The end of the world came suddenly and quietly one day. It came with a flash, though not many creatures actually saw it. The world was bathed in invisible light projected from the depths of space, projected by Earth's would-be conquerors.

Potent gamma rays flooded the entire planet. In a split second most life had dropped dead immediately. It was a clean and precise strike. One minute the world was bustling with activity and life, the next trees withered grass browned and animals fell to the ground. Some were fortunate to live through the massive influx of energy, though few would live long as cancer and scarce resources would take care of them. Most likely before the spaceship ever came into orbit.

Zandra worked for the U.S. military on a Black Project under the Sandra Mountain Range. An unacknowledged project by the U.S. government meant to supersede atomic/fusion bombs as the threat-deterrent of the next century. The goal, a machine meant to manipulate gravity and matter itself.

Typing out calculations for the most recent test to create an artificial gravity well she rand her fingers over the screen of her computer. The old CRT monitor always seemed to attract dust from the static that built on its glass. She had to work with old equipment since last year ever since congress had limited the budget for military spending and the last negative-energy pulse fried half the computers in the lab.

"Zandra, could you get those calculations to me soon? I want to try and fire the well up once more before we shut down the reactor for today." said a deep voice over the intercom. Andy Broha, project lead. A magnificent mind, part of the reason she took this job. "I'll try to finish up quick, but the readings seem off. I might need to run them --" Zandra could barely finish before alarms began blaring all throughout the lab. "Andy? Andy what's that? Those aren't containment alarms did we just get hit? Andy? Andy I'm coming out." Zandra frantically tried to connect to the main lab through the intercom.

Zandra went through the release procedure to open the vault-like door that kept the simulation chamber separate from the main lab only to hear [WARNING: GAMMA RADIATION CONTAMINATION IN LAB. AUTOMATIC QUARANTINE IN PLACE. SCRUBBING PROCEDURE IN PROCESS. PLEASE WAIT] She was dumbstruck. "Did someone drop a nuke out side? What the hell happened?"

Hours later Zandra was finally able to exit the simulation chamber. She had tried and failed multiple times to communicate through the intercom and she was nervous to learn what had transpired. Palms sweating as the vault-door swung open she was not prepared for what she saw. Bodies. The bodies of everyone in the lab all dead. Some looking like they were still silently at work, frozen in time. Others sprawled out on the floor. She puked at the sight of it all.

Zandra rushed to a terminal only to find it dead. All of the computers in the lab were dead. The only electronics that weren't affected were the ones in the simulation chamber, and the heavy duty testing equipment. She had no way to know what had happened outside without going out there herself. Zandra steeled herself and found a radiation suit and a Geiger-Counter that still worked. Thankfully when she turned it on there was very little reading she got from inside the facility.

"Oh my God" Zandra couldn't help but cry out as she looked out at the dead wilderness beneath the mountain range. On the way she had seen countless dead military personnel. No survivors. No wildlife. Nothing. Worst of all everything still carried immense amounts of radiation according to her counter.

Zandra's mind reeled at the sight of it all. The Earth had been scorched, not by a nuclear explosion or fallout. No this was akin to a gamma-ray burst that might occur from a supernova. She looked into the distance with a thousand yard stare. Who knew how many people had survived that? It could be only her, everyone else died in the Black Site and they were under a mountain.

She slowly went back to the lab and sobbed. Hours later she began a mind-numbing operation that she was ill-prepared for. She had to move all of those dead bodies out of the lab before they rotted.

A mishmash of electronics lay before Zandra on an office desk, she had collected them all from every piece of equipment she could, slowly testing which ones hadn't been damaged by the radiation. It was a slow and grueling process but it helped to numb her mind.

She had tested everything she could with the Geiger-Counter, and to her dismay found that the water and food in the base still had some radiation in them. The air in the base and all of the lab equipment was neutralized, but she would be slowly poisoning herself if she ate the food. Sadly, there was no food outside the base to be eaten.

Very few of the vehicles worked. Most of them had been fried and even if they did work there was far too much radiation outside to go travelling, so she was stranded here unless she could communicate with the outside world. Which is why she was testing electronic components, so she could repair some of the satellite antennas on the base.

Zandra finished soldering her patchwork job into place and booted up a laptop she had repaired. "Yes! Oh thank god some of the constellation is still up! Now let's see who's still out there." she went back inside of the base and attempted to reach out to the U.S. Military or the Government.

"This is military research site Beta Zed Nine communicating all known open channels. I repeat This is military research site Beta Zed Nine communicating on all known open channels. A large gamma pulse has hit the site and contaminated the entire surrounding area, please respond." She continued to send the distress signal out in hopes of getting a response.

Several weeks went by with Zandra slowly trying to repair functionality to the base before she finally got a response.

"Beta Zed Nine, this is the ISS we read you loud and clear. Glad to hear from the ground again, you're the first signal we received after our repairs. We... have to inform you that the gamma pulse that you mention is not isolated to your site. It hit the whole planet. Also, we're not faring well up here either. We weren't caught in the direct beam but the whole crew has radiation poisoning. We're probably not going to make it much longer. We do have measurements made of the pulse as well as some information from NASA before the pulse that might be helpful. Is this a computer or a phone connection?" A croaking female voice replied.

Zandra scrambled to her laptop "ISS, this is Beta Zed Nine this is a computer connection. What kind of information is this?"

"You'll want to be sitting down for this"

Zandra slumped in her chair tears streaming down her face as she looked through the information on her laptop. A "rogue asteroid" had been detected by NASA entering into the edges of the solar system a few days ago and they were trying to come up with a response to it after they realized it was headed towards Earth. According to the calculations made by the crew of the ISS it was from this "asteroid" that the pulse originated from.

"So... Aliens. There's only one way for a pulse that powerful to be produced. A supernova, or technology. It's too coincidental that right after it appears precisely from its location a gamma pulse wipes out life on Earth."

"FUCK!" Zandra yelled hurling her laptop across the room.

She felt so raw. Everyone she knew was dead. The world was poisoned. Aliens were on their way towards Earth. Even if she hid away all of her food would slowly kill her. She was doomed, Earth was doomed.

Over the next few days she hazed in and out of clarity, attempted to commit suicide multiple times, and barely ate. Zandra just lay there on her bed staring up at the ceiling blankly. Thoughts roiling in her head, deep hatred burning in her chest. Finally she had a monstrous thought that just wouldn't go away. She was a scientist, a weapons researcher, working on the most destructive weapon in history trying to harness gravity matter and time itself. Why not throw caution to the wind and try to finish the weapon before the aliens got here?

Zandra slowly got up off her bed, eyes burning with a passion that had never been there before in her life. She went to work.

Zandra spent nearly one year working on her project. Every so often she would head out into the world and bring back materials from other black sites she knew the locations of not caring for the high radiation she exposed herself to.

At this point she had finished what was the original goal of the project. A gravitational warhead that could be inserted into conventional rockets. Rockets she simply procured from the other black sites. She had even been able to use them as she found foreign satellites entering Earth's atmosphere. No doubt from the aliens. She blew them up with no remorse.

However, these interactions left her to realize that whatever was coming was far bigger and she would need a much more powerful weapon. So she set to work on that too. She didn't have much time to work on it but she realized something while working on the gravitational warhead. That time was warped around the warhead as it went off, and this caused a spacial shearing that reverberated around it and if powerful enough could echo for a short while. If she could just harness that shear effect might be enough to rip apart space itself around Earth's alien invaders.

A feeble woman stood back from her work. She had a bald head and splotchy skin, blood stained across the right arm of her jacket from all of her coughing. Earth's last warrior, body broken down from radiation poisoning and the energy given off from her gravity bending experiments.

"Alright, finally finished. I'm not really sure if it works. But I don't have any more material left to make another one. And I'm pretty sure I can't go outside again to get more rockets." Zandra said as she talked to herself.

As she admired her work alarms started to blare as she saw a shape burning through the sky. She quickly pulled out her laptop on the spot and started to arm every last one of her rockets as well as her final creation. Aiming a few of them towards the dark satellite that hurtled towards her and reading the rest for the ship she knew was above her planet.

"Now or never, please work" Zandra initiated liftoff and a dozen sleek cylinders of death carried off into the sky.

The dark satellite was struck down by two of the gravitational warheads. landing at the base of the mountain where it exploded sending tremors through the ground and knocking Zandra off her feat. She didn't care she only watched as her last hopes fired into the sky bright and shining.

Aboard the spaceship a tall and elegant figure stood looking out at the planet below, raging after another satellite sent after the retched animal was shot down again. Its primitive weapons were surprisingly destructive. Yelling at the crew around it for another volley it looked up with a start to see 10 bright stars aiming right for the ship. The animal had sent them a present.

A volley of alien ammunition found its mark on the warheads at the front but after it detonated the space around it warped and curved the rounds away from the ones behind it. Even lasers sent towards them had the same effect the gravity bent the light around the missiles behind. After volley upon volley were sent two gleaming suns exploded on the right side of the ship.

The elegant figure breathed a sigh of relief, the damage was smaller than expected. The first missile had caused great damage, but the second seemed to be a dud. The next moment the figures face contorted as it watched space collapse and rip apart, matter burn, time distort, and finally reality itself torn asunder.

A shock-wave went out, faster than the speed of light. Reaching the ends of the universe in seconds. The physical laws of the universe distorted and reality itself collapsed back in on itself. Zandra simply watched it all from below as her consciousness faded.

After the destruction of Earth and humanity's enslavement Zandra works alone to destroy the current balance of the universe. 
After sending everything through a new cycle of Rebirth she must fight her way through a new and more mystical world.

Dragging Chún behind it like a banner, the World Tree staff shot high up in the sky; piercing through the dusty and ash filled air like an arrow shot towards the World Tree. Although the fires and various other disasters had stopped, the air was still smelled of smoke and dust.

The World Tree loomed upward quickly as the Word Staff hurtled closer, covering the sky. But in his Essence Sense, Chún could see the ethereal mother-of-pearl links of the broken chain that hung raggedly down from some unknown place beyond the Heavens - each link dwarfing the World Tree.
  
Now that he was closer, he could see that the chain had once been embedded into the surface of the world was several hundred li beyond the World Tree - and not at the base of the World Tree as he had originally thought from a distance - but even from hundreds of li away, the immensity of the chain links of shimmering pearl made the World Tree seem an ordinary sized tree.

The wall of the crater that held the World Tree appeared quickly. Despite the height at which the World Tree staff was flying,  Chún could tell that the crater had expanded like the rest of the Mountain and was now a vast basin - several times its earlier diameter - with much higher and thicker edges forming the 'cliffs' around it.

The World Tree staff stopped flying and fell like a thrown spear; they plummeted from the sky into the basin which was still awash with abundant plant life of all sizes, hues, colours and shapes. The World Tree must have protected the whole area despite being so close to the epicentre of the largest explosions - he could not imagine how that was even remotely possible.

He did notice that the massive levels of Essence that had caused him so much difficulty previously, were not currently present around the World Tree, despite the glow of Essence and Dao patterns that seemed to spread out from it as normal; he guessed all the local Essence had been expended shielding the basin. 
Even the cliffs around the basin looked like ordinary rock at the moment, instead of Essence Crystal, which demonstrated how much energy the World Tree had spent and drained out of the surrounding area to shield the area from the severe damage visible elsewhere, despite being so close to the worst of it, but he still could not imagine - how - it had achieved it.
Given that the World Tree used to be his old staff he felt - probably inappropriately - proud of the fact that it had managed it, even though it had nothing to do with him.

The World Tree Staff embedded itself into the grass under the World Tree so hard that it vibrated like a tuning fork. Chún slammed into the ground at high speed beside it as he created a small personal crater and crumpled into a groaning pile of pain.
"Āiyō. Āiyō. Āiyō…" The young true Cultivator sat up slowly, rubbing his head in annoyance as he glared at his staff that was still vibrating in place. "What was that for?"

Brushing himself off, he stood up, taking a deep breath of clean air. Evidently the World Tree was purifying the air around it.
Looking around, he could see that in addition to the surviving flora, there were creatures everywhere. It seemed a substantial portion of the population of the Mountain had managed to make it to the crater, before the Tribulation had gotten to the stage of completely devastating everything in its path. Although he had no doubt that many had died in the tribulation, it was clear that enough had made it here to occupy nearly every available surface - log, tree, rock, grass or otherwise - in sight.

It was eerie to see so many normally fiercely territorial Essence Beasts placidly sharing the same territory with other Essence Beasts and ordinary creatures, with little more than the occasional token growl, squawk or snarl as someone was trod on or brushed against. In his Essence sense, he could see all of the flora and fauna absorbing that same pearl Essence that seemed to come from the broken chain.

Now that he was so close, he could see a fog of that pearl like Essence falling to the ground off of all  the links, with the most coming off the links closest to the end. He could see the last link shaking slightly - which probably meant it would eventually shatter and send another wave of the odd Essence out as well.

Since it seemed to be a positive thing, he supposed he should be happy, but he only felt lost. For the last month, he had the Mountain in his thoughts and feelings - now he could barely feel the link. He had no idea what to do next.

A few cheerful chirps distracted him from his worries as a few of the flying glowing Essence creatures zoomed around his head.
He blinked and turned to look back towards the direction of the Heaven and Earth Vine, "Oh… I am sorry, I have not seen your friends since the storm started… I hope they are OK." He bowed apologetically towards the strange creatures, but they only chirped cheerfully again and zipped off somewhere else.

"I should have checked on them," he muttered to himself, "I did not see them in the Vine or the garden just then…" He took a step towards the crater's edge, although he could see it was now about a half-shi's travel at his highest speed to reach it.
There was a blur of movement and the World Tree staff thunked into the ground directly in front of his path, causing him to recoil and jump back a pace on reflex. "What…?"

He narrowed his eyes and took a step to the left, inching around the staff. It leaned in his direction, vibrating in what he could swear was a warning manner.
"I - can - cut you off," he responded with his own warning, decreasing the flow of his Essence to the staff slightly.
The staff slammed upright and the Dao patterns inside its black depths pulsed slightly, giving off a slightly abashed feeling. He was not quite sure how it was possible for a staff to look apologetic, but it seemed to be managing it.

He shook his head. "I just need to know what is going on,' he said quietly, "I am glad the World Tree was able to protect the valley, but it does not tell me what is happening. Or even if the little flying creatures survived. I am sort of responsible for them, since they were taking care of the garden. I do not even know how they are even flying around," he gestured towards some of the glowing Essence creatures as they zoomed cheerfully around the various plants and creatures, "the Mountain said they need high Essence levels to survive and the Essence does not feel high here at the moment."

"They are alive becausse of the Ccelesstial Esssencce," a familiar hissing voice spoke from behind him, "it iss good that you ssurvived, True Cultivator."

Chún stiffened and slowly turned around, bowing in the direction of the voice as he did so, "Your Majesty. I am also glad you are well."
There was an amused hiss from the large Flood Dragon as it reared above him from its large pile of coils. The teen noticed that the Sky Level Essence Beast had a familiar pattern of scorched and burnt scales flaking off its body, revealing much harder and tougher looking, pristine scales underneath.

"You were caught in the lightning as well, your Majesty?" he asked carefully, indicating the old skin that was sloughing off.
"Tribulation lightning and ffire iss very benefficcial for Cultivation iff one can withsstand and abssorb it," the large snake replied cheerfully, "esspeccially ass I am inclined towardss the lightning Element. I wass able to advancce a minor rank before the tribulation level became too much ffor me to handle."

"So it - was - a Heavenly Tribulation for the Mountain? And, that explains what Shé Yin was doing staying next to the Silver Tree in the Immortals Cave while the tree was absorbing the lightning bolts collected by the Heaven and Earth Vine. I hope he is OK." Chún's words tumbled to a stop self-consciously, realising he was blathering.

"Yess, my sson iss ssimilar to me - the lightning benefitted him alsso. I wass alsso able to asssisst my Ssilver Tree in withsstanding the Heavenly Tribulation ass well." The Flood Dragon's reply was amused.

"It was very destructive," responded the young teen True Cultivator with concern, "I can barely feel Mountain in the link and he is not responding to me." He waved his hands in frustration, "outside of here almost the whole world is destroyed - I think my friend was almost killed! I do not understand why the Heavenly Tribulation occurred - I thought tribulations were a punishment for going against the natural Dao? The Mountain would never use broken techniques to advance - it was always telling me about following your own Dao!"

The Flood Dragon let out hissing laughter, "You think it iss natural for a Mountain to become a Treasure Land and then a ssmall moon insside  a ssecret realm within a ssingle month?" The Flood Dragon dropped its head down to Chún's height and turned its head to fix him with one giant eye.

Chún blanched and stepped back, his voice cracking nervously, "...nèige… I do not actually know… I was only an orphan street rat last month…" he looked away and scratching his head responded quietly, "...nèige… I guess it is strange… but it is not like I ever had reason to question this rate of advancement."

The enormous snake raised its massive head up, snorting. "Humph. It normally takess millionss of yearss and many lucky cchanccess. Even if the Mountain hass not technically broken itss Dao, it hass advancced unnaturally ffasst."
The majestic snake paused and sighed, "Sso when it re-esstablisshed a sstable connection to the Heavenss that are itss birthplacce, thosse Heavenss ssought to tesst itss worthinesss to risse from a Mountain, to a moon in itss own sseperate realm. 

The Flood Dragon shook its head helplessly, sounding resigned, "Normally, ssuch testss are sspread out over millionss of yearss of sslow progresssion, but beccausse the Mountain had already triggered sso many testss with itss rapid advanccement - and beccausse the testss had been building up while the Mountain wass issolated from Planet Golden Crow - they all arrived at oncce."

The young teen blinked. "But then, why did the Mountain have me build a stable connection to planet Golden Crow? Did it not know this was going to happen?"
The Flood Dragon swayed meditatively from side to side, "What did the Mountain tell you?"
Chún thought back to the conversations. "...nèige…it said something about not having enough water… not being able to have proper weather to keep everything alive…"

"The Mountain had no choice - it needed the connection sstablissed or eventually it would have dried up and died anyway," the Flood Dragon said as gently as a hundred armspan long snake could, "It gambled - it hoped it would ssurvive - with your help."

"Because of the True Cultivator effect," realised the young teen, "but it was going badly, was it not?"
"Yess," agreed the snake, "sso your friend took a cchance - and with a great effort redirected the power of the Heavenly Tribulation - to change their Dao."
Chún rocked back in astonishment, "Change its Dao? How is it possible?"
"It sstruck and broke one of the Nine Chainss of Heaven," the Flood Dragon swayed, contemplatively. 

"Ass it had become a sseperate Realm it had the right to challenge the Heaven that it iss bound to - to become a new Heaven in itss own right." The snake's tail flicked restlessly as it explained, "To Cultivate ffrom a minor Realm into a Heaven, a realm musst make nine sseperate attemptss to break one of the Nine Chainss of Heaven that hold it bound to the Heaven it wass born from."

The Flood Dragon stabbed the point of its tail towards the shattered length of immense chain that hung from the sky, "ffail an attempt and the Heaven will desstroy you ass punisshment; ssucceed and then the Realm changes itss Dao to sstart a new path of becoming an independent Heaven of itss own - or continue the path, if it hass already broken itss firsst chain."

The Flood dragon lifted its head to look up at the behemoth chain of mother-of-pearl Essence that hung from the sky.  "Celesstial Esssencce is coming from the sshattered chain - it iss healing and sstrengthening the new Heaven."

"Oh." Chún nodded with bemusement, "so the Mountain is Cultivating along with me… does that mean the Mountain will be stronger since it succeeded in breaking one of the chains?"
The large snake nodded imperiously, "The World iss full ssized now and hass ssuccceeded in esstablisshing itss Firsst Heaven. It will take a few dayss, but the World will awaken. Do not worry about your friend - it took a great rissk to change a calamity into victory and won."

Chún thought of something and he looked up with a concerned face, "If we are our own Heaven now, are we... still connected to Golden Crow?"
"I believe sso," replied the Flood Dragon, "Oncce the World awakenss it will be ssafe to check, but there are sstill eight other Chainss binding uss to Golden Crow Heaven - thiss Heaven is only at the equivalent of a Mortal Rank Cultivator - if we are to think of it in termss of the Cultivation we are ussed to."

"I am fortunate that you know so much," said Chún, bowing in gratitude, "Without the Mountain guiding me I was at a loss."
"I am old and have sseen much," replied the Flood Dragon, bobbing its head in gracious acceptance, "but even ffor me, thiss wass new. Iff it wass not ffor Dragon Blood Memoriess, I would not know either."

"How long has it been since the Heavenly Tribulation? And do you know how many days it will take for the World to awaken?" asked the teen tentatively.
"It remainss the ssame day as the tribulation," responded the Flood Dragon a touch of irritation entering its hissing, "and I do not know. I know a couple more chain linkss will be enough to make mosst of the new Planet livable and then we can leave thiss placce. But I do not know how long before your friend awakenss." The large snake moved abruptly away, heading towards a disturbance where a number of Beasts were milling about.

"Well," said the True Cultivator as he watched the Flood Dragon breaking up whatever dispute was occurring in the distance, "I suppose he has to make sure things do not get out of hand with everyone crowded together like this." He looked up at the shimmering chain links that hung out of the sky, "Heaven's Chains and Celestial Essence, en? Well, I suppose Mountain will be able to explain more when it wakes."

He looked at the World Tree staff. "Is this what you wanted to bring me here for?"

There was no response from the staff. Chún rolled his eyes and looked up at the World Tree, then around at the scene around him. Everyone seemed to be Cultivating, he could see that everyone was drawing in as much of the Celestial Essence as possible from the shattered chain. "Celestial… I guess that explains why it looks like glowing pearl stuff..." 

Quietly he walked over to the staff and grabbed hold of it, looking like he had a length of the night sky in his hand, then sat down. Exhaling out his worries and stress he released his cloak - which shimmered faintly on his body without making a big spectacle of billowing Essence mist - and relaxed into the faint but familiar pulse of the World in his Essence Sense. This close to the Chain of Heaven, he could also hear a soft chiming sound as the links rubbed together and slowly disintegrated.

The sounds were comforting and he relaxed into a deep meditative state, slowly losing track of time as he pulled the new type of Essence into his body. The new Essence was very potent, but gentle, washing his bones and marrow. Remarkably, given the amount of tempering he had already been through, it cleaned out impurities and healed damage he did not realise was there.

Eventually another link shattered, sending a potent wash of the Essence through him and saturating his body and Essence with it. He spent a long time slowly balancing the new Essence with his existing Dao, slowly making it a natural part of his Dao.

More links shattered and he was dimly aware through his Cultivation of the Essence Beasts and other creatures leaving. He supposed that he had been there a long time, but his Dao was making clear that he must learn to generate this new Essence before the chain finished breaking, or he would run out of it without a source. 

And given it was now part of his Dao - that would be bad.

Why is it, that no mater how many world shattering heroes rise and fall, no matter how many times a realm is said to be depleted of resources, a hero rises again - burning all the resources they find as they go?

Another inheritance is always found, another spirit herb, magical artefact... and no one asks why they never seem to run out...

...what keeps creating all these fortunate encounters? Why? And what happens if it stops?

10 hours after the strange sound make its first appearance.

Outer Space. Inside of Inside of the space station

"Hey look the sun seems less radiant this time" A male astronaut bumped a co-astronaut forearm while pointing out to the direction of the sun.
"Are you gone crazy? When did the sun ever lost his radiance?" The astronaut that been bumped mockingly said.
"No. Look and observe carefully, The sun seems really began dim"
"Your nuts gone crazy. Hahahaha"
"Don't laugh. I'm serious here, Don't you felt that the temperature in the station become unusually cold compared to the normal"
"Was the heat transportation system gone damage again?" A female voice echoed.
"Annie, you also felt it?"
"Yes I thought it was just misconception, after I heard Bob saying that the sun seems lack of its usual radiance right now I'm sure its was not the heat system has problem but rather the sun"
"Annie! Bob!" Victor was horrified call his colleagues and his eyes almost pop out.
"What the fuss victor?" Annie asked.
"Lo-lo-lo-look at the moon" He stuttering said while pointing in the opposite direction which was the moon that was emitting dark mist.
"Your making too much fuss right now Vi-vi-vic" The two was trying to mock him but before they can finish the word. They were horrified at bone chilling scene.
"What was that!"
"Look! There was something there!" Victor shouted again which wake up the two from their daze.
"Th-ht-that! Isn't that the asteroid Ben-nu?!"
"How did it suddenly appear at the back of the moon?!" The three was startled, sweating profusely.

They were informed at the moment when the Catalina observatory discovered Ben-nu was coming to the earth. All of them was already half foot in the grave and they are ready to face any consequence the moment they fly out in the space but right now the three was afraid.  

Any human being that could see what they are seeing will also be petrified,horrified and scared.

The moon, its own was already a daunting view but right now added by the black mist that enveloping the whole moon and the most creepy part was the asteroid Ben-nu whose appearance like a beating heart.

The sun that usually temperate and dangerous is now slowly fading.
The moon that usually shows his one sided face right now was...

The three look at each other in silence. Bob was the first to regain his wit and said"We need to inform headquarters and prepare for the worst"

Annie was still in frighten state.

Victor muttered to himself but enough for the two to hear "Then the one was flying towards earth was not Ben-nu. Then what was it?"

"You mean one more Ben-nu like thing was coming to earth?"

"No, It's more frightening than Ben-nu"
"The current situation was scary enough. Then Ben-nu was there" Victor analyze pointed in the direction of the moon with his forehead full of sweat.

"Hey guys what are you doing there and you Victor why are you sweating so much." Someone called them

But before the three can response the main system of the ISS sounded.

"Warning! Warning! Warning!" The main computer issued a continuous warning.
"Warning all the equipment had been damaged!"
"War......"

"THIS!" 

"Evacuate immediately! This is order." The telecommunication that connects the ISS and the earth sounded.

"A intense gamma ray may hit the earth in four hours" 

As the six people from ISS boarded in Soyuz-TMA. Bob nervously turned his head to the two and see them nodded. Taking a deep breath he said to the commander "Commander! We saw moon and it waaa"
"What was it Bob? Is it natural for you to see moon right?! stop talking nonsense right now. Prepare yourself we are setting off at 10 minutes!" The commander interrupted him and order everyone to ready to take off. 

"COMMANDER! The moon ..!" 
"BOB!" The commander at him shouted.

When the two saw that Bob was being ignored they hesitate for moment and then Anna said "Commander we saw the moon covered by black mist and asteroid Ben-nu" 

Everyone was startled by the words of Anna. They just taught Bob was making fussed and now seeing the face frighten face of Anna and Victor. If Bob only said that they wouldn't believe it but now the three nodded they we're shocked and frighten.

"What do you mean Anna? Explain it to us"
"5 hours earlier the temperature in the station drop didn't you feel it?"
"Yes we felt it but it was normal for the station to drop and adjust according to its data?"
"No, Look at the Sun" Anna pointed out and continued to explain what they saw and happen early.

"So you mean all this time the asteroid Ben-nu was already in the orbit of Earth and we still oblivious about its existent and the one that was detected by CSS was not Ben-nu?" The commander gasps for breath when he heard the full story. His back was now covered full of sweat even though he was wearing a space suit with its own power cooling working.

"We need to report it to the headquarters Commander!"

"Yes I will make the call now"

"WHAT!" When everyone heard the commander explanation they also have the same reaction.

"Why was this happening?!"Everyone has the same thought in their mind.

Right now they just detected a star that possible to have a star quake and it would affect Magnetar outside the Milky way and the gamma radiation from the affected Magnetar might reach earth. That was why they decided to call back the astronaut because once the gamma radiation hit the earth atmosphere even it just less than 1% it would immobilize all the satellite and technology that was being used here on earth for 3 days while those satellite would permanently become scrap.

"Is this what they called God Will?"

A mysterious phenomenon abruptly appeared.
'What will you do if the earth you know suddenly change without noticed'

Jiang Chen a young man with dark past struggled and tried to free himself from the shackles of being a mortal.

As the end of the world comes, The city becomes a paradise for zombies and monsters, While the wild becomes a shelter for humans.

The heavens raged while the earth trembled..

Hjalmar grabbed her by the hair, lifting her off the ground.

While holding her crown with one hand, the other grabbed the young woman's face, clutching her cheeks.

"This is her, am I right?" he asked.

Dag tried to remain impassive, but from his face the anger he was feeling at the time transpired.

He didn't answer.

"She comes from Earth, like you, my young friend," Hjalmar chuckled. 

"What?!" exclaimed Dag in disbelief.

It was the first time he had encountered a landman under slavery. And how did Hjalmar know he was from Earth?

"Hahahah," Hjalmar chuckled.

Dag grabbed the bars of the cage and waved them forcefully.

One of the nails that held the cage fixed on the ground broke off.

The man next to the King became frightened and stepped back.


"His Majesty, I'm afraid this cage is not strong enough to hold the prisoner" said the man, worried. 

Dag kept watching Hjalmar, full of rage.


The cage had moved, maybe there was some hope. Dag had to wait: he would try to free himself as soon as those men had moved away and he remained alone.

"Don't be afraid. The prisoner won't be freed. His skills won't take effect until he's locked in there" Hjalmar said.

"What?!" thought Dag, impressed by that statement. He would try to use Earth Stomp trying to break through the base of the cage, but now he knew it would be useless.

But how was that possible? How could a simple iron cage prevent him from using his abilities?

Dag couldn't understand why.

Maybe Hjalmar was just lying to discourage him.

Suddenly, the "King Of Bones" left the girl's face.

"Look at that beautiful little body," he said, tucking a hand under the girl's robe, which began to squirm unnecessarily.

Dag began to get angry. 

"What the fuck are you doing? Let her go! She has nothing to do with it!" he yelled.

Hjalmar was doing everything he could to make him as angry as possible, he was doing it on purpose. Dag had to try to keep his composure.

He took a deep breath, pretending not to mind the scene in front of his eyes.

Hjalmar kept beating the girl's body. First her breast, then her underbelly. She could not free herself, the grip on her hair was too strong.

Dag still tried to remain impassive, but he couldn't.

He crossed his arms and tried to use Earth Stomp to break the cage.

Nothing happened.

He checked his arm.

His runes were still all there. 

"But how..." 

"I told you, silly little boy. Your skills have no effect in there" Hjalmar interrupted.

Just as he spoke, a shady figure lunged through the left door.

A hooded man with a curved back entered the room at a slow pace, helping himself with a long stick, at the end of which there were several human and animal skulls.

Hjalmar stopped talking and turned to the hooded man.


"Come on, my trusted advisor, father of all shamans!" he said.

The closer he got to the cage, the more Dag could feel an aura of negativity orbiting around him.

More than just a human being, he seemed like a magical being.

"You won't be able to get out of the cage in a hundred years," the man said, with his high-pitched and hoarse voice.

"That cage is capable of suppressing the strength even of the greatest warriors of Skjold. It's one of my most beautiful creations" he continued, approaching the cage and grabbing one of his bars.

Hjalmar left the girl who fell to the ground terrified and sat on the floor, staring down. 

Dag stepped back.

Focusing on that figure, he noticed that around the man appeared a yellow aura. A similar one, but of a deep red appeared around Hjalmar.

Dag tried to figure out what it was.

It was the effect of Niva!

Days earlier he had tried to learn that skill, but he had not yet succeeded. 

At that moment, he felt like a pinch on his arm: it must've been the rune that was affecting his skin.

Although the cage held back his attacking abilities, perhaps it was different for Niva, being a non-offensive skill.

Dag tried to remember what did he read on the scroll of that skill.

Focusing on the enemy's breath, he would see around him an aura of a certain color, directly proportional to his strength. The visible aura came from the type of air exhaled from the lungs of the opponent in question.

The color scale ranged from blue for enemies with "common" strength level, to green for those with "heroic" strength level, till red for those with "legendary" strength level. 

All the intermediate shades were also covered.

Dag strove to remember all the details of the skill, to better understand what kind of warriors he had in front of him and if he could defeat them.

Judging by the red aura around Hjalmar, it had to be really powerful. 

Alone, he would never be able to beat him.

For the shaman, however, the story was different: he had a yellow aura around him, that was, intermediate between green and red.

He was as strong, yes, but not as strong as his ruler.

As Dag made his remarks, Hjalmar said, "He is Myr, Chieftain of the Renegade Shamans," pointing to the man with the hump. 

"Thank you, my lord. The name of a lesser being like me should not even be pronounced by your noble mouth," the man replied, making a slight bow, slightly leaning against his stick. 

Then he turned to Dag and said, "I know the Clan you're a part of, kid. I know every skill, every trick, and secret. Thanks to the Iss rune I've imprinted on this cage, your Clan's offensive and defensive abilities will have no effect."

"Iss?" said Dag.

"The rune of isolation. Inside your new prison, the bond between you and the Thor God ceases to exist. Without that bond, you can't tap into the source of his power," Myr concluded, chuckling in delight.

Dag was stunned.

Millions of years in the future, the Sun collapsed, and the existence of the human race on Earth was about to end.

Yet, the arrival of the Xis, an omnipotent alien race, saved the human from mass extinction and forced them to live under the surface of the airless, dying planet.

Their act wasn't selfless though. The Xis forced the human race to atone for their sins against the Earth by sending them on a journey to explore their ancient bloodlines.

They created an artificial solar system with a planet for each of the ancient pantheons, and divided the remains of the human race according to their ancestors.

Dag, an earthling kid, is about to undergo the test of his bloodline through an alien machine called "Temporum".

The Temporum would send him to the Viking planet, where he will discover an eerie connection with the ancient Gods and learn to wield part of their power. 

However, he will soon find out that his bloodline hides far more than that...

CHAPTER 1
Rimwald III: Birth

In the year of the Empire 3556, during the reign of the Emperor Argot Anders, the ISS Scrutiny, a planetary survey ship under the command of his son, Prince Cohune Anders was exploring that region of space in the constellation we know as Spica.  Arriving in the Rimwald system, the ship took up a parking orbit around the third planet.  Assuming that the records, which were silent on this system, were simply at fault, the planet was mistaken for one of the lost colonies of the Great War.  The prince led a landing party on planet, and above the objections of his officers; he brought back to the ship a native woman to whom he was attracted.

This region of space had been designated for re-assimilation into the Empire; records indicated that contact was lost some 3200 years earlier during the Great War that culminated in the extinction of the Alteans.  That war had almost extinguished the humanoid races as well and the climb back to the earlier glory of the Anderan Empire had been slow.  

One interesting fact was that no Altean had ever been seen.  Spica had been the outer boundary of that Empire and the first of the human outposts to be lost.  Because of this, no first contact, protocols were instituted since it was assumed that these were members of the general humanoid races.  The fact that the inhabitants were "human" to three decimal places and were inter-fertile with Galactics (the general name that humanoids members of the Anderan Empire were given) did much to convince the Sociologists aboard the ISS Scrutiny that these were indeed descendants of the Empire.  

Unknown to the Galactics was the reality that they were the last remnant of the Altean race.  They had, like other Spicans, been cut off from their mother culture some 3200 years previous.  Although the Altean culture was vastly older than the Anderan one, this war had equally devastated both civilizations. 

In retrospect, it was no surprise that the Prince became enamored of a native of Rimwald III (R3), since they shared similar abilities and sensitivities.  Like the rush of young love all over the galaxy, no thought was given to the future or precautions taken against possible consequences during those first moments of passion.

It was no surprise therefore (at least to older and wiser heads) when the woman became pregnant.  So, when news reached the Capitol, the Emperor ordered Cohune to return to the capital leaving the woman behind and deserting a scion of the royal house.

The woman believing that she had lain with a God from the stars, was unprepared for the response of her villagers when she made that claim.  The villagers took the stories she told of his star ship and the fascinating views of their planet from space as pure madness.  The scorn this brought upon her drove her over the brink of sanity during the eleven-month gestation period characteristic of her race.  Even though Rimwald 3 was barely habitable due to stellar mechanics, as they had been on the planet as colonists for some 125,000 years, the residents of Rimwald 3 had adapted.  

When the child was finally born, his mother's tenuous sanity rendered her quite incapable of caring properly for him.  That is not to say she did not attempt the deed, she had to try.  Her neighbors simply did not want to deal with her or the child.  So it wasn't until something unusual occurred that the village took charge of the child.

A number of unusual events played into the formation of the persona we all know as Aedon Anders Seldran.  His birth planet, his parents particular genetic 'gifts', and his mother's insanity were all powerful influences on his development.

His birth planet was unusual due to its incredibly high background energy.  Those levels made the planet dangerously unsuitable for the standard galactic human.  The planet was of intense interest to an Empire in which energy was the chief medium of economic exchange.  But more important was the fact that humanoids were living there at all.

Standard galactic humanoids could only briefly visit the surface unprotected by Radiation hardened Environment suits.  Long term habitations required shielded quarters.  The price of non-compliance was incompatibility with life-extension treatments, effectively halving the lifespan.  This was a sacrifice no Galactic human would make.  His father was a notable exception to this rule.  The Anders family had a genetic resistance to radiation making them quite unusual in this respect.

His mother's species was unusual due their apparent ability to not only survive, but also thrive in high radiation areas.  In an era where radiation poisoning was the only terminal disease not yet conquered by medical science and anagathic treatments only failures were linked to radiation-induced genetic drift; the medical data on such a species would alone suffice to draw the Empire's intense scrutiny.

His father's 'family gifts' were unusual due both in their rarity and intensity.  The Anders Dynastic scions had always had a facility for detecting truth.  Additionally, the Royal family was universally known to be long-lived and able to survive as many as seven rejuvenation treatments, this ability bespoke a sort of genetic resistance to the normal mutating effect of high radiation fields.
While never directly tested, (Noble families tend to resist research activities directed at their persons) it has been postulated that members of the Royal family and close relativities might have the same radiation resistance that native Rimwaldans exhibit.

Other publications deal with the hypothetical relationships between the Anders family and the Rimwaldans, so we will not deal with that here.  More significant to the story is the interaction of these 'common gifts' with the high-energy field on R3.

The natives appear to be able to handle free energy directly and in various manners.  All of them appear to be able to produce an interference field that tends to impede the progress of both matter and energy through it.  These energy fields are called "WARDS" or "SHIELDS" by the natives.  Depending on their use, they are effective in deterring all but the most massive of the planetary predators. 
 
The forces that resulted in Aedon's birth continued to act on his life.  The natives on Aedon's planet were primitives despite their long history.  Unable to understand the facility they had for energy control for what it was they resorted to calling it wonder-working or simply magic.  Typical of most early civilizations, they developed elaborate procedures to control their abilities and extensively codified modes and methods for accomplishing their intentions.  Those most capable became the Masters and controlled great wealth and influence.  Various sects and societies came into being that pooled knowledge and talent, some utilized special materials to enhance or focus their abilities.  One such group, known as the "Star Smiths," used a number of different chrysalis embedded in their foreheads to amplify and focus their power.

The impact this had on Aedon will be seen shortly.  His innate ability to handle energy and the special gifts of the Royal family combined to make him a truly formidable man.  The historical account of his rise to power is peppered with conjecture and guesswork since some was unknown to even him.  Much of what you will read is recovered data from Aedon's own personal diaries, some small portion is postulated using the best computer models of all the involved personalities, and finally some is shear guesswork.  Our analysis implies that the entire sequence of events is plausible and possesses a 72.3% probability of general accuracy.  The probability of any specific event is much less of course.   Although we are reasonably sure that many of these events DID occur at some point during his life.

Chapter 2
Rimwald III: Flight

Planet: Earth type, heavy gravity, split moon, high background radiation, two dominant races.  The peculiar lunar configuration and the result of a stellar collision, the planet is bathed in an abundance of free energy.  Due to the nature of the indigenous animal life, the survival of the colonists have required an edge beyond mere intelligence.  

The dominant races have achieved great skill in the handling of the free energy.  Even the animals have some rudimentary ability in that field.  Due to the dangerous nature of any energy in abundance, heavy concentration and great care were needed to ensure the desired results.  This type of concentration is difficult and because of that; the mastery of this discipline is limited to the very few.  However, one talent that has become almost universally instinctive is the ability to create highly disturbed fields of energy.  These fields, which tend to both injure and repel the animal life, are called by the natives, wards or shields.  The practitioners of this discipline are called known collectively as wonder-workers and individually as Smiths.  There are several specialized groups practicing various forms of this discipline called Smiths with appropriate prefixes indicative of some focus or specialty.

Aedon's mother, despite her acquired disability did try to exploit Aedon's heritage to his advantage.  She had said something of his father being a king in his own land.  However his mother was quite addled by the time Aedon had reached an age where the things she said made any sense.  Consequently he took everything she said with "a grain of salt."

Shortly after he was born, his mother had somehow managed to implant a Snowsprite chrysalis in his forehead.  Subsequent research has shown that the process is fairly simple.  However vigilant repression by the Star Guild kept this information out of the public eye.  Consequently, when Aedon was but seven years old, the results of this act manifested itself.  Aedon began to exhibit wonder-working abilities.  It was in the exercise of these newfound talents that his path crossed that of a Master Smith of the Star Guild.  His use of the energy field attracted the attention of the Smith, who in keeping with guild policy banished the child from the planet.  This act occurred almost without thought.  No child should have been invested with the star gem, but the fact that the bearer was a child did not deter him, they were all children.  Although his oath prevented him from destroying the child outright, it did not prevent him from addressing the source of the leak.  Since the code required that no Gem-bearer be destroyed in other than direct combat by another wearer of the gem.

In such cases were peasant women managed to procure a gem and embed it properly, the guild simply banished the bearer.  Another unpleasant fact was that he would have to hunt the woman down and kill her.  But such were the demands of the Oath; no one must ever wear the gem without the restraints, which that Oath placed on them.

Synopsis:
Neogenesis is the first of a series of books about the Avatars of Christ in the far-flung future.  This book does not make the connection to Jesus clear in any way however.  It begins with the birth of Aedon Anders on the third planet in the Rimwald (fictitious system) solar system in Spica sector.  
This star is a remnant of a formerly binary system that was comprised of a small red dwarf – brown dwarf pair.  A collision between a wandering planet-sized asteroid and the brown companion resulted in a binary orbital collapse and the twin stars merged.  Though small, the red dwarf was considerably more massive than the brown and as such the collision did not appreciably alter the orbital velocity of the red.  However the added fuel from the brown rejuvenated the red which contracted due to the increased gravity and after some stellar gymnastics settled down into its new life as a main sequence yellow-white F7 class star.  Additionally this collision had significant gravitational consequences.  The more massive star exerted greater force on the surviving planets and other orbital bodies.  Retrospective astronomy shows what is now called Rimwald 3 was the 7th terrestrial planet in this system.  The primary star in this binary system grew to consume the orbits of the inner planets as it aged.  However the merger of  Rimwald-A with Rimwald-B also resulted in a reduction in the new star’s diameter.  This was partly because of the greater core gravity of the new star and partly because of the material ejection caused by the collision.  The net result being that Rimwald 7 found itself both relocated to what is known as the biosphere and renamed to Rimwald 3.  
This ejection of, essentially spent solar fuel, was expelled non-uniformly; creating a region in Rimwald’s solar environment of intense radiation.  This region moved about the new star in its own orbit, Rimwald 3 was right in the midst of it.  The result of all this stellar physics is a planet bathed in a superabundance of electromagnetic energy, a high degree of variation in the local strength of this energy field, and a intense if non uniform radiation flux on a planetary scale.
There was life on Rimwald 3, whether it existed prior to this stellar cataclysm is unknown.  What we know about habitability of planets suggests that Rimwald 7 could have sustained life if it had existed within the biosphere initially.  However what we know about habitability suggests that Rimwald 3 would be habitable only if technological supports were available.  Moreover we know that a colony ship crashed landed on the planet a few thousand years prior to the beginning of the Great War with Altea.  Their descendants still thrive there; and according to their written histories, there was life on the planet when they arrived.

"LAP-MIN"! Prorid exclaimed

Lap-min descends from the skies toward Prorid. 

"Hello, little one. Maybe you can help me". Lap-min asked. "I'm looking for my brother, Braman. 

"Braman? Who iss that"? Prorid asked. 

"Why, he's my brother of course. He's been with you guys all this time". Lap-min said. 

"What? What're you talking about? There'ss no one named Braman with uss". Prorid argued.

Confused, Lap-min approached Prorid and looks at him. 

"Did I choose the wrong person? Impossible! Then how would he know our name"? Lap-min asked himself.

"Tell me, what are the names of the ones you travel with"?

Prorid hesitates but is also confused as to what he's taking about. He jumps back and begins to answer.

"It's Korrin, Dobram, mysself and Lapran, and all four of uss will sstop you". He answered.

"Did you say....Lapran"? Lap-min asked. 

"Yess! This iss hiss home town"! he replied.

Lap-min begins to laugh excruciatingly loud. 

"Little one, my first name was Lapran as well. Amazing! Well, in that case, where is....Lapran"? he asked. 

Confused, Prorid started to run away and tried to lose Lap-min. 

"You can't hide little one. We know this place very well". He said. 

As Prorid's little legs carried him as fast as he could, he slowed down and ducked around a corner. He peeks and sees a dark figure, walking up the streets. 

Melodically he hums. "Cargo, where for art thou? Yes, Braman, where are you, friend"?

Just then, Lap-min stops three feet away from Prorid's hiding spot. 

"Hmmm, if I were to come back to my world, where would I go"? He asked himself. "I don't know. Hey, Prorid, where would you go"? 

As Lap-min looks back at the corner with his blacked out eyes, there's nothing there.  Prorid had already took off running. 

"Funny, I thought I saw him there.  Oh, well. Let us go then". he said continuing his melodical hum. 

"I gotta get away, but where wass that housse again"? Prorid asked himself. 

He hurriedly went through the village looking for anything that looks familiar. Just then, he hears the sound of laughter. 

Excitability he screamed. "THE PUB"! 

He darts toward the pub and begins to make his way back to the house.  

"There it is"! he said. "I finally found the house"! 

As he makes his way to the doorstep, he hears a humming sound. It was Lap-min! He quickly enters the house and closed the door. 

"Prorid, what's wrong? Why are you out of breath"? Korrin asked. 

"It'ss Lap-min! He fell from heaven and found me! He ssaid he knowss thiss place, very well might I add, and iss looking for ssomeone named, Braman"? Lapran said. 

"What? How did he find us"? Korrin asked. 

Although, before he could answer there was a knock on the door. 

Korrin and Prorid stayed quiet hoping that whomever it was would just leave. 

Then another knock...

knock...

knock...

"WHO IS IT AND WHAT DO YOU WANT"? Dobram screamed drunkenly. 

Korrin and Prorid looked at Dobram in shock. Then a voice replies. 

"We were wondering, have you seen this person"? the strange voice said. 

Just then a poster slid under the door with Dobrams face. The two let out a sigh of relief. 

"No we haven't". Prorid replied

"....Now that's a familiar voice". The strange voice replied. 

Just then the door burst open and standing there was Lap-min! 

"Precious...Cargo...". Lap-min said. "I finally fou..." As he looked, he saw Braman's lifeless body just laying on the bed.

"Car...go"? Lap-min said. "CARGOOOO"! he yelled. 

He rams his way into the house and hovers over Lapran. A tear shed from Lapran face and landed on Bramans cheek.
Bramans eyes quivered as he slowly opened them. His sight blurred, he sees Laprans face. 

"Lapran! Is...is that you"? he asked as he reached out. 

"Not exactly, cargo". Lap-min said. 

Just then Cormins face appears next to Lapran forcing Braman to jump up on the bed, but Lap-min pins him back down to the bed. Korrin and Prorid begin to attack Lap-min trying to free Lapran. 

"Let him go"! Korrin said as he clawed at Lap-mins back. 

"Hey, can you guys keep it down please? I'm feeling sick". Dobram asked. 

As he opened his eyes he sees Korrin and Prorid fighting what looks like three Lap-mins! 

"What's going on"? he asked. 

He begins to stand on his feet and begins to attack. He jumps on Lap-mins back and weakly punch. Just then, a nauseous feeling overcame him. The same feeling from last time. He was about to vomit. As the vomit was about to escape, he felt something else. As if there was a  swelling inside of him about to explode. 

"I feel...feel..". he thought.

He opened his mouth and floods of water came projecting from his mouth at a strong force pushing Lap-min into the wall and out the house. 

"What was that"? Korrin asked.

"I don't know. I just felt it inside". Dobram replied. 

The four heroes get up and start to head out. 

"What happened"? Lapran asked. 

"You passed out and have been sleep for about fifteen hours". Korrin replied. 

They make it to a safe house and gather themselves. 

Exhausted Prorid says. "Sso, who'ss Braman"?

Lapran looks up in shock. 

"Lap-min ssaid he'ss looking for hiss brother and friend and hiss name iss Braman. He ssaid he'ss been traveling with uss from the beginning". 

As Prorid continued, they learned Lap-mins real name and that this was also his hometown. With this knowledge, they looked at Lapran wondering if he knew anything. 

"...yes. I know, everything". he said. " Lap-min is really my brother and friend. Lapran...and Cormin. My real name is Braman. I adopted Lapran because..". he paused. " I don't know why. I figured, if I had the Kings son name, he would find me faster, but apparently that didn't work". 

As he continued the story, the other heroes just listened. 

"Well, seeing as your father is a legend, how about we go and visit him then"? Korrin suggested.

"YEAH"! Dobram screamed. "Let's go...first thing when the sun breaks.". 

As Dobram passes back out, and Lap-min mysteriously disappearing, our heroes try to sleep and prepare for the battles ahead.  

Meanwhile...

"We could've stopped him right there. Why'd we stop"? Lap-min asked

"It's because you still have feelings for your brother and friend". The three voices giggled and answered

"No,  that can't be it".

"Whatever has happened, fix it! CLOS is not happy with your performance. Either end them, or he'll end you"!

Four Worlds, Four Heroes, One Mission. Join Lapran, Korrin, Dobram, and Prorid as they adventure out to find the true disturbance of their home world. Will they be able to set aside their differences in order to attain true Peace? Or will they be driven apart because of their cultural upbringings. 
The four heroes must overcome obstacles that will test patience, pride and also their strengths as well as fight to obtain the one thing that will keep the world's at peace.  The statue of Kor bid.

Harry walked the dark paths and tunnels and along the way had to leave Natasha when they faced one of the more dangerous trials. Harry then happened to come to the room where the mirror of Erised is moved into. 

A silhouette of a turban wearing person was standing in front of the antique magical mirror motionlessly. As if he noticed that there is someone behind him, the man looked back. 

"Y... You?... It can't be! Snape, he is the -"

"Yes... Does seem the type does he? Next to him, who would suspect papapapapoor stuttering professor Quirell? Now... What does this mirror do?" 

Quirellmort must not have been expecting to get caught as he talked leisurely with Harry answering all of his questions before turning around to face the mirror. 

"I see what I desire. I see myself holding the stone.

But how do I get it!?" 

Quirell acted like a complete newby as he simply stood doing nothing worthy enough to warrant awe from an adult wizard such as himself. There is anger and confusion in his voice as he watched himself in the mirror. 

"Usssse the boy." 

A weird voice echoed around the hall seemingly out of nowhere which shocked the poor eleven year old boy. 


"Come here Potter! Now!"

Harry walked forward slowly and passed by professor Quirell facing the mirror.

"Tell me... What do you see?"

Harry looked into the mirror of Erised and saw his reflection taking out a red gem which should be the sorcerer's stone from his pocket, wink then smiled and then put it back into his pocket.

Harry's eyes widened in shock as he tried to keep his calm to secretly check his pocket by touching it. 

"What is it? What do you see!?" 

Quirell, now sounded impatient as he asked the question. 

"I'm shaking hands with Dumbledore. A... I've won the house cup." 

"He liessss." the voice echoed once again. 

"Tell the truth!!! What do you see!!?" 

"Let me sssspeak to him." 

"Master you are not strong enough..." 

Quirell moved towards the mirror's location and tried to dissuade the voice from speaking to Harry. 

"I have ssstrength enough for thisss." 

Quirell did not argue and servily removed the turban from his head. Harry waiting for a chance to run looked around and saw the horrible face at the back of professor Quirell's head. 

"Harry Potter. We meet again." 

"Voldemort!?" 

"Yesss. You sssee what I've become. Sssee what I must do to ssurvive. To live off of another, a mere parasite! Unicorn blood can sustain me, but it cannot give me a body of my own. But there is something that can. Something that conviniently enough, LIES IN YOUR POCKET!!"

Quirellmort must have picked up his surface thoughts and found out that he already had the stone in his pocket. Harry ran out at this time.

"Sstop him!!!"

*snap*

A single snap sealed Harry's exit leaving him like a fish in a chopping board for Quirellmort.

"Don't be a fool. Why sssuffer a horiffic death? When you can join me and live." to which Harry immediately answered with "Never."

Voldemort snickered. 

"hahahahaha Bravery. Your parentss had it too. Tell me. Harry, would you like to sssee your mother and father again?

Together, we can bring them back. All I assk, iss for ssomething in return."

Harry took out the stone from inside his pocket.

"Yesss. That'ss it Harry. There iss no good and evil. There iss only power, and thosse too weak to sseek it! Together, we'll do exssstraordinary thingsss, just Give me the SSTONE!"

"You LIAR!!!"

Harry shouted from his position. 

"Kill him!!!"

Came Voldemort's response. Quirell flew towards Harry who was unable to dodge and so Quirell managed to grab his neck to suffocate him.

"Aaaaackkk"

Harry tried to reach out for the stone which fell from his hand but was unable to reach it as he was about to lose air in his lungs and is feeling faint. In his attempt to free himself, he grabbed Quirellmort's wrist which garnered a very unusual reaction.

Quirellmort's wrist produced smoke and turned to stone. Quirell backed off now afraid and confused. Harry looked down on his hands also shocked, he soon realised how he had the advantage in this fight and discovered the way out of this trouble. He looked at the panicking Quirell whose whole hand had already turned to collapsing ash-like dirt.

"What magic is this?" 

Quirell muttered like he was about to go burst into tears from the fear of death.

"Fool. Get the stone!!!"

Voldemort spoke with disappointment and anger. Harry hearing it stood up and resolved himself to fight back with renewed courage as he tackled Quirellmort and touched his face which also immediately became collapsing dirt. 

Harry stepped back and again wondered about what was so special about his hands before watching Quirellmort slowly falling to the floor with only his ash-dirt and clothes to remain. Harry then looked down to look for the stone which he quickly took into his own hands.

Unknown to him is the mass of smoke-like thing congregating behind him, who phased through him with a ghostly scream when he looked back effectively knocking Harry out. The ghostly figure freely rushed out thereafter to God knows where.

Silver grey fog covered the entire world and then Dumbledore could be seen sitting beside Harry in his hospital bed with a blank look in his now pupil-less eyes. When the color of his eyes returned he immediately stood up and left the place.

'So that is what happened?'

Harry regained consciousness two days later. 

"Good afternoon Harry."

Dumbledore walked past the wide door and inside the patient recovery room.

"Ahh... Tokens from your admirers?

Dumbledore stood looking over the get well tokens in Harry's bedside table. 

"Admirers!?"

Harry asked confusedly.

"What happened down the dungeon between you and professor Quirell is a complete secret. Sooo, naturally, the whole school knows.

Ahh.. I see that your friend, miss Romanovich have saved you the trouble of opening your chocolate vault-."

"Natasha was here? Is she alright? Where is - "

"Fine... She's just fine."

There a slight pause to their conversation. 

"But what happened to the stone?"

"Relax dear boy. The stone has been destroyed after Nicholas and I have a little chat and agreed that it's best without."

"But without it he would die wouldn't he?"

Nobody wanted to die after all. 

"He has enough elixir to set his affairs in order. But yes. He will die."

"How is it that I got the stone sir? One minute I was standing-"

"Ahh... You see. Only a person who wanted to find the stone, find it, but not use it will be able to get it. That is one of my more brilliant ideas, and between you and me that is saying something."

Harry had a thoughtful look in his face. 

"Does that mean, with the stone being gone that is, that voldemort can never come back?"

"Ahh I'm afraid, there are ways in which he can return...

Harry, do you know why professor Quirell couldn't bear to have you touch him?"

Harry simply shook his head.

"It was because of your mother. She sacrificed herself for you... and that kind of act leaves a mark...

Harry thinking that the mark was the one on his forehead lifted his hand towards it.

"No. no. This kind of mark could not be seen. It lives in your very skin.."

"What is it?"

"Love Harry. Love..." Dumbledore stood up patting Harry's head before turning around. 

"Ahh!!! Bettybot's every flavored beans! I was most unfortunate in my youth to come across a vomit flavored one. It is then I'm afraid that I lost my liking for them. But I think it should be safe with a little tuffie. Hmmm! alas! Earwax." 

'Ahhh he finally left!' 

Harry flopped back to the bed with his eyes closed.

I was born knowing the future of this world. How can I ever fail?
