On the other side of the world, a short and bespectacled man had finally arrived at a tall building.
Several tall and black men who guarded the door greeted him respectfully.
The short bespectacled man simply smiled and waved as he strode by.
"Now that, Raffias, is Shark Umberton. He is one of the most influential people who reside in this tower. He actually purchased the rooftop of this very tower so be sure to treat him with the utmost respect!" The black man with a more distinguished uniform spoke.
Raffias, the guard-in-training nodded and imprinted the figure of the man who just passed by.
"I know that man! I've seen him on the news! Isn't he that business guru and professor? He is fighting for the human rights of his people." The other guard nodded.
"Yes. The very same. But don't stereotype him because he is some spiritual leader. He is actually a very nice person. You will receive plenty of gifts just by serving him well." The supervisor added.
Shark Umberton was a timid, but brilliant man. He was one of the few people who was a widely outspoken Jew who could openly reveal and enforce his religious beliefs and still get away with it. His secret? He gives away money.
Because of his unique business enterprise that links various companies of different technological possibilities, Shark Umberton was one of the very first individuals to have produced products that are a mixture of various technological possibilities but remained in line with the rules set by the World Governing Powers.
This venture was originally deemed as impossible, but Shark Umberton's connection proved to be so massive, that he made the impossible possible. Several businesses corporation tried to reach out to him. And when he was so influential and powerful, he revealed his Jewish heritage.
The secret of this was to his generosity and manner of giving. He owned several charity organizations and was widely known in the united nation of Africa. Due to the nation's tolerance to religious organizations, Shark Umberton managed to secure support from many illustrious businessmen and investors which brought his name on par to the various African Elite.
Shark finally reached the private elevator which his employees begged him to use in fear of his own safety. The elevator would take him to the penthouse he owned at the top floor and access to it was extremely strict.
As the elevator doors opened, Shark walked over and sighed.
His wife and their three kids had a party to attend to at the other edge of the continent.
He went straight to the kitchen to cook a meal for himself.
Suddenly, a creeping sensation had been tickling him. The sensation made him gaze towards the west. Nothing was there.
"Strange." He couldn't help but murmur.
It then happened all too suddenly.
A powerful presence made him shiver in fear as he knew something was standing right behind him.
"Shark Umberton." The sound was powerful. He could feel the very words of the voice impact his back. The voice had a strange reverbing effect that made each of his words echo out. It was as if the rushing sounds of a waterfall followed the voice.
The pressure grew stronger and Shark fell down in great fear.
He slowly turned and there stood a man with two strange blue wings that appeared like lightning.
Shark was gripped with fear and shock as he struggled to move away from the being.
"Son of man, do not be afraid. I have come because the Lord has anointed me to preach good things. To speak and herald to you about things that are too come. The year of the Lord's favor is near and the day of vengeance for our God. No longer shall My people name their sons, Ichabod, saying that the Glory of the Lord has departed. No longer shall they name their daughters LoAmmi saying that we are not His People and He is not our God. But many shall rejoice for the day of Purim is near."
A sudden majestic force surrounded Shark as strange golden dust enveloped him. Soon he was lifted up by the strange golden dust and carried nearer to stand before the man.
The man had a strange countenance and his very eyes were golden. His face was dark like brazen iron and the hair of the man was glowing white.
As Shark was lifted up, he immediately bowed down in worship. But right before he could bow down, a powerful kick met him and jolted him back up. The dust continued to carry him as he floated while screaming and holding on to his broken nose.
"Stand up! I am merely a servant of the Lord just like you!" The angel commanded angrily.
"Forgive me!" Shark screamed in terror.
"The wicked plot is at foot as the demons of this Earth have harbored evil intent to my people. The age of the Gentiles is coming to an end and my people will once again receive mercy. Shortly after this, you shall be approached by a people belonging not to a nation you know. They know not the Lord your God and they know not His statutes. They shall speak to you as they speak to their beloved."
"What shall they ask of me?"
"To save the people of the Lord your God. They shall walk in the footsteps of Nimrod and rebuild that great city. And in it, they shall gather my People."
"Am I to stop them?"
"You shall journey with them to wherever land they take you and you shall take their golds, their ornaments, their silvers, and the precious stones. And you shall use that to gather my people. But trust not in these people who grant you the gold, the silver, the ornaments or precious stones. For they shall strike your heel but He shall soon come and crush their heads. The enemy shall number beyond the sands of the seashore and your foes shall bring down many cities and lay desolations upon desolations.  But though a thousand may die at your side, and though ten thousand shall fall before you, no harm will come near you. Take courage, you who are favored by the Lord of Host. Rejoice and go and do the task you are called to do."
"Oh, great Angel! I am but a man! I do not know what you mean! I cannot do that! Send someone else! Someone stronger!"
"The spirit of Daniel has once more been sent here. He shall tell you what to do. Seek out he who can tread in the Lion's Den and he shall be your guide."
"Oh, great Angel! I beg of you! Send someone else!" Shark cried in fear.
The dust started to move around erratically and started crushing Shark.
"AHHHHH!"
"I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of the Holy One of Israel, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. And now you will be silent and not able to speak until you find the time of my former coming because you did not take courage to the command of the Lord." The angry voice of Gabriel drifted off leaving the poor Shark spinning around and falling to the ground.
When he came to, Shark was stunned that he could no longer speak.
In a panic-stricken shock, he quickly looked around him and noticed that there wasn't anything around him that could prove the occurrence of the strange scene which he witnessed. He gazed up and towards the night sky that could be seen through his large glass windows. It gave a view of the city, but more so, it gave a bright view of the stars above.
He sat there for minutes as he dazed off staring at the glorious sky.
Suddenly, he recalled the angel's last words and thought hard. There was something familiar with the words.
"Gabriel… Where did I hear that?" Shark thought to himself in a hurry.
It was then that Shark spotted an odd book lying around. This was where the angel Gabriel once stood.
He reached out to it and was stunned as he looked at the title.
"The Gideons ESV Bible"
It was then he remembered the name.
Shark opened the book and skipped the entire Torah, the book of the Prophets and everything which he knew the Christians called the Old Testament.
He speedily read through every page of the Gospels and soon reached in the Gospel of Luke.
It was there he saw the verse of Gabriel's appearance.
"Gabriel!" In shock, Shark screamed the name.
While his former shock had not yet died out, he then realized he could once more speak.
He sat there in silence and slowly turned to every page of the Bible this time with his belief shaken. The very Gabriel had appeared before him and cursed him with the same curse the priest had in the Gospels.
As his beliefs came crashing down, and as he embraced the book and clung on to it with every bit of his soul, the man known as Shark Umberton started praying. But this time, to the man he read to be called Jesus.
Under the dark sky of the city, two figures were sitting down a fast-food restaurant dining.
"Why did you kick him?" Alean finally asked.
"Eagle's orders. Angel's don't allow man to worship them…"
Alean furrowed her browse as a curious expression surfaced.
"Why do you feel… afraid? From what I hear, he's like the one Overcomer who wouldn't hurt a soul. Why would you be afraid of him?"
"It something about his Path. It's basically the opposite of mine." Lowengren gave a solemn expression and kept on eating.
Alean was silent and took note at Lowengren's refusal to discuss Eagle's Path.
"Anyway, how sure are you that he wouldn't be able to speak before reading Luke chapter one? Are you that confident with your hypnosis?"
"Of course!" Lowengren frowned as he munched off a large piece of the burger.
"I can hypnotize anyone in Warfreakz and they're all at Unbecoming Advent! Much more a Jewish professor!" Lowengren frowned.
"Alright. I'm just making sure. I've been uncomfortable at the hasty plans we've been making. We should have asked Lennox with this plan. How sure are you that it would be Shark? We mess up with this one then all our plans would fail."
"We won't. First of all, this isn't a hasty plan. Don't underestimate Arthur's prediction. He who Treads in the Lion's Den never treads hastily. It seems hasty because I had to go in and out of America before the WGP banned international interactions. But the truth is, he's already made that plan since we heard that meeting of theirs through the gold coin that Richie gave to that Pioneer, Madelyn. Besides, even I would do the same thing. The best person who should gather the Jews would be the Jews themselves. No one else could easily pull that off like this guy." Lowengren continued munching.
"We just have to make another scene and lead Amir Mann here and we can get out of this stupid country." Lowengren munched off angrily. The battles and escapes he had to do push his brain to the limits. If Cliff hadn't wounded the man, then their team would have been wiped out.
"What's wrong with your training? Why can't my guys shoot as good as those freaks with Seeker?" Lowengren complained.
"They didn't have Charles as their teacher. I can only shoot with high accuracy within a given distance. It was Charles who trained Meryl and Lynd how to handle a gun back then." Alean sighed.
Even Alean was stunned at Charles's innate ability to wield guns. He was better at using long-ranged rifles than anyone Alean knew in Harker's army.
"Great. Just great. Once we get back I'm having Warfreakz undergo that training with Charles." Lowengren frowned.
"Let's hope he manages to save Ricardo. That poor baby... I've never seen such strange cancerous disease."
"Acquired radiation from the nukes of world war three and cancer… That's a painful combination. Luckily Charles got the cancer part fixed." Lowengren sighed in amazement. He had little interaction with Charles but all of it impressed Lowengren immensely.
"So Cliff got his training from Charles as well? He's Path is interesting. I'm sure Seeker knows that Cliff has a Path that could be similar to Lynd's."
"It's that formidable? No wonder Seeker insisted on making Cliff the sniper back then. He already noticed Cliff's particularity.
 "You're Path's not half bad too. To think we could have escaped from Amir Mann without losing an arm or leg. Poor Typical."
"Yeah. He was trying too hard. If we didn't arrive earlier he would have surely been dead." Alean recalled Typical's gruesome figure.
 "He's trying to become an Overcomer. Those assassins got a wakeup call. They realized how far off they were in skill. The next time we see them, they would be a scary group." Lowengren sighed.
"I hope that they're safe. Their departure was too abrupt it might have caught the attention of Amir Mann."
"You underestimate my deception." Lowengren frowned as he continued munching.
"Worry about us. Amir Mann is definitely chasing us." Lowengren gave a long sigh as if the realization of being on Amir Mann's crosshair made him extremely uneasy.
Alean continued to look at Lowengren.
"How come you're not erm… afraid? That battle was extremely terrifying."
"Of course I'm afraid. I still get nightmares from then memory of that quick encounter with him. But this has always been my life even before we all met. So I'm kind of used to it."Alean laughed.
BEEP!
A small square device suddenly lit up.
"Hm? Seeker's sending some highly classified information. Something must have happened."Alean noticed.
Lowengren frowned.
"It must be related to what Arthur predicted. The possibility that newer Aragarians are joining the fray." Lowengren said as he continued stuffing the burger on his mouth.
"We'll have to wait. I'm guessing their class will be shortly in session. We could receive the information within a few hours. For now, we lay low and make preparations for another deception."
"We'll at least we have some free time. That satellite drop made me extremely… queasy." Alean shook her head.
"Then you must be looking forward to our upcoming swim to reach the Arabian nations…"
"Why did you agree with Arthur's suggestion?"Alean frowned.
"We are Unlocked. Our capacities are far greater and stronger than that of a human."
"That doesn't explain why we should swim through the Red Sea. Without any powerful gear at that!"Alean glanced angrily.
"It's the best way to remain undetected." Lowengren countered.
Alean remained speechless at Lowengren's behavior. 
"I wonder how Zeek is doing…" Alean wondered as she gazed at the farthest star which brightly glowed in the night sky.
Lowengren glanced at Alean and shook his head as Alean was entranced by the bright moon above them.
He stared deeply at the very preoccupied Alean but could not say the words he wanted to say.
 "He should be doing fine. Perhaps more than fine. Who knows how far he's grown? We've never seen him put an effort in fighting since three months ago. And all that he has been doing was just relaxing at school and then those crazy streams and gambles…" Lowengren shook his head once more.
"Jealous? Well, I don't blame you. He gets to play at home while we're out here facing an Overcomer, swimming through the ocean, and getting dropped and gliding from a freakin satellite launch! Even with my Unlocking that drop was too much for me!"
"He's just preparing. I bet the next time we meet him; he'll have interesting gifts from him. And I'm not jealous. No way. I say let him rest. A few months isn't enough of a day-off with what's in store for him. One-on-one with a fully awakened Overcomer? It's too soon even for him."


An alien race invaded the Earth on June 6, 2128. At the midst of this war, many nations allied with the alien threat and the war nearly wiped out the rebelling humans of the planet. At the edge of mankind's survival, the United Nations Army launched its forces to eliminate the immediate stellar threats that loomed over Earth.

General Seeker Carlean, commander and leader of the mission, risked and gave his life to destroy the immediate stellar threat. The battle was won though Earth lay in ruins. Perhaps mankind will live to see a few years of peace before the alien threat returns to wipe out their existence.

At the immediate aftermath of the stellar battle, the fallen Seeker Carlean awakens and finds himself at aged 17, living the peaceful life he lived 16 years before he died.

So begins a new game in the battle for humanity's survival.

After Baiyi left, the President finally was able to let out a sigh of relief. Using his hand to rub his temple, he lamented, "I have no idea why but I feel like this Master Hope is kind of terrifying."
"I'm rather curious about his identity actually. Could it be that the rumor is true? That he is a sorcerer from the Ancient Rohserl Empire? But is it possible that a supernatural being from that era still exists? Would it really be reincarnated into the form of a Soul Armature right in front of our eyes?" Vice President Kim added.
"According to the analysis and study results of the current academia level, this is almost impossible." Vice President Lee replied, "It has already been more than 6000 years since the fall of the Ancient Rohserl Empire and the Soul Armature technique was only invented 4000 years ago. It's rare for anybody to have such a long lifespan. Moreover, in that era where there is no Soul Armatures yet, the soul of the deceased would not have such a strong desire for survival and would not even take the initiative to use sheer force to maintain the existence of their consciousness or sense of self. Their souls would often dissipate very quickly after their death."
"Therefore, in theory, the possibility for the sorcerer of the Ancient Rohserl Empire to survive is so small that it is almost negligible. This is also the consensus theory among the academia. Taking into considerations the fact that many people are very interested in that mysterious magical empire, and the sake of maintaining peace between all clans and tribes, this news was not announced and made known to the public. Many people still think that it is possible for this orthodox sorcerer to survive, albeit rare." President Rhansey continued voicing his opinion, "However, if there really is a Rohserl sorcerer who can break through the almost-zero probability and survived till now to become a Soul Armature, that would be really... Hmmm, I wonder how powerful he was during his past life?"
"Rohserlian sorcerers, the group of zealots who attempted to rob the prestige of God... Perhaps, there really is such a guy?" Vice President Kim said half-jokingly, "If such a person really do exist, I suppose he must be at least an emperor, right? Who knows? Perhaps it was the Emperor Rohserl XIX?"
"Alright, alright! We're a bunch of old men having crazy fantasies like kids. That's enough! We still have a lot of work on hand. Let's go settle them first. We'll see how it goes after three days!" The President finally said.
At that moment, Baiyi did not know that they were secretly discussing his identity behind his back. Of course, if he knew about their discussions, he would be more than happy to tell them that Rohserlian sorcerers were actually not as almighty as they thought they were. Most of them were actually exceptionally old-fashioned and solemn, with their ideas rigid and strategies corny. Especially the one who was thought as the most powerful among all, well, he was just a neanderthal when it came to summoning cards and would always ask his disciple for cheats when he was about to lose in games.
Then again, when Baiyi looked back, somehow the two conditions that he gave them seemed to be a little too easy. In truth, he actually wanted to extort more but after he thought about it, he did not really want to offend the college executives. After all, the overall atmosphere of the Celestial Fortress Academy was quite suitable for Mia at her current stage. Even he, himself, planned to stay here for a little while longer.
Nonetheless, Baiyi and his teacher both graduated from the teaching of the most orthodox sorcerer training, which was why he certainly would not let Mia embark on the same crooked path like the Sorcerer or the Lich. As for her lack of practical experience, well, she only needed to focus on enhancing her strength at the moment and the rest would be taken care of by the Fifth Walker.
While he was looking for her and thinking about what his next step should be, Mia was sitting comfortably on the soft couch in the reception room and was reading an unknown book. She was so absorbed in the story that the cookies and the juice that was prepared for her were all left untouched.
"What are you reading?" Baiyi asked while patting on her head.
"Ah? Oh, you're back, Mr. Hope!" The signature warm smile of hers immediately lit up her face. Holding the book up to show Baiyi, she explained, "Oh, this is the biography of the legendary Holy Paladin. It's so brilliant! But... I-I just managed to finish a few pages..." Then, with a pitiful look, she looked over to the teacher who was waiting by the door with her puppy eyes.
Well, it was a novel that was filled with embellishments and fantasies after all. It was no wonder that a little girl like her would fall for the hero.
Perhaps it was the puppy eyes that were too lethal, or perhaps it was Baiyi's terrifying presence that prompted the teacher to exclaim on the spot, "It's alright, Mia. Just bring it back with you to read it. It's fine as long as you remember to return it later."
Baiyi held back his words that was on his lips. In truth, he did not really want Mia to continue reading that book. Why? Well, the Holy Paladin of that book had now fallen so far down that he had turned into Mr. Hentai. Not only that, he would constantly stare and lust over her body with that covetous eyes almost everyday...
"SIR HOPE! YOU CAN'T DO THAT! NO! Regardless of how I am now, I was undoubtedly a qualified Paladin back then when I was still alive! There's absolutely nothing wrong with Mia reading my biography!" The voice of the Paladin could be heard protesting.
Hmmm, you have me sold. I can't deny what he was just because he's fallen now right? Without any more objection, Baiyi allowed Mia to bring the book back with her.
Because they had already applied for a leave for the afternoon, Mia did not need to go back to her class so she returned to her room and changed into her nightdress before hugging her hammerhead shark doll while continuing to read the Paladin's biography with her legs hanging off the side of the bed.
Baiyi was in no rush to discuss with her about the plans for the future so he decided to go out for a walk. After just one round, he came back with a few flowers and grasses that he had plucked and transformed all of the unused animal coin banks into flower pots. Soon after, all of those animals each had a little grass patch or flowers on top of their heads, making them look quite cute. Baiyi placed some of the pots on the windowsill and Mia's desk and hung up the rests on the wall, adding some warmth and colors to the simple room.
When he was watering the little flowers, he suddenly heard sobbing sounds behind him. Curious, he turned back to have a look and he could see that Mia's big eyes were red and tears were dripping down her cheeks and chin. Drop by drop, they dripped onto the hammerhead shark plushie.
"What's wrong?" Baiyi quickly asked.
"Boo hoo...I-It's the Paladin... Sniff... The e-e-ending was just so s-sad... Sniff" Mia said, choking on her tears.
Sigh! This is exactly why I didn't want you to read it! In the end, that guy ignited all of his holy Chi Prowess and blew himself up annihilating several thousands devils in order to protect the town behind him that housed several hundred thousands of innocent civilians. Until the very last moment, he remained faithful and steadfast to his faith and never betrayed his vow. He was indeed a hero through and through.
Fortunately, wait a minute, or should it be unfortunately, due to the sudden increase of his innate capability during the self-explosion, he somehow accidentally violated The Law, which resulted in his soul being sent to the Void.But, would you just look at him now? How has he fallen to such a point? Baiyi sighed inwardly but a question came to his mind suddenly. Wait a minute! Yes, it's true that the part where he died was quite touching but it's not to the extend where she needs to cry like this right?
"Boo hooo hooo... H-H-He did not even receive Miss Garcia's confession yet! Sniff... They haven't fulfilled their promise of getting married to each other at their hometown yet too! A-A-And that cruel torture by the Devil at the very end... Sniff..." Mia mumbled to herself again, recalling the story.
Huh? Wait a minute? Who is this Miss Garcia? And what's with that nauseating promise? Quickly, Baiyi searched for the Paladin to verify the story.
"Eh? How would I know? There were so many girls who fell for me last time! I was so busy so how could I possibly pay attention to all the feelings of those girls? Not only that, I was very devoted to the church that time. I didn't even have time to think about marriage at all, let alone making this kind of distasteful promise!" The Paladin immediately defended himself.
Then, were you tortured by the Devil before you died? Baiyi asked again.
Before the Paladin could answer him, the Devil had already cut in, "Hello? Don't think of us as idiots okay? Do you think we're crazy to actually have time to torture a person on the battlefield? Hey, we are the elite troop who excels in swift massacring alright!"
It seemed like all these tears-jerkers plots were fabricated and added into the biography, which in the end, deceived a little girl into crying herself silly. Exasperated, Baiyi took the book and turned it over to look at the author's details. As a result, the words that were staring right back at him was This biography was documented by Ignaz the Bard.
Tsk, tsk, tsk! It appears like this is somebody's method to trick a woman, eh?
"Wait a minute! Master Hope! It's perfectly normal for a bard take creative liberties when writing person's biography! It's not for the sake of... Urghhh - !" Before the Bard could finish his sentence, Baiyi had already cast a Silence Spell on him.
Damn this history fabricator! This punishment is still too light for somebody like you who falsifies stories! Baiyi could not stop cursing at the Bard in the Void while comforting Mia in the other realm. In the end, he was forced to use his Mana to grab the hammerhead shark doll and just like a puppeteer, he played with it, creating an illusion that the shark was 'alive' and helped her wipe off the tears on her face at the same time. Only then he could finally coaxed her to stop crying.
While he was doing this, there was also another person in the Void who kept pestering him to re-cast the hidden spell in the hammerhead shark doll so that he could snuggle up to Mia at night. But... of course, Baiyi dismissed that idea as well.
After Mia had finally calmed down, Baiyi decided to not expose the lies hidden in the book but instead, he used the story to pique her interest, "Mia, do you plan to become a person like the Holy Paladin in the future? A strong, brave and kind person like him before he sacrificed himself?"
The reason why he put special emphasis on the word 'before he sacrificed himself' was because that guy right now was a total weirdo! The him 'now' must be distinguished from the him 'then'! You absolutely cannot become like how the Paladin is right now!
Mia thought for a little while before nodding her head hard. By nature, she possessed a kind and warm heart, which was also why she resonated a lot with the Paladin's story and cried herself a river.
"That's great, Mia!" Baiyi sat beside her and stroked her head. Using a gentle but serious tone, he continued, "I like your kindness, but at the same time, I also hope you understand that you'll need a great deal of strength and power in order to guard and fulfil this goodness in you."
Mia nodded her head again in silence. Just like this, a psychological seed to encourage her pursuit of power was quietly planted in her heart.


Imagine being forced to live, after death, as incorporeal bodies trapped in a vast space of nothingness for thousands of years, with nothing to do but exchanging past memories with other cohabitants (read: weirdos).  Everybody wanted out, but there was no way to leave the Void...

Baiyi, finally out of the Void, was the only one who could save all of the other 32 souls from their prison and his summoner might just be The Key to their freedom.
However, Baiyi had to use the techniques and abilities the other souls had taught him throughout the years, and together with his own extensive knowledge of anime and game tropes from his shady and dangerous past as an otaku, to face the biggest challenge of them all: training the clumsy young girl he was forced to partner up with… into a competent sorcerer!

A few hours later after Xin became a friend of Otohime's children, King Neptune came to check on his children.

He is amazed seeing Xin happy talking to his four children, they look happy talking to each other while his daughter laughs from time to time.

She did not expect that their new friend is a Hero, a hero on their own Fishman Island, of course, Shirahoshi doesn't know the meaning of this world so he only understands what Hero is.

After talking and helping the kids to calm down from the excitement, Xin finally leaves with King Neptune.

With nimble steps, Zhou Qi hid on a large black curtain. Then, he regulated his breath. He heard a laughing man, shouting in glee as he walked up to the second floor. A man wearing a black suit was assisting and guiding him.
"Damn! It's really great here! There's no place like this in the whole City of Cailon. Maybe, I should open a place like this. Hiccup."
"Yes, Mr. Dior. If you want to open a branch, we could help you. With my help, I could also help you get a discount."

He bowed to the man, looking professional throughout. He swished his sleeves before gently closed the door. "Have a goodnight, Mr. Dior."
In a few seconds, Zhou Qi heard a light huff coming from Wuren, "Jackpot!"
Zhou Qi's eyes flashed.
"Yes, yes, jackpot indeed!" Zhou Qi pursed his lips, a mixture of wrath and joy flooded his heart. A creepy grin reached his face, stretching his face from ear to ear. A smile bloomed over the four corners of his face. "Hoho, I finally found you, Wuren! Time to chase debts!"

Wuren felt the grip tightening, his aged face crumpling in pain. He felt like he was a dough being massage by a baker. He was under Zhou Qi's mercy. With a few more strength, his head would definitely pop out.
He stopped his struggle after realizing what might accidentally happen. He hoped that he could still talk things through. He cursed his bad luck in his heart. Still, he believed that as long as he's still alive, everything was still on the table. He tried saying something.

A light breath echoed in his ears. It was an extremely familiar voice. It was the man whom he tried to run away from. The loan shark of slums.

The buzzing sound came from the giant grasshopper that Zhang Yi rode on previously! As for the one sitting on top of the grasshopper, it could only be Zerg Queen Zhang Yi.

"I have to squander; otherwise, won't it be a waste of my parent's talent at earning money?" Hong Dali answers a reporter's question matter-of-factly. 

Just after the interview ends, Hong Dali opens the Great Prodigal System's interface and looks at the various good stuff displayed in it. Stroking his chin, he mumbles to himself, "I just need to squander 200 billion yuan more to exchange for the blueprint of the core technology, Engine Destruction, found in the strongest humanoid mecha weapon, Neo Granzon. Looks like I'll have to work harder!"

"I want to splurge! I want to squander!"


The entire fish group was on the ship, and one Spanish Mackerel after another leaped into the seine net.
After Old Huang and the others were done reeling in the net, they immediately started storing the fish.
Chu Xian smiled as he looked at all the fish. He opened his mouth and devoured them.

"F*ck me, it's a f*cking shark! It's huge! What kind of shark is it?" The fishing folk all shot upright when they turned and saw the huge figure in the distance.
A grey body waving a huge tail, like a huge monster staring at the cruise.
"It's a great white! The world's biggest shark! How could we find such a monster?!" An old man cried out in shock, his hands fumbling with his glasses.
The Great White was the largest carnivorous fish, reaching a length up to 6.5 meters and weighing up to 3200 kilograms. Its tail was a crescent, and its large triangular teeth were edged like saws, each 10 cm long. It was a highly aggressive shark, but because of its size, although it was an apex predator, it was also the highest consumer.
The biggest Great White on record was 7.2 meters long – as large as a small boat – and could easily swallow an adult whole with its huge mouth. Of course, sharks didn't eat people.
"The Great White! Not good, it swam to the other side!" One of the middle aged men yelled in panic.
"The kids are still in the sea. Sh*t! Sh*t! Get over there and get them out!" The middle aged men yelled out in dismay and terror.
A chance meeting with a Great White might've been the highlight of their trip, but given the circumstances, it had become an impending and bloody danger.
The fishermen ran over.
"Get those people out of the water, quickly! There's a shark in the water!" The people yelled out in panic.
All the people on the cruise were stunned, including the staffers, but they still started moving back towards the cruise ship.
"Look! Shark! It's really a shark!" At that moment, a person on the cruise ship exclaimed.
Everyone on the ship looked.
Indeed, on that side of the ship was a huge figure slowly swimming in their direction!
"Oh god, my child! My baby is on that boat!" A young mother screamed in terror.
"Quickly, quickly, get back! There's a shark!"
Suddenly, the cruise ship burst out in a messy uproar, with everyone shouting at the people on the small boat.
The staff sailing the small boat looked back at the huge figure swimming towards them and quickly sped up the boat.
"Wow wow, look guys, what a big fish!" Among the crowd of terrified people came the naughty voice of a little boy who was pointing excitedly at the shark.
"Don't play around or it will eat you!" The staffer's face was cold with sweat, and he hurriedly shouted out.
The naughty child tilted his head and looked back at the great white shark.
"Don't panic everyone, don't panic!" At that moment, the manager of the cruise hurried to the scene and shouted to the panicked crowd: "It's a great white shark, but it isn't as scary as it is in the movies. Although they call the great white the 'human-eating shark,' it doesn't actually eat humans and won't attack people under normal circumstances. Please don't panic!"
"Dear, don't worry, don't worry. It'll be alright, everything will be okay. It's just as they said, sharks don't attack people for no reason. Don't worry, we don't have to worry!"
The comforting words echoed across the deck, but although everyone spoke those words, they were all still scared. After all, it was still a great white shark, a very fierce and aggressive creature.
"Mom, it's coming over!" On the small boat, a boy wrapped in the arms of his mother cried out and pointed, his shiny eyes locked onto the swimming shark.
"Don't be afraid! Don't be afraid!" The woman covered her head and clutched him closer.
"Don't be afraid!" The staffer on the boat also called out in a small voice.
And the great white swam slowly past their small boat.
The staffer exhaled softly, immediately revved up the engine and rushed back to the cruise ship.
The cruise ship workers immediately hauled up the kids and got them back on board, exhaling heavily in relief.
"Be careful!" The small boat boarded the cruise ship safely and the manager breathed a sigh of relief before turning back to the six small boats still in the water.
For whatever reason, the great white was just swimming around beside them, but the danger was still there.
But to everyone's relief, the small boats returned to the ship safely, one after the other, and the great white left them alone.
"Children, don't move, don't play around!" On one of the remaining boats, the staff member was staring nervously at the great white and yelled out shakily.
A four or five-year-old boy in a turtle life vest looked over at the shark with curiosity, his face showing some hesitation before he suddenly thrust out his hand.
"Ya! Look, mom. I caught it!"

I'm dead, and I still couldn't believe it, and I'm still cannot accept it. I'm still single, well I mean I had a girlfriend waiting for me back in Texas, she's so hot and she agreed to marry me when I came back from Greece! Im still young, 23 years old, I mean come on, why?! This is not fair, seriously, not fair! I swung my fist around and found I enveloped in some kind of liquid. I moved around and bumped into something soft, I groaned internally. Great, I'm in some kind of enclosed space full with strange liquid. Is this some kind of new hell? Or heaven?

Suddenly a huge force pushed me out, and bright light attacked my eyes. I blinked rapidly and saw a middle man face peered at me. He lifted me up, wait, what?! How could he lifted me up that easy?

"It's a boy!" he exclaimed.

I yelled at him to put me down, but I only heard baby cries. I shut my mouth, the cries stopped. Oh, crap, no, no, no! I quickly looked at my own body, I let out a cry of protest when I found myself trapped in a baby body. Crap, this is not some kind of I'm being reborn and shit right? This is so not happening! I yelled at god for doing this to me, but I only heard baby cries again. The middle age man handed me to a woman.

"There, there" she said softly and put me on her chest, I could hear her heart beating slowly but steadily.

I looked up to her and saw her blue eyes, this woman had beautiful curly black hair and tan skin. She smiled at me and stroke my back.

"Jonah Rivers" she murmured at me.

I internally flinched when she said my name, Jonah is my old name too. How did she…?

"You have your father eyes" she said again.

My previous eyes is Blue and I had blonde hair, but I couldn't see my own eyes and hair right now, so…Crap, I really wanted to see my appearance right now. The woman smiled again and she began to breast-feed me. I just rolled my eyes at this action. Great, now I'm a baby, and guess what, I have to go through all that puberty thing again dont I?

3 years later

I sat on the corner of the room, while watching other kids run around the room. My mom sent me to the day care, so I could play with other kids at my age. She knew I'm different, after all I'm way smarter than other kids, I could speak when I'm 1 year old and walked soon after that. I can count when I'm at 2 years old. Right now I'm practically can speak at full sentences and did some simple math equation. My mom kind of freak out when she found out what can I do, but whenever I read books, the letter just floated around and I couldn't read it. I got dyslexia and ADHD, according to the doctor anyway. Having both of that thing remind me of something, I remembered the novel that I read on my previous life, I shivered at that thought and prayed to all the god I knew that this is still real world, without demigod and monster freely roaming around. But, the god clearly hated me and they loved to torture me. I froze when saw a 3 years old boy, walked towards me, he had sea-green eyes and jet black hair. No, no, no, I quickly stood up and backed down slowly. Not him! Come on, I'm not even reached 10 years old and I already met him! The boy didn't realize that I clearly avoided him, he kept walked towards me with a big smile on his face.

"Hi!" he said cheerfully when he succeeded in cornering me.

I stared at him, I refused to talk. He tilted his head cutely and looked at my eyes.

"M'name is Pe-Pe-Pe'cy Jac'son" he said and grinned at me.

Percy Jackson, a.k.a, Perseus Jackson. Poseidon son, a demigod. Yep, I'm in his world, when the Greek gods set their throne at the highest building on New York, Empire state building. Percy still grinning at me and I'm glaring at him.

"What's you' name?" he asked me.

Glaring.

"Hey" Percy still looked at me.

Percy pouted cutely and crossed his arms "Not f'iendly"

I sighed in defeated and sat down on the floor. I massage my temple and looked up at Percy who still looked at me with wide innocent eyes.

"Jonah. Jonah Rivers" I said.

"Jo-nah Riverz"Percy stuttered when he tried to spell my name "You' name is too ha'd"

I smiled and shook my head "Not really"

Percy quickly sat in front of me and offered me his hand "Jonah, want to be my f'iends?"

I looked at his hand carefully. Shaking hands with him will be seal my fate here and now, but if I pissed him off, well I'm doomed anyway. Pissing off the main character is a dangerous thing to do, especially when his parent one of the big three. I slowly lifted my hand and shook his hand slowly.

"Okay" I said casually and shook his hand.

Percy squealed in delight and jumped at me, hugged me well, more like glopped me like a koala. I fell back on my back, with Percy on top of me. I rolled my eyes and wondering, how long will I life in this world?

7 years old

"Percy! Stop pulling me!" I said as Percy pulling me to the rest area.

Percy didn't care my cry of protest and he kept pull me to the nearby bench "I'm hungry" he said casually

I rolled my eyes as Percy pushed me to the bench. Percy quickly sat beside me and opened his lunch bag. After I met Percy 4 years ago, we became best friends pretty quickly, we entered the same school and got expelled at the same time too. Mostly, it's Percy who got expelled but because I didn't want to leave him alone and he didn't want to go to school without me, I followed him to his new school. When the book said he's fatal flaw is loyalty, I didn't know that he will be this clingy. Sometimes, I saw monster lurked behind us and scared the crap out of me, but Percy remained ignorant, he still didn't know the truth that, his father is a god, one of the big three. Well, he is the splitting image of Poseidon.

Me? Nah, I had a guess that I'm a demigod because I have immense strength. That's not the only proof, I had ADHD and Dyslexia. But, that only a guess. 

   "Jonah" Percy suddenly called me and his hand gripped my left arm.

I flinched at his grip "What?" I asked a bit annoyed.

"There's something near the school bus" he said again.

I groaned internally, after this he is going to blow up the bus right? I still remembered it, since my sister practically shoved the book on my face when I'm home and insist me to bring it with me when I went back to Texas.

"Just your imagination" I said tried to sound as normal as possible.

It's hard to act normal when a black dog as big as a dump truck, sniffing around the bright yellow school bus, it's hard to miss that thing.

"It's a dog" Percy said again.

I mentally cursed the fate for this "A dog?" I asked, innocently.

"A big one. Like a dump truck" Percy quickly added.

Percy pushed my cheek and force me to see the hound. My eye twitched when I saw it. Please, don't turn around, please, don't turn-Crap! The hound turned around and spotted us, he began to growl, I tried to pretend didn't see it.

"I-I didn't see anything" I said and laughed.

I turned and found Percy already gone. I cursed and jumped from my seat, I whipped my head around to find him. Please, not the-oh,shit! My eyes went wide when I found Percy near the canon and he pointed the canon at the dog.

"Percy, do-"

'BAM' the cannon shot a cannon ball towards the dog, but it's pass through the hound just like that, as if the hound made from thin air. The cannon ball hit the school bus and made it exploded. I ran my hand through my black hair as the hound began to run to the other way. The teachers and students began to gather because of the commotion.

"PERCY JACKSON!" one of the female teacher howled in frustration.

Then she turned to me and I wished the hound is here, because right now I prefer to play fetch with the hound than facing the punishment I'll get, even though I didn't do anything wrong

Jonah Rivers" she bellowed at me.

"BOTH OF YOU. MEET ME AT THE DETENTION ROOM AFTER THIS!"

"Way to go Perce" I mumbled as I followed the teacher.

12 Years old

"Just don't screw anything up again okay?" I crossed my arm while glaring at Percy.

Percy pouted at me "You said it like I did it all the time"

I whacked him on the head "Seriously, Perce? You got kicked out from school almost once a year and you dragged me too, and you said 'You said it like I did it all the time'" I rolled my eyes.

"I didn't knew they want to swim after I release the shark!" Percy defended himself.

I massage my temple "And why you release the shark?"

"They asked me to!" Percy answered.

I sighed loudly. I almost forgot, that he is SON of POSEIDON god of the FREAKING SEA, of course he can hear the fish talking.
