You might think that experiments on kids are just in the movies and books, I mean like who would ever do that am I right? well nope! this is a story about a girl named Harley Hunter and her friends story. They are just one of the few kids that managed to escape the hands of a secret organization called the L.O.P.

The totally romantic book about a bunch of kids who do space things.  It awesome, you should read it, because this is the most romantic book you will read on this site lol.  Also follow my Wattpad account “@mr_writer999” for more totally romantic books.

Next day, the class started as usual, 
Use of signs, expression and basic language were taught,
101 clearly understood the sign, and expression, but language was still hard to comprehend even for him.
Days passed, the daily routine was same,
First wake up, early in the morning, the class would then start, the children were then left alone in the room, so they could play with each other, none of them knew how to speak, they would simply play with the toys given to them, most of them were in groups,
In order to fit in, even 101 was inside a group, it was made up of 3 kids, Number 101, Number 18, Number 71,
All of them were similar in height,
Number 101 had deep-black eyes, and black hair, Number 18 and Number 71 both had white hair, Number 18 had blue gem like eyes, while Number 71 had black abyss like eyes,
Different types of puzzles were given to them, one of them was a wooden box with holes of different shapes, next was wooden blocks with different shapes, by keeping the correct wooden block in the correct hole, the puzzle could be solved,
Three of them tried to solve it, Number 18 was the first to solve it, followed by Number 71, Number 101 did not even try he was simply observing the other two, he noticed every child in here was unlike normal children, their cognitive and comprehensive abilities were unlike normal children, they learnt in an incredible rate,
Number 18, noticed Number 101 had not solved the puzzle yet, thinking he could not solve the puzzle, Number 18 took one of the triangular blocks and inserted it in a triangular hole, while showing it to Number 101, 
Number 101 looked at Number 18, she was smiling, they could not speak, but from her expression he could tell, she was trying to say, "This is how you solve it, you should try it too, it's fun", 
He smiled a little, then solved the puzzle,
Number 71 did not care about others, he simply looked at the puzzles, and solved as much as he could, in most classes he would be the one who would solve the most puzzles.
In the night most kids would simply sleep for around 10 hours, but Number 101 was different, he wanted to learn, but the situation was not favorable for him, if he could read then he would be able to read books, thus be able to obtain information,
But they had not started to teach about writing, he did not have any books or papers, he could only wait,  
He would also not sleep for 10 hours, he would mostly meditate, it was a habit from his previous life, next he would do light exercise, his body was still that of a 6-year-old, he did not push it too much, 
 
The Days Continued,
After a week, most kids started to speak, little by little,
Some could speak light words, some were still struggling,
Speaking with each other's, helped them improve their vocabulary, 
Small groups started to merge, those who could speak most fluently, were the ones who took the lead,
Most groups consisted of around 12-20 people
Except one, it was the group of only three people, consisting of Number 101, Number 18 and Number 71
Number 71 did not interact with others, he minded his own business, he was like the one weird, quiet and lone kid present in most classes
Number 101 was also similar, when other tried to interact with him, he could simply stare at them with his deep black eyes, the empty expression and the black eyes, would simply scare away most kids
Number 18 was mostly interactive, most kids knew her, she was invited by various groups, but she chooses to stay with the two of them
The reason Number 71 choose to stay in this group was mostly because of the quite atmosphere and an unfamiliar yet strange feeling of similarity, Number 101 choose to stay because he did not want to join any sort of big group neither did, he want to stand out, Number 18 choose to stay was because of the uniqueness she felt in them compared to others.

The kids started to introduce themselves, today they were taught about basic greeting and introduction
Their voice was sluggish,
Number 101 choose to stay quiet,
Days passed,
The moment had finally arrived, papers and pen were distributed, they started to teach about letters and how to write,
Different letters were shown, they taught how they were pronounced,
In the end some assignments were given,
He tried to learn as much as he could, he tried to soke in as much information as he could, like a sponge absorbing water,
The kids were taken to a library,
The library was filled with simple story books, and history books, the kids were not allowed to learn history right now,
Only story books were given,
Most kids could not read the contents of the books,
Yet, the books were given so they could slowly start to comprehend the contents while learning in the class,
It was night time,
101 was sitting in his bed, trying to read the book, however it was not easy, even if he had 200 years of memories, his mind right now was still that of a child, he could not instantly understand all of it,
He had to read letter by letter, just reading one line took more than 5 mins,
He shook his head, "This won't do", he said to himself
Using his previous knowledge, he thought for ways to learn language faster,
The best way he could think right now was translation,
He would read the contents in the foreign language, then write it down in his own language,
By using his original language as a comparison for another language, it would increase his comprehension but would also require more effort,
He was not afraid of the effort it required, but if someone else found the pages where he translated the book, it would arouse, suspicion, that was a problem,
His sights then went towards the candle, 
"Hehe"
He found the solution
That day he did not sleep much, he spent nearly half a night translating, yet he could only cover half a page, "No matter it's just the beginning"
Other kid even did not bother looking at the books, as they have just learnt to speak, reading and writing was something they just started to learn,
"Did you guys looked at the books", Number 18 spoke, her voice was now a bit clearer, 
I shook my head denying it,
"Only the first page", Number 71 replied
Number 71 was able to read the first page in the night, while Number 101 only translated half a page, this was simply because translation took much more time than just simply reading.
 
The Days Continued,
 
2 weeks passed, most kids now started reading the books,
Some had just started,
"How many pages did you study till now?", Number 18 asked,
"Around 70 pages", Number 71 replied
"Just started", Number 101 replied
However, Number 101 had finished translating around 1/3 of the book, Number 71 was talented, with ever word he read, his comprehension increased in a rapid rate, but Number 101 progress was even faster as his method was superior and he also had a habit of learning new languages,
In the first day he could only translate half a page, in the second he completed 2 pages, in the third day 5 pages, his progress just increased, and after 2 weeks, he had translated over 100 pages,
Not only that he had also gained various insights,
Insights about this world, 
The books given were simple story books,
But even though they were just short and simple stories various things could be deduced from it,
Like what time period it was? what kind of cultures were present in this world?
Those were simple things but it was a start,
 
Right now, simple tests were being taken,
It measured how much a child had learned till now,
In the test, Number 101 would solve only the problems that gave him average results
In the test, Number 71 and Number 18 both were first and second,
Thus, various problems began to rise,
Some kids struggled with the assignment, so they asked Number 71 for help, but he bluntly refused, some even asked Number 18 but she politely refused, both of them were busy studying on their own,
This caused others to feel inferior to them,
Even in such young age some sort of hierarchy was already established
The feeling of inferiority was slowing giving birth to hatred within them.
But being kids they did not act for now,
They kept asking Number 71 for help but he refused, and Number 71 got irritated and he shouted at them, "Mind your own business you brainless idiots"
Those words had now just decided what kind of life they would life from now on,

Regrets? There is not a single person in this world who can say there is nothing I regret, everyone faces mishaps, sorrows, and tragedies, when one lies on his death bed and looks back on his life, and finds nothing but regrets, what can he do then? Nothing, you can drown in sorrow, you can curse your life, but what will that result in? In the end while we lie on our death bed, all we can do is accept choices we made, and pray that in next life you have enough wisdom to live a life without much regrets. This is a story of a king who died with many regrets, but gets a second chance in life. This time will he be able to live a life any different from before?

"Children, hurry! We have to get ready to leave. We have to be on the farm before night time," Auntie Anita barked. 

After breakfast, we were ordered by Auntie Anita to leave the kitchen clean. It would be our contribution to the upkeep of the temporary evacuation site in the backyard. We drew lots on who would wash the dishes, clean the kitchen and segregate the trash. I groaned when my name was drawn. I hate washing the dishes. Justine asked me If I'd like to swap with him. That was sweet of him but I said no. He was assigned to read a story to the children. In Filipino! Mrs Huang asked him to do it so he was not included in the draw lots. 

While we do our assigned tasks, Gary and some of the household staff assembled a makeshift classroom in a shaded platform just outside the kitchen. He gathered the children. There were 10 of them. He distributed crayons and drawing paper sheets to everyone. He introduced Justine to the kids.

"This is Kuya* Justine. He is our friend from New York. Do you know where New York is?" Gary began the reading session.

"Yes, Kuya Gary! It's in America!" the children answered.

"You're right, very good! Do you want Kuya Justine to read to us a story?" Gary continued.

"Yes, yes! Please!" the children answered excitedly.

Justine sat in the center and cleared his throat. He then practiced his vocal chords by doing different sounds. The children laughed. A little girl confidently tugged at his shirt sleeve. 

"Can I sit on your lap, Kuya?" the girl asked. Justine took the girl and sat her on his lap. Justine's and my eyes locked for a brief moment. 'Can I sit on your lap, too?' He laughed silently.

"Me too, me too!" some of the children said. They rushed to Justine. One put his arms around his neck. Another hooked her arm on his arm. Another one took his hand. Gary disentangled the children's hold on Justine and told them that he would have them instead. The children joyfully agreed. It was evident that the children were familiar with their Kuya Gary. They must have come to the Huang's residence a number of times. 

Justine introduced the book: Ang Pakikipagsapalaran ni Isko sa Pagyanig (The Rat Who Survived an Earthquake)*. It was the story of a young rat that survived an earthquake. It talked about what to do in cases of emergencies in such a way that children are not frightened. 

The children were mesmerized by the story. Justine used different voices to convey different characters. Sometimes he would ask the children to create a sound, like the sound of an earthquake. The children stamped their feet on the ground and pounded the table. They also made sound of panicked people by imitating their parents. The parents who were nearby were flabbergasted by this judging from a number of dropped jaws.  The children also made sounds of blaring ambulances. They also reenacted the 'duck-cover-and-hold' protocol when a shaking occurred. Laughter would ensue after. The children were obviously enjoying the session. The parents were teary-eyed watching their kids interact with Kuya Justine and Kuya Gary. It dawned on me that the goal of this session was to get the kids talk about their ordeal during the earthquake. It was a sort of a psycho-social debriefing through story-telling and drawing. I had read about this method somewhere. This makes the survivors manage their emotions after a terrible event. The Huangs were truly admirable on how they treat their employees.

I was mesmerized too. Justine was a revelation in this session. He sounded funny when he spoke Filipino but sounded like a local would when he read it. And the way he interacted with children was impressive. I was so proud of him. 

"Oi, Nina, we don't have all day. Rinse the plates," Alexis nagged.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah!" I answered, annoyed.

"Why don't you just go and sit on your beloved Justine's lap instead of being useless here?" Victor seconded. I splashed both of them with a little water. They were about to retaliate when Auntie Anita passed by to check on what we were doing. 

A heartwarming applause rewarded Justine. I clapped too. Justine bowed several times to the kids making them clap some more. When the applause settled, Gary instructed the kids to draw whatever come to their minds about the story. The children eagerly sat down and concentrated on creating their masterpiece. 

The 3 cleaning teams were done and  had passed Auntie Anita's standards. We were free to observe the children's drawings. The girl who sat on Justine's lap drew a stick figure of a girl and a taller boy holding hands. There was also a table full of books. I asked her who were the people in her drawing.

"That's Kuya Justine and me. When I grow up, I'm going to marry him so he can read to me a hundred books everyday like these books on the table," the little girl said while pointing on her drawing. 'Awwwww! This girl is quite smart, isn't she?'

"You have to be a very good girl then, okay? You have to listen to your parents, eat vegetables and drink water, hmn?" I encouraged my very young rival, amused. The girl nodded. 

Justine laughed and scooped the girl and raised her in the air. He asked the girl to kiss him on the cheek. The girl gave her a wet kiss. Justine put her back on the ground and adjusted his height so he could talk to her eye to eye.

"Celeste, I'm honored by your proposal but you see I am already taken." Justine took my hand.

The girl named Celeste pouted. She put her hands on her waist and scrutinized me. "Can she read a book too?"

"Of course, that's why I like her. She's Ate* Nina by the way," Justine said, playfully. I wasn't sure but I think Gary stiffened when my name was mentioned. 

"Well, it's okay. I will marry both of you. She can read me books at night." Celeste decided. 

"Awwwww, you just broke my heart, Celeste. Didn't you say you're going to marry me?" Gary said clutching his heart. Celeste went to her and hugged his legs. 

"Don't worry Kuya Gary, I'll marry you first. You can buy all the books I want, okay?" Celeste said, hugging him tighter to console him.

Everyone erupted in laughter. Such a smart cute girl. Her innocence was refreshing. She went back to her drawings. Some of the kids showed their works too. Gary and Justine patiently complimented each one by giving him/her a thumbs-up or a high-five. When the session was finished, they helped the kids post their works around the kitchen. Gary encouraged the kids to say thank you to Justine and the rest of us. We said our goodbyes. 

We were going back to the main house when Celeste ran after us and called Gary.

"Kuya Gary, Kuya Gary! she rushed towards us.

We all stopped to hear what the little girl had to say.

"Is Ate Nina the same girl in your story Finding Nina?" Celeste inquired, curious.

"Ah, you mean Finding Nemo?" Gary answered, a blush starting to cover his face.

"No, not the fish. Finding Nina! The story about a boy finding his lost love." Celeste clarified. "You told us to help the little boy find her. We pretended to go the market, to the forest, to the park, calling her." 

"You would say 'Nina are you here, my love?' and we would answer, 'Sorry, she's not here!' remember?" a little boy joined in.

"No, no, no!!! It's a different Nina. The Nina in the story has red hair and orange shoes, remember? And she's more beautiful." Gary protested, his face crimson.

"I bet the Nina in the story is kinder too," Justine volunteered. Gary threw him a grateful look. 

"Yeah, I think it's a different Nina" the little boy agreed. 

"I'm glad it's a different Nina. The boy will be sad if his Nina is Ate Nina because Kuya Justine found her first." Celeste concluded. 

"No, I don't think so. The boy will still be happy because at least Nina has been found, right?" Gary said, But he said it more like he was talking to himself.

The two young interrogators looked confused but nodded just the same. They were done asking questions. They ran back to their playmates who were already munching on snacks. 

Gary looked like he was wishing for the ground to swallow him. There was an awkward silence. 'Has a secret been revealed?' I didn't know how to take all this. The gang gave me impish smile, suppressing a laugh. I was surprised when Justine approached Gary and patted him on his shoulder. Gary looked at him meaningfully.

"Thanks, bro." Gary said softly. 

"Wow. What-long-hair-you-have, sister!" the girls teased, flipping their hair. I glared at them.

We all trooped back to the house. We can hear Auntie Anita's nagging.

“What about you? Do you like someone?” he mimicked my question.

“Hey, I asked first!” I protested. 

“You first,” he said.

No, you go first!” I countered. 

“Ladies first,” he continued. 

I pinched his arm and gave him a sharp look. He held up his hand  and moved to face me. We laughed. 

“You,” he said. 

“No, you go first!’ I said almost shouting. 

“You,” he repeated. “Nina, I like you.”

So student what did we learn from that story the teacher said so four kids raise there hands and the teacher picked one and said genius boy I choose you so he said this stupid story has nothing to do with our world I remember you saying this story will explain our world now the only mention about our world are the flying books but you forgot that the flying books could talk too plus they decied our future whith some weird ranking once we turn fifteen and they are from the ancient tree that located in the center of the world that Leeroy found oh I believe you call him " poor kid " finaliy stop quoting from kids show that makes you look lame are you done she asked so he answered it is only the beginning so she shouted angrily go to the principal office now and tell him what you did so he went of class saying wow what h then he walked to the 
 so he said Mrs.Sullivan did then Mr.Dechead whispered saying oh god bear me strength after a moment of silence Mrs.Sullivan arrived to the office the so pricipal said go out Laplace while we discuse your punishment so he went out and she start  yelling this boy must be punished and some of this empty talk after a while the principle called Laplace so he come in Then principle Dechead asked him why did you do something like this every weak? So Laplace answered I remember you told me that lying was a bad thing last week I remember what I said so we decided to give you a extra class to make you learn about common human sense while Mrs.Sullivan trying to hold hear laugh Laplace asked what is that so the principle said it is what should you do and say in some social situation plus writing the story of our savior Leeroy one hundred time because of what you did to Mrs.Sullivan.

so he walked home with his big  brother connan after a littil chat he arrived eat dinner with his family after he finished his dinner he went upstairs to his room and start copying.

while he copying his brother walks into the room and said don't forgot to come to the match this Friday Laplace said okay but how come you remind me but not my mother and father? he sighs and walks off.

next day he walks to the school with his brother so connan notice that his bag is puffed and said give me fifty of this you must be tired of carrying this bag with hundred copy of the story so he hand fifty over to his brother and said I should depend on rely on others sometimes especially if they were smart and smart like you big brother connan smiles slightly.

Seeing the 6 kids running around happily reminded him when he just started adopting kids on his previous life...

Such a cramp house... but the memories in there are unmatchable... then they grow, and he founded an orphanage... and ironically in this life... he got adopted...

They got into the dining table and set up the food... Vincent help Marie setting up, and he then proceeded to scoop soups and distributed them towards the 6 kids and Marie too...

They eat and of course before they eat... Marie and the kids pray to the Gods, walls, king, etc...

They laughed... they had a great fun teasing each other... and after the food... it was time to clean the plates...

The kids helped from cleaning the plates and... no plates have been harmed...

Vincent then proceed to tell a story... and Marie started to listen too...

It was a story about a young boy... living with his family of 9 with his grandpa, 5 little brothers, 1 little and 1 big sister...

They lived happily ever after...

The End~

After finishing telling the story... Vincent look towards the already sleepy kids...

Marie then look towards Vincent and said...

"It was us right..."

"What?"

"You're story... it was about us and Grandpa Neil, right?"

"Yeah"

"Thank you... for being here with us Vincent..."

"No! No! If is not for you Marie, we will be starved to death by now..."

"Hmm. I'm working because all of you... I just wanted to have a peaceful life with the kids... and with you also..."

"Yeah! Sister Marie..."

"Wait! It's like you're going far away... such a cliché thing you saying you... you're just going to just accompany the kids as they sleep."

"Hehe! I'm just happy!"

Then... like a huge hammer that hit the ground... an explosion took place outside the walls...

As a giant "Titan" peek inside the wall Shiganshina District...

Debris and huge form of rocks flew around near the walls or gate of the Shiganshina District...

People have been crush by the impact, crush by the rocks that been flying all around the Shiganshina District...

People panicked at this sight as someone shouted...

"Come one guys, you have to put the books back in their proper places!" Parker struggles to handle the delinquents.

"Oh come on girl." Said a delinquent, "We just want to have fun with you, what's so wrong about that?"

"That kind of fun, that's wrong." Esther walks forward, putting Parker behind her, "The library is a place for reading and gaining knowledge. Go flirt someone and somewhere miles away from here."

The delinquent smiles and goes closer as well, "Oh I'm sorry, are you jealous? Don't worry, there's plenty of attention for the both of you."

"Gross. Put the books back where they belong, or else."

"You think I'm scared of you?"

Both of them looked at each other's eyes until the delinquent turns around with a terrified look and said, "Come on guys, l-let's get out of h-here."

"Are you just gonna back down because of a girl?" The other delinquent tries to argue.

"Yes. And let's go."

"Are you really that scared?"

"So you're not?"

"I'm not."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, unlike you."

"Alright. Okay." He pulled his friend's arm and pushed his back, "How about you look her in the eyes, and tell me that you're not scared."

His friend saw something in Esther's eyes, full of darkness and death. The delinquent let's go of him, and asks his friends behind him, "Do you guys wanna have a go?"

They shook their head in response, given how much terror she gave to the two of them.

Although the delinquents were about to leave, Esther wasn't finished,

"Wait a minute, you still haven't returned these books to its' shelves."

"Look girl, we don't know where we got them. Aren't you two librarians? Why don't you put them back where they belong yourselves?"

"Are you that stupid? You don't know where you got them? Did you just come here to give us more work? You better put them back, or none of you will make it out alive."

"...Let me rephrase that, why don't we put the books back ourselves?"

The other delinquents agree in unison and immediately try to put them back to their proper shelves.

Esther looks at Parker, "Are you alright? Who knows what would've happen if I didn't cut in."

"I can handle them myself you know."

"Sure you did." Esther said in a sarcastic tone.

"What's that supposed to mean!?"

"Oh nothing."

Parker pouts and thought, "I knew you were the right person for this job, people like me don't have that 'dark' look like yours, nor that commanding voice. But I just hope that you won't scare away all of the people who wants to go here."

Present day

Esther gives Asher a list of story genres, "Alright Asher when making a story, you need to choose a genre. What's your favorite genre?"

"Fantasy."

Esther crossed out 'fantasy'.

"What else?"

"Action."

Esther crossed out 'action'.

"Let me guess, your other favorite is adventure?"

"Y-yeah..."

Esther crossed out 'adventure'.

"Why did you cross them?" Asher asked.

"If you try to choose a genre, you can choose the ones that aren't crossed out."

"Come on Esther, just let him choose his favorite." Parker interrupts.

"If he picked his favorite genre, then it would be easy for him to write a story."

"Isn't that the point?"

"No. As a teacher, I should give him the hardest task first, and save the easiest for last."

"Hmm... What about Humor?" Asher suggested.

"Alright, let's go with Mystery."

Asher can only smile and thought, "Does she even hear me?"

Esther continues, "The mystery genre is usually about a murder or any other crime that needs to be solved. Sometimes there are many puzzles, situations, or circumstances that include in a mystery based story."

"Like those smart detectives."

"Correct, but the main character or protagonist isn't always a detective. It can be a student, a victim's relative, or just a stranger. And it's always ending with the suspect arrested or killed."

"That's what almost every mystery has. Can I make something different?"

"I've been waiting for you to say that, now it shouldn't only be just a 'mystery' story, it needs other genres too."

"Maybe put some Horror in it?"

"Good idea, putting Romance might be good in a mystery story."

"Uhh... Didn't I say horror?"

"Sorry. To me, Romance is Horror, and Humor is Mystery."

"I have no choice but to respect that."

"The Romance genre is, well... All about... Love. Ugh, I think I might throw up. Anyway, yeah... Love, the one of the most popular genre these days. But even I know the difference between a good romance story and the corny love stories. Who falls in love with a guy who had a thousand girlfriends just because he's good-looking, it's just plain disgusting. Moving on."

Esther noticed that there's no sign of 'anomaly' going on inside the library, much to her relief. She decides to continue her lecture with Asher.

She asks, "Do you know how to make a protagonist?"

"It's not that hard."

"It's not that easy either. What kind of protagonist are you thinking?"

"A normal guy just minding his own business."

"Then he met the other characters, and they warm up to him, trust him, betray him, and they solve the mystery with the mastermind either arrested or killed. Typical mystery story, think of something more original."

"But I need to find inspiration."

"Oh right. The reason you're here in the first place, you may think inspiration only appears on the outside but if you take a closer look. The inspirations you're looking for, are right here after all."

Asher easily understood her, and quickly thought of one, "A girl? Paralyzed from the waist down..."

"Good. What else?"

"She had three exes, a fiance, and a secret boyfriend that no one knew but her."

"You're inserting the romance genre in, I like that."

"She is the heiress of a rich family. But one of her exes was murdered because he attempted to take her back."

"Let me stop you right there, write it all down and I'll read it later. I have more work to do, and it better be long."

"Yes ma'am!" Asher writes down his story while Esther continues her duties.

Parker asks Esther, "How is he doing?"

"He has talent, I'll admit. Though his character design may lack originality."

"Why? Is the protagonist a detective?"

"Worse, a normal person. So many people already started a story with a 'normal person' as their main character. Still, I'll have teach him the conventional before he jumps in to the unorthodox."

"He told me earlier that he was supposed to find inspiration here."

"I told him what real inspiration is. It depends on a person's perspective."

"Hehe, you're really prepared for this stuff."

"Well the thing is, I want him to make a story like the ones I read everyday. The ones that bring attention to me."

"I see. What does he do here in return?"

"He'll be our muscle, meaning he'll carry all those books while we deal with the 'anomaly'."

"Wow... That's some plan you had."

"Yes, while you stay at the computer watching nursery rhymes."

"I'm sixteen! One and six! GOT THAT!?"

"Age doesn't matter, although they'll measure you via height of course."

"Now you're just teasing me! Hmph!" Parker walks out.

Suddenly Esther heard noises from the corner.

She went closer to the noise where she witnesses few kids playing video games, the kids were yelling,

"Up here, no! Not there! Come on!"

"I'm still getting my loot!"

"You want to get killed? Come on it's just a loot!"

Esther asks, "What are you doing?"

"Playing games, what do you think we're doing?" A kid answered.

"Playing games? In a library?"

"Just let us play darn it!"

"Huh? What did you say?"

"I SAID WE'RE--" The kids looked at Esther and ran away crying.

"Kids these days." She said to herself.

She later checks Asher's work, "Done already?"

"I think so."

"Okay, just to be sure I'm going to tell you the parts of the story, you have to listen whether you like it or not."

"Fine by me."

"Very well..."

Your characters are one of the most important in making a story: A rich girl who's paralyzed from the waist down, she always assisted by a maid who treated her as a best friend. She has three exes, and a fiance, but one of her exes was murdered.

Your point of view is third person limited, meaning not all movements of each person is not revealed like in first person, but unlike in third person omniscient.

A setting has two words, "when" and "where" or time and place but it's interesting to make more features when making it: It took place in her mansion, they were celebrating her debut with all the cast complete.

The plot is a mix of unique and usual events, but it depends on what genre. And since this is a Mystery-slash-Romance story, I might as well read it:
The set-up: A rich girl is celebrating her debut in her mansion. Unfortunately, she can't walk so she was assisted by the maid, she saw her as a best friend. The girl had many guests including her three exes, and her fiance, but the one she expected the most is her boyfriend that no one knew except her and the maid. Two of her exes tried to get close to her, but their attempts fail when the maid moved her away from them. She didn't want the girl to be troubled in the day of celebration.

Rising action: The lights went out for a few seconds, then it went back on again. Although she noticed something on the floor, near the table, it's a hand but there's something flowing out of it. She ordered her maid to lift up the table sheets, suddenly started screaming that she caught all of their attention. The girl turns around and saw a corpse of her second ex, she looked in terror as her ex died under the table, blood was flowing everywhere, a necklace, a few knives and a plate surrounded the corpse. A man behind the pillars was caught with a knife that has blood on it, she realized that it was her secret boyfriend. She tries to stop and told the crowd that someone was trying to frame him.

Climax: She desperately asks every guest if they were with her ex, she gathers every evidence, learn everyone's alibi but then, her fiance was shot from out of nowhere, her maid went missing, and both of her exes are accusing each other. She thinks it through, the only thing the girl ever heard that made sense is that her dead ex wants her back.

Falling action: The girl gathered all of her guests, and told them what happened. Her dead ex was attempting to talk to her and wants to give her a necklace, but the culprit stops him by turning off the lights, then buys time to kill him, and placed him under the table then the culprit forces her boyfriend to take the murder weapon. Her fiance was shot, at the same time her maid went missing, so she concluded that her maid is the culprit. By chance, they saw the maid attempting to kill the girl's boyfriend but failed.

Resolution: They arrested the maid, but the girl wants to ask why did she kill them. Her answer was they were breaking the girl's heart, hurting her, so she had no choice but to either kill them or ruin them, because she wanted to stop the girl's suffering. The party ended as the girl announced her relationship with the man and decides to continue it even further.

"... The story may not have a complex case, but it'll do. The set-up is the beginning, rising action is the part where the problem appears, climax is the highest point of tension as you solve the problem, falling action is the result of the climax, and the resolution is the end of the story. You managed to create a proper plot, good work."

"Does that mean--"

"Wait. It's true that you made a proper plot... But it's still short, the protagonist suddenly solved the case when it could've been anyone, the murder scene happened too early, the interaction between the characters is lacking, I don't feel the romance which is the only thing I liked and again, not a complex case. I'll give it a 3.8 out of 10 points."

"That's tough, but it's true."

"You got a lot of learning to do. By the way, what's the theme of your story?"

"Too much love will kill you."

"Acceptable. You need to make another story again, but this time... Horror and Humor will be your next genre in your story. I'll explain them later but for now, you have work to do."

Esther shows Asher a bookshelf with mixed books.

"Some people don't know how to put books back in its 'proper' places. So I need you to organize these books alphabetically in each section, if it doesn't belong there just put it on the desk."

"Sure, it shouldn't be that difficult."

"Now if you'll excuse me, I have to help Parker on the counter."

"Wait!"

"What?"

"...Thanks for helping me Esther, my knowledge on story writing will go even further because of you."

"Shh... Be quiet, this is a library." She said gently.

"Sorry."

Esther keeps her poker face but as she turns around, she faintly smiles and whispers, "You're welcome."

"So how did it go?" Parker asks.

Esther checks the books under the counter, "So far, so good. But as expected of a rookie, he has much to learn."

"So he's going to be here in a while."

"Yeah, a really long while."

"Esther..."

"Yes?"

"It's almost lunch break, where are you going to eat?"

"Same place as yesterday, their food is delicious."

"Can I have some of your lunch?"

"What? Again?"

"Yeah... The food you buy is kinda expensive but it's so good, and I forgot to cook at home."

She looks at Parker, "Something tells me you're doing this on purpose."

"I have no regrets."

"Fine. I'll share, but if you intentionally forgot your lunch again. I won't pity your starvation."

"I promise."

Three days ago

Esther just walked out of a shop but runs in to trouble when a large number of delinquents appeared in front of her.

"Boss that's her! That's the witch!" Said the delinquent.

"Her? Are you sure?" The boss asks.

"Yes! She scared the hell out of me!"

"Well why didn't you say so."

The boss smacked the delinquent to the ground, then he asked Esther, "Hey cutie, why don't we have some fun together?"

"No thanks, I'm not in to bears like you."

"I promise I won't bite. I can be gentle if you want."

"You're disgusting, more disgusting than that guy you smacked."

"Listen girl, I just did you a favor. So you must give me something in return, right?"

"Do me a favor? You did that yourself."

"LISTEN UP WOMAN! BE MINE RIGHT NOW, OR I'LL MAKE YOU!"

"What if I refuse?"

"You can't. Get her!"

His goons try to catch her... But in a blink of an eye, Esther knocked them out effortlessly. She disappeared in the boss' eyes until he heard her voice behind him.

She said, "When it comes to guys like you, I compare you to garbage. Disgusting, yet easy to take out."

She kicked him in the face by the heel, and he fell unconscious.

Esther walks away without sustaining any injuries, and she thought to herself, "When can I find a boy who will be perfect for me. I guess that must be impossible since there's no such thing as a 'perfect' boy."

She returns to the library and told everything that happened to Parker.

"Wow, you're pretty good at fighting. I never knew that side of you before." Parker commented.

"It's because you weren't there but then again, it would've been hard fighting while protecting a child."

"WHAT!?"

"Quiet, you're in a library."

Parker pouts and ignores her for a while. Esther on the other hand, is putting up new books on empty shelves.

Present day

Esther and Parker are having a lunch break in a popular café. Parker seems to be enjoying the expensive food Esther shared with her.

"By the way, where's Asher?" Parker asks.

"I don't know. He left after he finished his work, I assume he went back to his place for lunch as well."

"Hey, have you dated someone before."

"No, I'm not planning to."

"Why? All the guys rather seem to be having their eyes on you."

"I thought they were looking at you, you know... Looking down."

"Can you survive a day without making fun of me?"

"Alright, those guys who look at me... Aren't qualified for me. They're only after my looks, that's all."

"What kind of guy do you like anyway?"

"Well-mannered, appreciates me for who I am, definitely not a cheater, and can do household chores."

"Tough requirements, especially that last one. I don't know if there are guys like that."

Esther sips her tea carefully, "That's what I thought to myself as well. If no such person exists, might as well die a virgin."

"What!? Are you serious?" Parker almost choked on a cupcake.

"Yes. Why? Do you want to die a slut?"

"No. I mean, I have my opinion of what boy should I go out with too, but you take it way too seriously."

"I can never be too serious about this."

Then they overheard a conversation,

"Hey have you heard? Asher's in town again."

"What? Really? Yeah, some people saw him this morning, I heard he went to the library!"

"Yeah, I saw him going out without looking scared."

"Haha, not even the librarian's scary eyes can faze that hotness."

"Shush! She's right over there..."

Esther said, "Are they idiots? We already heard it."

"I guess Asher's popular around these parts. Since he's kinda handsome."

"Hmph. I guess..."

They continue to listen some more,

"I heard someone's going to confess to him today."

Surprised enough that Esther and Parker spit out their drinks.

On to the next chapter.

"How to write stories like a real author?"

Before you're good at making stories, you were a beginner like Asher.

Asher Westergard is a teenage boy whose dreams of becoming an author are coming to life, but he struggles to write a story that can be enjoyed by readers.

By chance he met Esther Violette, the acting librarian (Warning: Do not mess with her) who gladly helped him and became his teacher.

"Will he be able to fullfil his dreams?"

"If you don't shut up I'll sew that mouth of yours, even if it means breaking the fourth wall." Esther's voice was heard.

"He's just telling the description." Asher's voice as well.

Years passed. No one knew where Katrina and the children were. She put a spell on them to make sure no one could track them down. She didn't want her sister to find her and kill her and and her children.
Present day Katrina was picking apples from the trees. She was humming. "La la la la la la" she was wearing a light brown dress with a apron in the front. Her warm black hair was in a bun. Suddenly Riley, Willow and Misty ran passed her. "Hey you guys be careful" she laughed at the giggling children. She laid the basket of apples down and looked in the other basket. "Look how cute you are my cutie" Connor sat in the basket. He was a chubby toddler. She smiled at him. "You would be proud Leon." she kissed his forehead and looked around for the children. "Kids time to go!" She picked Connor up and put him in the papoose. The children didn't show up. She looked around to try to spot them. "Riley! Willow! Misty! This isn't a game. Come out now!" she grew worried. She had a bad feeling in her stomach. She knew something was wrong. She began walking toward the way she remember they went.
She saw broken sticks. She looked closer. There was a boot print. Her eyes widen. Someone was in the woods with her. With the kids. She suddenly heard a scream. It was Willows scream. She ran towards the scream. She came to Willow bleeding. Katrina ran to her. "Oh my god." Katrina held Willow. "Don't worry. You'll be okay." she noticed her cut wasn't deep. She knew someone cut her on purpose to draw her to Willow. Katrina picked Willow up and set her next to a tree. "Sweetly I need to know where this person is. Okay?" Willow cried more and more. "Come on honey. You have to help me so I can make sure you and the others are okay." Willow swallowed hard and pointed. Katrina followed where she pointed to. It was a cave in the far distant. "Okay" Katrina looked at Willow. "Okay i'm going to go in there. You stay here. Alright." she kissed Willows forehead. "Don't worry you'll be fine." She stood and put Connor next to Willow. "Just put pressure on your wound and yell if anything happens. Trust me ill be here in a flash." Willow nodded and did as Kat instructed.
Kat pulled out a bag of salt. She poured it around Willow and Connor. She cast a spell. "Pure salt protect this spot and all who reside here. Keep out those who seek to harm, protect us. from negativity, anger, and fear" After doing that she began to walk to the cave. Whoever did this will pay for hurting a pure child. She walked into the cave. It was dark and slippery. She saw light from a distant. She slowly walked towards it. When she got to it she hid behind the corner. She looked around to where the light is coming from. Her mouth dropped to see Riley and Misty tied up. They weren't hurt but asleep. She looked around the room. She saw a woman. The woman had long deep red hair. Her skin was a light green. She was at a altar. Something about the woman seemed familiar to Kat. But she shrugged it off. No matter what this woman hurt her babies and now has to pay.
"You know hiding isn't working with me. I can hear your heart beating in your chest." the woman turned to Kat.
Kat stood and looked at the woman. "How dare you speak to me. You have no right. You wicked witch." Kat walked in front of the woman but no too close. "Witches like you deserve to burn at the stake." Kat knew the harsh words would get to the woman. Because the woman was getting a little more angry.
"Listen if you want the little bastards than take them" with a wave of the woman's hand the kids were free.
Kat grabbed both children before they hit the ground. She laid them softly on the ground. She turned to the woman. "How dare you touch my babies." she clutched her fists.
The woman rolled her eyes and turned back to her altar and started to read her books.
"Aren't you listening to me? Those children are innocent. Why would you do such a thing to them?" Kat grew mad.
The woman laughed. "Oh honey I don't care if they killed a million people. I don't like it when people come on to my property and mess with my things." the woman turned to face Kat. "Now if you don't mind I want to get back to my books. Now leave" she waved her hand and it made Kat and the kids fly out of the cave and out into the woods.
Kat stood when she was outside. She looked around and saw Riley and Misty start to wake up. She helped both of them up and walked back to Willow. "Now lets all go home before a witch fight breaks out." She laughs but as she walks back home she looks to the cave. She wanted to know why that witch was rude and mean to the poor children. She shook her head and continued home.
All the kids sat at the table. It was now noon. Kat was at the stove finishing some food. "Okay I know you guys don't like it as much but still you need the energy." She turned the stove off and sets the pot down. The kids all looked at the food. It was potatoes and water.
"Eww" both the girls say sticking their tongues out.
"Oh come on. Its not that bad." Riley said grabbing some potatoes and pouring some water with it.
"Says you." Willow says grabbing some water and potatoes as well.
"Yeah. It looks disgusting." Misty groans as she grabs some next.
Kat smiles at all of them. "Well if you don't like it I can always give you back to that cave witch and let her feed you. But who knows. She may make you fat and feed you to her werewolves." Kat laughs as the children scream. "Okay okay. Now eat up or Ill do that." she giggles a little making Connor laugh. "Oh does Connor like that idea?" he smiles big.
All the kids get done eating and go to their room. "Okay. Now what story do you guys want to hear this time?" Kat said walking into the room putting Connor in his bed. The kids all get in their beds and think. "I want the one about the forbidden love" Willows says as she day dreams.
"No! The one about the guy that kills the dragons and saves the princess." Misty throws her pillow at Willow.
"Honestly I don't care." Riley starts to read a book. "I have my own stories to read about"
Kat picks up Misty's pillow and hands it back to her. "Okay how about a new story then?" She sits on the edge of the bed.
All the kids shake their heads. "I can deal with a new story I guess." Riley puts his book up.
"Okay." Kat thinks for a moment. "The story is about a young princess who falls in love with a pirate." She looks at the kids for approval. They all nod their heads. "Okay the story goes...."
