After the invasion on Earth, AD 2948, many children and adults lost their lives of got injured. A young girl, Hazel, and her friends decided to take revenge for the many lives of Earth and to banish Saturn from returning. The fictional tale includes sci - fi, possibly romance, and a lot of fantasy. How would they take back Earth? Would they get caught? How are they going to survive? There are loads of questions to ask but, most books have a happy ending? Will this one have one too?

Eren watched his mama(maybe stepmother?) straighten and shaping his hair in the morning. He tried to rest assuredly but it was painful.

  His grandfather, sitting next to Yuzu, was deep in thought. With a sly smile, he forget to help the little boy.

The old man who appeared in the late '50s and early' 60s, looked at his grandson, stared with amusement and smiled. Deeply he hoped that his grandson would have a good totem, openly praying to all the gods and even started praying a second time. 

Actually he prayed a lot to Arya, the goddess of war, and Oz, the god of fortune, for whom he had trusted most.

As a child in his past, he prayed to his own blessing for this specific event, but did not get a good result. But he was hopeful to help his grandson and make amends for god's past mistakes. 

  At the end of Eren's final image, Yuzu decided to take a sigh of relief. When two adult father girls were very excited, Eren knew something was going on, but he didn't know the exact details.

"They're taking me to a wedding for sure. I didn't like the weddings in Earth and now I'm back to this dumb chaotic event again.

The stakes that this life put in my ass, just dont end!!. "

While Eren was passing through these thoughts, he touched his head and hair which Yuzu woven carefully from behind. Eren had as much hair as the even winds could no longer blow.

In the small mesh formed behind him, black hair with white tufts was seen.

Eren was 2 years old this year.

 In the past year, his hair had grown so fast that even the ones who saw him very often were astonished.

In addition, his height and body was normal for a two-year-old, but his balance and excellence when using his body were as good as those of adults. 

 Eren was always "Weird" for those in Sisna Village and In the last year, this truth hasn't changed.

Anyway..

 Eren walked to the center of the village, tugged at his mother's hand and opened his arms. Clearly, he meant "take me in the lap" without embarrassment.

Quickly slid into Yuzu's perfect lap and feel nice wrapped betweent white and sexy arms, Eren slowly looked down into where they went.

 At the end of the village, a lot of people were walking to the forest.

A few minutes later he had left the village with her mother and grandfather. This trip was the first time Eren left the boundry of Sisna Village in this life. It meant a lot, also it meant not even a shit to him. I t was a anormal paradox for a new born modern person like Eren. 

Slowly they crossed the bridge and walked into the forest.

Everyone was silently going up the road by the forest. Approximately they get in 500 meters into a thin and freakish path.

It was a long  and narrow clearance between the wooden trees and the corridor. The hallway of who knows where path- didn't go on too much and it turned right.

From a few steps to this time again, there was a turning point on the inside of the forest, and this path continued a while.

 They were constantly walked in zigzags. At some point while walking up and down, right and left ; finally they saw a certain gate in the trees.

"Holy Shit!"

Eren almost cursed before forcely closing his mouth!!

 After not doing that zigzags, they walked for the last time and enter in this huge gap.

This place was closed like a house or cocoon. It was a perfectly rounded place with no other entrances except for the point they entered.

   There were walls between thick and long trees that a person couldn't fit even literary. The trees were perfectly lined up and formed this round area.

Eren was very curious to see which crazy bastard planted these trees to create this unneccessery perfect round. It was cool but really a dumb way to kill your time.

And the oddities didn't end with the trees or rounded place.

 The roof on the hill was in the form of a dome covered by the leaves of the trees. The leaves and branches didn't even come down from one place, only the vines seemed to be hanging down 5-10 inches down from the roof. But thats it. 

At some point, even Eren started to believe maybe..just maybe this place may be not been created by a crazy lunatic. 

The sunlight was very bright from the back of the dome and was covered with a dim, but illuminating the place perfectly. This place was too perfect to be formed by the human hand. A strange aura was spreading to the room from the light. It was like this even this light was enought to awaken and relax your soul.

Eren saw the people scattered all over the place except the middle of the area. Many Grandi People from the village sat down on the ground. 

There were only two other children from the village. Both of them had very beautiful blond hair that was shining and they were seated near a small rock in the middle of the circle.

 Eren let Yuzu walk into the center of the circle and release him from her lap. Her mother like Yuzu, leaned over Eren's ear with a small smile.

"Wait here, Khan, and do what other children do when it's your turn."

Eren wanted to say that he wanted to use "Eren" as his name when more time passed. But he didn't object for her mother's name choice for now.

"Khan"

The name of the person he used to be would definitely object this cool name. Being yourself is an important thing for a loser. Eren even think that if he accept the new name, he would start to chance in this dumb planet. 

But he still decided to endure for Yuzu. He was tied up to this hot mama even as much as he expect.

 Yuzu went to his father's side trying to conceal the worry with a smile. She was brought here when she was a kid, and she attended a similar blessing years ago.

  "Blessing" was something every child, who could speak, was able to enter at least once.

 It was kind of like finding out what could be hidden in the children. But the children should have started talking and should usually be at least 3-4 years old.



Yuzu brought Eren, who was two years old, to join the blessing even though he was small. But there was now a little bit hesitation in her after seeing other big boy now.

The other child was a girl who at least four. Even the smaller boy was 3.5 years old. 
They both knew things were happening. Not only was there noticeable excitement in the girl, but she was not scared at all. 

Yuzu, seeing that the children were waiting without any trouble as they knew what would happen, began to regret and hesitate.


   In general, families want children to come to this special place knowing what this blessing is. Every child should have a memory that they will never forget. Therefore, children are not brought in at very young ages. Otherwise, children can blame their families and get angry. After all, "blessing" is an important moment for everyone on this planet.


Although everyone saw Eren as a little baby, there was something in his eyes and his gaze that an unconscious child should not have. Eren was not ashamed. On the contrary, he kept looking around as if he were understanding everything.

Yes he was only two years old, but the other two children next to him were only the body. Eren's gaze was full of intelligence. Apparently he immediately understood the event and was waiting with patient eyes.

   Eren thought to himself;

"This place looks like a magical world. It's obvious that the peasants, including my mother, have long ears. They remind me of the Elves.

The religious place between these trees confirms my prediction.

  What do they mean by "blessings" or "things that can be within us"? I wonder if I don't want to look ignorant. I wonder why my mother didn't explain it to me. "



Eren looked at Yuzu and made strange eyebrow eyebrows. He meant "Wtf?"with his eyes but Yuzu did not answer him, even closed his eyes excitedly began to pray.

 He liked science fiction from books he'd read in his old life.

"Am I going to see some magical things later?" Eren wanted to see the event with the fantasy-science fiction ideas. He even thought about big chief J. R. R. Tolkien. 

But the Show didn't start. Obviously everyone in the rounded place would wait others to come.

About ten to fifteen minutes later, everyone in the village came. Adults circled and surrounded the children. Looks like everybody was so excited. Eren was thoroughly curious about what would have happened.

Munmer, the manager of the village, appeared from a location close to the entrance and walked towards the children.

 People split into two sides to make Munmer pass and the circle was closed again. Executive Munmer slowly stepped to the children and waited as if preparing himself for a few seconds.
He began to speak in a loud voice trying to increase his voice as much as he could.


"The reason we are here today is to pay our respects to the ancient gods who sacrificed themselves for us, and those of us who now protect us from dangers."

Everyone in the crowd whistled once. At first, Eren whispered slowly but did not curse! Realizing that the people did it to show respect and approval.

Maybe it was strange, but their respects could be seen from their faces.

The manager continued immediately,

 "One of the oldest gods, the Sky-God Atlas, saw that the human in the world were very weak against creatures, demons, and even neutral angels.

He created these altars to protect ourselves and to understand the power in the world we live in!

Just like our ancestors before us, we tested our potential at this altar and tested whether we had power. "


Immediately after this statement, the manager turned his eyes to the children and pointed at them with his right hand.

"Now we have to wait for a new generation to be tested and believe that the gods are thinking the best for us.

We are their generation and they will always help us to live good lives!"


Eren didn't understand the word "we're their generation." But when he thought a bit, he knew the gods were meant.

He also suspected whether the entire conversation was written by Munmer. Because if what he said was real, he could have prepared a speech that was more cool and impressive.

But with a strong voice, he admitted that Munmer had a nice talk. Maybe he had a talent for this kind of speeches.

 After a few seconds, everyone whistled again. Eren's ears were disturbed, but disturbing events had just begun.

 A strange thing was brought by a woman who came to the manager. There was a big knife inside and it didn't look so sweet. If the point is mentioned again ... a huge knife!


Maybe because Eren was sitting on the ground with his teeny body and was still a baby, he saw a normal sized knife in large dimensions. But Eren was convinced that religious events and knives wouldn't be too cool.

"Fuck the fantasy…screw you guys, I am going home!"
At least he wanted to say this. But..

Eren came up with a lot of unnecessary blooded details from the Earth. The zombies awaken from the graves and the human blood swallowed slowly for sacrifices to monsters. He remembered the 3d movies which has ridiculous ceremonies for demons.

While Eren was in a daze..

The woman handed the knife to Munmer and folded the gland and went back to where it came from.

  Now everyone was focused on children and Munmer. The manager, Munmer, focused on the girl who was the oldest child in the place, and called out.

"Wyen, come here.

Eren just startled lightly. If he was given an opportunity, he would turn away and run away from this fantastic shit. He was confident that, he would break the running time record of Usain Bolt, as he was running!!!

"I shouldn't be a baby! AAAAAHHHHHH .... Oh I'm just a fuc…. baby. These maniacs gather elf children and shoot +18 documentaries for the sky-gods with their bloody knives !!

How did I get here? How!!!

I hate fantasy. I seriously hate these motherf...…%+&/(*!^'....."

But these words were in vain…

*I died as thinking what would've happened if I lived one more time.

Without any friends, without laughter at all, and I'm sure I've never been loved.

No god, no angel, no family, no friend.. Nobody helped me! --- Not even one tiny miracle showed like the movies and books showed us!

I realized that there is no miracle, good luck or perfect coincidences in this life. I gave up of those crap.

Aura thought that everyone's dismissal of the game's lore strange.

Yeah sure it was just a game, but most fantasy games had at least some sort of lore that wasn't just information on the monsters or skill usage and techniques.

There were some who pursued the hidden lore and lost histories in Ascendance, but no organizations, no guilds, there wasn't even a proper library for history.

Most libraries in Ascendance just contained info on areas, monsters, items and more info.

Only a kingdom's royal library contained anything history related, and that was at most diaries of famous individuals from the past.

The only other place one could find history was in the various churches scattered across the land, and again, they only had diaries or accounts of myths.

Otherwise, history was passed on orally.

If you consider the fact that any written account of the era would one day simply disappear, it did make a little sense that nobody bothered, but that information could still last for thousands of years.

It didn't help that Forgotten Industries had publicly stated that the game was more to help people have fun and blow off steam than it was to have players explore the fascinating history of a fantasy world.

Not to mention that if one wanted interesting stories, there were plenty of fiction books in the bookstores you could find in every city in the entire realm.

To put things simply, the only books you could find in the entire game were works of fiction, encyclopedias, and diaries.

There were also the research documents that you could find in the personal stashes of mages and other magically inclined individuals, but those were mostly factored under the 'diary' section.

Even the book that documented the travels and studies of godhood that Aura had found was little more than an encyclopedia with specialized knowledge bordering on a diary of the author's personal researches.

Admittedly, a great amount of historical information could be gleaned from the categories of books stated above, but it wasn't something an individual could parse out.

Which was why only large guilds even bothered searching for tidbits of useful knowledge in libraries.

It was way easier just to ask an elf, or some other long lived species.

Even a high leveled human would know more about history than the books.

This could be considered as another reason why history wasn't written down, but this was obviously a bad idea.

High leveled individuals had a tendency to be weirdos.

Long lived species tended to isolate themselves and distrust outsiders.

If you asked the former about history, there was no guarantee you wouldn't just be told a bunch of random bullshit designed to see how much you would believe.

If you asked the latter, you were likely to be given a polite 'fuck off' and then not get an answer at all.

This was probably best described as brilliant world design.

Weirdos lived forever (which probably explained why the gods all had strange personalities), and those who did live long lives and weren't completely insane were loners.

There were exceptions, but for the most part, humans were completely ignorant of the world they lived in.

There were also a ton of them.

The only reason humans had survived for any length of time in the world of Ascendance was almost certainly due to the fact that most monsters preferred to stay away from areas with high concentrations of life energy.

And since humans were brimming with life, they were avoided by monsters.

Lucky them.

Only one item he planned to make would require the core, as it just didn't have much use to him.

So what if he could make small changes to large areas at once, he didn't even have a large area to change in the first place.

Morning was cold, and was always cold. He had somehow amalgamated with his blanket, as he snuggled up to it, feeling like his clothing on his bare body inside.The howling gale outside the window was the scariest at dawn, till the sun rose and warmed the city, he was much able to get out of his "cave". It was preciously his weekend, thus it would be reasonable to slack on the-

And he hopped off the bed.
His body wobbled.

The sudden vibration on my phone was always more exciting than anything else. Seeing the notification popping on the screen was as satisfying as seeing a slice of black forest sitting on the plate in obedience. Both of them signified hope, potential, an upcoming joy.

A feast to behold.

The messages came knocking on my place occasionally, like truly a once-in-a-blue moon. I must admit, I was not the outstanding celeb in the group for I did not have rows and rows of notifications obstructing my lovely wallpaper on the lock screen, I too did not have a red spot with growing numerical figures on the top right corner of the application. I know my policy, I always open them immediately upon arrival, since these messages were like wrapped gifts left at my doorstep after a gentle knock on the door reminding me that there was a surprise. So I, like most of the unboxing Vloggers online, coveted the entire process from claiming, unwrapping, playing to discarding. One by one. 

It was so exciting that it almost feels like Christmas.

They had hardly come in flocks for me however - depressing but reasonable. I was never in a position to bargain or whatsoever. My stakes were solely silence and an abundance of feelings, all sealed airtight inside a leaking soul. I was also forgiving, with a thinking vast like the sea, deep and profound like the sea. It felt like I could accept almost everything, yet I was just an overlooked individual on the Nearby list. Well, you could just imagine a poorly wrapped present with fantastic contents inside.

Alright, enough talking, I should start looking at my messages now. 
Here goes nothing!

Never mind.
It was notification of some news I don't really care. 
Whether if some men died brutally, I muted the Tweet.

I sprang off my bed with my phone slid back into my pocket. It was the switch where I turned off my excitement when part of my routine of waiting for something to happen ended up with nothing happened as usual. Sometimes I was told to make something happen instead, but I would not want to be accused of being aggressive since proactivity, initiative, impatience, neediness, whatever one may call it would be presumed as a kind of aggression today. Don't ask me why. That was what I saw. Hence, I would stay quiet and I would be protected. 

Secrecy is the best policy. 

The room was dimly lit. I should pull the curtains away and let the sun shine through the window. But it was a cloudy day. "Oh well." Mumbled me as I closed up the curtain again and retreated to the living room. A pressure was set upon my knee, as the stack of books collapsed along with the boxes on them. I must admit I was a little clumsy and I sometimes would trip on something, the books for instance. I did have a rack, which had been fully occupied by the senior citizens of the book world however. Well, the new members should always show tolerance and respect towards elderly by letting out the best corner of the comfort zone - exactly as what I was taught in school, the ultimate rule of courtesy. Anyway, my room was not airy to begin with. It was fortunate nevertheless, as I would not feel lonely with friends of these many awaiting my return in the room daily. I stacked the books and boxes back exactly how they were. The back was cramping from the weight it got to withstand. I got back from the realm as the phone vibrated again, several times in a roll. The door squeaked as I opened it slowly. I peeked through the gap.

Father was taking a rest on the couch. Mother was not home yet it seemed… Luckily I did not slam the door open, it was tempting to do but painful to bear. Father never fancied these "rash" behaviors he called. I walked straight to the outside. I walked down the long and winding stairs, as I took the chance to have a glimpse at the graffiti on the wall. It was the codex between me and partners, where within those patches of bold colorfulness there would be a corner of scribbles containing messages. Well, in today's world we could have created a secret group and talked as irresponsibly as we wished there. But what's the fun of it? We do enjoy the full privacy ever since the new Data Protection Act was enforced. Adults would never find out the exchanges we made online. But again, what's the fun of it? 

My phone vibrated again. 
Strange, it was beyond my usual amount of messages daily. 
Had I ascended as a socialite?
If I had, when? And how?

…

Leaned against the fence, I glanced at the incoming messages. Instantly I replied each and everyone patiently. Yes, including those without a picture, with an empty profile, sending those unsolicited hollow regards. These mysterious men could be a surprise once in a while, like who knows? They were the discreet. And they never disappointed me. They could be gorgeous, they could be cute, like shy-cute. They are fun to talk to, especially when you have gained their trust, making them reveal themselves gradually, it felt as if their coat of armor fell off pieces by pieces, eventually stripping them naked. How exciting. They are also easygoing. They are easy to deal with. So I understand, considering how there are a handful of shy people in the society. There should be also a handful of shrinking violets in confusion on the app as well. I was one of them in fact. When you let the cat out of the bag, it would be letting the cataclysm out of Pandora's box. It should be a secret that no one should know, no matter how modernized the society had transformed into. 

It is and always would be my deepest, darkest little secret. 

With my thoughts running exceptionally smooth today, the conversation went unexpectedly well. The other person surprisingly remained interested. Good, I could already smell love in the air. We exchanged pictures. And as I have mentioned before, the faceless profiles always hide a surprise at the back. The person looked as kind as he behaved. Oh the ingenuousness, it was extra alluring to me. I swear I could already taste the straightness even from the phone. I would love to fondle his beard and salivate at the pheromone wafted throughout his body. I was so electrified that I uncontrollably made a few skips on the pavement as I sauntered. The cafe owner at the window must be wondering what had gone wrong with me. Well I frequented his cafe, I think he cares, doesn't he? 

The words the person uttered were chivalrous. I could feel his lips caressing my knuckle. What a lovely man. I was utterly intoxicated by each of his messages. He seemed educated and had apparently perused the beauty of literature, both fiction and non-fiction, of a variety of advanced genres ranging from the post-apocalyptic sci-fi, dystopia fantasy to horror melodrama. He also had a great taste in music. He would hum Joker Face or A Plausible when he was doing gym; Die to Live or With You when he was in a cafe and Bedroom Carols as he strolled the street, like me! His alarm tone was seemingly Mille Raisons. I was so amazed by his fandom. It was one-of-a-kind, I complimented. To top it all, he was merely a few miles away - not too far for yearning and not too close for clinging. 

Just like most of the guys I had come across.

A well-educated man shone bright like a knight in shiny armor coming off from his trusty steed and approached a nobody like me. A man such kind was rare, you could only find a few tens of them in the proximity of few miles on the app. Of course it had boiled to a situation where an "I do" could escape from my quivering lips anytime. Oh and he said he loved puppies too! Such a coincidence! Oh wait, the person I met before also posted a picture of him hugging his pet puppy.Looked like a lot of our kinds had a soft spot for animals! Most of them expressed the virtue through the pictures in their profile to find companion! We should totally make an animal-loving club after this.

Anything could be possible as long as I have him by my side. Nothing else was important. I stirred the abandoned coffee on my table after sending the key message to him. Yes, I asked him out. I said I just so happened to pass a cafe that I had never been to before nearby. I wanted to share my latest discovery of a great spot so I would like to ask him over. 

As known from a gentleman like him, it was a prompt "yes". 

I was so tensed that my fingers trembled even when I touched the photo of his face on my screen. How perfect. We would have a discussion on the latest album by our favorite singer in common, then maybe we could talk about some of the latest literature works. I had planned everything next in my mind. We would be heading to his place and then we would talk with our heart out. Certainly you could not express everything comfortably in an occupied cafe. A secluded place like home would be perfect for both of us alone. Yes, yes, yes. I think he had a thing for me, that's why he bothered to take on this date!


There he is!

"Hi." 
"Umm… Hi." I looked away as I greeted him, shaking his hands from the seat.
He froze for a second.
"Are... you..."
I looked at him.
He turned out to be one senior from my course...
The one I respected a lot... 
Like he always manages to give amazing insight during discussion... 
"From our course?"
I nodded my head.
"Great."
Smiled he as he sat down.
"I never expected you to be one."
"Well, yeah, I'm a bit discreet for this…" 
His fingers twiddled his shirt.

A year later today should be our anniversary. 
My optimism ran high.

First of all, I would like to thank you. Thanks to the readers, who read my lack of writing; I have finished my fourth book! I'll always remember that.

As I said earlier, this is my fourth book, and I still don't think writing a novel is easy. I always feel this. Personally, I started to feel weak around the 150th chapter. It has not been easy to write since then. I thought it would be better to take six books from the beginning or divide them into two parts and take a break. 

This time, I wrote a series, but I couldn't handle it in the second half. I'm sorry about that. I used to post it on the day I finished my epilogue, but this work has been so hard that I had to take a day off.

It has been the most popular piece of my writing, and at the same time, it was the most regretful piece of work. After writing and posting, I always thought 'I should write something like this,' or 'I should try to develop something like this,' or 'I could write something more specifically here,' or 'I'd like to reduce that a little bit.' 

I work for a company, but I've tried to write, edit, and post it on the Munpia. It has not been easy. When I was writing my previous Master Hunter K, it was really easy to write because I had no job then. I think it was difficult this time because I was always running out of time.

The future news of this article I originally thought of about a year ago. When I wrote my previous novels, I used a theme of going back to the past, a time shift, but I've never written about a future foreseeing, so I made a decision to write this genre if I could. We had a contest in April in Munpia, so I participated in it with this novel.

The motive was a horror cartoon based on future news, which I saw when I was in elementary school. My memory was dim, but in the animation, the main character had a paper newspaper every day, and it had the future news. I decided to convert it into something that would be in line with the Internet news standard.

As you can see, I took the League of Legends rating except for the last two, and Editor and Publisher. I thought they were the sources that I'd take to the end. As the abilities grew, I conceived the idea of the character's power and assets growing together, and I wrote it on the basis of that, before the last two grades.

The last two rating scenarios, the U.S.-China nuclear war, and the rare cancer of his son, were actually must-not subjects in web fiction writing, but I chose them as subjects to showcase the power of the last two parts. In the first place, the main character was so strong that I couldn't pull the story out unless it was that special. It was not bad to finish at around a hundred eighty episodes, but I still had leftover material. So I tried to use it without paying any attention to my grades, since it was material that I would like to release, and a scenario that I wanted to use. I am satisfied, but I'm a little sorry to those of you who have dropped out on the way. 

By getting the last two ratings, the main character has a pure divine ability. Some of you worry about chaos or confusion at the end of the story, but it's just a part that I put in as a cautionary note that the power of this kind of manipulation is so strong that it could destabilize the world if he mismanages it. If the probability is not limited, he can pop his fingers a few times and destroy the world. The main character, Han Sang-hoon, has a pretty wife, a daughter and a son, so he will use it carefully.

From April to November... I feel relieved but sorry to have finished the series after more than half a year. I think I wrote it in my previous reviews that when I was in middle school and high school, I used to read genre novels, but I haven't read any genre novels in the ten years since then. A few years ago, when web novels appeared, I thought there was this new kind of novel, and I became a reader, and a writer, and then wrote four books.

I'm sure many of you remember the genre novels of ten years ago, but there weren't many contemporary fantasies of this kind at that time. Most of the time, I read pure fantasies, martial arts novels, and so on. So, I was going to write that kind of pure fantasy. It's been ten years since I came to the web fiction world, and I found that all the pure fantasies were dead, and there were only a fusion or a modern fantasy. Since the pure fantasy was not popular at all, I tried to write a modern fantasy to see if my writing would work or not.

That's how I have written three novels so far. Except for Master Hunter K, there has been a reversal of the order of host and guest. So, the next novel will go back to its original version, and even if I can't write a pure fantasy, it will go toward a fusion fantasy. Originally, I announced that I would release my next novel as a game fantasy. Due to the nature of the genre novel, I don't think I need to use the game format. So, I'm going to go to a fusion fantasy similar to the previous Master Hunter K.

Now, when I think about it, I think it's a personal achievement and a lucrative hobby. But now I've won a big prize after writing this novel, and I've changed my mind a little bit after getting too much love from you. It is no longer right to write with such amateurish ideas. I will reduce my stubbornness a little bit, and get closer to my readers with a little more professional writing, for the fun of my readers.

So, I'll return to you with the next novel, which reflects that aspect. It's something that readers might like more. In a month or two, after recovering my physical and mental strength, I'll be back after I'm finished with the idea of my next novel.

The Cocker Spaniel that Meng Li brought over was well trained, and didn't bark or wander around everywhere. It lay quietly on the floor, sniffed, blinked its big eyes, and stared at the kitchen of the small restaurant, where the aroma of cooked food was coming from. 
Zhang Zian took a few sips of his orange juice, then thought silently about the letters on the napkin.　　
Since they were talking about science fiction, he remembered a fiction story he'd read in the past. He asked, "Professor Meng, I'm wondering if you've read a short fantasy story, called the Book of Sand?"　　
"Book of Sand?"　　　　
This time, it was Meng Li's turn to feel shocked. He was bending over to comb out his Cocker Spaniel's fur. Cocker Spaniels had naturally curly long fur, which easily tangled and needed frequent combing. Otherwise, they would look sleazy. Besides from studying, his graduate students had another assignment to comb the dog's hair, which made them joke that they were working at a cotton mill.　
Meng Li thought for a while and was certain that this name was unfamiliar. He hadn't read it.　　
"Like I said, I rarely read science fiction. Most of the books I read are about math. You have to keep learning these days, otherwise you'll get outdated very easily." He smiled. "Is this Book of Sand an interesting read?"　　
"No, despite the fact that it's called Book of Sand, it's not an actual book, but a short fantasy story with only 2000 words. The author is the Argentinean writer, Jorge Luis Borges. This is his most recognized work," explained Zhang Zian. He'd read the story a long time ago, but he still remembered it because it was so mind-blowing.  
"Oh?" Meng Li was slightly interested. "In math, brevity is beauty. A story of 2000 words is somehow this author's most recognized work? It must be deep in thought and artistic. What is it about?"　　
Zhang Zian recalled this science fiction story and began retelling it.　　
In the beginning of Book of Sand, the hero was an ordinary man living in an ordinary house. One day, a stranger visited him with a suitcase. The stranger was selling the Bible, but the man was not interested, as he already owned a few Bibles. Then the stranger took out another book. It wasn't a Bible, but the cover read The Holy Book.　　
After flipping open The Holy Book, the protagonist found that the page numbers were odd. They weren't in sequential order, but completely random. Most importantly, the page number of the book was endless, and he could never find the beginning nor the end. New pages always appeared out of nowhere, and the book had pictures like a dictionary.　　
The stranger said that he bought this book from a village. The salesperson called it The Book of Sand, as it was endless like sand.　　
It was a very strange book, but the stranger was willing to sell it to the man at a relatively low price. In fact, he'd wanted to get rid of it for a long time.　　
After getting this book, that man also became its slave. He stopped going out, for he loved the book so much that he couldn't step away from it. He studied it all day and night, because of his obsessive interest in it. He could no longer sleep. And even if he did sleep, he dreamed about it all the time.　　
Like the stranger, the man suddenly realized that his life would be completely ruined if he continued on this way. So he decided to get rid of this nightmare just as the stranger did.　
After getting this far, Zhang Zian suddenly started acting mysterious and asked, "Can you guess how the hero got rid of the book?"　　
Meng Li was completed drawn in by this odd story. He stopped combing the Cocker Spaniel's fur and took a guess. "Did he sell it to somebody else, like the stranger did?"
Zhang Zian smiled. "He did something smarter. He hid it like a tree in the forest. When nobody was watching, he hid the book on a bookshelf of a national library with 0.9 million books, and tried not to remember which shelf it was. He never even visited the street where the library was."　　
Meng Li knocked on the table with excitement. "Great idea! If he did so, this Book of Sand could no longer be found, unless some extremely unlucky guy picked it up, with a chance of 1 out of 0.9 million!"　　
Zhang Zian smiled bitterly.  This extremely unlucky is sitting right in front of you, and offered you a glass of orange juice.　
He remembered that when Pi first arrived at the pet shop, it would make a gesture of slipping sand out of its hand. Back then, he thought that it was referring to the sand of Ganges river. Could he be wrong?　　
"So is the story is over?" Meng Li was looking forward to hearing more.　　
Zhang Zian nodded. "It's finishes with an open ending. Professor, is this Book of Sand similar to The Hyperwebster Dictionary?"
Meng Li said, "Indeed. But the Hyperwebster is more rigorous, and it does have a beginning."　　
Zhang Zian agreed on this. The Hyperwebster was a theory of science, but the Book of Sand was a fantasy of literature. They shared some similarities only in certain aspects.
"Either the Hyperwebster or the Book of Sand, if they do exist, would be very precious. Aren't they? They would be the most impressive books on Earth. Or if there are other civilizations in the universe, could they come up with better books?" he asked.　　
He remembered that Galaxy once said the nameless book was the most impressive book on the earth, but not in the universe.　　
Meng Li asked, "Impressive? Of course. Except that both books have limitations, which is because they're written in English, and are limited to the 26 letters. Some ideas can't be expressed by just 26 English letters. If some civilization in the universe has a more comprehensive linguistic system, they could theorize a better version of the Hyperwebster."　　
Zhang Zian nodded. This confirmed Galaxy's remark.　　
"If you got a copy of the Book of Sand, or the Hyperwebster, what would you do?" He tentatively asked again.　　
Meng Li was drinking his orange juice. He stopped after hearing these words.　　
"Get a copy? Neither of these two book are supposed to exist in real life. How would I get a copy?" He pushed the question back with a scientist's rationality.　　
"In theory, let's suppose you had one." Zhang Zian clarified.　　
"Well..." Meng Li thought about it. "If I got the Book of Sand, I might read it. If I would end up getting obsessed over it like the man from the story...I'm not sure, maybe. A lot of people crave knowledge, after all. But if I got the Hyperwebster, well, it's hard to say. The words might be in random order. I wouldn't be able to read even if I try. Perhaps I would give it to the government." 　　
He was half joking.　　
"This is my other question." Zhang Zian ignored his joke. "If the words in the Hyperwebster are in random order, how can you know that it contains all knowledge and all of the great writings?"　　
Meng Li murmured, "This is theoretical. Theories are theories, after all. They never consider the obstacles of actually reading it."　　
Zhang Zian continued. "Have you heard this quote: My life has an end, but knowledge is endless?"　　
"Yes. I may be a mathematician, but I know this famous quote." Meng Li smiled. "It means that, our lives are limited, but knowledge is limitless. How is this related to our discussion about the Hyperwebster and the Book of Sand?"　　
"It is, in fact, very much related." Zhang Zian spoke firmly. "Professor Meng, do you know the second half of this quote?"　　
"Well..." Meng Li had no idea.　　
The first half of this quote was well-known, but the second half was often ignored. A lot of famous quotes were like this. People only took the parts that they needed, and twisted the original meanings. Such as the quote: When your parents are still around, you travel too far. It was often used to teach people to treat their parents properly. However, in the original text of Confucius, the second half was: If you travel, you must have a plan.
"The second half is: Chasing the endless with the limited is dangerous!" Zhang Zian answered his own question.　　
Meng Li considered the second half of the quote, and compared it to the first half. Then he said with uncertainty, "I'm not an expert in ancient literature. The second half means pursuing unlimited knowledge with my limited life is doomed to fail?"　
"Correct."　　
"Our ancestor's words still make sense today," exclaimed Meng Li.　
"I agree," said Zhang Zian half-heartedly. This was all his self-reflection. He understood something, more or less.　　
That untitled book, whether it was the Hyperwebster or the Book of Sand, or some other imaginary book of another civilization in the universe, was endless. But human beings were still limited. Pursuing the neverending with the limited was destined to fail. Therefore, nobody could read the nameless book on their own. As he flipped open the nameless book in attempt to understand it, he was making this mistake.
The man from the Book of Sand, out of his thirst for knowledge, was making the same mistake as well. He didn't realize that knowledge was without bounds, but his time was limited.　
It really was true. My life has an end, but knowledge is endless. Chasing the endless with the limited is dangerous!　　
Unless...　　
Meng Li realized this at the same time. "A limited person cannot read an endless book, unless there are endless numbers of people. If an infinite number of people are reading the Hyperwebster at the same time, and each person is extracting meaningful words and connect them into lines and articles, then they are pursuing infinity with infinity."　
"But how can there be infinite numbers of people? It's still meaningless." He shook his head and sighed.　　
No, it is meaningful, said Zhang Zian silently to himself.　　
He understood why Galaxy could read the nameless book. It had been through an infinite number of reincarnations, and had the infinity feature.　　
Famous was going through reincarnations with Galaxy in the Imagined World, and touched the border of infinity. That was why it could see blurry words.　　
Pi could read it, as it must have also possessed the infinite feature.

The library was an old three-story building that use to be a factory. It was donated over fifty years ago. And was one of the older building in the area. It had been updated in the last few years with new walls, stairs, and wiring. However, they had kept the worn wood floors and it still had a cool, well-used and comfortable feel to it.

She walked over to the front counter where the librarian, Mrs. Chen, sat working on the computer.

"Hello, Lina. I heard you finally got assigned independent study. It took those kooks up in the English department long enough, heh?"

"You're telling me. I didn't know how many more of those idiots I could take without counseling." She thought about how that could be taken for a moment. "The students, that is, Mrs. Chen."

"Sure. Your class time doesn't start until tomorrow, so I assume you're here for your book."

"It finally came in?!"

She smiled and reached beneath the counter.

"Just this morning. Blood by GRAY."She shook her head but handed her the book. "Sometimes I wonder if I should be worried about you."

Lina laugh. The game and the book was sort of along the same vane but different. The book focuses more on how one could tell if you could make potions in real life. That is if you had blood. The author of the book offer list and guilds on taking a potion from a game and make money.

"Shoo, now," she said, waving her hands. "You're terrible."

She took the book and walked to the back corner of the room where the wide oak stairs led up to the second floor and her special reading spot. She ran her hand up the smooth banister as she walked up, loving the feel of the cool wood. The library had always been a quiet spot she had used to think and relax since she had come to the college three years ago. She used it to get away from all of the whispers and names.

At the top of the stairs, she walked through the maze of books to a dimly lit far corner. The shelves formed a natural hallway that prevented anyone from seeing the corner unless they actually walked through. It held a large beige chair big enough for two and a standing light next to it. She never worried about anyone being there because the idiots on campus barely walked through the reference books on the first floor, let alone the second floor where most of the romance, fiction, mystery, horror, fantasy, and science fiction books were held.

She set her bag on the floor beside the chair and plopped down, pulling her legs up under her. She didn't need the light yet, so she opened her new book and began reading.

"Where am I? "

The soul looked around confused. They found themselves in an endless white space. There was no one and nothing to be seen. She tried to move, but failed. It seems she was unable to. Instinctively the feeling of panic registered in her brain, but she fought it off. She's never been one to let her emotions get on her way logically and calmly thinking things through. This however was beyond logic. She knew that. After looking around for some time she remembered all the fan fictions she had read. This space matched the description of most of them in fiction. She knew she died and remembered the truck clearly. This was also a tope in these sort of fan fictions. 


Having deduced all of this she knew she would be reincarnated. But did she want that? She didn't know. Her last life wasn't all that amazing she doubt her next one would. 

"I wonder if I can stay here? " she muttered to herself. Her voice sounded different than usual. As if it was someone else's. "It's really nice and peaceful here"

She laid floating in empty space. It's been an entire hour if her calculations are correct. A whole hour with no sight of anyone at all. Yet she seemed rather content with the way things were. She had time to think about her life now. Abandoned by her parents the day she was born. An orphan since day one. Lived in the orphanage most of her life. No one wanted to adopt her. She had no friends. They all found her weird for some reason. Adults paid her no mind for some reason also. She got into trouble more often than not, but it's always because of someone else. School was hell for her. Bullied by almost everyone. Teachers that didn't care. That world was truly corruption. Never been able to take what she wanted. Follow her dream. That was just the life handed to her. 

'Do you wish to be reborn? '

She stared emotionless at the white box that appeared in front of her. She read the text about ten times before looking away from it. 

"What's the point? The world's corrupt I'd rather stay here"

'You may choose a world of your choice'

A world of her choice? She stared at the sentence on the box pensive. To reincarnate to another world. She read fan fictions about this, but never really believed in them. 

"That would be a lot better"

'Choose a world of your choice'

The box changed and soon names of cartoons, movies, animes and manga appeared. She eyed them all with slight surprise. There were so many worlds to choose from. So many different she could try her hand at. 

"My Hero Academia seems promising" she said to herself. "As long as I'm born with a quirk I will strive in that world"

There was a light ding from the screen and it pulled up another display. 

'Choose your timelime'

This wasn't all that hard for her. She knew exactly what timeline she wanted to be born in. 

"The main timeline"

'By doing this host will be replacing the main character,do you wish to continue '

She pondered this for some time. Replacing Izuku would mean that the world she would be born in would be an AU. 

"Yes I do"

The screen disappeared for a second. When it came back it showed a loading screen. It was rapidly reaching one hundred percent. When it did there was another beep before complete darkness.

A familiar ding is what woke her up. Upon opening her eyes should was met with those of a woman. The woman's eyes we're beautiful. The most beautiful she had ever seen. Rose gold eyes filled with love stared down at her. Love. That was a word unknown to her. Something she never felt directed at her. But this woman was radiating love. 

"My sweet baby" the woman stroked her tiny cheeks. 

She was small. She felt small. She was a baby. 

"How's our champion doing" a man leaned into her sight. This time she was met with deep red eyes. The man smiled warmly at her and wiggled his finger into her small palms. "Hi there little one. We're your parents"

Parents? Another word unknown to her. What was it like to have parents? What were parents? She didn't know. 

"Do we have a name for her yet? " her father asked as he played with her small hand. 

"I decided on the name you suggested" the mother laughed quietly. "It's quite the brave name"

Her father grinned at her. "You hear that? " he asked. "You're our little Hunter. Hunter Phoenix"

'System what functions do you have? '

Hunter found herself in her crib. It was night already so she should be asleep. She took this time to get to know this system she had. 

'I have four functions. Status. Shop. Inventory and world travel'

Hunter hummed. The last part seemed very promising. The functions are all self explanatory so she asked the more important questions. 

'What type of system are you? '

'I am a fantasy system granted to you by a generous God'

'A God? '

'Yes. The god felt very sorry that you had died at such a young age. He saw great potential in you and gave me to you as a gift and apology'

So there was a god out there that cared enough for her to give her a chance like this. She silently thanked said god and promised to live up to his expectations. 

'System. Show me my status'

There was a ding before her information appeared in front of her.
