In the modern world where life was easily prolonged, the life of a king was the norm, and just following the system was enough to make anyone successful.

That is the current world we live in, and a boy was bored with it.

Not just him but many have the tendency at one point of life where they would get bored of it. It either may be too hard or easy for them.

Time by time, a challenge obstructs their flow of life. This may give color to their life but the opposite can still be true otherwise.

It's complicated, but what's not when dissected? People tend to look at things in general, making it seem simple.

Now back to the boy, his name is Cass and he is also bored with life like some. However, he has a unique reason why: he was too talented. 

He can pick up anything and learn it with ease. Cass is a prodigy at anything. Even in love, he has lust and needs of course, but girls will always give themselves to him as if they were cheap, this greatly turned him off.

He's charismatic, humble, and quiet. Although his looks are not on the level of a model it's enough to make any girl fall for him with his capability.

At seven years old, he already learned how to be calm and decisive, he chose to improve himself since he understood the importance of many things at a young age.

In different fields, he excelled at them. Nothing really made his life hard.

At the age of nine, he already got his first fangirl. Her name was Felicia and she would follow him everywhere, regardless of time, location, and occasion. 

But Cass would get angry at her when she takes it to the extreme, such as: following Cass to the restroom or watching him sleep, so even with her obsessiveness, she restrained herself.

And so, by the age of nine, he already got his first stalker…

When he reached thirteen, he could literally take care of himself. He can make money as easy as picking sand at a beach. Cass became independent from his parents but he really never sought riches so he took his job casually and invested here and there where he knew will be successful.

And finally, four years later, at the present time, he became humble not because he is kind but he doesn't want much attention.

His only friend was his "childhood friend", Felicia, who is, for your information, a super-rich girl. A real-life princess who gets everything she wants, everything except Cass.

However, there is one thing Cass consider a bother, being low-key wasn't looking well for him.

He was already placed on the news in his childhood a few times even without him showing live.

Even Cass couldn't control the word that got out. When the students found out they have a "celebrity" in their school who never once flaunts and lives a humble life, they already regard him as an idol.

Cass was greatly recognized by many, making him popular. They realized how quiet he is despite his capability. The girls started to notice him and easily fall for a guy like him.

As a result:

Ding ding ding*

"Cass!", by the end of the first day of being a freshman in the Grelan Academic Facility which was a home for gifted people, and also rich kids, Felicia slammed the door open to see Cass sleeping by the window.

The soft sunlight from the burrowing sun enveloped Cass's gentle figure as he slept.

Felicia held both her cheeks and wiggled as she walked, screaming in her head, 'Kyaaaahh!!!'

But after looking at Cass's sleeping face for almost five minutes, she remembered that she had something important to say.

'But should I wake him up?', Felicia doesn't want to disturb her sleeping prince.

She shook her head, "But I am a princess, I shouldn't disturb a gentleman.", she flickered her long eyebrows, looking like a fair maiden, "My only gentleman.", but soon, she disturbed the gentle scene by her eyes shining and becoming like a hungry lion:

She then jumped aggressively, "My only chance to touch him wherever I want!", disregarding all the princess-stuff.

But she was unsuccessful as her face was blocked by a palm.

"…. touch who wherever you want???", Cass woke up with his hair combed by his fingers, making him stunningly delicious and stunningly stunning!

Felicia gulped and answered, "You, of course, I would die before I plan to touch anyone else other than you.", as if her answer was proof of innocence.

The hand that was fixing his bit-messy hair became a tool to face slap himself as he sighed, ".. you don't need to answer that in a complete sentence… and please, deny it instead of answering in the first place."

"Why would I?", Felicia held Cass' hands, "But more importantly, I have something important to tell you that is important!"

"What?", Cass ignored his hand being held as if he doesn't care anymore and was inured to the princess' whimsical behavior.

"Cass, I…", Felicia greatly blushed with her cheeks burning in red, "I want you to be mine…"

A whisper that could take any man's heart in a matter of a moment.

The wind blows as spring began between these two unordinary youngsters. The story begins with romance and it ends with romance as it seems. Although many hardships will come through, these two lovers may find peace, comfort, and love with each other. They will live a merry one with their merry family with no less than twenty children living in a rural and hidden area where nobody could disturb them.

"No.", Cass strongly said while massaging his own forehead, "… and stop creating stories in your head for the twelfth time…"

Felicia pouted and shook her head in denial, "That is the future, not a story I just made up!"

"….."

The princess just smiled in confidence before changing the topic:

"And why are you sleeping in class?", Felicia wrinkled her forehead.

By then Cass showed a soft smile and his tone changed, a little.

"School is useless for me and so, I use the time to sleep to regain my energy to read."

"Then why go to school?", Felicia murmured a comment.

"After all that, it is still better than back at home."

"The last time, you said it was because the cafeteria's meals were too delicious to be ignored?", Felicia made a suspicious look.

"No, I said it was because of the free food. I am not going to waste my scholarship.", Cass smirked.

"Ohhh, the thinking of a genius. When will I ever understand you?", Felicia tried to hug Cass as if it was normal in the flow of the conversation.

But Cass stood.

But Felicia still hugged him.

But Cass… ignored it and took his backpack and a pocketbook within it.

As he exited his classroom like a tree with a persistent koala, he walked through a wide and luxurious hall unbefitting of a school but a castle.

Cass didn't complain since he knew it would be pointless and Felicia's weight was practically nothing for him.

He even felt his clothes were being bitten from time to time. Which is weird but in Felicia's defense, she couldn't help herself.

They've been together for almost eight years and the fact that they are not officially a couple or a couple at all, is definitely a weird one.

Both were weird, one that is madly in love to another that stayed resilient for eight years even after being rejected every day, and the second who is also weird if not weirder, he who can stay adamant on rejecting every man's dream girl as if it was nothing for eight years!

Both of them knew that Cass is not interested in the same sex or is turned off by Felicia. The reason for the status quo is a bit strange and complicated.

The koala popped her head out to see the serious Cass who was reading.

She asked, "So that's the book you saved energy for?"

Cass simply nodded, immersed in the book.

"Is it really better than me?"

Cass disregarded the baseless and illogical complaint.

"This is a new book I recently got in an underrated shop."

"Underrated shop… you mean Sel's Bookstore?", Felicia smiled.

Cass looked at her with suspecting eyes, "Sometimes I don't know how you were able to follow me without me knowing."

Felicia dropped down from Cass since she was getting tired from hugging. She even wiped her sweat with Cass's clothes which made her received a pinched on her cheek.

"So you went to some small store because you already read all the books in the school library?", Felicia couldn't believe her own words since the Grelan's Library has almost all the books in the country.

"Yeah, fantasy books and I am extremely choosy. There are just a few books in the library that suited my taste.", Cass smirked.

"Extremely choosy but I know you bought three books from that store.", Felicia shook her head.

"It's a trilogy…", Cass explained nonchalantly.

"What's the story about?"

"It's called The Holy Queen and it has a pretty interesting premise."

Because of the size of the school, both Cass and Felicia just reached the school gate after a quarter of an hour.

"There was once a pure girl who was chosen by the Gods to become the one who guided the people into heaven. She became the Holy Queen of the strongest kingdom and there she waits for her adulthood to officially take the role of the Holy Queen."

"…hmmm.."

"What?"

"So what's the problem of the story?"

Cass looked at the back of the book's cover and continued, "I don't know but maybe because of demons."

"… of course, demons…", Felicia nodded.

Cass sighed, he too didn't know what caught his interest in this book for him to buy the whole trilogy.

"Currently, the Holy Queen sets out her men to find the hidden demons all over her kingdom. There is one guard who was caught…."

"And?", Felicia was interested only because of Cass not in the book.

"The next page is bl-", before Cass finished his sentence, a bright light swallowed his vision unwarned.

Cass traveled unknowingly through something the mind of a human cannot fathom. His emotions whirled and his mind was on the brink of madness. It is clear that this was not suitable for a human.

But the "travel" did not take long as Cass regained back his senses feel heat surrounding his.

Sweat uncomfortable pouring all over his body. The smooth wind that comes with little things that irritate his skin. Fatigue pierced his whole body, especially on the leg.

Then his sense of hearing came back as he heard multiple footsteps on sand, heavy footsteps.

"This demon might have a trick up his sleeve. Demons don't surrender quietly."

A hoarse voice came to him and finally, his sense of sight came back. 

There he saw were metal bars that imprisoned him and behind that was the vast land of sand.

A horse neighed in front of him that took his attention.

"The Holy Queen will never be wrong that this man is a demon."

A Holy Queen, revered by the lands and one with the Heavens met the only obstacle in her life.

Series creator George Lucas initially wrote the series' main villain as separate from Luke Starkiller's father Annikin [sic]. Various combinations of names for the character were built upon the phrase "Dark Water". Then Lucas "added lots of last names, Vaders and Wilsons and Smiths, and [he] just came up with the combination of Darth and Vader." So... I've recently been looking over my old notes and realised... Why am I writing this story when the prequel: Battlefield Restart 2- An Ascendance Beyond Greatness, has yet to be written?

I've wrote three versions of the beginning arc of Battlefield Restart 2 but have been putting this story off because I wanted to get it done perfectly the first time. It is supposed to be a perfect blend between Epic Fantasy and Xianxia, featuring the story of how the 'Ultimate God' in this story became so powerful and why the Death Attribute no longer exists in the setting of this story.

Thinking about it realistically, I'd be able to easily write this story and make an even more epic third entry of the trilogy if I focused on the first two before writing this, as then I could discreetly allow elements and characters to pass into this story.

The first entry is... kinda unique in how it's too full of itself in being an exploration about identity and self. It has a lot of re-contextualising moments in it but the story is all over the place due to me losing focus on what kind of audience I'm writing for.

The second entry is where I can probably make up for the lacklustre first entry by making it into the Epic Fantasy audiences want to read. There are a lot of things I've been thinking about but first I'm going to ask around on which 'introductory chapters' are better and where I should start this seriously plotted out story I'd planned for a year.

Hopefully, you guys will see it in it's completed form. I know making the second entry before the first entry is as weird as trying to start from the beginning but since both the first and second entry are only loosely connected. I think it's fine.

Battlefield Restart- An Identity Beyond Self will stay incomplete until I've written Battlefield Restart 2- An Adventure Beyond Greatness. Hopefully, I can learn from this new writing style I've been using for this third entry and make characters develop.

The story is the third entry in the trilogy of Battlefield Restart but is being written as the direct sequel instead. The events of Battlefield Restart 2- An Adventure Beyond Greatness, are contained so there isn’t much to be missed by skipping it.

This novel is about an Author being sent into the nightmarish world he writes due to his destiny. The main character of BR 2 appears but isn’t focused on much, as this is about the Omniscient Writer’s story.

Vol. 0 is skippable and isn’t essential to the story as a whole. Only something there for extra info.

I'm really sorry if the novel ended the way as it is. However, I still hope that you enjoyed reading this story.

How to save a star was intended to be my 'first' novel and not a short story. I was pretty determined to even write a trilogy for it but I just can't continue writing this when I feel like much of the plot was unrealistic and many parts were so cringe-worthy that I wanted to hang myself. In the end, I decided to end this story and rewrite it back to square one. As of publishing this short story, I have two projects at hand that I really wanted to publish. First, Dying Stars, which is the complete rework of this story. I have written a detailed outline of the story, the characters, and their history so I'm hoping that Dying Stars will be the final edition of this story that I really wanted to write, given that this story had already been recycled thrice.  Second is a secret, but it's an ongoing fantasy series that I write under a different pen name and it's receiving a relatively good feedback.

"Do you know that stars die?" I asked, breaking the silence. I didn't know where the question came from, but that's the only thing that came in mind.
"Yeah," he answered. "And some stars we see in the sky may be already dead. But they're so far away that their afterglow can still be seen above. Some of them may seem glowing but they're actually dead."

We all have a little gallery of photographic memories inside our hearts. An exhibit of things we could never forget through our short moments in time. Some were so good, we held it like they were the best part of our lives while some were things we desperately ran away from － they hunted us, and killed our hopes.
The beginning of my life ended on my tenth birthday, the day when my childhood was stolen away from me. I longed to run away from that nightmare that held me tightly in my neck and made helpless under its grasp.
Going to college had become my final chance to run away. On my seventeenth birthday, after enrolling at a university, my life took another shift. I met a man who showed me the glimmer of hope I always wanted to see. And this was our story. A narration of first love, bittersweet and worthwhile.

I would like to apologize for stopping this series. Although I enjoy making it, I don't have enough time. I'm working on two books at once. I tried to balance my time between them, but now both are turning out bad because I'm splitting my time. I love this story, but this was supposed to be a side project, not my main project. I got into writing by making part one of a trilogy series. I promised myself I would finish it and publish through traditional means. I intend to keep that promise. So that leaves us here, at the end of this project. Again, I'm sorry to all who are reading this. I got your hopes up and now I'm letting you down. I can only say that it was fun. "Isn't this a little too extra? I mean, I know i'm slow and stupid but not THAT stupid." 

Qing Shu rolled her eyes. Sometimes this author of hers overreacted way too much. The powerpoint wasn't even reserved for her.

"This isn't for you. This is for a meeting later that the board has arranged, which by the way, you're a part of." 

Jiao Li sat down on the swivel chair and leaned back. "I wasn't informed about the meeting." 

"When have you ever been informed?" 

Jiao Li's mouth parted in reply but no response came out. In the end, she only nodded in reply. "Okay, that's true."

Although she can be considered a veteran in the industry with a decade of experience, beause she had only published her book in the recent years, the majority of their fellow workers still considered her a newbie, except for some close friends and the board. 

In this day and age, where e-literature has already made a big impact on society, the amount of books being bought lessened and young, aspiring authors would always find it hard to sell a bestseller.

Which is why Jiao Li can be considered a great author with the rate at which her books sells. Qing Shu would always have to reprimand her to pay way more attention than she should because of hr status. 

While she may be considered a newbie, insiders would think otherwise.

"So, here's our agenda today. I've already printed out your schedule and deadlines for your new book and the event." Qing Shu spoke as she pulled out a thick binder from her bag.

Jiao Li frowned. "So thick?" 

"Don't complain. You've been out for a week, it's only expected that your schedule is going to be packed." 

She inwardly cried. Her absence from work had turned to bite her back in the butt. It would take a while to adjust to her new schedule.


"Oh and," Qing Shu said as she pulled out her phone. "You have to go and meet the host for the event." 

Jiao Li looked confused. "There's a host for this kind of thing?" 

Qing Shu shook her head. "It's because I planned to overlap it with an art exhibition on the same day." 

"You'll be planning the layout of the place with the host and the designs. Don't worry, the company will shoulder the costs. It's the least they can do." 

"But wouldn't that be a bother? I mean, aren't art exhibitions supposed to be super fancy and for the rich? Besides, the theme of the art exhibition and my book might clash." 

In truth, Jiao Li had absolutely no problems with the event itself, but the date. She had to find something that can be a viable excuse to push back the event. 

Qing Shu shook her head and gave her a pointed look. "Don't think I don't know what you're doing. And i'll tell you now, it's not going to work." 

Jiao Li drooped her head. "Damn…." 

"Don't complain. Now go home and read over the schedule. The meeting is tomorrow afternoon so be sure to be on time." 

Qing Shu pushed Jiao Li out of the room and slammed the door behind her.

Jiao Li pouted and clutched the thick binder in her arms.

"This is going to be a long week."

Inside Changdong Museum.

The entirety of the inside of the building had been covered in plastic with wooden boxes and tape. The paint had been redone to match the exhibition's theme and the lights were swapped out to accentuate the centerpieces.

In the midst of the construction, a tall man with a lean stature held a small blueprint in hand followed by another man who kept blabbering on as he analyzed where the pieces should go.

"Why did you drag me here again? I'm supposed to be working," Chen Mo whined as he childishly stomped his feet.

Yi Ru stopped in his tracks and turned to look at the childish man whom he's been friends with for almost a decade. He then gave him a pointed look.

"Who owes me a favor?" 

They locked gazes for a few seconds before Chen Mo looked away. 

"I do," he grumbles.

"And what does that mean?" 

"I have to follow your orders..." 

Chen Mo sighed in frustration. His wife was going to kill him if she ever found out that she skipped work. Again. 

He would have nowhere to go home to. To seek refuge. Even his own family might not help him. A job such as an engineer invested a lot of time and effort, and he himself was currently in peril over the two.

Not only is he being forced to skip the work he equally loves so much, but he also has to face the wolf's sharp fangs and intense gaze that made him shudder in submission.

Meanwhile, Yi Ru let out a small smile. 

It hasn't even been a month since he came back. And yet he was already so busy with setting up the exhibition. Everything had to be perfect! 

He had already miraculously persuaded the publishing company to have one of their authors, which happens to be the one he's looking for, and manage to host both their events on the same day.

He had prepared for this moment ever since he read her first book, which wasn't even registered under the same name, online in a website he used to read novels in. The only reason he had managed to deduce that the author of that book online and the trilogy was their use of the word, sunflower.

It had been a key point in all of the books and always referenced it with the main character, albeit very subtle. So subtle that even her own dedicated fans might not notice the minuscule amount of attention to details.

"Go check out the painters to see if they can finish the walls by tomorrow," Yi Ru waved him away as he continued down the room where a larger space with two walls in the middle had been placed.

Two large centerpieces had been decided to go there. With both having the sunflower as a prevailing piece.

He had wanted to make it perfectly match the story in a way that could capture the emotions and feelings the author had wanted to display to the characters.

It was one way of his to say thank you to the wonderful author who wrote the book.

As he began to imagine meeting the very same person who inspired this exhibit, Yi Ru's smile unconsciously grew wider as his eyes crinkled with delight.

Jiang Shan prefers to be left alone, leaving her with fewer friends than her peers.

After starting senior year, she is determined to spend her days at home to think about her plans for the future.

The strained relationship with her family, her unstable mental health, a complicated relationship with a boy, playing her part in the student council, and studying for the coming entrance exams.

All of this had been managed to be swept up in a storm called Yang Mu.

- This story is mainly related to the game, but it's in a different universe, where it's the same character, but with additional characters added, with a different story, and different outcome, hence why it's called an AU.
- This has nothing to do with IF (Inverted Fate, which is a very cool, neat story written by Dorked), and it's not an AU in another AU. The name sounds like it's from IF, but it's not.
- This is the first out of the trilogy of Consoled Fate Origins. After that is routes for CF (like genocide, pacifist and neutral routes).
- It's a work in progress, sorry. Ya gonna have to wait.
- This book WILL contain some slang, and unnecessary words (also known as swear words). Please read at your caution.
- Now, a lot of people might complain about the fact that Chara is a girl. Technically, the gender is not classified, so I'm just going with the random. Sorry if it disturbs or dissatisfied you (and no, not anything related to LGBTQ).
- Sorry for short chapters. Just the way I write.
- Sorry for plot-holes. I'll try to get those fixed up and explained thoroughly to solve any misconceptions. Please ask away if you're confused at any part!

* The concept of this AU, as I said before, is in the story of Undertale, the original game. An AU, or an Alternate Universe, is a universe where all the characters have same characteristics of the original game, but different story, and named locations. An Alternative Timeline is simply the story of Undertale, still, except there is a change in a timeline that basically creates a new story, with the same character. The story Consoled Fate though, is really in the middle, as there is a "change" in the timeline, but the change in the timeline changed the whole story, and the characters with different characteristics, and the story itself. So really, there is not an official way to say how Consoled Fate is, AU or AT. I have trouble trying to determine the possibility of the route of the story as I'm a 14 years old trying to write this. So after thinking about this topic for quite some time, I decided to called this story an alternate universe timeline, as it combines the concept of both types of story. The story here is 100% by me (besides that Undertale recreation part) although there might be some parts where it might sound like copying, but I really did this by myself.

* A lot of these concepts are also drawn (although I'm not good at art), and sometimes stories can be redrawn into a comic or animated. I would love to animate sections of the story, but I just need to learn about animating. Feel free to do artwork/redraws/comics! I would love to see your creativity!

* This was all mainly all by me, but was inspired from the good part of the Undertale community, and the beautiful game itself, I suppose. The idea of creating an AU was already in mind for me the day I watched these Undertale's creative world, where it has a nice written story, and a solid plot. These good side of the community helped me to take an inspirational step, and create this story right here. I also enjoyed writing a lot about fiction, so I thought writing this would be a perfect idea for a bored 14 years old to do. All the plot was laid out by me, and the art concept (which can be found later on) was also by me. The idea though, didn't come from me. It came from the respected owner of Undertale (whom was Toby "Radiation" Fox), and the creators of these awesome Undertale communities. That's what made me decide to do this.

* The story is always going through revisions and therefore, not all events are officials. The roles for later books can be changed, which causes the story to take a different route.
