Tia walked to her office but unlike before, not much people were greeting her.

She felt that something was off. It was then when she notice that people looked at her with eyes full of mockery and contempt.

She knows that look all too well. She grew up being under those scrutinizing gaze. She hurriedly entered her office and locked her door.

She started to feel agitated. Her breathing grew heavy, she's having a panic attack.

She went to her mini fridge then hastily opened a bottle of water.

The staff tried to get her to stop but she merely stuck her tongue out at them and continued to jump. None of the staff dared to physically touch her for they were afraid that they might accidentally hurt her. All they could do was to keep an eye on her to make sure that she would not fall and hurt herself. 

While she jumped, a mischievous thought came to her and she shouted, "Haha! Mummy, I'm jumping on the couch again! Come and get me!" 

A beautiful woman came running out with a frown on her face. She was talking with a member of the staff in the kitchen when she heard her daughter yelling at the top of her lungs. 

She stood akimbo in front of the couch as she said with an irritated tone, "Fan Wushuang! Don't think that just because your dad loves you and protects you all the time, I can't do anything to you!" 

The little girl stuck her tongue out at her mother. She knew that she had her father wrapped tightly around her little finger, so she was not afraid of her mother at all. Even the staff could only shake their heads at her. 

The woman frowned. She then went to the girl and picked her up from the couch. Throwing the little girl over her shoulder, she then smacked Little Fan Wushuang on the bum twice before saying, "You little devil! Stop scaring the servants! What if you get hurt? Your daddy will skin them alive." 

Instead of being hurt, Little Fan Wushuang laughed before she placed a kiss on her mother's back. "Nah! Daddy won't. Daddy's a nice man!"

She pushed herself up so that she was looking right into her mother's eyes. "Mummy, your threat doesn't work. I know that you love me too much to hit me."

The woman smiled at her daughter's antics. This little mini version of her always managed to talk her way out of things. She then placed Little Fan Wushuang on the floor and wagged a finger in front of the girl's face before flicking the girl's forehead. The little girl pouted and rubbed her forehead while she looked at her mother. "That hurts, you big devil!" 

The beautiful woman caressed her daughter's head before saying gently, "You little devil, you're so naughty… What are you going to do if Daddy or Mummy is not by your side?" 

Little Fan Wushuang laughed and hugged her. "It's never going to happen! We are going to be living together for a long, long time!"

When Xiao Lei opened her eyes again, there was a pained expression that flitted across it. She had not thought about her parents for a long time now. Sitting up, she took a quick glance around the suite before she sighed loudly. 

"It's been so long since I lived in luxury…" Xiao Lei went to the kitchen and found that the fridge was fully stocked. 

"Woah!" She gasped when she saw that everything inside the fridge was high-quality ingredients. Everything had a sticker with the word "organic" on it. 

Since Head Manager Han told her that everything was paid for, Xiao Lei did not hesitate to make the place her home. She immediately took out a few ingredients. 

In the end, she made a huge medium rare sirloin steak with broccoli for sides. It was rare for her and her family to eat steak because of how expensive it was compared to other cuts of meat. Now that she had a chance, obviously she was going to eat well. 

While she was chewing, she felt guilty for eating the steak without her son, but… she continued to eat.

"Sorry, Zhi Hao, my precious son. Once I've got enough money, I'll take you out for steak," thought Xiao Lei as she popped another piece of meat into her mouth. Based on her experience, she could tell that the meat was a piece of high-quality meat and not those discounted steaks she used to buy for special occasions.

"Man... This is the life..." thought Xiao Lei as she popped another piece of meat that almost melted in her mouth.   

Once she was done eating, she placed the plate into the dishwasher.

In the end, she made herself a footlong huge sandwich with three different variety of cold cuts, tomatoes, cucumbers, mashed avocado, crumbled goat cheese, drenched with honey mustard, and half a pickled cucumber on the side.

Loading everything onto a plate, she smiled as she cut the sandwich in half. She loved food but in order to save money, she ate simple food and never ate till she was full. Now that someone paid for everything, obviously she was not going to let this chance go!
 
Holding the plate carefully, she entered the bedroom and saw a huge painting hung over the king-sized bed with luxurious gold bedding. It reminded her of the painted portrait of her parents which hung over their bed. She used to lie on her parents' bed while they told her about their past.

As she sat on the bed in the hotel, she glanced around the room. Everything was luxuriously decorated, even the flowers inside the various vases were picked to suit the decor inside the room.  

"This suite is probably at least $1,000 per night. Damn… They should have just given me the money. That's more than one month of my salary!" She ate the first half of the sandwich and chomped away. 

There were a few magazines ranging from a top entertainment magazine to a business magazine that was placed inside the drawer of the nightstand. Xiao Lei took a simple entertainment magazine and flipped it through while she ate her fully loaded sandwich.  

Once she devoured the entire footlong sandwich, she lay on the bed while rubbing her stuffed belly. It had been a while since she ate so much, so her face was filled with smiles as she stared at the ceiling with a dazed look.

As she looked at the mini chandelier that sparkled like stars and was hanging over the bed, she thought, "After so many years, I've forgotten how the rich people live…" 

She then lightly patted her cheeks before saying, "Xiao Lei, you're Xiao Xiao Lei now, not Fan Wushuang. Forget about everything. Forget about your parents. Forget about your revenge. Just live a quiet life with your son and wait for your husband to come home…" 

Still, even as she tried to herself what to do, a small drop of tear soon formed and fell from the corner of her eyes.

Pagbukas ko nga ng pinto, nadatnan ko silang nagwawala sa kanta ni T*ylor Sw*ft na Black S*pace. 
Natigilan sila ng makita ako. Nawala ang galit na boses ng kumakanta. Ako na ang galit ngayon.

Jordan awoke Thursday morning and went into the kitchen to roam the fridge. Leaning down into the icebox, he rummage around to see what was available. Seeing that there wasn't much, he grunted and opened the freezer, it was equally bare. Letting out a frustrated sigh, he closed the fridge and thought of what he would eat. He didn't have much money considering the fact that after paying his rent for that month and the month that he spend down here, he had bought a round trip plane ticket leaving enough for the car rental. He was an idiot for paying two hundred, sixteen dollars for the car for the full week and insurance that cost extra forty dollars to cover.
   Now, as he thought about it, he could have taken the bus system from Richmond to Hampton, hitch hiking in any areas he needed to. He made a mental note to file that away the next time he to visit. Sighing, he glanced up at the clock, it was seven thirty in the morning there was plenty of time for him to get to the store and back. Running up to his room, he opened the closet, pulled down a small leather pouch and opened it. He took out the twenty dollars he had left over wondering what could he possibly get that would last while he was here. Peanut butter, jelly,bread, and sandwich meat. Although he didn't enjoy balonga to much, he'd have to make a due. Sighing, he zipped the pouch back up and sat it back on the shelf on the top of his closet.
    When Jordan made it to the super market, he parked his car next to a grey Toyota. Going inside, he glanced around to see all kinds of specials going. It was just his luck, that piggly wiggly was having a sell. Cruising the isles he pulled off a pack of generic chess for a dollar in the mini dairy section. Next to that, he pulled out a pack of hot dogs that were also a dollar. He pulled two packages of meat. Going to the milk aisle, he saw that the half gallon jugs were a dollar a piece.
    Denise pulled into piggly wiggly, cursing her mom for making her get up this early in the morning on her day off and go to the deli, just so she could get some boars salami and goat cheese. Sighing, she stepped out of her car and walked up to the sliding door that were electronically activated. Stepping inside the cool air, she headed straight for the deli, fuming the whole way.
    Jordan stopped at the deli, checking out all of the meat in this section. He could really go for some peppered turkey right about now. He hadn't had any since he'd left. No coleslaw, or anything that was native to his southern roots. Lingering just long enough to think about trading in a few miscellaneous items, but not wanting to completely starve, he moved on away from the section.

Chapter One

Zatanna sighed and hopped out of the car, drinking in the sight of her new dorm building. It was made of thick red brick and tan stones but the potentially dry and dead building was alive with other students moving in. She could practically sense her father frowning, "are you sure we are at the right building, Zatanna? I see only girls older than you."

Zatanna gave him a smile that said you should be proud of me, "it's because I arranged to take the dorm of a graduated senior. The girls in the dorms around me are older, dad." He seemed to consider this, his thumb running over one side of his black mustache. She would miss him dearly, him and all his over protective father antics and sage advice on all things except boys her age.

"Alright, I trust you." He placed a kiss to her temple before grabbing a giant box from the back of their car and starting towards the building. Her smile beamed as they took the stairs instead of the elevator to avoid the crowds, sneaking up the staircase to the third floor of the building. It stayed plastered to her face when she found her dorm number on the front of one of the wooden doors.

Politely, she knocked and popped her head in just to be sure. A tall blonde stood when she entered, eyeing her with expertly concealed interest. "You must be Zatanna."

Zatanna nodded and set down what she was carrying to shake the girl's hand. "It's nice to meet you, Artemis. This is my dad."

In his usual extravagant way, Giovanni bowed at the waist, "Buongiorno, signorina." The blonde's eyebrows popped up but her father didn't see it, instead heading back down to the car.

Zatanna offered an apologetic smile, "sorry, he's... from Italy. Old habits die hard." For the first time, Artemis smiled.

"It's okay, my mom's Vietnamese and she still swears in it." Zatanna giggled at that, pushing her boxes back to make room for the rest of her stuff. "Here, let's go help your dad with your stuff. It will take forever otherwise."

On their trips up and down the stairs, carrying things from clothes hangers to a lamp and a fan, a toaster for their kitchenette and actual food, Zatanna got to know her roommate pretty well.

Artemis was one year older and she was currently on the field hockey team. She planned on doing lacrosse in the spring as well. Her father wasn't in her life (the reasoning behind this was not shared) but she had a good relationship with her mother and could rely on her sister should she need something.

"Thanks dad, for everything," her voice softened as she met his eyes before promptly wrapping her arms around his middle. His hands fell onto her shoulders in return.

"Stay safe, my little magician." He sounded emotional but held it together. "Call me every weekend." Zatanna smiled sadly.

"Of course I will," with that, her father stepped away and gave a final nod to Artemis before turning and leaving the two alone in the dorm room. Artemis gave the younger girl a sad but reassuring look and they set to work.

The goal was to keep things as functional as possible without compromising looks. Their beds were on opposite sides of the room with two desks in the middle. Dressers sat at the end of their beds up against the wall. On Zatanna's side sat their small counter and mini fridge, on Artemis's a couch and TV. It was a pretty homey space, and Zatanna smiled at the result.

"So do you play any sports?" Artemis asked after a good hour of unpacking and setting things up around the room.

They sat on their beds and sipped iced tea (thank god for that mini fridge) to relax and take a break. It was nearing lunch, but they had time. "Actually I've never been one for sports really. I mean, I like watching the games, but I'm more there to take pictures than anything else."

"You're a photographer?"

"It's my passion, I want to run a studio when I'm older," she set down her drink to carefully pluck a case from one of her shelves. Then she pulled out her camera, "this's my baby, Rebel." Artemis chuckled at the pet name, "He's a Canon EOS Rebel T3 Digital SLR, which is just a fancy way of saying if I drop this my dad will be pissed." Artemis full out laughed at that and took the device from Zatanna's hands to examine it.

"You know, you should look into the school paper, I've got a friend who runs the website and tech stuff, he might be able to hook you up. Of course I don't know if you're any good, but it's worth a try." Zatanna grinned and took the camera back, drawing the strap around her neck and letting it rest there like usual.

"I suppose I'll look into it."

"He's cute, by the way." Zatanna's head snapped up like Artemis said she had the plague.

"The friend of mine. He's single." Zatanna felt her own eyes widen.

"Uhh, actually I don't think that's a good idea."

"Ohhh, you have a boyfriend already."

"What- no no, I'm just... not comfortable with idea of dating so early in the school year." Artemis shrugged it off and returned to her bed, sipping from her ice tea.

"Suit yourself. What else should I know about you? Any allergies, interest facts, quirks, pet peeves?"

Knowing now was a good a time as any Zatanna spoke the first thing that came to mind, "yeah actually... I graduated from an all-girls high school." Artemis choked on her drink, a reaction Zatanna had gotten many times over. No one ever seemed to grasp the concept of not having the opposite sex around every day of the school year.

"Catholic school?" Something in Artemis's eyes screamed both worry and suspicion. Zatanna sought to squash that something.

"No, it was just a regular all girls private school." That something lessened, but still it persisted. "Is something wrong?"

"I'm going to be blunt: the boys are going to love you." Zatanna frowned slightly.

"Is that a bad thing?" Artemis shrugged a bit and tipped her head back to get the last of her iced tea.

"Not necessarily, just make sure you know who you're flirting with beforehand, alright? Girls at this school guards their guys like rabid dogs." Zatanna giggled at the imagery, happy to have the situation diffused. "Now come on, let's get some lunch. There are some people I want you to meet."

Sitting in backseat of a 400-thousand dollar luxury car, Nina sat slouched in the drivers seat while playfully laughing at an old re-run episode of her favorite short-story sketch on her smartphone, "Loving Vampire Girlfriend". 

Fulfilled with a joyful breath, the ending of the episode ended with the two main female lead characters in each others embrace while engaging in a passionate long held kiss. 

"Nina-"Slamming her phone to her lap hard enough to cause a the screen to slightly crack, Nina raised her gaze and moved her head toward Cat standing outside her window while pointing at the locked backseat door.  "-unlock the door, please? "

Turning the locks, Cat opened the backseat door and hopped inside. Setting away her designer purse beside her lap, Cat extended the seatbelt and locked it into place. Raising her head, Nina glanced over at the rear-view mirror and watched carefully as her eyes dotted at the edge of her phone with the ending episode on pause yet, still not over as the next scene was undoubtedly beyond erotic. 

Gulping intently, Nina broke out into a sweat as she continued to glance down at her phone while attempting to not involve any suspicion from Cat's hawk-like gaze. 

"Let's do it-" Snapping her gaze at the mirror, Nina watched and listened as Cat continued. "-let's invite some people over for a small get-together and talk about... Boys-Men! I mean. Huh! Its been so long, I've gotten so out of touch as of late. No wonder I've been so hopelessly single all my life. "

Almost teasing at her words, Mina's hand gripped tightly onto the steering-wheel that her nails scrapped the side of the custom csrbon surface of the steering wheel. Lowering her gaze to her phone, Nina awkwardly laughed as she then went on to sway Cat's uneasy concerns with her dating life. 

"You are a woman among women Miss Catherine. It should come to no surprise that you are the embodiment of elegance and will willpower. I have no doubt that even in your golden years, you'll still be ever radiant. "Glancing from her half-baked response, Nina was shocked to see Cat profoundluly depressed as Nina's prediction was simply explaining how Cat would be single even into her future. "H-Huh! M-Miss Catherine -- I didn't mean-"

"It's quite alright, dear. I understand the sentiment though, you do make a valid point. Oh, not about the exaggerated compliments, but that I still have my future ahead of me. Alright, its decided. I am going to give dating a try. To grasp what true love is and experience it with my own heart-"

["Hah! Agh -- Ahh! "] Nina's hands slipped up from her sweat and caused her to phone to flip in her palm, causing the video to resume playing in the quiet car. 

For the next several seconds, Nina calmly lowered her window and proceeded with throwing out her phone out in the calmest yet, furocious manner possible. 

Before Cat could utter a word amid the sharp cold ambience of the car, Nina started up the engine and pulled out from behind the dozens of parked luxury cars in the deluxe underground parking lot of the the building. 

Driving out onto the road calmly, Cat and Nina rode in absolute silence as such a thing tended to happen every once in a while where Nina wad involved yet, Cat refuses to dig any deeper or pry into what Nina does while in her downtime.

Walking out to the front door of Cat's large villa in the outskirts of the city, Nina holds the door open as she follows Cat inside her home. 

"I am going to take a shower, in the mean time -- call up some of my old acquaintances, oh-no one from the "Frolly Tory Party". I don't want those girls anywhere near here... Not since the last time we met, you almost ended up arrested for beating down seven guards and a police officer simply because Trifany threw water onto my face and you scared the living crap out of that snobby rich girl. "

"Right... S-Sorry about that. "Cat smiled and turned as she began unzipping her tight red short-dress as she headed to use the large shower room. 

As Nina heard the sound of the bathroom door click shut, she soon raised her head and walked over to the spare bedroom next to the shower room Cat was in. Heading inside, Nina picked up a mobile-smart-tablet and began narrowing down the guests to invite just as Cat had asked. 

All the while, Nina rearranged the furniture in the room and stopped for a moment as she set the tablet under her arm and removed a small painting of a feild of sunflowers. Finding a small hole, Nina took a seat in a comfortable couch and turned to her right as she lightly pulled on a false set of books at the bottom of a bookshelf to reveal a small, fully stocked mini-fridge inside. 

Taking out and opening a beer can, Nina then hooked up a small wire from on top of the mini-fridge and slid it through the narrow hole on the wall. Lightly relaxing, Nina soon flipped the atrnagement of the guests on ine side of the screen on the tablet while receiving high resolution footage on the other of Cat showering behind a hazy glass wall. 

"Tsk! "Slightly irritated, Nina opened up a third tab and ordered a new phone be delivered under her name. 

Afterwards, Nina casually packed everything away ad Cat finished up in the bathroom. Walking over to the livibgroom and greeting Cat with a hot cup of herbal tea, Nina informed Cat as Cat smiled and took a seat in the livingroom couch while still in her bathrobe. 

"Nina. Are you busy later on tonight? "Titling her head earnestly, Nina lightly shook her head once while pouting inoccently. "Great! Then would you care to sleep over-"

"Gah-"Clenching her chest abruptly, it was the first time since working for Cat that she was officially invited to spend the night at Cat's home. "Sorry, I-I'm fine. Please, continue. "

"Oh, uh, o-okay. "Still slightly worried, Cat explained that she wanted to learn more about dating and what better way that to learn it from someone who is in a relationship. "So, I take it you should call and let your Man know you'll be staying over? "


"Oh, I'm sure he'll be fine -- "it'll"! I'm sure "it'll" be fine, I mean. Hm! "Smiling, Cat nodded as she headed into her room to change as the party was set to start in a few hours. 

All was in place as Nina had been waiting for such an opportunity to present itself... 

"Finally, I'll have her all to myself! No more sneaking around outisde her house late at night, hmm! "

it was a long ride when rose drove back to her house  it was already twelve past midnight .
rose lives in one of the most expensive and luxurious apartment village THE AVANZ  in city H as Rose's office is also 20 min ride from there it's more  convenient  than her parents house .

after graduation when she first moved out from her parents house she lived in a condo apartment with two other doctors when she was working at hospital k and other two hospitals. she was so busy at that time that she ever so hardly got free time even then she will visit seminars or read books at home. 
 as introvert as she was at that time that if her parents don't call to nag her to visit home she will just call and text to keep updated . 
 when she resigned from her job and decide to open her own clinic she didn't move in to her parents house she brought the closest villa near her office .
the avanz apartment village was on works at that time when rose was working at hospital k and merry, one of the co worker was cousin of the owner of avanz so when she was searching for a place and also that avanz is close and it have great security she called merry and she helped her buy one of the villa in there and she moved from her previous condo and shift to the villa .
when she first told her parents that she will open her own office they were very happy but after she told them that that she have brought her own villa and she will live there from now on. they were very sad and upset but after seeing Rose's determined look they agreed at last but they put a condition that every Sunday she have to visit home for dinner and that she will take good care of herself and not eat take out & instant noodles every day . 
 sometime her mom  will visit to her place to fill up the fridge and daily necessities or other times she will text or call to check up on Rose's meals.

after parking the car rose unlock the door of her house and went upstairs to her room . she put the key in the small tray on her desk then remove her shoes & blezer then remove her shirt and pant she grab one comfy pj from her closet and went to the bathroom for a shower. 

as rose likes black and minimal setting her house was also in the contrast of gold and white with black interiors . she has two bedroom, a big living room, a outer balcony with sitting space , a small bar counter at the corner of her living room, a big L size couch & some Bean bags . two big paintings and some plants too make all the rooms looking put together , she also has a big kitchen fully equipped as she loves cooking for herself but even her mom is not aware that her beautiful daughter have talent in that department too so she never get to taste her daughter's cooking but will very soon . her Villa is two story downstairs​ is living room, a bedroom, bathroom ,a balcony and kitchen  and upstairs is her big bedroom , her workspace and her workout space . in her work space she had a big book self, a sofa and her desk with her laptop and other materials . her wardrobe actually attached to her bedroom so  she don't have to always move around when she needs to get dressed her walking closet is full with her branded cloths bags jwellery and everything a girl needs . in her bedroom there was a min fridge​ ,a queen bed ,her vanity, two big speakers, a bathroom and a small balcony where  a swing  is placed with small table & chairs to relax . rose loves to read book so she will always sit on the swing with a blanket and read the night away .in winter she will drink hot cocoa sitting in the balcony or on a tired day she will drink wine on the swing . her bedroom is in full black with golden contrast  even half of her closet is full of black cloths every time she shops she  unintentionally will always gonna buy black. that's how much she is obsessed with it and also there's a paintings of her in the wall which kush gifted her on her 21st birthday hanging where you can see her beautiful smile standing under a cherry blossom tree.
after coming out of shower in a fluffy black panther pj she sat on her vanity and blowdry her hair then finish her night routine . after that she open her mini fridge to grab some water after drinking it she slide herself in the warm quilt and went to sleep .

Rose  have gone through many pains in life but the break up with his boyfriend have had a great effect on her but even though she was broken and empty inside she fought to become someone she can be proud of

Dawn was a sweet and caring person, he loved his girlfriend so much but an unfortunate accident made her life taken away that made him cold and disconnect with the world
