Yggdrasil, the lesioned Heart of Darkness, was extremely unstable and anxious. Perhaps he had been driven to madness by the corruption and erosion of his mind, which had lasted thousands of years. Maybe, the rational part of him was almost completely corrupted. Now, this mighty demigod just wished he could die. His abnormal brain was becoming slow.
Only now Yggdrasil realized that Hao Ren could help him carry out his death wish.
But Hao Ren did not agree to his request.
"The situation may not be so as bad as you think." Hao Ren dissuaded Yggdrasil. "You may not have a solution, but what if I do?"
At this time, the rational consciousness, which the executioner Yggdrasil had created, began to speak, "I think this makes sense. We can't solve the problem of corruption because we are trapped in this body. But this outsider can do what we can't."
Hao Ren suddenly realized he had not introduced himself. He quickly turned around and said, "Allow me to introduce myself; I am—"
"I know." The voice, soft but powerful enough to drown the noise from the storm and waves on the dark ocean, interrupting Hao Ren. "I am also a master of this world. I and another me share all the information here. I have heard you introducing yourself just now. I don't want to reveal myself as it is very troublesome to face the other me. But your arrival has let me see a glimmer of hope."
"Hope is an illusion," Yggdrasil's Heart of Darkness mumbled. "A motivation coming out of nowhere; I really don't understand why you are so driven by this kind of thing."
"As you can see, the darkly negative power has seriously affected the thought of another me," said the voice in the light apologetically. "He was strong and optimistic during the first five thousand years of corruption. But the corruptive forces have gradually overwhelmed his mind. The subtle influence was almost impossible to stop. In fact, I always think that my appearance means that corruption has gotten the upper hand. When Yggdrasil decided to create an alternative consciousness to end himself, 'he' had bowed to the dark side of his heart."
"Stupidity beyond belief!" the voice of the Heart of Darkness sounded angry. "Haven't you realized that the situation is getting out of hand already? I have even lost control of my body. The lesioned organ is devouring the entire runic body physically, and has even transformed the environment of Niebelungen! The corruption has spread from the spiritual to the material world, yet you are still unaware of it!"
Hao Ren thought of the deformed dark tentacles that ran through the entire land of Niebelungen. It seemed that the tentacles had occupied the whole kingdom of Death and could break through the barrier of Midgard at any time. "What is the nature of this corruption?" Hao Ren could not help but ask.
The dark ocean rolled up its huge waves as thunder rumbled through the heavens and the earth. The light piercing through the air quickly burst into an intense light, keeping the mighty, dark ocean in check. At last, the Heart of Darkness of Yggdrasil finally calmed down, voice exhausted. "Nature… nature… Ahh, whenever I think of it, I would feel my soul is undergoing an irreversible change. But I am going to tell you anyway—if you have the guts to listen."
Earlier, the sudden storm on the ocean shocked Hao Ren. He thought the spiritual world was crumbling. "Holy moly! Are you okay?"
"No, I'm not! This has been going on for thousands of years, but what can I do?" said the Heart of Darkness. "You want to know about the nature of the corruption? It is kind of hard to explain. I don't even know when it has started to lurk inside my soul. But I do know that it began to attack me the moment I crossed the wall. So it happened from the very beginning. It could be a soul or something, and was confined to the realm of the soul and mind at the beginning."
"Could it be a psychic virus?" Hao Ren suddenly said.
"That's an interesting term," the Heart of Darkness said. "I am afraid it is. It lurks deep inside me, feeds on my strength, and creates trouble in my mind. But this is not the worst. The most horrible thing about this thing is that it has spread out from my dreams. Can you imagine that? This monster lurking in my spiritual world comes out from my dreams and crawls into the real world! At first, I found that parts of my limbs were shrinking, so I cut them off. But those limbs soon became monsters that ravaged the world. I then found myself starting to secrete toxic fluid in the Niebelungen area. This fluid was the condensation from the hatred and madness. A poor black dragon slamming into my diseased organs went crazy the next day, so I realized that the corruption had spread from the spiritual world into the material world."
Hao Ren was trying to figure out in his mind the nature of the corruption. He could not find any scientific and reasonable explanation. With a vague idea of the corruption, he asked, "Do you know who has planted the seed of corruption in you?"
After silent for a moment, the Heart of Darkness said, "You surely know something; otherwise you will not ask this question. Yes, the corruption could not have emerged out of thin air or been the vulnerability my mother left behind after she created me. I'm sure it comes from the enemy. All sufferings come from the forces opposing my mother. I have been investigating the matter. Though no breakthrough so far, I firmly believe that it comes from my mother's enemy."
"I know the war of ten thousand years ago," said Hao Ren. "Could it be the deicidal rebels who created this corrupt factor to thwart the plan of the goddess of creation?"
"It seems that you know more than I think!" The voice of the Heart of Darkness was filled with excitement. "I am suspicious as much as convinced of you. You are either a friend of my mother or a villain. But this is not important—I couldn't do anything now after all. Those treacherous children? You might have overestimated them. How could those fools subvert the great plan of my mother? They might have achieved some success, but they couldn't really derail my mother's greatest plan. They couldn't implant the corrupt factor in my body. Behind them, there is another force, which is the real culprit, at play. That force has fought with my mother for years, and I believe that it is that force that causes my situation today."
Hao Ren's suspicion was confirmed. "Do you mean the Cosmic Progenitor, the voice that incited the treacherous child murdering the goddess?"
"You even know this!"
"I have been investigating this for a long time," Hao Ren said. "I have even found the wreckage of the Gate of Solenne, but I could not find more fragments of the divine realm. I have found part of the Creation Engine. My team and I are still trying to assemble it. If you trust me, I can tell you more and show you something that you might be interested in."
"The Gate of Solenne... The Creation Engine..." The voice in the light mumbled. "I think this guy is trustworthy."
"Me too." The Heart of Darkness, who rarely saw eye to eye with the voice in the light, agreed. "Okay, strange demigod, you have my attention. So what are you going to tell us?"
"I don't know the cause of your corruption, but I have successfully controlled the guy who is homologous to your cause of corruption," Hao Ren said, carefully choosing his words. "Do you know how the goddess of creation died?"
The dark ocean suddenly surged, rolling up giant waves up into the sky as if the sea was hanging upside down. Things were only back to normal after a long while.
"Of course, I would never forget that," the two minds of Yggdrasil said in unison.
"if I'm not mistaken, the black sword, who killed my mother, is the creation of the Cosmic Progenitor." Hao Ren tried to stay calm. "It is in my hands and under my control."
The whole world turned upside down.
Hao Ren was not kicked out of the mental connection. The spiritual world had not collapsed. Yggdrasil was only emotional. Like other guardians, he remained rational and did not vent his anger on the weapon.
Hao Ren took out the Godslayer—in the form of a spiritual body.
In the spiritual world, the Godslayer appeared as a black mountain, which appeared alongside the thorny mountain of the Heart of Darkness on the dark ocean. Curiously, the Godslayer scanned the surroundings before it introduced itself. "Hi, everyone, I am Godslayer; alias, Echo Wall; childhood name, Small Sword. You can call me McStabby. Why is it so noisy here?"

Someone said that darkness represented sin and death. 
On the other hand, it was also a noble power like brightness, powerful and resplendent. Many failed to carry it well. 
True darkness was calm, all-embracing, tranquil and quiet. It followed the principle of maintaining balance.
True darkness was not dejected and forlorn. Only those who were silly would think that darkness was negative and embroil themselves in the intricate web of darkness.
Darkness was elegant, calm, silent, mysterious and destructive.
At the same time, darkness also symbolized loneliness and solace.
When enraged, darkness would consume everything and erode everything that provoked it.
There were thick fumes of smoke in the car, which seemed like they would not disperse. Si Yiyan held his cigarette between his fingers, allowing the ashes to fall onto the carpet beneath his feet while leaning back against the car seat in exhaustion. 
He was suddenly reminded of something.

Feeling heartened, his mother looked at him and caressed his head. "Good boy. You chose the light because your heart is bright and clear."
He later realized that his mother was afraid that the dark past of Xiasi Group would consume the clarity and brightness within him. That was the reason why she asked him such a question and ignited a flame within him.
He only realized now that without Wen Xinya, he would be plunged in total darkness, completely helpless and unable to save himself.
He finally found an answer to his mother's question. "Darkness. Darkness may consume the light, but it also lets everyone know the importance of light."
Wen Xinya was the light of his life. 
"How long more will the journey take?" he asked, completely losing track of time. His judgment had also been impaired and he seemed to be losing his willpower with each passing minute and second.
It was the fourth time in ten minutes that he had asked for the duration of the remaining journey. The interval between each question got shorter and shorter. 
Gu Yuehan suppressed his emotions and answered, "We still have three minutes and forty-eight seconds to go!"
"Three minutes and forty-eight seconds!" Si Yiyan repeatedly muttered under his breath.
At this moment, a man walked towards him hurriedly and said, "Ninth Young Master, we've used the satellite system to track the mobile number which called from the remote mountain area in the West Region. Those abductors have asked for a ransom of 100 million US dollars from the Wen Family. The Wen Family has already agreed to transfer the money to XXXX bank account, as requested by the abductors. We've found out that this Swiss bank account is registered under an anonymous name. We can't find any other leads."
Si Yiyan rose from the seat slowly with a heavy heart. If they didn't ask for the ransom, it would be guaranteed that Wen Xinya stayed alive. However, now that they had asked for a ransom, Wen Xinya's life would be in danger, especially since the Wen Family had agreed to give the ransom.
"Hand me the voice recording," Si Yiyan said with a splitting headache. Within just a few hours, he was completely drained out of energy, both physically and mentally. Fatigue overwhelmed him like tidal waves.
The man hesitated for a moment.
Si Yiyan suddenly laughed, for the man's hesitation could only mean that the recording contained the sounds of Wen Xinya being tortured and subjected to harsh treatment.
Noticing that he had laughed, the man panicked and frantically handed the recording to him.
Si Yiyan grabbed it and played the recording. Listening to the sounds of the abductors abusing Wen Xinya and her shrieks of terror and pain, Si Yiyan felt as if his heart was a fragile piece of paper that was crushed into a ball!
Just as the darkness began to erode Si Yiyan's rationality, the car came to a halt.
"Ninth Young Master, we're here!"
Si Yiyan abruptly pushed the car door open and alighted. He was suddenly consumed by darkness which infiltrated his body. 
Gu Yuehan's heart skipped a beat and gestured at the cars behind them before following Si Yiyan.
They had parked their car at a remote and faraway spot in order to avoid alarming the three abductors. The neurons of Si Yiyan's brain were connecting rapidly. When they were in the car, he had already begun analyzing the satellite map, and it was as if he instinctively walked into the darkness. It was as if darkness had invaded him silently without warning.
About ten minutes later, they approached the bomb shelter.
Si Yiyan gestured calmly, after which the people behind him silently delved into the darkness and blocked the opening of the cave.
Si Yiyan made another hand gesture.
The sounds of shuffling could be heard.
About a minute later, there was no longer any noise. 
An ominous feeling filled Si Yiyan's heart and he made another hand gestured.
What followed next were louder sounds.
Two minutes later, there was silence once again.
Si Yiyan gestured once more and leaped towards the cave opening like a leopard chasing its prey.
Gu Yuehan followed closely behind.
The people behind him who were originally supposed to camouflage could no longer be bothered to continue with it and instead came out of cover. Si Yiyan's safety was their priority. 
In the dark cave where light was scarce, the dim light shone onto Si Yiyan's tall and slender figure, elongating his silhouette and shadow which was cast on the wall of the cave. His black outfit seemed to have consumed everything.
Si Yiyan stepped on the muddy ground and discovered that there were dense sounds ringing in the cave. It felt as if someone was stepping on their hearts.
Si Yiyan stared at the empty cave which was full of life. The air was filled with the smell of fast food and the ground was stained with blood. It was a truly horrifying sight… which was proof of the torment that Wen Xinya was subjected to.
Wen Xinya was the woman whom he loved with all his heart and pampered to bits. He showered her with unconditional care and concern, loved her selflessly and would worry at the slightest thing that happened to her. Whenever a strand of hair fell out of her scalp, he would do everything to help her nourish her body, for fear that she suffered from malnutrition. 
Yet, she was subjected to such cruel violence!
He darted forward and picked up the small mobile phone on the ground. Holding it tightly in his hand, he yelled, "Where is she!?!"
There was a strong melancholy in his voice. However, none of his subordinates dared to answer him and instead continued to search the scene for more clues.

"I need to go back to the Kingdom of Light and meet with the others first, This Urao must not be taken too lightly anymore"

The Demons look towards him and attacks him at one 
Zivon shoots out a Shine Bomb to take out almost all of them at once
"These guys are not so powerful but If I came back any later then this, This would have been a much bigger problem then this"
Zivon tells himself as he heads towards the Kingdom of Light 
Meanwhile in a Dark Room 
"Zero failed to kill him, Tch, Then there is no choice, I am going to face him myself, Dri, Tell the other Demons of Other World, To Begin the Demolition"
Urao tells Dri 
"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, Because There is only a 50% chance I would be able to win this battle"

"After you being sucked in the Dark Ball, Urao brings in Millions of Demons in this world 
Those Demons attacked our Kingdom to kill all of Zivon's relatives but we countered the Demons and the one leading this Army is none other than"
A Guy jumps with Blue Flames surrounding him and his punch as he comes on the ground and causing his Blue Flames to kill the Demons around him

One Unfortunate day, The strongest man on Earth died and got reincarnated to another world to be a Servant of a Princess
The Name of that Man was Zivon, He lost his memories from the previous world but still had the powers
He hated the princess as because of her His parents were killed
But One Day his powers from his previous life awakens and he became too powerful
He was then taken away from the castle and that was when the journey began of the Hero of the Another World-Zivon

[Setting is an open field of grass]

The sun is shining brightly on Light and his Master as they walk through the valley. They have been traveling for several months after separating from Dark. The Master explains that he will be leaving Light to continue on his own solitary cultivation. The two share a heartfelt moment as they hug each other. The Master tells Light if he can make it to the inner disciples of the monk temple, then he will be sent to cultivate and gain real world experience. When this time comes, Light should seek out the Master so he can see what has become of his pupil. 
Light agrees as he turns and continues to walk without the Master. Our perspective turns and reveals a city in the middle of the valley with a large temple as the centerpiece. Light enters the city as his Master looks on with a tear rolling down his face.

[Flash to Light, his Sister, and Tre standing next to a small kid pool and a tree]

"Alright!" Light says dressed like an 80s P.E. Coach. "It's time to start working on your cultivation." Light looks at the two little warriors as they stand in attention. He starts with his little Sister. 
"Your attribute is water. This is the element of change. When you think of water, what do you think of? Something you buy in a bottle or squirt out of a hose? What about the ice that you put in your glass or the snow that falls in the winter? It is the most adaptable element. Even the air we breathe has water in it. You must learn to change with your environment. So to practice this, you will meditate in water." Light gestures to the small pool of water as his little sister jumps in with her bathing suit. 
She begins to splash around as Tre looks confused. He thought this would involve more training than that. Tre is a little more excited as Light turns to face him. 
"Tre, you will need to keep this off this ground for as long as you can." Light kicks the tree trunk and the branches begin to shake. A single leaf falls from the tree and Light catches it with his hand before it hits the ground. 
"You want to juggle some leaves in my hands?" Tre says with a smirk. 
"No Tre, I want you to keep this leaf from hitting the ground using only your breath. You are not ready for more leaves yet." Light let's go of the leave and the wind carries it over to Tre's hands. He cups the leaf and checks for any wires to the trick he just saw.  Convinced the leaf is just a leaf, Tre tosses the leaf in the air and tries to blow some air. The leaf dances above Tre's head before sliding past and hitting the floor. Tre tried again but with the same results. 
"Man how is this supposed to help me learn to fight? Am I gonna have a really stinky lunch before I breath on my enemies?" Tre snickers at his own joke. 
Light picks up the leaf and hands it to his friend. "Wind is the hardest element to tame. Don't think of the wind as a weapon. Think of it as a partner. A living and breathing being that loves to play around. But if you can focus your partner on a single area, it can become as sharp as a knife, or as powerful as a hurricane! Before you can learn to control your partner's movements, you must learn to control your own. Feel the breath within yourself and focus that energy into one spot. Control what your breath does to the leaf and you can extend that energy into controlling your partner."
Tre looks at the leaf and considers what Light has told him. Light turns and runs back to his sister who continues to play around in the pool. 

[Flash to Light's previous life]

We see light waking through the streets of the new city he's entered. The hill where he left his master is no longer visible. Light sees all types of people of all shapes and sizes. Some try to sell items to Light, some offer comfortable housing for the night, and some beg Light for money. He waded through all these people in the market as he walks closer to the temple. As he approaches the base of the temple grounds, he walks up to a large gate. The gate seems large enough to surround the entire temple and high enough to stop anyone that could try to climb it. Light knocks on the huge door at the front of the gate but there is no answer. 
"Hello!" Light calls out and pauses, but there is no response. Light can only hear the sounds of the marketplace in the background. The temple almost seems empty. He looks around the door but only sees a drawing on the door of the sun with a stone ornament in the center. Light becomes curious of this stone. It looks like Quartz stone at the center of the sun. Light places his hand on the stone and begins to concentrate. As his energy circulates into the stone, light bursts forth from the door. As the light becomes brighter and brighter, it blinds Light. When the light fades away, Light opens his eyes to see the door with the sun is open. Light slowly peaks his head in, but he is surrounded by darkness. He inches into the doorway, and the door shuts behind him. 

[Flash to Light talking to his sister while Tre continues to blow on his leaf]

"Hey now, this is not a day out at the pool. We are training." Light struggles to catch his sister who's splashing around in the pool. He sits down next to the pool with a look that pierces his sister. She calms down and sits in the middle of the pool. They both begin to cultivate while Tre moves over to a quiet place nearby. 
Light's mind drifts off as he remembers the conversation he had with the Spirit inside of himself. 

[Flash back to last night when the Spirit revealed he was the first cultivator of Light]

"What do you mean you were the first cultivator? That must have happened millions of years ago in a while other dimension! Why are you in my body here?" Light asks as he paces the room back and forth. 
The Spirit tells him that he once fought in a huge battle that ended in great failure for the Spirit. As a result he was trapped for a long time. 
Light gets silent, then looks at the Spirit. Light walks closer as his mouth begins to move. "There used to be drawings. Giant pictures that covered the temple where I studied Light cultivation in my previous life. These pictures spoke of a story. Well, this story was more like a legend. It spoke about the beginning, how darkness covered everything. And from this darkness came forth the Light. The Darkness was banished by the light which made room for all other cultivation to begin."
The Spirit laughed at Light's story. "So that's how they are telling my tale these days. It's funny how history twists things that people don't understand."
Light sits at the Spirit's ghostly feet as he listens to the Spirit explains what really happened. 

[Flash to a visual explanation with the Spirit narrating]

In the beginning, it is true that darkness ruled over all. It was the emptiness of space that governed over everything. However, a small start appeared within this darkness. It challenged the darkness with a mighty explosion! This is the first explosion that created all the planets and stars we see today. However, the darkness did not just disappear. Where there is Light, there is always Darkness. This is the creed of the Light Monks. It reminds us that the fight is never over. After the darkness was pushed back by all the other elements, it grew jealous. Wanting to reclaim its place as ruler of the galaxy, darkness seeped into every part of every world. These drops of darkness developed into what we called Shadow demons!
The Spirit was a simple man with a family. A wife and three children. They all lived together on a mountain side on the outskirts of town. The Spirit says one day he hears a commotion coming from the town. As he looked out he saw fire and heard screams. He ran to get a closer look at what was happening to the town. He found men, women, and children torn to pieces by shadow demons running through town. These demons could not be cut, could not be shot. Men swung relentlessly at the creatures, but their farming tools went right through the beasts. The Spirit ran from the beasts back to his home, but when he arrived he saw that the beasts were already waiting there. They destroyed his home and family and there was nothing he could do to stop them. Suddenly the sun began to poke through the cloudy scaring the shadow demons away. The Spirit laid on the floor of what used to be his home as he cried out. 
Soon, the spirit hears a response to his prayers in the form of a voice. This voice told him that he had to be the one to stop these beasts from destroying any other lives. The Spirit looked around but saw nothing. He bathed in the sunlight and all of his injuries healed. The Spirit looked into the sun and he saw a woman stepping down from the sky as if she was walking down stairs. He spoke to this woman and she told him that she was the Earth's Sun. 
Light interrupts, "wait a minute. You're telling me you talked to the sun?"
The Spirit bends down to Light's face, "you can believe in shadow demons and using your spirit to connect to the stars, but you don't believe in a sun goddess?"
Light says, "good point", and the Spirit continues with his explanation. 
The Sun goddess told the Spirit about the history of darkness and where the shadow demons came from. She was determined to wash the darkness off the face of the earth once and for all, but she could not fight this battle herself. She needs a warrior to represent her in the fight. The Spirit wondered why he was to be chosen, but the Sun goddess would not say. She only promised him power to stop the darkness. The Spirit agreed and spent the rest of his life learning light cultivation from the Sun. This continued for years as the Spirit learned to be a warrior for Light. He slayed demon after demon but it never seemed to end. There were always more shadows that would spring forth to torment innocent families. 
The Spirit knew that he wouldn't be able to continue this fight alone. He would die before the war was ever won. So as he traveled the world defeating shadow demons, he gained allies and taught them each to cultivate their internal energies. Their abilities stemmed from their own personalities which formed the 4 element cultivation that Light knows today. However, everything came from the basic forms of Light cultivation. 
Finally, the Spirit discovered The Source. 
"What's The Source?" Light asks in curiosity. 
The Spirit explains that is what the beginning of all darkness is called. All shadow comes from The Source and unless this is stopped, all darkness will continue. The Spirit speaks about their battle which lasted for hours. Light vs Darkness clashed with no clear winner in sight. After wearing down the darkness, the Spirit used one final move in an attempt to destroy the darkness, but the darkness cannot be destroyed. It can only be splintered. The darkness spread out in little tiny crystal pieces that drove itself into the earth. The pieces of darkness are still connected to the Source. They summon shadow demons and influence people to do the Source's bidding. Anyone destined to meet one of these catalyst crystals are born with darkness energy within them. The Spirit told Light that his brother was one of these destined people. Light's face shows how shocked he is by this news.

We didn't know why it happened it just did. That day was the day that darkness descent. We couldn't stop it even if we wanted to. I was alone when it beginner I couldn't say that for others other than my self.

Darkness and light was all I ever saw sense that day. I was stuck in the middle of the two, each trying to tug me to one side. As I lay asleep I can hear someone calling my name. It sounded a lot like my mother and father but that couldn't be right for they were killed by him a monsters name that I will forever curse and to never mention.

"Tang" 

There it goes I hear it again.

"What do you want" I reply 

It voice gets huskier, deeper, and scarier as both says together "We want you Tang" 
Suddenly out of the darkness comes a black mask and out of the light comes a white. They both attack me at the same time leaving me scared witless. They flew and attached to my face overlapping each other. Pain etching through my very being as the now joined mask attaches itself to my face. I tried to take it off it wouldn't budge. The pain just increased and so did my screams.

When my eyes finally opened I relaxed. Looking around my little home, comfortable to be back in a place that look so familiar. "Grrrrrrroooowwwlll" was the sound of my stomach as it growled in hunger, I got up from my futon to see if there was and food in the fridge, there wasn't. Looks like I am going to go by some groceries. I look inside my wallet with only a $20 left. "Looks like tonight is going to be a regular 'dry bread' " I thought to myself.

As I walked out the door it was dark I couldn't see a thing. It reminded me of the dark side of my dream. But, I kept on walking anyway for as I knew my was around this street like the back of my hand. As I arrived at store It's title shone brightly in the darkness. "Dawn's Dingles" it said. When I walked into the store there was that familiar entrance jingle making the counter worker know I was there.

" oh, Hi Tang" says Jinwoo a 35 year old that have been working here for 5 years. His brown hair was the only characteristic that was good about home for it shone brightly gold in the light.
" Oh, Hi Jinwoo and you to Wang" I say too the silent dog on the ground. For some odd reason it never made a sound it was always there so silent,as if you never look you would not know He's there. 

"Hey Jinwoo"
"Yeah"
"Why is it so dark out here"
"I don't know it became like that two hours ago"
"So how's the wife and child" I asked Jinwoo.
"They doing good, we still holding on even if we running out of money" he continues
"Lately Maya (Jinwoo's Wife) has been acting a little rough in and out of bed"
"Oh,really. Y'all got several issues" I reply 
"Well it makes the relationship more interesting doesn't it"
"Hahaha" we both laugh. 
"Well I will take the usual to go"
"Really Tang you should try eating something different other than bread once in a while"
"I would if I could Jinwoo"
" Hey Tang did ...."

For Jinwoo wasn't able to finish his sentence before all the lights went out. That was just the beginning for everywhere around us we started to here rebounding screams of fear. Flesh tearing, eventually the screams died down. As I am still trying to find out what it was, I hear Jinwoo behind me say "Tang Wang he's not wang" "What are you talking about Jinwoo"? 

As I turned around to look at him I see a fear filled face as he looked at the darkness behind me. All of the suddenly I heard it a deep growling that didn't sound like a dog. As I turned around I see that we're Wang once's lied there was a shadow of a ferocious beast about five meters tall, eyes glowing red, teeth sharply white, and skin ripped with muscle. It do like eyes staring at us as if staring prey. For at this moment I finally knew what fear was,  but little did I know this was just the beginning for this fear filled world.

The End is Just the Beginning for me. The day that darkness descended was the day that I started to thrive. Darkness and Light was my friend. I was my own kind of Yin-Yang. When the darkness came the world changed. Mutations started happening right before our eyes. Before we knew it humans hit the bottom of the food chain and it became an animals world. Only the strongest will survive. 

Tang was a poor person when it started but he wasn’t always like this. He used to be a CEO at 16. One of the most powerful and youngest bachelor. That’s until his own brother betrayed him. His older brother took everything away from him one by one. Starting with his mom than his dad. Follow Tang on the path to revenge. For this new born world is no longer a human world for only the powerful will strive. Let’s just say this world was tailor made for him for he will rise and become the Emperor of all.

When looking at Lianne, Astharos could see a new name above her.

Astharos hided his surprise very well, but he still could see a bit of pride on Lianne face when his eyes got big for a instant, like she was happy because her appretice discovered that she was amazing...
Speaking about names, it was possible to change the configurations on the menu to show one own name above his head.
For Outsiders, they could show only they nickname and not they 'otherwordly' name. The natives didn't have a nickname, but they could choice what they wanted to show above their head, like how Lianne was 'The Reaper' before, or the Goddess of Life.
There was also a option to show your name only to friends, and Astharos thought that Lianne choose to show 'The Reaper' for everyone so that her job there was more easy to understand, and Lianne only to friends. If you had high enough perception and certain investigative skills, it was possible to bypass this, but it was rare.
One could show their titles too, but only for some seconds and not constantly like their names.
'Legendary should be the rarity of her main class. Probably 'Reaper', since Reaper Apprentice is demonic.' Thought Astharos.
"Just for curiosity, do you have a second and third class too?"
Lianne nodded.
"Sky Dancer... Elemental Restorer... Not important now... read class description... ask any questions."
Astharos understood what she wanted. He opened his class menu and start to read.
[ (Class) Reaper Apprentice (Demonic)
Description: The God of Death have nine Ancient Reapers under him, every one responsable for a region of the world, and they can recruit up to five Reapers to work under them.
Be it Reapers or Ancient Reapers, they can only have one disciple on their lives, and you is one of the choosen. Lucky you ( maybe not ).
While this class is your main class:
+10% resistance to Neutral, Darkness and Ghost Elements, and also to any sub element that uses one of those as a component. This bonus increase on 1% every ten levels, up to 30%.
+15% damage of the Neutral, Darkness and Ghost elements, and also to any sub element that uses one of those as a component.
+10% Maximum elemental resistance of Neutral, Darkness and Ghost elements, and also to any sub element that uses one of those as component.
+15% Maximum Life, +20% Maximum Mana, +10% Strengh, +15% Inteligence, +15% Dexterity, +10% Resistance
Your Attack speed cannot go below 2.0
Immunity to possession, fear, crazyness, charm and instant death. ( Can be voluntary disabled. )
Your Perception and Focus is always at least half of your Intelligence.
Your Stealth is always at least a third of your Dexterity.
The bonus on movement speed that every point of Dextery provides is slight higher.
On Death, only loses 50% of experience. Cost for ressurection reduced by half.
If this class is your 2nd or 3rd class: All percentage bonus are halved, effects that increases based on level are nullified, and the debuffs immunities are substituted per 'Very High Resistance'.]
Below this explanation was the skill three. It was a lot longer than the Tracker one. It had a trident format, starting on three different points and ending on the same skill. Astharos noticed that those three paths are based on different elements, namely Darkness, Death and Ghost.
"What is the Death Element?"
"Sub Element... combination of Neutral, Darkness and Ghost."
"Sub Elements? What are those?"
"Book on inventory... 'Elements and Damage Calculations'."
"You can see my inventory?"
She nodded.
"I can see everything about you..."
'Why do i get the feeling that she is a bit Yandere?' Astharos shivered for a second, but soon put those toughts out of his mind. 
He opened the book and start reading. Just like the one about attributes and rarities, it was not very long, but a bit more complicated.
There are eight main elements: Neutral, Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, Darkness and Ghost.
The sub elements are created by the combination of two or more elements. For example: Fire and Water together would be the element 'Steam', Fire and Wind would be 'Lightning', and Fire and Earth would be 'Metal'.
Naturally, there are some rare elements that combine more than two elements: Neutral, Darkness and Ghost together would be the element 'Death', Neutral, Light and Ghost would be 'Life'. Earth, Wind and Fire would create the element 'Dust'. Water, Wind and Fire was the element 'Tempest'.
One could combine even more: a combination between Neutral, Light, Darkness and Ghost would result in a very rare element called 'Dream'. Earth, Wind, Light and Ghost would result on the element 'Mirage'.
The combination of Neutral, Fire, Water, Wind, Earth and Light would result in the element 'Space', and if one changed the Light for Darkness, would be the element 'Time'.
Void was the combination of all elements except Ghost, and if one added Ghost to the mix, would be the element Chaos.
The maximum elemental resistance one could have was 75%. Items that increased the maximum elemental resistance were very rare but, surprisingly, people usually don't care about them.
The reason for that is that it was already insanely hard to get 75% resistance on any element, and if you can get there, them those rare items that increased maximum resistance probably could be substitued for something better. 
If one can goes above 100% resistance, then he would be healed by the extra %.
The base resistance to any sub element was the average between the elements that were used to create them, and this made a bit hard for one to defend against.
On the other side, any buff that increased the damage of a specific elemental would also be divided, so if you got a buff that increased you fire damage by 10%, your lightning attacks would only receive 5% increase.
For damage calculation, a important detail was that every attack, no matter what element was, could dealt either 'Physical' or 'Magical' damage.
Astharos scythe has Physical/Neutral on the description, so his basic attacks deal damage on this type and element. Some skills like his Ethereal Blow ignores the element of the weapon, and deal damage of a specific element. Ghost in that case.
The math of the damage calculation was pretty simple: for the damage, the weapon damage comes first, added by any non percentage bonus from any font, be it passives, equipament or attributes.
Percentage comes after. The multiplier of the skill comes first, then from any passive and titles, and bonus from equipament comes after. Last there was critical, that could happen when using certain skills of attacking a vital point, dealing 1.5x damage.
For defense, % elemental reduction comes first, then % type reduction if there's any, then any buffs or passives that reduces all damage taken independent of the type or element, and finally, the numerical value of Physcal Defense+True Defense ou Magical Defense+True Defense.
In battle, the damage resulted would be attack ( after all the attack calculation ) - defense ( after all the defense calculation ).
The Ghost element was bit special, because it can only be reduced by Ghost elemental resistance and True Defense, ignoring the rest. Sub elements that included ghost are not affected by this.
The last important thing worth mentioning is that 'Elemental immunity' and 100% resistance were not the same. Monsters that have 100% resistance to something could have their resistance reduced by debuffs, but a monster with damage immunity would still be immune no matter how much you reduce his defense.
There are some skills capable of removing or ignoring immunity, but those were insanely rare.
Astharos finished the book in less than 15 minutes, making him wonder if there was really any need to separe all those explanation books in different books.
'Whatever. I better get out of there fast. those guys are probably close to the city.'
Looking at his skill three, Astharos read all the skills for the Reaper Apprentice. If one focused purely in getting the last skill, one could get there by spending 19 skill points on any of the three lines of Darkness, Death, or Ghost, but there are some branches on every path that would cost some more points if one wanted to max everything on a path.
Briefly, the Darkness path was more of a Physical stealth/assassin path with toons of CC, the Death path was more a magical path with a lot of AoE and damage over time skills, and the Ghost was more of a buff/debuff path with a lot of survival/sustain skills. In particular, Astharos was very interested in one skill of the Ghost path.
[ (Skill) Ethereal Displacement
Description: Puts the user body on a ethereal state for five seconds, becoming immune to physical damage, immunity to neutral element and getting +25% Fire resistance and +50% of resistance on all other elements except Ghost and Light.
On the ethereal state, the user is also immune to any CC, except those capable of affecting ghosts.
On the ethereal state, the user can only deals ghost damage, dealing bonus damage equals to the user Ghost Resistance. Other elemental damages are converted to ghost damage with 80% efficiency.
On the ethereal state, the user takes 12% of his maximum hp as damage per second, reduced by 0.1% for every 1% of Ghost Resistance.
If the time of the skill ends and the user is still inside something, he will lost 20% of his maximum hp per second, and this cannot be reduced by any means.
Cooldown: 20 seconds.
Level 1: (0/1200) ]
The life degen was dangerous, but the skill sounded very fun to Astharos. He would need to spent 12 skill points to reach there on the three, and the Ethereal Displacement was also one of the skills that were on a branch, so it would take more time for him to get to the last skill, but he didn't care.
For now, he just putted his skill point on the first skill of the Ghost path, 'Ghost Affinity', a simple passive that increases his Ghost Resistance by 10%, Ghost damage by 15% and increased his movement speed on +0.5 for every 1% of Ghost Resistance.
"Ghost path... good choice... same as teacher."
"Really? You could have told me this before."
She shaked her head.
"Didn't want... interfere... everyone... own path."
Astharos nodded.
"Thank you for everything, but i need to go now. My friends are waiting for me."
Four boxes appeared on Lianne's hands. One big and three smaller ones above the big one.
"Parting gift."
He smiled and thanked again, putting the boxes on his inventory. Before he could asked what he need to do to leave, Lianne grabbed his shoulders and threw him on the crystalline pool.
Strangely, he didn't feel like he was drowning, or even that he was wet. It was more like he was floating on a place with very low gravity. Soon, a white light covered his vision, and he found himself standing inside of a temple.

"Old friend, try this samsaric gaze, it should be familiar to you." Samsara Wild Ancestor roared with both of his eyes open. A third one emerged between them.

"Boom!" Everything disappeared afterward, only darkness remained in this epoch.

One wouldn't be able to see their hands in front of them in this place void of the light. This was an endless samsaric cycle of darkness. Challenging this power was a futile exercise.

"Rumble!" Even the river of time in this region was affected under the rule of darkness with its flow lingering in this area.

The emperors became alarmed after seeing this because they wouldn't be able to jump out of this particular cycle of perpetual darkness.

Just imagine, how many people could withstand and persevere in this darkness? One would turn crazy and become devoured by it. Emperors tried to imagine themselves in this situation and weren't certain whether they could defend their dao heart or not.

"Clank." Saint raised his sword against the dark cycle. He changed to a defensive stance while the light on the river of time gathered around him and turned into a fiery state.

The sword became a torch with resplendent holy light. It was countless times stronger because all of the light in an epoch had condensed in this place in order to illuminate the world.

The tides of darkness began their assault but peace could be found near this torch. 

The darkness might be terrorizing but the torch could reach the heart of all. It pointed the direction in the darkness, so that the wavering could have a clear goal and head for the light without becoming lost.

In this perpetual cycle of darkness, the torch was the symbol of hope. The emperors felt warm while looking at this holy torch. As long as it was around, the light was still present.

Saint became eternal while standing beneath this torch, unmoved by the waves of darkness. He kept on raising it to illuminate the heart of people. Despite being in the dark, he had jumped out of its shackles.

"Old friend, even if you can shine the world, you can't reach everyone's soul." Samsara said while looking at the holy torch: "If everyone in the world had a will of light like you, our epoch wouldn't have been destroyed. I am not the culprit, it is the darkness in everyone's heart and I simply added oil to the fire. There are no devils, only people turning into devils."

"As long as I'm around, so will the light." Saint was still calm while treading through the darkness: "Even if they have darkness in them, the holy light will still light up their heart to stop their weak souls from wallowing in despair. Even if they were to falter, the light will still be there in their lives! This is my meaning for existence. Even if I can't end the darkness, I'll continue to bring light and hope to others! I will never stop."

Saint spoke quietly but it struck a resounding chord in the listening emperors.

When the darkness comes, what would they pick against overwhelming power? If resistance was futile, why bother to do so?

There was no doubt that Saint had found his answer. Just bringing some color to the lost souls in the darkness was enough to not have any regrets!

"This is your most amazing trait, knowing that it is impossible yet still doing it. I can't beat you in this regard." Samsara nodded before becoming serious: "Alas, all will end today. You might be able to illuminate others, but not yourself!"

"Boom!" The darkness receded with an unbelievable speed. All was swallowed by Samsara's third eye, turning it into translucent darkness, quite an unbelievable spectacle.

This samsaric eye had returned to its origin, no longer distinguishing between light and dark.

"Buzz." The eye shot out a ray that was neither light or dark. It seemed to be a type of ray from the very beginning of the world, primal and pure without any affinity and changes. This tiny ray could cross through time itself and kill someone. 

The top emperors slightly batted their eyes because the most frightening thing about the ray wasn't its offensive potential but rather its primal origin. This was something that could shoot through someone's dao heart and remove their perseverance.

Saint's expression sank after seeing the ray and gripped his sword tighter in front of his chest. His wings moved forward in order to form a massive barrier.

The ray instantly made contact with the wings and loud shaking noises ensued. Their epoch's spot on the river of time was trembling as if a monumental change was occurring.

"Buzz." The ray pierced the wings and sword to reach Saint's dao heart.

The holy light suddenly flickered like a candle trapped in a storm, on the verge of going out.

With tiny noises, the strands of holy light began to extinguished, replaced by strands of darkness. However, it wasn't that easy for the darkness either. These dark strands were also flickering. Some died and were replaced by light strands.

This contest between the dark and light continued as a cycle. This was the power of the samsaric gaze, changing one's dao heart back to the initial state. In this situation, whether it gave birth to light or dark would depend on the person's perseverance.

There was no doubt that Saint's dao heart was of the light affinity. Thus, the gaze wanted to destroy this light and reverted the heart back to the origin. In the very beginning, of course, either light or darkness could be born.

This was the fundamental essence behind the current contest between Samsara and Saint. Despite the lack of violence, it was much worse than a battle with swords and blades. If Saint were to lose, the darkness would take over his dao heart. If he were lucky enough to not falter, the consequence would still be quite harmful.

After numerous cycles, Saint began to lose. More dark strands came out and the light couldn't extinguish them. The remaining light strands turned dimmed and could go out at any moment.

He opens his eyes but there was still only darkness. He feels the cold cement beneath him. His head throbs as he tries to regain his bearings. 

Shaking the fog from his head, he struggles to get to his feet and feels the sting of ropes digging into his wrists, holding him firmly to the ground. 

He feels the shadows around him move.

"Hello?" he says. The word catching in his throat.

"Hello?" he calls out again into the dark. "Is anyone there?" 

A voice comes out of the shadows, cold and hard as steel. 

"What are you thinking about?" the voice asks. The voice was calm but it sends a shiver down his spine.

"Hello? What the hell is going on? Who are you?" he asks as he feels warm blood drip from his hair.

The voice cuts through the shadows again, "What are you thinking about?" 

He struggles to force strength back into his voice as he pulls against the ropes cutting into his wrists. "What do want from me? Where am I?"

"Answer me!!!" he shouts into the black that surrounds him.

"Answer me," the voice shoots back. "What are you thinking about? Now. At the end."

There is a whisper in his ear, "Answer."

He whips his head around toward the voice  but sees nothing except  the darkness that seems to slither around him.

His eyes start to pull shapes out of the darkness, painfully adjusting ever so slowly to the pitch black world around him.

He pulls harder and harder on his bindings. His wrists begin to bleed as the rough ropes bite into his skin.

"Goddamn it!! What the hell do you want? What do you want from me?" he demands through his fear and pain.

The voice gently but firmly responds, "I want you to answer my question. What are you thinking about? Right now. At this moment. Now. When you know you're going to die."

A torch lights suddenly flooding his eyes with firelight. The light stinging his eyes. 

The newfound glow reveals the silhouette of  a small slender man standing in front of him still obscured in shadows. The shadows seem to embrace the graceful figure. He can't make out the face of the stranger but in the torchlight the figure's eyes glow blood red.

"Listen to me. You don't have to do this. We can figure it out. We can talk..."

"No....We can't," the figure hisses from the darkness. Behind the figure shrouded in shadows more eyes flash in the torch light. They seem human but barely. Several shadows begin to move around him never fully entering the small circle of light from the torch just circling around the edges.

A chant of whispered voices surrounds him, "Answer.... Answer.... Answer" 

The red eyes of the figure flash in the flicker of the torch. 

He fights to keep his breath and puts on his bravest voice to negotiate, "Is it money? Is that what you're looking for? Well, I can do that. Money is no problem. No problem. I can get you whatever you want."

The figure bears his teeth in a smile that looks more like a snarl,  "Money. Your answer for everything. Your money has no power here."

"WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!?" he screams to the dark figure. 

Only those red eyes pierce the shadows. The red eyes and  a calm voice penetrating the heavy air, "I want you to answer my question. What are you thinking about? Here. Now. At the end. Are you thinking about that next big deal? Are you thinking about that 401k? That beach house? All of those beautiful stock options?" 

From behind the motionless figure, a massive body steps forward into the light. His arms covered in tattoos and jagged scars. His long filthy hair covering his eyes. There is the glint of torchlight on the blade of his knife. The figure stands behind him in the shadows.

"Please...please. I have a family." 

The figure's red eyes soften. "Ah yes. There it is. Your family. The family you sacrificed at the alter of money. Wouldn't you give anything to see them again? To kiss them? To tell them you love them one more time?"

Tears stream down his face as he begs, "Yes.... my God. Yes... Please..."

The figure smiles gently. "That is the appreciation of life you can only get when facing death. That is my gift to you."

The figure nods and the massive man moves closer. His blade comes into the light.

"Please..." he begs as the massive hands grab his arms and the blade moves closer.

Suddenly the ropes binding his wrists are cut loose and the giant man moves back into the shadows behind the figure.

He blinks the tears from his eyes, struggling to make words come out. He finally asks, "You're letting me go?"

The figure shakes his head. He answers softly, "I am letting you fight." 

The knife drops to the cement in front of him. He looks down at the sharp unforgiving blade.

He slowly picks up the knife. "Oh God. Oh God. Oh my God." He grips the knife tighter and looks into the red eyes staring back at him.

The figure smiles again and says softly, "I am God."

Fear and adrenaline fill his aching body as he takes a deep breath.  He lunges forward with all the remaining strength left in his tired muscles.

Suddenly the shadows around him close in and slam him into the cement. He clutches the knife and pushes against the hands holding him down, struggling to reach the figure with his blade.

Sharp pain stabs through his body as unseen fists and booted feet slam into him from every direction. He let's out a howl of pain and rage as he lunges again toward those red eyes.

He brings the knife up with a final burst of strength and just before he can slash it down on the figure, a massive scarred fist crashes into his jaw.

A blinding flash  of pain fills his eyes and then the darkness collapses down on him.
