[Game of the Gods || One]

Queen Alexandria Fuentes finds herself in the middle of chaos caused by a document that can destroy her family's name. They stole the document from the President's archive but later on found out that it was only a fragment of the whole document.

It obviously isn't an easy matter to move optical cables, each of which are 800 nautical miles long, into a cave among the reefs. That was why Chen Fan had decided to move them in sections.
The distance to the reefs was about 500 nautical miles. The electrical eel first drug one end of an optical cable, working hard to move it, towards the reefs. Once the weight of the optical cable had reached a certain limit and could no longer be dragged, the electrical eel would then drag the other end, before then switching again to the middle part. In this way, the optical cable could be slowly dragged towards the reefs.
By the time the two broken heads of the optical cables had been dragged into the big cave among the reefs, it was already almost midnight. After washing up, Chen Fan laid in his bed, making up his mind to get some equipment to connect to the satellite internet device when he awoke the next day.
Naturally, satellite internet devices could not be bought within the country, because each network card has a unique twelve digit hexadecimal network address that was designated by the network card manufacturer, during the manufacturing process. These network addresses could be used to control the host's data communication on the internet, and the information obtained could then be used to pinpoint the target's location.
This is why Chen Fan was prepared to buy it from Japan, since Japan was only a few hundred nautical miles away from Zhong Yun. Such a relatively small distance would mean that a two-way trip by the electric eel would only take around half a day.
Also, obtaining japanese yen was not an issue, as he only needed to go to an illegal money changer. There were many people who provided this service in Zhong Yun, and it wasn't as if he was exchanging too big of a sum. What was truly troublesome, was that Chen Fan could not speak Japanese! He could not even get a translator's help for this matter.

At 4 a.m. the next morning, by a barren rocky beach in Amakusa City, Kyushu Prefecture, Japan.
The electric eel scanned its surroundings with its pair of water-tank-sized eyes, which could see clearer than any night vision device. After making sure that the surrounding area was safe, it immediately used its claws to lift the submersible onto a reef. Chen Fan, who was hiding within the submersible, sneakily opened the hatch to peek his head out.
The current top-of-the-line night vision devices that were used by the army have an effective observation distance of between 1500 to 2000 meters. The electric eel was far superior to this, having an observation distance of up to 3500 meters.
The sky was still dark, so Chen Fan decided to wait for the sky to brighten up a little before heading to the busy downtown district to purchase the satellite internet device.
Once the clock showed 6 a.m., Chen Fan carefully checked his appearance. Upon confirming that he looked fine, he set foot on an asphalt road, heading towards the downtown district.
The night before, Chen Fan had used Google maps to mark out the walking route. He had even worn a pair of sunglasses, a peaked cap, and a high-collared windbreaker, as the weather here was much colder than in Zhong Yun. Also, his wearing this Shanghai Bund mogul get-up in the monster-infested streets of Japan seemed out of the ordinary, as was his intention.
As predicted, Chen Fan had only walked the streets of this tight-knit city for half an hour, before a long-haired beauty in a black-and-white striped short skirt stopped him. She gave a vigorous bow, greeting him, "Ohaiyo! Ohaiyo!" Her low-cut shirt gave Chen Fan an eyeful of her chest.
She definitely did that on purpose!
Chen Fan swallowed two mouthfuls of saliva.
Dressing like this, and on such a cold day! Wasn't she worried about freezing to death? And. bowing so low… Was she an escort?
However, Chen Fan clearly had misunderstood her intentions. Nobody would do that sort of thing so early in the day. That's only done at night!
After bowing in greeting, the pretty maid gestured an invitation to Chen Fan, beckoning him into what was clearly a breakfast shop.
"Irasshaimase! (Welcome)!"
Chen Fan looked at the pictures of the various foreign snacks on the fiery red glass that decorating the door to the shop. Realizing he was indeed quite hungry, he started salivating all of the sudden. He figured that trying an authentic Japanese breakfast would not be such a bad thing.
His expression was blocked by his wide-brimmed peaked cap, as Chen Fan took out a two thousand yen note. Then, with his leather-glove-covered left hand, he pointed to the glass wall several times at random.
"Hai!" The girl of around 18 immediately bowed excitedly, then ran inside, clutching the banknote.
Dadada… In less than two minutes, the clear sound of footsteps sounded in Chen Fan's ears. 
The breakfast that he had ordered was packed in a pretty, red paper bag. Chen Fan took the bag and motioned for her to keep the change, since it was useless to him anyway.
"Arigato-gozaimasu." As she thanked him, a happy grin blossomed on the girl's cheeks, which had been reddened by the cold. One could barely resist pinching those cheeks!
The bag contained two pieces of dorayaki with red bean paste filling, muyu suckling pig dumplings, three pieces of onion takoyaki and a cup of miso soup. Most of the items weren't bad, but the soup tasted a little weird, as it was all sour, salty, and a little too thick. So, Chen Fan threw it away after only two mouthfuls.
Three hours later, Chen Fan returned to the rocky beach, carrying three boxes in his right hand, each containing a satellite receiver that measured 30cm long, 20cm wide, and 10cm high. In his left hand, he carried two boxes, each of which contained a laptop.
Chen Fan had simply entered an insignificant looking electronic shop at random, before taking several satellite internet devices and laptops off the shelves, all with their price tags on, so that Chen Fan need not play charades in order to find out.
He had soon found that little Japan's electronic goods were much more advanced. The maritime satellite internet devices that were sold in Zhong Yun not only looked ugly, but could only be obtained from carriers or proxy companies.
On the other hand, the ones that were sold in little Japan were about the size of old handphones, having long antennas at the top. Hence, if the wire connecting them to a computer was removed, they could even function as a maritime satellite phone. Varying payment methods were also accepted in little Japan, making it extremely convenient to purchase supplies there.
Chen Fan had already solved the problem of topping up the card. Each device came with a free satellite phone SIM card with 1 USD inside. By communicating with hand gestures, Chen Fan had already managed to top-up 150000 yen into each card, which he figured would last him three years of continuous use.
He left for Japan just past midnight last night, and had not slept since. Exhausted, Chen Fan curled up behind a rock, hugging the paper boxes. He was prepared to wait out the day, then depart at night, for safety reasons.
Awaking the next day, Chen Fan knew that the only problem left now was figuring out how to connect the device to the optical cables. Hence, Chen Fan went to a shop in Zhong Yun that specialized in computer products to get advice. He then instructed a shipyard worker to create a small sealed casing. These kind of international optical cables all contained specialized electrical circuits in order to provide electricity for the repeaters to magnify the signals for retransmission to other countries or to distances too far off.
After running around for two days, he finally connected the signal converters and the power supply wires to the satellite internet devices, then covered them up with a waterproof outer casing. He covered the base of the optical cables with corrosion-proof suspended matter that he had obtained from the shipyard, so that the optical cables wouldn't sink.
International optical cables were unlike household optical cables, which only required two strands of fibers. They contained countless tightly-packed fibers in order to reach maximum efficiency.
However, connecting all the fibers was an exceedingly complicated process that must be done by a professional. Hence, even though it hurt his heart to do so, Chen Fan had no choice but to use the international optical cables, as if they were household optical cables.
Commanding the electric eel, Chen Fan sneakily took out the optical cables and tested them with the laptop that he had bought from Japan. The Internet speed was ordinary, slightly faster than a wireless network card. The thing was, he had no satellite. Otherwise, the speed would be faster than its bandwidth with a satellite TV dish receiver.
Up next, Chen Fan was faced with the task of framing someone else. An 800 nautical mile long optical cable setting out from the undersea cave can cover the entire four countries of South Korea, North Korea, Japan and the Philippines. In fact, when dragged to its longest, it would only be tens of nautical miles away from the border of Russia! No matter which country it was left in, the fun would be incomparable!
After studying the digital map, Chen Fan smiled sinisterly. He then decided to place the optical cables between Japan and Korea.

The waters surrounding the hill were filled with reefs, making fishing impossible. Even small boats that were approaching the hill might be run aground if they were not careful, let alone large military ships. Besides, Chen Fan had also installed an underwater surveillance device under the receiver dish, which would alert him immediately of the approach of any boats.
Sitting in front of his computer, Chen Fan again went on several foreign websites to confirm that there was no problem with the reception. There wasn't, since the maritime satellite internet covered the whole globe, after all!
Upon completion of all the stages, the only thing left to do was to send the information to the French government, charging them an extortionate amount. Using the laptop with handphone reception to surf the web, Chen Fan found several French government websites on Baidu. Among the sites were tourism websites, embassy websites, football association sites and more, but he could not find the military's website.
However, Chen Fan found something even better, which was the French President's website. Naturally, it was doubtful whether the website was actually maintained by the President himself. The President was, after all, busy with affairs of the State, so would most likely delegate such unimportant matters to his subordinates. For instance, the US government employed dozens of employees merely to reply to all the messages that were left on the White House's website.
As Chen Fan perused the net, he discovered that all of the official websites of foreign presidents would have an email address for the public to send feedback to. Just a few clicks of the mouse, and Chen Fan found a series of email addresses.
Using another laptop with handphone reception, Chen Fan opened Yahoo's online Japanese translation site. At the translation box, Chen Fan keyed in a carefully composed paragraph.
Navigating online translation required skill. It was best to use common terms to increase its accuracy. However, Japanese words originated from Chinese words, and in a Japanese essay, half of the characters would be Kanjis. Hence, no matter how poor the translation was, it would not deviate too much from the original meaning.
As for why he wasn't blackmailing the government for more money, Chen Fan was of the opinion that he should not go overboard, just in case their tempers flare, resulting in them decisively withdrawing their submarine altogether. Anyway, he still had a killer strategy to end all strategies hidden up his sleeve, which was the nuclear submarine!
He copied the paragraph into WordPad, saved it on a flash drive, then inserted said flash drive into the laptop that he had bought from Japan. Windows operating system is the same everywhere, and there were many linguistic similarities between Japanese and Chinese, so Chen Fan could operate the laptop fine, as long as he wasn't doing anything too complicated.
The problem of the email address was easily solved. Chen Fan just went on Japan's Google site, compared it to a Chinese control interface, then registered a sockpuppet gmail account.
Taking a deep breath, Chen Fan pasted the paragraph into an email, then attached the voiceprint recording of the red gem submarine. The recording had been cut in half by Chen Fan, leaving only 23 MB remaining.
A minute later, the document had finished uploading. Chen Fan rubbed his nose, then pressed the Enter key.
"I hope my email will not be treated as spam!" Once the email sent prompt appeared, Chen Fan sat up in his chair and shut down all of his computers.
Walking down from the stone tower, Chen Fan cut off the battery of the connecting receiver. Even a fool would know that, once they discovered the truth of the document, they would mobilize all of the network technicians in the military to investigate the source of the email.
He got back to his house, sat down on his sofa. Then, while teasing Xiao Xue, which had already grown to 35 kgs, he watched the news channel to see if anything major had happened.
Two hours later, in number 15, Andorra la Vella Street, Paris, France.
The four-story greyish-white building looked ordinary from the outside, but the nearby residents all knew that the building was anything but ordinary. In fact, it was a building that made even the people working in those skyscrapers in the distance instinctively tread lightly when passing. That's because this building housed the National Cybersecurity Agency of France!
"Catherine, would you make me a cup of coffee, please? Thanks!" Sonnenfeldt poked his head out from the office, as he shouted towards a blonde in a black suit.
"Sonnenfeldt, can't you make it yourself? Why do you have to ask me to do it every single time?" The lady called Catherine grumbled a long while, before she unwillingly got up.
Five minutes later...
"Let's see who are these complainers, who are so free to whine to the government this time!" While drinking his coffee, Sonnenfeldt leisurely clicked open the server of the President's website.
Reviewing the emails that had been recently sent to the President's website was just one of his sundry tasks. His real identity was as a member of the network information security taskforce. As such, his job included maintaining the server of the President's website, so that he could deal with the harassment sent from hackers all over the world.
However, he was actually really enthusiastic about this task of reviewing the emails, because most of the complaints received were all over the place, making them incredibly amusing. For instance, he could clearly remember an incident from last year, when an 80-year-old lady sent an email praising the President ardently and confessing her love for him. She had even attached a few pictures of herself in a swimsuit!
He had just swallowed a mouthful of coffee, when he saw the email. Upon his surprise in reading it, he nearly choked to death on that very coffee!
Of course, he would submit any emails that contained constructive criticism, and were presented in a professional manner, to the President's secretary, who would then review them and make the final call as to whether or not the President should read them himself.
"I want the government to amend the law, so that postmodern performance arts would receive greater recognition from society…" Sonnenfeldt clicked open an email at random, reading it aloud softly.
With emails which like this, which were neither constructive nor interesting, he would press the delete button after a mere glance, before moving on to the next one.
"I love Mr. President, particularly his mature and reliable charm…" Sonnenfeldt loved flowery emails like these. Sipping his fragrant coffee, he made himself comfortable and continued reading.
When he had scrolled to the bottom, Sonnenfeldt's sip of coffee suddenly came spurting out from his nose, causing him to almost hack out a lung, while coughing. After hurriedly deleting a picture of a guy with long chest hairs and toned abs, Sonnenfeldt's attention was arrested by an email with a Japanese subject line.
"Huh, the Japanese are really something, sending their spam all the way here!" Sonnenfeldt shook his head.
Even the entire online community could not do anything about spam emails, so what could he do? Deleting that email, Sonnenfeldt continued browsing the rest of the emails.
"I am a six-year-old child, and I strongly request that the government allow underaged children to access pornographic websites."
"Haha!" Sonnenfeldt laughed out loud, satisfied with today's find. He was only halfway through, but he had already read so much amusing stuff.
Unfortunately, that was where his luck ended. The rest of the emails were not amusing in the least.
Bored of maintaining the server, Sonnenfeldt exited the backend interface and glanced at the clock, finding that there was still half an hour to go before the end of his shift. So, he resigned himself to spending that half hour in utter boredom.
After around ten minutes of playing minesweeper, Sonnenfeldt shook his head. While it was a classic game, he had played too much, causing him to gradually lose interest, especially since he was a high-level minesweeper, holding a steady record of around 40 seconds!
He refreshed the server a few times, but there still were no attention-grabbing subjects. Sonnenfeldt refused to give up, scanning the emails through several times, yet still not finding anything.
That Japanese email in between so many French emails was indeed attention-grabbing. After a moment's hesitation, Sonnenfeldt decided to click on it. Naturally, he could not read the Japanese, but he secretly just wanted to look at some unhealthy sites through the links provided.
"Hmm?" Sonnenfeldt found it odd that the email did not contain any of the links he had expected. There was just one paragraph and an attachment of around 20 MB in size.
Out of curiosity, Sonnenfeldt decided to put the message through their internal translation system. Could it be a challenge issued by a Japanese hacker, asking for them to test their respective Internet skills?


Because of an accident, Chen Fan obtained the power to possess an electric eel!

Qiao Zijin might have worked at it for an entire hour and wrote down a lot of words, but she did not translate much.
Qiao Nan took out a red pen quietly and started to edit the translation that Qiao Zijin tried hard to finish.
Qiao Nan crossed out a short sentence and wrote the correct translation by the side. Then, she drew a large cross on a long paragraph and did not bother to provide the correct translation.
In the end, Qiao Nan had no choice but to draw circles on the documents.
Qiao Zijin took more than an hour to translate, while Qiao Nan used less than three minutes to read through. "Sister, take a look for yourself. How was it possible? Zijin was one level higher than Qiao Nan. It was impossible that Qiao Nan could translate while she could not. Furthermore, she had done badly for her translations. "Qiao Nan, you can tell your sister the correct translations, and she will write them down. This way, the job is done by both of you. It was easy to buy a computer. Furthermore, Kimura Kazuki did not buy a used computer when he was at Akihabara. Instead, he bought a brand new laptop with amazing performance.
He disregarded Furuhashi Sakurakyu's request to take a stroll around Akihabara and also ignored her request for him to buy a desktop with top performance.
2080TI, 9900K… he did not understand any of those. Whenever she saw a new product, she would ask for it. She had never considered that he was living in such a cramped room. How would he have any extra money to buy unnecessary worldly possessions?
Furthermore, if he did buy a desktop computer, he would also need an internet cable to connect the computer to the internet. It would take a few more days to complete the process. A laptop would be less troublesome, and Wi-Fi would suffice.
Eventually, Furuhashi Sakurakyu gave up. She found out that he was an unyielding man who was also very stubborn and assertive. Besides, he was always efficient to act on something once he set his goals.

It would be utterly impossible to notice any difference without looking at the details. After all, any alteration to the details could lead to changes. 
On their way home, Furuhashi Sakurakyu sulked for a brief moment. Then, she began to talk to Kimura Kazuki on random topics. She was apparently a person who could not stand boredom.
Kimura Kazuki was puzzled as this woman seemed to have gone through a tremendous change in her personality since her return from Kageyama Park. She no longer carried the elegant demeanor that she had back when she was at the Nakagawa's residence. Now, she acted similar to ordinary teenage girls, despite being in her adulthood.
However, he did not ask her about this. Nonetheless, everyone showed a different side when they were with different people. Maybe this was just her true self.

Kimura Kazuki bought the computer for two main reasons, his translation work and the spirit-resting website, which he had previously discussed with Chiba Shiori. Otherwise, he would prefer to get a used laptop from a flea market and never consider getting a new computer. 
While Kimura Kazuki was at Akihide High School yesterday, he cast the Vision Spell on Chiba Shiori. Then, Chiba Shiori mentioned about the spirit-resting website, prompting Kimura Kazuki to prepare a computer to use as a web server.
Kimura Kazuki was dedicated to set up the spirit-resting website.
This website might mark the beginning of his successful future, and Chiba Shiori was the reason why he wanted to train his subordinates. However, his plan had to be carried out carefully. If the spirit-resting website could thrive, he would probably develop a bright future. However, at this moment, his priority was to secure an online translation job.
In this era, most of the job openings were posted on the internet, and translation jobs were no exception. Of course, this situation was only applicable to written translation. Currently, Japan had plenty of translation websites. To work as a part-time translator, a person had to first register as a member. They would then be recruited as one of the team members, and their pay would be calculated by per 1000 words.
Currently, the standard pay for freelance translators would be approximately 3000 yen per 1000 words for them to translate Japanese text to English. On the other hand, they would get about 2500 yen for English to Japanese translation work. However, the prices were subjected to changes based on the translator's standards, the difficulties of the texts, and the market's demands.
For part-time translators who possessed no qualification certificate, they would be offered an even lower price.
If they intended to obtain a qualification certificate, JLPT and JTest were the two prestigious exams as they both were officially recognized. However, Kimura Kazuki was only working as a part-time translator. His chances would naturally be widened with a qualification certificate, but not having a qualification certificate would have little effect on his job. 
Among all the relevant translation websites he had searched for, he soon picked and entered one of the sites. 
This website generally worked on a project basis. First, the registered members had to print and sign on both the contract and mutual nondisclosure agreement, mailed it to the company before they could eventually accept individual projects that were posted on the website and began their translation job. Besides, the prices for each project were transparent.
While Kimura Kazuki was occupied, focusing on the computer screen, Furuhashi Sakurakyu was watching him from aside. She furrowed her brows and asked, "Are you looking for a translation job?"
"Yes."
"If that's the case…" Furuhashi Sakurakyu interrupted, "You should check out the honyaku-zumi.net."
"The honyaku-zumi.net?" Kimura Kazuki was puzzled. He had never heard of this website. Then, he quickly realized that Furuhashi Sakurakyu had been hibernating for a decade. The translation agency that was probably famous 10 years ago might have already shut down.
"Just go on honyaku-zumi.net and have a look," At that moment, Furuhashi Sakurakyu finally realized that her knowledge about the website was 10 years old. However, she remembered that the owner of Honyaku-zumi & Co. was her friend. With her friend's capability, honyaku-zumi.net Translation Agency couldn't run out of business.
This time, Kimura Kazuki did not ignore her suggestion. He searched for honyaku-zumi.net. To his surprise, the website really existed. Once he entered honyaku-zumi.net's webpage, he was welcomed by the organized layout on the front page. The sky blue interface was aesthetic and appeared soothing. "Seemingly, the website is still running," Furuhashi Sakurakyu said proudly, "Honyaku-zumi & Co. is a small company, but their works are delicate. Hence, they are rather well-known in the industry. Of course, that was all in the past, and I'm not sure about their current reputation."
Listening to her chatter, Kimura Kazuki was browsing the website at the same time. After he completed the registration, he discovered that the site had the same essential functions as the other translation websites. It also provided jobs on a project basis. However, if he wanted to work for honyaku-zumi.net as a part-time translator, he was required to take an online recruitment test. After he submitted the test, his work would be graded.
Some of the projects listed on the website required translators with a specific grade and standard. He quickly ran through the website and noticed that the translators with higher grades were offered higher pay.
Kimura Kazuki marveled at the recruitment process of the website. Once he was registered as a member, he was required to take the recruitment test, which was actually an exam to grade the translators.
Within the stipulated time frame, he was required to complete the comprehension and listening tests. The difficulty would increase as he progressed through the tests. 
He had never encountered a recruitment test on other websites. Instead, they usually implemented the credit system. The credits of the translators would be deducted if they failed to submit their work by the due dates or presented a shoddy work. Once their credits had been completely debited, they would be blacklisted by the website. 
Comparing honyaku-zumi.net to the other translation websites, a majority of projects on usual translation websites were simple, requiring only the basic translation skills. But, the projects on honyaku-zumi.net required delicate yet excellent translation skills. Hence, Kimura Kazuki naturally preferred honyaku-zumi.net.
In his previous life, he was a man hailed from Huaxia, and his mother tongue was Chinese. After he turned into Kimura Kazuki, he became fluent in Japanese. Therefore, this website would be suitable for him.
For the coming hours, Kimura Kazuki sat still in front of his laptop, taking the recruitment test on honyaku-zumi.net. Furuhashi Sakurakyu had to borrow Kimura Kazuki's mobile phone to kill her time.
Kimura Kazuki did not reject her request. He passed her his mobile phone, in exchange for peace of mind. Nonetheless, he did not have anything private on his phone.
Later, Kimura Kazuki continued to sit facing the laptop, while Furuhashi Sakurakyu lay on the bed, playing with his phone. Neither of them was interrupting each other.
As Furuhashi Sakurakyu read about all the information in this current era from the internet, her curiosity about today's world continued to grow. However, her energy was quickly depleted as she was overwhelmed by all the new information. Soon, she began to feel sleepy.
Even though a specter did not need to sleep, but she could sleep if she wanted to. After all, sleeping would recharge her energy.
When she looked at the clock, it was already nine o'clock at night. Yet, Kimura Kazuki was still answering the recruitment test.
Furuhashi Sakurakyu rolled her eyes at him and intended to turn off the phone. However, she accidentally pressed the wrong button and entered his mailbox.
The next moment, she saw the names of Furuhashi Harunaka, Furuhashi Natsui, Furuhashi Akino, and Furuhashi Fuyuno. She quickly rose from the bed, and her sleepiness had instantly gone away.


Time travelling from the majestic era after the Recuperation of Reiki, he became Kimura Kazuki, a 16-year-old high school student in Japan, one year before the Reiki Recuperation.

Recap: An elf by the name of Elisa summoned/kidnapped me because she and some other elves wanted to learn English. Why? Because they opened a portal to my world, stole someone's laptop and got hooked on Netflicks using Starbux Wi-Fi.

Basically these elves committed burglary and now aspired to become NEETs.

Word spread that Elisa had successfully summoned an English teacher and the elves hastily set up a classroom in a meadow. A few desks and chairs. A blackboard. Around twenty students.

Actually I never agreed to teach them. But I never said no either. Elisa just took my hand and led to the meadow and I just went with it.

So now I stood in front of around twenty elves. All pointy ears and weird clothes. Looking at me.

Among them was Elisa. The one who summoned me.

She raised her hand.

I pointed at her. "What is it?"

"Kurata-SENSEI? What does the word 'sensei' mean?"

"It means 'teacher' in Japanese."

"But you're an English teacher."

"I am. But I am a Japanese English teacher."

"??"

"Anyways, I'll explain more later. For now just call me Kurata-sensei."

There was one thing I wanted to know though.

"Elisa."

"Yes!"

"Right now...err, I'm talking in Japanese. But just now you clearly couldn't understand a Japanese specific term. How can you understand me at all?"

An elf girl in purple robes and a monocle raised her hand. Her hair was long and black.

She said, "Kurata-sensei. Look at your chest."

I did. I was wearing some kind of amulet around my neck. A red ruby pulsing in the middle.

She said, "Elisa cast a translation spell on it. This way, any words that the magic doesn't identify as something you want to teach us, it'll translate it into our language."

"Then why don't you cast a translation spell on that laptop?"

"Translation spells only work on organic beings."

"What's your name?" I asked.

"Anastasia."

"Alright, Anastasia. Thank you."

OK... There are a ton of questions I want to ask. Like how can I go home? Where am I even going to live in this world? What do I eat? But for now I'll teach the first class.

HELLO is the English word used for a greeting.

HELLO has curious origins. Before the word HELLO was invented, English speaking people used phrases like GOOD DAY or HOW DO YOU DO.

The word HELLO came into existence when Thomas Edison invented the telephone. He coined the term during a misunderstanding while testing his telephone.

What is a telephone? It's a device you use to talk with someone who is far away. Kind of like magic. I'll explain how it works in another lesson.

No, Elisa, Thomas Edison is dead. Since a long time ago. And no, Elisa, I don't know if he died a virgin. Maybe he did. Maybe he didn't. I think he had children, so he couldn't have been a virgin. No, I don't think his wife was sleeping with another man. I seriously doubt it. And no, I don't know for sure. I just seriously doubt it.

OK, I'll continue with the second part.

MY NAME IS...

NAME is simple the word we use to identify what others call you.

MY is what we call a possessive determiner. MY is a words that shows that something belongs to me.

IS is an auxiliary verb. It means that it is a word that indicates something is happening. But IS doesn't really do anything on its own. Not like JUMP or EAT. Auxiliary verbs help something to happen.

"Kurata-sensei is MY future husband."

"I watched an award-winning Netflicks show called Stranger Thingies where they used those words."

I said, "Elisa, see me after class. There are some things I want to ask you."

Kurata Seiji is an English teacher. He has taught many students. But he has never taught elves. Until now.

Gun-Ho received the original letter from Lymondell Dyeon the following day by mail. It was written in English and clearly had Lymondell Dyeon's president's signature on it. Gun-Ho called for a staff from the general affairs department and had him type what Attorney Young-Jin Kim said on the phone yesterday.
"Make a document in Word and print out ten of them. We will hand it out to the managers and directors during the meeting."
"Yes, sir."
 
The meeting started. GH Mobile's managers and directors were sitting in Gun-Ho's office.
The meeting lasted longer than usual because the monthly loss and profit report came out about.
 
The conference table was situated in Gun-Ho's office. Gun-Ho was sitting in the middle of the table, and the internal auditor who used to work at a bank as a branch manager and managing director was sitting on Gun-Ho's left side. Gun-Ho met the internal auditor for the first time when he was working as a court officer during the Mulpasaneop's court receivership. Director Yoon was sitting next to the internal auditor; he graduated from Seoul National University majoring in Architecture. On the right side of Gun-Ho, the chief officer of the research center was sitting; he had a Ph.D. from Germany. The plant manager who graduated from Inha University, College of Engineering, was sitting next to him. The managers and directors in their 50s or 60s were looking at Gun-Ho's face, who was in his 30s.
"Mr. Internal Auditor, please proceed."
"Okay. I will start with the report on the loss and profit of last month. Our sales revenue increased significantly once we started supplying our new product—AM083 Assembly—to S Group. Our sales revenue for last month was 7.2 billion won. It's still short of our goal that our president had set, which is 10 billion won as monthly sales revenue. I suppose we will soon be able to achieve the goal since we are all working so hard."
"Hmm. What about the cost?"
"The cost of sales also increased a bit. It was caused by our recent moving to our new location. Our usual maintenance expenses stayed the same; however, our profit on sales is 600 million won due to the increase in Public Charge and Tax Profit."

Gun-Ho was listening to the report with his arms crossed. Once it was done, he placed the letter from Lymondell Dyeon on the table.

"I applied for doing a joint venture with Lymondell Dyeon. And this is their response to my application. They will send their staff to our company early next month."
Gun-Ho handed out a copy of the letter to each person in the room.
"I will read it for you all."
Once Gun-Ho finished reading the letter, some of them groaned lightly.
"Hmm, a joint venture…"
The GH Mobile's manager and directors nodded their heads.
 
Once the meeting was over, the general affairs manager entered the room.
"Sir, Team Leader Min-Sook Oh from GH Media will be here with our uniform's new design today."
"She is coming here?"
"Yes. She said she would be here by noon. Would you like to meet her?"
"Sure, I will be here all morning, anyway."
"She said she didn't want any payment for the uniform design, so I told her we have to pay her; otherwise we will get scolded by our president."
"Right. Tell her to issue a tax invoice for that."
"I already sent our business registration to her so she could issue a tax invoice to us."

When Team Leader Min-Sook Oh arrived at the factory in Jiksan Town, she was astonished. She knew Gun-Ho was a rich man, but she didn't imagine that he would run a company this big. Well, she actually had never seen a factory before that was as enormous as what she was seeing now.
"I've been jealous of the workers working in a big publishing company in the publishing complex in Paju City; however, this company is even way larger than that."
Team Leader Min-Sook Oh was walking around the factory out of curiosity; she had a visitor pass hanging around her neck. When a team leader at the production field saw her wandering around the factory, he yelled at her,
"Who are you? You shouldn't be here. It's not safe. You can get injured here!"
Team Leader Min-Sook Oh was frightened and quickly walked up to the second floor where all the offices were located. She saw workers moving busily in their office in uniforms, and she felt envious of them. She had always been working in a small office, and when she was standing in this large building, she felt like she was in a government building or something.
 
The workers in the office area seemed to be so busy that they didn't even realize Min-Sook was there.
"Hello, I came here to see the general affairs manager."
The workers indicated a desk surrounded by partitions.
When Min-Sook approached the desk, she could see the general affairs manager drawing a chart with his computer.
"Hi."
"Oh, hi. Are you Team Leader Min-Sook Oh from GH Media?"
The general affairs manager easily recognized her.
When Min-Sook took out her design drawing from her bag to show him, the general affairs manager suggested,
"Hold on to it. The president is in his office right now. We will hear your explanation about your design there. The general affairs manager took Min-Sook to the president's office. When they entered Gun-Ho's office, a president from a vendor company was about to leave."
"Sir, we have Team Leader Min-Sook Oh from GH Media here."
"Please send her in."
Min-Sook entered the president's office; it was a 30 something pyung large room. Gun-Ho was sitting at the conference table. He was wearing a white shirt with a tie.
"Oh, Team Leader Min-Sook Oh, please come and have a seat."
Gun-Ho showed her a seat.
To Min-Sook's eyes, Gun-Ho looked powerful. It must be hard to get a job in a company this big, but Gun-Ho owned the company. She couldn't believe Gun-Ho was the same man who she had met in the office close to Gangnam Station.
"Hello, sir."
Min-Sook sat carefully on the chair that Gun-Ho showed. She felt proud that she was working for GH Media, which was a part of GH "group."
Min-Sook started explaining her design drawing to Gun-Ho; her voice was shaking slightly. She had done presentations to many presidents of many companies before; however, Gun-Ho's company was the biggest among them.
Once she finished her explanation about her design, Gun-Ho smiled at her.
"That's good. I like the design. It's fresh and sophisticated. What do you think, Mr. General Affairs Manager?"
"I agree with you, sir. It will make the workers feel energetic and encouraged."
"Let's use this design for our uniform then."
"Yes, sir."
 
"How's the publishing company doing? When do we expect Professor Jien Wang's book to be released?"
"The translation for that book is already completed. Our chief editor—Mr. Jae-Sik Moon—is working on proofreading and editing. Once he is done with editing, I will start the design work."
"I see."
"President Jeong-Sook Shin likes the fact that design and editing work can be done within the company, so we don't have to outsource those works."
"Haha. That's true. How are the Japanese books that were published last time? Are they selling well?"
"Yes. The first editions are sold out already, and they are printing the second edition. The media talked good about those books, and that helped our sales."

It was a dark basement. Only one light, a yellowish lamp, glowed in the darkness. Under the lamp was a metal chair.
 
A man sat in an iron chair that reminded someone of an electric torture chair, expertly tied up. His limbs were firmly fixed on the metal chair.
The man looked terrible.
 
His two hands were tied to the armrests, and all ten fingers were bleeding, with no nails, and broken multiple times. The shape of his thighs was even worse, with dozens of nails sticking out of them.
 
The name of the man with terrible wounds and a gag was Cho Sung-yeon.
 
'Ah.'
 
The 28-year-old young man was on the verge of death. The only reason for his death was that he had said that something wrong was wrong.
 
'Damn it.' Of course, he was angry at the fact. In other words, he kept his will in spite of this terrible wounds.
 
Screech! There was finally a sound in the basement. It was the sound of the door opening.
 
'Who is it?'
 
Clump. A string of footsteps followed. Cho carefully opened his eyes, which were burning very brightly, unlike his horrible shape.
 
Was that why? Cho was able to see two men coming toward him from beyond the darkness. One was a man in a military uniform. His rank was Major, but his image was not at all like a soldier. He looked like a civilian in a military costume play.
 
The other was a man dressed in an outfit reminiscent of a Japanese Samurai of the Sengoku period, wearing breathtaking armor and a sword at his waist.
 
It was an extraordinary combination, but it was a familiar combination one to Cho. 'Here they are, the damned Japanese and the pro-Japanese bastard.'
 
Kojima and Jang Byung-wook. It was already the third time that they had come to Cho Sung-yeon. The two stood in front of Cho. When Kojima gave the signal, Jang immediately pulled out the gag in his mouth.
 
"Whew! It's numb." As soon as the gag disappeared, Cho Sung-yeon immediately spoke to Jang.
 
Jang was not surprised, as this was not the first time for him, but the third time.
 
"Oh, I'm tingling," Cho said after his jaw was loosened to some extent, because he had been gagged.
 
"I don't want to kill myself by biting my tongue, but you keep gagging my tongue. You fucking bastards, I will not die if I bite my tongue."
 
Jang did not answer to Cho's complaints. Instead, he conveyed his words to Kojima in Japanese.
 
The samurai, with his thick beard covering his chin, nodded and smiled. Then Kojima said something, and Jang interpreted the words.

"He says the offer is still valid."
"What? What? I can't hear you because you're a pro-Japanese bastard."
 
Jang's face hardened, and Cho smiled deeply.
 
"What are you doing? Just interpret it. You got the Major's rank to do it. Of course, under the Second Operations Command, there are more people with Major ranks than Second Lieutenants. They have no pension, and they have to make their own rank-insignia and attach it to their clothes by themselves. The Major is a rank that everyone ignores."

Jang interpreted the words again after he clenched his mouth tightly at the words of Cho.
 
Kojima's expression hardened when the interpreter had properly delivered it.
Then again, Kojima spoke, and Jang Byung-wook translated it.
 
"If you accept the offer, the Ninja and Samurai on the Japanese mainland will be your power, you can destroy the Second Operations Command, you will manage Korea, and you will be the king of Korea."
 
"No, I can be a king by myself. Why do the damn Japanese decide that? Funny little bastards."
 
The conversation was repeated through the translation. But in fact, the interpreter was actually meaningless to Cho.
 
'I'm annoyed to hear the translation in the middle, pretending not to speak Japanese.' Cho knew how to speak Japanese. But he pretended not to know Japanese, and then he could hear it straight away.

Or, on the other hand, the Résistance would quake and bow down to Japan to destroy the Second Operations Command. To Japan, it was much better than one side pushing the other side.
 
'Shit, they really piss me off.' It was ridiculous to Cho.
 
"Tanaka went to catch Lee Yeon-ah. He'll catch her sooner or later, and then I'll talk to him again."
 
Cho heard the name of Lee Yeon-ah. 'Damn it.' When he heard it, he closed his eyes to hide how shaken he was.
 
Thump! A sudden roar shook the Daegu City Hall building above them.
 
Screech, screech. The light shook above Cho's head, and it told them that the shock they felt was not an illusion.
 
"What's going on?"
 
"I, I don't know."
 
"We're going out. If an earthquake happens, it's not good to be underground."
 
The two left the basement immediately. For their benefit, Cho responded with all his might. He clutched the fingers of both his hands, still tied to the armrests, except the two middle fingers.

The First Hunter is a short Korean, action-fantasy novel situated in a post-apocalyptic world. Monsters start appearing out of nowhere and people are unlocking strange powers. Those who unlock such powers are called ‘Hunters’, ones with the strength to kill the monsters. To fight and survive, that is their goal. Society crumbles and the world burns.

A very fun novel that dives into the plot almost instantly. The novel is interesting in a way that it depicts a lot of human nature and what people would do in a situation such as this is quite an accurate manner. The character development is also very good as you get to learn about the characters, their backgrounds, and their stories. All in all, this is another novel I’d recommend to a lot of readers who are interested in reading fantasy and gaming novels.

Today was weekend and it's been two months since i transferred I also met my grandparents on my mom's side sa kanila din ako minsan nag ii-stay pag weekend, since its weekend it means that we don't have class, pero hindi ibig sabihin nun ay hindi na ako mag aaral, after i ate my breakfast and clean my room -i'm the one who's cleaning my room even though we had a maid di naman kasi mahirap mag linis- i started to review all my notes since malapit na ang examination week namin, midterms are coming, kailangan kong mag review para naman di ako mangolelat and to make sure that i maintain my grades, i don't want to disappoint my dad and grandparents at isa pa gusto kong mahigitan ang grades ni kuya nung high school pa sya, but then i cant beat him coz he was a genius, but at least kahit hindi ako ang top sa klase i'm still in the ranking.

Di ko namalayan ang oras sa kaka-review ko, and when i look at the clock in my study table i saw that it was already past 2 in the afternoon at hindi pa ako na kain, no wonder that's why my stomach keeps on making noise, gutom na pala ako masyado akong na focus sa pag aaral.

"Miss Kasey may phone call po kayo, naiwan nyo po itong cellphone nyo sa dining table kanina " one of our maid said nang lumabas ako ng kwarto ko.

"okay, thanks" I said as i get the phone from her, i even forgot about my phone naiwan ko nga pala to sa dining table kaninang umaga.

"moshi moshi ?" (translation: hello; Japanese term use to say hello over the phone)

"huh?!, hey Kasey what did you say?" the person from the other line said

"i'm sorry, ikaw pala Cherry, napatawag ka?" akala ko naman si kuya na

"are you free tomorrow afternoon?" h

"tomorrow?, Oo bakit?"

"i just want to invite you, tayong tatlo ni Denise, gala lang"

"Ok"

"Wah!, Ok, promise yan ha, ok tomorrow 10 am, text ko na lang sayo kung saan"

"o-ok" then she hang up the call

"It seems na may mga kaibigan ka na sa school ah" si lolo pala

"opo" i said in a low tone voice,

I know what hes pointing out and i don't want to talk about it anymore, i'm not comfortable

"oh, your frowning again, wag mo na kasing isipin yun, past is past, ok" naka ngiti nyang sambit as he poke my left cheek

"pero lolo-" i was cut off because my lolo suddenly shout.

"AH!, I remembered, may ipapakilala pala ako sayo,"

"sino po yun lo?" kunot noo kong tanong

"you will know him soon,he was the same age as you, i hope you will be friends with him, i need to go now, may meeting pa ako" then ayun umalis na sya after nya akong i-kiss sa noo, si lolo talaga.

"ok po" mahina kong sambit bago pa sya tuluyang maka labas ng bahay.

The next day, I meet Denise and Cherry sa mall malapit saamin, we chat, eat, shop and play all day long, i never thought na mapapabili ako ng di oras ngayon.

While on our way home tumigil na muna kami sa isang bench sa park kalapit ng mall, masakit na kasi paa namin kakalakad mag hapon, feeling ko matatanggal na yung paa ko, may mga paltos na nga ata ako eh. But, im so happy to be with this two, being with them keep me at ease, besides i got to know them more.

"So you mean ang kuya mo ay model slash singer slash dancer slash actor and now he is managing your restaurant in Japan even though he has a very busy schedule,wow! You're really different from us"Cherry said in loud voice

"sshh, pwede bang hinaan mo yung boses mo" ayan napuna tuloy ni Denise

"yeah, di lang naman sya ang nagma-manage ng restaurants namin dun, pati uncle ko, they were helping him since that was our family business" i said,

Paano ba napunta sa akin ang usapan na to.

"kung model ang kuya mo, ikaw model ka din ba dun?"curious na tanong ni Cherry

"bakit naman?"

Di ata maubos ang tanong ni Cherry, ano ba to interview about sa buhay ko, hot seat?.

"o-ok, tara na uwi na tayo, may pasok pa tayo bukas" Cherry said as she stand up and face us.

"matanong ko lang bakit kayo nandito ng lolo mo eh nandun naman ang pamilya nyo sa Japan?" pag uusisa naman ni Denise

"h-ha?, kasi gusto ni lolo at saka nandito kasi ang grandparents ko, ang parents ni mama, kaya ayun, teka nga tama na tong tanungan portion nyo sa akin" pagdadahilan ko at pag iiba ko ng usapan.

I can't tell them now the real reason why I'm here with my grandfather. There's no need to tell them.

"ok" they both said.

For two months na magkakasama kami ngayon lang nila yun naisipang itanong. Well pakialam ko ba.

Then after that umuwi na kami, pag uwi ko wala pa si lolo, and since busog naman na ako di na ako nag dinner instead dumiretso na ako sa kwarto ko para mag shower and get ready to sleep.

"Let go of me!, let go of me!" I shouted while crying.

"sshh.. Stop crying Kasey, we will live together from now on, your mine right!, your mine, you are the only one for me, so stop crying ok, Kasey's mine and no one can get you away from me," the man said to me while combing my hair as he laugh hysterically

I can't move, I cant scream either, I was scared, all I can do is to cry, while he was slowly moving his hands through my body.

"LET GO OF ME!!!!!!"

"apo, your having a nightmare, here uminom ka na muna ng tubig" nag aalalang sambit ni lolo ng tulungan nya akong umupo ng maayos at abutan ng tubig.

"Ojichan!" i hug him and there i start to cry

"sshh.. Wag ka ng umiyak, nandito lang si lolo, saka panaginip lang yun, ok, halika ka na, umaga na oh, may pasok ka pa di ba, sige na bumangon ka na, aantayin kita sa dining table, ako ang mag da-drive para sayo ngayon, kaya sige na maligo ka na, pawis na pawis ka na rin" sabi ni lolo as he gently rub my back to calm me down

Panaginip lang pala.

Pati ba naman sa panaginip ko?, kailan ba ako lulubayan ng masamang panaginip na iyon?.

While Rolin and Huang Xuan were discussing that there were too many local dialects in Brazilian, the back door was opened quietly again. It had been lubricated heavily by the students so as not to make a sound when opened and closed unless the two doors struck against each other. Having sensed Huang Xuan’s stare, the girl turned her head, pouting her plump lips and wrinkling her high and straight nose. 
Huang Xuan wasn’t ashamed. He raised his head and made a funny face.
“It’s you?” That was the classical beauty Huang Xuan had met at the airport. The bodyguards weren’t around. She was smiling,and her eyes were as blue as a lake.
