Not remembering anything about how he ended up in some hospital full of Dokas, people who looked somewhat like humans but with blue skin, antennas, and slime coating their skin. Noku runs from the hospital for what seemed like an eternity until he ran into other “humans” only to discover he is in the same time period but on a different world. Follow Noku’s journey as he unravels mysteries of his new world and tries to go home to deliver his groceries to his mom.

Bob was in literal shock with how I managed to bring this much carcass. I did not explain it too much and just sold the carcasses to him. I got a lot of money just by selling all of the carcasses and ended up with getting 30 thousand gold. I am so happy since the Moonlight Shadow Tiger fetched a very high price for being a tier 3 monster. A tier 3 monster is enough 

With all the money in my hands, I no longer need to hunt beast every night and every day. I can hand it to mom immediately without getting the fear that the debt will never be paid. However, I don't have a good trust on that guy. Even the system is viewing him as a corrupt noble. If he wanted to, he can declare to us that the debt has been paid but in reality, it is not yet paid. Making a bigger burden on us. However, I didn't want to say it outright. Our status is far lower than a noble and all of the words that noble might spout will end up as the truth. Therefore, I need to plan it out.

I returned home that day. There are still a few books I haven't started reading and I need to stuff my brain with every knowledge I can fill my head. If my system helps me, my own effort will be reflected in my own stats, the only problem is, I can't see the stats at the moment due to my age.

When I arrive at home, no one is around as usual. I am free to do my job here. I rushed into the bookshelves and scan the book titles. Although I am reading books every day, I can't read all of the books in one go. Before I can even pick one book, I heard a loud knock in the door.

"Open up, plebians, we are here to take the debt now!"

That voice. I cannot be wrong. Its the voice of that noble. However, why is he here? Did he just said he will be taking our debt right now? I did not waste my time and grab the dagger in the kitchen and hid it on my side. If I remember correctly, he will collect our debt this at the end of the week. However, I just remembered that he came here last two days. Its not even a week yet!

I bravely open the door. The money is already in my possession but I don't have the trust to go with that guy. He is cunning and he is corrupt. If he tried anything funny, I won't hesitate at all.

As I open the door, I saw that noble looking smugly along with his two bodyguards and a few others who seemed to look like squires.

"Oh, its the kid. Where is your b*tch mother?" the noble asked.

Hearing that word, I squinted my eyes. I don't like what he just earlier. However, I can let it slide.

"She is not here, what do you want," I looked at him.

I saw his reaction turned sinister. This guy is clearly thinking something.

"Oh well, if she is not here, then I will just ask you. Pay the money now that your family owned me. If you can't, I will forcefully drag you to the slave market and sell you out," the noble guy grinned.

I clenched my fist and gritted my teeth. A shameless guy indeed.  Bad thing for him, I am not a normal kid.

"Ten thousand gold right, here, eat it," I throw him a pouch filled with money straight to his face. The pouch is heavy due to the gold so when I throw the pouch to his face, it clangs and sure enough, it hurts his face.

When the pouch hits, he staggered and almost fell. I have thrown the pouch with strength, therefore, his face is red. It must be painful.

"You brat! Kill that kid! I want him dead!"

I did not expect him to react like that. But its much better. The more corrupt and evil he is, the more he will react like this. Which means, the sooner he do that, a much better thing to do.

Although the squires seems hesitant, the two burly guards did not hesitate and raised their big arms to catch me. I jump away from the two burly guys with agile back flip. Although its been a long time since I did a back flip, and it was a back flip when I am still on Earth, it was slightly different. However, a back flip is a back flip, although it doesn't have a much stabilize posture for me at the moment.

The burly guys crashed down to my former position and fell on top of each other. Just by looking at them makes me imagine them looking like a a hamburger steak piled together.

The two burly guys quickly stood up and pull out their swords out of nowhere. These guys has a storage ring...My face turned grim. If they have a storage ring, they might pull out something sinister.

"I already paid, why the heck are you still here!" I said to the corrupt noble. When the noble heard it, he gritted his teeth and his face turned beet red in anger.

"I changed my mind! You little f*cker will get to be crippled and sent to the mines!" the noble pull out his rapier. He looked so funny with his posture. No wonder he has a low level swordsmanship.

I raised my middle finger and showed it to him.

"If you think that its easy to bring me to the mines, then be sure to catch me alive!" I provoked him.

The noble did not understand the gesture of my finger but based on my words and actions, it was clearly a gesture that is meant for cursing. He cannot contain his anger and rushed towards me while trying to stab me with his little rapier. 

Although his posture is weak and poor, underestimating them is not a good thing. Sometimes, those postures will end up being a very powerful one. However, to this guy, I doubt it.

He stab low just around my height in a fast manner. Although he can get to use a fast technique, it was clear that he is still not a good one to it, so he ended up looking ridiculous.

"Answer me! Why are you so intent to take us down?!" I said to him.

The noble grinned.

"I don't know why you seemed different to the kids I saw and sent into the past but here is my real motive. I need to take all of the artifacts that your father has hidden inside your house! And to do that, I need to eliminate the family house that your father painstakingly built!" The noble looked so corrupt, and just by looking at his smirking face, I am feeling that I can bury my fists into his mouth and pull out all of his teeth.

"So you want us to keep on paying on a debt even though we are already paid? This is already counted as extortion!"

"No its fine, the students and I appreciate it greatly," Said Professor with a sigh of relief 

"Wow, you really work fast don't ya" Said Rogue as stared in wonder at the speedy construction.

"Thank you for your help Mr Hunt," Said Piotr (Colossus) as he deactivated his metal form.

"Yes, thank Mr Hunt" Said Jean with a happy and sincere smile.

Scott was feeling like his territory was being invaded as he started at Theodore with caution.

"Hey, do think you can leave some bots to help with cleaning or taking care of some small tasks like changing diapers," Asked Kitty excitedly

"Ah yeah sure but could you make sure that it doesn't get destroyed I kinda don't like wasting my efforts," Said Theodore

"Do you think because we're mutants well destroy it?" Asked Scott in a disgruntled tone.

"Scott!!" Said Jean shocked at his tone.

'What the fuck did I do to piss him off' Thought Theodore disappointed at Scott's attitude.

Theodore replied with an eye roll "Please, the problem isn't because of them being mutant but the fact that you have trouble makers. It's to be expected as they are teens you know the rebellious phase"

Some of the students in the room look away awkwardly not wanting to acknowledge his words even though they knew it was true.

"We are understaffed so it makes it difficult to teach all the kids properly," Said Professor Xavier sadly

"I have a method that could help with that but first let's finish off the building and go for a tour," Said Theodore 

"That would be great, if I may ask, are you human?" Asked Professor Xavier

"Yes, I'm human but I'm quite the special case of a human. May I just say that I'm honoured to meet two great minds like yourselves Professor and Dr McCoy" Said Theodore with a smug smile.

Hank was pleased to be recognized for his brain rather than his famous work as the beast while Professor had gotten used it but nonetheless glad.

"Dad, where are we and who are all these people," Said Rose while poking at Theodore's cheek.

"We at a very special school for people with superpowers," Said Theodore

"This is school. It's very brown" Said Chloe in a quite while staring at the old decor.

Rose was shocked and put her hands on his cheeks  "School! No, let's go, dad, we need to run" 

"Ouch hey calm down," Said Theodore while his head rocking side to side with each pull of his cheeks.

"But dad it's school. Scary teachers and scary books" Said Rose as she shook in fear.

The other students in the room unanimously nod their heads in agreement to her naive portrayal of school.

"Books are good" Chloe stated 

"Teachers and books don't let me hit super cool tricks with my skateboard or play outside and, and there's no daddy in school," said Rose with teary eyes.

'I don't have any memory of you learning any tricks. And stop using me' Thought Theodore 

"Where did you learn all of this" Said Theodore with an awkward smile.

Rose gave a proud snort and raised her finger one at a time, and said "Horrid Henry, Ben 10, Codename: Kids Next Door, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy" 

"Okay, after this we'll watch a cartoon that I used to watch. For now just know that school is where you make friends and learn things that we'll help you in your future" Said, Theodore

"I have to go to school to be a daredevil like Kick?" Asked Rose in a confused tone

'I should really ban that Kick Buttowski show it's becoming way too much of an influence. I've seen her jumping from heights and her attempts at front flip on the soft play area are frankly scary. Though it would be pretty cool' Thought Theodore

Theodore decided to just lie through his teeth "Yes you need to go to school or the big boss of daredevils won't let you become a professional" 

"Big boss is bad. So when can I go to school I'm gonna do it really really fast" Said Rose with excitement.

"Umm can I learn lots of things," said Chloe with a gleam in her eyes.

"Yes, that's what school is for" Said Theodore with a happy smile.

Everyone except Scott they all thought that their little drama was so innocent and envious of the pure family relationship they had.

*Cough* "Right so would you guys like to go on a tour of the new building," Said Theodore to which the others gave an excited nod.

"I swear you said 5 floors" Said Rogue while pointing out that only the basements were completed.

Theodore put the kids down and opened the back yard door. The barrier was then shut down as he gave a command "Daisy, break down the walls"

The whole back portion of the mansion rapidly broke down to a clean an opening to the outside. 

The robots quickly disappear as the warm summer breeze blows into the mansion. 

He then gave a simple thought 'Floor 1, 2, 3, 4,5'

The empty back yard turned into a long corridor with doors down the left side while the right-hand side was made of standing windows with sliding doors that lead to the courtyard. 

The style followed the same vintage manner look that the original mansion had.

From an areal point of view, the building was a long sided doughnut. In the centre was a simple courtyard that had a fish pond, benches lush green grass, tall trees and beautiful vibrant flowers.

The extension towered over the mansion with its 3 extra floors. Though the Students and X-men could only see what was in front of them.

With the kid's hand in his, he looked back and said: "You lot coming or not?"

To live in an area that is dangerous is a nightmare but to live in a world that is under constant danger is hell.

"Wait!"  Rong You panicked when he saw the dismissal in her eyes. He wanted to answer the question in the first place to prove his right as an all-knowing master to her, but at this point it felt like he was stepping on his own foot! 

If she didn't accept him then he wouldn't be able to gain her trust, stopping any plans of him breaking the armored wall around her mind. 

Letting someone with this much potential go would lose him his right to even be called human!

Hey I'm Kris Mage and I'm the popular guy in school, the topic of everyone's conversations, the guy who's dated at least 27 different girls... But that's not the only thing, I'm also super handsome and manly, everyone wants a piece of this charmer! Oh and I have the PERFECT morning routine, I get up out of bed- doing a back flip ( Spin on the spot, ) then I go brush my teeth, which I can do in under 30 seconds, then I go get some orange and mango juice out of the fridge, that I can drink under 30 seconds ( I often wipe the juice off my face onto my white shirt  ), I go change into my clothes and tadaa I'm done!! That is it, the perfect morning routine, well according to a comic I read it is. Uh... Oh right... I have a whole collection of comics, books and manga. Basically anything you can read, I've read. Yeah, It's nerdy as hell, but so long as no one finds out I'm a total freak it should be fine... Well, there is one person who knows I'm a book nerd, but they wouldn't DARE speak of it! EVER. A few years ago me and the guy were.... As much as I hate to say it... Fr- FRIENDS DAMMIT!!! We would go to my house on our bikes singing some stupid song, it went like "OOhhhhh!! Let's go!! Na na superrrr herrros on theee wayy!! YEA YEA YEA, Weeeee are gonna save the daaaaaay!!! No matter wha-" UGGGGGGGGHHH just thinking of it makes me cringe!!! Are voices would crack every time we sang "daaaaay." I can't believe I use to do that in public! All the kids we rode past would laugh at us, but we wouldn't care, we we're to caught up in the song... Actually... Some times I still hum the song while reading at night... B-but it's not like my voice cracks anymore, and plus I do it in my room, not on the pathway were everyone can hear me! Oh right- The day we stoped being friends... Err...

 It was the day a new comic was coming out, me and the guy had been talking 'bout it for weeks!! "Mega millions," it was about a middle schooler who wanted to become the worlds greatest hokey player, of course sports comics are the best!! When I got to school, I ran straight into my class, to the guys desk, and we started screaming out of joy, jumping on the spot and spinning around. Throughout the whole day, we talked in every class, just about mega millions, we got told of 'bout 10 times, ignoring the teachers. In period 6, the last class of the day, sport, and we were playing hokey! Being the nerds we were, we pretended to be the 2 main character from Mega millions, I was Vector, the rival, and the guy was Menji, the hero of the story. As we were playing and saying stupid nerdy lines, a group of kids came up to us, if I remember correctly there names were; Benonison, Jermenly and garatmon ( *Ben, Jeremy and garret. ) Of course, they were considered popular ( obviously not as popular as I am now. ) Our role-playing came to a hault as one of the boys grabed the guys shirt and threw him down, my mind stopped. My... Friend... Had been thrown to the ground. And now he was getting called names. "Nerd. Looser. Book freak." They even told him things like " No one likes you. Books are only for loosers like you. Just die. Go on and jump of a building." They even grabbed his bag. What was inside? It was mega millions. It had a sticky note stuck on the front cover, I didn't have enough time to read it at that moment. They proceeded the rip the book up in the guys face, screaming insults. Then they turned to look at me. Being... Being the worthless guy I am, I ran away knowing they hadn't seen my face to well. I ran and ran as I thought things like "they don't know I'm a book freak too, If I run they won't beat me up!" sliping and tumbling, I grabed my bike and peddled, I peddled so fast I thought my feet might break, heart beating as fast as my feet it could rip out of my chest. I was a coward. That night it rained, it hailed, it was cold. The next day riding to school, I didn't dare to sing. When I arrived at the destination and put my bike down ( dropped it ), I ran to where my fr- the guy had been beat up... Blood stains... And the sticky note in a pile of riped up paper. I walked slowly to where the sticky note layed. Picked it up and read it. "-For Kris, my best friend, I hope we can read this book together!" Mind blank. Tears Streaming down my face. I sunk to my knees. Hands on the cold wet ground. I stayed like that. I stayed like that for hours until a teacher found me. After that I never talked to the guy again. Well not like I use to... I started insulting him. Pushing him around. But not once did the guy push me back. I... I never wanted to run... I never wanted to leave him... Why am I such a worthless piece of-.... No, nevermind, I don't care. I'm popular now, I have everything anyone would want. I'm cool! I'm no coward!! Yeah! Yeah....

Oh I know some of this stuff dosn't line up with what the other charecter said in the previous chapter, I forgot about that when writing, oops. 

 I apologise for the lack of chapters, and for the story not being the best. I will work on getting better.

"He's not here."

I turned my head to Bella as we walked down the hallways after lunch.

"Who?" I asked. My mind wasn't really focused on her moods.

My day had gone from good to better.

I hadn't realized that two of the Cullens were in my morning classes until they'd engaged a conversation.

"Hello."

Startled out of my thoughts by the melodic voice, I turned around to see two gorgeous honey-blondes. 

The one who'd greeted me was the statuesque girl.

"Hi." I smiled back. "Rosalie, right?"

"Yes. Nice to meet you, Rebecca." Rosalie nodded.

I twisted my body until I was in a more comfortable position. "Call me Becca."

"I'm jasper." A slightly husky voice came from the cautious blonde boy next to her.

In the corner of my eye, I saw Rosalie startle when Jasper took the initiative to shake my hand. I wondered why.

"Nice to meet you, Jasper." I nodded, shaking his hand.

The coldness that met my hand was rather bizarre but not off-putting. The two were closely watching my face and when I noticed, I gave them a confused grin.

Eyes on my lips, Jasper's shoulders finally eased, a relaxed grin of his own taking over on his face. Rosalie, who was observing her brother's reaction seemed to take it as incentive to show me a more genuine smile too.

"Kids!" The teacher clapped his hands to grab our attention. "Gather around in groups of three for your project and then come up here to pick your topic."

I turned back to the Cullens—or Hales—and smirked. "So, there's two of you and one of me." I said in a sing-song voice.

Rosalie let out a light chuckle and stood up. "I'm going to choose the topic."

Jasper moved their belongings to my row and arranged it as they would sit on either of my side before Rosalie came back.

The rest of the class was filled with melodic giggles, manly chuckles and promises of sleepovers—with me taking home Jasper and Rosalie's mails as they didn't have phones. 

I startled quite a bit a that, I mean, who didn't have a phone? 

Even if most of the phones were flip-phones, at least half the school's students required it to keep in contact—never mind the fact that we all lived pretty close to each other, we were rather fond of the device.

But I digress, the three of us had a good time and they invited me to sit with them at lunch—which I refused since I'd promised Angela that day—but we made other plans for the next few weeks so it was all good.

I left the class with a relaxed smile, sure, deep in my bones that I'd just made friends for life.

"Edward." Bella pulled me out of my musings. "He's not here."

"What's it to you?" I arched a brow as I opened my locker. "You don't know the guy and he doesn't know you."

"I want to know what his problem is." Bella shrugged. "I want to know why he glared at me so much."

I put the last of my books in my locker and slapped it shut. "Maybe, my dear sister should mind her own business." I nudged her to walk to biology. "Things happen, Bella. Maybe his day was already shitty to begin with and it has nothing to do with you."

"It had everything to do with me." Bella snapped.

"And that, is the most self-centered sentence I've heard come out your mouth." I rolled my eyes. "And I've heard a lot."

Bella made a weird face at me before I lightly pushed her in the classroom—a class where Edward was indeed absent.

That evening, Bella and I had done groceries and cooked as my dad couldn't boil water if his life depended on it.

"How are you girls liking school? Made any friends?" Dad asked before he took seconds of the chicken and potatoes.

"We have a lunch group with some people we have classes with." I told dad as I served myself some seconds too. "There's this girl named Jessica and another named Angela."

Bella continued. "And there's this boy, Mike, who's very friendly. Everybody seems pretty nice."

Dad hummed. "That must be Mike Newton. Nice kid—nice family. His dad owns the sporting goods store just outside of town. He makes a good living off all the backpackers who come through here."

"Do you know the Cullen family?" Bella hesitantly asked.

"Dr. Cullen's family? Sure. Dr. Cullen's a great man."

"They...the kids...are a little different." Bella tried fishing for information. "They don't seem to fit in very well at school."

I shrugged, not seeing the problem. I mean, did they have to fit in?

Dad surprised me by looking angry. "People in this town." He muttered. "Dr. Cullen is a brilliant surgeon who could probably work in any hospital in the world, make ten times the salary he gets here. We're lucky to have him—lucky that his wife wanted to live in a small town. He's an asset to the community and all of those kids are well-behaved and polite. I had my doubts when they first moved in, with all those adopted teenagers. I thought we might have some problems with them. But they're all very mature—I haven't had one speck of trouble from any of them. That's more than I can say for the children of some folks who have lived in this town for generations. And they stick together the way a family should—camping trips every other weekend... Just because they're newcomers, people have to talk."

And behold, ladies and gentlemen, the reason my dad was the best you could ask for. No judgment, or if there was, he tried to see things for himself and make his own assessment and that's one of the lessons he'd instilled in me.

Bella quickly backpedaled. "They seemed nice enough to me. I just noticed they keep to themselves. They're all very attractive." She added in to be more complimentary. 

"You should see the doctor." Dad chuckled. "It's a good thing he's happily married. A lot of nurses at the hospital have a hard time concentrating on their work with him around."

Dad and I then lapsed into our own conversation, laughing; Bella joining in whenever she felt like it.

I felt a routine coming on as Bella and I washed the dishes and then went to sleep—not sure if it was a good thing or not.

The rest of the week was uneventful. After that first day, all of my lunches were spent at the Cullen's table, the family having adopted me in their mold.

Edward was still a no-show, which frustrated my sister to no end but I got to know big, teddy-bear Emmett, and pixie, hyperactive Alice. I now had all their mails—safe from Edward—and we behaved like very old friends. As if we did this all the time. We acted very natural around each other, which I liked.

It didn't prevent me from observing some little things though—like how cold their skin was, how they loaded up their plates but never ate anything at lunch or how they always seemed to restrain themselves even if an innate, almost animal grace seemed to be imbued in their very person. My new friends were weird but, lucky for them, I liked weird.

My first week end in Forks passed without incident and before long, I was hurrying across campus on Monday, late and balancing books in my hands.

One of them slipped out of my hold and I was about to use telekinesis when a pale hand reached out, catching the book mid-air. I looked up, surprised to see the elusive Cullen.

"Edward Cullen." I took the book back with a smile. "I can't say you were missed." I teased him.

Chuckling, he extended his hand. "I heard a lot about from my siblings. Let's start this again. I'm Edward Cullen."

I shook his hand—which was as cold as his siblings. "Rebecca Swan but call me Becca."

Looking into his golden eyes, I was now more than determined to solve the puzzle that was the Cullen family.

When Rebecca Swan and her twin sister Bella move to rainy Forks, what awaits them, one can only wonder.

The sun sat high in the mid afternoon sky as the kids gathered back up to finish their first major class of the day.  It was a fun class as it was spent in a bazaar instead of a classroom doing academic studies.  Every kid in the class was excited about the prospects of getting a new creature to add to their collection.  For most of the kids, this would be their second creature and one that would be with them for a long time.

Mr. McDowell had now acquired a large box that was wrapped up with butcher block paper.  The huge thing was chained to a pull cart.  The thing was so big Kaden figured it would take up all of his own storage space.  He figures Mr. McDowell being a teacher could probably not afford a decent size storage treasure.  Large storage treasure like the one his Gigi had gifted him was very rare.  As the only offspring of an old noble family Kaden by default got the best the family could afford.  Hinata and Jessicas warning about the problems his treasure could cause help Kaden to appreciate his family even more.

"Ah, good everybody is promptly back.  Show of hands who has a beast eggs?  Mr. McDowell asked.  " Good, good, glad everybody accomplished their missions.  Now then everybody come grab a card.  As all the eggs in the bazaar are random.  We will learn to use capture cards on these unborn beasts.  So now who among you can answer me this.  What are capture cards exactly?  anyone?" he asked hoping to get a couple of hands to raise.

Kaden was unsure what a capture card did exactly.  His could infer like the rest of the class that it was used to capture beast.  But how to use it and the rest of its abilities was lost to him.   Unfortunately, this class did not use any books for reference.  Looking at Mr. McDowell and most would know why.  He was defiantly not your average by the book teacher.

"Miss Han if you be so kind as to answer" Mr. McDowell called out to one of the kids with their hands raised.

Han Yunana was the bright looking girl who seemed too young to be part of the class.  Her hair was done up like a famous female martial artist in a game Kaden like to play.   He could also almost picture the girl dress up in the same battle outfit.  Shaking the dumb thought from his head Kaden gave her his full attention.

"Sir, the capture card is a tool used as its name implies to capture wild creature.  It also acts as a storage device.  This way a summoner can save a space in their Gilmore.  It helps to not waste a page on a creature that might not be compatible with us. When the card is used to house a creature then it becomes a summoner card.  Any trained summoner can use that card to summon the creature inside it" Yunana said in one go.  

Kaden was surprised she could say all that in one breath.  He was afraid the poor girl was going pass out form the lack of oxygen.  Some of the boys in the class even clap for her as she finishes her answer.

" Well said, excellently done.  Though I might add just a bit to the end of that." Mr. McDowell said as he also claps.  "The biggest downfall of summoning card is they do not help you with gaining the trust of the summon creature." He pauses to make sure his kids were keeping up. 

"That is where beast eggs come in to fill the gap.    As a newborn beast can bond easier than one already grown up." Mr. McDowell finished and took out a card and beast egg of its own.  "Using the card is very simple.  Fouse your mind on the card and the egg, then touch the two together like this." He did as he said and a quick sliver light flashed and his egg disappeared. 

"This can be done with any fully grown beast as well but you have to befriend them or knock them out first.  An unfriendly beast summoned could be a nightmare to the summoner so never summon with someone else cards unless you are freeing the beast back to the wilds.  Then with extreme care." Mr. McDowell warned.

"To summon them is a lot simpler than a contract within the grimoire but the tradeoff is card creature cannot grow stronger with use.  Until they are bound to a grimoire they will never improve." He explained as he flips the card over to see the creature details.  "Basic information along with the name and picture of the creature is shown on the face of the card.  The back of the card is a reflection of the caster grimoire."  Mr. McDowell said as he pasted his card around for the class to see.

"As you all can see this card show the name  'Rock Viper' a bronze ranked creature.  The bronze star in the upper right corner is its rank.  The three circles on the lower right shows the creature current potential.  The blue is its attack, green its defense and red its power.  The numbers range is from zero to nine and there total determines a beast rank." He continued.

 "As you can see this snake total points is a 5.  It's at the bottom of the bronze rank.  It also only has one skill 'Acid Spit'.  Able to throw a ball of acid from its mouth.  As its power is only one the snake can only use that skill once before it needs to rest."  Mr. McDowell finishes his introduction. 

Soon the card he passed out had returned to his hand.  " Just like how I explained how to capture the beast to summon it's much the same except." he paused to survey his class before moving on. "You must call out the best name.  Like so 'Rock   Viper'. Mr. McDowell said in a commanding voice. 

 In a flash, there was now a small snake on the ground in front of him.  It had gray rock-like scales covering its body and it seems to be afraid of being in front of a crowd as it quickly shot back and wrap its little body around Mr. McDowell's ankle. 

" As you can see it's still an infant and need time to grow up but that might not be the case for the rest of you.  There are many creatures out there that will be fully grown after hatching." He stated "Now that you saw how, give it a try with your eggs," He said with a smile. 

As soon as Mr. McDowell was done with his example the kid jump to trying their own hand at it.  Kaden was no exception and as soon as his card touched the egg it lite up the area with a golden hue.  Hinata was the second to succeed and her light flash with a light purple-silver color.   Soon after a bronze light flash shows a third kid had completed the task.

As the other tried to complete their captures Kaden spent the time to look over his card.  The once blank index card now looks like a playing card.  The back of the card was jet black with little twinkling stars of all colors on it.  The border of it had a golden trim giving the card an elegant feel to it.   In the center of the card was a big bright golden star.  All in all, it looks like the back of a high-end poker deck.

Compare his card which he had yet to flip over to Hinata he was surprised at how different the two cards.  The back of her card was snow white with swirls of blue on it.  Lacking any trim at all the card looked homely almost.

"Hinata, let's flip out card together," Kaden suggested.  He was a little bit more than just excited. He felt Christmas had come early and he was really loving his first day of school.

"Hmm, " Hinata said as she put her finger to her mouth in a thinking pose. "Sure, that would be ok with me Kaden," she said with a grin.

"Cool so on three.  One, Two, Three."  Kaden said as he flipped his card over.  Hinata as she agreed to also do so on the word three.

(Kid geniuses are still kids in the end it seems.) Mr. McDowell thought to himself as he watched the two elites of the class antics.

The design on the face of Kaden card left him confused at its use.  At the top left corner of the card was the things name.  On the right corner of the card was a silver sprocket with a gold star in the center of it.  A picture of a humanoid thing took up most of the top half of the card and on the lower right corner was three circles. A blue with the number two in it, a green with the number 5 in it and last a red with the number 9 on it.  Below that was some more text that described the beast within along with the creature's skills.

Kaden should be overjoyed by capturing a gold ranked beast.  But all the joy he might had had for the thing was taken away by the description and skills it listed.  First the things name, yes the thing was not a living creature but a machine.  Its name read Clockwork Bulter and its description was 'A dutiful servant who willingly works tirelessly and endlessly.'. What the hell did he just get Kaden thought to himself.  The skill was just as weird as the picture of the butler.  

The thing surprisingly had three skills.  The first and the one that had the highest rating was called 'Super Cleaner' and had six stars next to it.  it read 'Leaves no dust behind'.  The second Skill was called 'Super Dence Alloy' under it read 'Built to last and take a beating.'.  The skill had a three-star rating. Finally, the last skill was called 'Logical Mind' and it was a two star and under it read 'Process information like a supercomputer.'.

Going back to the picture the mechanical man thing was holding a towel draped over one arm and a dusting brush in his other hand. He or it was standing in a triumphant victory pose.  Kaden could only hope that they did not have to share with others what they got.  He would be too embarrassed to do that.  Hinata on the other hand really wanted to share her card with a certain boy.

A moment that changed his life forever.  He awoke to find that nothing was as he believed.   Join Kaden P. Flanagan as he starts his new life away from home at one of the best Highschool in the universe.  A crazy place hidden far from the mundane.

The cover is temporary as it uses Mass Effect Art and Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou characters.  Hopefully, I'll be motivated to create my own custom cover for it soon.

  We head upstairs and I put her things in her fridge and ask her if she took her medicine today since she was looking a bit weak. "Yes, Yes, I took my medication. you're like my grandson except he doesn't come to visit as much anymore since he got a wife. Speaking of wife that girl on the floor below us is single you should try talking to her. I heard she likes tall men."

I lean down slightly. "You aren't trying to play matchmaker again are you Ms. Maria?"

She shakes her head slightly. "Of course not, Im just passing the word along is all."

 I laugh slightly. "Sure you are, just like you were passing things along last time." 

 I help her make lunch and see a photo of her husband on the now covered piano. "Did your husband play this?" 

  She nods slightly picking up the photo running her fingers across it. "He couldn't sing a tune to save his life but he could play this old piano. He used to sing all the time, I worried he would upset the neighbors but they told me after he passed they actually missed his afternoon songs."

   She touches the paper on the piano. "This was the last song he wrote before he passed. It's sad that I never got to hear it played." 

    I glance at the paper. "I could play it for you if you want?" 

   She looks at me surprised. "You can play the piano?" 

   I nod slightly running my hand across the top of it. "Yeah, Im not sure why but I have always been fascinated with the piano and music in the like. I taught myself but never took it anywhere because im to embarrassed to sing or play in front of someone else. This time it's special so I don't mind."

   She sits in her chair as I move the stuff on the piano and start to play it. I can tell its a bit out of tune and use magic to fix that while I tap the keys. Once I get a feel for it and put the words on my display I start playing it. The song is very beautiful and about the love he had for the people in his life. One day he would be gone but he would never forget them in his heart.

   After I finish I can see Titan crying like a baby on a chair. He isn't visible to normal people when we are in public. She comes over hugging me tightly thanking me for everything. I pat her back. "Don't mention it I would do it again anytime."

   She wipes her eyes fixing my jacket patting my shoulders. "now then get going my shows are coming on soon."

She puts a $100 in my hand. "Ms. Maria I cant-"

She pushes it into my hand closing it. "Take it, take it, don't argue with your elders."

I hug her thanking her again while I duplicate the $100 dollars behind her back dropping one into her purse before I leave heading into my apartment. "Big brother?"

I walk over to the window struggling to open it for a bit. "What's up?"

He comes over. "We make enough money doing alert quests, don't we? why are you trying to get a job and living in an apartment like this?"

I fold the $100 bill into an airplane tossing it out the window having it float down to a homeless guy across the street. He takes it looking so excited. "Because I rely on my powers enough as it is. I want to feel like a normal person."

I walk over and grab a screwdriver working on the window. "What if there's a day I cant use my powers and all I did was rely on them. I'd be up shit creek without a paddle. Im, not some god. Im a normal guy who just happens to have insane abilities. The moment I let that go to my head is the moment I stop being myself."

He comes over sitting on the window sill next to me. "You could still be a hero, everyone likes a hero."

I laugh slightly poking his forehead. "I don't have what it takes to be a hero. I help people within my means, Im not out to be lorded by others as this great symbol of hope. I am bound to mess up and let people down. That works the same in relationships. you'd think a girl would like someone with powers but what happens if there's an emergency while we are on a date?"

He nudges me. "I think there are girls out there who would understand."

I smile petting him. "Im sure there are but I wouldn't want to drag them into our world. it seems selfish to pull someone into a world of monsters and alien invasions just to find love... plus, I have you. you're the only companion I need."

I toss him into the air and he giggles as I catch him. I shut the now fixed window and make us lunch. I go into the next room and it shifts into a training room. "We were to slow on that evacuation we need to focus on agility and stamina today."

He nods and we spend the day working out with the gravity set in the room to the max making us lay pinned to the ground. with every slight movement or stamina drains by the afternoon we are standing up barely. Listening to music and reading books is our past time while working out. "Big brother, do you wanna play video games?"

I smile. "Sure-"

He throws me the remote and I reach for it. "Wait the gravity!"

I catch it while im still in the gravity field and face plant groaning against the mat. "B-Big brother please don't be mad."

I turn my head slightly still smushed. "I won't be mad... just turn off the gravity..."

He does and I get up chasing him around the room. "Get back here you little shit!"

He yelps hiding under the desk. "You said you wouldn't be mad!"

I lift up the desk with one hand. "Im not mad, im pissed!"

He runs away. "That's the same thing!"

I flop down in my chair breathing heavily. "Im done, I overdid it today."

He hops into my lap and we play video games for a while I lay him down on the bed covering him up. I look out over the city, all the lights, the sirens... It reminds me of my life before all this. 

I take my dad's dog tags off holding them up watching them turn slowly gleaming from the dim light of the moon. I tap them a bit before putting them back on glancing at myself in the mirror and everything goes black. 

I rub my eyes. "Big brother lets go to the guild and get a quest."

I glance at titan. "I want to get some dried meat from one of the stalls over there first. I heard it was really good here."

I buy some and walk around the market with titan. I see some men beating up a group of kids in the alley. I sigh walking down the alley. "Hey, what's going on down here?"

The bald one looks at me. "Its none of your business keep it moving before you get hurt."

The little boy under his boot looks at me smiling slightly. "D-Don't worry about us mister its okay just go-"

The bald guy kicks him in the stomach and the other 2 kids shield his body. I walk over kneeling down beside them. "Could you kids do me a favor and take my pet to the water fountain. Im going to have a conversation with these men here. He will take you to get some dried meat its really good to."

The little girl hugs titan close to her chest nodding franticly and I glance down at titan. "Keep them safe?"

He nods and I stand up waving to them as they leave. I lower my arm once they are out of view sighing. "What kind of bastard do you have to be to beat up some little kids."

I turn around slightly and the bald guy runs at me drawing his fist back. "Mind your own business!"

I flip him over my body slamming him down on his back stomping his throat he rolls around in pain and I glance at the other two. "I asked you a question."

The scrawny one runs at me with a knife. "I'll kill you!"

I step right breaking his arm just by touching it. He drops to the ground in front of me and I kick the knife away slightly. I step past him looking at the last one. "Third times the charm."

He holds his hand out casting a fire spell. I reach out locking my fingers with him breaking his hand. The flames go out that went up my arm. He drops to his knees. "P-Please I will tell you anything you want to know just let me go."

I let his hand go. "Why were you attacking those kids?"

He averts his eyes. "They are just orphans nobody cares what happens to them we just thought we would have some fun messing with them. they are just disgusting eyesores anyways."

I squat down grabbing the knife stabbing him in the thigh he screams loudly and I pull it out. "I don't doubt that's how you see them but I want to know the real answer."

I flip the knife in my hand. "Lie to me again and I will end you, Remember that I have two more people to question so choose your answer very carefully."

  I point the knife at his face slowly. "Why did you attack them?"

He looks at his buddies and the fear that spreads across his face is priceless. "T-The cult at the old west church they put a bounty out for any orphan kids. we wanted some quick drinking money so we decided to take these brats and turn them over to them. That's all! I promise we won't do it again so just let us go."

I pat his cheek. "See that wasn't so hard was it?"

I stand up dusting myself off he looks up at me as I light a black crystal cigar with a bright blue flame. "So you're gonna let us go?"

I take the cigar out of my mouth glancing down at him. "Who said anything about that?"

I flick the cigar at him setting the alley ablaze with blue flames. They turn to dust floating away in the wind. there is no trace of them or burn marks on the buildings. I exhale light blue smoke, heading down the street to the fountain seeing the 3 of them sharing a pouch of dried meat. 

  The darkness in my chest fades at the sight of these 3 little kids huddled next to the fountain with the world around them ignoring their suffering. People walking by going about their day, it makes me wonder how many times was I that person...

I walk up to them and they stand up. "T-Thank you for helping us, mister."

I smile. "No problem."

They hand me the pouch of money and I put it back in their hands. "You keep this I don't need it."

The little girl puts it in my hand squeezing it closed as best she can. "We cant! we are just orphans we don't deserve your kindness, you've done enough for us already. if you keep this up people will look down on you."

I squat down looking at them. "Don't ever think of yourself as less than others. you are equivalent to the royals in that big castle. You bleed the same blood and have the same ambitions to live a good life. You being an orphan doesn't define you."

She looks down. "How would you know, you are a strong grown-up..."

I smile. "I was an orphan just like you."

They all look at me. "Really!?"

I nod slightly. "My mother and father were not fit to take care of me so I was taken away. I was raised by a family who taught me that me being an orphan was not the only thing about me. I am my own person and so are you. Just because you're an orphan doesn't mean that's all you have to be. You should grow stronger to protect each other and maybe one day you will be strong enough to help someone like yourselves in this situation."

Their eyes light up. "We want to get stronger!"

I pat their heads. "I think I might be able to help you get started with that."
