The Black Dragon indifferently glanced at Chen Changsheng, showing no emotion, or perhaps showing just one emotion. However, just like the Dragon language it spoke, this extremely simple stance contained all sorts of complex information. Chen Changsheng's and the Black Dragon's eyes met only for an instant, yet he felt like he saw countless stars and received many of the meanings that it wanted to convey.

The abandoned well had been constructed under the personal supervision of Wang Zhice and was the gate of life for the array that imprisoned the Black Dragon, similar to how the Black Dragon Pond in the abandoned garden served as the gate of life for the Tong Palace. There had originally been three interweaving nets constructed of metal alloy at the bottom of the well that ensured both that the gate of life for the array would remain open and also that none of the capital's people would accidentally fall into the well and become the Black Dragon's food. However, not long ago—Chen Changsheng could not tell how long this 'not long ago' was, several decades or several days—someone from the Imperial Palace had come and removed those three metal alloy nets.

The Black Dragon had required only an indifferent glance to transmit all sorts of information into Chen Changsheng's mind. He understood much, but there was still much more that he did not have the time to organize and understand. However, he understood the final idea that the Black Dragon wished to express: humans are truly boring.

Chen Changsheng was not very willing to accept that an existence that had been imprisoned for several centuries and lived a cold and lonely life unable to communicate with anyone would actually think that humans were boring. He thought, if you weren't so excessively bored, why were you unwilling to let me leave on that night and instead insisted on having me promise to accompany you in chatting? And also, why has that person taken away the three alloy nets? Were they not worried about people falling in?

He shifted his gaze to those two chains behind the Black Dragon that extended off towards that wall in the distance. He looked at those portraits of the two Divine Generals which seemed as tall as mountains drawn on the wall and felt very puzzled.

He had never thought about helping the Black Dragon escape. On one hand, he did not know how much was true and false about those legends, so he did not know what would happen if the Black Dragon were to leave this underground cavern, whether or not it would wreak some devastating calamity on the people of the capital. More importantly, this array that imprisoned the Black Dragon had been laid down by Wang Zhice and other peerless experts of Taizong's era. He wanted to break this array with his current ability? The mere thought of it was absurd.

Suddenly, he thought of something. Since the Black Dragon could understand human language and he could gain information directly through its eyes, there should be no problem communicating with the Black Dragon. Now that he thought about it, that was as it should be. Cultivators at the Star Condensation Realm and up could communicate with each other very quickly using their thoughts, so why couldn't a divine being like the Black Frost Dragon?

Chen Changsheng turned to the Black Dragon's eyes, wanting to say something to it. Unexpectedly, the Black Dragon seemed to know what he wanted to do and closed its eyes with unimaginable speed, causing frost to splash everywhere. The Black Dragon's whisker drifted upwards towards him, then poked him on his brow, waking him from his daze.

This action indicated that it was somewhat losing its patience.

Just what did the cultivation of a human youth have to do with it? It was only concerned with how it could have him grasp the Dragon language as quickly as possible and then have him do a few things for it.

Chen Changsheng helplessly shook his head, his heart feeling rather bitter. Back in Xining Village, when he was reading the Daoist scriptures and feeling fear over the arrogance and ruthlessness of the dragons recorded in the Daoist Canon, how could he have imagined that he would actually meet a real dragon, and it was also one that liked to lecture others?

A while passed.

"Owww…"

Chen Changsheng let loose something similar to a low snarl, but it sounded more like the wind, and it was absolutely not any sort of normal sound. This sound was very simple and also complex, using many very fine muscle groups in the throat, and it even required the fine tuning of some meridians that the human mind had no conscious control over, yet it did not require the use of the tongue.

This was the first word the Black Dragon had taught to him on that first night. When he was young, he had learned a similar sound in the old temple of Xining Village, so he quickly had a handle on it, and he had also not forgotten how to speak it. This word had a very complex meaning, encompassing at least a dozen meanings in human language. The most complex of these meanings would require a significant period of time to describe, while the simplest was just 'I'.

The Black Dragon was extremely pleased at Chen Changsheng's performance, its whisker drifting about in pride at its ability to teach others. For some reason, two Night Pearls dropped down from the ceiling and rolled around in its front claw. If the Night Pearls were a little bigger or its claw a little smaller, perhaps it would seem like a teacher of some private school in the countryside.

The Black Dragon slightly rolled its eyes towards that Night Pearl by Chen Changsheng's side.

Chen Changsheng clearly remembered that on that night, this greedy Black Dragon had attempted to seize his Night Pearl, so quickly put it away.

The Black Dragon's whisker gently drifted down as if feeling rather helpless, then the Black Dragon let out another noise.

This was the second word it was teaching to Chen Changsheng.

Night Pearls, colored glass, rainbows, the golden scales on the surface of a lake, the blazing clouds at sunset, or perhaps…light.

Chen Changsheng awkwardly laughed, rubbed his brow to focus himself, and then began his attempts to imitate the Black Dragon's pronunciation. To humans, Dragon language was truly too difficult to grasp. Even the rather experienced him felt this way. Moreover, this process consumed a great deal of mental power, so his face was visibly paling.

The most crucial factor was still time. The Grand Examination was close and he still had not resolved his problem of Purification, so the risk of death was right before him. To Chen Changsheng, time was the most precious object in the world. Logically speaking, he should not have been wasting his time learning Dragon language. It must be known that it was even more meaningless than learning dragon-slaying arts.

But he did not refuse the Black Dragon's request, nor did he leave. He continued to attentively learn. He loved to learn, and also, he had promised. He would deal with his own matters, and what he promised he would do until the day he died. This was a habit he had picked up when he was young. It might not have been a good habit, but it was a very formidable one.

Although this underground cavern cut off from the world was illuminated by thousands of Night Pearls, it was still cold, lonely, and unbelievably vast.

On the ground, Chen Changsheng was just like an ant before the massive Black Dragon.

He was like an infant just beginning to learn how to speak.

Occasionally, a very strange sound would resound through the vast cavern: he had mispronounced a word.

Then, the 'zhizhi' laughs of the Black Dragon would echo without end.

At the beginning of time, a mystical meteor came crashing down from outer space and scattered all over the world. A piece of it landed in the Eastern Continent, with mysterious totems carved upon it. Through the observation of these totems, humankind comprehended the Dao and established the Orthodoxy.

Several thousand years later, the fourteen years old orphan Chen Changsheng left his master to cure his illness and change his fate. He brought a piece of marriage vow with him to the capital, thus began the journey of a rising hero.

The cafeteria was a massive hall filled with tables and chairs. Large tables were in the middle while smaller two-man tables were to the side. 

Sitting in one of the corners was a young boy with short messy black hair. His amber eyes held an air of confidence. Sitting directly in front of him was a beautiful girl wearing an indigo dress with a silver lining. A soft silver-white butterfly ribbon decorated her mid-night black hair. 

Her poppy green eyes were bouncing all around the place except towards the boy sitting in front of her. Her cheeks occasionally turned red as some naughty thought passed through her mind. 

"You know, Mei…" ("Holy shit! He called me by my first name! That means-! No wait! Didn't he always do that? But he never called me just 'Mei'!!!") "Mei-? Meiying…?" "Ah, yes. Sorry." She replied a bit flustered. 

"You know, the food won't just miraculously teleport into your stomach if you keep staring at it." 

"Ah… yes- yes." She hurriedly picked up the chopsticks as she tried to eat. 

*sigh…* "Listen, Mei, look at me." The boy spoke. "Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Calm down a bit. You would probably choke on the food at this rate." Mei looked at him for a second before doing as instructed. Opening her eyes, she squeaked out a small thankyou. 

"So, tell me about yourself. How was the first day? Did you like the teachers?"

"I- I… it was nice. The mathematics teacher seemed nice. I was a bit scared when she first entered the class but she was actually a nice person."

"Heh- I know exactly what you mean. I still cannot understand how she managed to squeeze through that tiny door."

"Pft... You didn't see it?!"

"What?"

"She first entered like this" Meiying lifted up her spoon as she used it to show the scene. "She literally rotated full 360 degrees before slipping in! It was magical I tell you." The two of them chucked before continuing on other mundane topics. 

Soon they finished their lunch and Jin informed her that he is heading to the library to do some self-study. Thus, they separated. As he was about to exit, he noticed her start talking to other girls who were hiding around on the tables nearby. Things soon escalated into a full-blown gossip about how she managed to snag a handsome guy on the first day of the school, and for it to be one of the 4 princes!

Thousands of books were dressed onto numerous bookshelves both high and low. Wooden walls were punched in, to create shelves for books. It was a rather impressive library. However, it was mostly empty. Very few people were walking around the place and fewer still were sitting and reading on the tables around. It was the first day of the school, who in their right mind would spend time reading…

The winding corridors of the library were very poorly marked. Some sections did not even have a single sign while others looked like dustbins. Scraps of scrolls and dusty books were smothered together into large shelves. 

Flipping through a few books, I realized what was wrong. Books that are written in the local language were up in the front and held about 1/3rd of the shelves while everything else was just randomly punched in to fill up the vacant space. 

*sigh…* Everything was a mess...

It wasn't until I accidentally picked up a few books on inscriptions that I finally grasped the full extent of my powers. The thing is Universal Translation does not only allow me to speak, read, write, listen and comprehend any language in the world, but it also allows me to speak, read, write, listen and comprehend "ANY" language in the world. 

I stood there gawking at the inscription pattern as the symbols and meanings of the thing filtered into my brain as nothing more than a computer code! 

I could not help but curse myself for being so stupid as to not recognize such a simple thing. 

Flipping excitedly through the pages, I started looking through everything around. I must have gone through a dozen different variations of coding languages and patterns. 

I soon realized that I can only work on languages that I have actually encountered in the world. For example, let's say I live in a small village in America and I have no idea how to speak Japanese. Even with my ability, I would still have no idea how to do so until I actually encountered a book that had Japanese written in it. After that, I would miraculously have all the knowledge of this language. 

Giggling to myself like a retard, I walked back to the counter and actually started going over the basics of soul force, meridians, and other such concepts. It was time to start my journey to the top…

Claire arrived earlier than expected at the store, allowing both Rei and Jin to reconvene once again in the conference room instance. Rei handed Claire the documents to take a look at Studio Mashi's expenditure records, and she was quite shocked at what she was looking at.
"Isn't this one of the few more popular animation studios in Japan? Are they really in such a dire state?" Claire asked. Both men were surprised that Grandma Yuan's secretary knew a thing or two about the studio. The serious women certainly did not seem the type to watch anime.
"Let's say that their previous CEO was not really the cleanest person in the studio. He had been embezzling a large portion of money before he ran away. Not many know about the situation since they've done their best to cover it up. I happen to have a connection there, and he begged me to help the studio. They've been struggling ever since, and the movie I am making is currently the only project they are working on and is somewhat their only lifeline."
"So you're expanding into movies now, Jin? That is a very risky move to play, even more so considering that this one's an overseas studio." Claire warned as she took some time to study the numbers after taking a brief. Unsurprisingly, Claire confirmed that the studio was bound to fail without a LOT of additional budget coming in.
"I am not too sure about the Japanese laws with regards to overseas investment, but saving this studio is nigh impossible. Even if you inject in extra cash, it's less than certain that you will break even. You can forget about seeing any profit from it unless the upcoming movie that Rei is mentioning will become a multimillion dollar hit. And I'm talking USD, not yuan or yen. It is very highly likely that you will experience a loss." Claire concluded.
"What about if I hypothetically create a movie studio and hire those peeps instead?" Jin asked
Claire shrugged at that particular idea but humoured him nonetheless: "I still can't see you incur anything but losses. Nevertheless, that way you won't have to worry that they waste the money and you will have control over the studio. Whatever the case, it's not your responsibility to save any random Tom, Dick and erm in this case, Sato-san from their dying business. If you plan on doing that, I can only conclude that Grandma Yuan had misplaced her faith in you as someone unfit to make sound business decisions."
Rei felt devastated by the sound of her analysis.
"Rei, are you able to get Studio Mashi to send over the incomplete work? Maybe we can still finish from there and publish it ourselves?" Jin suggested yet the manga artist wasn't on board.
"I am choosing Studio Mashi because of their prestige in details and plot as well as their dedication to complete the project. I am not going to hand it over it to some Tom, Dick and in this case, Xiao Ming to complete their work." Rei was fully adamant on it.
"Then my advice to you, Jin, is to not take this deal. You are walking in a financial death trap because of your friend. Let me repeat that you have no obligation to fulfil his request." Claire did not know the whole situation, but she had been through enough to see that trying to save Studio Mashi would be a big mistake.
Contrary to her appearance, she did watch a few of their movies while younger and loved their characters. She would definitely be sad to know that the studio might have to close down due to bad internal office politics. However, that did not mean she would allow Jin to make a wrong business decision to save it.
"Unfortunately, I do owe him an obligation to save the studio, and that is why I also need your help." Jin became extremely shameless when asking for Claire's help.
"Why should I? I have enough on my plate as is. My only helping you are limited to things connected to Grandma Yuan. This does not extend to helping you solve the problems of your friends." Claire replied until Jin dangled his trump card in front of her.
"In return, I can let you learn more about the System. Perhaps it can enhance your skills and traits too." Jin said out loud, and Claire was dumbfounded. How could he offer something like that so casually to an outsider?
"Watch your words. I have no idea what you are talking about." Claire pretended not to hear it until Jin had clarified the white elephant in the room.
"He is already under the influence of the System, and to be honest, he isn't a friend. More of a colleague." Jin did not say much, especially when 'controlling' isn't the best of words to convince someone to join them.
"What? But judging from the conversation we had, he seemed to be in a different profession from you. Movie directing? Some animation artist?" Claire was getting frustrated that someone that simple was able to be exposed to the System. Why not her?
"I am a Manga Artist, and I actually hailed from another world. You know like those transmigration fantasies?" Rei decided to speak the truth out and instead, incurred the opposite effect. Claire could not make any sense from this. Was this just some sort of out of season April Fool's joke or was this after all an elaborate plot to get her to join Jin?
"Look. Things are really that simple. He's truly from another world and simply a typical engineer from his original world. Not some magic wielding super crazy powerful cultivator or that sort."
"... Fine. Show me his creations, and I'll believe you." Claire folded her arms, wanting some proof. "You claimed that you owe him an obligation, which indicates that he must have already created something for you in return." Claire's demand made Jin slightly cautious.
"You see, if we show you his works, it will expose even more things about this particular System I have. Until you give me your word and sign a temporary contract, I am not allowed to give you any more information." Jin tried to explain kindly as he had vastly underestimated Claire's reaction.
The secretary sighed as she picked up the just materialised temporary contract and read the terms briefly. She quickly realised that there were many underlying meanings to the contract's term.
"I see this contract has been vetted by a well versed lawyer. There's a lot of double meanings in the terms despite its outward simplicity." Even if that was the case, she was innately and insanely curious about this particular System that Jin was hiding.
Grandma Yuan had always kept a mysterious façade whenever this topic was breached, and it always made Claire feel left out when Yuan and Jin talked about it. She desired to know what made the System so special that it could have enabled a boy with seemingly normal qualifications to become so outstanding in a mere matter of months.
"Fine, I will sign but only on the condition that you limit this to today. If you presumably can really brainwash me, then I will accept the specified consequences." Claire demanded, so Jin overwrote the time limit on the contract limiting it to midnight of January 1st. Upon signing, Claire felt that something entered past her entire body as if something took a long look into her soul.

Summer has come.

Season on where most children of school will go on their holidays, no, actually it is not limited to children but most people who live in the Japanese social world.

One way for someone to go through the summer is to go back to their hometown or even go on vacation to a small town to find peace.

But for a 21-year-old boy who was downing a bottle of Ramune (a Japanese drink) in front of a traditional Japanese candy store, that kind of vacation was almost non-existent because he was here for other reasons.

"Ahhh, the pickup is still long..."

He muttered softly, but the language he used was not Japanese, for a moment he used his own language, aka the language of his native country, namely Indonesian.

Then the scenery is directed to the right and left side of the place where he stands.

Left side, rice fields.

Right side, rice fields.

As far as the eye can see there is only rice fields here.

"Hey, how come there are only rice fields..."

Once again he muttered to himself using his native language.

He hopes a little more than the scenery in front of him because the place he will visit is Japan, so what has already arisen in his expectations is an urban area with towering buildings, although it might not be a crowded area but that is what has become hope.

Besides that he was greeted with the hot sun and how humid the air was, he never thought that the surprise he would get was not only from the realization of this city called Asahigaoka, he also got it from the air that was attacking him.

True, for 3 months he will live in Asahigaoka and will do the Practical Work to find out how people from Ashigaoka live their lives, things that look simple and indeed will be easy for this young man to do without taking much time.

Finally, at one time he spent Ramune who was on the verge of his lips, he immediately threw away the bottle of Ramune that had run out to the nearest trash can and he then looked around once more.

He did not see anything interesting other than rice fields and the mountains, he had the mind to take a short walk to look around but he realized that if he did something like that then it would only create trouble for the people who would pick him up.

'Better I buy sweets or something.'

After making such a decision, the young man decided to stand up from his seat, he who stood up and walked in two steps immediately stopped when he felt something was bumping into his leg.

Luckily he had walked by dragging his feet so that the collision that would have occurred would not have caused damage if he had just hit an item.

But what he hit was not an item.

But a child.

A child who, when viewed from his height, is unlikely to feel that people will draw conclusions that this small child is an elementary school student or even a kindergarten.

In Ondra's heart wondered, but of course there was no one or anything that could provide an answer to his question.

The dragons who saw the girls only stared but didn't try to initiate as anyone from other races that came to this realm are powerful powerhouse so no one dared to start.

Ye Han could harmonize with his fellow dragons, as he asked the best place for sightseeing in this realm. As expected it was the Private Wine Bath that is located near the center of the realm, rumor stated that this bath can prevent aging of the skin which is good for the girls. It also a good thing for Ye Han and Ada as they turn on the love music, Ye Han bought his fellow dragons a beer barrel as he waive good bye and went to find his family. He saw them on a giant shopping spree of clothes and jewelry, he was speechless as he saw a giant floating bubble carrying their items. Ye Han went them and asked 

"Looks like the items in this realm is good? What did you guys buy?"
"Papa, we bought a lot things such as Dragon's Wine, Cookie Tree, Dwarf's Hammer and other good stuff!" -Lili
"*nodding* We also bought clothes and jewelry that was made from dragon's peeled scale and pure quality jewels" -Ais

The two grown up dragons went to their way to the arena where a lot of dragon settle their problems, Ye Han was only interested in the proposal part and not the arena as he is a bit mentally tired on fighting. He wants to watch the drama and what would be the result of the proposal, he was intrigue as he paid for all the things his girls bought. He sighed as he spawned in more dragon gold coins, the sales lady even gave him a wink as her blushing face stares at him while he bought more items.

Ye Han could only cough as they moved on to the next shop, he didn't even know his scent was very  attracting to female dragons who haven't gotten a mate. This would lead to some incident that would happen soon, Ada felt a hunch that she would be fighting soon so she put her guards up which made the girls tilt their head as they felt Ada's serious expression. They ended up staying in the Inn opened by the owner of the private bath house, it was a gigantic inn which look like a japanese inn. Ye Han thought that they should bath in the wine bath tonight as there would be a wonderful night sky view.

When someone is extremely skilled at a particular Kido, the incantation is unnecessary, but using it increases the Kido's power.
Shikai – "First Release"; Every Zanpukto has an initial release, Shikai, which is gained through a Shinigami learning the Zanpukto's name, and release phrase. For instance, Kuchiki Rukia's Shikai release is "Dance, Sode no Shiraiyuki!" In Shikai form, many Zanpuktos change form, and gain special abilities. Rukia's Shikai gives her "dances" which release ice-type attacks.
Bankai – "Great Release"; Every Zanpukto has a second release, Bankai. Bankai is achieved in stages. The first stage is manifestation of the Zanpukto spirit in the physical world. The second stage is passing the spirit's test. It is said that while Shikai involves working with the spirit, Bankai means dominion over the spirit, and gaining its full power. Often, a Shinigami's outfit will change to symbolize this in Bankai mode. For instance, when Kurosaki Ichigo uses Bankai, his Shinigami robes transform into Zangetsu's clothes. Also, Bankai is said to be easily ten times more powerful than Shikai.
Gigai – False body, used by Shinigami to pose as regular humans for missions in the human world.
Hollow – A dead soul that has degenerated, turning into a monster. In the process, it loses its heart, and instead has a hole somewhere on its body, typically its chest, though it is known to have appeared elsewhere. It also has a mask, used to disguise itself from the world. The mask is a Hollow's weak point.
Menos – Based in Spanish, meaning "Minus" – a reference to souls that have not degenerated, known as "Plus" souls – After a Hollow has eaten enough souls, it undergoes a transformation into a Menos. There are three different classes. Gillian is the weakest, but one is as tall as a skyscraper. Most Gillians have no sense of individuality. Gillians tend to eat each other. Once a Gillian that has retained its individuality has eaten enough of its own kind, it evolves into an Adjuchas. Once there, the Adjuchas must continue to eat other Hollows in order to maintain its form, else risk becoming a Gillian once more and never returning to Adjuchas level. After eating enough, an Adjuchas may evolve into the final class, a Vasto Lorde, the most powerful form of Hollow without undergoing the process of becoming an Arrancar. 10 Vasto Lorde working together are said to be able to destroy all of Soul Society, though thankfully they are rather reclusive.
Arrancar – Based in Spanish, meaning "To Tear"; A specialized form of Hollow that has taken off its mask and gained Shinigami-like powers. They too have a Zanpukto, which seals away the majority of their Hollow powers. In the process, the Arrancar now takes a human form.
Resurreccion – Based in Spanish, meaning "Resurrection"; the process by which an Arrancar activates its Zanpukto, similarly to Shikai. In Resurreccion, the Arrancar releases its power and regains the abilities he or she had as a normal Hollow.
Hueco Mundo – Based in Spanish, meaning "Empty/Hollow World"; the alternate world that Hollows live in. Fitting, as it is mostly composed of sand and Hollows.
Quincy – A specialized type of humans, who have developed a way to fight back against Hollows. Their primary weapon is the bow and arrow, each made of spiritual energy gathered from one's surroundings. Quincy hate Shinigami for killing off most of them in a war. The reason behind this war is due to the fact that when Quincy kill Hollows they are not purified and sent on to begin the cycle of reincarnation, but actually completely destroyed, never to return to the cycle. The Shinigami worried that the balance would be thrown off, and began the war.
Vizard – A Shinigami who has acquired Hollow-like powers. These powers are activated by putting the mask of their Hollow self on. In their mindscape, where the manifestation of a Shinigami's Zanpukto is, a Vizard has an Inner Hollow, which takes on the appearance of the Vizard, with the colors reversed and in black and white. The mask itself is weak and easily destroyed, despite the enormous power it gives the user. When it is destroyed, the Vizard is greatly weakened and must resort to Shinigami powers until capable of re-summoning the mask.
Gotei 13 – The 13 imperial squads of Shinigami. Each squad has its own specialty. For instance, Squad 11 specializes in Zanjutsu, the use of one's Zanpukto in sword-fighting. They look down on those who specialize in Kido. Squad 4 specializes in Healing Kido, but as there is little call for them outside of war, they are the go-to squad for general chores. However, there is one little-known squad: Squad Zero, unknown to anyone outside the Captain ranks, are made up entirely of people Captains who have grown even stronger. Their duty is to protect the King of Soul Society.
