+ From ancient Greek myths to Game of Thrones, the legend of the dragon is one of the most enduring and romanticized throughout history. It has been traced back as far as 4000 BC and exists in all parts of the world. In and around Europe dragons are viewed mostly as monsters of evil intent. In ancient Rome, the army used dragons as symbols of strength. During the Renaissance, fear of sea monsters kept sailors from venturing too far from known waters, and the edges of their maps would read "Here be dragons."


+ The etymology of the word dragon, which it says entered the English lexicon in around 1220 and was used in English versions of the Bible from the early 14th century. Dragon derives from Old French, the language used by nobles and law courts following the Norman conquest of 1066. This, in turn, stems from the Latin draconem or Draco meaning "big serpent," which was derived from ancient Greek δράκων (drakon).


+ In Greek mythology, the Hesperian Dragon named Ladon was a hundred-headed serpent that guarded the golden apples in the garden of the Hesperides. Historically, European dragons were viewed as being evil, jealous, and greedy hoarders of treasure. In the stories, they were generally treated as violent monsters who must be slain by heroes and saints. European dragons could have four legs, two legs, or none, and often had wings.


+ In Asia, and especially China, the view of these creatures was very different. Dragons were thought to live under the ocean in the winter, arising in the spring with a clap of thunder to bring the rain needed for their crops, according to the American Museum of Natural History. + Ancient Origins discusses a number of potential roots. The first one is crocodiles. Saltwater and Nile crocodiles are the two largest living reptiles on earth today. Currently, saltwater crocodiles live in the eastern Indian Ocean region, and Nile crocs in the rivers, marshes, and lakes of Sub-Saharan Africa. But 1,000 years they had a much larger habitat range and could have been encountered by people living in Greece, Spain, and Southern Italy.

+ Dragons appear in the mythology of many ancient cultures but nowhere else in the world was the creature quite so revered as in China. There, in marked contrast to other world mythologies, the dragon was almost always seen in a positive light and particularly associated with life-giving rains and water sources. Considered the most auspicious year sign, worn on the robes of emperors, depicted in the most precious materials from gold jewelry to jade figurines, and with countless references in literature and the performing arts, the dragon was everywhere in ancient China and looms as large today in the Chinese psyche as ever.


+ One of the earliest creatures to appear in the tales and legends of ancient China, the dragon is most often depicted as a giant and lithe beast which dwells in either water sources or clouds.


+ The Chinese dragon is extraordinarily powerful, and when it flies, it is usually accompanied by lightning and thunder. When, by whom, and on what reality the dragon was first invented is not known, although some historians suggest a link with rainbows and a 'serpent of the sky' which is seen after rain showers or at waterfalls. Carved jade dragons have been excavated at sites of the Hongshan culture, which can be dated to 4500-3000 BCE, far before any written records of the creature appeared. The historian R. Dawson gives the following description of the Chinese dragon's physical attributes.


+ Alternative descriptions give similar attributes but sometimes with the body of a snake, the eyes of a rabbit, the belly of a frog, and the antlers of a deer. Other qualities of the dragon were that it could change its shape and size at will and disappear or reappear wherever it wished.


+ The Chinese scholar Wen Yiduo suggested that this fantastic collection of beastly parts was actually based on the political union of several different tribes, each with a different animal as their totem. The dragon was, therefore, a symbolic representation of the assimilation of these tribes into a single nation. An interesting hypothesis, it does not, however, explain the appearance of dragons long before any such political associations existed in early Chinese communities.


+ Despite the dragon's fearsome aspect it was not usually seen as the bad-intentioned monster that inhabits the myths of other cultures around the world where it is typically slain by a brave hero figure. Indeed, in China, the dragon was and is regarded as being a just and benevolent creature.


+ It is for this reason they became associated with rulership and especially the emperors of China who, in their capacity as the holders of the Mandate of Heaven and as God's representative on earth, must always rule in a just and impartial manner for the good of all their subjects.

+ Dragons can be placed in two groups- East and West dragons, and they were regarded as either good or very fearsome and evil creatures. In ancient China, the dragon was a highly significant creature that became a symbol of the Emperor and his throne was sometimes called the Dragon Throne.  Ancient Chinese believed dragons were in control the weather and water. These creatures were said to be able to manipulate oceans, floods, tornadoes, and storms.


+ There are nine distinctive Chinese dragons and some of them are serpent-like creatures with large bodies and long heads. The dragon in China is believed to be a benign creature that is said to bring wisdom, power, and luck. They are famous for their goodness and to ward off evil, protect the innocent and bring safety to all. Tradition and celebration of New Year in China can be traced to a dragon named Nien (or "year").


+ Nien was a legendary wild beast that attacked people at the end of the old year. Villagers would use loud noises and bright lights to scare the creature away, a practice that slowly morphed into the Chinese New Year festivities. Today the dragon has its own year on the Chinese calendar. On the British Isles and in Scandinavia, dragons were often depicted as wingless creatures. In this part of the world, the dragon was depicted as a more malevolent creature that was very difficult to kill. The West dragon was wingless and lived in dark places or wells where he was guarding hoard treasures. Approaching the dragon was almost impossible because of its poisonous fire breath. Dragons in British and Scandinavian mythology often appear in stories when a prince tries to save a young maiden from being abducted by the fearsome animal.

+The Viking dragon was in many ways a representation of the Midgard Serpent, a mythical sea creature who fought with the Norse god, Thor. The reason why Vikings built ships with huge dragonheads was that they wanted to appear as frightening as possible from a long distance. Vikings called their longships "Drakkar" or dragon ships and the dragon was a powerful and fearsome symbol of war.


+ Many have seen the Welsh flag features a red dragon and that the Prince of Wales uses rampant dragons on his banner. The old British word "draig," meant leader, and the word, "pen," meant head. The two words combined to form Pendragon or Pen Draig, a noble surname in early Britain as early as the fifth century. The dragon symbol continued to be used by the last native Welsh princes of Wales, Llewelyn ap Gruffydd, and Owain Glyndwr, during their struggles against English occupation in the 14th and 15th centuries.

Sage Vyasa taught this epic to his son Suka and his students Vaisampayana and others. King Janamejaya, son of Parikshit, and the grandson of the heroes of the epic performed a great sacrifice (yagna). The epic was retold by Vaisampayana to Janamejaya at the advice of Vyasa. Later on, the other sage Suta retold the Mahabharata similar to Vaisampayana to Janamejaya, to Saunaka and others, during a sacrifice performed by Saunaka in Naimisaranya, which is near Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh.

A war was raging. In the midst of the war were two people reaping the blood of their enemies. One of them was an archer. He held a large wooden bow plated at the end with platinum and on his back was a quiver of an unending cooler of arrows. He wore a bright white armor and gauntlets that were stained red with the blood of his enemies. He was quite tall and was brown skinned. His hair was cut in a military fashion. He had quite a muscular build.
The other was a swordsman. He had two swords in his hands. Each sword almost three-fourths of a meter long. Both of them were deep blue in color with lightning calling through it. He wore a bright orange armor and gauntlet pair, which like his friend's were stained with blood. He was more muscular than the archer. 
The archer shot flaming arrows continually which achieved the job of destroying the enemy morale as they couldn't stand the arrow volley. He was stationed at one position but was rotating around to get people from all the sides. While the archer fought at one place, using long-range attacks, the swordsman moved as though he was one with the wind itself. His victims wouldn't see him even when he killed them. The only warning they'd get was a bright blue light and crackling sounds. 
I am the swordsman. My name is Charleston SC. Right now, I am in the middle of a war in the game Heavenly Hell. Warfare is far more difficult and enjoyable than I thought it was.
I have killed thousands today and shall continue to kill thousands more. The archer is my Indian friend Aditya. We are in the Indian region of Kurukshetra. I took the name Karthik in the game after being coerced into it by my friend. I say coerced because calling myself that is the Christian equivalent of calling myself, Christ. So I wasn't sure but in fact, my friend himself is named Aditya which happens to be an Indian name for the sun. Many people here are named after Gods. 
But nevertheless, here, we are participating in the Mahabharata event which commemorates the eighteen-day Mahabharata War which took place in Kurukshetra.  There are similar events throughout this world. I and my friend Aditya are the founders and only members of the guild Heavenly Demons. We are fighting on the Pandava side of the battle. It's a very long Epic poem which if converted into a TV show could run for years without making anything up. There are so many stories here. 
But the short version is that there were two sets of brothers, Pandavas, and Kauravas. They fought for the throne of Hastinapura. The Pandavas were the good side, and Kauravas were the bad side. There were a hundred Kauravas and just five Pandavas. The Pandavas created their own land in a place they called Indraprastha, present-day New Delhi. They then built their own empire. The Kauravas got jealous and invited the Pandavas to a game of dice. The Kauravas then won everything from the Pandavas with the help of their cunning uncle Shakuni. They then made the Pandavas bet themselves. Then when they won again, they coerced the Pandavas into betting their wife Draupadi.[For Reference: In her previous life, Draupadi had prayed to the gods for a husband who is very good at heart, a husband who is loyal, a husband who had great valor, a husband who is good looking, a husband who had brilliant insight. The Gods understood it as five husbands and blessed her whereas she wanted one husband with all qualities but worded it wrong so she ended up with five husbands] When they lost in dice yet again, Duryodhana, the eldest Kaurava ordered his younger brother Dushyasan to bring Draupadi to the court and strip her there. She was pulled there by the hair and everyone stayed quiet while it happened. Draupadi then prayed to Krishna, who made two yards of cloth come to Draupadi for every one yard Dushyasan pulled. Eventually, Dushyasan fell after being unable to strip Draupadi. That day the Pandavas were exiled for fourteen years. The Pandavas swore revenge on the Kauravas and then 14 years later they fought the epic battle and gained their revenge. 
While the original fighters don't fight in this anymore, they view it as bystanders, sometimes even gamble on who wins. But that doesn't matter. As of now, I, Karthik am surrounded by people trying to murder me and I am enjoying this exp gain. Exp is the reason I participate in events such as these. You get as much as exp as all of your victims gained before dying. Also, an extra amount of exp gained proportionally to the level of your victims. I have killed so many of them and I am going to kill so many more of them. As a swordsman here,  speed and accuracy is everything. A closer combatant here is at a severe disadvantage. So if you aren't fast enough, an archer will shoot you to hell. So I trained and trained until I was so fast that the fastest arrows from the average archer of my level were as slow as a snail for me. My swords had reaped the blood of so many now that my level has increased by 2. Considering that I am level 345, now 346 and that this is only the first day. By the end of the eighteenth day, I may even reach level 360. I sweep in to kill another person. All of a sudden, I am hit by a bright ray that blinds me for a while. I am unable to move. I open my status screen to see what the hell is happening. My screen goes blank for a second. The logout button was nowhere to be seen. I looked all over. It gave me nothing. Just my health, level, and other important stats. I click on the icon that says, 'Contact Us'. It is no longer working. I chose it as the light disappears. I defend against some people who try to gain the upper hand on me. I look at them. They all feel so real. For reference, my Wifi is so bad that all I see when I play is average level CGI. I don't see better. But now, it's like I am right over there. I strike at them with my swords. I feel so much freer. I feel like I am actually flowing like the wind like I am one with the wind. I go to chat and connect to Adi( nickname for Aditya), "Is it just me or does everything seem so much more real?" 
Adi says, "Nope. Seems the same to me. I don't see any change. Maybe your WiFi got better. That's why we had that big white beam. Your WiFi got better" He said the last part while laughing. 
I ignore that as I continue to kill my victims. A slash here and one more guy goes down. I turn around to find another man about to strike me. I intercept his sword with one of mine and stab him in the gut with my other. I remove my sword from his guts. My sword is covered in his blood. I turn to my right as one more person is about to kill me. I intercept him and slash his neck. I run towards an archer who is shooting arrows at me. One of them flings right past my ear. I run towards him. Many others flanking him run towards me. They all wield war axes. I duck below the first one; turn my sword around and stab him in the back and bring him in the front to act as my meat shield. I remove my sword from his back and decapacitate him. Someone stabs my thoracic portion of my vertebral column, i.e, my back between my shoulder blades. I scream in agony. I elbow him and remove the ax painfully from my back. I throw the ax at the archer which breaks his arrow midway and hits his face. I go on to decapacitate more and more people.
I continue on my warpath. Until I am stopped by an archer on the other side. By the looks of it, he is a high-level Rathi. 
[For reference, there are six ranks in this region: (i)Infantry the lowest rank. (ii)Cavalry- One Cavalryman can take on ten to fifty infantrymen (iii)Rathi-A warrior on a chariot. When you reach this rank you can use a carrot but it isn't mandatory. You can go on your own even if you are of the rank Rathi. One Rathi can take on hundreds of cavalrymen or thousands of infantrymen (iv) Maharathi- Maha means great. One Maharathi can take on ten or more Rathis. Or ten thousand or more infantrymen. (v) Atimaharathi- Ati means very powerful. One Atimaharathi can take on fifteen or more Maharathis simultaneously. Or, 150000 infantrymen simultaneously. (vi) MahaAtimaharathi - Gods. They can destroy the planet if they wish.
Each of these ranks has many levels. You can gain the next rank by defeating someone of that rank. So to become a Maharathi one must defeat another Maharathi. There are similar levels in each region of the world.]
I am a level 8 Rathi. He must be a little lower because I am the highest ranking Rathi after Adi in this region. Adi is higher cause he is in a chariot and is an archer.
I look at the Rathi. He is wearing golden armor. He says in a deep voice, "Today's your last day in this battle. I'll personally make sure of it, 'The Bloody Azure' ."
[For reference: The Hindu mythology consists of many Gods. Brahma, the creator; Vishnu the preserver and Shiva the destroyer. All the other Gods come under them. Vishnu had ten incarnations or avatars. He incarcerated every time to defeat evil and preserve peace. It is believed that only nine of the avatars have come and the tenth is yet to come. This is the synopsis for the world famous MMORPG, Gods vs Demons. A game where the Gods are sick of humans and each other. In this game The players can choose which region they want to follow into war or instead, they can go against all the Gods and Demons and join the neutral faction. But one day, all of a sudden, those playing the game are sucked into it. What will they do now? Will they continue to serve? Or will they fight against all the odds?

Long Tian's POV:

After leaving Melqart with Kusanagi Goudou, We went to rest in a hotel. I started to solidify my cultivation while inspecting my 10 avatars. Each avatar has its advantages, but the disadvantage is that once used, It takes a day to recover. I have to find some loopholes to use this power for a prolonged period. I meditated for around 5 hours. After meditating, I went to the bath and refreshed. I noticed that both of them were sleeping. I took a photo since their face was too cute. I then slept on the couch since I don't want to disturb them.

The next day morning, I woke up 6 in the morning and refreshed myself. I then went to wake the girls. I looked at them and said, "Girls. Wake up. Its morning. Wake up now.". I started to shake them slightly. They woke up groggily and looked at me. They then grabbed my hands and pulled me to bed and started to snuggle at both sides of my hands. I was momentarily shocked and sighed. It seems Long Yuyin became assertive and bold. I was in that position sometimes. Unknowing to me both girls were awake and were smiling at each other, or they thought. I was aware that they were wide awake. It seems that they planned this.

I then shook both of them and said, "Wake up girls. Its time. We have work to do. Also, I need to order breakfast for us. So wake up girls. And also, stop acting girls.". I said the last one with a smirk. The girls were momentarily shocked but then, they pouted. 'Cute', I thought. The girls then went to refresh, while I started to order. I ordered some bacon and egg with fruit salads. When they came, We sat and started to eat. Long Yuyin asked, "So what is our next plan. Where are we going?".

I looked at them and said, "We are going to India next. I want Xiao Ning'er to fight Indra and gain his divinity. This will work with her lightning law. Also, we could enjoy some of the spicy foods and various tourism in India. And then, we will look for some gods compatible with you (Long Yuyin).". For this, both girls were beaming with smiles. I just ruffed their hairs. I wanted them to experience the flight, thus we needed a passport. It takes time since we needed to create our own identities. The faster way is to approach a magical society. Copper-Black cross and Bronze-Copper cross are the two in Italy. I decided to go with Bronze-Black.

To gain their attention, I went to defeat the Voban, one of the notorious Campione. He has gained three divinities by reviving heretic gods using sacrifices. I hated that character since he used children for sacrifice. I found his base with my haki. It seems Liliana Kranijar was with him. I then bashed into his base. Both were shocked, but Liliana was terrified. It seems she found my Identity. I smiled at her and looked at Voban and said, "Voban. For the crimes you committed, face the consequences. I came to defeat you to gain the attention of the Bronze-Black cross magical society. So fight me.".

Voban started to laugh hearing this. He said, "An upstart like you going to defeat me? And this is to gain recognition? Don't make me laugh. I will bury you and take your divinity with me.". He started to release his pressure. I looked at him unfazed and released mine. His pressure was like a raging river while mine was a calm bottomless ocean. He fainted immediately. It was rather anti-climatic. With all the bark, he immediately fainted. At this time, the head of Bronze-Black cross magical society and was shocked and was under my pressure. He and Liliana almost fainted. I immediately retreated my pressure.

The head looked at me and asked, "E-esteemed Campione. What can we do for you?". I looked at him and said, "I and my friends need identification and Passport. Make us a citizen of Italy. I need it today. If not for that, I wouldn't even see this weak old man.". Hearing this he wanted to puke blood. He thought, 'Weak?! He was one of the notorious Campione and you're calling him weak?'. Keeping this thought to himself he said, "I will do it immediately. You will get these within 2 hours.". He hesitated for a while and asked, "Can my niece be a guide to you? She is strong and will aid you in your endeavors.".

Hearing this she was shocked. She was slightly expecting this outcome. She wanted to understand about this king and also she was in her fantasy world. I looked at her and asked, "Do you know about Indian mythologies?". She was suddenly snapped from her fantasy and answered, "Unfortunately no. I don't have that much.". I looked at her and sighed. I saw the head and said, "Then she won't be aiding me. I am going to India now but her lack of knowledge will slow me down. I am sorry. But you can send your niece to the new king Kusanagi Goudou. He is new and she can aid him. Also, I saw him with blond hair with a red dress and a cross sign. I heard that you two were rivals. So why not try there.".

Hearing this, she was dejected. But with a resolute expression, she said, "Please King! give me a chance. I will gain knowledge as much as possible. I will try my level best. Please give me a chance to guide you.". She even kneeled in front of me. I felt like trash now. I just wanted to avoid creating a ripple and wanted her to follow the canon and yet it wanted me to screw it. I looked at her and said, "Three hours. Collect as much as books you needed and meet us at the airport. Bring me the identification. My name is Long Tian and my friends are Long Yuyin and Xiao Ning'er. These are our photos.". Hearing this she was ecstatic but looking at the photos, she felt something inside her. Keeping it back on her head, she nodded and left. The head too went back to his headquarters.

After three hours, we went to Italy airport, where we met Liliana with her luggage. We got our identification and passport and booked a ticket for India. We were sent off by Liliana's uncle and boarded the flight. The three girls were discussing and laughing. I saw Liliana was slightly wary but she joined them soon. It was 11 hours journey with one break. She studied some of the Indian mythology in her meantime. She truly wanted to prove her worth. But we will be leaving soon. I don't know what to do with her. Also, I didn't know what to do with Long Yuyin. I just sighed and cursed my luck.

We reached India, Bombay airport. We deboarded the plain and were flocked by guides. In the midst of them, I was able to sense magical power in a person. He looked at us and was shocked. I went towards him and asked, "Can you guide us? We are new here and wanted to visit many places in India.". He nodded dumbfoundedly and we placed our luggage in a car. When he entered, he looked at me and asked, "O King. Where do you wish to go?". Others were slightly surprised but that is all. I looked at him and said, "Take me to the last place, where the god Indra was.". He was shocked but he never said anything. No one should ever anger a Campione.

It seems he was founded in Mount Vindhya. The fight itself was somewhat boring. Both Indra and Xiao Ning'er traded blows for around half an hour. But Xiao Ning'er was able to finish off Indra by firing plasma canon lightning version, thus becoming a Campione and ascending to the emperor realm. The guide was shocked and after relaying the message,  we were visited by the Indian magical association for congratulating  Xiao Ning'er for becoming Campione. We visited various tourist spots like the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, Mumbai beach, Kerala, Valley of Flowers in Nainital and various places. Our trip was eventful. It was like a date for Xiao Ning'er, Long Yuyin and myself. It was a one month trip.

I decided to accept the feelings of Long Yuyin and confessed her in the valley of Flowers. It was one of my most memorable days. Liliana was slightly sad. She wanted to prove herself but it seems it was impossible. I then said, "Liliana. We are going to Japan to see the Ryujin. Long Yuyin is best suited for that. I know you are well versed in Japanese Mythology. You are going to guide her to become Campione. So be prepared.". She was happy hearing that. She gave Long Yuyin a nod. We then prepared our luggage since we will be leaving India soon. Girls made a hell of purchase in clothes, accessories and some souvenirs.

We arrived at the airport in Mumbai, where we will be leaving for Japan. I gave the guide a hefty amount of money and protection amulet as a gift. He was thanking us profusely. We boarded the flight and reached Japan in 9 hours. I also saw Kusanagi Goudou at the airport with Erica. It seems that we will be meeting Athena soon. Then we booked a cab and went to a hotel, waiting for the show to happen.

When they took a look at what was on the other side, the three were extremely surprised.

"What is this?" Hermione asked. 

The room was pitch black and the three were hesitant to go inside. 

"What if this is a hole?" Kristine asked. "We're going to die from the fall," 

"I don't think we have a choice," Chris said. "This is the only door we found since we've been stuck here,"

The two were still reluctant to go inside. 

"I'll go inside," Chris said. "If I fall then I fall. If we don't go in, we'll eventually go crazy from just walking without a set destination," 

Before the girls could say anything, Chris went inside the room. 

"It's not a hole," Chris said. "Just come inside," 

Hermione and Kristine looked at each other and slowly went inside the room. The door quickly closed behind them and when Hermione and Kristine both went to find the door, they couldn't. The three now were surrounded in complete darkness. 

"Great! The door disappeared and we have no light as well," Kristine said. "See if we can use mag-"

Before Kristine could finish, the room started to change. Torches started to appear from the sides which started to illuminate the room. 

There was now a marble floor with limestone round pillars around the three. In front of the three was a huge limestone statue of a naked middle-aged man being held up by chains.

"Whoa, what is all this?" Chris asked as he started to walk around the room. Aside from the torches, statue, and pillars, there was nothing else in the room. 

Suddenly the diary in Hermione's arm started to vibrate.

"Chris! Kristine! The diary is reacting to something," Hermione said. 

"Quickly open the diary," Chris said. Hermione opened the diary and on the page after the riddle, words started to form. 

Release the chains of the one that saved humanity. Give freedom to the one that has suffered never-ending pain for millenniums. Shout his name loudly to free him. However, do it fast as today will be the last for this great hero of fire.

"Great hero of fire?" Kristine asked. "That could mean anyone. There were many figures in both history and mythology that discovered or created fire,"

"The work looks very familiar," Hermione said. "Not the statue itself, but the material and the looks of it look very similar," 

"Greek statues!" Chris shouted. "This looks like something the Greeks would make. Limestone is also material that ancient Greek used to use a lot," 

"So is this supposed to be a king or an important historical figure?" Kristine asked. 

"No, Greeks usually made statues of their gods so I think we're dealing with Greek mythology here," Hermione said. "However, there's so much mythology and I don't know that much about it. All I know are only the names of the big Gods and some stories like Pandora, King Midas, and Hercules," 

"Then this might be Hephaestus. He's the god of fire I believe," Chris said. "I'll shout his name," 

Chris walked to the front of the statue and was now only a couple feet away. 

"Hephaestus!" Chris shouted. However, nothing happened.

"It was wrong?!" Chris exclaimed confusedly as he went back to where Hermione and Kristine was. "But there's no other god of fire," 

"Chris I don't think it's as simple of just a god of fire," Hermione said. "There has to be more to this man's story. Otherwise, it would just say god instead of hero,"

"I don't know anyone heroes in Greek mythology that could control fire. Do you know any Kristine?"

"I think I've heard of one," Kristine said. "Mother once told me about Hercules and his 12 quests. She didn't tell me much because she said a lot of it was too scary for me, but she told about a story where there was a titan named Atlas who held up the sky without any help. Hercules asked Atlas to get him a golden apple which was his quest and told Atlas that he would hold up the sky for him. Well blah blah blah, the story ends with Hercules tricking Atlas. Well when my mother used to tell me some stories like this, she would sometimes say random facts and in this case, she had a random fact for me. She said that Atlas had a brother named Prometheus who had something to do with fire, but I don't remember if that's him,"

"Prometheus..." Chris mumbled as he went deep into thought. 

'System can I buy a book on Greek mythology from the store?' Chris asked.

'Of course not, you scammer!' Chris exclaimed as he immediately pushed the thought aside. 'Alright I guess I'll have to try remembering,'

"Oh yes! I remember Prometheus!" Hermione exclaimed. 

"You do?!" Chris shouted excitedly. 

"Yeah, it was something I read for a bit of fun. I forgot about him since I read it so long ago. Prometheus was also a titan who was good at tricking people. He also made humans on Zeus' order and started to like humans since he didn't really even like the gods in the first place. Well basically, he tricked every gods and goddesses and stole Hephaestus' fire and gave it to man. He was punished by Zeus and was chained to a rock while eagles ate up his insides. I stopped reading after that," Hermione said.

"He gave humanity fire which is the best technology mankind had. This should count as being a hero," Chris said. "Alright I'll shout Prometheus,"

Chris Kim was a Potterhead. While he was reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for the 15th time, he felt the force sucking him inside the book. He realized he was in the Harry Potter World with the Wizardry System. How will he change the Harry Potter world with his knowledge?

A 6-foot tall muscular silhouette stood under the shower, steamy hot water forcefully spraying right on to his face. The water was so hot that the entire bath was covered with water vapor like blinding fog, giving the entire bath a tinge of ethereal touch. 

But the water was too hot, so hot that a sensitive skinned person might even get mild burns. Yet the man below the shower stood there like stone with utter disregard to the burning water, he didn't even bother to lift his eyelids. 

A few minutes later, the shower stopped and the fog vanished revealing the silhouette's prominent well defined muscles.

Though the guy had a perfect stature, his perfect figure wasn't a beautiful sight to behold; it was rather a scary hideous portrait. Every inch of his upper body from the neckline to waist were riddled with endless scars. 

Of that humongous torso, only his face was spared; the wounds were either slashes, cuts or large burn marks.

Most people would have a trauma seeing those hideous scars yet this man somehow survived such inhumane torture and still kicking alive to tell his tale.

After a few seconds of silence, he let out a self-deprecating sigh before reaching out to pick the towel and wrapped the towel around his waist. 

The muscular guy is Hari a retired soldier, nothing but a poor soul pushed into normal society after decades lurking in the dark world. 

Hari stood before the mirror seeing his not so handsome yet a flawless face and all the stomach-churning scars below the neckline; though Hari had pleasant looks his face lacked the tinge of luster or life in them.

His eyes had long lost their sparkles it had nothing but darkness, an unsettling numbness. Hari's pride-filled indomitable heroic spirit was nothing but a part of a distant yet unforgettable past.


His career as a super soldier ended in a mission, crippling a valiant soldier through strange unimaginable coincidence. Hari was bit against a force he has never fought, or could never fathom to fight against, the nature.

The iron-hearted soldier had to take the hardest decision of his life and retire from the Indian Army.

His parents were clueless about his Army life career; Hari somehow managed to fool them for 14 full years from being a nonexistent student in a reputed college to an vagabond genius employee jumping from company to company.

He moved to Chennai, one of the metros after his retirement and found a measly job as an assistant accountant in a decent company.

In fact, he could live a life of luxury if only he had accepted anyone of the money bags from his pile of rewards or if he didn't donate all his hard earned saving from the bloody missions.

Hari turned down all the awards military offered for his legendary service, he even refused the basic privileges given to any Indian soldier.

Anything remotely connected to the army would evoke memories he was trying to erase so hard making his life even worse.


His odd behavior coupled with dead fish eyes worried his parents forcing them to used every dirty trick in the books to pry the tight sealed mouth of his; of course, they couldn't find a thing but his parents somehow forced him into an arranged marriage.

Last week he married Shreya, a typical cold beauty and escaped his parent's tortures. But it wasn't a normal marriage, it was more like an contractual marriage to ward of both their parents.

Hari and Shreya married with a non-involvement contract. They lived under the same roof and that's all they had in common with normal married couples.

Both moved to a 3 bedroom luxury apartment but lived in different rooms, Hari knew nothing about her except her name. Hari followed the contract by word and a led peaceful new married life.

Surprisingly enough, the agreement was actually Shreya's initiative and Hari gratefully accepted her plan; his brain was already smoking just thinking of ways to escape marriage and his parent's nosy enquiries.


'Life can really screw anyone huh.'

Hari suddenly remembered that fateful day, the day turned a peerless soldier, the captain of the best team in the army to a lowest tier white-collar employee.

His Team 'The Red Chakora' was the most successful team with an amazing records under their belt. They have never completed a mission without a small massacre.

His Team fed upon the dark and evil, the weeds in the society, 'Where Red Chakora goes blood trail follows.' They never failed to live up to their reputation.

2 years ago, Hari led 3 of his team members to scout the caves in a remote corner of Himalayan Range, which was supposed to be a terrorist hideout.

After hours of search the cave turned out to be an abandoned outpost with few broken pots and animal bone, Hari and his teammates were cursing that incompetent informer while munching the tasteless hard nutrient bars.


They were forced to camp in the caves to escape the sudden bone freezing storm. Little did they know the storm was just the onset the series of disasters that followed.

After a few hours the stormed strengthened further building tension; while Hari and his friends were cracking jokes and giggling to lighten the mood, a sudden deafening thunder dashed all their efforts.

Following a massive landslide shifting half the mountain above them to neatly sealing the cave's narrow entrance.

Hari was running out of ideas the weather made it impossible to send any sort of signal. They must at least survive a week without food or water. But their greatest problem was air, every member of The Red Chakora were survival experts.

They could go for months without food and last at least a week without water but no matter how hard you train no one can survive without air.


Hari could sense the shadow of death looming over them, the cave wasn't large the 4 of them might survive a couple of hours before suffocated to death.

While Hari was fiddling his fingers, the tension was slowly building it up. Everyone's is smart enough to figure out what's going on.

All his comrades briefly looked at each other before nodding their head and silently retrieving their pistol.
