Gu Mengmeng smiled and patted Cole's shoulder lightly. "It's the best if you dare not, after all, it would not be in your favor if I get angry."
After that, Gu Mengmeng walked past Cole and down the platform. Elvis caught her steadily, hugged her into his arms, turned around and left, not caring about anything happening behind them.
Lea kept quiet and followed behind them silently. The group returned to the little stone house Gu Mengmeng was living in.
After they went inside, Lea asked, "Do you… still want the esoterica?"
Gu Mengmeng smiled and said, "Are you interested in the esoterica?"
Lea nodded his head honestly. Gu Mengmeng replied with a 'understood' expression and said, "I was actually lying when I said I was able to memorize the three hundred poems, but of course I am able to recite the more famous ones. The two that Leader Cole tested me today was coincidentally the ones I know. I stopped him from continue asking because I was scared he might test some unknown ones that I couldn't recite… But if you are interested, I can teach you on the way when I teach it to the Hede brothers."
Gu Mengmeng sat on the bed and felt it was really funny after thinking over it. She waved to Elvis and Lea and said, "Now I finally knew why the previous Messenger would say 'the real Messenger of the Beast Deity would definitely know the content of the esoterica'. In our place, all the kids in kindergartens would know these poems, even those that are weaker in their studies would definitely memorize these few. So, I finally believed when you said I am the Messenger of the Beast Deity.
Lea and Elvis looked at each other and they exchanged a glance.
Lea asked, "What are you going to do next?"
Gu Mengmeng shrugged her shoulders and said, "I will participate in the beauty pageant and bring back those that I met eyes with."
Lea frowned and said, "Today you straightforwardly said that you are not willing to stay in Sauder on stage, I am afraid Cole might not let go of you so easily."
Gu Mengmeng thought for a while before replying, "But I feel that he is quite a gentleman and unlikely to do horrible things.
Lea let out a bitter laugh and said, "Have you forgotten? The snow foxes are the best at reading people's minds, this type of camouflage is nothing to him."
Gu Mengmeng thought, someone that would worship a "300 Poems of the Tang Dynasty" for a thousand years…
Gu Mengmeng smiled, patted on Lea's shoulder and said, "Don't be too worried, there is always a solution to a problem. My identity was announced in front of everyone, now that the whole world's eyes are on Sauder, his life would be harder than anyone if something happens to me in Sauder. Hence, he should not have the courage to go hard on me. If he really did thought of doing something dirty to us… Ha, what to do if I accidentally burn down his Sauder in a bad mood?"
Looking at Gu Mengmeng being so optimistic, Lea did not comment any further.
Some things were meant for the males to take care of.
It was the best for her to remain this happy and worry-free forever.
The beauty pageant was three days after Gu Mengmeng's identity was announced. In these three days, Saint Nazaire became a trending world in everyone's mouths. 
It was meaningless to continue holding this competition, because not only males, even the females that fame to participate in the competition expressed their intents of joining the competition.
In other words, as long as Gu Mengmeng nod her head, everyone in Sauder now could be brought back to Saint Nazaire all together.
Was there still a need… for the beauty pageant?


Going for a swim, she ends up in an ancient wild Beast World and ends up being brought home by a handsome wolf.
She wants to stick to the handsome wolf, stock some salt, farm some land, look at some handsome men and grow old like that, but the handsome wolf pounces on her every day.

The bright light made Kiko dizzy. It was blinding, and though they were strongly threwn, he forced himself to stay awake and see what had happened. However, the invisible impact was too powerful that he succumbed and laid flat on the ground.

Kiko had always felt the need to do the best in eveything he did. He was not the best in everything, he knew that, so there was no point in doing something he could not be any good. He also knew who was the best in everything - his brother Jackson.

How did he know that? Simply because Jackson was admired in all aspects. He was the kind that could make all girls turn their heads. He was in first year high school, tall, good-looking, and smart in everything. He was pretty brilliant in science and super quick in math. He read a lot so he was remarkably knowledgeable in history, geography, and current events. He was also athletic. Despite being just a freshman in Subangdaku Rural High School, he was an indispensable player in the school's basketball, volleyball, and track and field varsities. Above everything else, he could sing really well. He was not the singing contest type, but he could melt any heart once he sang ballad and jazz.

And Kiko always felt a pang of envy and sadness everytime he was compared with his brother. When he was younger, people did not see any potential in him. He was an introvert boy who would rather sulk in his room and draw random shapes in his pads than basking under the sun and play with other kids.

"Why does Kiko keep locking himself up in his room? Is he that shy? What future awaits him if he is like that?"

"Look at his brother. He is very reliable!" 

"Is Kiko not like any normal kid?" 

"No wonder he is not good in school, he is not doing any good with his time."

"Why is he not like his brother?"

Kiko always heard those words, and though he kept telling himself not to be affected, he was still hurt each time people insulted him. It was as if people enjoyed stabbing him continuously. At a young age, he was deeply wounded. 

He did not hate Jackson. It was not his fault that he was the perfect son, but there was always a pressure for Kiko to do well. Not to mention that he bore his father's name - Francisco Banting, Jr. So when he got older, he strived to be perfect in the things he did best. He needed people's approval, especially his parents. He did not have to surpass his brother, he just need to be in equal footing with him. So when he was in third grade, he abandoned his shy self and became the annoying Kiko.

He became outspoken and cheeky. He played sports but he was not really into them so he crossed them out from his "excellence" list. He also did not perform satisfactorily in his academics (he was either in the second or third section) so they were also disregarded. However, Kiko had interest in writing poems, essays, and short stories. He kept notebooks of his literary outputs. So when he auditioned as a writer in the school's publication, he was instantly accepted. That gave him a lot of confidence, so much that he ran as president of his class and as officer in other clubs in school. And yes, he won them all.

He might have ruled the election results but Kiko felt that most of the kids were not sincere in voting him. They did not believe in him. They just voted him to see when he would fail and to prove they were right - that Kiko was good for nothing. 

Yet, Kiko countered their expectations, proving them all wrong. He turned out to be an effective student leader. He was hard-working and meticulous. His projects were accomplished on time and with pleasing results, like their classroom Christmas tree, donations for victims of fire, and tree planting activity in the school. By and by, he gained everybody's respect and they followed him. Still, the kids kept their distance from and Kiko remained alone with himself most of the time.

It was in fourth grade when he became friends with the trio. Jamie and Tonton submitted a couple of poems to the school publication and requested at least two must be published. Kiko, being critical and perfectionist, was blown away with their demand. He was not also impressed with their works and rejected them outright. The boys argued and they ended in a funny tussle.

"You know what, I think you are cool," Jamie said after they were sent to the guidance counselor's office.

"Did not expect that you have a good punch," Tonton complimented, his left eye beginning to darken already.

Kiko flashed a big smile despite the sore in his left cheek. He felt great having a fight with other boys. It was two against one. That very day, they became friends. Nonetheless, two poems from Jamie and Tonton appeared in the school paper. 

Kiko knew that the duo were popular in school and he felt honored to be part of their circle. He finally had friends and it was like being at home at last. Kiko could not be any happier and he would do anything to keep and protect their friendship.

Then one day, he found himself waking up to a distressed place. Subangdaku was ashen and devastated. On the ground were his three friends, lying in a pool of blood....

Kiko jolted to the vision. It was scary and the dizziness he felt earlier instantly evaporated. He felt like he was suspended between dreams and reality. It was unbelievable and shocking, he remained motionless.

Later, his eyes surveyed the surrounding. It was still night and the blinding spectacle up in the heavens had finally ended. It happened only minutes ago but it felt like years in the dreamworld. He needed to see his friends. He turned around and saw a broad silhouette approaching.

"Bogart," his whispered, happy to see his wobbly body moving around. And for certain, he believed that no harm could have happened to his friends.

Situated between a large river and verdant mountains, Subangdaku is a peaceful and laid-back community. For the Biker Brothers - Jamie, Tonton, Bogart and Kiko, life in the district was all fun and easy. Until something happens.....

Two "meteors" hit the once quiet district. In the succeeding days, scientists and media flocked in Subangdaku, disturbing its serenity and bringing changes to the community. How far can the people face the challenges?

Meanwhile, a girl with golden locks arrives in the primary school. She swept the hearts and eyes of everyone, including the Biker Brothers. Yet, the four friends felt something is really off about her. Who is she? What are her secrets?

As Subangdaku embraces the consequences of the "meteor" impact, the Biker Brothers must race to confront the changes within them. As evil lurks and intends to destroy the townspeople, the boys must speed to stop it with the help of their friends and loved ones. Will they triumph? Or will the evil simply destroy them?

One day, during one of their reading sessions, she glanced up from the pages to look at him. He was actually a very handsome young man with a slender build. His brown hair casually swept over his forehead and very strong brows framed his eyes. He had a high nose bridge that further accentuated his overall handsomeness.
"Why did you stop? The next word is very easy. Don't tell me you haven't learned anything from reading every day?" he teased her. The girl's cheeks turned into a light shade of pink and resumed her reading. She couldn't believe she was openly staring at him. Just because he was blind didn't give her the right to be rude. 
One week had already passed by in the blink of an eye. She had finished the last poem for the day and had closed the book. She looked at the book for a moment before deciding to ask a question which she had on her mind ever since starting to read this book, "I don't really understand these poems. They're so vague. One poem would be talking about flowers budding and the next would be talking about a street market. How is this your favorite book?"
He took some time to think about her question before deciding on an answer. "These poems are easy for me to relate with. You're still too young to understand."
The girl's cheek puffed out in defiance. If she was only a few years older he wouldn't treat her like such a child. 
When she returned back to her parent's book store, her parents had just placed out a familiar book on the shelves. She recognized it as the book of poems that she was reading to the young man. She quickly ran up to her mother, pointed towards the book and asked, "Mother, what is this book about?"
Her mother took the book off the shelf and took a look at the cover before replying.
"This is one of my favorites. It's a book of poems about a man's life. The poems go in order from childhood to adulthood as he recounts his memories. The poems may seem random at first, but as you reach towards the end, you begin to realize that each poem was a memory he shared with someone special, probably the one he loved. It's too bad it seems he didn't end up with his loved one."
She placed the book back on the shelf and continued her work. The girl walked away with a million thoughts in her head. Memories shared with someone he loved. It was probably about his childhood friend which had married the baron. She couldn't help but feel her heart squeeze in anguish for him.
The next couple of days as she read the poems to him, she kept in mind what her mother had told her. With finally being able to understand the poems a little bit, she began to piece together the memories in which the poems held. 
The snow melted slowly // Giving way for the missed greenery // Flowers will begin to emerge // Farmers will begin to plant // Forgetting about the cold // It's a new beginning 
This was probably when they first met.

And this was probably when she left him.

Scroll was once mentioned to have gained her ability because she always sought knowledge by reading. But what if there was also something else that could have influenced her abilities?
This is a short fan fiction of a short piece of Scroll's past when she was young and had met a man who had also loved books.

Maybe it was the cheerful atmosphere in the air, or maybe it was all the chaos drink that she had consumed throughout the night, but something inside of Scroll made her want to speak up and tell a story. 
“I’ll go next,’ Scroll spoke up after the previous story. Everyone looked at Scroll expectantly. Out of everyone here, Scroll should have the most memory to remember all her encounters and all the things she has read. Surely her story would be everything but boring.
And slowly, Scroll began to recite her story.

I'm accepted. I'm surprised. Even though I'm the top of my grade in my high school, it's a fact that public schools in general are lacking compared to those high schools for the rich. However, I know I deserve it. Even though I'm from a public high school, I've given extra effort to study and read outside the curriculum to be number 1.
I actually don't care about being number 1 in my school; I just followed Tayaw's advice. Before he went off to college, he said 'Don't just study hard for the sake of studying. Make sure that every lesson on the textbook; know how to apply them in real life.' It was hard at first. If it was how I studied before, I would just memorize things and I'm good. But when I started studying and researching on each subjects, my reading basically multiplied. 
Thankfully, knowing how to apply them to practice made the stuff I read go down easier. The amount of information I also process while studying made me realize I've become smarter. I can connect information easier, and my memory improved as well. While I reduced the time of reading, my time applying the knowledge increased.
"That's the admission letter? Congratulations man." Tayaw said when he saw the letter on my hand. He came for a visit again after coming from Italy as an acclaimed movie director. I can't believe a world famous director is still sleeping in a bunk bed in my bedroom. 
"Yeah. It sounded braggy." I said. "Well. They have the right to. That's why I chose it for you." Tayaw said. 
Instead of applying to the Preparatory High School near dad's auto shop like the family talked about, Tayaw instead had me apply at Rinowra in Ouigab. It's not a boarding school, but still one of the best private high schools in the whole Northern Teungeb.
"mm. That's good. It actually won't make a difference what you study. Just study the way you're doing, and you'll be fine." Tayaw said. He's assuring me, but I'm honestly anxious. 
"Hah. Easy for you to say. I heard they're full of snobby kids from rich families." I said. "Hey. That school is different. They only care about grades. Sure, there may be a lot of rich kids there, but if they worked hard in studying, I bet they did not have the time to learn to be snobby." Tayaw said. 
"I'm jealous of you man. You didn't study hard in high school and now, according to dad, you can now retire if you want to and go for vacation for the rest of your life. I wish I'm an author too." I said. Sincerely, but I hid it in a jesting tone. I know though that I'm not an artist like him. Writing songs, writing books, and making a movie, and I don't even know how to do them even if I'm given millions of BGCs to start. I can say for sure because since Tayaw became a famous author, I've tried writing songs and stories in my spare time. 
"Hey. Play to your strengths. You're book smart and you can apply what you learn in real life. Just look at your garden in the backyard. I would not believe you grew that from just the knowledge you read from books. Look at your old game boy, you fixed it yourself after looking it up on the internet. Not everyone can do that." Tayaw said, which consoled me.
"Strength. Is that why mom and dad don't care if Agew don't get high grades? Making good vases is his strength?" I asked. 
"Exactly. And painting stuff too. He's good with his hands.  Now. Do you like learning things?" Tayaw asked. "Yes. It was fun measuring the area of our lot, how much of it is occupied by the house, how much is spare for other stuff. You know that whe-" "Alright. The point is you're having fun doing it. As long as you're having fun doing something productive, it's good." Tayaw said and went back to fiddling with his laptop. 
Why is he always busy? He's already rich and he just finished a movie. "What are you doing?" I asked out of curiosity. "Oh. I've wrote a lot of songs, but I can't possibly perform them all. I'm writing them down to sell. " Tayaw replied. 'Possibly'? "Just how many songs have you written?" I asked. "I don't know. Thousands? I'm sorting out the best ones." He explained as if it's no big deal.
"thousands… Then that's hundreds of albums, huh?" I read on the internet that an album at least have 7 or 8 songs as long as they're 31 minutes or more combined. "No. It's not that simple. Most of them are not good enough." He said. "So aside from writing books you wrote the lyrics too? How did you write lyrics for thousands of songs?" I asked, overwhelmed by the amount of work it will take. "What? Ah. I've misspoke. The songs I'm talking about are just the music. I've not written lyrics for them yet." He said. 
Still, that's a lot of work. "I see. Is that American band the only people you've sold songs to?" "Sold-.. Yes. They're the only ones for now. Hey. How's your English by the way?" Tayaw asked me suddenly. "It's going okay, I guess. I'm listening to recorded radio shows. I'm making some simple poems to practice too." I said. Whenever I do gardening or walk to and from school, I've recently gotten into radio shows. Aside from that, I also listen to Tayaw's English songs. 
"Poems? What type of poems?" Tayaw asked, showing interest, which he usually doesn't. Now I wish I had not told him about the poems. "They're just for practice. They're not anything special." I said. "Why?" "Well, because it's not formal English. I'm just writing casual stuff to remember new words I learned." I said.
"That's good. That's good. Do you write Teungebian poems too?" He asked, thankfully not insisting. "Yeah. I use them to memorize stuff so they don't really form … coherent stories." I explained. It's fun doing them. Since elementary school, long before I studied using Tayaw's 'apply into practice' style, I always wrote poems to memorize stuff easier instead of acronyms that I always forget. "That's good. Let's say you don't have to use formal writing, and you form coherent stories, can you still write poems?" He asked. Can't he just ask if I can write actual poems?
"Yeah. I think so. I don't know if they're good though. Why?" I asked. "Well, can you let me take a look at your poems?" He brought it up again. I know he will insist or bribe. But I feel guilty whenever he bribes using stuff that are much more valuable than the simple things he wants from me. I also know he doesn't like embarrassing people, so I guess I just have to show him. "Alright." 
A minute later, *flip* *flip* *flip* "hmm… mmm.. mmhhhmm.. hmm? Hmm." basing on his expression, at least he doesn't seem to hate it. "You wanna move in my house at Ouigab?" He suddenly asked. "On August?" I asked. "On August. My bed room is large enough for two beds." He explained. So, he has a house too in Ouigab? He can afford it but he never told mom and dad he bought one. 
"Yeah? Why can't just get a spare room then?" I asked. It's a valid question. If he bought a house, then he definitely bought a large one just like the one he bought in New York. "Well. You know the band I played with in my YouTube Channel? They live with me. We make music." He explained. It makes sense now. At least I know now that he's at least not living alone. He's even living 1,2,3 …  6 people! He's living with more people than he did when he was living here. He's not lonely. 
"Alright! I'll go." I'm excited. It's only two months and I can't wait. 
"You're 16 now. Had your driver's license yet?" He asked. "YEAHP. But.. Dad doesn't allow me to drive by myself when I drive here to and from his workshop in Jebung … He gets yell-y too, but I get why." I said. "Hmm? That's a long drive. SO you're driving to his workshop now huh." He said in surprise. It is understandable. 65 kilometers, more than an hour drive on zig zags is tough. "At first, I would always feel spent. But now, I don't feel as tired." I assured, when I saw the worried look on his face. 
"Alright. Be careful. If you can drive safely without even leaving a scratch on dad's van, I may even buy you a car when you get to Ouigab." He said. I'm gob smacked. I don't even know what to say.

We had shifted our house and here it feels boring, there are no kids in this cross, that we know and it is very boring spending the last few days of your summer vacation fighting with your sibling. Ameya is turning more stubborn and unruly and mom is least concerned about this. She has a smart mouth, not smart, over smart mouth. And I hate people who are over smart, can't help she is my sister.
If you ask me about my relationship with dad it had never been this worse, he keeps on barking and I am least bothered about it, but it hurts a lot, I have been crying every day before sleep, I have nightmares. I dreamed about me being killed by my dad.
I felt him holding my neck and drowning me underwater, I felt breathless, helpless, I wasn't able to wake up from the dream, I was sweating. My dad became a reason for my sleepless nights.
The next day he asked me what I had dreamt about and why I was crying? I lied, I told my dad that I didn't remember anything.
I thought that would hurt my dad, was it worth it? Me being concerned about what he will feel when he doesn't think twice before spatting hurtful words?
Yesterday he called me a bastard, if I was a bastard what was he? A bastards' dad? I wanted to say that out loud but I didn't dare to.
More than desperation what filled my heart was fear, I was feared by my dad who was one of the reasons I was here.
Everybody says I look like my dad, I wanted to deny that, I never wanted to become like him, neither by looks nor by attitude.
If this was told to me when I was ten, I would be happy that I look like my dad. I was my daddy's princess back then now I am my daddy's bastard.
How ironic is it?
Now that I look back I was blinded, he never was the dad that I thought that he was. I could hear him abusing my mom mentally when I was three. I didn't notice that because it was an everyday happening, now when it was directed to me that is why I can notice it.
Why did dad like boys more than girls? Do boys have horns? Or an extra tail? What was so special about being a guy?
Now that she thought about it, boys were luckier than girls. They are not judged by the clothes they wear, they can safely go out at nights, they didn't have to leave their parents after marriage, they didn't have to do house chores.
How she wished she was a guy, believe it or not, I have never gone to any of my friend's house except for Athena's and Adwaith's. Because they shared the same language and were neighbours for almost four years her parents allowed her to go to their house only on Sunday's that too if her dad agrees.
Girls always had a lack of freedom compared to boys.
This new house is smaller compared to our previous one, this belongs to a very far away relative of ours. It's very difficult to define the relationship between the house owner and us. It's complicated.
We don't have a home of our own if you ask me why? Dad is not interested, he thinks there will be a day when money flows into our house, which is not happening soon. Mom has been pestering dad on this but he just shoos her away.
I was least concerned about this I just needed a roof to live whether it's my own or not. Maybe I had inherited this from dad.
As the school was about to open my dad pushed me into studies, the same branded books which we received last year. Can't they at least change the style of the textbooks, the maths text was as thick as my thighs, how am I going to pass this year?
I opened my English literature text the only subject I was interested in. From last year subjects were divided for us.
Science became - Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
Maths became - Arithmetic, Geometry and Algebra.
Social was - Geography, History and Civics.
This is the reason why Indians thought studying in ICSE school was great. Here kids are tortured from a young age. Growing up my mother was often told that her dearest daughter had angelic features. I'm a straight A student in advanced Language Arts and Math classes and I have been recommended to be put in an advanced Chemistry class. I'm a massive animal lover, to the point where in my science class when we were observing deceased creatures in beakers, I noticed a deceased mouse and sparrow, leading to me hiding my tears for the majority of the period. When people have crushes on me they are usually normal but this year I've had either perverted or weird people with crushes on me. These same people have liked me for the past three years (since 6th grade). I have no interest AT ALL in being in a romantic relationship, yet I still wish that instead of perverted weirdos liking me that actual NORMAL people would seek my attention. You could say that I am a country girl since I do, in fact, own and use a lasso, cowgirl hat, cowgirl boots, and I ride horseback. In 6th grade I used to be obsessed with the thought of me being a country girl, and I would wear plaid flannels with bootcut jeans and my cowgirl boots. Everyday I wear the same sweatshirt and jeans, with the same black converse that I wear everyday. I will occasionally wear ripped jeans with a t-shirt and possibly gray vans. My best friend's mother had told her to stop dressing like a hoe, and I quote "should dress more like Adriana." Besides me having nice hair and nice facial features, my pleasant smelling self has added to my "perfect" image. I have been told countless times that I smell good, like pumpkin spice, and another best friend of mine's brother told me that I "smell good, like girl." I've also been told that I have a great personality and that I'm "weird" but a good weird "like a weird that makes people laugh and smile." I have so many things to brag about, like how when my family went to Alaska, my mother, grandmother, and I were leaving a gift shop and the woman at the front counter told my grandmother that "that girl has beautiful hair" which led to my granny proudly telling the woman "that's my granddaughter." Another perfect thing about me is that I like to play the piano and write poems. Some of the poems I have written consist of "My Thanksgiving Feast:

Even though I have all these "perfect" traits people still judge me on stupid things like how I write in cursive, "Why are you writing in cursive?" like it's a bad thing that I'm writing in cursive and I shouldn't do it because it's "weird." I also get other stupid comments about my handwriting like "You write your d's and g's weird." because when I write in print I use cursive y's and g's and my d's have always been like that. And people constantly reminding me of how I'm "too innocent and pure" really irritates me, and since I'm passive aggressive I won't tell people to back off and stop pointing out stupid little details about me. I never point out little details about them in prissy little tones so why do it to me. I used to be naive and make friends with everyone and talk to everyone, I never once thought "he's so weird" or "ugh he really irritates me" but these sly little comments people are trying to pass as "innocent opinions" are taking my kindhearted personality for granted. Why are you just now pointing these things out and why do you care? It's just how I am so stop judging me.

Instead of writing a novel I decided to talk about myself. Thinking about what to write gives me writer's block. And everything I think of is way too similar to other people's writing ideas. "Tomboy meets bad boy" "Gangsters little mistress" "New to town". Nothing is original enough in my head. I can't make a comic because I'm bad at drawing and I don't like drawing. I only like writing poetry and ever since the 4th grade I've really enjoyed writing short stories but this is a challenge. I have to write a 10 thousand to 20 thousand word novel and submit it within 10 days. I don't HAVE to write it, but I want the prize of 800 coins so I can read more of the novels I enjoy. Because if it's one thing I know, it's that I love to read. The stories that people create on webnovel are so creative and it just shows how talented these people are. While writing I've also been listening to classic rock from the '60s, '70s, and '80s. I've also been drinking iced chai tea with Minecraft music playing in the background. Fun fact about me, I like video games. This could be a flaw in some eyes, but it could also be a good thing in others. I have a PS3, yes I know the "XbOx Is BeTtEr" but this is what I'm stuck with. I'm actually a tomboy and like playing Call of Duty Black OPS II and Minecraft, and since my old Xbox is at my grandma's house, when I visit her I play Tony Hawk skater games. In 5th grade I was at my greatest height of tomboyness. I wore basketball shorts and baggy t-shirts every day with my blue high top converse. And since most of the time it's cold where I live, I would wear athletic leggings under my shorts, and in 6th grade boys started to wear leggings under their shorts too. Everyday I would put my hair up into a ponytail and I'd always call people "bro" and "dude" and I even wore boxer briefs and stole my brother's clothes. The reason why I became a tomboy was because I looked up to my brother A LOT. I wanted to be just like him, even though I'm a girl. I didn't want to change my gender or be called a "guy", but I did want people to notice me as a tomboy. In 6th grade I was less of a tomboy and went to my country girl stage, mixing with the tomboy stage. In 7th grade I became somewhat "normal" and would wear ripped jeans and sweatshirts just like the other girls. I even started wearing mascara. That same year I started to develop a "thing" for redheads, and to this day I'm still into redheads. I mean their hair is so unique and their eyelashes aren't BROWN OR BLACK AND IT"S AMAZING. Which brings me to my "crush" list. In 7th grade I decided to write down all of my crushes and say what I liked about them. All of them were athletic and cute so you could tell my "type."
1st: "I have a crush on P. He's tall, thin, cute, handsome, and I THINK he's nice and funny, plus he's a football player. In a game of capture the flag P got tagged by the other team, so I ran over to tag him back into the game, but I ran into S and got tagged. Someone (I can't remember who) tagged me back in and I tagged P in right away. Out of all my three crushes (note: why the freak did I have three crushes at once, what was wrong with me???) he's second best. P is also dating my friend J though… so that's weird/awkward. She doesn't know though.
2nd: "T is someone I a tiny bit like. He's nice, funny?, sweet and if he was fit (no offence) (note: DANG I was judgmental, one again, what was wrong with me???) he'd be cute, plus he's a football player. I sit next to T in honors ELA and was partnered with him in Technology in the 6th grade. He once for a little while said and told people that I told him to "go drink bleach and die in a hole," (note: what the freak, why is everything in this book weird) which I never actually told him to do, or even thought of it. I think he was imagining things or mistaken me for someone else who told him that. I think he's gotten over that now. He likes to spread the rumor that he has a crush on me, but I know that he will never actually like me. T does wrestling too, but I now only like him as a 'friend'." (Note: he's actually one of my best friends now and he's pretty darn awesome.)
3rd: "E is my ultimate crush. He's nice, sweet, funny, handsome, cute , has dimples, and thinks I'm pretty (note: oh my gosh this entire page is filled with things about him). He's a freshman and I'm only a 7th grader, but I just can't help but like him, like A LOT. Sometimes I have dreams with him in them and I also daydream about him all the time. He kept looking at me in Silverwood (note: that's because you kept staring at him without knowing it you naive girl), but I think that's just because of my indents (note: my indents are the scars I have from when I got molluscum contagiosum, a sickness you get from other little kids). He's good friends with G. E goes to a preparatory school or private school (either one I can't remember)(note:he doesn't; he just goes to a different school than me). He's amazing. When I was in line to go on Aftershock for the first time I was scared and worried but he helped me feel better. The second time I went on Aftershock (on the same day) K went on with me and G wouldn't give up him and E's inner seats but E did. He's so incredible! 
4th: "C has been my friend since we were little kids (I think preschool). He's funny and nice. I think our friendship is one sided. He's one of my best GUY friends. But I think I'm just some annoying girl to him (note: SIGGGHHHH). I like to tease him and do things like punch him in the shoulder (note: no wonder he thinks I'm annoying, gosh). I don't punch him anymore though because I know he doesn't like it (note: DUH). C is a football player and plays video games (which is a plus). His mom likes me. She even asked me to punch him on time.
5th: "H is SO, SO, SO cute. He's not as cute as E but, you know. H is tall and fit (note: no he's not he's chubby). He always wears these camouflage sweatpants. He's SO cool. He has the BEST fake British accent  EVER. Every time he does the accent I fall even more for him. Every time I look at the clock I see from the corner of my eye him making a funny face to me (note: that's because he liked me and so did some other kid in our class). He's nice to me. In gym class whenever I fail to do something he tells me it's alright and, in my mind, supports me. I really like him. But not as much as I like E.

As you can see I was boy crazy.

In the morning, waking up with joyful laughter, I opened my eyes and found that I was lying on the floor, by the window, covered with a blanket. 
 
Remembering what happened last night, I suddenly smiled. And this smile told me that I am happy. 
 
When I saw the pictures that Moonlight took, I couldn't stop smiling. 
 
For the first time, life seemed full of hope and dreaming. For the first time, the morning seemed like a fairy tale.

It pointed me to a little book, or rather a guide to how to drive a flying machine. 
 
"Not the best book to start reading." 
 
"I'd like to read your book," Moonlight suddenly said, and as if specifically, to give its words some meaning, it took a few steps in my direction. But there was no point. It just wanted to take one of the books on my desk. 
 
"My book? Do you want to be my first reader?" 
In front of me, forth, was the most sincere, kind and pure creature, whose thoughts were just as beautiful as the Moon itself. 
 
"Yes. I wonder what you're writing about." 
 
"You can easily read my mind," I said. 
 
As always, the surprised look made me nervous, but I tried to look indifferent. 
 
"I can. But I don't want to read your mind without your permission."
 
I was surprised by that answer. 
 
"If a person could read minds, he or she would use this skill without any doubt." 
 
"Tell me about people." 
 
"You better see it with your own eyes." 
 
Noticing that it wanted to read the book that was still in my hands, I said, "This is a collection of poems. Of course, now, no one writes poetry. And it's very sad." 
 
"Poems," it whispered, as if it were some kind a of mystery. 
 
When I turned away, I felt the presence of this creature in the room and saw a reflection on the mirrored wall opposite. 
 
And what I noticed made my heart ache. 
 
These eyes expressed no longer surprise, they expressed, sadness. 
 
Sensing my gaze, Moonlight asked, "Why are mirrors everywhere?"
 
"My mother came up with this style. I don't know why, but she likes mirrors." 
 
"I like that style, too." 
 
"Why?" 
 
"I can see your reflection wherever you are," Moonlight replied. 
 
Silence again created an awkwardness. 
 
"Are you afraid?" it suddenly asked. 
 
"Why do you think so?" 
 
"I don't know. I just want to understand you." 
 
It was hard for me to continue this conversation. And to my happiness, hearing some strange noise, somewhere outside the house, I ran to the window and saw Yundoran. 
 
And immediately the thought came to me that he should not see Moonlight. 
 
"Moonlight, you need to sit here and wait for me. Don't go anywhere without me." 
 
"I'll be waiting for you here." 
 
I quickly grabbed my jacket, and I ran out of the room and closed the door. 
 
And when I left the room, Yundoran ran out to meet me. The expression on his face was slightly frightened. 
 
"What happened?" 
 
"You need to listen to something," he said, grabbing my hand, running toward the door. 
 
Still frightened, Yundoran quickly got into the car and ordered me to close the door, which I did. Then, looking around, he muttered something, but I didn't understand anything. It's the first time I've seen him so concerned. 
 
"What happened? Tell me." 
 
Silently pressing the little button above his head, Yundoran applied his index finger to his lips as a sign that I had to remain silent too. 
 
A quiet, barely perceptible voice filled a tense silence. 
 
"These creatures are a real treasure. They are even more important than what humanity has achieved. With them, with their ability to read minds, we will be able to follow everyone, understand everyone and most importantly know what everyone is thinking. Don't you think that this will allow us to understand the desires of every inhabitant of this planet, so that we know what to do to improve the lives of everyone. I think it will be necessary for us." 
 
When the voice stopped speaking, I heard Sennhandd's quiet voice. But his words remained promiscuous. 
 
"Where did you hear this conversation?" 
 
"I went to visit an old friend. A friend of mine works in one of the branches of SCIBMAG. And so, as I was passing by the office of the chief of this place, I accidentally heard this conversation. And there was Sennhandd. You know what's the worst part? He didn't mind, he just listened and agreed with everything Mrs. Lane said to him." 
 
"Lane? Who is she? I've never heard of her." 
 
"Sometimes I think you're really living in a different time." 
 
"So, who is she?"
 
"Lane, she's the main character of the whole SCIBMAG. Everyone thinks it's Sennhandd. But really, it's her. Without her, no one will do anything. And even Sennhandd does everything what she says. If she doesn't like something, she says so. Every invention, every idea goes through her approval. I'm just surprised you don't know such an important and mysterious person." 
 
"This is the first time I've heard of her. And what do you think of what she said? Do you think that's going to be true? Does she really think she can read everyone's mind? It's impossible. How much effort it will take? And yet, why would she read mind when, now, everyone just doesn't have any thoughts," I said and laughed. Although, I realized that there was nothing funny about it. 
 
"If Lane has something to do, nothing will stop her. She will go to the end, but will reach her goal. Did you hear what she said, didn't you? These creatures, I knew they could read minds for a reason. One predictor was right to say that in the future, even in thought, a person will not be free. And now, this day has come." 
 
Noticing the obvious worry on his face, I put my arms around his shoulders and said, "But we have nothing to worry about or hide. Our thoughts are clear." 
 
"Aren't you scared? Just imagine, your every thought will be known to those who can at any moment use your own thoughts against you. I'm scared. I don't want them to know my thoughts." 
 
"So, my beautiful friend has something he wants to hide? What secrets do you have? I think I know. You're afraid they'll find out that your thoughts are always just about me." 
 
"I'm not joking right now. Oki, look, we shouldn't let these Wizards read our minds," he whispered.
 
"What are you suggesting I do? Or what do you want to do? How are you going to stop them? You're just a human being. You're not even part of SCIBMAG." 
 
"I'll do anything to stop them," he said, and for the first time, became so serious that I for a moment didn't recognize my friend.

This story takes place in distant future when all people are immortal. 

There are no diseases, no suffering. There is no division into rich and poor. Everyone is equal. 

Science is developing so fast, that robots, other dimensions became an ordinary things. 

And in addition to all this, scientists created someone who can read thoughts and fulfill any wishes. 

They called these creatures - Wizards. 

With the appearance of this kind of magical creatures who were born in the laboratory, people have a new source of entertainment. 

They can make a wish and magical creature will make it come true. 

Now, the world has completely changed. But humans became cold and emotionless. 

New dangers are everywhere. Even if the world is free from death and suffering. 


When everything becomes too cruel and scary, the main character goes against the system, in order to remind everyone about what is it to be a human. 

There is a long journey to understand it. And on his way, the main character meets his love. So now, he has more meaning in his life. 

This is the story about cruelty and morality. It is ironical and sad. But the love is always beautiful, even if everyone forgot about it.

I got to school on time before the lecturer was in for the first class. A few of the other students were in. I was quite an introvert, so naive in terms of starting a conversation with anyone I didn't know that good. But the lucky part was that I had a few friends there. I took a seat at my usual sport and took my book out to write my usual poems.
I took a deep breath and tried to think of what to write about. My brain was already full and I just couldn't strain it anymore. I felt like going back home and just taking a deep sleep and submerge myself into dreams. Unfortunately all those dreams I had were never reality.
My phone beeped and I saw messages from the last semisters what'sapp group. I was the class representative then. I passed through the dozens of messages and the name Brian hit me.
Hmm..Brian, a guy I had a crush on in school ever since Dylan started snobbing me all the time. He was cool, funny and a charmer. I wasn't good at telling someone I loved them especially men and especially romantic kind of love. So I tried my best to show him how I was head over heels in love with him in hope he'll notice me and ask me out. I spent most of the time with him, paired myself with him in most of the class group games and conversations, bought him soda a certain day all girls had to buy a soda for the boys but all that was in vain. He still never asked me out. At some point I thought maybe it's because he didn't feel the same way I did for him but it was obvious he did. I guess he was too shy to just let me know he was inlove with me.
I checked my phone for any messages expecting Dylan's. I was really stupid, Dylan never texted me with the excuse that he was not a message person he loved phone calls more than messages. Something funny was that he was always online. I bought all that lie unfortunately.
Shortly two of my friends walked into the class room and I just  smiled my misery off my face as they came towards me. Suddenly one of them, Dan, snatched my book from the table. 'Oooh Shit it's my secret book' My mind informed me. "What have you written in here." He asked as he moved back to check the book with his friend Fidel. I stood up hurriedly before they could check the content inside and followed to get my book back but they kept on putting it out of my reach as they flip pages . I couldn't let anyone know what I was passing through. Though it was full of poems and I was sure they won't figure out that was my life. "Stop it you two, give me back my book!" I complained trying my best to get my book back. I succeeded at getting it back. Fidel took a seat behind me and Dan next to him. Shortly the lecturer walked into class and all attention turned to him.
