Lin Xi looked down at the book, he had opened his first occult book however he wasn't expecting the level of brutality that seemed to be necessary to complete any of the more powerful basic rituals.

To be honest he still was not entirely sure if he was dreaming so he decided to try one of the first basic occult skills to affirm that he was not insane.

He brought his hands out in front of him and placed all his fingers together tip to tip. He dropped his thumb and pinky down before quickly inverting his entire hand.

To both his hock and amazement a invisible force seemed to ripple out from his hands pushing any objects in front of his hands to just over a meter away.

Although is seemed useless Xi realised that the practical application of this mini-ritual was that it could push attackers away so Xi could counter attack.

With renewed fever Xi tried to move on to more powerful rituals however the book seemed unwilling to give them up so Xi eventually decided that he could only learn anew ritual every week.

Following this Xi opened his basic ruling book and read the first page, it talked about how a ruler should be able to command his people and as such he gained the rulers ability 'command' witch made his underlings try to complete his commands with greater passion. 

Apart from that they both had introductions to their respective professions. Witch to be fair to the guide were actually useful!!

Apologies for the mini history lesson but apparently this word previous to all the humans arriving, was a world of massive proportions. 

the explored world alone was close to 10 times the size of the earth and this dint even include the unexplored world.

The inhabitants of the world consisted of a multitude of races, each with their own racial abilities and weaknesses. 

One thing both books made abundantly clear was that dragons were bad news except for where dark magic was mentioned to be able to turn dragons into pets ...

At this point Xi was experiencing a multitude of emotions but the main ones were apprehension for the new opportunity and fear that he might take his last breath on a world far away from his own home. 

Xi quickly tried to search the internet for any information but all he got was constantly updating bulletins.

He decided eventually to steel his nerves so wearing the pendant round his knock he prepared his first ritual - The knock back curse he called it - he said...

"Guide, take me into the new world"

Then a circle of green light seemed to form around him slowly drawing closer to him but by bit

Almost releasing the curse he had ready he held his breath as the world seemed to twist and warp

In a flash of green light he felt like he was catapulted off the planet. Xi looked around at the multitude of stars and noticed that he was only one of thousands of beams that seemed to be moving past galaxies every second heading to a solid, planet looking sphere that seemed as large a galaxy by itself.

It almost seemed to swell as noticeably galaxies were slowly being absorbed and countless beams left each of the galaxies heading towards different sections of terra.

One second Xi was feeling overwhelmed and the next he landed on the planet.

The green light seemed to diffuse into the surroundings

Out of shock Xi released the curse witch led to a ripple witch almost pushed a squirrel of the tree it was on.

He tried to run but he noticed that he had no energy to move so after 10 seconds of panic he realised the effects were only temporary. He thought back to his occult book and remembered one of the first things mentioned,

"Occult powers work on a system of give and take"

He thought that the energy that was taken must be the offering to trigger the power he used.

Returning from his thought process he looked around him and realising it was not safe, he ducked.

He had landed on the top of a large hill and he could see for miles around him.

There were woods to the north and a great plane to his south and east witch happens to have a river of close to 30m in diameter and lastly to his west he saw a woodland witch stretched into the distance witch was covered in trees.

Staring out in wonder of the beautiful world Xi let out a sigh of relief although there was danger his future as a king would start securing his future and his descendants future.

Already his mind started to work..

"Guide, how do I run with no people and how do I increase my strength?"

{The answer to your first question would be, upon finding a place where you want to start your kingdom you must complete the ritual of kingship witch will Simon a pillar to act as the centre of your kingdom, depending on the kingdoms rating more people will be attracted to you}

{In answer to your second question, cultivate a strong body and mind through written techniques like one inch killing strike or gain experience in fighting and or killing beasts or other humans} 

Xi contemplated for a while but he eventually decided that he needed to start his kingdom soon, so that he had an advantage over others of similar professions.

He looked towards the river and decided that he would build his capital by the river so he had access to sea trade on the future, furthermore he could post look outs on the hill to prevent sneak attacks of beast during the day.

Following this decision he opens up his rulers book and the only other page unlocked, it showed that to complete a kingdom ritual a beast had to be sacrificed in a circular drawn out area and the future king had to proclaim his ownership of the land. 

Xi slowly turned to look towards the forest and out of the bag he had on his back he removed a kitchen knife, he left his bag on the hill and with a deep breath he remarked,

"Nothing comes free... ever!"

"Back then, I didn't know when I was happily distracted and childishly dancing around, dad actually filmed everything." She chuckled remembering this.

At breakfast the next morning, Hue asked her if she wanted to debut as a singer and/or song writer. Startled by the out of topic question she silently contemplated then half joking and half serious said yes.

Little did she know, her half hearted answer led to her becoming an international star today. 
"Good thing that time, I hadn't worn my glasses and usual clothes or my friend's would surely recognized me then." She said to herself in relief.

After finding a big enough overgrown root to sit down, she place her mini recorder which also functions as a sound box and played the newest song she created entitled "I hope" This was the song she wrote to surprise Sae filled with all her longing and anticipation. 

She signed depressingly stopping herself from crying yet again remembering what happen a few hours ago. She placed her bag on her other side near the tree overgrown root. She started reading the book with the help of the moon's light while humming and eventually singing her new song.
The more she read the content of the book the more the emotions she poured on her singing intensified. She finally closed the book, ignoring the rustling and whispering voices from a nearby bush. The sky was starting to get cloudy hiding the moon and stars from sight.

She was staring at the field of flowers as she sang in melancholy not minding that her voice was becoming hoarse. After a few minutes she stood up taken off her eyeglasses and the tie on her messy bun then placed it on top of her bag. She had temporarily stopped singing however the melody continued playing.

A drizzle started pouring, she was consumed in pain and dread, the melody was reaching its chorus.
She started singing again, rather than singing it was more of her shouting now making her voice hoarser. Despite the pain she was feeling on her throat she ignored it and continued her singing-shouting.

Her voice was more powerful and emotional. She looked up at the sky which showered her with its 'tears'. 

As the song reached its end by the sound of the melody, she turned around face the peeping tom's hiding place.

She actually found them immediately because that was the exact same place Hue hid when he captured her singing and playing around.

She could vaguely see a familiar silhouette beside him but was too distracted by the pain in her heart and now her head started throbbing again to really think who the person was.

 "I'm sorry" mostly to Hue, moving her lips without using her voice as her eyes slowly turned into midnight black. Her pupils, cornea and even her eye lens within had turned completely the same shed. She then fainted sparkling the water left by the rain around her and dirtying her dress with mud and dead leaves.

After experience a broken heart and a series of unfortunate events, Reen had remembered everything.  While all this were happening, he came into her life.  Should she forgive and forget everything and live the life she always wanted or should she stay and fulfill her need to be free from her past’s dark constraints? 

Need or want which should she choose...?

The mercenaries felt as though they had just been on a roller coaster ride from hell to heaven. Just a few moments ago, they believed that they would undoubtedly die and were merely fighting to protect their dignity. However, they didn't expect the situation to turn around entirely within half a minute. The terrifying enemies crumbled and even the Necromancer had turned into ashes. The trio who had rescued them didn't seem to be passersby at all, but shortly after, they realized that they were wrong.
"How boring."
Mini Bubble Gum clapped the dust off her hands and pouted as she looked at the corpses laid before her. She gazed at the man with the rotten arms and unconscious on the ground and let out a snort. Then, she stretched out a finger and emanated a dazzling ray of light that healed the ruptured flesh on his arms. In the blink of an eye, his arms were fully cured. Then, Mini Bubble Gum stretched her body lazily.
"They're nothing more than a bunch of useless crap. Let's go, Big Sister, Leader."
Mini Bubble Gum turned around and left without glancing at the mercenaries. She behaved so casually as though she had just killed a colony of ants instead of Humans. Rhode and Canary had no opinions about this. The blustering mercenaries were slightly more than level 20 while the Necromancer was only level 30. Rhode's level was even higher than them, so how was it possible for the level 85 Canary and Mini Bubble Gum to regard them highly?
The trio left swiftly and continued with their journey, leaving the group of mercenaries who had escaped death. The mercenaries widened their eyes in disbelief. They thought that they were dead for sure, but the sudden appearance of the trio dragged them from the claws of death entirely, which they were extremely thankful for. Normally, the rescuers would have approached them to check on their condition and the victims could express their gratitude. However, the trio's actions had surprised all of them. They just left without looking at the victims even once?!
What should we do next?
The mercenaries were left in an awkward situation. They wanted to catch up to them and express their proper gratitudes. However, the trio seemed uninterested in them and their strength had proven how powerful they were. On the contrary, these guys were only mercenaries and they naturally couldn't figure out how powerful the trio was exactly. Most powerful beings had strange behaviors. If one were to accidentally offend them, perhaps one would die to a wave of their hands… The mercenaries shuddered at this frightening thought. Then, their leader took a final look at the trio and heaved a sigh of relief. He pulled himself together and clapped his hands to gather the attention of his men.
"Alright, Brothers. Let's tidy up and leave. We're really fortunate today…"
But before the man finished his words, the young noble who they had been protecting bolted toward the trio!
"That idiot!"
The leader chased the young noble hurriedly. After spending some time with him, he knew what sort of temper he had! He knew exactly what the young noble was planning to do, suddenly running up to the trio!
Rhode's group had thrown this matter to the back of their heads as soon as they turned around and they didn't even discuss anything about it. Instead, they spoke about their experiences in the game which involved the BOSSes, equipment, dungeons, and also the future. Suddenly, someone yelled from behind.
"Hey, the people in front. Wait up…!"
Rhode puckered his brows while Canary maintained her usual gentle smile. On the other hand, Mini Bubble Gum sulked instantly because the voice had disrupted her from sharing her mighty achievements in the dungeons with Rhode. Rhode and Mini Bubble Gum were the only survivors in a 25-men dungeon when they faced the final BOSS. In that battle, Mini Bubble Gum had as though enlightened everyone with her perfect wisdom. Her responses were superb and not only did she dodge the BOSS's attack, but she also protected Rhode at the same time. The tempo of her healing and casting of supporting skills were timed perfectly. In the end, the duo took down the BOSS and this achievement earned Mini Bubble Gum the number one Cleric spot in the Guild. She was bragging about how she coordinated with Rhode flawlessly and someone actually interrupted her before she reached the most exciting part of the story!
She glared in the direction where the voice came from while harboring malicious intentions. At this moment, the young noble panted his way toward them. He wore showy noble attire with a cape draped over his shoulders and a fine sword hanging by his waist. However, his flashy appearance exposed that the sword was only meant to show off rather than be used in actual battle. He looked about 14 years old and almost the same age as Mini Bubble Gum. He ran as quickly as possible and looked at the trio with a pleased smile. For unknown reasons, Rhode felt that his smile hinted superiority.
The young noble spoke.
"You guys have decent strength. Wanna work for me?"
"Huh?"
Mini Bubble Gum revealed an ice-cold expression while Rhode and Canary exchanged looks with each other. Then, Rhode folded his arms and gazed at the young man with a bantering glint. However, before he got the chance to speak, Mini Bubble Gum had exploded. 
"What a joke! Kid, who do you think you are? You want us to work for you? Get your pitiful self away from our sight! You're asking for death!" 
Mini Bubble Gum clenched her fists and glared at the young noble. The latter stuck out his chest proudly and gazed at them with a proud, arrogant expression. "I have no lack of money! I will give you 50k gold coins as long as you help me rescue my younger sister from the hands of the Cultists. How about that? My father is a rich merchant in the Kohl region and I've loads and loads of money. As long as you rescue my younger sister, the money will be yours! How about that? That sounds great, eh?"
"Do you even understand Human language? Idiot…"
Mini Bubble Gum let out a snort and lifted her chin high. Although the young noble was slightly taller than her, she still showed a look of disdain.
"Who cares about your filthy money. Our leader has more than enough of that and he doesn't fancy yours. I have money too. My family owns a multinational corporation. I get all the pounds and dollars that I want… Forget it. No one gives a damn if your family is a whatever Kohl region millionaire. Don't mess with us or I will smash you with a sack of money. Now, scram!"
"What did you say?! My father is really, really rich! Do you think I'm afraid of you?!"
"Come on! What can 50k gold coins even afford? It isn't enough to buy a part of my equipment. So what if you have 50k gold coins?"
"You…"
Rhode rubbed his forehead and shook his head helplessly at their childish argument.
Bubble was indeed powerful, but she never grew up. Although she could be considered one of the best Clerics in the gaming world, she had always been surrounded by controversies in real life because she was the daughter of a multinational corporation boss. In other words, she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and never avoided this topic and would often splurge on any great items. Many players detested her arrogant behavior and moreover, she was in the rebellious phase of life and always loved to compete against others. The more the players despised her, the more she got back at them. The more you look down upon me as a pay-to-win player, the more I will use money to crush and infuriate you to death. The more you say that Cleric can't PK, the more I will defeat you. You deserve it!
Everyone had such moments. But it was rare to see one as extreme as Mini Bubble Gum. Therefore, Mini Bubble Gum received a lot of criticism in the game because many players saw that she was just a rich, young daughter who threw her weight about using money and didn't feel disgraceful at all. I'm just fortunate to be born into a rich family. I have the money to spend while you poverty-stricken peasants got nothing. Hahaha, I will infuriate you all to death!
If she was only verbally arrogant, she wouldn't provoke that much resentment from the other players. After all, although young players dominated the game, there were still mature adults too. An ordinary pay-to-win player treated her as a pampered young lady and their hearts couldn't grieve over what their eyes couldn't see. Unfortunately, Mini Bubble Gum relied on her extreme personality and came up with the 'Treating foes as friends' insane technique. Thereafter, she dominated the arena and rarely did she face worthy opponents. Her name had always been in the top five player rankings. There were spiteful players who satirized her for obtaining legendary equipment by splurging money in order to achieve her results. As a result, she started a thread in the forums stating that she was capable of buying legendary equipment and get into the top five while worthless crap like the other players couldn't even reach the top 5000 even if they had the money and equipment…
A rich, powerful, and smug person naturally gathered a lot of hate and dissatisfaction among the players.
Therefore, even in the guild, Mini Bubble Gum seldom had any close friends. This was also why she had always been Rhode's dedicated Cleric because he and Canary were the only ones capable of handling her. Perhaps Rhode could control her actions because they had known each other for a long time. They met each other after the Munn Kingdom was destroyed and he wanted to get revenge. Back then, he met Mini Bubble Gum who was also furious that her home was destroyed and she gathered players using money to take revenge on the Country of Darkness. They changed the course of the game once and once again, opening new chapters to the game by becoming the most influential force.
Before Rhode left the game, Mini Bubble Gum had matured a lot. As she grew older, she wasn't as hot-tempered like a gunpowder bucket that would explode once ignited. Besides, perhaps due to her satisfaction, she rarely debated with other players in the forums or game about meaningless matters. Unlike the past, not only did she stop wasting time in typing a whole passage of words to ridicule the other party, but she also stopped pursuing relentlessly and force those irritating players off the game. That was both physical and mental tortures. From another point of view, she was the role model of one who had loads of time and money on one's hands.
If Rhode and Mini Bubble Gum's relationship could be considered to have developed after understanding each other deeply, then Mini Bubble Gum and Canary's relationship could only be described using two words: natural enemies.

Canary stepped forward with a smile and held onto Bubble's shoulder.
"Bubble, stop fighting. Be good."
"… Yes, Big Sister."
Canary said softly and Bubble deflated like a leaking balloon. She grudgingly stared at the young noble and stopped speaking. Then, Rhode came forward. He truly wasn't interested in entertaining a quarrel of such low standard.
"We aren't here for sightseeing. We have something else to attend to, so we can't help you. Goodbye."
Rhode turned around while Canary patted on Bubble's shoulder once again as though to console her. Then, they left the place following his lead. The young noble's expression turned ashen. He puckered his brows and stared at the trio, clenching his fists. However, he didn't know what to say. At this moment, the leader who was standing quietly and observing their bicker said.
"Y-Young Master, let's go back. We'd better leave this place as soon as possible and find a place outside to regroup. Then…"
But, the young noble disrupted his words.
"No let's continue!"
"Young Master?"
"I must find my younger sister. You guys are hired by me and I have made my payment, so you've to heed my orders. I know my younger sister is still in the deep mountains!"
The young noble gritted his teeth and let out a snarl. The leader pondered in silence and let out a helpless sigh.

Lize stood before the heavy door with a hesitant expression. She mustered up her courage, sucked in a deep breath, and knocked firmly. Then, she heard the voice she knew so well.
"Come in."
Lize ground her teeth and pushed the door open. Marlene was sitting by the table with a book in hand. She looked away from the book and widened her eyes curiously as soon as she spotted Lize.
"Lize, it's late now. Is anything the matter?"
"Yes… Marlene."
Lize felt that her throat was rather dry. She rubbed her sleeves anxiously and gazed at the ground.
"Yes… Marlene… I… have something important to… let you know… So… I…"
Marlene gazed silently. She laid down the book and approached Lize.
"What's wrong?"
"It's… It's…"
Lize felt suffocated as though boulders weighing a thousand kilograms were pressing on her chest. She could almost hear her violent heartbeats. She gritted her teeth and forced herself to look into Marlene's eyes.
"It's regarding… Mr. Rhode…"
"Rhode…"
Marlene cocked her head to one side and nodded subsequently.
"I see. Lize, this isn't the place to talk about it. Follow me."
Marlene checked her attire before heading out the room while Lize followed with her shaky hands on her chest. Both of them entered the hall and down the staircase. Then, they arrived at the spacious hall in the underground. Marlene raised her staff and chanted softly to light up a dazzling radiance.
"M-Marlene?"
Lize asked worriedly as soon as the space before her transformed into whiteness. She didn't expect that Marlene would bring her to the training ground in the Sphere of Mystery. What was she trying to do?
At this moment, Marlene turned around and extended her right hand.
The air around her vibrated and flickering rays of light coalesced into razor-sharp blades that were aimed at Lize.
"Alright, we can start talking about it now, Lize."
Marlene revealed a smile as she gazed at Lize who was stricken into silence.


Rhode is a legendary guild leader of the most influential guild in the VRMMO, Dragon Soul Continent. In order to cope with the death of his beloved sister, he dived into the game for seven long years. Li Xiandao was really engrossed in the book and the figure that appeared behind him didn't disturb him either. It just looked at him silently.
Only after Li Xiandao fully recorded the Book of War did he notice the figure.
"You are the Book of War?" Li Xiandao asked.
"Yes, I am." The person was a middle-aged man with neatly-combed, black hair. He wore a long robe and looked really solemn. His expression seemed really fierce; he didn't look like a person who was easy to get close to.
But this was only an outer appearance that didn't have much to do with how he really was deep down.
The Book of War said, "You are the new owner of the Bank of the Universe?"
Li Xiandao nodded his head.
"The last Master loaned us all out, so can you redeem us all back? How long have you taken over the bank for?" The Book of War asked.
Li Xiandao thought about it and said, "Around a month!"
"Hmm, it is still a really short time, but since you could redeem the depository, it shows that you have done well. At least you are different from the last owner." Book of War didn't bother to hide his disdain and dislike towards the last owner.
Li Xiandao asked, "Since you gave birth to your own consciousness and are in charge of this giant book empire, can you help me with something?"
The Book of War asked curiously, "What help do you need?"
After all, this was the new owner and he seemed decent, so the Book of War was willing to try to get close.
If he was the same as the last owner, then the Book of War was planning to sleep for another 10,000 years or so.
"Help me train an invincible army." Li Xiandao said as he stared at the Book of War. 
The Book of War was the most suitable book for an army to learn from and along with the invincible war formation techniques in it, the army would be unstoppable.

Li Xiandao led the way out of the Ten Thousand Country Book Depository and the Book of War followed behind him.
They came to the mountain peak where the Time Hall was. 
Li Xiandao invited the Book of War to enter, "You will understand once you enter."
Book of War's main body was a book. He flew in mid-air and an illusionary body floated in front of him. This body was his spirit.
He pushed open the door and felt a flame surge towards it. Under the intense heat of the flames, he looked on in shock.

The Book of War took one look and was stunned. He hadn't felt such excitement in a really long time. 
"Say no more, I will be their teacher, I will train them into the strongest army in the world. Even the Celestial King will be easily crushed." The Book of War praised them. He had so much love for these 10,000 mini Flame Kings right now.
The potential they had was just too high and he would be in charge of teaching them right from the start.
They wouldn't need too much training and would become an invincible presence.
The Book of War found his past passion. He had a new target, which was to create an invincible army.
Li Xiandao smiled in satisfaction. After he read the contents of the Book of War, he knew right away that it was the most suitable teacher for the mini Flame Kings. 
With it, the mini Flame Kings' future was much better than their father.
"From now onwards, you will be their teacher, coach, and mentor. I will hand them over to you." Li Xiandao said seriously.
The Book of War said solemnly, "Give me some time and I will return you an invincible army."
Li Xiandao nodded his head in satisfaction and took in a deep breath, "The most important thing is to have a meeting to discuss their future lives."
The Book of War didn't understand why Li Xiandao wanted to discuss this, but he didn't object.

These were all the members of the first meeting of the Bank of the Universe. 
There was a long table in the Trading Hall. Li Xiandao sat down and said, "The main matter to be discussed today is the Flame Kings."
The other people didn't say a word and listened quietly.
Book of War frowned, "Is there a problem with them?"
Li Xiandao looked towards Seven.
Seven laughed awkwardly and said, "Everything is alright with them. The only problem is that they eat too much."
Everyone was stunned.
They eat too much?
What did that mean?
"10,000 of them consume a million God Source a day. This is already old data. Now that they have grown up, their rate of consumption has increased to two million a day. The treasures we got from the Ancient Dragon Tomb can only last for half a month." Seven said helplessly.
The Book of War was silent.
He didn't expect that they would consume so much!
He also knew that Li Xiandao had just taken over and didn't have many resources, so they had to solve this problem quickly.
Michael and Tian Guangming were shocked. They didn't expect them to consume so much.
Heaven Heart and Gabriel were taking care of them from the start, so they knew about it. They just kept silent.

Moon Celestial loaned a high-quality face, to be returned in 10,000 years. If overdue, she will pay with her life!
Time Immemorial Sage loaned 10,000 years in life from the Bank of the Universe in order to break through. After he breaks through, he will pay back 10,000 years. If late, he must pay back 10 times the amount!
Li Xiandao looked at these debts and at the empty Bank of the Universe. He made his mind up to become a true expert, to find all these supreme beings to get back the overdue debts one by one!
A powerless mortal had became the biggest creditor in the Nine Heavens and Ten Lands and even the entire Celestial World!

I was made to apologize but I refused to do so because I did nothing wrong. Screw her, I have nothing to apologize for and I am not bowing my head to someone else who is weaker than myself. 

= "I will not lower my head to someone who is in the wrong. Such a foolish act is something should only be done by buffoons who have no spine." =

I refused to apologize and Solstice insisted on making me apologize, we were now stuck in a loop that will not be resolved until one of us bends. The person who will bend over will not be me. 

Solstice was angered by my actions and punished me by staying in the orphanage's library where the books and knowledge book was kept. I was ecstatic by this punishment.

Solstice wanted to have the three boys I punished follow me in the library, I think she is hoping to see if we can work things out. I think that would be an impossible task. Or something on that line. 

= "You boys will be spending the night together in the library and reflect on what you did. Try to escape and you will get no breakfast." =

I was led in a library and the three boys followed me. Solstice asked us to get along before leaving us alone. I threatened the three to not make a ruckus else I will make them shut their mouths. 

Someone shouted back and asked me threateningly, = "Or what? You dirty half-breed!" =

I punched him and knocked him out cold, but he dared cold me dirt and I added a kick on the abdomen. 

He resembled a cooked prawn after that and the other two dragged the other one's body away in fear of receiving my fist. 

It was on the day that I learned of what a library is that I found something that truly interested me. 

Although there were things I have already learned in both the hospital and through the World Cube. 

I began to read anyway, the books I read consists of stories about people who called themselves as [Seekers]. 

Seekers were people who gathered in a place called a [Seeker Union] or [Seeker Guild]. 

Many famous Seekers had their stories written on books, it was enjoyable to read and imaging their adventures.

People who called themselves mages interested me even more.

Beings who can control the four fundamental elements of the world to cast a spell and inflict injuries to their enemies with space in between them.

The complicated and elegant way of using one's mind to plan ahead before using a spell. The delicate way of implementing spells in different situations.

It was wondrous and I was drawn to these stories, and before long, the night became day and I had to do my task before continuing my reading session. 

After learning of storybooks, I yearned for them more and more. 

And with dozens of books and not one child wanting to read them, I found myself reading a book all by myself, only moving away when I need to eat, take a bath, poop, piss, and do finish my tasks. 

I will also be forced to go to my room and sleep at night which displeased me. 

I wanted to read these storybooks, the orphanage had what you call a light bulb that could light up a whole room.

Back when I used to live with Von, the only light we had was a lamp so it made it hard for me to read. But with the bright and wondrous light bulb, I could read like it was daytime.

But because of my curfew, it was almost impossible for me to read at night as much as I would want. So, I device a plan that could let me read as much as I wanted. 

That plan was simple, I beat up the three boys and I would be sent to the library to reflect. I nodded my head and implemented the plan and beat the three boys for two days straight and gained access to the library at night by using this method. 

But after I beat the three boys a third time, the plan did not work and I was busted. 

I gained no entry to the library that night and the boys were beaten up by me for nothing. What could have they done to suffer such injustice? 

For their sacrifice to be in vain, it was such a sad sight. 

But Solstice did have enough of me acting like so and she learned of my intentions. So, she gave me the right to enter the library whenever I wanted to. 

But not that night because that night, I was punished to go to sleep early and forget about books. 

Coming back to the present time. I now gain access to the library and I now finish every storybook inside the library. I moved into reading books about spells and mages rather than stories about them.

Now, I want to become a mage myself. So, I opened a book about mages and read through the fundamentals of becoming a mage. 

In the seventh month of the year 982 N.E, a full year after I arrived in the orphanage, I finished all the books yet gained useless information about mages. 

In the past year I spent in the Shining Sun Orphanage, I became recluse and my distance towards the other children increased. Which was both a shame and something good?

It was a shame because I think I finally downed my smile and my attitude towards socialization. And good because I could focus on my study of magic and spells. 

But even after a year of researching and trying different methods. I failed to make a connection with any of the four elements, [Fire], [Water], [Wind], and [Earth].

It was tough for me to make a connection with them because of something peculiar. 

A child that awakens as a mage will already make a connection with an element once they create their Mana Core. The instant a Mana Core was created, they will automatically be connected to the element they have the highest affinity.

It is at this time where one of the more old ways of measuring one's talents comes to light. 

Any child that awakens will connect to at least one of the four fundamental elements, but because I already have a Mana Core when I awaken, it seems like I am a rare case. 

I had not said anything about having mana to Solstice, I do not want to attract attention to myself. I had learned many things on stories I have read and many of their stupid mistakes was showing off when they had no strength or backing to protect themselves. 

Bottom line is, I am in a tough position where I have to figure out a way how I can make a connection.

A month passed and I am still left with no solution, at this point of time, a young man came into the orphanage. 

The young man had black hair opposite of my white hair. He had black eyes when I have red, I am comparing his features to mine because I fail to distinguish what is a handsome and a beautiful face to what is not.

They say I am handsome, so my basis was my own face. 

Going back, the young man that came in was seven years old and is weird as he chose to be alone and was somewhat similar to me other than the fact he has no ability to do any chores. 
But he was oddly more likable and had many children flock around him. 

In the first three months, I ignored his existence and focused on my own things. But as time went on, and a month passed, other children became jealous of the attention the child was getting and he was harassed and ignored by other boys. 

At some point, I managed to witness five people surrounding him. 

They were ganging up on him and I found it entertaining that someone was getting hurt so I stayed and watched to see what would happen. 

Everything was happening on the back of the library and I was watching in a barely noticeable window. 

The five boys pushed him around and after one bad push and the boy fell down. 

He finally had enough and stood his ground. He fought back, but not with his fist. Instead, he held a red pendant that was dangling over his neck. A red flash of light escaped his body. 

The boy opened his mouth and uttered, = "Igni!" =

A small ball of flames flew out of his hands and hit a nearby rock, a mini-explosion occurred. 

Boom.

It did not heat any of the boys, but it scared the living out of them and they fell onto their asses. 

The boy who cast the spell looked down upon them and I heart him said coldly, = "Mess with me and that will land on any of you five." =

I was clueless about the ways of the world, but I can supplement that with my ardent desire for knowledge.

I was powerless, but I now wield powers no mortal can hope to comprehend.

I was kind, but I learned ruthlessness is the only way to live in a world that wants my head. 

Generals, Kings, Emperors, and Gods are just some being who gained recognition but all of them like everyone else.

I am a being no one wanted to exist, I am a scourge, but I will rise and be revered by all.

And if they do not bend their knees? Their fates will be sealed underneath my feet.  

Kneel before the one who treads the Monstrous Path.

We were literally in a pit of darkness. We couldn't see our surroundings and we had no idea where we were dropped.
"Ugh..are you alright Julia.." Jace asks.
"Yea-Ahhh!!" I yelp.
"Julia! What's wrong?" Jace worrily asks.
"N-nothing, something cold wet my neck..probably water," I reassure him.
"You may now take off your folds." says the female host.
We were in a dark cold room, like a tunnel with icy walls. The only light we had were LED lights hung on the walls.
"Okay, the props and decorations are amazing, but I think they went a little too far this year," I said.

"This is part of the puzzle I guess," Jace says.

"Ligers, as you go through the maze, you will find mini chests with riddles on how to leave the maze. Look out for prizes, especially SURPRIZES. Whoever finishes first wins!" the female host finishes.

We found the mini chest hanging on the LED cable. Jace opens the chest and unfolds a piece of paper and reads out loud,
 "When light 0peN5 a path, it must beG1n to Descend." 
"When light opens a path, it must begin to descend. Hm.. I've seen this type of puzzle before. The numbers replace letters and act as some code," I say," If you focus on the patterns that the riddle has, there are capital letters and numbers. But if you change the numbers into letters and rearrange them, it can form words: W0N5G1D to WONSGID. You read it backwards as DIG SNOW,"I say.
"Impressive detective," Jace praises me.
"But where would we dig..? When light opens a path, it must begin to descend..." I mumble to myself.
"Maybe there'll be more clues along the way," Jace says and we continue. 
As we walked further, the path began to dimm into darkness. 
"Ah, the staff must've missed this part," I pointed out the disconnected LED cable on the floor that trailed the rest of the unlit path. There was a small dome of snow next to the lights.
"I was thinking, maybe the riddle meant that the light that descends is the LED lights on the floor and the place we must dig is where the unconnected LED plug is at," Jace pops in.
He starts digging through icy slush and finds a small box and opens it, a key.
"This must be the key for one of the mini chests. But before we go, we should reconnect the LED cables so we can see the path better," says Jace.
The path began to split into two different directions, right side lit, left side unlit.
"Which way should we go?," Jace asks.
"Um, right?" I reply.
"Okay, right it is, but if it doesn't work out we can connect the cables to the left side," Jace replies.

It was a dead end so we turned back and went to the left path. There was another split path with a small box sitting on the floor between them. It had a mini lock.
"Wait, there were letters on the key, maybe it's a code?" wonders Jace.
"Bike"
"Hey, if we were to replace the letters to numbers like the first puzzle, maybe that would be the code!"
The chest unlocked and inside was a cube stone.
"What is this..?" Jace wondered.
"A goodluck charm?" I laughed nervously.

There was a huge icy gate with a mailbox next to it. The gravings on the gate said, " Taking is rewarded, but giving is the key."

"I think we have to put our cube in the mailbox and take what is inside then leave out the gate," I said.
"Huh?! Really?" pyzzled Jace.
"Yeah, the pictures on the mailbox make it seem that way," I look back.
"Oh. I thought you figured out the riddle," he replied.
"Well, it sounds like the key to the riddle? I think." I said.

The icy floor grumbled as the host announced, "Ligers, we've been notified that there is an incoming landslide on the east side that may affect us. It'll pass like small earthquakes, do not panic and slowly move to the exit. You're almost there guys! Keep pushing! Staff members will come lead you back to the campsite. For now, just come back safely!"
The grumbling begain to grow louder and rumble the icy walls and floors. 

Jace looks to me, "Let's hurry back to the others-"

The path behind us was flooding with snow and parts of the icy walls were crumbling away.
"Come on!" Jace beckoned me to the gate, but the snow pushed its way toward our exit and caught us in its blanket of white. 

It was cold. My leg was hurting again. I could hear Jace's muffled voice and scraping of ice.
"Julia!" He pulled me into his little tunnel of ice.
We were stuck burried in the snow.

"Julia, can you hear me! Julia, staff are still coming, but I need you to stay awake with me!"

"-hurts.."
"What is it?"
"It hurts..."
"What hurts?!"
He pats me down.
"My leg..."
"Your leg? It's bleeding-" he lifts my leg.
"AGHHH!" I gasped and winced of the pain.
Jace takes off his jacket and sweater and wraps my leg with his sweater.
"Leo..Layla..Lian.. They're gonna worry.." I started to tear up. I was panicking from the darkness, the cold, that we might not be rescued, and the pain in my leg.
"Hey, it's okay, come here." Jace gently helps me sit up next to him. "Everything is going to be alright. You've got me. I'm not going anywhere. Help will come by. They know where our exits are." He wipes my tears with his sleeve.
"Are you cold?"
I nod. He hugs me close and pulls his jacket around us. It was quite big for a middle schooler.
"How's your leg?"
"Like pins and needles with a giant elaphant on top," I laugh a little.
"Are you hungry?"
"A little." He reaches into his jackets pocket and pulls out a cookie and hands it to me.
"I'm not really hungry so you eat it. Instead of falling asleep in this cold, let's just talk. They'll find us eventually. Look, my phone still works so I'm going to call Nate then we can keep talking okay?" I nod.
He told Nate about the situation then handed me the phone.
"Julia! Are you okay?" It was the triplets.
"Yeah, I'm okay" I  sniffled and choked down tears.
"The teachers are going to go help you. So-so hang in there," they cried.
"Don't worry, Jace is here so don't cry. I'll be back soon before you know it." I reassure them.
"Julia, the medical staff will come as soon as possible. Help is on the way. We have Jace's location so they'll definitely find you guys, So don't worry, okay? Everyone is safe, so focus on being safe."
"Okay," I wipe my tears," Thanks Nate." then I handed the phone to Jace.

"Yeah. Okay. 
Yes, I got it. Kay. Ninety percent. Call me if anything changes. Kay bye."

He turns to me. "Uh, so. Um, we don't have to talk if you don't want to. I just thought it'd be nice to pass the time."
"We can talk. I don't mind."
He smiles, "So what do you want to do when we get out?"
"Eat haha, it's passed lunch time."
"I heard there's going to be leftovers and cake. What else do you want to do?"
"I still want to go to the cave with everyone. The cave just seems so, so mysterious and adventurous. But my leg..."
"Don't worry, I'll just carry you there!" He laughed.
"Thanks, but it's okay. I'm a little heavy so that would probably be hard on you."
"Nah, I can just carry you there and then if you want to walk, I'll help you. I'm sure they might have some crutches. Some students get into accidents at the skii lodge, so they might have it. Alright! Sounds like a plan!"

And we heard shoveling and scraping of snow and ice.
"Jace! Are you there?!" says a staff member.
"Yeah!"
"Okay, we'll get you guys out and then we'll head back to the camp!"
"Kay! See, help came. Is your leg okay?"
"Yeah, still hurts though."

The medics team carried me to the car and we drove back to the camp. Jace sat next to me through the drive.

-Nurse's office-

"We have crutches but you're still going to have to rest and be gentle on your leg. Luckily you didn't fracture any bones but your leg has a small  crack. I'm assuming it must've been one of the broken walls that slammed onto your leg during the tremors. Try to avoid walking on your leg, other than that, enjoy your youth. Okay, you can get out of here. Go, go have fun," the nurse laughed.

"Lia! We missed you! Are you okay?" The triplets hugged me and cried.
"Yeah, I'm okay" I hugged them back and cried.

"Let's go guys. We'll head to the cave and then have some dinner," Jace says.

The Ancient King Series Dungeon in Normal Mode may be easy, but the difficulty would multiply in Heroic Mode. This was due to a crucial element and that was the strength of players' equipment. 
Fighting an Ancient King when fully equipped with Holy equipment could be a breeze while conversely, it may be a difficult feat. 
There were five bosses in the Eternal Light dungeon. The first four bosses shared a similar design, they were all Light Cavaliers adorned in golden armor. 
The four Light Cavaliers were armed with spears and proficient in blitz attacks. Extreme speed would not be the correct term to describe them as their speed was equivalent to lightning. 
Li Yi cleared the path of monsterlings but spared the Light Cavaliers, kiting these four Light Cavaliers until the end to encounter the Light Emperor. 
Killing the four Light Cavaliers before the Light Emperor would earn an achievement, Courtesy Call on His Imperial Majesty. 
The Light Emperor had a similar appearance to a Light Cavalier, but its body was much larger. It also held a different weapon, a sparkling two-handed greatsword. 
The Eternal Light's scene was set in a golden palace. The Light Emperor stood within the palace, waiting for players to come forth. 
Li Yi pulled four the Light Cavaliers, kiting them towards the Light Emperor before unleashing his Territory Barrier to its fullest, to kill them in one go. 
With a golden Achievement Panel popping out, Courtesy Call on His Imperial Majesty had been achieved. 
"I was born from the light. In my world, there's only endless battle..."
Reciting the prologue, the Light Emperor's body transformed into countless mini light balls, swooshing towards Li Yi... 
This was a powerful move as even the slightest contact with these mini light balls would create a chain shock reaction that would end in death.
Tst —
Li Yi teleported within his Territory Barrier, dodging the Arcane Missiles-like mini light balls with ease. 
Szh szh szh... 
The mini light balls continued to pursue Li Yi, prompting him to teleport repeatedly to evade. This phenomenon went on five times before the mini light balls halted their pursuit and reformed the Light Emperor. 
The Light Emperor, whose body was flickering in golden light, started using Lighting Speed Blitz to strike at Li Yi with its two-handed greatsword. 
Tst tst tst — 
With Li Yi as the locked-on target, it struck with Lightning Speed Blitz continuously. 
A main tank, during this period, would need to activate their life-preserving skills to persevere through. A healer would need to dispel the Shocked status as getting hit twice by the Light Emperor's Lightning Speed Blitz would trigger a shock that could kill a main tank, even with a million HP. 
Li Yi was no main tank and his DEF was nothing out of the ordinary. The enhancement from his 812 Holy attribute points could only defend against a single one of the Light Emperor's Lightning Speed Blitzes. 
Out of the three continuous blitzes, he had to dodge two of them!
Li Yi teleported to dodge in advance, effortlessly evading the first two Lightning Speed Blitzes. He remained still for the last strike, taking it head-on. 
His HP immediately dropped by half. 
Tzh tzh. Li Yi's body was flashing with lightning. The Shocked status had been applied to him. If he were to endure any more attacks, the Shocked status would activate, multiplying the damage taken by 5 - 10 times. 
The Light Emperor's body turned into countless mini light balls, but they did not go after Li Yi. Instead, they fluttered around, filling the entire palace. 
If Li Yi did not take the Lightning Speed Blitz, these tiny light balls would continue to pursue him, and Light Emperor would use Lightning Speed Blitz again. This cycle would continue endlessly. 
To prevent this mad cycle from happening, it was imperative to take a Lightning Speed Blitz. It was only when someone in the party has the Shocked status applied that the cycle would discontinue. 
Li Yi raised his arm to fire an Overlord Arrow. A Flaming Phoenix soared and bombarded all targets up ahead. 
The floating mini light balls, upon contact, started sizzling and producing electricity amongst themselves, encaging the palace in a net of electricity. 
Li Yi remained still and was unscathed. 
After the electrical cage, the mini light balls started to build up. It was then, that the HP bar above the Light Emperor's head was displayed. It was 300 million! 
Water Clone, God Mode, harnessed Powered-up Arrow. 
Li Yi raced against time as he drew his Orange Quality Bow back to fire a Powered-up Arrow and Shooting Star Arrow Hail before the Light Emperor made its move. 
The Light Emperor's 300 million HP was knocked down to 160 million right away. A radiant shield surfaced over its body, gaining immunity towards Li Yi's subsequent attack. 
The 9-layer Light Radiant Shield had 2 million HP per layer. Before the Radiant Shield was penetrated, the Light Emperor could not be harmed. 
Li Yi switched to Stinger Arrows and normal attacks, firing at Light Emperor while on the move. 
As he was at Territory Rank 1, Li Yi could teleport 12 times within his Territory Barrier. He would not be able to avoid the Light Emperor's lightning speed in with regular bodily movements, so he teleported to evade the attacks. 
This was a dangerous phase. Any attack from the Light Emperor could trigger shock and with him already in Shocked status, any contact with the Light Emperor would bring him down. 
Fortunately, Li Yi's Territory was powerful enough and his 12 teleportations did not go to waste. Once he had reached the teleportation limit, the Light Emperor's Radiant Shield layers had been stripped off. 
The 12 consecutive teleportations had exhausted his Territory Power. With that, his Territory Barrier shattered and disappeared. 
"Come out, girl!"
Chancing on a brief interval, Li Yi summoned Alleria. 
He did not call upon Alleria sooner to prevent her from triggering the Shocked status and putting him in a compromising position. This was no longer a problem because Light Emperor had run towards the center of the palace. Raising its two-handed greatsword to harness its power, it was ready to initiate Wipeout Light.
The Light Emperor had a signature move called Light Energy Burst. It would first build up its power, prompting a 20-seconds channeling bar above its head that could not be disrupted. However, this channeling period would lengthen when the Light Emperor is attacked. Hence, players needed to give their all and open fire during this phase. 
Once the power charging ends, the Light Emperor will unleash a full-screen killer move, Light Energy Burst, also known as Wipeout Light. 
The light would last for 3 seconds and any contact with its radiance results in death. 
"Shooting Star Arrow Hail!"
Li Yi hid behind Alleria, releasing a second round of Shooting Star Arrow Hail.
There was only one reason for summoning Alleria and that was to act as his human shield... 
It could not be helped. The pets Li Yi owned were not that big. It would be risky to use them to block Wipeout Light. At first glimpse, the tall white elf Alleria was the best candidate. 
"Human, beware. I sense danger."
Adding a bunch of buffs on Li Yi, Alleria held her shield and fastened her gaze on the Light Emperor. 
Li Yi who was attacking with full force paid no attention to her. 
With his Territory Power exhausted, his ATK plummeted. The key to taking care of the Light Emperor now rest on his firepower. 
The Light Emperor's HP was swiftly dropping, and so was the countdown on the channeling bar. Right when the channeling period ended, Li Yi managed to empty its HP. 
"Quiver under my brilliance, mortal!"
The Light Emperor may have died but its Light Energy Burst would still be unleashed. 
A golden light interspersed with lightning exploded like a heatwave to its surroundings. 
Poor human shield, Alleria was killed instantly but Li Yi behind her was without a scratch. 
"This... This is impossible..." the Light Emperor collapsed onto the ground.

"I really want to go to big cities. I heard that girls in big cities can wear beautiful clothes and skirts, eat all kinds of delicious snacks and food, go to school by car in the morning, and dance with friends in the evening at a ball. Wow!"

Alice often went to the forests of the Andromeda Mountain to collect firewood. Sealed in the deepest part of the underworld, according to the rules of hell, Lynn Ahenaten became the new master of the Styx. His memory was erased, like those of all his predecessors. He went and stood on the Boat of the Soul.
Lynn Ahenaten, dressed in a black robe, looked into the distance, bewildered. It took a long time for him to steer the Boat of the Soul towards the gates of hell instinctively.
There was a new arrival of souls that needed him to bring them over. That was his duty as the master and ferryman of the Styx.
Cetisius nodded, satisfied, and watched Lynn Ahenaten go far away into the distance before he returned to the Temple of the Death God and began his complex and repetitive work. Those groups of Deathbringers gathered around the Styx dispersed in an instant.

That monster was approaching Ibro rapidly that made him show fear. He wielded his staff and moved back at once. He muttered:
"Basic Black Blow skill."
He pointed to the previous location he was at. When the ray of light touched the ground, Ibro didn't stop to check its results, but he said to Dronil via his thoughts:
"Now, use your skill now."
"It's called a service, not a skill."
Ibro felt tense and screamed in his mind:
"Fine, use your service now!"
"Why are you so tense? I have already used it."
Ibro looked rapidly towards the tree. He used his observation skills at once.
"Treenan mini-boss monster: lvl35 mini-boss grade monster. Intelligent class monster. Sealed state monster. HP: 44k/44k."
Ibro felt huge excitement in his heart. Now he could kill this monster. When the Higher Elite monster reached that tree, it started to attack it vigorously. Ibro was in complete control of this monster.
Also, his skill was causing more damage to both of them. Although that tree monster was faking itself like a tree, but once it got hit it revealed its true shape. It was a long thin leopard.
Ibro felt it was like a snake, not a leopard. That was also a close distance monster. The Higher Elite monster was like a tiger but with long eight canines that resembled long fangs.
A close battle erupted between the two of them. Ibro kept his distance watching this brutal fighting. Each second passed, each one of them lost some HP due to his skill.

He depended on the vengeance nature of that tiger and the intelligence and pride of that leopard. Ibro depended on the huge desire of that tiger to get revenge finally on this leopard.
This mini-boss monster was as intelligent as players. If a player was in its place then he would feel humiliated from this insult. A very weak monster that it didn't care about dared to directly attack it.
The fight turned into a vengeance vs. pride battle. Ibro kept checking both monsters' info. When that mini-monster HP decreased than 20%, he felt anxious.
He knew that 20% threshold was unique to higher grade monsters. Special monster like that leopard must have a unique transformation.
Ibro's fear wasn't without ground, as that monster changed its green skin color to become crimson red. Its eyes began to change. They became four eyes instead of two. Then it became ten instead of four.
"Hurry stops it. This monster wanted to evolve to the next class now. He is using my seal power to stimulate this evolution. Hurry stops it!"
Ibro didn't doubt Dronil's warning. He raised his staff and used two skills at once:

Although he got nearly 1m XP, it wasn't enough for him to reach the next level. Ibro knew that it needed him around 13m XP to get to level 15.
He didn't care about that, what he cared about were these two monsters drops. When he looked at them he found two groups of drops in front of him. He moved fast towards the drops of that mini-boss monster.
He found around 50 pieces there, each needed him to observe first to know its info. When he finished he found that he got 5 pieces of equipment, 40 different types of gold grade materials that were used in forging, 5 scrolls, 4 skill books, and one unidentified item.
The material he stocked at once in his Inventory. Although he didn't intend to become a blacksmith, but his alliance would be in need of such rare materials.
He observed that five equipment with regret, as only one of them was useful to his class.
