Noku was walking home from the store one day until it all changed. Not remembering anything about how he ended up in some hospital full of Dokas, people who looked somewhat like humans but with blue skin, antennas, and slime coating their skin. Noku runs from the hospital for what seemed like an eternity until he ran into other “humans” only to discover he is in the same time period but on a different world. Follow Noku’s journey as he unravels mysteries of his new world and tries to go home to deliver his groceries to his mom.


"Eeek!" 
After typing the title, Pi danced around with excitement, and high-fived Galaxy to celebrate this great achievement.　　
"Wait a minute!" Zhang Zian could not ignore this. "Pi, do you want to write a novel about pets?"　　
"Eeek!"　　
Pi nodded. It pointed at him, at Galaxy, then at itself, and typed: "A novel about pets, pet shop and everybody."　　
Zhang Zian frowned slightly after hearing this, feeling worried about the future of this novel. He had not read many online novels, but his gut feeling was telling him that nobody would be interested in such a novel. For pet owners, they were so busy cuddling their cats and walking their dogs, how could they have time to read a novel about pets? For those who don't own pets, they were either not interested in pets or even hated pets, not to mention reading a book about pets. The most likely potential readers were those who didn't have time to own pets, but liked pets and wanted to own them remotely in a "cloud". But how many of them could there be?　 
Most online novels were about travelling back in time throughout history or another world, practicing Kongfu, writing poetry, being cool and kicking butts; or about being raised from the dead and returning to a city, then making monkey with prophetic knowledge and dating a few or dozens of women at the same time...He had never heard of a popular online novel about a pet shop.　 
Pi wanted to kill time by writing a novel. He was happy about this. But for a novel with so few potential readers, it may lose confidence after finding out nobody was reading it. It may fall into deeper self-isolation.　 
He knew all this, but he didn't want to kill Pi's enthusiasm at this moment. He smiled reluctantly. "OK. Will I be in it? Then write me as a handsome man."　
"Eeek!"　　
Pi grinned and typed: "This is hard..."　
Zhang Xian said, "I was just kidding. But, Pi, when is the beginning of the story? Now?"
"Eeek."　　


Pi nodded and typed: "From last year, when you just returned to this city."　　
Zhang Zian thought about it. Maybe a good story can be written about it, such as writing him as a hero with hundreds of years of experience, but met his "Waterloo" and died, then was brought back to life. This may interest the readers and meet their expectations. He smiled. "OK. I'll tell you my story before coming to the pet shop... Do you know Wang Qian and Li Kun, the two guys working part-time in the shop? They always believed that I was a big hero during the time of Jindan. In fact, this is true..."

Pi nodded.

Pi typed the title of the first chapter eagerly: Amazing Fate Pet Shop. Then it entered the text: On the magnificent East Coast of the motherland, there was a quiet coastal city called Binhai City. It was beautiful, with a large economy and a slow pace of life. Binhai had an absence of large industrial enterprises, making it a suitable place to live a peaceful life...

Pi gestured to inquire.　
"What the heck is Binhai City?" Zhang Zian pointed out the mistake. "Pi, did you make a mistake? This is not Binhai City, and there is no such a city in China."　
"Eeek."　

Pi pointed at the website instructions for authors to show Zhang Zian. 
He stretched his neck, gazed at the screen and read. "In order to avoid unnecessary complications caused by real information in your work, we suggest the that authors avoid using real information in your writing, such as geographic locations, celebrity names, well-known companies, etc.... What the heck is this?"　
That was why. No wonder Pi used "Binhai City" to replace the real name of the city. He thought Pi was making a mistake.　
"But this city name is too sloppy. You'd better make a note, in case the readers complain about it." Zhang Zian reminded it.

Pi typed: "No. We are not humans, so we can keep our names."　　
After typing, it deleted this extra sentence.　　
This cheered Famous up. "Great! I always wanted to keep my real name, not using an alias nor becoming a substitute of another dog."　　
This is unfair... Dogs have more rights than men these days? Zhang Zian was a little upset in his heart.　
After writing for a while, Pi was stuck, and could not tap any more keys on the keyboard. It scratched its head, read the nameless book for a few minutes, then resumed typing.　


Pi was a slow typist. Before this, it was typing out newspapers, following a template. Chinese was not its mother tongue. It had to design a plot, sketch the Chinese words in its head, then type them out.　　
If it were someone else with the same typing speed, Zhang Zian would not have watched on the side. But Pi was the one typing, and the story was about himself. He watched with great patience, going downstairs occasionally for business.

The detail that Pi described were things that he never told anybody else. He had even forgotten some of them himself. He lived everything in first person, but Pi recorded from an objective, third-person perspective, just like an invisible camera floating around him, recording every tiny detail.　　
"I absolutely didn't have dark eye circles." He pointed out.　
Pi typed "Yes" with certainty, then deleted it. It waved the nameless book, suggesting the nameless book's record could never be wrong.　　
Zhang Zian didn't know how to defend himself. He knew that he may have dark eye circles then after a few sleepless nights in the hospital, and being exhausted with the funeral. He might have very dark eye circles, but he couldn't see it himself. 
After the debut of Little Celery in Pi's writing, he laughed and said: "If Wang Yaning reads this novel, my obsession with young girls would be made known... Oh, Pi, apart from the names and locations, is everything else real?"　　
Pi thought about it and typed: "70% real and 30% unreal, just like 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms'."　　
Zhang Zian laughed silently. Pi certainly read the four masterpieces.　
After finishing the first chapter, with a 2079 word count, Pi uploaded it with satisfaction.

I said aloud, with no one but myself to hear. Realizing that all was hopeless, I checked the address on the later, curious why the old man wanted me to go there. "Why the heck would you want me to go there? What even is "UNO" anyways?" I asked myself, aloud again. God, that is such a bad habit! I pressed on the link to go to the website. "UNO tournament (official)," I read around, "Is being held at 10/4 (tomorrow, now) so don't be late! Check your calendars, and book your flights now, we don't want you to regret missing such a fun event! We will explain everything there, so don't worry about the rules for now. But don't bring anything besides personal belongings, and we expect you to follow the law! Oh, then the page ends. Why make a website for something that has nothing but an issue listed?" But then I spotted something that said, "Sign up here", and under that it said, "about 5,000 people signed up" and I couldn't help but think, 'Dang, how popular is this UNO thing? Is it a sport or something?' To confirm my suspicions, I looked up UNO, and the top result said, "UNO is a card game where the last person to get rid of their cards wins the game." "UNO IS a game, but a card game? Weird, really.... what does the old man have to do with this?" I said aloud, again. The letter on my lap, I slid it back onto the neat table, not wanting to have it on my lap anymore, still holding my phone to my face. "Wait, didn't it say, I ONLY HAVE ONE DAY TO GET THERE? Crap, I need to pack, now!" I hustled out of the dining room into the bedroom, which was neat and tidy, opened the closet door, hurriedly stashed clothes into the suitcase/bag, went on my phone (again) and bought a plane ticket (thank you old man for leaving money!). Then I called a taxi to drop me off at the airport. 

When the taxi arrived, I just told him I was going alone, and after a few questions, I confirmed with him I was 14 years old. Throughout the drive, I was silent, unlike some people who just like to talk to the taxi drivers nonstop, for the conversation. I just rested my head against the window, not minding the vibrations from the rocky road. I arrived at the airport in a mere few minutes, and barely managed to catch the plane before it flew.

Out of breath, I rushed to sit in my assigned seat, saying "Excuse me!" to everyone as I passed by. I hope no one thinks I'm a kid. That would be the worst! I sat down, next to a person, which looked a lot taller than me, but still your average height. Sadly, the guy I sat next to went on the chatty side of the spectrum. 

"Hello, did you lose your mom?" the boy asked, but without waiting for an answer, he went on, "Are you lost? Is that a plane ticket? How old are you? What's your name?" Answering his questions in order, I said, "No, No, Yes, 14, and Yuno." Then adding a questions of my own, I asked, "Who are you, you rude boy? Also, shouldn't you not be talking to strangers?" "Well, my name is Jake, thank you, and I just really wanted someone to talk to?" the boy said, looking hurt. I gave him a skeptical look, then asked, "Why don't you have a parent with you? I mean, even if you ARE probably older than 15." "Oh, well I AM EXACTLY 15 years old, my birthday was 3 days ago. And well, I guess I didn't want to go with a parent, you know? Limited freedom, yadda yadda yadda! Why are you alone, anyways?" he said, gazing curiously at me. "Oh, same reason!" I lied, hoping I wasn't being suspicious. Then he was the one to give me a skeptical look, and I quickly tried to change the subject. 

"What IS UNO anyways?" I asked, knowing I sounded stupid, but I didn't have enough time to look it up on my phone before I left the house. "You SERIOUSLY went to join an UNO TOURNAMENT without knowing what the flip it is?" Jake asked me, genuinely suprised at my question. "Welll..... now that I think about it, yeah, probably!" I mumbled a little loudly, but still quiet. Jake did the facepalm motion and then said, "I'm pretty tired right now, I'll explain it to you whenever we get there!" And so, after that consultation, neither one of us spoke to eachother after that, you could only hear the buzzing of other people's conversations. 

I took the seat closest to the aisle, so I had to look around Jake to see the clouds outside. They were white, and puffy, looks like it won't rain today! I realized I brought my phone but there was nothing to do, and I also had severe motion sickness, so I just fell asleep, not wanting to think about anything. And so, I had a nice, dreamless, sleep...

Aku berhasil menenangkan diriku di depan wastafel, lalu membasuh wajah sekali lagi dan membiarkannya basah. Kurasa aku membutuhkan sensasi dingin dari air untuk mendinginkan kepalaku. Mungkin jika aku sedang di rumah, aku akan memilih untuk mandi saja.
Aku mengumpulkan keberanianku saat menaiki tangga. Aku akan mengabaikan Astro andai nanti dia membahas hal itu lagi.
Astro masih duduk di lantai di atas karpet, dengan laptop di meja di hadapannya. Dia menyodorkan handuk yang tersampir di bahunya padaku saat aku sampai di sisinya.
Aku menerimanya dan mengeringkan wajahku dengan handuk itu, ada aroma khas sampo green tea menguar dari sana. Aku tahu aroma itu karena dia sering meminjamkan topinya padaku sejak bertahun lalu. Sebetulnya aku ingin bertanya apakah handuk itu benar miliknya hanya untuk memastikan dugaanku, tapi aku membatalkannya. Mengingat kejadian yang baru saja terjadi, akan memalukan untukku jika dia mengakuinya.
Aah kurasa aku harus lebih berhati-hati....
Bagaimanapun dia adalah laki-laki. Entah bagaimana tiba-tiba saja aku bisa membayangkan wajah masam ayahku andai ayah tahu aku begitu dekat dengan laki-laki seperti ini.
"Thank you." ujarku sambil mengembalikan handuknya. 
Astro menerimanya dan menaruh handuknya di meja lalu menepuk karpet di sisinya untuk memintaku duduk di sana. "Sini, liat tampilan website kamu yang baru."
Sepertinya aku harus mengambil jarak. Aku memutuskan duduk di sofa saja. Lagi pula jarak dari sofa ke laptop tak terlalu jauh, aku masih bisa melihat laptopnya dengan jelas.
"Gimana?" aku bertanya untuk mengalihkan pikiranku. Memikirkan aromanya membuat kepalaku berdenyut.
Astro menatapku dengan alis yang mengernyit mengganggu, tapi aku mengabaikannya. Aku memfokuskan diriku ke laptop di depannya, yang sudah menampilkan tampilan sebuah website.
Tampilan layar belakangnya adalah perpaduan antara ungu lembut dan hijau. Dengan ilustrasi sebuah buket bunga lavender di tengahnya. Ikon menu, font dan tata letak hurufnya sama sekali berbeda dengan websiteku yang sudah ada, dengan tambahan menu berbahasa Inggris bagi orang luar negeri yang tertarik ingin memesan.
Aku sama sekali tak tahu bagaimana Astro membuatnya, tapi tampilan website itu terlihat cantik sekali. Aku sangat menyukainya.
"Kamu bikin desainnya sendiri?" aku bertanya. Aku memang tak bisa membuat sebuah website, tapi aku bisa menebak desain website seperti ini tak akan ada di template website manapun.
Astro menggumam mengiyakan, "Kamu suka?"
"Aku suka. Ini bagus banget!"
"Iya dong. Kan aku yang bikin." ujar Astro yang sedang membanggakan dirinya sendiri. "Gimana kalau aku minta ganti pembayaran?"
"Maksud kamu?"
"Dari pada kamu bikinin aku sarapan dua bulan, gimana kalau kamu nemenin aku ke resort minggu depan?"
"Buat apa aku nemenin kamu ke resort?" aku bertanya karena aku mulai mengingat kunjungan kami terakhir kali saat aku merasa kami sedang berkencan. Perasaan ini membuatku sedikit gugup.
"Kamu ga mau?"
"Maksudku ... kamu ke resort pasti punya urusan. Urusan kamu kan aku ga ngerti. Kita ke sana bukan buat dinner lagi, kan?" ujarku yang sedang mencoba mencari alasan untuk menghindar.
"Aku mau minta tolong sama kamu buat ngasih saran desain resort yang baru. Aku baru aja mikir mau ganti suasana."
"Kamu kan bisa sewa arsitek profesional buat itu."
"Iya aku bisa, tapi aku mau bikin jadi sesuai selera kamu."
Aku berpikir lama sekali sebelum bicara karena aku sama sekali tak mengerti, "Kenapa harus sesuai seleraku?"
"Kamu punya selera yang bagus. Aku suka sama selera kamu."
Astro membuatku tak bisa membalas kalimatnya. Selera manusia adalah sebuah kecenderungan. Aku tak bisa menyalahkannya atau memaksanya menyukai selera yang bukan kecenderungannya.
"Bukannya kamu masih ada persiapan lomba robotik?" aku bertanya untuk mencoba peruntunganku, mungkin dia akan berubah pikiran.
"Aku bisa ijin sehari."
Bodohnya aku. Hal itu sangat mungkin terjadi. Dengan kalimat persuasifnya yang biasa, kurasa pembimbingnya akan memberikan izin kalaupun dia meminta tak akan menghadiri pertemuan selama seminggu.
Aku menarik napas panjang dan menghembuskannya perlahan. Kurasa aku akan menyerah kali ini. Menang dari Astro adalah hal yang langka.
"Sehari aja kan?"
"Aku bisa nambah jadi dua hari kalau kamu mau." ujarnya sambil memberiku senyum menggodanya yang biasa.
Aah laki-laki ini benar-benar menyebalkan....

Aku membuka mataku pagi itu dengan perasaan yang aneh. Saat aku menyadari diriku akan terbangun beberapa waktu lalu, aku merasa sedang menghirup aroma sampo Astro selama beberapa saat. Aroma segar green tea, yang entah kenapa, aku menyukai aroma itu.
Astaga ... apa yang baru saja kupikirkan?
Aku memeluk bantal untuk menutupi wajahku dan berharap aroma itu pergi, tapi memaksa diriku bangkit sedetik kemudian. Terbaring di tempat tidur sepertinya membuatku memikirkan hal-hal yang aneh. Kurasa aku harus berusaha mencari kegiatan apapun yang bisa kulakukan untuk mengalihkan pikiran.
Aku mengedarkan pandanganku dan mulai mengelap deretan foto di dinding di atas tempat tidurku. Berbagai foto tertempel di sana. Fotoku bersama ayah, bunda, Fara, dan Danar bertahun yang lalu di depan rumah kami di Bogor. Juga ada fotoku bersama Mayang dan Denada. Yang paling banyak tertempel di sana adalah foto pemandangan dan sembarang objek yang terlihat artistik yang diambil Astro dengan kamera DSLR-nya selama perjalanan kami saat liburan tiba.
Entah kenapa foto itu mengingatkanku pada aroma green tea yang menempel di hidungku pagi ini. Kurasa aku benar-benar harus melakukan aktivitas lain.
Aku menghela napas dan duduk di depan meja komputerku. Aku mengecek handphone dan mendapat pesan masuk dari grup dekorasi kelas yang terbentuk beberapa waktu lalu.

"This is the man you claim to have been the best?" asked he

"Well, in my hometown of Idio, everyone was dumb. But I can deduce fantastically if I was serious as fuck"

"Very well, show me once more, but be serious"

"You deduced I have a blind wife because of my ring, the perfume that I emitted was of a female's because her scent clings to me everytime we hug, which is every day. The ring and the scent proved I had a wife. As for knowing she was blind, the shoulders of the uniform I wore when we met had darkened colors on the shoulders that looked like none-other than the claws made by fingers which means she held my shoulders tightly as I guided her whenever we walked"

"It is somehow absurdly simple. Here's a book. Deduce this one"

I examined the book he passed on to me with one hand, while holding the dog with the other. "It was opened only recently and the last page looked at was page 160" I opened it to the said page "There is no damn bookmark. I can also tell it was you, Fraudulent Holmes, who read this because of the traces of the smell of cocaine. Let me guess, a 7℅ solution?"

"How do you know what cocaine smells like?" asked my wife.

"I used to walk through a street of cocaine users"

"I've seen enough!" announced Sherlock "The stage is set, the curtain rises. You must help me find Watson and stop Moriarty"

"You're the world's greatest detective. You can find your companion by looking at the tiniest bit of molecule or whatever-the-fuck" I stood up "I'm taking Jane home. Also, I suggest you get a psychiatrist. I will not talk to a man who is convinced his lies are the truth"

I took Jane to the nearest food place. Our dog Emily tied outside on a leash. I would turn to see if she was still there and not escaping or getting stolen. My wife had finished her food and I slowly ate my brown cheese.

"Shit" I whispered

"What?" asked my wife

"Another stupid decision, or rather a confusing one. Should I help the man or not? I feel bad that he doesn't know who he really is and he think he's a fictional character, but I've had my damn adventure and boy was it traumatizing"

"Whatever you decide, i'll be there for you. How about you flip a coin?"

"Not a bad idea" I took out with my right-hand a brown-ish-colored 10 kroner coin "Heads- I help him"
I watched it spin mid-air as it flew up and descended from the flick of my thumb, caught it with the same hand and smacked it on top of my left hand.

"It landed on heads" announced I, knowing Jane could not see it "Well, here we go"

"Smart move" said the voice of an old-man sitting behind me and reading a newspaper. He placed it down to reveal the face of a man with grey beard and a red cap.

"How long have you been listening?"

"Long enough, I still don't understand how people think i'm supposed to be a fictional character"

"Well, I don't understand how you don't know they made movies and tv shows based on Sherlock books" said Jane

"You mean Watson's reminiscences?"

"Set two Centuries ago?"

"He is quite the story-teller"

"Just tell us if you've got any stupid clues, cheek boy!" demanded Jane.

"You are quite the nicknamer. No offense, but according to the look on your husband's face he is the insulted one" smirked Sherlock

"Do as she says!" I demanded. He pulled out from his pocket a small paper cut in a rectangular shape.

"If you look closely" said Sherlock "There is a small mark indicating a pen was pushed too forcibly on the first stroke of a letter, however, it got lighter in a flick and faded away. Which means there is a note written in invisible ink"

"And you need UV light for its reveal!"

"Sadly, I don't have the money for a UV pen light, or UV lamp. What are you doing?"

I started scrolling and tapping on my phone
"Ordering a UV lamp online. Jane, how do you order?"

"Did you forget that I'm blind?" asked my wife

"Of course not. Why would I?"

"You should see a button with the words 'Order' written on it. Tap that then type in your address. All you have to do is read"

Sherlock watched and his face gave the impression that he was entertained watching us. I got to a screen that told me to sign up. "What do I need to sign up for? You didn't tell me about this"

"Just sign up for an account then you'll be taken to the type-in-address screen"

"Got it" I did as she said.

"You are not old enough to be a boomer"

"What's a boomer?" My phone's screen changed and the website took me to where Jane told me it would. "Oh finally! Wait, what's our address?"

"Are you shitting me?"

"No, i'm serious, what's our address? I mean, I know where our house is, but I don't know the streets"

"Take it to Sherlock's hotel room. It's his case"

Sherlock reached out his hand to grab my phone before I could ask him because he was that rude. Then, gave it back to me after typing and confirming.

"You could've just asked me" he laughed and stood up "You two know where to find me and I shall await your presence tomorrow. Goodnight" he smiled and, because of his facial structure, looked like an otter. I watched him pet the dog on his way out.

Year 2022. William Habitat and Jane Surname Habitat married each other but continued to consider themselves as best friends. They only married each other to take care and nurture and die together because, the thought of being a sweet couple makes them cringe. They moved to Norway with their pet dog Emily, named after William's sister. Everything was all good until William met a strange man who claims to be Sherlock Holmes, but we all know it is not him. Now they must figure out who this man really is (or was) while facing a man he claims to be Professor James Moriarty.
