Lilia´s POV: 

"So why does an arch demon say that you´re his master?" I asked Clair. 

Here I am, in a luxurious kitchen with an ex-slave, an enigmatic being and an arch demon. 
Why am I in such a situation? 

Oh, right the answer is, because on a whim of the enigmatic being. 

Not even two months ago, everything was alright, I was a normal teacher at Turon Academy and my daily life consisted teaching and reading my books. 
I don't have a boyfriend, because most men are either too stupid or ugly. The good looking ones are muscle brains and the intelligent ones, would break like a stick if I hug them with a little strength. 

And then at the last day of the entrance exam I´ve met her. 
A young pretty elf girl, looking cute and fragile. I couldn´t have been more wrong. 

I was a little stunned as she said that she´s able to cast magic without chants, but other elfs in my home town can do the same. They are not as young as this girl but still able to do it. 
She then asked me, if I could write a spell for her. I seriously thought she is mocking me. 
But she said she don´t know any spells. So I gave her a Tier 5 spell, not expecting her to cast it. 

Against my expectations, she was able to cast it and came in my class, one of the highest ranked classes within the whole school. 

The first school week was a little noisy, as expected, I got a lot of comments about an elf girl with silver white hair. 
They said she´s a genius or something like this. I was happy, a new fighting power in our school tournament. But then she came to my house. 

Asking me if I want to be a magic tutor for an elf girl and life with them in her mansion. I was not against it, but I used this opportunity to get a few questions answered by her. 

But the following... I did not expect that. 
She told me that all of her skills are on LV 10, 10! the rank of gods. 

The next thing happening, was me fainting, how embarrassing. 

I woke up, in my own bed with a smoking hot elf guy right next to me. I panicked and began to conjure an attack spell, but my mana suddenly dispersed. 

And that the hot guy changed into Clair,... he transformed. 


Clair showed me her status, I looked over it, not believing, what I saw, when I looked once more, I still couldn't believe it. It took me five minutes to accept everything, except the attributes, they are just too high. 

She gave me a rune which stops me from telling something about her and answered my questions. 

And if it´s true what she said, then this is a great opportunity, to gain new pieces of information about a lot of things. 

I agreed to her terms, I´ll teach the girl magic and live with them in Clairs new house. 
And in return, get a lot of new books and a chance to learn new things. 

I think I was still stunned, but I did not think over the coming events and simply went to sleep after that. 

The days after that were... impressive, Clair was able to bring the headmaster to teach her magic up to the tenth Tier, build a whole mansion out of nothing and her cooking is godlike, if there weren't so much chicken. 

She eats it almost every dinner. 


This elf girl, Ilza is her name, was rescued by Clair, she´s an ex-slave. 
She has good manners but worships Clair almost as a god. Okay, I also begin to think about her more as a god like being then a girl or man or whatever she is. 
Clair has done something with Ilza and she´s now able to learn much faster than normal. I wanted the same thing, but Clair said I´ll only get it if I come with them after the four years. I think I will. 

She also employed a few maids, a gardener and a sword instructor for Ilza, they get a horrendous payment. 

Gerd, the sword instructor, is an S-Rank adventurer. He´s nice but underestimates Clair a little too much. He thinks she´s a normal young genius magician. But she also acts like one, at least she thinks that. No normal genius magician could build such a mansion. She said it was the work of her "brother" namely Dex, but she´s too good at school. I heard there already are fan clubs about her, many male students want to be her boyfriend and many female students want her as a little sister so that they can pet her. 

If they knew how Clair pets, they would ask to get petted. Seriously how good is she at petting, her maths teacher said she raped her desk neighbour by simply stroking her tail and I had to confirm her skills in the bath, on the hard way. She didn´t allow me to climax, it was a torture. 

She´s is nice to us, a little playful, perverted and likes to tease me with her "Dex" form. Not that I´m against Dex, he´s hot. 

But she also can be childlike, we were once on a walk, buying groceries and Clair spotted a playground. She said she´ll play, changed into a young male version and dashed to the sandpit. 

I could only sigh and sat down at a nearby bench. A few mothers came to me and asked me which child was mine. 

I couldn´t say that I´m only watching the children, so I pointed at "Dex junior" and the mothers began to chat about his cuteness.... 

She noticed my dilemma, smirked and walked over to us. She hugged me and said," Mom, can we go home?" her voice was overflowing with childish cuteness and the women began to scream in kyaa sounds and tried to hug him. 

She played the shy kid and hid behind me. Seriously she would be so perfect without her playfulness and partially brutality against her enemies. But no one is perfect and she doesn´t overdo it. 

And she matches my criteria, she´s strong, beyond believe, and intelligent. Friendly to us and other people in need and ruthless to people who may hurt her friends. She has a vast knowledge about science, biology, crafting techniques and many other things. 

She says that it´s mostly common knowledge in her world. 
I want to visit said world, but Clair says that it´s boring. 
I think a world without monster must be nice. 

I learned a lot about the women's puberty, as she explained it to Ilza, who´ve thought that we have iron and other things in us? 

She´s also rich, not that it is a large criteria, but it´s still good. 
Her female adult form is good looking, even though a little short. And her male adult form is hot, I mean seriously hot. I almost drooled as he walked next to me, as we bought the books. 

She held her promise and bought me books, more than I expected. I thought I´ll get at most 20 books, I mean they are expensive. But she bought over 7.000, a whole library. 
The mansions library is my favourite room, I love the smell of books. I think she built it just for me. 

Her male form is tall, slender but muscular at the same time, has a really, really good looking face, pretty green eyes and a voice... you feel like you´ll melt if you hear his voice. A deep voice with a soothing tone. 

Should I try to get him in my bed? I mean if he´s so good looking with clothes how does he looks without them? °Gulp° 

But it´s a little hard to live with her, she doesn´t have our common sense and almost everything she does is beyond said common sense, I mean Ilza said she built a whole village an afternoon. 

And at the beginning of this week she said she´ll visit the ground of the school dungeon. I´m at the point where I don´t complain anymore, she´s too broken for my normal thoughts. I don´t think of her as normal anymore. Then again was she normal from the begin with? 



A few students told me about the kidnapping attempt today, they met her in the dungeon and were stopped by 30 guys who were looking for her as they came out. 

30 guys are not enough if they want to kidnap her. Gerd thought otherwise. We were arguing as Clair came back, with a man behind her. 


Said man is the reason I recall everything of the last few weeks. 
Seriously, how broken is this girl, I mean an arch demon? One of the strongest beings on this planet? I still get the shivers when I think about it. 

True he doesn´t look like the demons out of the stories, but then again, it´s an arch demon. He must be able to change his form. He looks like a tall human with white hair. He has a good face, a little arrogant, but is polite when he speaks. 

I didn´t think much about it as he came inside with Clair. Standing right behind her, ready to strike at her neck. 

Surely even Clair wouldn´t be able to come out of a fight with an arch demon, at least not without grave injuries. She did say that she has beaten him, but that must have been a surprise attack. 


"Well I kinda freed him from a prison on the 100th floor," Clair said and brought me back to reality. 

"And master beat me to a limbless pulp," Drull said a little downhearted. 

"Ah yes and I beat him to a limbless pulp." She agreed. 

"A pulp?" I asked, not really getting what they mean. 

"Master cut my arms and legs off, left me alone and then came back, with a god in her pocket. All this in a few minutes, but she only took a few seconds for me" Drull explained, still downhearted. 

So she basically almost killed him and then found a god, okay.... 

"WHAT?!" I screamed and Ilza put her hands covering her ears. 
"You´ve beaten an arch demon in a few seconds and found a god?" I still screamed but not as loud as before. 

"Yes, it´s the god of space and void. And I used a skill, which doubles my stats." Clair said like she thinks it´s a normal thing to do. 

"Who is the god of space and void?" I asked, trying to get my posture back. 

"I´m able to conjure things out of nothing, thanks to him. He created the existence and I think the other gods filled it with things." Clair explaind. 

"So you have the god, who´s the reason for our exsistence in your pocket?" I asked. 

"Yes," Clair 

"Then why don´t you release him?" Me 

"Because he was sealed, he tried to destroy the existence and the high elfs sealed him," Drull said. 

"Who are the high elfs?" I asked. I´ve never heard of this race. 

"They are the forefathers of the elfs, they used their power to create the seal and their children became elfs." Drull further explained. 

I sighed, rubbed my temples and asked, " and what do you want to do with him?" 

"I´ll keep him in my inventory, he can´t do anything in there and I don´t want to kill him, risking the destruction of the existence," Clair said. 

"That explains your dungeon adventure but why are you his master?" I asked again. 

"Please let me explain," Drull began, " master fulfilled my conditions for a master-servant relationship. He did me a great favour, which I can´t pay back and has beaten me one-sidedly. 
So following my conditions, I´m now masters servant, as long as he lives or want me at his side." 
and finished with a bow in Clairs direction. 

So she got herself a butler. 

"I think I understand, please don´t do any trouble for us or Clair." I said, resigned.

The commotion of the new semester turned into a ruckus after a few days, which had then turned into chaos in the span of the first month. That is to say, nothing had changed at all during this entire month. Being in charge of first graders on her third year as a teacher proved to be a challenge for Hee Yeon Kim, but for reasons she could only describe as &quot;complicated,&quot; she had been forced into this difficult task. To say that her experience was lacking was a gross understatement, and it was near impossible for her to manage the ruckus that the first graders were creating. As such, it became somewhat of a routine for the teachers of adjacent classrooms to intervene and suppress(?)* the children of Class 1-3. Perhaps it was thanks to that, or perhaps the children had simply grown accustomed to school after a month, but they had reached the point where they would calm down just enough for class to start. Hee Yeon had to settle for that. Nonetheless, as soon as breaktime started, the children would resume their chaotic commotion, filling the halls with their voices as Hee Yeon sat next to the window, her head in her hands in an attempt to withstand it all.

'If only they had gym class all morning long…'

But if that were the case, then she would have to be on guard, looking out for potential injuries, which would then cause even more of a psychological strain on her. In her current state of mind, however, she wished for nothing more than to escape from all the noise. When she looked up towards the classroom again, she realized that she had to say something.
&quot;Jihoon, you can't stand on the desk. You'll get hurt!&quot; She warned in her strictest tone. &quot;Heejin, don't get so close to the window! Get down from there! There, in the back! Stop running! What if you fall over?!&quot;
Even in the midst of all the chaos, she couldn't help but notice one of her students sitting quietly, in the middle of the row next to the windows. He had become the talk of the school due to his good looks, and he was the one exception in this classroom of constant cacophony. The boy was always reading. He mainly read textbooks, but sometimes would bring in children's tales from somewhere and read those. During class he would always look at her with bright eyes, listening so intently to what she said that she felt almost awkward under the pressure, but it was thanks to him that she felt proud and satisfied to be a teacher. After all, there wasn't a teacher alive who disliked diligent students.

The boy paid no mind to his teacher's rather open observation of him and just kept on reading. He was quite happy with his current lifestyle. The classes taught him new things every day, satisfying his intellectual curiosity, and every day, the knowledge he gained from his textbooks surprised him. Reading and reaching an understanding of the material in the textbooks, regardless of the curriculum, filled the boy with an almost euphoric kind of joy. This was especially true for afterschool math class, which made him feel jittery. He derived an immense sort of satisfaction with every problem he solved correctly, and as his knowledge increased, he almost felt as if he could organize his thoughts concerning his confusing circumstances.

Just as the boy was about to immerse himself in the joy of studying, someone tapped his shoulders. When he turned around, he saw that it was Jihoon. Though only a month had passed since the start of the new semester, Jihoon already stood out from the rest of the class. To put it nicely, he was a very lively child, but in reality, he was closer to a menace. He could not bring himself to sit quietly during lessons, sprinting out of the classroom to go to the restroom (and if the teacher chased after him, he would always run away with a huge smile on his face, as if he was enjoying a game of tag), and during break time, he would jump from desk to desk, like an action maniac who delighted in the thrill and excitement of dangerous activities. He was also very creative, always coming up with new ways to make the girl who sat next to him cry. All this caused the other kids to practically line up to join Jihoon in his &quot;games,&quot; and he had become infamous within the parents' SNS chatrooms. However, being the only son of a prominent family, no one could really touch him, only increasing the frustration of the victims'(?) parents and homeroom teacher.
This same Jihoon had just approached the boy, apparently nominating(?) him as the next victim, but the boy simply looked at him wide-eyed as if he didn't know what was happening. Jihoon had his back to the group of students who followed him and looked down at him. &quot;They say you look like a plaster cast,&quot; he declared arrogantly. What did that even mean? &quot;My mom saw my sister's drawing and she said it looked like you. That's what a plaster cast is. You're plaster.&quot;

The boy went blank at Jihoon's words, confused at the utter lack of context.

Jihoon was actually referring to a bit of a hot topic among parents for a brief period of time. During the entrance ceremony, the parents had discussed the boy's outstanding looks, and someone had mentioned that he looked &quot;statuesque.&quot; Following this comment, the parents of a student preparing for art school had brought up &quot;Julian,&quot; one of the plaster cast busts used as a drawing model. Of course, parents quickly fell into a typical SNS conversation, adding that their own children were just as pretty, or whose children had better looks, but it appeared that their talks of plaster casts had reached Jihoon's ears. However, being completely unaware of this whole situation, the boy sat there dumbfounded.

&quot;He's plaster face now.&quot; Said Jihoon again, almost triumphantly. At these short, nonsensical words, the students began to clap and laugh uncontrollably. Perhaps the boy's blank expression and reaction had somehow struck them as funny. Following this relatively small incident, the boy had gained the nickname &quot;plaster face,&quot; and when Myeong-su, who was in the classroom next door, found out about this, it became his nickname at the institute as well. When the teacher heard of this, she thought it was rather cute, but she was also concerned that the boy's feelings were hurt by the nickname. It wasn't uncommon for children to feel upset at nicknames they did not like and lose their spirits.

However, the boy paid no mind to it, partly because he wasn't sure whether &quot;plaster face&quot; had enough of a negative connotation to feel upset over it, and partly because he thought it was better than what they had called him back at the peasant town. They had taken to calling him &quot;scrofa**&quot; due to the fact that he scavenged in the forest all day, or just &quot;boar.&quot; Rather than being compared to a pig, covered in mud and oinking all around the place, he preferred being compared to plaster.

With the approach of summer, the weather had reached the point where the impatient few had already begun to wear short sleeves outside. Volunteer workers still visited the institute every so often, now that the tough weeds sprouting through the lawn of the yard had grown enough to injure to the children. Though they were promptly eradicated by the volunteers, the teachers still had to warn the children to not go into the grass.

&quot;We'll be off!&quot;

The elementary schoolers shouted out as they got off the institute's van, cheerfully waving to the teacher sitting in the driver's seat. Among the children walking to the gates of the elementary school were the two first graders, Myeong-su and the boy, one third grader, one fifth grader, and two sixth graders. The sixth graders were very composed within and without the boundaries of the institute, and the third and fifth graders followed their every step. True to his status as a carefree, energetic first grader, however, Myeong-su ran into the school grounds, dragging the boy by the hand. The older children did nothing to stop them. Rather, they looked wholly uninterested, their steps seemingly much heavier than those of other students. But Myeong-su was too excited to pay attention to such things, and he just kept on running with the boy, who ran along like a leashed puppy. Though it looked like the boy was forcing himself to go along with Myeong-su, he was actually having just as much fun. He had recently discovered the existence of the school library and was ecstatic at the thought of feasting upon the mighty(?) collections of books within. The fact that all the children from the institute took the van to get to school meant that the boy always arrived before his classmates. Once in the classroom, he left his bag at his seat and headed straight to the library.

&quot;You're first again.&quot; The librarian had just started to open the library, and the boy greeted her, a gleeful smile on his face. &quot;You can go right ahead.&quot;

Having been granted permission, the boy bowed once again to the librarian, who was making her way towards her desk, and ran into the library. The musty scent of the books that had collected overnight filled his nose, and it almost felt sweet to him. He chose three books to read for that day, all relatively thin. His knowledge and comprehension were still not advanced enough for him tackle thicker books, causing him to always reach for the thinner books, meant for the younger students, without caring for their content. Such books mainly came out in series, so he had made it a habit to just go through the books series by series. Though the boy might have been unaware, children's books were not necessarily limited to just biographies and fairy tales, but also included illustrated classical literature and economics, which were enough to satisfy the boy's thirst for knowledge. Thanks to this, he had been able to catch up on his past seven years of no education and quickly learned about the systems of this world, as well as the social environment he was in.

He was also able to fully concentrate on books because they provided an escape from all the sadness and despair that came from being thrown into a completely new society and lifestyle. Or rather, he had no choice but to fully concentrate on books. His memories of the past still haunted him, no matter how much time passed.

Once the teachers' morning meeting ended, Hee Yeon went back into her classroom. Her students, who once seemed like water in hot oil, now felt like powder filling up a lidless blender. Though she had no way of knowing when the blender would turn on and scatter the powder everywhere, things were under control as long as she kept a watchful eye on the switch.
Because classes had not started yet, the switch seemed to be half pressed already, though the students attempted, if only a little, to quiet down when the teacher had walked in. Only Jihoon, apparently still in hot oil rather than the blender, spoke loudly to his friend, while the rest of the students remained in their seats and murmured to each other. The children had no way of knowing that their collective murmurs let to a very loud ruckus. Only one student, called 'plaster face' by the other kids even though he looked more like a 'Julian,' paid no mind to the noise and silently read his book. After almost a full semester of knowing him, Hee Yeon thought that he was possibly in the school's top ranks when it came to concentration and attitude towards learning, and though he hadn't stood out that much at the beginning of the semester, he had started to show great improvement in writing composition and math. When the teacher in charge of the afterschool classes spoke to her about the boy, complimenting him greatly in his skills, Hee Yeon's expectations of him had grown even more. Looking at him now, reading his book, it was hard to imagine that he was from an institute.

Just then, the bell rang out, signaling the start of classes.
&quot;Well then!&quot; Announced Hee Yeon. &quot;We'll begin class. Do you know what's for first period?&quot;
&quot;Family learning!&quot;

Hee Yeon smiled despite herself. The students seemed like small birds all singing together. Then she met eyes with 'Julian.' Though she was unsure when it had started, she definitely felt that family learning classes drained her the most, especially when looking at those eyes, filled with such sorrow. The teacher of three years couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt whenever she met those eyes, and she didn't even know why.

Mei Ling was getting ready, her luggage was already arranged she just had to put it in her car and she can go to the airport, but she just got a bit uneasy, the confident and successful Mei Ling was gone, it was as if she was just replaced by a teenager experiencing her first love.  

 

She didn't know how to react, should she just act as if the proposal never happened? Or should she outright refuse him or even acc-accept him?  

 

"Little Mei, it's late already, shouldn't you go?" Mama Mei's voice was loud as always.  

 

"Yes, yes" Mei Ling left her room, and quickly got outside, wore her shoes with her baggage and opened the trunk of her newly bought sports car.  

 

She bought it after she saved up money for nearly 2 years, it made her proud, she always felt that this car was the most comfortable, she dreamed of having this car since she was 5, it was the car that her father once drove.  

 

"Bye Ma" with those words Mei Ling drove off to the airport, but she still felt a bit nervous about what she will have to do when she will be in front of her boss.

Jack was also a bit nervous, His plan should be a success, after all, it was based on the advice his father gave Jack. He first prepared a 'romantic lunch', then after the business deal, he prepared a tiny vacation with Mei Ling, it should be 'romantic'.

He didn't know if he should ask for advice online, he never asked for advice for anything, he was the kind of person who will never turn to someone for help, well except his grandfather. He was the kind of person who will search for an answer in books so he bought books.  

 

"Richard, Eric is everything ready?" Jack with his icy cold indifferent voice asked his Pilot and attendant.   

 

"Yes, Sir Everything is ready, we prepared the Jet" Richard answered Jack. 

 

"The romantic things are ready?" Still with the same indifferent voice. 

 

"Yes, Sir" Richard face twitched a bit while thinking of the order the boss has sent him, this morning at 2 am.

 

"Bring me a coffee"  

 

"Yes, Sir" Both Richard and Eric left the room.  

 

Eric was younger than Richard, he was hired as an attendant, he got blonde hair with a stylish hairstyle, he had blue eyes. And he was strikingly attractive. Richard was older his face was bit stern, but same as Eric he got blonde hair with blue eyes, he served as a pilot for the father of Jack Adler originally, but after John Adler's death he took an important decision, he didn't want to choose a new client so he selected the son of his old client as his new client so he was chosen to be the private Pilot of Jack Adler.  

 

His bet wasn't in vain since the young Jack Adler successfully inherited Adler Corps.  

 

Eric whispered to Richard while they were making the coffee for their boss: "Oy, Old Rich, the Boss does he have a mistress?"  

 

"Stop talking nonsense, and go prepare the cockpit we must take-off at 9:15 am" Richard was saying as if the reproach the young man for gossiping. 

 

"But, the Boss never had a mistress, aren't you curious Old Rich" Eric whined at Richard he had an expression which wrote 'You really know no fun'.  

 

"Stop being gossipy, Miss Mei will soon come, as soon as she is on board we must take-off" Richard wasn't even looking at Eric doing his tantrum.  

 

At the moment Eric was looking at Richard as if Richard was an idiot. 

 

"Old Rich, there will be only 4 people on this flight, and the only woman being the Head secretary, who do you think this romantic atmosphere is for?" 

 

Richard started a coughing fit when he heard what Eric as said then he turned his head and saw the obvious look of Eric.  

 

"It can't be right?"  

"Who else?"  

 

At that moment the sound of engine outside could be heard as a car made its way beside the Jet.  

 

"Go prepare" Richard stared at Eric as he ran to the cockpit.  

 

Mei Ling with her huge baggage appeared at the door of the Jet.  

 

"Ahh Chilly, Eric get me hot chocolate milk thank you" Mei Ling dropped her baggage in the cabin and took out a stack of paper from a baggage.  

 

"Sir, I have prepared the contract for the Kazoku Corp" Mei Ling tried her best to remain professional but once again she nearly lost herself when she looked at the seductive eyes her boss made.  

 

She was then dumbstruck because it was the exact same eyes, he didn't do anything he just stared at her and she just lost herself in those two deep black pools.  

 

Jack saw Mei Ling enter the room with a stack of paper and talking but not one words entered his ears, only one thought was present inside his head 'Beautiful' and he just stared at her face. Then he saw her face turn red, she blushed until the tip of ears turned red, oh damn, is she seducing me? She is, right? It should be forbidden to look this cute.  

 

Mei Ling felt extremely awkward as her boss just stared at her without responding to her. She knew that he was a man of few words but right now she couldn't help but stare back into his eyes and just slowly lose herself, she felt her face turn hot under his stare. Ahhh she wanted to run away and hide.  

 

Why? He always stares at me like this, since when did his stare do me this?! It should be forbidden to have eyes like this!  

 

"Sir, Miss, Coffee and hot chocolate for you" just when she was about to escape, Eric's voice brought her back from fantasy land, she sighed a sigh of relief and made mental note to thank Eric later.

Grandson to Grandfather:" Don't worry, I will find someone myself"

Back in his good mood, he went out of his room for the library. He noticed some of the maids blushing when they looked at him.

I won’t make an empty promise about a fixed number of chapters but it's the first time I write something, so don’t expect too much xD

after eating their breakfast Mado asked them if they picked their things yesterday, shira and norame nodded there head.

Mado walked to Kota',s mom and told her that they will leave the rooms that they booked, and told her that they won't take the reminder of the money, and let them as tip cuz he liked the service in this place, she didn't reject it, there is no person will reject free money, only if he was crazy or have endless wealth like Mado. 

"mira-chan you don't need to worry about anything about the house, I can give you anything." Mado told her that he can made anything she want in the house.

"ok let's move" Mado walked out with them he had noticed many gazes on them so he used some magic to made a barrier to made the people ignore them.

he turned his head to the girls and told them to came there's a short way.

he walked in tight like the one that mira had been attacked at, he felt someone hold his left hand when he start walking in, it was no other than nina who was still afraid of what happened last night. 

when Mado held her hand back Nina felt really happy and felt safe with him.
 

"mado-sensei why did you bring as here" shira asked.

"just wait, you'll see" Mado didn't fell anyone was near her so he start, Mado can teleport them with easy but he want to try another way to use teleportation.

Mado moves his right hand as if he was opening a door, after that he pushed the air, the space in front of them had opened as if it was a door.

Mado turned to them and said with smile "ok come in we have reached the land.". 

they didn't now what to say, they was surprised and confused they have never seen something like that.

 they entered the portal, when norame who at the back entered the portal closed itself.

when they saw themselves in empty land the couldn't help but asked about where the house is, and they where surprised when Mado answered them that he will build it after the other come.

Mado snapped his fingers and a table with five chairs had appeared in front of him he looked at the girls and said.
"come and sit we will wait the others".
they sat there and looked at mado who was doing something with his laptop, nina asked mado what the laptop is, mado told her that the laptop is his magic game.

she didn't understood what mado mean but didn't ask him anything after that cuz she saw him focusing in what he was doing in the laptop.

mado was drawing the architectural drawing of house, he want to show it all his students.

after that will make an application and give it to his students, in this application the will design there rooms before entering the house, that will help mado to made there rooms immediately.

(Note: I changed the lands area, it is now 5712 m², 51 m the right and the left sides, 112 m the other two sides)

mado start drawing a house on the  m² land area, the house have Π shape, he was thinking about making two floors the first one where he will build a kitchen, dining room in the right side, 2 hot springs in the front side and 2 deferent training rooms in the left side. he also drew a boxing stage facing the hot springs and the kitchen, and after enede of drawing the first floor he start drawing stairs to the second floor, one on the right side and one on the left side. 
he decided to made each room 6×6, and drew 6 rooms on the right and the left sides, and drew 12 room in the front side and dividing between this 12 room a living room have the size of 8×6. 

Mado planned to made the space bigger on the rooms and change it from 6×6 to 20×20 to each room, and for the kitchen he won't change anything in it, but the dining room will be change to 20×20 he will put 4 tables each table can take 6 persons, the living room will turned to 10×10 there will be two big sofas, 4 middle size ones, a large television  and the hot springs and the training rooms Mado will change not only the size but also he will made a mini-dimension in them.

the hot spring room will have inside it an open air hot spring, with a size of 30×30

the training room on the right have three button near it the first one have a fire shape, the second one water shape and the last one wind shape.

the training room on the left is a mini-dimension with 24000 m² area. 
and lastly Mado start drawing the normal rooms, he was going to put a bed with 3 m length and 2 m width, and there's a big bookshelf Mado will put some books in every single room, and big cupboard too, and he thought about putting a table with a comfortable chair they can read the books on, and lastly he Mado a space of 10×10 bathroom, there will be a small hot spring in every each room, and the normal things that in bath room washing machine, bathtub , toilet and so on.

Mado done with the drowning, he took a deep breath and looked around him, he saw all his students with mira ,Nina and haruka was looking at him with amazement when they saw what he drew.

Mado smiled and said "what do you think…?". 

"this house is amazing, unbelievable it's just can't be described by normal words" nasawa said excitedly with happy tone since she know that she will live in this beautiful place.

"put your phones on the table and mira-chan, haruka I'll give you a phone too" Mado said
they all put their phones on the table Mado snapped his fingers and another to phones appeared on the table Mado connected them with his laptop and put the application that he made in all the phones, and gave it to them, after that he start putting the basic things on mira and haruka new phones.

"here, your new phones" Mado said to mira an haruka.

he start explaining about the how to use the phone to mira and haruka after that he told them to don't hold back and design there rooms as they won't.

and told mira to get Nina anything she want.

she agreed and looked at her new phone while trying to design her room.


Mado was waiting the to end designing, but after few minutes he remembered that he didn't inform the principal that the S class won't came to the school in the next 3 months.

The weather feels so nice here. Since it is autumn is about to end and Winter is going to come, it was gradually getting cold as days passed by.


I am doing fine although I am still trying my best to adjust to this academy. As usual, my desk was filled with multiple letters and baked sweets as soon as I entered the room. Some of the letters were invitations to their tea parties or ball and such. How bold of them.


I have learned so many things here including learning how to use and chant some basic spells although one of our classmates wasn't able to control their mana properly and an accident occurred. Don't worry, it was just something small and nobody was injured. It was just a small mistake, it's not like those kinds of things don't happen when you are trying to use magic. I am eating the baked sweets that were given to me as I wrote this letter, I couldn't help it. It's delicious and tasty, no wonder you and Brother Calixander likes sweets.


Speaking of Brother Calixander, they would come and visit me in my dormitory. Thankfully, my roommate was Brother Gilbert because we get along well. It if was Brother Chandler, I guess our room would always be a battlefield. You know that we don't mix well together, I was water and he was the fire. But it's not like our relationship was still the same as before, it gradually improves and we became close to each other but the bickering was still there. Brother Calixander would stop us if it goes overboard while Brother Gilbert would just watch us bicker or would just mind his own business and read a book.


I apologize but I might not be able to reply to your letters that much as I suddenly became busier, there is this exam that will determine what our grade will be and how well we did this year. Alexandra just returned to her room after eating dinner with her father and after she took a bath. Diana was still inside her room though and waiting for her to go to sleep before she leaves. "Would you like me to bring you a glass of warm milk or hot choco, young miss?" Diana called out to Alexandra as soon as she noticed that Alexandra finished reading the letter. Alexandra looked up to Diana and met her gentle and warm gaze, Diana was just standing beside the desk. A smile was graced upon her lips and Alexandra smiled back before she responded.


"Hot choco, please," Alexandra said before she returned her gaze to the letter that she was holding. Diana nodded and walked towards the door to leave the room and get her a cup of hot choco. The night was getting cold after all and it's not that bad to drink a cup of hot choco. It was perfect with this kind of weather. Alexandra stared at the letter and re-read it again as she thought of what she should respond to.


Christian's letter is long as usual but it's not like Alexandra hates it rather she was happy. The longer his letters are, it feels like Alexandra was talking to him personally. He talked about his life in the academy and what he was currently experiencing, it looks like he was having a hard time but he was also having fun. That's good, she thought to herself.



Alexandra went to school before but she stopped after a year when her relative died, the one who accepted her and took her in. It was hard but she had fun although she only made a few friends and she barely remembers their names now, it's not like they did something big in her life but they were still her friends. Alexandra let out a sigh and she put aside the letter, placing it inside the drawer of her desk. She was inside her room, it was bigger than her room in her palace even though her previous room almost occupied the whole floor. That's probably why Calixander thinks that her palace was small and it wasn't enough for her.



This room that she is currently in, it was hers in the beginning even before she was born. They already prepared this room for her but since they were expecting a boy, the wallpapers and decorations of it before were clearly for a boy so they have to change it to the one that would suit her and her taste. There were a few vases of flowers that were seen and along with it were the withered flower that blooms into different kinds of flowers every day was seen. It was placed beside her nightstand on the left side of her bed.



There was even a door that leads to a small library in her room, it's not as big as their private library in this palace or the library back in Wistalia Palace, it was just the right size for her and she can spend her time reading there if she can't sleep. That room was supposedly not a library but rather an office or leisure room but since Alexandra likes books and reading, they decided to turn it into a library filled with all the books that she likes and will like. The books were all new.



Along with that, her father asked Diana to buy Alexandra's new dresses even though they didn't take her out nor asked a professional to come to the palace. I don't know how they did that, all my dresses fit me perfectly, she thought to herself. Well, it's not like she minds it, as long as she still has something to wear. Despite her only being 10 years old, she owns a large amount of jewelry but she doesn't wear that much unless it is really needed. She also has some new sets of ribbons, hair ties, and decorations for her hair that her father bought her. Is this what it feels like to live a life of royalty but hidden away from everyone?



Alexandra let out a sigh before took out all the things that she needs to write a letter, a pen and paper, obviously. She started to write a reply, pouring out all of her thoughts in one sheet of paper, gripping the pen tightly in her hand.



Dear Brother Calixander,


Since it's starting to get cold, you should wear some warm and thick clothes. Even if it is just a scarf to cover your neck to keep you warm. You shouldn't rely on your magic that much just because you can use a spell to keep you warm. It would be bad if you run out of mana.



I am glad that you are doing fine there although I understand that you are still trying your best to adjust to the academy. Have you made any friends yet? As far as I can recall, you wrote in your letter a few months ago that you are having a hard time talking with everyone as you are still not used to it. I know that our brothers are also there in case if you need someone to talk to but it would be nice if you have another friend, you know?



Brother Calixander is about to graduate and is going to turn 18 soon, I guess they will hold a grand ball for him to celebrate his birthday. How nice. I really wanted to try to attend a ball but I guess the only thing that I will do there is to eat, I bet there would be many sweets and food but I don't want to look like a glutton. I am also glad that your relationship with our brothers improved a lot than before. Can you please tell them their little sister misses them and wants to see them again? By the way, our father bought another set of books and added them to the library. Too bad you aren't here to read it but you will be able to read it all when you return from the academy in the next month.

I guess that's good enough, she thought to herself as she finished writing it and she placed it inside the envelope carefully and she sealed it. She'll just give this letter to Diana and the letter would be delivered. She leaned back on her seat and let out a sigh, setting aside the envelope with her letter inside. And as if on cue, she heard the door open and she turned her head to look behind her and saw Diana enter, holding a mug of hot choco, there was steam coming out of the cup indicating how hot it was. Diana walked towards her direction and placed the mug down on the desk.


"Are you done writing the letter, young miss?"


"Yes," Alexandra responded and gave her the letter which she accepted. She took the mug, holding it with both of her hands. It wasn't hot but it was warm which is enough for her, the warmth coming from the mug was felt against her palm as she held it. She closed her eyes and sweet aroma that is emitted wafted to her nose, she took a sip from it.


"How is the taste, young miss? Do you like it?" Diana asked after Alexandra took a sip from it. Alexandra placed down the mug and looked at Diana, giving her a thumbs up. "Very much," There was a grin on her face right after she spoke and Diana let out a sigh of relief. It's not like this is the first time that she made hot choco for Alexandra but seeing that she likes it, she couldn't help but be relieved.


"Then after you drink that, you have to go to bed now. You have to sleep, it would be bad if you stayed up late reading again."


Alexandra just hummed as a response and she continued drinking eventually gulping it all down. In just a few minutes. She was feeling sleepy anyways and she badly wants to lay down her soft bed, its warmth enveloping her whole body as the blanket covers her while her head was placed against the soft and big pillows that seem like marshmallows.

"Sleep, my love,"


Diana decided to sing a lullaby as she tucked Alexandra in bed, making her feel sleepier than she was before. Alexandra couldn't help but yawn as she listened to Diana's voice.


"The wistalia's will bloom tonight,"


Diana's voice, as usual, was gentle and it sounded soothing to the ears. It was such a gentle lullaby and her voice was low and soft, it feels like she was the only one who can hear her voice. It was a whisper, it didn't resonate inside the room nor it echoed and bounced off the walls.


"Bad dreams will go away,"


She remembered Diana singing this a few years ago. That night where she escaped her room just to go to the lake and that's where she first encountered Harrison although she caught a cold right afterward. The memory was still vivid and clear inside her head as if that memory just happened a few days ago.


"Replaced with good ones,"


Diana sat beside her body and she caressed her cheeks lovingly and gently, her hand felt warm and soothing against her cheek. Alexandra's eyelids felt heavy and her eyes gradually closed as seconds passed by and as Diana sang.


"Sleep tight, my love,"


The last thing that she heard before she fell into a deep slumber and drifted to the world of dreams was Diana's voice and her gentle lullaby that kept on ringing inside her ears.


"The wistalia's will glow tonight."

When Alexandra opened her eyes, she suddenly became a princess?!


She was hit by a truck and born once again as a baby, aside from that, she can remember her previous life.


But she wasn't like the other princess who gets to be with their family. She was a princess yet to be announced and being observed. She was born in a supposedly all-males only bloodline and they think she was a curse or bad luck. Her brothers and father hated her.


Out of all things in her life, she never expected this to happen.

The vast Mack Blue, an cosmo-ocean of the purest mana water, so pure that a drop of it shall invigorate the thirstiest of deserts with life, yet the mana ocean itself is barely teeming with life as only the most resilient of beings can truly call this place their home aside from the most ingenious of critters of course. Turbulent storms and the highest of waves crash and form in this chaotic yet orderly zone in the Chromatic Cosmos, known as the the 3rd Wonder and home to the Azure Order of the Baruch Holy Kingdom which floats atop the mana ocean. An archipelago linked and supported by numerous humongous chains made with mana deflecting properties that act as bridges undeterred by the fierce mana storms and what some fearless daredevil residents who surf these turbulent waters call the gnarliest of waves.

In the depths of the mana ocean, in the far corners of its deepest trenches lies a bubble dome surrounded by a blue array filled with ones and zeroes, inside is a picturesque garden with a small yet homey flat, a steaming hot spring fitted with dark red oak flooring, and a hammock tied to two coconut trees planted on a lot of smooth white sand creating a cozy getaway vibe. 

A mature, well endowed, gray-haired silver vixen gently floats on the hot spring as her shimmering gray hair wafts. Standing up carefully as she dries herself, a figure no man can resist, the Ts and the A sculpted by the finest perv-ahem artisan there is. This bombshell of an aunty, one where you'll ruin your friendship with your childhood bro for is none other than the Great Cartographer Lanmage, also know as the Chrome-Mapper although some men, women, and beings of various species and sexual preferences undoubtedly crowned her "The Teacher I wish who grounded me with a late night lesson".

Her great escapades are textbook examples of classic adventuring, inspiring everyone who hears of it with gusto. Her tales as far as countless millenia ago no doubt had served as guides for adventurers old and new. Right now the Chrome-Mapper is leisurely drying herself dainty droplets of water dripping down her mounds, sitting on a stone bench whilst gulping on a bottle of strawberry milk. She downs the drink as she licks off her luscious lips in a teasing manner, finishing her steamy and relaxing bath she then enters her flat with nothing on her as she is most comfortable naked in her own abode, who wouldn't be?

Inside her flat which consists of an open counter kitchen connected to the outdoor patio where the hot spring is located, going through the kitchen's counter would lead one to the living space where a fire place is centered around shelves of books, tomes, and all kinds if artifacts. Lanmage sat down black leather couch then she snapped her fingers, the fire place lit a pale yellow flame while the living space also lighted up with a mellow light as a book floated to her. She then grabbed the book as soon as she was able to reach for it mid air, snapped her fingers again, then a tray of freshly baked cookies, a crystal jug of milk, and a crystal glass flew from the kitchen then gently floating down on the table in front of her. With a serious expression she started to read the book while she ate a cookie.

The point of origin where the Olden Gods rest, the Progenitor of the Warmth with no color. Upon the death of the last heir, the next cycle would not begin until the birth of the Apathetic Executioner...

"Hmmm... according to this tome there is a ninth Flame and it doesn't have a color... based on the line regarding the heir's death it is awfully similar to the propagated truth ' the Eight Divines slew the Evil God known as the Untouchable flame ', and some ancient story books also refer to 'Him' as the Origin of Fire, ' The Flames of no distinction burn within the Kiln of the Profaned temple, it warms the Egg. ' has appeared in a lot of them, the Apathetic Executioner could be the egg..." she mused as she stopped reading and thought.

"The temples of the Eight divines is still searching for this so called 'Egg'. My discovery of Nil Pygmy was one that everyone thought to be the one, unfortunately the readings from flame detectors and multiple divinations had not come out positive. Drill Runners also did not find it even with their Seismic Vision. The plan to make it into an Arena to gather flames from each temple to rouse the Primordial flame was a simple and idiotic plan that came from one brute of an Archbishop from the Purple Mountain Shrine which to her surprise gained the approval of every temple justifying it as combat training for their acolytes that even our Azure Ash Graced Nun known for her distaste in such barbaric slog fest tacitly agreed to it."

"This plan is still on hold as all the temples and various factions are scouring the God corpse on the Red zone as well as using it for training grounds due to its abundance of ether. Nil Pigmy is being left alone but it's obvious that those Old monsters are eyeing it for its unique 'nothingness' though it was ruled that no one leave an observer there to keep each other's greed in check I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who left a marker on it."

Lanmage stood up then chugged the entire glass of milk as a drop trickled down her neckline, wiping it off she then went into her room and wore a parka. In the parka's pocket she fished out a blue eyeball. 

 What a boring place Nil Pygmy is... she thought as she went back to continue reading the ancient tome.

Nil Pygmy

Pablo was dazedly standing on the room, beneath him is a puddle of silver liquid viscous like a sauce, considering the shape of this cave, no, room... is this perhaps some kind of yolk or amniotic fluid? he thought. On the mirror like surface of the liquid a horned black skeleton with jaws clattering is reflected. He then tried to scoop the liquid even though his hands were bones as most of the time was an idiot, however the liquid actually was absorbed by his bony hands till nothing was left as he felt a warm sensation course throughout his skeletal frame which was weird since he knew skeletons shouldn't feel anything, but he was in an unknown space with laws unknown to him, he thought he needed to get a better understanding of his overall situation in order to proceed.

"This is really a new life, I'm somehow excited yet sorrow... I guess leaving my loved ones without any closure is really a depressing situation...

Haaahhh...I've become a halloween decoration... My voice also sounds out even though my jaws are only moving. That said... How the hell do I get out of this room?" He sighed and then scanned the room and saw books and shelves messed up. He gathered the books and read them one by one, he actually understood them as the text used was actually the alphabet and the numeric system he also wasn't bored as the topics within the first few books he skimmed through were about all sorts of magic, weapon and body martial arts, the history of this dimension, and other various information on this new life of his. 

He was reading them and was thoroughly entranced as he also began practicing what was written and illustrated on the various books and tomes. Time went on as he mastered many types of spells, moves, various technical information about crafting, alchemy, medicinal arts, and a diary of someone named Rivienne who seemed to be a cheerful young lady with an adventurous spirit until the latter parts of the diary depicted some sort of betrayal like in a reincarnation kind of novel where most of the time the MC gets betrayed by their closest loved one. He then stored the books and tomes by using a storage dimension spell he learned in one if the books.

He learned through the latter parts of Rivienne's diary that he was actually her son born through an unholy ritual, the unholiest in fact and was decided to be named Art long ago with her Lover named Myr who was simply known by many names but Rivienne affectionately called him Amyr. The circumstances of his birth were a sacrificial ritual consisting of a Demigoddess's soul and flesh, the summoning of the Spirits of Agony which is done by killing a million souls by torture and 'fermenting' them within the confines of a sealed dimension or can be strenuously collected within Void cracks but those are rare occurrences, and the remains of the supposed Father. It was hard to imagine that a sweet lady like Rivienne was able to all this but based on the diary entries he read it seemed plausible. 

The only way to break this space is through a massive explosion of negativity which was supposed to happen during his birth but that didn't happen, to his knowledge his 'birth' was awfully tranquil aside from the Spirits of Agony backing away from him then disintegrating. And besides, he was pessimistic but he wasn't that negative though he hated his life he also looked forward to things like games, takeout from the local Chinese place nearby his apartment, His rare visits to his family when he gets some time off, He wasn't a ball of dark feelings waiting to become a terrorist shooting up his workplace. He wanted to go back home to at least check on his family and apologize as well for abandoning his dreams and succumbing to apathy, sadly no spell, item, ritual, nor any place leads to going back to Earth.

"Ironic, I've always wanted something like this...
To be transferred to a place where magic and all sorts of powers are possible yet the first thought I had was to return home...
Nonetheless I will treasure this chance, my opportunity to become an awesome existence will never be wasted."

He went into an orthodox boxing stance then clenched bony fists as a faint red aura seeped out of his Skeletal frame "The Horned Fish Martial style is described as the best style for structure destruction as it focuses on a crescending combo in one point, hopefully this breaks this shell-like room." He thought.

"Huuuuuu" He breathed in.

"HAH!" A straight right

"HAAH!" Followed by a headbutt

"YAH! HUWAH! ORYA!" Followed by a series of fists and elbows he then paused and did a kicker pose not noticing the red aura fading out he kicked the point he had been attacking with all his might. 

*Crack* a small crack appeared on the area he had been attacking but what followed next was...

"YAAROOOOUCH!!!!!!" Pablo screamed in pain.

Well shit, who knew that Skeletons still hurt if they stubbed their toes? But to the Chromatic Cosmos, this was the first time they have heard of the cries of the Progenitor of Origin.

Hidden beneath the buried mountain ranges of Nil Pygmy, a sinister temple is erected upside down. A Skeleton tenderly caresses a small figure in its embrace. Nudging it lightly with its bony fingers, the figure opens its jaw and for the first time in the history of the Chromatic Cosmos...

the silent cries of the progenitor of origin rang throughout its domain.

The first book, on his left, was still covered in dust, despite his best attempts to clean it up. Its face had an indentation of a small anvil. The book looked as if it had not been touched, its spine in pristine condition.

The second book, that was placed between his two outstretched hands, was a shabby little thing, no larger than a handkerchief. It was thin and lacked any distinguishing features. Raphael had almost written it off as another worthless harem novel, until he had opened it and discovered its true worth.

To last book, which was on his right, could hardly be called a book. It was stained, had no cover and could at best be referred to as a stack of random drawings which had been punctured and tied together with two pieces of string. Surprisingly, this was the most valuable of the three!

‖ Weapons and Shields - Which Goes Where and How to Distinguish Them (Pattern book) ‖
▸ Upon successful absorption, will grant 3 random patterns for blacksmithing. ◂

These three books, which would grant him two skills and three random patterns, could be worth up to 10 pieces of gold in total. 

Ten Pieces of Gold!

With that amount of money, a player would be able to comfortably gear himself and buy anything he needed for a few months. Of course, such a sum was impossible to amass even for teams and informal guilds. After all, they had only been playing for three measly days so far. It would be amazing if someone had amassed more than 1 Silver, yet alone 10 gold coins!

What made these three books amazing was the fact that they were a sort of shortcut.

Normally, if for instance Raphael wanted to learn the knowledge offered by these three books, he would have to study under Ziah Bires for a couple of weeks at the very least. And that was only for the first topic! Blacksmithing was hard and it required a lot of physical strength, as well as a keen eye. If one did not properly understand when an item would become brittle and required more tempering, nobody would buy that person's items, as their durability would be laughingly low.

As far as Smelting, he might have to waste anywhere between a few days and a whole month. This was not out of the ordinary, as Smelting was not just about pouring things into a hot space and then pouring them out in a semi-liquid form. The most important part about smelting was getting used to properly controlling the temperature, as different metals required different temperatures to be properly smelted. When you added in the fact that you would have to mix different metals for certain items, it became a very complicated process that could take a long time to master, unless one had a natural aptitude.

In essence, the two guidebooks,  would enable Raphael to quickly learn the required skills for the Blacksmith profession. That isn't to say that he would be amazing, quite the opposite - he would still have a hard time, but upon successful absorption of the offered knowledge, he would unlock the Blacksmithing and Smelting User Interface Systems. These two systems would give hints on what steps he would have to take, for an item to be crafted best, based on the experience he had with crafting that item. That is to say, it was not some sort of godly hack-like ability - if he had only ever made a Basic Sword of average quality, then the system would only be able to show him how to replicate that level of quality.

Unlike the two guidebooks, the Pattern book could be considered almost as rare as, well, a Rare-quality item! Being able to have three complete patterns, with detailed instructions on how to properly craft the equipment they showcased, would be a great boon to players at the outset of the game. Normally, players would unlock the Pattern System after they create their first item. This system would allow them to view, manage and improve upon their crafting skills. The only downside was that the 3 patterns he would receive would be totally random, which was not always a good thing. For instance, what if the Pattern book gave him a pattern for an outdated weapon, or for a shield that was so tiny nobody would ever possibly have a reason to use it? This was one of the ways through which Origo had gained notoriety as a balanced game - even when it gave something, there was no guarantee that players would receive something useful.

"Absorb!" Raphael said, as he placed his hand on the left-most book. A faint light was emitted from its cover, as he steadily held his palm in place. The aura-like silvery globules travelled up his arm, seeping into his skin. This continued for a few seconds, until a notification chime rang out.

Euphorically, Raphael repeated the process with the other two books. The second book had the same reaction, while the particles from the Pattern book had a golden hue to them. The absorption process was not foolproof, as there was a small chance of failure, but for beginner-level skills like these, the possibility of failure was so small it could be considered infinitesimal.

The notification chime rang out, twice more. Dimples appeared on Raphael's face as he smiled.

'Good news everyone! There's a new blacksmith in town, and he's smoking hot, ha-hah!' he beamed inwardly, as he got up from the chair and did a little victory dance. 

Raphael opened up his event log, curious to see what he had gotten.

'Thank the stars, I can still remember that one time an absorption failed.' Raphael shuddered as he remembered his less-than-good luck.

Curious about what he had gotten from the pattern book, he opened his Knowledge Repository, where three new patterns awaited him. His expression turned sour rather quickly.

Dazed and with a throbbing heart, Raphael Simon wakes up to find himself given a second chance.

"I've forgotten how to love." "What?" "I forgot. I don't know how to do it anymore."  There was no other way of putting it. It had been too long since I'd written a letter or made coffee for two or highlighted passages in poetry books for a lover who would consider the gesture equal to a proposal of marriage. In the moment, those things are second nature. You take shorter showers to spare the hot water and you change the bedcovers more often so that they are fresh on the skin. You even start learning how to do all sorts of things you had no interest in before, like baking fresh brownies and serving them up hot to settle your lover's stomach before bed. Everyone goes about it differently, but those are some of the ways I expressed my love. Primarily, however, I did it by eye contact.  Only now I have trouble even glancing at people for the briefest of moments and I have deserted recipe books for Plath's journals again. It is so easy, once someone has brought your hands to their mouth to kiss goodbye, to fall back into the habit of isolation. There can be no argument: 
solitude is an indulgence. I am guilty of enabling my own loneliness. I fix myself before a computer and write stories about girls selling poems by the side of highways. I avoid phonecalls and ignore concerned e-mails. I am quite happy to remain transfixed in my state of quiet grief, the kind that undresses me at night until I am curled up in bed like an infant, bawling at nothing in particular. For a long time, I allow myself to detach from everything: friends, work, school, memories. It is a process that I am always convinced will help, but which never does, though I return to it regardless. 
 Eventually, though, you start going out more and conversations become less forced and sooner or later, you even begin to like someone new. You recite their name in your head before falling asleep and everytime you see them, you try to smile at them, but don't quite manage because you are much too nervous. Contact is made by some means or another and chances seem hopeful. The only problem is that you are rusty. You talk mechanically. You are unaware that you are supposed to call to make sure they get home safe. You buy them presents your ex would have liked, or you don't buy them anything at all. They let you off because you are new and shy and they can sense your nervousness by the way you kiss. It is around this time that you begin to realize you are out of shape. You have not exercised your heart in a while. You are slow learning what makes them happy. You've forgotten is all. You spent so long nursing yourself that you no longer know how to attend to anyone else. It's all gone.
