* JAPANESE FANTASY NOVELS

Japanese Fantasy novels have made extensive exploration of the Western Fantasy concepts. Japanese people are constantly being outsourced into various fantasy worlds, and the average Japanese wouldn't be surprised to one day wake up and find himself in a different world or in a room with white walls and white tiles.

They have also spread the notion that being squashed by a big, heavy truck is perhaps, not necessarily a bad thing !

These are some of the popular novels which we know. Each of them is very unique in it's own way and have become popular in it's own right. It would be incorrect to call them a failure, as they have correctly captured their intended audience – the Japanese teenage audience. However, when thinking about a broad perspective, these novel become obsolete when it competes on a global level with other web novels, and the majority of the reason for their deficiency is simple – the Protagonist in these novels is a typical Japanese light novel protagonist, who is naïve and a dumb virgin idiot. It is as if he has never received any sex education, and would always talk some naïve things which do not match with his current situation. Their behavior is somewhat correct given that these protagonists are usually high school kids, but the readers have difficulty accepting such an immature protagonist.

Web novels are about accumulating wealth, women and power. So when a reader reads the protagonist behaving like a dumb virgin when a girl approaches him, or when he does not actively seek wealth and power, the reader is bound to get angry and disappointed.

A good example can be found in the following example :

In Tsuki ga Michibiku, the Protagonist Makoto establishes a business half-heartedly, and his business is more like charity to the hyumans, the same hyumans the majority of whom treat him like sh*t and had killed his subordinates. Instead of developing his Asora realm, where we might have enjoyed him developing a realm and being a king or even god, he keeps roaming throughout the world unnecessarily.

Also, he had two beautiful subordinates who are eager to have sex with him, but apparently he sees them as 'sisters' or 'family', so he cannot do that. (Perhaps he has not read any incest hentai, or heard of Kiss X Sis)

Note that this is not just about sex, as there was a very broad scope for plot development in Tsuki ga Michibiku. For example, Makoto could have properly developed the Asora realm, showing us some world building and kingdom building. He could even have married Tomoe and Mio and their kids would have been demi gods who would do various mischiefs in the hyuman realm. There might have even been wars of Asora vs hyumans.

In short, the Japanese protagonists have disappointing characteristics on a global scale, and are not entertaining to read.

* SOLUTION FOR ALL THIS…

Japanese isekai novels have good would building (from light novel and web novel perspective), and this fact cannot be ignored.

My idea is simple, that is to write a fan fiction of a pre-existing light novel or use the basic ideas and rewrite the novel, the only change being the utterly virgin protagonist. The protagonist would simply be 'de-virginized' and re-introduced. This change might seem small but actually opens up a lot of routes for novel writing. (as in Tsuki ga Michibiku example)

The protagonists in these isekai novels are already powerful, and if they are re-written of as being mature, smart and driven by ambition, then they would become warlords, making the story even more interesting to read.

The bottle in Chen Xiaolian’s hand fell and he subconsciously reached out to catch it. He then looked at the middle-aged man sitting across from him. “GM?”

“Yes, something like that.”

“If that is the case, then… within this world, are you not tantamount to God? You… you are in league with ‘them’?” Chen Xiaolian’s tone turned anxious. “If I am to assume that… this world of ours is created by an existence similar to a ‘game company’… then, that means you are a member of the game company?”

“Game company? This comparison is quite an interesting one. Not exactly correct, and yet not exactly incorrect,” The middle-aged man pondered. “I could indeed be considered to be on the same side as ‘them’, however, there are some differences between me and ‘them’.”

“This ‘them’ that you are talking about. What are ‘they’?” Chen Xiaolian was suddenly fearful. “Are they… humans? What I mean is, are they real humans?”

“This so-called real humans, what do you mean by that?” The middle-aged man frowned.

“You see, I am a writer,” Chen Xiaolian thought about it and slowly said. “If I am to write out a novel, say a wuxia novel. In this novel, the world inside is something I created. However, the characters within the novel, Yang Guo, Xiao Longnu, Guo Jing, Huang Rong, Wei Xiaobao… they are all humans[1]. But in fact, they are but virtual characters that I created. As a writer, I am the real human. What I did was to use my own race as a template to create them.

“However, according to what you said, we are in fact the one who were created.

“Doesn’t that mean that we are just like the characters within a novel? Regardless if we are just passers-by or NPCs, at the end of the day… a more advanced civilization created us by using themselves as the template.”

While speaking, Chen Xiaolian took in another mouthful of beer. “Newton, Damon, Sara… all these fellows. They are all part of this advanced civilization. They are the real ‘humans’. Am I not right?”

“This comparison is indeed correct,” The middle-aged man nodded. “From a logical point of view, the situation could indeed be understood as so.”

He then smiled again. “Truthfully, in terms of races, culture, and many other aspects, ‘they’ who created ‘your’ world did so using themselves as template.

“This is very understandable. In any act of creation, the creators will unconsciously use themselves as the template in their act of creation.

“If we were to take a game as an example, should the characters in game not be human, then the players would feel a sense of disconnection. If we were to take a movie or a story as an example, should the protagonist be a non-human, then the readers and viewers would also feel a sense of disconnection.

“In this regard, I can inform you that ‘they’ and you are very similar. Naturally, there are some differences.”

“Then… what about you?” Chen Xiaolian smiled with resentment. “The you who is currently sitting before me, who claims to be the GM of this world, are you also a member of this ‘game company’? Within this world, I am both omniscient and omnipotent. From the large-scale aspects of the development of civilizations to the smaller scaled lives of each character, I am the one who monitors and manages. When the necessity arrives, I would then make adjustments to fit the ‘set storyline’.”

“Eh?”

“For example, if the ‘story’s content’ requires that an important character dies in a car accident, then I am responsible for ‘creating’ this accident so that this character would die. After that, the following aftermath would be executed. For example, if the ‘world’s background setting’ requires that a war erupts between nations, I will be responsible for making adjustments to the operations of the world, leading to a war being launched between nations – this is a very complicated process, politics, ideals, interests, and the characters involved… all of these requires a precise level of calculation. Only after that would the ‘drama’ be allowed to unfold.”

Chen Xiaolian quietly drank up the beer from the bottle and then exhaled. “For example… World War I? World War II?”

The middle-aged man nodded his head.

“I… am I allowed to swear?” Chen Xiaolian seemed about ready to burst out in tears. “You are saying… you are the God of this world, the Lord… WWI and WWII is something that you created?”

“Like I said, it is a very complicated process. In order to ensure that the storyline is reasonable, then the things that happen should be logical. The political stances of the warring nations, the reason for going to war… all these are within the plans for the storyline.”

The middle-aged man smiled. “I am not a real human. I am simply a main program that was created. I am responsible for management, calculation and at times, even ‘modifications’.”

“Heavens…” Chen Xiaolian kneaded his face forcefully. Due to having drunk two bottles of beer, his face felt somewhat numb. “How powerful are ‘they’? They created thousands of years’ worth of civilizations; tens of thousands of years’ worth of history… all of it… wait! That is not right! Could it be that this ‘game’ had been in existence for hundreds of millions of years? The time involved when the Big Bang happened is measured using hundreds of millions of years!”

“A different concept of time,” The middle-aged man laughed. “You are following the ‘in game time’, whereas they follow the ‘time outside the game’. Similar to when you are writing a novel, you can simply write ‘a few years later’. Then the world within the novel would be moved forward by several years. But outside the novel…”

“Understood.”

Chen Xiaolian frowned. “Then… what about the instance dungeon that I had just experienced? Those 72 Demons… that is just a myth! They do not exist within our world.”

“As I have said, this world is created by them. They can thus create more at will,” The middle-aged man lightly replied. “Remember, this world is merely something that they have created as a background for their ‘game’. They are all backgrounds, you, everyone, all of civilization and history. They all form the ‘background’. Within this background, this stage, if any character or anything is required, then it can be created at will.

“Not only could they create Solomon King’s 72 Demons, they could even create Noah’s Ark, or even the ten thousand divine soldiers in the Siege of Flower and Fruit Mountain.[2]

“Everything is dependent on what kind of storyline that the ‘Development Team’ comes up with.”

“En, these are ‘instance dungeons’?”

“Correct. More accurately, these are the storyline’s quests. It all depends on what they want to create.”

Unknowingly, Chen Xiaolian had begun drinking his third bottle of beer.

His drinking capacity was not too good. After his third bottle, his mind began feeling blurry. “Then… why did you come find me? According to what you are saying, I am just a passer-by, an NPC. You could have just let me go on with my life, why did you have to come find me? Why are you telling me all of this?”

“Why… why would I end up being involved in the King Solomon’s 72 Demon’s instance dungeon?”

“Naturally, rebel against ‘them’.”

“Aren’t you in league with them? You are the main program that they created, the main program responsible for controlling this world. Why do you want to rebel?”

Chen Xiaolian was shocked yet again.

The smile on the middle-aged man finally dissipated.

He silently regarded Chen Xiaolian, then slowly stood up.

“If we are to look at a novel or a movie, there would always be an ending part, a ‘The End’ moment. Now if we are to look at it from a game perspective, there would always be an ending part for its main storyline and quests. So then, what do you think would happen at that moment?”

Chen Xiaolian suddenly became alert!

“World… destruction? Elimination?”

“Hehehehe…” The middle-aged man shook his head. “This world is a sandbox. After they created this sandbox, countless Players could enter and play or use it… however, after they are done with it, they will not destroy this sandbox. They will only… restart everything.”

“Restart… everything?”

“Indeed, ‘reset’, ‘refresh’, you may use other words to describe it, but the meaning remains.”

The middle-aged man looked down at Chen Xiaolian. “This ‘reset’ and ‘refresh’ is actually constantly occurring. One such example is the little island in which you completed the 72 Demons’ instance dungeon. When the instance dungeon began, the plane crashed, then the island suffered from an earthquake, in addition, there were many people who died… however, after the instance dungeon was completed, everything was refreshed.

“Thus, as you can observe, the plane remained intact. And those people also remained alive…”

“Because… they have been reset? Refreshed?”

“Correct. However, this is only a reset and refresh of a single small instance dungeon.”

The middle-aged man slowly spoke. “In this game, there is a main storyline. The main storyline will be revealed step by step. Then, the Players will arrive to complete the quests one by one… if they are to successfully get an ‘all clear’ situation…”

“Then, another cycle?” Chen Xiaolian became stunned.

“Correct. After an all clear, the main storyline of this world will be restarted, reset and refreshed… As for me, this main program… I too will be refreshed.”

“Not death? Not elimination?”

“To be reset means that all of my existing memories will be erased, they will all be forcibly erased by the system.”

The middle-aged man lightly continued. “I am one who had gained self-awareness. If this self-awareness is erased by the system during the resetting process… then, that would mean I no longer exist, that would be the equivalent of my death… in my place would be another me in a blank state.”

He gave Chen Xiaolian a glance. “What is the meaning of life, what is the meaning of death. I think that there are many different explanations for those two. However, in your case… Why is Chen Xiaolian Chen Xiaolian? That is because you have lived for eighteen years, your eighteen years’ worth of life, all your memories, all your feelings… they all come together to form ‘you’. However… if all those feelings, memories and experience are erased… then, from a self-awareness perspective, ‘you’ are already dead.”

“… I think I understand.”

Chen Xiaolian’s gaze was somewhat blank. “So… you want to stop those Players from getting an ‘all clear’?”

“Correct.”

I have fun writing Tenchi guardian of the multiverse, the last time I had so much fun writing was death mage novel. 

What  it is about is the MC is the grandson  of two of the strongest in the world. Nurarihyon (from Nura rise of the yokai) and Katsuhito Masaki (From Tenchi Universe)

This organization has taken control of the multiverse with its leader goal (fragment of the 8th order) of bringing destruction. his universe is prime, so he can combine the dimensions together and save them, or destroy them to sever them and lead them to their destruction 

The MC is more complex of a character than Eros. He's overpowered but at the same time he isn't. 

He has memories of his 3rd life...he is also able to talk with his previous lives similar to seven or avatar cycle. his first life is obvious if you been reading this...his second life he was a cultivator but the MC has no knowledge what he did or why but gods seem to have liked him and third life he was Kazu from air gear. 

When Tenchi (the MC) goes to a new world he combines with his otherself of that dimension. But its not that simple. how they combine will effect Tenchi...

One is to become one with each other. they will become one mind and body but both personalities will be different. they'd still have each other memories but during the process, they will be weakened and in a normal person level until our power is returned. The second one is they assimilate with him into Tenchi and then Tenchi can use his powers right away but afterward depending on how he use it he may take longer to have your powers returned maybe months or years depending on it...and if he use too much at once he would be in a limbo-like place where time flows differently...The final thing is for them to fight it out and the winner will gain everything and the other will be fully erased.

I'll give an example if Tenchi was to go to Naruto and become IDK Minato. He may become him right before Minato sacafice himself. If Tenchi assimilates with him. Tenchi can use one of his weapons to destroy the Nine tails but Tenchi using so much energy right away would be crippled for years...(I explain it in the novel...)

Also Tenchi only becomes people who he is similar to. 


Now for powers. Tenchi is able to transform. I call them his devil mode, Hero mode and god mode. each form has negative and positive. but I said before he isn't overpowered but he is. Thats because his only thing he has going for him is his body has limitless potential..and his memory.thats it...he has no talent. (He has no battle instincts) He copies the best training methods and makes it his own thats how he gets stronger fast. He fights smartly. He looks for weaknesses and uses them to his advantage. 

Another thing is he is able to have his women become weapons and armor for him. Everyone of his women can transform to some sort of weapon. for example these 5 quintuplets are able to become rings(  kurapika hxh weapons)Only if they truly love him through and Tenchi has no problem leaving girls he slept with or killing  his former love ones. They betray him he would kill them in a second. 

There are other stuff but If you have any questions just ask. but again I ask you to check it out. You decide his path in the world not me...:(  for example I wanted him to go to K project everyone else chose Nisekoi so he went there. That changed his friends family and how he will act in the future. One day I'll ask go to Goblin slayer, Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken, . One Tenchi will have negative feelings for Goblins another Tenchi would have positive...

Now then as for chapters. I will do chapters weekly maybe friday, saturday or sunday. (maybe longer chapter or multiple chapters) As for other novel I will do daily. May change in the future through...

Levels will be grouped into 6 different sections that represent how the world would see someone of that level. Below will be all current groups, please note this may change as the story develops. 

Rookie 1-10 

Adventurer 11-20

Expert 21-30

Legend 31-40

Saint 41-50

An example of how this would change a characters view of another character would be a town throwing a parade for a righteous god level character who slayed a dragon, However if a rookie somehow killed a dragon, he would probably be accused of either stealing someone else's kill or burned at the stake for being a demon.

Stats 
Stats are given to a character at birth and determine what skills get bonuses on a character level up. There are 6 stats and they are;

Strength

Constitution 

Intelligence

Charisma

Agility

Dexterity

Each stat will be graded with SSS being the best and F being the worst. SSS with give a +8 skill boost on level up and it will decrease by one when the grade decreases by one for example SS is +7.


Skills 

There are many different skills that will be present i n the novel going forwards however these are the only ones that will get a bonus for a character level up, the other skills will level up by use and will not receive extra points for a characters level up. (Maybe subject to change at a later date):

Abilities: 
Abilities are are how skills will appear in the world, for example the magic skill may appear as the ability Fire ball. While skills like dagger combat may lead to unique abilities as they are levelled up like back stab where the user appears behind the target and strikes them in the back for extra damage.

Skills can also combine with one another if they are at a high enough level to create combined skills like the fiery daggers of hell where the user ignites their own daggers with flame magic causing extra fire damage to any enemies that they hit.

Abilities also level up when they are used and can mutate or evolve to make them deal extra effects, for example back stab may evolve into explosive shadow where the user disappears and reappears behind a target causing a minor fiery explosion when their daggers make contact with the enemy.



Why would the reader need to know this? Well first thing is so you know how I will be levelling characters and what different areas of the status page will mean when it is introduced in chapter 2. The second reason is that I will be posting a second Auxiliary chapter with different templates for inputting some of your ideas into the novel.

Firstly, I want to say That I have permission form the previous writer of the Warring Kingdoms novel to use both his opening two chapters and the story in general. 

Now onto my take of the world, Orcs are a long dead species, they have been driven to the far corners of the planet due to the fear of their military might.

This is a revival of my old novel, after I left it for a while I have decided to rewrite some sections of the original. 

When Alex was diagnosed with cancer his belief in the world plummeted to extremely low levels. 

Months passed with no signs of him recovering, the illness was getting worse and he was now unable to move without assistance.

As he was considering ending his life, a mysterious app appeared on his phone and it activated itself. It asked him one question. "Are you fed up of what this world has given you?"

Though Dongfang Ruyi was always kind and gentle in front of her, it did not change the fact that he was actually a very ruthless and manipulative person.

"I can't."
"Do you really can't..." Mu Xuan Yin with a spoiled tone that could make any male heart itches.
"Yes, I can't." Dongfang Ruyi quickly answered her again with a blank tone without any expression.

Hello everyone and thank you for reading my novel. There may be good and interesting things but I still have a lot of things that needs to improve on. 

I don't really have much to say here I guess?

Anyways, I was thinking for a while what should I do with the auxiliary volume and decided to add things like character backgrounds, equipment, short volume synopsis and the zombies the characters encountered in the novel.

These chapters will be regularly updated once there are changes or things to be added.

Be aware that I won't add spoilers in these chapters and only add things that are known in the novel or things that would never be mentioned in the novel. A good example of these things that will never be mentioned are some of the characters' past or background that don't really needed to be said in the novel as they won't really affect anything in the story or the characters themselves don't really think about those memories.

It appears some people are confused about my current fiction, "The Descent To Depravity". So, I'll be clearing some confusions and answering questions in this one.
1). This novel is an anthology of short stories where the setting is essentially a world of reversed gender roles.
2). No, The small series in this anthology will not be continued if the numerals (For Example, "__ (1)") have ended, meaning the series of said short story has ended.
3). No, I'm not doing requests. This is more of an outlet for me to write whatever fantasies I thought of during the day/night. 
4). Yes, I will eventually be and am writing up the draft of a novel currently. After this is finished, I'll release the novel.
5). Yes, I publish on other web novel sites, but none of them have a chapter advantage or privileges over the other. It is simply to stretch my reach of influence.
6). I'm sorry for going ghost on all of you. College season has started but don't worry. I have already written up a schedule and will follow it strictly.  
7).  Yes, I will be putting up a ******* eventually since I am going to pursue a career in writing. But. It will take a while, a really lonngggg while.
