STUDY GOD'S WORD

As we continue to study the Book of Acts, we follow Paul into chapter 17 where he engaged with all kinds of people that he encounters in his travels. The first place that Paul often went to in different cities was the synagogue. Here in Thessalonica, he gives an account of the Messiah, the promised deliverer of the Jews. Paul refers to the Old Testament to create a 'dialegomai'(Greek) or dialogue from the Scriptures. He explains that the Jesus Christ had to suffer & rise again, as written 


in Isaiah 53:5 New International Version (NIV) says

5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
    he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
    and by his wounds we are healed.


& in Psalm 16:10-11 New International Version (NIV) says
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
    nor will you let your faithful[a] one see decay.
11 You make known to me the path of life;
    you will fill me with joy in your presence,
    with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Obviously, Paul studied Scriptures & knew what it says about the promised Messiah. Paul related ancient prophesy from Scripture to the historical event of Jesus death on the cross & His resurrection. Paul proclaimed Jesus with boldness & trusted the Lord for the outcome. Indeed, Paul would preach in the synagogue & would get beaten up after, yet he would do the same thing in the next city they would go to. He was not discouraged even if he faced opposition. He knew what his calling was, to preach the good news first to the Jews & then to the Gentiles. His calling was sure & getting beaten up & opposed to his face did not stop him from continuing on his mission. When you have an impact, you will have an uproar. In the things you are doing for God, are you experiencing an "uproar"? Doing God's work  might mean facing hostility from the very people you are trying to reach out to.

APPLY GOD'S WORD 

We must also check our eagerness in approaching God's word. Do you find the Bible bland & boring? Are you excited to encounter God in His word?

Though the Bible does not promise a life without problems it is a deep source which God uses to guide you in making wise decisions as you face life's difficulties & challenges. Apply what you learn from the Bible in your life even before you attempt to share it with others!

TEACH GOD'S WORD  

The next group of people that Paul engages within Acts 17, were the Bereans who were more open to Paul's teaching compared to the Thessalonians. In matters of discernment, we must be like the Jews in Berea who not only studied the Scriptures but also used this to examine what was being preached to them. In listening to preachers, we must have an unbiased eye & be opened to the truth that a preacher teaches but always go back to Scripture & check for ourselves what we heard from the preacher against what the Bible says. Is this how we view the speakers we encounter? With an unbiased eye but a discerning spirit? We need to be careful because there are many false teachers & many more will arise. Like Paul, are you willing to take a beating for something you believe in? It is so hard to teach what you do not believe in, so make sure that you know why you believe what you believe & teach. One of the greatest hindrances to God using you to teach others about the Bible is your unwillingness to apply God's word. Have a self-check, is your Bible knowledge making you arrogant? Beware that it does not, as

As one grows deeper in the knowledge of Christ & the Bible, one should be more understanding, loving & humble. Is this true for you? The Thessalonians did not accept Paul's teaching the first time & yet even with the initial resistance, a church was established in Thessalonica. Paul's commitment to teach God's word no matter the personal consequence to him, eventually bore much fruit. The Thessalonians became an example of how lives surrendered to Jesus can become a vibrant church. We too can be an example of how a surrendered life that studies, applies & teaches the Bible can be transformed because of Jesus Christ.

Chapter 5
The sweet taste of hypocrisy
 
Texas was a fine place to eliminate morons from the human experience. But first, a final test to see if he was correct about his powers. 
Nom was driving a stolen car. He needed to get off the road and get some sleep, before he was forced to test his powers against the might of the Texas Highway Patrol. He saw the glowing sign of the Grand Hyatt ahead. It was next to a municipal airport. 
How perfect. He thought. I'll dump the stolen car in the long-term parking lot, get a rental, and then check in for some sleep. Who knows? Perhaps I will find an ideal lab rat along the way.
Nom pulled into the parking lot and rented a luggage carrousel. Loading his gear, he left the lot ticket in the stolen car, and walked into the airport. Conveniently, a trash can by the door accepted the keys to Tripp's father's car. 
Thanks to the Patriot Act, Nom knew that he wouldn't have a choice but to register the rental in his own name—a convincing fake ID would take too much time. The woman at the counter for Enterprise Rental quickly had him on the road in a late model Ford Fusion. Since Nom was from another state, it was easy to claim he had just flown in for the week. Why, if the feds checked out his little fib, they would see that he did have cousins in the area. The flight bit could be seen as an oversight by an airport worker.

 

Nom knew he would need to do a number of experiments to get even a basic idea as to the scope of his powers. He could kill, but could he simply maim? Could he reverse one of his wishes, or alter it? Was there a range limit to his gift? His efforts to study that last one with Tripp had not exactly been precise. Could he eliminate multiple people at one time, or could he only effect one? Was there a limit on how gruesome a death he could inflict, or on how slow of a death?
The irony was that the power of death made Nom feel alive for the first time in years. Probably since around the time that he had lost his faith and become an atheist. The old saying, ignorance is bliss, is only true if you are ignorant of your ignorance. 
Nom had once been ignorant of the fact that there was no god. In his upbringing, Nom had been taught that the King James version of the Bible, and it alone, was the answer. Whether it be the pocket copy he carried, or the study Bible on his night stand, that book was literally the user manual to the universe, written by the coder who had engineered everything, and who was actively in control to that very moment. 
Any answer he needed was simply a Strong's Concordance search, or a browse through the Spurgeon or Scofield Commentary away. What need was there to know anything, or even think for himself, when it was all just a few pages away?
Christianity was easy: simply blindly believe. Reject the information reality fed you, and obey regardless of the consequences. After all, the afterlife was the real life. Atheism was hard, the consequences were real, and the answers had to be won rather than simply given. Faith was easy, just be a good little robot, and do what the bronze age myth told you to do. Knowledge and reality had to be studied and interpreted through reason. It was back breaking never ending work. 
Nom put in a reasonable start and effort at being a good atheist. He obsessively self-educated himself. After getting two undergrad degrees, a masters, and studying for a second one, he admitted to himself that he was miserable. 
What was the point? What could he possibly accomplish, regardless of his credentials? Nom's great dream was to start a national movement to finally crush religion through its greatest weakness, children. Nom wanted a law, one that made it so that no child could ever be brain washed into a cult as he had been. True freedom was not freedom of religion, but freedom from religion. All children would be legally entitled to a public, secular education, regardless of their parents' wishes. No child would even be exposed to religion until they were an adult and could legally consent. In Nom's mind, religious educators were worse than pedophiles. They did not only defiled the bodies of children, but they destroyed young growing minds.
It was a task that Nom threw himself into. For a while it seemed that the American people were ready to potentially embrace a change of this magnitude. The Affordable Care Act was passed, the first black President of the United States was elected, and for the first time in US history almost a quarter of the population identified as non-religious. In those moments, it actually looked as if the modern political dark ages of the US, started by Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon, were at an end. Nom took a minor civil service job to support himself while he completed his education. He would need government experience before he could found the non-for profit he dreamed of using to spearhead his vision.
Then the walls came tumbling down. For years the most ill-educated and moronic fools that the GOP could muster rallied the forces of the TEA Party. Behind the scenes, using their demented senior citizen activists, they managed to take over most of the municipal level governments in the US and use that power base to take over state level and national governments. 
Their average budget proposal called for a slash to social welfare programs for the neediest of Americans. Why should the US Government feed the people it impoverished? Mass incarceration, slashed regulation, gutted unions, an unlivable minimum wage—if this caused poverty who cared? After all, that same money could be spent on a wall. One that would remove twelve percent of the economy by deporting innocent people. Even better, it could be spent on new military toys, like aircraft carriers. The US already spent more than all of its allies and enemies combined, what was a bit more waste? Then they could take the rest, and give subsidies to corporate profits through tax cuts. 
Funnily enough, many of the Republican voters were themselves beneficiaries of the very programs they elected Republicans to eliminate. When newly elected Republicans tried to do exactly that, suddenly, their voters were in the media spotlight protesting. 
If the American populace could manage to vote in the most regressive regime since Herbert Hoover, what hope did Nom have of achieving his wish in even ten lifetimes? He could have gone to his grave a happy man knowing he had simply started the ball rolling on protecting minors from religion, but to work already knowing that the bet was a loser? Who could do that?
One of the turning points in his evangelical faith had been when he had discovered that having the faith of a mustard seed did not mean that he could literally levitate mountains. Most modern Christians would claim that Bible verses were metaphorical, but Nom had been raised to literally interpret the Bible. It was a soul crushing revelation that God was not a genie, with the Bible as his lamp. The election of 2016 crushed his faith in saving mankind just as thoroughly.
In many ways Nom had been slowly coming to the conclusion that the only way to save humanity was to cleanse it. The world was overpopulated, polluted, and corrupt. Morons bred like rabbits. The natural forces that had restrained the human population since it began had been curbed thanks to modern technology. In the US, Nom's native country, a cult had long existed that worshiped the common man. That same cult cursed learning and intelligence. The folk wisdom of a plumber about economics was somehow more valuable than someone with an actual degree in the subject.
What the US needed was an apocalypse. Nom was sure if the rest of the Western World would benefit from the same. The same trends that had destroyed the US were now appearing in Europe. The UK had voted to succeed from the EU, racist and anti-immigrant parties were on the rise in central Europe in a wave not seen since the 1930's, and regressive conservative parties were winning election after election. It was building to the same crescendo America had seen only a few short years before.
The woods around Nom's childhood home in northern Michigan were occasionally set on fire by the DNR. The native bird, Kirtland warblers, were only capable of breeding in the aftermath. Not that they needed ash and desolation; they needed a specific species of pine tree. Those trees were short-lived, and had a problem: their pine cones had a coating that had to be burned off before they released their seeds. No fire, no trees. No trees, no birds. 
Nom was convinced that the same must be true for humanity. He was not sure if he needed to burn down the whole forest, or just a grove, but humanity needed to lose a lot of stupid people so that its best and brightest could flourish without all the dead wood. 
Taking his rental car to the Grand Hyatt Nom checked in and decided to start experimenting…

Death, a Biography, is a fictional horror novel. It is crass, violent, profane, and not meant for the light hearted reader. Imagine living in a world surrounded by fools. For years your frustration grows, and no matter what you try to do you cannot free yourself from the preverbal ideocracy. Nom DePlume is just such a man, only one day he is granted the dearest wish of his heart. Nom, a grad student working as a truck driver is: intelligent, well educated, and the sort of person who always can find a reason to have a chip on his shoulder. One day while driving in Texas he finds that he has the ability to wish death on those he hates. Being scientifically minded, Nom proceeds to experiment searching out the scopes of his new found powers. He begins in Texas, a state he despises. As he moves on from each experiment, he picks his prey to match some facet of modern western life that he hates. Each receive a fate customized to match what Nom feels they did wrong. Nom then travels home to Michigan after initially defining his new role in life. In Michigan he uses his powers to settle a few old scores and family business. A run-in with an old friend convinces him that he is being selfish for not using his god like powers to better mold humanity. The end of the book sees him taking on the leader of the free world. Nom now personifying Death, learns that he has a true foe, Life.Nom will return.

The king followed behind James asked him to wait. He wanted to ask James about Alex's transformation. 

At first, James said Alex has the healing type bloodline but Alex showed them a different one. It was an offensive type bloodline of the Fire Pheonix. People having dual bloodlines are rare but not impossible.

There are rumors of people having dual bloodlines by the stroke of luck. Otherwise only the clans from Top-tier kingdoms with pure bloodlines been able to produce their offspring with the dual bloodline. 

He thought Alex was lucky enough to awaken the hidden bloodline and bloodline from his mother. 

But the one Alex showed them was an entirely different one. It was something they never have seen before. 

Normally for one to show to transformation on their body needs people with high bloodline purity. Like heard in legends, bestowed from the source. For example, like the Pheonix bird bestowing Pheonix bloodline for Alex's Ancestors.

So this means Alex had gotten this new bloodline from a source. James looked at the King and knew what he was going to ask.

"You want to ask about his Bloodline right?" James asked the king.

While walking the king was getting worried. He was worried because the status of James's family was getting bigger and bigger. He was now thinking whether his daughter is qualified to marry into James's family. He felt the urge to tie his relation with James as soon as possible. Otherwise, James will reach a position where he can only look up to.

Alex woke up feeling dizzy. He tried to recall what happened earlier but the only thing he can remember is getting angry beyond control and after that everything is blank.

Coincidentally, Alex thought of saying that the Immortal gave him the new bloodline as a gift. Hearing from his mouth relieved the doubt in both of their minds.

"As someone online for the throne, I got a free placement to study at the Inner section of the Academy. Your father was a genius back then, but lack of a background, he could only join the outer section of the academy."

"Didn't you say, you were close to forming a core? But without necessary resources, even as a heaven-defying talent, you cannot break through."

"The resources and the method can only be available in the Inner section of the Academy."

"And your Mother is there," James said. Hearing his last sentence, Alex felt like a hammer hit his head. He felt his inner self yearning to find out the mysterious person who gave birth to this body.

Yes. The sad truth is; the entire world cannot all believe in the gospel. Some just don't have the capacity to believe. And so, we have to orchestrate events such as this and even the events that we will soon create to make Christianity the one religion."
"Then what steps should we be doing right now?"
"I've already given my advice. I'm sure that Seeker or that boy Arthur already knows of this. But they sent you here to get something else from me… And that's my knowledge of the Bible."
"Why can't they know about the Bible themselves?" Chris asked.
"I mean… Seeker knows the future and probably could guess the general direction you led the world too… Also, Lennox and Arthur should have been smart enough to know this."
Eagle gave a hearty laugh.
"They are uncertain because they have not grasped the Bible in its entirety."
"My guess is, on Seeker's future, I led the world using a different theological view. The most possible scenario is that I believed that a certain theology that I do not believe in would be the best view to take. Either because of the events that would shortly follow or perhaps, and more disturbingly, because my faith may have been shaken at the extermination of the Jews. But right now, Seeker is asking what to do since the Jews are alive."
"What about Arthur? Could he not analyze this with his father?"
"The spiritual answer is no. Because the Word of God is to be spiritually discerned. But the humanistic answer is that those two are being humble. They don't want to waste time studying theology. Do you really think that Christianity is simple? Far from it! It is complex, mysterious and divisive. Since the death of Christ, various forms of Christianity had appeared. Some from a wrong interpretation over Scripture, some from the abandonment of Scripture and some from overemphasizing other parts of Scripture. Because of that, there are probably hundreds of theological views to study in order to perfectly plot out the future." Eagle explained.
"So why should they exert effort in that when they can ask you?" Chris asked.
"Correct. That is their reasoning. But sadly, I must leave you without any solid answers for now. I will not dictate the steps that they must take. Instead, I have an order to them. Not a suggestion. An order or demand if you will. I have to meet with all the Overcomers, potential Ranked Heroes and any other person of interest."
"Meet them how? We can't bring them here. With so many around the world creating an online transmission is risky."
"I have to meet them personally. And that will be Seeker and Arthur's little assignment as they make their wars. They have to plan the war in such a way that it can bring all of these people in one area." Eagle explained.
"But why?" Wouldn't it be better to tell us now?"
"If I say it now, I believe that it will cause more harm than good."
"You want to convince the Overcomers and the leaders?" Chris understood the hidden meaning of Eagle's plan.
"Yes." Eagle smiled and did not even hide his plan.
"But of course, don't accuse me of trying to shove in the Gospel. I admit, it is my intention, however, if Seeker wants this world to be united in this religion, he must heed my words. I need the Overcomer's to believe. And so, I won't be getting into the details of what they should do, but find a way to gather all the Overcomers and important leaders to one place."
"That's basically impossible to do immediately. Then this is what you meant by Seeker to delay his plans of war. You want them to use war as a means to gather everyone together."
"Yes. I know that Seeker intends to forcefully take over a particular country and create a ripple effect by attacking the WGP. If a nation challenges and does significant damage to the WGP, other nations might participate. He wants the WGP out to acquire the technology it has. That is to say, Seeker intended to create a Continental War here in the Americas or in the Western extremes of Europe or Africa. That plans not good as we have to present ourselves as the righteous group."
"So our team should focus on what exact actions?"
"One, make these nations a bastion of Christian faith. They have to take over the leadership and make religion something important once more. Two, show support to the Jews. Ideally, they have to create support for them and while the Aragarians are gathering them, you have to convince other nations to act antagonistically against the Jews."
"How do we do that?" Chris pondered.
"I think we'll have to let Arthur and Lennox decide that. We can use a lot of tools, Hon. Economics, geography, politics, the Underworld…"
"I see." Chris nodded.
"You also will need to aid me in building churches all over the world. Once all of these are in place, and when we have churches planted all over the world, you have to change how the world views Christians. You should create political, religious and even ethnic groups that will persecute and attack Christians. This will be harder to deal with. Unlike the former reason, it's easy to create one reason as the Jews will have a geographical place. But Christians are all over the world. You'd have to be creative in doing this."
Grace frowned this time.
"I don't understand, Pastor. Why is that?"
"For vengeance of course. If we are to simulate the End of Times, then we should do it in all of its accuracies. If we are to come as people and powers that will judge this world, then they have to do something that deserves judging. This generation should know and should see, why they are going to face such calamities. The blood of Christians and Jews must taint their hands so that when we initiate our plan and reveal great desolations, they will feel guilty."
"But Pastor. That means that the churches and communities we will be creating… and even ministers from your church will die."
"Of course. That is what's necessary."
Grace couldn't help but shudder.
"Pastor, this is madness. I don't think I can see you as a Pastor anymore. You want us… and by effect, you are asking me… to build communities, gather groups of people, who will share in the faith that I have believed in… and all of this, is so that they will be slaughtered?"
"Yes." Eagle could not hide his smile. It was as innocent as his other smiles. But both Chris and Grace could sense a powerful and almost murderous desire rising.
"I thought you were supposed to send your ministers in these countries! What about your mission to spread God's Word?" Grace couldn't help but reject Eagle's plan. Chris sat down silently and waited for the Pastor to give his answer.
"That has and will always be my concern. Even before the defeat of the Aragarians, my concern is for the World to know of God. But how has He made Himself known? Through the fulfillment of His prophesies that His word may be true and everything false! Do you not understand? Death and persecution must happen within the Church. People of great faith and trust in the Lord, must all die! It is a requirement for the days to come."
"What days to come?"
"In prophetic language, there is one specific sermon that Jesus spoke of. That will be the time from now until we gather every one of your leaders for a Bible Study. Seeker must follow the events in that prophecy which is a preamble to the real stuff that's about to happen."
"The Olivet Discourse!" Grace realized what Eagle was talking about. She had been in church since her younger years and even when she was working for the Force of America, her mother and father would often remind her to at least, listen to some online sermons and would even send her some links.
"What's the Olivet Discourse?" Chris asked.
"It's a talk that Jesus had in private with His Disciples. It's in three of the four gospels. Matthew, Mark, and Luke record this discussion. It's called the Olivet Discourse because Jesus spoke to his disciples in the Mount of Olives. And in all three accounts, Jesus told them of the things to come. What Eagle is saying… is that Seeker must fulfill the first part of that prophecy." Grace no longer called the Pastor according to his religious title, but directly called out his last name.
Eagle did not even react negatively at this call but simply smiled.
"Correct. That is the plan. The Olivet Discourse talks about the signs of the coming end of the world. Wars, rumors of wars, earthquakes, famine, and pestilence. These events have to happen in succession and must come quickly. And here lies the difficulty of this challenge. Seeker has to start wars and end them quickly."
"Earthquakes, famine, and pestilence too? If we are to do that, it would involve the use of weapons of mass destruction…" Chris continued to analyze.
"Chirs! You're actually ok with this?" Grace was stunned that Chris had no problem with this.
"Of course not. But honestly Hon, what choice do we have? There is very little that we can use to convince the world to side with us. The Aragarians can offer bribes of a good life of richness, peace, technology and so on can make the world our enemies. What can we offer to the world that they can't offer? We can't offer them richness, peace, good life and whatever… The road that Eagle is suggesting has been the road that Zeek had planned all along. He cannot offer these things. So instead of offering it, he'll promise the opposite."
"Death and destruction?!" Grace cried.
"Yes. But also a hope of an eternal after-life. And religion is really the key here. We can't counter-offer what they will soon be giving. But if we paint them out to be the devil and show how their promises are fake and that real promises await them… then we have a shot. Pastor Eagle is saying that we go by-the-book in this. We follow the Bible's path of prophecy down to the dot and do so in an extremely clear way. People who see it and believe will be our allies.' Chris explained with a sigh.
"I'm guessing that Pastor intends to send people for their deaths because it's also part of Scripture?"
"Yes."
"But Pastor…If that is the case and you know these churches will be attacked… why won't you make plans to save them?"
Eagle turned to Chris and seemed to be thinking of something.
"Hmm…Should I tell you? I guess this is a good thing that your leaders will have to note off…" Eagle pondered.
"It's like this… Now, this is something most preachers won't ever talk about. It's my own personal view of Grace and Wrath. Every generation has to have martyrs. For the Word of the Lord in Luke 11:49-50 must be fulfilled! 'Therefore also the Wisdom of God said, I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and persecute, so that the blood of all the prophets, shed from the foundation of the world, maybe charged against this generation.'"
"You will… allow them to be killed so that the nations that killed them will be judged?" Chris confirmed.
"It is not what I will, but this has been the way since the beginning. Mercy has always been reciprocated by anger and the death of those who God sent, and that is why they will receive judgement. Now that I know war is inevitable, then the deaths of the church and the saints of God will be used as fuel for the coming burning wrath."
"The death toll of this war will be in the millions!" Grace shouted.
"And millions more will have the chance to repent when they see the destruction reaching their lands. As I said, I want people to turn to the Lord! And war, suffering, pain, and death have always been the best tools to usher in repentance! So let the war come! The prophecies of Jesus in the Olivet Discourse is nigh at hand!"
Chris shook his head and stood up calling his wife.
"Let's go." Chris smiled.
"We're just leaving like that?!" Grace argued.
"Honey… Our mission is complete. You have nothing much more to say… Right, pastor."
Eagle nodded.
"We have our mission, Hon. And our orders are our top priorities. If you like, talk to Zeek directly. It won't be Pastor Eagle fulfilling all of these after all." Chris smiled and gave Grace a light tug as he started to walk out.
Grace could only walk in defeat but she left an angry glare at Eagle.
"Looks like Grace hates you." Eagle's wife gave a light chuckle.
Eagle simply shrugged his shoulders.
"She still thinks I've mind-controlled her husband after all… She'll come around. Ironic. And I thought I'd have more opposition from the atheist. But instead, I got it from someone who grew up listening and learning the Bible."
Eagle laughed.
"As it has always been." Eagle's wife smiled.
"Right…"

Back in Pangea, a frustrated Harker was adjusting for Seeker's crazy plans the next day.
"An RPG to school? What is he trying to pull?!" Harker cursed.
DING!
An encrypted call was being received on his computer.
This was the encrypted message from the Americas. Since the message was important, only a single device inside the military base could decrypt and receive the call.
"Yes?" Harker answered promptly.
"Tell Zeek that he has to delay his plans. We also should prepare the coming war so that we can have a group bible study somewhere with the Pastor." Chris ended the call.
"War for a Bible study?! What's wrong with these damned Carleans?!" Harker cursed once more.


An alien race invaded the Earth on June 6, 2128. At the midst of this war, many nations allied with the alien threat and the war nearly wiped out the rebelling humans of the planet. At the edge of mankind's survival, the United Nations Army launched its forces to eliminate the immediate stellar threats that loomed over Earth.

General Seeker Carlean, commander and leader of the mission, risked and gave his life to destroy the immediate stellar threat. The battle was won though Earth lay in ruins. Perhaps mankind will live to see a few years of peace before the alien threat returns to wipe out their existence.

At the immediate aftermath of the stellar battle, the fallen Seeker Carlean awakens and finds himself at aged 17, living the peaceful life he lived 16 years before he died.

So begins a new game in the battle for humanity's survival.

When Jesus walked the earth, he took ordinary guys and showed them how to be evangelists—fishers of men. Today, through the power of the Holy Spirit, ordinary people are still spreading the Good News about Jesus. And just like 2,000 years ago, it's not always easy. Still, every follower of Christ is called to share the Gospel. Here are some ways to get started.

1. Identify your mission field. (It may be closer than you think!)
Have you ever heard the expression, "Bloom where you're planted"? That's what God wants us to do with the Gospel—make the most of our circumstances and reflect His love to everyone around us. You don't have to be a pastor or missionary to tell people about Jesus, either; just think of all the people around you in need of hope.

Psalm 96:3 tells us to "Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!" Keep your eyes open for people you can talk to and ways you can connect the conversation with Christ. Catch up with a family member by phone or text message. Use social media to encourage a friend. Let a coworker know you are praying for him or her. Take dinner to a neighbor in need. Ask a cashier how their day is going and really listen. Be intentional about forming relationships with people around you.

One more tip, and this is a biggie: Don't underestimate the power of prayer. As Billy Graham once said, "Prayer is crucial in evangelism: … No matter how logical our arguments or how fervent our appeals, our words will accomplish nothing unless God's Spirit prepares the way."

2. Focus on the Gospel.
Billy Graham has said, "I do not have to make the Gospel relevant; it is always relevant in any part of the world … [and] I must get the whole Gospel in [every] sermon."

The Gospel has power to transform lives. If you're short on time and want to explain the Good News in a nutshell, share John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

There are also things you can do to show your faith over time:

Live a consistent, Christ-centered life. (Need help? Find 9 ways to grow in your faith.)
Be a friend and a good listener.
The Holy Spirit gives us power to share the Gospel (Acts 1:8). Pray He will give you opportunities to share your faith.
Avoid arrogance and preachiness.
Remember, we're all sinners in need of a Savior. Try to see people as God sees them—as treasured creations made in His image and loved unconditionally. When we see others that way, we will want to follow God's command to share the hope of the Gospel (Matthew 28:19-20).

3. Share true stories of God's power.
No matter how "ordinary" yours may seem, we've all got a story to tell and you never know what it can mean to someone until you share it. Jesus often talked in parables so people could better grasp God's plans, instructions and power. In the same way, you can use personal experiences and stories to relate to others and tell them about Christ.

Keep in mind, though, that most people will only give you a few minutes to get your point across. So you don't ramble on and on, try writing down your story—focusing on a few key points. Ask God to give you guidance as you write (James 1:5-6). These questions may also help you narrow your testimony down to three minutes or so:

What was life like before you accepted Christ?
How did you receive Christ? What did you hear? How did you respond? Why did you choose to put your trust in Christ? Try to mention a Bible verse or two, but be careful not to overwhelm your listener.
How has life changed since accepting Christ? It's OK if you stumbled or struggled in the past. The important thing is to be honest and relatable here.
Do your best to write the way you speak and practice your story until it's natural.

Above all, remember that it's God's business to turn a person's heart towards Christ. Though we are to be obedient in sharing our faith, our persuasion alone is not enough. As 1 Corinthians 3:6 says, some plant, some water, but it is God who makes the seed grow.

'That girl is d--n wild!' Dare laughed loudly as
he got into the driver's side of the car. 'I had to
beg her to stop because she wouldn't get tired,
she just kept on riding without pity'
He cleaned his face with a white handkerchief
as he paused to listen. He loosened his tie and
took it off his neck, opening the two top
buttons of his collared shirt. His eyes met with
the scar on his forehead through the front
mirror as he relaxed back in the seat.
He had gotten the scar two months ago when
he got himself drunk to stupor on his birthday.
He had attempted to pull the shirt of one of his
friend's invitees to the party and she responded
by pushing him violently away, not minding that
he was the celebrant of the day. He hit his
head on a table beside them. Since then, his
face had been disfigured with the black scar.
'OK, I agree I'm not strong' he began with
another round of laughter. 'Just get me
someone better this Friday night'
He rounded up the call in few seconds and
started the car engine, he wasted some more
seconds to fasten his seat belt before
proceeding to drive out of the company's gate.
He received salutations from other employees
as he drove out and face the main road. He had
driven for only one minute when his eyes met
something attractive. He smacked his lips and
took a deep breath as he fixed his eyes on the
sexy legs walking up the road.
'Hello Pretty, where are you going to?' He pulled
up close to her.
'Sir?' She pretended not to hear as she bent
down to look into the car.
'What way are you going to?' He took another
deep breath as he viewed her b----t neatly

She was already tired of waiting for him outside
the gate. She has tried to trap him also the day
before and waited at that same point for him,
only for him to drive happily by without taking
any look at her side, it seemed his mind was
disturbed the other day.
This was the only trick that Tarasha could play
this time as going to his office could revealed
her identity after the operation. The company
had been studied and it was found to have
several security measures that could keep
records of her visit. Trying to break and corrupt
their security devices would only waste more
time, so Tarasha opted for the option of getting
him to notice her on the road.
'Can we go sir?' She said to the stunned Dare
who waa still feeding his eyes on her thighs
sheepishly.
'Oh sure' he replied like he was caught
unawares and started the driving.

'No thanks. God would have gotten angry with
me if I had refused to help an Angel. I did it for

'Lorita restaurant' she answered.
'For lunch, I guess?' He took a quick glance at

'Yea, kind of'
'Wow!' He exclaimed. 'So who's this lucky guy
who's opportuned to take you out for lunch?'
'No one, I'm going alone'
'Alone?' His eyes widened in disbelief.
'Yes, alone' she replied firmly.
'Okay, your boyfriend is coming to meet you
there ' he voiced out his assumption.
'No, I'm going alone' she repeated. 'I'm new in
Abuja and I've got no friends yet, I came to do
business'
'Are you kidding me?' He talked with so much
excitement. 'I hope you won't mind if I join you'
'Of course, you're welcome'
'Wow! ' he smiled happily.

'Why didn't I even check here?' Henry laughed
at himself as he tossed the bug on the table.
He remembered arguing about itbwith the
attendants at the computer company when he
had gone for his ID card. He insisted that they
would have found it the same way they found
the card and that one of the workers had taken
it for himself because it was seen as a special
type of bug. He totally forgot that he went to
the company with a bag.
He picked up the bug and brought it close to
his eyes to scrutinize again. He sighed and
shook his head in a negative manner. He had to
dismantle the device and check the
components before making any reasonable
conclusion.
What he planned to do was to learn the working
techniques of the device, that would help him
avoid getting into a trap like Robin Kahn did.
Then he would be able to trace the real
address from whatever trap was set.

plumpy girl explained to the two officers seated

'I thought you said you were not close to Aisha,

'You see' she began her explanation. 'Aisha was
a sportswoman, she was loved by everyone.
The only reason some people stayed far from
her was get association with Daniel. Daniel was
a rough guy, believed to be a deadly cultist but
that assertion wasn't proven. So everyone
except teammates maintained a distance from
Aisha, they could only speak with her briefly
when she wasn't around Daniel or his friends'
'So he was already dreaded in year two?' James
raised a brow.
'Yes, as a matter of fact, there were rumors
that he was already a committed member of
the cult before he gained admission'
'Hmm, serious' James nodded his head slowly
and took a glance at Sandra. 'Do you know
where we can find this Daniel?'
'No, I don't have any idea' she replied.
'What about the girl you saw him with?'
'She lives down the street, I can show you to
her house'

'So Evelyn, what part of Nigeria are you from?'
Dare asked as he took a bite of the chicken.
They were seated opposite each other in the

rested back in the chair.

'Business?' He started stared at her in disbelief.

She replied with a chuckle. She took another
sip from the glass cup.
'Ain't you eating again?' He stared at the
remnant of the food in front of her.
'I'm full' she smiled.
'Come on' he cleaned his oily lips with a tissue
paper. 'You've not even taken up to five bites'

'No, thanks' she took a glance at the wristwatch

'Let me drive you home' he offered, getting up
from his seat.

you know how to get back home?'
'Of course' she laughed heartily. 'How do you
think I know this restaurant? I've been briefed
about this city and I also have the map' she
displayed something on her phone's screen to
him.
He smiled. 'Well, I insist on taking you home'
'Alright, I agree' she eyed him playfully and took
the lead.
He licked his lips and rubbed his palms together
as he had a view of her behind once again. He
caught up with her and they walked silently to
the car. He opened the door for her to sit first
before entering into the driver's side.
'So where are you staying exactly? Where's
your house?' He asked before starting the car
engine.
She smiled. 'I don't have a house yet, I'm
planning to pay for a property next week, I'm in
a hotel for now'
'What?? That means you don't have somewhere
to stay?' He glanced at her as he began to
drive.
'I just told you I stay in a hotel'
'And you're comfortable there?'
'What? Why not?' She wiped her hair
backwards. 'I'm not staying there for too long'
'I can help you get your own property this week,
a very good one' he said
'No thanks. My Dad specified what he wants me
to get'
'We can get something of the same kind' he

'Yeah'. She looked at him funnily.
'You're lucky that everywhere is tarred in this
city. If you get to the rough side of the country,
your whole body would be covered by dust
already'
'Wow! Is it that bad?'
'We don't see it as bad anymore, it's just one of
our seasons'
'What season does cotton grow here?' She
suddenly changed the topic again.
'Hmm…' He scratched his beards. 'I don't really
know but I can find out for you. Why do you
ask?'
'I'm into the cotton business and I hear the
industry here is big. I'm looking for a good
company to partner with' Evelyn explained.

adjusting her head tie as she sniffed.
'Calm down madam, let's hear you well' James
urged, as he couldn't hear what she was saying
amidst tears.
'My daughter has left this house since the thirty
first day of December and has not returned
since then' she repeated.
'Where did she say she was going to?' James
enquired.
'She only said she was going to see her friend'
'Which of her friends?'
'She did not specify, she said she wasn't going
to stay long'
'Has this been reported to the police?'
'Yes, it has. They've questioned all her friends
that we know but no one seems to know where
she is'
'Have they questioned her friend Daniel?'
'Who is Daniel ?' She asked ignorantly.
'You don't know Daniel?'
'None of her friends bear that name'
James turned to look at Sandra to come in with
an explanation. 'Daniel is very tall, he's dark and
not too slim'
The woman looked more confused at the
explanation. 'He came here with her on the
thirtieth of this December' Sandra put in.
The Woman looked at her son standing beside
her for affirmation or denial. 'I don't know if he
came to the house with her but I saw them
walking on the street' Sandra quickly added.
'Yes, I saw her with a stranger that day' the
light skinned teenage boy joined in. 'But they
did not stay together for long'
'The person was a total stranger?' James
turned to the boy.
He affirmed by nodding his head. 'Was he a
stranger to Franca too?'
'I think he was her Facebook friend. I overheard
them saying something like that'
'What's Franca's Facebook ID' James brought
out his phone and began to type into it.

Henry looked sober in his room. His head rested
on his two palms that were clasped together as
he mumbled some words under his breath. He
had just finished listening to a salvation
message by popular Nigerian televangelist ,
Chris Oyakhilome and had been fired up from
inside. Though he was a Christian, he wasn't a
committed one. Now, his mind had just been
awoken again to the love of God and how why
he should be passionate about God.
His phone rang, disturbing his prayers. He
switched it off immediately and hid it under his
pillow. He picked up the bible on the stool in
front of him and began to flip through the
pages, he was unsure of where to stop. He
turned back to the concordance and located
the word "love", he began a more intensive
study on it.

'Make sure it is organized before this afternoon'
Tarasha said, looking into the laptop screen.
'Sure, I'll get it done' the reply came in a thick
Russian accent.
Tarasha closed the video calls application and
shut down the laptop. The landline in the room
rang aloud.
'Hello'
'Good evening Miss Evelyn, A man by the name
Dare Lawal is waiting for you' a voice came
through.
'Thank you, I'll be down shortly' she said and
dropped the call.
She catwalked to the mirror and viewed herself
one more time. She was looking perfectly okay
in her blue trouser suit, more importantly she
looked business minded.
She picked her handbag and proceeded out of
the room. She got to the reception in two
minutes.
'Hi' Dare smiled and got up as he spotted her.
'Good morning'
'Good morning.' She smiled back.
'How was your night?' He extended his hand to
her.
'Perfect, how about you?'
'Awesome' he said and placed a gently kiss on
the back of her palm. 'I was thinking about you
all night'
'Really?'
'Yeah. It's like I never met someone as
beautiful as you are before'
'Oh! That's sweet' she blushed, getting her
acting skills perfectly.
'Anything for an angel' he grinned. He arranged
the tip of his suit properly before taking her
hands in his. 'Shall we?' He smiled and ushered
her forward with his other hand.
'So what part of the city are you taking me to?'
Evelyn asked as they walked out of the hotel.
'Asokoro. There are lots of apartment you'll like
there'
'Alright, let's see' she gave a bright smile as she
stepped into the car.
'You will like it, my Dad stays there. You'll be
able to see him often and partner well with him'
he said before closing the door. He smiled as
he turned to the driver's seat. His concern
wasn't her partnership with his father. He was
so focused on getting in between her thighs
that he wouldn't have raised any doubt if all she
had told me about herself the last night didn't
sound authentic.

This story is about a Lady Assassin who was
trained in Russia, specially skilled in the art and
carrying out the job with no fears, restraints or
apologies.
She became so powerful and was greatly feared
by several of her male counterparts, including
some of the masters who trained her. She hated
so many things, God was number one on her
hatred list.
She came down to Nigeria and was still involved
in her profession until she met someone who
was willing to help her start a new life.
But people from the past came into her life
bringing back old memories. Then she met her
match, another fierce assassin

Prologue
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

At the age of 30, James Filler was considered one of the top players in 'Another Fantasy Online'.
Having played for 20 years or rather 140 years in-game he managed to leave a lasting impression on the world as the game's most powerful undead. If one were to watch his adventures from beginning to end, only one word would describe him, 'Godly'.
Much like most players, he started out playing as a human. Dying from swarms of lv1 rabbit, lv1 birds, drowning in the city fountain, dying from a dropped vase, getting ran over by... well let's just say he died a lot in the beginning.
To be honest his fate only really started changing once he encountered some crazy hag who mutilated his body by slowly wrenching off the skin, muscles, and body tissue from his bones.
Now before you say:
'That's not true! The game can't be that brutal, right?'
'It's impossible, if that's the case then how come nobody else experienced this?!'
'He would have died from the damage taken, so how was he still alive?!'
Just hear me out.
We all know A.F.O (Another Fantasy Online) has its moments when it shows its sadistic side, negating player damage, for a 'more immersive experience' during special quests or events.
Fortunately, the game reduced his pain sensitivity to 20%; unfortunately, I don't think it helped much because he still screamed like a banshee.
After the torture had ended, he discovered his status no longer read 'Human', rather it read 'High Undead Skeleton'. Dissatisfied, he started cursing his luck and the heavens until he realized the perks of this change. As a High Undead he no longer had a hunger stat, gained infinite stamina, and as a race bonus he received a substantial amount of bonus stats for himself and his summoned undead.
By this point everything really started to ameliorate. He started slaughtering his way through monster infested areas gaining level after level; after rising to lv100, he unlocked the racial ability 'Bone Guard', allowing him to summon 4 skeleton guards that had around two-thirds of his stats.
Even though he was doing better by this point; his luck was still terrible. When trying to prank scare a Npc his skull got smashed in by falling stones, he was frequently used as a chew toy by a Cerberus that continuously chased after him, and a few more incredibly awkward/embarrassing things.
Hahaha, *Wipes away tears from laughter*
While I could keep you hear reminiscing about the good times, I think we all want to get to the part that matters.
10 years after he started playing A.F.O James created the dungeon we all know and love, 'Dominion'. For those that don't know, this dungeon spans about one hundred floors and is capable of merging into ten super floors. The type of monsters that could occupy the floors are golems, forest and mountain type monsters, undead, higher class undead, and demons; as of right now the remaining types are a unknown.
Over the course of a few years, in-game, he spent his time building his dungeon's power and sustainability in prelude to the 'Rise of the Demon King Event'. During this event he managed to go from lv363 to lv603 through conquest and Indulging himself in the mass genocide of all living creatures who stood in his path; he was truly one of the only players who embodied a true demon king, even to this day.
*Sigh*
A little more than six months ago we discovered he caught the XE15A virus from an individual within his apartment building. As most or all you should know this virus is an ongoing pandemic and those that get infected will die within the first six months if not treated.
 ***While there currently isn't a cure the first batch should be created six months from now.

After being told that there was currently no cure and that it would be possible to prolong his life until the cure could be created, he decided to turn down their offer and not live a life knee high in debt. Rather than waiting a year, he expressed his desire to be quarantined and to spend the remainder of his life playing A.F.O...
I received a call from him about a week ago asking me to post his story on the forums so he could forever be a part of the game or something like that, on the day of his passing. To be honest, I just wished he wasn't so stubborn and asked me for money to help treat him, but he wouldn't put his pride aside and accepted thing as is.

"WAIT WAIT WAIT, WHAT DID YOU SAY!?"
[Abnormal speaking habits detected. Proceeding to reset Npc No.19970609…]
Panicking he hurried and said interjectedly "No! there is no need for that, I was just surprised to hear what you just said! Also, my name is James, James Filler, not Npc No. whatever…" [Npc No.19970609]
 "Sigh. Yea that; I would really appreciate it if you stop calling me that and call me by my name. Also why was High Undead removed from the rebooted version of Another Fantasy Online?"
After waiting a short moment, the system calmly responded [The race High Undead was removed do to it purely being redundant. Lich, Death Knight, and Pure-Blooded Vampires could all be considered High Undead. To make the world more engaging, all elements that could break the feeling of immersion has been removed]
After thinking about its James realize that this was technically not wrong; rather than calling a skeleton High Undead Skeleton another title could be given, such as Skeleton King or Skeleton Knight. Even though he didn't want to give up on the class that made him who he was, he was still looking forward to making another legend.
With a face full of dejection, James began depressively scrolling through the list of races once more. Suddenly, he had an epiphany, throwing his head up he excitedly asked, "Rather than deciding on a race within this list, would it be possible for me to create a race?"
