What Makes Varanasi Holy? 

 

To the Hindus, the Ganges is a sacred river, and any town or city on its bank is believed to be auspicious. But Varanasi has a special sanctity for legend has it that this is where Lord Shiva and his consort Parvathi stood when time started ticking for the first time. 

The place also has an intimate connection with a host of legendary figures and mythical characters, who are said to have actually lived here. Varanasi has found a place in the Buddhist scriptures, as well as the great Hindu epic of Mahabharata. The holy epic poem Shri Ramcharitmanas by Goswami Tulsidas was also written here. All this makes Varanasi a significantly holy place. 

 

Varanasi is a veritable paradise for the pilgrims who throng the Ghats of the Ganges for spiritual reward—deliverance from sin and attainment of nirvana. The Hindus believe that to die here on the banks of the Ganges is an assurance of heavenly bliss and emancipation from the eternal cycle of birth and death. So, many Hindus travel to Varanasi at the twilight hour of their life. 

 

The City of Temples: 

 

Varanasi is also famous for its antique temples. The renowned Kashi Vishwanath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva has a lingam—the phallic icon of Shiva—that goes back to the time of the great epics. Skanda Purana by Kasikanda mentions this temple of Varanasi as Shiva's abode, and it has withstood the onslaught of various invasions by Muslim rulers. 

In addition the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, there are other famous temples in Varanasi. 

 

The 8th century Durga Temple, situated on the RamnagarPandav road, is home to hundreds of monkeys that reside in the nearby trees. 

 

Another popular temple is the Sankatmochan Temple, dedicated to the simian-god Hanuman. 

 

Varanasi's Bharat Mata Temple is probably the only temple in India that is dedicated to the 'Mother India.' Inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1936, it has a big relief map of India carved in marble. 

 

Another relatively new temple is the Tulsi Manas Temple built in honour of Lord Rama in 1964 at the place where Tulsidas composed the Ramacharitmanas, the vernacular version of the epic of Ramayana The walls of this temple adorn the scenes and verses depicting the exploits of Lord Rama. 

 

Kasyammaranammukti (death in Kashi is Liberation of souls), thus goes the much proclaimed proverb in Sanskrit. Death in Kashi or Varanasi is a blessing for a devout. The Ghats in Varanasi symbolically represents the five diverse elements or PanchaTattwa that constitute the human body. The Ghats in Varanasi are the doorsteps of heaven by visiting these Ghats. Showing the divine cosmic roads, the Ghats in Varanasi India have been constructed in transcendental dimension measuring 12th Zodiacs x cakras of body thus 98. 

 

Varanasi or Kashi is also called the Abode of Lord Shiva. According to the Hindu Mythology, the first ray of light after the creation of this Universe fell at Kashi, thus sanctifying the land. The Ghats in Varanasi Uttar Pradesh are the perfect spots where divinity can be sighted face to face. 

 

As thousands of Sadhus along the Ghats raise their sacred vessels or Kailash, to offer prayers to the newly risen sun, the foremost spark of the morning sun also seem to pour his blessings for the entire humanity. The Ghats are the Centers of a whole lot of religious activities. Pilgrims gather in large numbers to take a dip in the sacred river, offer their prayers and seek the blessings of the sadhus and sanyasis. 

 

The River Ganga flows beside the Ghats and it is from the middle of the Ganga that one can get the best view of the Ghats while enjoying boat rides. Thus stands the Ghats in Varanasi, older than traditions and impressive beyond imagination, inspiring humanity down the ages. 

 

Dismantling of dilapidated bungalow at Graveyard. 

 

In due course of time, the old building owners wanted to dismantle their building which was adjacent to this grave yard, as they wanted to construct new building. On one fine day, they dismantled the old building. The building was razed to the ground. The ghosts and devils which stayed in this old building shifted their base to an unknown place. From then onwards, there was no ghosts and devils used to attempt the dead bodies alive, in spite of the scientist and the Doctor making effort for the “alive dead bodies”. 

 

Local people were happy to note about the disappearance of the ghosts and devils from this grave yard. 

 

In due course some years, due to the cities developmental activities, this grave yard was shifted to another faraway place. Many new buildings have come in this old grave yard place. Many people have purchased the land in this grave yard and constructed their own houses in this grave yard in view of this area became very costly and Center to the heart of the city. 

 

Finally, there seems to be no ghosts or devils in any grave yard in the city, as observed by many people.

STORY-LINE SYNOPSIS
(WAR Paranormal Urban Fiction and Paranormal Day)

PART- I

An evil “King Kong Raj” who rules in a Planet called “King Kong Raj Planet”. He troubles and tortures all the people in his Planet and robs all their gold, jewelry and diamonds. People of that Planet fed-up with his rule.  This evil King has his own army who frequently robs and tortures people to gain an upper hand for this evil King. This evil King had some super-natural powers and  also maya, mantra, tantra by virtue of his staunch Prayers to Sun God. He even creates a big evil appearing thing, called “BING THING”, which cannot be killed or destroyed by anybody until the evil King Kong Raj gets killed. Maharshis and Rushis of this Planet also were tortured with cruelty. This Kings hefty soldiers and army rapes women, enjoys, robs and even destroys their properties. The battle is through Sword Fights, Dagger Fights, Arrow Fights and Fights with Maya (Illusion) and with the BING THING too.

An opponent group leader “The True Hero”, by name Vishal always tries to defend people and fights against this evil King Kong Raj many times, but in vain.  The Hero has the full support of the Maharshis and Rushis in this Planet and also Queen’s Angels
Angels of the nearby Planet called “Queens Planet”, and the Sun God also support “The True Hero Vishal”, who is a staunch supporter of the Sun God and Maharshis and Rushis. Vishal gets the blessings of all the people of the planet, Maharshis, Rushis, Queen’s Angels and the Sun God. 

In the long “save our souls” battle at the evil King’s Planet, the evil King Kong Raj ultimately gets defeated and dies. The True Hero Vishal also gets severely injured and dies. Vishal takes rebirth at the Earth as per the blessings of all the Maharshis, Rushis, Queen’s Angels and the Sun God. The True Hero Vishal becomes a Doctor.

PART II
Vishals takes birth again on Earth. The story of Vishal starts from his childhood and he becomes Physician and a Doctor in a family.

As one of the Heroes of the Azuma Empire, Mihara Hideaki had worked very hard to gain his position. Although he was blessed by an Epic Skill, outstanding Skills, and talent, he needed to work hard to polish such abilities.
However, a Hero is not only a Hero because they are recognized as one by the System, but they need to also be considered a Hero to their Empire or Kingdom. A figure who people admire and look up to.
Mihara, before awakening his Heroic Epic, was a musician and an avid writer. He wasn't a warrior, neither served his nation with his strength. He was someone who loved literature and arts and used his knowledge of it to bring happiness and entertainment to people.
At the young age of 26, Mihara Hideaki became a renowned Poet and Musician, his love poems got through all of the ladies of the Azuma Empire, and his beautiful and soothing songs became popular nation-wide. No one in the Azuma Empire wouldn't know about his songs.
With his songs and poems, he managed to inspire people, to increase their morale, and that to see life's brighter side. Even the Empress of the Azuma Empire, Sugita Masami, recognized the man's talent and efforts, and after realizing that it was thanks to his arts that her population was always positive and not so pessimistic, she gave him the title of Noble.
At the age of 29, as Mihara wrote a new poem, strange powers surged from his words, which enhanced the abilities of his beloved family. Not only each of his words, poems, and songs were inspiring, but they also increased the people's statistics, increasing their physical strength, magic capabilities, and even speed and endurance.
Not long after, Mihara Hideaki awakened as the [Hero of Brilliant Poems] and gained the ability to recite and sing beautiful incantations that could turn the tables in the most terrible of wars. His poems and songs increased the power of thousands of soldiers, and with his help, any skirmish or war that the Azuma Empire went through would result in either a victory or a tie.
Because of his age, he was one of the oldest Heroes in the Azuma Empire and became the teacher for the new ones. His status as a renowned Poet and Singer remained, and coupled with the admiration of the entire population, he held an incredible influence in everyone.
Thankfully for the worrisome Empress, Mihara Hideaki is a pure-hearted man, raised by a loving mother and a hard-working father. She knew that he would never use his influence to turn against the Empire or anything like that. This only increased the ties between him and the nobles, and he became someone who everyone relied on.
After the [Heroine of Sakura Storms], Sakura Miwa, and the [Heroine of Alchemy] Izumi Yuko, awakened their Heroic Epic Skills, he became their beloved mentor, alongside the [Hero of One Hundred Slices] Yoshinaga Hiroshi, an old veteran Warlord, the first Hero to have awakened since three hundred years inside the Azuma Empire, they taught the two young ladies fighting techniques, magic spells, and to develop their unique abilities and arts.
And now, Mihara, as one with the power to turn the tables in any battle, was constantly being called for small skirmishes against the Thanatos Kingdom, which happened more frequently.
Although he would never refuse the call for help from his beloved people, he grew worried. These small skirmishes, which only seemed to get worse each week, had never stopped for the last five years.
The Thanatos Kingdom was being too aggressive, overly aggressive.
"A Nation with so many citizens shouldn't be this bloodthirsty," He thought.
Indeed, the Thanatos Kingdom population was immense, being of over five hundred thousand citizens. An amazing number of people in such a harsh world like Genesis. Unlike in Earth, Genesis is a world filled with dangers and powerful monsters everywhere, people gathering in such big quantities was unlikely, unless the nation itself held amazing and powerful individuals to take care of it.
Mihara rationality couldn't comprehend why such a big nation desired to conquer another big nation, instead of risking a big war where resources would be lost endlessly, it would be better to form alliances and negotiate, making both nations held each other in harsh times.
Mihara was a pacifist, and he didn't believe in that war was the only solution to conflicts or lack of resources in a Kingdom.
"There must be other ways… But, how can we convince a Kingdom filled with Demons, whose entire teaching since childhood is to desire strength and raise in power? Their entire beliefs are behind war, bloodshot, and destruction… They only believe that beating the weak is the only way to appease their population hunger" Thought Mihara.
One day, as Mihara was pondering such thoughts, Izumi Yuko, the [Heroine of Alchemy] and Sakura Miwa, the [Heroine of Sakura Storms] were enjoying tea time with him. Mihara was already on his thirties, but he was still single despite his handsomeness, charm, and status.
It wasn't weird for two young ladies to be in love with such a man, even if they were Heroes. Izumi and Sakura were taught by him and Yoshinaga. But of course, Yoshinaga was an old man on his fifties, and already had a family and even grandchildren, the young girls would never see him romantically, only leading their attention to the young and handsome Mihara.
Of course, they were not interested in his status and abilities, they were interested in his character as a person, his life, his hardships, and what made him such an admirable person. They were truly in love with him…
Mihara did know this but was oblivious, he did not desire to fall in love. He was a man that enjoyed being by himself, he said once that his loneliness was what inspired him so much to create such poems and songs.
However, Mihara saw the two young Heroines as his little sisters and loved them very much, in a familiar way. He cared for their safety, and how well they felt. He had grown accustomed to their company. And also slowly learned how they behaved, seeing the growth since they were little girls, it was really as if he were his big brother.
As the two girls tried to cheer him up due to his worried expression, Mihara laughed and then sipped some tea, while eating some small, roasted seeds.
Mihara dedicated himself to enjoy the day and move such negative thoughts for another time. But because of this, he realized something that his future self would have wanted to never know.
Izumi Yuko, the [Heroine of Alchemy], seemed odd…
She was always a cheerful girl that was in love for alchemy and constantly talked about such things, about mixing ingredients, monster materials, creating new potions and bombs, etc.
And in fact, she was just talking about such things right in that very moment. But… something seemed off.
It wasn't her appearance, her attitude, her tone of voice… even Mihara couldn't tell what was that seemed off from Izumi, he had known her for so long, it was almost an instinct as if he were her father, there was something, a little thing in her, that made her slightly different than before. And it wasn't some change of emotions, depression or her mind becoming more mature, it wasn't anything of that, as such things would be natural for a human being to go through.
It was something different, an eerie feeling. Sakura or Yoshinaga never felt such thing and was unaware of Izumi's strange change. However, perhaps due to his abilities, Mihara was able to clearly see something strange in Izumi as a whole.
Of course, he couldn't just tell her straight away what was wrong with her. It would come as odd, and he would end up being cataloged as the weird one. He needed a place where he could be together with Izumi.
He was fearful, something, a strange feeling, dangling in his mind, never stopped. It was constantly telling him that something was off, something eerie and strange was happening to Izumi.
This "feeling" was one of Mihara's special Skills, [People's Journal]. The moment he's able to know a person and register them in his journal, he will be able to tell any changes in them, from their personality to their health. It was an incredibly useful Skill to assess causalities in wars, and even know strange diseases and health problems that healers or medics couldn't normally tell. He could even know how to write even better poems, going by the preferences of the population as a whole.
On Mihara's [People's Journal], where Izumi's profile was, there was something constantly telling him that Izumi had something in her that wasn't there the last time he met her.
Mihara was patient and enjoyed the tea time with the two young girls. In the end, when Sakura was called for some even on her family, which was composed of shrine maidens, Mihara was luckily left alone with Izumi.
"This is my chance," he thought.
Mihara acted friendly and decided to spend the rest of the day with Izumi. He even showed her his new poems and songs and even changed some things according to her recommendations.
As Izumi approached Mihara, he grew warier. For a moment, he lost his cool and his face was stiffened.
Izumi glared at Mihara, asking if everything was okay.
"Mihara san, are you feeling okay? Since this morning that you've been quite strange…" She said, with a worried expression on her beautiful face.
Mihara laughed as he relaxed his shoulders.
"Haha, its nothing. I suppose I'm just getting old…" he said, pretending to be fine.
And just as he was about to resume his poem, from Izumi's neck, a strange, red-colored liquid, appeared. And stealthily moved using strange abilities, slowly crawling towards Mihara's neck.
However, Mihara's senses kicked in, alerting him of something strange.
He jumped to the other side and found the strange slime coming from Izumi's neck as he saw Izumi's expression, clicking her tongue with a frustrated face.
"Tch…" She said.
Wait, tch?
Izumi was a girl known for her adorableness, she would never, said such a thing or do such expressions. There was clearly something off with her as if the strange red slime coming from her wasn't enough of a proof.
"Izumi…? What is… A monster?"
Mihara didn't wait for Izumi to answer him, he quickly chanted a poem about an immovable mountain as a strange shield made out of light and letters appeared around him, protecting him from the incoming attack.
Izumi's red slime pounced with immense force against the letters shield for several times, and after realizing that it couldn't break it with pure strength, it released countless of powerful Fire Spells, setting the whole house in flames.
"S-Shit! Izumi!"
Mihara was blinded by the fire and couldn't see Izumi, he had to escape. By using his superhuman strength developed through the harsh training that Yoshinaga put him through in the past, he escaped.
By using his Skill [People's Journal] and [Mental Mapping], Mihara was able to detect Izumi, who had run from the blazing house somewhere else. Thankfully, Mihara lived alone, so his house being in flames was not a problem to him, he owned riches everywhere, and could easily buy another one if he desired, calling some guards with Water Magic to set the flames off, he ran with all of his might, tailing Izumi.
With his [Superhuman Strength] and the Poem [Tales of a Wind Bird], he was able to increase his speed exponentially and caught up to the fleeing girl. However, what he saw there wasn't normal, the people around Izumi was suddenly attacked by the strange Slime and started to attack Mihara indiscriminately. 
"Brainwashing?! Is this what it used to take over Izumi?! Who is this damned monster?!" he thought, furious.
Mihara couldn't damage innocent civilians, and with his speed and strength, managed to evade their slow attacks, without losing Izumi from his sight.
By activating the Poem [Tales of a Fish that Became a Dragon], he gained the ability to fly like a dragon, leaving a trail of bluish wind behind him, with his flight, he caught up once again to Izumi and confronted her.
"Izumi! No… who are you?!" he said, landing in front of her while releasing countless skills, which appeared in the form of letters made of light.
The letters enclosed both of them in a confined space, and Izumi, without an option, decided to talk.
"It's me, Izumi, Mihara sama… Please, stop being so scary…"
"Don't play with me! You are not Izumi… That thing that was taking control of her body…! Who are you? What are your intentions? Leave Izumi alone!" He said, bewildered by Izumi's words.
"I-I don't know what you are talking about, Mihara sama… You're scaring me…"
"Izumi… No! Show yourself… Or I will have to attack your host!" Said Mihara, with a determined expression. If this being, whatever he was, could endanger the safety of the Empire as a whole, he wouldn't doubt for a second on attacking his beloved apprentice.
Izumi laughed, with a strange, mischievous smile.
"Fufufu… To think that you would go so far… Mihara sama~" She said, as the red slime appeared once again outside of Izumi's body, as a thick tentacle, it didn't have a face or anything, and used Izumi's face to speak.
"You're finally showing your true colors…" armed with his [Legendary] rank relic, the [Scroll of One Thousand Stories], Mihara was in a wary stance, with flashing letters rotating around him.

- Early morning

Zhang Jie Yu and Yue Qiu Shan were seated in a restaurant. There was a stone table in front of them and stone chairs about half a metre tall surrounding the tables. On the table was a jade tray, containing a pot and several tea cups. Two praying mats were beside them, with two other people occupying them.

The rising sun had just begun to shine. Zhang Jie Yu was seated quietly, meditating and chanting Dao Mantras. There was a line of Qi energy, similar to a thread on his body. 

Yue Qiu Shan had originally been drinking tea, but seeing a white string of Qi energy on his disciple’s body he knew it was the energy of an Elementary Scholar. He then said, "This energy is very profound. I was just thinking about your examinations, I did not expect to see results so soon. This is a gift.”

“With the Elementary Scholar status, your mortal side has been dissolved considerably.”

As Zhang Jie Yu was deep in meditation, his senses were all shut, and thus did not hear anything. A string of purple energy was visible for a second before he started vomiting. After three huffs, it disappeared. 

Yue Qiu Shan hurriedly poured a cup of red tea and brought it to Zhang Jie Yu who opened his eyes after smelling the aroma. 

Yue Qiu Shan smiled and said, "Come and sit Jie Yu.”

Zhang Jie Yu took the cup, drank a few mouthful and said, "That tasted good.”

“The product of a wealthy land obtained from ancient people with sincerity.” Yue Qiu Shan sighed and said, "Your Elementary Scholar status is already out.”

“In this world, people only care about wealth.” Yue Qiu Shan sighed again and said, " Look at these items. The curtains, the wooden files, the stove, the kneeling and praying mats. Even the tea you just drank. Are they not wealth too?”

“If you wish to speak of things of the Earth; although the divine mountains are not of this planet, Black Alter Sect’s mountain, Truth Sect’s Flat West mountain and First Pole Sect’s Green Treasure mountain, are they not Immortal mountains and not of this world either?”

“There can be no divine mountains without mountains.”

“As for paradise, even if our sect conquers the divine mountains, it is still a mountain. Therefore, the mountain Immortals, regardless, are still mountain people too.”

“These mountains need to have spiritual sources as with everything under the heavens.”

“Since there are many mountains on this Earth, you cannot conquer just one mountain and proclaim yourself king. People have to confer the title upon you, and recognize this to prevent any trouble. You know that if a mountain has no spiritual energy, conquering it means you are a just a rogue cultivator, and can only reach spirit Immortality. 

“This disciple knows that there are five classes of Immortals. Spirit Immortals, Human Immortals, Earth Immortals, Deity Immortals and Heaven Immortals. As for rogue cultivators, even if a human can cultivate the five energies, he will be no younger than a hundred and twenty when he is done. Then he will become a mere spirit Immortal. Zhang Jie Yu’s face was pale as he sighed, "The manual says that the pains of cultivating surpasses all else. Cultivation is like crops grown in sand and rocks, almost impossible to result in growth. Even if a person has the ability to fly, he would come up empty when he reaches paradise, and would only undergo transformation after.”     

“Only when there’s paradise, will there be Earth Immortals. Only when there’s a divine mountain, will there be Deity Immortals. The point of this discussion is to highlight the fact that even if you have the substance to become Immortal, but do not reach paradise, you will not become an Immortal. But our sect knows the path to paradise, and we have cultivated up to Earth Immortal status. 

“But teacher, what is the actual reason for coming so early? I am guessing it is not to say all these things.”

Yue Qiu Shan laughed and said, "We have thirteen people under us, and among them, I like you the most. You are young and have already developed such intelligence. Before I can even say anything, you have already guessed my intentions. You are correct.”

“Paradise has its limitations. I truly hope you will be able to rise in rank and eventually become an Earth Immortal, if not, to obtain the highest manual. But a word of advice, in order to become an Earth Immortal, you have to stand out from the rest.”

“I have a mission. If you are able to accomplish it, you will stand out from your peers.”

“Yes, thank you teacher for your guidance. Presumably, the new list of disciples have been confirmed?”

“The Elementary Scholars have been confirmed. Look, this is the namelist. Invite the Elementary Scholars according to this list. Silver Dragon Temple is just outside of the city and we have several outer circle disciples in the temple. Take these people into the temple. As to how you’re going to make them yield to you, I wish to see your methods. Take this as a test.”

Safe Travels Inn

Pei Zi Yun was in his room reading after just having breakfast. At this point, he had no spiritual roots and was thus, unable to cultivate. Since he had nothing better to do, he started reading essays.

“After careful calculation, considering I did not make any mistakes, I should be ranked in the first band among the top three. The worst case situation would have me at the top of the second band.”

“It’s just that I am feeling very uneasy, I do not know why.” Pei Zi Yun thought of his mother back in Snail Village, and Ye Su'er back at Peach Flower Origins monastery and felt a flutter in his heart that would not become still. He turned a few times in his bed and tried to read the essay that he had memorized and written in the exams. He then sighed and finally understood.

I've obtained the literary skills of the old Elementary Scholar. Although he was very talented, it took him a long time before he eventually acquired the Elementary Scholar title. Hence, he bore a sense of despair and resentment.

“And this was shown when I wrote the essay. It was flawless in every aspect except for that tone of resentment.”

There was a knock on the door.

“Oh, it is brother Tang!” the person on the door was Tang Zhen, with a bubbly demeanor. He laughed and said, "Brother Pei, you have rested for two days already! Shall we go out and have some fun today?”

He then took out his invitation. Pei Zi Yun opened it and took a look. The invitation was from a poet’s society for a meet. The venue was at River View restaurant which was not far from the inn. Pei Zi Yun considered for a moment, thinking of how restless he was just now, being unable to read his essay. He did not want to seem too anti-social as well, so he decided to stop hesitating and finally said, "Of course.”

After instructing the hotel staff to bring some hot water for him to wash, he dressed in a newly washed and starched outfit. 

Before long, they were along the walkway as they approached the restaurant. From afar, they were able to spot it along the banks of the river. It had a good five stories to it, and was all glass. As they got nearer, they noticed that the river was facing the restaurant, with a few boats rowing along it. 

“River View and River Reflections are the biggest restaurants around the river. But River Reflections is much newer.” As they reached the entrance, they were welcomed by a student who was dressed in white and had a golden belt. He was holding a fan and welcomed them. 

Before they got to the entrance, the student hurried over to welcome them, "It is the famous brother Pei. Welcome, welcome! I remember you from the banquet that night. The poem you wrote on stage was very good, and hence, we just had to invite you. I hope you do not find it strange that I am this straightforward.”

He then led Pei Zi Yun up to the roof of the restaurant. Pei Zi Yun’s heart leapt as he admired the view from such a height. The wind blew over as the river gushed below. The river was so huge that to look in one direction, you were unable to see the end of the other. This made him think of an ancient poem in his previous life, as he recalled the exact emotions he felt while he saw scenery like this. He then said, "The front never got to meet the ancestors, and the end never got to meet visitors. It can only gaze into the heavens for all eternity.”

When he had arrived at the last line, he could not bring himself to finish it because it was too tragic.

The last line of the poem was the most important point. By missing it out, it was taken that he had the talent but not the opportunity. He was a young man, and the results of the examinations were not even out, from where did he get such old sentiments? He thus stopped and pretended that the poem ended there. He then said softly, "The poem has ended. The last line shall be completed another time.”

“Good, what a good poem. The only thing that was missing was the last line. What a shame.” Pei Zi Yun heard somebody say. He turned around to find the person holding a teapot and standing up. He poured a cup of tea and gave it to him. It was Zhang Jie Yu.

Zhang Jie Yu was dressed in his usual sharp attire, wearing a red sash around his waist. His shoes had a seasoned look about them, and were not extravagant, but seemed like they had faced a storm. 

Pei Zi Yun looked confused as he thought to himself, "What confidence he has, who would have expected that he is now a disciple of Holy Jail Sect." 

“Hearing brother Pei’s three lines, I was intrigued, only to hear that the poem has ended. I shall drink three cups to help brother Pei’s poetic inspiration.” Zhang Jie Yu laughed as he spoke, full of confidence.

“Sure!”

The students all around him voiced their agreements. 

Everyone saw the leader of the poet’s society bringing a youth up the stairs and found him very familiar. The students around did not seem to mind and were all exchanging poems with each other. The youth abruptly recited a poem. After hearing his first line, they were all smiling. As he recited the second line, a few were shocked. When the third line was said, everyone felt that it was a special, mythical poem. But he failed to deliver the final line. Thus when Zhang Yu Jia suggested a toast of three cups to help with his inspiration, everyone agreed.

In his memory of the previous life, Zhang Jie Yu did not become an enemy of the original owner. They just had certain small conflicts. He unintentionally caused the original owner to take a misstep that eventually caused him to lose many years. At this point, Pei Zi Yun could not refuse the toast, and drank three cups. The wine was bitter, but he swallowed it anyway.

After walking a few steps, an idea came into his head, but he did not reveal it yet. He then laughed and said, "Today my inspiration for the poem is depleted and I cannot complete it.”

Zhang Jie Yu sat down, and did not move.

A student sighed and said, "It was such a majestic poem, but without its proper ending. What a waste. Why doesn’t brother Pei leave a mark on this restaurant until he is ready to finish his poem? Would that not be a good idea?”

At this point, the waiter came up to serve dessert and another waiter brought an inkstone and a quill.

What a coincidence. To bring up the writing materials just as it was suggested. A student then took the ink and quill, and dipped the quill into the inkstone.

Pei Zi Yun then walked up without hesitation, took the quill and started writing. 

Before long, he had written the first three lines of the poem, with the waiter himself reading the poem out loud.

Once he had finished, he too felt a tinge of regret. Noticing that the poem had no name he asked, "Will young master leave a name for the poem so that I can hang it up and wait for you to return and complete it.”

Pei Zi Yun laughed, “Since this poem was written atop this place, the poem shall be called River View.”

Suddenly, a commotion was heard downstairs and a Daoist man came upstairs. Seeing a table had some meat and wine, he proceeded to help himself to those.

The waiter was still thinking about the poem when he saw this unkempt Daoist and began to rage. 

From where did this dirty Daoist come from, and how dare he come into this restaurant and cause problems?!

Pei Zi Yun looked at this man and thought he looked familiar. A student said, "You dirty Daoist, all you know is eat and laze. And you still want to steal meat? Have you given up on your cultivation journey?”

As he said this, he drank the wine and replied, "Food and wine are for the stomach. Dao is for the heart.”

The student heard this and was enraged, "You are not speaking logic Daoist, in fact you are speaking rubbish.”

The waiter heard this and called for more waiters, "Come, let’s bring this scoundrel to the courts.”

Upon realizing the severity of the situation, Pei Zi Yun felt compelled to do something and said, "Just give him the wine and meat. Today is the poets gathering, why should everyone get upset.”

The waiter heard Pei Zi Yun and laughed, "Since master Pei asks for compassion, it will do us no harm to give him a plate of salted vegetables. But he has to eat somewhere else.”

As he said this, he instructed, "Give this Daoist some salted vegetable, and let him eat downstairs.”

Seeing this, the Daoist man said, "You wretched people, you don’t know better.”

The Daoist laughed as he walked down. Pei Zi Yun felt a laughter in his heart. He looked at Zhang Jie Yu and noticed he was deep in thought and was immobile. 

Nobody else knows, but I do. Zhang Jie Yu is a disciple of Holy Jail Sect. This Daoist man tried to fool around and disgraced the Dao. Zhang Jie Yu could not bear it.

But in a situation like this, this Daoist man seemed very fishy. This event is very suspicious as well.



Earth Immortals are cultivated from a blessed land,

"I could not take my eyes off myself when I wore the red kurti for trial; I was taken aback by my own beauty. And moreover every self help books, motivational and spiritual videos now a days chants the same mantra LOVE YOURSELF. I just followed my heart. I don't think there is anything wrong in this."
After giving this short lecture on her new avatar Mishti pondered over her speech for sometime. How fluently and fearlessly she voiced out what she felt. The recipient of the speech Neha, her best friend gaped at her.
"What? Did I say anything wrong? I know this is the problem of the people in this world. They are all idealists when it comes to speeches...We should do this, do that and blah blah blah.... but if someone follows up their lectures and do it actually they tag them as nuisance. What kind of society are we living in? We have as well at the same time we do not have the freedom to speech and expression. What good is education doing to us? Just a job and loads of bank balance? We don't think rationally and when we try do that we are termed as anti-socials. I cannot think of any better word than Hypocrite to name the society in which we are living."
Neha was astounded. Is this the same Mishti she knew yesterday ? What a transformation overnight... 
"I agree to whatever you say but just that did not expect you to speak these words out someday." Neha said with a low voice expecting Mishti to give a reply back poking the burning coal inside her which was born overnight.  Mishti was about to say something when suddenly Prof. Dasgupta entered the class.
"Good morning Sir!" sang the class in unison. 
"Good morning all of you, take your seats". Prof. Dasgupta had a profound knowledge in his subject. He wanted to do a lot in his life, he wanted to be among the top ten or twenty well known teachers across globe but situations did not favor him. He also became a  victim of the stereotypes in the society...Studying, getting a job, marrying and then children. The students did not like one thing about him. He was too judgmental and did not use to think twice before he speaking. 
"So today we are going to begin with the epic poem PARADISE LOST  BY MILTON.I want Janvi to read the first few lines. Janvi , where are you?" 
Janvi was the favorite student of Prof. Dasgupta. She was beautiful and she used to recite poems beautifully. Her pronunciation was just like the British people and sir favored her too much to give the other students of the class an opportunity to explore their own talents.
"Sir, she is absent today" came the sad reply from one of the students. "Can i read sir?" the same student asked. Prof. Dasgupta raised his eyebrows and gave a smirk. "Well other than Janvi I think I am the only person who will be able to do justice to the poem by reading it out". 
Everyone looked down and the one girl who showed courage to express her willingness to read was almost in tears. Mishti did not like this. She did not use to like it any other day also but that day was really special for some unknown reason.
"Because of your partiality we do not get chance to express ourselves and know what we are good in" said Mishti with a bold and steady voice. "Teachers like you demotivate us to believe in ourselves and do what we want to. For you, Janvi is the best student of this class. Have you ever tried to speak or listen to the other students? Have you tried to know what we are good in or given a chance to show our caliber? The truth is that we do not respect you, we do not like to listen to your nonsense and disrespectful words; so we keep quiet and you are such a fool that you take our silence as a form of respect to you. When you cannot give respect to others how can you expect the same from us?"
Prof. Dasgupta had a strange expression on his face. He looked disturbed. The whole class looked at Mishti and they just could not take their eyes off her. Not only because she was looking beautiful, but there was a new Mishti there standing and speaking aloud the thoughts of each and every mind in the class.
"Is this the way to talk to your teacher? You used to be a quiet student of the class. Did someone give you a dare to do what you just did?" Prof. Dasgupta asked in his suspicious tone.
"I just spoke out the truth sir, which you should have known long back but we were tamed not to speak out the bitter truth in front of the public or else we will be given punishments by hypocrites like you. I know after this day you will give me less marks in the assessments to come up and also can influence the other teachers of our department to do the same because you are powerful and the dynamics of power works now a days mostly at places when one's ego is hurt."
Prof. Dasgupta blurted out something which was not audible.  He closed his book, took the register and walked out off the class. And there stood Mishti with a smile on her face and a satisfaction which was brought to her by herself today. The entire class could not but stand up and clap for this girl for such a daring and honest discourse. Mishti became the star of the day.
"Thank God, your father did not see you going to the college in these clothes, wearing such make ups and paints on your lips." Mishti 's mother heaved a sigh of relief when she came back from college. "You know boys are attracted to girls who do not show off much, wear decent clothes and prepare good food for them. You should learn cooking now, at least you can start with the basics." Mishti 's mother thought her lecture will motivate Mishti to run to the kitchen and prepare something for the evening. But instead of that Mishti spoke-
" Maa, I want to go to out of my state to pursue my further studies. I want to explore the world, meet new people, try out new things. Is that not exciting!"
"Are you out of your mind? You are not doing anything great that you have to go out and study. You can continue with your studies here only. You can get a job also from here itself, why do you want to trouble yourself by going such far away places?"
Mishti expected similar kind of reply from her mother. She went on" Maa, I do not want to be a frog inside the well. to the frog the well is the world but the world is so vast. It will enhance my job opportunities and believe me it will help me to become a better human being." 
" I too also want you to become that dear! But look at me, I am also a working woman. I did not go to other states to seek my fortune, I know you will say that it was your time and now the time and situation both are different; what you popularly term as GENERATION GAP; but trust me if you have the potential you can do wonders."
"You wanted to go Maa but just because grandpa will feel bad you did not even place the proposal to him. After your marriage you wanted to start your own business. You wanted to go to Delhi to do your MBA and learn some foreign languages. Why am I putting past tense in my words. I think you still want to do them. You have pushed them down somewhere in your subconscious mind and you do not want to take them out because you are too afraid too speak about your opinions as you fear that it will offend others. I do not want to be like you. I have my opinions and it matters to me. If I am not going to take care of my thoughts someone else will take charge of them and manipulate them like it happened for you. Tag your ideas as Copyright Reserved."
Maa was not surprised as to what Mishti said or to see the change in her like the other people that day. Somewhere down her mind and heart she always wanted Mishti to be like that, outspoken. She knew that one day Mishti will speak out and that day will be the best day in her life, the most awaited day. She took a sip from her cup of tea, smiled and said "Well, I did not expect this day will come so soon!". 
Mishti and her mother both smiled at each other as if they understood what their minds were trying to speak out. Both of them knew, sometimes silence is the best speaker and that is what they were following in that conversation.

Everyday we wake up switching on our conscious minds and involuntarily  switching off the subconscious one. So many emotions, actions are suppressed in us; beating the walls of the brain box to let it open but alas they fail in their attempts!!!!  We know a world that we try to be unknown to because of so many factors. Mishti , the protagonist of the novel tries to explore both these worlds and where does she land up?

The python led the way while Wei Huo and the others rushed toward the floating continent it had mentioned. 200 kilometers was indeed not too far away. At their speed, it would take them at most two hours.
Along the way, they saw a seven-colored phoenix. The phoenix was flying freely as if no one was around. It was also at the Epic stage.
The giant python could not help but sigh when it saw the phoenix. "I thought I had successfully transcended tribulation and become a True Dragon. I didn't expect that I was still far away. Dreams are always beautiful, but reality is always cruel!"
Wei Huo and the others passed by the phoenix and checked its posture. The phoenix had indeed fallen into a weird state.
"Are you happy? I'm very happy!" It was singing.
Wei Huo asked the python, "Are all living creatures in this small world like this?"
The python shook its head. "I don't know. I only remember that I was happy. The joy of becoming a True Dragon shrouded me and made me addicted to happiness."
Wei Huo understood. It seemed like the key to this level was happiness.
The golden armor said, "The seventh level restricted behavior, but it did not restrict one's thoughts. The eighth level is the opposite. It confines one's thoughts and body."
Wei Huo said, "This is the difference between freedom and safety. Absolute freedom means sacrificing safety. Absolute safety means sacrificing freedom."
Wei Huo and the others were about to leave. They did not expect the seven-colored phoenix to pounce on them and shout, "I'm the chosen Phoenix. No one is my match. Die!"
Wei Huo's domain hit the three phoenix feathers on its forehead. The seven-colored phoenix immediately turned into a giant peacock. The peacock looked confused as it mumbled to itself, "Where am I? Who am I? What am I doing?"
When it saw Wei Huo and the others, it was shocked. "Are you at the Legendary level?!"
Its reaction was similar to the python's. When it realized that it was about to attack three Legendary creatures, it trembled in fear.
Wei Huo glanced at it and asked, "Do you know where the nearest floating continent is?"
The giant peacock dared not say that it did not know. It quickly said that it could lead the way and fly there.
The group sat on the giant peacock's back.
The giant peacock said, "The floating continent is southeast. Given my speed and our current progress, it will take me about an hour to get there."
After saying that, the peacock spread its wings and flew southeast.
On the way, Wei Huo asked, "What happened to you?"
The peacock recalled and said, "Many years ago, I swallowed the essence of the sun and moon and cultivated to the Dao. At the time, lightning descended from the sky. It was not easy for me to overcome it. I then ascended to the upper realm and came here to become a phoenix."
Its experience was exactly the same as the giant python's. They had not been creatures of Kunlun Mountain initially. They had cultivated near Kunlun Mountain before ascending and becoming what they'd wanted.
Wei Huo understood now. It was no wonder they called this place Paradise Immortal Realm. Here, all living creatures would change into the form they had in their minds and live the life they wanted.
An hour later, Wei Huo and the others finally arrived at the floating continent. Two sides of the floating continent could not be seen at all. They looked ahead and saw a plain first, followed by towering mountains. There seemed to be streams of light flying far away.
Wei Huo and the others continued moving forward. Soon, they saw an ancient city. They landed at the gate and heard shouting before entering the city.
"Happy sesame pastries! Happy sesame pastries for sale!"
"Happy dumplings, free happy dumplings!"
"Immortal Happy Water. If you aren't unhappy, don't drink it!"
The group was confused.
Why was this place so f*cking weird?
The python explained, "These people came here willingly to sell things. To them, selling things is a form of happiness. That's why they don't accept money. The more people buy things from them, the happier they will be."
Wei Huo went forward and asked for some Immortal Happy Water. After taking a sip, he realized that it was orange juice.
Wei Huo asked, "Why is it called Immortal Happy Water?"
The person selling water replied, "What are immortals? Aren't they free and unfettered? They can eat, sleep, and drink whatever they want. They can do whatever they want for fun. They won't die, and they don't need to earn money. They will live a carefree life. Isn't Immortal Happy Water meant for immortals like us?"
This person's words were logical, and there was nothing wrong with them. However, they felt weird.
The person selling water had made it clear that every living creature on the eighth level of the small world wanted to live life to the fullest. There, one could be free and unfettered. This was a true paradise!
This was probably what people called paradise or heaven.
Wei Huo continued walking into the city. After taking a few steps, he encountered a few people who were crawling on the ground. They were all strong, but they had to crawl on the ground.
Wei Huo asked, "Why don't you use your hands and feet?"
These people replied, "We can't be bothered to use them. We're happy, lazy Immortals. We can't be bothered to eat, walk, get out of bed, brush our teeth, or wash our faces. We just want to lie down forever."
Wei Huo stepped over their squirming bodies. After taking a few steps, they saw a few cats eating fish. A few dogs were running around with bones in their mouths. A person was beating another person up in the distance.
At that moment, another person walked over and recited a poem while walking. "What is happiness? Happiness is when cats eat fish and dogs eat meat. Oh… Sh*t, I stepped on dog sh*t."
That person suddenly jumped up, took off his shoes, and flung them away. His shoes hit a small dog that was chewing on bones. The small dog howled and took a bite of the kitten beside it. The kitten's fur stood on end, and it jumped on the roof. A pile of rubble fell down and hit the head of the person who had stepped on the dog sh*t.
Bang! The rubble was smashed into pieces, and that person fell to the ground with blood all over him. The surrounding people glanced at him and turned their heads away. They were not affected. They continued what they'd been doing.
Wei Huo was confused when he saw this scene. "Will unhappy people die immediately?"
In the distance, the person who had been beating someone up stopped, as the other person had been beaten to death by him.
"Awesome!" The man roared and started searching for his next target.
He walked around and approached Wei Huo. As he walked, he asked, "Are you guys happy?"
Wei Huo and the others ignored him. He was just an ordinary person. He was a little stronger, so he was not worth attacking.
That person looked at Wei Huo and the others and said, "I hate seeing others happy. If others are happy, I am unhappy. I will beat them up for being happy. Tell me, are you guys happy?"
Upon seeing the man walk over, Wei Huo pointed at him and touched his brows. His domain power penetrated the man's brain and controlled it. Soon, Wei Huo obtained the information he wanted.
After reading the information, Wei Huo sighed. "I see."


Wei Huo has been ignored and overlooked by almost everyone his entire life, including God. In a bid to transform the world into a more game-like one, God halted time for all humanity except for Wei Huo, leaving him to fend for himself. The teenager has no choice but to strive for survival whilst waiting for the day humanity’s clock to start ticking again. But wait a minute! What if that wait is longer than a person’s lifespan? Follow Wei Huo on his survival journey in a world infested with mutated beasts and carnivorous plants.

Thrasher instantly dodged five strikes from Humble Paradise as Mighty Cannon fired five arrows. 

"Heh, not bad!" Thrasher said as he dodged Humble Paradise's attacks.

Humble Paradise sent out five stabs, and after Thrasher dodging was extremely shocked! He was a thief class and had close to the same agility. It was as if he'd seen the night sleeping technique of the brooding assassin's clan.

"You're not too bad yourself!" Humble Paradise thought of what move to do next and was soon disappointed once again. He watched Thrasher narrowly dodge blows to his nape, torso, and gut with agile movements. Soon, though, without expecting it, he felt a foot hit his chin. In the next moment, Humble Paradise flew back leaving Mighty Cannon gawking.

"You… you're trained?" Mighty Cannon fired five arrows as Thrasher smiled activating swordsman's leap. 

Since his class was a short range class, they had this instantaneous movement skill. Thrasher appeared behind him and instantly used thrice slash. Mighty Cannon was sent flying towards Humble Paradise knocking him onto the ground.

"So, you two aren't very tough… however, I like your spirit!" As expected, Thrasher soon arrived and dished out a few hits to their faces leaving them with just 200 HP.

With the level difference, Purple Monarch and Dream Knight could only smile watching their guild leader.

"He's even better at this than the original World's Glory!" Dream Knight laughed looking at the two men get pummeled.

"Yup, that's our guild head! I always had a feeling he got that fearlessness from somewhere…" 

Thrasher, sent out another slash at Mighty Cannon, causing his last 200 HP to disappear. Purple Monarch looked down at his timer.

"Hey, Thrasher, you already used 20 seconds… Hurry up!" 

Thrasher turned over and nodded his head before he turned towards the approaching shadow of Humble Paradise.

"You're master must be very terrifying," Humble Paradise grinned before he stabbed at Thrasher. "However, he's nothing compared to the Brooding Clan's elites!"

Thrasher yawned in his face and seemed slightly confused. "You mean, there is someone out there that can beat master?" He had thought no one on this planet could beat his master, but apparently there was an underground clan.

Though, at this moment, he saw an opening and thrust into Humble Paradise's chest causing a epic gold item to drop.

Soon, the soul of Humble Paradise was joined by hundreds of fire balls, icicles and arrows. Thrasher activated swordsman leap again after its 10 second CD. He currently had 5 minutes left and Purple Monarch walked over towards Humble Paradise's ghost.

When players died in the game, a ghost would remain to watch the battle for up to 10 minutes. Purple Monarch decided to go keep him company, and even turned the ghost so he could see the beta tester final battle.

"Hmmm, so, did you guys really think my guild head would be weak?" Purple Monarch looked down at Humble Paradise who still couldn't believe Thrasher took his epic daggers.

"I-I-I…. I regret this and ask for your leaders forgiveness. Please ask him to return my daggers."

"Nope, you start a fight with him, he's probably going to keep your items!"

Dream Knight smiled at him and bent over looking into his eyes. "Yes, and if you ever do it again, you'll probably lose something even more precious."

Humble Paradise felt somewhat embarrassed at this moment. This girl was talking down to him, and he didn't even know what to say. Finally, he thought of something.

"Uhm, I am part of a huge underground organization known as the Brooding Clan. If he starts trouble with the Brooding Clan, the much stronger members shall come and hunt him."

Dream Knight smiled as Thrasher killed two mages, and three archers in a few seconds. "Hmmm, well, he'll probably just have fun with them!"

Purple Monarch nodded his head in agreement, and then started watching the bodies of the archers, and mages rain.

"Yup, we're going to get new items if you guys come!"

Dream Knight and Purple Monarch could only look over at Thrasher as he did the impossible. Two minutes later, the entire group of Beta testers was gone.

"Well… who wants to go to the auction house?" Thrasher smiled as he walked up to Humble Paradise holding his two epic daggers.

Humble Paradise could only beg once more. "Please, I'll tell you a secret if you return those!"

The most popular game, <<World's Glory>> had Thrasher as its top list of players.

With the coming of the VRMMORPG expansion, and the closing of the original servers, everyone thinks the top elites will change.
