Just Series #2: Just Between

Su Li and Luo Pingxiang noticed Xiao Luo's rapid progress, and both of them were surprised when they saw his natural movements that appeared to be as smooth as the flowing water.
"I must say, Mr. Xiao Luo's ability to quickly learn something is just impressive. In just a few rounds, he's already mastered the essential skills needed to roller-skate. The progress he has made is simply incredible."
Luo Pingxiang watched Xiao Luo skating in disbelief, and his sudden improvement was actually quite shocking. If she hadn't known that Xiao Luo was just a beginner who fell flat on the floor earlier on, she'd have assumed that he was a professional skater.
Su Li's eyes were filled with a different kind of emotion. When she recalled the snide remarks that she had directed at Xiao Luo earlier when he had taken a fall, her cheeks instantly turned red. But still, she was filled with an unwillingness to admit defeat. She could accept that Xiao Luo was better than her in many other areas but not in roller-skating, for it was one of her strengths, as she had been skating since high school. If she couldn't even beat this man, then it would all turn out to be rather embarrassing for her.
"Help me take care of Su Xiaobei!"
Su Li said to Luo Pingxiang before she pushed out toward Xiao Luo.
As Xiao Luo was still trying to figure out the essential skills needed to properly skate, Su Li suddenly flashed past and overtook him. On top of that, she turned around and shot him a provocative glare. It was just like when you were driving on the road, and another driver overtook you, provoking you to overtake her.
The chauvinistic streak in Xiao Luo did not allow him to let this slide. She had looked down on him earlier on, and now in the face of this provocation, Xiao Luo decided that enough was enough. He thought to himself, so you want to challenge me, well, I'm not scared of you!
He instantly dashed after Su Li, putting all his strength into his legs and pushing off, bringing his center of gravity slightly forward. In that instant, just like an arrow, his speed increased tremendously!
Su Li noticing that Xiao Luo had taken up her challenge and decided to put up a confident and superior look on her face. She didn't want to lose. Her legs moved in a swift criss-cross action, and her gliding speed increased drastically. She was just like a white fox in the wild, and her movements were stunning.
The two of them moved at speeds as fast as the wind, with one in front of the other.
In the end, both of them were moving in line with Xiao Luo taking the outer lane. They were like a skating duo, and their movements were elegant and totally in sync. It wasn't just their left and right legs; even the swinging of their arms was in sync as well. It was beauty in motion, no matter how you looked at it.
Su Xiaobei was right beside Luo Pingxiang, watching the pair in the rink. "Sister Pingxiang, are Daddy and Mummy racing?" Su Xiaobei asked, blinking her large eyes in excitement.
"Yes, it seems like that is the case. Look at their chemistry, even their movements are so in sync," Luo Pingxiang exclaimed.
The little girl was eager to join them and said, "I want to go as well."
"Bei Bei, don't go, we'll just watch them from here and see if your Daddy or Mummy is better, alright?"
Luo Pingxiang, who was afraid that Su Xiaobei might injure herself if she went, tried to stop her.
The little girl was an obedient child and was easily convinced to stay back. In any case, she was more interested in finding out who would win the race instead of joining the race. So, she nodded her head and said, "Alright."
She then clenched her little fists and shouted with all the breath she could muster, "Daddy, do your best, Mummy, do your best... but Daddy, try to do a little better!"
Luo Pingxiang didn't know whether to laugh or cry. It was so apparent that she was more biased toward Xiao Luo.
Both of their speeds were evenly matched in the rink. Su Li suddenly made a 180-degree turn and started to skate backward while maintaining the original direction, and she did this while maintaining the same speed.
"Can you do this too?"
She said, pouting her lips and rushing towards Xiao Luo.
Xiao Luo slowly recalled the actions she did earlier on, chuckled, and said, "I can give it a try."
After saying that, he made a wrong 180-degree turn, and he stumbled for a few steps, coming off like he was performing Michael Jackson's moonwalk. But after a short while, he managed to reverse-skate like Su Li and skated at the same speed as well. Though he did make some mistakes while making the turn, it could still be considered to be relatively smooth.
Su Li opened her mouth wide, visibly shocked. Xiao Luo was, only moments ago, still learning the basics of skating, but in just minutes, he was already performing like a professional skater. How was it that this guy could learn something that quickly?
All she knew was that Xiao Luo wasn't putting on an act, for there was no reason for him to pretend to be a beginner.
She pursed her lips, swiveled around, and continued to skate in a forward-facing position. Then, she made a 90-degree turn and banked into the wavy track in the center part of the rink without warning.
The wavy track had three ridges and two troughs. A beginner who tried to complete this track was bound to lose balance and fall over. That being said, even a skater who was at a higher level might not have a hundred percent chance of completing this course either.
But Su Li clearly didn't belong to such categories, for she didn't feel any pressure at all and was able to maintain her balance perfectly well, clearing the wavy track in one try. She then made a dead stop at the other end of the wavy track, turned around, and looked at Xiao Luo, implying that it was his turn to do it.
When she looked at a Xiao Luo attempting to rush forward without much thought, she warned him, "Don't rush if you're not confident enough; otherwise, the fall is going to be very painful!"
"Don't worry about it!"
Xiao Luo laughed a little. The skates he was wearing now felt like any regular shoes to him. Although he was not thoroughly used to it yet, he was at least eighty to ninety percent comfortable with it.
He moved both of his legs really quickly, sped up, and rushed towards the wavy track. Leaning towards one side, he completed the wavy track in one try as well, and just like Su Li, he stopped dead at the end of the track and maintained his posture really well.
"Daddy is really impressive!" Su Xiaobei screamed, clapping happily and cheering.
Luo Pingxiang muttered to herself, "Mr. Xiao Luo is way too scary."
Xiao Luo was already much better than her because even she couldn't safely complete the wavy track.
Su Li furrowed her eyebrows, and her delicate face wore an expression of bewilderment. This guy was good at basketball, could speak multiple foreign languages, could drift race, and was now mastering roller-skating. Could it be that he was a genius?
"Miss Su, are there any other techniques you'd like to show me?" Xiao Luo said. His intentions were genuine, as since he was already learning it, he might try to master all the techniques while he was at it.
As soon as Su Li heard that, her face turned dark as she misread his candor and felt like he was trying to show off. "Later, I'll show you the techniques that I've been practicing for five years," she replied. Then, she called out to Luo Pingxiang and said, "Pingxiang, go see the boss and ask him to bring me 20 identical cups."
"Yes, Sis."
After receiving the request, Luo Pingxiang rushed toward the front door.
Not long after, the skating rink boss and a few of his staff members brought 20 cups and placed them in a straight line, each of them equally apart from one another.
"Is she trying to perform figure skating?"
The boss didn't leave immediately but stood nearby to watch.
Figure skating was a level above regular roller-skating. The shoes that their rink provided were inline skates, similar to ice-skating shoes, and therefore they allowed one to perform figure skating with them. On an international scene, there were even competitions for this. Some of them competed in terms of speed, while others contended based on form and technique, to see who performed better. With the use of twenty cups as markers, this competition was obviously a technique-based challenge to see who demonstrated a higher level of performance.
"Mummy is going to dance soon!"
Su Xiaobei laughed happily and then obediently sat at a small stone stool at the skating rink side. Just like how she excitedly waited for the movie to start earlier on, she now stared ahead without blinking her eyes and gently swung both of her legs.
This was obviously not the first time she watched Su Li perform figure skating, and she undoubtedly had high expectations of Su Li's prowess in figure skating; otherwise, she wouldn't be this excited.


Xiao Luo and his girlfriend had been in love with each other for four years when she proposed a break up. Because of this, Xiao Luo sped his car in the night and ended up in a car accident. But it was a blessing in disguise as he unexpectedly fused with a high tech system that originated from a universe hundreds of billions of light years away. Everyday I lay there and wonder what the world would be like without us ultimates. would there still be young adults trying to live up to their high school titles or would we all be equal in our quest for the meaning of life? There is always a meaning but i consider my talent useless in many ways as if I was able to fight a disease with my talent it would be useful or save someone from a burning building or even make someone well up with tears with excitement at something I created. But no, I'm only known as the Ultimate Chess player; my name isn't necessary but I'll say it to remember for later. Alex swallow. It's an odd name I know; but it's mine and only mine. I stared at my reflection for a while:
 
I look so ugly. I don't know if I'm having a mid life crisis or a panic over everything. But I should probably explain why a 21 year old I having a crisis and my reflective state over my talent.
It all started when received quite a mysterious letter at my doorstep today. it Read as follows.

October 31st
Dear mister Alex swallow,
we are writing to you to inform you of an amazing opportunity to meet ultimates in different fields as you on a new relaxing and refreshing vacation to the Bahamas. Please come and join us in the vacation of a lifetime. It is on November the 7th and we want you to arrive at 12pm sharp at Rookside airport. Please pack all essential items and be prepared for the trip of you life time. we hope to see you there

This letter invited me to a high up event even though my talent is one of the weakest listed in the online forums. the forums list off ultimates titles and how they gained them such as the Ultimate Podcaster who gained his title for his coverage of many scandals and allegations in his podcast leading to an arrest on a cold case, there was also the Ultimate Roller Skater who you can guess got her title for skating but she is fabled to be the world's best at skating and hurting people in those contact sports. Finally my personal favourite one the Ultimate librettist who is listed as a terrible singer but she is a great playwright for the operas. But, I couldn't find anything about myself or my heritage on the forum which was reliving to say the least.
I soon left for the airport in my car; buckling myself safely in so I don't get arrested for anything . the drive was slow and boring almost as if it was trying to mirror my thoughts about a holiday in the Bahamas. I arrived at the airport car park and I decided to wander to the trunk of my car to gain my suitcase but I was soon started to feel heavy, a jab of pain and quite dizzy while when I looked down I saw a chloroform rag and some needle sticking inside my arm. I began to fight but soon my body gave into the drugs inside my system and passed out. while I fought for consciousness I heard a clunk and the words
"Did you get him?" As I heard that and my eyes closed while I soon drifted away.
*Bang* 
What the heck? I was startled awake and trying to discover my bearings to see myself stuck somewhere. I tried to look around the room but it was so small and confined me to standing straight. I felt around the room to discover the walls were all the same. But there were also grates on one of the walls leading me to believe this is a locker. There must be hinges to over power and open the door; so I began to ram my shoulder against the wall with the grates. It soon began to give way and I fell towards the floor. My face slammed against the floor. I winced in pain and agony as I dragged myself off the floor and began to survey my surroundings.
The left wall is lined by lockers and the only one open is the one I've just fallen out of. There is also some benches lined up and the right side of the wall have motivational posters lining it with some stupidly cheap quotes such as " you can do it." and " Never give up your dreams!" jeez those posters always piss me off. I look down to the ground to find two women sleeping or maybe even dead on the floor. I looked over at the first woman on the floor she is laying there in a large purple dress with stars all over it. she has long purple hair with glitter chunks near it and some beautiful jewellery hanging from her ears and starry necklaces. while the other woman has large pads on her knees and other joints With a large shirt with Roller lady written on it and had some shorts and a pair of roller skates on her feet. This must be the ultimate roller skater and maybe the librettist i read about. Should I check to see if they are alive? Maybe. But they could have brought me here? Why does this have to be so stressful!
With human decency in mind I should. Not the roller lady because I don't want one of her pads on my crotch or to the face. I began to shake and try to wake the nicely dressed lady. she has a warm pulse and seems quite heavily sedated. I continue to shake and try to wake her up but with no success. I should have a go waking up the other lady. I began to poke her and she also seemed quite sedated however it was way less than the other lady. I soon hear a yawn and I jumped back just as she swung her arm down to where I was.
" *yawn* Ugh what the heck?" the roller tried to stand up but she slipped down because of her roller skates.
" Do you need a helping hand? I can see you can't up due to the skates." I said smiling at her to try and make her feel comfortable.
"hell yea, but dude do you know where we at?" she holds her hands out as I grab onto her heaving her up towards the benches. I sat her up while she looked at me. She looks like the kind of woman who wears her heart on her sleeve.
" I'm very sorry I'm quite inebriated and I don't know where we are. I don't even understand how I got here or what even is here?"I said as she looks at me with a stunned face while I look at her hoping for a response.
"Really? Dude! Same here! I just woke up and here you are standing just as rigged up as me!" she said looking down at the plaster on her arm.
" rigged up?" I said quite discombobulated at the statement.
" rigged up means like jabbed and drugged! I can prove It both you and me with dem circular plasters on our forearms. " she replied with proudly like she had just solved a large mystery. I looked down to see a plaster also on my right forearm.
" who are you?" I asked her while she looked at me with a smile on her face.
" Me? I'm Anita Checovick and I'm the Ultimate Roller Skater. so who are you?"
 
" The name is Alex Swallow and I'm the Ultimate Chess Player but I wish I didn't have the talent." Anita seems a bit upset at what I said.
" What you don't know how great being an ultimate is." Anita says standing up and skating around the room.
" I don't like my talent! It's boring and makes me analytical." I said looking at her hitting the lockers trying to see if they are open.
"Hey they don't open at all! except for that one!"
" I fell out of that one, it hurt quite a lot."
"*yawn* Excuse moi? do you understand anglaise?" the second lady looks at us after we speak about it.
" We do understand English Mademoiselle, now do you want a hand to sit on the bench." I said holding my hand out for her. She looks at me and grabs on while Anita skates around.
"Thank you darling, I feel a bit dizzy today and I don't know why." she says rubbing her forehead and wiping away the sweat.
" Ooh I love your dress! It's so sparkly and fits to your body perfectly."
" Merci beaucoup mademoiselle; um may i know who you are?" she said quite nervously messing with her strand of hair.
" My name is Anita Checovick! The Ultimate Roller Skater." Anita said as she shook the ladies hands
" Alex Swallow Ultimate Chess player." I look at her. she looks like the passive aggressive woman who hides all her secrets from others.
" Now what's your name honey!" Anita said while jumping up and down. I'm Quite surprised she hasn't fallen yet .
" The name is Danica Villin. I am the Ultimate Party hostess. I plan and host parties all around the globe but at mostly on my home turf of France." huh I guess she is quite French and must know about having a good time.
 
" ah parties, sound like so much fun! I wish I could go but I'm usually on a tight schedule. with all of my training" Anita says sitting back down huffing and puffing from moving round the room.
" Parties a drab excuse for a fun time. I hate them and all the people who associate them within it." I said looking at the women.
" You seem quite upset sir. I didn't think parties were so atrocious especially to a man who sits there moving pieces for a few hours." Danica says
" I'm sorry I didn't mean any offence at all I just don't like social gathering at all. not even to celebrate my success I enjoyed whiskey alone."
" What age even are you!" Anita asked
" I'm 22. So I can drink all I want. but I only drink to celebrate a special occasion." I said but it's true I only drink whenever I win or need to forget something or more often someone.
" Tell us more! Pretty please with a cherry on top!" Anita says holding her hands up in excitement.
" I can't seriously. It hurts me to remember ." I hold my head trying to block out the pain of remembering that night and all that happened afterwards.
" Anita don't ask people on serious issues. it's something we shouldn't press people too hard on." Danica says staring down at Anita with a fuel burning within her eyes.
" Ah I see. I won't ask any more." Anita says but please don't ask anymore questions as I would rather get out of here and figure out the situation at hand.
*Bang* * Bang* 
We all jumped out of our skin
" what was that loud crash!" Danica asked.
" It seemed to come from a locker; but you checked them all Anita." I said pondering the existence of the sound.
" I'm not so sure we are alone! Could it be a wolf or something that could hurt us all." Danica said panic streaming through her voice.
" This is exciting. we should check the whole room first. then clear the floor and leave through the door." I said; this plan is formulating in my mind ready to kill the people who brought is here.
" So operation locker shock! let's do it!" Anita says
" Yes skate to the Locker and we will follow behind. then no noise except for a bang you make on the locker. we will find out if anything is in these lockers. if so we kill it unless it's human. Then we drag it out and kill it or enslave it to give us all the information we want ." I said looking at everyone.
" Agreed lets do it." Danica says lifting up her skirt and being ready to sneak around the room.
" yeah I'm down to bang on lockers." Anita says looking so gullible.
she soon skates to the first Locker while me and Danica follow behind. she signals with her hand that she's ready and we brace for impact. Anita bangs her shoulder as hard as she can against the locker then she backs away as we all look at the locker and wait for a noise. Nothing rings out through the air. We move to the next locker. the same thing happens, we repeated this to the last locker where she banged on it and a noise came from within.
" *crying* H..h..h..el..p..p m..m..e." a mysterious voice echoed from within. it sounded feminine and quite frightened just like we were.
" This can't be killed." Danica says looking at us
" Yeah we can't Alex! It's human like us and is scared so not a kidnapper." Anita says
" Fine. open the locker and bring it out. if it has a bandage or plaster on it's arm . We let it go. If not we hold it hostage for answers." We all nodded as Anita swung open the door to find a young man in overalls crying.
" Who even are you and why did you shove me in a locker." He looks at us all with fear in his eyes, this must mean he is innocent like us and wrapped in this strange incident. While I look at him danica leans down and helps him out the coffin to the bench.
" The name is Danica Villin and I'm the Ultimate Party host. We don't know much since we all woke up in here as well but we will figure out a way out of this situation."
" The names Anita, ultimate roller skater and that is Alex and he's the ultimate show off!"
" No I'm the Ultimate chess player. Pleasure to make your acquaintance mister ?" I hesitate to speak and I look at him worried.
" J...j..jin T....Takimoto. ultimate plushie maker." He says looking at us all.
 
" What a lovely name! So you make stuffed animals! Can you make me one?" Anita says clutching her hands together.
" M...maybe, ...w..when I have my equipment and I .f...feel safe." jin says while shaking like a rattlesnake's tail. 
" Yay! When we make you feel safe I want a phoenix with roller skates  holding up a megaphone with candy inside it's mouth. With glitter, Lots of Glitter!" 
" umm...i..I" Jin starts speaking but I interrupt him 
" Anita now is not the time! We need a game plan for the future." I said looking at her with scorn in my eyes. She's so unbelievably stupid so much for being the sharpest tools of society.
"Please stop analysing everyone Alex. we need to stand together in this situation." Danica says pointing her finger in my direction 
"If you can get me out of this situation then I will work with you." I said 
" Oh so you don't know each other and you are all ultimates." Jin says confused 
"Exactly! Maybe we all got drunk and fell asleep in here!" Anita says smiling at her own theory 
" I'm sorry I don't drink alcohol. " Danica says 
"True but I'm 17. it's illegal for me to drink." jin says 
" You're 17 i'm only 20, damn you make me feel old." Anita says slapping her thigh. It's surprising that he's 17 I thought jin would be at least 20 like Anita but oh well at least he's easier to understand than her. 
" Back on topic. this means it's not age factoring into this incident and it's not an accident. so this must be evil  intent. but we should formulate a plan." 
" Ooh Ooh I have a plan! Go round where ever we are in partners, to scope out the school. Then report back here." Anita says. so she actually has a Brain and it's alive. 
"I say that Is a good idea." Danica says. 
"I...i... agree. what about you Alex?" Jin says cowering in a fetal position. 
" I would have to agree with Anita that is the most likely thing to do in this scenario." I say while looking at the team of people I'm stuck with for now. 
" So who do you choose Alex to be your partner?" Danica says staring at me 
Lets go over my options first. if i went With Anita she is loud, obnoxious, causes me headaches and is very much a pain to be around but on the plus side she is a powerhouse when it comes to strength and agility. but if I go with Jin he has no agility and strength to my knowledge , is an  anxiety ridden  mess, can't stand his own ground which takes him out of the running. not much is known about Danica other than she is kind of motherly to Jin which may help them gain my trust if I out them together and I take the loud mouth helping Danica calm Jin down enough to think logically. 
" I will take Anita, so that leaves jin and Danica together." I say looking at Danica, she nods at me and looks away to Jin. 
" Thank you, so shall you and Anita get going." Danica says signalling us to leave. 
" Lets a go! come on Alex be happy, you chose me." Anita grabs onto my arm and drags me out of the door. 
We enter into a reception area with a large desk, computers which look turned off, there are cameras and a television hanging on the wall, there is also a large sign for a hotel with a couple of doors down the hallway. The lights are off and it seems very scary. 
" Alex can I hold your hand?" Anita asks
" Why Anita? It's not that scary." I say but she clings onto my arm anyway. 
" Thanks Alex, I can't wait to got out of the dark." 
" I guess so; the dark is interesting though as it's easy for sneak attacks." 
" Do you think I could sneak attack people?" Anita asks 
" I believe you would be good." I said looking at her curling into my arm. 
*scream* 
"  ALEX! what was that? a monster? Kidnapper or maybe even a dead body?" she curls deeper into my arm like a boa constrictor.
" We should go and investiagte the noise, be prepared to kick someone Anita with that big boot of yours." 
" I won't kick someone! it's indecent." 
" They will just kill you! let's go then and I'll kick them!" I said whilst running towards the large doors at the end of the winding hallway. Anita skates behind me yelling for me to come back but I know this could be our escape route or a kidnapper who we can question. I wait at the bright blue door for Anita to skate up and as she arrives she yells 
" What was that for!" I ignored her yells and tested the handle, it was unlocked. All I can think is that I should investigate. my hand twists open the door with the handle to see a room of darkness with another shriek coming from within. I run inside and my eyes settle upon the noise maker and they widen with confusion and intrigue.

An island off the coast of the mainland of America seems to be a safe sanctity but as Alex swallow discovers the whole place was a lie; he is now thrown into a game of death with many other people who are only tied by being ultimates in their field. so will Alex live to tell the tale of the tragedy of this place or will he become a statistic that is killed in a horrific event in the history.

"Here they come" said Niijima as he looked at 10 people walking towards them, "Shit! there are 10 of them"

"H-How are we going to fight this many" asked Matsui.

Saeko, Miu and Renka can you three work together and take on 5 of them" asked Niijima from the three girls.

The three looked at each other and nodded there head.

"Good then Takeda and the others will handle one each and will come to aid you when they are able to deal with their opponent" Niijima said.

None of them had any objection as it was the best they could do.

The 10 people reached the gate of Shinpaku Alliance 9 of them were wearing the same type of uniform or battle suit that was dark in color having shoulder pads and all giving a ninja type feel and only one girl was different.

 The girl that was standing in the middle of the group wearing a tight red battle outfit with a helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, a groin pad, and knee-pads. She also wears gloves, goggles, and boots giving her a type of skater appearance.

"Where is Kenichi Shirahama!?" asked the girl with skater outfit.

"He isn't here. Went on a trip with his master." replied Miu.

"Huh!? The strongest Disciple ran away!?" said a man beside the skater girl.

"Hmnp....His life doesn't revolve around you people. He has many important things to do." Renka snorted.

"It doesn't matter you will tell us where he is otherwise you won't be able to tell anything after we are done with you" said the girl standing on the left of the skater.

"I promised Kenichi that this Shinpaku Alliance of his won't be destroyed until I am here and I will fulfill it 'It's a man's decision after all' " said Saeko as she took out a wooden Katana not taking out her sword as her father has told her to do it until she can use the wooden sword to cut metal with it.

"We will see about that" saying so the 10 underlings of Yomi attacked the Shinpaku Alliance.

Kisara jumped towards the skater girl and Kaname also moved towards the only women beside the skater girl and she was the only other person other then the guy who called Kenichi a run away who was not wearing a mask.

Takeda took on the man who called Kenichi a run away, Siegfried faced another man wearing a mask same as Thor while the other five men were standing against Saeko, Miu and Renka circling around them but the three girls had their back around each other and didn't looked  like they would be needing help.

"Yo can I get a name!? I am Takeda Ikki" asked Takeda as he put up his fists.

"You don't need to know names since you are going to die" replied the opponent as he charged in, "Just know you will die to the Zashin Taish-ryuu"

"Lalalalala! Come and Let us battle! sang Siegfried, "Let the glorious song of my master fill you! I can sense darkness in the heart of yours!"

"Hmph... What a weird one did I get!? This will end faster then I thought" thought the man fighting against Siegfried.

"So is the person I am gonna fight also without name" asked Kaname

"Only worthy Opponents get to know our name since we don't want the unworthy to even speak our name" replied the female

Hmph, so i get to fight the other female," said Kisara , "You got a name!? Or should I call you skatey since you like to skate so much"

"....Raichi Li" replied the female, "It'll be the last name you will know before you die"

"Ooh, ominous," Kisara shot back, "Nanjo Kisara. It will be the last name you remember before I knock you the fuck out."

"I am Yuma Chiaki also known as Thor and I will be the man to show you the greatness of Combat Sumo" Thor said.

"Yeah Yeah let's get this over with" said the man fighting Thor, "By the way name's Mark I should at least tell you the name of the man who beat you" 

Saeko, Miu and Renka weren't even looking at the 5 people circling around the them as they were busy Talking to each other.

"OK, the one who takes out their opponent fastest will deal with the other two" Miu said.

"Yes, but it's bland why don't we add something else as well" Renka said.

"What!?" asked Saeko

"The one who beat their opponent the fastest fight and get's to fight against the other two can have a date with Kenichi for a whole day" Renka said.

"hmm.... a competition against friends can be rather helpful in the overall advancement so i am in" Saeko said.

"Umm..... you guys know that this bet means nothing as Kenichi won't have a full day off since the Masters at Ryozanpaku won't let that happen" Miu explained.

"Yeah but that's Kneichi's headache all we got to do is tell him the result of our bet and let him make time for the winner." Renka said with a smile  "So What do you say!?"

"Ok I am in as well" Miu smiled.

"You bitches... How dare you look down on us" said A man who was surrounding the girls and jumped towards them along with his fellow comrades but the three girls didn't even cared about them as what they wanted to do was win the bet and only that was the thing that got them excited.

Miu jumped in the air as if she had wings and with a somersault in the air kicked the man who cursed at them with both his legs stomping on his face. Whereas Renka dodge attack of a man by spinning to the left then raised her leg and with the momentum from the spin kicked the man on his face, while Saeko just dodged the kick from the man attacking her and slashed her wooden sword towards him cutting open the man, though the cut wasn't that deep but it was enough to incapacitate him for the rest of the fight.

"""I did it""" shouted the three girls at once as they looked at each other shocking everyone who was there to stop their fight and look at their direction.

Niijima who heard the whole exchange coudn't help but sigh as he said "Oh boy.....

Luck wasn't on his side as when he was just few steps away from becoming the world champion in karate he was killed by his by his opponents scheme who was afraid to fight against him and wanted the cup. But he was once again given a chance to reborn as Kenichi Shirahama and become the strongest martial artist.

The reason for that question is that Kim Hyejin thought anybody above ten years old should be looking tall. But the person sitting in front of her was not tall at all. He seemed to be the shortest of his agemates.
Ahn Ye Jun seemed offended by that question, but he tried to remind her as kindly as possible.
"Jin'er, don't talk about my height, it is my weak point."
Kim Hyejin gazed at him for a while before nodding her head in agreement.
"Good girl." Ahn Ye Jun replied with a satisfactory smile on his face as he ruffled her hair, but Kim Hyejin hit the naughty hand away.
"Don't touch my hair!." She ordered as she touched her with both hands in attempt to arrange it
"Sorry.....my bad. Since you don't have a phone yet input your mum's number." Ahn Ye Jun asked as he passed his phone to her.
Without taking the phone from him, Kim Hyejin replied "I don't know it."
Looking disappointed, Ahn Ye Jun slipped his phone back inside his pocket.
Not being able to hold it back, he suddenly started advising her.
"Jin'er, you have to learn your mother's contact number in case of emergencies. Tell me, do you know your home address so I can come and visit you?." 
"No." Kim Hyejin replied with her head lowered. It was obvious that she was feeling bad.
"Jin'er, I'm sorry for lecturing you. It's not your fault. All you have to do is tell you mama to teach, and she will." Ahn Ye Jun said to her in a soft tone, and only then did Kin Hyejin nod before raising her head.
"Who is that little child to you?." Pak Hayoon asked Wang Ju Won, referring to Ahn Ye Jun.
"Ye Jun? He is a friend's son." He replied before going further to explain.
"My friend likes to live his son with me whenever he goes for a business trip. I am a bachelor, so i am the right person the leave his son with. As for Ye Jun's mother, she is a jewelry designer, so she always does a lot of travels, and she is always busy. His parents are busy most times that they don't have the time to look after him. So instead of living him with the servants, they leave him with me."
An hour later, Park Hayoon and Wang Jun Won bid good bye to each other after exchanging their contact numbers, before parting ways.
"What took you so long?." Mrs. Park asked her daughter as she opened the door for them.
"I met a friend, so we had to sit and chat for a while." Park Hayoon explained before escaping to her room to avoid further questions.
As days turned into weeks, Kim Hyejin continued her ballet classes, and she was doing a lot better than expected.
She follows her mother to ballet studio to learn ballet with other children in her class.
Today, Kim Hyejin was sitting on the rugged floor and watching a sports channel. The particular sports caught her attention that she was so intrigued by it.
She had an excited look on her face as she focused her attention on the Tv, that she didn't know when her mother called her.
Not getting any response from her daughter, Park Hayoon had to go to the living room in search of her.
Surprisingly enough, she saw her daughter watching a sports channel, and she looked so interested in it.
"Hyejin!." Park Hayoon called again as she wondered what was so fascinating about what she was watching.
"Mama, I know who I want to be. I want to be like that person." Kim Hyejin said as she pointed at the Tv.
"A figure skater?." Park Hayoon asked in surprise.
"Yes. I want to be the best female figure skater in the world." Kim Hyejin said with determination in her voice.
"Okay." Park Hayoon said as she sank into a deep thought.
Without knowing, Kim Hyejin created a big headache for herself just by saying she wanted to be a figure skater.
And this marked today as the begining of the big change that will transform her in the future.
"Jenny are sure of what you are saying?." Park Hayoon asked her one more time.
"Yes Mama. I want to be the best female figure skater in the world. I want the world to cheer for me like the way they are doing right now for other people." Kim Hyejin said without a change of mind.
"Alright, Mama will help you actualize your dreams." Park Hayoon promised.
"Thank you Mama." Kim Hyejin said to her in a smile.
"But you have to work hard to get there. Hard work and determination are the most important things you need to succeed. This perso you are seeing being cheered for by other people, didn't play around to get here. They were serious with this sprt, and worked hard to be here. Do you understand?."
"Yes Mama, Hyejin understands. I will also work hard like those people to be like them." Kim Hyejin assured her.
"No Hyejin, don't work hard to be like them!." Park Hayoon cut her off as she came to sit beside her on the floor.
"That is the wrong impression. You need to work hard to be better than them. You need to work hard to be different from others, and only then would you be recognized. Do you understand what Mama is saying?"
"Yes Mama. I will work hard to be better than them." Kim Hyejin promised.
"Good girl!. If you want to work hard to be better than them, then you have to start you training now. There will be no time to play with your toys. So are you ready to be a great person?." Park Hayoon asked as she stared into her eyes.
"Yes Mama." Kim HYejin replied with determination written all over her face.
"Then you need to be ready to pay the price for it. While others are sleeping and playing, you need to be training, and that is what makes you different from others."
After giving this ton of advices to her daughter, Park Hayoon sighed and wondered if the little girl understood everything she was trying to tell her.
'She may not understand everything I said to her today, but as time goes on, she will definietly understand.' Park Hayoon thought.
"Mama, I Know the present I want from Uncle Ji Hu." Kim Hyejin said suddenly.
"What is it?." Park Hayoon asked with much interest.
"I want those outfits for my training." Kim Hyejin said as she pointed at the Tv.
There, the female figure skater finished her performance, and was now waving at the crowd and cameras.
"Good girl, I will tell him. This means you got everything I said." Park Hayoon said happily when she saw an outstanding progress.
For her three years old daughter to ask for a figure skating outfit, it means that she has been paying attention to everything she said, and was serious with it.
Park Hayoon smiled as she kissed her daughter's forehead.

Kim Hyejin grew up with her mother and her mother's family, and since she was a toddler, she has always been interested in figure skating. Deciding from young that she wanted to be a figure skater, Kim Hyejin began to train to become the Queen of figure skating in the country just like her idol.
In the early stage of her career as a young figure skater, her mother got married and left her behind. The little Kim Hyejin was shaken for a long while before recovering and decided to channel all her energy into her favorite sport.
In the long run, she meets Ahn Yejun again who she met on some occasions when she was a child. Ahn Yejun loved her and got her to be his fake girlfriend for a while before she cut off thighs with him.
Later, Kim Hyejin reunites with Ahn Yejun after winning the gold medal and becoming an Olympian. But in other to get back with Ahn Yejun after discovering that she loves him, she must first take down Areum who happens to be her...

     After Dakotah had disappeared amongst the throng of hyperactive girls and bored-looking guys, I anxiously sat in my seat as I watched the others fill rapidly. The stadium didn't look too empty, or quiet, anymore. As I was shifting into a better position to see the rink, I heard a girl shriek from behind me. Turning around, I caught a blonde as stared at me. Her brown eyes reflecting  horror and curiosity in equal measure. "Yes?"
 
     "What do you think you're doing there?" The girl asked, her voice so shrill that it instantly annoyed the hell out of me.
 
     "What do you mean? I was told to sit here."
 
     "You're sitting in his spot. You should move—" She was saying, now frantic and on the verge of tears before a shadow loomed over me and seem to have frozen her lips shut. Thank god, I thought before turning my attention away from her and towards my unexpected savior. I almost jumped at the sight. If Dakotah had been a girl, I swear to God, he would've looked just like this person: an exact replica.
 
     Her skin had the same warm undertone as Dakotah's and instead of hazel eyes, her piercing blue ones stared at me with interest. Her hair, black and smooth, was intricately tied into a French braid that curled around the base of her crown. It was decorated with what looked like Baby's Breath and some jade hairpins. She also seemed to be wearing some kind of Grecian skirt/bodysuit with an armband around her left arm for decoration. The whole thing seemed like an interesting combination.
 
     The lady looked from me to the girl behind, "Angelica was it? I'm sure my brother told him he could sit here."
 
     The girl tapped me on the shoulder then, leaning in close before whispering. "Did he really?"
 
     "Yeah, why?"
 
     The girl didn't bother answering me and instead  leaned back into her own seat before letting out a 'huff' sound. She looked pouty to me but I didn't have much time before my rescuer sat down in the seat that Dakotah had previously occupied.
 
     "Sorry about that, Angelica is one of Dakotah's fans. Her group, the "Skate Mates" are avid followers. More like stalkers really, but they're about the same."
 
     "It's alright…and um, thanks." Tucking a strand of hair behind my ear, "I take it you're Dakotah's sister?"
 
     "How did you know?" She beamed, flashing a beautiful smile.
 
     "Because you and Dakotah look a lot alike. You could almost be twins—fraternal of course." I hastily added, feeling the heat rising to my face. I prayed that I hadn't made myself look like a complete idiot. I'd already gotten myself lost on campus, late for orientation and I definitely didn't need a bad rep on my first day.
 
     She laughed pretty loudly before noticing my embarrassment, "Sorry, yes. I'm his older sister Talutah." Reaching over the armrest, she took the hand that was resting on my leg  into her own and shook it. "I've heard so many things about you already William."
 
     After an uneasy pause, "What kind of things?"
 
     "Oh, like how your grandmother is the famous Elizabeth Grant; your mother was the famous figure skater Elicia and how your father Teryion is a pro skater."
 
     I knew people had known about my father, but as how they had known about my mother and grandmother surprised me. Even I wasn't supposed to mention anything about them, especially my mom. She had died in an accident and everything had been quietly taken care of: no public announcement and no funeral, just a small shrine placed in my father's house. My grandmother even told me not to say anything to anybody at the school. She didn't want the other kids to think I'd rode on someone else's coattails to enter this academy, even though I had done just that.
 
     "How do you know? I've never told anyone about my mother or grandmother, I did tell what's-his-name about my dad though. He didn't seem to care though."
 
     "Because my dad knows. He's the Director and your grandmother told him. Also, I only know about your mother because my dad was pretty devastated. They were the best of friends."
 
     "I…see."
 
     Talutah seemed to notice my downcast expression then because she said, "Look, I won't tell anyone. Only my brother and I know, plus, it sucks to be ostracized because of family." Placing a gentle hand on top of my own, she smiled. Then without another word, she got up and left. I was alone once more.
