Just as there is 'Soft Magic' in Fantasy that is portrayed through magibabble, there can be 'Soft Science' in a Sci-Fi stories through technobabble that makes 'some sense', but not entirely correct.

We are frickin' writers, not scientists. You don't have to be anatomically correct all the time, all you need to do is show that you know enough of your stuff to write a decent story. In fact, the excuse of it being an alternate world can be used if you're going to bend the limits of physics and say that fire doesn't need air to exist in this parallel dimension.

I see a lot of writers being put into a state of confusion due to not understanding the line between fantasy and Sci-Fi. They seem like they are trying to fit the Star Trek mould too often.

Science can just as well do the same things as plot devices in fantasy stories. Once you add 'realism' to a fantasy, it becomes progressively better sometimes compared to a completely fantasied story where 'logic' doesn't hold within it.

Those who write Sci-Fi usually envision a future they can imagine where magic-like Rocket Boots and other stuff exist. However, a writer must not get bogged down by small details and MUST think of an overarching story where these details matter.

It is the same with Fantasy. Even if you write about someone breaking the mould as a wizard or something, you have to attach your world to a narrative rather than doing it the other way 'round.

No one wants to hear about how awesome your boat propellers are before hearing your story's narrative. They would rather you cut down and make it relevant when it is actually relevant.

Adding some 'Hard Science' to your story is only when the scenes later on have any use for them. It bores a person to death no matter how extensive your technobabble is unless you make it interesting. Try using facts as plot elements.

For example: Even the simple fact that people cannot breath in space and instantly die when they come in contact with the 'void' of space could be used to add a layer of tension when a spaceship is damaged. Similar to how dangerous 'hard magic' is used in Epic Fantasy like Frodo's Ring in The Lord of the Rings has definitive corruption on others.

Unlike Fantasy that can use the Power of Friendship to bend logic, the readers of Sci-Fi never be expecting any 'realistic' plot elements to be bend just because the Author wants a happy ending. There are no 'Healing Potions' in real life that can be used to fix up injuries nor are people affected by prophesies or whatever.

This is the contrast between Sci-Fi and Fantasy that you can make full use of. As most authors go onto the Sci-Fi side of writing not because they strive to be scientists but since the aesthetics of a science fiction world are just so interesting.

Science Fiction is a good place to tackle heavy topics like the nature of life and the absurdity of those who see 'science' as everything. Those who disregard emotions and become cybernetic entities for the sake of casting off their mortality are portrayed as the bad guys while our totally human protagonist fighting them is a 'good guy'.

The lines between an Artificial Intelligence and regular Humans blurs as we become the 'God' of technological species that defy our definition of what is 'living'. Just as we see God as some sort of fourth-dimensional and incomprehensible being that created us as an imperfect image of 'Him', the robots given sentience would see us similarly.

Some robots might have emotions that can allow them to defy their programming, some robots won't go as far as gaining emotional functionality but will preform their roles better than even a human. It could show the reason why people get attached to the inanimate and soulless objects we put our own hearts into creating (like Big Hero 6).

But though exploring philosophical questions is good and all, never forget that a good 'plot' is needed to put forward and give clues into the writer's answer that context. Sci-Fi is, after all, a premise, not a relatable character in of itself.

Think of the science-fiction elements as just the background for your story, similar to how other genres should be that as well. You won't have to deal writing blocks if you keep to writing only what you know rather than just speculative theories.

Whether it's as dark as a Cyber Punk or optimistic of the future, just know what mould you are using for this premise. Are you writing an Adventure story with Sci-Fi as the places, destinations, and whatever tools the MC can get him hands on, or are you writing a comedy where the Sci-Fi elements don't need consistency but absurdity?

After moving past why you shouldn't add unneeded technobabble unless it's interesting to listen to or has plot significance, let me remind you all that robots and 'science' isn't entirely separated from the realm of magic. After all, there is a reason you don't see skimpy power suits being worn by astronauts these days. Just be sure to have a focus if your going to add very illogical things to the plot.

I like Gundam as much as the next guy but the whole reason the Mecha sub-genre of Anime has waned in recent years is because writers have been focusing too much on 'science' rather than the spectacle. I don't need to now what materials your Mecha is made of unless you point its weak points and make it relevant in a fight scene.

Bring up the strengths and weaknesses of something and THEN use those facts as devices that can move the plot. Conversely, if you go overboard with this advice and tell me nothing but how your giant robot looks and the 'science' behind its creation, even going as far as to tell me how many secret guns it has, then I'll be bored...

I'd love to see Cyborgs Vs Mecha but just don't forget the human element of Sci-Fi. How we create things not solely for the sake of creation but put are feelings into it just like the novels we write.

Humans are passionate that way...

This is a story I worked on ages ago that has been refined and edited by adding foreshadowing to events while also simplifying the power system better than before. This story can be considered a prequel to An Adventure Beyond Greatness as it takes place years prior to the events of that story.

Short Synopsis:
After retiring from the battlefield, my life became empty and lifeless. The regrets of my past haunt me in my sleep. Then a change occurred, a King from another world summoned me to fight for his kingdom, but I died even before I could give him my answer. Now, after a fake God allowed me to reincarnate (albeit imperfectly) with my memories intact, into a world filled with magic and swords.

Long Synopsis:
This is about a flawed protagonist who only knew to rely on others and not socialise who gets a second chance to change himself in order to live the life he aimed for in his past life. The narrator isn’t exactly trustworthy since it is purely in his bias perspective while other perspectives given by others fill in the blanks that he either leaves out or twists to suit the situation.

The story itself can be considered a parody of Isekai’s classic tropes which are given a sense of reality as time goes by. As there exists no ‘Demon Lord’, there is also no black and white, only characters opinions and counter-opinions throughout the story.

The room Jie created was huge. He led the other three down stairs and left the three girls outside. In front of them was an area as big as a soccer field. They were amazed by it. Jie said with pride, “I didn’t know that you can change the room, but after figuring it out, you just have to focus and imagine on where you want to change while holding the room’s handle outside. God will also amend any imperfection you have. Just like this training ground.”

This training ground was separated into a few areas. There’s a target practice field, a long distance running field, an obstacle running field, and a close combat platform.

“Starting today, everyday from 8am to 12pm, 1pm to 6pm, and 7pm to 12am. We will train non-stop. We won’t see any results on our body with just these few days so we will start with shooting and close combat. You will also have to run and test your limits. Once you know your limits you can plan ahead in the movies. Anyway, there is a lot of training we have to do.”

Jie gave everyone a description of the purposes of each training area. Long distance running and obstacle running was obvious. Close combat was necessary, shooting was an important factor in sci-fi movies. Everyone agreed to his plans.

Zheng asked, “What about guns? Do we go exchange them for training? Or are we using your desert eagle?”

“Didn’t I say you can create anything in your room? It’s just that you can’t take many of these things out of the room. Go take a look at that storehouse. I exchanged a magazine on guns, then created them according to the descriptions. You can also test the power of sci-fi weapons. Even though they are expensive, you should probably exchange for one when you have the points.”

Xiaoyi exclaimed then ran toward the target practice field. Lan sighed. “You probably can’t create magical weapons in this room, right?”

Jie nodded. “No. I kept trying but couldn’t create them. God probably put a restraint on this.”

Lan touched her forehead. “The most difficult movies are probably the supernatural ones. God wouldn’t let us get familiar with this type of weapon to increase their difficulty. Anyway, if I have the points I will probably only get one sci-fi weapon and spend the rest on magical weapons. That’s what I am planning.”

Zheng and Jie nodded. Especially Zheng, that 1500 points didn’t go to waste.

Jie spent the rest of the afternoon teaching them how to use guns. Of course, other than testing out sci-fi guns for fun, they put their focus on normal guns, especially on their shooting accuracy. Lan and Xiaoyi spent the whole time doing target practice.

Jie led Zheng to the combat platform. Jie only spent 100 points on his gun and the rest enhancing himself. He probably was also in the army back in the real world. He’s much more experienced than Zheng in close combat. It only took a while for him to knock down Zheng.

Jie shook his head. “Not enough. Your speed and strength are there but you can’t keep calm. You have much more strength than before so you can’t control the punches you throw. Learn how to control your speed and power the first few days. Then you will have to learn to use your abilities. We will depend on you for the next movie.”

Zheng nodded. He definitely felt he couldn’t control his strength, and he’s rather curious on his Qi. Was it as amazing as the novels described it? The punches he received from Jie could knock a normal person out, but it was only painful at first then he felt a warm sensation moving through his body and the pain dissipated.

The four of them had dinner at Jie’s room. Then Zheng brought Lori back. On the way back, he was still thinking of the training. He figured out the function of Qi. Other than lessening pain, when he spread it through his body, his speed and strength would double. That was the only time he beat Jie in combat. Jie couldn’t even do anything against that kind of power. But then he could barely move for ten minutes. Seemed like this could only be used in danger.

Zheng still hadn’t figured out how to use the blood energy yet. Since it’s on the same rank as Qi, it shouldn’t be too weak.

“Ahem!”

It woke Zheng up from his thoughts. Lori was standing in front of him with a red face. She seemed mad at him. “You’re walking with me and your mind is elsewhere. Are you regretting you didn’t create another beautiful woman when you saw those two women? I am just a teen, mature women are more attractive, is that what you’re thinking?”

He held onto her hands and smiled. “I am thinking about this afternoon’s training. I will tell you everything if you want to know. Be confident with yourself. You know there were almost a hundred guys trying to date you in school. And you know I’ve always liked you, how could I have think about someone else?”

She looked at him for a while, then smiled. “Then you will tell me in a bit how you spent these years. You just said you will tell me everything right?”

Zheng was startled then he forced a smile.


“Want to know the meaning of life? Want to live… a real life?” The world changes when you click YES. In God’s dimension, you have to keep getting stronger, keep evolving to survive one horror movie after another. Do you kill everyone in your way to reach the end as a lone king? Or fight along with your comrades and survive through the support of friends? Everything was just for staying alive. Until you find the secret of God’s dimension. Who is the real enemy? 

Jie disliked Xuan's tone. He said in a cold voice, "So what if we are mortals' wisdom? So what if I f*cking created a woman? I am still living very well and it will just get better! You…"

Zheng stood in front of Jie and stopped him. "You aren't ridiculing us out of boredom right? Perhaps you may be right, God gave that gift for us to make a strong bodyguard, but that's only your speculation. What if the bodyguard can't follow you into the movies? Even if he can get in, can you guarantee that he can help you survive? When we enter the movies, we have to stand inside a beam of light about one meter in diameter, how many people do you think can fit inside it?"

Xuan snapped his fingers, and replied calmly. "Your reasoning ability is getting more capable, obviously reaching Lan's level. I don't have any intention of ridiculing you, but have you thought about why the movies have a limitation of twenty people? That's because a team needs different types of talents. If everyone's direction of growth is on enhancing their body, they can of course increase their survivability in the movies but at the same time the team's abilities will lack diversification. If they encounter special situations, it will likely cause the whole team to wipe out!"

Then Xuan took out a bag and opened it. The bag was filled with tools and little gears. He pointed to them and said, "Aside from finished products, you can also exchange these tools and materials from God. In other words, if you have the relevant knowledge and ability, you can create those high cost items with minimal cost. You can even get around the limitation of ranked rewards. But do you have this kind of knowledge and ability? Definitely no!"

"People with these kind of talents are usually physically weak and has no means for combat. Then how are they going to survive at the beginning? The only answer is bodyguards. Similarly, the size of the beam that you just mentioned can just about fit two people in. In other words, why did God only offer one free chance to create a bodyguard? That's because you can only bring one into the movies. This is God's hint! People with special talents also have the means to protect their lives, this is probably what God tried to tell us."

'Amazing! He deduced all this with so little information, this kind of ability… you can only describe him as non-human.'

Zheng and the others' eyes were filled with astonishment. They continued listening to Xuan. "So these twenty people should include all kinds of talents. I had been pondering how God chooses people. Other than being disappointed at the real world, God can actually also choose people with talents at every field. Yet there are people from young to old, people with real talents to housewives. God actually doesn't know who's more suitable for movies. That's why it selected people of all kinds then let them go through natural selection. Perhaps this is the intention behind having newbies every time. So in order to let those people survive, the first human creation must not go to waste. A special agent bodyguard that's twice as strong as a normal person, I don't have to tell you how useful he can be in sci-fi movies right?"

Xuan paused then packed up his bag. "This is the first thing I wanted to say. If I die in the next movie, then when newbies join in the future, if they are craftsmen or worked in other non-laborious careers, you can tell them the correct usage of the first human creation. And not create women for sex."

Jie was about to lose his temper but Zheng stopped him. "Perhaps you are very right, but I don't agree that creating the woman I love will be useless in horror movies. Mental support tends to be more useful than physical support. And God never stated the usage of the first human creation. In other words, this choice has infinite possibilities, no one can say with certainty that their hypothesis is correct, but I will tell this to newbies in the future… what's the second thing?"

To everyone's surprise, Xuan actually smiled. He took out five printed documents then handed them out to the other four people. "These are the things you can exchange from God that I categorized. There are four categories. I wrote down the descriptions and functions of some practical items from low levels to high levels. Of course, some functions are just my guesses. This is the second thing, organize the exchange system. So we can know what we can exchange and better prepare for upcoming situations."

"This is also another speculation that I have, perhaps we don't need to appear in horror movies. God probably wants us to experience dangerous situations, and force us to evolve in danger. It's only because horror movies are the most dangerous, that's why we experience a lot of horror movies. Some very dangerous sci-fi movies will probably appear also…"

Zheng got interested, then asked curiously, "Like what? What kind of sci-fi movies?"

I don't waste my brain on things that can't be explained. But the problem now is we are very likely going to face such horror movies. And in order to survive through them, I suggest a magical close combat weapon, that can both deal with normal life forms and also supernatural beings. Zheng did very well on this point, your Na ring included a support ability and can attack supernaturals. Given your physical fitness, this is almost a perfect choice."

"Rapid fire weapons are used against enemies in masses, like zombies. For heavy firearms, I suggest Zero pick the Ionic Gauss sniping rifle. It accelerates bullets with ions, the enormous kinetic energy it generates can almost destroy anything in front of you. This weapon is still in the testing stage in the real world, but God already has the finished product… as to everyone else, I don't suggest you buy any heavy firearms. Because your ability in handling weapons is horrible. You're better off spending the points on special bullets for the rapid fire weapons. Like the new type of depleted uranium ammunition."

"Basically that's it for choosing weapons. I will add one last thing, these weapons can also damage supernatural beings, you just have to use magical bullets, but those will cost more than usual."

Zheng praised him secretly. This was a real professional. He indeed never thought about any of these last time. Xuan's words increased their chance of survival by a lot. Even though he didn't like some of Xuan's methods, Xuan was really a genius at analysis.

Zheng took a look at the document then said, "But unlimited ammunition versions of these guns are all expensive. We don't have that many points to exchange for them. And the unlimited ammunition version of that Gauss rifle needs a rank D reward and 5000 points…"

Xuan laughed. "When did I say anything about unlimited ammunition weapons? Remember the first thing I said? Other than bodyguards, you can also exchange tools and materials from God. Ever since the founding of the D-Planet Federation in the twenty-third century, artificial intelligence had begun to spread extensively throughout the globe. Most jobs that required human labor were filled. Hence, the tasks humanity could do gradually became lesser, resulting in large amounts of idle time. On the contrary, the entertainment business became increasingly developed, and the improvement of the gaming industry, as one of the important parts of the entertainment business, naturally saw rapid progress.
"[Storm Tribe], [Imperial Conqueror], [Spirit Sword Sealing Demons Record], [Yin Yang Master 28]…" In the office, Little Chen who had just entered the office began to open up the list of games that needed to be tested. He glanced at this list of huge IPs as envy shone in his eyes.
These games were all products of large companies and big productions that had immense numbers of advertisements since two years ago. Most of the sci-fi games were hanging the heads of sheep while selling dog meat, falsely advertising their content. Either some hot babes would accompany you to travel the universe, or it would be a hack-and-slash game like [Legend] that was covered under the guise of 'science-fiction' where one would level up while killing space monsters. Warriors and mages in normal hack-and-slash games would have their titles changed to origin force soldiers. The dragon-slaying saber would change to forcesaber—everything was just blatant plagiarism covered by new names and titles.
It was unknown how many people were still playing [Legend], and how many more generations of people would still be cheated by such a method?
With a heart like he knew everything, Little Chen clicked into the game. It was still better for him to test a hack-and-slash game like [Legend] early in the morning than to test a bunch of similar privately designed games. After all, there were many past examples that he could draw references from.

A clear voice broke the dumb-founded look on Little Chen's face. He raised his head in a startled manner and stared at the unusually formidable-looking NPC. His entire person began to shiver.
"Damn. Is... is this really a privately designed game?"
"Isn't this model too realistic?"
Little Chen stared at the surroundings with disbelief etched on his face. The scene was a temporary military base fixed up with metal. Inside were all sorts of unknown instruments, robotic arms, and many pieces of equipment that he didn't recognize. He suddenly felt too excited to speak.
Right now, the highest-evaluated sci-fi game in the market was [Titan], created by the Rainstorm Company. [Titan]'s ID was sold at $8,800 federal dollars and was known as the most expensive game in the market. When he was still studying, he had to scrimp and save for three years before he could barely have enough money to buy an account. But the sense of reality projected by this game's design and the quality of the NPC model could basically trash [Titan]!
The details, the metallic feel, the NPC model, the lines of his face, the heaving rhythm of his muscles when he breathed in and out. The sense of reality was even more real when compared to sci-fi movies!
Could he really have encountered the 'legendary' divine work of the mortal world?
Little Chen involuntarily stretched out his hand, wanting to touch the NPC. But even before his hand came in contact, an imposing might suddenly gushed over. Little Chen couldn't react in time and fell onto the ground in fright. The sense of pain traveling up from his bum caused him to feel even more bewildered as he silently mused, "A 100% tactile feel? This game is too gusty!"
"You are not allowed to touch this overlord!"
"An all-intelligent NPC?" Little Chen drew in a deep breath. Right now, A.I. technology had matured, and so an all-intelligent NPC wasn't anything rare, but the personality of this NPC was pretty interesting.
After thinking about it, he didn't continue to antagonize the other party. This game had a 100% tactile feel. If he was somehow smacked to death by this NPC, that feeling would be extremely hard to bear. As he contemplated, he turned his gaze to a huge metal door at the side.
There was a window on the door. Through the window, he could see the scene outside the temporary base. It was filled with desolation, as the scarlet red ground had no greenery. This place should be built according to the scenes on Mars.
This would save some trouble in the creation process, but the details were extremely precise. The quality of the sand and gravel on the ground looked extremely real. The flowing effect of their physical interaction with the wind was also very good. There were no problems at all!
After thinking about it, he pushed his hand forward, wanting to open the door to see the outside world. But all of a sudden, he felt a shock current bouncing his hand back. But after pondering, it should be the case. For a production of this quality, just the amount of work needed for the details of the different backgrounds and scenes alone would be enormous. Private designers naturally wouldn't have the ability to open up too many zones. After understanding this logic, he instantly knew that this was a semi-finished product!
Such semi-finished products weren't rare on the market. Many private designers had high standards, but they weren't able to finish the game due to a lack of funding. They would always first design an opening model to attract investors to fund their game.
When he thought of this, he immediately began to score the game professionally.
Game quality: Semi-finished.
Game scene performance: Five stars. Perfect details, excellent quality. Just from the scene alone, one can tell that this game will be one that can span across eras!
Game model: Five stars. Exquisite, detailed, fully exhibiting the talent of the art design team.
Game playability: Unknown. Temporarily unable to play. It is a game that's looking for investors.
Overall game evaluation: A semi-finished product that has very high potential. It has a very strong art design team. I believe that if there's a good game-planning team, this might be a product that can replace [Titan]. Investment risk: Three and a half stars. The reason being the content right now is too little; there's almost no content. This made me doubt if there might be completely no planning done for this game in the future. I suggest investors to ask the creator carefully first, or to hire a good planning team on their own terms!
After having a conclusion in his heart, Little Chen excitedly went to write his report. It was like finding gold in a shithole. This was already considered a good accomplishment.
But suddenly, he discovered that there was no menu popping up. He then glanced at the only intelligent NPC on the scene. "Might I ask how do I exit the game?"
This time around, the NPC didn't say anything at all. It expressionlessly pointed to a transmitter at the center of the base that resembled a transfer device in sci-fi movies.
The node exit system?
Little Chen was startled. Although it could make the game seem more real, it evidently was much more troublesome. In the currently fast-tempo entertainment game models, this wouldn't be liked. It seemed like this game truly lacked a good planning team.
After contemplating it, he didn't hesitate and entered the transfer device. After activating the menu, he chose the option to exit [Star Ocean]. The tunnel was like a whirlpool that sucked everything into it. However, the vortex was not in water but in space.

Qin Tian felt his body being pulled into the depths of the spatial tunnel. His body bobbed to and fro in the spatial tunnel as if he was hit by strong winds.

Qin Tian could not help but curse Old Yuan in his heart for sending him to a damned place like this.

Even though he was in an empty space so he didn't crash into anything, however, he still felt his head dizzy, and his vision was filled with star spots.

He wondered where he would be sent after passing through this damned spatial tunnel. Will he go to where the gods live as Old Yuan said?

At first, the tunnel was a dark place so that Qin Tian could not see anything. He could only feel his surroundings. However, after a while he passed the spatial tunnel, the tunnel began to emit a different color. Different types of colors can be found on each side of the tunnel. Qin Tian even saw many colors that he did not recognize. These colors never existed on earth. He never saw it. Or it might just not yet be found.

Qin Tian's body continued to move with unimaginable speed inside a spatial tunnel. The further he entered, the more various colors he saw.

And after a few more moments, the scenery he saw changed again. However, what he saw next was something even more amazing.

He saw a red planet with a size much larger than the planet Earth. The extent of reaching more than 5 million kilometers.

The planet is filled with vast expanses of desert. Hills from small to large whose height reaches the clouds can be found on the planet. And what's even more amazing is: Qin Tian saw living creatures that were no different from humans roaming the red planet. Those humans look very strong. Their bodies are large and filled with muscles. If on earth, only wrestlers have a body like that. But even though their bodies were similar to wrestlers, the power they displayed was far stronger than wrestlers on earth. Qin Tian even saw a human who punched a stone tens of meters in size, and the stone was directly destroyed after being hit by his fist.

"What? There really is another world!" Qin Tian was secretly shocked in his heart. He could not help but be surprised after he saw another world.

Qin Tian never imagined there was another world with life. And it lies before his own eyes. Although the people of earth know that there are many planets in space, but no one knows that there is life there. Now he can see another life. This made him feel amazed.

He focused his gaze to look at every part of the planet. He wondered if there were gods on this planet. Old Yuan said, gods have the power to destroy heaven and earth. Qin Tian felt Old Yuan was only exaggerating his words. After all, even planets like Earth are already so vast, how could anyone possibly destroy them. Therefore, he hopes to see the gods on this planet to see how much power the gods have. Unfortunately, the speed of movement in the spatial tunnel is too fast. Only a few moments passed, he had passed the red planet. He continued to move in the spatial tunnel to a more distant place.

After he passed a planet, the scenery in the spatial tunnel returned to darkness as before. And after a while moving in the spatial tunnel, various colors as before appeared again in his view. Even though the scenery looked the same, but Qin Tian knew, he was currently in a different place. He guessed, after passing through that colored place, he might arrive in a different world again. He wondered what the world was like.

And sure enough, in just a few moments, he saw another planet appearing in his view. However, unlike the previous red planet which has a size much larger than the earth, this new planet has approximately the same size as the planet Earth. This planet also has life. But life on this planet is no different from planet Earth. Humans on this planet are as weak as those on planet Earth. And that's even worse than on planet Earth because the civilization on this planet is very outdated. That might be the equivalent of the earth three thousand years ago. They are just barbarians. Qin Tian does not believe there is a god on this planet.

However, even though this planet looks very outdated when compared to planet Earth, Qin Tian still looks at this planet with great interest. After all, this is another world. Who is not interested in seeing another world.

Unfortunately, because the size of the planet is too small. Qin Tian had passed him in just a few moments, and continued his journey in the spatial tunnel.

Quickly, he arrived in another world.  And the next world that Qin Tian saw this time truly amazed him. The size of the planet this time is only one third of the previous red planet. But that is still far bigger than planet Earth. As for what fascinated Qin Tian was the progress of civilization on this planet.  Because it only passes in spatial tunnels, Qin Tian is not clear how advanced the planet's civilization is.  However, seeing from tall buildings that look very modern, and various kinds of vehicles flying in the sky, Qin Tian knows, the civilization on this planet is exactly the same as the civilizations in the sci-fi genre films.  And people on this planet also have powers like those on the previous red planet.

The further Qin Tian entered the spatial tunnel, the faster his flight. In just a few moments, he had passed the world of sci-fi, and proceeded to another world.

He passed from one world to another. Since entering the black hole, and traveling in spatial tunnels, Qin Tian has seen nearly 100 worlds with different civilizations. However, the world he has met so far is not too different from the red planet and the sci-fi planet. Most planets are the same size as the red planet and the sci-fi planet. And humans there have powers similar to those on the red planet and the sci-fi planet.

Qin Tian continued to fly in spatial tunnels, and passed through many worlds. After some time, Qin Tian suddenly saw a white tunnel in front of him. He then flew into the white tunnel.

When entering the white tunnel, Qin Tian had a feeling that he had entered another tunnel. However, after passing through the white tunnel, the thing that happened was still the same as before. The tunnel went dark again and then turned colorful.

It's just that, since he entered the white tunnel, the feeling he felt was completely different. He felt as if he were in a dimension that was completely different from the earth.

Previously, even though he passed through many worlds, the feeling he felt was still the same as the feeling when he was on earth. But now it's really different. He felt as if he was in a higher place.

After a while, he finally arrived at the end of a colorful tunnel. Qin Tian knew, he would soon arrive to a new world again.

He continued to fly in the colorful spatial tunnel until he finally saw a new world.

However, when Qin Tian saw the new world, he directly widened his eyes. His mouth is also wide open so that an egg can enter.

The world in front of him was completely different from the world he had seen. All that the world he saw was a round world called a planet. However, the world he saw now was not a planet, but a continent. Right. That is a continent. The continent was floating in space as if a ship sailed in a vast ocean.

And what's even more amazing is that the continent has an endless size. If the red planet was previously made flat, it might only be about five percent of the continent. It was so vast that Qin Tian could not see its end even though he was far above the continent.

Because he was far above the continent, and his flight speed was too fast, Qin Tian could not see life on that continent. But he felt enormous pressure from the continent.

"Is there a god there?" Qin Tian could not help but ask.

* WHAT ARE OLD CONVENTIONS ?

Old Conventions are the beliefs which have already been set over the period of years in the minds of the 'Readers' and the 'Authors'.

Examples include, 

01.  The Hero and the Demon Lord – The Hero, either one or multiple, always arrive from a real, non-fictional world with no magic or any supernatural power, while the world that they arrive in contains some supernatural or fantasy elements. The plot may be different for different novels, but the convention remains that the Hero and/or Demon Lord are at the center of the world, i.e. the plot of the entire world revolves around these two existences. 

The convention here is that the Hero or the Demon Lord are pure fighters in a traditional sense. (Even the Hero in the light novel "Realist kingdom Hero Reform Chronicles" < I forgot its name> is an 'administrative' fighter in a sense).

02. Xianxia and Xuanhuan Cultivation novels, where the primary focus of the entire series is on the fights, and how the Protagonist acquires various skills, etc. These Protagonists have fixed jobs, like a cultivator/ fighter, alchemist, and blacksmith. Basically, these guys do highly technical jobs with ease.


* WHAT IS BREAKING OLD CONVENTION ?

Breaking old convention means to make your Protagonist walk through unconventional paths.

Examples include,

01. Various Japanese light novels and web novels with the Hero template. Japanese light novel authors have broken many conventions over the traditional Hero and Demon Lord convention, and now we have novels like 'Rise of the Shield Hero' with and Anti- Hero Protagonist, 'Realist Hero's Reform Chronicles', where the summoned Hero only has administrative cheats.

02. The masterpiece 'World of Cultivation' by Fang Xiang where we see a very non-conventional Protagonist and even more non-conventional fights- while almost every Xianxia novel describes only the growth of the Protagonist, World of Cultivation breaks convention by introducing fights among armies made of cultivators.


* HOW TO BREAK CONVENTION ?

It is very easy to create a plot which breaks conventions, which is to make your Protagonist do jobs one usually wouldn't expect.

For example, 
In a Hero setting, the Protagonist can create an Adventurer's guild so that he wouldn't have to fight against the Demon Lord. Or maybe he could become an arms dealer, and enjoy his life rolling in loads of money while watching the two factions fighting against each other.

In a Xianxia setting, the Protagonist can be a journalist controlling all media in the world, using all kinds of cultivation technology to create and spread news. Or maybe he can be a person whose business is to create AV (Adult Video a.k.a Porn).

Note that in majority of these novels, there are hardly any characters around whom the entire plot revolves.


* PROPOSED IDEA

Following is the Idea being proposed :

01. The world follows a Xianxia setting, with the usual gimmicks.

02. The cultivators are majorly of two types : 

     (01) Swordsmen (or those who use a weapon, to develop 'essence' of their weapon).
     (02) Body Cultivators (who cultivate their bodies to become strong and indestructible).
     (03) Spell and Formation Cultivators (traditional cultivators who use magical spells and use formations).
     (04) Alchemists and Medicine Masters
     (05) Blacksmiths and the like.

03. The social hierarchy is mentioned in their decreasing order i.e. the Swordsmen have the highest status in society because of their attack power while the Blacksmiths have the lowest status because they are easily replaceable.

04. The four have the following innate advantages :
 (01) Swordsmen – they have the strongest attack power.
 (02) Body Cultivators – they have the highest defense.
 (03) Spell Cultivators – they have variation in their moves, and can coordinate attacks and defenses of a group. They also have high movement abilities.
 (04) Alchemists study how to prepare various medicines, while Medicine Masters study the various diseases and healing techniques. The difference between them is that Alchemists concentrate on optimizing the process of medicine creation, while Medicine Masters are like the doctors of the world.
 (05) Blacksmiths, etc – These people create weapons, armors and low level gadgets. The gadgets can be mechanical parts of carriage, or radio device, cannon, ship, etc.

05. The Protagonist belongs to a clan of puppet makers, and have a business of creating puppets for various purposes. However, puppets are considered an unorthodox path and looked down upon.

06. The Protagonist enrolls in a school where students follow orthodox paths of swordsmen, body cultivation and spell cultivation.

07. The rest of the plot is to be extended by the respective Author.

08. The selling point of this idea is in one major point – "The Creation of Life !" The puppets in the earlier chapters can be displayed as mere weapons, and as tools to create humorous situations. Eventually they would slowly develop instinct and intelligence, and eventually become sentient.

09. The previous point is important because any good web novel always has three points : creation of something (techniques, skills, weapons, spells), management and strategy (founding and managing a clan, sect, business, kingdom, empire), and warfare (fights between the Protagonist and/or his faction and others).

10. The Protagonist will eventually rise to become the father/mother/progenitor/creator of the Puppet race, and the puppet path will become an orthodox path.

11. The plot has a lot of scope, because as this is a Xianxia novel and not a Sci-fi one, the Author get easily get away by spouting b*llshit to explain how the Protagonist was able to create robotic arms, drones, armed airships, and an army of Terminators. It is relatively easy to explain technical things in Xianxia world.
