After Du Ang left, Fang Zhao examined his office carefully.
Apart from his office desk and mini-computer, the most glaring items were a row of bookcases.
Very few people read physical books these days, but there were still a few. Some folks liked to go retro, others liked the look and feel of paper.

Browsing the book, Fang Zhao could sense how far along the entertainment industry had come. The virtual revolution began in the 206th year of the New Era, when the so-called "father of virtual idols" invented the "Reg Dimension," which launched virtual idols onto the big stage. The open competition between real celebrities and virtual idols marked the pinnacle of the virtual age.
"After the apocalypse, the world economy recovered rapidly. Technological advancements proliferated, among them the advent of digital technology, which converted all available data into a digital format and created a new sensory experience that encompassed sight, smell, and other human senses. Through certain algorithms and procedures, the digital revolution also paved the way for images, texts, sounds, and physical shapes that didn’t exist in the real world."

They crossed over from the virtual world to appear life-like in front of regular people, dazzling audiences on screen and injecting life into convention centers. The Reg Dimension is undoubtedly a ground-breaking invention.
Fang Zhao was fascinated by the book’s overview of the Reg Dimension.
The Reg Dimension was a virtual world, an application blending physics and computer science, invented by the New Era’s so-called "father of virtual idols," Reg Smith, 300 years ago. Virtual idols were created with this program.
Three hundred years ago, Reg Smith revolutionized virtual technology with the invention of the Reg Dimension, which enabled future digital artists to craft better and more realistic virtual forms.
The Reg Dimension encompassed billions of colors, overcoming the limitations of digital projection, making the movement of virtual idols smoother and more natural. Regardless of vantage point, they looked like real humans when beamed into life.
To quote the book: "The creation of a virtual idol is the process of creating an image in the virtual world and breathing life into it."
Virtual idols born into the Reg Dimension were refreshed by new ideas digital artists brought to the table and advancements in digital technology.
In the past 300 years, virtual technology has gone through countless upgrades that have perfected the virtual idol, but all these breakthroughs were built on the foundation of the Reg Dimension. You could say the Reg Dimension was the cornerstone of virtual technology.
Reg Smith created the Reg Dimension, laying the groundwork for the golden age of virtual idols, but 300 years later, Reg Smith and the golden age were long gone. That wasn't the program’s fault. The key was human talent.
Human expertise was the driving force behind the Reg Dimension, the "hand of god" that shaped virtual idols.
If he had the choice, Fang Zhao would've loved to time travel to 300 years ago and see the golden age of virtual idols for himself, the period so well-documented in books and film. Footage wouldn’t leave as deep of an impression as the real thing.
Back in the real world, Fang Zhao had a problem on his hands. He could find the technical expertise, but first he had to decide what his virtual idol would look like.
The book said, "In the Reg Dimension, you’re an artist with a pencil or a sculptor with a chisel, ready to bring your dreams to life."
Fang Zhao’s dilemma: what would he draw or sculpt if he had a pen or chisel?
Just as Fang Zhao was deep in thought, he had visitors—three of them, no less.
The head of the arrangement department, Ya Erlin, operations head Julian, and the head of back office operations, Bu Lai, showed up together.
"Geez, what a rare sight it is to see someone on this floor again." Ya Erlin raised his seemingly boneless finger and pointed at the corners of the office. "It’s still too empty."
"No worries. It’s Fang Zhao, right?" The head of back office operations, Bu Lai, assumed a paternal tone. "I’ll have a sofa shipped over tomorrow. Let me know if you need anything else. As long as it’s not too much trouble, I’ll take care of it."
"Don’t be a stranger with Bu Lai. He’s got tons of funding. Siphon off a little and you can take care of things," Julian joked.
The trio were curious about the project. They also felt that it was poor form to assign such a dead-end project to a newcomer, not to mention the newcomer who performed the best in the new talent contest. Wasn’t this hazing?
Even though they felt bad, they would never take on the project themselves. All Bu Lai was offering was to throw some resources his way. They didn’t want to touch the project itself.
"Fang Zhao, I know your expertise is composition. How much do you know about virtual idols?" Julian asked.
When it came to their age, Fang Zhao was much older than even Bu Lai, the oldest of the group, but he was trapped in a young body. Sensing their patronizing attitude, Fang Zhao didn’t take the conversation seriously. As for Julian’s question, Fang Zhao pondered and said, "Virtual idols are like Xun Huai and Fei Lisi."
The three department heads went silent for several seconds. That was a tough comment to follow up on.
After a while, Julian joked, "Don’t set your bar too high, young man. Otherwise you’ll be disappointed.
Everyone knew the other two Big Three companies excelled at producing virtual idols, especially Tongshan True Entertainment. Anyone they launched drew tens of millions of fans. Xun Huai was another success. They had even started putting him in movies, which meant he would become even more popular. The two-bit virtual idols of Silver Wing were no match.
"There’s no need to set your sights on Xun Huai and Fei Lisi. Ai, just do your best. If you fail, we won’t blame you," Bu Lai said with a sigh.
Hovering in the horizon, Ya Erlin rolled his eyes. Sure, they wouldn’t blame Fang Zhao, but the higher ups were a different story.
"Do the three of you have favorite virtual idols?"
"Of course." Ya Erlin was about to say something but pretended to laugh instead. "That was so long ago. It’s not worth mentioning."
Fang Zhao shifted his gaze to Julian and Bu Lai. The two of them weren’t in a sharing mood either.
"We were just concerned. Fang Zhao, we gotta get back to work." Bu Lai waved and headed out.
"I should get going too."
"Me too."
Julian and Ya Erlin followed suit. Barely out the door, Ya Erlin was glad he had stopped his train of thought. If he said too much and Fang Zhao created a virtual idol based on his ideas, he would be blamed for the failed project too.
"Thank God I caught myself. Thank God."
After the three department heads left, Fang Zhao was just a few more pages into his book when another person showed up.
The new arrival was about 30. His beard was a mess and his palm-length hair resembled a mop. There was a mark on his face, probably made when he fell asleep on his desk. This was the lone staffer Du Ang had mentioned.
"How are you? I’m Zu Wen, a technician in the virtual idol department."
"I’m Fang Zhao, the new producer." Fang Zhao signaled Zu Wen to find himself a chair.
Zu Wen pulled up a chair casually and sat down, legs spread. "I know about you. The whole department has heard."
Fang Zhao knew his new reputation didn’t stem from the new talent contest. Even though the competition was important to newcomers, it wasn't not so important to other staffers. He had an idea where his newfound renown derived from.
The whole company knew that the virtual idol project had been dumped onto a newcomer from the composition department. It was a hot topic on internal message boards. A techie like Zu Wen had to be up to date.
"So we’re the only two people left on the project?" Fang Zhao asked.
"Yep, it’s just us two," Zu Wen responded lackadaisically. "There used to be three more people. They applied for transfers this morning when they heard you were assigned to the project."
So before Fang Zhao’s arrival, the virtual idol department hadn’t been gutted entirely. There were four staffers this morning. The department hadn’t had a manager since last year’s project failed. The last department head/producer was still hospitalized. Word has it he took the failure hard and was mired in deep depression. He’d been resting in the hospital since. No one knew exactly how he was doing.
Since they didn’t have a boss, the staffers behaved like carefree shepherds, signing in and then napping and gaming until the workday was over. Their pay wasn’t great, but it didn’t require much effort.
After word spread that the department was being revived, the three staffers fled.
"Why did you decide to stay?" Fang Zhao asked. "How come everyone else left and you decided to stay?"
"I didn’t transfer in time," Zu Wen said with a yawn. "I fell asleep writing my transfer application. I just woke up."
Fang Zhao: "…..."
No wonder Du Ang didn’t lash out at Zu Wen when he caught him napping. He was probably afraid that he would scare off the final employee.
Zu Wen kept yawning. Fang Zhao suddenly asked, "You follow any pop stars?"
"You mean the virtual idols that are active on the internet these days?"
"Yes, but older ones count too."
"If that’s the case, no." Zu Wen flashed his white teeth. "Because I’m a Reg Dimension technician.
Fang Zhao remembered reading in his book that most Reg Dimension technicians shared the same mindset: I only worship the idols I create. The existing pop idols on the market were created by others. My idol has to be the product of my own imagination.

The word refers to the God of the Earth, concentrating the powers of the Earth. With that word on the Heaven and Earth Mirror, the device gives off an entirely different aura.
 
Lin Feng quietly tries to detect the changes within the Heaven and Earth Mirror. Suddenly he tapped it with his finger, casting the Dual Dimension Vacuum Charm.

Lin Feng was not frustrated at all. In fact, a smile appeared on his face.
 
While this was definitely not the mirror’s primary function, to be able to hold down Space demonstrates its inimitable prowess as a Nascent Soul Stage weapon!
 
After acquiring the Heaven and Earth Mirror that year, it was first repaired with the Galaxy Sand, before being strengthened with the Gaia Jade. Today, after being refined with the help of the Heavenly Book of Nations, it finally recovered its past glory.
 
"What an interesting device, " Lin Feng chuckled, turning his attention once again to the Heavenly Book of Nations.
 
In the Space, countless letters arranged themselves into order. Initially incomplete and lacking at places, with the help of the Heaven and Earth Mirror, the missing parts were filled in, revealing itself as a complete mantra.
 
The mantra occupied Lin Feng’s mind as he tried calmly to memorise the mantra. Even though he was physically in the Vacuum, he seemed to still be connected to the Earth.
 
Lin Feng could feel that he was gaining in strength and power. He opened his eyes, "The Heavenly Book of Nations is indeed extraordinary."
 
Within the mantra system, in Space, the last uncertain element, the Earth, has finally been stabilised at this moment.
The Earth, Water, Fire and Wind – these four elements were all considered stable, the system reminder rang beside his ear.

An image appeared in Lin Feng’s mind: space was in chaos, and amidst the chaos, it was suddenly shattered.

Shortly after that came the sound of water, gushing out from the raging fire and shooting high up to the sky.
 
Concurrently, the soil turned. Everywhere was covered in broken pieces of soil.
 
The hurricane roared on with a deafening noise. 
 
The entire primeval state of universe had completely lost its delicate balance, transforming into endless chaos involving soil, water, fire and wind. Each wreaked havoc in a magnitude that was completely unparalleled. 
 
Lin Feng quietly watched the violent movements of the soil, water, fire and wind, as they became more violent with the passage of time. However, amidst the chaos, a peculiar balance was reached, finally from them all emerged a bubble-like object.
 
Lin Feng willed it mentally and the bubble quickly exploded. From it spurted two air currents – one clear the other murky.
 
As soon as these two air currents appeared, the chaotic state of the Earth, water, fire and wind was finally ended as calmness was restored. The clear current gradually rose, while the murky one slowly sank.
 
The murky stream slowly sank, becoming heavier and heavier by each second. It condensed to form a solid base, transforming into the Earth crust, then into mountains, streams and rivers.
The clear stream gradually rose, further and further away. It was ubiquitous and capricious, transforming into the sky, then into the stars, sun and moon.
 
The sky and the Earth were separated. A whole new world was born, just like that.
 
Lin Feng tried to contemplate the theory within, and was momentarily enlightened, "Destroy the Heaven and the Earth, separate the primeval state of universe, reset the soil, water, fire and wind, split the sky and the Earth, create the world – this should be essence of the Four Appearances Unlocking Heaven Book."
 
"Now, I can finally execute the last step." Lin Feng’s consciousness left the System Dimension. 
He had a gut feeling and he raised his head to gaze at the direction of the Space.
 
There, he could vaguely see the lightning flashing and hear the thunder rumbling. A specter of oppression and fear hovered above the peak of Mount Yujing.
 
"My Lord, I am facing my Lightning Tribulation soon," Kang Nanhua’s voice rang beside his ears.
 
Lin Feng came to the edge of the precipice of Mount Yujing and stared down. On the precipice there was cave from which a thick and powerful aura emanated from it – that must be Kang Nanhua’s handpicked place of residence.
 
"Focus on overcoming the Lightning Tribulations, do not worry about the other matters. I will use my powers to protect you," Lin Feng said, "This round of Lightning Tribulations, are you confident?"
 
There are three major tribulations at the Aurous Core Stage, and the last tribulation is the Lightning Tribulations. Once one transcended them, one could become a Nascent Soul. From thereon, one could traverse the entire sky and Earth, explore all of the Space, travel tens of thousand of miles, and live a long life.
 
The lifespans of Cultivators will be increased. Becoming an Aurous Core was another challenge that they must face. Once successful, they can live up to a thousand years.
 
To cross over from the Aurous Core Stage to the Nascent Soul Stage was another challenge. If one could successfully become a Nascent Soul, one’s lifespan will be increased to 3600 years.
 
As long as the Soul was not damaged, the cultivator’s lifespan would not change.
Living for up to 3600 years practically made one as good as immortal.
 
Yet, the Lightning Tribulations are the most dangerous ones of the three tribulations of the Aurous Core. Many warriors and heroes alike had failed at this essential challenge.
Having a formidable accumulation of powers, noble Aurous Core qualities, and strong determination are all essential qualities that one must possess. In fact, one must also need some luck to succeed.
 
To overcome the Lightning Tribulations, one must do it oneself, without the help of others. If anyone extended a helping hand, the tribulations would only become more difficult.
 
The Lightning Tribulations are completely different from the lightning powers performed by the Cultivators. Even if it was the lightning summoned from the sky, its destructive powers were still no match for the Lightning Tribulations.
 
The Lightning Tribulations were undoubtedly the most potent force in this world.
 
Not too long ago, Zhu Yi chanced upon an artifact used by a Cultivator to learn the Dark Mantra at the Great Hengduan Mountains. That person was a Cultivator belonging to the later stage of the Aurous Core stage, but because he could not stand against the Lightning Tribulations, he was directly struck by the lightning and turned into ashes.
 
Even though Kang Nanhua was well-versed in many mantras and was extremely skilled and powerful, Lin Feng was worried for him.
 
"My Lord, please don’t worry on my behalf. If not for the fact that I am now on Mount Yujing, I would be only 70 percent confident about overcoming the Lightning Tribulations," Kang Nanhua smiled and replied, "But now, I am 90 percent confident that I can get through this unscathed."

The Lightning Tribulations was such that no matter where and how you hid, the lightning would still split the Space and find its way to you.
 
Cultivators of the later stage of the Aurous Core Stage had to discover the secrets of Space from the Lightning Tribulations’ Space-splitting power. This was what many Cultivators of the Nascent Soul Stage had to go through to understand the secrets and mysteries of the Space.
 
Before Kang Nanhua, the Sand of the Ganges and the Great Chaos Primordial Water combined with each other, shielding him from the lightning.
 
His entire body shook violently as a result of the strong impact, but his heart remained calm.
Lin Feng could palpably feel the pressure of overcoming the Lightning Tribulations. Even though he was merely a bystander, he found it extremely frightening.

While observing Kang Nanhua fending himself against the Lightning Tribulations, Lin Feng had a sudden thought, "When a Cultivator establishes his foundation, he must be indefatigable in his 
pursuit, and unwavering in his commitment."
 
"To brew the Golden Elixir is to overcome the fear of death, attaining the enlightenment of the soul."
 
"And the Soul Formation, on the other hand, was a test of the Cultivator’s mental strength. When faced with an impending life-threatening danger, they should remain fearless, calm and courageous."
 
To cultivate oneself was to disobey the laws of nature and to go against God-ordained fate. The ultimate outcome was not to be as one with nature, but to understand the laws of nature while 
retaining our agency, before creating a world of our own.
 
Once enlightened about this, Lin Feng could feel his Golden Elixir turning and tossing, as his soul seemed to fuse as one with Space. He could sense that the Earth was watching him, and he immediately understood, "Am I going to face the Lightning Tribulations soon too?"
 
At this moment, the lightning strikes began to abate gradually. Kang Nanhua was as pale as death, but light appeared above his head and a shiny purple Golden Elixir emerged from the top of his head.
 
The Golden Elixir that Kang Nanhua successfully produced was also purple in colour, but he was covered in cracks and crevices, so fragile that it looked as though it could be shattered easily.
 
"Open!" Kang Nanhua remained as pale, but he was certainly delighted. He raised his head and blew at his Golden Elixir.
 
His Golden Elixir emanated light. Amidst the light, a shadow slowly emerged, and it belongs to the outline of a newborn baby.
 
But this baby sat cross-legged with his hands clasped together chanting the mantra. The Sand of the Ganges and the Great Chaos Primordial Water orbited around the baby.
 
Lin Feng saw that and thought to himself, "So this is Kang Nanhua’s nascent soul."
 
Kang Nanhua called out gently, and the Nascent Soul above his head entered his scalp."
 
Lin Feng landed beside him and beamed, "Congratulations for successfully reaching the Nascent Soul Stage."
 
Kang Nanhua laughed, "All thanks to my Lord for inviting me to Mount Yujing. This could not be so successful without your help."
 
Lin Feng smiled while shaking his head. He did not utter a word. The truth was, he should be grateful to Kang Nanhua, for his experience would make it much easier for Lin Feng in the future.
 
Time passed quickly in the mountain. After spending some time recovering his powers, Kang Nanhua was almost back to his prime. With his formidable powers, even if he merely stood there, it seemed as though he could open the Space.
 
At this point of time, Miao Shihao brought Yang Qing back to Mount Yujing. After Cloud Water Cave was destroyed, Yang Qing had nowhere to go. When Lin Feng was willing to let him stay at Mount Yujing, of course, he was more than grateful. After all, a beautiful haven like Mount Yujing was hard to come by.

Prologue

Rei didn't have many aspirations in his life, he just wanted to be a author and live a happy life.

From a young age, he was infatuated with books. From literary works like «Gone with the wind» to fantasies like the «Harry Potter» series, he had read everything.

The only goal in his life was to become a author. Writing books all day and getting appreciations from his fans at night, it was his dream life.

His story was just about a boy who was bullied in school, was afraid of the darkness and whose crush had rejected him but even after those things, he always found peace when he was reading a book.

It was literally about himself just he had changed the story somewhat to make it more entertaining.

He didn't throught that such type of story would work, only people with depression will wanted to read his story.

But reality was different, before he know it, his book was getting published.

Rei was excited but he was not optimistic about the book. He didn't thought that many people will like his book.

But reality was still in his favour, the book sell like pancakes.

He was being hailed as the genius of the literature world.

Before he knew it his dream of becoming a author was fulfilled.

He was now a famous, genius author whose book was a bestseller.

So, what will Rei do next? 

It was to live his dream life!

People started recognizing him in the street Broadcast stations would ask him to appear in their shows, and he became famous at his school.

Rei loved the popularity, and the sense of respect was not half bad either. It felt like his talent was being appreciated.

The bullying was stopped, the teachers who had previously given him a blind eye began appreciating him, the girl who had rejected him became his girlfriend.

Everything was perfect but the problem was his next book.

Rei's next work was a test. After the book had reached its peak of popularity, people were divided into two opposing opinions. 

Rumors kept popping up every day. Some said that he was a genius while others said that he was a fake. 

As much as the crowd loved Rei's work, they had trouble trusting a young author.

Rei didn't pay much attention at the time. It did hurt his feelings, but he was able to remain confident.

After all, he did write the book himself. He thought he would be able to prove to everyone with the following book. He thought it would be a piece of cake for a genius. 

He wasn't entirely happy with how the writing turned out, but that had also happened with the first book. The editor was against Rei's second book, but he didn't listen.

Eventually, he rejected the editor's advice and released his work with another publisher.

That was the start of his end. His next book was a disaster.

The publicity backfired on him. From a young genius, he was now a one-hit wonder.

But he didn't gave up, he thought that just a failure was nothing. He could still make a comeback with his next work.

He thought that he just have to write from his heart but he didn't realise that his heart had changed since he got popular.

After three more books, his career was over. 

He was now a failed author instead of a genius author. 

His career was finished, his girlfriend had left him and he had spend all his money in gambling.

After that years went quickly, he lived a life of depression.

Alcohol, smoking and drugs had made him hollow from the insides but he didn't die.

His dream of becoming a author was still there but he knew it was only a dream for him.

He kept reminiscing about his glorious past but he knew he can only thought about it.

Everyday he started thinking of the reason his career failed.

Was it the stardom? No, it wasn't. It was his ego and impatient that failed him.

He was too proud back then, thinking that he was a genius but he was nothing.

He just wasted away his youth thinking that he was the best but he was only a normal person with a big ego.

'Maybe it will be different if I can start again'

Rei thought as he jumped off the terrace of a building. 

He knew his life can never be the same. He didn't wanted to live a life on the streets. 

After thinking it through, he decided to end his life. 

Every book has its end and in this way the book of Rei's life ended.

Or was it just the beginning....

I've never been a person in the spotlight. So why now why me why does the reason I've got so possibly been this reason. Why does everybody want me to continue why does everybody expect everything from me. Why does my life have to be so hard why can I just breathe and forget everything that I don't want to remember. But that would be impossible that would be too easy to easy for anybody to easy for me. My life has never been easy never so why start now. I've never had my own living I've never did anything on my own. Nobody whether know what's going inside of my mind nobody will whether know if I'm OK or am I sad or mad for murdering my depression. Yes I do kill my depression I'll find my own battles and fight them. It all started in on my Saturday weekend I was going to the new school I never thought that life would change after I was at the schools. I met up with my old eighth grade friend because I mr. I never tried to control any other situations. I wish I could have emotions I wish I could control everything.But I can't and won't because if I am able to control everything like forgot my way. And though I forgot my way I will always know how to return. I try to battle my thoughts my mind my Ways. But I always come back to the question why me. Why can I have been a normal person. Why do I always have to be why am why do I need to control the situation so much why do I need to be in charge why me. Why do I feel like I'm never in control and when I'm in control is so much power and I lose my mind. Why me why Knigge been anybody else in the world why me and never won anything like this. And even if I wanted it why could I never have it even if I won the prize and won the world and one my love in one everything that I could or could be one. Why couldn't that one not be mine I never understood heartbreaks I never understood why people got heart breaks I never understood why heartbreaks was such an important thing. And then I experience my own my first heartbreak was devastating I never understood why do people always cried when they had their first heartbreak. Why when people argue do I cry maybe it's because the problems I had on my family maybe it's because I hate arguments maybe because I feel like all problems are the route that come from our units. This may not make sense this will probably never make sense you're only makes sense for those that needs to make sense. And if it doesn't make sense I'll just use this book as my ranting book so when I need yell and scream and talk about life I'll use this book

"Travis and me were not just friends", Ace began in a melancholy tone," We were a little less than a family".

After their session of letting everything off in a clearance, and carrying out a quick make out session of kisses, but not giving in fully to desires, finally Jay dared raising the topic regarding their history.

Him and Travis.

She is not dumb, nor she was when in a pitiful situation but still not unsuccessful to make out what they were talking about. Everything about their exchange screamed nothing but sketchy.

Friends? Do friends speak such things after a long-gone meeting?

Sha had not doubted Ace once, not even after several rings of him taking the life of a family member.

All she demanded, was Ace to reveal it himself. Because after all she had learnt one loyal and true thing, that was to trust him.

Currently, Ace had her imprisoned in a suffocating trap of his arms around her shoulders relaxing on the sofa with their legs dangling on the floor, Jay between his legs. His unnatural detest towards the cold was getting too warm for her, to the level that she started feeling the heat rush to her cheeks reddening them.

No matter how much obedient, she had never entertained him on things which would endanger her space of free zone. Not this time too. With the first drop of sweat formed on her face, when Ace had barely started speaking, she ended up breaking free from his arms with a very cold expression and sitting away from him on the furry chair …...earning a pout from the brunette leaving him hanging alone by himself.

But Ace didn't sulk, and just pulled his legs up from the concrete as he continued judging Jay's curious face from before, gaping at him.



"Me, him and sometimes Edrei"

- Edrei?

- His sister.

- Stereotypical change after her death?

Ace just laughed lightly," I can't compete with your sharpness". Jay stopped interrupting.

"But yes, Stereotypical change", Ace said with a less humorous face," Not like I had ever noticed any close relation between those two like actual siblings would have, rather than getting verbally abused by her. Well, family influence I guess, more like genetics", he cracked.

Jay's lips stretched a little as she looked down to hide it.

Ace didn't miss it, couldn't miss it. He paused on his words and stared at her like a fool. For this whole time, he hadn't remembered her smiling once. Even this time, she hid it at the very climax. Did the confession let out such a fucking drastic change???

Kind of intriguing!



"Ace!", Jay pressed on her second call when he seemed in a dreamland of his own.

He snapped out from the trance and diverted his gaze.

Get a grip, you hormonal fucker!!!



"And he said his family is living well", Jay exposed irritancy," Lies".

"Maybe I just overlooked the deeper part of it, where they actually had a bond. It was invisible or hidden, but had started revealing during Edrei's last moments in the hospital. I could see their valued family in each other's eyes", Ace concluded that part of the story," and as you said, things went just the way you had assumed it would. Travis changed".

"That was how he had metamorphosed", Jay pointed," Doesn't explain the toxicity".



"A blonde bitch, that's what I was ever called", Ace turned the page to himself," Blue eyes, blonde hair, a perfect blend and material to bully and fuck".

Jay lifted her eyes at his head full of dark chocolate coloured hair.



Ace, a fuck material? He can be anything, but that. The picture he carries along, seducing women like preying on ants, can only portray the image of a playboy or a fuckboy. His body doesn't seem something which anyone would be interested to bottom, rather than getting laid.



Ace caught her staring and smirked," Perfect workout and dye portion outcome, right? You feeling attracted? Yes?".

Jay rolled her eyes," I had confessed to that just a while back", she said bluntly.



And Ace didn't expect her to be that casual.

She didn't even deny or get shy. Instead got him blushing!

With an art of another sarcasm, Jay said," Care not to drop lame humour in between?".

"Sorry", With an apology Ace picked where he had left off," Travis, the fucker wasn't strong or a fighter, but had to intervene when I was approached. We would escape together with cuts and bruises, but at least I could ensure to not get raped alone".

The hint of disappointment didn't escape Jay.

"And after Edrei left, I had a hard time to keep dragging him out of depression. May be for selfish reasons, but unfortunately I didn't know that my nagging concerns would just lead him to discover his sexuality as an outcome"



This time Jay shifted in her position a little, lifting her face. She understood what was incoming, everything was making a little sense.

"Did you …...sleep with him?", Jay suddenly asked.



Ace was caught off guard with no prediction of that. He cocked one eye brow above smirking at the sudden out-show of emotion," That's your priority concern, eh! You kinda changed my perspective about you Jay, maybe you are not that innocent".

Jay immediately pulled on a poker face.

Ace didn't move his eyes from her, trying to get her flustered uselessly.

When he received no favourable reply, he said," I'm straight Jay, do you believe me?".

Jay nodded without hesitating.

Ace nodded back satisfied," But he kissed me once, I was so clueless and lost that I couldn't stop him. I thought maybe he'll come out of depression once after that. But it didn't help or harm him. It was me; it was after that phase when I ......",

"...…. entered the stage of chronic triggers", Jay finished.



- He took it so lightly, after all the shits I went through to save his ass during his depression. Believe me, else he would have been one of us by the time.

- I always had that vibe coming from him. But he is a normal.

- Right? Because I dropped my sanity for that. All he said me was that, it's all in my mind and it's nothing compared to what he had went through.

- Enough for me to lose it.

- But I didn't, I FUCKING didn't!

Jay flinched at Ace's voice. Travis has got some impact on him, and why wouldn't he! Ace practically preserved his mind only to get rid of his own. Their friendship was long gone and Jay was sure that Travis must have been only getting back at him for the rejection. She couldn't find it to blame it on him either, because he didn't get through easy himself. Turned away from his only friend, after losing his family and overcoming extreme tendencies.

Whereas Ace, he was a whole different case.



"That was the only time Jay ...", Ace had resumed," .... I was fabricated for something I didn't do. The sole reason of such a remedy in my life, was because I was forced in it".

Jay sensed the distress. He was unwilling to continue. This was where she had to re-enter again to cut him some slack. It was the climax.

Standing up gaining his sudden attention from the moment, she performed another act of déjà vu. Walked away, turned of the furnace, returned and sat beside him again. Allowing him access to physical contact, but to do it she had to decrease the surrounding heat. Else she can't risk a steamy night with him.

Ace was however quite flustered when Jay shifted her position and leaned her back on to him.

An act of energising him and bringing him out of it, so that he could continue. A very special and silent way which can only belong to her. He mouthed and pressed a shy smile, while Jay closed her eyes lazily against him.



"Nothing beyond that", she warned when Ace sneaked his arm around her waist, snuggling her closer.

"Okay", came the very satisfied reply with the allowance of the small affection, "Thanks".

"Can you continue?", she asked.

"Yes", Ace resumed with a more settled mind.

- A whole fucking year in the juvenile. Because an accident on the terrace which was what actually caused that fucker of a brother's death, which reflected as if I pushed him off. The level of trust I had in Travis, was enough to make me fight for him even if he would have committed any crime. But he? He didn't even hesitate to give his witness in the court against me for a moment Jay.

"Did he see it all?", Jay asked quietly.



"To save his ass, just the ending scene", Ace scoffed," And also, when I was actually in a very traumatic situation of a trigger".



"How did you survive there?", Jay turned her head a bit," The juvenile?".



"Self-harm"



"Ace!"



"No suicidal thoughts", Ace added fast," But I actually became what I was framed for after I was released", there was a raging tone in his voice.

- How long?

- 4 years till…...you!

- Alone?

- My family rejected me.

- Travis?

- You think???

Jay stopped her interrogations. Clearly the topic of Travis was very toxic for him. It's true that it's impossible for them to trust any one normal than them. They'll end up running all against them at the end.

The loop around her waist tightened more as she felt him stiffen against her, pulling her closer. His head fell on her shoulder as she discovered a brand-new side of Ace. He was exceptionally clingy for a reason and kept on trying to cuddle more to her, taking advantage of the allowed physical contact. Jay however didn't decline him and let him have his way.

After all, she had understood the burden of fragility he had been carrying this whole time. Easy to break quickly.

And He had made Jay his only sheltered salvation.

Leaving Jay drowned in thoughts, Ace was busy rubbing his head against her neck stealing warmth.









"But that doesn't explain your past with him now, does it Jaylynne?", Jay shivered hearing her full name from his mouth, right next to her ear," You've got some explaining to do".

His fucking dominance is back!!!

" When you're still suffering but alive, you are cleansed and pure. But when learn to remedise it yourself, that's when you're corrupted and hollowed. And that is when you're actually dead".

With suddenly Ace gone sooner than Jay could have predicted, she had only his words remembered with still no meaning in them.
All he left her were his memories, in those which she actually lived.
And those, which will never let her live again!

With already attempted numerous suicidals, before her unknown oblivion could devour her.....it had already caught up to her to drag her to her grave...
That's when enters the non-human called Raven with complete manly features, offering to rescue her at the cost of a stange deal....

"Because we exist for the sole reason to serve your kind"

Now all the decisions lie upon Jay, to change the course of her twisted fate only by 3 small things:
1. Accept all conditions of Raven
2. Going all against what Ace sacrificed and protected
3. Give up her humanity

Because when emotions develop...it's a scary thing!!!

I'm a novice writer. This is my first time writing a book that I've actually been interested in. Once I'm finished with the whole book, I'll begin editing the chapters that need to be edited. Sorry for the inconvenience! I'm also not good at grammar! I'll try to get better!

To tell you the truth I never believed in our society, our memory is corrupted to make each other believe that we are all perfect. It’s all a lie, but nobody can see it. It’s hard to get people to understand something so believable but so hard to believe. The blank window glass, so clean. so perfect, but can easily become imperfect. Everyone walked in sync, I could never understand how they could do that. I tried to keep up, but one day they’re going to find out that I’m corrupting their perfect world.

Country J; Intermediate City 12; The Forest, Afternoon
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ryan wandered through the woods, occasionally marking trees with crosses so as to find his way when he was done. He wanted to find a safe place far from human eyes where he could test his powers without drawing any attention if he destroyed something by accident. And for that, he was going deep into the woods until he found a place he was satisfied with.

He found that place 30 minutes later. In the woods, there was a slight depression in the ground and covered with some large, dense trees. The area was shady and mostly inconspicuous, and it was far from town and even if someone did come this far they probably wouldn't notice if some parts of it were broken, if they even noticed it at all.

Ryan walked towards the depression and weaved his way around the trees until he reached the center. Once at the center, he started thinking about which he should try first. He currently only had 3 visible abilities, Super Strenght, Healing, and Psychokinesis, while all his other abilities don't have a visible effect whatsoever. The abilities with invisible effects have already been tried and tested, so he only has to worry about the three visible ones. Or at least, that's what Ryan hopes he has to worry about. After all, there is a chance he has other powers, in which case, he should probably know about them. He sincerely hoped he doesn't have more powers, but he can't be sure without looking and he can't just ignore them as he did before in case they suddenly cause trouble.

"Ok then. I guess I'll go with strength first. It's probably going to be the most convenient after all."

What Ryan meant by that is simple. He's using his power without reservation now, but psychokinesis goes wild without the book and is hard to control even with the book, so testing it will be difficult. Healing is useless without something to heal, but the only thing he's ever tried it on is himself so he has to basically hurt something first, thus the inconvenience. He can get a good idea of his strength on the other hand by simply punching something.

Ryan readied himself. First, he made sure his feet were firmly on the ground, his center of balance down low to the ground, and his arm slung back. He prepared to put his full force and weight behind the punch, took a deep breath, and pushed all his strength out forward as fast as he could.

His fist smashed into the nearest tree and blew a hole piercing straight through it. Splinters flew through the air, embedding themselves into some nearby trees and the surrounding foliage. The tree fell over a few moments later.

Ryan's fist hung in place as he stared slack-jawed at the immense damage he caused. He then felt something trickling down his fingers and pulled his hand back to check on it. He was bleeding from the impact, and a large splinter was embedded into the back of his hand, near his knuckles. Strangely enough, while it did hurt, it was more of a slight sting. It honestly did not hurt that much.

Ryan pulled out the splinter and checked the wound, only to find it was already gone. His blood had yet to coagulate and yet the wound had already closed up.

So that's his strength and healing ability confirmed. Now, what about psychokinesis?

Ryan looked around at his surroundings and saw a small stone. Deciding it would be good enough, he shifted his focus onto it as he tried to use his power. He did not move a single inch, just stared intensely at the small stone, and willed it to move. The stone started wiggling and moving a bit, before slowly rising into the air. It then started rapidly gaining speed.

Trying not to lose sight of it, Ryan willed it to stop. The stone stopped, floating in midair. Then he tried to make it move again, and the stone flew to the right. It once again accelerated rapidly and pierced through yet another tree. Once again Ryan tried to reel it in, only to end up losing control as the stone bounced around like a high powered ping pong ball of death knocking down trees in moments as it moved in seemingly random angles and everchanging trajectories, sometimes downright ignoring the laws of momentum with its instantaneous turns and bends.

"Well, this is going to be a problem."

Ryan muttered to himself just as the stone flew toward him. His defensive instincts kicked in and he was able to duck just in time to keep his head on his shoulders.

You see, this was the problem with psychokinesis. If he uses the book, it needs a lot of concentration, and it gets out of hand very easily. If he doesn't use the book, his psychokinesis tears through anything in his vicinity like a small hurricane. How does Ryan know this? Well, he doesn't, or at the very least he didn't until now.

"Ahh"

Ryan dodged the deadly projectile once again. If he could control it, it would be a great weapon if he ever found himself in a pinch for whatever reason. And so Ryan once again attempted to regain control. The stone flew around destroying everything within the small depression, and most of the trees had already collapsed. Just as it was about hit Ryan, he once again dodged. And again, and again. Another 4 hours passed as Ryan continuously had to dodge before he could regain control, and he found himself on the ground tired. The stone flew at him once again and curved just before it hit him. 

This was the newest thing Ryan had learned, but even without him exerting any effort, the stone, and most likely any other controlled object, would avoid him once it got close. He wasn't sure if it was the book or his own subconscious, but the stone simply couldn't touch him in the slightest, which also made Ryan feel like a fool for putting so much effort into dodging, even though he had no way of knowing this prior. It also invalidated his speculations about having enhanced reflexes since there was no way to prove whether it was his reflexes or his powers that let him go unharmed.

Still, now Ryan knew he was free to test out his psychokinesis without any worry about his personal safety. So he did.

At first, it was difficult to get the stone to listen to him, but after a few hours of concentration and a slight headache, he could at least influence its speed and direction. He couldn't make any complex movements though since it either goes very slow, which is useless and hard to maintain, or very fast, which is useful but hard to control. In other words, if he wanted to bring out its full power, he had to resort to straight lines and angles. Curves were still out of his reach.

Still, he could do some basic maneuvers easily enough. All in all, Ryan was satisfied. He knew his power better and even got some training in. He looked up to the sky and noticed that it was getting dark.

12th Intermediate City was fairly normal. It didn't have the budget to make or keep a wall, and most people who lived inside were low or middle class, with almost no high-class people. In short, there wasn't any important reason nor a viable means to keep people in or out, so entry and exit were left unchecked. However, it was pretty dangerous at night, and for that reason, Ryan was hurrying to return home before dusk.

Ryan quickly but carefully rushed through the trees, following his markers back to the city. Once he arrived at the cities edge he slowed down a bit and made a beeline toward his house. There were a few cars roaming the streets, and Ryan was careful at every corner and crossroads he encountered down his path home.

Along the way, he ran into some traffic and had to wait for a few minutes before the light changed to red. He counted to three before rushing across the road, fully alert. No isekai today either.

He arrived at his street and power walked to his address. Once there, he checked the mail, there was nothing, walked to the front door, and produced a set of keys from his pocket. As soon as he unlocked the door, he stormed in shut the door tight behind him and closed it. He managed to control his strength enough to not break anything.

Tired from the earlier practice and worrisome rush home, Ryan laid his back n the wall and slid down to the floor. He breathed heavily for a bit as he caught his breath, and then went to find himself a light snack.

After munching on an apple, he went to the bathroom. Once there, he used the toilet, and then took a bath. As he did, he noticed a few changes. His skin was smoother and lighter, his muscles were more defined, and he was just a tiny bit taller. As he finished bathing, he checked the mirror and saw that his formerly dull brown eyes were now sparkling and his once rough, drab brown hair was now like freshly made silk velvet.

His new appearance certainly wasn't a total transformation, and one would have to look at him for a few seconds to really tell the difference, but it was there, and it was noticeable.

Taking a second to breathe in his new appearance, Ryan couldn't help but sigh as he thought of all the trouble this was sure to bring.

He made his way up to his room, were unwrapped the black, waterproof plastic that kept the small, thin book, tightly strapped to his leg. He checked the marking the book had left as it dug into his flesh, before opening the book itself and carefully studying the symbols within the book as he had done religiously every night since he acquired it.

He then climbed into bed and slept with the book in his hands. Unknown to him, a storm was brewing that would shake the world to its very core, and he was its eye.

Ryan is your average kid, except for his unstoppable imagination and perception. He isn't a genius by any regard, just very imaginative and wise beyond his years.

One day he found a book. It had no name and no words. Just 1 page with 2 different symbols.

Thus began the tale of a god and his creations.

Thus began the Atheron Cosmos.
