When Victor told me that I could not have my camera crew, I headed to his office and complained to him about how big this story would be if we had a proper team working on it. When we were arguing we were interrupted by someone walk near us.
Victor introduced himself to the stranger but found out that he is the new cameraman they just hire. When Victor was happy about his new hire, but his face turned sour for a second before replacing it with a flash of brilliance, he turned his head towards me and told me I would get a one-person crew.
I scanned the new hire properly; he is six feet tall with short white hair and tan skin; he also has two different colored eyes. But when I looked at his left hand and was surprised at what I see. I look at Victor with anger in my face and complain to him.
 Elean: "Victor, you cant do this to me; you can't just hand over a disable person to me and expect him to work with one hand." I said with an angry look at Victor.
Victor, with a wicked smile, just laughs at me.
Victor: "HAHAHA… think of this as training the new cameraman on how to use a camera using one hand," he said and proceeded to laugh even louder while leaving towards his office. I glared at Victor as if I could burn a hole through the back of his head while he was walking back to his office.
I turned my head toward the new cameraman; he had a confused look in his face. I asked his name again as I didn't hear it properly last time I was arguing with Victor.
Elena: "Uhm… what's your name again? Sorry, I didn't catch your name the first time you introduce yourself." I said and realized I never introduce my self to him yet. "Sorry, I never told you my self, again, my name is Elena Fisher. I'm a journalist." I hold out my hand, shaking his.
Joseph: "sorry for the inconvenience. I'm Joseph Maiava, ex-military, and a newly hired cameraman." he said with a proud smile on his face.
Elena: "Uhm, sorry for dissing on you because of your disabilities you don't have to worry about you not being able to use the camera. You could still operate a camera using one hand." I said, feeling guilty that I called him useless. "Anyways we need to get ready in six hours we will be going to fly to Panama to meet some treasure hunter, oh, by the way, make sure you know how to swim we will be on the boat throughout this." 
Joseph: "I got it ill meet you at the airport. I still need to meet a friend that is living here in New York." he said before heading towards the elevator before coming to a stop and coming back here. "Sorry, here's my number to call me when you get there," he said before heading off.

I walked out of the building and hailed a cab toward the Grand Central station. In a few minute's ride, I already reached my destination. I headed inside the train station, but instead of going to buy a ticket for the train. I headed toward the public bathroom, I stop near a wall and look around if everything is clear before passing through the wall. On the other side of the wall is the all too familiar teleportation system to Agartha. 
Without hesitation, I went into the portal, and when I reached Agartha, I headed towards Android 18's apartment in between the commercial district and housing district. When I entered her home, I dodge a rocket-powered boot coming towards me even though I said that this was an apartment, it is more of a research facility.
Joseph: "Yo, 18, are you here, you said to come here when I'm free," I said, waiting for any sign of 18, in her apartment. I finally Heard her opened the door toward one of her room, where she makes her tech are. "18, why do you need me here for I need to go back in six hours or I would miss my flight," I said impatiently.
18: "don't worry, it won't take long; come here, follow me to one of the R&D rooms." She said while dragging me along. When I enter the room with all the robotic limbs, I realized what the surprise she wanted to see. I looked at 18 in shock.
18: "Surprise, after you have lost your left arm, I have been developing bionic limbs for you to use, but due to time, I could only make you my prototype." She said an handed me a black bionic left arm. "This is Mk.45 Bionic arm variant black; it has two modes; grappling gun and electric hands. I was planning on adding more modes, but I didn't have much time before you leave. But there is one downside to this. You still need to come by and repair it, hey, it's better than nothing right. Go on, try it on." she said with a smile on her face.
I took off my fake plastic arm, I put on the new bionic arm and try moving my arm left and right and squeezing my hands into a fist. I tried out the grappling gun mode then electric hand mode. Both I liked as both have some uses in combat. A loss of thought, I looked at 18 and asked her a question.
Joseph: "why did you decide to build this for me?" I said with a grateful look in my face.
Eighteen looked at me as if she heard the funniest joke in the world and laughed out loud right in front of me.
!8: "you never did realize how nice you are to everyone around you, you even treated me as a person more than the people we swore to protect, they saw me as a weapon that they can use. That is also the reason I'm retiring from SCP; there's no point in working for them anymore." she said with a smile on her face. I looked at her with a grateful look and thanked her.
Joseph: "thank you, 18, ill never forget what you have done for me." I said with glee full smile on my face.
18: "don't worry about it, just make sure to come by often as that is still a prototype and might not work as intended sometimes." she said and looked at the time. And turned to me, "give me feedback on what to improve on to your bionic arm, and I will tweak the next arm I am currently working on."
Joseph: "Yes ill makes full use of this new arm and give you some feedback when field testing it," I said while checking how much time before I need to head back to New York. "I need to head back and catch a flight to Panama. See you 18."
In a few minutes, I'm now in front of Newart international airport waiting for Elena to call me.

I have seen too many anime fanfics. I want to change that by adding video game fanfic based on the tomb raider games and comic book. I am also first writing fanfic, so go easy on me when criticizing. Also, English is not my primary language, but I live in America long already to know some basic English.

It was a few weeks later and I was now much stronger. The only thing holding me back was lack knowledge. Sheila's collection was good, but I needed better. Much better. 
I had recently been distancing myself from the Scooby gang. I had to make sure it wasn't an abrupt change otherwise it'd be suspicious. So I was taking it slowly. Talking less in school by acting as if I was really focused on class work. Or not being able to hang out because I was at home studying. This was believable since the results were obvious with my better grades. Though it was because of having a past life, but they don't need to know that.

I was currently waiting at the front desk to ask if they could tell me my locker combination, because discreetly using magic to unlock it every time was starting to get tedious, when Jared from my maths class, someone who was some random background character , approached me. "Hey Bonnie" he smiled
"Hi Jared do you need something?" I asked politely. With a charming smile he voiced "Nah just came to ask you if you wanted to go on date later, maybe at the grill or something? I'm not picky" 
I inwardly sighed. I knew this would happen sooner or later, I was now a pretty girl and have a much better personality than the original Bonnie if I do say so myself. I had also been wondering about my sexuality now that I'm a girl, but since I've been so busy practising with Shiela I hadn't gotten round to it.
Well there's an easy way to test it. I shut my eyes much to the confusion of Jared and imagined a very beautiful naked lady... yep I still like women. Now for the ultimate test. In the future many threats will make their way to Mystic Falls and it's always been the Scooby gang vs them, I know that may sound naive thinking that just because I'm not one of them it means I'm not involved. I know being a Bennett instantly involves me in many fights, but I can also avoid so much more fights just by being on my own independent team. I'm not so selfish as too not help when it won't negatively effect me. But if you're expecting me to fight the original Hybrid for the sake of Elena fucking Gilbert,someone who I barely hold any emotional attachment to, then you can go jump of a cliff.

I decided to go home early since I had a plan to put into action. I make my way to Sheila's basement and search through her things. I'm looking for a very specific item.
"Where is it, where is it, where is it. Come o- AH HA found it"
In a box I could see many different types of jewels, but the one I was looking for and had just found, lapis lazuli gemstone, could be used to create daylight rings. 
Let's get this straight, a LOT of vampires are extremely rich and would also be willing to pay millions for a daylight ring. Too many witches believe that creating a daylight ring for a vampire is "going against nature" or "siding with the vampires" but there are decent vampires out there who could use a daylight ring.
Like that guy Elijah killed by throwing coins at his glass windows causing him to burn from the sun... "And I'm gonna take all his money" I giggled. 

After pocketing the gemstones in my bedroom for when I learn the spell to create a daylight ring I went to speak to Rudy about going on vacation during the summer.

"I was wondering what are we doing for summer vacation?" I asked with fake curiosity

That's right you guessed it. New Orleans AKA "night walker" central. As long as I can avoid Marcel and his day walkers I should be able to rake in some cash by selling day light rings. Anonymously of course. 
"Why would want visit New Orleans" "Come on dad that's like asking why do want visit New York city. Do I need a reason? Its New Orleans." I said cheekily "oh and I was also hoped it'd be just me and you, father daughter time" "Not even your Grams?" "No I'd prefer just us". 
Why no Grams you may be wondering? Because that's same as inviting the police to watch you rob someone. No thank you. The polic-I mean Sheila can stay home and rest her old bones. I waited for Rudy's decision and three minutes later her replied with....
"I'll think about". I could only sigh in dissatisfaction and head to my room to practice some more magic.

Two months later and here I was. Still going to this shit school. I'm honestly starting to believe I'm becoming dumber whilst being here. its currently my free period.

Down the hall was Caroline and Elena storming towards me. My mind races as I think of a solution before deciding not to run, but to face them instead.
I steel my nerves before on a fake-which is much better than before- smile and walk towards their direction meeting them in the middle. 
I open my mouth to speak but Elena beats me to it. She grabs my hand pulls me into the restroom adjacent to us whilst Caroline follows.
I look into both their eyes and I can instantly tell that they are pissed, but I can also see they are dejected. As if mourning the loss of a friend. 
It's been a months since we have a real conversation. I've hung out with them every now and then for sake of not completely breaking ties since I might need them. But I have also detached myself from their inner circle for the sake of not being targeted along with them in the future.
They've put up with it for a long while and I could tell Caroline wanted to say something a long time ago but Elena held her back thinking I just needed space. What I want is to be an outer friend. 
You know, those people you smile at on when you see them and you would help each other out when convenient, but no deeper ties.

Elena took a deep breath calming herself
"Why are you avoiding us" I winced at the crack in her voice. "I'm not avo-" "Bonnie I swear to god if you say aren't avoiding u-" *sigh* she cuts her self off with a sigh and I could see the tears welling in her eyes. I look at the oddly quiet Caroline and am surprised to tears actually running down her face.
"Please BonBon we just want know what we did" Caroline says in the most pitiful voice I've ever heard. I rack my brain for an excuse and only one comes to mind. 
"It's nothing you did Caroline. As cliche as it sounds it's not you, it's me" I hesitate thinking if this will get them of my case whilst putting us where I want to be.
"What is it Bonnie please you can tell us anything" I could tell them I was gay and attracted to them. But its was 2007 and we were 15-16 year olds. That could freak them out enough to get them to do more than back off.
But I decide to just give them bullshit
" I'm just so focused on studies and i have been having trouble with my Grams. I didn't realised I was neglecting you." I said a sincere and concerned frown. "I really wasn't avoiding you. We're only 15 and we have are entire lives to make more friends. I just have so many more important and stressful things going on at home that I can't speak about. We can still be friends and hang out sometimes just not as often. This isn't as serious as you're making it out to be." Is with a slight confused tone. They opened their mouths to speak, but this time I beat them to it.

Grabbing their hands I said "How about later we go out to eat and tonight we'll have a sleepover. I just need you to understand I'm not gonna have anywhere near as much free time as I used to" 
Elena sighed at looked at me with expression I couldn't quite make out and said "ok bu-" before she could go any further the bell rang and a bunch of loud cheerleaders came in.

With a reluctant look on my face I let go of their hands. "Sorry I'm late and have to go. See you later" I rattled of quickly and swiftly exited the restroom before either of them could react.
I inwardly sighed and wished that things would get easier.

A week later

After the sleep over with Elena and Caroline I managed too assure them that our friendship is okay and that they did nothing wrong. After a very long struggle. 
Now we're just where I want to be. "Friends" but not friends you would expected to risk your life for. So in the future, if for whatever reason I don't immediately side with them it wont be entirely "unexpected"and Vice versa.

I was currently standing in Mystic Falls cemetery. It was 7pm and I had told Rudy and Grams I was going out get a snack. 
In front of me was the grave of "Giuseppe Salvatore" The grave containing Emily Bennett's grimoire. 
"Phasmatos radium calaraa" I chanted 5 times casting the cloaking spell just incase anybody came by. This way the cops wouldn't get a call about a grave robber. 
"Motus" I put more magic than I have put into a movement spell, pulling the grave out of the ground. It's looks just as old and dirty as I expected. With a wave of my hand the grave opens and a book comes flying out straight into my arms. I put the grave back into the ground and try to cover it back in dirt manually using a shovel so it's doesn't look like a mess, and make my way home with a satisfied smile.

Time to start making some daylight rings.

Amanda masuk ke rumah Elena dengan wajah terkejut, memandang Clara dan Rei kini sedang mencoba kostum yang akan mereka pakai malam nanti.

Sebenarnya kemarin Amanda telah setuju ikut bersama Marco untuk terbang ke New York, namun tiba-tiba ada tugas mata kuliah yang harus ia kumpulkan agar bisa tinggal di kota ini selama tiga hari. Bagaimanapun wanita itu tidak ingin mengulang mata kuliah yang sama tahun depan.

Amanda mendekat seraya memegang kedua lengan Clara. "Kenapa kau tidak bilang kalau pria yang dijodohkan olehmu adalah Hazel?"

Senyum mengembang di bibir Clara melihat reaksi Amanda yang terlalu serius. "Ya ... anggap saja kejutan."

"This is freakin' crazy! Aku menelepon Alex dan dia telah diberitahu oleh Hazel," balas Amanda tidak habis pikir bahwa sahabat dan saudaranya menyembunyikan hal sepenting ini. Ia baru mengetahuinya dari media dan sosial media pagi ini.

"Tenanglah Amanda, pesta malam nanti lebih penting," ujar Rei yang tidak seheboh Amanda ketika mendengar bahwa orang yang akan dijodohkan dengan Clara adalah Hazel.

"Dan kau menyetujuinya tanpa pernah bertemu Hazel?" tanya Amanda masih memandang serius Clara.

Clara tersenyum. "Siapa bilang aku belum pernah bertemu dengannya?"

Mata Amanda mengerjap dan Rei yang baru mendengar hal itu juga, memilih meninggalkan seragam penjara yang dipegangnya dan mulai mendengar penuturan Clara bahwa sebenarnya wanita itu telah bertemu dengan Hazel. Hanya saja mengaku sebagai wanita lain bernama Jasmine.

Mulut Amanda menganga, seolah tidak percaya bahwa Clara akan menipu Hazel. Tetapi tidak bisa dikatakan sepenuhnya menipu, karena mereka berdua telah berdua tanpa Clara ketahui bahwa dirinya telah dijodohkan dengan pria tersebut.

"Okay sampai di sini dulu bincang tentang jodoh. Kurasa persiapan pesta lebih penting," ujar Rei ingin segera Clara dan Amanda berfokus pada pesta halloween.

"Jangan khawatir, aku membawa kostumku sendiri," ujar Amanda menyeret koper dan membukanya. Ia mengeluarkan sebuah jubah hitam bertudung dan lingerie seksi yang akan dipakainya untuk bagian dalam.

Rei memutar bola matanya mendengar ide Amanda yang menurutnya absurd, ia lebih berpikir bahwa memakai seragam penjara lalu mengetuk pintu rumah dan berkata 'trick or treat' untuk mendapat permen. Kelihatan kenak-kanakan memang, tetapi sangat menyenangkan melakukannya.

Jam telah menunjukkan pukul tujuh malam. Baik Clara, Amanda dan Rei telah memakai kostum mereka. Namun baru ketiganya akan melangkah keluar sebelum seorang pengawal wanita datang dan meminta ketiganya untuk menonton televisi.

"Wanita yang dikabarkan cucu dari Marcus Venomicia, pimpinan Red Venom merupakan mahasiswi di Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Harvard bernama Clara Maurie Jasmine. Namun kabar lain menyebutkan bahwa wanita tersebut memiliki orientasi seksual yang menyukai wanita."

Suara pembawa berita membuat Amanda dan Rei menegang. Mereka berdua melirik Clara di samping mereka.

Sebuah muncul di mana Clara terekam dari bagian samping sambil berkata 'Baiklah, kalian mungkin penasaran apakah postingan Davos benar atau tidak, maka kukatakan bahwa itu benar. Karena ... akulah mahasiswi Red Venom itu'. Nama dari Davos disensor, sedangkan wajah Clara cukup terlihat jelas bagi yang mungkin pernah bertemu dengannya.

"Sampai berita ini diturunkan, belum ada tanggapan dari pihak Red Venom, mengingat anggota keluarga dari Red Venom tersebut dikabarkan akan . Sekian."

Pengawal mematikan televisi, kemudian mendekat ke arah Clara. "Apa sebaiknya Nona membatalkan untuk perayaan halloween malam ini?"

Clara menoleh sambil tersenyum tipis. "Tidak mungkin. Aku ke New York untuk bersenang-senang. Tenanglah, tidak akan akan yang mengetahuiku di luar bahkan jika aku berkeliaran," ujarnya memakai penutup mata yang membuatnya kini sangat mirip dengan gambaran pencuri di serial televisi.

"Apa Paul sudah kembali ke Inggris?" tanya Clara.

Pengawal tersebut mengangguk. "Tadi siang."

Clara tersenyum lebar. Setidaknya ia berpikir bahwa kali ini Paul tidak akan menghalangi rencananya untuk menikmati perayaan halloween. "Baguslah, jika Marco ingin mengawasiku, katakan padanya dan lainnya untuk memakai kostum halloween. Konsep malaikat pencabut nyawa akan cocok untuknya."

Tubuh Clara beralih mendekati Amanda dan Rei yang masih terdiam. "Kalian tidak mungkin terganggu bukan oleh pemberitaan itu? Lagipula beberapa di antaranya memang fakta."

"Bagaimana rekaman itu ada?" tanya Amanda melihat video di mana Clara yang mengaku sebagai anggota keluarga Red Venom.

Clara mrnghela napas. "Paling itu teman Veronica. Sekarang ... semua orang di fakultasku terutama jurusanku akan mengenaliku."

"Ayolah, ini persoalan sederhana. Kurasa Hazel lebih kaget mengetahui bahwa wanita yang akan dijodohkan dengannya dikabarkan seorang lesbian," ujar Clara tidak ingin Amanda atau Rei berpikir membatalkan rencana mereka.

Begitu keluar dari rumah, Clara bisa merasakan bahkan rumah yang berada di Meadow Lane ikut merayakan halloween. Ia mengajak Amanda dan Rei berkunjung ke salah satu rumah sahabat dari Elena.

"Rumah siapa ini?" tanya Amanda penasaran, apalagi melihat rumah tersebut hampir sama besarnya dengan rumah Elena.

"Pemilik mode Exmor," jawab Clara santai.

Mata Amanda terbelalak mendengar ucapan Clara. Bagaimana mungkin dirinya tidak mengetahui pakaian, tas atau sepatu rancangan Exmor yang selalu diperebutkan oleh kalangan wanita. Bahkan ia sendiri nemiliki satu tas dari rumah mode tersebut.

Tina Exmor keluar secara langsung memberikan Clara sekantung permen dna cokelat. Ia berbincang singkat dengan Clara membuat Amanda tidak menyangka akan melihat pendiri Exmor secara langsung.

Tidak puas hanya satu rumah, Clara juga mengunjungi salah satu sahabat baik Marcus yang merupakan pendiri perusahaan teknologi Sokou dan kali ini Rei yang takjub. Sebab pria tersebut menjadikan pendiri Sokou sebagai salah satu inspirasinya dalam menjalankan usaha di bidang teknologi.

Setelah puas mendapat permen dan cokelat. Clara memacu kendaraan mewahnya untuk menuju salah satu parade malam halloween terbesar di Amerika Serikat. Ketiganya kemudian turun dijalan di sekitar Sixth Avenue dan berjalan bersama ribuan orang lain yang memakai berbagai kostum mulai yang menyeramkan hingga unik.

Seragam penjara yang dipakai Clara dan Rei adalah pola garis hitam putih. Motif khas dari seragam tahanan yang banyak dipakai dalam komik atau film. Padahal sebenarnya seragam penjara di Amerika memakai warna orange polos.

Selain memakai penutup mata Clara juga membawa pemukul bisbol sebagai pelengkap kostumnya. Ia tertawa melihat Amanda sudah melakukan aksi gilanya. Terlihat beberapa pria mengikuti Amanda yang terus membuka-tutup jubahnya.

Tanpa disadari oleh Clara, sebenarnya Marco dan beberapa pengawal lain mengawasi wanita itu, beserta dua sahabat lainnya. Suara musik yang dibawa peserta ikut memecah keheningan malam Kota New York.

Namun sebuah suara tembakan terdengar. Sejumlah orang menjadi kasat kusut di jalanan. Clara yang sedaritadi berada di dekat Rei dan Amanda kini mulai terpisah oleh orang-orang yang membelah kerumunan sambil berlari. Hal itu diperparah oleh suara tembakan dan teriakan orang-orang yang berseru.

"Seseorang telah tertembak!"

Jantung Clara berpacu cepat. Ia bahkan melepas penutup matanya agar bisa melihat sekitarnya lebih baik. Oleh karena jalanan terlalu ramai dan mulai tidak terkendali, akhirnya ia memutuskan menuju salah satu lorong. Ia berhenti sejenak mengambil napas sambil bersandar di tembok bangunan. Situasi diperparah oleh hujan yang mulai turun.

"Hei cantik, lelah dengan paradenya? Mau bersenang-senang malam ini," ujar seorang pria mendekati Clara dengan memakai topeng. Tidak sendiri pria tersebut bersama dua orang pria lainnya.

Clara kembali berjalan merasa takut. Apalagi pria tersebut terus mengikutinya. Langkah kaki Clara semakin cepat, hingga sampai pada sebuah pembelokan dirinya tidak sengaja menabrak seseorang.

"Ah, sial! Bajuku jadi kotor," gumam Clara menyadari pakaiannya telah bercampur dengan tanah yang basah.

"Kau?"

Clara mendongak dan mendapati seorang pria menatapnya tajam. Wajah pria tersebut tidak terlihat jelas, karena lampu penerangan yang tidak terlalu terang. Ditambah dengan mereka berada di lorong sempit.

Barulah ketika pria tersebut memegang kedua lengannya agar berdiri, sehingga mata Clara membulat menyadari pria tersebut adalah Hazel.

Namun bukan hanya itu yang membuatnya terkejut, tetapi fakta bahwa kedua tangan yang mencengkram lengannya seperti ada noda berwarna merah di sana.

"Darah?" gumam Clara dengan dada berdebar. Noda tersebut perlahan luruh oleh air hujan yang semakin deras.

"Siapa namamu?" tanya Hazel kini memutar sedikit wajah Clara ke samping.

Wanita itu menelan saliva, bisa melihat bahwa sepertinya Hazel telah melihat videonya diberita yang ditayangkan tadi. Jadi mungkin mengenalinya.

"Ja ... Jasmine."

"Nama lengkap!"

"Clara Maurie Jasmine."

Bibir Hazel terkatup dengan rahang yang mengeras. Ia menatap lekat wanita di hadapannya ini yang sedang memasang raut wajah bingung, terkejut sekaligus takut?

"Apa maksudmu dengan membenarkan perjodohan tersebut?" tanya Clara menatap Hazel.

Lelaki itu mendekati Clara kemudian memegang kedua lengan perempuan itu. "Kau dan aku dalam keadaan sama-sama tidak menguntungkan bukan?"

Clara berusaha melepas tangan Hazel, namun tenaganya jelas kalah. "Tapi aku tidak terduga melakukan tindakan kejahatan sepertimu," ringisnya merasakan Hazel mulai mencengkram lengannya.

"Kalau begitu akan kubuktikan rumor itu apakah itu palsu atau benar," ujar Hazel kemudian mendaratkan bibirnya pada bibir milik Clara.

Mendapat penolakan membuat Hazel menahan tangan Clara. Setelah tidak berkutik, barulah Hazel membopong tubuh Clara ke atas tempat tidurnya.

"Bagaimana kau akan membuktikannya?" tanya Clara menatap mata Hazel yang telah menindihnya.

"Mudah saja, kau mendesah dan memohon agar aku memasukimu maka rumor itu palsu," balas Hazel tersenyum miring.

I was invited to the grill tonight with Caroline. So the moment i got home I told Cecil that she didn't have to cook dinner tonight. I went straight to my room and drank the last of my blood bags.

"Well this means I gotta either get more blood bags or start drinking from the vein. Then again last time I drank from the vein I almost killed the poor girl. Good thing i didn't. But I'm still stuck with the dilemma of either more bags or vein. Why not both. I should probably tell Samantha about the supernatural. Maybe even get her a hybrid bodyguard. Yeah that sounds like a good idea." When I finished making my plans I decided to put them to action. I picked up my phone and dialed Samantha's number.

"Hello this is Samantha Blake how may I help you." I could hear the amusement in her voice as she said that. She's like a sister to me, but she is still technically my secretary.

"Come on Sammy don't be like that we're practically family and who else but me has your personal number." I say very dramatically.

"I know but it still amuses me to no end. me one of the richest people in the world, but yet I am nothing but a secretary." She says mockery dripping from every word.

"Very well, anyway is there a chance that you can come visit me anytime soon i miss you so much dear sister." I state once again very dramatic.

"I'll have to move somethings in my schedule, but i think I can visit in two weeks. But then again I must ask why. You don't usually call me to ask me to visit. It must be something serious." She says and I can just feel curiosity oozing over the phone.

"Oh it is quite serious indeed, but I'll let it be a surprise. Wouldn't want to ruin what I want to tell you." I say very mysteriously.

"Very well then, when you get like this I know its best to just wait for the surprise instead of trying to pry it from you or God help me guess what it is." She says exasperated.

"Ahh, you know me so well dear sister. Anyway I have to go tata." I say before closing the phone. When I check the clock it's already six, so I should probably start getting ready. I head for the shower. After got out of the shower I had decide what to wear. In the end I chose to go with a nice blue slim body fit t-shirt, black leather jacket, black skinny jeans and black converse sneakers. I head downstairs to the garage and once again close my eyes and point a finger. When I open my eyes again I am pointing at my orange Mustang GT Shelby Cobra that just came out this year.

"Look out Damon you don't own the coolest car in town." I couldn't help snickering at myself. Now unlike my Ferrari this baby's engine roars to life and damn does it sound good. I spend my time enjoying the ride to the Mystic Grill, but like all good things it must come to an end. I arrive at the Grill and make my way on in as soon as I step in the establishment all eyes are on me. And like the bad ass that I am, I just calmly stroll to the booth where Caroline and her friends are sitting.

The moment Caroline sees me her face just lights up the room. I can't help but wonder where our relationship will take us.

"Hey Atticus so glad you could make it. This right here is my friend Bonnie. Our other friend Elena isn't here yet. So why don't we get started without her for now."Caroline says.

"Sure so who is gonna start off this little interrogation. The person I know or the one I don't." I knew they we're gonna interrogate me. It's just something highschoolers do with the new kid.

"I would like to start it off." Bonnie answers. She looks like the keeper of the group, the one keeps everyone in check. "So Atticus where were you born."

"Born in Manhattan New York. Lived there most my life traveled a lot as a kid. And before you ask my parents passed away last year. Moved to Mystic Falls Virginia, one cause the name is interesting and i always wondered what living in a little town would be like. Anymore questions." I ask back

Just as I say that the All-American dream boy comes and sits with us. He looks straight at me for a second. I feel like I know him, but I can't put my finger on it. So decided to do the one thing one should always do when you meet a friendly stranger.

"Hi I'm Atticus Carson. I never quite thanked you for giving me directions to the principals office." I introduced myself.

"Hi the names Matt Donovan." Oh so that's his name now it all makes sense. After he introduced himself he turned to Bonnie and started to question her just like in the show. And just like in the show Elena and Stefan walk in. And once again everything goes down just like i the show. Well up until Elena and Stefan sat down at our table.

"Hey guys, sorry I'm late. I also invited Stefan if you guys don't mind." Elena says to the girls without even realizing that I was there. So I decided to make my presence known. So I stand up and give a hand to Stefan.

 "Hey my names Atticus Carson. You're also new here right. We should be friends you know us new guys sticking together." I say with a small smile. That gets a chuckle from the girls around the table.

"Hi, Stefan Salvatore. Nice to meet you." He introduces politely. Now that basically everyone was acquainted with each other Caroline decided to talk about the bonfire tomorrow night. 

"Hey speaking of being new, that probably means you guys don't know about the party tomorrow," Caroline says staring at me a little longer than necessary, something I don't miss.  

"It's a back to school thing we do here." Bonnie says trying to clear up the vague story Caroline gave.

"I don't mind going except there is one problem." I say as if the problem is the most important thing in the world and everybody looks at me, they all want to know what the problem is. But before I can say it Caroline asks the question everyone was thinking.

"What's the problem." She asks

"I don't have a date." I responded nonchalantly and everybody looks at me with a face that says 'are you serious, that was you're problem.' And I just shrug it off. And I continue talking to myself basically. "Where am I going to find a date to a party tomorrow. I mean I could just ask some random girl, but I don't want to leave her alone midway the party. So it should be someone I know. That's the problem I don't know anybody. So I guess the choices I have at the moment are between Bonnie and Caroline. Elena seems spoken for with mister Stefan over there. So I should go with Caroline I know her better even if it's just by like 5 minutes." While I was talking everybody could hear me.

They each had different reactions Caroline seems happy. Bonnie seems neutral about the whole thing. Elena seems to be day dreaming about Stefan. Stefan seems to look at me with eyes that say 'damn right shes mine so back off.'  

So I finally turn to look at Caroline straight in the eyes. "Caroline would you like to be my date for this back to school bonfire thing tomorrow."

"Yes." She blurts out faster then she wanted to I suppose. Cause now she looks a bit embarrassed

"Great here is my phone number and my email address. Send me a message with you're home address and I'll pick you up at 8." I say to her then I check my watch and It's already nine gotta do some late night training and I have to call Samantha before I go to bed. "Well it was nice meeting you all but I have to go home and call my sister before she goes to bed to make sure she is oke. See you guys tomorrow."

What happens when a celestial decides to mess with the timeline. Or worse when he sends in someone who doesn't know the story. What happens when that anomaly happens to be a powerful hybrid. Well lets find out. (Caroline x OC)

Xi Yuan still remembered the day Elena had died. He was in coincidentally City M then. He had never seen Sun Cheng so distressed, so helpless before. He wasn't stable. So when the girl left him, Sun Cheng was beyond traumatized. He wasn't in any state to deal with the hospital paperwork or the death rituals. 
At that time, Xi Yuan had managed Elena's cremation, and her medical reports, and the hospital finances. All by himself. Sun Cheng had been a close friend to him, after all. It was then that he had found out about Elena's pregnancy. He couldn't imagine how his friend would've digested the news then. 'It is better for him to not know', he had figured. Since then, he had kept the secret caged inside his heart.
It was only when Rong Xinghe had asked him did he spoke of it. There was no point hiding it from her. She could read him anyway. Like the back of her hand. Most importantly, she was his woman. She knew what to do with his secrets, better than anyone. Even himself.
"I don't know, Xinghe.", the man sighed, "I am not sure about this. I mean, isn't it all in the past now? He might not be able to handle the truth. You tell me. What do you think about it?"
"I feel that he needs to know. I've been kept in the dark about Mom and Dad's death for years, Yuan. And it hurts. It hurt that my brothers lied to me. More than the truth itself.
"I understand their reasons. And I love them for looking out for me. But it still hurts. Even if the others have your best interests at heart. 
"Sun Cheng should know, Yuan. In fact, it would be better if you tell him personally. Others might fabricate the truth. And I won't be able to see him hate you. You don't have many friends, so hold onto the ones you have. They are worth being held onto, you know.", the girl answered after thinking for some time. 
"I get it.", the man nodded, "I will give him a call later. Or maybe a video call."
"By the way, what would you have done if you were in his shoes?", the girl rested her head against the black leather seat and closed her eyes, "If some other woman was to create differences between us, how would you handle it?" 
Xi Yuan became silent. He thought about it. He couldn't imagine Rong Xinghe leaving him like that. He could accept her rage or even her dislike towards him. But the possibility of her never coming back, the possibility of her death... was frightening. And unacceptable. He could never make peace with that. 
"Firstly, I do not allow you to even consider leaving me like how Elena left Cheng. No matter what happens Xinghe, you aren't permitted to punish me like that.", the man took a deep breath, "You should know how important your every breath is, how important your life is. Your brothers and the public of this country look up to you. So do not think of suicide. Ever."
"Okay, okay.", the girl's smile faded. She could tell he was scared. The uncertainty in his voice gave that away. Although unintentionally, she had made him think of the worst. That must've made him feel horrible, she thought. Subconsciously, her heart ached for him. "I will never do it. I won't end my life. I promise."
As he listened to her soft voice reassuring him, the man finally let out the breath he was holding for who knows how long. As long as they were on the same page about that... it was all good. 
"Secondly...", he continued with a smile across his lips this time, "You should know how stubborn I am. I kept pursuing you, even after you rejected me in New York. Remember? 
"I would've done everything to win you back. I would've fought for you. And I wouldn't have stopped until you listened to me. I wouldn't have accepted defeat. There was no way I would've allowed an outsider to just walk into our lives and ruin 'us'."
Hearing that brought peace to her heart. Xi Yuan was one of the most sought-after businessmen across the globe. Naturally, he had self-esteem as high as that of the California redwoods. Even so, he didn't care about his ego when it came to protecting their relationship. He'd rather bow down to her than letting her go. That was why she loved him. Even if she was to give up on them someday, he would never do it. 
"Thirdly...", he resumed, "I would never let someone like Qui Chin carry my child. I would've had it aborted."
"You... Don't you think it would've been heartless? To hurt an innocent unborn?", the girl frowned.
"An innocent unborn whose heart hadn't started beating, and whose fingers wouldn't have shaped by then. Xinghe, I have never allowed my emotions to control me. Not until I met you. In front of you, I lose control.
"But I wouldn't have destroyed the child's life like that. Especially when I knew I could never give it the love a father was supposed to provide."
"Got it.", the girl replied. That was understandable and rational. A loveless upbringing was worse than abortions, she could agree with her darling on that. 
"What is it?", the man laughed, "I know you still have more questions." He could hear it. He knew it.
Rong Xinghe smiled tiredly, looking out of the window, dazed, "I was just wondering if you would you abort our child too if I were pregnant right now?"
Before Xi Yuan could reply to the question, he heard a loud screeching sound of the tires, and then of someone swearing and hitting onto the breaks. It didn't take the couple too long to realize that Xi Wei had been listening to their conversation all along. Silently. Too focussed on his driving to pass any comments. But that didn't, in any way implied, that he was deaf. Did it?
Worse of all, he didn't know that Xi Yuan and Rong Xinghe hadn't yet taken the 'step' in their relationship. That they hadn't been sexually involved with each other yet, and that they were still taking it slow. Baby steps. One at a time. 
As the series of cars following behind the man's SUV crashed into each other, the motorists and the passengers stepped down their vehicles, frustrated and enraged. They surrounded the man's car and started banging onto the 'not so see-through' window glass connected to the driver's seat, cursing him.

She further expounded, "I was still disturbed from last Saturday's kidnapping attempt, that I asked permission from Darwin to take a leave for today… When he learned about what happened to me, he told that it was you  - apparently, the person who put a stop to the kidnappers was another boss of mine!"
Andrea smiled as she shook back her hand. She thought Anna was being very modest. It was just a year ago when Darwin accepted Landon Song's offer. For the first four years of working with Intramed Wise, Anna became their head scientist. She was responsible for the new formulation of two vaccines that raised the company sales by 30%. 
Following her achievements was the sudden acquisition of four laboratories from M&L Song Pharmaceuticals, Michael Song's company. All the said properties were transferred directly to her name.
Darwin had to make it appear as if it was a lifetime contract; for Anna Millar to commit her entire work to Intramed Wise in exchange for owning the said laboratories. 
It was the first stage of Landon Song and Darwin's agreement. Ultimately, Anna would get her fair share of the profits coming from all new drugs and vaccines that was expected to be developed from her side. 
"Anna, what a coincidence indeed! I am also happy to finally meet the woman who made my wallet extra fat!" Andrea said before giggling at her own pleasantry. 
"What brings you here, Mrs. Lu?" Anna asked. 
"Oh, you know, after the incident last weekend, The West Merryl Academy refused to take my children. So I'm looking for a school that would… and here I am!" Andrea explained. 
Anna was disheartened to hear Andrea's predicament. She said, "I'm so sorry. I should have spoken against Elena that day. It was wrong for her to suggest that your children would be a poor influence. It was a good thing that I came here to personally excuse my son's absence... Maybe, I can help."
She explained to Andrea how the principal of the Washington Day Academy was a wife of a Military Admiral and that her children were trained to follow the footsteps of their father. "And also," she added. "The principal is a distant cousin of mine. Which is exactly why I had my son, Justin, study in the same school."
"Well, you might just be my lucky stars today, Anna. Shall we get going?" Andrea answered with relief. Her worries would finally be addressed. 
The two went straight to the principal's office, where Andrea finally had her children enrolled.
Just as Anna expected, Rebecca Miller-Wright, the principal and her cousin, sided with Andrea. She admitted that Elena Rogers warned her about Andrea's arrival, but hearing the full story from Anna herself, she was instead grateful that Justin was saved from the kidnappers. 
Hearing Rebecca reveal this, Andrea was confused and then turned angry. She asked with a frown, "What in the world did I do to this woman that she made so much effort to prevent my children from getting a decent education?"
The two other ladies chuckled and eventually, Anna explained, "Actually, Mrs. Lu, me and Elena, we also don't see each other eye to eye. In fact, she loathes me. You see, Mrs. Lu, Elena's husband, is a shareholder of M&L Song Pharmaceuticals."
Anna was silent for a moment, seemingly ashamed to tell, "That was  where I used to work." She looked down, blinking a few times, hesitant to say more. "She thinks that I stole some of M&L Song Pharmaceuticals' research."
Andrea pursed her lips at the discovery. It made her wonder if Elena Rogers was aware of her identity, to begin with. "I see. How interesting. So apparently, we were meant to be rivals from the start. I imagine, she hates Intramed Wise."
Anna nodded at Andrea's words before saying, "She has given her opinions, sometimes in public, but there was nothing she could do. Darwin presented all documents revealing the purchase of the laboratories, including all research that has been done under M&L Song Pharmaceuticals - all paid and all documents signed by - "
Yet again, Anna stopped herself, thinking twice of saying the name. After noticing that Andrea was waiting for her to finish, she said, " It was signed by their President, Micheal Song. In fact, he had announced it publicly to clear the tension between two companies."
While Rebecca was agreeing through her gestures, she added, "In any case, Elena conflicts with many, even here at the school. Strangely though, her children are well behaved. "
"Wait… Are you saying her children are enrolled in this school?" Andrea asked in horror, feeling her blood boil once again.
"Eh.. yeah, that is the thing that I was about to tell you," said Anna as she gave a sneer. "Yes, she has two children, both in elementary that are enrolled in this same academy, but from what I have heard, they aren't hers. Elena is the second wife of Paul Rogers."
Andrea's eyes turned devilish. She pouted her lips and mentally included Elena Rogers in her to do list for that evening. She said, "How - exciting."
Andrea did not plan on making enemies for the entirety of their temporary relocation in the US, but this certain Elena Rogers sure made her think otherwise. Still, she will try to hold herself back, but if provoked, Andrea would not think twice of using her claws. 
The moment that she returned to their home, Andrea quickly researched the woman. Elena Rogers, Previously Elena Moore, was the second wife of Paul Rogers. An actress who never made it to the big screen, married a businessman ten years older than her. She had a long list of ex-boyfriends and failed business investments, along with an eye-catching number of plastic surgery. 
When she checked on the profile of Paul Rogers, she could not deny the good looks of the man that she complimented, "Oooohh… nice catch there Elena  - What? This guy is forty? Unbelievable! He is too handsome to be forty  - "
"Who- is- handsome?!" She turned to find her angered husband squinting at her, his arms crossed against his chest.
"Pfft! What? No way! I said his hand was gruesome! Handgruesome!" Andrea lied as she quickly closed her laptop and jumped at Lu Fang. She kissed his face multiple times before saying, "You, on the other hand, are generous, smokey sexy, ravishing, and extremely delicious. Rrrr!"
The man continued to throw narrow his eyes at Andrea for seconds before answering, "You think you can get away with those words after checking out another man, Mrs. Lu?" said Lu Fang as she tightened his hold against her waist. "I'm going to punish you tonight."

Andrea closed her eyes and held his face giving him small kisses before answering. "I love you too." 

"Babe, I know I said I'd wait till we get married, but… - " 

"Shhh…" She interrupted him and teasingly bit her lip before smiling. She gave him another set of kisses before finally adding, "I never asked you to wait… I want you too…"

 "Andy, tell me about your family? What have you been up to before we met?" 

Andrea's head was leaning against his torso thinking of what to say to him. She was suddenly silent and began sorting through a pile of secrets in her head, trying to decide where to start. 

She then turned to the side and hugged him tightly. 

"Andy?" 

"Sometimes, I wonder if I am that really important to you."

BANG! BANG! 

Lu Fang closed his eyes anticipating pain to follow but as he opened his eyelids, he felt nothing.

“Andy! Andy!” 

He screamed at the top of his lungs when he realized it was Andrea and not him who received the bullets and fell off the cliff.

Inside a private facility, a woman woke up from a coma and the first thing she did was to call her sister. “I want you to arrange a marriage for me. Marry me off to the CEO of Lu-Wei Enterprises, Lu Fang.”

"Attention everyone!" The gymnastic professor yelled to overcome the background noise of chatting and laughing throughout the large hall.

"Please make two lines with your chosen pair." She continued with her nasal voice. "Today we have a special assistant to help us with training." Her voice became solemn while concluding the sentence.

Elena coupled with Rex, while Giulia stood in front of her brother. "Let's show these puppies how it's done!" Rex smirked with amused eyes, receiving in return a snort from a Black Devil wolf.

The first weeks at Redwood High went on smoothly, after their first eventful day, with the fight and Marco meeting his broody mate. Glances and stares were the only attention Elena and Giulia were receiving and, in all honesty, they also managed to become friendly with some Black Devil classmates. Rex was fully accepted in the Redwood football team, as he was one of the best players.

And about Marco, well... he was a very different case. In several occasions, when he appeared from behind a corner or entered a room, many Black Devil students stopped talking and directly stared at him, petrified, like he had a black shadow hovering him everywhere he went. Other times, they slightly bowed their heads. 

Once, a young guy made Marco books scatter all over the floor, by accident, and was so mortified that fainted on Marco's feet.

At first, Marco didn't mind, pretending he wasn't affected. Either ignoring them or scoffing, like a superior being. However, after some more episodes, he was totally angry at those Devils students, at his unaware mate and, also, at Elena and Rex, who started to bow their heads ~ in a sarcastic way, to add fuel to a very pissed fire.

One afternoon, after a group of students had approached Elena's and Marco's direction and suddenly moved to the opposite way, Marco grunted loudly and called his mate by the phone. He complained with a certain extend of exaggeration that Elena was laughing so much she had to hang herself on Marco's stiff shoulder to not fall on the floor. She could imagine the speechless face of a shocked Crucifero on the other line, under his mate's attack. Marco could be such a drama queen when he wanted to.

When the day after, the majority of Black Devil students were missing and Rex sarcastically said that Crucifero had put them in chain and enslaved them... well, later on, they discovered his joke wasn't so far from the truth: they had undergone a tremendous training, barely allowed to eat and rest for the full day. Marco kept a satisfied grin on his face for the rest of the day, and not because he enjoyed the suffering of other fellow students. It was a gesture of care from his mate, even thought a bit dramatic and violent.

"Is Crucifero the special trainer today?" Elena asked Marco, busy with his phone.

"As if I knew what he does" He responded, rolling his eyes.

"Who could this special person be, then?" Giulia joined the conversation, ignoring her brother's pouting face.

"I heard from Crucifero that their Alpha is back. So maybe is him." Marco mentioned casually, checking his nails with too much interest. Elena and Giulia looked at each other and then back at Marco again. "Did Cruci actually tell you that?" Giulia questioned with a hint of suspicion. "Did he actually pronounce three words in a row?" Rex mocked from behind. Elena put her elbow over Marco's shoulder. "Crucifero already said three words in a row, Rex! Leave Marco alone!" She said with fake seriousness that didn't go unnoticed to a grinning Rex.

"HE IS MIIIINE!" Elena growled loudly, imitating Crucifero deep voice, and resulting in a flush of laughs from Rex and Giulia, a snort from Marco and some coughs from herself, since she forced her throat too much in the action of pretending to be Marco's mate. "That's karma!" Marco jeered and poked repeatedly at her sides, making Elena suffocating between more coughs and laughs. 

"Sooo.." Giulia intervened and looked at Marco with anticipation. "Pff yes ok!" Marco exclaimed rolling his eyes. "When I said 'I heard' I literally meant I heard." He explained.

"You mean you were eavesdropping your mate!" Elena stated, with fake accusation in her voice. His mouth trembled into a smile. "Well a mate has to do what he has to do!"

"I wouldn't be surprise if you were checking his phone either." Giulia mentioned casually. When Marco didn't reply and held a guilty face, Rex was shaking his head, muting "Stalker".

"So! Go to the point." Elena continued.

"You heard Crucifero talking to someone and you have figured out his Alpha is back"

"No! I assumed it!" Marco replied while resting his elbow on Rex's shoulder nonchalantly. "He was repeating the name 'Mirko' and 'Alpha' in the same conversation in a way that they are the same person and also in a way that the same person happened to be on the phone with Crucifero himself... probably." He said in a complex way, on purpose to confuse them.

Giulia pursed her lips, while Rex chuckled.

"So you spied on him while he received a call from, 'probably', his Alpha, whose name is, 'probably', Mirko." Rex traduced the long speech, while Marco blushed and finally nodded.

"And by the way he was speaking, you are sure that his Alpha is back." Giulia concluded, receiving another nod. While her friends where laughing at Marco, Elena was lost in her thoughts, reflecting about the strange shivers she felt when she heard that name...

Just the name made her feel warm from the inside, while Titilas was purring like a radiator.

Why did she feel that way?

And then, a very tall guy with shady eyes made his entrance from the main door of the gym. An aura of pure power and domination was spreading from this new werewolf. It was very difficult to detect how old he was at first sight, he could have been around 25 but also at his early thirties.

"Gamma Rolando is here." Few whispers reached Elena super ears. So that was the 19 year old Gamma?!

"I heard Alpha is coming with him." Another voice spoke nearby.

"I hope he will come to school naked!" A she-wolf giggled.

Elena was getting used of constantly being surprised by Black Devil high-ranked members ~ a Beta and now a Gamma still so young, still in high school, even though they were in part time mode, probably because very busy with their pack duties... or torturing rogues… or eating them alive. Whatever was the reason, they were busy and full of responsibilities at that early age. And obviously they looked quite terrifying and serious, but those werewolves were barely adults!

Elena's curiosity to see their Alpha was killing her; she had been hearing about him and his famous black wolf, Craken, since she could remember.

Her wolf suddenly howled, making Elena in alert and looking around for any sign of danger.

'What's happening Tits?' She asked her with concern. Her wolf was acting crazy and moody since they had started the new school. Later at home, Elena was planning on seriously understanding what was going on with her.

"Alright people, start with a simple punch and deviation exercise." The Gamma commanded with no emotions; his eyes scanned Marco briefly and then moved away so quickly that Elena could have imagined it.

"Yes Gamma, he is the best person as well as the famous mate of the Killing Machine from your pack!" Elena smiled at her thought.

When all the students faced each other and began the exercise, he started to walk around, giving feedback. He also stopped few fights between his low-tempered pack members. Just a glare from him was enough to pacify disputes.

Elena must admit he was frightening even for her, already used to her father and some of the Full Moon Warriors' ferocity. His eyes were so cold and empty, Elena felt sorry for this young person ~ it was like witnessing a rough and malicious soul trapped in the body of a normal young guy.

Black Devil pack members probably assumed that Full Moon's ones were weaker, solely because their work-out sessions were more human, but they could have not been more mistaken. In fact, when the time of wrestling came, Elena and her friends won literally all the times, and very quick.

Their Gamma never showed any kind of emotions, apart from when Marco was about to fight a large brute from Black Devil: there he was slightly more attentive and stiffer, perhaps under menace of his Beta, who surely had commanded him to keep an eye on Marco. The latter, at first, could seem less strong compared to a massive Rex, but it was all appearance: his Beta blood and cunningness were so much part of him, that Marco was a tenacious and smart adversary.

"Alright!" Gamma Rolando interrupted all the chatting after the fight sessions were over.

"Black Devil members listen up!" He commanded. "Your Alpha will be joining soon for a short meeting about your new training schedule." He continued, shushing everyone instantaneously at the mention of their Alpha's visit.

"Full Moon and rogues, you are dismissed from this class." The Gamma didn't wait for any reply and moved to talk to the teacher, who was now agitated and sweating.

Elena bit her lips, feeling more curios than ever by their Alpha arrival at the school. She really felt a weird pull and curiosity toward him and wanted to see how he looked like in reality. With a Beta and a Gamma like those two elements, the Alpha could probably arrive at the school directly in his wolf form with his dark wings and red horns.

"Remember that the volleyball trials will be held tomorrow over here" A random voice interrupted Elena's thoughts. "That would be fun!" An excited Giulia giggled, hugging Elena with one arm and Rex with the other. "I will come to cheer!" Rex said, mimicking her voice with a fake girly tone, which cost him a nudge from Giulia.

"Come on Rex, haven't you already checked out all the chicks of the school?" Marco replied with an exasperated expression. Now he had a mate, so Rex lost his partner in crime.

"They are never enough for our big boy here, right Rexy?" Elena laughed and pinched Rex cheeks, the same way you would do to a baby. And, as babies normally hated it, Rex wasn't different. "You little rat!" He caught Elena and threw her on his shoulder, among the laughs of Marco and Giulia, while Elena groaned.

And then, out of nowhere, Elena was hit again.

That amazing scent.

The same one she sniffed the first day at school. The scent that launched her in the middle of a wild forest: there it was, in the air again. Her wolf was howling uncontrollably, but Elena ignored her, lost in her world. She couldn't explain the sensations that were exploding inside her, the pure feeling of completion and magical bliss. She glared at the main entry of the gym and felt the inexplicable need to run and open it, like there was a magnet pulling her over there to reveal what or who was behind it.

And then, suddenly, while Elena was on one of Rex's shoulders like a sac of potatoes, with her hair like a messy nest all around her face and her legs kicking the air (or Rex) to get free, he entered from that same door she just stared, just opposite to where they were heading. The most beautiful creature she had ever lied eyes on, pure raw beauty and primitive power.
