(Author's note this takes place between Force Unleashed 1  &2)Galen Marek,taken by Darth Vader was persuaded by Obi-Wan Kenobi to join the Jedi.now he hunts down his old master to kill him.

Vesha Ka climbed out of her star fighter, wincing as the hot metal burned her skin. She had just landed the craft on one of the private landing pads behind the Jedi Temple. The Jedi couldn't believe that Viper craft still got away from her, she was sure the other pilot was highly skilled, being able to pull off those quick and tight maneuvers was no easy feat, even for a Jedi. She still couldn't believe she hadn't fired at Stilco's ship. She had known it was him, after taking off in search for the Mandalorian the Force seemed to be tugging her toward the Central District area. She at first thought it was just messing with her, but soon even her heart was telling her that she would find the Mando there. And there he was, about to blast the damaged shuttle into pieces. Instead of helping them, she had sped right past, firing her missiles at the other star fighter behind the shuttle. She didn't understand why she had done that instead of turning on the Mando. She scowled, turning as she noticed Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jared Syliss walk over. "Thank you for your assistance out there. We wouldn't be here if you hadn't stepped- er, flew in." Kenobi said, he smiled and held out his hand. "You are quite talented in that Jedi star fighter. Have you considered joining Master Plo Koon and his star fighter squadron?" she shook her head, she didn't really want to stand around and make small talk with the Jedi but she didn't want to disrespectful  either. "No, I have been looking for the man who killed my Master. I didn't have time for trying out for the squadron." Jared was looking at her with a thoughtful expression, what was that look for? She tilted her head slightly in his direction. "Was it Stilco?" he asked. Obi-Wan shot him a sharp frown. But he didn't notice or pretended he didn't. "Yes. It was. When I went to confront him, we fought and he beat me. Pretty easy I'd say." "Ah, he spared you though. Why would he do that?" Jared pressed. "I don't know. H-he didn't tell me why, but if I had to guess he wanted to use my powers to his advantage." "Well, we'd better get going. Jared, come, we must report to the Council." She watched as they turned around and walked away, she heaved a great sigh. She was surprised that they didn't ask why she had been in that area. It seemed kind of suspicious that she had been there at the same time as the Mandalorian. She shrugged, it didn't matter. Now all she had to do was pick up the trail again and find him. Again. 

Chad Cerro stood in front of the Jedi Council, trying to keep the nervousness and anxiety from showing on his face. He failed terribly. Master Yoda sat in his chair, staring at him with a shrewd and wise- somehow kind expression. He lightly rubbed his gimer stick's gnarled surface. Mace Windu was looking down at the data pad in his hands, a permanent frown on his lips and face. He seemed to be the only one in the Council who couldn't- or wouldn't smile. He leaned back, placing the data pad on the arm of his hover chair. "This report is all true? The Mandalorian is that dangerous?" he asked. He was one of the only Jedi to successfully fight a Mandalorian and won without losing an arm or other limb.  Chad nodded. "Yes, I had a hard time fighting him. I barely drove him back and only managed to wound him. As is my friend..." he trailed, not wanting to say more. His friend had been killed by the bounty hunter. It seemed like the armored man had done it so easily too. Chad remember the dark rage that had clouded his vision and mind. He had tapped into the Dark side and that scared him. "Hmm. Feel like leaving something out, you are. I feel the Dark side clouding your mind, consume you it will, if careful you are not." The small green Jedi said gently. Master Plo Koon spoke up from his seat, crossing his long nimble fingers together. "If the Mandalorian can kill Jedi that easily, we need to have Jedi Masters guarding the Chancellor when it comes time for him to make his speech." His voice was so deep that seemed to vibrate in Chad's chest. "I agree, we can not have Jedi Knights handle this alone." Windu said with certainty, he glanced at Yoda who frowned in deep thought. Chad nearly told Mace Windu that he had managed to wound the man and drove him off and he was still a Jedi Knight, but he held his tongue. Now wasn't the time for pride to get in the way of rational thinking. "Agree also, I do. A Jedi Master should also help find this bounty hunter, I also believe. Master Windu, perhaps help Obi-Wan Kenobi and Jared Syliss track him down, you could?" Yoda suggested. "I hardly think that it would take three Jedi to bring him in, but if you think its a wise decision, I will accept this proposal." The dark-skinned Jedi Master said. "You think it too much for tracking down one man, Master Windu?" Ki-Adi-Mundi asked curiously. The Jedi touched his braided beard lightly. "Yes. I do." Mace responded shortly. He leaned back and shook his head. "I think we are overestimating this Mandalorian bounty hunter. I don't believe he could take on a Jedi Master and win." But he could easily kill a Jedi Knight and nearly the other, Chad Cerro thought grimly. "Be hasty to judge his skills, we should not. If underestimate his ability to fight those of us with the Force, lose we may." Yoda cautioned. He pointed toward the two twin doors of the room. "Obi-Wan and young Syliss, give us a report they will." Obi-Wan and a young Jedi walked in. The other Jedi looked barely older than Chad. Around nineteen or twenty. He was well built. Broad-shouldered and tall. His dark colored hair was neatly trimmed unlike Chad's long hair that he hadn't bothered adjusting before making his appearance before the Council. "Kenobi. Syliss." Mace greeted each of them shortly. Jared nodded back in greeting. "Ah, Master Windu, it has been a while since I was called by the Council." Kenobi said with a small smile. He appeared to be trying to cheer up the tense atmosphere. "Agree, I do." Yoda responded. "I think that we should get to the matter at hand, if we can."Jared said politely.

A rogue Mandalorian is tracked down by a vengeful Jedi Knight. Who will win this duel? Will it be the Jedi or the bounty hunter?
PS: I'm pretty sure you guys are wondering why the heck I named the character after myself, right? Well, actually I named MYSELF after HIM. I created this fictional character about four years ago.

Chapter 1, Battle in the Sky

Dick punched the throttle of his starfighter. He could hardly believe that he was a Jedi Knight flying a Jedi Starfighter in a battle in Coruscant's star speckled night sky. Well, technically he was in orbit around the planet, but he tried not to think about the vacuum of space outside his cockpit. He could see clone starfighters battling droid fighters up ahead. Explosions like huge fireworks shook his starfighter. Ion trails blazed after each fighter making them gleam in the dark sky. It was quite beautiful but also quite real. Don't die. Don't die. Dick repeated to himself. He glanced at his heads-up display readout. R3T3, his astromech droid, notified him that he was coming up on two other Jedi beacons. Anakin Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi were just up ahead.

He pulled alongside Obi Wan's starfighter and gave the Jedi Master a fierce grin. His communications earpiece crackled to life. Obi Wan's strained voice came over loud and clear.

"Nice to see another Jedi out here," Obi Wan said, "I was afraid it was just going to be me and Anakin."

"I've got your backs now Master Kenobi," said Dick.

"I don't believe I've had the pleasure, Master…?" Obi Wan tried to look at the raven-haired Jedi Knight flying beside him through his cockpit window.

"Grayson. Dick Grayson."

"Ah. Welcome to the Battle of Coruscant Master Grayson. I'm afraid the middle of a battle isn't the best place to make introductions though."

"Sure it is. It's in the heat of battle people show their true colors," Dick said with a smile. Obi Wan nodded, appreciative of the calm wisdom in the younger knight.

"Hey Grayson, you want in on our bet?" Anakin's voice came over the three-way communicator.

"What bet?" asked Dick a little confused.

Obi Wan tried to say something, but Anakin cut him off. "Lunch at Dex's says I blast two droids for each of yours."

"Anakin…" Obi Wan began.

"Alright, diner," Anakin amended. Dick could hear the smile in his voice.

"You're on Master Skywalker!" declared Dick.

"This is not a game, it's…" Obi Wan tried to say, but Dick and Anakin had already shot ahead of him towards the oncoming Vulture droids. Obi Wan sighed heavily. "Oh, what's the use?" He punched his own throttle and soared towards the thick of the battle. Near misses from the Separatist Cruiser's turbo-laser batteries rocked his small starfighter violently. Obi Wan tasted bile rise up in his throat as one bolt clipped his wing and he struggled to control the sudden spin his fighter was forced into.

When he had wrestled his starfighter under control again, Obi Wan saw Anakin and Dick blasting droids as if it was a game. They were counting their kills and joking over the comm. Boys. He sped up gently working the aft thrusters. He didn't want to risk tearing his ship apart. Catching up with them, Obi Wan pulled up along-side Anakin, who's starfighter was fly inverted and parallel to Dick's. The two young Jedi Knights were grinning fiercely. And Obi Wan recognized the fire in Anakin's eyes. He sighed again.

"That's Grievous's Flagship dead ahead. The one swarming with Vulture droids," said Anakin.

"I see it. Oh, this is going to be easy," said Obi Wan sarcastically.

"Ah no. But it might be fun," Dick corrected him. He was still learning the controls of his starfighter. His stomach had been in knots the whole time. His only piloting experience in his own reality had been flying the Batwing. Now, suddenly he was in the middle of a space battle in a cockpit he had never seen before. He could fly it somehow only because he had R3T3 and a little voice that told him what to do. He assumed it was the force giving him survival hints. Being a Jedi was still a little weird. The only reason he was still alive was Anakin.

All three of them shot forward again, this time towards the mammoth cruiser Invisible Hand. At least thirty Vulture droids peeled away from the cruiser's ventral hull and streaked towards the Jedi. Anakin flipped his craft right-side up again as pounded two droids with his cannons at long distance range. Dick moved over to cover for Obi Wan's failing wing.

"Oddball. Oddball do you copy?" asked Obi Wan over the com.

"I copy Red Leader," answered the clone who's call sign was Oddball.

"Form your squad up behind us, we're going in."

"We're on your six, General Kenobi." The clone's voice was as calm as if he was ordering dinner.

The ACR 170 clone pilots formed into attack positions behind the Jedi. Within seconds, they were breaking off into separate dogfights. Each pilot was thoroughly engaged in their own fight for survival. There was so much sweat rolling down faces, so much anxiety in the force, and so many cannon blasts streaking though space, that even Anakin might be forgiven for turning tail. But they didn't. The battle raged on over Coruscant.

This is Dick Grayson right now:

He is a new Jedi Knight. A new character in an old story. He is untrained in the Jedi arts and he hasn't ever flown a starfighter, much less flown one into a battle of this magnitude, before. But he has a part to play in this story now. Everything outside his cockpit can kill him and he knows it. He isn't used to feeling the rush of the force inside him, because he wasn't born a Jedi. He was born an acrobat in his own reality. But here, in this reality, it's different.

He knows he can die here. Fears that he probably will. He thinks of his brothers on the planet below. He doesn't have a choice. He has to make it through the battel and onto Invisible Hand, because he knows the story all too well. Anakin will kill Count Dooku and turn to the Dark Side. Dick has to be there to stop him and save his brothers and this whole reality from Darth Vader. It's why he jumped into a strange ship and rocketed off into a space battle; to change this reality itself.

Even as he jokes and competes with Anakin and feels the exhilarating rush of adrenalin and the new unbridled joy of the force, Dick feels the pressure of his mission. The danger. The fear that he will never see his brothers again and that he will fail them.

But what made him a hero on earth, is what makes him a hero right now. He is a hero because he stares his own death in the face and doesn't even blink. He chooses the lives of others above his own. And he makes the decision to be stronger than fear, and stronger than the killer he is afraid circumstances want him to become.

This is Dick Grayson, Jedi Knight.

"Missiles!" shouted Anakin over the coms.

"Blast!" muttered Obi Wan.

Oh great, thought Dick. He had no clue what to do about tracking missiles. He turned to R3T3 for help. The little droid advised that he follow Anakin's lead and try spinning. The missiles on their tails were coming in perfect tandem. A simple barrel role would make the missiles collide.

Obi Wan wasn't so lucky. In his case, a role would be worse than useless. It would probably get him killed. He managed to lead one missile into an oncoming droid fighter and trick the other one into exploding before it hit him. Suddenly, the shrapnel form the second missile grew legs and clung to his starfighter. "I'm hit." Obi Wan sounded more annoyed than afraid.

"Buzz droids," said Anakin. He sounded disgusted.

"They're shutting down all of my controls!"

"Move over so I can get a clear shot." He maneuvered himself behind Obi Wan and blasted two buzz droids with his starfighter's cannon along with most of Obi Wan's left wing.

"Hold on Anakin, you're going to get us both killed!" shouted Obi wan almost frantically. He didn't sound very much like the calm Jedi Master he had a reputation for being. "This is why I hate flying," he muttered. His cockpit was starting to fog up. He watched helplessly as a buzz droid destroyed poor R4. Oh dear.

The little droids were crawling all over Obi Wan's starfighter like an infection. Dick could see them through his cockpit canopy, and cringed. Anakin edged his starfighter closer to Obi Wan's before he physically slammed the droids into a smear of metal. Unfortunately, he also destroyed what was left of Obi Wan's left wing.

"What are you doing?" Obi Wan cried in disbelief.

Anakin's voice was tight with concentration. "Just giving you a little help…it's not as easy as it looks."

"Get out of here Anakin. There's nothing more you can do. Get to the Flagship. Get the chancellor."

"I'm not leaving without you Maser." Anakin hit the last buzz droid off Obi Wan's starfighter.

Obi Wan noticed that they were still careening towards Visible Hand at top speed. "Anakin!"

"What?"

"Have you noticed that the shields are still up?"

"I've got it," said Dick. He punched the throttle and shot ahead of the two other Jedi. He blasted the cruiser's exterior control panel with his cannon and the ray-shield on the docking bay vanished. The backup bay doors started to close to replace the ray-shield.

"I've got a bad feeling about this!" said Obi Wan as his starfighter limped towards the massive cruiser. But all three starfighters flew into the docking bay before the huge durasteel doors slammed shut. Obi Wan popped his cockpit canopy and leapt out. He drew his lightsaber mid-air and began taking out the battle droids that started running towards the intruders. Useless tinnies.

Anakin and Dick soon joined him in the brief battle. Their lightsabers held high to deflect the blaster bolts. Dick was amazed by how a real lightsaber worked. Although he had never been properly trained in how to use one, he managed to return several blaster bolts back on the droids. He used his two lightsabers much as he would longer versions of his eskrima sticks as Nightwing. This was actually a lot of fun.

"R2, get to that control panel. Find the chancellor. We'll cover you," Anakin shouted over the noise in the hangar. R2 rolled over to a socket in the wall and plugged himself in. R3 rolled behind him, beeping something that not even Anakin, who seemed to speak fluent droid, could understand.

In just a few minutes, the fight was over and the droids had lost. Badly. The Jedi returned their lightsabers to their belts before regarding each other appraisingly. "Good timing on the assist, Grayson," said Anakin to Dick. "I think you lost the bet though. Where'd you learn to fly anyways?"

Dick smiled sheepishly at Anakin. "Call me Dick. And I learned to fly from my crazy mentor."

"Who was that?" asked Obi Wan curiously.

"Batman," answered Dick without thinking. Anakin and Obi Wan looked at him quizzically. "Well, he was crazy like a bat. His name was Master…" Who? Dick didn't know how to get himself out of this mess. Fortunately, R2 beeped excitedly and the Jedi ran over to him. Dick was off the hook for now.

"There's the Chancellor's beacon," said Anakin pointing. "The General's spire. Do you think it's a trap?"

"It's always a trap," said Dick.

"Next move?" asked Anakin with a fierce grin.

"Spring the trap," Obi Wan smiled back.

Obi-Wan was frantic He had just received a message about Satine challenging Mand'lor of the New Mandalorians for his title and control of all Mandalorians in the galaxy which was already bad. Then a few minutes before he could even leave the temple to head to the Mandalorian embassy he received more news that she had lost in her challenge. 

Obi-Wan knew what that would mean. He was very familiar with Mandalorian customs. The winner could do what he wanted with the loser of such a challenge. He had to make it to the embassy as quickly as possible. Hopefully he could plea for a bit of mercy on Satine Kryze part. If that failed he would atlest try and get her put of their even if that ment he would never be allowed back to the jedi.

He would save her or die trying. Obi-Wan's speeder quickly landed at one of the many landing platform at the building. Mandalorian guards also noticed his arrival and moved to intercept. "Identity yourself and state your business!" One of the guards yelled, but time was of the essence so he tried to use the force to mind trick the guards into letting him pass. "You dont need me to identify myself, and you will take me to see Mand'lor." 

If this had been a guard that Coruscant normally provided for an embassy this would have worked, but Jack did not trust most on the planet so he brought his own people here to guard their embassy. The guards were Earth born Mandalorians. That trick was not going to fly on this people not one but as one of the guards brought his weapon to bear on Obi-Wan.

"Your damn right we are going to bring you to Mand'lor, but not for the reason you think. Trying to pull that jedi mind trick on us you have lost you God damn mind fucking jedi hands on your head right now!" Obi-Wan was shocked this was not going how he planned but before he could act 20 more guards came pouring out of the building. All of them had weapons drawn. If he did not comply it would be likely he would not even make pass the front door.

Slowly he rised his hands and placed them on his head. The guards quickly arrested him a d took away his lightsaber. The cuffs they place on him seemed to inhibit his ability to use the force which was another red flag, but there was little to be done now. As he was marched right inside and straight to the Mand'lor. It was not long before he found him self standing front of a large door all the guards surrounding him still had weapons trained on him just in case he made any attempt to free himself.

On of the guards hit his holo com and Jack's voice could be heard, "What's the problem Mandalorian." "Sir we had a jedi attempt to enter the facility using the force we have brought him here for you." Jack could be heard sighing, " Very well you may enter." His voice then cut off and the doors began to open. Obi-Wan was greeted to a large open field on the sides weapons were lined up against the walls and Jack was sitting on the floor in the middle of the room with Shaak Ti right next to him.

Jack saw the jedi in question and smiled, " Thank you gentlemen but you can release that jedi I happen to know him quite well he is no threat." The men followed his order and Obi-Wan had the cuffs removed and his weapon returned to him. The guards give their Mand'lor a salute then quickly exited the room. " So what can I do for you knight Kenobi. 

Obi-Wan prepared himself then spoke, " I know that Dutchess Satine Kryze has challenge you and lost I am her to ask that you grant her mercy. I will be forever in you debt if you do." Jack laughed and Shaak Ti giggled at the side, "Well now this is a refreshing surprise. To think Obi-Wan Kenobi the jedi who use to have a stick up his ass has fallen in love and with a Mandalorian no less. Oh I will definitely have to tell father about this." 

Obi-Wan was startled he didn't know what to say in this situation. Before he could say anything in his defense Jack continued, "Fear not my friend I have not killed Satine Kryze I simply stripped her of her title and all benefits she has received from it. I planned to move her back to my home world and place her under house arrest for a few years while I separate her old power base and scatter them throughout my systems, but I could have her station here just for you if you like. She would still be under house arrest but with you visiting her I am sure she will feel better about it."

The worry that had been plaguing Obi-Wan visibly faded, and he let loose a breath he didn't know he was holding in. It was Shaak Ti that spoke next," Let's do that dear and quickly inform father that his old padawan is following in his footsteps. Like father like son I suppose." Obi-Wan quickly looked at Shaak Ti, "Father what do you mean?" With out missing a beat Shaak Ti showed Obi-Wan her left hand and on the ring finger was a ring with a sky blue diamond with a besakar band wrapped around it. "As for 10 minutes I have been engaged and will soon be Shaak Ti Skywalker wife to Mand'lor and Mandalorian myself."

For Obi-Wan this was great news as he had come in a moment when Jack would have been his happiest so giving out mercy would not weigh to heavy on his mind." Well then let me be the first to congratulate you two do you have a date planned for the wedding." Before Jack could Answer he received and emergency holo call from Sharia code black. He looked at the data she had sent him and his happy face quickly turn into a frown. 

"Obi-Wan do you happen to know a Jedi Knight called  Vam." Obi-Wan nodded, " I do he is one of the jedi senators why  what's wrong." Jack did not answer immediately but then followed up with a question, " Do the jedi council have complete oversight on the jedi that enter the Senate or do they let them do things on their own." Obi-Wan was not sure he liked this line of questioning but answered Jack as best he could, " The council at most gives jedi a general direction to head in, besides giving out occasional missions and holding promotions ceremonies they largely leave jedi to their own devices outside of the temple."

Jack seemed to relax a bit as he mumbled to himself, "Good then it is unlikely that his act was on the orders of the jedi council...more than likely he is acting alone or with his group of senators. I need to bait them out just to be sure, and confirm with the jedi council that he is acting without their orders." Obi-Wan could not hear what Jack was saying but felt he need to interject some what," If you need any help I am here I did say I would owe you a favor that I would never be able to pay back, atlest let me start paying it."

This brought Jack out of his thoughts as he looked at the man, " Well then can you see if you can get Master Windu and Master Yoda to meet me here in three days time I need to discuss something with them, and if they ask just tell them it is of great importance. For now I need to go and visit Chancellor Valorum to finish our attack plans so I will have to bid you farewell for now. Do come and vist more often father and mother will be returning to Coruscant in a few days and it would he him well to see a friend." 

With that Jack turned to leave with Shaak Ti in toe as they headed to the Senate building to meet with the Chancellor in his office. Obi-Wan also took this moment to leave and head back to the jedi council to deliver the message he had been given. He did not know what was bother Jack but if it had something to do with the jedi then it was not good. More and more Obi-Wan was starting to see the flaws in the way the order had been operating. More and more he was beginning to see that his Master decision to leave may have been the correct one.

Jack and Shaak ride to the Senate hall was a quick flight as they quickly made their way to the Chancellor's office. After a check of identification they were brought in to see the man. On his desk lay stacks of paper as they could see the man furious going through them as fast as he could. Jack could feel the fatigue the man possessed. As  Valorum slowly looked up from his desk to see who had entered. " Ah Mand'lor to what do I owe this pleasure."  Jack cut right to the point, " One of the Jedi senators has betrayed the Republic he has sent information from the Senate session four days ago to some one on Neimoidia about an hour ago."

Chancellor Valorum paled at the news, " The jedi have betrayed us...?" Jack shuck his head no, " I do not believe it was on the orders of the Jedi council, I believe he is acting alone or with the help of his other jedi senators. I have a meeting with some in the council I can trust in three days to confirm. Of it is was the council who ordered it I will deal with the jedi personal, but again I doubt it will come to that. What I have come here to do was to inform you of the information leak as well as to formalize the next steps we will take." 

Valorum nodded, " Then what steps should we take Mand'lor." Jack smiled, " Bait the trap and catch the traitors. So let's call a session meeting were we discuss the plan of action tell the Senate that in 9 months time the fleets will be assembled and ready to attack then on the 10 month we will launch the assault. However the truth of the matter is we will be ready in 5 months and launch the attack in 6 and this will only be known to you and me that way if the jedi sends the session information it is unless and we have our evidence." 

The Chancellor agrees  and the plan was set a day after he confirmed with the jedi council they would have their session and would lay the ground work for the opening move of the war.

The current world is faced with a shattering choice. We find out Lucas ideas and concepts did not come from the realm of fiction, but from a force vision trying to prepare the world for the inevitable... The Arrival.

(I am making this simply because a Star Wars  fan-fic has such the wealth of opportunity it is a shame that there have not been more on this site. Plus the one I have run across has been such a disappointment it forced my hand. Do not have any idea how this is going to go but I plan on finishing this story not matter how it ends.)

Chapter Ten

The grass was dead, and the feeling that rippled through the Force had the same wrongness of tar and oil mixed together in a thick plum of smoke. The feeling rasped on Ahsoka's tongue as she gazed at a cloaked figure rushing along the landscape further ahead of her and Master Kenobi, a flurry of crimson blows mixed with the blue blaze of Knight Skywalker's hits.
Yet Obi-Wan's distress was palpable through the air, and Ahsoka blinked as she realized the Force was peculiarly thick in the area -then again, her Master hadn't been lying about the effort poured through the mere act of changing an ecosystem. The Force itself morphed to accept the will of her master, but as it did, it changed and warped into a darker shade of itself.
"Help Anakin," Master Kenobi said, "keep yourself safe, padawan."
And then he jumped and sped up, soon leaving her behind as he rushed up a spire of rock with the Force powering through each of his leaps -a giant, bulky metal robot of sorts already near the summit of the rocky spire.
Deep below in the jungles, however, Ahsoka ignited her lightsaber as she drew nearer to the source of the battle. She felt a slight sense of reproach from Knight Skywalker, probably thinking he'd be capable of facing the enemy alone, even though the woman -Asaji Ventress, wasn't it? But how did she know, precisely, her face and mannerism before even coming to face her?- was clearly holding out with ease against the knight.

"You're a fun diversion, but not my favorite toy, Skywalker," Asaji purred with an amused voice.
"Shut up, Ventress. Obi-Wan has better things to do than scratch your lice-infested itches."
Uhhh, was that an insult? Ahsoka had to roll her eyes. Really, that man's barbs needed some refining to be done. She didn't ponder on subtleties and insults however, and rushed in at the first opening. Her blue lightsaber met the sizzling crimson one of Asaji -she had two, and used them both quite lethally to boot.
"Oh my, and what do we have here?" Asaji purred, overpowering with a single hand Ahsoka's attack, sending her to tumble back as she twisted in order to avoid Skywalker's blow coming for her head.
"What are you doing here!?" Knight Skywalker exclaimed, barely sparing her a glance before assuming a guard position slightly in front of her.
"Master Kenobi asked me to help, Skyguy!" Ahsoka shot back hotly. "So I'm helping!"
"Go help someone else, I've got everything under control!" Anakin yelled.
"Right! See, if you had everything under control, we'd be hurrying to save my master!" Ahsoka retorted.
"Your master can take care of himself!" Anakin exclaimed.
Asaji raised a hairless eyebrow -really, she didn't have a single hair on her face- and smirked. "Oh, so you're Night's apprentice? Tell me, how is that failure of a Jedi doing? I was positively thrilled to feel his Dark Side manipulate the Force once more. My master would be oh so very interested in hearing of his permanent fall."
Ahsoka ground her teeth, "Speak for yourself, Sith!" she clenched her lightsaber tighter. "The only one who's going to fall is you, flat on your face! Not that there's much worse that can be done to it, I guess. Did you have a face-to-face with a tank of acid in your youth, centuries ago?"
Asaji's eyes narrowed. "The padawan dies first," she said firmly. Ahsoka didn't falter -she really would have liked to falter, but she didn't, because she had to give off the impression of being strong, and not having outright pissed off a Sith who probably knew how to fight better than her, because her master hadn't taught her a single advanced lightsaber form.

Asaji charged, both lightsabers blazing in the air as with a twin swing she struck against knight Skywalker's sword, before twisting only one of the two blade and forcing Anakin to avoid it by ducking to the side. Spinning with the lightsaber used as a fulcrum, she pirouetted in mid-air and came down hard on Ahsoka's own blade, lifted horizontally to parry the blow. With a furious spinning and slashing, Asaji forced Ahsoka to bat away each strike with a precise motion of her blue lightsaber, which sizzled from the repeated blows. A kick reached for her stomach, but Ahsoka dodged it, coming down on the over-extended limb with her teeth grinding together. This time, Asaji had to block the first blow.
Knight Skywalker came from the side with his own strike, and suddenly, the situation reversed and Asaji took the defensive as Ahsoka swung her lightsaber strike after strike, Skywalker attacking from the side.
Asaji took a step back, and then another. She began to cede ground, her feet digging into the dead mud of Felucia. Abruptly once more, she stopped retreating and spun both blades, roaring in fury as she advanced. Her frustration gave her strength.
Ahsoka jumped back, a hand digging in the mud as she spun her legs to kick Asaji's right lightsaber out of the Sith's hand. A quick burst of the Force returned the lightsaber nigh immediately into her hand, but in that brief moment, Skywalker's own attack had nearly pierced through her one-handed defense, stopping an inch away from her face and leaving behind a burn mark on her right cheek.
With a hiss, Asaji crossed her lightsabers and flexed her legs. She was going to run. Ahsoka knew she was going to run. She wasn't allowed to run. Nobody was allowed to run away from a battle. You fought until you won or you died.

"Where do you think you're going?!" Ahsoka shot out as Asaji moved a single leg behind her other. The Sith's eyes fixed on her and Skywalker, and then she snorted.
"Only a fool would stay to fight a lost battle."
The next moment, Asaji spun and ran, Skywalker lunging forward to pursue. Ahsoka took a single step in the direction of Asaji to pursue, but stopped. She stopped as a cloying feeling reached for her neck, as a grip slowly began to lift her up. She couldn't breathe, let alone yell a warning at Skywalker. A robed figure of black marched carefully out from the thick, dying undergrowth of Felucia, an old man's face barely visible through Ahsoka's blurred vision.
"Pathetic," the old man hissed, and as the Force obeyed, Ahsoka felt herself flung across the landscape, against a nearby tree. She wobbled on her feet for a moment, her eyes narrow trying to catch a better glimpse of the robed figure -Dooku. Count Dooku. Here. Why? How? This wasn't a part of the plan.
And then Count Dooku turned, and began to walk towards the direction Asaji had run, and where Skywalker was still pursuing the Sith, having forgotten everything about the Padawan that was supposedly temporarily assigned to him.
Ahsoka gasped for air as she clutched her chest, her back burning from the violent strike against the tree. She had even left an indentation in it -like Will E. Coyote against the rock. She blinked. Why did she have the funny image of a coyote running through her head, hitting through painted walls of rock trying to reach a running blue bird?
Her tongue tasted blood, but she had little doubt on how Knight Skywalker would fare alone against two powerful Sith. At the same time, if she just slowed down Count Dooku enough -the best fighter of the Jedi barring Yoda, not a chance in hell, not a chance in the seven kingdoms of hell, that's stupid, that's really stupid, too stupid, ultra-stupid. There's a certain level of stupidity known as 'mega-ultra-ultra stupid' and you qualify for it if you even think you can take him on.
"Do or do not," Ahsoka whispered to herself, quieting her erratically beating heart. "There is no try."

Her vision focused. Ahsoka charged across the barren clearing to the robed figure, lightsaber ablaze. It was fast. One moment, she was in mid-air, lightsaber coming down on the robed figure. The next moment, a lightsaber struck through her guts with blazing fury and pain unlike any other, and as it did, the man turned to give her just one last look of uttermost disdain.
"That was pathetic, padawan."
Then he deactivated the lightsaber as she fell, clutching the hole that dug into her stomach -no blood seeped through, and she could somehow still move her legs and feet. Her lightsaber fell and rolled across the dead mud, and while she was at his mercy, Count Dooku didn't waste more than a second glance at her. He simply resumed walking towards Skywalker. He didn't even run. He just walked away. He walked as if she were nothing. He walked away as if she wasn't worth even a single instant of attention. He walked away without even looking back, sure she would just cradle herself and wait for death to come.
She wasn't going to lie down and die.
She was going to stand up and fight.
She felt tired, but so what? She felt hurt, but so what? She felt a gripping desire to let go and sleep, to let go and die, but she wasn't going to. The air of Felucia suddenly warmed up considerably, as if whatever had turned the planet 'off' had been removed. A sinking feeling in her guts told her that maybe, just maybe, Obi-Wan hadn't managed to stop the assassin from killing her Master. But the bond was still there, and she knew that was a lie. The bond pulsed with warmth, and as it did, Ahsoka's eyes fluttered to a close. It felt as if somebody had enveloped her in a warm blanket, and when she blearily opened her eyes a few moments later, she was no longer in the dead clearing.

She was in the medical bay of a spaceship. She was in the medical bay of a spaceship, and was apparently sharing a room with Master Kenobi and Knight Skywalker.
"The way I see it," Kenobi said suddenly, as if aware he was no longer the only one awake, "We must have used a year's worth of luck to survive this."
"The way I see it," Skywalker retorted, "I need to train more."
Ahsoka hesitated, clearly feeling in the air that it was her cue to speak, yet not feeling overtly the desire to start a conversation. A tiny nudge in the back of her head brought her to finally talk, but that nudge was more an invisible and silent, 'Just say something or the silence is going to turn awkward' thing.
"The way...I see it," Ahsoka said, "My master needs to teach me a better form than form zero."
"My sympathies, young one," Obi-Wan winced, and Ahsoka could feel, even without looking at the man's face, the 'wince' on Kenobi's face. "Form Zero is a perfectly valid form, mind you. It just...isn't suited to those who don't have another mean to defend themselves."
"Isn't Form Zero about not using your lightsaber?" Skywalker asked from his bed, a frown on his face. "How is that even considered a lightsaber form?"
"It is an art," Master Kenobi replied. "Very misunderstood, not practiced all that much, and I think Master Yoda's words were something like-"
"The best blades are kept in their sheaths," Ahsoka's ears twitched as she realized her Master had just stepped inside the room, both arms hidden in his robe's sleeves, a hesitant look on his face. "I swear, I sometimes think Master Yoda can speak straight, but chooses not to as a way to appear unique. I can't understand how else he can quote people without messing up the order of the words otherwise."
Silence descended in the infirmary.
Ahsoka didn't understand why, but a slightly cold breeze began to blow.
"So," her Master said offhandedly, with minimum fuss, and minimum heat, "I have meditated."
Ahsoka could feel Obi-Wan's desire to escape through the window in the depths of space, while Skywalker seemed kind of strangely feeling a 'Come at me, bro! Come at me!'
"I thought, and correct me if I'm wrong," her Master finally came into view, and he looked tranquil. He looked very tranquil. Yet, she could see floating behind him a representation of the masked Sith with fury in his eyes hidden by the mask's slits. "That Knight Skywalker had to strike down the droid army's commander. Not General Grievous, who is the 'Great General' or whatever, and not 'Asaji Ventress', but the 'Droid Army commander'. I think, and here correct me if I'm wrong, that the droid army's commander was specifically designed as a control unit? And hitting it would keep the rest of the army highly disorganized?"
"General Grievous and Asaji counted for the chain of command," Skywalker said. Ahsoka felt her breath disappear as the ground metaphorically quaked beneath her feet.
"You had hours to strike at unarmed droids, and instead chose to pursue two very strong elements that would have, anyway, taken swabs of time out of the time allotted for the operation."
"You would have died," Master Obi-Wan remarked kindly, trying to deflect the silent and cold fury in Master Shade's voice. "If we hadn't intervened to stop them, you would have died."

Master Shade took a deep breath, and as he did, the blood ran cold into Ahsoka's veins. The fury settled on her. "What. Where. You. Thinking. Padawan?"
"I...I helped?" Ahsoka tried to smile, and winced from the pain in her stomach. "Skyguy was totally getting his ass handed to him against Ventress, so I had to help him. Master Kenobi said so!"
"Amusing," her master replied flatly, the ground trembling beneath her feet -metaphorically, because the ground was the metal of the spaceship, and it wasn't trembling, "I'm referring to challenging Dooku."
"Do or do not," Ahsoka whispered out, feeling terribly small in front of that stare. "There...There is no try."
"Do," her master retorted, "Or do not. There is no shame in a tactical retreat. There is nothing to cry over if you fail, but live to fight another day. One thing is to run away in fear, another is to run away knowing you had no chances. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge." Her Master sighed, and pinched the bridge of his nose, massaging it. "Felucia is still under Separatist control, but we managed to cut out large swabs of territory from Separatist control at least. On paper, this is a victory. In reality, Felucia will grind the Republic for men and resources for everything it's worth. I'm too tired to deal with this, but rest assured," he turned to walk out, "Padawan, you and I will need to have more words after you've recovered."
As her master was about to leave, he suddenly stopped. "Ask," he said flatly.
And Ahsoka did.
"What...what is the question, Master?" Ahsoka asked, her chest bubbling with a plethora of different emotions. She could at least try to make it right a tiny bit by answering the question. Whatever the question was.
Her master took a very deep breath, and sighed, scratching the side of his head as he turned to give her a soft look.
"What have you learnt, padawan?"

Ahsoka opened her mouth, and then closed it. She had to think this through properly. She had to give a good answer, one that her master would like, one that...that was the right one, because her Master wanted truth out of her, and not a honeyed...he simply wanted her to speak what was in her chest.
"To...never expect victory," she whispered, her eyes slightly unfocused as she looked at her bed's sheets. "That...losing sucks. That I'm...I'm weak. And that...that you're mad, madder than a mad rancor eating grass and fruits." She lifted her gaze to meet her master's, "And...and that I should never lose myself to emotions."
Her Master chuckled. "Easier said than done," he walked closer to her and patted her head once. "Now get some rest, padawan. Don't let grumpy and beardy get to you. They're mostly harmless."
"That nickname is insufferable, Sh-" Anakin began, but her master shot him a calm, peaceful glance.
"Grumpy, remember the bitch-slap. I'm frustrated enough I've got another ready with your name on whenever you want it." He smiled. Anakin huffed, and looked away with his arms crossed in front of his chest. Bad move, because he clearly winced and quickly dropped them to his sides.
Then her master left the room, and as the doors slid to a close, Obi-Wan said with a kind of amused voice.
"He didn't make a scene with his padawan in the room. I told you the idea was genius."
Anakin exhaled. "Yes, you were right, he was...particularly subdued."
Ahsoka blinked. "Uhm...what are you two talking about?"
"Nothing," they both said quickly. "Nothing at all," they added faster still.
Then, they both faked -very poorly in Ahsoka's opinion- a sudden bout of sleepiness.
...

So it wasn't just her master who was mad.
Most of the Jedi order that knew him was mad too.

Sar's meal was interrupted by the sound of the penthouse doors sliding open. He immediately tensed up in case a threat had somehow made up. However, he relaxed when he saw a familiar figure, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi. 

Sar had talked to Kenobi a few times but hadn't really formed an opinion on of the man. From what he had felt from their few encounters the man was a dedicated Jedi, which Sar had great respect for, he had also heard of Kenobi's borderline prodigal use of the third lightsaber form. 

Shifting his gaze from the bearded Jedi his gaze landed on the young man, only a few years younger than himself, that stood next to him. 

Sar had, of course, heard of 'The Chosen One' and he certainly understood how he had been granted that title, while still, young an unrefined Sar could clearly feel that the young man was strong in the Force to an abnormal degree. 

Sar sat up from his position on the couch and left his half-eaten steak on the small coffee table, and headed over to his two fellow Jedi. 

He stopped, however, as he felt a disturbance in the Force that came from Skywalker. Sar was greeted to the boy looking dazedly at the Senator. While Sar was not one hundred percent sure what that expression meant he had an idea as to what it could mean. 

While Sar certainly had his disagreements in regards to the Jedi's way of handling things, forbidding romantic relationships was not one of them. Ignoring the Jedi's belief in the fact that emotions turn you to the Dark Side, the existence of such a relationship does create an exploitable weakness, something Sar felt should not be present in a profession where the work they do concerns the peace of the entire universe.

Resuming his approach he sent a little wave of Force at Skywalker snapping him out of his daze and making him snap his head towards him. 

"Greetings Master Kenobi, young Skywalker," Sar greeted them with a thin smile and a small bow. "I hope that no problems occurred on your way over here."

Obi-Wan returned the smile and made a little bow of his own. 

"No, no problems at all," Obi-Wan sent a cheeky smile to his Padawan who was currently sizing up Sar. "Although, my young Padawan here had to stir up some trouble with the locals."

Anakin made a dismissive snort but said nothing in return he just kept staring at Sar with the occasional glance at the Senator. 

"Hmm, patience is an important trait in any Jedi young Skywalker. You should not strive to create unnecessary trouble." Sar spoke in a calm tone. He did not want to scold the young Jedi but he still felt it should be said especially after the foreboding expression he had worn before.

It would seem Anakin wanted to say something, but he was interrupted by the soft voice of the Senator, that until that moment had just been passively listening to the greetings.

"Wait, Skywalker?" When she repeated the name something seemed as her face lit up in realization. She pointed at Anakin and asked. "You're Ani?!" 

Her voice was tinged by surprise, but Sar could clearly sense the feelings of happiness that emanated from the Senator.

The Senator was not the only one to be surprised apparently, as Anakin jumped a little at the sudden mention of the nickname she had given him all those years ago, but it would seem that the Jedi training had rubbed off on him somewhat as he collected himself and responded with a confident 'yes'. 

It did not take long for those two to slip into an isolated discussion and they moved away from the two Jedi Knight's and began talking over by the window. 

Sar considered interrupting the conversation and pulling Anakin back, seeing as that foreboding expression had returned to his face, but he can see that the Senator did not seem interested in that sort of relationship, so he let it go for now.  

While he was looking at the tow of them while rubbing his chin, Obi-Wan had walked up to stand next to him. 

"He still has a lot to learn but I have seen the potential he has." Obi-Wan said while also looking at the young pair. 

"I know," Sar said before he sighed and shook his head. "But we both know that the discipline required to be a Jedi is the hardest part, and even the strongest of us struggle."

Obi-Wan just nodded his head and kept silent as the two stared at the young pair animatedly talking about what had happened in the time they hadn't seen each other. 

It was Sar that eventually broke this silence. 

"Well Master Kenobi, it doesn't look like they'll be done talking anytime soon," Sar lifted his right hand and used the Force to open a cabinet and levitate a bottle of rum and two small glasses, before placing them on the coffee-table. "Shall we converse over a drink while we wait for the kids to finish playing?" 

Obi-Wan grinned and raised an eyebrow. 

"Drinking on the job Master Landala?" 

Sar just smiled and sat down on the sofa, Obi-Wan following his lead and sitting in a sofa located in across from him. 

"One of the perks of being a Jedi," Sar poured a glass for each of them before he raised his. "We don't get drunk unless we want to." 

Obi-Wan raised his own glass and clinked it against Sar's. 

"Haha, truer words have rarely been spoken, my friend."

Sar and Obi-Wan had been drinking and chatting for a couple of minutes when Captain Panaka, the man officially in charge of Padme Amidala's security, finally arrived in the penthouse. 

He had been running around making sure that everything was secure down on the ground floor and that no one had been able to slip through a crack in his security, and also assigning people to actually track down the assassin.

"Master Jedi, please excuse my delay." While his speech was polite Sar was able to clearly detect that he was not happy that he and his fellow Jedi had been assigned as guards without his approval. A trait Sar found quite admirable. Loyalty was an important trait for any being in Sar's opinion.

"There is no need for that captain, we can hardly fault you for doing your duty." It was Obi-Wan who answered the man, and after a few more exchanging of words, we got down to business. 

Everyone in the room gathered at the sofas and coffee-table, Padme sitting on the couch with her back facing the window, Panaka standing right next to her. The three Jedi sat on the couch opposite of her.

Sar cleared his throat and began talking. 

"So, Now that we are in charge of your security miss Senator, let me go over the rules." Sar clearly saw Padme's look of displeasure at the mention of rules, but he did not care about the girl's feelings he had a job to do. 

"Until the vote, you will be staying here since we are three Jedi one of us will patrol outside the penthouse every now and then while two stays with you. You will under no circumstances leave this room, is that clear?" 

Padme snorted and gave a reply. 

"I do not need protection I need answers," She locked eyes with Sar. "Something I cannot get if I'm locked in this room. So to answer your question, no that is not 'clear'." 

Sar remained calm, even though he did not like the girl's attitude he also recognized that her rebuttals were not malicious, merely misguided. It was not Sar however that responded, but the young Skywalker. 

"Don't worry Padme, we'll figure out who is out to hurt you, I promise." 

Sar snapped his head to look at the young Jedi. This was not the way of a Jedi to act, but it was not his place to rebut him that duty fell to the man who spoke up next. 

"Anakin, our mission is to protect the Senator, not find her would-be killer," He then gestured to Panaka. "That duty falls on the Captain and his men." 

Anakin did not seem pleased with that answer as he once again opened his mouth. 

"Yeah, because they did such a great job at that the first time." 

Arrogance, was the first thought that came to Sar's mind when he heard the boys statement. It would seem that Kenobi had not been kidding when he said the boy still had a lot to learn. It would seem that the statement had also rubbed the Senator the wrong way. 

"Ani! That is highly disrespectful and short-sighted of you to say such a thing," While Sar would be the first to say that he did not like the Senator he had to admit that she had a fire. "Apologize to the Captain immediately."

Anakin looked like he had been hit by a rock as he mumbled a soft 'I'm sorry' while looking down. Seeing as they were moving further and further away from the original subject Sar decide to put an end to this debacle. 

"Enough! We will protect the Senator, and I mean only protect the Senator," Sar stared both the Senator and the young Padawan down before he continued. "The Captain and the Republic guards know what they are doing they will find the assassin until then we will stay here." 

Sar had used a bit of the Force so that each of his words had carried a bit more weight. 

Padme and Anakin both gave out a low displeased 'understood' before Padme excused herself and went into her chambers.

When she was gone Panaka gave us a final glance before he also excused himself, he was probably eager in joining the hunt for the assassin. Sar received a glare from the young Padawan, he realized he was probably not the boy's favorite person right now, not that he cared all that much anyhow. 

Sar stood up from the couch and looked out the window. The sky had turned dark and the various buildings and signs were all lit up in different colors signaling that nighttime was upon them. Turning his head a little he addressed the other Jedi Knight in the room.

"Obi-Wan, I will take the first patrol around the building, you two stay alert this would be the opportune time for an attempt on the Senator's life." 

"Do not worry my friend, Anakin and I will keep her safe. You just make sure you don't start any trouble out there." Sar gave a small grin and shook his head before he pulled the hood of his cloak over his head and headed out.

On top of a roof a couple of buildings away from the penthouse that housed Amidala and the Jedi. Two figures could be seen arguing. 

"I'm telling you, Fett, there are three of them!" The raspy voice of a woman rung out as she was pointing a finger at a man wearing a full set of Mandalorian battle armor. 

"Shouldn't our payment for the job be raised?!" The woman sounded highly agitated but the man remained silent. 

"Say something!" 

"We already accepted the job, Sam," The calm voice, slightly muffled by the helmet, answered. "And we failed our first attempt, trust me when I say that we are lucky we get a second." 

It would seem the woman, Sam, wanted to argue more but she gave up and let her raised arm fall limply to her side. 

"Fine, then what the plan?" She asked exasperated. 

The male assassin, Fett, reached into the belt that hung around his waist and detached a long metal cylinder. 

"Overload Charge," He handed the cylinder over to the woman. "Attach it to your droid and fly it right up to the Senators bedroom window detonate it and that whole room will be nothing more than rubble. Even the Jedi can't sense a droid." 

Sam nodded. It was a good plan, even if the Jedi somehow caught wind of it and tried to save the Senator they would just be blown to smithereens along with the target. 

Just as she was about to get into her position she was interrupted by Fett once again. 

"Oh, and Sam don't get caught." And with that final warning, he walked around the corner of the building and disappeared into the shadows. 

Sam just snorted as she unpacked the droid she had brought with her and started attaching the Overload Charge to it. 

"Don't get caught you say. Why don't you just do this work yourself." Sam smiled a wicked grin as she pulled out a hologram that displayed a bounty poster. The picture was that of a Mandalorian helmet, and underneath stood a name. 

"Jango Fett, 100.000 credits." 

Sam closed the hologram and began humming a tune as she unpacked a load of parts for a large stun gun, which she had hidden inside the various gaps in the droid's armor. 

"Two for the price of one."

In a galaxy far away... 

Sar Landala was a talented Jedi Padawan. He truly believed in the Jedi's teachings and wanted to protect the peace in the galaxy. 

But events made him believe that the Jedi Order he adored wasn't what he thought it was, and every day the Dark Side seems more tempting.  

Sith or Jedi. 

Hope or Despair.

Harmony or Chaos.

Komire was thoroughly enraged by the time he had cut a path through resisting Deathwatch and Separatists forces... the people they had their 'Fun' with either being given Emergency medical attention by clone troopers, or were granted a painless death. 

Komire had believed he was immune to such horrors like those that surrounded him now... but even with all he had seen and experienced on Earth, it couldnt have prepared him for the utter brutality, and savagery some of his foes had used against people that were their neighbors, and in some cases probably family...

 Komire led his troops onward through the chaos, aiding any forces that defended the citadel from intruders, and even witnessing some deserters of Deathwatch under the command of the Duchess's sister fight against the very organization they once rallied for... many Clones eyed the deserters with caution, but otherwise let them be... even letting them join in the small Hazzing groups that 'Educated' the captured 'pirates'... although the Duchess's sister was less than pleased, she didn't interfere at all.

Komire stowed away the violet blade of his two sabers, and then proceded to clear a path through the rubble blocking the Citadel's entry with the Force,  never dropping his guard as he did so. All while being closely followed by Clones, and Prior-Deathwatch Mandos alike.

Off in the distance, and down side streets, there were explosions and blaster fire echoing within the Domed City and although Komire was making his way through narrow halls, and corridors on his way towards the "Throne room" he could still perceive the cries of agony and pain around the city.

making his way through the rubble, Komire came upon a rather tense sight... Obiwan was standing in front of the Duchess, and facing a pair of Zabrak warriors wielding lightsabers... lightsabers the color of blood...

Komire recognized the pair as Savage Opress, and Maul, however the events taking place were not what he remembered from the origional series from earth. Maul was facing off against Kenobi, and Savage was up against multiple Mandalorian gaurds...  the place was in a tense stalemate... which was broken upon his entry...

All of the people present were surprised to see someone enter the chamber, even after it was supposed to be completely obstructed by the Deathwatch and droids outside. 

"And here I thought you said there would be no one coming..." Kenobi taunted the Zabrak Darkside users, "... how very disappointing."

Hearing Obi-wan say such things made a small smile return to Komire's lips. the pure sarcasm, and ridicule that oozed out of that one scentence, and the fact that he held such an attitude even when he was previously in a very difficult spot, made Komire admire the man even more.

Looking around the room, Komire spotted the head of the deathwatch... but to his amazement... the man didn't have the dark saber... and when komire glanced towards Maul... saw he didn't have it either... all he had was but a single red bladed lightsaber that looked to be a half of the origional one he had, when Kenobi bisected him on Naboo.

With furrowed brows, komire stepped forward and, while ignoring the two with before him, made his way towards the leader of Deathwatch, who was off near the back of the groups engaged against the Duchess's family's warriors... her clan markings clearly visable on the well trained men and women facing down the traitorous group, and their leader.

Komire had no thoughts of mercy for the man, nor his group... but there was one thing bothering him... he could feel the battle in space become alot more chaotic, and new ships kept entering his perception. He could even feel some new ships enter the atmosphere. Although all this was going through his mind, and several thoughts on the matter sped by as well, Komire wasnt even five steps from the opening he came through... his 'eyes' still locked on the silver/black armored visage of his target.

the clones and Prior Deathwatch members that followed him in either quickly went to the Duchess and Obi-wan, or aided one of the two groups still fighting Savage, and the Deathwatch leader.

Maul didn't move at all upon seeing the armor clad jedi step into the room.... not even to retort back at Obi-wan for his blatant mockery of him. Maul on the other hand, felt a sense of dread when the man entered the room. Mauls horns burned with the emotions storming within him, and his grip on his saber hilt tightened to the point of turning his blackened colored hands paleish, at least compared to their normal color. Glancing back at his brother, ignoring the jedi who had once almost killed him, Maul slowly started backing up... making sure that he could keep his opponents in sight... even if it was the corner of his vision, as he slowly made his way towards Savage Oppress.

this actually didn't go unnoticed by Obi-wan kenobi, and the Duchess.

The Force had become stagnant for the Zabraks, however it was only Maul that noticed such a thing... that one thing though, sent deathly chills through the mostly cyborg man. Maul was extremely tense as he watched Kenobi begin to stalk towards the exit, and the 'unknown jedi' being almost behind him near his Mandalorian allies... the Zabrak was getting deathly chills all over his body... and if anyone bothered to pay attention to the once named Governor of Concordia Pre Vizsla and his group, they would have noticed that the once intense fight to the death was over, and what was left of both sides were slowly backing away from one another... careful to not step on their fallen comrades.

As Komire walked closer, every Mandalorian present started watching Komire fearfully... because as Komire got closer, his aura slowly changed as well. 

The air felt heavy on all the people in the room, and only seemed to get even heavier, ending up causing those too weak, or to injured to stand, to collapse to the ground, their legs unable to hold them any more... but even then, the pressure built up unendingly.

Pre Vizsla warily looked towards the armored 'Jedi' walking towards them... confusion, and fury swirling through his mind... 'Why were the Jedi here? They weren't supposed to be here!!!'

Looking past the approaching Jedi's shoulder, he watched as the supposed Sith lord was backing away from the target of their operation... The one the Sith promised to kill to gain their support for the war... 

As Pre Vizsla glanced hatefully at the Duchess, he was forced to look away towards Komire again, because he saw something from the edge of his peripheral... and the Leader of the Deathwatch was stunned... the 'Jedi' was wielding a Black lightsaber... something only the Dark saber should have.

Obi-wan and the Duchess however, moved towards the Clone troopers, and a rather surprising amount of prior Deathwatch members led by the Duchess's sister, as they walked towards the elaborate 'Throne' rooms exit with weapons raised. When the Duchess was sent out with an escort of troopers, the atmosphere in the room turned cold...

Komire was thoroughly vexed at the group of men before him... the Deathwatch members still alive, had weapons trained on everyone in sight nearby, and the same was for the Duchess's Gaurds. Taking a deep breath, Komires words resounded within the hall like thunder to the listening parties...

"Is this what Mandalorian Warriors have become? Frankly I am disappointed...", Looking at each member of the Deathwatch Komires words turn cold, " ...From what I remember of you people, the Canons of Honor were your greatest pride, but looking at the wasteland I had just come through to get here, I dont see warriors... just a bunch of pirates, and thugs."

Many of the people were stunned by Komires blatant outburst, but were soon snapped back to reality by the cold Bloodlust emminating from the man as he finished speaking.

The only one brave enough to face the cold words and pressure was Pre Vizsla himself, but even a he spoke, he was shut down coldly by Komire.

"We are..." Pre Vizsla had said.

"...Rapists, butchers, thugs, Executioners, and Pirates!" Komire finished, starting from a normal talking voice and progressively getting louder and even angrier as he spoke... But suddenly the hall went quiet... Komire said into the silence hall, his quiet words sounding like he was yelling them, "... And to see such things from those calling themselves Mandalorian, is a slap in my face."

Komire knew he was acting out for things that had happened in his past life... but using those memories, Komire let all of it flow... If He wanted to make the Mandalorians rise, He will have to be the Devil himself here and now...

Although Komires eyes couldnt be seen... the watching crowd of Deathwatch members all thought they could see two crimson orbs through the helmet itself that Komire wore.

"I do not claim to be Righteous, nor do I claim to be Evil... But for you..." Everyone present, Obi-wan included, felt a sliver of fear grab hold over their mind, "... I am, The Law!"

The eleven members of Deep Squad were just like Dageer remembered them, perhaps with a few more scars. ARC Trooper Colt, of Rancor Battalion, on the other hand, was clearly a seasoned soldier, who had gone through a lot.

In the room were also Jedi generals Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Shaak Ti, and Ahsoka Tano, as well as their respective clone commanders, and a few soldiers Dageer didn't know. They all had serious expressions on their faces, a testament to the importance of the battle to come.

After paying his respects to the Jedis, Hell Squad nodded at their brothers, greeting them, and paying special attention to the new faces. They were two, from the 501st Legion. One of them had a number 5 tattooed on his head, while the other had a blue handprint in his right chest. Both had the disposition of old veterans, but also some of the anxiety of a new trooper. Dageer guessed they had their first combat situation not long ago, but they were better than normal clones. Not unlike how Hell Squad came to be, back on the first days of the Clone Wars.

Captain Rex, Commander Cody, and Broodi from Deep Squad all nodded at them, while the two troopers saluted Dageer. Colt inspected the special unit in front of him, and it didn't take long for him to be convinced that they truly were something else.

Turning his attention back to General Shaak Ti, who was explaining how they got word of what was, at first, a surprise attack by the Separatist. As she told the people around the hologram table about how a battalion of commando droids had been sent to take over a sentry post on Rishi Moon, Dageer understood why the two 501st troopers, Fives and Echo, were there. They, together with Commander Cody and Captain Rex, had been the sole survivors of the garrison. A member of their squad, called Hevy, had sacrificed himself, by holding back the clanckers, and later blowing himself up with the sentry post. With it destroyed, the 'safe' signal that was sent was switched off, telling the Republic that something was wrong.

To that, Dageer nodded at Echo and Fives. He knew it wasn't easy to lose a squad member, and also their sergeant, and several friends. However, according to General Shaak Ti, they had behaved as true soldiers.

"Master Skywalker will be commanding our fleets in the air, from his own fighter. Obi-Wan and I will stay here, to protect our facilities."

The young Jedi nodded, and so did his padawan. Seeing that the rest of the meeting didn't have to do with his role in the battle, both took their leave. They didn't know how long it would take for General Grievous to arrive, so they had to be prepared. 

Recently, Dageer reflected, most of the battles he had been to had had to do with either General Grievous or Asajj Ventress. He guessed that was what it meant to be a special unit.

"All right. On Kamino, the Separatist will have two main objectives. The first one will be to cause destruction, and kill as many cadets in training as possible."

"They can't do that! They are only children!"

Coburn, a member of Deep Squad, couldn't help but say that. While Dageer agreed, he also knew that the clone only said that because he hadn't partaken in enough battles. That would change soon, unfortunately.

"The seppies don't care. For them, a clone is a clone, no matter if they are soldiers or cadets."

"I fear to say that Cody is right. The Separatist war machines will shoot anything and anyone who isn't one of them."

Several faces nodded when they heard General Kenobi. They didn't need a reminder of how brutal the war was. Every trooper had done things he regretted, and so had the seppies.

"Uham... Their second target will be our matrix facilities. There are three of them, and each contains a sample of the original genetic cone for the clones. Unchanged, and intact. Commander Dageer, I believe you were involved in an incident that took place in Coruscant, regarding a mad Separatist scientist?"

Remembering the blue-skinned man, and his brothers coughing up blood, dying while Dageer and the others watched, powerless, he nodded. 

"They failed that time, because the genetic code of every clone was modified. Those three samples, however, weren't. If they get their hands on it, it will only be a matter of time before they can create a virus or a toxin that will destroy and kill our entire army in days."

"Can't we move them to a safer place?"

"I fear not, Broodi. If the embryos are disconnected from this genetic code for too long, it may incur in defects in their growth, maybe even death."

Regretting it immediately, Dageer thought of 99, the poor clone. He guessed that was what General Shaak Ti meant by 'defects'. It bothered him to hear she talk about how clones were born, because it was a grim reminder that they weren't normal, but he understood that, if he wanted to give himself and his brothers a normal life, he couldn't let the seppies touch the samples.

"The samples are in the east, south, and west side of Tipoca City. Me and Shaak Ti will defend the east, from where their main attack will come. Commander Broodi, your squad will be responsible for the south, and Dageer, Hell Squad take the west."

"Understood, general."

"Yes, sir."

"Good. Cody, Red, you will be responsible for the rest of our defenses. Hold for as long as you can. We have to give Anakin time to push back their fleet. Dageer, Broodi, you can't leave your positions, no matter what. Kamino won't be lost, and reinforcements are already on the way. The Separatist only want to damage us, not conquer the planet. However, if they get their hands on those samples, they can, and will, kill the entire Clone Army. No matter how the battle goes, you stay put."

Dageer and Broodi exchanged glances, and nodded, their faces serious. General Kenobi couldn't be more clear, and they understood perfectly that they were the last line of defense, not only for this battle, but for all their brothers throughout the galaxy.

"So, I believe we are finished here. To your positions, and may the Force be with you."

I had a sudden moment of inspiration, and decided to write it down.
I am not doing this to became an author and I might stop at any time.
Anyway I am very grateful to anyone who reads and gives his or her support. Also, I do accept suggestions.

PS: this is a Star Wars fiction
PS2: There will be no harem or romance whatsoever, essentially because it would be too different from the lore, and also because I don't like it very much.
PS3: The protagonist won't have any Force powers.
PS4: The first chapters are small, but it gets bigger as the novel go on. As such, the first chapters are in a process of revision to make them more adequate to the rest of the novel. However, the novel doesn't stop because of this.

About the story now. 

Clone trooper CT-4063 is a fresh and shiny trooper directly from the clone facilities in Kamino. 
He is also one of the thousands of clones that take part on the first battle of the Clone Wars.
Go with him as he carves his path to the high comand.

As I apologized to the maverick Jedi Master I began to make my way to where Master Yoda was located according to memory of his teaching schedule when I was a youngling, upon approaching the younglings training area I quietly waited as Master Yoda conducted his class from start to finish it was quiet nostalgic for me to see  the next generation of younglings learning the same thing ms I had at their age. Once the class was over and the younglings had been dismissed from class I approached the aging Jedi Master and announced my self by saying " Master Yoda may I have a moment of your time?" to which the He responded "Of course young one what do you wish to ask." 

I began to feel nervous as I knew that what I would be asking for was huge and getting turned down would be all to easy but then again I had steeled myself for without risk there can be no reward so I asked my question " Master Yoda I would like to ask you if you'd be willing to have me as your apprentice and teach me the ways of the Force."

The Jedi Master was a bit surprised at the younglings request though it shouldn't have surprised him many padawan wanted him as their master but never had taken the direct approach and asked him since this young apprentice had the courage to ask then why not the Jedi master thought to himself and so he answered the young padawan " Hmm how very bold of you young one, yes I will be your master but be warned your lessons will not be easy."

I was surprised that Master Yoda would agree to my request but I knew that just because he agreed and like he said what ever he taught would not be easy, before the Jedi Master could leave I asked him " Master what will be my first lesson?" to which Yoda responded " Go to the blade master and begin your lightsaber specialization from there come back and I will teach you more about the force."

After Master Yoda left I followed his instruction and went towards the blade masters room and found the blade master practicing a lightsaber form so that gave me some time to think on what forms I should learn whether I should be offensive or defensive then I remembered what happend to Qui-Gon in his duel with Maul on Naboo so I decided to take the high road and decided that learning forms 2,3 and 7 would be my best bet so when the instructor was done with his practice I approached and asked for a moment of his time to which he said " What can I do for you young man?" I asked him if he could teach me forms 2 and 3 first  since I knew asking to learn form 7 at my current age would raise questions so I decided to learn more of the classic forms first, especially since I would be there for the start of the Clone Wars but also so I would be prepared if I ever ran across Count Dooku while I was on the battlefield, while I was deep in my thoughts the battle master began explaining to me the first parts of form 2 which immediately grabbed my attention and I followed his movements with my lightsaber  as well as the footwork this type of training goes on for about an hour and the same for form 3 though for me personally form 3 is much harder since the forms are longer and the blade movements are tighter and more precise than form 2 but I practice nonetheless both styles.

After learning and practicing the basics I go looking for Master Yoda again since he told me to find him after I went and learned from the battle master, as I walk the temple halls once again the system speaks up in my mind ' So you've learned new skills would you like to upgrade your dexterity so you can do more or would you like to take the natural progression route' I respond with 'how about you give me what you think is best and I'll use that also dont you have any missions for me or are you just a way to level up faster?' I ask and  the system whirris up in my mind and begins spitting out data in my head of how to begin my quest in changing certain events and the core focal points of who I need to meet ' I do have a few missions for you young Master the first you need to complete is finding young Obi-Wan Kenobi and making sure that he starts training with you secretly so that he'll be prepared for what's coming also the second mission would be to get your self on Master Yodas and Mace Windus good side so the latter can teach you his version of form 7 get this done and I'll open the force skills list for you so you can get ahead also there will be a penalty if you dont dont perform these missions understand.' As I listened closely to what the system was saying I was shocked to hear at the end of it that there was a penalty for failure to complete a task so i asked mentally ' and what about all that other data you fed me is their a penalty for not completing those task or no?' the machine answered with a resounding ' yes there are penalties but those are more like side missions which will affect only your ability stats while the main ones will have far more grave consequences also for the first two missions I will help you in achieving your goal so you can see how you must approach the missions I give you for now dont mind the first mission Obi-Wan Kenobi is still in class but Maste Windu is at the training hall go there and wait for my instructions on how to approach him.'

 I do as the system tells me and head for the training hall as I approach I ask the system the one  question I really want to know ' so what exactly can you do and how can you help me progress faster in my training?' to which the machine responds ' when you begin to learn skills in this world you only learn what is presented to you while I on the other hand gain immediate and full knowledge on the subject so an example would be you just learned the basics of Makashi and Soresue yet I know both the entire forms and the combat applications just from the one time you trained it  the same goes for any and all force abilities you learn, just think of me as your tutor on the side is the best way of looking at it now focus on the task at hand and prepare to speak to one of the greatest duelist of this era.' 

Ad the system said those words I entered the training hall and saw one of the most ferocious attacks a lightsaber could produce followed by another blow faster than the eye could see it was like being in a room with a maelstrom of storm that would not die down anytime soon and then suddenly the storm was gone and the purple blade that produced it had vanished as well there in the middle of the room stood a dark man whose fame in the order was second only to my master alone and the current leader of the Jedi High Council, Jedi Master Mace Windu, after he was done performing his lightsaber sequences I cautiously approached him and announced my self " Master Windu my name is Loren Paulus and I just saw your practice what style is that master." Master Windu looked at me and answered " Its my own personal style based off of form seven  do you want to learn it young one?"  to which I responded " of course Master Windu."

A person from Earth who died but just before being struck by a bullet from a drive by this individual was enjoying their favorite past time and that was writing Star Wars Fan-fics and so when their soul entered what should have been permanent  eternity they immediately found out that they'd done enough right in their previous life that upon death their soul would be transported to their favorite Universe with a system that would help them grow and become stronger as well as being born right before the rise of the empire and the destruction of the Jedi
