Twenty-five minutes after Sally left, Dominic came running into the ward, with Chester trailing behind him. As soon as he spotted Lexi, he ran over and threw himself into her arms peppering her face with kisses, before saying "I missed you so much mummy. But where is daddy Matthew?"
Gently pulling Dominic back slightly Lexi laughed a little before saying "I see that I am so low in your priorities Dominic."
"Mummy, you are alright. But Daddy Matthew was hurt trying to protect the most important person to both him and me, you mummy. I have to make sure he knows that I am so happy he did the right thing by you mummy."
Seeing that Lexi was close to tears Chester said "Dominic stop trying to manipulate your mummy. You know, when we asked for directions that your Daddy Matthew is with the medical staff and will be back here in a little bit of time. I think your mummy needs your care now, and then, provided you are not silly, when your Daddy Matthew is back you can play cute with him."
"Stop being mean Uncle Chester. I wonder why Uncle Phillip puts up with you."
Coming over and ruffling Dominic's hair Chester responded "Because he loves me Dominic. Now, can you give me a couple of minutes to talk to your mummy?"
"So, you want to ditch me Uncle Chester?"
"No, I just need to tell her a couple of things, and you already know this…"
"So, I am just going to sit with mummy."
Shaking her head, Lexi reached over, and pulled Dominic onto her lap for a hug, before saying "You monkey. If you behave, I will give you a treat…"
A voice from the door interrupted Lexi saying "No Dominic. Good behaviour does not require you being bribed."
Dominic turned and pulled out of Lexi's arms running over before yelling "Daddy Matthew…"
Lexi concerned said "Be careful Dominic," which stopped Dominic just as he reached Matthew. Matthew paused and opened his arms and Dominic moved in for a hug, before quickly returning to Lexi's side to allow Matthew to come into the room.
"Chester," came Matthew's response, which drew a nod.
"Matthew. I was not certain when you would be back, so I was going to tell Lexi, so you did not worry. Last night when they did all the medical checks on those of us who the military brought here the doctors contacted Phillip's oncologist who wanted him monitored overnight …"
Concerned, Matthew interrupted and said, "Is he alright?"
"Stop panicking Matthew. The oncologist was worried about stress given the experimental treatment protocol that is being used. I saw Phillip earlier this morning and he seemed alright. At that time, the doctors here were simply waiting for a consultation with Phillip's oncologist before he was discharged. That has happened and they are completing the discharge procedures. Phillip has a follow up appointment with the oncologist Monday, but I need to get him home and reduce his stress…"
Knowing exactly what the source of his stress would be Matthew said, "You wanted to make sure I was alright to let him know to reduce one stress?"
"Right. What is the situation?"
"I have come through the surgery well but will have to remain in hospital for a few days for monitoring of the wound for post-operative infection. Plus, they have already started me on the rehabilitation. Tell him not to worry about me, and when I get out of here, I will come and see him."
Chester nodded and looked at Lexi, before adding "And you?"
"Chester, just some bruising," responded Lexi quietly. Physically that was right, but at the same time she knew within herself how much she was hurting emotionally. No one needed to know that. No matter what she promised she was not going to get counselling, as that would result in the secrets that she wanted hidden getting out.
Chester looked at Lexi and could see similar hurt in her eyes as she had at the time of Richard's death. As if the world was crashing down on her, and pushing was not going to achieve anything. Chester said "Lexi, Phillip wanted to see Matthew before he left, so I am going to take him away for a few minutes."
"Meanie, Uncle Chester. Daddy Matthew has just gotten back to mummy and I and now you want to take him away," came a somewhat despondent comment from Dominic.
Lexi looked at him carefully and could see that he was up to mischief. Hugging him, she said "Go, and we will wait here."
Carefully pushing the wheelchair with Matthew in outside the room, Chester was escorted down a corridor to the room where Phillip was waiting. Before entering Chester stopped and said "Matthew, she is hurting. She had a similar look when Richard was killed. It is as if the world is collapsing on her. I stepped up to let her go away last time, but it took years for her to be ready to return. She does not have that option. You need to do something."
"I know Chester. I observed it this morning when I finally roused from sleep and the surgery. The as sitting beside the bed, tears in her eyes stressing out about the whole situation. While I was having the initial rehabilitation session, the medics informed me they believe she has post traumatic stress disorder. Not unexpected with what has happened over the last twelve months, but their position is she needs to agree to assessment and treatment, and not be pushed into it. They said if we push her at this time, it will make the situation worse."
"But she needs help, now."
"Chester, I have seen enough soldiers impacted by post traumatic stress disorder to know you cannot force treatment on them. All you can do is encourage them to get help and be there to support them whatever they choose." Matthew paused and said "Now let us go and see Phillip so you can get him home and I can head back to my wife and step-son."

Nisa took a deep breath, this is the first social event for her as the Real "Cheata", it might be fun for her but also stressful...too beautiful...catch everyone eyes...until she has no peace of mind...

This party is a celebration party telling her to walk to the high society in Cambodia that of course can't avoid as a Lieutenant's /as Madam Reaksmey's daughter and also as the new manager in Mongkol Vattanak Hotel.

Because of this look of hers, Nisa think that there won't be much trouble to socialized but she don't know how well she can blend in and don't want people to see her as a "beautiful vase" (good look no brain). So if she fail this first work, she can't work as a hotel manager...the more she think the more her head hurts.

Mongkol Socheata hold her dad arm while walking into the event with calm face and proper posture as a high class girl should, make her parents so proud and happy that they're the ones who would be showing off and introducing her. Nisa felt relief when her parents are always near her and introduce her to many powerful individual (all are famous in their own field and influential families).

She don't have to do much just smile and do proper greeting (Cambodian's greeting is like praying but the posture is different as according to the person's who you're performing the greeting to)
and answer some little questions as she deem fit and some who are talkative she talk a bit more with them and it's not hard to converse as they're speaking in the same mind frame just that with some people it's like they don't like you so they don't talk much but this also look good in other people eyes.

After a long while, Lieutenant break off from her and go to join the male group who has similar age and social standing as him while madam also go talk with other madams. So she's left alone holding a cup of orange juice, talking with a famous beautician.

After stand there smiling and nodding for a while, she decide to accept the beautician's name card and act like she'll call her and buy her products, with that the beautician is satisfied and walk away.

She saw a guy look at her, he is about 175 cm, oval face, white skin, thick brows can be said as handsome...very handsome...and the important part is he's looking at her without blinking!

Just that quick glance, Nisa is rooted there feeling cold all over, she remember the guy, she have seem him before...taking and sending the real Cheata to university for a while.

By the time I brought Leela home, she was already asleep. She panted heavily from the pain she was in. Her breath forming little puffs of smoke in the air. She was so close the entire time! If that crow hadn't stopped me I don't know what would have happened to my Leela. At first, I suspected her wound was from the destruction I was causing on the car but, no. It was from magic. Judging by the colour of her scales it was probably a paralyzing spell to stop the movement in her limbs. The fact that she held up this long…


"Leela, I'll relieve your pain, so hold tight for a bit."


I gently laid her down on my bed and ran to my bathroom to grab a bowl of warm water. I needed her to be comfortable while I healed her. I grabbed a few towels and rushed to her. Her eyes were scrunched from the pain and her wings drooped helplessly on the side. A long shimmering gash that was expelling a type of black matter oozed out and dripped down onto my bed. Leela started to shiver and I put her in the warm water.


It instantly turned black. It wasn't Leela's blood, but Leela's repulsion magic working against the paralyzation spell. I gently touched her inflating sides and watched to see if there were any signs of pain or discomfort. Her eyes scrunched shut and I gently moved her onto the side that wasn't inflated. It was my first time having to heal a baby dragon, but I had plenty of experience back at Nanu's house. I rolled up my sleeves and clenched my fist.


"Leela, you will be fine in no time so hang in there, okay."


She closed her eyes against the pain and I relaxed her against the bed for a bit. I felt a bit anxious. I wasn't properly trained in healing magic and there might be a chance that I would totally blow this up. It would be too late if I took her to a vet now. I closed my eyes for a second. Leela started to relax and her breathing came out in soft puffs. I slowly wiped away the blood and started to chant a healing spell.


"Na sakara wa liombe," I whispered and blew, as I ran my finger around her wound.


Gold strings started to attach themselves on the tissue, and the gash started to become thinner as I weaved my magic to close the wound. The only side effect of the spell is that it will leave behind some pain. It's only a spell to relieve the paralysation in her body, but it won't reduce the pain afterwards. There is another spell that's supposed to be used after that, but I don't know which one or how to use it.


Leela slowly opened her eyes as the magic finished sealing the wound. Immediately after, she lost consciousness as the pain started to form at her stomach. I gently wiped her with a towel and held her in my arms. It's better that she loses her consciousness and falls into a deep sleep. Though it hurts me to think that way, it's better for her to cope with the pain.


I carried Leela and put her on a pillow before I quickly changed the bed covers and put out a new washed one. I quickly put Leela on the bed and supported her with pillows. She was sleeping soundly by the time I came back from washing the dirty sheets. I smiled and sat by her side eating some cake. I don't know what I would have done if I couldn't find Leela.


The magic I used was light, and it would be almost impossible for a mage to track it down. I sat relieved with that fact and decided to think about other thoughts. I smirked as I recalled the annoying squawking bird. Thanks to its help I was able to find Leela, and even though I left in a rush today, I was utterly grateful to the crow. That's why I decided on making him more bread, to reward him the next time we meet.


I went to go get something for Leela to eat when I heard loud and sharp knocks rap at the door. I recognized those knocks immediately. My mood instantly darkened.


"I thought those donkeys were gone," I muttered.


I decided to ignore the knocks but I felt like the people outside wouldn't leave even if I didn't open it. The knocking started to continue again after a few minutes and I grabbed my shawl and wrapped it around myself.


"What do you want?" I spoke from inside, without opening the door.


"Miss, please open the door," a familiar voice came from the other side.


The Salmaan guy. From the sound of shuffling feet coming from the other side of the door, it seemed like there was only one of them there.


"Please, leave. It's late at night and I have to rest," I said through the door.


"I understand Miss, but I have just come to apologize for the unfortunate behaviour, my senior and I have caused you this afternoon. We will reflect on our actions and will receive the punishment we deserve," his fake-ass voice tried to sound guilty.


I knew they were trying to just bribe me with some half-assed apology, just so I wouldn't report this to the local police department. I grinned at how shallow-minded these donkeys were.


"I do hope you get to reflect on your actions, Sir. But I still feel the need to consult the police and formally submit a report to the Imperial Mages. The events that played out today tremendously affected me and many others as well. I don't think this matter can be dismissed with just an apology," I tried my best to avoid cursing at him, as I said that.
He went silent. I nearly snorted. I would feel even more disgusted if he tried to beg down on his knees for mercy. It should be within their knowledge and they have probably been educated on how to deal with commoners. I won't put up with the harassment anymore. 


"Miss, please come out. I promise I won't take much of your time," his voice suddenly sounded a bit desperate.


"Look, I don't have the time to-"


"Please, I want to formally apologize to you."


"I don't like repeating myself. Even if you are an Imperial Mage, I find this very violating and uncomfortable. Please leave."


While I'm being nice.


"I am afraid I can't do that Miss."


"Then feel free to wait out there all night."


I got away from the door and put a chair against it. Just in case. I also kept a broom beside me. I sat beside Leela and softly patted her head. I could sneak into work a bit late tomorrow, I am sure no one would notice in all the hub-bub going around 'cause of the banquet.


I gathered her against me and patted her back. She snuggled into me and I held her close. That dude can wait there the whole night for all I care. I am not the only one who deserves an apology. I fed Leela some warm milk and a bunch of vegetables she liked. It was midnight by the time I was done tending to Leela. I washed my face and got into bed next to Leela.


The lights were off, and the curtains were down. Only a bit of moonlight filtered in through a slit in the curtains. I was trying to fall asleep but the anxiety was keeping me awake. No matter how many times I dismissed the thoughts of the possibilities of the dude breaking in, my hands trembled and my head throbbed from the stress. The anxiety was going to kill me.


I scratched my head and got up. This better be quick.


"Oy."


"Yes, Miss?"


I clamped my mouth shut. Why am I talking like that to a superior? It's like I'm setting a death trap for myself.


"Please stand away from the door."
I didn't wait to hear his reply. I grabbed my broom and wrapped my shawl around me. I prayed for my safety before quickly opening the door and then stepping out.


I locked the door with my key. Just for my peace of mind.


His eyebrow cocked up as he glanced at the broomstick. So what, buddy? My eyes seemed to say what I was thinking and the corners of his mouth lifted. He covered his mouth and looked down before putting on a neutral face again.


He had cast a small light to light up the alleyway. He stood straight and tall. The douche from before gone, and in its place was a stiff man looking like a ragdoll. His face remained neutral as he looked at my state. A brown curl flopped onto his forehead as he looked down again, this time feigning a guilty stance. His light brown skin shone with a faint sweat as he tried to figure out what to say.


"What you say, won't change my decisions on informing the police about what happened today."


"I understand, Miss. I will repent for my mistakes."


"I'm not the only person that you have to apologize to. It would be in your best interest, to apologize to the others as well."


"My subordinate and I will make sure to submit a formal apology statement regarding that."


Okay, so leave dude.


"If that's all, I think we should part ways here then," I tried not to sound happy when I said that.


Bye, bye loser. I hope I never have to see you again.


"Wait-"


I was turning to my door and I had to stop myself from flicking a finger up at him.


"Yes, Sir?"


"The bruises on your face, please let me heal you," he glanced at my cheeks and I wanted to slap him.


Boy, you never know when to shut up do you. I felt defeated and worn out.


"Alright. But please make it quick," I turned back to him and he looked a bit relieved.


He raised his hand up towards my face. I flinched a little on reflex.


"I swear on the name of my household, that I will just heal your bruises," he swore as he stood in front of me.


"Okay, please keep your distance though," I sighed and stood silently.


A light brown thread of magic caressed my face as he slowly murmured words of healing. I wanted to move away from him but he kept me still with one hand on my arm. I felt a dull throb at my cheeks and slapped them a bit. He looked a bit surprised and then smiled.


"Your cheeks will be a bit numb for a couple of minutes, but you will be fine afterwards."


I already knew that. I would have recognized immediately if he was going to pull some prank on me.


"I'm sorry about what I said before."


Bruh.


"Sorry about that, 'I don't give two shits about what you want,'?" I recalled, scratching my chin in deep thought.


He looked uncomfortable and I almost felt bad for the guy.


"I am really sorry about that," he looked at me, guilt evident in his face. 


Geez, why do I feel like the bully all of a sudden?


"Don't worry about it. I hope you're just more careful and considerate with your words in the future," I smiled at him and he stood there.


Damn, what a unique way to make a lady feel awkward.


"Yeah, I'll keep that in mind," he murmured.


He was a bit closer to me than he was before. I had to lift my head a bit to look at him. He tilted his face to the side as he watched me in silence. My palms started to sweat with the awkwardness of the situation. I looked away and tried to slowly inch my way to my door. I felt a bit anxious being there with him, and I felt like he could tell as well.


"Alright-y, I'm off," I waved at him with my broomstick, "Have a nice life."


This time, I didn't wait to hear for his response and quickly stepped into the quiet solitude of my home. I felt more at ease having said that and dealing with him.


I peeped through a small window at the top of my door and watched as he walked away from the door, taking the weird light with him. I was finally able to fall asleep peacefully, as I let the stress from a day of unfortunate events seep out from my body.

After Liu Yang and his group fled in the other direction, they did not find any kind of creature, not even a single creature. Liu Yang thought this was very strange.

Kevin shook his head and said," I am fine."

Running her fingers through his cheeks, Silvia asked," Is it work pressure? Is everything too much for you to handle?"

Without waiting for his reply, Silvia cupped his face and said," Everything is going to be okay. There is nothing that time cannot solve. Give it some time and I am sure that everything will be okay. And I am there with you all the time okay? We will go through this together. They snuggled quietly on the living room couch.
The sky outside the French windows was growing darker, and the wind was howling louder. The dried yellow leaves on the trees fell on the ground and were blown away by a gust of wind. The leaves dancing mid-air were like his own uneasy heart.

Although Kyle would need a while before he could show the full powers of it. When the Devil fruit went into his mouth and began to change his body. 

Kyle experience a sudden pain and stress in his body. And he felt to the floor in pain. As every nook and cranny of his body change, he felt like he was being skinned alive. Not only that, he felt like he was  placed inside a giant burning Sun as every cell, muscles,  bones and blood in his body were transformed.

Gritting his teeth,  he was enduring the pain.  Although the ordeal he  goes through was horrendous. With his 20 points Will Power, he barely managed to not cry and scream out. 

Buzzzzz! 

His body was becoming something similar to an apparition one second and another, it started to look a glistening sculpture made of iron. It continues to fluctuate through several types of form. 

Whooosh! 

Suddenly,  Kyle disappeared from his room. No trace of him could be found. And then, the next second, he would appear again in the room.  This went on for a couple minutes. 

And when Kyle disappeared from his room,  a floating shape of a human appreared in several parts of the World. Sometimes, this flickering floating body would appear at the bottom of the ocean then at the next minute, it would appear on the moon. 

Finally,  after this goes on for over 10 minutes, the changes Kyle's body underwent stops. Even though it only lasted for only about 10 minutes, to him, it felt like an eternity. Exhausted due to the severe and complete transformation,  he lay down on his bed. 

With this transformation, Kyle now finally obtain the power of Mugen Mugen no mi Level 1. Not only that, his body witnessed an improvement by leaps and bounds. 

As he was exhausted,  he did not immediately check his interface but rest for a while. 

After about an hour,  he felt that he could now move a little.  So,  he summoned the interface. And what he saw left him surprised.

And there was a new addition in his skills, and that was Mugen Mugen no mi Level 1.

° Soru : Increase the speed of the user for 2.5× for 1 minute each time. Prolong use of this skill will reduce the multiplier and time.

° Tekkai : Increase the body strength of the user and provide resistance to blunt object and some immunity to sharp objects.

° Throwing : Increase the accuracy of a throw made by the user within a 20 meter radius for 300g. With the increase in the object thrown,  the area of effect will decrease.

° Prying Eyes : Gave the user the ability to see the status of others.

Although there was no improvement in his abilities,  all of the proficiencies had skyrocketed. 

And he was surprised to see that the proficiency of his Devil fruit had increased. So,  Kyle asked the system

To satisfy his curiosity,  the system answered

Hearing this,  he went to the other sections in the system. And when he get to his inventory, there was something in there. So,  he click on it

So,  he immediately went to the Haki section in the shop and buy the Haoshoku Haki Level 1. Then he began to buy the next level of Kenbunshoku Haki, Bushoshoku Haki,  Soru, Tekkai and Throwing.  As soon as he bought them,  the next levels except for Kenbunshoku Haki are immediately available to be bought as the proficiency had accumulated swiftly filled the proficiency points. 

But he did not continue to buy their immediate next level. Previously, he had always used up his points.  But this time,  he wanted to save some for an emergency. And although the proficiencies of his skills are full,  he chose not to buy them as he had not used any of them yet. He wanted to experience each level before he increase their level. And as there wasn't an emergency,  he was not in a hurry. 

As he checked his  leveled up skills, he was happy

° Haoshoku Haki : Gave the user the ability to knock out a person with an average stats of 7 or lower with his will power. And above the average stats of 7, this skill will induce a weakening effect. And with an increase in 1 point of the average stats,  the weaking ability will gradually lose it's potency. The effect of this skills increase along with it's level and proficiency.
