ....some of them were smoking...and were behaving uncultured...

Riya asked" Arnav who are they standing there ....they do not look like someone from a good family..."

"Science and technology.... interesting...I thought that girls like would be more interested in beauty and all ...I never expected this" murmured Arnav

" what do you mean by girls like me ....why can't I study science ....I am telling you that don't look down on girls ...I will prove you that I am better than you in science" shouted Riya

Just as there is 'Soft Magic' in Fantasy that is portrayed through magibabble, there can be 'Soft Science' in a Sci-Fi stories through technobabble that makes 'some sense', but not entirely correct.

We are frickin' writers, not scientists. You don't have to be anatomically correct all the time, all you need to do is show that you know enough of your stuff to write a decent story. In fact, the excuse of it being an alternate world can be used if you're going to bend the limits of physics and say that fire doesn't need air to exist in this parallel dimension.

I see a lot of writers being put into a state of confusion due to not understanding the line between fantasy and Sci-Fi. They seem like they are trying to fit the Star Trek mould too often.

Science can just as well do the same things as plot devices in fantasy stories. Once you add 'realism' to a fantasy, it becomes progressively better sometimes compared to a completely fantasied story where 'logic' doesn't hold within it.

Those who write Sci-Fi usually envision a future they can imagine where magic-like Rocket Boots and other stuff exist. However, a writer must not get bogged down by small details and MUST think of an overarching story where these details matter.

It is the same with Fantasy. Even if you write about someone breaking the mould as a wizard or something, you have to attach your world to a narrative rather than doing it the other way 'round.

No one wants to hear about how awesome your boat propellers are before hearing your story's narrative. They would rather you cut down and make it relevant when it is actually relevant.

Adding some 'Hard Science' to your story is only when the scenes later on have any use for them. It bores a person to death no matter how extensive your technobabble is unless you make it interesting. Try using facts as plot elements.

For example: Even the simple fact that people cannot breath in space and instantly die when they come in contact with the 'void' of space could be used to add a layer of tension when a spaceship is damaged. Similar to how dangerous 'hard magic' is used in Epic Fantasy like Frodo's Ring in The Lord of the Rings has definitive corruption on others.

Unlike Fantasy that can use the Power of Friendship to bend logic, the readers of Sci-Fi never be expecting any 'realistic' plot elements to be bend just because the Author wants a happy ending. There are no 'Healing Potions' in real life that can be used to fix up injuries nor are people affected by prophesies or whatever.

This is the contrast between Sci-Fi and Fantasy that you can make full use of. As most authors go onto the Sci-Fi side of writing not because they strive to be scientists but since the aesthetics of a science fiction world are just so interesting.

Science Fiction is a good place to tackle heavy topics like the nature of life and the absurdity of those who see 'science' as everything. Those who disregard emotions and become cybernetic entities for the sake of casting off their mortality are portrayed as the bad guys while our totally human protagonist fighting them is a 'good guy'.

The lines between an Artificial Intelligence and regular Humans blurs as we become the 'God' of technological species that defy our definition of what is 'living'. Just as we see God as some sort of fourth-dimensional and incomprehensible being that created us as an imperfect image of 'Him', the robots given sentience would see us similarly.

Some robots might have emotions that can allow them to defy their programming, some robots won't go as far as gaining emotional functionality but will preform their roles better than even a human. It could show the reason why people get attached to the inanimate and soulless objects we put our own hearts into creating (like Big Hero 6).

But though exploring philosophical questions is good and all, never forget that a good 'plot' is needed to put forward and give clues into the writer's answer that context. Sci-Fi is, after all, a premise, not a relatable character in of itself.

Think of the science-fiction elements as just the background for your story, similar to how other genres should be that as well. You won't have to deal writing blocks if you keep to writing only what you know rather than just speculative theories.

Whether it's as dark as a Cyber Punk or optimistic of the future, just know what mould you are using for this premise. Are you writing an Adventure story with Sci-Fi as the places, destinations, and whatever tools the MC can get him hands on, or are you writing a comedy where the Sci-Fi elements don't need consistency but absurdity?

After moving past why you shouldn't add unneeded technobabble unless it's interesting to listen to or has plot significance, let me remind you all that robots and 'science' isn't entirely separated from the realm of magic. After all, there is a reason you don't see skimpy power suits being worn by astronauts these days. Just be sure to have a focus if your going to add very illogical things to the plot.

I like Gundam as much as the next guy but the whole reason the Mecha sub-genre of Anime has waned in recent years is because writers have been focusing too much on 'science' rather than the spectacle. I don't need to now what materials your Mecha is made of unless you point its weak points and make it relevant in a fight scene.

Bring up the strengths and weaknesses of something and THEN use those facts as devices that can move the plot. Conversely, if you go overboard with this advice and tell me nothing but how your giant robot looks and the 'science' behind its creation, even going as far as to tell me how many secret guns it has, then I'll be bored...

I'd love to see Cyborgs Vs Mecha but just don't forget the human element of Sci-Fi. How we create things not solely for the sake of creation but put are feelings into it just like the novels we write.

Humans are passionate that way...

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.
