"Spiritual Sense (Rank 1) mastered. [Mapping] added to the system."
Yale smiled after hearing the system's notification; he had spent more than a year practicing with his Spiritual Sense before being able to master it.
Yale went to check how his recently awakened Mapping function worked and found that it showed the information of all the maps he had seen, but only the area he had covered with his Spiritual Sense were showed clearly.
There was a clear difference between information in a written map and information he collected himself; the precision was utterly different. The Mapping only used the written maps information to have an approximation; the most trustful information was always the one obtained personally.
Furthermore, Mapping worked as a passive Spiritual Sense, in the area near him he was able to detect people, even discerning among allies and enemies. People who Yale had met before and didn't have any conflict with him were marked as allies, others as unknown and anyone with murder intent as an enemy, disregarding if Yale knew or not that person.
However, he wasn't able to know the exact identity without using the Spiritual Sense actively to check it.
The Mapping function was an excellent radar for traveling as Yale would be able to know any surprise attack without the need of being continually using the Spiritual Sense.
After looking at how Mapping worked, Yale went to the Quest Menu to check the new sub-quest that had appeared after finishing the previous one.
"Reach 7-star Novice Rank. Reward: Legacy Skill."
Yale didn't know how to feel looking to the new sub-quest, the reward was incredible, and the condition was something that he would do someday, but Yale felt that he would need to much time to accomplish it while looking at his current stats in the Stats Menu.
"Name: Yale | Age: 13 | Origin Level: 12 |Origin Points: 172/172"
"Vitality: 163 | Strength: 175 | Agility: 175 | Intelligence: 200 | Wisdom: 200 | Dexterity: 188"
Yale had only managed to increase one star in the time he spent practicing to master his Spiritual Sense.
At the moment he had advanced, Intelligence and Wisdom maxed again due to his soul power, but the other stats turned more difficult to increase. In the end, Dexterity that was his lowest stat before, turned into the third best stat thanks to the constant practice of Spiritual Sense.
Yale decided to stop thinking about the sub-quest, he would obtain it someday, but that day was still far away. 
At that moment, Yale just wanted to start his travel back to the Revgen Empire. He had been in an unknown position for Ange, Swordmad and the others for an extremely long time.
When Yale told Oscro and Julie about his intentions to leave, both had totally different reactions.
Julie simply smiled and wished a good travel to Yale, but Oscro was shocked. He wasn't expecting that someday Yale would leave; the company wasn't like when it was founded and needed to rely on Yale, even if he left Trade City there wouldn't be too much impact, but Oscro had assumed that Yale would still there enjoying the good life of being a founder a Diamond ranked company.
After telling that to them, Yale used his badge to contact Tar because he didn't plan to cross the whole Zuatania Republic, Yale would use a portal to the city nearest to the border with the Anpaes Kingdom. 
There was still some distance until the border from there, but Yale would save a lot of time since Trade City was at the opposite extreme of the Zuatania Republic.
Yale went to the teleportation portal inside the merchant's association headquarters that same day, he didn't plan to inform anyone else about his depart nor delay it more.
The only ones who went to say goodbye to him were Tar, Oscro, Julie and the elder who Yale had met in the port and had taught him the fundamentals of forging.
"Thank you for all. I hope we will meet again someday."
Yale really hoped to meet with them again in the future. He liked a lot Trade City, but he couldn't be away from the Revgen Empire more time. After all, the travel back would be long and his status in the eyes of everyone there is the one of a disappeared person.
"You must return, at that time our company will already be the best of Trade City. We started the company together, so you must return to celebrate it."
Oscro was serious with his words, his meeting with Yale changed his future, and he was dedicated to making the company reach the highest position in the city.
"Don't worry Yale. Even if Oscro can't do it, I will make the company into the number one. Furthermore, I will ensure that no one will forget you and Wyba until your return to Trade City."
When Oscro said it, it seemed a normal promise with high expectations that wouldn't be fulfilled, the company was already at the top, but turning the best company in the city wasn't easy to accomplish even to them. However, when Julie said it, Yale felt that probably the Thousand Frost Wolves Company would really reach the number one position in Trade City before he returned.
"Yale, you must return after becoming stronger. I will ensure that you will have a chance to use our precious ship to go to the other side of the ocean. Once you return from there, I want to hear the stories about your adventures."
The elder himself had only dreamed about what existed at the other side of the ocean, but he had never felt confident in his battle prowess to survive, it was far too dangerous after all, but he thought that Yale would return to Trade City with enough power to go to the other side of the sea and return.
"That isn't something you can promise alone, but well if Yale wants to use the ship after returning, I will let him use it."
Tar laughed after finishing speaking; he was certain that Yale would be strong enough to travel to the other side of the ocean in the future. The elder authority alone wasn't enough to let someone use the ship, but Tar authority was more than enough.
"Don't forget that thing I asked you before."
Yale had asked Tar to give some things to the kid in the village where he awakened some memories. Yale didn't forget that he wanted to help that little kid, but the kid was still too young, and Yale didn't know when will return, so he entrusted Tar the work.
"Don't worry; I won't forget it."
To Tar that was a small matter and he didn't even need to do it personally, there are a lot of people in the association to handle those small matters.
After hearing Tar's words, Yale turned and entered into the portal without saying anything more.
After Yale disappeared into the portal, everyone returned to their normal activities.
Julie returned to her room and sighed.
"This is all I can help you. I am not strong enough to travel together with you. I am sorry master, but I know my limits, and I can't help him more, at least I will ensure that Yale will have a place to return."
Julie was surprised when she saw Yale's sword for the first time although she hadn't shown it in her face.
She also knew very well that sword, and she also knew Yale's true identity since that moment.
Before becoming famous in Trade City, Julie had traveled in order to make money and improve her life, but in the end, she didn't live any merchant life at that time as everyone thought.
Julie just found a legacy, and there she obtained a lot of knowledge and abilities. Those abilities weren't only for battle, they were also to business, and how to use words to control people, that part suited very well her personality.
The legacy she had found while traveling was Zuatania's legacy. Thus, she was Zuatania's legacy disciple and could be considered like Tar's little sister due to it, but she remained that fact in secret by Zuatania's orders.
Zuatania had also told her that by accepting the legacy, she had also accepted helping the owner of that sword and told her a bit about Yale's past life. However, all that knowledge was impossible to transmit to others, even a mere remnant of Zuatania was able to force a contract into someone as weak as Julie.
Zuatania wanted that her legacy disciple was someone who helped Yale in his new life in her place, that was the main reason she left a legacy and used the same method as Tofesh to seal it until Yale's soul reappeared in the world.
A soul-bound item was the only way to determine if someone had reincarnated or not, as the item would react when the soul reappeared.
Zuatania had asked Tofesh for a synchronized token to activate when the Space-time Judgment Sword reacted. She asked for it before her soul started to dissipate, her original intention was to look for Yale immediately disregarding where he was, but she had to change her plans after her soul began to dissipate.
Julie had liked Yale's personality and wanted to help him even before knowing he was the one her master told her to help. Her personality was similar to Zuatania's, and that was the reason she was able to obtain the legacy.

In a universe where the great experts can reincarnate, Yale Roanmad reincarnated with almost no memories of his past life and didn't know who he was.

Despite the problem with his memories, Yale had obtained a strange legacy from his own past life the Last Wish System.

Yale, who remembered the pain of dying, decided to turn strong to avoid suffering the same pain again. Moreover, he also decided to investigate his own past life to remember who he was.

"I'M FUCKING GOING OUT!"

Verge screamed on top of his lungs inside the room. 

At last, I'm finally free. Getting stuck in here for days is no joke. If thirst and hunger won't kill me in here, boredom surely will.

Without having second thoughts, Verge dashed out of the room, afraid that the door will vanish any moment.

He grabbed the knob and turned it. He was thankful it was not locked or else he will probably go crazy again thinking on how to open it.

After turning the door, he quickly made his way out of the room.

He was expecting that the outside will be much more vibrant and full of life, unlike the atmosphere inside that room.

But it was all the same.

There was still no natural light. Only the illuminating walls provide lighting in the space. 

And this time, Verge found himself on seemingly damped hallways. The entire hallway was completely empty which gave Verge the frightening feeling that this place was abandoned for a reason.

He quickly hastened his pace. 

If I don't quickly get out of here, I feel like I would probably get in an unnecessary trouble.

Verge moved. 

He turned left, walked before going into another corner, and turned right. His movements were repetitive but each time he turned he's increasing his speed. This sudden increase is not because he felt someone or something is chasing him; he's currently in a state of panic.

After moving and trying to find his way out, he realized that he had grown very tired and weary. It seems like all the emotions suppressed inside that room had gone out. 

Much more, Verge is finding himself in the same place every turn and walk he makes. He found himself stuck unable to progress.

Fuck. Here I thought I was definitely out. To think I'm stuck in a fucking maze!

"Are the gods condemning me right now?" Verge asked himself the question.

Verge took a rest to analyze his situation when he remembered the game-like features he had.

That's right. I have a system. Maybe I can ask for a map.

"Is there a map?"

[ Opening Map… ]

Bingo! There really is.

"The system really is fucking OP," Verge commented before looking at the changing screen in front of him.

The screen in front of him showed a geographical map. The eye-catching gold circle on the map shows the exact position where he was at. The hallways were carved perfectly; each dent and cracks were carefully noted.

After seeing the map in front of him, Verge understood directly why he was trapped in this maze. 

All the hallways were connected with one another. And – 

"There no exit," Verge mumbled frantically seeing there was no door or opening in this place.

What the fucking fuck!? Is there something wrong with this place!?

But before Verge could actually curse his emotions out loud, another screen in front of him.

[ Map secret objects? ]

Verge stood frozen staring at the information on the screen.
Secret objects? You mean like treasure chests?

With a new opportunity laid out in front of him, Verge immediately answered, "Yes!"

[ Mapping in progress… 1% ]
[ Mapping in progress… 27% ]
[ Mapping in progress… 88% ]
[ Mapping in progress… 100% ]
[ Mapping Completed. Objects added in Map ]

Verge excitedly opened the map hoping to see the "objects." He was quite hopeful that these objects will give him some clues in geeing out.

Hmm?

Verge is staring at the Map with a dumbfounded face. 

There was only a single green rectangle added on the map. What even made him more dumbfounded is the location of the object; it was just right behind him!

Ha.Ha.Ha. 

Verge could only cry at this situation. After all, he was leaning against a wall. Does that mean he needs to break the wall to get the object out?

Verge could only force himself to move. He has no other way anyway.

Verge started finding cracks on the wall. He roamed all over the area but unfortunately found nothing except dust and pebbles. 

He also wants to make use of weapons or any blunt object to make the hole, but the information he had on the map right now is not really that helpful. He knows that he could only use his raw strength to get the object out unless he could think of another brilliant idea.

Verge sighed and leaned on the wall.

Out of the sudden, something was rumbling. At first, it was really weak; then it starts to get stronger and stronger.

Earthquake!?

Verge immediately ducked down and tried to hold onto the wall in panic. But as he was trying to take a tight hold on the walls, it started coming down.

Not into him, but downwards to the floor!

Verge was shocked to see the scene. He looked around and the same scenario plays. All the walls in the hallways are moving downwards as if the ground is slowly swallowing them.

Shit. I need to get hold of myself!

Verge slowly crawled away from the walls and positioned himself on the center of the hallways. He was really afraid to go down together with the walls.

Verge could only continue ducking. His head was also kept down and only his eyes are moving as they scan his surroundings.

The floor-swallowing-the-walls scene continued for minutes before it eventually died down. The shakes on the ground ceased. Silence only followed afterward.

Verge, after knowing everything was done, slowly stood up. 

He cautiously scanned the whole place. It was all the same, except for the fact the hallways, without the walls, have turned into a big empty room.

He looked at the ground where the walls have stood before. There was nothing outstanding to it. It seems like the ground throughout was the same and nothing sort of unordinary happened.

Verge started walking trying to find anything new. He walked into the far corner of the room where the walls still stood unperturbed. But sadly, there was nothing worth to be mentioned.

Verge opened the Map and found no new object being detected. He tried mapping once again, and the results are still the same.
What the hell is this?

After all that happened, nothing helpful occurred to him.

But out of a sudden, the sound of rumbling stones occurred. It was weaker than those sounds in the previous event. But his caught Verge completely off-guard causing him to fall to the ground on his butt. He was scared witless of walls now!

The rumbling continued and soon all the four walls on the room went up!

This was completely out of Verge's common sense. Verge could only stare at the scene with mouth wide open.

Soon, another scenery greeted Verge out of his state; it was the appearance of sunlight and plants! 

Verge rejoiced and dashed out of the room!

The continent of Acrea has been ruled by five kings in the past. These kings created the most powerful kingdoms and made humanity the strongest race. But all of a sudden, the last king among kings vanished without a trace.

Years from then, different kingdoms have now ruled the continent. The names of the kings were forgotten. Their castles lost in the maps. Their stories were buried silently.

Yet, unknown to the world, a true king has finally emerged.

18 Yun, Year 1660

Five days passed in the blink of an eye, nothing worth mentioning really happened unless you count being punished for sleeping in classes as important.

Vayne currently surrounded by mountains of books within the library skimming from pages to pages adding knowledge to his encyclopedia. it's very convenient that all he have to do is look and it's automatically recorded by the system, his 'quick reading' and 'memorizing' each and every content of the books are seen as weird and creepy by most other students. he is also branded a freak for memorizing the extra heavy and thick alchemy book in alchemy class, among his peers he is the first to take the practical lesson. memorizing the theory and knowledge from the book gave him the passive skill "basic alchemy knowledge" and the lesson gave him "basic mixtures concoction". he complained to himself about only learning the most basic of the skill but little did he know if people heard that he would be beaten black and blue because learning a skill just by attending class once is considered impossible.

with that thought he closed the book in his hand and place it on the table, he then lean on his chair and thought about the convenience of his current life, just by reading he would get skills for example reading numerous books about plants have now given him "herbalist" skill, allowing him to identify and spot plants and their effects, a good skill to have. likewise for books about animals and beast, it allows him to identify edible animals and beast including what materials could be gathered from them with the skill "hunter" but this skill doesn't seem to apply for monsters.

now as he returned the books to their shelves, he have a satisfied smile. his attention is on the newest skill he gained called "explorer" this skill gave him a map function and it's constantly showing and mapping wherever he'd been, it's placed on the top left corner of the HUD. originally the skill only give an overview map but after integrating it with the system scan function it is now able to show a 3D map view and the mapping range increased to as much as the scan range. sadly said modifications ate all his remaining Rewrite Point and he still have no idea how to replenish it.

although that reminds him of a certain skill, the skill from the assignment. the skill is called "devourer" a skill that would automatically consume and store life essence from anything he kills, if anything this is his best bet for replenishing it.

talking about the assignment he thought about his friends as he leave the library. the team work of his friends were great, the only broken rhythm is his actions and to top it off, the wolves didn't give any exp as they are only common animals. well, let's just forget about it, that fight actually gave a bit of status increase so it's acceptable.

"how's the progress?" ask a dignified man decorated with a golden crown on his head.

"it's going well my liege, if everything goes according to plan we'll be ready to start the invasion in two years." answer an eye patched man in a crimson heavy armor.

"good, when the time comes, do not fail me general." the dignified man said clearly pleased with his answer.

"yes, I shall succeed and present this continent to you my king!" the eye patched man firmly answer as he kneel.

little did they know a shadow have been listening in on their conversation, after mumbling something the shadow disappear without a trace.

His fate is not his.

His memories are not real.

And his soul is not his own.

Reincarnated into an another world, while meeting new people and learning new things, Vayne adjusts and tries to enjoy his new life as much as he can. 

The Rewrite System had come to change his fate. He had been brought by the goddess who felt touched by his past deed.

Sly's hand trembled and he just stood there with an unfocused gaze as he saw the Core spinning and changing from black to ethereal blue while the power lines coming from the core compartment were firing on all cylinders.
"I guess… I am a range fighter?"
"DNA Mapping still needs to be carried out, you are delaying the schedule," said the voice on the intercom.
"WAKE UP!!" 
"Novice Hunter 3965742 . Please proceed with DNA mapping through a blood signature "
Sly was in a dazed thanks to the unexpected situation but quickly responded, "I don't know how"
The weapon stood on his own from the metal box and before Sly knew it, it lay in his hand comfortably.

From the handle, spikes that penetrated through the palm of his hands and absorbed his blood came out before quickly withdrawing in one swift motion.
FUUUCK!!!
Sly saw what happened and screamed but it was more from the visual shock than from the actual pain he felt. Blue smoke started coming out of the wounds and they closed in real time leaving behind only a little scar.  
This new healing process was a testament to the power of the enhancement using Argonian genes and in turn to the fearsomeness of their enemies. Sly looked at his hand over and over without paying attention to the weapon that was changing into the very double sided Scythe he used in the simulation.
"What the…"
Sly almost drop his weapon as the voice of his trusted assistant came like a devil's whisper "It is one of the few weapons that can mount a double core but since there is no second core, you can use with a single blade for now "
The Nanotrons forming the side without a core disappeared into a black cloud before joining the other side reinforcing the other edge.  
"HA HA HA... Did you see his face? Priceless " said Zero to the mother AI.
"Maybe we should send a shadow to protect them, they are one of a kind after all" Said the Mother AI.
"That would interfere with the data gathering of the units, besides, he is not that bad and aren't you confident about your babies, KC is almost a copy of yourself and the NZ are just as impressive"
"The problem are not my creations but that human… he has less than 10% chance of surviving his first encounter"
"Then we can just have the shadow collect the pieces after"

DNA mapping was a very important safety net for every new hunter and the process was very simple.  All Sly had to do was prick his finger and allow some of his blood to reach the core of his weapon so that nobody else could use it.  It was a lock that could only be removed by the government and that was to be performed when the Novice Hunter became fully fledged and moved to a real zone of conflict. 
The safety measure made it impossible for the Head Hunters to get anything out of killing novices for the core acquired on their first enhancement.  
Head Hunters were the bane of all the E.F.S users, they usually killed other people and stole their weapons in order to sell them in the black market.  The problem they generated to the Umdali government at the beginning of the experiment was huge since they were killing their little turtles before they were able to reach the sea.
Zero had seen the same behavior in many of the races that had joined in the fight against the Argonians but it was way more pronounced in humans.  Human's ability to move for profit by disregarding morality was second to none, all one needed to do was to offer a high enough price and they were bound to find somebody willing to perform the deed.  
The weapons used in the E.F.S were made by the individual Nanotrons using Varanium as a frame, selling one brought great profits and even bigger ones if it had been upgraded multiple times before.  
The Head Hunters were despicable but they also had a purpose, they were the antagonist that helped the alliance build deadlier fighters through survival of the fittest.  The problem was that the novices weren't even given the chance to get their feet wet before getting killed so it was necessary to protect them until they gained some experience.    
Any weapon sold with DNA Mapping still running through the core had to be confiscated and the person selling it was to be killed immediately.  Failure to do so would cause the whole organization receiving it to be wiped out by the government overnight.   At the beginning, many dark organizations didn't pay attention to the warning but that quickly changed after a few of them disappeared in a short period of time leaving behind fear and a ton of advocates of the new law.  
Planet Alpha was an introductory level zone relatively small in size that was thought of as a petri dish by both alliance and Argonians alike. There was a tacit understanding between the two forces about the usage of the small worlds as a breathing ground for fighters and anyone above a Commander Level that wanted to get stronger and continue fighting was forced to leave to a new battlefield or removed from the frontlines and placed into administrative work.  
Organizations looking for new members would send representatives to the introductory zones while those threading in the dark seeked to make profits in a low level zone that had very little chance to be overrun by the enemy.
The Majority of the cities functioned very much like they did on planet earth except that the most profitable industry was related to the war effort.  The cities were highly advanced so they functioned pretty much on their own and used the materials gathered from the Argonians and the planet itself for its development.  Interplanetary trade drove the economy with a high risk, high reward model in which the best resources were gathered from places that high ranking Argonians called home. 
The stronger one was, the richer one could be and the best way to get there was through Cores and Argonians DNA.  The core gave individuals access to the Argonian's abilities while the DNA gave the hunter access to Physical development.  The Strongest person in the alliance, the leader of the Mystical Order, was able to withstand the punch of a 150 ft Giant with his Varanium shield, all thanks to the DNA enhancements he had over the years.
When the DNA mapping was done, the Scythe became a giant cloud of Nanotrons which burrowed inside Sly bringing the core along and smashing it against his body.  
UGHHH
Sly felt a weird sensation when the core took its place right in the middle of his chest.  On the outside it looked like a rhomboid crystal but on the inside, the nanotrons created connections to the heart making it almost like an external organ.  The moment the Core finished connecting, Sly felt that the changes that were supposed to take a long time to manifest had started to take place.
A hologram of zero appeared beside the metal box where his weapon had been previously and started to talk in a very monotonous way.
"Allow me to introduce myself, My name is Zero.  I am the creator of the Evolutionary Fighting System (E.F.S) and I am here to congratulate you on becoming a Novice Hunter.  Today, you have taken your destiny into your own hands, the Argonians are a savage race that seeks to destroy and consume everything that stands in their path, that includes our families, our resources and our own lives.  I hope that the System I developed helps you protect our way of life. Make the alliance proud, Hero."
"As a token of our appreciation, we the Umdali have prepared a little gift.  The Weapon Box is actually a portable space called a Space Folder.  It will allow you to store items that can fit in the space you see at this time, around 7 ft by 4 ft.  All you have to do is press the symbol of the Umdali on it and allow it to sync with your chip and Nanotrons. Once this is done, it should become a bracelet and taking items in or out should be as easy as thinking about it" .
The Hologram flicker and the image in it smile at Sly, "Don't Disappoint Me, Sly"
"WoW, talk about realism... ah K.C… That was awesome" 
"Sure" answered K.C
Sly put his new bracelet on and walked out of the center with a smile on his face.  The trip to the Military Facility was not as scary as he thought it would be, and the most important part of all turned out to be that his Chip and Nanotrons were not defective and in a pinch they did their best to help him.  
The problem Sly faced now was himself, the simulation was very realistic, he had practiced using a similar system during his studies at the school but the 'beasts' were a lot smaller and there was no smell.  The School simulations behave more like a game and he could move with ease while fighting, the test at the military center was different, It was too realistic.  Just seeing those razor sharp teeth and those lizard eyes that stare at him like he was a piece of meat and nothing more scared him.
Sly looked at the streets full of people and said to his chip, "Let's go eat"
"Draco Burger?" said K.C
"You know me so well, might as well enjoy the meal coupons while we still have them"
"You know the meat comes from the monster you fought in the simulation, right?"
K.C sent a picture of a real Draco hanging upside down in a hook at a butcher shop causing Sly to shiver.
"See... you've been eating them for years.  They are worth 1000 Ethereal Coins" 
"Are you Serious?"

In the year 2701 A.D, the first contact with an Alien race called the Umdali was recorded.  They came to earth looking to recruit human beings as an allied in the everlasting fight against the World Devourers known as the Argonians.  

Their offer was simple, they would help humans solve the environmental problem the planet faced, and provide all the technology necessary to keep it healthy but in exchange, the human race would provide the Umdali with the population necessary to put up a fight.

As John entered the room he found state of the art equipment in the whole room. That is to be expected from a brilliant billionaire who literally invented bio-tech infused clones for the military. As he was venturing into the room he found a chip on the worktable. This was the Hive Chip that Donald was working on from last decade. 

It looked like normal A.I. chip that was sold in the market but it was anything but normal. The chips available in the market have functions like connecting the user with the internet directly with his brain, computing for its users, calculations, storing data and many more. To install a chip in the brain there is a small surgery that has to be done in advance. In this surgery different parts of the brain which help in different functions are connected with nano mapping which in turn connects with the central nervous system (CNS) and then provides a port to install a nano chip which has a size of a sand grain.
Now the installation of the chip is the easiest part because it only needs a special tool that can remove the previous chip and stall a new one. 

One just has to make sure to switch it off before installing a new one. Because if not than when it is removed it will give a small shock to you. If this small shock is given to any other part of the body you might not even feel it but we are talking about the brain here. One small shock to the brain is enough to kill a person. And we are talking about a shock inside the brain where nano mapping is done in different parts of the brain to connect it with A.I chip.

Now there was a A.I chip in front of John without any security which he can just pick up and get on with it and nobody is there to stop him. 

'How come an A.I chip is just sitting there and not in a vault?'

This was the thought that came to his mind, but the more he thought about it he came to understand that this facility is literally a vault. No one can come inside without authorization. He was able to because he had help from Donald's own son. Otherwise he can not even dream of entering such a facility on his own. He was a small time thief not Stéphane Breitwieser. 
 
Those who don't know this name he was World's Greatest Art Thief. But John is a small time thief and he was selected for this job because of this reason. Triumph selected so that late he can take him out without any problems. The equipment that he has given to John is so high tech that stealing a few tech secrets will be child's play. 

But he knew nothing about otherwise he would have not chosen him for this job. It's not like he was some awesome fighter or secret government agent.

 Nah! He was greedy, not only greedy but extremely greedy!

Now think this greedy son of a bitch is inside a research facility with state of the art equipment filled in the room. Now what he is gonna do.??? 

' I am gonna take everything..!' John thought. 

We can't blame him after all Triumph was the one to offer him the job to rob his father. He did not come here out of his own violation. 

As he entered the room the first thing he did was pick a piece of equipment from the table. This was the same used in removing and installing A.I. chip. He switched his A.I. off and then placed the equipment behind his head and pressed the button. As he did that his A.I. chip was removed. Then he picked up a vial from the table and inside it was a small dot. This was none other than Donald's work on which he spent his whole life - Hive Chip . John put the vial inside the equipment and pressed the button. 

Now that the new A.I chip was inside the port in his head it will take some time to install. He heard a voice in his head.

While Hive Chip was installing he started looking around the room. And then his eyes fell on the Quantum Generator. This piece of equipment was nothing new. This was nothing that he has not heard about. Back in the day when scientists were looking for a way to time travel they used several experiments using quantum generators. 

In the end it was concluded time travel is not possible. Because it can not change a thing that does not exist in the real world. Time is nothing more than a measurement created by humans. It does not have weight or density nor it covers any area. It exists. Nothing more. We know it exists because we experience it throughout our life.

A series of fortunate events....

John was a small time thief in an alternate universe but at a job he died right after getting Hive Mind which was not meant for him.....

In a normal day, at a normal morning, he starting his day by jogging around his neighborhood. Ran and ran and ran, enjoying the scenery while smiling at his neighbor.
He continued to do so until the clock became 7 o'clock, then he goes back to his apartment, taking his sweat drench clothes off of his body and bath. not long after it's 7 and a half that he already has done with his preparation, going to school at 7.45, and arrived at 8 o'clock the same time as the bell ringing in his school.

every one of the teachers in the classroom like his attitude over learning, but they really feel his scheduled brain will sometimes make his life goes awry, but as for now, there's nothing that goes awry in his schedule...

When I live my life like always, blandly without any new thing... the same happy occurence as always... they suddenly...

This was the first time Hao Ren had walked into a real magic tower, and the environment there was not as eerie as he had imagined. In fact, it looked like a reasonably well-planned and neat research facility. There were reference rooms or laboratories on each floor of the tower, while the place where the apprentices lived was a neat and orderly dormitory. There was even a housemaster, who was an old female werewolf...
There were of course, many things that matched the word "magic".For example, the magic lights which floated in the air and the gold brooms, which automatically swept the floor. There were also faint arcane creatures wandering around in the air. They were short and harmless secondary lives that had ran out of the energy wells. However, these creatures just made the magic tower look fun and interesting, not weird and scary at all.
"I thought the wizards living in the magic tower would all look gloomy, and that the magic tower would be full of cobwebs, covered in old grease, and have black floors," Hao Ren muttered. "That's what I see in the movies."
"Even the most traditional of wizards wouldn't be like that." Becky rolled her eyes and said, "And, this is an academic facility, a place to do research. How do you work without bright lights?"
Ophra was walking next to Hao Ren and of course, she heard their conversation. She laughed and asked, "Do you know who has the brightest magic tower?"
"Who?" Hao Ren asked, "The one studying the Holy Light?"
Ophra shook her head and said, "The Magic Tower of Master Dubai. It has been brightly lit for a century, and Master Dubai is one of the best necromancers in the world."
"What?" Hao Ren was baffled.
Ophra shrugged and explained, "Because surgery requires bright light, and a pair of good eyes is also needed to examine the decaying corpses and bones."
Hao Ren felt like he just learned something he had never heard of before. However, Vivian was not surprised, and she said, "It's normal. Most of the necromancers on Earth are working in hospitals. Do you know how high-powered the shadowless lamps there are?"
"...The f*ck. It makes sense!"
Eventually, they were taken to the teleportation hall on the second floor. This was also the "breaking point", where part of the magic tower was drawn into another dimension. It seemed that the ministers were still in a dizzy state after a few minutes, but Hao Ren and his team had already recovered. Lily wagged her tail and readjusted her balance as she muttered, "It's not any better than our Mobile Data Terminal."
The MDT's voice immediately rang in their minds, "But my performance is strong and stable. A one-time teleportation of 20 million light years will also give you the same feel! Can the technology of this copycat be compared with the powerful technology of our empire?"
Ophra nodded at the soldiers who came to receive them. Then, she told Hao Ren, "That's the Volcano of Dusk, a geological spectacle created by another mage-emperor."
There was a wide lookout on the wall of the room in Limestone Fortress. It allowed them to have a clear view of the Volcano of Dusk not far away.
A gigantic conical volcano stood abruptly on the flat, boulder-strewn wilderness. They did not know its size, but it looked as if it almost blotted out the sky and covered the sun from where they stood. The volcano was all dark like a cool black iron, and beyond it, they could see a vast expanse of ocean.
About one-third of the Volcano of Dusk extended to the ocean. Deep underground, part of the obsidian mountain was even integrated with the continental shelf.
And, it was all crimson at the top of this huge black cone.
Hao Ren could not see the top of the volcano from where he stood, but he could see the blazing red glow burning there. The light even dyed the sky red, and it made them wonder if the sky was about to be ignited by the red light. There was no lava flowing around the volcano. But even then, the red-hot flame alone was enough to make them feel an unbearable heat coming from the depths of the volcano's soul.
It was as if the sun had fallen into the crater. This was how the Volcano of Dusk got its name.
Hao Ren never expected one of the sacred caverns could actually be located at the Volcano of Dusk. Nonetheless, the name sounded familiar to him. This was the giant creation created by the ancient mage-emperor, Sanur, who used powerful sorcery to extract the power of the deep strata. The Volcano of Dusk had never been extinguished, compared to the dead Giant Tree of Life and Dragonspine Ridge, which was in a state of silence for a long time. The volcano was still burning to this day as though it had incredible vitality. Therefore, they could hardly see anyone there, just an impregnable fortress guarding the formidable ancient miracle.
They did not expect there to be a First Born lying under it.
But now, knowing that the second sacred cavern was under the Volcano of Dusk, Hao Ren seemed to see some sort of pattern.
"The third sacred cavern is located under the Tree of Life?" Hao Ren looked at Ophra and asked, "Under the Tree of Life created by the ancient elf-queen, Lorrisa?"
 "Yes," Ophra answered, while nodding slowly.
Among the many wonders that ancient mage-emperors created using manpower, the most magnificent were the three wonders; Dragonspine Ridge in the western part of the kingdom, the Volcano of Dusk in the eastern part of the kingdom, and the Giant Tree of Life in the southern part of the kingdom. Holletta was situated on the site of the Ancient Magic Empire, so the three were situated within the kingdom.
The three places corresponded to three First Borns.
Additionally, the site of the Ancient Magic Empire was also the "main battlefield" of the three First Borns.
All the clues were logically linked.
"We've always known the location of the sacred caverns," said Orben with a low voice, "but we don't know what the sacred caverns really mean. We assumed that the sacred caverns were situated just below the three 'evil ruins' because the goddess either imposed punishment in these three places, or the mage-emperors challenged the goddess' authority with the man-made miracles. The violent cold wind made one almost impossible to open their eyes. Such a large bare land, yet not a single sight of man to be seen. It was impossible for anyone to survive in such a place, but at this moment, there seemed to be some noise accompanying the blowing wind, "Chen Ge, damn you!"

Su Hao spat out his saliva as his mouth was filled with ice.

But now that Caiden and the trio had finally regrouped, he finally removed his guard to them and he has now the time to check the room where the dungeon boss is.

He had originally guessed that there should be two dungeon bosses inside seeing how well it was being managed. But now that Alicia's curiosity reaches his, and now that he has the chance, he decided to also check it out and it turns out there were only two beings inside it: a large snake-like monster, and a huge human-like figure with horns. 

( Haah... All I can see are figures and outlines though... )

Effective and useful his skill might be, it is not all that powerful. Vlad was only able to see everything inside the room as mere outlines. The furniture, the pillars, the walls, and the two beings that were inside the room, they are all only appears as thin outlines at Vlad's view. 

There are three limitations to Vlad's appraisal skill when combined with his mapping and locating skills:

- Won't work if the item or person being appraised is not in the view of the user.

- Using mapping and locating skills, Vlad won't be able to see the view, looks, and state of the person or item he hasn't seen before, they will only appear as black shadows outlining the real structures of their body - this includes any items, furniture, and any non-living things within the range ( This means Vlad will only able to see the outlines of the creatures or items he hasn't seen before in the game or in this world. )

With his continued use of this skill, he figured out both all of its advantages and downsides.

( I wonder if the boss really is a vampire... I've already seen all the races of Vampires in the game. Does this mean the boss is a creature I've never seen before...? Then what about those rumors about the boss being a Vampire...? ) Vlad was in deep thought. 

[ Vlad-san...? ] 

[ Hmm...? ] hearing her calls his name, Vlad turned his head to her direction and made a questioning look. 

[ Just for me to get ready in the final fight... Can you tell me what is the boss's race...? ] she asked the question Vlad was figuring out what was the answer. 

[ I actually don't know... There are limitations to my magic... ] 

[ Is that so...? ]

[ Yes. That's why it's better for you to prepare for the worst. ] 

( The highest level I detect here with my appraisal is 103. That's definitely the boss. There's no way Alicia and Caiden would win against someone of that level. )

A level that is higher than the hero, Hana. Vlad was expecting that the boss's level would be high, but he never thought that it would be higher than the being that is called the 'hero' of this world.

That was why, despite him still not to the agreement of having Alicia and Caiden as his guide, he was still thankful that he was the one who was to subjugate the boss. It would be dangerous if the hero's party had gone to this dungeon by themselves; they just might not be able to survive. 

[ Prepare, huh? I've been prepared for everything this whole time. ] Alicia confidently answered his words. 

( Does that include the time you fell into the trap...? )

[ Alicia... There're enemies coming. Prepare yourself. ]

[ Yes! ] answering his call, Alicia gripped her staff tight, and as Vlad had mentioned her to do, she had prepared her self.

Slowly, the footsteps of the monsters grew close to where they are.

The sound of steel rods and chains colliding with another. The sound of strings being pulled and loosed. The sound of footsteps cracking on each step. All those sounds resounded in the room of the dungeon they're currently in. 

Slowly, they revealed themselves to Alicia and Vlad.

[ Skeletons...? ]

[ Yes, but they're no normal skeletons. ]

[ I've only seen them in books and I've never actually seen them for real... ]

Both Alicia and Vlad looks at the enemies in front of them quietly.

The enemies in front of them sure are skeletons, but their much larger than any normal skeletons. Each of them has a horn on top of their skulls and the color of their bones differentiates with the normal ones too - they were pale red, like clothes stained with dried out blood. 

They're also holding different weapons: shields, swords, bows, staffs, mazes, etc. The many varieties of their weapons indicate that they work in groups and that they're much intelligent than normal monsters found in the dungeon.


( Really... The level of this dungeon is much higher than the average level of humans that are living in this world... Just with those Antlions, they could seriously wipe out the whole city if the hero's party weren't there... And now we have the foot soldiers of advanced-level dungeons in front of us... Orc Skeletons. ) 

If normal skeletons were called as the weakest in mid-level dungeons, and Oni's at the high-level -Orc Skeletons are the weakest in the Advanced-level dungeons. But nevertheless, they're much stronger than most monsters players will encounter in almost all dungeons. 

[ There're too many... ] Alicia mutters in distress. Her entire body hugging her staff and her legs shaking. 

[ Are you afraid, Alicia-san? ]

[ That's... No... I've already prepared myself for any situations... I'm not afraid - ]

*Swoosh! 

[ Shield. ]

With her yet to finish her words, an arrow was shot towards Alicia's head, only to be deflected by Vlad's magic. 

If Vlad did not use his magic 'Shield' to protect her, that arrow will pierce her skull.

[ Please focus. There're enemies in front of us now. Ready your spells. ] Vlad casually said as if nothing had happened.

Hearing his voice, Alicia turned her head towards him. Seeing death comes close to her with just a blink of her eyes, she was left in a state of fear and shock.

[ ... ] still not being able to comprehend what just happened, Alicia was only silent and was not able to respond.

[ What are you waiting for? ]

[ Ah... Ri-Right! I'll chant my spell now! ] regaining her usual self, her eyes turned serious and she raised her staff high and started to chant. 

Looking in front of her, she saw that their enemies had already surrounded them and are ready to start their attack. Seeing this, she again stopped herself from chanting her spell.

Their enemies are already surrounding them and she was overwhelmed by fear.

But despite this... 

( Vlad-san... Why is he still so calm in this situation...? He's not even preparing a chant or taking out any kind of weapons... ) she thought as she looks at Vlad's face that did not even knit a brow to the sight of their enemies.

( He must've got a lot of experience... I hate to admit and accept it, but... It seems like both Caiden's and Hana's impression of him are correct... I'm already dead if it wasn't for him... )

[ Alicia-san, just focus on chanting your spells and I'll deal with the attacks of the enemies. ] instructed Vlad.

( Tha-That's right... There's nothing of me to be afraid of when Vlad-san's here... I'll leave my defense to him and I'll focus on my attack! ) with her now gaining the confidence, she started chanting her spell again, and...

It was the first time that Arthur's face had slipped from her mind. It was the first time she had forgot about anything. Her hatred, confusion, and annoyance, all of them were cleared out from Alicia's mind. 

All that was on her head was defeating the enemies in front of her, not minding all the attacks that were coming at her. All of these because she has someone she relies on; someone she trusts.

Yes, in the midst of the battle, she forgot about everything and had trusted the person she had hated the most.

It was the first time Alicia had not treated Vlad as mere trash of a person, but a companion who she can trust her life with.

NOTE: Please don't expect this write to have much action and gruesome tendencies as my real intention when I first wrote the earlier chapters was to actually make them comedic and slice_of_life-ish. Well, in the end, readers didn't like that so I rewrite some, but still, you can still find some comedic aspects in the write. Especially in the first few chapters, they're a bit... not that good.
