Eren watched his mama(maybe stepmother?) straighten and shaping his hair in the morning. He tried to rest assuredly but it was painful.

  His grandfather, sitting next to Yuzu, was deep in thought. With a sly smile, he forget to help the little boy.

The old man who appeared in the late '50s and early' 60s, looked at his grandson, stared with amusement and smiled. Deeply he hoped that his grandson would have a good totem, openly praying to all the gods and even started praying a second time. 

Actually he prayed a lot to Arya, the goddess of war, and Oz, the god of fortune, for whom he had trusted most.

As a child in his past, he prayed to his own blessing for this specific event, but did not get a good result. But he was hopeful to help his grandson and make amends for god's past mistakes. 

  At the end of Eren's final image, Yuzu decided to take a sigh of relief. When two adult father girls were very excited, Eren knew something was going on, but he didn't know the exact details.

"They're taking me to a wedding for sure. I didn't like the weddings in Earth and now I'm back to this dumb chaotic event again.

The stakes that this life put in my ass, just dont end!!. "

While Eren was passing through these thoughts, he touched his head and hair which Yuzu woven carefully from behind. Eren had as much hair as the even winds could no longer blow.

In the small mesh formed behind him, black hair with white tufts was seen.

Eren was 2 years old this year.

 In the past year, his hair had grown so fast that even the ones who saw him very often were astonished.

In addition, his height and body was normal for a two-year-old, but his balance and excellence when using his body were as good as those of adults. 

 Eren was always "Weird" for those in Sisna Village and In the last year, this truth hasn't changed.

Anyway..

 Eren walked to the center of the village, tugged at his mother's hand and opened his arms. Clearly, he meant "take me in the lap" without embarrassment.

Quickly slid into Yuzu's perfect lap and feel nice wrapped betweent white and sexy arms, Eren slowly looked down into where they went.

 At the end of the village, a lot of people were walking to the forest.

A few minutes later he had left the village with her mother and grandfather. This trip was the first time Eren left the boundry of Sisna Village in this life. It meant a lot, also it meant not even a shit to him. I t was a anormal paradox for a new born modern person like Eren. 

Slowly they crossed the bridge and walked into the forest.

Everyone was silently going up the road by the forest. Approximately they get in 500 meters into a thin and freakish path.

It was a long  and narrow clearance between the wooden trees and the corridor. The hallway of who knows where path- didn't go on too much and it turned right.

From a few steps to this time again, there was a turning point on the inside of the forest, and this path continued a while.

 They were constantly walked in zigzags. At some point while walking up and down, right and left ; finally they saw a certain gate in the trees.

"Holy Shit!"

Eren almost cursed before forcely closing his mouth!!

 After not doing that zigzags, they walked for the last time and enter in this huge gap.

This place was closed like a house or cocoon. It was a perfectly rounded place with no other entrances except for the point they entered.

   There were walls between thick and long trees that a person couldn't fit even literary. The trees were perfectly lined up and formed this round area.

Eren was very curious to see which crazy bastard planted these trees to create this unneccessery perfect round. It was cool but really a dumb way to kill your time.

And the oddities didn't end with the trees or rounded place.

 The roof on the hill was in the form of a dome covered by the leaves of the trees. The leaves and branches didn't even come down from one place, only the vines seemed to be hanging down 5-10 inches down from the roof. But thats it. 

At some point, even Eren started to believe maybe..just maybe this place may be not been created by a crazy lunatic. 

The sunlight was very bright from the back of the dome and was covered with a dim, but illuminating the place perfectly. This place was too perfect to be formed by the human hand. A strange aura was spreading to the room from the light. It was like this even this light was enought to awaken and relax your soul.

Eren saw the people scattered all over the place except the middle of the area. Many Grandi People from the village sat down on the ground. 

There were only two other children from the village. Both of them had very beautiful blond hair that was shining and they were seated near a small rock in the middle of the circle.

 Eren let Yuzu walk into the center of the circle and release him from her lap. Her mother like Yuzu, leaned over Eren's ear with a small smile.

"Wait here, Khan, and do what other children do when it's your turn."

Eren wanted to say that he wanted to use "Eren" as his name when more time passed. But he didn't object for her mother's name choice for now.

"Khan"

The name of the person he used to be would definitely object this cool name. Being yourself is an important thing for a loser. Eren even think that if he accept the new name, he would start to chance in this dumb planet. 

But he still decided to endure for Yuzu. He was tied up to this hot mama even as much as he expect.

 Yuzu went to his father's side trying to conceal the worry with a smile. She was brought here when she was a kid, and she attended a similar blessing years ago.

  "Blessing" was something every child, who could speak, was able to enter at least once.

 It was kind of like finding out what could be hidden in the children. But the children should have started talking and should usually be at least 3-4 years old.



Yuzu brought Eren, who was two years old, to join the blessing even though he was small. But there was now a little bit hesitation in her after seeing other big boy now.

The other child was a girl who at least four. Even the smaller boy was 3.5 years old. 
They both knew things were happening. Not only was there noticeable excitement in the girl, but she was not scared at all. 

Yuzu, seeing that the children were waiting without any trouble as they knew what would happen, began to regret and hesitate.


   In general, families want children to come to this special place knowing what this blessing is. Every child should have a memory that they will never forget. Therefore, children are not brought in at very young ages. Otherwise, children can blame their families and get angry. After all, "blessing" is an important moment for everyone on this planet.


Although everyone saw Eren as a little baby, there was something in his eyes and his gaze that an unconscious child should not have. Eren was not ashamed. On the contrary, he kept looking around as if he were understanding everything.

Yes he was only two years old, but the other two children next to him were only the body. Eren's gaze was full of intelligence. Apparently he immediately understood the event and was waiting with patient eyes.

   Eren thought to himself;

"This place looks like a magical world. It's obvious that the peasants, including my mother, have long ears. They remind me of the Elves.

The religious place between these trees confirms my prediction.

  What do they mean by "blessings" or "things that can be within us"? I wonder if I don't want to look ignorant. I wonder why my mother didn't explain it to me. "



Eren looked at Yuzu and made strange eyebrow eyebrows. He meant "Wtf?"with his eyes but Yuzu did not answer him, even closed his eyes excitedly began to pray.

 He liked science fiction from books he'd read in his old life.

"Am I going to see some magical things later?" Eren wanted to see the event with the fantasy-science fiction ideas. He even thought about big chief J. R. R. Tolkien. 

But the Show didn't start. Obviously everyone in the rounded place would wait others to come.

About ten to fifteen minutes later, everyone in the village came. Adults circled and surrounded the children. Looks like everybody was so excited. Eren was thoroughly curious about what would have happened.

Munmer, the manager of the village, appeared from a location close to the entrance and walked towards the children.

 People split into two sides to make Munmer pass and the circle was closed again. Executive Munmer slowly stepped to the children and waited as if preparing himself for a few seconds.
He began to speak in a loud voice trying to increase his voice as much as he could.


"The reason we are here today is to pay our respects to the ancient gods who sacrificed themselves for us, and those of us who now protect us from dangers."

Everyone in the crowd whistled once. At first, Eren whispered slowly but did not curse! Realizing that the people did it to show respect and approval.

Maybe it was strange, but their respects could be seen from their faces.

The manager continued immediately,

 "One of the oldest gods, the Sky-God Atlas, saw that the human in the world were very weak against creatures, demons, and even neutral angels.

He created these altars to protect ourselves and to understand the power in the world we live in!

Just like our ancestors before us, we tested our potential at this altar and tested whether we had power. "


Immediately after this statement, the manager turned his eyes to the children and pointed at them with his right hand.

"Now we have to wait for a new generation to be tested and believe that the gods are thinking the best for us.

We are their generation and they will always help us to live good lives!"


Eren didn't understand the word "we're their generation." But when he thought a bit, he knew the gods were meant.

He also suspected whether the entire conversation was written by Munmer. Because if what he said was real, he could have prepared a speech that was more cool and impressive.

But with a strong voice, he admitted that Munmer had a nice talk. Maybe he had a talent for this kind of speeches.

 After a few seconds, everyone whistled again. Eren's ears were disturbed, but disturbing events had just begun.

 A strange thing was brought by a woman who came to the manager. There was a big knife inside and it didn't look so sweet. If the point is mentioned again ... a huge knife!


Maybe because Eren was sitting on the ground with his teeny body and was still a baby, he saw a normal sized knife in large dimensions. But Eren was convinced that religious events and knives wouldn't be too cool.

"Fuck the fantasy…screw you guys, I am going home!"
At least he wanted to say this. But..

Eren came up with a lot of unnecessary blooded details from the Earth. The zombies awaken from the graves and the human blood swallowed slowly for sacrifices to monsters. He remembered the 3d movies which has ridiculous ceremonies for demons.

While Eren was in a daze..

The woman handed the knife to Munmer and folded the gland and went back to where it came from.

  Now everyone was focused on children and Munmer. The manager, Munmer, focused on the girl who was the oldest child in the place, and called out.

"Wyen, come here.

Eren just startled lightly. If he was given an opportunity, he would turn away and run away from this fantastic shit. He was confident that, he would break the running time record of Usain Bolt, as he was running!!!

"I shouldn't be a baby! AAAAAHHHHHH .... Oh I'm just a fuc…. baby. These maniacs gather elf children and shoot +18 documentaries for the sky-gods with their bloody knives !!

How did I get here? How!!!

I hate fantasy. I seriously hate these motherf...…%+&/(*!^'....."

But these words were in vain…

*I died as thinking what would've happened if I lived one more time.

Without any friends, without laughter at all, and I'm sure I've never been loved.

"Where am I? "

The soul looked around confused. They found themselves in an endless white space. There was no one and nothing to be seen. She tried to move, but failed. It seems she was unable to. Instinctively the feeling of panic registered in her brain, but she fought it off. She's never been one to let her emotions get on her way logically and calmly thinking things through. This however was beyond logic. She knew that. After looking around for some time she remembered all the fan fictions she had read. This space matched the description of most of them in fiction. She knew she died and remembered the truck clearly. This was also a tope in these sort of fan fictions. 


Having deduced all of this she knew she would be reincarnated. But did she want that? She didn't know. Her last life wasn't all that amazing she doubt her next one would. 

"I wonder if I can stay here? " she muttered to herself. Her voice sounded different than usual. As if it was someone else's. "It's really nice and peaceful here"

She laid floating in empty space. It's been an entire hour if her calculations are correct. A whole hour with no sight of anyone at all. Yet she seemed rather content with the way things were. She had time to think about her life now. Abandoned by her parents the day she was born. An orphan since day one. Lived in the orphanage most of her life. No one wanted to adopt her. She had no friends. They all found her weird for some reason. Adults paid her no mind for some reason also. She got into trouble more often than not, but it's always because of someone else. School was hell for her. Bullied by almost everyone. Teachers that didn't care. That world was truly corruption. Never been able to take what she wanted. Follow her dream. That was just the life handed to her. 

'Do you wish to be reborn? '

She stared emotionless at the white box that appeared in front of her. She read the text about ten times before looking away from it. 

"What's the point? The world's corrupt I'd rather stay here"

'You may choose a world of your choice'

A world of her choice? She stared at the sentence on the box pensive. To reincarnate to another world. She read fan fictions about this, but never really believed in them. 

"That would be a lot better"

The box changed and soon names of cartoons, movies, animes and manga appeared. She eyed them all with slight surprise. There were so many worlds to choose from. So many different she could try her hand at. 

"My Hero Academia seems promising" she said to herself. "As long as I'm born with a quirk I will strive in that world"

There was a light ding from the screen and it pulled up another display. 

'Choose your timelime'

This wasn't all that hard for her. She knew exactly what timeline she wanted to be born in. 

"The main timeline"

'By doing this host will be replacing the main character,do you wish to continue '

She pondered this for some time. Replacing Izuku would mean that the world she would be born in would be an AU. 

"Yes I do"

The screen disappeared for a second. When it came back it showed a loading screen. It was rapidly reaching one hundred percent. When it did there was another beep before complete darkness.

A familiar ding is what woke her up. Upon opening her eyes should was met with those of a woman. The woman's eyes we're beautiful. The most beautiful she had ever seen. Rose gold eyes filled with love stared down at her. Love. That was a word unknown to her. Something she never felt directed at her. But this woman was radiating love. 

"My sweet baby" the woman stroked her tiny cheeks. 

She was small. She felt small. She was a baby. 

"How's our champion doing" a man leaned into her sight. This time she was met with deep red eyes. The man smiled warmly at her and wiggled his finger into her small palms. "Hi there little one. We're your parents"

Parents? Another word unknown to her. What was it like to have parents? What were parents? She didn't know. 

"Do we have a name for her yet? " her father asked as he played with her small hand. 

"I decided on the name you suggested" the mother laughed quietly. "It's quite the brave name"

Her father grinned at her. "You hear that? " he asked. "You're our little Hunter. Hunter Phoenix"

'System what functions do you have? '

Hunter found herself in her crib. It was night already so she should be asleep. She took this time to get to know this system she had. 

'I have four functions. Status. Shop. Inventory and world travel'

Hunter hummed. The last part seemed very promising. The functions are all self explanatory so she asked the more important questions. 

'What type of system are you? '

'I am a fantasy system granted to you by a generous God'

'A God? '

'Yes. The god felt very sorry that you had died at such a young age. He saw great potential in you and gave me to you as a gift and apology'

So there was a god out there that cared enough for her to give her a chance like this. She silently thanked said god and promised to live up to his expectations. 

'System. Show me my status'

There was a ding before her information appeared in front of her.

You'd think after dying that would be the end. I thought so too. Turns out I was wrong.

~ Sector 4 (Former United Kingdom), Manchester City, Park Tree Senior School ~

In a small classroom on the second floor a young teacher was patiently explaining recent history. She was of middling height, brown haired and fair faced. Not yet 30, but past 20, she still had the vibrancy of youth and mellow warm voice.

[Mrs Pearson]: "They arrived eight years ago. The Alati. Wars still raged back then, hunger and terror still plagued a large portion of our world. It's pointless now to lay blame. Why could we not, with the resources of a whole world be so unable to change our fate? We could not. We failed. So, seeing the poor stewards of the world we were shaping out to be they came to save the world. To save it from our neglect." 

She stood at the front of the class, wrapped up in her own words while tapping on the board before her. The classroom was quiet, with sixteen young adults listening despite knowing it all by heart. One or two of them were using their wristComs hidden in the shadows of their desks and a single brave soul was catching up on sleep behind a carefully arranged tablet.

[Mrs Pearson]: "In a single week our world was free from conflict and wars. There was no hiding from their technology and even our most secure systems fell swiftly. By the end of the first month few nations or people lacked access to basic needs. In a year our world was well on its way to a single governing body, the old borders fell away and people began to free themselves of the past. It wasn't easy. It didn't happen without pain. In time we will continue to advance and change, hopefully one day earning the right to join the galaxy as a prosperous major world."

It was at this moment that she faced the class properly and knocked on the desk sharply. The boy at the back lowered his tablet, long practice making the movement seem natural despite having just snapped awake. The attention of the class refocused their teacher as she glanced across them with suddenly sharp eyes. She leaned forwards, placing both hands on a small desk and paused, waiting for a moment before proceeding.

[Mrs Pearson]: "Even after eight years we have only just begun that process. It may take a hundred years or more before we can stand equal to most minor worlds, especially given our place on the Alati border. It will be the efforts of the next several generations which will work towards the completion of that task. To take our small world and make it capable of supporting the infrastructure of an interstellar civilisation will not happen in merely the next few years."

The class listened closely. In this age science fiction was rapidly becoming fact. Technology was undergoing rapid advances and one needed only to look up at night to see the flashes of light from an actual Starship waiting in orbit. Even now an actual space station was under works to serve as a gateway to the stars. 

But as advanced as the Alati were they were just as wise. They considered Knowledge something which had to be earned, grown with time. The harder to people of Earth worked the more knowledge the Alati would share. They didn't want slaves, they wanted generations of new citizens who would be capable and deserving of the advances they themselves strove to achieve. As she had said, it wouldn't happen in a few years.

But that wasn't why the class became so attentive, they were wondering if certain rumours were true. She smiled, leaning back now, happy in being able to finally share what she had been leading up to.

[Mrs Pearson]: "You may have heard by now that representatives of the Alati arrived three days ago. You may even have heard rumours as to the purpose of their visit. Its true. They are here to begin testing for the Gift."

Gasps filled the class, fists were clenched and the previously sleepy boy at the back was now fully engaged.

[Mrs Pearson]: "Shortly after Arrival Day the world was shocked to discover that much of our fiction was not complete fantasy. The Gift existed and before it all the might of our armies and weapons mattered very little. Now you will all have the chance to be tested for the Gift, which will be taking place in the prime city for each Sector. All children between eight and sixteen are required to be tested. Next week, it will be your turn."

Cheers exploded from several youths and the class became rowdy instantly. Before true chaos could set in the she slammed the desk again, much harder this time. Quiet descended sharply but the students expressions reflected their excitement.

[Mrs Pearson]: "Alright! I know your excited but please listen carefully. Your parents will have been informed of the details by wristCom within the next day or so. Arrangements for travel will be made and handled by the school and the testing will be conducted class by class. However... I want to stress something first."

At this point she paused to look at each child, slowly and meeting eyes where possible. Silence truly descended as the students noticed her usually bright eyes dim. Nerves began to set in. She sighed, because next she needed lower their expectations as the hardest part of the Gift was also what made it so precious. It lay in how exclusive it was, even in the wider Galaxy.

[Mrs Pearson]: "You should know that even in the Alati Empire itself those with the Gift are less than one in a hundred thousand. Usually it has to be drawn out of a person, carefully and that person guided in its use. This is what the testing is for. Instances of the Gift awakening by itself are so rare no real scale exists. If even a 100 students across our whole world are able to awaken the Gift... we will have done very well indeed for a virgin world."

The class remained quiet, each wandering in their own thoughts and still shackled by their own dreams. The Gift was something truly special and was the feature of many daydreams. It was the next best thing to becoming a real life Superhero. 

The Gift, as many species refer to it, was the ability for the mind to express itself outside of the body in special ways. Telekinesis was but a simple example of this. The strength of the Gift in a person can also vary wildly, and grows based on the individual in question. From lifting cups and plates to tearing buildings from their foundations. Upon awakening one could develop their Gift further but often the strength of the awakening itself would be a good indication. 

The Gift was a superpower and every race in the Galaxy capable of wielding it, cultivated it.

[Mrs Pearson]: "I would be proud and happy if any of you are that lucky. But life won't end for you otherwise, your futures are still full of possibility. For your generation leaving this world and working among the stars is not just a possibility, but very likely. Perhaps as merchantmen or construction workers, perhaps as part of the Alati Navy or the Earth Guardian force."

Her smile returned, it was all she could offer. As amazing as the Gift was it was just as cruel. Many dreams would shatter over the next month or so and only a very small minority would have that chance. It wasn't likely at all that anyone in the room would have the Gift.

[Mrs Pearson]: "Now, the testing process is held in secret and I'm told you won't actually remember it afterwards unless you do awaken the Gift. However you have no reason to be afraid as we are told there are very few risks involved. Should you succeed there will be someone to guide you from that point on. Now class is about to end so please stand and-"

At this point the bell on the wall awoke with a lazy tune, washing away anything else the teacher might say. The classroom of students, sensing freedom bolted like a pack of mice for the doors. Excited as they were voices were raised and everything soon drowned out in rapid exchanges.

This same scene was repeated in classes across the school, the sector and the whole world. A fire had been lit and children worldwide began to wait feverishly. Next week everything would change as the first Earth born humans would hopefully awaken the Gift. It would determine the worth of their people and the world. It would also mark the day life changed for a sleepy boy who was now wide awake, whose name was Mark Thompson.

With the arrival of the 21st Century the Earth has begun a spiral of decline. As a rare life bearing world many eyes watch and wait.

Finally Mankind is judged. Deemed unfit in is protection of the world it calls Home. In light of this ruling new masters arrive to claim stewardship.

Years later in the former United Kingdom one such Earthling is about take his first steps to shock the Galaxy. For he will be Gifted.

After getting a promise from Saruman, Soran felt more at ease.
Since he promised to finish the task by the end of the month, he would wait for a while more. Before leaving, Soran glanced at the cannibal plants again. He didn't know if it was his mind playing tricks on him, but he noticed that the plants moved slightly. These mutant plants were a little special, so hopefully, Saruman's research on them would not cause any trouble.
It was close to evening.
Soran walked around the camp once, and was ready to go back and research more on the spell 'Melf's Minute Meteors.'
This low-grade god slaying spell was really not that easy. Soran had been analyzing the spell model for so many days, but still hadn't made much progress. There were many quite complex spell nodes and models in the construction of the "Melf's Minute Meteors" spell model. If a spell model was compared to a circuit board, then level 3 spells were like calculators, while the Melf's Minute Meteors was the difficulty of a computer. This requires an amazing ability of memory and analysis. According to Soran's estimation, it was almost more difficult than level 6 spells.
The sea wind blew.
Soran came to the west gate.
Just when he came here, he saw that the patrol was a little alarmed, but it didn't seem to be a big deal.
"Your...Your excellency!..."
The captain in charge of training saw Soran, he trotted over and said, "The young madam is!... The young madam is walking around with a dragon!..."
A dragon?
Soran was shocked when he heard this, then quickly went over.
Just around the gate, Soran saw Vivian in a black princess dress, walking at a rather happy pace with a satisfied expression. The little girl led a Quetzalcoatlus the size of a hound; it seemed that it had just hatched for a few days. At the moment, Vivian tied a pink rope to its neck, and then she took it for a walk like walking a dog. The newly hatched Quetzalcoatlus was not big, but its eyes were full of ferocity. Occasionally, when someone passed by, it would open its mouth and roar, and raise its wings to show strength.
The growth of the dragon species was slow, but they would have fighting capabilities at an early age.
When a young dragon was born, it would be able to fight after eating other eggs. When a pure-blooded young dragon was born, it would have 1 challenge rating, which could easily kill an adult man without combat training. Only three or five days later, the young dragon would grow tusks and claws, and the challenge rating would be increased to level 2-3, which could kill some noob professions. Although the Quetzalcoatlus in front of them had just hatched, it still could easily kill one or two adults.
Without proper training, the young Quetzalcoatlus was filled with ferocity, and Vivian was dragging it around with a string.
Although it dared to show his teeth and claws to others, it was quite afraid when it turned to the little girl. It seemed that it must have been punished after it had hatched. Young dragons didn't regard the first person they saw as their parents. The genetic memory of the dragon was no joke. They could still distinguish if the creature was a dragon or not. It was much more dangerous to raise such a dragon subspecies than to raise a wild wolf cub. That was why Soran doesn't agree that the little girl should raise the dragon.
"Big brother!"
Vivian soon noticed Soran, and the little girl gave a joyful cry. Then she ran toward him with the rope pulling the Quetzalcoatlus.
The young Quetzalcoatlus could not fly and could not run.
"Look!"
Vivian looked like she was showing off. She raised the pink rope, then pushed the young Quetzalcoatlus with her leg lightly. She pushed it in front of Soran and said happily, "the egg had hatched! Brother, look! It's called Blacky! Doesn't it look awesome!"
Blacky...
Soran twitched his mouth, then nodded relentlessly, "Yeah, it is very awesome!"
"Hehe!"
Vivian was very happy when she heard that. Then she raised her small hand and led the Quetzalcoatlus forward. She wanted to take it for a walk to let other people know it. People here were very violent and might kill Blacky if they didn't know better. The little girl walked with joy, holding a rope in her little hand, and dragging the young Quetzalcoatlus behind her. Occasionally, other people would be shocked to see her and her pet.
By tomorrow everyone would know that Vivian had a dragon pet!
But it really was awesome. Others walked dogs while she walked a dragon. Seeing that the little girl was so happy, Soran could only shake his head and sigh.
Around dinner time, Vivian led the young Quetzalcoatlus back.
The newly hatched Quetzalcoatlus ate a large amount of food. If they had enough food, they could gain 35 pounds a day. About half a year later, the Quetzalcoatlus could reach 1000 pounds. The catgirl is a small maid's dress was in charge of feeding it. She carried a big wooden bucket filled with fresh fish from the port. It seemed that the little cat girl was also very playful. She moved the fish left and right, playing with the Quetzalcoatlus before feeding it.
A fish that was a foot long was swallowed by it in one go.
Just a day or two after hatching, the Quetzalcoatlus was already able to eat a bucket of fresh fish.
Occasionally, the little cat girl would also hold a fresh fish greedily and smell it. She seemed to like the fishy smell. Unfortunately, she did not dare to put it into her mouth after looking around.
Because if she ate raw fish, Vivian would punish her.
She was a bit afraid of Vivian.
Especially when Vivian wore a black princess dress, the catgirl often felt scared.
A day passed without any drama.
Soran began to analyze the spell model of "Melf's Minute Meteors" after nightfall. It may be because of the accumulation of the previous days because now, his research has become a little faster.
The big room was lit up by a magic light, which felt like a hundred-watt light bulb.
Gloria brought it and some alchemy tools made by the wizard Saruman. Because there were two orthodox wizards around, Soran could also enjoy some conveniences. Most of the time, the world of wizards was full of fantasy, like science fiction. Soran still believed that there was not much difference between golems and high intelligent robots. Even in some areas, golems were superior to robots.
Soran forgot about time as he went into research.
Not sure how long had passed, when he finally snapped out of researching the spell model, the outside was already dark.
"Ta, Ta, Ta."
Light footsteps were heard coming in front of Soran's room.
"Vivian?"
Soran put down the quill pen in his hand, and then put away a large stack of white paper. With the improvement of his capability, his perception and listening ability was becoming stronger and stronger. Other rogues were less likely to attack Soran, and he became more aware of his day to day surroundings.
He got up, opened the door, and saw the little girl standing there.
Vivian was wearing a pure white nightdress and pink cotton slippers on her feet. Her beautiful big eyes seemed to be covered with tears as if she had just woken up and was a bit confused.
"Big brother!" the little girl went to Soran, as tears came down her eyes.
Soran quickly picked up the girl in front of her, leaned over her forehead and kissed her, then asked, "What's the matter? Why are you crying? "
Vivian held Soran tight and said in a small voice, "Big brother!... I dreamed about Heath…"
Heath.
That loyal dog.
Soran also became a little sad when he heard her. He kissed her on her cheek and said softly, "Don't cry now. Heath is buried in the graveyard by us, and it will rest in the kingdom of the god!... "
Perhaps it was because she had a new pet, that was why she thought about the old dog that had been with her.
Soran has also been cruel and cold.
Not anyone could earn his respect. However, that dog could.
It was a loyal dog.
Soran could still remember how old it was, but it still guarded the house beside Vivian. Unfortunately, it couldn't even have a good meal before it died.
Its mission was also fulfilled because Soran lived.
Faith made the old and hungry dog stay up until Soran woke up. Then he unloaded his burden and left peacefully in a deep sleep.
Soran buried it in a grave because it had his respect.
"Big brother…"
Vivian felt better after a good hug. She raised her head and said, "Vivian has become so powerful, could I bring him back?"
"I miss him so much!"
Silence.
Soran was silent for a moment. He patted the little girl's head, kissed it, but did not give her an answer.
Vivian seemed to have understood something.
"Heath…"
The little girl sobbed out, "He really died and would never come back?..."


He doesn’t know why his mind has been transferred into that of a petty thief named Soran within the VRMMO . The new ‘Soran’ though possesses both the body’s previous occupant’s memories and his own. Mrs. Rodriguez felt glad that Betha had joined their Christmas dinner. Every year, she and Apollo celebrated with Gab and Leslie. And now, Betha was a new addition to their family. Despite her not-so-good first impression of Betha, there was something very new to her scent now: her aura had changed.

There was a reason why Mrs. Rodriguez pursued a writing career; she was very good in sensing the good and bad in people. And she used that to turn real characters into fiction and add more to their story. Hence, her well-developed characters and mind-boggling plots had resulted to bestselling fantasy novels. She knew from when she was young that the world was an incredible realm of God's creations, with different series of logical happenings and mind-bending possibilities. For some reason, she had the gift of reading and smelling a human aura. It might sound preposterous and weird like "Phoebe of Friends" kind of weird, but she knew in her heart that humans exude certain levels of electricity that could be referred to as an electromagnetic field; this was human aura. 

When she first met Betha, she saw black, magenta, white, and crystalline colors surrounding her body. It was the first time in her life that she had seen a person emit that kind of aura. And her scent had confirmed that she was one of a kind, because it was a scent of human mixed with some kind of supernatural being that she had no idea was. She new there was something about Betha, and she was scared for her son. But upon seeing her again, the black aura had completely disappeared. She only radiated white and crystalline, still an extremely rare combination of colors, but she sensed pure goodness in Betha than the that first time that she met her; she looked genuine now. And it might have something to do with the fact that she disappeared for months and whatever happened or why it had happened, she felt relieved. At least, she could fully trust her now and could genuinely be happy that she was back.

"I'm glad you're back." Mrs. Rodriguez uttered as Betha helped her put the dishes in the kitchen sink. Gab, Leslie, and Apollo's laughter could be heard from the dining table as they talked about the time when they played the three musketeers. 

Betha couldn't help but giggle at the three and she was very appreciative to hear Mrs. Rodriguez say those words. "I'm glad that you're glad." She smiled.

"You don't have to do that, Betha. You're our guest. You're special. You don't have to help with the dishes." Apollo suddenly commented as he stood from his chair and approached the two most important women in his life.

"It's okay. I just put them in the sink." Betha responded.

"Baby, she's not our guest anymore. Yes, she is still special, but let's consider her family. She can roam around or go frolicking inside this house just like Gab always does. And just like Leslie used to do when she was very young and always playing detective. Betha is welcome here anytime like it's her own house, so let's make her comfortable," said Mrs. Rodriguez.

Apollo and Betha looked at each other with joy in their faces. "Wow, mom. Don't make me shed tears. It's Christmas." He said, jokingly.

"I feel so honored, Mrs. Rodriguez." Betha said.

"I thought I mentioned to you before that you could call me mom." 

"You never even asked Gab and Leslie to call you mom before," said Apollo.

"I did but you were such a jealous little boy. You didn't want anyone else calling me mom, so Gab and Leslie never did."

"Okay, you're making up stories now."

"Nope. I'm telling the truth. And you know that."

Apollo looked embarrassed. "Fine."

Betha and Mrs. Rodriguez let out a silent laugh. "I guess it's going to be hard to get used to it, but I'll try," said Betha.

"Trying is good. I like that," said Mrs. Rodriguez. 

Gab and Leslie rose from their seats. "This was the best meal, Andrea. I've always loved the way you cook."

Leslie slightly pushed Gab by the shoulder for calling her Andrea.

"Gab, I swear. If you call my mom by her name again, you're not invited for New Year's Eve." Apollo said, looking disgusted.

Mrs. Rodriguez laughed. "Do you now see how possessive you are, my dear?"

Apollo rolled his eyes. "We'll go upstairs for now, mom. I promise I'll take care of everything on New Year's Eve. Cooking, washing the dishes, entertaining them. All me."

"Go on. Don't be too loud though. You know our neighbor's getting a bit old. You won't want him complaining about your loud music just like last year."

"No problem."

The four young adults settled in Apollo's room. The girls were comfortably sitting on the bed, Gab rested on the beanbag and Apollo turned his back on his computer desktop to face them.

"Can I just say how thankful I am to all of you, guys? Thank you so much for helping me," said Betha.

"You've thanked us like a million times already. From when you and Apollo safely arrived, to when Apollo returned back to his human form, to when we started prepping up to go to Apollo's house, then you thanked us again in the car." Leslie said in her sweet voice. "And you are always welcome."

"We would've helped even if it weren't for Apollo," said Gab.

"Yep. These are the kinds of friends I have which is why they're more like family," Apollo said in a proud gesture.

Betha rested on her stomach, with her chin on her arms, still looking at Apollo. "How can I stop thanking you? You could've been trapped as a dog forever. You saved my life by risking yours. I  can't thank you enough." She moved back to her normal sitting position, her eyes switching between Gab and Leslie. "It was hard for so many years that I had to keep my identity from people. But knowing that there are people who accept me as I am…how can I ever repay that? I'm in awe. You guys are the most awesome people."

"I know." Gab said with confidence.

All of them giggled. 

"You're very interesting, Betha. I've researched a lot about paranormal occurrences, and I know for sure that there are a lot of unexplainable things in the world but confirming 100% that they're real because you exist…it makes me so happy. You have done me a big favor. You were my validation to the supernatural world, Betha. And I love you for that." Leslie explained.

"Les, I really like your personality more than Gab, but please don't say those three words to her again. Those are supposed to be my lines." Apollo said, feeling shy all of a sudden that he said that. "I mean. You know…maybe in the future."

Betha looked at Apollo and they stared at each other for a while. The silence got awkward to both Gab and Leslie, so they decided to get up. "Okay, we better go now. It's almost 2am. We'll see you whenever," said Leslie.

Apollo nodded but he didn't really understand a thing. All he felt that moment was gratitude for finally being alone with Betha whom he wanted to keep for himself for the rest of the night. When the siblings left and closed the door, Apollo became more aware and sensitive to Betha's presence in the room. He didn't know what to say or do; he felt like he just wanted to stare at her until the break of dawn. 

As minutes passed, the tension was growing strong. "Apollo." Betha broke the silence, but it didn't break the tension between them. 

He blinked. He hasn't blinked for some time. "Yes?"

"Come here." 

Apollo's eyes grew wide, his heartbeat accelerated, his palms got sweaty, and he had butterflies in his stomach. "Okay." He said in a trembling voice.

Betha moved to the bed's headboard and rested her back. She gestured for him to lay beside him by tapping her hands on the mattress. When she quickly wet her dry lips with her tongue as Apollo approached, his heart rate did a summersault. At the back of his mind, he was saying, "Oh my God."

She didn't say anything when he settled beside Betha, so they were both just awkwardly silent as they rested their backs on the headboard. She slowly slid her body to lie down and he did the same. Apollo couldn't say anything because he didn't want to ruin the moment. He just wanted to be with her. It killed him a bit not to be able to touch her when that was all that he was thinking, but he knew he had to be stronger by controlling his human nature. The next thing he knew, Betha squeezed herself in his arms and embraced him. Apollo's breathing grew rapid, but he didn't want that kind of tension to disturb Betha who seemed to be fast asleep in his arms. It might've taken an hour for his heartbeat and pulse to return to its normal rate. Then finally, he fell asleep.

Apollo’s ordinary life changes when a new neighbor moves right across his home. He's instantly mesmerized by her looks, unaware that she turns into an old hag with silver hair whenever someone within 5km is about to die. What happens when he finds out her true identity?

Overwatch's 5th fleet's mothership was destroyed in War's rampage. It was the first major blow to Overwatch's moral and military since War's first attack two years ago. Mike and the rest were rescued in the second day's morning by an Overwatch dropship.  
McCree, Bernhardt, Aleksei, Genji, Mike and Kadyn were gathered at the hangar.
It was Mike's last day in Overwatch, everyone drank a glass in his honour while blessings and goodbyes were exchanged between the men. It was quite the scene filled with emotion and memories, they all shared the pain and the adventure, it was a great trip. 
Kadyn walked toward Mike's back and pocked her husband's arm with a finger.

[Mike] - "Yeah? Need anything, dear? "

[Kadyn] (shy) - "I just wanna go to the bathroom, I will be back in a minute. "

[Mike] - "Okay, don't take too long. "

[Kadyn, while walking backward] - "Wait for me here, don't wander to anywhere else, Gio "

[Mike] (with a smile) - "Hehe... I won't move, I'll be here, waiting for your return. "

Kadyn disappeared behind the wall into the washroom. 

Ten minutes passed and no sound came out of the toilet almost as if Kadyn disappeared in it. Mike started to question what's going on inside the bathroom up until suddenly, Kadyn exited the place while rubbing her hairs with both of her hands. The girl advanced toward Mike and wrapped herself around Mike's left arm with a grin. 

[Mike] - "Ready to go? "

[Kadyn] - "Yeah, I am ready to go on this adventure... "

[Mike] - "Where should we go first after we leave for good? Got any suggestions? "

[Kadyn] - "I don't know... we should probably go have some fun in England? "

[Mike] (confused) - "England? I thought you wanted to go to Venice! "

[Kadyn] - "... "

[Mike, while sniffing Kadyn's hair] - "(sniff) (sniff) Wait a minute, where's the odour of perfume on your hair and... "

[Kadyn] (nervous) - "Maybe the bathroom was stinky... Well... "

Mike rubbed his hand on Kadyn's hair and gently touched her fox ears. 

[Mike] (in a serious tone) - "Come with me! "

The young man held the girl's hand tight and made his way inside a corner. Mike analyzed her face once more and taped on the crystal on her chest with his index. 

[Mike] (in a worried and serious tone) - "I will ask you three questions, Kadyn, make sure you answer them properly. "

[Kadyn] (very nervous) - "Why are you asking questions? Is there something wrong with me? "

[Mike] (frustrated) - "Shuu! Answer me, what's your favourite snack, name one of my favourite movies and what's the name of the diamond-shaped crystal on my forearm? " 

Kadyn looked at Mike with a frightened and nervous look while a drop of sweat dripped from her forehead. She was unable to protonate a single word and kept her mouth shut as she looked in pity at Mike's cold face.

[Mike] - "Answer me... Now! "

[Kadyn] (filled with fear) - "I... My favourite snack is... chocolate... Your favourite movie is... is... your crystal name is... emperor? "

Mike abruptly grabbed Kadyn by the throat and lifted her off the ground in an expression of rage. A fire burned inside Mike's eyes as he stared coldly at her. Mike slammed the girl on the wall and using his other hand, torn one of her ears down from her head. 
No blood came out of the injured spot, the ear was a fake one.

[Mike] - "I knew it! Her favourite snack is cheesecakes, one of my favourite movies is "Godfather" and my crystal is named "The Cardinal star". You are a bloody awful spy, your skills at impersonation are just as shitty as your little act. "

[Fake Kadyn] (in fear and anger) - "Gack! Dam... Damn you... "

[Mike] - "I know Kadyn too much for someone else to impersonate her! Her perfume, her hair, her ears and her personality... I'm too familiar with them to be fooled by a low-life like you, Purple Fiction! "

[Purple Fiction (P.F.)] (in anger) - "Damn you...! Don't you dare call me a low-life! "

Without a warning, Mike pummeled the imposter's face with a barrage of punches, leaving her face bloody and ugly. 

[Mike] (in a furious voice) - "You bloody vile nauseating repelling born abomination of an atrocious pig inside a pile of puke, where did you hide her? "

[P.F.] (with joy and anger) - "I sent her to our lord and saviour, Sniper. He will take great care of her for you, Mike. "

[Mike] (enraged) - "You insane ugly-ass bitch, tell me where is she right now! "

[P.F.] - "You still kept on calling me all those names even though I asked you to stop... You human are indeed a dirty creature filled with greed... I was your servant before you got me replaced. Do you know what I had to go through during all this time? Do you? " (chapter KD-555 (kadyn) )

Mike remained in a fit of rage but stay in a calm silence as he hatefully let his frustration strangle Purple Fiction.

[P.F.] (in pain) - "You... (cough)... You have to put me down if you want me to talk! "

Mike launched the girl on the floor with all of his strength and anger. The murderous thoughts were like dark smoke behind his head, the more he thought about Kadyn, the more he wanted to murder Purple Fiction in cold blood. 

[P.F.] - "You won't get away with this, Mike! I have been given a chance to humiliate you by fate, I will get the chance to watch you die at the hands of lord Sniper... As for Kadyn, you can see her in hell! "

Purple Fiction suddenly disappeared using her invisibility powers before Mike could react. In response, Mike smashed his fist on an alarm button on the wall. 
The siren cried all around the base while all the exits doors closed all possible escapes for Purple Fiction. McCree promptly ran toward Mike and thrown his cigar away.

[McCree] - "What happened, partner? Why did you sound the alarm? " 

[Mike] (in frustration) - "Kadyn... That bitch, Purple Fiction kidnapped her! "

[McCree] - "Where is she? How does she look like? "

[Mike] - "She has 2 golden horns on her head and I punched her bloody face so look for an injured woman. "

The two men quickly headed around them in an attempt to find the escape. Mike's heart was crumbling with fear and hate every second they spend searching without result. "Where is Kadyn? ", "Is she going to be alright? " and "Is she afraid? ". Mike kept asking those questions in his mind, he was drowning once again in the shadow of his dark thoughts. 
This feeling of agony, his broken mind still in recovery and his unstable personality. Mike will never be strong enough to handle the pressure if anything happened to Kadyn. All he wanted was news, news that will bring bondages to his wounded soul. 

After a few hours of search, hope degraded like an old piece of paper. 
Mike crumbled inside a corner, his eyes bulged like blood balloons, his pulse was faster than a fatigued athlete and his hands crisped to the floor. 
McCree watched Mike from afar, he never saw the confident and caring young man so broken. 
He slowly walked toward Mike and reached his hand out to the young man.

[McCree] - "Hey, let's not give up, the others are trying to help you too. "

Mike looked at McCree for a second and with a sigh, stood up by grabbing onto McCree's hand. 

[Mike] (in an emotionless voice) - "What if she was really gone? "  

[McCree] - "Hey, don't give up, young man, don't let this pull you down to your knees, you faced challenges greater than this before! "

[Mike] - "Wait a minute, if she wanted to escape then she must be trying to find an easy exit... "

[McCree] - "We looked through every weak point of this base, she was nowhere to be found. "

[Mike] - "Unless... the reactor room, there is a ventilation exit. "

[McCree] - "What? Let's go check that out then! "

Without losing a second, both of them speedily made their way toward the reactor room. 

The emptiness was all they can find inside the reactor chamber but Mike knew that she was around. Mike looked around the place and examined the ventilation conduct with care. To his shock, 3 of the bolts were snatched from the seal to the conduct. Purple Fiction was already trying to exit from the ventilation system. She was one bolt away from managing her escape. 
All of sudden, both McCree and Mike heard light footsteps behind them but by turning their head, there was no one behind them. 
Mike looked around him and with his power, made a small glass jar using an exit panel. 

[Mike] (in a hurry) - "McCree, I need you to pee in this jar! "

[McCree] (confused) - "What? Why would you think of something like this? "

[Mike] - "That's a familiar recipe, that's a tactic we use when we are dealing with invisibility. "

[McCree] (confused) - "What? How's pee in a jar gonna help us find her? "

[Mike] - "For fuck's sake, McCree, just fucking do it! "

[McCree] - "What kind of fucked-up trick is this? "

McCree turned around all emptied his bladder inside the small jar.

[Mike] - "Come on, quickly! "

[McCree] - "I'm definitively taking you to a doctor after this! "

McCree handed the jar of piss to Mike and the young man looked around him. He waited for a sound, breathing and a movement in calm and readiness. 
Suddenly, Mike launched the jar his right.

[Mike] - "JARATE! "

The glass jar exploded on the wall and the yellow liquid soaked Purple Fiction wet. 

[P.F.] (in confusion) - "Wha... what... don't tell me... AAARGH, EW EW EW! OMG, you sick man! "

McCree busted in laughter while he watched the girl trying helplessly to wipe the urine off her face.

[Mike] - "You are just the shittest spy I ever encountered in my entire existence... Good grief, I will give you 30 seconds to tell me where Kadyn's at. "

[P.F.] - "No, this humiliation... You dirty man, you son of a bitch! "

[Mike] - "20 seconds left, you piss stinking little shit! "

[P.F.] - "Hehe, hehe, hahaha! "

[Mike] (in anger) - "What's so funny, dumbass? "

[P.F.] - "Because even if I tell you, you won't be able to catch up to her again. "

[Mike] (in a panic and frustration) - "What the fuck do you mean by that bullshit? "

[P.F.] - "During all this time you guys were trying to find me, she was already delivered to a secret location. "

[Mike] - "Then where is that fucking place, you dirty ass little shit? "

[P.F.] - "Like hell, I would know! You have lost, Mike, you had what you deserved, you had what people like you deserved! All hail lord Sniper, all hail mother justice. "

[Mike] (unable to hold the rage inside him) - "You... You... filthy little fuck... YOU HAVE GENUINELY PISSED ME OFF! "

Mike stabbed Purple Fiction in the chest with his hand and then proceeded to slam her body against the boiling hot generator's cooling tube. Finally, in a fit of rage, Mike launched her down the reactor shaft and watched her fall until he couldn't see her shadow. 
Mike stood motionless for a few minutes while McCree watched the young man with a sorry look. Droplets of tear dropped from his eyes while he contained the rage and sorrow exploding inside his heart.

[McCree] - "Mike, it's okay, we will find her... "

[Mike] (in tear) - "Leave me alone, McCree... I need some time alone... "

The young man walked out of the reactor chamber without a word. He looked down on the floor, remembered all the promises he made toward his wife and let another tear of sorrow fall from his eye. The hallways were empty, so was his heart. 
While he walked slowly inside the long corridor, his mouth opened and the young man started to sing a song he remembered.

[Mike] (in pain) - "Is this the real life, is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide. No escape from reality, open your eyes, look up to the skies and see... "

[Mike] (in sorrow) - "I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy because I'm easy come, easy go, little high, little low. "

[Mike] (emotionless) - "Any way the wind blows doesn't really matter to meee, to meee... "

Mike continued his way down the hall while singing his pain away.

This isn't a novel that you should read if you're looking for something fun.

I only wrote this so I could get more used to writing and get some feedback/reviews while I'm at it.

This means that it could just pause or drop whenever I feel it boring to write.

It also means that chapters are going to be randomly released.

Te Langpu and Tong were the judges of this debate. Since they knew the results of this battle in the other timeline, they understood which strategy would work and which would not.
For this competition, Liu Ye and Liu Xie also participated in the debate, challenging Sima Yi's title.
Liu Ye and Liu Xie came up with a strategy that they would use the firepower of repeating crossbows to mow down all Yuan Shao's forces in direct combat. Most of the other competitors emphasized on ambushing tactics or hit-and-run tactics. On the contrary, Sima Yi had another idea.
As if he was Guo Jia in the other timeline, he pinpointed Yuan Shao's weaknesses, the granaries and food supply of the million-man army. He avoided all direct combat against Yuan Shao while he sabotaged Yuan Shao's personal assets, such as sending fake news, conning Yuan Shao's officers, and seducing Zhang He and Gao Lan into rebelling against their lord.
As Tong had expected, Sima Yi's performance outshone all young strategists. Many observers in this debate were astonished by his talent, and his fame spread among the lower employees' circles. Although the teenage did not come here with his freewill, Tong was impressed nonetheless.
Sima Yi's ideas even brought attention to all Tong's strategists in the clan chat when Xun Yu relayed the details. Even Ju Shou, Xun You, and Jia Xu found it challenging in this fiction scenario.
Sima Fang also observed this debate on the sideline. As the sponsor who forcefully sent Sima Yi into the competition, he would not miss the show.

With her extra speed and reaction, not many adults could square with her longer than 20 moves. All the children were no match for her.
This year, Liu Xie, Cao Ang, and Liu Xie's sole follower participated in this competition. Several martial art schools also sent their best students here, hoping to score a title and spread their fame.
Zhang Min came back from a date with Sima Yi just to defend her title. The latter followed after the little girl around as if he was her puppy, which made Sima Fang grimaced.
After two hours of the preliminary matches and tournament matches, two finalists were decided.
The first one was the previous champion, the princess Zhang Min.
And the other one was called by his nicknamed, "Wenchang."
Zhang Min took her long pole stick and pointed at Wenchang with a grin.
"I won't hold back! Make sure you use my father's overclock this time."
Wenchang sighed. He might have received some guidance from Tong when he first entered the academy, but he really had not mastered the ability yet.
He glanced at the emperor in reluctant.

Tong sighed and shook his head as he had predicted it. His daughter would not be able to handle this future historical figure with his legacy skills.
The reason that Tong taught Wenchang was not because he was the best student in the academy. He knew about this teenager's potential.
The referees jumped onto the tournament stage and stopped the match. The victor and the new champion had been decided.
"WINNER, WEI YAN, WEI WENCHANG!"
Wenchang was the style name of a great general of Shu Kingdom in the other timeline, Wei Yan.

This redemption program by the gods and devils didn't seem to be simple. There was definitely something fishy going on. 

Then the hidden agenda revealed itself to the reincarnators. Zhang Tong had to utilize everything by any means necessary to survive this ordeal.

Patience and high tolerance are required for this novel. Constant nerfs, plot twisted, and changes in the story are expected. 

All RoTK fans should also be warned. I don't follow the trends of historical events. All characters and their thought won't be like in the 14th-century novel RoTK or Dynasty Warrior.

Again, I don't sell 100% wet-dreams in this novel. I mixed nightmares in it.
