I wasn't sure what had just happened, but I felt cold as ice, and like my insides had been scooped out in a hurry. Walking back slowly into the house, energy drained, I barely noticed when William almost ran me over. "Ah, sorry!" he said, steadying himself as he grabbed my shoulder. "I didn't see you there. Still gonna make sandwiches?"
"I'm not hungry, but sure."
He gently turned me around to face him, and he visibly struggled to keep himself from jumping back. "What's wrong with you?"
"What?" I moved past him trying to get to my car keys from the kitchen counter.
"You look like you've seen a—you look pasty and sweaty."
"So what, I was exercising," I lied, shrugging my shoulders.
"But your face looks sunken in, Evey."
After waving him off from following me, I picked up my keys and headed towards the front door. "I'll be fine."
"I'm driving you to the appointment, remember?" He grabbed an apple off the counter for himself before catching up to me. "Seriously, it looks like if you just lay down, you'd be a full-blown corpse."
Flinching at the thought, I kind of was like a walking corpse with how sluggish and horrible I felt. I gave in with a heavy sigh. "Here," I said, and threw him the keys.
The drive there was spent with William trying to beat it into me that we agreed I wouldn't drive for the time being, and I tried to bring the life back into my cheeks as I furiously pinched them. The energy was slowly returning, but not before the gum-smacking receptionist could gasp at my arrival. "Wow, you look as white as a ghost," she said shamelessly. "Bad day?"
I simply nodded and sat down while I waited for the session. William had dropped me off to run an errand, and I was glad for the few minutes to myself.
Dr. Laura didn't seem alarmed when she saw me, but instead, she kept her professional and friendly composure as she ushered me in. I managed to explain away my appearance with stress and lack of sleep, which she believed, but cautioned me to force a nap that day. At first, I felt uncomfortable keeping everything from her, but I quickly realized it was the only thing I could do. However, I kept the session going, discussing my talks with William and Alice since last week, and I successfully fooled her into thinking I'd made a healthy step forward. My heart felt sunken in my chest as I spoke because I had come so far before the visions and time ripple came into the picture. It seemed like I had only just gotten through the first wave of the horror of losing my parents, and gotten a hold of my OCD. I was performing with the symphony again, sleeping and eating regularly, and showing some semblance of living at last; but all of that was whisked away in one night, my confidence shattered.
There was a lull as Dr. Laura took a moment to sip her tiny cup of green tea. I couldn't help but wonder what she'd really say if she knew how fearful I was of everything. I had to keep it hidden from her now, and especially from William. I couldn’t let him worry about me anymore. He had his life figured out and he was happy with Alice. If he found out anything, it would bring back old problems and even strain his relationship with her. I wouldn’t allow myself to get in the way again.
When my parents died, William sacrificed so much to take care of me that he neglected Alice for months at a time. Being the compassionate woman she is, Alice understood and never once outwardly complained. I knew she was suffering though, wondering if William was ever going to come back around and if I was going to get well enough for him to do so without guilt plaguing him. He may have wanted it, but my place wasn't at home with them when they were to be married, no matter how much William thought it was. When and where could I be sane and happy? Where exactly was my place in the world? I wanted to shout it out, to crunch it into a ball and hurl it across the western hemisphere, but instead, I wore it around my neck like a weighted chain as a slave to my fears. The inner torment would continue, and I had to keep my head straight.
When it was over, I went outside and stood by the door to wait for my black Jeep to make its appearance. Glancing inside on occasion I could see the receptionist busying herself over some paperwork before she suddenly walked to the door with paper towels and cleaner in her hands. I quickly stepped out of the way, and she beamed at me as she pushed it open. "Don't have your car today?"
I shook my head. "Can't drive today, but my ride's coming."
"Ah. Excuse me," she said, shutting the door after coming back out. I left her to spray and wipe down first the outside then the inside of the glass door, until I saw her return and tape up a flyer on the inside. Through the glass at the top of the flyer read in bold letters, "A Study of Past Lives" and in regular font directly underneath, "Group Regression Therapy at the Globe Center, Thursday through Saturday mornings, starting at ten o'clock." Regression therapy, what could that mean? I suddenly jumped when the receptionist's bright smile popped out the side of the flyer.
"Hey, you interested?" she said, coming outside again. I shook my head. "You looked curious to me."
"I was just curious what it was," I said, a little annoyed with her persistence.
She shrugged, and eyeing the flyer she said, "I never really got that stuff, it's just weird if you want my opinion."
"Studying past lives?"
"Yeah, it's so ridiculous. I get that many cultures believe in reincarnation, but I don't really see the science behind it," she said with a frown and went back inside.
One of my eyebrows perked up, and my eyes widened. That day at the performance, it was like they were looking at me so clearly. That's why it seemed like a vision or a vivid dream. Could it be? It could've been a memory, and I might not have recognized what I saw because it wasn't my memory! All the images I saw during the migraine, the dreams, and . . . wait. If my visions of Delling weren't visions, but memories, then how could they really be of Delling? Were the memories of someone else?
Typing "regression therapy" in my phone, I was surprised my search revealed that group sessions were sometimes advertised at universities, or convention centers just like this one. So, it wasn't anything unusual, and I knew Dr. Laura would never advertise any therapy conventions or doctors she didn't respect. Besides, in a group session I could show up and survey the situation, anything odd at all, and I could slip out without being noticed. The Internet said it had a lot to do with hypnosis. Great, would they make me bark or dance like a chicken? The more I read through more websites, the more the information really seemed like serious work.
It may have been strange, but maybe it only seemed that way. Frankly, I was willing to try almost anything to get to the truth. I needed to know what was wrong with me. Maybe the therapy wasn’t actually about finding the cure of an answer from a past life but making people feel better. I could use a moment or two of feeling good again, for real.
William pulled up in my Jeep just then, and I snapped a picture of the flyer before hopping into the passenger seat. Whatever the future held for me, maybe this was the answer that could help me get to it, through the past.

Tania, upon entering her room, was thinking about the words her father had encircled in her comic book which she had deciphered and shown her grandparents.
Her grandfather had asked her to try to contact Sanya through her dreams. Sanya, was Tania in her first life during the Indus Valley Civilization. This girl, had visited Tania for the first time in her dream, when her relatives had landed up in Moscow. Her Dada ji was of the opinion that Sanya would surface in the next Past Life Regression session which was slated for the day after tomorrow.
Her father, before his demise in the car accident, had indirectly warned her not to trust her Igor Uncle. He had apparently realized that Igor was a notorious character and after their property. Igor had visited her mother, when she was in her mother's womb, and called the developing baby and her mother all sorts of names. He had even threatened to kill everyone in the family. Her mother had not told her father about this incident.
Her uncle, had apparently visited her father a few days prior to the car accident of her parents. He had threatened her father too, in a similar manner. Apparently, Igor Uncle seemed to be carrying a long standing grudge against him, as to why his sister had married an Indian. He was not happy with her marring a person from another religion, another culture and another country. The encoded message had further guided her to contact her paternal grandfather who would help her.
It was past 1 a.m. when Tania finally fell asleep. She had wished that Sanya would come to her in her dream or when she went for the therapy session.  But there was no Sanya and Tania had a sound sleep. When she woke up in the morning, it was past 7.30 a.m. She was not aware of any dream. If there was any dream, it was probably meaningless.
Normally, Tania would get ready in the morning and take a 40 minutes brisk walk. But, since her relatives from both sides had landed up in her home to meet her, she had  forgone her brisk walking routine.  However, today, she was in two minds whether to start her walking again or to sit down to meditate. She decided to meditate as there was ample time before breakfast. After taking her bath and getting ready, she sat down and started to meditate.
As she looked inwards, her body became calm. Her heartbeat became slower than normal and her breathing became slow too.  Soon her whole body was quiet and relaxed. She was in a trance like state and with her eyes closed, she could see a flashes of  scenery passing in from of her eyes. First of all she saw some sort of a desert area, then there was some sort of a green forest area. Soon the forest area opened outward to a clear and clean light blue sea.
Thereafter, she was observing some sort of a coast line with a harbour and a breakwater in the distance. It was something one would find in a modern harbour. But here the rail mounted and wheels mounted cranes were missing. These cares in present day times are used to load and offload containers.
Instead of big ships at anchor far away or smaller boats anchored near land or pilot boats helping the  smaller ship manoeuver the rocky waters, there were numerous dhow like boats. These dhows were teetered on the Jetty which is a piece of land jutting out into the sea. These dhows were quite similar to the ones the Arabs used to take a voyage on during the monsoon in order to trade with African kingdoms and the Indian ports.
She then saw herself, as Sanya, walking on the jetty with someone. The person Sanya was walking with was a young handsome man of about 28 years of age. They were dressed in Indian clothes and upon reaching the end of the jetty, they turned around and faced Tania. They both smiled and came towards her.
"It is good that you have come looking for us," Sanya said with a smile.
"Yes, at present I am sitting in meditation. You had visited me only twice and I need to know more about you." Tania responded.
"Hmmm, I can understand your plight. In every life you are seeing yourself dying. But in my life I did not die,"  Sanya said with a smile, " and that is why your uncle is coming again and again to settle scores with me."
"How do you know all this?" Tania inquired looking surprised.
"I know that you are attending Past Life Regression sessions and now your doctor feels that I should make an appearance to clear various issues." Sanya responded.
" We are the same soul but connected across time for an important matter. Don't worry, I will show myself in your next or the subsequent session or maybe in both. There are certain things left in the past which need to be cleared up."


"Wait I will clear something for you."
"You see, after the King, my father died, my uncle held a coronation ceremony for me. Many kings and princes were invited."
"I hope you can recall that day when you and I had entered the King's chamber and we hid behind the curtains to avoid detection, and also to hear what all was being said."


"Yes, I do remember," replied Tania and added, "I had heard what this uncle was plotting to do."
"Absolutely! so I knew what was going to be his next step at the time of the coronation."
"When you saw me at the temple, I had already decided to disappear."
"I had decided to run away on the day of the coronation itself.  I could not inform you as someone came knocking at your door and I had to leave immediately."
"My uncle had the intention of announcing my engagement, immediately after the coronation ceremony but I had no intention to get tied up with the prince of the neighbouring country, who was my uncle's supporter and friend."
"I would never have been safe there."

Tania is an only child born to parents of Russian and Indian origin. She has lived her entire life in Russia. After the demise of her parents in a car accident, she is left all alone in a huge house. Her paternal and maternal grandparents want to take her into their fold and plan to come to Moscow to convince her to join them in India or Ukraine. Since her childhood, she had been having these recurring dreams in which she sees herself visiting certain temples and forts. These dreams feel so real. The doctors she visits in Moscow are not able to figure out what is wrong with her. On the contrary, they tell her that she has a vivid imagination. Tania decides to search for a reply herself and reads a book on dreams as well as a few volumes on 'Past Life Regression'. 


The day her relatives arrive from India and Ukraine, she, in her dream, travels to India and meets her past self. Tania's past self had another name. Her name was Sanya and she had lived centuries ago as a princess of Kalibangan during the Indus Valley Civilisation. Sanya tells Tania of a plot to kill her in the present life. A plot had been hatched in her past life too. At that time her brother, mother and father had been murdered.

Folks, this is not a Fantasy Romance novel. Unfortunately, the genre for female lead novels gives the term Fantasy Romance only. There is no choice.  Maybe I will add a Romance angle at the end.


I am publishing 1 chapters a week as I need to do a bit of research for the chapters.

I was shocked to see professor. It seemed like someone had betrayed and stabbed a  sharp knife in mu chest. I was observing him and his eyes were red and I can see a black aura which was forming around him. He spoke " hello  princesses,  don't worry Swarna  today I will not take any life energy from you but from tomorrow both of you  will give me life energy". He laughed evily and I was obviously scared. 

Then all of the sudden the black aura disappeared from professor and his red evil eyes got converted into normal eyes. I realized that professor was possessed by something or someone and even he was not aware of the reality. I tried to wake up professor but everything I tried was worthless. He was unconscious. 

I was not able to understand what was happening. I just wanted to leave that place. I asked the girl " is there any way to get out of the dungeons?". 

She was sitting silently and after sometime she said " If we have to escape from this hell, we have to get rid of this chain". 

I thought to myself and then I decided to use my powers to open up the chain. It just focus over the locked which was present on my chains and as I tried to remove the lock  an energy shield was formed. Which prevented my powers to open the chain.

I thought for sometime and realized that every symbol represents individuals element. It prevent that particular element's power to work upon it. I immediately used my powers and opened the chain that was bound to  the hands and legs of that girl. She then stood up and was more powerful than earlier and used her powers to open up my chain. We both started to run,  as we were about to run out of the cell professor woke up and he was again having that evil eyes and I was again able to see that black aura surrounding him. 

He moved towards me and grabbed choked me with his hands. I was struggling out for air. 

Then I heard that girl saying " don't you dare touch her, she is my sister and you can't harm her until I am surviving..... because love within us was and will be always strong". She used her powers due to which a strong wind started to flow and then professor was again unconscious. 

She ran to me while I tried to get my breath I was about to fall but she holded and gave me support. I asked her is there any other and short way to get out of this place.

She said that " only way to get out of this place is to unite our powers. As water and air are present everywhere in physical form so we can unite our powers and create a portal and through that we can get out of this hell". I agreed and was suprised to see that she was capable to control air in similar as I was capable to control  water. We holded each others hand and the very next moment a portal was formed. We ran through it, and within few seconds we were in Kali mandir.

I was so much exhausted that I took support of a pillar and slept immediately. When I woke up it was early morning and then I realized that the temple was really gorgeous and it had a divine murti (statue) of Maa kali. 

I saw that girl she was sleeping just beside me. I stood up and started searching for some water. I listened a sound of river,  so I went to the river and collected some water in a large leaf which I found in my path to the river.

I took water to that girl and woke her up to have some water. She seemed weak but yet better I asked her that how she knew my name and she said 

" you still can't figure out that I am your elder sister,  we all were killed  during that stupid ritual which was performed to get access overall the elements".

I listened to her but was still confused. Yes I was capable to control water but that doesn't mean that I am the second princess. She saw my face and was able to figure out that I was not able to understand anything. 

She said to me that her name was Swaranjali which was given by her mother and she also made me aware that at present only in this temple we were safe.

I asked her that in which city we were and she replied we were in Rudrapur. I was shocked but then i calmed down myself and reached to the PCO where I made a call to Jaya and Shaurya and both of them agreed to reach Rudrapur within few hours. 

I came back to the temple and I can listen the chimes of the temple bells which relaxed me and I again slept for few hours as I was extremely tired.  

I woke up when Swaranjali asked brought me the lunch and we both had it. Staying with her was not making me uncomfortable rather i was much more happy and open up to her. It doesn't seemed like we meeting for first time. 

But as we completed our lunch she said me that I must go for a past life regressio  therapy as this is the only way for protecting all four of us.  I was extremely annoyed with this satatement and I started to yell at her. But after that i felt very bad for my behavior and I apologized to her. She was calm and said "don't worry all this happened even with me also...even I was not able to accept the truth but after sometime all thing started to make sense to me". 

I went to the main prayer hall of tepmle and prayed Maa Kali to protect everyone whom i love. 

Then Jaya said that within two days navratri will get started and on tenth day we will take my for past life regression therapy in action.

I agreed and eagerly started waiting for Shaurya.

Chapter 42: ARRIVAL



<Mikael PoV>

Me and Miriam was now waiting for Kyle, we are in the NAIA. Miriam was watching the people, foreigners or local, walking out the gate. 

"... found him. "

"Huh, where?... That's him!! Hey! Kyle we are here!"

Miriam shouted and people look at her. Someone even tried to take a picture, yes we are famous now. I guess a lot of people saw the news.

"Miriam lower your voice. I remembered your poker face last night, why don't you do that at least sometimes? You looked mature at that time."

I said, I heard the sound of clicking of camera.... I'm not accustomed to this kind of treatment. 

"hah, this and that were different. This is my normal face. And that was my business face"

"Business?"

She nodded and crossed her arms.

"I graduated in Business Administration. Sometimes I help my family in running our business. "

When she said business, the first thing that entered my mind was Ai Biyu's offer... And aside from that, I remember that there's something I detected yesterday. 

"Ah, I see.... Hey, did you felt the man who's hiding inside the room with Ai Biyu? I can't detect his presence. I guess he's a stealth type. Perhaps you saw him by using your Clairvoyance."

"Oh, that. Of course! He is an Asian. He's wearing a mask so I can't identify his gender.  He used some kind of Shadow Merge thingy"

She smirked showing that I must praise her. 

"You're amazing Miriam, as expected of you. You never disappoint us when it comes to this kind of thing. "

I scratch my head. I know that you're the best person to talk when it comes to scouting. 

She giggled and wave her hand.

"Hehehe. No, don't flatter me. I just saw him appearing when we left the building. He talked to Ai Biyu, as for what it is, I don't know. "

"Damn right. You're not just beautiful, you're talented too!"

"Hehe."

While holding his bag, Kyle walked and stopped in our location. Behind him, I saw a man who has a reddish brown hair. 

Kyle greeted us with his "kuku" laugh.

"What's up? Did something happen? "

"We are doing fine, nothing happens. By the way, who's that?"

I asked him. I found it a miracle that Kyle had a friend. He's a living demon. 

"This is Christian Rothschild. My business partner"

Your business partner, huh. So we were not part of that business, I guess. As for the name Christian... it does ring a bell. Why do I remember that hobgoblin. Eh? Did I forgot something?.... Well, if I forgot it, then it's not important.

" I know what you're thinking. Yes, my business partner. You're just my workers, my slave to be exact. You don't have the rights to question my decision, understand?"

"Yes, yes ~ boss"

I said.

Christian came in and greet us. 

"Nice to meet you, I'm Christian. Kyle told me about the two of you"

Miriam looked at her head to toe, her forehead furrowed.

"Pardon me, but what did Kyle promise to you? You see, this friend of ours will use gun just to get what he wants. I hope you're not threatened or blackmailed."

Good question, Miriam. I'm actually curious about that.

"Hahaha fortunately no he's not. He promised me that he will give me the strongest Skill Book....? After some thoughts, I accept his term to be my business partner. "

"You agreed easily? "

"About that. We will become an official partner after I receive the Skill Book. For now, its a temporary contract. "

He shook his head and explained it further.

"Oy Kyle, I got this Two Skill Book but I can't use it. The system says,  not compatible. What does it mean?"

"Oh really? Two weeks, we didn't see each other in two weeks and now you're saying you received a Skill Books? Two at that. Tell me, did you have an Item that has Increased Luck effect? Or did you do good things in your past life?"

He shrugged saying that he found it odd. 

"No, I don't have any Item like that. As for my past life, I don't know. Should I ask for a past regression therapy? "

"Never mind, let's get out of here. We can't talk here, it's too noisy. Is this really like this in your country? "

I just chuckle. 

I can't tell him that NAIA was once called as the worst airport of the world... well not that I care. 

We left the place, some people tried to asked about selfie but Kyle gave them deadly glare.

Dave woke up with cold sweat on his forehead.
'Damn, nightmares!'
Nightmares started haunting him when the apocalypse had descended on the planet. At first, they were more or less bearable, but as he continued to survive, more nightmares followed him in his sleep.
Seeing how Brian and Adam were still sleeping, Dave smiled slightly chasing away his worries.
'I think it is time to use knowledge from a past life.'
After brief sleep, Dave felt refreshed and energized. He crossed his legs and sat on the ground entering meditation state.
Increasing spirit points wasn't the only way to obtain mana.
In his past life, survivors later learned that they can attract mana from the surroundings, but most of the people still added free points to spirit stat since it was too difficult to increase mana through meditation.
Dave knew that spirit stat was more about soul power than mana. The increase in mana was just a byproduct of strengthening a soul.
Dave had trained diligently over his past life picking up several tricks to strengthen himself, so he was able to learn meditation, though he spent lots of time learning it.
After 15 minutes of meditation, Dave sensed blue particles around him drifting in the air. They were concentrated clusters of mana.
He concentrated his mind on one of them, attracting it to his body. As another 10 minuted had passed, the blue particle moved close enough to his body. 
When he finally absorbed his first particle of mana, a system notification appeared before his eyes.

Dave was shocked by the consecutive system notifications. He never thought that his Regression would still hide more surprises for him.
'Can it transfer my experience from past life to the current one to level up my skills?' Dave thought that it was a reasonable idea since his Meditation had levelled up to the level from his previous life.
Still excited from his discovery, he decided to leave the meditative state and try another skill from his past life.
He paced his breathing to force his heart pump the blood faster through the blood vessels. As his heart beat faster than before, his body started heating up.
Dave felt as strength surged through his body. However, right when he got at the last moment, he felt a sharp pain from his heart as it was going to explode.
Gasping for air, Dave convulsed on the floor, his hands on his heart. 
He gritted his teeth as he tried to bear with the pain. It felt like all his body was being shredded as his heart was going to explode.
Fortunately, after several minutes the pain decreased slightly as he tried to stand up from the floor.
'It seems that I should wait until my stamina reached the requirements.'  Dave groaned painfully as he thought till that point.
Dave was ready for the backlash right from the beginning. Usually, to learn a skill he wanted to acquire, people should have 10 points in stamina.
However, he hoped that Regression would help him with learning it, even though he had only 9 points, 1 point short from the 10. 
'It means that I can't overcome the basic requirements to learn the skill' Making conclusions in his head, Dave started planning on how to use his innate ability.
'I learned lots of main and miscellaneous skills in my past life, but most of them have requirements I have yet to fulfil.' Thinking up to this point, Dave renewed his meditation.

He can't help but notice that he entered a meditative state much faster than before. At the same time, he absorbed blue particles of light much faster than a full 10 minutes. The time had gone down by 2 and a half minutes.
As he was immersed in his meditation, time flew by. At some point, Brian and Adam woke up from their sleep.
The first thing they noticed after waking up was Dave who was sat cross-legged. It was hard not to see a person who was sitting strangely on the floor as though he was a monk.
"Dave, what are you doing?" 
When Brian saw how Dave was meditating, he couldn't help but exclaim surprisedly. Both he and Adam were surprised to see Dave waking up early than them, not to say, meditating next to the wall.
Interrupted by Brian, Dave left a meditative state. He decided to teach them more about mana covering it by the premise of sudden discovery.
"I woke up a bit earlier than you, and I decided to do some experiments. I discovered that we can increase our mana reserves through meditation and learn to control it with our will. 
Putting it into simpler words, if we take mana as water and spirit as a suction force, then meditation is an effective way to apply force to gather more water"
Dave tried to explain the theory behind mana as simple as possible. Brian seemed to be in a daze trying to understand his words, while Adam looked like he got a gist of what he wanted to say.
"Should we also try it?"
Adam was the first one to propose it. Even though Dave implied it in his words, Adam showed a willingness to get stronger.
When Adam proposed to meditate with him, Brian chipped in. Both of them wanted to grow stronger since the world was no more a safe place to live.
"Adam, if you want it, you can try meditating. As for you Brian, I want you to learn how to control your innate ability."
Dave didn't have high hopes that Adam would learn meditation immediately, but it was better to start learning it now. 
As for Brian, their survival depended on his Life Pulse. The faster he learns how to control the range of his innate ability, the more chances they will have to survive.
"But I already tried it before. I have no idea how to do it."
Brian tried to retort his words, but Dave was unwavering.
"Don't be too hasty. At first, you may try to direct your Life Pulse in one direction. It is your ability and only you know how to use it. I won't be much of a help."
Dave was sincere here. Even though he knew that it was possible to control an innate ability, he never had one in his past life. Hence, the help he could provide was limited.
Occasionally sharing his insights with them, Dave wanted to plan their next step. But at first, he wanted to check how much mana he had gathered since he had no time to check it before his meditation was interrupted by Brian.

As Dave thought, his Regression is amazing. Not only it had sent him back in time, but it was also able to transfer his experience from the past to this life.
People couldn't just level up their skills even if they had enough understanding of it. It levelled up depending on two factors. 
First was understanding of their skills to move it to the next level. For example, a person can't have a higher level of Math if a user didn't have knowledge corresponding to the next level. 
The second depended on how often it was used. More often you use it, more adept you will become in it and faster it will level up.

A heavenly voice sounded in the minds of people and led to the destruction of modern civilization. The monsters had appeared all over the world, leading people to the new era.

Neither Bella nor Dan said a word to each other during the drive home. They were both lost in their own thoughts. What were the chances that it was all mere coincidence? How was it possible that he had just had a kind of vision of himself dressed in that exact outfit, and now he was seeing it in a painting? Not just any painting but one which had been discovered under water? 
The rest of the conversation after seeing the painting had gone in a blur, but somehow he had managed to hear Kathleen say the name of the person in the painting was Prince Ian. None of it made any sense to him, yet it all made sense, even though he just couldn't explain anything that was happening. Dan was itching to ask Bella what she knew or thought about the painting, but he couldn't bring himself to do that. Thankfully he had made up an excuse for them to leave after sometime when it seemed like the pizza guy wasn't going to come. 
Bella on the other hand had gone pale when she saw the painting. More than the striking resemblance between Dan and the person in the painting, the realization that the clothes he had been wearing in the photo was what she had seen in her dream and vision earlier, had scared the shit out of her. She had stabbed him in her dream or was it a vision? She sat up in her seat and turned to spare him a glance. If it was truly what she was thinking and this was really their past life then that meant she had killed him. She quickly looked away from him when she noticed he was turning to look at her.
Now that she had gotten past the shock, she was beginning to wonder why the painting had seemed so familiar. She could have sworn that for a moment there she had actually felt like she had made that painting herself. She recognized every stroke and shade on the painting. Somehow she could also swear that whatever was probably written behind the painting was written in an handwriting which was similar to hers, if not exactly hers. 
Dan noticed her sudden movement but thought nothing of it, "What do you think about the painting? Do you agree with them?" Dan asked after he parked the car and turned in his seat to look at her. He wanted to know what she was really thinking about the painting. 
"You really do look like the man in the painting. He is a prince..." She said, leaving her words hanging. 
Dan could tell she was referring to their earlier conversation about their past lives, and how he had said he thought he was from a royal family, but she couldn't continue because they and discussed it on their date when she was Bella, "Yes he is, and I'm not." Dan said, choosing to play ignorant. 
"I noticed your face went pale when you saw the painting, is there a particular reason for that?" Dan asked, watching her face with interest. 
Bella looked up in surprise when she noticed that he was no longer driving, and that the car parked the car in front of the house. She must have been very distracted to not have realized they were home already. "You're not taking the car to the garage?" She asked, trying to avoid his question. 
She never ceased to disappoint him, "You can go in. I'll take it to the garage myself." Dan offered as he signalled for her to get out of the car so he could leave. 
"Okay, I'll just go fix dinner before you return..."
The least he could do after such an horrible date was to at least fix dinner for her seeing as she was tired already, "That won't be necessary. I'm sure you're exhausted after working all day at the restaurant. I'll just park the car and then fix something really quickly for us." Dan said, surprising her. 
Bella looked at him in disbelief, "You will cook?" She asked, as though to confirm that she had heard him correctly. 
"Can you just get out of the car? We don't have all night!" Dan said with a scowl. 
"I knew you didn't mean it!" Bella said with a scoff as she reached for the door and opened it. 
Dan didn't bother correcting her since he knew her well enough to know that she was just trying to get him to repeat what he had said. He waited until she was almost close to the door before calling out to her, "Ben... Take your time to freshen up. I'll need to make a couple of calls before I come in, and then I'll fix dinner." He assured her since he knew she had to take care of her personal business and she would need all the privacy she could get instead of being scared he might barge in on her. 
Bella stuck her tongue in a cheek to hide her smile as she quickly walked into the house, 'So he really thinks I spent the day working at the restaurant so he could go on a date?' She giggled to herself as she danced all the way to her room. She was indeed too tired to cook anyway, so she was just going to take her time to shower since he had said he was going to be busy making phone calls, and then she would give Joan a call before going out to join him for dinner. Bella decided as she walked into her bedroom, shut the door behind her and took off her clothes before walking into the bathroom. 
After parking the car in the garage, Dan remained inside the car before dialing his mother's number, "Hey darling, I was just about to give you a ca..."
"Mom! What is this I hear about you trying to look into my personal assistant?" Dan cut her off before she could finish. He didn't bother beating around the bush. His mother was someone he never liked pretending to. He loved being very open with her and he wasn't going to do otherwise now simply because he had heard it from Kat.
"Who told you? Was it Zach or your friends?" Claire asked without bothering to pretend either. 
"What? You eeny talked to Zach too?" Dan asked feeling very angry now. 
"What would you have me do? I can't help being worried about you. You can afford to be so trusting of everyone, but I can't. You're all I have and I can't afford to lose you, especially not now that your father is feeling ill. What if he is working for your brother?" Claire said in a quiet tone that calmed him.
"Do you trust me? Do you trust my judgement?" Dan asked in a much calmer tone now. 
"You know I do..."
"Then please I need you to not interfere in my life or in my decisions anymore. Trust me when I say I trust Ben. He's a good guy." Dan said sounding very confident. 
"Are you okay?" Claire asked with a worried frown. 
"What do you mean?" Dan asked wearily. His mother had the uncanny ability to detect even the slightest change in his mood no matter how much he tried to hide it. 
"Well, for one you sound like you're tired, and also you sound like something is bothering you. I know you can't possibly sound this way because I talked to your friends about your personal assistant. Is something bothering you? Did something happen?" 
"I'm okay." Dan said, and briefly considered asking his mother if she believed in past lives or knew anything about it, "Mom?"
"Yeah? Go on, you know you can tell me anything." She encouraged. 
"This may sound stupid, but do you believe in past lives? Like reincarnation?" 
"Past lives? Yeah, I do." Claire said, surprising her son. 
"You do? Really? Why?"
Claire laughed softly when she heard the surprise in his voice, "I suppose I've been your mother for so long that you've forgotten that I'm also psychologist. Anyway, I've had several patients in the past who kept claiming they were having flashes of experiences they did not remember, so myself and my colleagues did a research on it and found out about the hypnotic regression therapy. That's how we got to know more about it." Claire explained, "I even tried it on you, don't you remember?" 
"On me? When? I can't remember anything of that sort. Why did you do it? What did you find?" Dan asked, his heart beating really fast as he waited for her response. 
"I think you were about ten years old then. Initially I was just trying it out on you to see if it works and to know if you had any past live experiences, but then you responded." Claire said with a small smile as she remembered it. 
"I did? What did I do or say?" Dan asked impatiently. He felt that whatever his mother was going to say now was tied to all that was going on in his life. 
"I can't remember the exact words, but you said you were waiting for someone. And that it wasn't time to remember yet." 


Year 1718

Princess Becca, first daughter of King Eric the nineteenth, of the kingdom of Rodena, stood before Prince Ian, the rightful heir to the throne of the Lumba kingdom, which had conquered her kingdom in war and beheaded her dear father.

She was standing before him not as a princess but as his valet in place of her identical twin brother who she had told to go into hiding until he was strong enough to return and fight for what was rightfully theirs. 


"Aren't you a little too feminine for a prince?" Prince Ian asked with a smirk as he showered in the bathroom while Becca laid out his clothes on the bed. 

"Don't you think it is unprince like to be thinking about your valet while having your bathe?" Becca asked shooting darts at his direction with her eyes. 

"Hahahaha. I can't help it." Prince Ian said chuckling in amusement as he stepped out of the bathroom stark naked. 

Princess Becca gasped in surprise immediately she saw his naked body and quickly turned around to hide the blush on her face. 

"What? I take it you haven't seen a naked male body before?" Prince Ian asked hiding his smile. 

Princess Becca quickly cleared her throat... "Of course I've seen my body and that of my warriors in the past." she said raising her chin up defensively. 

"Does that mean you all have feminine bodies and mine is the only truly masculine body you have seen? Is that why you can't look at me?" He teased with a smile. 

"Your clothes are laid out on the bed. You should hurry and get dressed." She said and turned to leave. 

"Princess Rebecca... the duty of a royal valet is to dress up his prince. If you're going to pretend to be your brother, then you should at least do it right." Prince Ian said with a chuckle as he dressed up. 

"What? You know?" She asked with a surprised gasp. 

"Do I look that stupid to you? Of course I've always known." He said with a confident grin.


Year 2018 (300 Years Later)

Dan's chest felt really tight and his vision was slightly blurred by tears as he looked into her eyes. He felt a sense of indescribable sadness as he looked at her and he could have sworn that he knew her from somewhere or had seen her somewhere, but he couldn't tell where. 

Bella's heart ached and her vision was slightly blurred by tears as she looked into his eyes. A feeling of indescribable sadness washed over her as she looked at him. She had a nagging feeling inside of her that she knew him but she couldn't understand why, since this was the very first time she was meeting him. 

"Since you seem to really want my attention and I need to sleep, how about I bribe you with a gift to keep you quiet?" Dan asked, and before she could respond, he dragged her close to himself and crushed her lips with his own in a kiss.

Bella stood transfixed with shock as he kissed her long and hard. She suddenly gasped in mortification before pushing him away from her with a strength that surprised him. 

How could she be disgusted that an award winning actor and singer like himself had gifted her a kiss? That was even far better than any autograph he could have given her. Dan wondered.

Well... have you ever heard of butterfly effect? It's about that every little change in the past can change future very much. For example there was a guy who you didn't kill in a past but you did it now, this guy was suppose to kill Hitler but now he is dead, so in this reality Hitler won.
But let's get back to the story. Get back to our character Jack, who got that ability in this hard world filled with monsters, dungeons, items and skills.

Han Su-Yeong explained the plan in clear, concise words.
One, in order to rescue Kim Dok-Ja, they had to cross the [Final Wall].
Two, to cross the [Final Wall], they needed a total of five [fragments].
Three, the only remaining fragment in this world-line was [The 4th Wall] Kim Dok-Ja's Avatar possessed.
Four, to acquire the other four fragments, they were to perform 'group regression' and cross over to another world-line.
The companions stared at each other with slightly dazed expressions after hearing that very concise plan.
The first one to ask was Yi Ji-Hye. "...Will that even be possible?"
"This guy said it is, so I'm sure it will be," replied Han Su-Yeong.
After receiving her gaze, Yu Jung-Hyeok nodded his head. "It's possible. However, my Stigma hasn't finished evolving yet, so it might take a little while longer. We needed time to prepare ourselves, anyway."
"....Hold on. This 'regression' you speak of, Master, just what is the principle behind it?"
"When I activate the regression, we will all return to the past, to the starting point of the scenarios."
"Then, what about our own world?"
"A brand new world-line separate from this one will be created. If you want to count the regression number, then... It'll be the 1865th turn."
The 1865th world-line.
It was such a gob-smacking number that the companions could only blink their eyes in stupefaction.
"So, you're saying we should give it another shot over there."
As if she had already expected something like this before coming here, Jeong Hui-Won's expression as she said those words was filled with sheer determination. However, not everyone held the same view as her.
"According to my knowledge, your 'regression' this time had been a little special, wasn't it?" Yu Sang-Ah was the one saying these words. "I read about 'regressions' inside Dok-Ja-ssi's library so I know a few things about it, as well. All of your regressions until now had been based on the worldview of the 'Ways of Survival'. However, this regression turn was a little bit special, wasn't it."
Other companions seemed to have finally realised, at least a little bit, what she was talking about.
The current 'world-line' was different from Yu Jung-Hyeok's past regressions. It was the world-line brought to life by Yu Jung-Hyeok's desire to see the 'end'.
A portion of [The 4th Wall] caved in, and that resulted in a world where reality and fiction combined into one. Its proof was that this regression turn featured some people who weren't characters from the 'Ways of Survival'.
"Can all of us really go back together? Can you assure us that'll be the case?"
If Yu Jung-Hyeok's 'regression' activated with the 'Ways of Survival' as its operational criteria, then several of the companions, such as Yu Sang-Ah and Yi Gil-Yeong, couldn't accompany him.
Yu Jung-Hyeok slowly blinked his eyes and replied. "Regression will activate with the world-line that I am currently in as its operational criteria."
"That means this 'Dok-Ja-ssi' can travel with us, too."
Yu Sang-Ah pointed to Kim Dok-Ja lying on the hospital bed behind them.
The reason why this world's Kim Dok-Ja was dying had to do with the power of the system weakening gradually. However, if they could take this Kim Dok-Ja with them through [Group Regression], then he'd go under <Star Stream>'s system once more.
Yu Jung-Hyeok lightly nodded his head. "...Probably."
"Well, it's settled, then. Anyone not agreeing to it, raise your hands."
Shin Yu-Seung cautiously raised her hand at Han Su-Yeong's cocky tone of voice indicating that she didn't think anyone would oppose the decision.
"Argh, what do you think you are doing?" Han Su-Yeong asked back.
"....I'm not sure if this is the right thing to do. Didn't ahjussi want Jung-Hyeok ahjussi to stop regressing?"
"That idiot never really cared about what we wanted, anyway. Even steven, I say."
"If Jung-Hyeok ahjussi regresses, scenarios will begin in the world again. Lots of people will die. And they'll be thrown into tragedies again. Constellations will use people as their toys... And many won't even get to clear the first scenario."
Shin Yu-Seung was right.
Perhaps, one could argue that she was the Incarnation who understood 'Kim Dok-Ja's' thoughts better than anyone among the companions.
And for sure, he probably didn't want to create such misery.
However, Han Su-Yeong's thoughts were different. "And so, you think 'misery' won't happen if we don't regress?"
"Excuse me?"
Han Su-Yeong sighed lightly and looked up at the empty air. "Hey, you. Just for how long are you going to sit back and spectate?"
At the end of that question, a ball of fine hair suddenly popped up in the air.
[Bah-aht?]
Han Su-Yeong tutted unhappily in the direction of Biyu employing the innocent-looking puppy-eyes tactic. "You and that thing again."
That prompted Yu Jung-Hyeok to say something. "Biyu."
Biyu dry-coughed a bit before opening her mouth. [Whether you regress or not, other world-lines will continue to be destroyed.]
Biyu's fluent Korean caused Shin Yu-Seung's jaw to drop.
She already knew that the small Dokkaebi could speak. But this would be the first time since the subway that they got to converse at length.
"....How do you know that?"
[Because I'm the 'Dokkaebi King' now, that's why.]
After going 'Ahem!', Biyu then pounded her chest with that small arm of hers.
Not only was she not a Dokkaebi affiliated with the Bureau, but she also happened to be one that inherited the Dokkaebi King's <Star Stream> in full, too.
The only reason why the <Star Stream>'s influence persisted at all was because of her, and at the same time, its gradual disappearance was the result of no Dokkaebis other than Biyu currently existing.
[You may not be aware of this, but world-lines are being born every minute and every second.]
"...Every minute and second?"
[That's right. Whenever an existence in a world makes a decision on something, a brand new world-line will be born. Every time you flipped that coin, Yu-Seung-ah, a new world-line was born and got destroyed.]
The world-lines were basically like a tree's branches that got divided whenever choices were made, Biyu explained.
[The 'regression' is simply a special method of choosing 'world-lines', that's all. It's like, you're returning to the point in time when the choice was made to start a new branch.]
It was a head-trip of a revelation.
"In that case, just how many worlds, until now...."
Biyu opened her mouth again as if she had already read the vast, boundless despair of the gathered companions. [….Only Father would know that.]
'Father'.
There could only ever be one person that Biyu would refer to as her 'father' in all of the world-lines.
The Constellation responsible for establishing <Kim Dok-Ja Company>.
And the existence that ended up becoming this universe's 'Most Ancient Dream'.
[You can only change one world-line out of all the countless others out there.]

The companions earnestly started cooking up their plan on the following day.
Project <Capture the Squid>. Han Su-Yeong came up with that title.
"What was the standard of 'lifeform' as accepted by <Star Stream>, again?"
Since they all decided to 'regress' once more, they had to come up with a truly perfect plan.
The companions often discussed the methods to thoroughly and completely conquer the scenarios, and the one topic their opinions seemed to clash far more than any other was the 'first scenario'.
"What about germs? Germs are also lifeforms, aren't they? If you spray hydrochloric acid on a hand, wouldn't you get, like, ten thousand Coins?"
"If such a thing was accepted, then a person doing nothing should've survived, too. Our bodies kill germs in real-time, you know."
"Some people survived without doing anything, though."
"We can't afford to let fate decide for us. We definitely need to kill something."
"I killed a grasshopper to survive back then. And I heard Dok-Ja hyung even resorted to breaking grasshopper eggs to earn Coins."
Han Su-Yeong quietly listening to the various opinions began jotting them down on the memo.
"So, then. Insect eggs are counted as lifeforms in <Star Stream>'s standards."
"Why don't the germs count, though?"
"I think it has something to do with you actually being able to perceive the taking of life. Should we ask Biyu about it?"
Even the 'Team Anna' featuring Selena Kim and Iris was added to the mix, and the strategy meeting became even livelier than before.
"This route is the best one to take during here."
"....No, hang on. This one's better. According to my [Predictive Plagiarism]..."
Kim Dok-Ja didn't exist in the next regression turn waiting for them. However, that didn't mean they knew nothing, either.
Yu Jung-Hyeok was in possession of the 1863rd turn's memories he got from the 'Secretive Plotter', and...
Han Su-Yeong possessed the [Predictive Plagiarism].
And Yu Sang-Ah had read the records within [The 4th Wall]'s library.
⸢And finally, they were the only beings that managed to go beyond the [Final Wall].⸥
Han Su-Yeong was able to breathe again after the first meeting came to an end. It had been only a week; according to Yu Jung-Hyeok, the 'group regression' would only be available in a month's time from now.
The companions sometimes argued with each other over the methods of clearing scenarios.
"The ⸢Greatest Sacrificial Lamb⸥. You gotta definitely....."
"Did you forget that Dok-Ja-ssi died back then? If you do it this way...."
They hated the scenario more than anyone out there.
Even then, even as they discussed it at length, the companions seemed excited about something, somehow.
Why was this? They regained their reality by barely surviving past the scenarios, yet how could they be so jovial when discussing a plan to return to the 'scenarios'?
⸢Reality didn't refer to a specific 'place'.⸥
Maybe this was because all of them couldn't forget about a certain someone.
Maybe, they just couldn't forget the time they spent together with that certain someone to survive the horrifying tragedy.
"I still remember everything about the [Cinema Dungeon]. Dok-Ja-ssi did this here...."
The locations where each of the companions joined the group might have been different. The time they remembered, and the 'Kim Dok-Ja' they remembered, were also different.
Despite all that, just like how Yu Jung-Hyeok's numerous regression turns eventually gathered to become 'one person', it was a similar story for Kim Dok-Ja, as well.
"The [Absolute Throne]. According to Dok-Ja hyung's words..."
Parts of Kim Dok-Ja different people liked gathered to become one Kim Dok-Ja. And...
"....I miss it back then."
...And Kim Dok-Ja's parts gathered in that manner caused the companions to start loving the other parts still unfamiliar to them.
Han Su-Yeong slowly turned her head and her eyes caught the figure of Yu Jung-Hyeok sitting in a lotus position. Golden rings were looping around his entire body as he trained hard in order to evolve his Stigma.
Han Su-Yeong wordlessly observed him for a while, before asking a question. "Hey. I was curious about something."
"I'm concentrating, so stop bothering me."
"You told me earlier that you recalled the memories from the 0th turn, didn't you?"
One of the golden rings went out of the loop. As faint sparks danced around him, Yu Jung-Hyeok cracked open his eyelids just a little.
Han Su-Yeong grinned and asked again. "What exactly did you remember?"
He hesitated for a long time before replying. "Kim Dok-Ja was there."
"Wha? Seriously?"
"That's why I became certain. Certain that Kim Dok-Ja was still alive as the 'Most Ancient Dream'."
"What was he doing there, anyway?"
"I can't remember everything, but...." Yu Jung-Hyeok scowled heavily and while looking at his [Dark Heavenly Demon Sword], spoke in a seething tone of voice. "I know for certain that he hit me in the back of my head."

I opened my eyes while sensing the clunking, noisy vibration of the subway train.

"I've slept enough."
I stretched my heavy-feeling limbs, and sensed the vitality return slowly to the rest of my body.

I began imagining the 'other reader' observing me from somewhere. However, it was harder than I thought. Just like how it was with the first 'Most Ancient Dream', a god could very well be a helpless, powerless creature. It could even be someone that I recognised, too.
Maybe it was one of the <Kim Dok-Ja Company>'s members?
Could it be that I existed in this place because they were imagining about me?

I shifted my gaze towards the screen displaying Yu Jung-Hyeok's 1st turn. "Maybe later. I still have lots of other world-lines to look at, after all."
It was around then that the subway's speed began decreasing gradually.

A portion of the screens was switched off, and the panoramic view of the universe was shown outside the windows, instead.

Numerous roots extending well below, stems created out of countless souls, and way above them all, branches assimilated into the night sky. The roots and branches circled around the vast distance of the universe to connect with each other, and something resembling a massive eye was in the middle – a lone eye, illuminating the universe with boiling, licking flames. The moment my gaze met that eye's, I was overcome with this inexplicable chill.

[A problem has occurred in the system!]

The subway's speed rapidly fell along with the loud clunking noise. Lights within the train flickered and died without warning, and a metallic screech reverberated within. This was almost the same as back when the first scenario was issued. Loud ringing exploded in my ears, soon followed by a bizarre machine-like grinding noise next.
Something was approaching the window of the subway.

And then, I saw a single ray of light.

At the end of that ray of light was a single blade. This light sliced past the Dark Stratum and flew straight in, seemingly splitting the entirety of the universe in the process. I clearly witnessed what that technique was.
That was 'Thrust'.
KWA-BOOOM!!
I was thrown ungainly to the floor as the explosion went off.
I reflexively awakened my Fables and hurriedly raised my head, only to discover the sword that had already broken past the train's entrance. It was a sword with a blade darker than the darkness itself. And a naked man was standing there glaring at me, his hand gripping that very sword.
"You bastard, are you the <<Big Brother>>?"

Ok this is not so much of a new idea i think. I mean like there's no way that this plot had never been used, but at least i know that this kind of plot isn't popular at all.
so if u have been reading korean novel, im pretty sure u are familiar w the term regression.
for those that dont know regression is basically time travel to the past so that the protagonist may save their loved one and corrected their choices. Usually this happen by the protagonist dying or him using an op item.
Ok, so what i want is that, when the MC got killed by his enemies and regress back to the past. He will be like your typical MC where they will try to save their loved one and things like that.
But what is different is that, After the story had progressed a bit where MC had saved quite a bit of his loved ones, MC will slowly begin to unravel a secret in which the people that he was trying to protect is actually an enemy that is going planning to betray him but had died before doing the plan on the prev life. And if you want to stretch it further, u can try to make it so that the enemy that had killed his loved one is actually trying to protect MC, but despite the enemy achieving that, MC had instead killed them for the sake of 'revenge'. And now the enemy becomes the allies, while allies become the enemies.
So instead of a story where MC is trying change everything for a better outcome. But instead the MC will try to make sure that the story will stay the way they are and are going to the same direction just like his previous life.
or another way to put it is, unlike the cliche story where MC is trying to correct his prev life mistake. The story will be abt MC trying to correct his mistake in the current life.
But ofc!
Its really up to you how u want to proceed w the story really.

Just random idea / plot that I want to write but too troublesome to do or because i dont think I can ever write it like ever, i mean im already having a trouble to write just 1 novel(its a mess rn)... So feel free to read it or even use it.
