Maybe, I was anticipating that I can finally have my dream job, which is writing, or it was just curiosity. Whatever it may be, it was enough to make me choose to do a job.

Luckily, being a writer was still on the list of available jobs. Editing, which no one chose since the beginning, would've been my second choice.

Writing was my passion, but I never got to do it. I don't even know if I had talent in it since I died too early. Be a doctor or an engineer, then live your life - that's how I was supposed to live.

But after becoming a doctor, I got here. I never got to live my life. Anyway, enough drama.

Unlike the living dimension, talent doesn't matter here. Choose a job, and you'll be able to do it without hiccups.

The background of the video was in a medieval-looking house. A woman in beginner getup was standing with a man whose face was blurred. It could be seen a red name that was also blurred on top of his head. Under his torso, the name Mr. X was displayed with 'A player of Desolate World' information was also displayed


"So Mr. X, were you the one that killed a player in front of the auction house?" The woman who seemed to be a reporter asked.


"Please call me Sam. How can anyone be called Mr. X? That was ridiculous. And yes! But I have a right to defend myself. Even if not me who killed him. I'm sure someone else will do it," The man answered.


The name under his torso then was changed to 'Sam (a disguised name)'.

I have to admit, deciding to kill someone in the game was a hard choice to take. But, it is just a game, right? The people that I killed wouldn't die for real, maybe he was just annoyed when offline.



I lost some initial village reputation too by doing that, so I got my punishment. And my name became red for 24 hours. It means I will be offline after this interview, to avoid being killed.


Btw, I want to remind my fellow players, PK is fine. But don't kill NPCs without justified reason. Your name will become black and you will lose your right to resurrect inside a village. That is the bottom line we players should not cross." Then said with a righteous tone.


"...," The woman was speechless for a moment seeing such a shameless man.


"How did you know if he was the right person?" The woman asked.

The equipment then should be bought by those rich people. As the white citizens would sell them at cheap prices. But their conspiracy was obstructed by the price they must pay. The items that were sold in the global auction can be sold in two ways. 


First, by selling them at fixed prices. However, the prices were determined by the system at market prices. So the current price for equipment was outrageously expensive, as the demand for equipment was really high right now, as nobody got equipment that was dropped after killing a monster.


The military guesses that the equipment could only be created by artisan jobs or dropped by specific enemies.


The second way is by selling it at auction. The seller could sell an item with a base price at 75% of the market price. Like standard auctions in mobile games, the duration of the auction can be set for a day to a month. The bidder that bid at the highest bid will get the item.


The conspiracy would be successful and the rich men would get thousands of rare equipment despite that price, even though they would be bleeding heavily. 


But the problem is the currency exchange isn't fully open yet. The system only buys dirac at a fixed price, a credit for 5 dirac. A very generous price. The official website of the desolate world just announced that they will start selling dirac on the seventh day.


The conspirators' plan was falling apart at this point. What do they depend on right now when the game just launched? Of course credits. So, when the channel for them to get dirac is closed, they were suffering huge losses, especially in momentum. 


My friend praised the Union for blocking the dirac transaction at this moment. It will give time for everyone to develop normally, at least for seven days. We have to admit, killing monsters is pretty hard right now, as they have a normal animal's instinct and intelligence. Even the soldiers are still adapting to the game right now."

In a remote mountainous region with no civilization nearby within ten thousand kilometers of radius, there's a mansion that doesn't look like a mansion because of its peculiar location and what's around it. 
This building that looks like a mansion that's out of touch with the rest of the world because of its lonely look for being the only building in such a huge area of land.
If someone passingly flew above it, they would think this place is definitely abandoned but if someone took a closer look they would realize that this place can't be abandoned because of how fresh the paint looks on the building and the fact that it doesn't look at all like it has been there for long.
But then again all this can also be credited for someone taking care of it regularly but if this is indeed the case you should ask yourself 'who would take care of such a mansion?' when there's basically nothing nearby besides mountains and no man's land because you could occasionally hear victorious wild and deadly beasts howls or a mournful and pain filled scream. 
This building in the middle of nowhere that should be a mansion but isn't is because the damn building is actually floating on top of a huge lake which could be misunderstood as a sea itself because of its sheer size and depth!
If a giant of 200 meters in height could stand right next to the 'mansion' and pick it up he would realize that the 'mansion' looks like a sword without its hilt and eight out of ten of its tang is missing. But then again a sword is supposed to be sharp and thin but this thing looks like a smooth even surface hurricane lance, you could even think of it as a tower without windows if the 'mansion' was flipped upside down.
And indeed it is a tower which by the looks of it has been picked up and thrown into this lake but if one was inside this tower one would realize that it was designed to be like this as the insides of the tower are neatly organized in a way that if the building was even 1 degree off balance everything inside the tower would shift towards the direction the tower was off balance. 
But strangely enough, even when waves of water hit the 'mansions' sides which are close to the water surface or the underwater currents that hit the tower and shake it off balance, nothing inside gets messed up. All this would do is give goosebumps to even the most experienced person because of the buildings eeriness, quietness and cleanliness. You could even think of this place as a haunted tower.
But that is wrong because there actually is someone who lives there and this said person is writing something inside one of the towers floors; rooms. In this room this person is writing something intensely in a diary while being very focused and murmuring something along the lines "...I need to hurry up." 
If a normal person were watching this they would be horrified!
And no not because this person looks like a ugly monster or something strange but because of the sounds that are coming out of when this person is writing; something akin to a miniature sonic boom and the pen and the hand holding the pen moving at such speed, it would look like blurred images from close up.
One would have to be at least 35 meters away to even register something like a hand and pen but then again this imaginary ordinary bystander would probably faint due to fear or the dizziness coming from hearing sonic booms constantly.
Some of the already written content in the diary were complex and hard to understand stuff which obviously weren't meant for others to understand beside the writer itself. But this can't be blamed on the writer as this is a diary and not a textbook used in schools which explain things as simply as possible to students, but it doesn't matter if others don't understand it for now.
As someone curious to find out the truth will analyse and translate these complex symbols for others to understand and digest, maybe someone will even prove that whatever were written in this diary actually wasn't true at all.
Unfortunately or fortunately such a time will never come as the written title of this diary is 'My preparation method and notes on how to change the fate that await us all - The end of the known world.'

Even when possessing all the knowledge and wisdom there is, no one still believed The Sage when they needed to.

I usually write until I use up everything my brain has to give me in one sitting. Although I am no English teacher, my grammar might only include some small mistakes since I do one proof even on my exam papers ?.

Anyway, nonetheless I can guarantee that my chapters will be consistent throughout the entire novel, but I'll need feedback on "If YOU reader like lots of minor chapters or one long one."

(Minor is basically chapter 1, about 800-1000 words, takes 2-3 hours to write If idea plan is ready and 10 minutes more to think of a suitable title. As for one long one it would be 5-20 times more longer, depends on how much I'm comfortable with word count per chapter, after all writing an entire volume in one chapter is no good.)

Aiz clicked confirm and his message was sent through, he leaned back his chair and exhaled a sharp breath of air.
He pulled out his ZPhone X from his pocket and quickly transferred two thousand dollars to his mother's bank account.
Not even a few seconds later his phone began ringing.
"Hello, ma?"
"Aiz! Quickly nullify the transaction! You know how the banks are these days, even if you want to give me money do it in person!" Aiz's mother replied quickly.
"Shoot! It's too late anyway,"
Aiz's mother sighed exasperatedly.

Most organisation that opposed FE died out with the new generation becoming more and more tolerant with the invasion of technology.
Aiz was lost in his thoughts as he reflected on his life and world, which he would find himself doing more often as the days went by.
Aiz's hands began moving, almost without his consent as years if muscle memory should their effectiveness.
He opened up his mod list an began to scan over all of the mods he had installed on his game.

There were hundreds of thousands of patches within Fantasy's Edge but Aiz condensed it all down to what he thought were the fundamentals, plus a few extras for himself. Patching was a very delicate and meticulous process, FE was not meant to be patched extensively and the corruption of save files was a very real and severe thorn in the back of Modders. Although Tricke was proud, defiant, and incredibly weak, one thing people had to admit was that he was a capable man. He did most of the tasks assigned to him by the Childe family very well. In many cases, he even exceeded the expectations of his superiors. That was why he was promoted to head of the Childe family's Probrand Division in his early twenties.
After all, the Probrand Division was not only in charge of business on this planet but was also in charge of the entire Matte Sector and over twenty star sectors surrounding Matte Sector.
This was also one of Childe family's management approaches. Only one division was set up for about ten to twenty star sectors, which undoubtedly saved a lot of costs compared with other families who had set up one division for each star sector.
Because of this, Tricke also had his own social network. Through his status at Childe family, he had close contacts with many of the elites and even leaders of various local industries. There were also a few companies that processed network information, and a few that worked in media.
After getting the young master's instructions, he first dialed the contact numbers of several friends who worked in the media.
"Anderson, I haven't heard from you for a long time. How have you been?" Tricke greeted. Anderson was the most famous news writer in the neighboring star sectors.
"How can you, a busy man, have time to contact me, Tricke? Could it be that something has gone wrong and you want me to help you?" Anderson and Tricke were not really friends. They just had a deal that profited them both in the past.
"No, it's just that I had some news to sell, and I thought of you immediately," Tricke said with great persuasion.
"News of what? Is it some inside news regarding the Childe family?" Anderson heard and was immediately interested.
"Did you see the latest bounty updates this morning?" Tricke said, hanging his appetite.
"Yes, but apart from the newcomer Gu Ding and Kohld Blood, the others don't have enough buzz surrounding them for me to write about." Anderson, as a media professional, naturally followed news about these Interstellar Pirates daily, but in this new batch of bounties, only Gu Ding and Kohld Blood were much more popular and worth writing about.
"Well, I must say, you're in luck because the information I'm going to sell is related to Gu Ding." Tricke laughed.
"Gu Ding's crew is on Probrand now?" Anderson reacted immediately after hearing Tricke's statement.
"Yes, and I have much more to tell. For example, one of Gu Ding's crew members has combat effectiveness comparable to a demigod… and I have the footage." Tricke drawled.
"We want exclusivity on this news. Don't upload your video to Skynet yet. Don't contact any other media or news company. Two hundred thousand Universe Credits. I don't think any other company will pay more than this." Anderson made the offer on the spot. He was not only a writer, but also a shareholder of the company, so in a way, he had the right to make a bid.
"Two hundred thousand..." Tricke was a little hesitant. Although he was a manager in the Childe family and made just over three hundred thousand Universe Credits a year, he thought the information would sell for about one hundred thousand, but Anderson's offer far exceeded his expectations. The businessman instinct made him aware that he could earn more because he immediately quoted a price of two hundred thousand, which suggested that two hundred thousand was not the lowest price they could offer and that he still had room to raise the price.

"The value of this information has little to do with my salary. If someone is making one hundred million a year, would your offer go up to fifty million?" Tricke laughed.
"How about this? You encrypt the video and project it remotely. I'll take a look at the video first and re-offer." Anderson had a better idea.
Remote projection allowed Anderson to see the video projection in front of Tricke, but the projection was encrypted and could not be recorded. Therefore, Tricke did not have to worry about Anderson secretly recording and not paying for the video.
"Alright." Tricke agreed and immediately invited Anderson to watch the remote encrypted projection.
The video projection was played in front of Anderson.
Gu Ding's crew was in a tavern, and everyone seemed to be there. What concerned Anderson was that other than Gu Ding and the tavern owner, there was also a man, a woman and a robot in the video. The three unfamiliar figures did not belong to Gu Ding's pirate crew.
What took Anderson by surprise the most was that the man with the scarred face was the person closest to being a god, Roland. Roland sat next to Gu Ding. He rested his elbow on Gu Ding's shoulder several times. It was clear that the two were close.
Tricke was not a media person, and Roland had kept a low profile in recent years. He had heard of his name but did not know that the man with a scarred face was Roland. Otherwise, he would have asked for a higher price.
Soon, the video showed Biggie cutting off the heads of the two Rank-13 martial art practitioners with one strike. Anderson was stunned to see this scene.
As the video was recorded on Tricke's wristwatch, it was recorded from his point of view, and he was not shown in the video. Moreover, he deliberately blocked out the sound to avoid the video being linked to the Childe family and himself.
However, the media did not matter whether the video had sound or not, having images were enough. The scene in the image was indeed horrifying–Two Peak Rank-13 powerhouses were killed in seconds. More importantly, Roland, who had been given the title Grand Duke by the Federal Government, was in the same tavern as Gu Ding, and they seemed to be on good terms.

"I know," Tricke said, smirking. To his surprise, Gu Ding had helped him earn nearly a year's salary. "I'll send you the video as soon as I receive the money. How you choose to write the story is up to you, but don't involve me or the Childe family. The source of the video must be kept secret."
"I understand!" Anderson agreed immediately. "I'll ask finance to arrange the transfer immediately. You can send the video directly to my work email. You know the email address."
In less than ten minutes, the two men had closed the deal.
As he looked at the money he just received, Tricke smirked. "Today's not all bad, I suppose. Young master gave such a good idea."
Gu Ding's presence on Probrand was reported half an hour later by a media outlet, which, instead of the usual rumors, it had a real video. The editors of that media outlet even analyzed and explained the entire video.
The identity of the robot and the color-haired woman was played down in the commentary. Even the incident where Biggie killed Rank-13 Gene Bodies was played down. Instead, it was the fact that Roland and Gu Ding were drinking together that was widely publicized.
This was indeed a good stunt; Grand Duke Roland was like a god in the heart of countless swordsmen in Faye Cosmic Nation. He was also a powerhouse respected by numerous martial arts practitioners.
The headline read: "Grand Duke Roland joins Gu Ding's crew!?"
In less than twenty minutes, the article garnered hundreds of millions of views. Its content and video were also forwarded by countless people, and the number of people who gave thumbs up was endless.
Of course, some of Roland's diehard fans saw this as an insult to his reputation, but when they saw the video of Roland and Gu Ding getting along, they did not turn their anger on Gu Ding. Instead, they lashed out at the writer.
For Gu Ding's fans, they had been hitting the like button all along. One even supported by saying, "Good Gu Ding, get the Grand Duke first! Then, take the Lord!" In less than an hour, his supportive commented was liked by millions of people.
Tricke, who read the article, got a little morose, "That scar-face turned out to be Lord Roland... Why didn't I recognize him? I could have gotten millions of Universe Credits for this video!"
Inside a palace, a tall woman in a black dress and another woman in a purple dress were also watching the video.
"When did Roland get on so well with Gu Ding?" Midea, who was dressed in black, had a puzzled expression on her face. "According to the information we have, he and Gu Ding did not know each other before they met on Probrand."
"They probably shared the same behavior. " Elizabeth was not surprised at all. "It's not like you've never met Roland, two headstrong fellows getting together, it'll be strange if they didn't get along."

Overwhelmed was the only way Scarlet could describe her new internship life. It was very different working without Alex or Jasper with her. In fact, she rather envied the boys who had each other for company in the admin department. The girl often found herself left alone simply because the employees in the marketing department were always too busy.
The young writer never knew just how busy adults were when they worked. Nobody seemed to be present in the office at their desks and when they were, they were often on the phone or typing furiously and screaming at the printer. That level of chaos scared the poor girl into silence as she held onto the pile of documents she was told to look through.

Scarlet paused when nobody continued the conversation. From the response, Jasper must be very busy and struggling with the difficult things he had to learn. Elfie was idle but that was before he found joy in helping Jasper with his task. The girl sighed. She wished there was something she could do too. The marketing department and design department weren't very far from each other. In fact, the marketing department worked very closely with a lot of other departments such as sales, finance, design and admin. Maybe if Scarlet found an excuse, she could go over to the other departments to see what the rest are doing.
With her mind made up, Scarlet looked around and listened in on conversations of the busy adults.

The young writer grinned, happy to see a friendly familiar face. "Hello, Anna. I'll be able to walk normally in about another two weeks. The marketing department is rather different from the admin department... Nobody has given me anything to do so I thought I'd do myself a favour and check if there is anything from the admin department that needs to be brought up to the marketing team."
The bespectacled girl beamed. "You're so smart! There actually are some things we need to bring up to the marketing team but we've been putting it off for a while. It's been very busy lately because Ms Lawrence just left the company. The new manager is not very familiar and there are many people trying to take advantage of the situation by stirring chaos. We've also taken in four new interns today and I haven't been able to help them much thanks to the sheer workload under the new management."
Scarlet nodded and asked for a little more details. The new manager was a very young lady who was lacking in experience as a manager even if she was an efficient worker. The HR team scouted her when she applied for the position and thanks to her good academic qualifications, she got the job. Anna explained how the new manager was often tricked into doing things that she didn't have to thanks to the senior employees who were jealous of her position. They were next in line for the promotion but their career paths ended with this new lady who was so many years younger than them.
"It's a real shame but I don't know if our new manager can cope under so much pressure. If only there was something I could do but this is really something out of my abilities. In terms of cunningness, these older office ladies wouldn't lose out to Ms Lawrence."
Scarlet hummed. "Well, if things become too much for you to handle, you can always get those boys to do it. I know them personally and while not all of them are very bright, they are very hardworking and kind!"
Anna beamed. "That's very reassuring to hear. The boys have been a great help so far. I still feel bad that I'm not able to guide them properly as the one in charge of teaching the ropes to the interns... I merely told them about where you, Jasper and Alex left off and they picked everything else up on their own. Right now, I think Samuel and Jeff are helping to archive the documents from ten years ago. I don't know what Jeremy is doing but Issac offered to help with filing and scanning. He said that he had a scary face and wasn't suited to meet people."
The young writer laughed uneasily at that. Issac still had that kind of mentality? That wouldn't do. He needed to build up more self-confidence and overcome the fear of scaring people away.
"Thank you, Anna. I'll ask one or two of the boys to help me carry whatever is needed up to the marketing team if that is not a problem?"
Anna agreed and quickly hurried off to finish whatever she'd been tasked to do.
Scarlet reached the intern's room and was surprised to see the table and floors flooded with papers. "What happened here?"
Issac who was working on them looked up in surprise. "Scarlet?"
Jeremy who was assembling carton boxes also stopped. "Oh! Nice seeing you here. Is there anything we can do to help you?"
Scarlet nodded. "Do you know what kind of things the admin team wants to send up to the marketing team? I'm here to collect them. The seniors in the marketing team are constantly busy, nobody has given me anything to do so I'm looking for something to work on myself."
Understanding dawned on Jeremy as well as a sense of pity. "Alright. I think Issac and I should help you transfer them. It's a few boxes of pamphlets that have been delivered to us from the printers. I think you'd find yourself busy for a few days with the sheer amount of folding required. There are a total of ten thousand pamphlets in these boxes for an event somewhere next month."
Scarlet grinned. Folding pamphlets is something that she could manage without too much walking. Also, having something to keep her hands occupied was better than staring into blank space all the time. She could start with this.
"Thanks, guys. I think I'll be happy to work on them compared to not having anything to do. Can you help me bring it up?"
Issac nodded and started loading the boxes onto a trolley while Jeremy excused himself to inform Anna about their errand. Scarlet sighed internally. She was initially thrilled to join the marketing team but with how busy everyone is, she worried if she would be learning anything at all by the end of it.
Still, the girl tried to remain positive. It was only the first day, she might be able to pick up some new information over the next few days to learn a thing or two.

Stately, plump Buck Mulligan came from the stairhead, bearing a bowl of lather on which a mirror and a razor lay crossed. A yellow dressinggown, ungirdled, was sustained gently behind him by the mild morning air. He held the bowl aloft and intoned:

--Introibo ad altare Dei.

Halted, he peered down the dark winding stairs and called up coarsely:

--Come up, Kinch. Come up, you fearful jesuit.

Solemnly he came forward and mounted the round gunrest. He faced about and blessed gravely thrice the tower, the surrounding country and the awaking mountains. Then, catching sight of Stephen Dedalus, he bent towards him and made rapid crosses in the air, gurgling in his throat and shaking his head. Stephen Dedalus, displeased and sleepy, leaned his arms on the top of the staircase and looked coldly at the shaking gurgling face that blessed him, equine in its length, and at the light untonsured hair, grained and hued like pale oak.

Buck Milligan peeped an instant under the mirror and then covered the bowl smartly.

--Back to barracks, he said sternly.

He added in a preacher's tone:

--For this, O dearly beloved, is the genuine Christine: body and soul and blood and ouns. Slow music, please. Shut your eyes, gents. One moment. A little trouble about those white corpuscles. Silence, all. 

He peered sideways up and gave a long low whistle of call, then paused awhile in rapt attention, his even white teeth glistening here and there with gold points. Chrysostomos. Two strong shrill whistles answered through the calm. 

--Thanks, old chap, he cried briskly. That will do nicely. Switch off the current, will you?

He skipped off the gunrest and looked gravely at his watcher, gathering about his legs the loose folds of his gown. The plump shadowed face and sullen oval jowl recalled a prelate, patron of arts in the middle ages. A pleasant smile broke quietly over his lips.

--The mockery of it, he said gaily. Your absurd name, an ancient Greek.

- ABOUT THE AUTHOR -

James Joyce, the twentieth century's most influential novelist, was born in Dublin on February 2, 1882. The oldest of ten children, he grew up in a family that went from prosperity to penury because of his father's wastrel behavior. After receiving a rigorous Jesuit education, twenty-year-old Joyce renounced his Catholicism and left Dublin in 1902 to spend most of his life as a writer in exile in Paris, Trieste, Rome, and Zurich. On one trip back to Ireland, he fell in love with the now famous Nora Barnacle on June 16, the day he later chose as "Bloomsday" in his novel Ulysses. Nora was an uneducated Galway girl who became his lifelong companion and the mother of his two children. In debt and drinking heavily, Joyce lived for 36 years on the Continent, supporting himself first by teaching jobs, then through the patronage of Mrs. Harold McCormick (Edith Rockerfeller) and the English feminist and editor Harriet Shaw Weaver. His writings include Chamber Music (1907), Dubliners (1914), A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man (1916), Exiles (1918), Ulysses (1922), Pomes Penyeach (1927), Finnegan's Wake (1939), and an early draft of A Portrait of a Young Man, Stephan Hero (1944). Ulysses required seven years to complete, and his masterpiece, Finnegan's Wake, took seventeen. Both works revolutionized the form, structure, and content of the novel. Joyce died in Zurich in 1941.

The words which slowly projected on the screen, with a beautiful piece of melodic music playing behind bewitched everyone in that boardroom.
A female voice artist was narrating the exact same words which added to the music.

Though, giving will bring the greatest happiness",
The narration continued.

Finally, "Just Met You" the calligraphic phrase captured the screen. The music came to an end.
With everyone's applauds, a middle-aged woman got up, turning the projector off with a remote.
"This is the next project of YuanYu. A movie based on the comic 'Just met you'. The script is in front of you."
The ladies and gentlemen who were sitting around the table now took the files in hand.
Just Met You, the script was titled with the same calligraphic font. 
Below that there was the name of the writer in a different yet beautiful font, Rhea.

Rhea who was just outside the door of the boardroom could hear everything.
She was still holding the door handle without entering the room.
When she heard the narration of her beautiful words, in another girl's beautiful voice, she froze by the door without opening it.
Although she was late for the meeting, she couldn't just barge in to ruin the peaceful, romantic air inside.

She waited.
With every words, her hand trembled.
She closed her eyes, listened.
The handsome face, which made her write all those lines popped in her thoughts, once again.

She let out a sigh, finally opened the door.

The metal board which was hanging in that long room wall with the words "YuanYu Entertainment" came to her sight. Below that she saw the CEO of the entertainment, Madam Yuan Yu, who was also a well known film director in China.

"May I come in?"
Rhea's voice penetrated the silence in the room.

Madam Yuan Yu who was still keenly reading the script lifted her head, saw the pretty girl standing by the door.
The rest of the people who were also reading turned their heads to see the new one.

She was a girl in her early twenties. She possessed a captivating, radiant beauty which is rare. The girl was not too tall, nor short either. Her facial features were sharp, like a statue's. But overall her face emitted a soft, innocent aura.
She was wearing a beige colored knee-length dress with vertical black lines all over. Her free hairstyle with just a clip holding her hair just above her ears enhanced her elegant youthful look. She possessed a simple, yet gorgeous look.
She was a foreigner. It was obvious. But she did speak Chinese with confidence.

The director nodded with a smile, then drowned into the script again. Rhea hurriedly walked towards the meeting table, saw her nameplate next to the director's seat, sat down.
The one who was sitting opposite Rhea was selected female lead of the movie. Seeing Rhea's elegance, she misunderstood Rhea as the second female lead of the film. She leaned forward to Rhea in a friendly manner and told her to sit on the seat allocated for her.
"This is for the scriptwriter" she added.
"I'm Rhea, the scriptwriter" the girl politely introduced herself.
There was some commotion once she introduced her.
"Is she the writer?"
"Seems so" 
"Have you read the comic?"
"I did, it was quite good"
"I've heard the writer is rich, didn't know she was beautiful"
"Being a foreigner, she did a great job writing a successful comic in Chinese, It's not easy"
"I think she would have hired translators" the voices communicated.
Rhea quietly pretended to read the script while listening to all the turbulence. 
Once they have finished the discussions, one man asked the director about the male lead of the film.

"According to the agreement we have signed with the author and artist of the comic, Ms. Rhea we have given her the right to select the male lead. 
Have you decided Rhea?"

"Yes, I have. The main character of Just Met You, Aaron was not totally my creation. I had a model in my mind when I created Aaron. That model is a famous actor here. I believe no one can pull my character except for him"

Now all of them eagerly started to wait for her to spill the name of that actor.

Rhea paused for a bit, looking down. She knew what will happen once she says that name. After a few seconds, she lifted her head, with a strong determination in her eyes, she said the name, "Ryan Jin".

Just as she expected, the expression on the faces in front of her changed. Some of them blankly stared at her. Some of them discussed within themselves. The director and the female actress who already knew the fact remained calm.

"Ms. Rhea. You are a foreigner. You may not know what is happening here."

"I know" she cut in.

After a very long discussion turned argument, forty percent of the original budget was withdrawn. Considering the thirty percent from Madam Yuan Yu, only the half of others agreed. The withdrawn group got out of the meeting room.

The people who left the room were stunned for a second when they reached out the door. There was a man in the waiting room sitting on the sofa crossed legged, putting one leg on another, wearing a handmade charcoal grey suit. He looked calm and composed. His presence made the room majestic in an unknown way.

Of course, he was the hot topic inside the meeting room. He probably had listened to most of their arguments. The ice-cold aura around him declared the fact that he had already heard everything. Inside the meeting room, with the remaining half, and a few artists who were selected for their roles, the meeting continued.

Once the meeting finished, everyone left the room except for Rhea and the director. 

A pair of legs started to walk towards the meeting room.

Rhea was still talking to the director. The aftermath of the meeting was not ok with her. She wanted the film to succeed. She was willing to face any risk. 

"Madam, I'll invest that forty percent" she volunteered.

"Well, then that'll fix everything"

A beautiful, content smile appeared on Rhea's face. Seeing her smile, the pair of legs paused then strode towards her.
Rhea who didn't know who was behind slowly got up from the chair ready to leave.

Suddenly someone from behind abruptly pulled her hand. Due to the forceful pull Rhea's forehead got knocked on something firm. Within few milliseconds, she recognized what it was. 
It was a man's chest. Flustered by the sudden pull and pain in her forehead and hand she looked up, ready to scold.

When she saw who it was, her words froze in her throat. 

It was him, Ryan Jin. 
Her first love, probably the last one too.

He squinted his scorching eyes, looked straight in her eyes, with a deep voice, his lips moved, 
"It's really you, Rhea!".

"Truth or dare?", she asked.

Truth is not an option for him! He got his whole heart which should be hidden from her!!!

"Dare!"

"Ok. Let me kiss you"!!!!
