Hindi akalain ni Abby na mabilis na masusulusyonan ang problema nya sa pera nang matanggap sya bilang yaya ng anak ni Daniel De Marco. Isang umaga kasi ay nagising syang tanging kumot lang ang suot habang katabi sa kama ang gwapo, macho pero nuknukan naman ng sungit nyang amo who  was naked as the day he was born! 

Daniel thought his son's nanny was nothing more but a pretty face. He thought wrong, nalaman nyang maliban sa maamong mukha ay tuso at mukhang pera rin ito. Katibayan ang perang sinisingil nito sa kanya kapalit ng pagsesante nya dito. He offered to marry her instead and tripled the money she was asking him. He was
thinking he has everything to gain and nothing to lose. Pero paano kung makialam ang pakialamerang puso?

If I was to resurrect the dead

Varsas almost chokes on his own spit the moment he saw the title. That book isn't supposed to be here, in the Gungnir's territory.

Lufa was curious. It's a book that can garner such attention as to be banned. At the same time it was a book that she did not know about even with her future vision so it may have not been that important. She asked Varsas about it after his slip in persona since he seems to know about it.

"What is this book?"

Varsas looks at her in a daze before gathering his thoughts. He speaks clearly and carefully with the butler in the room.

"It's a book from the Lanton empire. Currently our neighbors are at war with them, even though my father claim neutrality, we are still providing supplies to the war effort with trading. A portion of our populations are also from or have ties with the other kingdom so it is to be expected that a book from there would not be well received."

The little girl in the guise of a servant give him a look that says that is not what she meant. Both of them know of the event of the future, he is from the future in fact and seems to know about it, Varsas gives her a warning glance looking at the butler in the room, yet she looks at him as if saying he knows full well that both of them could have dealt with that easily.

Not knowing the full exchange between the young master of the house and the powerful being from Lan Sphere, the butler chooses that moment to cut in.

"It is also a heretical book." He says angrily.

For a moment Varsas remember the origin of the word heretical. There used to be religion, however for one reason or another, the ancestor of the various nations have abandoned it all together, at this moment, nothing is truly heretical anymore. It is just cultural inertia for the meaning of the word, people has forgotten what that word really means.

But it was not the wrong usage of word that causes Varsas to cut in. Using the choice of word the man had used, he says

"And what part of it is heretical?" It was a simple question, though Lufa caught up on it and looks at him questionably.

"Perhaps it is because of the necromancy content?" She asks.

"There is not a single mention of necromancy magic in this book." Varsas returns.

"Aye, but it involves raising the dead using the science of the Lanton empire." The butler explains.

There is not a single mention of necromancy magic in the book, true, at the same time the book went on about how the author of the book, as a man utilizing the technology of the Lanton empire would go about resurrecting the dead with those technology. It is the first book of a trilogy, and for the opening book, it details the preparation of the human bodies and the process involved...

The numbers and actual method was fiddle with of course, however scholars and scientist from both the Lanton empire and other nation agree that it was plausible and the man writing the book has a detailed understanding of the human body as well as extensive knowledge in technology.

What is less mentioned of course is that the method used in the book was uncomfortably similar to the event that turned the world against the Lanton empire years ago.

The rule of nature is against raising the dead, the author explained. Necromantic magic has a reputation of being dark and taboo, not because the user was dark per se, it is just that a "successful" necromancy ritual always result in something going wrong. The reanimation of the body is easy. The binding of departing soul into those bodies can be done.

It is just that always, seemingly without fail, those souls would be twisted beyond anything. The one who was brought back would always go mad or has a really questionable personality, a perversion of that person's actual personality when they were alive.

It is as if magic itself was against the resurrection of the dead.

And that is why the author argued that if magic was against the resurrection of the dead, remove magic from the equation all together, in fact, one has to isolate actual magic from the proceeding if one was to resurrected the death.

Yet one problem with that would be it is hard to actually do something like that without magic, there are no precedent about resurrection without magic.

That is where the technology of the Lanton empire comes in. In recent years with the advancement of knowledge about the human body and how it function in the Lanton empire, it was possible to do something that is akin to magic, using technology.

The problem was the details in the book was uncomfortably similar to the human chimeraic experiment that turned the world against the Lanton years ago.

"Did that person actually resurrect the dead?" Lufa says with wonder and intrigue. Such a fascinating thing yet it never comes to her knowledge. The human world is really fun, Lufa decided.

"It is only the first book of the trilogy. That say the title is 'If I were to resurrect the dead'." Varsas emphasizes that.

"The various respected person says that thing is propaganda from the Lanton empire and should not be distributed. It is rumored that that thing seduced many a scholar from their home and made them leave for the Lanton empire." The butler says in hushed whisper, switching to gossiping mode.

Lufa glances at Varsas, if that book can seduce the reader and make them leave their home, what about Varsas reading it? However at the moment, he is not reading it, he just glances at the cover in deep thought. In the first place, he did not have any intention whatsoever to read it. He is more interested in the unfolding situation, that is getting a bit out of hand.

It confound Lufa even more, she can't see what that guy is thinking whatsoever, despite both having the knowledge of the future.

Varsas Gungnir was known as the hero who ended the war, but then he died, bleeding out on the street. He woke up again, 10 years in the past. He has decided to do... nothing

Hello everyone. I hoped you all liked my beginning ideas in this story. To be honest, I have a bigger project that includes a lot more lore. This was still fun to write, but sadly, not going to actually be my story. My other stories I was writing also included some of my ideas for the story I wish to write. I was also going to throw a few more fanfiction ideas in the mix, but I'm quickly running through ideas and I don't want to start another story I will not finish. Now, not too far in the future, I plan to start this story, and I'll post it on here for awhile until I have enough content for my actual book to be published. In the modern world where life was easily prolonged, the life of a king was the norm, and just following the system was enough to make anyone successful.

That is the current world we live in, and a boy was bored with it.

Not just him but many have the tendency at one point of life where they would get bored of it. It either may be too hard or easy for them.

Time by time, a challenge obstructs their flow of life. This may give color to their life but the opposite can still be true otherwise.

It's complicated, but what's not when dissected? People tend to look at things in general, making it seem simple.

Now back to the boy, his name is Cass and he is also bored with life like some. However, he has a unique reason why: he was too talented. 

He can pick up anything and learn it with ease. Cass is a prodigy at anything. Even in love, he has lust and needs of course, but girls will always give themselves to him as if they were cheap, this greatly turned him off.

He's charismatic, humble, and quiet. Although his looks are not on the level of a model it's enough to make any girl fall for him with his capability.

At seven years old, he already learned how to be calm and decisive, he chose to improve himself since he understood the importance of many things at a young age.

In different fields, he excelled at them. Nothing really made his life hard.

At the age of nine, he already got his first fangirl. Her name was Felicia and she would follow him everywhere, regardless of time, location, and occasion. 

But Cass would get angry at her when she takes it to the extreme, such as: following Cass to the restroom or watching him sleep, so even with her obsessiveness, she restrained herself.

And so, by the age of nine, he already got his first stalker…

When he reached thirteen, he could literally take care of himself. He can make money as easy as picking sand at a beach. Cass became independent from his parents but he really never sought riches so he took his job casually and invested here and there where he knew will be successful.

And finally, four years later, at the present time, he became humble not because he is kind but he doesn't want much attention.

His only friend was his "childhood friend", Felicia, who is, for your information, a super-rich girl. A real-life princess who gets everything she wants, everything except Cass.

However, there is one thing Cass consider a bother, being low-key wasn't looking well for him.

He was already placed on the news in his childhood a few times even without him showing live.

Even Cass couldn't control the word that got out. When the students found out they have a "celebrity" in their school who never once flaunts and lives a humble life, they already regard him as an idol.

Cass was greatly recognized by many, making him popular. They realized how quiet he is despite his capability. The girls started to notice him and easily fall for a guy like him.

As a result:

Ding ding ding*

"Cass!", by the end of the first day of being a freshman in the Grelan Academic Facility which was a home for gifted people, and also rich kids, Felicia slammed the door open to see Cass sleeping by the window.

The soft sunlight from the burrowing sun enveloped Cass's gentle figure as he slept.

Felicia held both her cheeks and wiggled as she walked, screaming in her head, 'Kyaaaahh!!!'

But after looking at Cass's sleeping face for almost five minutes, she remembered that she had something important to say.

'But should I wake him up?', Felicia doesn't want to disturb her sleeping prince.

She shook her head, "But I am a princess, I shouldn't disturb a gentleman.", she flickered her long eyebrows, looking like a fair maiden, "My only gentleman.", but soon, she disturbed the gentle scene by her eyes shining and becoming like a hungry lion:

She then jumped aggressively, "My only chance to touch him wherever I want!", disregarding all the princess-stuff.

But she was unsuccessful as her face was blocked by a palm.

"…. touch who wherever you want???", Cass woke up with his hair combed by his fingers, making him stunningly delicious and stunningly stunning!

Felicia gulped and answered, "You, of course, I would die before I plan to touch anyone else other than you.", as if her answer was proof of innocence.

The hand that was fixing his bit-messy hair became a tool to face slap himself as he sighed, ".. you don't need to answer that in a complete sentence… and please, deny it instead of answering in the first place."

"Why would I?", Felicia held Cass' hands, "But more importantly, I have something important to tell you that is important!"

"What?", Cass ignored his hand being held as if he doesn't care anymore and was inured to the princess' whimsical behavior.

"Cass, I…", Felicia greatly blushed with her cheeks burning in red, "I want you to be mine…"

A whisper that could take any man's heart in a matter of a moment.

The wind blows as spring began between these two unordinary youngsters. The story begins with romance and it ends with romance as it seems. Although many hardships will come through, these two lovers may find peace, comfort, and love with each other. They will live a merry one with their merry family with no less than twenty children living in a rural and hidden area where nobody could disturb them.

"No.", Cass strongly said while massaging his own forehead, "… and stop creating stories in your head for the twelfth time…"

Felicia pouted and shook her head in denial, "That is the future, not a story I just made up!"

"….."

The princess just smiled in confidence before changing the topic:

"And why are you sleeping in class?", Felicia wrinkled her forehead.

By then Cass showed a soft smile and his tone changed, a little.

"School is useless for me and so, I use the time to sleep to regain my energy to read."

"Then why go to school?", Felicia murmured a comment.

"After all that, it is still better than back at home."

"The last time, you said it was because the cafeteria's meals were too delicious to be ignored?", Felicia made a suspicious look.

"No, I said it was because of the free food. I am not going to waste my scholarship.", Cass smirked.

"Ohhh, the thinking of a genius. When will I ever understand you?", Felicia tried to hug Cass as if it was normal in the flow of the conversation.

But Cass stood.

But Felicia still hugged him.

But Cass… ignored it and took his backpack and a pocketbook within it.

As he exited his classroom like a tree with a persistent koala, he walked through a wide and luxurious hall unbefitting of a school but a castle.

Cass didn't complain since he knew it would be pointless and Felicia's weight was practically nothing for him.

He even felt his clothes were being bitten from time to time. Which is weird but in Felicia's defense, she couldn't help herself.

They've been together for almost eight years and the fact that they are not officially a couple or a couple at all, is definitely a weird one.

Both were weird, one that is madly in love to another that stayed resilient for eight years even after being rejected every day, and the second who is also weird if not weirder, he who can stay adamant on rejecting every man's dream girl as if it was nothing for eight years!

Both of them knew that Cass is not interested in the same sex or is turned off by Felicia. The reason for the status quo is a bit strange and complicated.

The koala popped her head out to see the serious Cass who was reading.

She asked, "So that's the book you saved energy for?"

Cass simply nodded, immersed in the book.

"Is it really better than me?"

Cass disregarded the baseless and illogical complaint.

"This is a new book I recently got in an underrated shop."

"Underrated shop… you mean Sel's Bookstore?", Felicia smiled.

Cass looked at her with suspecting eyes, "Sometimes I don't know how you were able to follow me without me knowing."

Felicia dropped down from Cass since she was getting tired from hugging. She even wiped her sweat with Cass's clothes which made her received a pinched on her cheek.

"So you went to some small store because you already read all the books in the school library?", Felicia couldn't believe her own words since the Grelan's Library has almost all the books in the country.

"Yeah, fantasy books and I am extremely choosy. There are just a few books in the library that suited my taste.", Cass smirked.

"Extremely choosy but I know you bought three books from that store.", Felicia shook her head.

"It's a trilogy…", Cass explained nonchalantly.

"What's the story about?"

"It's called The Holy Queen and it has a pretty interesting premise."

Because of the size of the school, both Cass and Felicia just reached the school gate after a quarter of an hour.

"There was once a pure girl who was chosen by the Gods to become the one who guided the people into heaven. She became the Holy Queen of the strongest kingdom and there she waits for her adulthood to officially take the role of the Holy Queen."

"…hmmm.."

"What?"

"So what's the problem of the story?"

Cass looked at the back of the book's cover and continued, "I don't know but maybe because of demons."

"… of course, demons…", Felicia nodded.

Cass sighed, he too didn't know what caught his interest in this book for him to buy the whole trilogy.

"Currently, the Holy Queen sets out her men to find the hidden demons all over her kingdom. There is one guard who was caught…."

"And?", Felicia was interested only because of Cass not in the book.

"The next page is bl-", before Cass finished his sentence, a bright light swallowed his vision unwarned.

Cass traveled unknowingly through something the mind of a human cannot fathom. His emotions whirled and his mind was on the brink of madness. It is clear that this was not suitable for a human.

But the "travel" did not take long as Cass regained back his senses feel heat surrounding his.

Sweat uncomfortable pouring all over his body. The smooth wind that comes with little things that irritate his skin. Fatigue pierced his whole body, especially on the leg.

Then his sense of hearing came back as he heard multiple footsteps on sand, heavy footsteps.

"This demon might have a trick up his sleeve. Demons don't surrender quietly."

A hoarse voice came to him and finally, his sense of sight came back. 

There he saw were metal bars that imprisoned him and behind that was the vast land of sand.

A horse neighed in front of him that took his attention.

"The Holy Queen will never be wrong that this man is a demon."

A Holy Queen, revered by the lands and one with the Heavens met the only obstacle in her life.

A great plain stretched out of sight.
It encompassed the whole of creation.
An indistinct light floated around watching over Gary.
"It walks upon the grass, and looks to the sky. It wonders of its worries, its wealth, its whimsy."
The grass made a soft crunching noise, as Gary slowly approached the table that was just sitting there out in the open.
"It takes the cup from the table and swallows ambrosia."
Black vomit covered the grass. Creation was covered in vomit.
"It's bitter. It lacks flavor. It always does."
Gary rips out the grass, and shoves dirt in his mouth.
"Now that will surely satisfy it."

Gary wakes up in the room that was provided for him. He had a strange dream, but didn't have time to reflect on it. If he was going to be stuck in this little village he needed to make himself useful. As he was now he could at most haul things back and forth. He was sure to enjoy his time laboring physically, but did not want it to be the rest of his newfound lifespan. His ambition demanded that of him.
He meditated, and attempted to cultivate.
He couldn't.
The mana in the air avoided him like the plague. He couldn't even replenish his reserves. He would have to rely on the bits, and pieces his soul produced for him.
Gary had been cut off from cultivation. He'd been rejected by the heavens. As always, those above cannot allow anything that is even remotely a threat to exist.
He made his way to the force field protecting the village. There was a whole camp of void tunnelers waiting for him out there. Once or twice they would poke at the barrier to no avail.
He was safe for now, but there was no telling how long that would last.
He went and asked the creepy old man what he could do to help out. With his cultivation stagnating at the Young Master realm, and no money to his name, as he'd left everything but the True Self stage skill book, and smut trilogy, back on subardos, he would need to find some way to feed himself. He couldn't depend on charity forever, as their patience would likely wear thin.
Gary was right. He really was only good for hauling things back and forth.
He was assigned to help carry bricks around for the village. They'd faced a recent influx of refugees, and needed to build more homes. The surrounding void tunnelers had apparently rendered most of the region inhospitable.
Gary had returned to his lackluster, lowly life. Right where he belongs.

Gary is dead, but now he's alive again. Gary hopes that this new life will treat him nicely. Oh Gary, how naive.

the time i go home i start to think if she will accept, i was a little greedy, but they have no choice on turning down, THEY want to test me against Kiba, i could have wait after Raynare, 
i need to think where i can have my reward can't ask Akeno to strip in a little bedroom also my parents can enter that would be ankward, with all the money i have i might as well buy a house near highschool or ask Rias to ask Sirzech later once i'm a devil, but  I would have to wait, and i really don't want to wait so buying a house it is.

« Miriam how can i use all my money i can't just go to the bank with 1Million yen and say i want to put this money on my bank acount they will ask me how did i get the money, Even if you told me when i was little that i could use all it is useless » 

«....Ding.... I'm sorry master you can't i haven't thought about that and  neither the god »

« i need to find a way, shi*.. i wasn't planning to find a job but thank to you i have one, tailored to me, writer, i can find anything on the shop you said it Miriam  even thing like book from my all world »

« ….Ding....yes Master,you can find anything but they are more pricey and it will be directly send to your brain, but be carefull you don't have drawing skill for manga so only writer. You will have to type it on computer but with you dexterity i think in one night you can write one or two book that will be easy for you, it is just a little setback your like cant go how you always want you will have troubled time. »

Thank you Miriam you are right it is only a small set back i will cash out the reward later in a month or two at the end i have to waitt i cry to myself, as for book  i want to « write » it will be a good gift for Akeno, she will love it .
 Miriam i want to buy the trilogy fifty shade of grey remove the price from the Xp i have a lot anyway, Miriam can i bring a computer (laptop) on my pocket dimension there are no monster on the floor 0.

A slight pain goes through my brain, i start writing inside my space for 8 hours straight, as Miriam told me i could write really quickly, in one night i could write one book
at the end of the week i will go to a publishing house it would need at least a month before they start making the book, and after that it wold need 2-3 month before the first income worse case scenario.
 Let's eat with my family it is 8pm diner should be done soon.  

« Father, mother i want to tell you that i have started writing a book since a long time and at the end of the week i will go to a publishing house to try my luck, right now i did not really want to speak about the book because of the story once it's on the market it will not affect me anymore and i don't plan to hide my name i don't really care about what people think about me,  my parent are happy for me and said to try it, my father ask if he could go with me to the publishing but i turn him down »

after a good diner, i went to my room to  write a little before bedtime,

Like always school is boring, at the end of the day i have Akeno, coming to me to say that she accept the deal so now i will go home  to take my zanpakuto and come back, we gave a appontement at 19h just to be sure, 
when i come back to school i happen to see Akeno and Rias waiting for me, i have my weapon strap to my back but, i went to an alley to use inventory just before entering school ground again, they look at my back to see the sword strap,

we arrive at the back of the ORC bulding, Kiba was already on position with a black sword
there was Koneko, Sona sitri and ,Tsubaki they are both beautifull i would not mind taking Sona for myself, i don't really like Tsubaki, but since she is in love with Sona i will be able to do some lez play, there is no way i will let saiji  have Sona,

They come to me to introduce themselves, they are here to be sure there will be  wounded, it is strange to me because with real sword there will be wound, sprain blood, flesh wound to name a few, go to Kiba and shake his hand.

« hello again Issei, i will not go easy on you but we only spar so no killing blow or heavy injuries »
 
i took my zanpakuto out and lift it, i use it as a 2 handed sword

 i will crush him gently he will have no physical wound but i have to show some strength like the god said all those years ago girls like strong people Kiba is the perfect victime even if i like him, 
 i run to him and made a slach near is left shoulder ,  i would be this fast was totally unexpected for him, he react in time to parry the sword but slide on the ground like five steps,he regain his balance and spoke to me 

«  you are fast i was not expecting this you caught me offgard and your strike are quiet strong »

i waited for him to attack to see how strong he is, Kiba  disapear and reappear  behind me it was so slow for me i had all the time in the world to defend myself , but i atttck the moment he reappear i was already slashing at his head, he did well parrying my sword but not fast enough i  reappear behind him to make him faint but he could deflect the back of my sword
we exchange blow for  four minutes he can't break my defense, he looked at Rias, she nods hear head.

Qing Shu rolled her eyes. Sometimes this author of hers overreacted way too much. The powerpoint wasn't even reserved for her.

"This isn't for you. This is for a meeting later that the board has arranged, which by the way, you're a part of." 

Jiao Li sat down on the swivel chair and leaned back. "I wasn't informed about the meeting." 

"When have you ever been informed?" 

Jiao Li's mouth parted in reply but no response came out. In the end, she only nodded in reply. "Okay, that's true."

Although she can be considered a veteran in the industry with a decade of experience, beause she had only published her book in the recent years, the majority of their fellow workers still considered her a newbie, except for some close friends and the board. 

In this day and age, where e-literature has already made a big impact on society, the amount of books being bought lessened and young, aspiring authors would always find it hard to sell a bestseller.

Which is why Jiao Li can be considered a great author with the rate at which her books sells. Qing Shu would always have to reprimand her to pay way more attention than she should because of hr status. 

While she may be considered a newbie, insiders would think otherwise.

"So, here's our agenda today. I've already printed out your schedule and deadlines for your new book and the event." Qing Shu spoke as she pulled out a thick binder from her bag.

Jiao Li frowned. "So thick?" 

"Don't complain. You've been out for a week, it's only expected that your schedule is going to be packed." 

She inwardly cried. Her absence from work had turned to bite her back in the butt. It would take a while to adjust to her new schedule.


"Oh and," Qing Shu said as she pulled out her phone. "You have to go and meet the host for the event." 

Jiao Li looked confused. "There's a host for this kind of thing?" 

Qing Shu shook her head. "It's because I planned to overlap it with an art exhibition on the same day." 

"You'll be planning the layout of the place with the host and the designs. Don't worry, the company will shoulder the costs. It's the least they can do." 

"But wouldn't that be a bother? I mean, aren't art exhibitions supposed to be super fancy and for the rich? Besides, the theme of the art exhibition and my book might clash." 

In truth, Jiao Li had absolutely no problems with the event itself, but the date. She had to find something that can be a viable excuse to push back the event. 

Qing Shu shook her head and gave her a pointed look. "Don't think I don't know what you're doing. And i'll tell you now, it's not going to work." 

Jiao Li drooped her head. "Damn…." 

"Don't complain. Now go home and read over the schedule. The meeting is tomorrow afternoon so be sure to be on time." 

Qing Shu pushed Jiao Li out of the room and slammed the door behind her.

Jiao Li pouted and clutched the thick binder in her arms.

"This is going to be a long week."

Inside Changdong Museum.

The entirety of the inside of the building had been covered in plastic with wooden boxes and tape. The paint had been redone to match the exhibition's theme and the lights were swapped out to accentuate the centerpieces.

In the midst of the construction, a tall man with a lean stature held a small blueprint in hand followed by another man who kept blabbering on as he analyzed where the pieces should go.

"Why did you drag me here again? I'm supposed to be working," Chen Mo whined as he childishly stomped his feet.

Yi Ru stopped in his tracks and turned to look at the childish man whom he's been friends with for almost a decade. He then gave him a pointed look.

"Who owes me a favor?" 

They locked gazes for a few seconds before Chen Mo looked away. 

"I do," he grumbles.

"And what does that mean?" 

"I have to follow your orders..." 

Chen Mo sighed in frustration. His wife was going to kill him if she ever found out that she skipped work. Again. 

He would have nowhere to go home to. To seek refuge. Even his own family might not help him. A job such as an engineer invested a lot of time and effort, and he himself was currently in peril over the two.

Not only is he being forced to skip the work he equally loves so much, but he also has to face the wolf's sharp fangs and intense gaze that made him shudder in submission.

Meanwhile, Yi Ru let out a small smile. 

It hasn't even been a month since he came back. And yet he was already so busy with setting up the exhibition. Everything had to be perfect! 

He had already miraculously persuaded the publishing company to have one of their authors, which happens to be the one he's looking for, and manage to host both their events on the same day.

He had prepared for this moment ever since he read her first book, which wasn't even registered under the same name, online in a website he used to read novels in. The only reason he had managed to deduce that the author of that book online and the trilogy was their use of the word, sunflower.

It had been a key point in all of the books and always referenced it with the main character, albeit very subtle. So subtle that even her own dedicated fans might not notice the minuscule amount of attention to details.

"Go check out the painters to see if they can finish the walls by tomorrow," Yi Ru waved him away as he continued down the room where a larger space with two walls in the middle had been placed.

Two large centerpieces had been decided to go there. With both having the sunflower as a prevailing piece.

He had wanted to make it perfectly match the story in a way that could capture the emotions and feelings the author had wanted to display to the characters.

It was one way of his to say thank you to the wonderful author who wrote the book.

As he began to imagine meeting the very same person who inspired this exhibit, Yi Ru's smile unconsciously grew wider as his eyes crinkled with delight.

Jiang Shan prefers to be left alone, leaving her with fewer friends than her peers.

After starting senior year, she is determined to spend her days at home to think about her plans for the future.

The strained relationship with her family, her unstable mental health, a complicated relationship with a boy, playing her part in the student council, and studying for the coming entrance exams.

She didn't know what had happened to him, but Dum had shown up drenched in blood and ragged clothes. Then he said this to her as if it wasn't a big deal.

In the middle of the night, when Dee and Dum had taken turns coming out, she didn't have much of a reaction to it. Because she had already known that the two of them were one, she thought this was a natural occurrence. She had passed this moment without much thought. Only after a few seconds did she realize what this meant.

When Alice had healed Dee's wounds, Twins felt a sense of motherly love that they had never felt before. On top of that, Alice was weak, unlike their mother, and so was unable to show any sign of violence toward them. Like the way you would get soaked eventually from a light shower, their attraction to Alice was enhanced when they found out that she knew that they were two people in one body. 

If she had remembered that one second earlier, she would have stopped herself from uttering these words, SoYoon thought as she looked at the smiling Twins.

"I like you."

The simple three words dragged her into reality. No longer having anywhere to run to, she slowly lowered her eyes.

Now, there was nowhere here that resembled the world of Wonderland.

Starting from that day, Twins treated her completely differently. Once they figured out their confused emotions, they realized their feelings were not motherly. They wanted to touch her because they liked her; they were scared of her dying because they liked her. Dee concluded this instinctively; Dum, through book learning. 

The day Twins confessed to her, SoYoon decided to read in their library to break up her boredom. She browsed the shelves of books when she came upon a title she knew from memory. It was the trilogy novel that she had read at Heart's office. She pulled out the second book as Dum pulled out the first book.

"This is the first book in the series. That's the second one."

"I read the first one."

"Where?"

She didn't answer and instead found a spot on the sofa. Dum sat next to her and opened the first book. 

His elbow leaned against the back of the sofa, and his fingers lightly swept across her white hair. SoYoon didn't react to his touch and opened her book. At this, he narrowed his eyes and glanced at her.

Truthfully, Twins hadn't thought much about what would happen after the confession. They'd never felt anything like this before, so they didn't have the leisure to figure out that part after sorting through their mixed emotions. But what she said felt as if she'd dumped ice water on them.

"I have no feelings for you."

The answer was an obvious one. The only interactions between SoYoon and the Twins had been one request and several encounters. As they were reeling from the pang in the corner of their heart, she said something else that froze them.

"How long is this request valid for?"

If it were too long, SoYoon would most definitely storm out of here, so they told her one week. She said that was still too long, but when they brought up the point that Dee had stayed at her place for a week, they were able to persuade—or more accurately beg—her to agree. They were hoping to change her mind about them that week.

Twins placed the book on their lap and observed SoYoon. Her profile was smooth and looked western. If we asked her where she was from, would she get mad? they thought as they continued to examine her face.

They were sure her white, smooth skin was something she had been born with. There was no way that a girl who washed with soap from head to toe would take the extra time for a skin regimen. The pale cheeks and lips didn't seem to be her natural look, however. He was sure those were a consequence of her time at the research facility, as Duke had told him.

It was then when her eyes, which had been reading, looked over at him. The white lashes that wrapped around her white eyes felt dreamlike, and so in a trance, they blurted out their thoughts.

"Hey, I really like you."

She blinked several times then turned her attention back to the book. It was the same reaction she'd had when they first confessed to her. They narrowed their eyes and watched her, then leaned onto her shoulder and peered at the book.

"This is fun?"

The person who answered was not SoYoon but Dum.

"It's fairly fun."

That would have been a strange sight, but they didn't pay it any attention, because the only person who knew about their identity was SoYoon, and she would understand.

The doorbell rang. Given the hour, it was probably the chef.

"He's interrupting us."

He clicked his tongue then left the library. SoYoon sighed.

Twins left for the office to eat lunch. SoYoon, who was now alone, continued to read. It was comfortable to not think of anything else when she was concentrating on the words. The sun had gone down, and she felt a presence. She put down her book and went to the door. Dum opened it, and upon seeing her face, opened his eyes wide and smiled expansively.

"I'm back."

He took large strides over to her and hugged her. She had been here for three days, and now she smelled like them—like a refreshing tart lime.

"Oh, this is nice."

Dee had woken up and muttered to Dum that he wasn't playing fair and flexed his arm.

SoYoon and Twins stood side by side at the kitchen to set up the dinner the chef had left behind. SoYoon placed the rose stew filled with seafood onto the induction and put the chicken salad into a bowl. Twins continued to watch her.

"What?" she asked bluntly, and they gave her a peck on the cheek.

"I like that you are in this house."

"Even if it is only for a week?"

"I don't know why you look so pretty when you are so cold. It must be because I like you."

"Twins."

She put down the things she was holding and turned to him. He had been right behind her. She pushed him back so that some space separated them.

"I'm Dum now. Call me Dum."

"...Sure, Dum. I'm going to tell you now that I will never like you back. So don't waste your time."

"Hm, I'm supposed to be disappointed by this, right? Are we that unattractive?" Dum asked as he naturally swept away the hair that stuck to her cheek. On his face was a luxurious smile that anyone would fawn over. 

Truthfully, they were fairly confident. Even a girl with the highest standards had never withstood their seduction.

They didn't want Undertaker SoYoon, but the girl SoYoon. If that was the case, they just had to appeal to her feminine side. Dum swept her hair behind her ear and rubbed it with the ends of his fingers. She watched their eyes glisten then turned away.

"The stew is boiling."

She turned off the induction and moved the hot pot over to the table using a dishtowel. Having failed to set the atmosphere, Twins watched the back of her blankly. For the first time, they wondered if a week was not going to be enough time.
