Note: fictional, please read without comparison with your lover or ex or beloved or someone you think you know more than him or her because after all it is a mere subject of the contest.

Initially, Meng Fan had plans in the afternoon and evening of the 14th: a meet-and-greet and a CV concert. Since he got 10 points of attributes and the title of [Professional Manga Artist], he decided to crank out some comics and skipped the events.
It was hard to start drawing the first part of volume one, then, he couldn't stop.
The first part for "Legend of the Mountains and Seas" was longer than "Guide to Campus RoMANce" and "There's a Spirit Underground." In addition, all the other parts had at least 20 panels, with an average of 22 to 25 panels, meeting the daily serial criteria for Japanese manga magazines.
Naturally, he wanted to submit his manuscript in Japan, get approved, then get serialized.
It was challenging, but Meng Fan was confident in himself.
He already prepared the outline, details, characters, and scenarios. While the new attributes made Meng Fan start over, he also improved and fixed what he already did. With a draft in place, his drawing speed wouldn't be slow. 
He started on the second part at around midnight. He did 25 panels, with 3-5 pictures per panel, which totaled more than 100 pictures. It took him just three hours to draw all of them, including post-production work.
If people knew how quickly he did all of this, they'd be shocked.
Usually, comic artists who were serialized in Japan needed five days to a week to finish one part, and that's assuming they had assistants doing the post-production and other work.
Meng Fan's Hand Speed at +20 was ten times faster than an average comic artist — not including some who weren't so skilled or who drew by hand. Fast Hand Speed alone wouldn't be able to achieve all of this in three hours. Combined with supernatural Drawing Skills and Imagination, however, it was possible.
There were many advantages to having great Drawing Skills; he barely needed to fix anything, and he was much more expressive. An average artist would need a lot of room to express something, but Meng Fan just needed a few strokes.
Meng Fan's drawing was not fancier. If anything, it was simpler. But, these simple strokes were striking and touched one's soul.
OK, in spite of all this, Meng Fan still overestimated himself. It wasn't possible to draw five parts in one night.
When he finished the second part, it was already 3 a.m. Meng Fan could stay up all night easily, and he was too excited to sleep. He stood up and moved a little, then kept drawing until 6 a.m., finishing the third part.
When the third part was done, he was tired and slept for around two hours. For the fourth part, he agonized over a plot development, spending almost two hours to convince himself and fixing the content. When he was finally done, it was around 1:30 p.m.
Great!

Meng Fan ordered food, took a quick shower, then grabbed his manuscript to go downstairs. In the corner of the hotel lobby, he wolfed down some food, then asked the hotel for a car to go to Akihabara.
Akihabara, on the boundaries of the four commercial districts of Kyoto, was once a street of electronic stores. Now, it was a street popular with fans of the AGCN culture (animation, games, comics, and novels).
If the Akihabara of the electronics era was a steely, masculine guy, then the district today can only make you say, 'So pretty, like a cute boy.'
Akihabara was the purpose of Meng Fan's trip. He was a true homebody, so Akihabara, a haven for AGCN culture, was a must-see on his visit to Kyoto. He really was visiting the mecca today, he was meeting Eiichiro Oda!
When Meng Fan got off at Akihabara, he could see elements of the AGCN culture everywhere. There were many people dressed in cosplay such as waitresses in maid costumes in front of coffeeshops.
After he waited a while at the scheduled meeting place, a thirty-something man showed up. The man didn't need to look too hard; Meng Fan was very recognizable. The man knew it was Meng Fan from a distance away as he said to himself, "This guy is really tall and good looking."
"Are you Meng-san?" The man asked. After Meng Fan nodded, he introduced himself. "I'm Hiroji Wada."
His Chinese wasn't very standard, but he could communicate without problems.
This Hiroji Wada was the referrer Meng Caiju found for Meng Fan. The man was the son of a senior person at Toei Animation. In the credits of some well-known Japanese comics-turned-animated films, one could find the name of... his father.
Hiroji Wada worked in licensing rights of Japanese animations in China and collaborations with Chinese animation and games, which was how Meng Caiju could get half an hour of Eiichiro Oda's time with a phone call and have Hiroji Wada pick up Meng Fan personally.
"Meng-san, I'll take you on a tour of Mr. Oda's workshop first. Around three o'clock, he rests for half an hour. Normally, it's excellent if he can see you for ten minutes. I hope you understand."
As Hiroji Wada led Meng Fan toward their destination, he reminded Meng Fan of do's and don'ts, such as no questions about the plot of "One Piece," or any gossipy things not related to comics and more.
The Oda workshop was pretty much Eiichiro Oda's home in Kyoto. He both lived and worked here.
Meng Fan had heard of the habits of the maestro of comics, Eiichiro Oda, such as how he slept between two and five in the morning, and how he worked the rest of the day, working 16-hour days!
Of course, he didn't draw the entire time he worked, there was also plot discussions, looking for elements of scenarios, characters, and more.
A renowned comic artist, even though they have many assistants, still had a huge work volume. Also, Eiichiro Oda was a manga artist who insisted on doing a lot of the post-production work — such as the timeline — himself.
Very soon, they reached the Oda Workshop, a quiet place in a bustling area.
"Hiroji-san."
Hiroji Wada had made an appointment. As soon as they walked in, an assistant in the workshop came over to greet them. These assistants all wanted to be manga artists eventually, so they were very polite and respectful toward Hiroji Wada, someone with a connected dad in the industry, and Meng Fan was treated well by association.
Hiroji Wada had been there before, so he wasn't fascinated by everything like Meng Fan. He found a place to sit while the assistant took Meng Fan around the place.
Inside the workshop, "One Piece" elements could be seen everywhere: private bar, popcorn machine, making the place resemble a playground. There was also a claw machine filled with characters from "One Piece," none of which were available in the stores; Meng Fan was so envious.
After their tour, Meng Fan asked for the restroom and excitedly entered the "Jaws"-themed restroom.
The workroom for Eiichiro Oda and his assistants was not open to the public, so Meng Fan didn't go in there.
Then, Meng Fan met the maestro of comics, Eiichiro Oda.
The maestro looked like his photo. Like many OP fans, Meng Fan was most concerned about the man's health. There were rumors of him having health problems earlier. Now that the man looked well in person, Meng Fan was so happy.
After an emotional introduction, Meng Fan chatted with Eiichiro Oda as a fellow manga artist. He didn't rely on a translator, using just his phone to help. Since his phone was connected to a streaming device, translation was fast and communication was easy.
Initially, Eiichiro Oda thought Meng Fan was just a fan of manga rather than a colleague. The older man was happy to discuss elements of the industry and became surprised by Meng Fan's comprehension of the art form. Drawing Skills, Settings, and Scriptwriting weren't just a number; the information in each category made Meng Fan's comments outstanding. While what he said wasn't groundbreaking, Eiichiro Oda acknowledged the younger man's level of knowledge and was into the discussion. 
Meng Fan also asked some questions from his creative process and drawing experience, which Eiichiro Oda was happy to answer.
After some chatting, Eiichiro Oda then asked if Meng Fan also created comics; he took out the manuscript.
As soon as Eiichiro Oda saw the material, he looked focused and energized.
After another half-hour, Meng Fan said goodbye to Eiichiro Oda and Hiroji Wada at the workshop, leaving for Shueisha. In Meng Fan's hand was a recommendation letter from Eiichiro Oda.


To reward Meng Fan for his bravery before his heroic death, the cosmos rewarded him with a 'system', sending him back in time to three months ago, alive.

"Sir, the representative from FanQuest sent over the final schedule. There are some changes you may want to take note of."

Brandon Li looked up from his work, pausing to take note of the individual standing in front of him. His assistant was a slim man, old enough to be his father, with the most stereotypical pair of horned rim glasses he had ever seen. With the recent increase in Brandon's work and popularity it was  necessary to tolerate this man's presence almost 24/7. That didn't mean he always enjoyed it, however.

"Thank you, Daniel," he dismisses, opening his email to find the flagged correspondence. It didn't take long to read through the proposal, and his brow drew together in annoyance. They wanted him to participate in a meet and greet following one of the panels, giving fans a chance to get his autograph. To some artists, it would be no trouble, but Brandon was long past such amateur days. His 
merchandise table was run by hired staff, and he already has limited edition prints there. Why would he want to give away autographs for nothing? 

Furthermore, they wanted him to appear in another panel: 'Successful Online Comics 101'. He knew there would be hundreds of wannabe artists gathered for such an event, hoping for their chance at stardom. Brandon scoffed. He was not a role model to encourage these ducklings to dream and pursuit something so unattainable. It took years of tireless effort to reach where he was. Now they hoped he could give the basics for the conventions benefit? It was almost insulting.

"Sir, I would look at the panelist list before deciding," Daniel suggested. His assistant already sensed his bad tempter, and had lingered to control the situation. Brandon held back a retort and followed the suggestion. Skimming through the names, he noted one person: Evan Nicholas.

Ah, so there was the reason for such a fruitless panel; Brandon knew about this kid. Evan had no resume, no published works, not even a management company behind him. He had a shot at luck online and rose it to where he was today. It was all based on one comic, Twisted Tales. Brandon has long desired to squash this bug since he appeared. 

Seeing him listed for this panel gave other concern though. Because Evan was such a lucky little twit, fans would flock to here his advice, and possibly consider pursuing online comics as well. If Brandon didn't attend, who would stop that kid from putting ideas into their hearts that they too can be famous? Brandon was not keen on seeing so many undertrained artists fill the field instead of receiving the rigorous greening process of past years.

He looked over the contract details. They were willing to increase his appearance fee for the troubles, which was fair. Plus, he was doing little work for this event and reeling the benefits through their popularity. Maybe, this once, he could stoop to their level.

"Agree to the terms. It's about time I reminded people what it really takes to survive in this industry," he said, narrowing his eyes at the computer screen.

Daniel nodded, but didn't leave. Brandon politely turned back to him. "There are additional contracts in your inbox to go over. The upcoming Sakura event and the manga collaboration both responded to the counter offers. And Manager Long wishes to schedule a meeting to finalize some of the spreads for the next publication." 

"Thank you," Brandon acknowledged. "Make the necessary arrangements."

"Yes, sir."

On Brandon's screen were many documents. There were text layouts, library, color packets and notes. On his desk were additional reminders for the rest of his week. This was the world of a real artist. The small matters with the fan convention seemed so trivial to his day to day life. The demands of him job were not something just anyone could step into. He spent years studying, applying his skills and working to reach his levels. How many years did it take living off tiny paychecks and no sleep to get to where he was? He needed to remind dreamers that it took real effort to become anything in this life. 

Why should they get the easy route when others slaved for their accomplishments?

Rylee was a college student with her dreams spread out before her. She was engaged to her best friend, pursuing her passion for art, and couldn’t wait for the future. But everything came crashing down when he departed, leaving her heart and her wallet empty. 

Despite the pain of betrayal, she tried not to loose hope. Putting her plans on hold, she was forced to focus on a 9-5 work cycle, secretly wondering about the ambitions she shelved in the process. The occasional artist alley table was not enough to fulfill her longing to do what she loved, and importantly, to find REAL love.

Everything changes as she grows closer to an online friend. Late night role playing adventures turn into long conversations, and his encouragement spurs her to return to forgotten projects. Meanwhile, she meets a famous artist, who makes her want to give love another chance.

Could it be, this love story, would be hers this time?

"Why the fuck am I even competing against that girl!" I push the unrelated gadgets away on the floor and tidy my desk. All I need in front of me is a drawing tablet and my pen to make something out of the hundred black and white borders.
I stare at the screen for the seventh time, yet I cannot seem to figure out what to draw inside the panels. My hands would not stroke the lines that I wanted to do despite trying for so long. It almost feels like something is wrong with me, and I don't know why.
Not that my drawings are terrible to look at, but I have a weakness.
I cannot seem to draw anything apart from romance with the "Zombis" that I am adapting as an exclusion. There is this unseeable force that lets me continue that gore of a novel.
But for this competition, I feel an abstract wall that I cannot pass.
"Wilson, I am going out for a bit," I yell out on the door, trying to call my butler from the other side of the room.
"You can always call me Chung-hee, sir Seo-jun" He gives me a reply and gets out of the bathroom, wearing only his bathrobe with his toothbrush inside his mouth.
Wilson was the one who shaped me into what I am now. He is also there for me when I need a piece of advice and storms his way whenever I need guidance of some sort.
I firmly nod in acknowledgement and head outdoors, leaving my glasses inside my house to catch sight of my surroundings.
I go outside and take a break to observe the night sky. The moon and the stars pave the road and lead me closer to the orphanage. Even the lamp posts from the sides are giving away the luminance that the busy city needs.
But it is already midnight, and I still have done nothing for the past few hours.
"Is Himari still awake?" I ponder to myself as I get close to the steel gates. Usually, someone is guarding the door. But for tonight, nobody is here to keep me company.
"You're late, Nickson." An old lady sees me through the window and waves her hand. She tells me to wait on my exact spot for her to fetch me outside.
"A pleasant evening,"
The woman answers and gives me a yasai jelly, "Likewise." It is a jelly drink made from 100% vegetable and fruit juices, packed in a container with a straw for easy use.
"Thank you." I accept her offer and immediately open its contents, unsure of what to expect once I gulp the sticky fluid off the package.
"Are you troubled?" The lady asks with a sincere smile on her face, collecting the missing piece of my puzzling face.
"No," I hesitantly answer, with my eyes wandering off from the obsidian stellar.
The old lady taps her fingers on the bench and offers me a seat.
I perch on the bench, with the kind lady beside me who even offered me a drink a while ago. After five minutes of noiselessly staring at the street, she then finally asks me the same question, but this time, showing me her more worried face.
"What is bothering you, Nickson?"
It is the first time that I hear a stranger calling out for my name. Even though there are countless events that people admire my work in the business world, I can feel a different vibe coming off from the caretaker beside me.
It is as if she is a mother calling out for me.
"I don't know what to draw, and I can't think of a story for the contest," I voice my thoughts and peer through the noiseless room inside the building.
The lady locks her eyes at my school before cracking the tranquillity of our conversation. "Do you know why you're doing the things you do right now?"
At first, I thought it is a rhetorical question that does not need a concrete answer. But as I skim through my mind, I remember something that pierces my heart.
"I want to fan the flame of my creativity," I blurt out, whilst watching the greyish clouds fluttering above.
She turns to me and examines my face before saying, "You can always try new things. We'll never know what lies ahead if we stick inside our cage."
That is the problem that I am bearing right now.
"But you can always stick on what you are good at, even without exploring new things," She adds and looks me in the eye. "And I know you can do just that. All you got to do is try."
The lady stands up from her seat and glances at her watch. She then suggests that the night has grown old, and it is about time for us to leave.
"Thank you for your wisdom and guidance." I express my gratitude to her before leaving the orphanage, bringing the lessons I have learned throughout the talk.
She slightly bows her head, and I also lower mine before going both of our separate ways.
I stride to the familiar road while dwelling on the words of the old lady. However, no matter hard I squeeze myself, I cannot seem to arrive at an answer.
"Something that I need to do and try something new," I repeat her words, hoping that I can get the gist of the context.
And then it hit me.
My door hits me as I slide it open while greeting the living room with Wilson sleeping on the couch. He even let out a snore booming throughout the enclosed bedroom.
I quietly sneak my way through the hall and close the door behind him. As soon as I enter my room, I take off my clothes and sit on the chair for the last time.
"Try something new," I mumble to myself and start drawing the things inside my mind.
I want to do a romance about two childhood sweethearts ending up together after their graduation. It will have a cliche and classic plotline that any other story has, but I think of a way to make it more interesting.
"But how, dammit?" I scratch my head using the stylus pen, hoping that the ideas will come swimming in my brain. Even by doing fifty sets of pushups to ease my wits, I still can't decide what to sketch for my manga.

Just an added information and a side note, Nickson Park is both a manga artist and a Webtoon artist. But we will focus on Nickson Park making mangas instead of Webtoon. Both styles have their beauty in them, so please support the artists making those comics!
Webtoons and Mangas are unique works of art.
Most webtoons have colours, unlike mangas that have black and white ink on most pages. They paint only chosen illustrations with hues to promote the manga. Webtoons are in strips (arranged in interrelated panels to display brief humour or form a narrative), while mangas are in pages and read from left to right. Manga and Webtoons have different facial expressions. The art style varies from manga and Webtoon artists, creating a sense of reserve for the readers to choose from the libraries.

Manga artists prefer creating their manga traditionally rather than digitally made, and I know that. I can rarely take advantage of how digital drawing works. It is chiefly because of the black and white designs of mangas.
But I still want to do it since I am more accustomed to using my tablet than sketching it down with a pen and paper.
I first draw the panels of the story. Each of the panels represents the plot.
After setting up my panels, I draw the line art of my characters. I leave separate pages for their designs to use as my reference. The visual element of the line is the foundation of all drawings. I can use it that suggest the shape, pattern, form, depth, range of emotions, and more.
Tracing makes it a cleaner version of the manga which I always need to keep in mind.
I also need to check my tones-referring to the light and dark values to render a realistic object. Or scene. Mangas have these queer light forms around the environment. These are usually unappreciated by the reader's naked eye, but once you notice them, you'll feel amazed at how detailed the artists show it.
Cross-hatching is also a technique that I need to apply to create tonal or shading effects and add additional layers of lines.
"And for the last part are dialogues," I grumble to myself and remember the traumatising events that had happened in my life.
My readers would always comment on how dreadful and force the dialogues in my works. They always tell me that my art style is impeccable amongst famous artists on the platform.
But it has one tiniest mistake that I cannot seem to improve.
I don't know how to flirt with a girl.

"Let me colour your world with these words..."

Yuki Leigh, your average teenage girl, has a knack for writing stories. She goes to Japan, together with her best friend, Roxanne. They enrol themselves in the International Japanese School to chase their dreams. Leigh also becomes famous because of her works, making a title of her known as the Queen of Gores or The Lady in Blood. But nobody knows who exactly this “Yuki”-her pen name is since she never reveals her face in public.

Those quiet days instantly change when Yuki browses the internet and sees a manga adaptation of her light novel series under the artist name “Nick”, who she assumes is a student going to the same school, and she is right! She refuses anyone to adapt her story, given that these written texts hold something dear inside her heart.

It is the only source of happiness Yuki has when she feels alone inside her room.

Upon noticing the positive feedback of the manga, Yuki would let Nickson pass this chance only if he transfers a share of his earnings to poverty or charity. That is all Yuki wants to hear.

They sit next to each other and not uttering a single word despite being classmates inside the room. Everything is going swimmingly to the two, not until the student council elections show up. They want to claim the prize of “not attending any lecture in class” following their jobs as mangaka and author.

Yuki then meets Nickson’s relatives, who are not on good terms. She thinks that joining their affairs would make her and Nickson’s situation worse. But her emotions change when Yuki notices Nickson’s sudden shift of mood during examinations or in meetings. He is neglecting his work in the student council, grabbing the attention of the school and the two former student council officers. Eventually, she helps Nickson in her own way. Because of Yuki’s sudden interruption in his life, Nickson finally takes an interest in this light novel author. 

There are a lot of things going on as well! The three join a club, family problems, and relationship status they need to work out.

The club advisor, Benjamin Tsai, gives the author and the artist tips on creating masterpieces of their works. He also becomes their mentor when they feel stuck in a bottleneck. Benjamin is an avid fan of both Nickson and Yuki, so he knows everything about them, including their styles.

Along the way, they meet some friends and make a group together to prepare themselves for the university. If they want to pursue their passion, they need to do well for the upcoming entrance exams. Everything becomes serious and dull, considering they need to plan for their future jobs and roles. 

Yuki expresses her doubts about becoming a full-pledge light novel author, knowing that it will be a risky job for her to make money. Leigh admits she was lucky enough to win the competition before, but what will she do right now that she is losing her popularity as an author? 

This novel is a rollercoaster of happiness, sorrow, and other emotions from the characters. Every reader will unravel their stories one volume at a time, while the two, Yuki and Nickson, commit themselves as romantic couples soon. The story doesn’t need to be fast paced or slow since they will encounter problems and solve them one at a time.

I referenced the characters to the people I know. But keep in mind that I separate their lives and create fictional events on my own. I don’t have any opinions of what the character will do since the story explains everything in the present tense. All of them will have their characteristics, strengths and weaknesses.

Wilford heard a high-pitched scream from downstairs. He quickly ran down and saw a crowd. He heard gossips being thrown here and there amongst the crowd.

He quickly spotted his sibling and sped walked to them.

Willa was looking at the scene. Terrified from what she saw, she shut her eyes tight and sat there like a statue.

Wilard looked at the scene and felt his body go cold, but felt something warm from behind him as someone covered his eyes. 

Wilford quickly covered his siblings' eyes, and he looked at the scene in front of him. A bloody mess. 

Chase's body seemed to have been stabbed in the heart and parts of him almost tore off from the main body. It was lying flat from the fall.

Without wasting time, he quickly pulled them away from the crowd, and walked back to the building. In front, he saw nurses and doctors ushing out to the scene.
 
Once inside, he quickly pulled them to a corner and released his hands from their faces.

He started to explain to them about their relatives' death based on what he heard.

Willa's eyes widened, but Willard showed no reaction. 

He was about to explain to them about their parents death, when he heard another system message.

He looked at his siblings' innocent faces, but saw nothing. He then continued to explain how their parents died. 

Surprisingly, they didn't seem to care about it too much.

He was about to say something else, when he found himself drowning again.

The faint light became brighter, but then it turned into a bright red light.

He saw his past figure, holding a girl. The girl's chest has a hole in the middle with blood spilling out. 

Wilford saw another guy that was unconscious, lying not too far, with his head in a large pool of blood. 

His past self's head was hanging low, tears were falling on the girl's body uncontrollably, his fist covered in blood. 

At that very moment, his vision turned dark and he saw another scene unfold in front of his eyes.

This time, he saw a boy being thrown off a roof that looks awfully familiar. His past life tried to catch him from the ground floor, but another figure punched his face, making his past self unable to catch the falling boy.

The boy died instantly when his body came in contact with the concrete ground.

"Aghh!!" His past life screamed in agony, as he punched the enemy head back. and quickly ran back to the stairs. 

Wilford can't control his movements, and he reappeared back at the same place he was before. seeing the boy laying flat on the ground with a pool of blood, he than saw his past life running towards the boy

"I failed to protect... I failed as a Detective, and I failed at being a good brother…"

Two panels appeared in front of him, as he moved the panels away to the side and looked at his past life figure.

He saw his past figure having neatly combed brown hair, as he wore a yellow t-shirt and jeans. 

His vision ended and he got transported back into reality. 

He faced his current siblings. 

He now knows why they didn't feel attached to their parents, judging from the panels he saw in his dream. 

He sighed inwardly, feeling a sense of guilt from his past life.

He softly muttered, "I am sorry for being a bad big brother. Will you forgive me?"

Both of them seemed surprised, but then tears also filled their eyes as they nodded their head.

"Of course!" Willa said, as she jumped up and hugged him.

"You're the best big bro!" Wilard also joined in the hug. Wilford's vision gradually became blurry.

Even though the system said that, he just couldn't feel the weight of guilt lift off his shoulders. 

After a few moments, they broke off the hug. 

They didn't speak as the two just followed Willford.

Willford searched up on how to go back home as this was the first time he had been to the city.

They had to take a train back home, which would at least take about 1 hour and 30 minutes without stopping. 

"Come on, let's go home."

Sadly, the train is always busy.

When they finally found seats on the train, Wilford checked what kind of notifications he got from the system.

The first few notifications was about him gaining more points in Stamina, Agility and Strength.

His skill, carry, has reached level 15. 

Then a certain notification caught his eye.

He quickly took out his phone, pretending to search for something on the internet as he was still not used to controlling the system with only his mind.

He shifted the system screen on his phone, and searched up the title mentioned.

He felt annoyed by this message. Trying his very best not to shout at the system out loud for this. 

Taking a deep breath, he decided to read the system's book for his daily quest. 

He slowly read many comics, making him take his mind off things.

He awoke his memories, yet he can't contact any of his teammates. 

A smiths that helped her teammates to craft all their equipment was left alone. She didn't want to pull them down more, leaving something that will only let them remember her when they grow strong enough.

She could only hope for them, to grow stronger.



Yet, all of them only wished for one thing. 

They wanted peace.

The potty mouth you just witnessed is none other than Social Media's infamous critic of pop culture P0P $yn1cal. But for those who know his true identity, Jacob Asabe. His fairly large for his age, mostly because of his intense weight training, but being 6 feet and 3 inches does add to it... and his faux hawk fade coupled with his caramel skin does make him quite the fetching fellow.
The brunt of Jacob's most famous insults and childhood friend, Sora Kirei... She's on the phone with Jacob, so her appearance will be addressed much more later as Jacob is trying to find the latest issue of his comic: The Salvager. The comic follows a masked woman who goes on killing spree hunting down the man who killed her five kids, with the assistance of the spirit of the killer's son and nephew.
As well as an over-rated horror shoujo called Bite Of Love. Sora did ask for that.
"I really don't know how the hell you enjoy that convoluted bullshit," Jacob spat, ignorant of the children around.
"You fucking hypocrite!" Sora shot back through the phone, "Wonder Entertainment has more Salvager games than graphic novels and they're not even fully connected! Instead they're telling the story from a 'different vantage point'! Puh-lease!"
"So you're saying that the love interest knowing that he was a fictional character the entire time is apparently NOT the most retarded shit as well as a waste of everyone's time?"
"The signs were there!"
"No...no, there fucking wasn't "
Jacob's attention diverted when a customer he did not expect came through the door. The comic store was Jacob's spot, he knows all the employees personally and can accurately guess the kind of costumer that comes. But the customer that came in, was someone Jacob wouldn't even dream of coming...
She had long flowing platinum blonde hair that reflect the sun-rays through the window, had eyes that could replace jade crystals, a super clear skin and had a figure that was out of this world. Jacob knew this dream boat pretty well. This was Jessica Lunar, the classmate that he has been crushing on since elementary.
"Es, imma have to call you back, shit's about to go down" Jacob announce before immediately hanging up and waving his hand so he can grab Jessica's attention, "Yo! Lunar! Is that really you?!"
Jessica turned to see Jacob and showed a pleasant and cheery smile when realising who called her. "Oh my GOD! Asabe, how are you?!"Jessica greeted as hurried to Jacob so she can hug him, much to his surprise, "I didn't know you like comics!"
"Says you! I would never guess that you would even breath around this place...you,uh... buying something for your brother?"
"Nope! I'm buying a few comics for myself. The.... Savager is my favourite!"
"Savager?"
"Salvager is what I meant, sorry"
Jacob's heart skipped a beat.
Seriously? The most popular girl in school? The girl who looks like she has better time just existing than literally anything pop culture related actually likes comics? And her favourite comic is Jacob's favourite comic? The Salvager? The comic that gets the most flack because it includes child murder and over-sexualising a literal sex offender?
Is this God's way of telling him this was destiny? Because it was pretty glaring...
"You actually like The Salvager?," Jacob asked, refusing to accept this...
"I sure do!" Jessica replied, shocking him eternally, "I would have a problem with the design for Salvager herself since it's a little too sexy to be considered practical... but I already made my cosplay, so I rather not complaining"
"That's fair... especially if the general character design takes inspiration from ecchi manga," Jacob scratched the back of his head as he said this, hoping Jessica doesn't see him as a sleaze from association with the lustful side of manga
"Now that you mention manga, you wanna try joining the weekly club at school? Sora has been telling me she's been pestering you about"
Jacob took a double take...
"Why.... would she be talking to you about that?"
"Should she not? I am the club president after all!"

The club leader isn't the stereotypical giant belly virgin who probably haven't seen his own penis for a year? Instead it's THE Jessica fucking Lunar? A girl so hot that she could make millions by taking a single photo of her feet and selling it?

But then again... this is Jessica fucking Lunar asking him this question. Not Sora, who in her bountiful wisdom decided NOT to tell her heterosexual and single male friend that the hottest school is on a first name basis with her each other. Not his smothering older sister, Jillian, who... to be fair is the only trust-worthy blood relative he has left after running away from their mother. This. Is. Jessica. Fucking. Lunar. It was the next day, lunch at the High-School of Excellence and Jacob just revealed to his busty, baby blue haired and blue eyed friend, Sora exactly why he decided to reconsider joining the fabled manga club.
She was not pleased with the reason...
"You have a crush on Jessica too, Es," Jacob revealed, "I don't know why you're jealous,"
"I'm a woman, Jay!" Sora snapped back, "You can't be called a gentleman if you open a door for one girl but slam it in the face of another! And even then, bros before hoes"
"But what if the bro is also a ho?"
"Shit, you right,"
Jacob and Sora shared the kind of laughter only they can have. Jacob was lucky, it's hard to find a friend who at the very least tolerates the level of rudeness he has. While it's something he has been working on, he still has a long away to go.
"Either way, if it really hurts that much, I'm sorry," Jacob apologised, much to Sora's surprise, "I should have at least talked to you about it when Jessica asked, even if she did end up becoming the reason,"
Sora tried to hide her blush as she force feed Jacob a piece of sushi... only for her to sigh, "You know what? It's fine," she admitted,  "End of the day, it kinda sucked when the only person I knew was someone I crushed on since pre-school,"
Jacob scratched the back of his head in confusion, as Sora cleaned the rice from the sushi still on mouth with tissue, "You were bi since pre-school?" he asked
"Only found out recently thanks to my therapist," Sora admitted, "It would explain why I begged mom to do my make up only on the days Miss. Rosemary was teaching classes
"Even with the leg, Miss. Rosemary was VERY attractive,"
"She was hot as fuck dude..."

Lessons were finished, but school was not over... and as of now, Jacob has been showing signs of second thoughts. Because the last thing Jacob took even the slightest interest into something years ago, and what it did to him.
"Jay... none of the other club members will bite you," Sora reassured, "You'll be fine,"
"Yeah, yeah, I know" Jacob brushed off, "But can you blame me?"
"Bro, at worst I'm the chick with the crappy dad...and to give him some credit, he's pretty much loaded and it's not like my mom's dead either...N-no offence,"
"A... little taken,"
"Sorry... but you get what I mean right? I'll be fine... especially if you're fine too"
"Yeah... alright, but if a 8-year old looking ass bitch offers me cupcakes in a passive-aggressive manner, I will slide you in the mouth"
"Okay, Chris Breezy..."
"Fuck off..."

The moment, Jacob stepped into the room, he was greeted by a small and chubby student with curly green hair practically shoved a cookies to his face as she delightfully screamed "WELCOME TO THE MANGA CLUB, JACOB!"
Jacob snapped his head to Sora's direction with a stern gaze, making her flinch... only for him to end up flicking her in the forehead. "You're lucky I like these more than cupcakes, Es," he said, he turned back to the student before looking at the cookies and felt... concerned. The cookies did not look normal cookies, under the blanket of sprinkles was a rainbow swirl cookie, which made Jacob very uncomfortable...
"They're not poison, go ahead!" the student egged him on, going as fair as taking one herself and give to Jacob personally, who eventually did took a bite of the given cookie. To his surprise... they're not that bad
"Not as sweet as I thought it be," Jacob reviewed as he took the rest of the cookie, "But I'll avoid any chance to get diabetes and just take one for now... what's your name?"
"Oh! My name is Caroline Colin!" the student revealed as she offered her hand, "But everyone calls me Cookie! It's very nice to meet you!"
Jacob scratched the bottom of his chin as he shook her hand, "How does her nickname make more sense than her real name?" He thought to himself, only for him to distracted by a masked girl in a black hoodie reading a comic, the shadow of the hoodie hid the majority of the details with the exception of her white bangs obscuring her pale blue eyes.
"That's Lola Prince," Sora told Jacob, noticing a familiar distraction, "we call her Ice sometimes,"
"Because of her hair and cold nature towards people?"
"Actually... it's because she likes ice cream a lot! But do be patient with her though, certain events nearly made her mute, worse than yours if you ask me,"
Jacob rubbed his chin as took a chair and sat next to Ice, who gave a quick glance before going back to her comic. Jacob noticed that the comic she was reading was a manga. But this wasn't any normal manga, the characters had more detail than most of the western comics Jacob's either read and/or critique, the backgrounds in the panels looked hand-drawn instead of copy and pasted when panels where such a technique is probably even recommended. Jacob immediately knew what kind of comic reader this one was and the author of the manga she was reading.
"The Knight's Struggle by David Goryu," Jacob revealed to himself and Ice, "The story is a drag and the climax of the first arc was pretty bad but the art bringing me back... 6/10, hard to hate, hard to love,"
In surprise, Ice put her hood down, unconsciously exposing her facial scars to Jacob, who showed a face of concern, mostly to her surprised.
"P0P $yn1cal!" Ice revealed in cracked and hushed voice, causing Jacob to realise he just said the exact thing he said about The Knight's Struggle on a online video... with twenty thousands clicks. Ice immediately took Jacob's hand and shook it more intensely than the clearly more excitable Cookie did.
"I'm a really big fan! Started watching four years ago," Ice kept shaking Jacob's hand as she continued much to Sora's and Cookie's pleasant surprise, "Your comedy really helped me out when my dad would finish--"
Ice immediately stopped herself from talking when she mentioned her dad... almost immediately dismissing Jacob when removing her hand from his. Jacob shrugged and patted on the back before turning his attention back to Sora, who put her hands together and mouthed "sorry" on Ice's behalf, only for her to then squeal when Jessica came through the clubroom door.
"Sorry, I'm late guys!" Jessica apologised, "Still in the cheer-leading team, so you know"
Jacob looked at the clock on his phone with a confused expression, "It's still 3:45..."
Jessica scratched the back of her head, "I-I mean... I'm later than you guys aren't I?"
"Fair enough... so how do we do these discussions?"
"Discussions?"
"Yeah... Sora says you usually bring up topics regrading manga/anime and moderate the aftermath... you use a presentation, right?"
"How do you know?"
"Sora told me"
Sora blinked in both surprise, "I did?" she asked
Jacob exhaled heavily at Sora's confusion, "You don't remember telling me yesterday?"
"Huh...Well, you know I can be forgetful... and that heart attack grill did mess my vibe up,"
"Did it hurt that bad? Shit, I'm sorry,"
Sora's face bright pink "Yo, your character devolpment is too much quick, man, chill..."

It turned out, Jessica forgot the presentation she was working on, but gladly Jacob prepared by making a presentation for one of his favourite manga anti-villain, The Protector of Camp.The presentation included notes that he felt like he needed discussion, including power creep, where his rise and fall began, if his mother's death is a twist on the dead parent trope or not and if the reboot did anything to affect his street creed as a horror manga character.
When club was finished, Jacob exchanged numbers with Cookie and Ice, before asking Sora to wait outside the school for him, since he needed to pee and the only available male toilet was the one on the top floor... and the elevator was out of order.
"Either the school needs to get their shit together, or God should of given me better bladder," Jacob mumbled to himself when he finished whizzing in the urinal. When he came out of the bathroom, he was presented to a stern faced Jessica.
"Explain. NOW," She ordered
Jacob blinked twice, "The FitnessGram Pacer Test--"
"Don't play dumb, dickwad! At first, I thought you just had the stereotypical mindset with that brother comment, but now I know you're hiding something! You have the exact presentation of next week's character, brought up all the points that I would have on that day AND you had no reaction to me being a cheerleader!"
"I mean... we live in a society where the word queer is no longer a homophobic term even in a offensive context, being a cheerleader isn't really--"
"WILL YOU---!"
Jessica stopped herself from losing her cool in front of bystanders, taking small and fast deep breaths before continuing you, "There's something you're hiding and I want to know!"
The silence was deafening...
The intense and brutal stare from THE Jessica fucking Lunar put Jacob on the highest of alerts and the deepest of trances. It was already concerning enough that Jessica's eyes could melt the hearts of the strongest men when she's in a good mood, this version of Jessica is angry... 
Matter of fact...
She was fuming!
Jacob was surprised that his very soul, the manifested representation of his existence as a human being, is not being consumed by an inferno only rivalled to the flames of the deepest pits of the bleakest corners of hell, the ever-so torturous realm where the sinful rest and the opposite of the oh-so holy-- 
You know what? Fuck this shit...
It's Jessica fucking Lunar, dude
Tired of holding it in, I laugh at Jessica's dumb bitch face, who went from being an salty bitch to a confused bitch as I slowly but surely stopped laughing... only to laugh a bit more because Jessica has a dumb bitch face.
"Aw, man," I rub of the tear rolling down my beautiful caramel coloured cheeks for laughing too hard at Jessica's dumb bitch face, "I'm surprised you still haven't figured out that I know that is a game and that your not the true boss!"
"How... do you know that?"Jessica asked face contorted to face of pure fear, realising that she just got real.

Inspired by the indie darlings with Doki Doki Literature Club and the haunted souls with Five Nights Of Freddy's, comes a story that follows pop culture nerd, Jacob Asabe as he is "forcefully" invited to the Manga Club of his School. But it is quickly realised Club President, Jessica Lunar knows that Jacob is hiding a secret... a secret that only she knows...

She is the Club President after all...

She did not know why she was getting so anxious. After a while, Ning Meng switched to her "Comic Artist Lemon" account to send a message: [Hello.]

Ning Meng wanted to ask her something, but the overwhelming anxiety that she was feeling had petrified her fingers. All she could do was stare at the chat interface. 
She kept staring and staring... it felt as though an eternity had passed before NingMeng521 logged off.
Pulling herself together, Ning Meng went to read NingMeng521's Weibo page. This seemed to be a Weibo account that she used to market her comics.
NingMeng521: [Young Huo's Wild Girl is now updated. Hope you have fun reading it~]
Seeing this, Ning Meng quickly switched to the comic app. Sure enough, there was a notification about a new update on the comic.
Without further hesitation, Ning Meng tapped into the comic.

Chapter 1: Encounter
The comic was drawn from the perspective of the male lead—Huo Bei. 
Carrying his school bag, Huo Bei walked into the school confidently. There was a group of students surrounding him, cheering with various kinds of weird, exaggerated noises.
Ignoring them, Huo Bei kept on walking. Upon reaching his desk, Huo Bei lowered his head to look at it with hollow, emotionless eyes. Sitting down, he buried his face into the desk to take a nap.
No one in the classroom dared to disturb this school bully's sleep.
Meanwhile, not far from the school gate...
A girl clad in her high school uniform was climbing over the fence agilely. 
However, she was not entirely successful in her attempt, falling and landing on her butt. When she stood up, the girl realized that she had sprained her ankle from the fall.
Nonetheless, she still kept on walking, limping straight to the classrooms. Along the way, she stopped a student and asked, "Hi, friend. Do you know where Huo Bei is at this time?"
Upon hearing the name "Huo Bei", the student got terrified and fled away.
The girl mumbled to herself, "Geez, the students here aren't friendly at all!"
Then, she started to poke around in the school.
Two panels later, she was finally able to find Huo Bei's classroom. 
Standing outside the classroom, the girl bawled out loudly, "Huo Bei, come out at once!!"
The classroom went silent in an instant. 
Everyone turned their heads to look at the boy who was napping.
Upset that his nap had been disturbed, the boy raised his head and glared at his visitor.
A student from the classroom asked, "Who are you?"
The girl smiled. "I'm his girlfriend!"
"Whoa!!"
An uproar exploded in the classroom!
Huo Bei stood up and walked out of his classroom.
Satisfied, the girl pulled up a smug face at him. "Huo Bei, you can never escape me~! I have been in love with you for many years. Plus, I am the only one who understands you the most!"
Huo Bei scratched his head furiously. "You're such a drag!"
The girl raised her head to make faces at him. "Not a drag~ Not a drag~"
Furrowing his brows, Huo Bei threatened her, "If you open your mouth again, I'll beat you."
After saying this, Huo Bei headed back into the classroom to continue his nap.
A classmate then asked him, "Huo Bei, is that really your girlfriend?"
Huo Bei barked out, "No, she's not!!"
Scratching his head again, Huo Bei closed his eyes and said, "She's just a scammer!"
His classmates turned their heads toward the girl who was standing outside of the classroom again. 
Having noticed their stares, the girl beamed up a smile.
"Good day, everyone! My name is Ning Meng! From today onward, I'm officially Huo Bei's girlfriend. Nice to meet you~!"

Ning Meng's mouth was twitching as she read the chapter.
Just what kind of stupid story was this? The whole plot felt so illogical and comical.
She had so many questions after reading this chapter.
Like, just what kind of background did the girl have? Why did NingMeng521 not pen it down? 
And how did the girl and Huo Bei meet? She said that she had been in love with him for many years. So... that meant that he was her childhood friend? Or perhaps, their families were friends for generations?


All Ning Meng did was criticize the novel that she had read. When she woke up the next morning, she realized that she had entered the novel that she had read the previous night and became the unfaithful female supporting character. And soon, she would divorce her powerful husband and lead a miserable life. To prevent that from happening, Ning Meng has to find ways to stay by his side. That would mean she would make a lot of enemies along the way. Time for her to use the knowledge from the real world to turn her life around and not let others take advantage of her. 

Oh god. This isn't true. He's alive, he has to be.
Everything turned red. The pain in my abdomen, my arms, my legs, my neck fad every single atom of my body stops screaming at me to rest and stop. Stopped. The screams and cries of my peers falling into the background, only two things play in my mind. Chanting. Encouraging. Pushing. 
Revenge. Kill.
Charging towards the oversized beast I reach out my nail guards to ruin the overly perfect face but I miss. It dodges at the last moment. Taking advantage of my already frightening speed and height I change my momentum swinging my leg around in a full 360 I manage to deliver a flying spin kick into its neck causing it to snap to the side. Seeing that I was about to land on one of the tables I change my body position in the air and manage to land safely onto the table before hopping off and onto the ground. Still infuriated I bolt behind it and shot two arrows into the back of the knees. 
With every move, turn, puncture and hit my vision got darker. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't bleeding or hurting. But this pain is the worst yet.
Its steps were surprisingly light and quick, quicker than the others at least. The movements graceful and fierce at the same time. Reminded me of those Chinese movies where there is a really old person but he's still the best fighter anyway.
Somehow the hulking whatever it is had retrieved a sword from somewhere. The sword grew bigger and bigger in its hand until it was at least twice my height it fits perfectly in the giant's fingers. The sword came swinging at me, I felt it graze my thigh. Hissing out my vision is so dark now that it is now a dark crimson red, so close to black. Ignoring the pain I jump up and push off a table with my feet and land squarely on its shoulders each of my legs on one side of its neck. 
It drops the sword and instead reaches up towards me, once they get close enough I paralyze its wrists and stab my nail guards into the crease in its elbow. Shocked at its own lifeless arms it starts flailing its body trying to throw me off. 
I sense myself lose hope as I plummet constantly trying to grab something, anything. My shrieks echoing everywhere. And finally, I manage to dig my nail guards into the rib cage of the beast its howls echoing throughout the ceremony hall. 
I should have known that my safety wouldn't last forever, once again I am plummeting to my death. My arms shot out once again at the same time pink dots enter my vision. That's odd, is this like one of those panels in comic books when a character realizes someones pretty? It's cool in the comics but real life? Disgusting.
"YAO RUI"

"HELP! SOMEONE! please."
"You did it. You killed it. Your first kill. Congratulations."
I feel myself becoming lighter and lighter, the cold, hard, bloody floor's touch disappears underneath me. I felt as if I were nubivagant, floating among clouds, strong arms already wrapped around me, it made me nepenthe, it made me forgot my pain and suffering. My vision slowly fades back down to its normal form, red no longer envelopes my vision, it's now clear though still a bit blurry. Seeing the face that brought me my peace, my happiness, my habromania delusions of happiness. I smile and him to have a good, long and fulfilling life.
Then my smile falters remembering what brought me into this state. His life was only filipendulous, only hanging by a thread. Please let him live. They need him.

"Rui-er ah. Do wake soon. Don't stress your sister like this if you do the baby may not be healthy, mom is sick and she barely eats, dad is never home anymore. Your friends and brother are already on the island they are waiting for you lead them. Your sisters they're depressed now, I'm scared. They might be suicidal." Xie Fan Long's voice drifted off, her face seemed to have aged by decades, her eyes soften at the thought of the little ones, they're only 10 and their experiencing things like this, they're past childhood didn't help their depression either.
"Your brother is alive though, I know because they put hidden cameras everywhere on the island." She attempted a smile but failed miserably. "We love you, all of us, and now it's your turn. Wake up, please, if you don't wake soon they're planning to send one of your sisters out instead. They don't anything about living alone, but you do, you know how to survive. Please keep fighting and wake soon."
Xie Fan Long stood up out of her seat her hands quaking struggling to hide the tears that have been held in for so long. Stepping in the direction of the door she prepared herself to once more face the cameras lined outside of the hospital hoping for some news on the candidate.
"Please wak- SOMEBODY PLEASE COME HERE SOMETHING HAPPENED!"

A nearby river trickled.

"You'll come back, right?"

"Of course, how else am I supposed to make you my bride?"

"I'll miss you, come back soon okay?"

The boy turned his head, allowing her to see his face in full.

"Okay,"

"Promise?"

"Promise,"

She felt herself smile.

"Xiao Rui,"

"Yes,"

"Don't forget to stay away from other boys,"

"I won't forget,"

She giggled.

"You better not, I don't want my bride to be stolen,"

"Don't worry, I won't let anyone steal me,"

"You better not, and don't forget me,"

"I would never forget you,
