"Click"
As soon as the phone ended the call the information that I couldn't process at all earlier rushed through my head, simultaneously giving me a headache. The statement, "My name is Samantha Smith..." rang through my head. 
And the feeling of being the butt of some joke, that was only funny to the Universe induced the complicated  mix of shame and betrayal.
"How come you're so easy to fool?"  
"Many people have online persona's."
The rational part of my brain started to defend.
 "But how many people have their persona as her name?"
"I don't know. There could be dozens, millions."
It's true, There are many people who share the same name, people aren't born with names only unique to themselves. Names were found everywhere. In books, online, or from a relative. That's normal. 
"It's completely normal..."
 My head hurt from all the rational and Irrational thoughts that swirled in it and I slouched deeper into my sofa. The little green leaves  in my lap poked my stomach as I did. Reminding me that it was still in my lap.
"Sorry, I forgot you were there."
I fiddled with it's leaves for a while, before turning off my lights and heading to bed.

I had a hard time sleeping last night. 
Trying to puzzle together what I was feeling, "work through it". Like my psychologists told me to do many times before. I worked though it. 
Why was I bothered by this?
Why did I feel betrayed?
Why does the fact that she isn't Jasmine disappoint me? I knew from the beginning. I knew, but I still held on to that tiny slimmer of a hope that "Just maybe" gave me just enough to hold on to.
Jasmines last name wasn't even Star. It was Grant. Jasmi- Samantha isn't at fault.
I am.
The realization that she wasn't who I wanted her to be shattered the new safe world I was building around myself. Bringing me back to reality. There was no Jasmine. Just Samantha. Just a person online who just so happened to be close by when not even my family wanted to be near me. Just one person, who isn't Jasmine. But somehow became important to my survival. She was just there at the right time. Completely by chance. She had become a important part of my new life, and I didn't think I could let it go.
The thought of her not being online with her odd 'What-ifs' when I couldn't sleep has become a unfathomable thought to me. 
'Write a message'
The thought appeared in my head and I sat up, grabbing my phone off the nightstand. 
It was 3:00 a.m. 
  I finally understood why she would write such random stuff to me early in the morning. I stared at the message box. The bright light shining directly into my eyes and I stared back at it.
What do I tell a her? 
The insecurity that I didn't know her as much as I thought I did surfaced.
I shook my head trying to release the thought from my head. 
"Just read the messages that she sent you and you'll know what to say." 
I did that. 
I started from the beginning, and worked my way down. With each message I started to realize that I really didn't know her as much as I thought I did. 
 I was greeted by the small signs she laced into our conversations, signs that showed that she was troubled. The ones I either didn't notice or ignored thinking it was just weird before. The way she spoke about herself. Berating in a light manner, as if she was telling a joke. Saying that nobody cared so she just ate in her room alone. She loved playing 'what-if' like she was a child, trying to find a safe world to hide in, and the fact that she had a whole breakdown over the phone about something as simple as a name. Was it just that?
We both had our secrets.
Her's was just slightly well kept then mine. 
The courage I was trying to build up crumbled. Looking at the words she typed made me feel uncomfortable. 
"What do I say to her?"
I didn't know anymore.
I turned off my phone and laid back down. Samantha Smith was completely different from the Jasmine Star I was used to.

I think of messaging her sometimes. When I'm on commute to work, or when I'm just plain bored. But I don't. 
Time makes things awkward like that. I lost my timing. That ship has sailed, though I want to deny it. I still can't bring myself to do anything.
Time will only make it worse.
The best part is that she didn't contact me either. The feeling of mutual discomfort lingers, and I try to avoid it. I distract myself with my plants. They take up a whole counter in the kitchen now. They're all green and thriving. 
I also cook now. As messed up as my cooking skills were at the beginning of the year, I find it nice to discover new recipes and try them out. Though the dishes are far from perfect. 
 I even bought a Bloomsbury Dictionary. I've read a few pages and it surprises me how someone could like something so boring. 
It's been on my nightstand since. It's a nice way to put me to sleep when I can't.
My world has become quiet. 
Something I wanted for a longtime. A simple peaceful life. But it's different now.  It's been a year and a half since Jasmine died. Though some days I feel weighed to my bed, I get up. The love of my life was taken from me before we both even made it to the hospital. Someone called an ambulance when they saw her laying motionless in a alleyway. She was stabbed five times. Her bag and phone were gone. Which made police assume it was an "armed robbery gone wrong"
I could remember asking " Then why didn't they take her rings?" Her bag was a DIY tie dye canvas bag, and her phone wasn't even worth a hundred dollars.
I could remember asking in my torn up frame of mind. "Why did they not take the rings?" She loved those things. Though they were both worth significantly less than a single engagement ring her friends had, she refused to let them go. The doctors had to pry her cold hands open to figure out what she was holding.
"Just thank God this isn't another type of case son." One of the officers told me. Seemingly  mistaking my questions meaning. His dumb remark earned a stern glare from his partner, who was more empathetic. He carefully pressed the two rings into my hand. "She must've loved them very much." I shook my head silently. I didn't even notice when her family came rushing in. Just her father coming up to me and starting to shake the seemingly lifeless me. 
"I told her to not marry trash like you! You couldn't even protect her! You killed her!" Everything became a blur. I just remember someone dragging me off that old man. He never liked me since High school. But I always tolerated him. He was holding his nose and I faintly could see blood starting to drip from it. "You'll never see my daughter's burial!" 
"Are you sure you want to be saying these things to me right now Mr.Wright? I'm your daughter's next of kin. Not you."
I watched as her parent's faces changed to a deathly white at my insinuation.
"You bas-
"Stop it Ben! Just stop... both of you."
With that Mrs. Wright collapsed into her husbands arms and desperately cried for the loss of her child. I walked into the small room where she was laying, still and lifeless.

The next few months Mrs. Wright and I made arrangements for her funeral. By June 2013 I was watching Jasmine Grant, age 23. Getting lowered into the ground. To where I could never see her again.

Life moves on. Though sometimes we wish that some things could stay the same, most times they just don't. There are just some people who enter your life and somehow changes the course of what you thought was your fate. For me I thought I was destined to meet Jasmine and I was. But I wasn't supposed to stay with her until we grew old and watch our grandchildren from the porch, as they played. She wasn't supposed to be permanent, not physically at least. And I hate that. Some people are just there long enough to teach you whatever lesson you haven't learned yet.  What lesson did I learn?
I still have no clue.
Maybe the world just likes fucking with people and there are no lessons. But I try to be positive. I just didn't figure the lesson out yet.
I filled in all the pages of my journal today. I never thought I could write that much about myself. Somehow, I feel accomplished when I look at the filled book. 'That chapter of my life has ended.' is what it feels like it's saying. 'Life does move on.'  Maybe I'll go out and watch as the mall staff start setting up the shopping district for Christmas. Fuel this new hobby and buy a new journal, Maybe I'll go to that sea-side town and take another class at that florist shop. I don't know.
Although today may not feel no different than yesterday, It is just me, comfortably but not silently alone, today is still a day to remember.

"Someone I know has the same name as yours, but she died recently.... Are you really her?" 
When Samantha Smith turned 16 her parents allowed her to make her internet debut. Naive and excited to make life long friends she innocently puts in a fake name on her profile to make her self appeal to others. Little did she know that doing this she would change her world as she knew it forever. Starting with a man who claims he knows her and she is actually dead. Will she tell him the truth immediately, or try to save a complete stranger in the darkest moment of his life?

In the time it took me to outline this article I checked Twitter three times and my email twice. I responded to four emails. I checked Slack once and sent text messages to two people. I went down a rabbit hole of YouTube videos once, costing me about 30 minutes of productivity, and I probably checked my books' ranks on Amazon roughly 3,172 times.

In what should have been 20 minutes of work, I compulsively interrupted myself at least nine times. What's more, the cost of these interruptions goes way beyond the added amount of time to finish this damn thing. They likely distracted my train of thought, reducing the quality of my writing, thus causing a need for more edits and revisions. They likely created anxiety as I spent much of my distracted time anxious about the fact that I wasn't working and much of my time working anxious that I was missing out on text conversations, email threads, or news updates. They likely made the process of writing itself less enjoyable and caused it to appear more taxing in my mind.

These distractions aren't just unproductive, they're anti-productive. They create more work than they replace.

Chances are you go through this do-si-do yourself on the regular. For me, it's only gotten worse as time has gone on—which is strange, because you'd assume that my attention span and focus would be getting stronger as I get older, but that's not been the case.

I started blogging in 2007. I remember plopping down to churn out a 1,000-word draft being easy. I'd just wake up and do it and then go get breakfast. It was somewhere around 2013 where I noticed I was often interrupting myself to check Facebook or email. Then it was around 2015 where I felt it was beginning to become a problem.

I felt that I had to pay attention to my attention, that I had to focus on my focus. It was new. It wasn't something I'd had to think about since I was a kid.

By last year, these interruptions had become compulsive. I didn't know how to not distract myself anymore and had to go to great lengths to prevent it from happening. It felt like I was living in some kind of digital hellscape, where the process of doing anything significant and important seemed not only fruitless but also attentionally impossible.

In a word, Igor thought of his human masters as completely selfish. They were completely emerged in their own little worlds, and they always seemed to be oblivious to the real issues at hand. The earth could have been crumbling at their feet, but they wouldn't of even noticed.

Keeping in their own realities, having the world revolve around them, the Lennox family was just one example of a new money family in America. The majority of people became even more self involved then the past.

 It wasn't easy to find someone who wasn't a narcissist. 'ME ME ME.' Is what they chanted to themselves on a daily basis.

This was to the point that narcissism became a rare personality disorder because the standard for it had been scaled up very high. The newest DSM book had even revised the section for this drastic change in culture. The world had become all the less sane with the recent innovations.

 Since 2015, the world had gained the following: A smart phone with holograms, affordable flying cars, hover-boards, voice locks, genetic identification, chips with banking and identification data inside them that had been planted inside all humans, and most importantly, GenAlucards.

 With the ability to become completely immersed in a world full of connections, but, initially disconnected from real human interactions, was a double edged sword. People had become more withdrawn into themselves.

Less of them had 'true' friends, and more family orientated people came into existence. These inventions and the side effects of them caused the middle class to either fall into poverty, or become rich. The majority of the middle class, had become poor, whereas, the lucky few, like the new money Lennox family, became stinking rich.

The poor class was even more of a percentage of the country than ever before, not just because of the 20 million GenAlucards living in poverty, but generally because the poor stayed poor, and the rich just kept getting richer. 

With a limited socialistic capitalistic society, the less fortunate had to buy what was on the market and available to them, whereas the rich were able to acquire the best items that were not available to the general public.

The working poor had to go to poor schools with small budgets. College never seemed to be an option, and people only lived with their families unless they met an eligible bachelor/bride.

College became less affordable to the point that only the rich could afford it. With the government being greedy and the officials not giving a crap about the poor, student loans had become unavailable for the majority of people. That was, either that, or with such high interest rates that the poor could not afford to pay them off until death.

GenAlucards had a similar view of the world to the human low class. Their point of view was much more cynical, and just having food and a nice place to sleep was considered 'rich' to them. The GenAlucards had a burning hatred towards humans. They weren't discriminatory against humans, but were discriminated against by humans.

The GenaAlucards thought that the humans complained too much about their dire circumstances. 'First World Problems' was the silly expression they used to explain their situation.

In Igor's wise opinion, of being an elder to most other GenAlucards, he thought the poor were full of shit, and so were the rich. What a horrible race to have gotten control of us.

What he didn't know was that the humans controlled them because the humans were their creators, their gods. His masters seemed very unintelligent to him.

"Igor get me my mirror, I left it on the breakfast table again." The Lennox Mother commanded.

"Of course, Mrs." Why she had wanted to look in the mirror so much was beyond Igor. He rarely saw his face. The servants quarters had no mirrors. The only time he could tell what he looked like was when he went to a store with Mistress Maisie. When he saw himself all he felt was indifference.

 What could that being in the mirror be? Was it really him? A demon with crimson red eyes and burning red hair. A demon with a pair of large fangs and a brown tongue. A demon with a white face and white hands. A tall man with wings. To him, his appearance was bizarre because he never saw himself growing up, and all he had was the word of others that he looked nice. He only saw many other GenAlucards who looked completely different than the humans, whom had, normal average attire and their tan skin, normal shaded eyes (green, blue, brown, dark brown), and brown, black, or blonde hair.

Igor walked down to the kitchen and retrieved Lady Lennox's mirror. It was a small little pocket mirror with gold leaves carved into it. It read 'Mirror Mirror, Corp. Est. 1955.' What an old mirror, Igor thought. The date was March 20th of 2174. It was at least 200 years old. Igor wondered if it was a family heirloom. There was no way to find out.

 GenAlucards weren't granted access to the world internet or the Library of America. In fact, library screened people out at the door using a monitor to view the information about identity in chips inside people's necks and wrists. So, Igor was only left to find books where he could. The only places were the bazaar or in Mistress Maisie's library. She let Igor look at her books on the condition that he kept it a secret. Her books were mostly fantasy, but there were political books and economic books that Igor took an interest in.

Igor went up the stairs to Mrs. Lennox's room. Rapp- a tap tap. Igor knocked his knuckle on a big red oak door. Out came Mrs. Lennox wearing blue lingerie. A woman with no taste who wasn't any good at holding back her impulses.

"Here's your mirror Mrs. Lennox." Igor stared at the ceiling as to avoid her gaze and her look. It would have been awkward to see Maisie's mom piratically naked.

"Oh yes, thank you." Mrs. Lennox then slammed the door. Whatever those two were planning on doing in there went over Igor's untainted mind. He had an idea but made a resolve not to think about it.

"Have you seen my wife?" Mr. Lennox came up behind him. Igor jumped. He had startled Igor. Igor's nails popped out kind of like a cats. He tried to hide them. Luckily he was wearing a pair of black gloves.

"I believe she's in your room waiting for you."

"Hmm. Okay," Mr. Lennox opened the door horrified as to what he saw. His wife was even more of a narcissist then he was. She was looking in a five way mirror at her own body.

"Do I look fat, Harry?" Mr.s Lennox said, the most cliché thing a female would. Harry rolled his eyes and almost laughed.

"You know the answer to that is always the same no matter what the real answer is, so I shall give you no pleasure of me answering it." It was times like these Harry felt smarter than your average man.

"I suppose you think you're clever." Mrs. Lennox winked.

"Yes, dear, I do." Mr. Lennox picked up her hand and kissed it. Then he kissed her on the neck.

"Anyways, unfortunately I have to go to work, I just came by to tell you there's no chance I'll be coming home early enough for our midweek session. Goodbye dear." Mr. Lennox walked out, and Igor was still waiting by on the staircase in the case something drastic had happened because he had become suspicious something fishy was going on in the Masters bedroom. 

Igor was feeling a little aroused. His bat wings were tingling and he felt a new kind of sensation he hadn't before.

"Igor, please come here." Mistress Maisie rang on her caller. He had a little beeper on his black work pants and she could use it to call for him instead of the old way of just ringing a bell. That way he could help everyone else in the house when he wasn't needed by her.

Igor came to Mistress Maisie's rescue. Not that she needed rescuing or anything, but that's what he'd like to think of it as.

"I need you to drive me to my friend's house in the family car."

"Yes." He said.

Maisie hung around a protest group and not a single one of her friends weren't in it. She had become a political activist against the GenAlucard's enslavement, the poor becoming an even bigger population of the United States, and many other political issues. 

Her group, the White Angels, basically became the heroes for the poor, the GenAlucards, and the regular average joe of the United States. What was wrong with their way of doing things was the riots they caused and the people to have fragile mental states. Murder and arson always tended to happen after the preaching of the White Angels' leader Jack Smack. 

He filled their ears with sweet nothings and pleasant thoughts and then turned it around on them with the hatred in his heart, about what was wrong with the country, and how the government wasn't treating its people correctly, about how officials were doing their part to get elected but then were off to fulfill their own political agenda which generally comprised of taking over the world, or getting free stuff from lobbyists.

Igor was one of the only GenAlucards to learn how to fly a hover-car and be safe about it. The regular population of GenAlucards cannot drive and are not permitted to. It all depended on the clearance of the family and their needs. 

Igor took Mistress Maisie over to her friend Genevieve's (Gene for short) house and then was on standby. Igor wondered what she was doing in there. Mistress Maisie was naive about what the White Angel's real motives had been. It was a group to try to take over the government for their own gain. 

The government was on full tilt. It had no favor with the people, and they wanted to overhaul it. Full on anarchy was preferable to it.

After being on standby for two hours, Igor took a book out of his pocket to read. He begun to read 1984 by George Orwell. He found it in a closet buried in Mistress Maisie's room. Why she had it, he didn't know.  Since the date was interesting on the cover (Copyright 1948), and had been so long ago, he had wondered what it could be about. 

He liked to try to learn about history if he ever found stuff to read about it. He had no idea it was about a dystopian government with crazy socialistic views. Which was to him was all too much like his own world.

In the year 2175, Genetic Vampires have become the slaves of humanity. Igor is just trying to live a life of simple servitude, but his master's daughter 'Maisie' has other plans for him.

Sofia leaves his hair alone and goes back to cleaning his cut. Sofia puts the bandage on his cheek and sits down. She wakes up to Ren still out cold on the table. {Should I wake him up?} Sofia asks herself. She walks over to him and gives him a shake. She tries this again with no response. She hears his breathing intense and she tries to think what could be causing this and one thing comes to her mind. "Poison!" Sofia exclaims. She goes into the attic and goes through her books on medicine to find out what could be causing this and finds one thing. A poison that causes faster breathing, unconsciousness and after 6 hours... "Death." Sofia says. She brings the book downstairs and looks for cures. Sofia looks for cures but only finds one called Zaptallia Berry. "The Zaptallia Berry only grows on Zaptallia Bushes which used to be located in Japan but were cleared out in 2015." She reads. Sofia hears a groan and looks to the table where Ren is laying and sees him sit up. "What happened?" Ren asks? Sofia runs over and gives him a hug. "Thank goodness you woke up!" She exclaims. "Why wouldn't I be it was just a cut." "No! You were poisoned!" Sofia yells. {That sleaze!} "What!? What kind of poison? Do you know?" Ren panicks. "Yes, but..." Sofia sobs. "Theres No cure..." She finishes. Ren's expression deepens as he asks "What's the poison?" "The cure is only found in Japan and was cleared out in 2015 because the flavor was so exquisite. It's called Zaptallia." Sofia replies. "Wait your getting worked up about that?" Ren asks. "It says it causes death!" Sofia says. "Isn't that only if it isn't tended to with sleep and constant relaxation?" Ren asks. Sofia looks back at the book and now notices where it says that. {Phew} "Oh, sorry for overreacting..." Sofia replies. "Well I'll make us a snack and you should go rest upstairs." She adds. Ren nods and heads upstairs. Sofia makes some sandwiches and heads up to the attic. She finds Ren sleeping on the mattress next to a book {Ancient Yokai of The States} She sets a sandwich on a stand in the room for Ren and kisses him on the forehead. She goes to her room and gets on Facebook and sees a message from Klipp. "What would Klipp text me about?" She asks herself.

12th March, 2015

Tuesday (06:00 AM)

Dear Diary,

                       I woke up quite early today, excited to write further. Mr. Jansha was right it seems like, writing this down, does feel quite good. But should I write down everything I think about? just like I did right now, or just now...  oh yes, I was going to write about the December incident.

I wonder where should I start it.....would, from the beginning be good?....

meh! let's not think too much.

So, during my time of acting or trying to behave 'normal', as they would say, I started observing and realizing various things about myself and the others.

The interesting thing I observed or saw you can say, was that Mana was always following after Aran and would always stick by his side, cheering for him while we were playing, always taking his side if a quarrel occurred. I found her behaviour quite similar to mine so I thought that she was sticking to Aran like I was sticking to Shreya. 'Could it be that both of us similar?' I remember this question coming to my mind.

I asked Mana about it and for an unknown reason, she became shy, started stuttering and her cheeks turned slightly red and I became surprised! quiet shocked even. I couldn't wrap my head around that reaction and change in personality. I thought we were both similar, but that reaction made it clear that her reasoning for following Aran was something much different from mine.

I remember feeling sad about it. The reason? very dumb, now that I think about it. It was...if I can remember correctly....hmmm, more like a feeling of a disappointment than sadness. I was disappointed that Mana was not similar to me.

But that strange reaction stuck to my mind, I had never seen someone act like that. My curiosity grew and I asked Shreya about it.

After listening to me, her expression became dark and angry. Again I was surprised that always composed Shreya could show such emotion. My curiosity skyrocketed! 'What is it, that made these two act like this?' I wanted an answer to my question, I needed to know what made them change so suddenly? I pestered Shreya again and again, to tell me, to tell me why she suddenly became so angry. After constant pestering of nearly 10 minutes, she answered.

LOVE, she said.

love? what's that? it was the first time I had heard of it.

I became interested in this thing called 'Love' and asked the nuns about it, they gave me some storybooks with extremely happy faces and again I was surprised, 'This love thing, also made these nuns show an expression they never showed me before'. Now I definitely had to uncover this thing called 'Love' which made people show such vivid and rich expressions.

I read various books on 'Love' the nuns gave me and discovered various things like romance, kiss, confessions, Love triangles, sweet moments etc...  but the thing that intrigued me the most was this thing called 'Jealousy'.  This was the thing that made people do some pretty fun and unique stuff. Reading about this 'Jealousy', I also realized why I pestered my mother about father so much.

It was because I was apparently 'Jealous' of other children having this father thing in their life, why didn't I had this thing? that thought made me 'Jealous' it seems like and was one of the reasons among many why I apparently 'Bullied' them, no need to say that I also felt happy and quite ecstatic about it.

But now I knew, that it was the combination of 'LOVE' and 'JEALOUSY' that made Shreya and Mana make that expression.

I realized 'Jealousy' or more broadly 'Love' is quite an interesting little thing.

After that, I observed more and more children at the orphanage, in order to discover more things like 'Love' and see different kinds of expressions these children make during various situations and I remember having the time of my life doing this. It was the most fun that I ever had coming to that orphanage.

As I accidentally overheard many conversations and talked with children while acting normal, I realized what wonders correct information could do. By releasing this information in a correct manner, you can make people do things they normally don't and see expressions you can only imagine in your wildest dreams. It was like I am the puppet master, controlling so many children's life.

It felt good, it felt exhilarating, but most supreme was that I felt alive.

Excitement filled me every day, energy surged through me every day. Seeing those children behave as I want, make them act around my fingers, making them fight each other, contempt each other, hate each other...made me feel worthy.

I was making a change, I wasn't useless like mother told me, Mother was wrong. She was wrong about me, I wasn't an unwanted child.....I was needed. I was needed as someone these children could hate on, someone who would tell them the truth, someone who would shred their pretend friendships, their false relationships.

But writing about it...I wonder if all of these were just excuses I made. But excuses for what? excuses for me playing with children? excuses for me to feel good about myself? excuses for me to make mother words wrong? or something else entirely?

I don't know, but do I even want to know?

Hmm...anyways! I'm just 11 right now, there's a whole life to figure out these things. But coming back to the topic, so, while playing with all the children, December came.

Till now I only had fun with children who were not close to me so I thought what would it feel like if I did this stuff to my 3 close friends? Shreya, Mana, and Aran. My reputation in the orphanage was pretty bad right now, many children realized that the person spreading rumours and their secrets around was me. How did they discover? well, I didn't do a good job of covering up or hiding.

But thanks to that now I know that to do stuff like that again I would also have to cover-up nicely and make people not suspicious of me.  But anyway, I started observing my 3 friends more attentively while feigning ignorance to all the stuff other children talked about me. Acting innocent and docile you may say so that they would think again before doing something to me.

Where did I learn all this stuff? well, mostly from watching tv and reading books, but also my own experimentation, figuring out how they would behave if I acted this certain way or that way. The base of all this being the various ways I saw these children act in various situations, and from that figuring out the general reaction they would have to most situations.

Again, going back to my three friends. I observed that those 3 were in a 'Love triangle' with both girls apparently having 'romantic feelings' for the boy and the boy had conflicted feelings for both of them. He was indecisive, he didn't know which girl to pick. He felt that if he chose one, then the other would feel sad, he wanted their relationship to remain friendly.

But according to me, those were just various excuses he made. By not doing anything, he was hurting both of them. The boy didn't want change, the changes their current relationship would have in the future made him indecisive. Of course, the two girls were stupid too. They just thought that the fault was within themselves, and not within their prince charming. They were probably just blinded by their feelings to see the real picture and realize for what garbage they have fallen for.

Now while writing this, I once again realize how amazing this thing 'Love' is, making such complicated situations, making people so strange.

During mid-December, I think?  I saw Mana and Aran going somewhere isolated in the orphanage. As I was observing them, I suddenly had an idea. This thing couldn't go on forever, it was just getting boring or you could say that my patience ran dry.

I called Shreya to come and meet me where both of them have gone. While she was on the way, I hid somewhere near and just observed the whole situation or the act play out in front of me, from the front seat.

Shreya saw Mana and Aran being very close to each other, she started silently crying and just ran away. 'What? just that?' I remember thinking, feeling rather disappointed. But I also felt one other emotion, the one I haven't ever felt.

I got a new feeling of 'guilt' out of it.

After that, I researched what this 'guilt' is,  I didn't experience it when I had fun with other children so I guessed this only arises when you have fun with someone close to you. I realized if there is 'guilt' then there must other new emotions you can get by having fun with friends.

Next week I called Mana to the backside of the orphanage, but before that, I also called Shreya and Aran there. Again hiding somewhere near. I thought, what if nothing happened because it was Shreya who caught them. Reactions of humans differ, so there was a high chance that Mana being in the same situation can possibly act differently from Shreya. There is a possibility that she would do something more than just crying and running away.

And my Hypothesis turned out correct.

Shreya told Aran about the thing she saw him doing with Mana and Aran got panicked, he started explaining that it was all Mana's fault, Mana was the one who pushed him. Obviously, he was lying and even though it was so clear, Shreya somehow believed it and I just thought, 'WOW! how amazing is this thing called Love'. Making children so dumb, clouding their judgment to such lengths or it could be just that their actions had nothing to do with 'Love' and that they are literally just stupid and dumb from the beginning.

But as expected Mana came and caught those two red-handed, she saw them cuddling up to each other, holding hands and flirting.

And this time, Mana didn't disappoint. She immediately barged on to their flirting and confronted them. Strangely, again acting dumb, she went for Shreya instead of their prince charming and a catfight started.

During the quite entertaining fight between the 2 girls, Aran tried to calm them down but both of them just pushed him away and two of them just fought.

I got extreme pleasure and excitement out of it, I was witnessing the best show of my life. The best part being, it was all directed by me.

Sadly, it soon ended after nun came and stopped it after that the 3 of them got separated and never talked to each other again, probably realizing their dumbness. They also realized that I was the one who directed their whole drama.

Again, I failed to cover up perfectly.

After our separations, I became the most hated, scorned and feared existence in the orphanage. I got a very strange feeling of ecstasy from it, knowing that now nobody in the orphanage will forget about me for the rest of their life. They will remember me for their entire lives, even if as their worst nightmare.

My expression of 'Love' and 'Jealousy' became even more delightful as it was so easily able to destroy these children's relationships and friendship but I also got new feelings of 'Sadness', 'Higher Guilt', and felt shitty about myself. But the immense fun and enjoyment I got out of this, was just unforgettable.

'This is what it means to be alive' I remember thinking with a huge grin on my face.

I was at peace with myself, there were no conflicts going inside my mind. Everything was clear, everyone in the orphanage now had broken relationships just like my mother and thus I realized my true self.

I was not the devil those children named me, I was not an evil demon.

I just show people the truth.

I show them the reality they try to run away from.

I'm their benefactor.

I'm their Messiah.

"haaahh...haahh...fuu.. " just writing about it makes me feel so alive and good.

It's already 8:00 AM, better get ready to have breakfast with my new Family.

Mayuri starts writing a diary. She's writing everything that happens inside it.
Mayuri has a collection of Diaries, all of them filled with her thoughts. All of them filled with her love... For her Big Sister
Slowly she starts forgetting about the diary...but the traces of horror are still inside for someone brave enough to open it.

Chad was pretty happy with the magical contract that he had written up to be used for standard recruitment. It was quite reasonable at first glance, but under a bit of scrutiny, it was filled with loopholes in his favour. Even the company name was a joke and a warning. Mesopotamia was one of the first civilisations to legalise slavery under the Code of Hammurabi.

Pledging on their rights as a Magical human would see them only having what little rights a muggle had when they broke the contract.
Non-disclosure agreement would leave them unable to talk about workmates, where they work or what they do. Hopefully, it would also magically protect against Legilimency. 

No disrespect or violence towards Mesopotamian Inc employees or owners assumes that they are also under contract to respect you. A couple of people hired to annoy contract workers would see a few breaking the rules.

No derogatory comments or negative PR against Mesopotamian Inc. Honestly, who hasn't complained about shit jobs or employers over a drink?

No blatant shirking of assigned work. This and the 48 hours a week would wipe out a lot of people. Who hasn't had a bad day and knocked off early, took a long lunch or a cigarette break?

Will not break any Ministry of Magic laws while employed by Mesopotamian Inc. Who even knows them all?

There were no warnings or second chances, break one of the rules of the contract, and you were magically forced to teleport to a containment room. This would be the first place an employee was shown after signing the contract, a comfortable but sparsely furnished cell with bars. 

That it had Apparition and Portkey wards to stop you leaving and a stunning ward for those arriving would not be mentioned. That and the ninja elves that would be transporting the new slaves to a secure location.

The plan was a little convoluted, but it was also legal and above reproach. Sure, Chad could use Legilimency to make everyone loyal, but where was the fun in that? Not to mention that on a large scale, it was not sustainable. 

There were roughly 20,000 people in Magical Britain. To bring them all under control would need a method that his trusted minions could use without him. Chad sure as sh*t was not going to be teaching them mind magic and any magical could empower a magical contract, even an elf.

Since his elves would need a surname, Chad decided that all Peverell elves would have a last name of Domovoy. Domovoy, in Slavic mythology, was a household spirit and was loosely translated into a Brownie for the English equivalent. It would be the ultimate f*ck you to Wizards and Witches to be sold into slavery by house-elves, it sure had Boppy jumping around in excitement. 

Chad would need to recall a couple elves from Australia, but that would work out well, he could gain recruiters and receive a progress report on Australian operations since he had not heard from Crystal for a month or so.

Funnily enough, Chad could find no laws that would make his plan illegal, even with using illusioned house-elves as Mesopotamian representatives to witness and empower the contract. With another scheme that could not be traced back to him in the works, Chad had Boppy pop over to Crystal to get an update and bring back a couple ninjas for manpower. 

It took house-elves a fair few jumps to reach the other side of the world, but funnily enough, only seemed to make them tired for a couple of hours. A round trip shouldn't take Boppy more than eight hours to complete.

Next on his list of things to do was to work out how to magically alter the human body. Just from the Harry Potter books, he already had examples of the following.

It was possible to remove warts and blemishes.

Shrink, grow and straighten teeth.

Remove or regrow bones to different lengths.

Change hair length.

Use rituals to change/enhance/disfigure the body.

Heal open cuts and wounds with Dittany.

Burn-healing paste to heal burns/damaged skin.

Attempt to use the Mending Charm on flesh wounds can cause severe scarring but close injuries.

Phoenix tears have immense healing powers. 

So with all this evidence, permanently changing the human body with magic was a thing. This was not even including Metamorphmagy, Animagus or Polyjuice potions. But experimenting would have to wait until Boppy got back with more elves, Chad would also need him for researching as the internet was not really up to the task yet in 1985. Maybe it was time for a nap.

When Boppy returned with five elves, he had brought back a report that would make any Master proud. Not only had land prices been ridiculously low in the countryside where he planned to set up his Kingdom because it was basic farmland and bush, but Crystal had also somehow convinced the government to sell a lot of it in massive parcels of land. 

The fact that there were about a thousand privately owned farms breaking up the property from being complete was a minor matter. A week of Legilimency and organising all the farmers to meet up in one convenient place to discuss buying their land with cash, and it would be solved quickly.

Since he already owned the deed to some land, the elves took that as a sign to develop a vast underground complex as a future home/storage place. Literal tonnes of gold and piles of uncut diamonds were stored away by his eager little followers. 

Thanks to their short mining education, they had even taken other valuable gems and rare minerals that were found while hunting for their primary targets. The only problem was that it was late 1985 and prices were but a fraction of what they would be worth after 2015. 

Still, Chad was planning to store it all away for his rainy day fund, and with the elves mining everything they could find, prices were bound to inflate with nothing being introduced into the market. Africa was next on the list after Chad was satisfied that the elves had taken the valuable and easily mined gems and minerals. 

It would be even cheaper to buy up massive tracks of land in Africa, the only problem was the public safety of any company he built there. But that could also kill two birds with one stone, he could recruit from the local population, brainwash them, train and equip them and then have them secure the area while recruiting more! But that was for later. 

After Boppy returned and was praised for the excellent work of his elves, he was to pop Chad around to different universities and hospitals. This was so Chad could pillage every bit of medical knowledge that the best and brightest of the UK had to offer. 

He didn't even have to meet them, merely appear disillusioned in front of them, make eye contact, and copy their minds. Chad could have been gentle and scanned only for relevant information, but that would have taken a lot longer. Instead, he did what he did to Voldemort. 

Since the muggles had no defences, he invaded their minds, forced his will over theirs and turned the representation of their soul/mind into a holodisk. Chad then made a copy and released his hold over the original, letting it return to normal. 

This had the side effect of giving them a chronic migraine but with no lasting side effects other than head-splitting pain for ten minutes while their mind healed from the brute force attack. Not only was it quicker, but it was also way more extensive and captured every memory the victim had.

Afterwards was spent hunting down all relevant medical books and reading/scanning them into his memories. It was very time consuming, and coupled with filtering the memories from well-renowned doctors and surgeons in all fields, it would keep him very busy for the next year or so. 

Chad knew it was one thing to copy knowledge, and quite another to make it yours, but this was a subject that needed intimate knowledge. He was going to be changing the human body with magic, and any tiny error could have fatal side effects. Bubbles of air in the circulating blood can cause death or brain damage, who knows what losing focus while using magic to alter the body would cause!

While Chad was mastering medicine, Crystal spent every bit of cash that the elves had pillaged from around the world during the house-elf recruitment. Before Crystal had returned to England, she had travelled to Switzerland to open a bank account and then dumb all the different currencies into it. 

With the Swiss banking secrecy laws at the time, this was the safest way to launder money and made it a lot easier to buy land in Australia. But now she had spent it all and needed more money to fulfil her little master's schemes. 

Luckily, house-elves recruitment was ready for phase two, and another magical world tour was called for. This time she would be offering 600 galleons for a house-elf.

R.O.B was tired of reading about how Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore was the greatest wizard of all time and how he craps rainbows. 

He wanted to tear off the facade so that Dark Lord Dumbles is exposed for the villain he really is. To do so, he enlists the help of a like-minded geek and throws him into the body of baby Harry Potter when he was struck with the killing curse.

Marcus and his grandfather arrived home after spending a long time on the road due to the tight traffic. It was almost lunchtime when they arrived, so, Marcus could not be able to rest for too much time before his mother comes to wake him up. That's why he only took a shower and started watching videos on YouTube.


Marcus had two YouTube accounts, one of them being <The T-Ballers> where he had managed to gather about eight million subscribers. He just hit eight million subscribers a week ago and wanted to do some kind of video to thank the people who subscribed.


Since <The T-Ballers> has a weekly release rate, Marcus has never bothered about filming himself for other stuff except for basketball. So, he had no idea about what to do to thank the people who subscribed to his channel and gave him some kind of way to gain money that's not his relative's for the first time in both of his life.


Marcus started watching video clips of some NBA team's plays while thinking about what to do to thank his subscribers because of their loyalty. Every time Marcus posts a chapter on Saturday mornings, in only a week, that video will be able to have at least ten million views.




That's also one of the reasons Marcus was so entitled to thanking his fan base since he held loyalty into one of the requirements to be liked by him. He could not befriend someone that was disloyal to others since they might act the same way with him if he isn't careful enough.




Of course, there were still people who would be hating on his videos in the comment section, however, that was only the small minority and most of the other people would still encourage him to continue even when he lost.


From time to time, Marcus would post one of their team's 5v5 practice games showing how he would lose when Kiyoshi, Mizuki, and Daiya are on the same team.




However, people had never criticized him for that since they understood that it was cool to lose once in a while. Being in a winning streak might give you confidence but too much confidence might ruin your personality and turn you into a rotten person.


Marcus's fans did not want the same thing that happened to most of the social media stars to happen to him. Marcus understood that and that's why he held his fans into high regard.




Marcus continued gratifying his fans in his mind until his mother came into his room. Without hesitation, Marcus started asking his mother about how he could thank his fans for the amount of love they show him every day.




(Katrine): "I don't know! Maybe you should just do the best you can at what you are the best to show them, love!"




Marcus started thinking about what his mother said while getting down the stairs towards the dining room. The whole family was already sitting on the table and he had been the one they were waiting for before they could start eating.


Marcus nodded his head as a form of greeting to both his father and grandfather before he sat down on the chair next to his mother.




The group started eating as they continued chatting with each other. Katrine and Riku promised Marcus to come to see his finals the day after tomorrow and that made Marcus even more excited.


In his past life, his relatives have never come to watch his matches, so, to finally have a family member come to see him play in a tournament made him excited.




However, he could not hide the fact that he was also a little scared of not performing well during their next game but Marcus quickly forgot about it as he concentrated on the food in front of him.


He didn't like thinking about those kinds of things even though he always ends up thinking about it.




Marcus is a pessimistic person who always thinks about the bad things whenever a statement is made.


That's also one of the reasons he doesn't like reading or watching drama books or movies. He always ends up putting himself in the shoes of the main character and starts thinking about all the depressing stuff happening to him in real life.




However, he still can't help but watch or read them because of his curiosity.


In one way it is good since he learns about various things by reading those books, however, it also can be very bad since those plotlines would not leave his mind unless he watches something funny to wash it away or plays his favorite video-games and play basketball to stop thinking about it.




After their dinner, Marcus finally thought about something he could do to entertain himself for the rest of the day while feeding his desire of giving new content to his viewers. Marcus decided that he was going to be introducing his family members to the viewers.




It may sound cliche for most of the content creators, however, Marcus did not care about that. If his family members gave him consent, he would surely use their names for content.


Of course, he would not step over the boundaries and just give some basic information, he would not want outsiders to know about his family's businesses.


After Marcus found the camera, he turned it on and started filming himself with the selfie mode.


(Marcus): "What's up, world! It's your boy, Marcus from the <T-Ballers> but you can just call me Mark or Maya, whichever you prefer... 
Before we start the video, I wanted to say that I will be speaking in my native language (Japanese), however, there will be subtitles somewhere on the screen (It depends on the editor's wishes)...
As you all know, we recently hit 8 million subscribers on Youtube and I wanted to thank all of you for enjoying the content we try to make...
Today, I will be introducing the members of all of my family and try to show you something that is not about basketball for the first time. Who knows? We might even do a house tour while we're at it..."


Marcus started by thanking all of his subscribers before he went out of the room and asked his parents if they wanted to be on a video with him. They both agreed and Marcus asked one of the maids that have a filming background (She learned how to film in college before she dropped out because of tuition problems!) to start filming them.


The day went on as Marcus got good footage of him and his parents genuinely interacting with each other after the introduction. Marcus ended the video by making some kind of promise for when the channel hit 10 million subscribers.

He promised all of his subscribers that he would start live streaming as soon as he hit 10 million subscribers. It was 2015 and live streaming is starting to become popular around the world through live streaming platforms like <Twitch> or <Youtube Live>. 

Most importantly, his viewers would also know a side of him that they couldn't see through the weekly videos he posts on Youtube.

 Even though he did not want strangers to be overly familiar with him, he didn't mind spending some time online with the people that help him gain his own money. 

When Marcus started posting videos on Youtube, he never knew that he would have that many people following him and his journey to the top of his county's basketball scene. However, he still felt content as he read some of the comments under most of his videos. 

There will always be people that claim that watching him enjoy playing basketball like that made them feel a lot better and help them stay away from the dark side of their minds. Those kinds of comments always get to Marcus as they help him love the game even more. 

Marcus ended the day by filming himself playing some <League of Legends> with Kageyama, Claire, Maruo, and Kenji. Since they were all platinum ranks close to Diamond, they were quite good at the game and he got great footage of the plays and interaction with his friends.

Marcus gathered all the footage he had taken today and gave it to the editor for her to organize and create something enjoyable to watch. 

Also, he asked her to convey to her boyfriend (Daiya's father) that he should pile up all the footage they took during the preliminaries before giving it to her to create some kind of documentary out of it. 

Marcus ended the day on a good note by playing some basketball with his mother (for the first time) and started learning how to play football from his father before he went to sleep.

"I would like a glass of Penfolds Grange Shiraz 2015." Pierre said with a smug voice. Pierre sat onboard his private jet, headed from Geneva to New York and he felt amazing. He sipped the wine. It didn't taste as good as the 2012 vintage despite it costing $200 more. Regardless of this temporary setback, Pierre felt excitement. He would soon become the richest man on the planet and he would never need to worry about money again. 
Pierre had considered whether he needed to travel to New York at all. He could do all the trading from the safety of his home in Geneva. He had decided that his presence in New York was advantageous. Pierre was a control freak, and he couldn't relinquish control of the entire operation to Vladimir. He needed to be there himself. Pierre had invested billions in CFD-s and shorting the market. He had used the World Bank's money as a security for all the anonymous letterbox companies that he had set up. If the outbreak didn't happen, he would have lost most of the money that he had invested, and the entire world would come after him. Even with his heightened intelligence, Pierre would be in serious trouble under such scenario. 


Struck by his fear of failure, Pierre lashed out at his servant:
- 2015 is not a good vintage. Bring me 2012, now.
Servant:
- I am sorry, sir. We didn't bring any 2012 vintage. Can I suggest 2014?
Pierre: 
- 2014? I'd rather drink this cat piss that you served me. Go away. 
The servant rushed off without a word. 
Pierre felt remorseful. While he didn't mind the prospect of murdering thousands to enrichen himself, he shouldn't treat his staff like they were dogs. Such was the behaviour of that brute and simple idiot Jing Xi, but Pierre was a superior human. A superior human didn't allow minor setbacks to change his behaviour to that of a lesser animal. 
Pierre took out a few 100-swiss-francs banknotes and he got up from his seat. He walked over to his servant, and spoke:
- I am sorry, Michel. Your transgression didn't warrant such a brutish behaviour from me. Here is a token of appreciation. Buy your daughter Eva a present from me. 
Michel:
- Thank you, Pierre. That is very generous of you. 
Pierre:
- But don't allow complacency. We will return to Geneva in two days, and I need you to get me the 2012 vintage by then. Money is, as always, not an issue. 

Michel:
- Thank you, Pierre. I will do everything that I can, to satisfy your request.
Pierre nodded and didn't reply. A minor dilemma struck him. He didn't want his servant to die, but he worried that it would expose him if he warned Michel. He shrugged off the notion and decided that he could save his servant, while maintaining his alibi at the same time. 
Pierre:
- Just a heads up. I have heard that New York tap water is unsafe to drink. Only drink bottled water from our Swiss Alps while you are there. Take enough bottled water from the plane to last for two days.
Michel:
- Thank you, Pierre. I will.
After warning Michel, Pierre felt a bit worried. What if warning Michel would affect his plan? Pierre shrugged off the notion. A lot of people had warranted and unwarranted objections towards drinking tap water. As long as he didn't tell Michel, why the tap water was dangerous to drink, his statement would not implicate him. 
Pierre calmed down and took another sip of the red wine. On second thoughts, 2015 was a good vintage, even better than 2012. But he wouldn't tell Michel about his new conclusion. Pierre had already given an order, and for this command, Pierre was ready to live with the consequences. 
Pierre smiled as he anticipated his 'suffering' on the way home. Life could be worse!
