I don't want to fill Itas Adventure and other books I release with news, so this will be for news and other stuff.

So I know I spent a while on William's past, but from all the past books I've read the best where the books that actually had character development. So the author could connect and bring some details full circle.

William was an Armourer in the Military, but after an accident he wakes up in a Strange World, filled with magic and Kings and Queens. War is no stranger to this land, in order to keep his new family safe. He must grow in strength and power in order to keep the new life he so desperately wants. Follow our main character as he grows up in a new world of mystery and magic. While he might not have the strongest magic in this new world, nobody can conquer his creations

Both Arjun and Rick came back to the Mortal World. Arjun didn't know that his visit to hell would give him too many details about the killer. So he used his mental connection and wanted to call back Ben and others. But this small job Arjun assigned for them would benefit them in the future. So Arjun didn't call them back. This is something they would do in the future as well. With the likes of Prince Airen helping them, Arjun was assured about their safety. 

Rick said, "What should we do now?"

Arjun said, "We have four days left for our family's execution. So let's go to library first. We had to get a general idea about the customs of this world. Once we learn the history of the War Realm, we will get a general understanding about this realm. Only then we will make our move."

"How long are we going to stay in the War Realm?" , Rick asked 

"All day." , Arjun said, "Tomorrow we would be going to catch that Garth. Today let's go and understand about this world."

"Let's do it that way then." , Rick replied and headed towards the Library.

After a brief enquiry, both of them found out the location of the Library. The Armegeddon City wasn't big. But compared to the library in the Star Moon Empire back in Life Realm, it was too big. 

Arjun wasn't interested in order to compare both the buildings from his home realm and the one in front of him. In fact, he wasn't interested in visiting the library at an emergency situation like this. He wanted to go and capture that killer Garth and submit him in front of the City Lord in exchange for his family. But if a random nobody appears and brings a random nobody, and tells you that this captured person is the true killer of your son, and there was no proof, then what can Arjun do? He might have the recording crystal from Behemoth with him. But when the City Lord asks Arjun from where did he get thus proof, it will make Arjun speechless. 

So he didn't take any risk while his family's life was hanging on the thread. So he left this issue for the Unique Dao of Wisdom. 

But the Unique Dao of Wisdom has a major requirement. And that requirement was nothing but information. The more information Arjun can provide for the Unique Dao of Wisdom, the more detailed plan his Unique Dao of Wisdom could provide him. So what he needed right now is information. And the best place to gather information about a new place is none other than the Library. 

Arjun entered the City Library. He found an attendant sitting at the counter. He walked towards the attendant and said, "Hello! I am here to browse some books."

That attendant who was a female with stunning features looked at Arjun and Rick, she smiled and asked, "May I know if sir has a Membership Card or a guest customer?"

"We are the guest customer." , Arjun honestly replied. 

"Sir, if you subscribe for the membership, then, for every book you browse, you will enjoy the benefit of 10% discount." , That female attendant maintained her smile and said, "Sir, may I know whether you are interested in applying for the Membership Card?"

"No. Actually we are new to this realm. So we doesn't have a proper home yet. And the reason we are here to learn whatever we can about the War Realm." , Arjun smiled and said, "If we get a residence here, then I will apply for the Membership Card. As of now, I am not interested."

That female attendant stunned for a moment. She gave "there exist people who are still interested in coming to the War Realm" look at both Arjun and Rick.

She then showed her professional character and smiled and said, "Sir, the first floor is the free section. In the free section, you could access all the books for free. All you will be charged is the Library entry fee. The entry fee is five Violet Rank Spirit Stone per hour. But for the Membership Card holder, the entry fee would be reduced to three Spirit Stones per hour. Since sir is a guest customer, you will be charged five Spirit Stones per hour."

"I understand." , Arjun replied. 

That female attendant continued, "As for the books in the second floor, only the ranked Membership holders can browse them. And the price is very high. The least charges start from five Indigo Ranked Spirit Stones!"

"That expensive?" , Rick asked in amazement, "What kind of books exist in the second floor?"

"They are information related to ancient unsolved mystery." , That female attendant said, "The one who access it is very rare. Only the adventure freaks and well renowned Archeologists would occasionally comes and access them."

Arjun nodded his head. He asked, "What about the books related to the history and culture of the War Realm?"

"They are in the free section." , The female attendant replied, "We have abundant amount of various books related to the War Realm. You can find the books starting from ancient history to the current situation of the War Realm. It might be related to the culture, politics, the rules in the War Realm etc. You can access to everything."

""That female attendant said, "As the guest customer, you will be charged five Spirit Stones per hour. But you need to pay three Spirit Stones per person in advance."

Arjun already has 20000 Spirit Stones which he received from Lansha very recently. So he had no issue related to the Spirit Stones. He took out three Spirit Stones for himself and another three Spirit Stones for Rick and gave it to the female attendant. 

She received and showed the way. She said, "Sir, this way please."

Arjun nodded his head. Rick also followed him. After walking some distance they were greeted with a hall with around thirty huge racks. Each rack was filled with hundreds of books. The Library gave the smell of the books. 

That female attendant showed them the rack which contains the books related to the War Realm. Both Arjun and Rick went towards that rack.

Arjun said, "I will browse the books related to the politics, customs and culture of the War Realm. You go and look for the Ancient history. The Ancient history should not be ignored at any cost. So read carefully."

"I got it." , Rick replied. 

Both of them searched for the books they decided to read. After around five minutes of browsing, they finally took some books out of shelf. They took a chair and started to read it.

This is the world where magicians are respected.. and the weak people ar doomed. Arjun Kumar our main protagonist is dsired to become the great magician but later finds that he has no "magic core" at all. Arjun didn't fell disappointed. He trains in Willpower the lengthy and time consuming way.

But his fate changes when he meets a poweful Dragon named 'Magneel' who is kind to Humans and gives his power to Arjun and trains him. 

Join the adventures of Arjun and Magmeel who together joins in an adventures along with the interesting new characters who will be introduced in the future.

Dr. Mabi sat in his study reviewing some papers. He was getting ready for a lecture at the Sippar Imperial Military Academy. Although his specialty was Elf physiology, Dr. Mabi was renowned and respected in the medical fields in general. 

He would often lecture at academies and universities throughout the Empire. His lecture at this time would be on the subject of common sense medical practices on the planet Thurbor. Thurbor, a planet which served as a military post for the Sippar Empire. Every planet had its ecology and with each planet, newly posted military personnel needed to know who to protect themselves.  

There were always issues with plants and animals and how to interact with them, eat them, and be aware of them, but this wasn't the Dr.'s area. The Dr. was teaching about what to do when getting injured on the planet. There were always training accidents and sometimes there were fights with native inhabitants and enemies. 

The planet was a strategic point in the territories between the first and fourth quadrants of the galaxy. It was always hotly contested and this meant there was never much of a presence on the planet. This changed about ten years ago when the Sippar Empire was able to push the line of demarcation further into the territory of its nemesis the Barkkdian Empire.

Posts and bases were being built all over the planet. Even small towns where military families were able to live began to spring up. Every post needed a place for the soldiers to spend their time and money and shops and entertainment locations were being planned. Unfortunately, the environment was proving to be less than hospitable for the forces on site.

Dr. Mabi was quietly preparing his materials and deciding what he would take with him as he started packing for the trip. He always liked to pack his papers and books first. 

"Boval, come in here," Dr. Mabi yelled. 

After a few moments, Boval walked into the study. He was fifteen-years-old and lived with Dr. Mabi for ten years already! What started as a Dr. patient situation soon became a Mentor disciple situation. During Boval's time with Dr. Mabi, he discovered Boval was gifted in medicine. Gifted was understating his capabilities. From Dr. Mabi's, standpoint, Boval was an unparalleled genius.  

Boval understood nothing was amazing about his level of knowledge and talent regarding medicine. He spent the last few hundred years practicing medicine in Big Ole Wall Town. According to the three-five paths (chapter 69), he was a Master Tradesman. He mastered all the trades including medicine, music, formations, forging, and pills. 

He mastered every field but he was strongest in the formations trade. However, he loved medicine. Of course, the philosophy of the three-five paths is all paths support and develope together to push the adherent of the path to overall greater mastery. They were better overall in one trade because of their mastery of the other paths. 

The three-five paths referred to the Paths of Trade, Knowledge, and the Soul. Each Path had five sub-paths. It was thanks to his mastery of Master River's teachings regarding the three-five paths he had so much accumulated knowledge and wisdom to draw upon now. Therefore, his aptitude wasn't so amazing. It took him thousands of years to acquire his knowledge. Even though he was in a new world, he was equipped to excel in anything he chose. 

Even though he already knew as much as he didn't this didn't mean he already knew everything. His time with Dr. Mabi was extremely beneficial to Boval. The Dr. was as creative a thinker as he was a careful researcher. Boval learned a great deal and was inspired to increase his studies. Of course, Lorne was becoming weary of the life of an academician. He didn't reincarnate into this world just to sit around and read books and give papers. He wanted a life of adventure. 

This trip to the Sippar Imperial Military Academy was a big move. It was his first step in pursuing a life of adventure. He was able to convince Dr. Mabi to help him get into the Academy. Although he would be studying medicine, or teaching it, his main focus for training would be as a starfighter pilot. 

Boval missed the feeling of flying through the skies and among the stars. It was something he was forced to give up when he moved to this new world. In reality, he gave up all of his tremendous powers becoming a mortal. This sacrifice was worth it for Boval. He felt living like a mortal would give the rush of adventure he was looking for. It's hard to feel the thrill of adventure when ninety percent of the things in the universe can't hurt you. Now, everything was dangerous!

His parents and Dr. Mabi thought he was crazy. They all knew he was set to have a safe and prosperous life as an academician. Instead, he was hell-bent on playing with his life. He was able to argue the merits of becoming a fighter pilot. It would give him skills he could use later in his life as a researcher he didn't have now. For example, he could pilot his ship to wherever he wanted to go and he could defend himself as needed. 

Dr. Mabi had friends in the military but ultimately, if he ever found himself alone in a dangerous situation he would more than likely get squished before he even knew what happened. They finally came around to his point of view, it was just the military academy after all. Once he finished there, he could start his real work. Of course, Boval failed to mention he planned on joining the Imperial Army right after graduation. He thought he would leave that surprise for later!

"Boval, have you seen my Binonical Expression in Free Gene Interplay book? I've looked everywhere for it," Dr. Mabi said. 

"I have seen it, sir," he said.

"Really? where," Dr. Mabi asked. 

"Isn't it next to your bookbag over there?" asked Boval. 

Dr. Mabi turned around to a small lounge chair where he placed one of his book bags. Immediately, he saw the book in question. 

"Oh my, is it old age or excitement that's making me so absent-minded?" Dr. Mabi joked.

"It's exciting, you're far too young to go senile," Boval laughed back. 

"Such a smooth-talker, I guess that's how you talked me into signing off on this assinine idea of joining the military academy," he said. 

Boval just smiled quietly, he knew better than to engage in this topic with his teacher. 

"Fine, fine, whatever. I guess it's time to head out!" Dr. Mabi said with gusto. 

Boval grabbed all of the bags the professor packed and was about to carry them out when he noticed something amusing.

"Dr. Mabi, I'm going to have to change my prognosis of your condition from excitement to senility," Boval laughed.

"What do you mean?" Dr. Mabi was confused.

"I mean, you did a very thorough job packing your books for the trip but I don't even see a bag for your underwear and pajamas. Are you going to wear those clothes for the duration of the trip?" Boval laughed. 

Dr. Mabi looked around and realized he forgot to pack everything other than his books and papers.  

"Torp," he said.

His life began as a superhero on Earth. He's died and lived different lives but always utilized strange and mystical technology to continue as a hero. Whether it was a dragon warrior or martial artist on a primitive planet, Lorne was the Invincible Hero. 

Born into a new life as an Elf Lorne, now called Boval, fights as a soldier for his place in a universe. No powers, no Samsara pod, no friends. Alone, mortal, living a completely alien life.

They didn't have time to find their team a name yet as they had to go to their lessons.
Samuel: "What Subject do you have this morning Jason?"
Jason: "We third-year students have martial art training every day for two hours, so I will start by that" he thought for a moment then continued "After that, I will have spells lessons, so I can choose whatever element I want, I think I might follow Zaho suggestion and learn a few basic fire spells"
Zaho nodded and said: "it would be good if you guys could have all the basics atoms element's level one. Well I will think about a training plan for you guys in the next few weeks"
and just like that, they separated.
Samuel and Lea today's lecture was an introduction to the element's characteristics they had the same teacher as yesterday.
Hellen: "Today kid we will focus on how the characteristics of the different basic elements "
Hellen: "Let's start by talking about the water element who is the most present element in our country, as you may already know, our county's south, west and north borders are connected to the hope ocean and only our east side is connected to Icy mountain range"
"This environment is thus richer of water magical atoms, water is a pretty balanced element: it is used to attack, defend, it can even increase mobility"
as she said that she generated water under her feet and slid a few meters she continued: "it can even restrict your enemies " as she generated a water ball around a student who was trying to impress a girl beside him, the student started to floating inside the water ball not able to control his movement nor to get himself free. as everybody started laughing.
After releasing the student she continued:
"But don't do not underestimate other elements they can do just as much, let's take fire, for example, its attack is more explosive and connects with larger areas most of the time, you can also create fire walls that can defend against water and wind element and those same fire walls can restrict people movement as it would injure them to go threw it"
after that, she gave some examples for wind and earth, the wind is more about mobility and earth more about solid defense.
At 1 pm the course ended as everyone was hungry, as Samuel, Zaho, and Lea were heading to the cantine.
Samuel: "We don't anything this afternoon ?"
Zaho: "I read all the school rules during this summer, to summarise learning magic will vary a lot from student to student, that's why they can't give us fixed time tables." Zaho paused and for few moments as he tried to order his thoughts.
"For the first and second years students, morning is dedicated to basic lessons to have solid foundations, and they will only test our knowledge.to graduate successfully"
"Afternoon is free to practice, you can borrow spells books in the library or train the spell you learned in specials areas, there should be also a teacher available in classrooms few classrooms if you have any question to ask"
Samuel: "then Jason has also had free practice this afternoon ?"
Zaho: "Yes, starting for third years except for 2 hours of physical training the morning everything else is optional"
Samuel: "Good, let's meet up and choose a name for our team this afternoon"
When they arrived at the cafeteria they found Jason there waiting for them with a brown haired and brown eyed boy the boy was a little fat and was wearing a bright green robe. 
Jason: "We've been waiting for you to eat! we are starving!" he then pointed at the little fat guy laying on the ground next to him and said: " This is Albert he is also a third-year and my best friend in the academy"
"Grrrr ..." sound of stomach rumbling could be heard
While eating Samuel, Zaho and Lea learned that Albert was a noble that came from the country at their east, Ichole country, his father was a count there, and he was sent to the academy as a war was about to start in their county.
Zaho invited him to their team just like he did for Lea and Albert accepted happily
Albert: "thanks, guys! if you need help or don't understand something you can ask me, I focus on earth element and water element"
Jason laughed and explained: "you have nothing to teach them especially to Zaho, you could even ask him question if you don't understand something"
Albert looked strangely at Jason but didn't understand what he meant by this, how could he ask a first-year student for help ? was there an inside joke.
it only took half an hour to elude the mister has his status board got activated
Alber & Lea "AHHHHHHH, what is this !"
Lea: "I... I ... I can see writing floating in front of me"
Albert: "Me ...Me too !"
They looked at each other and noticed Samuel and Jason laughing in front of them of their exaggerated reaction, not even ashamed as they reacted the same yesterday.
Albert and Lea questioned them and after discovering the use of the System they both got excited
Zaho: "Let's start our team first meeting then! before choosing a team name I need to explain to you a few things."
"My master gave me a mission to accomplish before going down the mountain, but this mission has no time constraint that's why I rather build a team and go on an adventure with them than doing it alone"
Hearing the word adventure light shone is the four kids listening to him got excited!
Lea: "Do you mean we will register in the adventure guild after graduating ?" clearly excited by this news.
Zaho didn't know yet that an adventure guild already existed but it seemed a pretty good idea and cover so he nodded.
Albert, Samuel, and Jason didn't seem to have any objection either as they were smiling.
Zaho continued: "So let's decide on a name for our team"
Albert: "This team objective seems related to your master's mission so how about Wishes of Masters ?"
Lea: "No!! we are going on an adventure it should be less restrained like the five heroes of eternity "
Zaho: "The team might get bigger in the future" 
Lea nodded and started thinking of another team name.
Jason: "This team leader is definitely Zaho! we could go with something simple as Zaho team"
Zaho refuted as he explained the objective of this team was not to be alone and he preferred something that represented all their current and future teammates.
At that moment Samuel said: "how about Trusted?"
Hearing the name he proposed everybody stopped searching for a new one!
Lea: "I like this team name !"
Albert: "This name will help us as we register as adventurers!"
Jason: "Haha! my brother is pretty smart isn't he !"
Zaho patted Samuel's shoulders and said: "Good job finding such a good name it represents the spirit of the team! every member is trusted, and the team as a whole is a trustworthy team that can complete all the missions that it undertakes!"

This story is about Zaho, an unfortunate kid that got the choice to either live or die.
The choice he made gave him a lot of suffering but he never gave up and did his best to learn everything his master taught him.
After his training, he decided to start his journey in order to find what he lacks the most, Friends!

Jam was recognized in the library by the receptionist, and allowed to go to the third and fourth floor to pick out his two techniques. On the third floor, Jam picked up a technique simply called Intent. 

[Intent: An auxiliary technique that suppresses and applies pressure on others through the user's killing intent. The effects of the suppression can range from decreasing the combat prowess of the target(s) to directly killing the target should their cultivation be weak enough relative to the user. The technique's effectiveness is governed by the user's cultivation base, level of killing intent, and Demon Dao level — Maximum effect on Saint Masters and below]

After picking the Demonic Technique in the third floor, Jam moved up to the fourth floor, and started searching for a Yang technique. Because the Library was shaped like a pyramid there would be less books the higher up you went. 

The fourth floor was the highest floor in the library and had very few books in its own right; there wouldn't be many books for Yang techniques, that Jam could pick from. Luckily, Jam found a skill he liked. 

[Solar Upheaval: Incorporates Yang Dao aspects and energy into already existing skills. This technique allows the user to gain access to the Yang Dao aspects of Purification, Light, Heat, Hardness, and Virtue — 0% | Evolvable]

The Yang Dao was very similar to the Dao of Fire, as they shared two aspects, the aspect of Heat and Purification. However, while these aspects were technically the same, the differed slightly. 

The Yang Dao would push these two aspects to the extreme. For example, Heat for the Dao of fire, could be interpreted to be hot or cold, and some Fire Dao practitioners would use a cold flame. However, for the Yang Dao, the concept of  "coldness" didn't exist.

With these two techniques picked out, Jam headed back to the receptionist to pick up the jade slips for these techniques. These techniques weren't like the free techniques, that had their respective jade slips in the little book introducing the techniques. Jam would have to take the introductory book for his Demonic and Yang techniques to the receptionist, where he would then be given the jade slips for each of the techniques.

Jam won't back down stairs and received his techniques. He bade farewell to the receptionist and headed for the core disciples classroom. Evangeline told Jam she would be waiting for him to pick up his technique outside the library, and when Jam came out, the two of them headed to their classroom.

On the way to their classroom Jam and Evangeline saw Rina. Jam shouted at Rina and after some formalities, Rina was added to Jam's party.  Rina was still not perfectly acclimated to Jared becoming Evangeline, but that didn't influence her too much in the way she behaved around Evangeline. 

As they were walking and chatting, Rina suddenly asked Jam "So… what's your IGT?"

"What?" Jam had no idea what Rina was talking about.

"You know, an Internet GamerTag." Rina responded.

"Sorry, I still have no idea what you're talking about." Jam was still confused.

"Do you have a computer?" Rina asked.

"Not here. But I did have one back where I lived, before coming to the academy." Jam confirmed.

"Have you ever used the computer to play games on the internet?"

"Nope." Jam only used the computer in Woody's house to search for the most optimal training methods, or other things related to cultivation.

Rina face-palmed herself before saying "You should get a computer and make an IGT, so you can play with us on The Cloud"

"Who is "us" and what is "The Cloud?"" 

"You might be the only person in the academy without a computer to play games with, so when I say "us" I'm referring to all the other core disciples. I mean seriously, even Evangeline has an IGT and plays games every once in a while. The Cloud is just the name of the system where people go to play game on the internet, from all over the Mortal Plane." Rina was trying to be friendly with Jam by having him join her friends list.

Jam turned to Evangeline to see her avoiding his gaze, as much as she possibly could.

Jam faced Rina and said "Fine, but won't this take away time from our cultivation?"

"Yeah, but cultivation is boring and dull." This time it was Evangeline who spoke up.

"Well, what kind of games do you play on The Cloud?"

"Lets see. You can play the traditional games, where you look at your computer's monitor, or buy a virtual reality capsule and play games in, well, virtual reality. There are RPG, Action, Adventure, Cooking, Fantasy, History, Romance, … , and even Card games and Board games!"

"That sounds stupid. Why would I play a dumb game, when reality is much more fascinating. We are literally cultivators! Our lives are literally chuck-full of action, adventure, fantasy, and so on."

"Yeah, but it's hard work, and the action, adventure, and fantasy has to wait for you become powerful through the endlessly repetitive training. Don't you want to have a taste of what being super powerful is like, without having to go through the trouble of cultivating and training to reach that level?"

"The would be nice, but every moment I spend pretending to be almighty, is a moment wasted from cultivation that can actually make me that strong!" 

There was a long pause after Jam said this, and both Rina and Evangeline were looking at him, in a way that made him uncomfortable. To recover from this apparent blunder, Jam said "However, you're right in saying that cultivation is repetitive, dull, and boring,... I'll get a computer, make an IGT, and play with you guys when I'm relaxing."

Since there was still time before the class started, Jam's party went to the Hall of Affairs, to buy Jam a computer and set up his IGT. The Hall of Affairs was a place that sold almost anything to a disciple of the academy, so long as buyer had enough money. 

With Jam's wealth, buying a state-of-the-art computer and virtual capsule combo was not an issue. After buying his computer, Jam made an IGT before leaving the Hall of Affairs. Jam had no idea what his IGT should be, so he asked Evangeline and Rina for their opinion. Oddly enough, they both told him the same thing "Your IGT should be your Daoist name."

"I don't have a Daoist name."

"Well make one up then." Evangeline responded

"Is that how that works? Aren't you supposed to get your Daoist name from your reputation?"

"Nah, you can just call yourself by whatever Daoist name you want."

"Mhmm..." Jam thought about it for a minute, when all of a sudden a name just popped into his mind 'Purple Sunshine!'

This Daoist name was totally random, and had nothing to do with the Daos Jam studied, his personality, or really, anything about him. But after the name appeared in his mind, Jam couldn't forget it, and decided his Daoist name should be Purple Sunshine.

Jam typed "Purple Sunshine" into the computer and confirmed this name to be his IGT.

Evangeline and Rina were surprised with Jam's choice, but the matter of one's Daoist name was up to themselves, so they didn't say anything. They took this opportunity to tell Jam their Daoist name, since he would have to know anyways when they went to the Titanic Beast Mountain Range.

Evangeline's Daoist name was Returning Void, and Rina's Daoist name was Shinestar. 

Daoist names would be used when cultivators left their sect — or academy — and interacted with foreign cultivators. Jam would come to know members of other sects by their Daoist name until he reached a close enough relationship to know that person's real name. It was a way for people to recognize cultivators by their own merits, instead of their ancestry.

After Jam finished setting up his computer, virtual reality capsule, IGT, and Cloud account, he stored everything he bought in his Spatial Storage Dimension. Jam's group then left the Hall of Affair, and walked to their classroom.

Jam's group finally made it to the classroom. There, they waited for Cecily to come and pick them up. Cecily would take the core disciples into her flying vessel, to reach the Titanic Beast Mountain Range. 

The Titanic Beast Mountain Range is outside of Yhamnigh. In other words, the core disciples would be traveling through space to reach their destination.

One by one, the rest of the core disciples entered the classroom. They passed time by chatting amongst one another. Evangeline and Arnold were the only two core disciples that didn't participate in the chatting. Evangeline still didn't treat the rest of the core disciples as equals, and Arnold was cultivating the aspect of Self, until Cecily entered the classroom. 

It was seven in the morning when Cecily reached the classroom. Cecily looked into the classroom, and after confirming that everyone was present said "Good. Seeing that everyone's already here, let's go."

Follow the adventures of a boy named Jam on his journey to gain a purpose. Every story has a beginning, as well as an end. Some even have continuity. It's always there, they're always there. Even if some story do not start with a beginning.

Shitty philosophy, I don't even understand it myself.

My name isn't that important, at least for both of us-you and me. Because a dying man need no small talk nor introduction.

As far as I can remember, my not-quite-short life wasn't full of sunshine. Oh, it wasn't full of misery or suffering either. It's just that I, quite often, picked up the less-wrong choice.

Not the right, not the wrong, but the less-wrong one. Mathematically speaking: neither ten nor negative ten, I often picked up negative one instead.

Not quite bad I'd say, but not quite right either.

Because ten times negative one is equal negative ten. The shit was...accumulating.

Seriously, it wasn't that bad, until the metaphorical dam full and broke. There's no agony or something, just the fact that the entire world crumbled in front of me.

No illness, no tragedy, no dramatic music, and my not-quite-satisfying life came to an end.

This nameless man, who had yet engraved his name on history's pages, ended his adventure on this world, none shall remember his name bar select few, none shall grieve nor be overjoyed bar select few.

The buzzing sound of crowd brought me into the mortal realm. Opening my eyes, I saw an owl pecked me, tried to give me something.

Hogwarts acceptance letter.

Why did it seem so familiar? I didn't really understand, my head's more than a little fuzzy.

I didn't exactly remember what happened or how it could happened that way. By the time I got semblance of awareness back, the one introduced me as Madam (or Professor) Hooch had paid for my room at Leaky Cauldron after finished guiding me in getting school supplies.

What the fuck just happened?

I took a look at a wooden stick in my pocket. It was crafted in such shape that one could properly grip it on a hand. A…wand?

'Lumos', light, lit, or whatever it was. A random thought that suddenly passed on my mind. It's merely a thought, an image of...light. However, I felt a slight pull inside my chest and the wooden stick's tip lit by a ball of light.

Wait a minute!

Wooden stick. A wand!? A fucking wand!?

Rush of memories came. Hogwarts. Acceptance letter. Hooch. Leaky Cauldron. Diagon Alley. Gringotts. Ollivander.

Holy shit! This is Potterverse; the world of Harry Potter, The-Boy-Who-Can't-Fucking-Die, and his nemesis, The Bald Lord, He-Who-Has-No-Nose, Voldemort.

I don't know whether I was lucky or fucked.

The rest of summer passed quickly. I, as a faithful follower of 'war preparation is one of the most important things to ensure victory', took some odd jobs.

Why? Because I got no money.

Hooch paid for my entire stay time and food expenses in Leaky Cauldron, but she left me without any pocket money. This world, like any other, revolved around money. Money was an important and universal resource.

Money. And power.

I helped Tom, the barman, on some jobs; dish-washing, table-cleaning, and such. In return he gave me some pocket change and taught me some household charms.

I also practice three popular spells in my free time, lumos charm, leviosa charm, and summoning charm. Wandless if necessary. The first two were useful for getting used to feel my magic. The third?

Useful to get non-magical mundane British currency. They are scattered through every corners of London. I gathered enough of them to buy several books -empty books-, blank papers, and some pens. It'd be useful later.

Knowledge is power, lots knowledge means lots of power.

Being mundane in origin, and not used in class-related stuffs, other students would ignore my books. My future research notes for me to survive.

Knowledge is power, power guarantees survival.

And finally September 1st, the D-day, came. Here goes nothing.

I packed up, said goodbye to Tom, and head to the station.

You wake up even before the sun rises — without a trace of the alcohol from the night before. You decide to take another morning run, and this time you plan to run a bit farther.

You decide to wait a bit for the sun to get a little bit higher before setting off. You leave the axe but you still bring your borrowed dagger. 

You make your way to the north gate, tracing the same path as before and greeting the same people. The people you pass by seem less suspicious after seeing you twice in a row.

You see the same guard from yesterday morning at the gate. He waves.

"I heard you had a bit of an adventure with Trent," he says. "A rogue wizard and some hounds?"

"Hell hounds," you clarify, "and a demon"

The guard seems a bit surprised, a demon was not something most men could face and live.

"Trent killed the wizard," you explain, "and the demon."

The guard nods. Eomer and Trent seem to have an almost mythic reputation in the town. Giving Trent all the credit for last night seems to be more acceptable than weaving a story that includes a new recruit.

"Run safe," the guard waves you off.

You run outwards for a mile before running the circumference of the town. The nine-mile route gives you a clearer picture of the surroundings: the status of the roads and trails, as well as key terrain features.

You make it a point to focus on your footfalls time and again — honing your blindsight which you learned from your encounter with bats.

You encounter a few merchants setting off early from the town to reach the city. You also see a couple of adventuring parties, going off to fulfill a guild quest.

The sky shows a hint of rain — probably in the afternoon — and you wonder if this would affect your trip with Trent to meet the smith.

You remember to consciously sweat on your last mile, just to keep up appearances as always.

"Good run?" asks the guard as he sees you approaching. Clearly not asking for a detailed response.

"Yes," you reply. "Early appointment," you say as you continue past the guard with a light jog.

You pass by your room to retrieve your two axes and then head off to Trent's house. You are uncertain whether you should knock, so you stand outside for a bit.

"Why are you standing there at this hour?" yells Trent, showing signs of being woken. "Meet me at the guild at noon, we'll be seeing the smith after lunch.

You hand him the newly-bought axe and he promptly takes it.

He tests the edge as well as the balance of the weapon and he seems satisfied.

"Good axe," he says. "Noon at the guild," he leaves with one last reminder.

You leave Trent's home and spend a couple of hours browsing the nearby shops and grabbing something to eat. 

The shopkeepers are mostly friendly — especially the ones you call by name. They seem to recall you being with Eomer's party from the other day and assumed they were introduced. 

You managed to get a couple of daggers, similar to the one lent to you, for 4 gold in one shop — and in another shop, you obtained 50-feet of rope for 10 gold. Together with the food you sampled, everything cost you 15 gold — leaving you with five.

You managed to get directions to the local bookstores from your conversations with the shopkeepers — and with a few hours to kill, you decide to pay it a visit.

The store was located well away from the general stores and like Glenn's, it had glass windows and seemed to cater more to nobles than ordinary people.

You enter the store — the sound of ringing bells attached to the door heralding your arrival.
Different kinds of bookshelves line the walls and the center of the store holds a couple of well-made wooden tables. 

"Buying or selling?" asks the shopkeeper without looking, seemingly busy with his reading. He looks up and sees you, frowning at your appearance — particularly at your plain clothing.

"I'd like to see some books," you say as you approach the man.

"The cheapest book I sell costs five gold," he says with a hint of disdain. "The more expensive ones can cost hundreds of gold."

"I have gold," you reply, taking out your last five gold coins. "Five gold for a couple of hours of reading — and I promise to be careful with the books."

He grasps the gold as if he was weighing them.

"Everything but the books on the ivory case," he finally says, "and make sure to be careful with the bindings."

He goes back to his reading.

You scan the books on display, finally settling on one pertaining to the history of the kingdom. 
The language is similarly archaic, but the texts are still somewhat familiar.

It seems the town you're in is governed by the Raelion Kingdom, with Istvan the fourth as the reigning king.

You take short cursory glances at the pages, absorbing the information contained in the book with utmost efficiency.

You put the book back to its place and reach for a second one — which is followed by a third and then a fourth….

In just two hours you manage to read and absorb the information from 18 books — with topics in history, local lore, magical flora and fauna, geography, and even a few stories of adventure.

You place the final book on its stand and signal the shopkeeper that you'll be leaving. 

He nods in acknowledgment not bothering to lead you out or check your things.

You noticed he was observing you at certain times and probably judged you weren't the type who would steal.

You head to the door but change your mind — instead, you approach the man reading at the counter.

"I heard you can get books on magic," you say to the man. "I would like to buy a few, if it's possible?"

"Those books cost at least 20 gold," he answers. "The more expensive ones cost more than a hundred gold."

"I can afford that much," you proclaim.

"They're not much use anyway," he advises. "You'll still need an actual mage to guide you in your studies — so it's better to apprentice yourself to one if you really want to learn the art."

"I'll take that into consideration," you say, "but I'll still purchase the books if you have them."

"I have two of them right now," he offers. "20 and 50 gold, they're yours if you have the money."

You shake your head.

"My gold is with the guild," you say. "And I don't know if I could get back in time with my trip to the smith."

"Hmmm," he seems to finally piece things together. 

"You're Eomer's new recruit," he says, startling you for a moment. "Word gets around in this small town"

"The only smith worth taking a trip to is Torm," he explains noting your confusion, "and you'll need Trent to get to see the bastard."

You nod and smile, impressed at his deductive skills and how rumor and information fly within this small town.

"Caleb," you introduce yourself, extending a hand.

"Everett," he replies, raising a hand in greeting but not taking the handshake.

"I can't hold any of the books for you," he says, "but I can send word when one comes in — for a small fee of course."

"That'll be enough," you reply. "I'll return with the money in a day or two — hopefully you'll still have the books." 

"Hopefully," he says with no hint of commitment whatsoever.

You raise a hand, signaling that you'll be going.

Everett merely goes back to his reading — paying you no more heed.

It's now close to noon after that two hours at the bookshop. You decide to head to the guild for your meeting with Trent. With nothing in your pouch or pocket — you'll also need some of the gold which you deposited for safe-keeping.

You arrive earlier than Trent, finding no trace of him in the guild. 

You approach the notice boards to see a few of the listed quests — just to see what kind of tasks the guild requires.

There seems to be an ongoing bounty for goblins and orcs — 1 and 3 gold for each, with the right ear serving as proof of the kill.

You see a few escort jobs listed with a few crossed out, presumably after the employer gathered enough men.

The guild offers an assortment of quests from gathering materials to investigations. It seems it rarely runs out of jobs to give its adventurers.

After browsing through the notice boards you take a seat in one of the chairs in a free table.

Pretty soon you spot the familiar form of Trent climbing up the stairs. 

He takes a seat at the table.

"Perhaps this isn't the best time to meet the smith," he starts. "I'm pretty banged-up from yesterday and I could use a day of rest."

"Of course, of course," you swiftly reply. "Why did you even come over? You could have just sent word through one of your sons," you say with a trace of concern.

"I'm not that banged up boy," he laughs. "Besides, I'm here for me gold."

You nod in understanding.

"I met the bookseller, Everett," you start. "He seems to be acquainted with you and Eomer."

"So you met that wily bastard," Trent says with a hint of irritation. "That bookseller is no simple person," he says with a tone of warning.

"He is a mage — and a battlemage at that."

"I didn't realize that," you say honestly. "He didn't feel the least bit…" you fumble for the word, "…magical."

"Everett was one of the kingdom's mightiest battlemage," Trent goes on, seemingly starting a long story. "He took part in multiple battles, before suddenly deciding to just quit for no reason after a few years of service."

"The king didn't take his decision lightly, fearing Everett would go to the other side. Alas, Everett just took his savings and opened a bookshop — never practicing magic ever again."

"There seems to be more to that tale," you press the old veteran.

"Indeed, indeed," he answers. "But they are not my stories to tell."

He gets up from his chair and heads to one of the counters — most likely to get his gold. He spends a couple of minutes discussing something with the attendant before he returns to the table.

He returns with a small pouch in his hand, clearly not getting the whole amount from last night.

"Frost wolves have been spotted near the forest," he says. "Lately, they've been venturing out of the forest and a few caravans have been attacked."

"The guild is offering an additional 10 gold for each wolf — but we can get to them after we're done getting you a proper weapon."

"Won't the caravans be in danger?" you ask. In your mind, any delay in stomping out a confirmed threat could lead to dire consequences.

"The next caravan won't be passing for a week," he explains, "waiting a day or two shouldn't be a problem."

Trent rises from his chair.

"Tell the others to prepare for wolf-hunting in the coming days," he says. "We'll meet at dawn at the southern gate to see Torm about your weapon."

You wake up in a strange world where magic corrupts both men and beasts. You find loyal companions who would stand by your side, weapons that would break the sky, and the makings of an army that would shake the entire world.

Still having some daylight to burn Asher decided to explore the city, after all learning from books were great but learning from experience is even more efficient
His face returned to it's normal blank expression as if the excitement on Asher's face earlier were nothing more than illusions
Walking through the limestone paved road, he immerse himself in the architecture of the buildings around him, the intricacies of these feats of artistry will make even the best architects they have on earth jealous
Taking a stroll through the business streets he marveled at the variety of stalls there was
They were all merchants selling magic items, jewelry, everyday objects and more
Detecting a sweet aroma in the air Asher decided to take a leisure walk through the area with thousands of food stalls
The food they were selling was not like anything he had ever seen before 
There's a type of skewer that was called "dia" and it was made from a meat Asher had never heard of before covered in barbecue sauce that gave it a seductive smell, and there was another stall selling a food similar to ramen on earth but the difference was that the noodles were black instead of yellow
All that was cooked using magic or magical tools which cement the dependence this world had on magic
The food was certainly tempting but in his current financial state Asher couldn't afford anything and cursed himself for that
Studying the behavior of the citizens next he found it to be quite surprising, the people of union city lived a very free life almost as the hierarchical system that they ran by was nothing more than a lie
Asher saw other orphans like him being treated as equal by everyone, a stark contrast to the way they treat orphans everywhere else
The people were kind and caring helping and caring for each other like some big family, and all of this happiness and equality could be attributed to the current ruling body
But Asher had a different way of thinking
(This environment may look perfect and in some ways it is but it still has it's flaws after all it was built and maintained by mortals and no matter how hard they try mortals can never be infallible, I know this better than anyone)
(But then again, it wouldn't hurt to enjoy the bright side of this city, there's no need to expose myself to the mistakes of humanity unnecessarily, after all a wise man once said "perfection and happiness are ultimately how you interpret it")
Getting absorbed into the illusion of perfection the city creates again Asher explored for a few more hours before heading back to the orphanage when dusk was setting in
"Hahhh!!"
What greeted Asher after stepping into the orphanage building was the feeling of a tiny hand karate chopping him in the back of his head
"Ouch"
Not interested enough to even give a real response, a half-hearted sound came out of Asher's mouth 
"Where were you? You're so mean!! Leaving me hear alone with that old man"
Airi said loudly displaying her emotions bare for all to see which was very out of character for her
"Well you seem to be in a good mood"
Poking fun at her unusual behavior, Asher said sarcastically
"Don't try to tease your way out of this, thanks to you I had to spend the entire day memorizing words and trying to write, do you know how hard it is to write when your hands are this tiny?"
"I can only imagine, anyway I don't understand why you're so upset, I mean it's not like you have anything better to do"
"That's not the problem, the problem is that old man he's so strict and scary all the time, I had to memorize that entire huge dictionary just to make him leave"
"You memorized that entire 2434 page book?"
Raising his eyebrow in slight disbelief Asher said
"Well only most of it but yes, you're not the only genius in the family, for your information that old man also checked my stats and I have an intelligence level of 12"
"Wow that's amazing sis"
Trying to talk in a less emotionally deprived tone but failing miserably Asher praised his sister
"I would prefer if you were a little more excited but feel free to keep praising me"
Making a satisfied expression Airi had already forgotten about why she was scolding her brother in the first place
"Okay so what about you big brother? What have you done today?"
"...reading"
"About what?"
"Magic"
"What? Since when were you a bona-fide magician?"
"(Yawns)...no clue"
Feeling tired from his little adventure today Asher just wanted to take a nap as soon as possible but there was still something he needed to do
"Ahhh...no fair I wanna learn magic too"
"Maybe tomorrow, right now would you kindly please go back to our room? Big brother has things he needs to do"
"Umm...fine"
After walking his sister to their room Asher made his way to the building's large courtyard 
"Now let's see if what those black books told me is true"
And so sitting down and meditating Asher began to tap into the mystic arts and accessing his inner powers
