For example, they could dog walk in the parks, help in gardening local areas, window cleaning, lemonade stand selling and so on.

Normally, an adult could work up to 8 - 10 hours a day.... but for children, it would be advisable for them to use 4 to 5 hours max.

Hyung-geun intercepted the ball easily enough and passed it to someone else before receiving it once again a moment later. All the other children circled around him, determined to steal the ball back for themselves, but Hyung-geun skillfully maneuvered around them all, dribbling all the way to the goalpost. He looked up to find his aim, but was thrown off by what he saw.

"Huh?"

Or rather, by what he didn't see. The goalkeeper was nowhere to be seen.

"Stop him!"
"Get him! No!!"

Hyung-geun kicked the ball into the goal with little effort and, surely enough, scored a point for his team.

"Where did plaster face go?" Myeong-su asked, but no one had an answer for him.

Unseen by the other children, Lucid had snuck away from the field and climbed the mountain behind the institute for the first time in a rather long time. It had been an impulsive decision on his part, but he had also hoped that coming back would somehow transport him to the other world again, as it had before.

This mountain, unlike the forest in the other world, was mainly comprised of bamboo and oak trees. With both being evergreens, the mountain was a lovely shade of green all year round, and even now, it looked like a piece of summer stranded in a winter land. Only the harsh wind broke the illusion. Still, as with most other mountains, the ground was covered with a decent amount of fallen leaves, but they posed no problem for Lucid as he climbed higher and higher, especially since he had cast magic to increase the friction on the bottom of his shoes. For him, climbing up the mountain was no different from walking down the street, and he reached the peak in no time. Breathing heavily to regain control, he noticed that his physical strength and stamina had both deteriorated over the past year. Before, he hadn't even broken a sweat climbing this same mountain, yet here he was now, huffing and puffing. All that sitting and reading must have taken a toll on him after all.

The sky he saw down at the courtyard and the sky he was now looking at, from high in the mountain, were one and the same, as clear and blue as ever, but the air felt different. It was clearer, crisper, and he took deep breaths to fill his lungs with it. He closed his eyes and felt the wind on his skin, canceling all the magic he had cast before. As the warming magic left him, a sharp chill ran down his spine.

"Mom." he called, his voice low. He hadn't spoken that word out loud in a long time, and he choked on it.

Dong-in had been looking out the window, watching some middle schoolers running around with some elementary schoolers.

"God dammit." he muttered under his breath.

He had been cursing quite a lot recently, and most times, he didn't even realize. The words left his lips whenever he felt even a little miffed, whether he was alone or not, prompted or not. Right now, he cursed watching the children playing in the field.

He hadn't known this when he himself was a young child, but now that he was in middle school, playing outside and kicking a ball around were no longer entertaining, and he had no wish to participate. It was easy enough for elementary schoolers to run around chasing a ball, but the middle schoolers with them were a bit different. They would run just enough to reach the ball and kick it just enough to get the children to run to the other side. In other words, they weren't playing. They were just taking care of the younger children. When Dong-in was younger, the middle schoolers (now high schoolers) took care of him in the same way, and now, his peers took care of the elementary schoolers. High schoolers then avoided the courtyard altogether, choosing to let the younger kids run free and instead studying to achieve their goals for the future, once they left the institute. Such were the rules of the Anes Institute, a sort of tradition to allow all the children to come together and fraternize, growing closer together as real siblings would. Or was it?

"In the same boat, so row together." Dong-in grumbled.

Once he had realized that this was the true intention of the rules, Dong-in had lost all interest in playing. It disgusted him to know that he was expected to go out and mingle with the rest of the children, so that they may all be pitied together. He didn't want to be considered pitiful, and he didn't want to consider the other children as such either. So, he simply grew to dislike their soccer games. That was why he was currently holed up in his room, avoiding all the volunteers crawling about the institute and watching the children play outside, as much as he hated it. That's when he noticed one of the goalkeepers turn around and sneak off somewhere.

He gnawed on his lips as he watched the boy's retreating figure, feeling all sorts of emotions bubbling inside, emotions that stung his eyes with unshed tears, emotions that made him want to scream until his throat bled, that burst the blood vessels in his eyes and made his breath uneven. Hatred, disgust, resentment, contempt. No matter how many words he used to describe his emotions, they weren't enough to properly convey everything he felt. Part of him felt frustrated. Why should he have to feel this way? He didn't deserve this. He had lived his whole life being well-liked as a good student, a good child, a kind person who always smiled, until that boy came along and pushed him straight to the depths of hell. He couldn't ever forgive him. He wouldn't ever forgive him.

Dong-in turned around and left his room.

Yun-jeong had made her way to the cafeteria quite early in the morning, which was unusual for her. After helping out with serving breakfast, she gleefully went in the kitchens to practice her own cooking. With the recent boom of cooking programs on TV, Yun-jeong was more than ecstatic, and she made up her mind to be like all those famous chefs and master their fancy skills. As such, she had grabbed the kitchen wok and was now furiously shaking it about. It was no easy feat, as slender as her arms were, but she persevered, passionately practicing the movement. She rolled the wok around to evenly coat it in oil before dumping in the spring onions she had chopped up. Then, she added a splash of soy sauce, to both flavor and impart some aroma to the oil. As she shook the wok around, the fresh scent of spring onion oil wafted through the air.

"Yun-jeong! Are you into Chinese food now?"
"What are you making? You've made such a mess!"
"Fried rice!" Yun-jeong answered cheerfully, smiling at the cooks who had gathered around to watch.

Focusing once more on the wok in her hands, she added ground pork and various vegetables, stir frying as needed before reducing the heat to add the rice. She would be sharing with all the cooks, so she would have to make plenty. However, that meant more of everything, and the considerable weight of all the ingredients as well as of the wok put quite a strain on her wrists. The only thing pushing her forward was her love for cooking, and she continued to shake the wok around. After what seemed like a lifetime, she finally set it down and turned the heat off, dividing the fried rice evenly on three plates.

"It's done!" She said. She was covered in sweat, but she knew that it was a result of her hard work. She was proud of herself and of what she achieved. "Come have a taste!"
"Are you done?" asked one of the cooks.
"Nope! I'm making crab soup next!"

Yun-jeong wiped the sweat from her eyes and set to preparing for her next dish.

Ki-woong had been reading, the door to his room firmly shut. Outside, a sign hung from it, reading "Currently studying, do not disturb." Normally, most institutes housing high school students didn't receive high school volunteers, to avoid the awkward, if not downright patronizing, situation of being taken care of by a peer. Even if high school volunteers were accepted, measures were taked to prevent them from meeting the resident high schoolers, such as sending the latter outside. The Anes Institute was no different, and with the influx of high school volunteers (it was the weekend, after all), most of the high schoolers had gone out. All, actually, except for Ki-woong.

Ki-woong had chosen to stay, mainly because he had nothing better to do outside, and he didn't quite care about the volunteers wandering about the institute. As long as he didn't run into them, then everything was fine. And so, he had kept reading, until he heard a knock at the door.

"Ki-woong," a voice called from outside. "Are you free?"

Recognizing the voice as one of the teachers, Ki-woong opened the door.

"How can I help you?"
"The administrative office asked if you could help them out. They're a little flooded, I think."

This was a rather common occurrence in the institute. If the office was behind in its work, Ki-woong would often go down to lend a hand. This was partly because he was the smartest high schooler in the institute, and he had actually proven himself to be quite adept at getting things done. The biggest reason, however, was that he hardly complained, to the point that the director of administration had actually suggested that Ki-woong work at the office after graduating high school. This wasn't well-received at all, since Ki-woong had his sights set on medical school, but he had still smiled and laughed it off, showing remarkable self-control and patience.

"Yes, of course. Should I go down right away?"
"Yes, please. Thank you so much, and I'm so sorry to ask you every time."

The teacher smiled bitterly and pat Ki-woong's arm in an attempt to comfort him. The boy wasn't getting paid at all, simply giving out his time for the sake of the institute, and this made the teacher feel all kinds of terrible. He was proud of him, yes, but it was still a very regrettable situation. Ki-woong was, the teacher thought, the very definition of a volunteer.

Jiwon had walked back (though "escaped" would be more accurate) to the institute from the courtyard, and she was hardly in the mood to talk to anyone. But with nowhere to go, she was forced to go inside and join the rest of the volunteers.

"Jiwon," one of them called out. "What are you doing?"
"Oh... Um... I was just wondering if there's anything I can do to help."
"You're really red, did you know that?" the volunteer asked, cupping Jiwon's cheeks in her hands. "How long were you outside? Goodness. Stay inside, and go check the kitchens. They'll be getting food ready soon, so go see if there are any dishes that need to be done."

The volunteer had assumed that Jiwon had gone out to play, and Jiwon was much too high strung to explain herself. She couldn't even find the proper words for it, and she simply nodded, making her way towards the kitchens as she had been instructed.

In her head, she kept replaying the conversation she had with that boy. Why had she said that? She had no idea, and she was embarrassed beyond words. She had volunteered at the institute before, but back then, she had to do so much work that there simply hadn't been enough time for her to talk to any of the residing children. That was why she had made up her mind to spend some time with them this time around. She had a lot of work today as well, but she had managed to sneak out to the courtyard somehow. But after all her efforts, she had been attacked when she had least expected it.

To Jiwon, volunteering at an institute meant playing with the children, holding their hands and talking to them as a way to make them feel loved. That's what heroines did, wasn't it? Still, when she had seen the children running around in the dirt, she had felt a bit put off, which is why she had decided to talk to the child farthest away from all the mess. That turned out to be her worst decision yet, as she had gotten quite hurt from their conversation.

"Why would talking to us be work?" the boy had asked.

She had immediately felt in the wrong. Perhaps she had been so flustered, so scared by the boy's piercing gaze because she felt guilty. No, she knew that was the reason. She had known it as soon as she heard the boy's words, and that was why she had practically run away from him.

She felt bad. Instead of making him feel loved, she had hurt his feelings, and she felt terrible about it.  But she also had no excuse, no good reason to go back so soon, so she simply went to the kitchens. Maybe distracting herself with work would help calm her down and get her thoughts back in order. Then, she decided, she would go back and apologize.

When Jiwon turned the corner to get to the back of the building, where the cafeteria was, she saw a boy climb the fence and go into the mountain. He had short hair, and he was shorter than her. A middle schooler, most likely. As she watched, he walked calmly, but with determination, towards the mountain, and his figure was soon hidden by the trees.

With a mountain so close to the institute, perhaps it acted like a natural playground for the children here. Did they usually go out into the mountain? Probably, Jiwon thought. Dismissing it at that, she opened the door to the cafeteria.

Clearly, upgrades became harder as the levels increased. The next upgrade might be far down the road, since a novel about pets had a limited population of readers.

Just like last time, Pi didn't change much in appearance. 
Pi refreshed the page over and over again. It's editor had reminded them that the VIP chapter privilege was scheduled to be activated after midnight. However, the activation may not occur immediately.
A blast of firecrackers came from outside, reminding them that it was New Year's Eve.　 
Zhang Zian suddenly remembered that since Pi's real name had been unlocked, it was able to leave the pet shop. He could bring it with him today when he visited the Base for Retired Police Dogs. However, Pi was completely focused at the moment, so he'd talk to it about it later.　
Pi wasn't the only one feeling anxious. The readers in the Book Group were also waiting for the VIP chapters to be posted. Many people had sent messages, asking when Pi was going to post new chapters. Sometimes, in order to not disturb it, Zhang Zian logged into QQ on his phone, and answered questions on Pi's behalf.
Zhang Zian couldn't respond to all of them, but he had felt their passion and support.　
Now, it was midnight, and most people were asleep. Some of the people still online were Pi's biggest supporters. They stayed awake just so that they could subscribe to Pi on it's Premium day. 
Pi was a newbie, but most of the readers in the Book Group were veterans of Qidian. They knew the importance of First Day Subscriptions, knew it directly influenced the editors' impression of the book. They supported Pi with their actions. Some even said that they'd like to reward Pi a Chief. 　　 
A Chief was equivalent to 1000 RMB. It'd be enough to buy dozens of books. 
Zhang Zian had been reading the comments in the group whenever he had free time. He found out that most group members were students, and the youngest ones were in elementary school. He was shocked when he found out that there were elementary school students reading Pi's novel. He tried to remember what books he read in elementary school, mainly textbooks or Manga. He didn't read other books at all.
He was aware that most students lived on their parents' allowance, very few students could work part time. Even for university students, who had more money to spend, 1000 RMB was a lot of money. It was almost enough for a month's worth of living expenses.

Someone had sent a message.　　
Zhang Zian thought it was another person asking why the book wasn't Premium yet. It turns out, it was a popular reading list owner, Feather of the Chief Specter.

Zhang Zian didn't know about this earlier, so he asked him to provide more details. 
Afterwards, Zhang Zian understood that was it not for his reminder, he would've missed out on a free lunch.　　 
"Eek!"　　
Pi tapped Zhang Zian's knee and pointed at the screen.　　 
There was an alert on the author's home page, the VIP chapters were active.　　 
"Okay, let's figure out a plan," he whispered.　　 
They thought anxiously before uploading the VIP chapters. Then, they returned to the book's main page, and were relieved to see that everything was working fine.　　 
Pi sat in the chair, exhausted.　　 
Zhang Zian sent a message in the groupchat to inform everyone that the book had gone Premium, and that a First Day Subscription would be appreciated. He also mentioned that they should vote if they could.　　 
After the message was sent, the groupchat was suddenly buzzing again.　　
Shortly after that, a series of alerts popped up on Pi's main page. 　　 
[Corner in a Mountain Tavern] rewarded you 2000 RMB, and became a Chief of the book! 
[Ancient Yue Silhouette] rewarded you 1000 RMB, and became a Chief of the book!
[Corrupted Wild Cat] rewarded you 3000 RMB, and became a Chief of the book! 
[Ricky Boy] rewarded you 1000 RMB, and became a Chief of the book!

Zhang Zian and Pi couldn't believe their eyes, especially Zhang Zian. He thought that the people in the group were just being polite. It turned out that so many people were willing to support Pi with real money.
"Pi, look at the Subscriptions!" After all, the Subscriptions were key for the book's survival. If it had more than 3000 Subscriptions, a book could be named in Qidian's Hall of Fame, and be remembered forever. 　　 
Pi opened the main page. There were already over a thousand Subscriptions. If things continued this way, entering the Hall of Fame would be very easy.　　 
"Pi, relax and go to sleep," Zhang Zian said. "I know that you care about the number of Subscriptions, but you can't keep waiting like this. You haven't been outside ever since you came to the pet shop. How about tomorrow, you go outside and play with everyone?"　　
"Eek." Pi nodded reluctantly, then took off its glasses, and laid down in the hammock. 　
Zhang Zian turned off the lights. Pi laid down, but its eyes were still wide open, staring at the dark ceiling. It crossed its arms in front of its chest as if it was praying. Pi's pupils were glistening, full of anticipation and hope.　　 
Book of Pi was lying on the desk, the gold circle shining.　　
Tomorrow will be a great day.

Zheng Xiujing was looking around her new place. Her room wasn't that big compared to her bedroom in the house. There were 4 rooms in her new place. She was now walking in the living room where there were only a sofa, coffee table, and some shelves. She could see the door which connected to the balcony near a bookshelf. On her right-side was the bedroom which had the small bathroom inside. Decorated with white and pink pastel theme, the bedroom looked cosy and girly. To be honest, she preferred black and white. On her left-side was the kitchen with dining chairs in front of the long counter.
 "The kitchen and living room are more like a modern style, while the bedroom is decorated with sweet pastel. Is there something wrong with an interior designer? Well, I prefer the modern style."
 She put Felix on the coffee table. Starting to unpack her luggage, Zheng Xiujing found that all of her clothes were brand-named. Will her new classmates get jealous of her? Or will they try to suck her up like her friends from the old school? Perhaps she should buy some cheaper clothes to wear.
 "I need to go shopping when I had free time." She sighed.
 The next day, Zheng Xiujing woke up early as always. After she finished taking a baht and dressing up in a cute uniform, she went to the class. Shizijia school's students needed to pass all of 3 level programs to graduate. A new student will start at the 1 level program. In terms of students' intelligence, the A classroom was the best one, while the C classroom was for students who got low scores on the exam. Still, all students here were selected as the only genius. Even if you were studying in the C classroom, you were clever than students from other schools. Shizijia school wasn't a school for the rich but the genius.
 Of course, Zheng Xiujing was studying in the 1-A classroom. She needed to study here for the next 3 years before she could enroll in a university. However, she decided to adjust her schedule and plan to finish the programs within 1 or 2 years, since there was a self-studied system via computer.
 As for her vampire life, her power started to grow stronger every day. She could feel people around her walking too slow. And she used to break a teacup without intention when she grabbed it absent-mindedly.
 Zheng Xiujing looked at the room '1-A' and walked inside. It seemed she was the first person who came to today's class. She needed to come early because she didn't want to walk under the bright sunlight. Zheng Xiujing walked to sit near the window in the second row of the classroom.
 "Hello. Are you a new student?"
 "Yes." Zheng Xiujing just nodded at the newcomer. The girl had blonde wavy long hair and blue eyes. And she had porcelain skin like Zheng Xiujing as well. She didn't look like a Chinese. She was a bit taller than Zheng Xiujing. With her cute face, she looked like a doll.
 "My name's Gao Lili. You can call me 'Lili'. What's your name?"
 "I'm Zheng Xiujing. Nice to meet you."
 "Are you perhaps not a Chinese? I love your violet eyes!"
 "My mother was British." Well, how could she tell the truth that her mother was actually a vampire and she came from another world?
 Zheng Xiujing's black long hair was made into a side braid ponytail which made her look a bit cuter. Zheng Xiujing had sharp violet eyes with her long-curled eyelash. Along with her oval face, thin rosy lips, and upturned nose, she could be described as a sexy lady rather than a cute girl.
 "I'm not a Chinese too! My parents are French, but they came to work in China. Thus, I have to study here."
 "I see."
 More and more students began to come into the room since it was almost 8 A.M. now. Zheng Xiujing ignored everyone as she was reading her new textbook.
 "You seem like a nerd type, aren't you?" Lili asked Zheng Xiujing.
 "Not really."
 "That's a relief. Your face doesn't look like a nerd type. I hate studying, we should hang out at a café after the class. What do you think?"
 "Okay. I plan to go shopping today. I need some new clothes."
 "You can count on me. I know the good shopping area as well as some hidden places for having fun." Lili winked at Zheng Xiujing.
 "What's a hidden place you're talking about?"
 "Of course, it's a nightclub!" Lili exclaimed excitedly.
 "We're only 15 years old. Are we allowed to enter such a place?"
 "I have my way to get in there. If you're interested, just tell me. I'll tag you along with me. Hehe." Lili giggled.
 Seriously? A nightclub? Zheng Xiujing laughed at what Lili told her. She was never interested to go to such a place; although, it was the best place for her to find a 'prey'.

The Midnight Kingdom was in the state of war. The war was between Royalty and the rebellion. As the rebellion gained great victory and executed the King, the Queen who was pregnant escaped to the poor and distant countryside. She gave birth to the little Princess, Krystal V. Fradinight or Zheng Xiujing, before she died. The Queen's followers brought the princess to the human world for her safety. Time passed, the little Princess became a beautiful young lady. As the Princess' power grew stronger every day, her enemies came after her in the attempt of killing her. Therefore, she planned to return to the Midnight Kingdom to claim the throne.

Zheng Xiujing: "Blind with power and greedy, you should be ashamed to your actions. Now, I can see why the world is unfair. If people like you are not existing, perhaps the world will be better."

Apartment 5- Li Xiuying's bedroom

Li Xiuying put her phone on her bedside cabinet; she turned her attention back to the report and started reading.

The man who Li Xiuying referred to as Dragon tattoo was creatively nick-named Dragon, legal name Deng Bojing.  The report went as far as detailing Deng Bojing's childhood. 

Deng Bojing had been an aggressive and violent child, when he was just 9 years old he had stabbed a fork into another child's hand. 

His father worked in construction and his mother was an elementary school teacher.  After the stabbing incident they had forced Deng Bojing to see various therapists, counselors and even psychiatrists. They also signed him up for anger management programs. 

Nothing made a difference; Deng Bojing's behavior became more violent and he started engaging in petty crimes. In order to try and reform him, his parents sent him away to a Boarding school for troubled teens when he was 13 years old.

He stayed at the boarding school for 3 years. When he was 16 the school had stated that Deng Bojing was fully reformed and that he was ready to become an active and contributing member of society.

2 months after his return to the family home, his parents had been murdered in an attempted burglary.  They had been strangled, decapitated and had their bodies mutilated. 

Deng Bojing was cleared of murder charges; his alibi was that he was staying with a friend for the last several days. His friend and the friend's family corroborated the story. 

Deng Bojing then went to live with his grandmother just on the outskirts of the city. 6 Months later, a neighbor found Deng Bojing's grandmother's dead body in an arm chair in the living room. The coroner ruled it as a death by natural causes. 

Li Xiuying frowned at the document in her hand; the more she read the more disgusted she felt. How could someone be so evil from such a young age? There was no doubt in Li Xiuying's mind that Deng Bojing had murdered both his parents and his grandmother. 

Li Xiuying continued reading. 

At the Age of 18 Den Bojing joined the Phantoms. Den Bojing had been conveniently walking down the alley where Phantom the Overlord of the west side had been ambushed by a group of armed men. Deng Bojing had taken a bullet for Phantom. Phantom in return allowed Den Bojing to join his syndicate. 

Deng Bojing rapidly rose up the ranks. He was known for being cut throat and cruel. He didn't even blink when taking a life. He raped, stole, abducted, killed, tortured, you name it he had done it there was no end to the list of his crimes. 

In 2007 he was banished from the Phantoms and there were multiple rumors circulating as to the reason why. "The most widely believed was that Deng Bojing raped and killed a junior member's girlfriend and made him watch." Li Xiuying read the last sentence out loud. 

Li Xiuying forced herself to read on...

No one truly knows why Deng Bojing was banished but it was a fact that Phantom had beaten Deng Bojing to within an inch of his life. 

When Deng Bojing was banished, four others followed him and left the Phantoms. Deng Bojing became the leader of the pentad; which he aptly named The Soulless.

Li Xiuying's frown deepend as she read the next few sentences. 

Deng Bojing made connection with various members from the upper echelons of society; from politicians to the heir's of conglomerates. The Soulless became thugs for hire; but they weren't cheap their fee's started from a minimum of $100 k and went up into millions. 

Li Xiuying was curious about how Deng Bojing was able to make connections with such prominent people. 

Li Xiuying skim read the next page about Deng Bojing; it contained more details about his individual criminal activity.  

Li Xiuying had a quick flick through the next pages. The next 15 pages detailed various people who had hired The Soulless and the 'jobs' they had wanted completed, along with the price. 

Li Xiuying started looking through the list starting at page 1, she quirked her brow when she saw Chen Wei's name on page two next to his name was written 'cripple research partner' 200 k.

She continued skimming and came across Li Mei Wu's name on page four, next to her name was written 'Humiliate the Lu family's daughter' 450 k. 

Li Xiuying wanted to know what her 'aunt' had paid The Soulless to do. 

The list contained a myriad of jobs like "**** and torture step-sister", "destroy the shop", "steal deed to the house" etc. There were even minor jobs like 'Wu Shing - escort to school. 100 k'

Li Xiuying made a mental note to memorize the list. 

Li Xiuying put the pages about Deng Bojing and the list of 'jobs' back in the the A4 Envelope. 

She looked back at the report, there was a head shot of face scar. Li Xiuying put the report to the side and got out of bed.  She needed a break. 

Li Xiuying stood up and then stretched, she picked up her phone and walked to the kitchen.  She put the kettle on and took a mug out of a kitchen cupboard.

Li Xiuying looked at her phone, Ren Daiyu still hadn't replied to her earlier message. 

Li Xiuying sent another message: "Daiyu, Everything okay?"

She received an instantaneously reply. 

Ren Daiyu's message: "YingYing, I'm so sorry for my late response. I'm fine, I arrived home safely. I'm just in the middle of discussing the blind date with my dad. He just doesn't seem to want to listen to reason and logic, he insists I attend the stupid date even after seeing the message! I definitely wouldn't hire him to be my lawyer."

Li Xiuying smirked and wrote back: "Hire him he's currently winning."

Ren Daiyu's message: "Who's side are you on?!"

Li Xiuying was in the middle of typing up her response when Ren Daiyu sent another message: "YingYing I'll fill you in on the situation later.  I'm going to go and try to persuade my mum and uncle to help."

Li Xiuying made herself a cup of lavender tea and returned back to her bedroom to continue reading the report.

Li Xiuying is the youngest surgeon the world has ever seen. 

Once upon a time, her work had meaning; to save lives. But soon surgery lost all of its meaning to her, she became an operating machine. She didn’t even meet the patient until they were unconscious on her surgical table like a piece of meat waiting to be carved. 

She neglected love, friendship, beauty, her health all to work tirelessly like a dog and continue to make her family happy. Even when she had no more left to give; they made sure she gave.

But betrayal came swiftly and suddenly and Li Xiuying met her untimely end at the hands of her most trusted and loves ones. 

All the world’s a stage and it seems it is not yet time for Li Xiuying to exit. She finds herself waking up in her bed, 8 years in the past.

It is the nature of human beings to resist expansion. Please understand, incarnations happen on the planet to remind human beings that they have possibilities! I have a story: A mother goes to her son's bedroom one morning and wakes him up. She says, 'Come on, my dear, wake up! It's 8 am already: you have to go to school. The son resists, 'Tell me at least three reasons why I should go to school, then I will gol' Mother says. "First: all the teachers and students will be waiting for you. Second: it is already late. Michael left the administration hall and made his way to the computer lab. He planned to use his free time at the end of class to look up some recipes and make his grocery list for dinner. First things first, he proceeded with his strategy from yesterday, using the blinders and increasing the settings to just out of reach in order to push the limits of his hands and eyes.

After typing practice, the teacher gave a brief overview of the remaining components of the suite that he didn't get to yesterday, then issued them their first project - choose a topic, do their research using the tools available on the school network, then create a report using the templating functions within the application, then construct a presentation for the class using the presentation software. Seeing an opportunity, Michael decided to complete some of the Extra Credit mission he'd received. In the interest of his "Limit Pusher" title, he also decided to use the spreadsheet application to generate charts on various statistics for his report and presentation. 

One of the other requirements was that they could only work on this during lab hours, so he was limited on what he could do at home regarding this. One of the other students asked the teacher why they couldn't work on it at home, and the teacher explained that this would give some students an unfair advantage - not everyone had a computer or access to the internet at home. This made Michael wonder - if having a computer at home was an advantage, then having one in his room was even more of an advantage. How could he best capitalize on this? Something to think about.

During their free period, he spent a few minutes organizing his thoughts for his project, then searched for and found a few recipes for this evening - he decided on roast chicken with vegetables and a green salad with a basic vinaigrette. This would leave him a lot of time while the chicken was in the oven to work on his homework.

The bell rang as he finished grabbing his printed out recipes and grocery list from the printer, and he hurried on his way to the gym for his least favourite class - physical education.

By the time the bell had rung, the whole class was already prepared in their training gear and lined up in formation next to the track outside. It was ingrained into the students from the beginning of elementary school that it was the class that started when the bell rang, not the getting ready for class. This was especially true in physical education, where getting ready for class took longer, and punishment normally included repeated trips around the the field. 

"Attention!", a loud, commanding voice called out from behind the line, making his way to the front. A hulking man with a thick neck and a thicker torso walked out, back as straight as a ramrod. There was a slight hesitation when he stepped to the right side, but he quickly stepped to and turned around in front of the students.

"I am Tesserarius Lakeshead, and you will be my charges for the next several years of your lives. I have a very long memory, and no time for nonsense. I do not care what your ultimate goals are at the end of your secondary education. My primary concern is that at the end of your secondary education, you will be prepared for your term of military service. Any questions so far?"

The formation of students was silent, looking blankly ahead. Everyone knew that this was the way of things, and had been warned by siblings or parents about what to expect. Tesserarius Lakeshead looked around briefly, then shouted. "I said 'ANY QUESTIONS!'"

"No, Tesserarius!" the students called back. Lakeshead nodded slightly in approval. "Very well. This term will be focused on preparing for the Regional Games. There will be five regions competing, which means between four to five hundred students. I don't have outrageous expectations for you, but I will tell you now that anyone who places in the bottom hundred will fail the class! Furthermore, most of you won't know this yet, but they've announced that anyone who places in the top 10 of the competition will be rewarded with a stay at the area's elite youth training facility! Now, everyone was here on time today, and no one has raised my ire yet, so consider yourselves lucky! You only have to run 5 laps. Begin now!"

The group quickly moved past the Tesserarius and made their way to the track. Michael knew that he would have to participate in the regional games, but never had any illusions about doing well. As long as he could keep out of the bottom hundred and pass the class, he would be happy. Sadly, it appeared that the System had other ideas.

"That's a little vague, System," Michael grumbled internally. "Can't you give me more details? There's a lot of events - the pentathlon, archery, wrestling, weightlifting... I can't sign up for and expect to do well in all of them."

As he was running, he started to pay more attention to the rest of the members of the class. He noticed Jeremy and Valeria were in his class, keeping an average pace in the crowd. Chatting was forbidden during practice, but they ended up adjusting their pace and grouping together, enjoying a somewhat leisurely run in silence.

Once the last stragglers finished their laps, the Tesserarius reviewed the various events in the games with the students, and had them do some basic calisthenics. Michael was still a bit sore and expended from his first morning with his own routine, so he didn't perform very well. It also became clear quite quickly what the various segments in the class were. There were the four or five experts in the class, likely children from career military families and members of some of the cadet programs. There were also the clear bottom end of the class, people who had poor health or no motivation. Michael found himself and his new friends somewhere in the middle of the group right now, despite his poor showings in the calisthenics. At the end of class, he still received a few notifications of slight improvements in his abilities.

Once he got cleaned up and changed, he quickly made his way to the grocery store on his way between home and his school. As he was arriving, the completion of his Daily Routine triggered.

He proceeded to quickly complete his shopping, keeping his receipt as his Mom had instructed him to on the phone. They would have been paying for pizza anyway, she argued, so they would reimburse him for dinner. He then made his way back to the house. Carrying his grocery bags, his arms started to complain after two separate exercise routines and now having to haul several pounds for half an hour. This was much more than his body was used to! He admonished himself, acknowledging that he was in fact pretty weak if he couldn't even do this much. Finally, he arrived back at the house, put his knapsack down by the stairs to the basement, and set down the grocery bags on the counter. He slowly pulled out all of the items, as well as the spices, dried herbs, salt, and pepper he would need from the cupboards.

Once all this was done, the system triggered.

It's the turn of the 21st century in a world not unlike our own. 14 year-old Michael wakes up on the first day of high school with a nosebleed, a splitting headache, and the voice of someone claiming to be him from a number of years in the future in his head!

Rise up the eyes to see the computer screen. Finally editing work is ready. I prepare all the equipment for tomorrow's school session. After 12 o'clock in the evening, then my eyes are good.
"Nia, get up, go by." Call my mom, Mrs. Azidah
I quickly showered and dawn prayers. The clock on the wall shows exactly 6.45am.

"Come with me, show me the class." New students and I walk alongside. There is a itching whistle that is given every time we go through another level class. Well, the ACS is full of male students. Female students are only form 6 students and above only.
"Okey boys and girls, we have a new day for you," she said as she asked herself, because I did not get to know her. " Classroom sarcasm with my eyeballs. Similarly with new students.
"There's another, Mr. Radha pi course. So, no  teacher incharge." I added again.
I stepped into my seat.
"I want to sit where?" Ask Marha Huamirah.
"Oh, you're sitting next to Nazrin, because it's empty." My direction. Maira just nodded in agreement.

School sessions run as usual. This year is the year I and my friends will fight in the field of examinations. STPM exams are scheduled for a week after SPM students answer questions.
"Nia, dah ready for STPM?" asked Fitrah
"Almost done. But a few things came out, and makes me fussy."
"Rilex la, beb. Try our best. Insyaallah be fine," replied Fauzi. I just smile and keep the reading down.

STPM Exam

"Students, tie all your answer papers, make sure your turn-by-turn numbers and identification numbers are written in each answer sheet." The direction of the responsible supervisor.
After the answer sheet is quoted, all students are rushed out of the examination hall. Each one exhibited different reactions. Some are sour, some are happy. I am no exception. Finally, it was also a torture exam. Stay waiting for the decision.
