Life has no shortage of cruelty and hardship. If the pain of living can be avoided, if one can escape the anguish that propels our limited existence forward, then what left is there? Is it worth continuing on? We will all die eventually, but half-dead people most certainly die sooner than most.
  
Conveniently, Henrietta cannot remember much of who she is or where she comes from. But, when you have nothing, you may as well move forward.  Plenty of people wish they could have a second chance at life. Henrietta doesn't know if she wanted such an opportunity to start over, but she's plenty relaxed enough not to worry about such things.
  
What could a new life have in store for a rotting little one?

In which Harris Ainsworth, a pissed-off rich kid meets Henrietta Aurelia Lennox, a stressed heiress

31st May, Military Academy Training Center; Hancent stood before Heima, her eyes moist at his departure. He pulled her into a hug, ruffling her hair as he kissed her forehead.
 
"Heima," He muttered, his voice trembling at the separation, "For the next one year, take care of yourself; don't get into fights, study hard, and always maintain a steadfast mentality."
 
"I know, Dad; you have mentioned it 23 times by now." Heima sobbed, increasing the strength in her hug. Only when she heard a light grunt from Hancent did she extricate herself from the hug, gazing at his pained expression with worry.
 
"Espers have a normal human body; only our brains are developed." Thinking back to the statement Hancent had said to her before, Heima apologised. Due to her emotions, she had failed to control her strength that was increasing day by day.
 
"I forgot to mention this;" Hancent said as he fetched a small side bag he had brought with him, fishing out a book from within, "This was a gift from your mother. She had specifically created this with the help of your grandfather, compiling many details that would be helpful for your future."
 
Heima saw a thick book, approximately filled with 300 pages. The binding of the book was a shade of white, engraved with many designs she couldn't make sense of, and exuding an aura that made her body shudder in fear. She also noticed slight trembling of Hancent's hands, showcasing the level of the creature the book was made from.
 
"The materials of this book came from a Tier 5 Floating Spider, hunted by your grandfather 2 weeks ago. It would have been better if you hadn't obtained such a high sync rate, but what's done is done. Now, focus on raising your strength; with your accumulation, you could attempt to become an Amplifier within 6 months." Hancent placed the book in Heima's hands.
 
The moment she held the book, her legs gave out under her, her entire body shivered, almost convulsing. Hancent then waved his hands, lifting the book from her hands and placing it above the nearby table.
 
"It contains many techniques related to training a powerful physique, increasing your strength, methods to breakthrough until a Shifter, and processes to awaken certain Skills. They are confidential information that is the accumulation of our Bone family, so I don't need to specify it right?" Hancent said, helping Heima stand up.
 
Her legs still shivered, but she grit her teeth, harnessing her mental strength to control her body. "I know, Dad; I won't allow others to peek at it, moreover, even touch it." Sitting on the nearby bed, Heima took a couple of minutes to rest, thinking about the book.
 
"Dad," She said, pointing at the book, "This is releasing such a strong aura. Based on what mother said, why haven't the teachers rushed here by now?"
 
"Good observation," Hancent praised, pulling out a small box that looked like it was made from bones, "That is thanks to this box. It was made using the bones of your grandfather, its prime uses being to suppress the aura released by the book. When you are done browsing it, put the book inside this box and close the lid. This will ensure not an ounce of its aura is released."
 
Hancent opened the bone box, using his Psychokinesis to place the book in it, closing the lid shut. He then wiped a trace of sweat that covered his head, muttering, "I was using my energy on the box to suppress the book's aura all along. It was quite draining; after all, both the book and the box are Tier 5 Artifacts."
  
"A Tier 5 Artifact…" Heima muttered in a daze. Only then she realised the extent of her Bone family's affluence, it was significantly greater than her expectations. It was also partly due to her parents shielding her from all relevant information, lest it affected her childhood.
 
It was prohibited by the military to reveal the social standing of a person's family until they underwent the Induction Ceremony. This was to ensure that the children grew up in a normal environment that would enrich their lives, having healthier mindsets. Since such laws were personally enacted by Rhachis Ancestor Light, no one dared to defy them.
 
9:00 PM, Hancent noticed the time in his wristwatch as an announcement went off, the sound echoing throughout the military campus.
 
"All parents accompanying your wards, please leave the premises before 9:30 PM. I repeat, all parents accompanying your wards, please leave the premises before 9:30 PM."
 
"I should get going. Your mother is departing for the raid tomorrow." Hancent accompanied Heima, walking to the Head Office. They noticed many other parents, accompanied by their wards. Some were sad, some were hesitant, some were anticipant, and some were overjoyed. Sporting all sorts of faces, the group consisting of hundreds of people walked towards the Head Office.
 
A large hall came into their view the moment they entered the Head Office, a wide lift occupying the centre, looking massive, being the only object in the spacious but empty hall. One after another, the parents entered the lift, in groups numbering around 40. Having been one of the early arrivals, it was their turn before long.
 
Hancent turned to Heima, consoling the girl who broke into a fit of tears, "This is a valuable life experience, cherish it. Starting from tomorrow, life here in the military academy would be hellish, but you'll be fine. Just remember everything that your mother and I have taught you in the past month."
 
Seeing the child nod with a grief-stricken expression, trying to control her tears, Hancent felt his heart being crushed with pain. He controlled his expression, trying to look normal in an effort to instill confidence in Heima. He hugged her, and kissed her forehead once again, ruffling her hair into a messy bird's nest as he entered the lift.
 
Seeing the lift doors close, Heima plopped on the floor, tears streaming out of her eyes uncontrollably. She then stood up, running through the crowd, her gaze focused on the floor before her. Returning to her dorm, Heima slumped on her bed, burying herself on the pillow, the sounds of her sobs filling the room.
 
7th Ring, Sector 12, Baker Street, 3rd Residential Complex; Hancent entered the 28th floor, walking towards his house. Swiping a card, placing his fingerprints, and scanning his retina, the door opened. Hancent entered, a dark home came into his view, lacking the vitality that a regular household ought to possess. Switching on the lights, Hancent closed the door, removing his shoes and jacket.
 
He threw them haphazardly, sitting on the sofa, gazing at the ceiling, his mind distracted. After what seemed like a long time had passed, the door to the living room opened. Henrietta entered, habitually hanging the thrown jacket in the hanger and placing the shoes in their respective spots. She then noticed Hancent sitting on the sofa, having dozed off.
 
As she tiptoed towards him, Henrietta noticed the apparent dark circles on his face and his pale complexion. His body also looked frail as compared to a month ago, looking weak. Faint white hair growth sprouted on his sides, in the region around his temples. The moment Henrietta closed in on his proximity, Hancent jerked his head, noticing her.
 
  "At what time are you scheduled to arrive for the Raid?" He spoke, motioning for Henrietta to sit beside him.
 
"We have to arrive by 3:00 AM, pack our weapons and other stuff, assemble with our battalions, and perform a final check. We would then march out at 6:00 AM from Sector 12, 10th Ring." Henrietta sat on the sofa, letting out a grunt filled with exhaustion. She had been jetting to and fro between the Wilds and the Bone family mansion, also making trips to the military base that oversaw the Flying Signature Raid.
 
11:17 PM, Hancent noticed the time, exhaustion apparent in his eyes. "Take some rest; I'll wake you up at 2:30 AM. We would have sufficient time to reach the destination. From tomorrow, you wouldn't get the opportunity to have a peaceful rest. Do you still have anything to pack?"
 
"No, I've already finished my preparations 2 days ago. My luggage has also been transported to the destination. All I require to do now is to make myself present there at the designated time." Henrietta got up, walking towards the master bedroom. She wrapped a bedsheet over her, sleeping in a matter of seconds.
 
Hancent entered the room, sitting next to Henrietta. He placed his hand on her head, brushing aside a couple of strands of her hair to the side, gently patting her head. Henrietta pulled his leg, using his thigh as a pillow. She turned around, facing him as she spoke, "Heima is a smart child, she is a quick learner; so, I am not worried about her. But, Jyorta worries me. There are times where it makes me wonder if he is actually my child."
 
"What did old man Bone say? He's the most knowledgeable person in our family, if not the whole of Ring 7." Hancent spoke, feeling puzzled. Henrietta was the only one who spoke about Jyorta having strange behaviours, no other person besides her had commented on the matter. He too had assumed it to be the worries of a mother but, the statement from old man Bone a week ago startled him.
 
"I feel like some mysterious entity has formed a connection with Jyorta. I asked many questions to Jyorta, in order to grasp some clues. Most of the details Jyorta spouted were nothing but useless info; I don't know much about the video games of the younger generation, so what he said might have correlated to some of them. But, some parts were strange, if not horrifying. He knew complex equations in chemistry, knowledge of engineering related to manufacturing, metallurgy, etc. his mathematical ability was also off the charts.
 
"He himself doesn't understand what he speaks for the most part, but the information he said was undoubtedly true. There were also some things that I couldn't verify in the short term. Also, he has paltry knowledge about the Wisdom Parasite, knowledge that only researchers working on them know. I will observe Jyorta from afar, and try to figure out the cause. Don't mention it to Henrietta; it would affect her performance in the Raid, endangering her life."
 
 "The same as always," Henrietta gritted her teeth, "He said Jyorta is perfectly fine. It worries me because something that I could sense isn't something that my father can't. I don't know what goes through his head." Henrietta clenched her fist, relaxing it after a moment of thought. Hancent was just about to change the topic when he noticed Henrietta had fallen asleep.
 
'Her exhaustion is worrying. I hope this three-and-a-half-hour of sleep can alleviate some of her exhaustion.' Hancent thought, noticing her slow breathing rate. She was probably in a state of deep sleep.
 

At the peak of his life, a man is transported to the future. A world that had faced apocalypse, barely clinging to their humanity is what greeted him. The post-apocalyptic world, the Earth of the future was shrouded in mystery. In order to return to his timeline, an era where he had left his footsteps behind, he had to unravel the secrets of the world. The only problem being, this was an era dominated by the Parasites.

Before Henrietta can properly react, I telekinetically arrange the dresses before neatly placing them back inside the wardrobe.
Then, I turn my head to face Henrietta and say in a calm tone while ignoring her stupefied expression,
"I hope you have been doing well these past few days."
As a response to my words, Henrietta immediately breaks out of her stupor and says,
"Yes, I have been fine."
"Good," I casually say before shifting my sight to a desk that has quite a few documents on it, reminding me about the matter regarding the nobles.
"Say, have the nobles been causing any trouble for you?"
"Ah," Henrietta says, "That's related to the reason I called you over for."
Oh? Could there have been some that actually had the gall to cause trouble?
Anyway, Henrietta said that she wished to gift me something, so I wonder how the noble families are related to that.
Unless…
"Henrietta, have you gotten your hand on the Grimoire of Loss?" I say, startling her quite a bit.
After all, that's the only possible scenario I can think of which consists of Henrietta being able to gift me something related to nobles.
"That's right," Henrietta says while beaming a smile, "How did you know?"
Shrugging my shoulders, I reply,
"It was rather obvious."
Before she can say anything else, I inquire,
"What about the nobles who decided to 'aid' me in my conquest against Gallia? Those personal armies of theirs. Have they been called back already?"
"Unfortunately, no," Henrietta responds with a serious expression, "From the looks of it, they wish to have a part of the 'reward'."
Understanding what she's getting at, I say,
"They want some land for themselves, huh?"
Well, I expected things to turn out like this, so I already have a way to deal with this issue.
"That's not it," Henrietta says, surprising me, "They all wish to hold an audience with you."
Huh? Why?
"And what's the reason for that?"
"I don't know," Henrietta says, "But, I speculate that they want to establish some kind of connection with you."
Ah, that would make sense. However, the problematic part of this would be what kind of connection they wish to establish.
Taking into consideration how troublesome nobles are, there is something that needs to be done quickly.
"Henrietta," I say while adopting a serious expression, "Let's hurry up and get married."
Stunned, Henrietta hastily says,
"Where did that come from?"
However, the next moment, realization seems to dawn upon her as her expression turns serious before she mutters,
"Marriage proposals."
"That's right," I say, "They will most likely attempt to arrange a marriage between me and a daughter of theirs. If I were a king, this would be neigh-impossible to achieve, but I've yet to be crowned as one…"
No wonder that they 'helped' me in the war so early on. What they did was reasonably risky, as, at any time, there could've been a counterattack from Gallia.
Due to their armies being stationed near the border, they would've been the one to suffer the most.
Well, since they've gone ahead and 'planned' all this, it wouldn't hurt to humor them a little.
"Forget all that," I say, "Where is the Grimoire?"
Hearing me, Henrietta gets up from the bed and walks over to the wardrobe.
She opens it and inserts her hand inside before beginning to move it around in an odd manner.
Before I can question her actions, a clicking sound reaches my ears as a square at the back of the wardrobe opens, revealing numerous interesting things.
A few seconds later, Henrietta takes out a black book before fixing everything up and walking back to the bed.
"Here," she says while offering me the book.
Taking the Grimoire into my hands, I open it, only to find a series of clear pages.
I check from one end of the book to the other before saying,
"It's blank…"
Perhaps, sensing the doubt in my voice, Henrietta explains,
"The ones I had assigned to the mission of retrieving the Grimoire were suspicious of this really being the real thing, so they tor- interrogated the viscount that was keeping it.
"Despite that, the viscount insisted on this being the Grimoire. As I thought, it truly is fake, right?"
I take a moment to deliberate on the matter before a notion appeared in my head.
The last Grimoire was similar to this one in 'uselessness', so this may actually be the real Grimoire of Truth.
"Are you keeping an eye on the viscount?"
"Yes. In fact, he's staying in the castle right now."
"I see," I say.
Well then, now that I know he won't be going anywhere, I can take this Grimoire back to Tiffa.
However…
I turn my head to look at Henrietta who's currently dressed in a marvelous violet dress.
The front of the dress is a v-cut, making a part of her cleavage visible.
Due to the way the dress has been designed, it does a great job of complimenting Henrietta's figure.
"Wales?" Henrietta's voice reaches my ears, causing me to shift my sight to her face, only to find it covered in a red flush.
"Does it look good?" she asks me in a demure tone that's very unlike her usual self.
"Great," I say while grinning, "It suits you very well."
Just when it seems like her joy will reach its peak, Henrietta's mood seems to deflate as she asks,
"You will don't remember anything, do you?"
I slowly shake my head and say,
"Nothing at all. As unfortunate as it may be, but I feel like this isn't going to change anytime soon."
Hearing my bluntly state the truth, Henrietta's mood worsens as she looks down at the ground with a perplexed look on her face.
This goes on for a few minutes before Henrietta raises her head with a resolute expression as she says,
"Then, Victor, was it?"
"Correct."
"Please take care of me from now on."
Oh? Looks like she has resolved herself to settling with me despite being aware that Wales Tudor and I are different people.
Now that I think about it, what has become of Yu Otosaka and Wales Tudor? I'm rather curious to know about that.
AI, do you know the answer to that?
{Negative.}
Well, I expected as much.
Shaking my head to ward off such thoughts, I look Henrietta in the eyes and say in a firm tone,
"You can always count on me."
With the two of us reaching a consensus, I slowly move closer to her and pull her into an embrace.
Feeling the softness of the fabric, I'm reminded that this young girl is soon going to become the queen of this kingdom. Not only that, but she will be my wife as well.
The whole thing seems so… unusual.

As I make my way to Tiffa's room, I sense that there seems to be something different about the air.
It feels much fresher than before for some reason. Normally, this wouldn't be something to be concerned about, but for it to happen so suddenly couldn't be normal.
I can only hope that it isn't a sign of more troublesome things to deal with…

"Human life is limited. Every person will age, fall sick, and die. However, does anyone here know why we're mortal?"
Upon the platform, a nearly seventy-year-old professor spoke gradually, his voice echoing the large classroom due to its acoustics.
"Everyone knows that the unit of life begins with a single cell. Each of us here came into being as a tiny fertilized ovum that underwent cell division. 
"One cell becomes two, two becomes four, four becomes eight…"
Below the platform, Chen Chen propped up his chin with his left hand while his right hand twirled a rollerball pen. His eyes glazed over with boredom as he stared at the projection screen, daydreaming.
"Cells will undergo senescence and death as well. The newly divided cells replace the dead ones over and over. This is the secret to our unending growth.
"Even so, this cell fission isn't infinite.
"In 1965, Professor Hayflick of Stanford University discovered that human cells are unable to self-replicate over fifty-seven times. Every cell, upon its fifty-sixth replication, will die.
"It's as if there's a counter within each cell that determines when the cell would stop dividing and when humans would start to age…
"In theory, human cells can divide up to fifty-six times at most. By calculating the cycle of each cell division, we find that the limit of human life is at one hundred and twenty years. This theory is known as…"
"Clatter!"
Just as he was listening in fascination, Chen Chen's fingers slipped and the rollerball pen spun out of his grasp, falling under the desk.
Chen Chen immediately stooped over, feeling around the floor with one hand.
"Huh?"
When his head was below the desk, an unexpected glint of pitch-black light flashed before his eyes.
Whether it was possible for light to be black, Chen Chen truly did spot a flash of black light in that instant.
He looked over instinctively.
The item was long and pitch-black all over. It was wedged below the desk, trapped within a hidden groove.
Therefore, after Chen Chen had picked up his pen, he reached out and scratched that area.
With just a little bit of effort, there was a snapping sound and the black item was successfully pried loose.
"You there, burrowing under your desk, answer the question –"
Just then, the professor's voice suddenly rang out from the platform.
"Snicker!"
There was a burst of sniggers from his dormitory friends sitting behind.
Chen Chen hurriedly crawled out from under the desk, his face red with embarrassment.
He stared at the beaming professor, then glanced down at his textbook before stammering, "The Hay, Hayflick Limit?"
"Take your seat."
The professor wrung his hands and allowed Chen Chen to sit.
The lecture continued.
"At both ends of a DNA molecule is something called a 'telomere'. This component plays a vital role in cell division.
"It's responsible for keeping the chromosome intact. Each cell fission will shorten the telomere a little. When the telomeres are too short and thus unable to protect the gene structure, the cell would inhibit growth, stop replicating, and enter senescence."
"This is the Hayflick Limit."
With that, the professor turned around and quickly wrote "The Hayflick Limit" on the blackboard.
Chen Chen, who had just taken his seat, heaved a sigh of relief. While the professor was busy writing on the blackboard, Chen Chen swiftly glimpsed at the item in his hand. 
'Erm…'
In one glimpse, Chen Chen's interest was completely deflated.
It turned out that the extremely black item was nothing more than a USB drive.
Still, it was different from most USB drives. This one was much longer, about twelve or thirteen centimeters, and looked like a carbon rod.
Only its USB port revealed the truth – that it was merely a USB drive.
Other than this, the entire USB drive had no joints or cracks. It was pitch-black and had no mention of the brand name or storage space.
Nonetheless, seeing that it looked rather awesome, Chen Chen ended up stuffing the USB drive into his pocket. He would study it further in his dorm.
Currently, the professor was still lecturing. "With our current level of technology, it's impossible for cells to break past the Hayflick Limit but we could bypass this barrier through another method…" 
As he spoke, the professor wrote three words on the blackboard:
"The Immortal HeLa."
"Everyone must be thinking, if there's a way to prevent the telomeres from shortening, will our cells become immortal?
"The answer is – definitely!"
Under the words "The Immortal HeLa", the professor spiritedly added "The HeLa cell line".
"The HeLa cell line was derived in 1951 from a clump of cervical cancer cells, taken from a contributor named Henrietta Lacks.
"Researchers found that these cells collected from Lacks not only failed to die, they even showed signs of growth. Every twenty-four hours, the number of cells would double.
"Later, they discovered that these cells didn't die because of the tumor retrovirus that caused cervical cancer. This virus' gene was able to alter the lifespan 'switch' in ordinary cells, thereby creating immortal cells of unlimited growth.
"In the following years, HeLa cells were supplied to various research organizations across the Federation. They helped scientists achieve cell cloning and have also been used to investigate the effects of nuclear radiation on a human body. Moreover, they've been placed in a space-bound rocket, to study the growth of cells in a weightless state...
"Data from medical sciences and biology indicate that, by this year, there are more than sixty-five thousand papers related to HeLa cells and over fifty million tons of HeLa cells have been cultivated…
"Hence, later generations shared this common knowledge – that cancer cell lines are 'immortal'. They can continue dividing without end."
When the professor uttered this line, many students started to clap enthusiastically, indicating their respect toward the contributor, Henrietta Lacks.
"Of course, if we humans play around with this 'switch', we'll end up dead!"
The professor changed the topic abruptly, killing off the applause.
"After all, if the cycle of cell fission in our body is disrupted and doesn't enter senescence in time, it'll turn into a malignant tumor and threaten our life!
"We humans have kept on forging ahead in our search for the truth. When society was nothing more than an assortment of clans, the average human lifespan was less than twenty years. In the Middle Ages, that had progressed to forty years…
"With the emergence of science, human civilization plunged into a phase of swift development. In mere decades, humans of the Earth Federation enjoy an average lifespan that is close to eighty years!
"But is that enough?
"Even if humans achieve the pinnacle of development, we wouldn't surpass the hundred and twenty years stated in the Hayflick Limit. This is a long way from immortality. So, what do we do?"
After a pause, the professor continued.
"Thus, a revolution arrived…
"In 2002, this 'switch' was finally discovered. Professor John Sulston from the University of Cambridge, along with two of his colleagues, found a hereditary regulation mechanism that was then named 'programmed cell death'."
The professor wrote the words "Programmed Cell Death" on the blackboard and roughly drew a circle.
There was a loud snap. The chalk had broken under the professor's forceful fingers.
"This discovery shook up the entire medical science community because it determined that cell death is an automatic, physiological form of 'suicide', like a program that was secretly embedded!"
The professor spread his arms. "This means that, although we initially assumed that senescence was a natural process, in truth, it may be due to a genetic defect! If we can fix this flaw, there's hope that we may prevail over aging and attain immortality!"
A soft, collective gasp could be heard throughout the room.
It was like a huge door had just been opened. Chen Chen's pupils shrank and he could only hear one voice, constantly repeating that magical word.
"Immortality?"
"Immortality…"
"Therefore, as students specializing in biology, you're the generation with the best chance of rectifying this genetic defect."
The professor broke out into an expectant smile. "In other words, you're the ones closest to achieving immortality in the entire human history!"
The class was reaching the end at this point.
The silver-haired professor wiped his sweat with a handkerchief, then concluded in a hopeful, yet rueful, manner:
"There's no denying that we humans are still completely ignorant in the face of the boundless ocean of truth. Perhaps a distant, impossible dream like immortality is only the first step in the search for truth…
"However, no matter what, the future is in your hands…
"That's it. Class dismissed!"
"Clap, clap, clap, clap, clap, clap…"
The room was filled with thunderous applause.

He was part of the medical team that pieced the young heir together. He even attended the memorial ceremony of Alberte Lacroix, husband to Emile Marcel. Sadly, he knew much more, so much his head was threatening to explode. 

Samuel Jacquet's build spoke of years of his experience on health and nutrition. He dressed simply, but sophisticated. Most of his shirts were giveaways or prizes he had gotten from his dedication in seminars about people's well-being and good nutrition. He was an ambassador of GoGreen institute where participants are educated on the benefits of fruits and vegetables in the body. 

His smile was innocuous and inviting. His handsomeness was poised with a bit of a mysterious charm and he found it a bit bothersome especially to his profession. 

Born of poor, simple parents, Samuel was smart, but not ambitious. Just like his parents, he chose to live a quiet, simple life. He knew how the rich elites controlled the poor. He didn't want to cross that line either. 

An odd thing happened the last time he had met up with Rochelle at the Medical Centre.

'I need you to go check on Maxime Lacroix,' she had said. 

'Lacroix? Why?'

'You were there when he got treated, you should also be there to know how he's fairing. Remember he is blind.'

Why would she suggest that he visit Lacroix surprisingly?

She had also told him that there had been strange things she encountered while she treated the young boy at their home. She had seen some things that made her shudder at the Lacroix mansion. She mentioned a few of these things and requested that he kept his mouth shut. 

As he walked, he found himself staring at the familiar bronze palette used to decorate the huge gray walls surrounding the mansion. He had already passed the main gates. He walked briskly towards the front yard.

He passed a three feet tall fountain overflowing with clear waters in the middle of the front yard. 

He heard the doors of the mansion open. Henrietta stood a beside the white luxury jeep. Madame Emile walked out looking fashionable in a white ensemble. 

"Mr Jacquet," She greeted with a brilliant smile. "You came?"

"Yes," Samuel answered. 

"I didn't expect to see you," Emile looked above Samuel's head. "Is there any problem?"

"No. not at all," Samuel breathed. He counted his words. "I just came to check up on Maxime."

"Maxime is fine," Emile waved her hand, the smile disappearing from her face. "You really shouldn't have bothered coming."

Samuel posed a smile. "Well it was not solely my decision."

Emile ignored him. she made her way to her car and stopped.

"You just want to see him, is that it?"

"Yes, I see you're heading out," Samuel countered.

"It's been hectic at the company. You know I have to take Alberte's place now."

"You do," Samuel's eyes roved inside the house. "I wouldn't want to waste your time then, I will just…" Samuel pointed upwards. "see Maxime and take my leave."

Emile glanced at her golden wrist watch. "If you insist. I'm in a rush now. You will find him upstairs in his room. Henrietta, take the doctor to Maxime's room. Will you?"

Samuel felt a little uneasy when he heard the word doctor from her red stained lips. He was just an assistant, a medical assistant. 

Henrietta nodded. She walked through the white doors. 

Out of courtesy, Samuel waited for the Emile to drive off before stepping into the house. Henrietta was already halfway up the stairs ahead of him. He strode quickly past the magnificent pillar divided the large living room from the stairs. Emile's persona almost frightened him. The plan on his mind was to see the heir and get out immediately. He didn't want to get entangled with the business of the Lacroix family.

Henrietta stopped in front of a white door with a bronze knob, right in the middle of the broad corridor. 

She tapped on the door. When there was no answer, she twisted the knob and pushed it open. Samuel thanked her and walked in. 

The first thing he felt when he shut the door was heat. The room was stuffy. It was quite spacious. Perhaps, all the furniture has been moved to accommodate Maxime in his current condition. 

He walked straight to the large glass window on the left end, pulled the white curtain to the side and slide the glass windows open.

Maxime turned his head towards the sound. His mom and Henrietta always preached to him about closing the windows. 

Who was in his room?

He sat up and tilted his head again listening keenly for any other strange sounds. 

"Henrietta, is that you?" He asked.

"No Maxime," Samuel stood still beside the window. "I'm Samuel."

"Why are you opening my windows?" Maxime felt threatened by the presence of a man who is neither his family nor friend. 

Samuel was taken aback by the question. "The room is a bit stuffy, Its important for rooms to be airy. Sorry if it bothered you."

"You said you are...?" Maxime cut in. The scent of lavender perfume invaded his nostrils. 

"Samuel Jacquet, a medical assistant. I was part of the team of doctors who worked on you, last year. You may not recall."

Maxime turned his head left and right as if he was looking for something. "Can you at least make some sound so that I know you're there?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm not much of a noise maker," Samuel rubbed his palms together.

He walked to the bedside and stood in front of the young heir. He noticed his breathing got deeper and his nose flared at intervals. His senses were high and alert now.

"I came to see how you were doing? How are you coping?"

"Did you meet my mum?" Maxime asked, his voice wavering.

"Yes she left for work."

"Take me outside," Maxime requested. He was quite aware of the implications of this statement. 

"You have a book here," Samuel said peeking at the book beside the pillow.

"Drop it," Maxime gestured with his right hand. 

"I didn't even touch it."

"Can you take me outside, please," Maxime pressed on. 

"I don't think it will be a good idea,"

"Just do it. Please."

"Okay, do you need anything?"

"I can walk. Just take me downstairs."

Maxime hated to admit it but he was weak. He was too weak. How had he managed to walk to the window alone, the other night? Or did he feel terrible because of the man in his room? 

He tried to steady himself when he stood up. He grabbed the night table as a tide of nausea swept over him.

"Let me help you," Samuel offered. "I will be taking your hand now. Sorry if that bothers you." Samuel put his left arm around Maxime's back and helped him gradually stand. "Are you okay, Maxime?"

A burn in Maxime's chest replaced the nauseous feeling. He rubbed his chest. Maxime nodded. 

"I will get your cane."

Samuel reached his hands to the wall and picked up the white walking cane for the blind. He handed it to the man and their fingers brushed against each other briefly. 

Maxime trudged on with great difficulty. He was weak and there was more darkness. He nodded when Samuel alerted him that they were approaching the stairs. He grabbed the handrail and leaned on it for support until they reached the living room. 

"Do you want to rest a while?" Samuel asked studying the young man with medical eyes.

"No."

"You don't look strong…" Samule turned sround when a female voice interrupted him.

"Sir, where are you taking him?" Henrietta shrieked with fear as she ran from the kitchen. 

Maxime waved his hands in air. "It's fine, I'm just going out for some air."

"Ma'am won't be happy about it," Henrietta frowned.

"Then don't tell her, please," maxime breathed.

Henrietta nodded slyly. She watched them leave through the front door until they settled in the bench beside the blossoming flowery garden at corner of the building. When she was convinced that the doctor was not kidnapping the precious heir, she returned to the kitchen. 

"You look better than... the last time I saw you," Samuel said. 

"Is it almost noon?" Maxime asked as he relaxed his aching limbs. He rubbed both his palms on his knees. 

Samuel glanced at his wristwatch. "Yes, about fifteen minutes to twelve. How did you guess that?" He chuckled. 

"Did my mom call you?"

"No why?" Samuel frowned. 

"I will pay double of what my mom gives you, if you just leave."

"Maxime, what are you talking about?"

Maxime hated the way he called his name so casually like they were pals. 

"You should know what I mean."

"First of all, your mom didn't hire me, no one is paying me. I haven't even met her since after you left the hospital. If I wanted to work for you I wouldn't ask for pay, I do volunteer work for patients freely."

"Then what are you doing here?"

Samuel looked away for a moment. He hated this kind of interactions. But he was here for a reason. That is Rochelle Phillipe. Nothing more. 

"If you must know, I came to see you because it was the last request from Ms Philippe."

Maxime leaned back. He shook his head in disbelief.

"Ms Rochelle Phillipe?"

"Yes. Rochelle Phillipe. God bless her soul. She told me if anything happens, I should try to see you once or twice."

"You knew Ms Philippe, my nurse?"

Samuel relaxed.

"Yes she was my mentor. I learned directly from her. She practically raised me up into what I am today."

Maxime drifted away. 

"The only memory I have left of her is that book. It was a gift from her on my birthday, last year."

"Really. Because I have the second installment of that same book."

"Oh, it has a book two?" Maxime asked trying not to show the ray of hope in his heart.

"Yes. I think it's a trilogy or something."

"You sound like you don't enjoy reading."

"I read lots of medical books, I am not just a fan of fantasy and all that stuff."

Maxime nodded.

"I like reading. She gave it to me and I promised that I will someday read it to her."

Samuel eyed Maxime for some seconds. Not sure what to say, he blinked.

"That's good to know. I mean I'm sorry for the loss."

Samuel looked around the garden. He was torn. He will miss Rochelle too. He directed his attention to the garden again. The vast fertile land adorned with various plants and flowers, offered a natural shelter around the mansion. He wondered how much it cost to take care of the garden, let alone an heir.

Everybody knew Lacroix senior, Maxime's grandfather as a giant entrepreneur. Maxime was the first grandson but Antoine Lacroix had more privileges than him. Everybody knew Antoine, the hot head, youngest CEO of the Lacroix foundation. 

Maxime had always stayed out of spotlight so people didn't know much about him. Only the news of the accident brought him on the screens of local television channels across the country and people began to take notice of his existence and status. 

Samuel stared at the man sitting beside him. Maxime was an exceptionally fine man. What pain he must be passing through having to wear that bandage all the time? His dark hair had grown long and bounced with its natural soft curls on the side of his face, grazing his smooth skin and back of his neck. 

Samuel wondered what color was hidden behind those bandages - Brown, black, hazel, blue... 

Maxime turned his head to his right where the visitor was sitting. He wanted to stretch his hands and touch him to feel his presence. It was a good thing he knew Ms Philippe but can he be trusted. He was so quiet it hurt his ears. He tried to picture how Samuel would look like but it felt practically impossible. He curled his fingers softly and turned his head to the sky. 

"How is the weather now?" 

"Uhhmm..." Samuel blinked. "The sky is clear. And bluish. Some bird family just flew by..." he smiled. "...maybe crows. Some patches of white clouds here and there and a bit of warmth in air."

Just like Rochelle Phillipe would say...

Something beautiful struck Maxime's heart.

"Where is this girl Henrietta? Come out from your hiding place dad will give you a sweet,just give me the money your mum gave you for the home work exercise book."  Mr Anderson tried to plead with the little girl,he was so drank and he kept falling down while looking for Henrietta.Henrietta was just behind the one and only couch in the house,which Rose,Henrietta's mum bought after saving money for a full year to purchase it.She bought the couch to serve as a  bed for their only daughter Henrietta and also to be used as a seat for the family of three members.

Henrietta didn't come out of her hiding place,she stayed there for three good hours,when she was sure the dad had fallen a sleep,she got out,helped the dad to remove his shoes,closed the door and went to a shop a cross the road to buy the exercise book for her revision work.Since it was a weekend she was aware the mum was not coming  home that day, so she just boiled water and added half spoon of sugar ,she put one cup aside for the dad and took the remeinder,after ward as usual ,she went through her school work ,which the teachers had taught the whole week ,by the time she finished she fell a sleep while studying.

she was waken up very early in the morning by stomach ache due to hunger ,that week she was not able to carry any food home because they were released home earlier due to music festivals and those who participated left behind and were using the hall near the dumping pit where Henrietta most of the Friday's collected food from, for herself and her father.

The dad was still snoring loudly in bed when Henrietta woke up.She washed her face ,wrote a small note and left behind for the dad and as usual she went to try her lack in one of the nearby hotels for a dish washing job in exchange for any available meal.When she arrived ,she went to the reception ,when the receptionist saw her  ,before even exchanging greetings she drove her out and told her never to appear there again,the hotel was not a charity hotel and they don't hire under age, that is all Henrietta received from the receptionist .Tears fall from Henrietta's eyes,she didn't go far from the hotel premise.


She waited outside the hotel, while thinking next course of action a car passed her and then was reversed again towards Henrietta,a young man got out and gave Henrietta a card,he told her to give it ,to her guardians and to tell the guardians to look for him using the card. "Morning sir i and my entire family we are very hardworking,kindly instead of this card give me something to do in exchange of food,I will complete my task sir."  She pleaded .The young man gave her 2 dollars and emphasized the need for her to give the card to the guardians,Henrietta was so happy,she thanked the young man and went home,with a huge smile on her face.She bought a loaf of bread and sugar from there favorite shop  and took the items home.

"Dad I'm home."    She called the father excitedly,while opening the door,the dad looked at her daughter and was ashamed of himself,he knew drinking was not a solution to his problems but was the only option he thought would keep him away from the suicidal thoughts he had been having.

Mr Anderson was a very hardworking man,he valued his family a lot.He used to work as a  casual worker in one of neighbouring companies,one sad morning when he reported for work as usual,he received weird looks from fellow work mates,before he settled down,was summoned to the CEO's office,Anderson was extremely shocked to learn that some important information was missing from the office and unfortunately,he was the only person who was seen going in and out of the office last,due to the magnitude of the missing report he was sacked and was given a heavy penalty of paying  10 dollars daily for the next five years.

Anderson tried to look for a well paying job,for one full month but all was in vain,Rose now started paying for him at the same time catering for the family.She was was able to do house chores in three neighbouring homesteads.In one of the family she was supposed to work night shift from Friday to Sunday.

Henrietta handed over the business card to the father and explained eloquently all that she was told to tell the parents,the dad was happy but wondered whether he would be lucky that time.

Monday early in the morning after taking white porridge for breakfast,Henrietta left for school.She was eight years and was in Primary, in one of the best schools in the country.

She was an early bird,when she arrived in class,as usual she went to the back of the class where she always sat by herself,due to her family background,most students did not want to be associated with her,she was used to this and had no company at school at all.Her performance was average ,she never participated in any extra curriculum activities because anytime she joined they were told to add some materials for the activities of which burdened the family.

During break time Henrietta went to her favourite tree and sat down.The school head boy Jeremy who was in his final year,had noticed that Henrietta always sat under that tree every single school day when all her peers were busy playing and having fun,he thought the girl was absolutely abnormal.He approached her and said.  "Stand up and go play with your friends."   She looked at him and answered.   "I  have no friends in this school."  Jeremy was shocked to learn that,she was avoiding people so that she would not experience discrimination over and over again.

He was disturbed with what he learnt that day from Henrietta.That whole week she was the happiest girl,she was lucky to collect a well balanced diet each evening from the dumping pit,she wondered who on earth did not like that kind of food and kept throwing it while it was still hot.She was sure it was one of those spoilt brats who received food from home,three times a day .The food was always finger licking she said a short prayer.  "God please protect this spoilt brat who keeps throwing food and is unknowingly feeding me and my family."

Jeremy kept an eye   on her,that very Monday, after evening classes he wanted to talk to her,to learn on how to avoid negative comments from people,without avoiding them,when he arrived in class 4 red,she was nowhere to be found,on his way to the parking lot he saw her walking so fast to the dumping pit,he followed her and was flabbergasted to see her picking food remains,he wanted to confront her but he changed his mind the last minute.He went back to class four Red and waited for her.When she came back almost all students had left for home,she noticed Jeremy leaning on the class room door,she immediately threw the food in her hand into a class room dustbin and pretended to have collected the remains and was putting them in the bin.Jeremy tried to find out what she had thrown in the pit but Henrietta maintained it was rubbish she had collected on her way to class.  

It was getting late and Jeremy asked. "Henrietta what time are you going home,can we drop you,or someone will be picking you?"  She hesitated for a while and responsed. "Senior, thank you,I stay near the school,so no need,more so my parents forbid me from accepting lifts from anyone."   She went back to her class ,sat down and when she was sure Jeremy had left ,she went back to the bin ,took out the food and left for home.The following day she discovered  well packed ,finger licking food thrown in the dustbin.

Rose was home earlier that Monday and she accompanied the husband to the hotel with the card .When they arrived they were given least paying jobs because they had no any qualifications,Rose was put in a cleaning department,while Anderson was sent to garbage collection department and they started working right away.

Henrietta was overjoyed when she heard that her parents were both recruited.  "Mum,is there need for me to come with food remains from school every day?"  Rose scratched her head and said. 
"If your friend is still generous,instead of her throwing away the food, just take it,even though we are working now,will receive money end of the month.Don't forget to thank the girl she has a golden heart."  Henrietta nodded her head in approval.

Henrietta's mum was not aware the food they always enjoyed came from the dumping pit.According to her,she always knew,Lydia ,Henrietta's classmate and a good friend was the one who gave them the food due to her understanding of the hardship,the family was facing .She planned to go and thank  Lydia's family once things eased on her side.

Jeremy had sat for his primary final year exam and was number one in the whole country,the family planned to hold a thanksgiving party,Though Jeremy was 2 years younger than his class mates he always excelled in almost every school activity,the parents had already enrolled him for a high school final year exams of which he had to sit for the exams in a weeks' time after the party.

Crack hotel was given the tender to prepare and serve delicacies in upcoming party,all big business individuals were invited,J.M limited was the leading business enterprise in the country.Mr.Thomson was the CEO of J.M Company just like his son Jeremy,he was also  rumoured to have been a genius during his schooling time.

All the staffs of Crack hotel who were chosen to render services to Mr Thomson's family,were reminded over and over again the importance and magnitude of the job they were to do.Rose and Anderson were among those chosen to go,unfortunately they could not leave behind Henrietta to spend a night alone in the house,all of there relatives were in the village which was several miles away from the city where Henrietta and her family were staying.

After contemplating for a while,Henrietta suggested to accompany the parents to the party and she was to stay in the Company van until the party was over.The following day the dad went to the van's driver,after explaining to him there dilemma and suggestion he agreed to let the little girl accompany them but she was to hide in  the truck containing food,so that the rest of the staff would not notice her.

Finally the long anticipated day was here,Henrietta was dressed in her very best,green dress,the parents put on there working uniforms.They were the first people to arrive in the hotel car park,as arranged Henrietta was stuffed in a corner in the truck containing  packed  items which were to be used for the party.At 8:00am all the staff assembled in the waiting bay,they were given the final instructions and later they boarded the van and left for Mr.Thomson residence.

Henrietta was very uncomfortable,it took them 30minutes to arrive at the one and only famous villa in the entire country.Since she was in a poor position,she was not able feed her eyes with spectacular things along there way to the villa.All people got out of the van and they passed through a security check,thrice before finally entering the main villa.The van and the truck were packed at the parking lot,while all the staff headed to the place where they were going to use in preparing for food and all the decorations needed for the party,Henrietta was discreetly helped by the van driver to board the van.From there she was able to see people busy as bees doing various activities to make the day a success.

Agnes was walking down the hallway of the castle making her way to Queen Henrietta to make her report

Flashback of last night starts

Michelle slammed her fist on the table

"I was the one who was betrayed !" Michelle starts


"Ten years ago, my father was a Legal Affairs Committee counselor.

He was accused of being the leader of the graft.....And had his aristocratic title taken away.

He said he was betrayed by his country and committed suicide.

Mother soon followed him." Michelle

Agnes's gaze remained on the wall, Michelle's on the table

Michelle continued

"I was left alone, without a place to call home, wandering about the country." Michelle

"I understand that." Agnes

Michelle looked up 

"You understand ?" Michelle said with a serious expression

"My home town was razed, and I too, was the sole surviver." Agnes said calmly

But then she turned around and raised her voice.

"But I never held undue resentment against her Highness !" Agnes

"What did she ever do for us ? Even if it means borrowing Albion's power, unless we destroy the royal family this country will remain rotten !" Michelle


Agnes slammed her hand down onto the table

"No ! The ones we must fight are the ones who monopolizes this country's authority and deceives the Queen ! " Agnes says and then grabs Michelle by the collar and lifted her up

"Spill it ! Who's orders were you following ?!" Agnes shouted

Michelle turned her head away and said

"An old friend of my father's. I can't say anymore than that." 

"A friend ?" Agnes

"Yes. He believed in my father's innocence, and took me in when I was all alone." Michelle

"Lishman, the chair president of legal affairs." Agnes 
"...(shocked guh ! sound that anime characters make when they get shocked)..." Michelle uttered while slowly facing Agnes again

Agnes let go and walked back to the window

"That case ten years ago. I don't have any proof but the real leader of the graft was probably Lishman." Agnes

"What !?" Michelle
"The one who cornered your father to death was Lishman." Agnes 

Michelle rushed to the window and shouted

"Your lying ! Stop making things up !" Michelle

"I'm not lying. I searched everything concerning him." Agnes

"Why ?" Michelle

"Because Lishman is my foe !" Agnes


(Another over exaggerated gasping sound) Michelle

Flashback ends


While thinking of this conversation she had with Michelle, the man of concern crossed her path


He was average height, somewhere in his fifties, in Catholic priest styled robes, and ear length white hair

The two crossed paths and Lishman didn't turn around to look back even once, Agnes however stopped and stared at Lishman with distain

The stare was so hard Lishman probably felt it and couldn't look up


The stare was so hard, one would believe she was going to shoot laser beams from her eyes and tear a hole right through Lishman


The stare was so damn hard, they had to change the saying from "If looks could kill....." to "If looks could annihilate....."


Scene change

Agnes reached Queen Henrietta's room, handed her a thick notebook and kneeled 

"Your Majesty ! This is a list of research about the crimes and details of each by Lishman." Agnes

Henrietta skimmed through the book for a minute and said

"This is a prime example of "The darkness at the bottom of a light tower." 

"We've also got the confession from Michelle of his plots, will we arrest him immediately your majesty ?" Agnes said with her head still down

"No. The word of the ex vice captain isn't enough for proper evidence against the chair president of legal affairs. We shall continue with the plan." Henrietta


"What !? But your majesty that plan is dangerous !" Said Agnes looking up 

"It's okay, I have an amazing body guard." Henrietta said with a sweet smile

"(Guh !)...." Agnes uttered shocked, then smiled and bowed again

"Yes your majesty." Agnes

Agnes headed out and sped off from the castle on horse back

Diablo was at the manor he gifted Siesta's family

Currently the house hold was split into teams of three, except Jessica.

 In order to fool and spy on the situation of this area, Jessica would still work during the day but practice magic at night just like Siesta.

Unlike Siesta, Jessica had a talent for the 

sword, especially the katana Diablo modified  

with magic from an blacksmith bought normal sword

And to Siesta's annoyance she got along VERY well with Diablo

One team was being taught magic by Horn

"Okay everyone, were back to learning about magic sensitivity. Hold hands !" The cute  and petite Horn squeaked

A few siblings of Siesta's were gathering barrels of water for Edelgard


Edelgard didn't understand how she formed the potions, she simply had to touch water and think of an purpose for it


With Diablo's extensive knowledge of fantasy video games, many potions have been created. 


And finally Diablo's team out in the backyard 


Diablo has been responsible "creative spell research", instead of training to grow stronger, what Diablo is teaching is different uses for magic besides battle.

Like agriculture.

"Everyone. We will now use Edelgards growth potions to create what in my original world is called "genetically modified foods." Diablo said

"We will then make our way into the market as merchants to...." Diablo was cut off by  Rem's summoned raven who was delivering a message

These days Rem was training with Krum to gain control of her demon lord transformation, but still was able to keep in contact with Siesta and Jessica via messaging

"Ummm we can't read." Stephen, Siesta's brother, or actually one of them

Scene change

Louise walked in to the charming fairy in and was met by the large and bulky Scarron crossdressed as a princess

And Jessica crossed dressed as a prince with his entourage performing a song and dance

Louise was.... flabbergasted


"Ugh hello.....Scarron." Louise


"No no no, that won't do. Here." Scarron


Everyone present held hands and sung a short melody


"Hello and much love...."


"So....what was with the....um practice performance ?" Louise asked this because having girls cross dress as boys doesn't seem like a good business idea for a place like this

 
"We will be performing at the royal castle soon; They've finally accepted my beauty." Scarron said holding his face

"Umm...well..I'm..... doing something for-" Louise took too long to answer so Scarron answered for her

"Alright it's decided, let's go we don't have any time to waste. Girls." The girls scooped up Louise and took her to the changing room


They dressed her up in a white ball gown 


"Well....I suppose this does look more natural." Louise


Louise washed the dishes and helped with serving orders. Until she spotted Julio.


Scene change

Diablo used his "return spell" and appeared in the middle of the village

He took the walk to the Charming fairy inn, but when turning a corner in the city, bumped right into a hooded person

"Excuse me.... do you know of a place called Charming fairy inn ?" 
"Yes, actually I'm headed there now. Follow." Diablo

They both stopped and at the same time said


"Wait, that voice !"


The person took her good off


"Princess Henrietta." Diablo

"Ahh Diablo." Henrietta


"Everyone spread out and search for her !" Some man called

"Yes sir !" a group responded

The sound of horse hooves could be heard all around that area and it seemed that they were searching for Henrietta

"We have to go !" Henrietta

"What is the meaning of this ?" Diablo said shocked that Henrietta could be being hunted within her own country

"No time to explain, lets go!" Henrietta said pulling Diablo's arm to an alley

Soldiers on horses rushed pass, but oddly missed a tall guy with horns

"I'll change my hair a bit so they won't 

recognize me, you should do something about 

those horns." Henrietta said fixing her hair into a ponytail, kept together by a cute blue blue tie


( Is she saying she knows my horns aren't real !? I cant be seen without them, what do I do  ?!?) Diablo thought, having a small panic attack

"Um...My horns.....I don't understand what you mean." Diablo

"Can't you hide them with an hat, I understand some of the people in your world have horns and cat ears, but they will stick out  when wee try to escape." Henrietta

(Phew, my secret remains hidden, okay luckily I came prepared for a  situation like this) Diablo mentally said



Diablo reached into his storage pack and pulled out an store bought hoodie, big enough to cover up his horns and most of his face


"Okay, we'll have to sneak past the guards." Henrietta


The pair approached a group of soldiers.....and Henrietta grabbed Diablo's arm


This immediately triggered Diablo's anxieties 


(What !? I'm supposed to be MARRIED !!! Ok, your the great mighty demon lord, this is nothing compared to being smothered in huge each night.) Diablo thought to calm himself

The whole time, Henrietta saw the slight red in his face

"Act natural." Henrietta

(How is this natural !? How are you expecting that from any guy !?) Diablo was ranting while trying to continue closer to the guards

And upon reaching them, Henrietta kissed him; Right in the mouth

What happens when the "zero" Louise Valleriè summons the "sorcerer of destruction" Demon Lord Diablo and his soon to be wives? 
(This is my first ever fanfiction and my first ever time writing so go easy on me.
I'll try not to do OC and mainly follow the Canon of the familiar of zero, the events would take place after vol 12 of the novel of how not to summon a Demon Lord.)
Also this was supposed to be fanfic but for some reason it won't let me change it to fanfic

I was leisurely sit in the garden while looking at the library when I remember Naruto world cheat technique, the shadow clone jutsu. I feel stupid fo forgetting that so I immediately searched for it then instructed LOHP to strengthen and make it so it can be use with other energy. The results is that the shadow clone that strong it will only dispel if it take a fatal hit or dismiss and i can also use mana to make it.

After learning shadow clone i also instructed Tiffa to learn it. Nowadays while i was doing body strengthening technique my clone was learning spell from void spell book and also other magic since my body can learn any magic. I also learning other thing like blacksmith, cooking, engineering, weapon creation, music, hacking, and programming. As for Tiffa she focus on learning magic and flame and i give her school book to learn up to high school lvl.

Three weeks later i was able to learn teleport and world doors spell from void magic and as i was be able to focus building my body and leave everything else to clone. I was able to make my strength reach 20 ton lvl.

Now as my strength is good I create around 500 clone and tell them to go to other village and cities. By using world door and learn its coordinates from LOHP i can go anywhere. I instructed 300 of them to become merchants and spy networks. By using world door i can buy thing in one city or village then sell it in another with high price i can make money easier this way. The other 200 work as bounty hunter and assasin this way i can make money while amassing combat experience. I don't want to get rusty when needed.

Now beside training I always bring Tiffa to play to other village and cities so that she learn about society. It's not good to have a hermit lifestyle it will make her naive and gullible. Now she can get to know people and learn about human nature. Now she can distinguish if a human is trustworthy or not.

~~ Line Break ~~

I was having a date with Tiffa in Gallia now. As we're walking around enjoying the scenery we see a kid around 4 years old was caught pickpocketing and the one he steal from was about to beat him. Tiffa maternal instincts awaken so she immediately go and defend the kid so I immediately stop him to beat them.
"Can you tell me what happening her sir?" I ask him smiling while my eyes coldly watching him the prick almost beat my Tiffa.
"Get lost kid, this is not your problem. This kid was stealing my money so i was going to beat him for it" he says while swearing at me and from his clothes i can see that he's a noble.
"Can you let him go? We can compensate your money" Tiffa say wanting to save the kid.
The man was about to swear again but his face chang to smirk when he see Tiffa body that have been in growth spurt as of late.
"Well okay i will let him go while you accompany me for the night." He said smiling pervertly.
I got mad so grip his hand stronger making his bone cracking.
"Okay please let it go like that or my control over my strength slip and break something." I say looking coldly at him.
"Ye..yes, I'll leave it.pl..please let go of my hand!! You're breaking it." He said looking frightened. He run away immediately when i let go.
"Hey!! Take your money back!"  I said while throwing hus money pocket. He take it and run again.
I go back to Tiffa facing her i ask.
"So what are you going to do about this kid"
"Kira-kun i want to bring him back so he's not going to sleep in the streets?" She said looking at me hopefully.
I smile at her.
"Of course you can. It's your house, beside i make so many money that we can afford to raise him." I say while looking toward the kid.
So we stop our date to bring him home. But he was not alone he have five other orphaned friend with him. So we bring them too.

~~ Time Skip ~~

It's been another year since that incident. Now we're nine years old. Tiffa been bringing back orphan kid every time she see them in town. Now we're housing 75 kid ranging from age 3 to 10. So i have built new building to house them. I've been training them fighting skill so the can defend themselves starting from age 6 While Tiffa teach them how to cook, read, write and math etc. i also teach them specialization skill like blacksmithing, carpentry, management, music ect. According to what they want to do.

Right now we're in Tristain in front of a castle. We're going to meet Princess Henrietta de Tristain. Tiffa older cousin so they can reconnect and Tiffa want to counsel her older cousin as she just lost her parents a few days ago and now got embroiled in politic. So troublesome!

"Halt!! This is the gate of Tristain Palace what do you want?" Said the guard as we got closer to the gate palace.
"We have something to discuss with Princess Henrietta. Please give this to her as identity" i said while giving a pouch containing heirloom ring from her father.
"Okay. Please wait as i give it to her Majesty" said the guard as leave us to wait.

Not long after we see him back along with Henrietta and her royal guard following behind her. As she reached us she ask.
"Can you tell me where did you get this ring? Did you know where is he now?" She ask hopefully.
"Can we talk about this somewhere quite? It's not good talking about it here." I said smiling wryly at her enthusiasm.
"Yes let's go to Palace Garden to talk. Agnes can you go to Palace cheff to make us afternoon tea and cookies please?." Said Henrietta while instructing one of her guard.
"Yes, your Majesty" agnes answer.
"Now, Let's go to the garden" Henrietta said to us walking away with us following her.

As we seat in the garden Henrietta ask us.
"So. Can you tell me who are you and how can you have uncle ring?"
"My name is Tiffania Westwood and this is Kira Kurosaki. I was the daughter of Montreal de Albion your uncle. As for where father is, he died years ago with my mother in an accident. As for why I'm here is because I don't want to leave you alone when you just lost your parents. As i know just how lonely and painful it is to lost them." Tiffa said to her.
"I see. So uncle already leave us and for me to have a cousin I don't know about How can he not tell us about you. Thank you Tiffa for coming for me." Henrietta said toward Tiffa
"Then what's sir Kira relationship with Tiffa?" She said while smiling at me.
"Well, a month after her parents died I stumbled upon her living alone in forest so i just live with her to accompany her as I don't have home at that time" i said to her.

We talk for the rest of the day brightening her mood. It's already evening time and we're about to go home, but when i see Henrietta face that reluctant to let Tiffa go. I tell her to just stay the night with Henrietta while i go home. When i get home the kid asking where Tiffa go which i answer that she stay the night with her cousin. After we eat dinner i go to my room to sleep ending my day.

The next day i come back to the Palace to pick Tiffa up only to see her chatting with Henrietta. They're so close now that if look from outside they look like they've been sisters for life. I smile seeing them like this as i walk to them.
"So. What have you been talking about ladies?" I ask them only for them to giggle.
"Nothing much just talking about our lives up till now." Said Tiffa while smiling.
"Okay. So ready to go home now? The kid been asking where are their big sis. Hahaha" i said while laughing
"Yes, Let's go. I also already promised onee-chan that I'll visit often."
"Ohh, already calling he onee-chan huh. Well okay. Let's go."

As we got home we continue our daily life. I also begun sending clone to other continents toward Hunter x Hunter, Naruto And Arifureta world. And i also want to take hunter exam at the same time as Gon and Killua. As the seemm to be the same age as us from the information i got there we'll take hunter exam at 11 years old. Another 2 years for us to train. And we also can start training our nen now.

Kurosaki Kira heir of an assasin family died by being killed by his own brother, only to wake up in the body of Sawada Tsunayoshi who died from bullying that went wrong.
