I wonder how many will read this. It is but the words written by a madman lacking sleep. Written only in the middle of the night for extra crazy.

Will this book be read I know not. But I can assure you I am probably mad.


I also wonder how people find this. By accident? Definitely not on purpose. Do they read it and laugh, do they read and say this person is an idiot? I wonder.


Math had always been Zhang Zian's worst subject. He felt a bit lost as Meng Li's question came from nowhere. "What do you mean?" 
Meng Li looked at his watch, and said in a hurry, "If you want to look for a book about life, universe, and everything, maybe try to search in the reference book section. If that kind of book exists, it should be classified as a reference book. I need to go. See you soon!"　　
Before Zhang Zian could respond, Meng Li waved and hurried off with his books.　　
"Wait! Why reference books?"　　
By the time Zhang Zian finally processed the information, and hurried off to the second floor to ask for an explanation, Meng Li was already at the check-out counter, then disappeared in the blink of an eye, leaving Zhang Zian lost.　　
Meng Li spoke with a certainty. Although how life, the universe, and everything could be considered as a reference books, he didn't know, but he didn't have time for a random search. The reference section seemed to be his only option.　　
The books on the second and third floors were split into four categories: social science, science and technology, reference, and literature. If the search was narrowed down to reference books only, it would reduce search time by three-fourths.　　
After careful thinking, Zhang Zian realized something. Both the second and the third floor had reference sections. Should Zhang Zian search the second floor or the third? Or both? Meng Li left in such a hurry that Zhang Zian had no time to ask.　 
He stood on the stairs between the second and third floor. He stood in the way of the readers passing by.　　
Should he go to the second floor or the third?　　
He took out his phone and looked. The icon indicating the elfin's location on the map was already very faint. Judging from his search speed just now, he could only choose one of the two floors. 　 
He couldn't hesitate any longer. Zhang Zian decided to bet on the second floor, since it was the Chinese book area, and the search might go faster. Maybe he'd have enough time to search the third floor after he finished.　　
As he took his first step, he suddenly remembered the moment when the elfin first appeared. Galaxy blinked at him three times. He had no idea what it meant, and Galaxy didn't explain it.　 
Was that Galaxy's way of hinting to search the reference section on the third floor?　　
Maybe he interpreted it wrong, maybe Galaxy didn't mean anything.　　
Since he was clueless, he gambled that Galaxy had given him a clue. He stopped hesitating, returned to the third floor, and went straight to the reference section.　　
The search was narrowed down by half.　　
Reference books had a variety of sub-categories: dictionaries, encyclopedias, manuals, graphs, tables, maps, etc. Zhang Zian had never searched in the reference section on the third floor before, and sighed at the countless books.　　
He bet that Galaxy's blinks had special meaning. If so, what would be Galaxy's meaning of facing the wall afterwards?　　
Wait, which direction did the wall face on the outside? East or west?　
Coincidentally, the bookshelf in the reference section faced east and west Once Zhang Zian figured it out, he turned west and saw the east side of the shelf.　 
The search was narrowed down by another half.　　
He lifted his head to a similar angle as Galaxy, and raised his phone horizontally. He saw the fifth and sixth levels of the shelf.

If he had correctly interpreted Meng Li's reminder and Galaxy's hints, the search was narrowed down to 1/48 of what it was in the beginning.　　
Zhang Zian lifted the phone over his head, and searched row by row.
One shelf, two shelves, three shelves.
Nothing, nothing, nothing!　　
The fewer shelves that were left, the more anxious he grew. Was his interpretation wrong?

Zhang Zian's arm grew sore. As he switched hands, he noticed a slight discrepancy between the phone screen and reality.
His heart was pounding. He quickly aimed the phone back where it was earlier, and saw a crimson book between Diccionario de la Real Academia Espanol and Macmillan English Dictionary through the game interface. The spine of the book was bare.　　
When he moved the phone, the crimson book disappeared. When he moved the phone back, the crimson book was there.　　
That's the book!　　
Zhang Zian tried to remain calm. He held his phone in one hand, while he raised his other hand towards it.　
When he hunted Fina, Old Time Tea, Richard and Famous, he never touched the elfins. After the capture, the elfins existed physically in reality, but during the hunt, they existed between the virtual and real world. He couldn't imagine how they'd feel if he touched them then.　 
Now, he was about to touch a book from the virtual world.　　
He pinched the spine, but didn't feel a temperature. Despite this fact, it felt like a regular book, with the same texture and thickness.　　
He took the book off the shelf.　　
Just as the elfin described, the book had no name. The cover had shiny metal lining on the edge, and was heavy. He couldn't tell whether the book was new or old, but the texture was pleasant.　　
If Zhang Zian was being himself, he would've read the book to find out if the book really talked about life, the universe, and everything. He also wanted to know why Meng Li was so certain that it was classified as a reference book. However, he had no time, so he grabbed the book and ran towards the fifth floor.　
Some readers pointed at the signs on the wall with a displeased look: "No shouting, running, spitting or littering." Zhang Zian ignored them.　　
He returned to his computer in one breath, and typed as fast as he could in the chatroom.

He pushed the keyboard away, lifted the Book of Elfin as high as an Olympic torch, and prayed that he still had time.

"Yes I heard what you said, but why do I have to read this book it is so unfair, I have to work on the project and you will read your reference book; and about my papers I am very good at them I came within top15 for the scholarship." Jacob complained.
The book Sara gave him had around 1000-1500 pages and the font was also small. Then Sara kept three books in front of him which had the same number of pages, and two of them were for the project and the other one was the reference book. Jacob was pissed watching the books Sara showed.
"Okay then I'll give you one more book, fair enough right? Why should I read two books for the project and you one, right?" Sara said in a mocking tone.
"No. It's fine I'll read it and mark the important points." Jacob said before Sara could go and get another book.
Sara felt it was very cute, unknowingly she had a smile, watching her like this Jacob felt nice. The two were in the library for an hour after that went to their dormitory.
Sara really good, in the beginning she felt that it was quite awkward but then she felt comfortable around him.
Jacob was always felt comfortable around her. As they reached their dorm they both were talking freely to each other and had exchanged their numbers.

Jacob was happy. 
He had a habit of writing a diary. 
'I am very happy today. Sara was walking right next to me, she was talking to me, and she gave me a book to read it a book we have to use for reference. She has two books with her, she says that by two days we will brief the important points, for me it is difficult to mark the important points from one book I wonder how she is going to do the same with two books plus she has to refer the reference book for her studies. She asked me to work hard on the project since she didn't know how I was at my papers, but seeing her worried about my marks I felt nice. That's it for today.'                                                                                           

"Can you scan my body?" Xylos said

"Cannot scan the spirit body," PS000 responded

Xylos expected the result. Unless he entered the book physically like last time, there wouldn't be a way for him to identify what kind of life form he is. However, he felt odd that it can determine how much time he has left. 

Connecting the dots, it seemed that his astral and spiritual state determines how long he can live instead of his physical body. Thinking deeper it makes sense, the most likely cause of ARTHs dissipating is the lack of a self.

Consolidating his memories, when he first arrived at the breakfast area, ARTHs other than the female and Marc, everyone mechanically ate their food. While touring the various faculties, unless an instructor was leading the class none of the ARTHs would be out and about doing self-directed activities. They lived liked drones waiting for the next order or task. How did Marc and the female maintain a sense of self was a mystery.

Xylos played around with the system for a bit and noticed that it was much more limited than he expected. For example, if he asked it to create a cube, it would generate a generic white cube with no discernable features. 

After thinking for a bit Xylos needed some way to define an object. He would need tangible variables, that he can adjust, control, and observe as he went about his experiments. 

"Create a new variable called height," Xylos said.

"Please define <Variable>" PS000 responded.

"A <Variable> is a symbolic representation of feature of an object"

"Variable module created. Scanning repository for <Variables>"

After several minutes it said, "Variable repository created. 1 000 000 000 entries. Possible variables for 'Length' toe, finger, nail, league, step, small, hand,..."

A cluttered list of measuring methods appeared, looking at the possibilities gave him a headache.

"Reduce all possible variables for 'length' to a numeric value greater than 0. A length of 5 is equal to the 1 toe"

"Removing redundant entries...optimizing...done!" PS000 said

"Create a cube with a length of 100 on each side," Xylos said, and soon after a 100 cm cube appeared in the air. The easiest metric was done.

"Search for <Variable> color" Xylos continued,

"Possible variables for 'color,' red, blue, green, white, black..." All possible color names appeared.

"Reduce all possible variables for 'color' to 6 hex. Hex values from 0 to F. FFFFFF is black, 000000 is white, FF0000 is red, 00FF00 is green, and 0000FF is blue. All other color is a mix of those ." It was slightly more complicated, but Xylos hoped it could derive the mixing method.

"Error, unable to optimize based on the given information. Added reference to Black as FFFFF; added reference to White as 000000..."

As expected, PS000 wasn't a true AI, it was something like a calculator that can store, identify, and modify information. Thus, if he connected all the color names with the hex values, he would be able to get the desired result but it wasn't worth the effort.

Using the same approach. he created and optimized several variables and object modifiers. It took a very long time but at the end of it all, he could finally describe the key features of an object.

"Create an object with the <Shape> = <Dagger>, <Dagger.Blade.Hardness = 10>, <Dagger.Blade.Length = 50>, <Dagger.Grip.Length = 10> made with <Dagger.Grip.Material = Soft Leather>" Xylos said. An illusion of a 50 cm dagger with soft leather grip appeared in the air.

He then wrote a rune scroll with the same parameters and compiled it. The same dagger appeared in thin air, but this time a spell information dialog appeared:

Description: A spell that will conjure a really hard dagger

He had no way to gauge what it meant by Lethality since he didn't have a physical body as a point of reference. The only way he can obtain a point of reference is if he had PS000 copy his body and simulated what a Lethality of 1 or 10 was.

He smiled for a moment since he now had a way to simulate various "Programs" in a realistic virtual environment. Once he creates a copy of himself in this "System" he can safely simulate programs and experiments that might be able to resolve his current predicament and future obstacles. 

The moment he relaxed a wave of exhaustion washed over him and he felt his spirit body being sucked back into the physical world where he instantly fell into a deep sleep.

The next day, Xylos had a quick breakfast, grabbed a bag of baked bread, 100 stacks of rune paper, and 5 bottles of rune ink. Then, he performed some random action before the legendary book and mentally pressed the red button on the key. A moment later he appeared before PS000.

"Welcome, Master Xylos," The stage said as Xylos jumped onto the stage.

"PS000, scan my body and create a duplicate. Show me all the relevant information." Xylos said

"Scanning..."

"There it happened again," Tyler said as he called his boss over, "I think he found a way to access the book."

"Interesting, get someone to bring the book into Room B01. When he comes out, we can finally find out why the previous owner of the book is dead set on getting the book back." The Supervisor said.

"I thought the book was donated?" Tyler said

"I wouldn't say it was donated." The Supervisor smiled, "We received it as collateral when we bailed him out of a debt. If someone can enter and exit out of a book it has to be at least a mystical or legendary item. ARTH 737 managed to find a way to enter and leave at will. If we can find out from him how before he disappears, this facility would have made a significant contribution to our corporation."

"What if he resists?" Tyler asked

"We'll restrain him but as one of the few conscious ARTHs, we can probably offer him a deal. A living being should have an opportunity to live comfortably no matter how short it might be." The Supervisor replied, "Keep up the good work recruit."

Tyler looked at the Supervisor with a surprised expression. When he was hired as an intern at the facility and saw that the experimental subjects were humanoids, he thought that the members of the facility would be hardened, and apathetic to living beings but the way the Supervisor approached ARTH 737, was very human. This made Tyler feel better, but it also made him wonder what is the true purpose of the research facility.

Location: Somewhere in an underground facility

"We detected a signal from one of the Legendary fragments," A worker in a black, red and blue military uniform said.

"Great, where did it come from?" The Coordinator said

"It appeared at a research facility in LaPlace. Managed by..." The worker hesitated and said, "Life Plus Corporation."

The Coordinator cursed and said, "Contact the CO, we need to gather our elites to retrieve that fragment as quietly as possible. Try to keep the casualties to a minimum, we don't want such a big corporation after us. Life Plus Corporation huh, I don't think they'll care much about losing a book, maybe they don't know its true identity yet."

Xylos was copied from another universe into another with all his memories intact into the body of an "Artificial Human" at an experimental facility. It was a world of magic with a familiar system, but alas, as a failed product with an incomplete core, he only has a month to live. How will he survive?

As I was standing there in the white plain room, holding to the pieces of steel plates in my hands, I was a bit dumbfounded at what to do next.

"Ceres, what do you suggest I do right now?" I asked and Ceres recommended me to make some furniture inside this white room that would serve as my main room whenever I start to enter this realm.

I soon began to visualise about how great it would be to have my own two-seater throne here with comfortable and thick cushions for me to sit on and relax.

I visualise the same old two-seater bamboo throne from the elevated platform of my domain and I could see its simple designs but of sturdy materials. 

After I had visualised the two-seater bamboo throne in my mind and twirling it around a few times to get the whine design in order, I heard Ceres calling me out to open up my eyes.

Lo and behold...! The two-seater bamboo throne was right there in front of my eyes and even though the design was a bit better than the one I had, I managed to conjure up such things easily...!

"Audemars, things that you are familiar with would be easier for you to visualise and conjure up in your mind."

"If you had not encountered any new things by touch or by sight, the visualisation would fail. Right now... How about you visualising a book stand with plenty of reference books like an encyclopedia of sorts?"

Ceres suggested me to reach out and visualise a set of encyclopedias that could only mean one thing... These reference books would be able to show me what is the future all about...!

"Alright, let me give it a try. Encyclopedia... Here I come...!" inclosed my eyes and visualise a book stand, much like the one I have in my study and as for the books, I visualise the word encyclopedia and each book had a reference from A to Z.

The encyclopedia sets that I visualise would tell me what lies in the present and the future and would have all sort of machines, transportation such as horseless carriages and those standalone distillers and the burners and greenish-blue canister beside it. 

I visualise the encyclopedia to be able to tell me with in-depth information and how to construct the pieces together. It took me quite a while to visualise how large and thick the encyclopedia as it would also cover the animal kingdom on land and at sea as well. 

Complete with engineering concepts, I also visualise the everyday things that I had seen before when I was shown the images of the first 3 people that I had transmigrated in. 

I didn't know how long I was visualising it since Ceres didn't give me an indication as I tried to think back of the image and all the things that I had seen to be explained inside the encyclopedia. 

After sometime later, Ceres sounded and instructed me to open up my eyes. The moment I opened up my eyes, I saw a floating bookcase next to my two-seater bamboo throne and Ceres informed me that I had forgotten to set it down to the ground. 

"Small matter, Audemars. What I need to do is to adjust the gravitational force of the bookcase and set it beside the sofa. That's what's its called in the modern times." with that the bookcase floated and settled itself beside the sofa and I went over to inspect the sofa and the set of encyclopedia. 

Each encyclopedia was referenced from A to Z just like the annals and journals that we used to have. The thick covers of the encyclopedia and the size itself was quite large and I removed the first encyclopedia marked as A and carried it over to my sofa. 

I settled down and was about to flip the encyclopedia when Ceres sounded again inside my mind. "The encyclopedia would only be useful if you had known about certain things."

"Like for example you had taken a taken a reference termed as A. Inside it you would not find something like aeronautics or aerospace but you would find some common knowledge on automobiles, the later ones you had driven before."

Those were what you refer them as horseless metal carriages."

What Ceres had said was true enough, most of the pages inside the encyclopedia reference A was almost empty and only contain certain information that I had associated with before. 

I flipped through armour and was surprised to see a lot of pictures and information dated from the Byzantine era right to modern wear. It seemed that I had once seen it being worn by an assailant that I had managed to impale him or her with a sharpened bamboo stake. 

Not only the encyclopedia has pictures and information on a certain set of armour but also in-depth knowledge on how it was done. Anything that was in the last had been shown as well as the furthest future. 

It seems that I would be spending a lot of time here in the realm and do a lot of reading. In that case, I would visualise a study desk that was being made by Frank way back before they were made of bamboo and reed and make something similar. 

I closed my eyes and visualised a study desk and a dining chair that I used to pull around to sit instead. After some time I opened up my eyes and I saw the exact study table and chair beside the sofa. 

I stood up and rearranged the study table and chair to the appropriate position so I would be able to sit back and read the book with better concentration. Next, I conjure up some paper and some quill and ink and it too appeared on the table. 

The purpose of having this paper and ink was to record down several important information from the encyclopedia and bring it back to the real world. "That's good, Audemars. You really learn fast and you knew what could be brought in and out from the realm to the real world." 

"One more thing I had to tell you is about the time consumption and duration here in the realm and the real world. One hour spent in the real world would equal to three hours here in the realm." 

"Which means you could spend more time here since the flown of time here is much slower than the real world...!" 

I was sweetly surprised to realise such existence since I only knew about the 1:1 ratio wherever one would be in the parts of the world. However here it's 1:3 and means I have more than enough time to hang around in the realm and be able to perform more things up to three times the normal rate back in the real world. 

"Ceres, do you have a timer or something that indicates how long I had been here in this realm? I would like to conjure up a mechanical clock but then the clock would need to be winded like the one in the domain and not from the future."

"There is, Audemars. The clock is ticking right at the left hand side of your information screen panel. It's the same timer that was used to record your achievements and this is counting backwards means its a countdown timer instead of behaving like a sports stopwatch."

A sports stopwatch? What in the world is that? I know what does a countdown mean and also it seems I do need to spend a lot of time in here as well. 

I looked at the countdown timer and saw that I had more than 2 hours left in this realm so I decided to do something more worthwhile regards it. 

I placed the encyclopedia back in the book stand and picked the 4 pieces of steel plates and stepped back as I pressed the directional button on the virtual information screen panel until I reached where the machines were.

During the period of 1337-1453, a terrible war broke in Medieval England and that period was called (Hundred Year's War) and a huge turmoil ensued between the England and France with the involvement of rebels as well as opportunists. 

Prince Audemars Macleod, a descendent of King Richard Macleod of Darlington had barely managed to escape with his life when the Manor he was living in was besieged by rebels in 1440, when he was just barely 18 years old.

Let us travel through time and relive the experiences of this young Prince as he was forced to 'banished' and survive with some followers they entrusted their lives with him.

Little did he realise that he was actually living in the past of his future and had no recollection of anything except when he was narrated by a Seer that had been inducted as a permanent resident of the town he founded later.

*This is a fictional world. Most plants, vegetables, fruits and certain animals didn't exist in England that time.

*Almost all novels start off with a system. This does not reveal any hint of a system until you get to almost halfway through the novel. 

* Mobsters are included in the later chapters of this novel too.

"Well looks like we've got work to do."

Checking through the training scrolls for mages and experimenting with their use, Kyle was able to see that they had one thing in common. The mana feed largely ran through the chest node and through one of the nodes in his brain. The node in his brain was located almost exactly in the centre, between the two hemispheres. Confirming that he was correct about the node relating to magic being in the brain, Kyle then grabbed the only technique which was aimed at producing a sorcerer.

This technique was the same one his mother practised. It was called 'heavenly deliverance' for some reason. When Kyle started experimenting with this one he saw as usual some mana flowed to the chest node whilst the remaining flowed equally between the mage node and the node in between his eyes, which was the same one that ached when he tried to use his soul sight externally. Remembering that arrays have some soul energy in them and can only be produced by sorcerers, this started to make sense and maybe when he's stronger he'll be able to externalize his soul using the sorcerer node and sub-nodes.

There was a question now however. Within the brain there are 3 nodes the mage node, sorcerer node and another located towards the back but he couldn't tell if this was related to anything specifically. As there was no problem with training all these nodes and the ones in his body, in fact these all seemed designed to help people become stronger.

Now that he had an idea as to how his body now operated Kyle created an analogy so he could understand his new abilities better. The main channel was like a power grid which was capable of sending energy where it was needed, while the nodes were like solar panels which could provide power directly to where they were installed or back into the grid as needed taking some of the pressure off the grid and allowing a gradual increase in power on the grid. Finally the sub-nodes were like power outlets which allowed the use of skills. The sub-nodes also used a small amount of mana to heal and strengthen the body over time.

Finally Kyle turned his attention to the final book which Shauna had brought with the cultivation techniques. This book was simply titled 'Introduction to array creation'. This book looked old as the binding had started to fray but as this was produced in the standard form of the empire the pages would last indefinitely. On the first page Kyle saw a note which read "To my student, never cease to reach for the stars". Kyle realised this was probably the first book his mother's master had given to her on her way to become an array master.

The first array that was listed in the book was the light emitting array, which was the same array that was used in the lighting in his home rather than using torches or candles. This array was charged regularly from a large central mana crystal within the mana. While these mana crystals sound impressive they can be found in many places with a higher than average mana and are collected by low level hunters as the crystals that humans use can be found relatively close to the cities. Also these crystals are not a finite resource as they can re-grow at a reasonably fast rate.

Demon beasts are also known to eat these crystals on occasion, but they tend to go for the stronger crystals found deeper in the wildness away from the cities.

As Kyle was reading the book he began to get a handle on how arrays work. Usually an array would have a central glyph. This core glyph would be the purpose glyph which leads to its main function, in this case the core would be 'Light'. There is a circle drawn around this glyph which in turn is surrounded by several other glyphs. These surrounding glyphs are the control glyphs including some that regulate the amount of mana used, the overall light output and converting heat back into light. All in all it was a rather impressive setup which left Kyle thinking about the possibilities. 

Reading further through the book, Kyle saw a few additional arrays including barrier arrays, heating arrays, water production arrays and wind generation arrays. He also saw an array which was written in his mother's hand, this was the shock array which could deliver a mild shock to people who touched it. Kyle couldn't work out why his mother wrote this array down but then had an idea. This array was very similar to a shock pen so it appeared his mum was a practical joker when she was younger.

Later in the book there was also a reference to a formation. This is when multiple arrays are laid and linked to produce a special or secondary effect. The most obvious one was for Kyle's bath which had hot water meaning there must be a water producing array and a heating array in a formation. 

There was no limit to how many arrays can be linked in a formation, however you must be careful as the more arrays are linked the more chance there was of an error occurring due to a conflict between the arrays. This may simply cause the formation to fail but there have been instances where the formation was caught in a cycle until it exploded. This was something Kyle needed to be careful of. 

The glyphs used in the arrays looked very similar to written Chinese or Japanese and also had a similar layout in that one glyph could represent a whole word or concept. Kyle was curious as to where these glyphs came from or who learnt how to use them. 

Thinking about the uses of these glyphs and further uses, Kyle was also curious as to further development in them but he would probably run into a dead end due to the length of time people have been using them. But then it hit him, quickly flipping through the book and double checking he couldn't see anything about using two core glyphs. 

"They can't be that stupid, can they?"

Saying this aloud pulled Miranda out of her cultivation. Looking at Kyle with a curious gaze she asked him 

"What do you mean master."

Realising he'd spoken aloud he looked a little embarrassed and started to explain to Miranda what he'd noticed.

"Well I was just reading through this book and noticed that there was no reference to using two core glyphs in an array just that you should use an array."

Thinking about what he said light dawned in Miranda's eyes as she understood what he was talking about but then she posed another question.

"What difference would it make?"

Kyle in turn thought about this. She was right but he couldn't help but think he was missing something, when finally it hit him and he began thinking aloud while Miranda just watched him narrate enjoying his explanation.

"Each of the arrays in a formation has a specific purpose. Each array completes its purpose then adds its contribution to the whole. This means that if an array fails in its purpose it can affect the whole, but if you can complete multiple steps within an array and test it's completed function before adding it to the formation there is less chance of a fault occurring and it would also mean debugging would be much easier. You could also include more controls within each array so there would be less chance of an explosive failure."

As Kyle narrated he used a term 'debugging' which Miranda didn't understand but could guess due to what he was saying. Kyle for his part didn't realise that he was mixing previous life knowledge with this world. His debugging reference and his ideas on the arrays and formations were related to when he looked at producing a web page using html. This was back in the day so it was really awkward and the last time he messed with code he found it much easier. He read up on this and found the code used a 'black box' approach with code being used to an effect then being mixed with other 'black boxes' to complete the project. Kyle then decided. 

"Righty ho, we are going to start an experiment."

Joseph was just an ordinary working class drone. He arrived every day on time and clocked out to the minute until the day he died. But this wasn't the end as when he awoke he was in a strange space which lead him to his new life.

I woke up feeling a bit energised. It looks like a whole day of boring class can be tiring too.

I tidy myself a bit with cleaning charm then exited my room. I cast tempus and its three minutes before the dinner starts. 

I walk out to the common room and see that no one is in here. It looks like they are in the Great hall now.

I make my way to the great hall with a single thought in mind, Food. I entered the Great hall and become startled. They are all looking at me, whispering with each other. 

I pay no heed to them and made way to the Ravenclaws table. I seated in the first year seat and get myself some meat and veggies. I eat silently and feel that they are still looking at me.

I looked to my right and asked. "What?".

"Where were you? we didn't saw you at the library." Anthony Goldstein asked.

"I am in my room, taking a sleep. Why? did something happened?" I asked with a confused look while eating my food.

"Did you see that?, look." Lisa said, pointing at the top of the Great hall where the scores are shown.

I looked and I see that the Ravenclaws have a total of 100 points while the others just have 10, 15, 25. I look at her and asked. "So, what am I looking?" 

"Did you see that score? Almost all of it is yours, and its just the first day. The whole school are asking everywhere how our score is that big. Some Hufflepuff know that you are the reason in our score. They spread it in the whole school and all of them are looking for you." She said without stopping. The first year around us is just nodding at her every word.

"So? What's the problem?" I asked while drinking apple juice.

"Nothing. just, sigh" she said not knowing what to say anymore.

"So did you finished your homework?" Terry said in my side, trying to change the topic.

"Yes." I said while eating a dessert.

"Can I see your potion assignment? Im not going to copy it, just for reference." He asked holding his arm together while facing me.

"Sure, here" i said, giving my potion assignment.

"Thanks" he said with a thankful  look in his face. The other first year saw it and ask if they can look at it too. I just said its okay and let them, were ravens we don't copy so Its okay for them to look.

Finished with my food, I stand in my seat and bid goodbye to my housemates and walk to the Gryffindors table.

I see harry is still friend of the pig. But not as close at the movie, he just looks like an extra. I seated in side of Harry while his other side is Neville and in Neville side is the pig. I don't want to see the pig eat or I'll puke. In my side is Hermione that is looking at me with the look that saying 'explain'.

"Hey guys, how are your first day?" I asked to Harry and Neville trying to escape the storm.

"It's okay, we got transfiguration first, we change a match stick to a real silver. The second is charms, Professor is talking about you in class, he said that you taught the class how to cast lumos and nox making everyone can cast it before the class end." Harry said, hearing harry talks about the class Neville cut what he is saying and said "Herbology is next, Prof. Pamona is so good...." he said not stopping to tell how great is Herbology, sigh typical neville. 

Cutting him is Hermione that can't take it anymore and asked. "How did you do it?" She asked looking as if she is interrogating me.

"What?" I asked looking as if I dont know what her saying.

"The score! Some Hufflepuff said its you who got that score." She said pointing at the scoring board.

"Ohh that? Just answering the teachers questions" i said to her with a smile.

"No, it can't be, I answered the teachers questions too but I didn't even get a half of what you get" she said looking at me with not convinced expression.

"Well, how did you answered their questions?" I asked to her.

"Of course by telling them what written in the book." She said looking confuse to my question.

"That's why, I answered their questions with my own word and understanding. Books are just for reference, not for everything. In making assignments if you copy what the book states, the only grades that you will get is EE or A." I said to her. Hearing what I said, she seems contemplating what to do.

"Im going to give you an advice. Reading books is okay, just don't frequently and just make it a reference not everything. Study the magic with your own, you don't know what the mystery it holds that is nothing in the books." I said patting her head with a smile.

She seems look enlightened to what I said, she gives me a smile and a confident nod that saying I will surpass your score. I just gives him a challenging smirk.

Continuing to talk to them for some light topics like the teachers. I didn't forgot to tell Harry to read the potion book. He seems confuse first but seeing me serious, he accepted it.

When the Dinner is finished, all of us got back to common room. I joined my house in leaving. When we entered the common room, all of my year mates continued their homework while the higher years are reading, for seventh year the Newts while the third for the OWLs.

I said goodbye to them and goodnight saying I'm going to sleep first, which I'm not going to do. I plan to go to the Forbidden Forest and explore it to see if I can invite some Centaurs and other beasts to my world. I will also look for some plants that I still dont have.

I apparated to the entrance of the Forbidden Forest with the Elves apparation that can enter and leave any wards. I checked if anyone saw me and seeing that no one see's me, I entered the forest activating my invisibility ring.

Venus White was inconsequential in regards to the matter of the position of the class leader. Instead, she was in a very terrible mood and lowered her head. Sara Joseph's efficiency was very high, not only did she arrange the seats very quickly, but she also selected the class leaders' positions very rapidly.

Winston canon volunteered to be the class monitor. Rank two, Lina Jane became the academic committee monitor. Jasmine Martin was chosen by the class as the art committee monitor, and Trivis Harvey was also chosen by the class as the sports committee monitor.

After Sara Joseph had almost completely arranged the entire situation, it was lunchtime.

"Ok, everyone have a good rest at noon. At two o'clock in the afternoon, the class monitor and the sports committee monitor should take some boys to move books and bring our class books down!"

"Ok!" Different from venus's gloom, Trivis Harvey who was happy ever since the seat arrangements occurred, answered ostentatiously.

As soon as Sara Joseph left, the classroom became lively.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ——" Almost as soon as she left, Trivis guffawed uproariously on the table, pointing to Venus in laughter.

Venus knitted her brows.

"Hahahaha! It turned out to be an underachiever. Ai, I thought you were supposed to be a top student*? You self taught yourself the entire course of grade two? Hahahaha!! Do you want me to laugh to death? " Boys in this grade are overconfident* and don't know how to restrain themselves.

Venus glared at him and stood up.

"heyy? Are you angry?

"I'm not!" She accelerated her pace.

Trivis's  feet are long, so she wasn't able to evade him. He continued to catch up with her and lowered his head down to look at her: "What are you running for, if you are not angry?"

Venus stops for a moment, stands firm, and breathes deeply: "Trivis, because...   Now it's a lunch time and I'm going to eat!"

After she finished retorting, she continued to walk to the canteen quickly.

Trivis stopped his footsteps and curled his lips. The voices of several tall boys came from the basketball court in the distance——

Brother Trivis! Do you want to play basketball? "

"I'm coming!"

When Venus sat down with her food at the table in front of her, Daisy White immediately saw her.

She doesn't like Venus White with her clean face. That delicate face always reminds her of her childhood, when her mother only dared to pull her secretly to look at the family of three.

The father was happily holding his princess, yet she can only be in the back, secretly watching.

Fortunately, it's all hers now.

Daddy is hers and Miss White is her.

"Daisy, what are you looking at?" Two girls next to her asked.

Daisy White smiled, and very gently, shook her head: "It's nothing."

She put down her chopsticks, took out her mobile phone, and sent out a message.

Her eyes were coldly watching Venus White and her mouth was slightly raised.

She didn't want to see Venus White. Year one was so good. Venus wore heavy makeup and didn't come to school very often.

The food in the canteen of Dragon empire is better than the food in the canteen in Eunice's previous life. The Martin family is not short of money. In the morning, Steven Martin fills 10000 dollar in her meal card and says it is her living expenses for this semester.

No matter much how she eats, she won't be able to finish the money. It was nice not to worry about living expenses.

Venus White raised her mouth and contentedly picked up her chopsticks.

After lunch, relatively everyone went back to the classroom.

Trivis takes a few boys to move the books into the classroom. Sara Joseph stands on the platform and directs everyone to pass out the books.

Venus's eyes were bright, and they stared at the books directly.

The second year of high school is the craziest year to absorb knowledge. There are six courses in science, each course has two reference books to accompany the teaching materials. There is only one reference book in the other classes. The experimental class is special, and there are two reference books.

All these books and texts are stacked together, covering the table.

When Venus receives the books, she neatly stacks them on the tabletop, and unhurriedly places them into the drawer.

Trivis Harvey who sat next to her tossed all his books straight into his drawer, creating a "Dong——" sound.

He put away his book and saw his desk partner sitting upright, with her back ramrod.

He saw the other party slowly place a book one by one on the table and took out a stack of large and small grid covers of the same color from the drawer. Then, while he was gaping, she placed the books in the covers conscientiously and meticulously.

"Pu——" Trivis almost choked to death, and then burst out in laughter, "Hahahaha! Venus white, can you not be like an elementary school child? Is there anyone else who covers their books these days? Hahaha, I'm about to die from laughter! "

It was not Venus who interrupted Trivis 's laughter, it was Sara Joseph.

"Silence!"

Her eyes swept them sharply, and she raised her voice: "Trivis, Venus! Stand up! "

Venus was stunned and stood up blankly  with her book.

"What are you guys talking about so happily? Tell me so I can hear too? "

Venus white was completely stunned. She knew that she had been dragged into trouble. Because of her poor performance, she was naturally regarded as the eyesore of the teacher. Subconsciously, the teacher thought that they were talking, causing Trivis to laugh.

"What? Cat got your tongue? " Sara Joseph sneers, "Other people are quiet. Only you guys are joking in the back, even if you don't study, can you not affect others?"

"I don't care how good your family is, or how you guys entered into this classroom. Since you joined this class, you have to obey the rules when you come in. I don't care if you don't learn, however, if you laugh in class and affect others, then I can only ask you to leave! This is the first time, but I hope it's the last. Other students, too. Do you hear me? !"

"we hear you!" All fifty students spoke at same time.

Sara Joseph finally said: "Alright, sit down,"

Venus held her head down and despondently sat down.

It seemed that she could still feel the ridicule of others on her body, which was an unprecedented experience of humiliation and embarrassment.

Venus lowered her head and rigidly wrapped the cover of the books. Trivis looked at her a couple of times, until Sara Joseph went out to answer the phone. He turned around and said, "heyyy*? What's the matter with you? "

There was no reply and the person next to him was still wrapping the books as if she didn't hear him.

"hey you!"

Trivis approached with his head, and suddenly he was stunned and asked foolishly, "Are you crying?"

Venus still did not look up, only a transparent water dropped, "Pata " a drop fell on the table.

Trivis shrinks into a quail, not a sound passing his lips.

Said Asher whose expression finally changed for the first time since the day his childhood friend Was taken from him by his father
No longer with a stiff complexion Asher's face was like that of a child receiving a new toy, Asher started looking through the leather bound book
The book started with a simple explanation of what we call "magic" and how do we use it
Magic or Magia in the language of the gods is an all-encompassing source of mystical energy that exists infinite layers above the normal 4 dimensions (AKA: length, Width, height and time)
This source of energy can be harness by people who can use more than 10% of their brains, people who can harness this nigh-infinite energy can use it to manipulate, bend, circumvent and even violate the laws of reality without facing the consequences
Although magic is enigmatic it can be categorized into different principles depending on the way you use it, these principles are:
Mind 
Time
Matter (or states if you wanna sound knowledgeable)
Energy 
Space
Soul
Force
Entropy 
Order
Balance 
Performing magic requires you to be in complete balance with your surroundings
Since magic is present within every being dead or alive, intelligent or not to perform magic a person needs to focus and "feel" the magic within themselves and control those inner magic to reach out and bend the external magic present everywhere around you
Once you have a certain amount of magicol (magical energy) under your control the three most important factors in using magic come into play: calculations,comprehension and visualization
Calculations are very important because you have to calculate everything when it comes to magic from the amount of magicol you need to use to the effect, ramifications and efficiency of the spell everything needs to be precisely calculated or there will be dire consequences 
Comprehension is important because in order to bend one of the rules of reality you first need to understand it and all it's variant so that you know exactly what your spell need to do and how that spell does it
Visualization also important, because manipulating magical energy to achieve effects requires an insane amount of concentration, being able to visualize what your spell will do is essential for concentration 
This is why the minimum requirement to become a mage was that you have the attribute of intelligence above 5 and the conventional training for a magic caster is based on the goal of allowing them to use more then 10% of their brains, because if you can use more of your brain it doesn't matter if an opponent has higher intelligence than you, you're essentially untouchable to them in a magic fight 
(It's pretty strange for them to categorize time and space as two different things since according to Einstein's theory of relativity they're basically the same thing)
Remembering the countless hours he studied physics and theoretical science Asher thought
(Wait that gives me an idea)
A thought flashed through Asher's head giving him a great idea
He poured through the book about the two principles of space and time and using each as a reference point for the other he was able to gain a deep understanding of the two in only about 1/9 of the time normal people would have to study to do the same
(I knew it the principles of time and space have a lot of the same patterns that one needs to follow in order to use both)
(So by studying a little bit of both and using them to fill in on the missing details of the other gaining a high level of understanding for both is quite easy)
Branding what he learnt into his mind Asher decided to applied the same learning method to all the other principles
He used force,energy and matter as a reference point for each other, applied the principles of entropy to the principles of order and balance and finally use mind and soul to gain an understanding of them both too
And so what will normally take a few years to learn for even scholars, this 9 year old kid has learned in less than a few hours of reading
(Ok so I've learned the basics of magecraft now all I need is to practice)
"Now what else should I know?"
Putting the black leather book back to where he found it Asher thought on what he should read next
Exploring the seemingly endless isles of the library he took out whatever book that seems interesting to him
Going through them all he found nothing interesting just more information on the lore of Ziost, the different cultures of the world, and more studies on magic that were just more specific versions of the "ars magica" (Author: I've decided to not do any exposition on Ziost since there's already enough exposition in this novel and it would be more interesting to do some world-building on Ziost in later chapters anyway, nobody likes exposition)
Hours were spent looking and reading books and he still found nothing new until he came across another black book that was titled "do not read if you're not prepared"
As a person of endless curiosity the peculiar title was almost intoxicating to Asher
This new black book contained information on ritualistic magic or "edicts" if you like to use the mage's terms
Edicts are magic that cannot be performed normally and require a catalyst or multiple catalyst to perform, the effects of edicts varies but even the simplest ones are capable if infinitely violating the laws of conservation of mater and energy
The more powerful ones on the other hand can warp reality itself sometimes on a universal scale, cause a total event collapse and rip through the very fabric of existence 
Asher devoured every word and information the book showed him for some reason the things he found in there only made him want to learn more
Many known edicts were recorded in this book but the one that caught his attention the most was a spell called "the alignment of celestial links" which was said to be the most powerful edict ever performed and through all the history of Ziost only one person was able to successfully cast it
The requirements for this edict to be performed is:
"On the day every celestial bodies in the solar system perfectly aligned (which only happens once every 1000000 years) the ritual must be performed at the top of the tower of fate, on the throne of resolution with the piece of nothingness, the book of destiny, the sword of chaos, the all-seeing monolith, the overclock and the blood of the forerunners as catalysts"
If the edict is performed perfectly apparently the person who cast it will be granted one wish by god himself no matter how absurd or impossible the wish it
Apparently only one person has ever successfully performed this edict, and he did it three times using a combination of time-travel and planning ahead,but the book doesn't go into detail on who is that person or where did he came from, they just called him "the dark one", all it tells Asher is that this person has outsmarted the world three times
After memorizing every word Asher felt incomplete because he was still curious but the book had already ended
Deciding to end it here for today Asher left the library and went exploring the city before going back to the orphanage
