"The game that was created by Class 4 of the second grade was a game called [Nonexistent Person]. The rules of the game were straightforward, select a person from the class and ignore him completely. Treat him like an invisible man and pay no attention to whatever he did. In short, treat him like a nonexistent person."
The winter was over, and the spring weather was nice and cool. Even though it was close to dawn, the temperature at night was still freezing.
After listening to what Aokiji just said, a sudden chill came over them as they felt a strong sense of absurdity. It was not because they were frightened, it was because they did not expect that the vast fire incident was all because of a game.
They didn't really understand the details of the incident. They knew that the protagonists of the event were all the students from the fourth class of the second grade, and a transfer student, Ito Shunji.
Indeed. At that time, the students intended to choose the person by drawing lots after they came up with the game.
However, nobody wanted to be the [Nonexistent Person]. So someone suggested that since all of them already knew about the game, it would defeat the purpose of the game, even if they succeeded in choosing someone to be the [Nonexistent Person].
The reason was that the chosen person would have known about this game and that everybody else was just acting. If it were the case, the game would be meaningless and therefore, no fun.
As a result, the students of Class 4 of the second grade racked their brains to think of a way to optimize the game.
Just when they almost wanted to give up, the teacher announced that a student would transfer to their school in a few days.
The students from Class 4 of the second grade were very excited. They had finally found the most suitable person to be the [Nonexistent Person]!
And this was the initial cause of the fire incident in Akichi High School.
"Aokiji, how could we not know about this incident?!" Masato Yamazaki freaked out upon hearing it, but he was not done talking, "You didn't even inform us before coming here."
The others nodded along. Although they did know a little regarding the incident, they were definitely not as well informed as Aokiji.
Aokiji smiled, "I'm telling you guys right now for the sake of intensifying the atmosphere. Wouldn't it be very boring if you knew about it earlier?"
Even though they came to Akichi High School without preparation, Aokiji had already inquired into the incident, mainly to enhance the atmosphere while exploring the high school.
Based on what he could see, it was beneficial.
"But wouldn't the teacher step in?" Chiba Shiori suddenly opened her mouth. She looked at Aokiji and asked, "Normally, when a student transfers to another school, he would have to make a self-introduction… Don't tell me, the game had already started that time?"
Even if the game started and all his classmates treated Ito Shunji as the [Nonexistent Person], he could still talk to the teachers and students from other classes.
If this happened, Class 4 of the second grade would not be able to pull off the game.
Kimura Kazuki glanced at Shiori and nodded. This story was indeed full of flaws from his point of view. Maybe it was just like what Aokiji said, it was only to enhance the atmosphere.
"It was said that even the teachers participated in the game," Aokiji did not ignore Shiori's question and replied directly. "As for the students from other classes, Class 4 of the second grade had told them in advance. The game that was only supposed to be played amongst themselves eventually became a game that was played by the whole school."
Aokiji noticed the doubt on Shiori's face and smiled.
 "At that time, the President of the Student Union of Akichi High School was from Class 4 of the second grade, and he was the biggest delinquent in the school."
"Huh? I thought only those who are good in studies and of excellent moral characters can be the Student Union President?" Suzuki Aichi remarked, "When I was in high school, a senior of that nature held the post of President of the Student Union."
Without waiting for Aokiji to reply, Yasuda Aoi, who was standing next to him, smiled and said, "Aichi, yours was a special case. For the sake of the college entrance examination, the majority of high school students were devoted to learning, both mentally and physically. Along with the addition of club activities, they couldn't serve in the student union."
Aokiji rolled his eyes at Yasuda Aoi, who talked out of turn. He knew that Yasuda wanted to show off in front of Aichi and thus, decided not to say much.
Kazuki nodded quietly, seemingly deep in thought.
One could only do so much. Kazuki could study and hold the positions of the Head of Department of Sword Believers' Club and the President of the Student Union at the same time.
He believed that no one in the school would reject him if he wished to be President.
In spite of that, he did not do so as it would be very tiring. There was a limit to what a man could do, it would be impossible for him to do that.
The person who was serving as the President of the Student Union in Sakura Kyu Academy was one of the members of the Sword Believers' Club, Yanagawa Izumi.
This guy's grades were awful, he did not have the inborn talent for studying. His study plan for the guy was basically useless, which was why Kazuki told him to be the President of the Student Union.
The college entrance examination in Japan was different from those of other countries.
The examination was divided into two sessions. The first session primarily consisted of written exam to examine the capability of mastering knowledge from textbooks. The second session would be either a college interview or a professional assessment, testing one's ability, and also his skill in answering questions.
These two sessions of examination could help in further discovering the students' potentials. They would then enroll the students based on their performance or overall results.
If Yanagawa Izumi fails his written exam, he might still get a chance to further his study, as he was the former President of the Student Union.
"Those female leads in anime, paragons of virtue, serving as the Student Union Presidents and the Head of Department in clubs, bantering flirtatiously with the male lead, are fictitious," Sakai Reiko who was next to him mocked.
Aokiji could not help but smile. The horrifying atmosphere that he rendered just now dissipated after all the interruption.
Contrary to what one might expect, Shiori had been thinking. Unlike Kazuki, she was a real novelist. Even though the sales of her first published work was not very good, at least she had taken the first step to become a novelist.
The editor told her that there were two quick ways to gain popularity.
First, she could write a light novel that was guaranteed to be popular. As long as it was well-liked, manga, cartoon adaptation and popularity would come surging.
Secondly, she could write a non-mainstream light novel, gather some fans first, and make steadfast progress. There was no need to reach for what was beyond her grasp.
Which was why she chose the supernatural genre. And for the sake of writing, today she deliberately came to Akichi High School, a school that was discussed on all paranormal forums and infamous for its supernatural incidents.
"Mr. Nakagawa, how did you know about these?" Shiori realized that she was straightforward and smiled faintly.
"I apologize, I just wanted to know about the incident five years ago as it will help me in my writing."
Aokiji laughed, "There really is nothing to hide. If you investigate thoroughly, you will find out something about the fire incident five years ago. Almost all the students in Class 4, the second grade were taken away. There was actually a sick student who had requested a leave of absence and was resting in the dormitory. He managed to escape death by sheer luck."


Time travelling from the majestic era after the Recuperation of Reiki, he became Kimura Kazuki, a 16-year-old high school student in Japan, one year before the Reiki Recuperation.

I was ten when I had found my first little crush. 

He was the smartest guy in our grade and was hopelessly childish.

I couldn't help but compete with him over everything. 

Exams, quizzes, activities, group projects.

And I failed miserably every time.

Then the whole class found out and I was teased for it. 

I, who at the time was too busy studying, didn't really care and continued to like him freely.

In the next grade, I had confessed to him.

I was rejected.

I expected it of course, but I still liked him so much.

There was even a time I kept crying because of him.

When our grade separated during senior high, he had suddenly confessed to me.

And me, being stupid, accepted his confession.

For the first few months, everything was fine.

But after that was a never ending cycle of fights.

I got sick of it.

So I confronted him and told him how I really felt.

After that we never contacted each other again.

I liked him for six years.

Ten years later I haven't found anyone yet. 

Maybe I still like him.

I'm not sure yet.

I was ten years old when I told myself that I would like to be an author.

I hadn't exactly found my purpose yet.

So I started writing on my phone in the hopes I could improve my writing.

In the midst of high-school I lost my will to write.

I wasn't exactly sure of the cause.

Maybe it was my family.

Or my studies.

Or maybe I had given up on myself.

But halfway through college, I met my professor.

I became fond of her and wanted to be like her.

Before I knew it I started to write again.

Sure it was silly and my writing had much to improve on but...

I felt happy.

And I had found my purpose.

Jiang Shan prefers to be left alone, leaving her with fewer friends than her peers.

After starting senior year, she is determined to spend her days at home to think about her plans for the future.

The strained relationship with her family, her unstable mental health, a complicated relationship with a boy, playing her part in the student council, and studying for the coming entrance exams.

All of this had been managed to be swept up in a storm called Yang Mu.

8th grade year was pretty slow in the beginning. I made the basketball team and I also got into honor band which is pretty hard to do. I also liked this year because I got to try new things and have new classes. One class that wasn't the best was history because there was one girl in that class that didn't like me. Most girls on the basketball team didn't like me for reasons I never figured out. They never passed the ball to me and my coach also didn't like me because I didn't have to pay for any of my basketball fees. My counselor paid for all my fees along with another parent of a basketball teammate. I had fun at all competitions from band and cross country all the way to basketball. Over the year I became really close friends with Kaitlynn and I had my first sleepover with her. We both learned how different we were but also how well we went together. 
  I had some good times during this year going to my first school dance with a group of my sports friends. The last dance I went to was my 8th grade dance and I went with one of my band friends because he asked me to go with him. The dance pretty much was screaming to music and no dancing. Our group of friends just took a bunch of photos together and goofed off in them. 
  After the dance we were planning our graduation and our last days of middle school. We got our year books ready and was writing each other notes people were just all over the place. The band got to go to six flags before we graduated. When I was looking for my dress I wanted to look cute because I was more of a tomboy growing up and it was one of the first times I wanted to look really cute and show off a bit. After I got my dress the next day was the last day of school and all of us were just ready to leave that place as fast as we could. Summer was calling us and all we wanted to do was to go for it. I wanted to sleep in for once because my dad worked I got to school at 6am. So that was the last day to wake up that early for awhile. The bell rang and everyone went running and I went to cross country. After that I took an ice bath at home and went to bed early to be ready for my 8th grade graduation ceremony. For band we played the national anthem and then we went to our seats to get called for our diplomas. After I graduated and got my paper to prove it I wanted to get home and sleep because it was my time for a break which I needed. Summer was a constant reminder that I was getting older and I had to start thinking of what I wanted to do. I was contemplating on which activities and sports I wanted to do during my high school years. Because those were just around the corner.

This is a journal entree type book starting as years then weeks 
So the book starts out fast then goes slower.

Chapter 1: Breakthrough

'Qi Refining Realm'

There are 10 stages of this realm in total, only surpassing these will one break through to another realm.

Qi Refining Realm, Stage 1.

This was the cultivation realm that Zhang Tian broke through after months of hard work and training non-stop.

This realm wasn't considered much in the outside world, but in the low-end city, Xinwei City, he was one of the only hundred people to break through normal human restrictions and achieve a higher existence, unlocking a world full of potential. 

This realm is where cultivators start controlling their innate qi, allowing them to break rocks bigger than themselves with a single punch easily.

Although it was only the Qi Refining Realm, Zhang Tian was thirteen years old at the time, this considering him a genius among geniuses in the cultivation world! He was destined to make a name for himself in his older years!

Zhang Tian, just awakening from cultivation state, looks around this barren room only to find a small bed, a desk, and a set of stone stairs leading underground.

Zhang Tian lived in a shabby wooden shack and didn't want to cause too much trouble for his teacher, so he remained here.

"You've finally broken through the mortal barriers!" a man said, entering his shack.

Zhang Tian hearing this gentle voice, turns around and he sees an old man behind him whose presence seemed amazingly strong.

This old man had a long, white beard, and a cane in his hands, barely managing to stand up. Though he looked frail and weak, this old man had an overbearing cultivation realm of Qi Strengthening Realm, Stage 3! 

The Qi Strengthening Realm is a realm where cultivators further strengthened their innate qi to amazing heights, also enhancing their physical bodies, making it possible for them to push giant trees down with a single finger easily!

There are only 4 cultivators with this realm in this entire city, him having the highest stage.

When Zhang Tian saw this man, he then bowed down and yelled: "Disciple Zhang Tian greets City Lord Wei Lin!"

"Yes." Wei Lin said while waving his hands dismissively, and with a visible smile on his face.

After sizing up the boy and his condition, Wei Lin finally said ecstatically: "I knew it wasn't a waste of time for me to take you in as my disciple! It only took you five months to reach the Qi Refining Realm! You can even be considered a genius in the outside world, it usually takes one a full year just to reach this stage alone!"

Wei Lin finally calmed down after some time went by, and then said with a serious tone: "You're now one of the official cultivators of this city, you should continue to work hard and diligently on your future cultivation! You should even reach the Qi Strengthening Realm within your lifetime if you continue your hard work!"

"Yes!" Zhang Tian yelled.

"Alright, I will take my leave now. you go and train some more! I recommend going to the grassland 39km northeast of the city exit as it rarely has any savage beasts showing up." the old man said smiling and started walking out of the wooden door.

"Yes!" Zhang Tian yelled once again with a huge grin on his face.

After Wei Lin left Zhang Tian's house, Zhang Tian went back to doing his daily activities that he skipped for three months.

'That boy really is a genius only seen once every hundred years! To think he knew nothing about cultivation five months ago.. I only took him in because he was a child of a past friend who was assassinated 10 years ago! Never in my dreams would I have imagined that he would reach such heights in just this time period!' Wei Lin thought to himself and couldn't hold in his excitement.

A month has passed since Song Lin broke through the mortal limits, reaching a realm known as the Qi Refining Realm.

Zhang Tian almost finished training for the night, so when he was done, he decided to go back to his shack which was a good distance away.

As the sun rose and the skies were slowly turning blue, Zhang Tian went back inside of his shabby shack.

Though he could have moved in with Wei Lin, he was raised in this shack by his deceased parents, so he naturally didn't wish to leave this shack behind.

'I'm getting closer to breaking through, I might as well start cultivating now!' Zhang Tian thought.

Zhang Tian then laid 3 low-grade spirit stones on the ground and sat cross-legged, closing his eyes and absorbing the spirit qi contained within these stones, as the spirit qi outside was low.

…

A full month has passed.

Zhang Tian opened his eyes for the first time in a month and felt power surging through his veins and spiritual core, feeling like he was on the verge of a breakthrough.

Zhang Tian only needed a sudden surge of spirit qi to break through directly to Qi Refining Realm, Stage 2!

Needing the sudden surge of spirit qi, Zhang Tian then laid down 2 extra Low-Grade spirit stones In front of him on the ground, and suddenly felt the spirit qi around him getting denser and denser, almost causing him to go insane!

Zhang Tian once again closed his eyes and began absorbing all of the spirit qi that was inside of these stones to complete a breakthrough in his cultivation.

Absorbing..

…

Three weeks have passed..

Zhang Tian was getting closer and closer to breaking through when suddenly..

BOOM!

A loud explosion could be heard within his room startling anyone passing by his house in the middle of the night, and scaring any small animal away in the vicinity. He succeeded in breaking through.

Finally, Qi Refining Realm, Stage 2!

There was a massive difference in strength between Stage 1 and Stage 2, and you can even compare it to heaven and earth. Though it is easier than breaking through directly to the Qi Refining Realm, it's much harder to advance from here, making only five out of ten cultivators succeeding in breaking through to the 3rd stage in their lifetime.

Zhang Tian clenched his fists in excitement and thought to himself: 'I'm going to reach great heights in the future with this speed of cultivation! I should reach the Qi Strengthening Realm in no less than five years! The legendary genius Mo Ya reached the level of Spirit Sensing Realm at age 
thirty, I can surely reach that level by then!'

Excited, he finally stood up. and brushed off all of the dust on his clothing.

Zhang Tian was unusually hungry at the moment, so he decided to eat some food.

Zhang Tian walked down a set of stone stairs that were dusty and had multiple spider webs on them.

Zhang Tian finally reached a food cellar, where the food was being kept fresh by the 1-Star Cooling Array. 

As he looked around, he was shocked to see..

Gasp!

'...There's no more food and i just used the last of my spirit stones..' Zhang Tian thought with a distressed facial expression and his hands over his face grabbing tightly.

spirit stones were in high demand these days, so almost everything you could buy used these as a currency, this goes the same with food.

Though cultivators rarely eat, they still like the taste of food! 

Cultivators below that of the Spirit Sensing Realm will have to eat once a year at least, and Zhang Tian only started cultivating recently so it's only natural for him to feel hungry after cultivating.

Though it was painful to see, Zhang Tian finally stood up and decided on something.

As Zhang Tian walked up the flight of stairs, he then walked out of his shabby house closing his wooden door behind him.

He walked down a dirt pathway that led to the central area of the city, he was going there to extort- Uh, 'Borrow', some Low-Grade spirit stones from the City Lord, Wei Lin.

He walked through the central area of the city, and then saw a marketplace that was filled with all kinds of stalls and people walking down, he couldn't even see the end of it!

"Get some Spirit Strengthening pills made by a 3-Star Alchemist here! It can raise your chance of cultivating to the next stage by 10 percent, with a low price of 100 low-grade spirit stones!"

"Medium Grade Weapons made by a 2-Star Blacksmith here! If an ordinary human were to use one of these in battle, even a Qi Refining Realm, Stage 3 Powerhouse will not get out unscathed! 1 medium-grade spirit stone!"

"Get some...."

Zhang Tian finally managed to get by the crowd after a good 30 minutes of walking and waiting.

Zhang Tian then went directly to the City Lord Wei Lin's mansion that was located in the center of the city.

As Zhang Tian opened the mansion gates, he suddenly heard some voices yelling out: "Greetings to Direct Disciple Song!" multiple servants paid respects in unison, lining up and facing each other.

"Yes." Zhang Tian said and waved his hands dismissively, walking towards the giant doors of this mansion.

"Where is Teacher?" Zhang Tian turned to a servant that was following him and asked.

"He is in his living quarters at the moment, I will take you to hi-" the servant was talking but was interrupted by the giant doors opening and an elderly voice echoing from inside.

"Zhang Tian! You're already at the Qi Refining Realm, Stage 2?" the elderly man said trembling in fear.

'This Lad is too much! Just two months and he's already at stage 2! That single step took me an entire year..' Wei Lin thought to himself and almost cried, barely managing to hold his tears.

"Teacher!" Zhang Tian yelled, clasping his fist.

After he was done greeting his teacher, he then said with a smile on his face: "Yes i've broken through! Also, I used the rest of my spirit stones you gave to me for my cultivation and to buy basic human needs! I went into seclusion for one month and three weeks, only to feel hungry after breaking through.."

Over breakfast, Zhang Tian told Wei Lin of his situation..

"I see, so you're out of spirit stones?" Wei Lin asked.

"Yes! May I trouble Teacher to lend me some more low-grade spirit stones? I'll remember to pay you back!" the boy said with a slight smile on his face in hopes of receiving some of these stones.

"This.." Wei Lin looked like he was contemplating something major and then finally said: "While i could lend you them right away as they're just mere low-grade spirit stones I… "

"Ah, I know!" 

"How about this; I'll lend you one medium-grade spirit stone if…" Wei Lin was in the middle of saying something, but he paused as if he was thinking hard about something once again.

'Medium-grade spirit stones could be considered  a top grade treasure in this city! Even a thousand low-grade spirit stones pale in comparison to a single medium-grade spirit stone! How could I pass on this?'

"If?" Zhang Tian asked excitedly.

"If… You manage to slay the Tier 2 Savage Beast, Hundred Flame Lion!"

"Yes Teac- wait, what the f*ck?"

'Tier 2 Savage Beasts are stronger than the average Qi Refining Realm, Stage 2 cultivator! How could I slay a beast who is stronger than me in this situation?' Zhang Tian almost cried to himself.

Zhang Tian lived in Xinwei City for all of his life, only leaving to train in the grasslands. Though having little to no knowledge on the outside world, he is one day forced outside of the city when trouble occurs.. - This is my first actual novel so criticism is much appreciated!

Dear Diary,

2nd day of school down and.... *sigh* a lot more to go. Oh well, its school.

Anyway, it was an okay day at school. English was kinda fun, Mrs. Berry asked us to create a list of five goals that we want to reach by the end of the year. My five goals were:

1. Get all A's
2. Pass all test with 80% or better ( Getting a B- minimum shouldn't be that hard.)
3. Read more books
4. Form good study habits (Mine were horrible last year!)
5. Be more involved in school activities

Those are the goals that I thought were something that I could do, but at the same time weren't to difficult that I wouldn't be able to consistently hit my goals. After doing that for Mrs. Berry, I thought I would make my own for my freshman year. Let's see what do I wanna to do this year.

1. Get all A's. I still want good grades, plus I know it would make my dad happy. 
2. Be more involved in school activities, like maybe join a sport, team, or club. High School has a lot of those compared to middle school and I didn't do much in middle school. Time to make some memories. :)
3. Spend more time with my besties. Even though I want to go out and try new things, they are still my best friends and I want to spend time with them. Even its its studying for stupid school test together.
4. Get a boyfriend. :) Only if dad approves though. Now that I think about I don't know, how he feels about me dating... I'll ask him if it ever seems like a possibility.
5. First Kiss. <3 I know totally depends on number 4, but I can dream. Haha.

Speaking of boys and boyfriends, I did manage to see Dylan today. He was the eighth grade hotter when I was in middle school, even us 6th graders would stare at him and he looks hotter than he did two year. Is that even possible?! To bad he is a Junior though, I won't have any classes with him.

The party's level grinding process was going smoothly. Everything, ranging from Gu Fei luring the monsters, the ladies hitting the monsters with their Descending Wheel of Flames spell, and Gu Fei delivering the final blow on to the monsters... to Luo Luo winking at him from time to time, was going off without a hitch.
Not being able to stand it anymore, Gu Fei called Ice Glaze over during their latest timeout session while he munched on one fruit. He passed her the apple that she preferred and asked, "What's the matter with Luo Luo—did you see what she just did?" He indicated Luo Luo who had just winked at him for who knew how many times already.
"Yeah, I did," Ice Glaze cheekily pursed her lips.
"What's wrong with her?!" Gu Fei asked thickly.
"You are so oblivious to this!" Even Ice Glaze felt comfortable enough to joke with Gu Fei now, bluntly telling him, "Sis Luo Luo is lovestruck!"
"Lovestruck? How is that possible?" Gu Fei understood the term; what he could not fathom was why it only happened now, considering that it was not the first day that they got acquainted with each other. Having a sudden fondness for him just from finding out his other identity as the Close Combat Mage or Fugitive 27149 seemed a little too frivolous and farfetched. Besides, why would a level-headed person like her had such a superficial obsession? This was the second matter that Gu Fei could not fathom. 
"Well, for matters like this..." Ice Glaze shook her head, saying, "Sometimes, we just feel the chemistry on the spur of the moment."
"How tricky," Gu Fei looked over at Luo Luo as he said that. Luo Luo noticed his gaze once more and immediately winked at him again. The way she winked… It did not seem as if she was making sheep's eyes at Gu Fei, nor did it seem like an act of seduction. It was more like... teasing… As the word 'teasing' flashed through his mind, Gu Fei could feel himself crumbling apart inside right there on the spot. Never would he have thought that he would be teased by a lady... He wanted to weep, but no tears came out!
"Miles, have you finished eating yet?" Luo Luo called out in a singsong tone.
"It's blatant teasing!" The ladies were giggling while admiring Gu Fei's current state of embarrassment. Gu Fei stood up without replying to her and headed to a slightly distant corner of the field to continue the task of luring the monsters.
"He didn't confront her! How boring!"
"Is that so? I think it's more interesting that he's not confronting her..." The ladies had different views about Gu Fei's reaction to being teased.
The level grinding resumed under the current situation. Although he was under a different kind of 'assault', Gu Fei's monster luring remained flawless, showing everyone just how strong his willpower was. Thus, Royal God Call resuming his initial plan today made Gu Fei think that he had eaten something wrong. Gu Fei picked one booklet up, casually flipping through it before dropping it down. He asked, "How's your 'Bounty Mission' going?"
Royal God Call's expression dimmed, answering, "I managed to kill three, but the fourth one is on hiatus."
"What happened?" Gu Fei pressed on.
"My target has many companions, so I dared not make my move."
