Ugh... why do I have a hangover? I dont drink often but damn... I must have gone nuts last night. My head is still ringing. 

Someone opens the door to my room. AH!! Its the girl who failed in cosplaying Tifa! You cant cosplay someone with a bombshell body like Tifa when you are as flat as a tar mat. Thats in poor taste. I remember her smacking me silly though... 

Tifa Cosplayer: Good. I didnt kill you. I thought my hits made you dumb...er. Who tries to cast Tri-Dark Thundaga with such low mana levels? Do you even have the affinities for such a powerful spell? Such a kid. Trying to use grown up magic. Ha, maybe in 50 years if your lucky. ... Whats with the face kid? You look as if you ate something nasty. 

Slate: Can you please change. You dont have the ...  "Assets" to pull off such cosplay. Plus who are you? 

Flat Lady: YOU LITTLE TWERP! I AM THE GREATEST NINJA AND THIEF OF ALL TIME YUFFIE AND DID YOU CALL ME FLAT AGAIN? WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?! MAYBE YOU NEED ANOTHER SLAP!!

Slate: First, Rikku is the best theif ever. Second, I am Slate. As in a Clean Slate. I am starting over. I can hardly believe im in the world that all Final Fantasy games came from. I guess those dreams wernt dreams after all... Hey "Greatest Ninja of all Time"... where in Zero am I?

Yuffie: Why are you making pinching moves with your hands when you say greatest ninja? 

Slate: "No Reason"

Yuffie: You did it again... You are in Altissia in the 15th Realm of Zero. I was asked to wait till you woke up again as punishment for slapping you twice. Ill go get the King and Queen. Get changed... their are some clothes in the drawers by the window. Make yourself presentable.

Yuffie walks out of the room and leaves me alone.

Altissia... wasnt that a city in FF15? The one with water everywhere? I get up off my bed only to realize... my feet dont reach the floor...


Slate: What the hell? Are these beds made for giants? 

As I get up to walk to the drawers... I pass a fully opened door and freeze. Who the flying hell is THAT? Ive never seen a Final Fantasy character that looks like that. A kid with Fox ears, white and gold hair with a healthy tan, dark blue eyes with what looks like electricity in them and a white tail ... with a pink ribbon on it?That just looks wrong but oh well... to each their own. I raise my hand to wave only to see the figure copying my movement. I open my mouth and say hi. 

???: Thats a mirror you dummie. 

DAFUK? Who said that?!

Slate: Who said that? Show yourself!! I know Kung-Fu... kinda

The closet doors slam open and reveal the little Lunafreya from before. Was she just watching me sleep while hiding in my closet? Creepy AF.

Slate: The Lunafreya lookalike! Why are you in my closet... watching me sleep? Who is the kid with the ribbon on his tail?

Ink: MY NAME IS INK FLEURET CAELUM! THE FUTURE QUEEN AND FAVOURITE DAUGHTER TO MOMMA AND FATHER!! The kid with the pretty pink ribbon is YOU. How dont you know your own reflection? 

Slate: Wah? No way! 

Ink: Yes peasant. You are talking to-

Slate: They changed my race snd age without asking my opinion?! Lets see how I look!

He is ignoring me. He is checking his reflection in the mirror almost like its his first time. How can he be so surprised by his face? Did he get prettier as he slept? ... He must teach me how to get prettier as I sleep. Maybe I can grow a tail too...

Ink: So Slate. I will allow you to teach me how to get prettier and grow a tail on my sleep. You are welcome. 

Slate: 🤨  ... What on gods green earth are you smoking? I am handsome not pretty.... how can I teach you to grow a tail? I dont have one. 

Ink: Oh yea? 

I swiftly use spark on Slates tail. His yell is kinda girly. 

Ink: See, you have a tail. ... OH GOD!! I HURT YOUR FLUFFY TAIL!! I AM SO SORRY! CURAGAAAA ugh...

She passed out. Umm lets call for help. But first... RIBBON REMOVED!! 

Slate: Ahh much better. 

???: Oh? You see my daughter unconscious on the floor for trying to heal you and you say "Much better"?!

My hair stands up on its ends. The foreign appendage that was just released from its ribbon bondage stands up too. I slowly turn around and see the older Noctis in my doorway with his royal arms circling him. 

Slate: Uhh... Yo?

Noctis: ...

Slate: ...

Noctis: Sleepaga

Oh come on! Not again!!

I wake up tied and gagged to a chair. I see Yuffie and Noctis looking at me with grins on their faces. I hear someone tie something behind me. I then see Ink walk her father and join him with her arms crossed. A grin grows on her face as she pulls out a mirror that reflects my new tail. It has been restrained by an even pinker ribbon. 

Pure. Evil 

A door behind me opens and I hear a few foot steps. One sounds like high heals. Lets play my part as a captive. Right before I let lose the waterworks... My bonds and gag come undone. I get up and look at my saviors... only to see each final fantasy nerds wet dream.

Everyone: How?

Slate: I am blessed by the gods. I cant explain without angering all 8 of them at once. 

Lunafreya: Then forget we asked. We actually came to give you your identification Materium. It will melt into your palm and record your progress and kills. You will be able to hunt and gather materials easier with one.

Slate: No thank you. I do not want an unfair advantage over normal people. I want to work from the bottom till the apex. 

Ink: But tail boy... everyone has one. Even the kids in schools get one for free on their first days. Mr.Cid made it. Mine is Pink. Lookie!

Ink claps her hands and a glowing pink light shines from her palms. She then opens her hands slowly and I can see hunderds of little dots in a pail ball. Only a few are connected with a silver line. She then claps again and the light show vanished.

Lunafreya: Good job honey. As you can see Slate, Identification Materium is used to record your progress. It is nothing more then a map of your skills and a storage for your spoils from battles. It also acts as a wallet. It is a handy tool for keeping yourself in check. 

Slate: It has no other purpose then to keep progress and loot storage? No hidden functions like tracking or surveillance? 

Lunafreya: That is partly untrue. There are Tracking and Surveillance functions... but only for young children. The only ones able to access such functions are the parents or guardians of the child. You are except these functions due to your status a a summoned champion of the gods. You can always discard the Materium if you choose to...Would you like one?

I was born into my original world fighting for my life from the beginning. I continued fighting but i finally lost the battle at 25. Most of my life i spent in a hospital room so almost all my free time was spent playing games or reading. 

My favorite games were the Final Fantasys. 

My life got more intriguing when I was told by The FF God Bahamut that I was to be reborn in the world where every FF game takes its inspirations from. The Uni-Inverse Realm of Fantasy Zero. Before Being Reborn though... I had a few Gifts from the different gods. 

This is where I will Thrive.

I dont own ANY FF characters that might show up. They belong to Square Enix and the other Various Devlopers.

" When that guy invited me in their tribe I was really elated, I could finally talk with the aboriginals in this planet!

God? Creator? Punishment? What was that? What is this? I dont understand...they are worshipping something that they weren't able to interact or even seen a glimpse of...

As the mythical child blended with the tribe, the mythical child got bored with the ways and beliefs of the tribe, So the child decided to tell them stories, unbelievable stories.

But these stories were accepted as child's fantasy by the elders. But it did not took long. After 30 years the child remain as he is, Still brimming with enthusiasm and was still giving stories.

As the years went by, new generations came up, the elders accepted the child's stories as a knowledge given by the heavens. They made the child as their greatest treasure as their intelligence. They gave him offerings, food and even entertain him to his heart's content.


But no one knew about the two youths that are listening were having the greatest ambition a human has.

As the time went by,

Now as my mind is running with this imagination,

Esterorth was a world that was once filled with the fires of war when humans fought against other humans. That period of time was called the age of mercenaries. The mercenaries of that age were powerful individuals that fought for money and glory. Among those were a few truly invincible individuals the SS rank mercs. 

In an age that were filled with tanks, jets, guns, and other powerful weapons, the SS rank mercs, were beings that decided how powerful a country was. If you had an SS rank merc in your country you would be able to win a war without fighting if faced against another country who had none. 

Usually, there would be one SS rank merc in a generation, most of the time there were none. But at the last stages of the age of Mercenaries, three SS rank mercs were alive at the same time. These three represented the most powerful nations of the time, the Granado Empire, Berdonia, and the Southern Union. 

Arthur Glory the SS rank merc of the Southern Union. He was the oldest living merc at the time. He gained his rank of SS with nothing but his bare hands. He gained the SS rank at the age of fifty and kept it until the day he died in battle. He fell in the war against the Granado Empire at the age of a hundred and seventy years old. 

Rika Saunter the SS rank merc of the Granado Empire. She is said to be the most powerful human to have ever existed. She was a being that grew stronger by merely existing. She didn't need to train since she was already powerful since birth. She was the only SS rank merc to have survived the change. 

The final SS rank merc was from Berdonia. He is the one regarded by many as the greatest mercenary to have ever lived, Lyner Resteti. He who tried to find a way to die a glorious death was a man that was able to save many. His final battle was with Rika Saunter, those who witnessed that fight knew that he was the victor, but as the battle was near its end Lyner used his life to save an innocent child.

Even in the end, he embodied the very ideal that mercs were supposed to follow, a good merc gives as much as he's paid. Lyner who was paid to protect Berdonia protected it and its citizens until his dying breath.

Sixteen years have passed since the end of the age of Mercenaries, now it was a new age called by many as the age of Hunters. After the change that was caused by a madman, the modern world turned into a fantasy world. It was now a world filled with monsters that nearly wiped out humanity. 

In this world, humans weren't as helpless as one might think against the monsters. As the world changed so did the humans. 

In this new world, there were four categories of humans. The first type were the ability users, these people had gained a one of a kind ability and even though they can only use this one ability, compared to the other types of humans they are the top in terms of pure firepower. 

The second type were the magic users. These people have gained the ability to control a new form of power within the human body, which scientists called terrenam potestatem, but the masses called it mana. Unlike the ability users, the magic users could use a wider array of skills. Though their power was lacking, they made up for it in versatility. 

The third type were called the hybrids. These people were very rare, and they possessed both the qualities of the ability users and magic users. Among the four types, they are considered to have the greatest basic advantages. 

The fourth and last type were called the unchanged. These were the people who were unfortunate enough to gain no ability. They remained almost the same as the humans before. The only difference was that they were slightly stronger than the old humans. Old humans are what the new generation calls the humans before the change.

In this new world, there were no longer any mercenaries as the Mercenary System has been abolished. The one that replaced them were the so-called Hunters. Unlike Mercenaries, Hunters were supported greatly by the government, and they had a stable income. They also function as the military, and they were also considered one of the top jobs everyone wanted to have. The Police force was the only other job that could match up to the hype of the Hunter job. 

Seeing as these were the only two jobs that would allow a frequent use of one's abilities, many young people have these two jobs as their dream jobs. Of course, those of the older generation that weren't soldiers or mercenaries, but had experienced the previous world which was full of war, these people weren't really eager in doing jobs that could get them killed.

Seeing as Hunters and Police officers needed to be trained using the new abilities of humanity, a new type of school was created for people who want to strive for this career path. Once one finishes grade school and middle school, the child is given a choice to continue to go to a normal school, or a specialized school for Hunters and Police Officers.

In this world that became a fantasy our story begins.

Eight years after the end of the original Adopted Soldier, a boy by the name of Sigmund Resteti gained a dream to become the strongest. 

As the son of a hero, he's been compared to his father his entire life. But due to his unique circumstance, he was looked down upon by others. 

Since, in this new world, there were four categories of humans. The ability users, the magic users, the hybrids, and the unchanged.

There were also old humans which were what the new generation calls the humans before the change. 

Not being part of any of the four categories, Sigmund was the last remaining old human. Follow him on his journey to prove himself the strongest.

The dining room inside the camp house was completely silent. The red tablet, made of unknown materials, was placed on the table.
This tablet was far too precious, and in ordinary times, it would be the object of interest for everyone.
But now, everyone in the room was not focusing on the tablet. Instead, their eyes were locked on Zed. 
They tried to study him; understand him.
When Carmen found the tablet in spatial debris cave, he was sure he would be greatly rewarded once he returned back to his home. 
Every faction within the World Government and even other organizations have dedicated a lot of resources on finding clues of the ancient civilizations.
It has been over two centuries since the meteorites crashed on Earth, but most of them still have been outside the reach of humans. But humans were sure, the only way to gain a chance of acquiring the resources and knowledge in those meteorites was by knowing more about Celestial Elysian Plane from other sources.
The tablets and other such pieces served that function. This was why Carmen was so proud of his accomplishment.
Of course, he knew decoding the secrets of the tablet was easier said than done. But he was not worried.
House of Vazquez was a part of World Government. Naturally, they had access to lots of high-tech devices that the elders in the family were allowed to use. 
These devices could act as a translator and help them understand the meanings of the contradictory, ever-changing patterns on the tablet. If the devices failed, there were linguist experts who have dedicated their lives to studying various languages and patterns of Celestial Elysian Plane.
Of course, the linguist experts didn't understand every language; they were focused on a particular language depending on its existence in the meteorite of interest. 
Carmen reasoned while he might not be able to benefit from the tablet in the core region, the family would still greatly benefit. This, in turn, would improve his standing among the younger generation.
In the end, everything depended on the content of the tablet. Something that could be only known later on.
Yet, barely a minute ago, Zed read what was engraved on the tablet.
The words he spoke continuously repeated in Carmen's mind.
"In the midst of great disaster, you shall find what you have sought from ages past.
"In the middle of death, you shall discover what binds the living to...
"Life begins from death... 
"Flames of nirvana shall mold what has long ceased to exist, to bring the era of..."
 Not only Carmen, but even others were in similar condition.
Aileen observed Zed's face but noticed nothing.
When he spoke first, she thought he might be lying and speaking gibberish to sound profound, but when he continued, all her suspicions were washed away.
This was not due to his honest and sincere actions from before, but rather, it was due to the way the tablet acted!
As soon as he continued, the runes and patterns on the tablet flashed with a warm radiance. The radiance was like the love of a mother; pure and untainted. 
It brought them close to enlightenment that they could not describe. It was an ethereal feeling that closed them to some wordly principle. 
This was more than enough for them to know he understood the engravings!
Carmen gulped a mouthful of saliva. Earlier, he has eyed Zed with disdain when he retrieved the tablet. He wanted to show off in front of Sophia and prove that Zed didn't deserve her interest.
But now, he realised he has only made a joke of himself. He was no better than a rookie trying to showcase his meager skills in front of an expert!
The result would be only humiliation.
Thankfully, everyone was too shocked to laugh at Carmen.
Aileen was lost in thoughts. 
"Zed must be 21 or 22 and yet he understands such complex engravings?!"
She could imagine how elders from Neville Family would react if she told them about Zed. They would laugh and ask if she thinks they are stupid to believe this nonsense.
Specialists with decades of experience would have difficulty in understanding runes of even one language, and yet, a kid who has only existed from two decades perfectly translate them?
This was completely impossible. Something no would dare believe.
"The elders of Neville Family said Celestial Elysian Plane was boundless and majestic. That plane has everything... fantasy, technological advancement, magic... everything that could be imagined by humans.
"But in the end, magic was not really magic and the same goes for fantasy. What people could not fathom or understand, they consider it as paranormal. In truth, everything could be explained by science.
"The same goes for this tablet and the radiance of enlightenment... it definitely has some scientistic explanation... just something beyond the scope of human intelligence."
Aileen recalled everything she knew about that alien world. The languages were complex like a labyrinth; irregular and twisting. From a human perspective, they were full of absurdities. This was the actual reason why humans could not decode the secret of languages despite them being in an era of technology. 
Ashlyn glanced at Zed and thought of Kiba. She then recalled the alien serpent (who called itself Immortal Devourer Serpent) and its conflict with Kiba. 
Ashlyn concluded something after which she closed her eyes. 
On the host chair, Sophia swept her eyes from the tablet to Zed.
"You have an interest in understanding alien languages?" Sophia asked.
The circular ripple patterns and runes on the tablet were no better than a spiral. It only made her eyes heavy but Zed could understand them without any efforts. 
She believed this was only possible when Zed has an extraordinary interest in them. Interest could give to determination and a desire to achieve success. 
"Not really," Zed answered. "To be honest, I have no interest."
His voice carried the same politeness and warmth as before, with no signs of arrogance. It was like he didn't consider translating alien patterns as anything worth mentioning.
"What?" Aileen and Sophia looked at him with curious expressions.
Why would he learn alien languages if he has no interest? 
"Let's say, I had a very good motivation to learn," Zed offered additional details.
"Motivation?" Carmen was doubtful of his explanation. 
As far as he was concerned, no sane human could ever have any motivation to torture themselves in understanding headache-inducing alien languages!
"Well, the motivation I had could push any living being to achieve the impossible," Zed explained briefly. "Learning a language is nothing."
Everyone else was confused by his explanation. 
"Just what type of motivation can push someone to achieve the impossible?" Carmen wondered in his heart. 
The greatest he pushed himself was for the favor of a woman. But he knew Zed didn't mean lust otherwise he wouldn't have said any living being.
Zed didn't offer any further explanation despite the curious eyes locked on him. 
The greatest motivation any living being could ever have is the innate desire to survive!
To live for another moment!
To push back the darkness of death even if it is just for a second!
Regardless of species, the despair and fear of death can push a living organism to do the impossible. 
It was the greatest motivation that could be only grasped by those who have come close to death!
Years ago, this motivation came in Zed's life in the form of Castor Damon and BSE79 meteorite...
Aileen concluded Zed didn't want to disclose what type of motivation he meant. She suppressed her curiosity and asked, "Is there anything more on the tablet?"

I have read and continue to read many eastern fantasy webnovels. They sparked my interest ever since I watched a chinese drama and heard that it was a book adaptation. I found the translation, read it and went on a journey that brought me to discover eastern fantasy webnovels. I jumped in willingly and haven't looked back yet. (Yup, I've basically given up on other genres right now.
So why this book then?

Reason number 1:
Well, i just got tired of reading the same thing all over again. Granted, I get surprised now and again by a writer, but honestly most of the main characters we see are just in it for… what exactly? I guess revenge, the ladies and let's not forget the ego trips.
Hmpf!
But it gets tiring after after the nth mc constantly at odds, constantly fighting with the people and the world around them.

I've dropped several books because of the constant fighting (I understand the need to raise the stakes but please give my poor old heart a rest). Catch my breath before the next canon fodder appears to be the mc's next stepping stone to becoming the world's greatest fighter). Don't even get me started on the horrible sex scenes; products of deluded minds (is romance dead? Woo a girl a bit before jumping her, will ya?)

Reason number 2:
I have read web novels with female protagonists, but apart from only one exception, female protagonists are limited to the clan or the city. Most of these books have to do with evil and annoying stepmothers and even more evil and annoying flower snake step sisters. I always ended up wondering if the kind of a story with a female protagonist in a sect could work? Is that even possible? So i took up the challenge. Only time will tell how it pans out. It might be exactly what i envisioned or transform into something else. 

I also wanted a more or less wholesome story that didn't make me break into hives because it was chock full of someone's outlandish sexual fantasies or fanservice.

If people weren't writing what I wanted to, I had to do it myself. I am by no means an accomplished writer, but I am up to the task.

Cultivating Karma came into existence after almost a year of dreaming and planning. It follows our heroine, Bai li yue, who through a series of events transmigrates into the thousand aurora world. As for the appearance of the Fantasy Serum and Red Night's Blood, because they were produced in small batches, at first, they hadn't created much of an impact. However, once these two serums could be produced in large quantities, the enormous benefits that they would bring, as well as the attention that they would get, would be terrifying!
So, as of now, since the Fantasy Serum and the Red Night's Blood had yet not been popularized, it was a great opportunity to enter the market. Even without mastering the two serums completely, as long as the profits could be shared to a certain extent, they would still be able to gain a considerable amount of profits in the future.
Of course, there were also people who were more careful and wanted to take further precautions before jumping into such a deal. After all, once the Fantasy Serum and the Red Night's Blood were mass produced, it was likely that the entire pharmaceutical industry would be reorganized and shaken up.
At that time, the emergence of every epoch-making item would have a huge impact on the original market, which would lead to the collapse and rise of many industries. As such, it was likely that many of the major forces on the scene would go bankrupt overnight.
At the present time, Steve did not have the rights and power to customize any rules, so he couldn't afford to provoke the powerful forces. Hence, it was not easy for him to get many benefits yet.
However, since he now had several cards up his sleeves and was qualified to sit at the negotiating table, instead of being treated as a huge piece of cake, waiting to be eaten by a group of crocodiles, he did have some power to stand up for himself.
If someone wants to take the opportunity to think of me like a lamb, they should be careful to not chip their teeth in the process! Steve thought coldly, as none of the crocodiles in front of him were good people.
As President Sidney's speech continued, they entered the interactive segment, where he began to answer people's questions. Just then, Master Gino, who had been silent and sitting next to Steve whispered to Steve, "Mr. Clown, I don't know if it's convenient for you right now, but I have something important to talk to you about."
"It's inconvenient at the moment, and I don't want to talk about it," Steve said with a smile.
Master Gino's face changed instantly, as Steve's reply was totally unexpected. He then said politely, "Mr. Clown, we sincerely want to collaborate with you."
"I'm sorry, but I don't want to collaborate with any forces for the time being," Steve said, rejecting him straightaway.
Master Gino's expression was glum, as Steve had rejected him without even listening to what he had to offer for the collaboration.
"Mr. Clown, would you like to hear our terms of collaboration first? I'm sure that you'll be satisfied with them." Not caring if Steve minded, Master Gino continued to inform him, "The Fantasy Serum and Red Night's Blood that you are cultivating now are being directly handed over to the Masa Group. However, the Masa Group only has influence over Stanlos Base Camp."
He then added, "But we, the Wyatt Group, are different, as the Wyatt Pharmaceutical Group is located all over Blue Star. As long as you give us the rights, we can extend the influence of the two serums to the entire Blue Star region!"
He smiled. "When that happens, all humans will know about the Fantasy Serum and the Red Night's Blood, and your reputation will spread throughout the entire human race!"
Any normal pharmacist would be tempted upon hearing these words, as every pharmacist wants to create a serum that could affect all people and the world's future, thus becoming a famous pharmacist who would be known for generations. Even for some pharmacists who like to be low-key and don't like to be in the limelight, their passion for pharmaceutics was the same, and they all wanted to cultivate serums that had a great influence on the world.
Steve had achieved this, as he had created an epoch-making serum. But, at the moment, his fame and influence were not enough to have much of an impact on the world. But, if he were to collaborate with Wyatt Pharmaceutical Group, all of that would change.
"What are the practical benefits of collaborating with you?" Steve asked, then chuckled. 'I'm already pretty famous, so what's the advantage of being even more famous? Besides, you would probably get more benefits from Wyatt Pharmaceutical Group if I were to hand over the rights to you."
"Fame is only part of it. As long as you are willing to collaborate with us, we at Wyatt Pharmaceutical Group will provide you with the greatest sponsorship and resources, so that you can develop more serums," Master Gino said solemnly.
He then added, "We can also provide any needs that you have. We can even provide you with a team of masters to help you so that you can fully devote yourself to your pharmaceutical research."
A master level team! Even Steve couldn't help but be tempted upon hearing this stellar condition.
"Wow! As these are such generous terms, you'll definitely want more from me, right?" Steve asked.
He was not blinded by the enormous benefits, as he knew that there must be some hidden agenda or strings attached to the sweet deal. After all, there was no free lunch in this world, so he figured that the more Wyatt Pharmaceutical Group provided, the more they would want in return!
"Mr. Clown is a smart man indeed. I'll just get straight to the point, then," Master Gino said. "You're right. We can provide you with unimaginable benefits, but at the same time, we hope that the serums developed by Mr. Clown in the future, including the Fantasy Serums and the Sub-atomic Serums, will be exclusively branded by Wyatt Pharmaceutical Group, with us having the handling rights. We will then divide the net profits with you 50/50."

Jared and Azaire sat there in a stunned silence but Titania was silent and unbothered as if she had already expected this news. And indeed as the "Honorary" Fairy King she was privy to a lot of different information that others were not. In truth if Jared had already started his eventual ascension to the crown then he too would know some of these things only those at the top of the world were privy too. 

The other two were too shocked to notice her silence and were busy spinning their head around the comparison to the myth they were just told and the myth that currently sat before them but after a second Azaire thought that this was probably natural for someone as amazing as his master while Jared was the only one left that stared at the mysterious red-headed woman before him with a near incomprehensible look.

Master Talya avoided their gazes and sat back and looked away as if unwilling to speak anymore on the subject. Luckily it seemed as if Gustavo was there to save her from elaborating as he swiftly took over the conversation. 

"I also happen to be the current keeper of the Lost Desert. As some of you may have noticed there is more then meets the eye to this pretty land of ours...."

Gustavo's eye's scanned lazily over those on the other side of the table giving no direct clue on to who he referred but for some reason Azaire was sure he was at least one of the  people being singled out. Brushing it off Azaire paid closer attention to the wrym as he continued speaking. 

"Those who walk into these shifting sands that seems impossible to see through will often find they already died without even realizing their mind had already led them to their doom. This land is home to the Greater Force of illusion and only those with overwhelming power or a similar will or mental strength can think to wonder in this forest unabated. Often times if the illusions do not break the minds of those who enter the native beasts hidden with the assistance of whatever fantasy world the desert has captured one in will be more then enough to spill one's blood...."

As Azaire listened he couldn't help but think of the rhinestone rhinoceros he had fought not too long ago and suddenly his ability to fight the creature as far as he did made much more sense to him. Animal often adapted to their surroundings naturally and used the resources and advantages of it not only in their way of hunting but in their everyday life as well. That rhino must have been accustomed to it's opponents being confused and disoriented so it lacked some of the battle sense and ferocity other of it's kind might have in favor of going with the flow of whatever illusion the jungle might have conjured for it. 

Gustavo continued the conversation explaining how the various forbidden lands cultivated and retained their power in various ways and how certain things needed to be done and ceremonies held to ensure they would remain powerful enough to resist the intrusion of outsiders. 

For example, those killed in the four forbidden land often contributed part of their life force and energy to the land as well as being tended by the keepers and caretakers in charge of them in various ways even including gardening, pruning, hunting, and harvesting. But the greatest power the lands received and the necessity for their continued survival were the various ceremonies of each land that all had strict rules for each event. Some were like human festivals, some were similar to the witches harvests and festivals, an some were even like competitions....

"Which brings us back around to our current predicament.....the Lost Desert is currently preparing for the Grand Illusion Tournament and Talya's very presence disturbs the energy of the desert. Unchecked it would destroy the deserts attempt to gather the energy it requires to survive and that's not including the 'Very' harmful spell she's been keeping up."

Gustavo then looked toward Titania with a complicated expression and a sigh before continuing. 

"Besides that another important rule and coincidentally an exception to the normal rules of the deserts is that anyone who cultivates or is associated with and type of illusion path or force they are welcome in the desert but once they enter they cannot leave until the Tournament is over." 

"Likewise they must participate in the tournament or except their death of they wish to resist this. The only way not to beholden to these rules is to not enter the Lost Desert within the year of the tournament."

Titania's face slowly darkened with each word and Azaire tried to recall the little he read about fairies that might warrant her distress, but fairies were notoriously secretive and misleading so he wasn't sure.

Sensing his confusion Titania sighed and explained .

"The life energy fairies cultivate is called Ether...."

Azaire nodded as she looked at him to ensure he was following. This was something he knew already so he was fine for now.

"Do you know what Ether is?"

Azaire was taken aback by the question. He realized that he didn't quite know what the life energies of the fairies or giants did or their purpose.

Titania simply nodded as if that already expected before she continued:

"Ether in the simplest explanation is a type of illusion power. In a more complicated sense it is actually the most powerful mind based life energy and like it's namesake it gives fairies their near ethereal qualities and abilities. 

Fairies are not only masters of mystery and illusions we can see through most illusions with strong enough ether. Our greatest strength however is our ability to bind and seal. Ether at it's core is a power that can bind fantasy to reality and make it true. 

It can bind illusions to fact and make them indistinguishable from reality. They say the greatest form of illusion is Real Illusions or illusions that become reality and fairies are the most in tune with creating this phenomenon since illusions and trickery and mystery are in our very blood." 

As she explained for the first time that Azaire had seen Titania showcased her power as she waved her hand and translucent images of various flowers in colors of different metals and minerals began to float around her as a steel vine slowly snaked out from one flower and began playing connect the dots with the others until it connected to the last flower by the end of her speech and shattered in a surprisingly glamorous collection of sparkling light.

Azaire had wonder and awe in his eyes and even Jared gave an approving grunt at the display.

Titania allowed herself a small blush of pleasure, glad that even if she had gotten dragged into something she didn't care to do she could at least show off a bit for her new fri...uh....acquaintances. Yeah. Her new acquaintances!

While she silently mulled over her conflicted emotions Gustavo carried on with the conversation.

"I know you can be stubborn Tally and you don't like to be told what to do but you KNOW how important this tournament is and what interrupting it could do to the desert. I'm not asking you to walk into handcuffs and stay in the dungeon till it's all over but PLEASE take some time out of your journey and stay as Guests....and competitors....just until the tournament has passed and the grand illusion games are complete?"

Everyone turned to Master Talya expectantly from the sand wyrms to her own charges as they waited for her judgement on their next course of actions. Would there be some type of compromise to their next course of action or would there be a fight? How would this play out. 

Talya could feel a migraine coming on as she considered things carefully. With a heavy sigh she finally decided on what the best course of action would be...

Growing up is already hard enough under normal circumstances. How much harder can it be in a world full of immortals? Very. All Azaire ever wanted was to play with the animals who always seemed more humane to him then any of the Sentient races but when a past he knew nothing of comes back to haunt him he’ll have to pull together with family, friends, and loved ones and finally face the cruel world around him. It may sound difficult but with a particularly hot man or two by his side to help keep him sane what’s the worst this world can throw at him?

I’ll update and work on this when I can until I get a good gist of how to fit this into my daily schedule.
